Grey matters

Nee-grows are low-IQ, prone to violence, primitive, and have poor impulse control. Yes, it’s all YOUR fault, Kemosabe.

Black children living in poverty face increased instances of stress and trauma that can alter their brain development, a new study found.

Researchers found that increased stressors like economic hardship and systemic racism play a significant role for Black children and can lead to the development of mental health issues as they age, the study said.

The stressors contribute to Black children having less gray matter in their brains, a byproduct of absorbing “toxic stress.” The study defines the stressors as “prolonged exposure to adverse experiences” that lead to excessive stress hormones and “disrupt the immune and metabolic regulatory systems.”

In the study, researchers found that Black children often developed behavioral problems later in life such as PTSD, anxiety and depression. These children also were susceptible to drug and alcohol abuse and suicide attempts and were likely to commit violence, the study said.

Black children showed lower amygdala, hippocampus, and PFC gray matter volumes compared with White children.

Bold mine, to highlight the way CNN just might be reversing cause and effect here, because reasons.

The hippocampus plays a number of crucial roles, including regulating emotions, motivation, hormonal activity, autonomic activity, and memory formation.

Probably the most well recognized function of the hippocampus is its role in learning and memory. Although the exact mechanisms remain somewhat mysterious, it is believed that the hippocampus receives and consolidates information, allowing for establishment of long-term memories in a process known as long-term potentiation (LTP). It also plays a role in spatial memory, allowing us to keep track of where things are, as well as where they are in relation to each other; as such, it is instrumental in the formation of cognitive maps.

There have been numerous reports linking tumors, lesions, and epileptogenic activity in humans within the hippocampus to aggressive reactions, ranging from minor hostility to explosive acts of violence. The hippocampus’ role in mediating aggression and rage appears to be dependant on the region of the structure that is stimulated: activation of the temporal pole, i.e. the region closest to the amygdala, stimulates predatory or fight behavior; while activation of the region closest to the septal pole instead suppresses those impulses.

If any of that behavior sounds at all familiar to you, then you are definitely a RAYCISS™ for sure. Divemedic finds CNN’s conclusions a tad sketchy.

I was with them on the other evidence. Yes, there is evidence that black children are likely to be poor, have incarcerated parents, and lower intelligence. I agree. What they are essentially saying is that blacks are poor, less intelligent, and more likely to be criminals than are whites, and that there is a biological and physiological basis for this. That’s exactly what I have been saying for years. What I have a problem with is the conclusion that is unsupported by any evidence presented by this so-called study- that it’s white people’s fault.

This seems like junk science with no control group and little in the way of actual, well, science. When I was a teacher, had one of my students turned in an unsupported conclusion like that one, it likely would have received a poor grade.

Hey, if it wasn’t for junk science, shitlibs would have no science at all to back up their politically-motivated arguments.

Old Media launches pre-emptive strike

In typical dishonest fashion, against their latest hate-object.

DeSantis Derangement Syndrome: The media get even more unhinged

For those of us with already-low expectations for the leftist media, they’ve been working to lower that bar even further in their coverage of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

You’d think these press organizations would have learned from their Trump Derangement Syndrome, when they burned trust in so many institutions, including and specifically their own, trying to fight President Donald Trump. Instead, they’ve simply substituted DeSantis in their activist, bile-filled, often-totally-wrong rants.

CNN reporter John Blake sent this note to DeSantis’ press secretary, Bryan Griffin, asking for comment after the gov blocked a woke high-school class: “I’ve talked to one of the nation’s leading scholars on fascism who, along with another scholar who is an authority on fascism, say that DeSantis’ decision echoes similar decisions made by fascist dictators to force what one historian calls ‘collective amnesia’ about the past.”

I’m writing a piece calling the governor a fascist, care to comment? And how long have you been beating your wife?

Griffin posted Blake’s request to Twitter, pulling back the curtain on how hit pieces calling America’s most popular governor a “fascist” get made.

The Daily Beast ran an entirely fictitious account, likely written in crayon, of the DeSantis team paying influencers and “bot farms” on Twitter.

DeSantis for his part talks directly to Floridians and calmly explains his policies, which Floridians continue to support despite the media hoopla. He comes to his press conferences armed with facts and never lets the media get the better of him. He and his team have been teaching a master class in how to handle the dishonest press.

But they shouldn’t have to. Even those who don’t share his politics should speak up and say the coverage is absurd and lack of trust in news organizations has hurt us all. But they won’t because there are elections to win.

Well, that, plus they just enjoy the near-sexual frisson deceitfully slandering their adversaries and bringing them down provides them so much they really can’t help themselves. It’s too great a temptation for the snarling, yappy little ankle-biters to resist.

As for Ron The Great, he’s been an excellent governor, accomplishing several real and worthwhile things aimed at undoing many of the Great Leaps Forward made by Florida Leftards. Which is exactly why they hate him so desperately: love him or hate him, see him as a genuine reformer or just another grubby politician on the make, there’s no denying that DeSantis has been damned effective as governor of Florida.

And that’s what counts most at this point. The Sovereign States are where all the action is; for the most part, all the national political maneuvering and Titanic-deck-chair reshuffling hardly even registers with me anymore, it’s close to irrelevant. We know for sure and certain that the President is nothing more than a figurehead—a malleable, pliant ventriloquist’s dummy trotted out to make speeches at fundraisers. Trump’s Oval Orifice ordeal raised the curtain on that harsh reality, and the Biden meat-puppet’s disastrous tenure has confirmed it beyond all doubt.

I mean, seriously now: even diehard Dim-O-Creeps are coming around, in steadily increasing numbers, to the manifestly-obvious fact that the Biden meat-puppet isn’t in charge of his own daily bowel movement, much less of Amerika v2.0’s bloated central government, whether they’re willing to openly admit to it yet or not. Not that they’ll balk at campaigning, fundraising, and voting for the addle-pated old crook in 2024, mind. After all, they ARE still D卐M☭CRATs, you know.

Despite all the will he-won’t he 2024 Presidential speculation, despite oleaginous operators from both sides of the political fence presuming to put words in DeSantis’ mouth for their own purposes, I have yet to see the man himself utter Syllable One about the chances of him deciding to take a run at the tarnished brass ring. That makes me very happy indeed; as I’ve said over and over, Real Americans need Ron DeSantis right where he currently is. He’ll do way more good for us as Florida’s governor than he’ll ever be permitted to as POTUS, if only as a morale- and resolve-booster showing that the Left juggernaut isn’t invincible—that with a little effort and determination, they can in fact be defeated.

Should he decide to run anyhow, it will reveal much about who and what Ron DeSantis really is down deep—his character, his intelligence, his ego, his ambitions, his grasp of current reality, even—none of it the slightest bit encouraging. That will be a truly sad day, both for us and for the nation its own self.

It isn’t a lie if you believe hard enough

Yet another wonderful quote from one of the best movies ever, 1984’s The Pope Of Greenwich Village: You don’t even bother to lie to me carefully anymore, Charlie. It’s an insult to be lied to so obviously.

FAKE NEWS: Newsweek Claims Ted Cruz Lied About Antifa Burning Down Cities

On the same day Newsweek ran a fake fact check of a study by MRC Free Speech America about Google’s censorship of Republican campaigns, the outlet also ran a “fact check” Wednesday smearing Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), claiming he falsely claimed Antifa “carried out a year of fiery, destructive protests across the U.S.”

Cruz’s comments came Monday on ABC’s The View, when he countered co-host Whoopi Goldberg’s attack on the right as violent: “Did I miss an entire year of Antifa riots where cities across this country were burning and police cars were being firebombed?”

Writer Tim Norton correctly noted Cruz was likely “referring to the protests that followed the death of George Floyd in 2020,” and the subsequent destruction of property in cities such as Minneapolis and then “Washington D.C., St Louis, Kansas City, Oregon, Atlanta, Seattle and New York City.”

The whiplash continued as he insisted Cruz was “significantly stretching the truth, even if taken figuratively” even though “many businesses were damaged or destroyed as a result of arson” because “Antifa is not a formalized group or association” and Black Lives Matter inspired global calls to action for racial justice. Really.

In other words, Antifa isn’t real and BLM protests made people feel special, so Cruz was…lying?

Let’s unpack this schizophrenic gobbledygook. First, it was interesting Norton said Antifa wasn’t real seeing as how Newsweek tweeted this on November 2, 2020: “Antifa plans wave of demonstrations on streets as U.S. election polls close.”

And on April 24, 2021, Newsweek itself posted an article with the title: “Antifa Activists Vow to Keep Fighting—Even as ‘Terrorists’”.

And it wasn’t just them. ABC News wrote in May 2021 about the constant barrage of left-wing violence in Portland, saying that “residents have waning patience for antifa” with “[m]uch of the blame for the chaos, property damage and violence over the last year have landed on the self-described anti-racist, anti-facist far left organizers.”

If Wikipedia floats your boat, they compiled a list of over 60 incidents having resulted from Floyd’s June 2020 murder.

If Norton wants to debate the facts, it’s best he do some research first.

Debating the facts fairly and honestly is the very LAST thing shitlib propagandists like Norton want to do, of course. They want to browbeat, bulldoze, and silence defiant truth-tellers with temerity enough to tell it like it is, as Cruz was here. If it wasn’t for lies, shitlibs wouldn’t have anything whatsoever to say. “Schizophrenic gobbledygook”? Well, yeah. But it’s also part of a plan, a strategy, and Ted Cruz knows that as well as any other sentient soul with even a wee dram of integrity and observational acumen in ’em does.

Democracy dies in darkness dishonesty

Fixed it for ya, WaPo. No need to thank me, I’m happy to help.

As anyone with a passing familiarity with American history and demographics knows, blacks are found most commonly in Southern states as that is where most African slaves lived. While many of their descendants moved North, most did not. Even still, the blackest state in the Union, Mississippi, is “only” 37.9% black. So even though Mississippi has a ton of blacks, they have also had a Republican governor for 26 of the last 30 years. MS voted for Trump by a margin of 16% in 2020 and for Orange Man with an even larger margin in 2016. Mississippi last voted for a Democrat for President when Carter barely beat Ford in the state in 1976 but the election prior Nixon beat McGovern in the state by a whopping 78% to 19%.

You see, two things can be true at the same time. Republicans can hold political power in a state AND that state can have a large black population. Even the state with the highest black percentage of the population is barely over 1/3 black. You would think Milbank would use his tribe’s vaunted high verbal IQ to figure this out, but of course he already knows this is the case and is simply lying for political reasons.

You can have high violent crime in a state run by Republicans without making the leap to say that those Republican voters are the ones committing the majority of violent crime.

7 of the states listed on the top murder rates on the right are among the dozen states in America with the highest percentage of blacks. Curious! What about the states not on the list of blackest states? Well New Mexico has it’s own demographic issues. As of the 2020 census New Mexico reported a population nearly 50% mestizo and climbing fast, and adding in illegal aliens the population became majority mestizo many years ago with the largest percentage being of Mexican ancestry. As for Missouri and Kentucky, their homicides are overwhelmingly concentrated in two cities, St Louis (43% black) and Louisville (35% black) respectively.

Also, and again previously proven, blacks are responsible not just for a disproportionate percentage of murders in America but are actually responsible for an absolute and growing majority of homicides, breaking the 60% rate last year among known murderers (see: A New Record!) while the real rate is closer to 75-80% (see: It Isn’t Really 13/50).

Is Dana Milbank lying?

Dunno. Are his lips moving?

Milbank, for the legions of you who have far more important things to do than to bother overmuch about his stupid ass, is a smarmy shitlib chowderhead (BIRM) who has enjoyed a long, cozy sinecure at the execrable WaPo perpetrating serial outrages against actual journalism. Sido crunches the numbers to perform a most righteous, surgically-precise old-school fisking of the witless assclown, and it’s a joy to behold.

Tried posting this in Arthur’s comment section, but Blawgsplat ain’t having any of that, so I’ll just put it here: via the esteemed Divemedic, the elephant in the room vis a vis any discussion of crime, criminals, criminality, and urban dysfunction.

The nigger in the woodpile...
Yo, wuzzup?

What can one say but, Heh.

Down in flames, quietly

A story I find curious, for more reasons than one. Bold mine, so as to highlight the curious part.

The Sunken Felicity Ace Cargo Carrier Is a Pollution Hazard for Undersea Life
The ship that went down with thousands of Porsches and Volkswagens is bad news for local marine organisms.

Thousands of cars, lithium-ion batteries, oil, gas, and an entire cargo ship now litter the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. On March 1, the car carrier Felicity Ace sank beneath the waves near the Portuguese Azores archipelago. Now, ecologists are worried that pollution from the wreck will impact the rich undersea environment the carrier has invaded.

The ship, carrying thousands of vehicles to the United States from Europe, caught fire about two weeks before it listed to one side and sank about 200 nautical miles (230 miles) from the Azores. Its position on the Extended Continental Shelf puts it out of Portuguese jurisdiction, according to the international Law of the Sea Convention. In other words, this region of seafloor is far enough away from land that no country can automatically take over its management.

Felicity Ace sits 3,000 meters (1.9 miles) below the ocean’s surface. Upon impact, the wreck definitely affected the sea floor and all of the organisms that make their home there, deep sea ecologist Ana Colaço tells Popular Mechanics.

Her work at the Institute of Marine Research at the University of the Azores focuses on deep-sea habitats around the islands. “The most important thing to know is that the deep sea is not a desert,” she says. “If the ship is on soft sediment, there are sea cucumbers, crustaceans, and worms that live on this seafloor. There may be sponges and corals. Of course, there are fish of several kinds—the diversity of the deep sea is very high.”

When the ship went down, it was carrying 2,200 tons of fuel, 2,200 tons of oil, and up to 4,000 vehicles, some of which carried electric car batteries, the Associated Press reported the day after the sinking. Hardly any wreckage remained above the surface, but tug boats were using hoses to break up a small oil slick at the site. Portugal has been keeping a Navy vessel and an Air Force plane on site to monitor for further signs of surface pollution.

Just for the hell of it, here’s a pic of the ill-fated tub all a-smoke and aflame.

Suspicious, or not so much?
Hinky dinky polly-vous

Admittedly, we’ll probably never know how the aboard-ship fire started. But come now; with those notoriously deadly EVs and their prone-to-spontaneous-combustion batteries in the hold, we know, now don’t we? It would seem that Praetorian Media knows, at least, in light of the near-total news blackout of this event. A small spate of most cursory and obligatory coverage in the immediate aftermath of the unscheduled self-scuttling, followed by a complete media blackout?

Oh, puh-LEEZE. If this had been one of those dreaded oil tankers, the disaster would still be front-page news, we’d never hear the end of it. Hell, even today your Mark 1-Mod 0 shitlib “journalist” will now and then work in a derisive mention of the accursed Exxon Valdez when he can manage it, ferchrissakes. But, since the loss of the Felicity Ace was very likely blamable on the sacred EV, the Progtard Protected Class rule is in full effect.

Curious? I’d say so, yeah. But hey, I can be rude like that, just ask anybody.

An odd omission

HAD to have been an oversight, I’m guessing.

‘Take your a** home!’ Heavily-armed black rights groups march through Austin chanting anti-illegal migrant slogans, demands Biden ‘close the border’ and calls for ‘reparations to be paid NOW’

Armed activists with a coalition of black self-defense groupsmarched in Austin, Texas over the weekend calling for an end to illegal immigration and demanding that President Biden close the borders.

Some of the activists chanted ‘close the borders’ and ‘take your a** home’ as they marched toward the Texas Capitol in the ‘Second Amendment Unity Walk’ on Saturday.

The march was led by The Elmer ‘Geronimo’ Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club. Their demands also included reparations for descendants of enslaved people and a hate crime bill protecting Black Americans.

The group faced opposition from a handful of Trump supporters and other protesters gathered at the Texas State Capitol to support January 6 defendants.

Saturday’s march comes after Texas Gov. Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey sent thousands of migrants by bus to Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago, Illinois – all three sanctuary cities that have pledged not to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

Video and photos of the third annual ‘Second Amendment Unity Walk’ show marches armed with guns as they walked through the streets of Austin toward the Texas State Capitol.

Other than The Elmer ‘Geronimo’ Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club, several other groups were involved including the Black Riders Liberation Party.

‘Reparations now!’ the group chanted, according to Ford Fischer who tweeted from the march.

‘We don’t say ‘hands up, don’t shoot!” one explained. ‘Guns up!’ they chanted. ‘Shoot back!’

‘Close the borders!’ they chanted. One yelled ‘build the wall’ but the phrase didn’t catch on.

‘Immigrants, we’ve been here!’ another person yelled. ‘Take your ass home!

Vehicles honked their horns at the activists as they marched through the intersections chanting: ‘What do we want? Closed borders! When do we want it? Now!’

Once at the capitol building, a speaker summarized the group’s demands as ‘Reparations now, delineation, a stop to illegal immigration.’

Aside from that increasingly tedious “reparations” horseshit, I must admit I’m not finding a whole hell of a lot to disagree with here. Brothas got some right-nice hardware, if the pics are any indication. As for that strange “omission” I mentioned, here t’is: I scanned the whole piece without ever once running across a single usage of words like “extremist,” “radical,” “violent,” “terrorist,” etc. Didn’t see any of the usual FBI agents provocateurs in amongst ’em, either. Funny, that.

Second look at the Bundy Ranch standoff?

The Bundy family’s take on our awful central government’s true nature was more accurate than they’ve ever been given credit for.

BUNKERVILLE, NEVADA—The Bundy Ranch roundup has understandably stirred thin-stretched emotions as the federal government seizes cattle belonging to the Bundy family. The family settled in the late 1800’s and has ranched in the area since. The federal government allowed Nevada ranchers to graze their cattle on federal tracts of land adjacent to their private properties for generations. The federal government later created the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to administer and “protect” the vast swaths of federal land—including the land the Bundy family’s livelihood was—and still is—dependent upon. The BLM began restricting ranchers’ usage of federal lands to protect various species, and the BLM decided to restrict the Bundy family’s usage of the federal land they historically grazed. The federal government told the Bundy family that a tortoise existed on the land and therefore the land’s usage for cattle would have to decrease—thus creating a scenario where the Bundy family could make fewer resources. A 20-year legal battle ensued.

There exist a number of elements to the story that inject shades of grey into the dominant media narrative. Perhaps hundreds of Bundy supporters have already shown up to the ranch area to “protect” the family and their land—which is federal land—but federal land such usage was promised to the family in the government’s efforts to get people to settle the West after Mexico ceded the land to the U.S. Court documents—discussed later in this article—reveal that the Bundy family decided at some point that the federal government was illegitimate and that they no longer had to give heed to the federal courts. The Bundy family patriarch has openly stated his willingness to use force against federal agents if they take his cattle off of the federal lands; the federal agents stand ready to use force against the family or their supporters if they interfere with the cattle removal. Both sides are armed, both sides are frustrated, and the rhetoric and hyperbole surrounding the entire matter has left many onlookers from around the world confused as to what is actually happening.

In the immediate aftermath of the infamous cattle roundup, Cliven Bundy granted a number of high profile media interviews continuing to deny—to the point of absolutely ignoring family history—what the federal courts have twice told him.

“I believe this is a sovereign state of Nevada,” Bundy recently told a radio reporter. “…I abide by all of Nevada state laws. But, I don’t recognize the United States Government as even existing.”

Oh, it exists right enough, I’m afraid. Cliven and several of his compatriots ended up finding that out the hard way. The thing I remember being struck by more forcefully than anything else at the time was the near-universal condemnation of the Bundys from the Right. Even folks whose ideological inclinations might be taken as suggestive of deep antipathy for FederalGovCo, its minions, and its nefarious works were suddenly tripping over themselves to join [wpdiscuz-feedback id=”hw7r99ujes” question=”Comments? Complaints? Thoughts?” opened=”0″]the mad rush to take the Almighty State’s side[/wpdiscuz-feedback] on this one.

Messenger: shot dead

You say you want the truth? You can’t handle the truth.

Zac Kriegman had worked at Thomson Reuters for more than six years, most recently as a director of data scientists. Concerned with data and statistics, Kriegman and his team advised numerous other divisions within company.

But in 2020, Kriegman noticed changes within the company, with coworkers publishing numerous articles about “White Privilege” on the company’s internal collaboration platform. When the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots broke out that summer, the platform was filled with support for the organization without any question as to the narrative being told about race in America.

“This concerned me. I had been following the academic research on BLM for years (for example, here, here, here and here), and I had come to the conclusion that the claim upon which the whole movement rested—that police more readily shoot black people—was false,” Kriegman wrote in an article published on Bari Weiss’ substack. “ The data was unequivocal. It showed that, if anything, police were slightly less likely to use lethal force against black suspects than white ones.”

If I had, oh, the next six-seven days to spend on absolutely nothing else, not to mention the inclination to do any such thing, I’d dig through the Innarnuts and commend to everyone’s attention the eleventy million billion kajillion times myself and other Righty bloggers have howled precisely this into the void over the last several years, beginning well before the advent of BLM in my own case. If anybody was wondering why I usually refer to said criminal/terrorist syndicate as Black Lies Murder, well, there you have it.

Kriegman discovered that, based on a database of police shootings compiled by The Washington Post, police have fatally shot 39% more unarmed white people than black people in the past five years. BLM activists have insisted, however, that since there are six times as many white people in America as black people, police should be shooting 600% more. Anything less, Kriegman wrote, is evidence to the activists of police bias.

Kriegman suggested that such a comparison isn’t as accurate as comparing “Black suspects who pose a grave danger and white suspects who do the same,” but wrote that there isn’t reliable data for such a comparison. Instead, he used Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County Patrick Frey’s calculations based on FBI data that found “black Americans account for 37 percent of those who murder police officers, and 34 percent of the unarmed suspects killed by police. Meanwhile, whites make up 42.7 percent of cop killers and 42 percent of the unarmed suspects shot by police—meaning whites are killed by police at a 7 percent higher rate than blacks.”

Kriegman broadened the analysis to include armed suspects, finding that with those numbers included, whites are shot at a 70% higher rate than blacks. He then mentions the only study that looks at the rate at which police use lethal force across racial groups, conducted by Harvard economist Roland Fryer. Fryer, who is black, tried to prove BLM’s narrative in 2016, but ended up disproving it by finding that, while black Americans and Latinos may experience some amount of police force, they are slightly less likely to be shot by police than whites.

“Unfortunately, because the BLM narrative was now conventional wisdom, police departments, under intense scrutiny from left-wing politicians and activists, scaled back patrols in dangerous neighborhoods filled with vulnerable black residents. This led to soaring violence in many communities and thousands of needless deaths—otherwise known as the Ferguson Effect,” Kriegman wrote.

Bet you can’t guess what happens next. Don’t be shy, now; go on, give it a whirl. I double-dog dare ya.

Kriegman wrote that his post was removed when he stated his concerns and told that if he discussed the issue on internal company communications channels, he would be fired. Without a resolution, Kriegman emailed colleagues and company leadership discussing the attacks. The next day he was told by Human Resources that he no longer had access to his company computer or communications systems. Three days after that, he was fired.

Gee, are you guys as shocked as I am at this wholly unprecedented turn of events?

A decade ago, my experience at Thomson Reuters would have been unthinkable. Most Americans probably think it’s still unthinkable. That’s what makes it so dangerous. Most of us don’t understand how deeply compromised our news sources have become. Most of us have no idea that we are suffused with fictions and half-truths that sound sort of believable and are shielded from scrutiny by people whose job is to challenge them. This is true, above all, of my fellow liberals, who assume that only Republicans complain about the mainstream media. But this is not a partisan issue. This is a We The People issue,” he wrote.

Oh, it’s worse than you think, pal. Although it certainly SHOULD be a “We The People issue,” well, sorry, but…it ain’t. Your experience at Rooters, sad as it is, would by no means have so much as moved the needle slightly on the Shock-O-Meter ten, twenty, thirty, or even forty years ago, much less struck any of us RightwingNaziHitlerdemons as anything like “unthinkable.” The media has been what it is for quite a long time now; those of us who pay attention to such arcane matters have been aware of it for quite a long time also.

It’s to everyone’s detriment that it should be this way, but this very much IS a partisan issue—demonstrably so, in light of at least two (2) sobering realities: 1) Rooters, along with every other Establishment Media outlet in every medium and/or format, is heavily biased in favor of the Left, has by now completely lost whatever sense of shame they might once have felt (if any) over using their platform to support the Left’s nefarious agenda, and helpfully skews its “journalism” accordingly, and 2) “liberals” do not find this at all inappropriate and aren’t troubled in the least by it, leaving the “complain(ing) about the mainstream media” field as the exclusive province of the Right. Having chosen to abandon the perfectly honorable profession of honestly and impartially reporting the news in favor of a holy crusade to Change The World ain’t helping any.

I opened by saying Rooters “can’t handle the truth,” but that’s being much more charitable than they deserve; it’s not so much that they “can’t handle” the truth as it is that they just flat loathe it. As is true of the shitlibs they serve, truth is to Rooters as garlic is to vampires.

How Biden’s Buttboys burned it all down

These Motherfuckers need to pay, and I mean pay DEARLY, too.

Killing Keystone: How Biden & The Left Destroyed American Energy Independence
In 2018 America became a net exporter of oil for the first time in decades, a status it maintained in 2020 as well. In 2021 the US once again returned to becoming a net importer of oil, with the US expected to import 62% more crude in 2022 than it did in 2020.

A December Scott Rasmussen national survey found 59% of voters believe that the Biden administration’s blocking of the Keystone XL pipeline project and another pipeline have contributed to rising gas prices across the United States.

JD Rucker adds:

The destruction of the United States economy began the moment Joe Biden was installed in the White House. This is a planned demolition to help usher in The Great Reset, expand Neo-Marxism, establish globalist control, and destroy American exceptionalism.

It started with the Keystone Pipeline.

And just kept on snowballing from there, although shutting down Keystone was the biggest single factor in destroying the Trump economy and bludgeoning Amerika v2.0 all the way into beggar-nation status. It’s difficult to adequately comprehend sometimes, just how fervent and implacable shitlib hatred for this once-great nation and its people truly is. It seems almost as if the heat of it is a physically palpable thing rather than just another symptom of their psychopathology: it literally burns them, blistering their very flesh and driving them even further into madness than they were already. It’s genuinely frightening to reflect on what such hate-filled, soulless, amoral fiends would be capable of doing to normal Americans in order to sate their obssessive lust for retribution, if they thought for one second they might get away with it. And any of us who’s still kidding himself otherwise about that is a damned fool.

I did give a tiny snort of pained amusement at that “59% of voters believe that the Biden administration’s blocking of the Keystone XL pipeline project and another pipeline have contributed to rising gas prices” business. As with the neverending cavalcade of “devastating” polls showing Biden’s popularity “plummeting” to a new low of between 35 to 39 percent, always and forever accompanied by the cawing of all too many of Our Guys gleefully announcing that Biden/Ogabe/Pelosi/INSERT_NAME_HERE is/are well and truly finished this time, and cannot possibly recover from this fatal crash ‘n’ burn!!! Then the whole meat-beat-go-round reboots next week with the release of the devastating—DEVASTATING, YOU HEAR ME!!!new (Holy shit, 35-39 percent! Spread some butter on this poor Demonrat oaf, he is TOAST!!). I’ve scratched my head over this vaudeville act ever since it first started during the Obama junta’s reign, and I still can’t figure out how even the most inattentive observer could swallow such twipe.

There’s more than one thing that bothers me about it, actually. For one, the very idea that there could actually be 35-39% of us out there who support these pricks, when we can all readily see with our own lyin’ eyes the wanton destruction the malefactors have so profligately wreaked regardless of what our political affiliation, ideology, intelligence, or religious faith might happen to be. My God, there would HAVE to be at least some Democrats, even, who aren’t buying into this bilge, wouldn’t there?

And yet, and yet. In Grampy Gropey, we have ourselves a blundering, graceless, decrepit old coot—a person of advanced years whose very sentience is open to serious question, which is being WAY more generous than the filthy bastard deserves— a lifelong political bunco artist who has never been particularly popular, respected, or well-thought of, by anybody at all. He is an arrogant, obnoxious reprobate whose corruption, greed, and shameless penchant for self-serving criminality at the expense of pretty much everybody around him have been thorougly chronicled and matters of general piublic knowledge for forty-some years now. Hell, Papa Grifter has openly bragged about himself, on camera, more than once. In career-politico terms, Dirty Joe has never been anything more than a back-bencher, a third-rate hack without so much as one legislative accomplishment to his name.

On the more personal level, Biden is notoriously unpleasant to be around, no one’s first choice to sit with at the bar over a quiet beer or three. He’s stiff and robotic in his public appearances, going through the motions by rote—unless a sudden Alzheimer’s eruption boils up, bringing forth the only genuine emotion you’ll ever see from him: red-faced, spluttering, incoherent rage. Never once has he evinced the slightest trace of empathy, altruism, or human warmth, even towards his own immediate family. Any sincerity Joe Biden has ever shown, he faked it. The oleaginous creep would try to make a mark out of Jesus Christ Himself, should the Son Of God ever defile His personal dignity so badly as to be caught keeping company with the suppurating carbuncle. Which, being our Lord and Savior and all, Jesus has way too much self-respect to ever, ever do.

Trust them not

For they are unworthy of such—faithless, manipulative, and bereft of moral rectitude.

Over the years, this humble blog has railed against the flood of lies discharged by our woke masters in government, and in the media, both legacy and new. It has become something of an obsession with your humble blogger; at the risk of becoming a one-note Johnny bore, I shall continue to rail.

Sorry, but, hey, it’s free of charge.

Our masters tell us so many lies that it proves difficult to pick one, or two, or three, or…whatever, to discuss. I will give it a try.

As you can see from my writings over the years on Putin and Russia, I have not become a Putin Puppet. In my view, however, Putin’s Moscow ranks as a second- or even third-tier threat to the US and the West; it certainly comes well behind the number two threat Beijing, and WELL BEHINDfar, far behind, the number one threat to our civilization, the Wokesters within our societies busily destroying our institutions and the underpinnings of our national identity and culture.
Amen to that.

None of us, outside of the top-most circles of Ukraine and Russia, has any good idea of events in the Ukraine-Russia war. What we, John Q. Public, know know proves very basic, VERY basic, indeed.

We know Russia has invaded Ukraine. We think we know that the invasion did not seem well-planned or executed. We know that this invasion, as true with any other of which I can think, has caused suffering and death to the people invaded, and, yes, by the way, I include in my list of invasions that transpiring along our own southern border. In the Ukraine case, we simply don’t know how much suffering and death; we must take the media’s “massacre” accounts with a fistful of salt. Look. Face it. It’s Russia; it’s Ukraine; it’s Eastern Europe. History shows that warfare there, though, of course, not there only, does not adhere to the Marquess of Queensberry Rules, much less to the Geneva Convention. I have no trouble believing, knowing (?), that innocent civilians or surrendering soldiers can and do face harsh treatment and even death at the hands of that day’s victors–and that the next day’s victors will reciprocate. I have no problem knowing that Russians and Ukrainians can act in a brutal fashion. Read about the two world wars, the Russian civil war, the Soviet wars with Poland and Finland, the fate of Napoleon’s army in Russia, etc., and you can easily imagine brutality on the fields of battle and in the cities of that region. The Katyn Forrest massacre comes readily to mind.

On Ukraine, my big problem, and I assume (Right? Wrong?) that of many others, arises from the lack of objective reporting; the reports, for example, on Russian atrocities in Ukraine seem much like those in British, French, and American newspapers of German atrocities in Belgium during WWI. Just a little too convenient. The narrative from Ukraine appears calculated, edited, censored, and massaged to cause maximum outrage in the audience, and, of course, heighten US and international support for involvement in this war. This narrative looks like, well, a narrative, rarely a good thing.

I don’t like this manipulation, especially given the record of those doing it. We, for example, have a “leadership,” illegitimately occupying the White House, which has not come clean about the corrupt Biden family’s ties to Ukraine and China. We have a media, old and new, yet to apologize for its lies re Trump-Putin collusion, quid-pro-quo, Hunter’s laptop, Rittenhouse, January 6, the grifters of BLM, Kavenaugh, Covid-19, climate change, the 2020 elections, and on, and on, and on. I generally don’t believe what comes from these liars who wish ill on Western Civilization, and work to destroy it.

Nor should you, nor should any of us. No impartial, reasonably intelligent American who didn’t spend the last five-six years fathoms deep in Rip Van Winkle-like slumber could possibly be taken in by the utter nonsense we have shoveled at us all day, every day. Bad enough that our mass media has proven beyond all doubt that it can no longer be relied upon for honest, factual journalism; what moves the needle of our current situation from Unpleasant all the way into the Dangerous red zone is that the deceivers, multitudes of them, are also embedded at every level of government, rendering that wholly untrustworthy as well. Which leaves out entirely the GloboHomoCorp megaplex, consisting of pretty much every American business enterprise not owned and operated by the Ma and Pa Kettle types who first started the thing. Add it all up and what you end up with is big-D Danger well beyond the merely ordinary variety—Danger so extreme humanity has only rarely seen the like of it.

Diplomad closes his post thusly: Why trust anything these people say? Why indeed. In truth, none but an irredeemable fool would. Or could. Or, y’know, should. And that’s a big, big problem, for all of us.

A government so quick to deceive its own people—whose first impulse is never to come clean but to lie, obfuscate or conceal—is a government that’s well into the death throes, whether or not it’s aware of it. Such a government will not, can not, survive for much longer, for reasons that aren’t terribly difficult to discern. For one thing, the people will quickly come to regard it, its officers, and all its works with unbridled contempt. As government scrambles ever more frantically to exert ever more authority over its ever more casually scornful and restive subjects, ever more of those subjects will just ignore it to the greatest extent they possibly can: sidestepping whatever of its edicts and decrees is practicable, complying only grudgingly with those they can’t evade. None of these ratios—the gradual crumbling of governmental integrity, the number of people aware of it, the slow-burn radicalization from “mass dissatisfaction” to “mass resistance” to “mass civil disorder”—are static; all will only increase, until the government falls.

As a deceitful government’s “elected” officials, appointees, and hirelings try to wield ever greater authority over the peasantry, the government will ironically find that very authority trickling through its fingers and away like a fistful of water. The more fiercely the tyrant struggles to maintain his grip on power, the more speedily power will be lost to him. Such displays of government’s haplessness and ineffectuality will only heighten the people’s contempt—another deadly irony that portends the awful fate stalking the reeling, tottering system like a jungle predator does a field mouse.

A like irony attends the untrustworthy government’s attempts to hide its affairs and intentions from Da Peepul: the more corruption they try to conceal, the more they wind up revealing instead. A policy of openness and full disclosure, or at least as full as can reasonably be expected these days without exposing legitimate state secrets to the squinty scrutiny of foreign adversaries, would serve both the government and its people far better. Unfortunately, the deceitful government can’t see this, and its subjects no longer expect it, assuming they ever did.

Breaking faith with its people is a self-inflicted injury that, as the crisis spirals out of all control, will eventually reach a stage beyond which a government’s collapse can no longer be forestalled. Collapse and ruin are the ineluctable byproducts of societal depravity, decay, and dissipation, hastened along by narcissism and selfishness. All the factors feed off of one another, each helping to accelerate and intensify the rest. It’s difficult at best to determine from the inside how far one’s country has traveled along the path to destruction. One can only try to ride the whole process out, and hope he’ll survive the trip.

PC worlds are colliding

Peak Wokester insanity reached?

For a solid five minutes this week, I believed that an elderly woman in New York City had killed and decapitated another elderly woman. I believed it because it was in the papers. It was there in black and white. In the apartment of this ‘83-year-old Brooklyn woman’, the New York Times reported, cops found the decapitated head of Susan Leyden, a 68-year-old lady who had gone missing. Police became suspicious of the 83-year-old woman and so they ‘searched her apartment’, the BBC said, wherein they found ‘a human head’. A few days later, not far from this seemingly evil woman’s apartment, they also found Ms Leyden’s leg and torso. Grim. And surely unprecedented. When was the last time a very old woman was alleged to have killed and then gruesomely dismembered another woman?

I’m still trying to wrap my brain around the idea that an 83 year old woman would be physically capable of such a thing in the first place.

Then it hit me. I got to the very final line of the BBC report and saw these words – this 83-year-old ‘now identifies as a transgender woman’. I got further into the NYT piece, too. Its headline may have said ‘She Killed Two Women. At 83, She Is Charged With Dismembering a Third’, but then came this killer line: ‘[she] was listed as male in earlier court records but now identifies as a woman.’ So it wasn’t a woman. It wasn’t an 83-year-old lady who somehow summoned up the wickedness and the power to allegedly kill and horrifically mutilate a 68-year-old woman. It was a man. The NYT’s headline was a flagrant lie. So was the BBC’s entire account of this ‘woman’, she, allegedly killing Ms Leyden and then brutalising her corpse. I had been told, in no uncertain terms, that a woman killed a woman, and it was completely untrue.

This case is horrifying for two reasons. First and foremost because a woman has been killed and dismembered. That is appalling and it is essential that justice is done. But it’s also horrifying because the media are refusing to tell us the truth about it.

No shit, Dick Tracy, where’s the fucking squad car? And you find this revoltin’ development shocking…why, exactly?

Two of the most established media institutions in the Western world are misinforming their readers, telling us that a woman murdered a woman, because they now put ideology before truth. They put being politically pure before reporting the facts. We should not underestimate how serious this is, what a betrayal of journalism it represents. It is so clear now: the ideology of woke poses a very real, very grave threat to truth, objectivity and the gathering and dissemination of accurate information.

Not one of which things have played any discernible role in Praetorian Media “journalism” for many a long year now.

This is not an isolated incident.

A serious contender for Understatement Of The Year, that.

This is an offence against truth, reason and the very ability of society to record crimes and to understand the problems that it faces. It is also deeply insulting to the victims of male violence, who could find themselves forced in court to refer to the man who brutalised them as ‘she’. We need to stop pinning men’s crimes on women. More importantly, we need to overturn the mad idea that anyone who claims to be a woman is a woman. And we need to stop lying. BBC, NYT and all the rest of you: stop spreading misogynistic misinformation.

Welcome to the party, pal. Sadly, though, I must strongly advise you to not be holding your breath waiting for it.

Not our circus, not our monkeys

Sage advice from a Redditor, quoted at VD’s place.

Yes, I was here today and blown off the top bunk of my bunk bed in the barracks by the first missile. This is where all the foreign legion troops are, the 35 killed were all Ukrainian mostly due to a direct hit on their barracks next to mine. The base is destroyed, the weapons depot destroyed, possibly the end of the legion. About 60 people with their heads on straight including myself left after the attack. They’re sending untrained guys to the front with little ammo and shit AKs and they’re getting killed. The guys who stayed got bombed again in the afternoon and casualties aren’t clear. If you still want to to join them I’m not sure what the process will be since literally all the infrastructure supporting the training/assignments of volunteers is all destroyed. The guys who are there now will all be going to Kyiv and many will die, the legion is totally outgunned and has a few crazy Ukrainian leaders. After the attack one officer wanted to march everyone to Kyiv and fight. Absolute insanity. Stay home.

I didn’t go to Ukraine for the clout. I asked the right questions, deleted my posts, actually bought a plane ticket and brought my ass over. I said in another comment that yes it was 35 Ukrainians killed because their barracks got directly hit. The 180 bullshit is real Russian propaganda. If you think I’m a Russian agent you’re just in denial that the situation is absolutely fucked. Go ahead and join the legion, by all means, but be very aware of how bad Kyiv is going to get and be aware that Russians have warplanes and you will have next to nothing. Be very acceptant of the possibility of death. Those of us who left, including SF operators from multiple countries, are simply risk mitigating. No one wants to die in an unfair fight, and after getting absolutely fucking pummeled by massive cruise missiles today – yeah I kind of want people to think twice before turning their life upside down to go and volunteer.

Like a lot of dudes there have experience and really wanted to shape the battlefield and impact their advance, but ultimately they’re manning frontline positions that are going to get hammered with artillery and airstrikes, buried under rubble and your family never gets your body. That’s when a lot of guys say yeah this isn’t our fight, not like this.

Ain’t our fight, like this or like any other way. BCE, who has spent most of his life being there and doing that, knows the score.

So much for the romanticism of being a Merc Aye? It’s not like a vidya game…but don’t tell these people that. More and more stories leaking out and around the fringes of the story…despite the “The Russians are getting their asses beaten in!” cheerleading, the word is that now that the Krainians are suiting up youngsters and giving them 3 days of training, and sending them straight out to the ‘front…wherever that may be…

Despite -other- keyboard warriors out there, this is not the sign of an Asskicking Krainian DotMil. This’s a sign, much like what happened at the end of World War Two when the Wehrmacht called up all the Lame, The Sick, the Oldsters and Youngin’s to go out to fight cos there wasn’t anyone left to use.

Calling out the 16 to 18 year olds? “Freshmen” as the Russians used to call the baby-faced ‘Cruits? That’s to me leastways, not a sign your winning, but a sign that your DotMil is running out of experienced fighters.

The Japanese did the same exact thing with their Pilots at the end of the Pacific War…took 16 year old kids, gave ’em just enough training to get a Zero off the ground, and then Kamikaze that fucker into an American Warship for the Glory of the Emperor.

Hence the Ministry of Propaganda  and Lies pushing the “Russians are looooooosing!!!” so hard now…I’m not seeing it.

Me neither. Makes one wonder just what motivation Leftards and their Establishment Media pet poodles might have for rockin’ their “Bless those plucky, unconquerable Ukrainians, kicking Rooskie ass and stymieing them completely like they are” mythology as hard as they have been, don’t it?

Update! The Rooskie incursion, a distraction from Blunderin’ Brandon’s comprehensive, unsurvivable up-fuckery? UNPOSSIBLE.

Would our country be disappointed if Russia actually solved the problem of Ukraine? You have every reason to think so. For one thing, we would be stuck having to face our own problems, especially the ones caused by lying to ourselves, such as the nearly unthinkable obscenity of having possibly poisoned a majority of the US population with mRNA “vaccines” and killed hundreds of thousands of Covid-19 patients by withholding known effective treatments. What would you suppose we might do about that?

Hold people accountable? The scale of this disaster is so enormous that the country can’t begin to process it. And it’s not just us, it’s all of Western Civ, which is more or less interchangeable with NATO, now the chosen instrument of distraction. Do any of these member nations have the stomach to face their own gross institutional failures? Apparently not yet.

Even in the face of massive emerging data that the “vaccines” are a bust and have additionally injured and killed many people, the CDC still urges Americans to vaxx up and boost up. So, by the way, does allegedly “former president” Barack Obama, who tested positive for the virus over the weekend, despite being vaxxed to the max. Who will tell them to stop digging that hole they’re in before they dig all the way to China?

By their lights they aren’t in any hole, and rather are sitting in the fabled catbird seat. Until they start being chased through the streets by angry mobs, sniped from afar, and/or hung by their necks until dead, it will remain tough to argue against ’em on that.

It’s only a matter of time before the swindled public flips and realizes it has been subject to mass murder by bureaucrats, politicians, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, and purveyors of the news. They’re all in this up to their necks, as are their corresponding officials in France, Germany, the UK, et cetera. They are trying to sweep this enormous lump of depravity under the rug, hoping that the masses of citizens will just leave the room.

Suddenly, I’m reminded of a tried and true Cap’n Mal quote that I just can’t resist re-running.

As Kuenstler notes, they aren’t merely trying to kill us; they already have, and in job lots too. The favor should be returned, with great big bells on, until a becoming fear of us is re-instilled in them. I think we’re well past the point where less extreme measures are going to dissuade them, although, as always, YMMV.

DeSantis floats like a butterful, stings like a bee

Shitlib journo fucks around with the President of the True American Nation, finds out.

When it comes to Florida’s governor, Ron DeSantis, I tend to agree with a comment Matt Walsh made on a podcast, which is that DeSantis has Trump’s courage without Trump’s baggage. Two differences between the men are, first, that, while Trump had an instinct for the Constitution, DeSantis has a lawyer’s deeper understanding of the document, and two, that DeSantis is better at keeping his eye on the ball. That means he remembers to make his statements about the American people rather than about himself.

Both those qualities came through strongly on Thursday when DeSantis chose Brandon Honda, located in the City of Brandon, Florida, as the venue for a press conference. The reason for the press conference was to sign anti-mandate legislation:

Emphasis in the original, and utterly, utterly hilarious.

Things got even better when a reporter tried to embarrass DeSantis by asking him if anti-mandate legislation isn’t a form of big government antithetical to DeSantis’s conservative credentials. The reporter might as well have tried to tickle a cobra with a stick, because things did not go well for him after that.

Oh, I just bet they didn’t at that. One might think these stupes would know better by now, DeSantis having long since proven himself to be a seriously dangerous opponent—full of piss and vinegar; always up for a bare-knuckles duke-out; fast, strong, and agile, with good footwork and a haymaker Right(wing) cross no brain-intact pug wants to have to stop with their face.

The question is a bit hard to hear, but the reporter apparently is asking how DeSantis can simultaneously get angry at the federal government for trying to mandate vaccines when he’s using his state government to prevent vaccine mandates. The reporter doesn’t seem to grasp that there’s a difference between using the vast power of the federal government to force people to inject something into their body (a no-no under the Constitution) versus the state using its power to protect people from such force (a yes-yes under the 10th Amendment).

DeSantis, however, did grasp the difference, and he schooled the reporter with enthusiasm (emphasis mine):

So, first of all, this idea that somehow conservativism is about, like, local school boards, it’s the United States of America, not the united school boards or counties commissions of America. So, the states are the primary vehicles to protect people’s freedoms, their health, their safety, their welfare in our constitutional system.

What Biden is doing is not constitutional. There has never been a federal vaccine mandate imposed on the general public.

Now, some people say, “Hey, these local governments wanted to lock down businesses, they wanted to force mandates, they wanted to keep the kids locked out of school. Yeah, you’re damned right I overruled them on that because they were wrong. And the fact of the matter is you don’t have the right to do wrong.

The fact of the matter is, if we would have let them lock the kids out of school last year, we would have paid the piper for years and years in this state. If we had let them lock down businesses and restrict and do all that, we would have one of the highest employment rates in the country. So, we had to stand up for people’s liberties, their livelihoods, their right to work, people’s right to own a business, and it was the right thing to do.

But what Biden is doing, he does not have the…he even admitted he doesn’t have the authority to do it. Psaki admitted that they don’t have the authority to do it. And in fact, even six months ago they are all saying ‘Of course you never mandate. Of course, you never mandate.’

And so the question is, do we actually have a constitution that constrains people like Biden or is it just when he loses patience, he can do whatever the hell he wants to? No, I’ll take the Constitution, thank you very much.

I snipped out some of My President’s remarks, but the crucial points remain clear and correct. The hapless numbskull beclowned himself with an ill-considered attempt to score off a man far beyond the limited understanding of such as he. DeSantis, in an act of charity of which his wormy interlocutor was wholly unworthy, tried to explicate certain fundamental concepts about Constitutionally-correct government, as daunting and impossible a task as any mere mortal ever hoped to accomplish. It’s greatly to DeSantis’ credit that he even…

Oh, who am I kidding with all my sarcasm and snark. The wormy asshole “journalist” tried to swap punches with a highly-skilled foeman invulnerable to his weak-ass arm-flapping, and America’s Gov gutted the damned hack for his presumption. That’s the long and the short of it. Bottom line?

So far, DeSantis has proven that he understands the Constitution, including federalism and states’ rights; he recognizes that the driving force behind the Constitution is individual liberty; he has political courage; he keeps his eye on the ball; and he knows how to and is willing to troll the Democrats.

Politicians have a way of disappointing us, but, for now, DeSantis is playing the game better than just about anyone else on the conservative side of the aisle.

Yup, s’trewth. I say again: I just LOVE this guy. No, DeSantis ain’t perfect; no one among us is, least of all a goddamned politician. But if there’s any other governor out there who references the moribund, nearly forgotten US Constitution at all anymore except to use it as a convenient smokescreen, prop, or misdirection—never mind actually respecting and upholding the poor thing, in both word and deed—I haven’t heard about him yet.

Non-event

And suddenly, there may be a reason to care about the fucking Olympics.

Olympic Madness: Women’s Beach Handball Team Fined for Not Showing Enough Booty

“Madness”? Waitwaitwait a minute—is this guy saying he thinks showing more booty is a BAD thing?

Is it just me, or did the Olympics, once upon a time, actually have some credibility? Didn’t the Olympics used to be a gathering place for champions? A moment where nations shined and personal bests were achieved? The first stop on your way to a Wheaties box? I could swear it was not that long ago.

Credibility? From everything I’ve read over the years—which isn’t actually all that much, since I never did give a tinker’s damn about any fucking Olympics—and from what I saw living in Atlanta during the Olympics there back whenever the hell that was, the fucking Olympics have pretty much always been all about the corruption and graft, on the behind-the-scenes business end at least. Throw in whacking great gobs of gooey-eyed nonsense about “promoting international understanding and cooperation” and other such rot and it shouldn’t be too tough to understand my iron determination to avoid the whole emetic shebang.

That being said, can someone pinpoint for me exactly when the Olympics went from being something we all could believe in to the godforsaken sideshow it and the events that surround it are today? Can someone tell me why we should give more than 60 seconds of our time to whatever beleaguered media event is scheduled for Tokyo?

Not really, no. But I’m probably not the guy you wanna be asking.

The Norwegian Women’s Beach Handball team (and btw, what the hell is beach handball and when did it become an Olympic sport? What’s next, shuffleboard?) was fined $1,700 for choosing to wear shorts instead of bikini bottoms during competition. The team noted that the shorts were easier to play in, and I am reliably informed by an actual woman and not a “menstruating person” that during a woman’s period, bikini bottoms can be problematic at best, and disastrous at worst.

A measly 1700 clams? Hell, I doubt that will be anything like enough to get the Norwegian lassies back into the bikinis again, blast it. Although I will concede the point about the menstruation issue, if somewhat grudgingly.

Although the sanction was played down, the message is clear, whether the league officials approve it or not: People are expected to tune in to the Olympics to see scantily clad women, not athletes. Apparently, there is money to be made by blurring the line between sports fan and hormone-stricken teen. Or dirty old man.

NOW you’re singing my tune, buddy.

On the flip side, track and field Paralympian Olivia Breen was told at the English Championship that her shorts were too short.

Unpossible. Ain’t no such thing. Except on a fat broad, of course.

And as if that were not enough, another Paralympian, Becca Meyers, has withdrawn from the Tokyo games. Meyers is a swimmer and is blind and deaf. She was told she could not bring her caregiver with her. Did I mention that her caregiver is her mother? Never mind Becca Meyers’ needs or her dignity. Let’s get that blind and deaf girl in front of the cameras.

Okay, I will agree that does seem a pretty shitty thing to do. Pointless, petty, and self-defeating also, just a bonehead move all around. One wonders just what the hell those people were even thinking with that one.

So, the Norwegians are sanctioned for not showing enough skin—because, you know, sex and ratings and stuff. The Paralympians are sanctioned for being people and not merely disabled and checking the right box for the IOC, sponsors, and broadcasters. They have no value as athletes or as people. Once again, human beings are made into products.

So, for the sake of the Norwegian Women’s Beach Handball team, Olivia Breen, and Becca Meyers, when the Tokyo games begin, I would tell the IOC and whatever idiot legacy media outlet has the temerity to broadcast the games to go to hell. Go directly to hell.

Oh, I assure you I will be. The last few fucking Olympics came and went with me being completely unaware they were even going on at all, a streak I intend to extend by ignoring them again this year, or whenever it is these fucking Olympics are scheduled to take place. Not having to pretend I give a lumpy fart about the Games is a big ol’ win as far as I’m concerned.

Flinging some back at ’em

The Bee jumps salty with the shitlib propagandists at the scurrilous NYT.

Re: Demand for Retraction of New York Times Article by Mike Isaac

Dear Ms. Brayton: We represent the Babylon Bee in this matter and write on its behalf. Please direct any related correspondence to the undersigned.

As you should be aware, Mike Isaac, a reporter at the New York Times, authored a defamatory article in which he stated:

Facebook often dealt with far-right misinformation sites that used “satire” claims to protect their presence on the platform, Mr. Brooking said. For example, The Babylon Bee, a rightleaning site, sometimes trafficked in misinformation under the guise of satire.

This article was published by the New York Times. After its publication, the Babylon Bee, in an effort to protect its business, character and reputation against such defamatory attack, made an online post describing Mr. Isaac’s false and defamatory assertions made in his article. Though this same article was “updated” by Mr. Isaac thereafter, the update remains defamatory because it nevertheless maintains that the Babylon Bee is a “far-right misinformation site[] that use[s] ‘satire’ claims to protect their presence on the [Facebook] platform.”

Both versions of this article constitute defamation by libel, libel per se, and the tortious interference with business and contractual relations. As to the original version of your article, to ostensibly support its casted aspersions, it ironically links to another New York Times article from October 11, 2020 which is essentially a profile piece about the Babylon Bee being a legitimate satire website, and it contains no mention of “misinformation” whatsoever.

The “updated” version is no better because it names only the Babylon Bee as a purported far-right misinformation site in its discussion about sites which label themselves as satirical. Further, it insinuates that the Babylon Bee “has feuded with Facebook and the fact-checking site Snopes over whether site published misinformation or satire.” Yet, and as you should know, the Babylon Bee at that time was not feuding with Snopes as to whether it publishes satire or misinformation. To the contrary, at the time of your “update”, Snopes had already retracted any such insinuations with an editor’s note saying it was never their intent to call into question the Babylon Bee’s motives or legitimacy. In other words, Snopes denies that it ever intended to ascribe any such motives to the Babylon Bee, and therefore it is entirely misleading and malicious for you to characterize Snopes’ retraction as constituting a “feud”, for Snopes never stood by, nor does it stand by now, the claim that the Babylon Bee is a misinformation website as opposed to a satirical one. Further, as to Facebook, Facebook has actually issued a written apology to the Babylon Bee for mistakenly characterizing its content as “false news” instead of satire, and thus there is no “feud” with Facebook either.

Therefore, the Babylon Bee demands that the New York Times immediately publish a full and complete retraction of all versions of the above described article. Failure to do so will result in further damages to the Babylon Bee, which hereby reserves all of its rights to bring a lawsuit in this matter.

Govern yourselves accordingly.

Regards,
NASON, YEAGER, GERSON, HARRIS & FUMERO, P.A.

And if this doesn’t work, the boys at the Bee can always just shoot the sorry bastards. Sooner or later it’s gonna come down to that anyway.

FREEDOM!!!

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
Daniel Webster

“When I was young I was depressed all the time. But suicide no longer seemed a possibility in my life. At my age there was very little left to kill.”
Charles Bukowski

“A slave is one who waits for someone to come and free him.”
Ezra Pound

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
Frank Zappa

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant in case of necessity can no more be doubted than to hang a robber, or kill a flea.”

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Surber

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
