The incredible arrogance of the Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather)™ cult

The latest installment of Mike Walsh’s continuing series examining the scam of the century.

Having failed to destroy us with the Covid Hoax (even the loathsome Facebook nazis have given up on it), the Left has now moved “climate change” front and center as the international left’s preferred soul-sapping means of destruction. Based on the small (in the cosmic scheme of things), 140-year-old sample of randomly gathered temperature data, jealous and vengeful cultural Marxists have decided to extrapolate from cherry-picked, manipulated, and massaged data to convince a gullible and trusting public that the world is coming to an end any day now, unless we act now. Like sleazy used-care salesmen, they employ scare and pressure tactics in order to get you to work against your own best, self-preservative instincts and willingly destroy infrastructure, cripple food production, kill sea life, and incinerate forests.

The key to their successful sowing of confusion can be found in the Heisenberg Principle, which states: “we cannot know both the position and speed of a particle, such as a photon or electron, with perfect accuracy; the more we nail down the particle’s position, the less we know about its speed and vice versa.” In popular understanding, this term of physics is expressed thus: the act of observing a thing changes its behavior and the closer it is observed, the more its nature becomes unclear. Or, if you stare at the word “cat” long enough, you can convince yourself that “cat” is misspelled.

The same is true of the “science” of “climate change.” No one from the ancient Greeks to the mid-Victorians would have seriously entertained the notion of “man-made climate change” were it not for the relatively recent invention of rudimentary means of measuring temperature and forecasting the weather. Armed with this little bit of knowledge, we have now created — in our own minds — the dangerous thing called “climate change.” Take that, Aristotle!

The evidence-free assertion of man-made “climate change” is easily disproven without resorting to a shred of Heisenbergian data. Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant (no matter what the man-made Environmental Protection Agency says) — unless, that is, you subscribe to the Leftist Suicide Cult theory that mankind itself is a pollutant. If you do, then there’s no help for you; seek psychiatric help. Further proof is provided by actual climate history, whose only constant state is one of continual change. In case you doubt that, pay a visit to any important art museum with a large landscape collection. Finally, look at the calendar, walk outside, note how the weather is pretty much exactly what you would expect in your region for this time of year and ask yourself: do I really believe we have only a few years to save the planet? Of course you don’t. The planet is doing just fine.

At which point Walsh embeds that classic George Carlin vid I’ve deployed here myself more than once, wherein Carlin dismisses the monumental arrogance behind the patently risible notion that we mere hoomons, rather than being a small, relatively recently-arrived part of the much-larger planetary ecology, are somehow outside of it, apart from it, in conflict with it, and now constitute a serious, credible threat to its continued existence. Following that, Walsh goes on to make an assertion that I myself have made over and again (which I’ll put in bold so’s you can’t miss it):

The simplest way to defeat the “climate change” hysterics would have been to ignore them, but they are relentless little devils who won’t stop until they are stopped. Unfortunately for the sane among us, they’ve enlisted those lovable scamps of the madcap Corporate Media to raise hysteria to such a fever pitch that a great many otherwise sensible people actually take a disturbed, saturnine child like Greta Thunberg seriously.

Well hey, any weapon in the armory, y’know, any tool in the box—whatever might be useful to them, they’re gonna use, and straight to hell with any- and everybody who might not like it. Credit the soulless, amoral monsters with this much, at least: they DO know how a war must be waged if one intends to win the damned thing. Not for-real shooting wars, of course, just their phony ones.

Be ye not sparing in thine outrage

Lord knows, there’s plenty enough reason for it to go around nowadays.

Daniel Penny’s Indictment Deserves The Level Of Outrage Trump’s Got
U.S. Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny was reportedly indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on Wednesday for defending New York City subway passengers from an erratic and threatening homeless man.

The incident in question occurred on May 21, when Jordan Neely — who had been arrested 44 times for “criminal conduct” and, at the time, “had an outstanding warrant for felony assault” — began threatening and getting violent with NYC subway passengers. During the episode, Neely allegedly kept repeating the phrases, “I’m going to kill you,” “I’m prepared to go to jail for life,” and “I’m willing to die.”

In response, Penny and two of his fellow passengers attempted to restrain Neely, which involved the former placing the latter in a headlock. Neely ultimately died during the encounter, with NYC’s medical examiner ruling the death a homicide.

According to sources who spoke with Fox News, Penny is being indicted “on one count each of criminally negligent homicide and second-degree manslaughter.” If convicted of the latter charge, Penny could face five to 15 years in prison.

Not surprising, nor will I be when he’s convicted, sentenced harshly, and packed on off to durance vile. After all, in Amerika v2.0 no truly good deed goes unpunished. Tells one all one should ever need to know about its demented and deformed system of “justice”; its hideously warped mores and values; and its juvenile obsession with a wholly-contrived “racism” which exists only in the Left’s own fevered imagination.

On their own merits, the Penny and Trump indictments symbolize the increasing weaponization of law enforcement agencies against anyone who refuses to bend the knee to leftism. But unlike the reaction to the DOJ’s targeting of Trump, the overall response to Penny’s indictment has been mum by comparison.

While it’s understandable for a presidential primary contender to generate a larger following than a former Marine, it’s precisely for this reason that Penny’s unjust prosecution should be shouted from the rooftops. Unlike Trump, a guy like Penny likely doesn’t possess the financial or legal resources necessary to engage in a prolonged legal fight against a system that’s rigged against him. And it’s for this reason that all conservatives and common-sense Americans must rally to his defense.

A conviction of Penny would further entrench Democrats’ attempts to criminalize self-defense and give leeway to leftist prosecutors seeking to charge any citizen not “down” for their Marxist revolution. Yes, the DOJ’s targeting of Trump is horrific. But so is the immoral prosecution of Daniel Penny.

If they can do it to Penny, they can — and will — do it to anyone else.

“Can”? “Will”? Nuh uh. Howzabout…ARE, along with DID, and HAVE BEEN, for entirely too long now. Until you’re red-pilled enough to be able to make that crucial distinction, there can be no realistic hope of ever fixing this. Either wise up, and nut up, or kwitcherbitchin’.

No case to be made

Like I said the other night, the whole blasted shitshow is just a scam.

We might not like it, and our allies might and should get nervous about it, but under our system the President has absolute authority to declassify material AND to take it home as personal records. Beaten into us at the State Department was the knowledge that our ability to classify material, and I shamefully admit that I classified a lot, comes FROM and ONLY from the President. He can override any classification. The President can grab a binder of the most “sensitive” material, and read it out at a press conference; politically not wise, but legal. The famous Bill Clinton “sock drawer” case emphasized that: an Obama-appointed judge ruled that Clinton had the authority to declassify AND take home as his personal records ANY material produced by the Executive branch. No exceptions. Full stop. The President, in our structure, DOES NOT COME UNDER the authority of some faceless bureaucrat in a government archives office.

I find tiring to hear that the Trump case differs from those of Pence and Biden because they “immediately” returned to the archives the classified material once that material was found in their possession. First, we don’t know if that’s true in the Pence case, and it’s certainly not true in the Biden case; second, most important, neither man had the authority to take classified (documents) to his home or his office. The cases, in other words, are different because neither Biden nor Pence was President at the time they took the classified material! Biden had been taking material for decades. Neither had the authority to declassify and remove classified documents. In Biden’s case, it seems about 100 percent certain that he shared still-classified material with his crack-addled son who used it to “write” papers about Ukraine and European politics for clients.

Has Trump handled this in the best way possible? You decide. I think, maybe, he could have handled the request from the archives office to return documents in a better, less confrontational way, while still saying, “No. Those are my papers.” Maybe. Maybe.

Now, you will rightly note, that what I just wrote naively assumes that the request was well-intentioned. It, of course, was not. It was a trap to persecute Biden’s main political rival, and along with the bogus charges filed by local Democrat DAs, to tie up Trump in an endless legal siege, cripple him politically and financially, and–very important–distract from the growing evidence of the criminality of the Biden family.

The attack on Trump also has sucked the air out of the Republican primary process. How can, say, DeSantis get a word in when all we talk about is Trump, Trump, Trump? How can we get anybody to focus on the blatant criminality of the Bidens, when we all focus on the irrelevant debate over what is or is not classified?

We have become a banana republic with nuclear weapons. My apology to banana republics; they, at least, provide us bananas.

Heh. True, dat. Great to see you back after your extended hiatus from blogging, Lewis. You were definitely missed, buddy.

How to wage a Culture War

Enforced over-familiarity breeds contempt.

Rage Against the Pride Machine: We Don’t Hate You, We Are Just Tired of Having Rainbows Thrust Down Our Heretofore Tolerant Gullets
For those of you patriots who aren’t familiar with me, I am a former New York City liberal. I say this for two reasons: 1) it gives me an insight many don’t have, which I will soon discuss; and, 2) I deserve to be mocked incessantly for my folly. Please fire away in the comments, it keeps me humble.

Though I now lean right, I still DO NOT CARE how others live their lives. If a man wants to wear a dress, have at it. Gay marriage? I don’t care.

My point is, I am as LGBT-friendly a person as you will find.

That said, can we stop gavaging “gay” down everyone’s throat?

We do not care what you LGBT types do when the lights are off, and that was the goal, right?

Umm, no, not precisely. Despite their usual disingenuous disclaimers in the beginning, what it was was a first step. Which is how the now-typical progression/escalation gets them from Point A to Point XXX. Thus:

The gay movement went from “Stay out of our bedrooms,” which I found a reasonable request, to “If you straight guys won’t boink a trans dudette, you’re a bigot” to “Let us chop off your 15-year-old son’s penis or you’ll be arrested, you domestic terrorist.” Then you screech at us for “hating” you if we don’t deliver our kids to the “Zygote-friendly Drag Night” where they can watch attention-starved yet talent-free men in dresses shake their waxed asses and then beg for dollar bills.

And there you have it. But fret not, Kev knows the score here.

As a former teen-aged, punk-rockish, blue-haired, cranky, eyeliner-wearing crosspatch myself, I know how you operate. I also know how you recruit. You do it the same way the skinheads do it, as well as cults and midwestern-Detroit punk-rock types in the 1980s. You look for sad loners, weak people, damaged souls, and bitter failures to pull into your cult. You also target kids from bad or broken homes. In short, you’re a bunch of predators.

It all comes down to victimhood. You can’t attack people unless you convince yourself they have victimized you, and that you are “literally” fighting for your existence. That is why you pretend we — the monsters on the right — are trying to “genocide” you, even though we walk past you in the thrift store without a second glance.

The truth is you abhor us even more when we ignore you. In a sad, pathetic way you need us, but we don’t need you. That really steams your clams.

The truth is that most of us don’t care how the Pride community lives — as requested — but that was never the plan. The radical, emotionally-crippled harpies from the Gaystapo never intended to live peacefully amongst us. They will always push their narrative against us then cry victim when we get sick of being force-fed a huge breakfast bowl of Raisin Tran and eventually push back.

But tell me, what is your next move?

Whatever it ends up being, just assume it will be the most disgusting, offensive, reprehensible affront to common decency and common sense they think they can get away with at the time and you won’t go far wrong. Then just sit back and wait for the next step down that ol’ slippery slope—which won’t be long in coming, and will be even worse.

Just another scam?

A: Of course it is. Don’t try to kid me that you imagined for one second it wasn’t.

Is This Proof the Trump Indictment Is a Scam?
As soon as the federal indictment of President Trump was unsealed, we were treated to stories featuring photos of “boxes of documents” stored in various rooms at Mar-a-Lago — including boxes in places like on the stage in the White and Gold Ballroom, and even in a bathroom.

Like the photos from the raid showing classified documents splayed out on the floor, these photos created a certain impression with the public. Just look at how many boxes there are! Look where they were put! Dozens of boxes all over the place, where anyone could get them.

But as Newsmax host Greg Kelly pointed out, it’s “a scam” that’s poisoning the public’s perception of Donald Trump in this case. Why? Because, as Kelly noted, the actual number of classified documents that were found at Mar-a-Lago could fit into one single box, with ample room to spare.

“You don’t have to be a lawyer to look at this and know that it’s a scam,” Kelly said. “Number one, in that indictment, they put some pictures in the indictment to scare us. Ooh, look at all these boxes. The classified documents in the boxes. These pictures are actually in the indictment, and there are dozens and dozens of boxes.”

He continued, “So I went through the indictment and saw that how many documents, classified documents, did the FBI actually recover? 102.”

Kelly then pulled out a box like the ones in the photos. “So, everybody, I got a box right here, alright? This is one box.” He then showed an intact full ream of paper — 500 pages — plus another 100 sheets of loose pages to represent the actual classified documents that were found. They didn’t even come close to filling a single box. Kelly then asked why the photos of these boxes were in the indictment and given endless coverage in the media.

Margolis runs those ginned-up FBI “evidence” photos in his article, and they’re nothing short of laughable. To paraphrase Diane’s unforgettable line to Charlie Moran in The Pope Of Greenwich Village, they don’t even bother to lie to us carefully anymore; it’s an insult to be lied to so obviously.

Head on a swivel, JD

Hopefully the good Senator Vance knows enough by now to keep carefully checking six, scrupulously and ceaselessly. If he follows through on this gutsy but ultimately doomed maneuver, he’s damned sure gonna need to.

Vance Vows to Use Senate Rules to Stop Merrick Garland’s Partisan Lawfare, Demand Cloture Vote for Most DOJ Nominees
There is a reason the Left went all in to stop the election of Sen. JD Vance in Ohio. Like that other Republican son of the Buckeye State, Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, this man knows how to fight. His plan is to vote against unanimous consent resolutions on virtually all DOJ nominees. A filibuster will follow, which will force a cloture vote.

Vance plans to be the sand in the gears that slows Attorney General Merrick Garland and President Joe Biden’s Justice Department to a snail’s pace in the Senate nominating process. He is vowing to be a one-man version of a factory labor slowdown. In this case, the factory is the U.S. Senate, and its product is left-leaning judges and prosecutors who will aid and abet Merrick Garland’s persecution of Christian pro-lifers and political enemies of the Democratic Party like Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump is merely the latest victim of a Department of Justice that cares more about politics than law enforcement. Merrick Garland’s department harasses Christians for pro-life advocacy but allows hardened criminals to walk our streets unpunished. This must stop, and I will do everything in my ability to ensure it does. Starting today, I will hold all Department of Justice nominations. If Merrick Garland wants to use these officials to harass Joe Biden’s political opponents, we will grind his department to a halt.”

Vance said he would make an exception for U.S. Marshals Service appointments. But he will vote no on all unanimous consent resolutions. These resolutions are the normal way the Senate moves groups of nominations forward. Now for every single nominee, there must be an individual floor vote in the Senate. It means every vote would require a quorum with members of the Senate present and voting. All procedural resolutions and speaking opportunities would have to be respected and gone through before a nomination could be put to a vote. In short, every nominee could face the type of Sente maneuvering usually reserved for Supreme Court nominees. S-L-O-W, deliberative, and ever so annoying.

Sen. Vance plans a well-thought-out and stubborn defense of religious and political freedom. Filibuster and cloture are the tools he has chosen to fight DOJ overreach. Democrats will not be happy. The next question is how Republican leadership will respond to this scorched earth counterattack. Will they support Sen. Vance or Attorney General Merrick Garland and his reckless policy decisions?

OHHH yeah, a real headscratcher, that one. Which way might the Swampy slimewads of the Vichy GOPe jump? We wonders, Precious, yes we wonders.

Update! Meanwhile, over on the House side.

One of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s primary goals, having regained leadership of the House, must be to reinstate the institutional integrity that was honored only in the breach over and over again by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Long-standing fundamental House rules and protocols repeatedly were violated under Pelosi, for the single purpose of pursuing a partisan political agenda at the expense of historically honored principles. The formation of the House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the Capitol and its indisputable perversion of important House rules highlight the issue. The rules that were violated allowed the committee to abuse the subpoena process and deny subpoenaed witnesses basic protections the rules were intended to provide. This must be corrected immediately.

There is one mechanism readily available to the speaker to restore order and respect for the rules. It is called the Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (“BLAG”).

The BLAG was created in 1993 by a Democrat-controlled House, over the objection of a majority of Republicans in the House. It is a body comprised of five members of the House leadership, three majority party members and two minority party members, that speaks for the House in directing litigation in which the BLAG perceives the House to have a direct interest.

Republicans who opposed the formation of BLAG argued that the entire House should vote before a legal position that purports to speak for the House is adopted. The Democrats prevailed, and now by House rule, once BLAG members vote to direct the House general counsel to participate in litigation and take a position, even if the vote is 3-2, its position speaks for the entire House.

McCarthy characterized the degree to which the Jan. 6 Committee flagrantly violated long-entrenched House protocol and rules to support its partisan political agenda as “unprecedented” and “an egregious abuse of power.” However, when the rules violations have been challenged, courts have concluded that they were bound by the House’s own interpretation and application of its rules and had to yield to the BLAG as the official advocacy voice of the House. Since BLAG endorsed the Jan. 6 Committee’s actions by a 3-2 vote, their rules violations were permitted with impunity, notwithstanding the express language of the House rules.

McCarthy must now convene the BLAG, as he has the full authority to do, to reverse its partisan political perversion by Pelosi and company, and to return the House to a body that at least honors its own rules, without regard to a politically expedient agenda of the day.

Yeah, I shan’t be holding my breath awaiting it. Neither should you, nor anybody else, lest they turn blue and fall over deader’n a ProPol’s integrity. Whatever else McCarthy may or may not be, he’s already proven himself to be no JD Vance, not by a long yard he ain’t. As the very next two ‘graphs after the above excerpt confirm well enough, he already rolled over, wagged his tail, and showed Pelosi his yellow belly once. So forgive me for thinking that it’s gonna be a mighty long wait for any such thing. The addled-pated old soak rightly doesn’t expect any such show of defiance and rectitude from him, and neither should anybody else.

Uncle Sam’s EXTREMELY Misguided Children

Via Divemedic, a vidya of the world’s mightiest, most feared, veritably-invincible military force at, umm, play.

Jeez-O-Pete. Bet his DI is mighty proud of this life-taker and heartbreaker. I only wish R Lee Ermey was still around to offer his take on this disgraceful shit-stain upon a once-proud uniform. Then again, I think it’s safe to say we already know what his opinion would be.

Punisher, punished

I seem to recollect mentioning here a time or three that the Left’s hatred for us is so deep, so frenzied, so caustically desperate that there really is nothing they can leave alone. We HAVE talked about that here before, right?

WELL. About all that.

A year ago progressive news outlets were calling the idea of the culture war a “right-wing conspiracy theory” that had no basis in reality. Yet, the injection of far-left politics into entertainment media had already started years previous, with noticeable propaganda efforts in movies, streaming television, children’s shows and books, even commercial advertising was replete with progressive ideological imagery by 2016 onward.

The goal is relatively obvious – To erase competing ideals and viewpoints while saturating the market with only one political vision; a woke vision. It’s called social engineering, and anyone who claims this is not happening in the US today is gaslighting.

Strangely, the American comic book industry has become a major battleground in the culture war, with heroic symbols being increasingly erased or hijacked as vehicles for woke talking points. A vast array of comic book characters are now race-swapped, converted to LGBT or they have had their histories rewritten to make them more “acceptable for modern audiences.” At the same time, they promote everything from BLM, to climate change propaganda, to gender identity politics and anti-gun messaging.

Why would leftists target something as frivolous as comic book heroes? Because pop-culture is first and foremost a playground where children grow up, and by rewriting heroes as social justice crusaders and communists they hope to indoctrinate the next generation.

The Punisher character (Frank Castle), originally created by writer Gerry Conway in 1974 with artists Ross Andru and John Romita, was a product of a chaotic era; a reaction to the rise of war, stagflation, instability and exploding crime rates in the US. The Punisher’s story is a tragedy of a returning military veteran whose family is killed during what seems to be a gangland hit. With federal agencies doing little to arrest the perpetrators, Castle takes matters into his own hands and begins systematically assassinating the criminals.

The Punisher as an icon has been highly popular among conservatives, military veterans and law enforcement officers in recent years. The trademark skull symbol can be found everywhere, with patches, gear and flags sporting the image, often as a representation of citizens taking matters into their own hands. The symbol was also seen at the January 6th protests.

This has made leftists at Marvel Comics livid. They first attempted to make fundamental changes to the character, including a redesign of his popular skull symbol, as well as taking away his guns and giving him swords in 2021. Instead of fighting against criminal organizations, Frank Castle joins with one, violating his fundamental code of ethics.

This month, though, Marvel officially declared the Punisher persona non grata, eliminating the character as readers know him. Did he go out in a blaze of glory? No, in typical woke fashion Frank Castle is captured by progressive heroes, chained up and forced to go through a struggle session in which he is admonished as a murderer and a terrorist. Marvel even brings the Punisher’s wife back from the dead, only so that she can divorce him and take his money and property, and then inform him that his lifelong crusade against the criminal underworld was all for nothing.

Marvel writers, including original Punisher creator Gerry Conway, specifically cite the popularity of the character among conservatives as the reason for his virtual elimination. As Newsweek noted, the Punisher was “problematic” for Marvel because conservatives liked him too much. He represents the every-man: He has no superpowers, he’s not a billionaire like Batman, but he still fights evil with an immovable will and a lot of guns.

Emphasis mine, because Jesus tapdancin’ CHRIST. I mean, seriously, folks: kill off a popular, profitable franchise entire simply because people you hate are among those who enjoy it? Sheesh. Mere “crazy” doesn’t even begin to cover this; it’s far too gentle a word to adequately describe it. Confirming yet again that these “people” truly are just totally, hopelessly, irremediably bugfuck nuts.

You say you want a revolution…

We-eellll, you know.

I know a lot of people are talking up civil war for the when/if of firearms confiscation. South Carolina has a bill –giggle– that proposes secession if the feds start grabbing guns. Please review your notes from lesson 3 to remind yourself why state action is no better than federal, for all the same reasons. It’s the same bunch. The South Carolina bill, at best, is a distraction, a sop thrown to the people to make them think there’s something “states’ rights” can do to protect them…

…from the same bunch. It’s a fake.

Who did their homework on the Whiskey Rebellion, the Civil War, the Bonus Marchers, and the Battle of Athens? Anyone? Bueller?

Anyway…

Shay’s Rebellion: Taxation without representation, enforcement of a repealed law, objections. Rebels barely organized. Freaking National Army sent to suppress. Scratch one embryonic revolution.

Civil War: Regardless of what you learned in Flower Ambrosia Smythe’s Revised Social Justice American History class down the hall, it wasn’t about slavery. Lincoln offered to take the slavery issue off the table if the Southern States would agree not to secede; they declined because tariffs and discriminatory laws were the real problem. Look it up.

But this rebellion was organized… because it was a matter of states’ power, not individual citizens, who were suckered in on both sides by propaganda. But it wasn’t organized soon enough to properly equip the South and they lost to the more heavily industrialized — and armed — Union. Scratch another revolution.

Bonus Marchers: Desperation, not organization. No resources but to cry for relief. Basically they were asking for the rule of law…

…and were slaughtered for annoying the powers-that-be. Scratch another revolution.

The Battle of Athens is where things get interesting.

Totally corrupt local government. Armed citizens back from the war can’t get relief through the rule of law (sound familiar?). They organize — easy, since they know and trust one another — which for once is possible because they’re working on the small, local level.

Scratch one local, corrupt government.

And not a one of those examples would apply in what I see coming, if they finish shoving the rule of law into the trash compactor.

Looking at the seemingly inevitable semiautomatic firearms ban masquerading as a “bump-stock ban,” (call it the BS semiauto ban) we will have a rather different situation.

Scenario: The Left and its media has been working hard to convince the country that gun owners are a “small” minority. Laughably, the lowest sorta-semi-kinda-realistic estimate puts the number at a mere 55,000,000. Let’s roll with that, just for said laughs. (Bearing in mind that it is a joke, since it’s based on voluntary ownership disclosures to strangers in a country where ownership is demonized and the threat of confiscation is ever-present — right Justice Stevens?)

The BS semiauto ban goes into effect. A minimum of tens of millions of heavily armed people are suddenly felons. They can’t count on Athenians popular support because they’ve been demonized for decades. They aren’t organized because they’ve been keeping a low profile. They aren’t concentrated in one small town.

Digression that isn’t: When the “3 strikes and you’re out” laws became popular, a lot of cops opposed them because of the risk of low level felons seeing no particular reason to surrender peacefully if they got caught one more time. Georgia began prepping a max security prison just for 3-strikers, and called for volunteers to man it from their correctional officers across the state. Most COs looked at the situation — hundreds of permanently imprisoned felons with no hope of getting out ever for “good behavior,” and said, “No, thanks.”

In our hopefully hypothetical scenario, you just reduced at least 40,000,000 people to that same desperate status malum prohibitum. Some might give up immediately. Some might fold when faced with force.

But if just 1% of that 40,000,000 said, “Fuck it, I’m taking some assholes out with me,” you’ve got 400,000 heavily armed noncompliant sons of bitches (HANSOBs) out for blood.

Whose blood? For starters, the ones they see as immediately responsible for the mass violation of their rights. Then the idiot celebrities, media hairsprayheads, and ignorant useful idiots [yes, Emma, David, Delaney] who pushed it.

Then they’ll look around and think, “I’ve got nothing left to lose now. How ’bout that mother-effer in the Zoning Department who made me tear down my deck after I spent ten grand on it?”

Or county weasels spending millions of dollars on an unapproved spaceport. Or the principal who threw your kid out of school because he got beat up.

Maybe that neighbor who always mows his grass at 11PM on Sunday night. And sprays his clippings on your manicured yard.

Make your own list. Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose, as the lady informed us.

In 2020, on the present course, we’ll see an additional minimum of four hundred thousand freshly minted victimless malum prohibitum felons with a grudge and something better than stolen .22 revolvers.

Show of hands, class. How many of you realized that — up until now — it’s been legal for people to own registered machineguns, mortars, artillery, tanks, and even fighter aircraft? And that people do?

Sure, they’re considered militarily obsolete. Explain that to the bureaucratic and political targets of opportunity who pissed off those owners, as they’re taking fire.

Marvin Heemeyer demolished much of a town with a grudge and an home-armored bulldozer. He specifically targeted the mayor and the town hall. He worked alone. One guy.

Multiply by 400,000. Or 40,000,000.

Maybe even 120,000,000 fresh felons. With nothing left to lose. Go, Janice!

No. We wouldn’t have a civil war. The victim disarming cowards should be so lucky. That would controlled, coordinated, focused. The goal would be restoring a constitutional republic. (The reality might well differ. Civil war is not something I recommend.)

What you “repeal the Second Amendment and take all the guns” types are doing is declaring an open hunting season.

On yourselves.

T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished, if you ask me. And yes, the above excerpt might be considered a wee mite excessive in terms of Fair Use standards, but trust me, there’s plenty more of it left for y’all to peruse, which you surely should take the time to do. And BANG, ZOOM! Just like that, into Ye Olde CF Blogge-rolle with ye, good Herr Busjaeger. Shoulda had ya in there a long time ago, methinks.

The Farm Wars.

A few weeks ago, 42-year-old Jared Bossly ventured out into his farm to plant alfalfa.

Bossly’s farm in Brown County, South Dakota has been owned by his family for four generations. They grow corn, beans, and alfalfa in addition to raising cattle. They also plant trees all over the property as a windbreak to protect the herd.

Bossley has put his entire life into his work, and has passed those values along to his children. He and his 17-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son work on the farm daily to do the right things for the land.

Every spare penny the Bossly family has goes into their farm. Interviewing Bossly, I was struck by the level of care they put into their work.

On this particular day, he was nine miles away from his residence when he received a text from his wife, who works as a nurse but was home that day on leave from her job while recovering from gallbladder surgery.

She was in the shower when she heard their front door open and a voice yell “hello.” Mrs. Bossly asked her husband if he was expecting anybody, to which he said no. She then got dressed and went downstairs to see who it was.

Meanwhile, the two men who opened the front door of the house, then walked into Bossly’s shop adjacent to their home before heading back out onto their farmland.

Mrs. Bossly then called him to update him on the situation and he told her to go see who they were.

They identified themselves as surveyors from a company called Summit Carbon Solutions (SCS).

The Bossly family are just one of over 80 South Dakota landowners facing eminent domain lawsuits Summit filed in late April.

These 80+ properties fall in the path of a planned 2,000-mile carbon capture pipeline the company plans to build. The planned project traverses five states and aims to capture carbon dioxide from ethanol plants in Iowa and sequester it underground in North Dakota.

In South Dakota, there is no clear process laid out by which an entity is granted the power of eminent domain. Historically, once a project is approved or permitted by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), it assumes the power of eminent domain. But under the PUC’s Pipeline Sitting Guide, pipelines are designated as common carriers, which deflects the decisions to the circuit court system.

And despite the fact that the pipeline has not yet been permitted, SCS is taking advantage of South Dakota’s lack of private property protections and using it against landowners like Jared Bossly.

Read all of it—and prepare to get good and pissed off about this criminal outrage. And all in the name of “Green energy” and Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather)™, natch.

They’re “afraid of us?” Because “we have all the guns?” Oh, I think this incident ought to put paid to that comforting fairy tale handily enough. My God, these corporate shitweasels opened the front door of a private dwelling and came inside before proceeding to wander the property as if they owned the place, poking their noses into storage sheds and such at will, just as pretty as you please.

Sorry, but they aren’t ever going to be truly “afraid of us” until we get those guns out of the gun safe, load them, and start greeting agents of the State at the front door with them in hand, every time they dare to set foot on private property to harass us, intimidate us, and steal from us.

A nice, quiet evening at home spent having their significant other laboriously pick pellets from a properly-administered load of double-aught buckshot out of their baggy asses with a long set of surgical tweezers whilst they sweat, bleed, and groan with pain will make ‘em think long and hard about ever attempting such a foray again, I’d bet. Where I live, if I were to go waltzing around somebody else’s property without a specific invite like these shitwits did, I would expect no less.

(Via WRSA and GFZ)

Update! A minor thought: around these parts, we have a word for it: traipsin’, which was originally just Southern mumble-mouth shorthand for trespassing. I have “No trespassing” signs posted all over the property, and now that I’m permanently confined to a wheelchair and thus incapable of any brawling or rasslin’ around, it’s now shoot first and don’t ask any questions at all for me. Fuck around and find out, that’s the rule of the day around here.

Institutional terrorism

In all its hideous (vain)glory.

What State Harassment and Institutional Terror in Woke America Looks Like
Conservatives cannot afford to stay cowed any longer. The VDare case shows why.

A federal court ruling likely to drop this month should provide a good indication as to whether America still has a fully functioning First World justice system. The case, involving an investigation from New York Attorney General Letitia James into the supposed mismanagement of controversial news outlet VDare.com, has received zero media coverage so far, despite it being as crude, brutish, and nakedly political as James’ other lawfare campaigns (notably against former President Trump and the NRA). In fact, it’s arguably worse, as it was clearly designed to dox VDare’s writers and volunteers and bankrupt the tiny outlet out of existence.

In a recent column about James’ investigation, VDare founder and editor Peter Brimelow recounts with frustration the increasing difficulty his outlet has had in spreading its advocacy of “immigration patriotism” over the years. This includes being blocked by social media and payment processors, potential advertisers being subjected to Anti-Defamation League-style intimidation campaigns, and even lawyers and accountants being unwilling to help the group publicly. Its very ability to exist online was threatened a few years back when a black supremacist lawyer now leading the Justice Department’s Civil Rights section tried to pressure its registrar into delisting its domain.

Considering Brimelow is a bestselling author, a reputable financial journalist going back decades, and, according to him, someone who has not changed his views on immigration, diversity, and racial issues generally since he was writing about them in National Review years back, the increasing prejudice and character attacks do draw sympathy as well as a considerable amount of head-scratching.

Post-Trump, it is basically impossible for the group to host anything publicly, as its forced conference cancelations can attest (“more than a dozen,” Brimelow says). In a 2017 case that should have created a national furor, a VDare conference scheduled in Colorado Springs was met with an announcement by city mayor John Suthers that he would direct local police not to protect the venue in case Antifa or BLM protesters showed up. Considering this was quite literally an open invitation to cause violence, venue management understandably canceled the event.

Even in light of all this, Brimelow says James’ current attack is the “most serious threat” he and his wife and VDare-partner, Lydia, have ever faced in the outlet’s 24-year history.

If you’re one of those Pollyanna types who still naively believes either the US Constitution or its 1st Amendment remain in force and applicable, go read the rest and school yourself on your erroneous thinking. The rest of you can ponder this simple question: if the contention is that the patently illegitimate Amerika v2.0 junta (and its wholly-owned State subsidiaries) is not presently waging cold-to-lukewarm war against not only its own founding documents and principles but its (non-Leftist) subjects as well, what would it be doing any differently if it WAS?

Here’s another hypothetical—HYPOTHETICAL, glowniggers!—contention for ya: Torches, pitchforks, tar, feathers, rope, lamppost, Letitia James—some assembly required. Feel free to discuss at will, y’all.

“Let you”

“Let,” hell. Forget? Hell, NO. Not here, not for one second.

No Forgiveness For Pandemic Sins Until The Guilty Repent
The people who abused their power and imposed tyranny during the pandemic will do it again if we don’t hold them accountable.

Christianity Today published a curious piece by Paul Miller on Thursday calling for everyone to forgive each other for our supposed “pandemic sins.”

He doesn’t exactly say who sinned, just that “We got things wrong,” and “Some officials made mistakes in the early days.” Things happened. Mistakes were made. It’s time to move on. Miller’s argument is basically a warmed-over, lightly Christianized version of the essay Brown University economics professor Emily Oster wrote for The Atlantic last November, which argued for a “pandemic amnesty” on account of how “uncertain” and “complicated” things were in the face of a once-in-a-century pandemic like Covid. The ruling class did its best, OK?

Oster’s piece elicited well-deserved scorn from many on the right, including our own Joy Pullmann, who noted that a genuine amnesty “requires an admission of guilt and a commitment to repairing the wrongs done.” The absence of such an admission and commitment to change, says Pullmann, is “an indication that you’re going to do it again,” and makes it impossible to rebuild trust.

Of course, the people responsible for shutting down the economy, closing schools and churches, destroying countless businesses, and condemning the elderly to die alone in their hospital rooms are not at all sorry about what they did. To this day, they don’t acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever. Certainly not Anthony Fauci, who in an April interview with The New York Times defiantly faulted ordinary Americans for failing to listen to him, the self-proclaimed embodiment of science.

The same people who needlessly imposed massive learning losses on schoolchildren, or barred families from burying their dead, then foisted an ineffective vaccine on the public and tried to shame or coerce everyone into taking it, regardless of their age or health status. Plenty of Americans, including those in the military and medical professions, were faced with the terrible choice of taking a shot they didn’t trust or losing their careers and livelihoods.

None of the people who did this are sorry about it. In fact, they’re proud of it — and they will absolutely do it again the next chance they get. Here’s the new director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Mandy Cohen, jokingly relating how she and her fellow health officials came up with draconian mandates during Covid:

Which is where the “let you” line rears its ugly head, in a Tweet which I won’t bother embedding. To wit:

New CDC Director Mandy Cohen recalls how she and her colleagues came up with COVID mandates during her time as NC Health Director.

“She was like, are you gonna let them have professional football? And I was like, no. And she’s like, OK neither are we.”

Thereby perfectly encapsulating and exemplifying the set of the bureaucratic mind. Yes, this IS exactly how they think—worse, it’s who they are, way down deep inside. They cannot change, and they will not stop. They will never, EVER stop. They will have to BE stopped.

Notice the phrase “let them.” These people felt — and still feel — that the freedom to run your business, attend school, go to church, gather together with friends and family, all these things are entirely contingent on whether Mandy Cohen and her colleagues let you.

In this context, arguing for forgiveness or amnesty is really just calling for a total lack of accountability for the people who did real lasting harm to the entire country. Just as amnesty requires admission of wrongdoing, so too does forgiveness require repentance. It also requires justice and accountability. But none of the very powerful people who made cruel and ruinous decisions during the pandemic have asked for forgiveness or even acknowledged their devastating failures. None of them have been held accountable. There has been no justice.

Nor will there be, unless and until we rise up and see to its administration ourselves. Why should anyone expect otherwise? The lockdowns, the mask mandates and forced closings—the gratuitous destruction, ruin, and human misery inflicted by them—worked exactly as they were intended to, achieving every goal the petty dimestore dictators hoped they might. It was a trial run for more and worse yet to come, and it succeeded beyond the wildest dreams of the evil despots who imposed them on a submissive, sheep-like populace.

Yes, they will most certainly do it again, whenever it suits them to. Why on Earth wouldn’t they? This is who they are, it’s what they do. It’s going to be lather, rinse, repeat from here on in, until enough of us figure that out and decide at long last to put a fucking stop to it.

Update! Okay, THIS Tweet I simply can’t resist embedding, it’s just too damned good.

Oh, SNAP!

We wuz KANGS ‘n’ sheeit!

Does this count as “cultural appropriation,” or nah? Asking for a friend.

KangAragorn

Proving once again that no, there really is nothing they’re willing to just leave alone and let us have to ourselves—absolutely, positively NOTHING. Remember it, people; this material may or may not be on the final exam, which is coming up real soon. Sooner than you think, probably.

Seeing through the flim-flammery

Vote in your local and state elections? Sure, why not, they can’t possibly rig ALL of ‘em in a country the size of this one. National “elections”? Sorry, but I’m SURE I have to wash my three remaining hairs, or trim my toenails, or something.

Trump National Security Adviser: Deep State Will ‘for Sure’ Rig 2024 Election

And why the heck wouldn’t they, prithee tell? After all, there’s been no consequences or repercussions whatsoever from doing it in ’20 and ’22, and ain’t gonna be either.

Former deputy national security adviser K. T. McFarland appeared on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo about a week ago. In it, she warned of efforts by the Deep State to tip the scales for the Democrat nominee in 2024 (unless it’s RFK Jr., she might have added).

Here’s the transcript:

Well, I knew because I was a victim of it. When the Mueller investigation and the FBI came after me in the early days of the Trump administration, they knew I hadn’t committed any crime but that didn’t matter. They just wanted to go after anybody associated with President Trump in hopes they could break them or get them to lie, or at a minimum bankrupt them.

But I think, as I take a step back, and it’s not just about me, it’s not just about President Trump, what is it about?

We now have black-and-white evidence that the FBI interfered in the 2016 election. And then when they failed to get their candidate elected, Hillary Clinton, they set out to destroy the Trump administration.

So then go back up to 2020. This time, it was the CIA that got involved in the 2020 election with those 51 former intel agents who talked about the Hunter Biden laptop as “total Russian disinformation.”

So they’ve gotten away with it for two elections. They will for sure get away with it — try and get away with it in 2024, right? Because there are no consequences. The difference is in 2024, the evidence is there. We now have the Durham investigation and all the Congressional investigations.

Frankly, it’s surprising that Fox News hasn’t purged Maria Bartiromo yet the same way they did Tucker Carlson. I predict that she’ll be the next domino that Murdoch knocks off to de-Trumpify the network.

Regarding the substance of McFarland’s claims, there is ample evidence to back up her assertion. We’re still a year and a half out from the election, and it’s not clear at all who the eventual GOP nominee will be, but the Deep State is already hard at work rigging the election again.

As reported previously at PJ Media, Exhibit A is the recent intrigue-laden meeting of a technocratic cabal called the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR) at, of all places, a D.C. spy museum.

Via CEIR:

The Summit on American Democracy, presented by the Center for Election Innovation & Research, will take place on May 8-9, 2023 at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. Featuring panel sessions and discussions, the summit will be a forum for citizens across the political spectrum – election officials, experts, and members of the media – to discuss pressing issues, and share actionable ideas to further strengthen our democracy in a bipartisan and nonpartisan way.

“Election Innovation,” is it? Gotta love that display of sleight-of-hand word-rejigging; it gives the whole game away, if only in a sly, indirect sort of way. Innovation, no less. Good Lord, it’s as if they no longer care whether we’re aware of what they’re doing or not. They’re just out-and-out laughing at us at this point.

The Amerikan Gulag claims another innocent victim

And the (in)justice system collects itself another scalp.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes was sentenced on Thursday to 18 years in prison.

Rhodes was sentenced to 18 years by far-left Obama-appointed US District Judge Amit Mehta on Thursday morning who then lectured him on what a danger he was to society.

Mehta sentenced Stewart Rhodes to 18 years. Rhodes is currently 57. If the this unconstitutional conviction stands, Rhodes will be 75 when he is released.

In late November 2022, Washington DC jurors reached a guilty verdict of garbage “seditious conspiracy” charges against Stewart Rhodes in the Oath Keepers Trial.

The DC jury found EVERY SINGLE Trump supporter guilty in their disgusting and unconstitutional criminal proceedings against honest Americans who were caught up in the violence on January 6.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes NEVER went inside the US Capitol. He never instructed anyone to go inside the US Capitol. He was unarmed as were all of his Oath Keepers associates that day. There was no plan to enter the US Capitol. There was no scheme to take over the government with their bare hands. The prosecution was a sham. The jury was a pool of DC Communists and unhinged left-wing activists who see themselves as victims.

The Oath Keepers were in DC in January 2021 to offer security for the several rallies planned by Trump supporters on January 5th and 6th. The Oath Keepers and Proud Boys have worked security at dozens of events by conservatives, patriots, Christian groups, and Trump supporters, to protect them from organized Antifa violence. Democrats hated them for this.

To my (slight; I had held out some hope for the guy until now) disappointment, Matt Gaetz didn’t exactly cover himself in glory after this grotesque buggering of Lady Justice.

As reported earlier, conservatives were taken back on Thursday night after Rep. Matt Gaetz told a Twitter Space gathering that he was not “particularly aggrieved” after Oath Keepers founder and President Stewart Rhodes was sentenced to 18 years in prison for alleged seditious conspiracy and “terrorism” on January 6, 2021.

Rep. Matt Gaetz said, “He stood before a jury. They had every Constitutional privilege afforded defendants. They were found guilty of seditious conspiracy and if they were trying seriously to overthrow the government, 1.) they’re idiots. 2.) They had no chance, and 3.) they probably deserve some punishment. I thought that the sentences would be less than they were, so I was a bit surprised by the duration but I wasn’t particularly aggrieved by them.”

Which cruel indifference to seeing a blameless man’s life upended and destroyed makes you either despicably complicit or a goddamned fool then, Mr Gaetz. Sorry, but try as I might I can descry no third option here. On the up-side, though, Gaetz has just revealed precisely who and what he really is with his statement, for all who have eyes to see.

“Every Constitutional privilege afforded defendants”? To quote an especially repulsive DC termagant, are you serious? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? My God, it would be laughable if it were in any way funny. Stewart fires back at the loathsome Swamp creature:

Stewart’s first reaction was to bring up a prior comment by Gaetz, who was curious as to why Stewart had not yet been indicted following the Jan. 6 protests. Stewart was indicted on January 12, 2022, over a year after the January 6 protests.

“I think he’s probably got egg on his face now [Matt Gaetz] because obviously, turns out I was not a Fed,” said Stewart.

“It took them a year to cook up their fake evidence against me, coerced confessions and threatened people. A year in prison to coerce your plea bargains. It took them a long time to finally get around to indicting me because I didn’t go inside.”

That’s because you’ve just been railroaded, rogered, and boned up the ass by the Deep State megalith, without even the benefit of a courtesy reacharound.

“So now I think he has egg on his face. Now he wants to minimize that by saying, well, these people probably weren’t guilty. We are innocent. We are only guilty like I said in my sentencing statement, I’m only guilty, like President Trump, of opposing those who are destroying our country.”

“And I have been opposing them by free speech for 15 years now since our Oath Keepers. That’s what I’ve done. And everything I’ve done has been honorable. And everything that the Oath Keepers has done has been honorable.”

Stewart added, “I’m not sure why he said that, but he needs to take a good hard look at where we are and what has been done to, not just us, but other people. What’s going to be done – to stop the insurrection against the entire MAGA movement? To call us all insurrectionists, all racists, all fascists, all of us anti-democratic. When they say democracy, we are not a democracy, we’re a constitutional (re)public. But what they really mean is our power. So when Biden says they are a threat to democracy, what it really means is they are a threat to our power.

He added, “Matt (Gaetz), he needs to either retract (or) fix that.”

I wouldn’t be holding my breath waiting for it if I were you, Stewart. But fuck Matt Gaetz sideways. Again: next time one of these “seditious conpiracy” groups decides to try their hand at overthrowing the manifestly illegitimate Amerika v2.0 tyranny, they need to remember to bring the guns along with ‘em.

All bold above Hoft’s, not mine, aporopos of little if anything. Dave Renegade adds:

A black man who was ineligible to run for the office of the United States Presidency is “elected”. He was “selected” in his reelection. His appointed judge in Washington, D.C. who was born in India sentences a patriot to 18 years in prison for trying to restore the Republic. Stewart Rhodes was correct: he should have brought firearms. He will be paying a high price for yet another FBI setup.

If the judge had any knowledge of the founding of our Republic, he would know that Democracy is the antithesis of the foundation of our nation. What he actually stated is that the founding fathers were a threat to the United States since the overthrow of the Republic in the 2020 election usurpation.

As more of the government’s malfaisance is uncovered, the more desperate they will become. I believe that they will physically come for people who spoke out against tyranny and supported our founding principles. Come to terms with what that means because you will not have much time to decide when they come to your door.

“They will physically come for people…” Not to pile on, heckle, or slam ya in any way, Dave, but that’s exactly what they’ve done to the J6 Gulagees, is it not? Not will, not at all—HAVE, more like.
