The Moral Blackmailing of the American People
In Springfield, Illinois, in 1838, a young Abraham Lincoln delivered a powerful speech decrying the “ravages of mob law” throughout the land. Lincoln warned, in eerily prescient fashion, that the spread of a then-ascendant “mobocratic spirit” threatened to sever the “attachment of the People” to their fellow countrymen and their nation. Lincoln’s opposition to anarchy of any kind was absolute and clarion: “There is no grievance that is a fit object of redress by mob law.”

Unfortunately, it seems that every few years, Americans must be reminded anew of Lincoln’s wisdom. This week’s lethal Immigration and Customs Enforcement standoff in the Twin Cities is but the latest instance of a yearslong baleful trend.

On Wednesday, 37-year-old “queer activist” Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. Good, who had barricaded her vehicle in an attempt to obstruct an active law enforcement operation, ignored agents’ requests to exit the vehicle and instead directed her car at one of the agents. Good actually then hit the agent, who was briefly hospitalized for his injuries. But before she could do even more damage, the agent shot and killed Good. The federal government has called Good’s encounter “an act of domestic terrorism” and said the agent shot in self-defense.

Suffice it to say Minnesota’s Democratic establishment does not see it this way.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey responded to the deployment of 2,000 immigration agents in the area and the deadly encounter by telling ICE to “get the f*** out of Minneapolis,” while Gov. Tim Walz called the shooting “totally predictable” and “totally avoidable.” Frey, who was also mayor during the George Floyd-inspired mayhem of 2020, has lent succor to the anti-ICE provocateurs, seemingly encouraging them to make Good a Floyd-like martyr and riot accordingly. As for Walz, he’s right that this tragedy was eminently “avoidable” — but not for the reasons he thinks. If the Biden-Harris administration hadn’t let in untold millions of unvetted illegal aliens, and if Walz’s administration hadn’t conveniently overlooked hundreds of Minnesotans — of mixed immigration status — defrauding taxpayers to the tune of billions of dollars, ICE never would have embarked on this particular operation.

Liberals and open-border activists play with fire when they so casually compare ICE, as Walz previously has, to a “modern-day Gestapo.” The fact is, ICE is not the Gestapo, President Donald Trump is not Hitler, and Charlie Kirk was not a goose-stepping brownshirt. To pretend otherwise is to deprive words of meaning and to live in the theater of the absurd.

But as dangerous as this rhetoric is for officers and agents, it is the moral blackmail and “mobocratic spirit” of it all that is even more harmful to the rule of law.

Most of us assumed this dispute had been settled once and for all by the early spring of 1865, but apparently we were mistaken.

What I most want to know at this juncture is why in the ever-lovin’ blue-eyed world is Tampon “Timmeh” Waltz, after doing everything his little pea-brain can come up with in the way of fomenting insurrection against the US federal G in his sorry-ass State, has not been locked up under multiple charges of treason already.

The underlying problem  all along has been that self-dramatizing Leftist morons have been getting away with personal threats, acts of violence against individuals, arson, looting, and wanton vandalism without ever facing Consequence One for any of it. They snarl ferociously about the supposed “evils” of private property, capitalism, and White People generally but have never been called out for any of their patent hatemongering. They must be forcibly made to understand that the Left’s permanent Get Away With It© card has been revoked, so their usual schtick is just liable to get them ventilated from here on out, as should have been the case all along.

Sorry, shitlibs, no more blanket Leftard Exemption for you. The days of having everything your own way are done. Things are different now, and I promise you ain’t gonna like it. In the immortal words of the great Curtis LeMay:

A lot of mentions and RUMINT is that there are NOT enough cops out there to do what needs to be done, and that the White House is, per the usual, dithering on #TIA1807 (ie, the Insurrection Act of 1807—M) because smol-hats and ‘reasons’. OrangeManBad doesn’t WANT to be remembered for invoking the act (even tho right now, he really needs to, if only in Minnesota) and deploying Active Duty Troops.

World War And The Plan To Control Or Kill Young Western Men
When I think of the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk I see the event as symbolic of the death of civil discourse in the west. The timeline split at that moment leaving two distinct groups: The conservatives and centrists who cling to the fantasy that progress through traditional politics is still possible, and the patriots who now realize that a peaceful resolution is unattainable.

I also see it as symbolic of a deeper element of the culture war – Specifically, the war on young white western men. Kirk was 31 at the time of his death. Not “young”, but almost 15 years younger than I am, and it has left me thinking about the future for the next generation of western males at a time when the system is obviously hellbent on destroying them.

They have been the subject of economic warfare through DEI: Corporations and colleges give first shot to any identity group other than white males regardless of merit.

They have been targeted by social warfare: Demonized as irredeemable monsters by woke cancel culture and labeled the cause of all the world’s ills. Their ancestors built a civilization of unprecedented prosperity and so much material bounty even the poorest people are fat. They created the middle class, a concept which had never existed before in history. In 1890 the average global life expectancy was 42 years; by 1990 the average life expectancy was 73 years, all because of western civilization and the technology it created. And now, white guys are being punished for it.

They have been selected for extermination: They’re the key demographic that leftist governments want to use as cannon fodder for a mindless geopolitical mess in Ukraine.

Charlie Kirk’s biggest mistake was believing that the system could be defeated through peaceful discourse. He was wrong. It’s not just the insanity of the political left that makes peace and reason impossible, there’s also the machinations of globalist controlled governments working tirelessly to conjure a perpetual meat grinder through domestic and foreign conflicts.

One indicator of a coming purge is the open call for young men (specifically conservative men) to accept the idea of future conscription. Multiple EU member states have threatened to institute a military draft if volunteer numbers do not dramatically increase (so much for “democracy”). The purpose of the draft? To construct an EU army large enough to go toe-to-toe with Russia.

As I predicted in my article “World War III Is Now Inevitable – Here’s Why It Can’t Be Avoided”, published in April of 2024, the globalists in Europe are doing everything in their power to stop a peace plan from moving forward in Ukraine. They have been actively sabotaging the Trump Administration’s efforts for a summit which actually includes Russia instead of cutting them out of the process.

At the same time that a greater war is being fomented, there has been a relentless gnawing crusade to demoralize young white men. One could rightly say that this campaign also affects some minority men in places like the US, but let’s not play games – The primary target is without a doubt white western males.

Why? It’s hard to say for certain, but when patriots are called to action it’s usually white conservative men that answer. Minorities (third world migrants in particular) are far more inclined to lean into socialism and view western civilization as a structure to be torn down rather than protected.

All perfectly true and accurate, to the Nth degree. Follows, the meat of the matter.

In Europe, the current goal of the establishment is to crush the spirits of western men while protecting migrants as a precious commodity. In the UK, the narrative is focused like a laser on white conservative males as public enemy #1, while simultaneously demanding that these same men “prove their patriotism” by fighting for the elites against Russia.

I was watching a news broadcast from the BBC a few months ago in which a male journalist of military age tried to argue rational points on why men in Britain are reticent to go to war for the existing government. He noted that they do not believe that the leftist politicians in power represent them anymore and they feel they are being rapidly replaced by third worlders with hostile ideologies. Why would they fight for such a government?

A black female journalist involved in the discussion sneered at the man’s argument, then grinned as she asserted that nothing he says matters because he could be drafted whether he likes it or not. It was the evil grin of a communist – She knows she’s part of the protected class. She knows that he can be sent to die no matter how logical and reasonable his position, Meanwhile, she risks nothing in her support of continued war.

She was reveling in the idea of white conservative men being expendable. It’s the leftist dream, is it not? To turn their political opponents into beasts of burden and fuel for the fire of their Utopian fantasy. They don’t care about being correct, or moral; they just want to crush the life out of people who disagree with them.

Again, I remind one and all of Mike’s Iron Law #873, ironically enough one of the very first entries in that little pet project of mine: They will NOT stop. They will NEVER stop. They will have to BE stopped. And, as Brandon ruefully notes, that of necessity means war. Which in turn brings us right round to Bedford Forrest’s rough-hewn homily: War means fighting, and fighting means killing.

Truer words were never etc. Western White Pyrsynnzz Of Penis now have a strictly binary choice before them: A) come to terms with certain gruesome yet incontrovertible realities, or B) be ground into bloody gobbets under their noisome treads. In George Orwell’s novel “Animal Farm”, the communist Pigs seek to dominate the other animals by keeping them busy with arduous (but empty) acts of labor. They use this aimless labor to break the backs of the strongest animals on the farm. The horse named “Boxer” is a true believer in the common good of the collective, but the Pigs see his strength as a potential threat to their long term rule.

They exploit Boxer’s patriotism and ultimately work him to death. They then sell his body to a slaughterhouse despite his faithful service to the farm.

If you are a young man and a patriot in the west and primarily in Europe, YOU are Boxer the horse. They will send you off to slaughter in the name of the collective because you represent potential opposition. They will use economic decline as a means to pressure you into conformity, or leave you no other option but to join the military. They will then celebrate your death, because they nullified your strength without ever having to fight you directly.

What’d I just say? Prophets, Smith and Orwell both. The future they foretell is hideous, frightening, inhuman—and absolutely MUST be prevented, its proponents defanged and destroyed utterly, by any and all means available.

The elites view the warrior class as the ultimate danger, and young western men represent the best chance of a renewed warrior class. If these men ever realize their true power, the weakling elites would be wiped off the face of the Earth within moments. I hear the argument often that this kind of rebellion is meaningless without a detailed plan to rebuild. This is another means of control – Demand a perfect solution before action is ever taken so that nothing ever gets done.

Warriors understand that reformation only comes from the will to take action; the will to create momentum. They understand that civil discourse has its place, but if all it does is maintain the status quo then it must be abandoned. Warriors understand that the worst thing one can do is debate the obvious while the world burns.

Verily, we didn’t start this war. But we for sure better finish the damned thing, come what may…because the cost of losing it cannot be borne.

Predictive history

When you think about it, pretty much ALL history is predictive, really.

So these days I find myself ‘tween-wars, reflecting on my last visit to Connaught Place, which is well worth your time if you’re ever in New Delhi. I believe a while back it was formally re-named in honour of Rajiv Gandhi, but I have never heard any Indian refer to it as anything other than Connaught Place – which you’d think would be funny enough for the chippiest Hindu nationalist: A district named after Queen Victoria’s son, the Duke of Connaught, former Governor General of Canada, to symbolise the enduring power of the British Crown is now the seat of the Indian hegemony H1B-ing the world.

London ordered the building of New Delhi because they calculated it would be easier to control the Indian sub-continent from there than from the former capital of Calcutta. That was the only purpose of the project: to cement British rule. The King-Emperor inaugurated the new seat of the Raj in 1931 – and, within sixteen years, the Raj was gone.

That’s why it’s sobering to walk around Connaught Place today. The greatest architect in all the empire, Sir Edwin Lutyens, was brought over to design the Viceroy’s House and lay out what to this day is known as “Lutyens’ Delhi”. Did he know it was for a mere decade-and-a-half? No. On that timescale, the Viceroy could have made do with a junior suite at the Marriott. If you had suggested to anyone, from Sir Edwin down to the lowliest labourer, that the next decade would bring the end of British rule, they’d have thought you were nuts. And yet it happened. Because very few of us are alert to the moment when history accelerates past the delusional pseudo-permanence of the age. So Lutyens et al did not know they were building a magnificent new capital …for their successors.

That decade-and-a-half clock is now upon us – by which I mean North America, Australia-New Zealand and all Europe west of the Iron Curtain. We are building systems of control – digital ID, Net Zero – for our successors, and by 2040 those successors will be taking the reins of power.

That’s to say, we are in the last fifteen years of anything recognisable as the western world.

Follows, scads of evidence supporting that bleak conclusion—evidence I find nigh impossible to refute, therefore will not even try.

Right about here is where I would ordinarily break out my oft-used “I pray he’s wrong, but fear he’s right” plaint, but this time, I just…I just…dammit, I just can’t, somehow.

All solutions other than mass expulsion involve far more blood. Years ago on the curvy couch at Fox, I remember shocking Brian Kilmeade when I mentioned that, at the height of the so-called Irish “Troubles”, MI5 calculated that no more than one hundred individuals were involved in all the bombing and killing. America has the most heavily armed civilian population on earth. Is all that firepower just for decoration? For butching up the gun rack in the back of your pickup? If not, how many Americans would it take to object to their demographic dispossession and the sacrifice of their womenfolk? Are they perhaps worried that tea parties and minutemen and whatnot are no longer possible in the 24/7 panopticon state?

It’s more than just my vanity talking when I say this dude sounds a lot like me.

Apocalypse Now?
I am not prone to doomsday thinking, but neither am I unrealistically optimistic. When President Trump won the election for a second term (against overwhelming odds) in 2024, I understood that the nation had not been “saved” from the radical Left’s destructive policies; we had merely gotten a reprieve. Still, events this year, since Trump 2.0 took office, make me wonder if the polity is too divided, too debased, too indoctrinated, and too detached from “traditional American values” to survive as a democratic republic committed to the rule of law. For the first time in my life, I am concerned about the survival of the United States—not from a foreign threat, but from within.

Blue states and blue cities that had declared themselves “sanctuaries” for the millions of Third World invaders have now become the epicenter of a secession-like resistance to the enforcement of federal immigration law. Democrats’ frantic efforts to demonize, obstruct, and endanger ICE, with the active assistance of rogue judges, amount to an insurrection. Democrats seek to prevent the deportation of, and to grant de facto amnesty to, the millions of illegal aliens who flooded our borders under Biden—foiling our immigration laws. The only possible explanation is that Democrats hope to transform the electorate with Third World detritus, to whom they intend to grant de jureamnesty (and voting rights), thereby ensuring perpetual political control by presiding over the resulting welfare state.

This is not new—indeed, it has been going on for deacdes in California–but I had hoped the American public would rise up and oppose the Democrats’ Kevorkian-like national assisted suicide when it became apparent that importing the Third World was a conscious strategy to ruin America. Just look at the Somali enclaves in Minnesota and the Muslim enclaves in Michigan. They did not happen by accident. The massive influx of illegal aliens with foreign customs, attitudes, and beliefs—unwilling to assimilate and hostile to our culture–erodes the civic glue that binds us together as Americans. Thus, blue city voters elected a socialist pro-Palestinian Muslim as mayor of New York City, and the radical Left’s reaction to the assassination of a National Guard member by an unvetted Afghan refugee in the nation’s capital is to blame President Trump for deploying the National Guard.

Where is the outrage at widespread predation and fraud by foreign invaders?

Isolated in whatever tiny pockets of old-school Real Americanism that still exist, that’s where. Which indicates that the only realistic answer to the question posed in Pulliam’s title is that, much as we may need one right about now, there is in fact no “apocalypse” coming, neither in the short nor the long term.

Apocalypse now? Apocalypse NEVER, more like.

A civics lesson in movie-review mufti.

Constitutional purists, in the main, adhere to the judicial philosophy of ‘originalism.’ That is, they do not believe the Constitution and its Amendments are evolving or subject to change in meaning based on the mood of the times. They try to understand the contemporaneous intent of the words by those who wrote them.

Those of us of a certain age will likely think this just too durned obvious for words, while for most of you young whelps out there it will probably come as real news.

Another civics lesson, complete with obligatory CF-style digression, that’s been languishing in the “Local Drafts” folder for a goodish while now, presented in full below the fold.

Et tu, Britainistan?

Day by day, it looks more and more like the JooJooJooJooJOOOOO-hatin’ Crackpot Right might very well be right about Britain having fought on the wrong side in WW2 after all.

Kudos and much respect to that brave, defiant handful, but the awful fact is that Once-Great Britain is gone. Which means that those valiant Aston Villa fans who dared to confront the foul Muzzrats are standing up for a cause that was lost long ago—so utterly lost is said cause that now, their own government, police, and all other British authorities are brazenly, unashamedly against them, waging war against native Brits instead of the vicious, unassimilable barbarian hordes brought in by their own fucking government against their wishes.

All in all, the situation in the former UK is disgusting, intolerable, and damned near beyond belief. But none of us on this side of the Pond needs to be feeling any too smug about the Anglishters’ awful plight: after all, our own Federal goobermint spent the last several years doing the exact same thing over here. Although Didact (Via WRSA) points out a few salient aspects:

Britain today is Exhibit A of  Steve Sailer’s dictum that, if you invade the Third World, you then invite the Third World, and you eventually become the Third World. Modern Britain is well on the way to doing so. And, unlike the FUSA, where there is a colossal problem with illegal immigration – there might be as many as 50 million illegals in the US, no one knows the true number – the problem in Britain is with legal immigration, particularly from Shitholistans like India, Pakistan, and Nigeria.

In my view, that’s in effect a distinction without a difference. Can Americans straight-facedly tell ourselves that our problem is “illegal immigration,” when for years our own federal government has been distributing fliers and running ads in Central American shitrapies urging the immivaders to come right on in and bring the whole fam damiiy; America is eager to welcome them. Once over the border there will be no further pursuit of them by Border Patrol, ICE, local police, K9 teams, or any other law-enforcement entity. Better yet, the USG will fly them gratis into the interior, find them housing, and issue them a FederalGovCo ATM card preloaded with up to $5000 to spend however they wish. Moslems, sundry flavors of Hispanic, espionage-trained Chinese males of military age—Come one, come all! Alls you gotta do is get here, and you’re on Easy Street, baby!

Technically, I guess they ARE “illegal immigrants,” but when the central government has taken it upon itself to fling open the borders, issue blanket invitations to prospective “newcomers,” assist them in getting signed up for all available assistance programs, health care benefits, andjust basically see that their every need is met courtesy of Uncle Sam, no strings attached, it becomes kinda tough to think of them as “illegals,” no?

Here’s the depressing bit.

The proportional level of repatriation that will be required to restore Britain to its old ways, seems far higher and much more disruptive than what it would take in the FUSA – where it might take the mass expulsion of over 100 million people just to get things to calm the hell down. Yet there seems to be no real political stomach or appetite among the British people to force the issue.

I have never, ever, met a sadder or more apathetic bunch of losers than the modern Anglo-Saxons, who once created the greatest empire the world has ever known, and who brought light and civilisation to the most savage places on Earth. Almost none of them are willing to say what needs to be said. Almost none are willing to tell the truth about the immense damage done to their country by immigration, by Jewish financial and media control, and by the unworkable construct of postmodern globalism-liberalism.

*sigh* Just HAD to throw in that JooJooJooJOOOOZ© jab, dinchya? I very much doubt that British Pyrsnnz of JOOO are terribly thrilled about importing the selfsame yodeling, goat-humping jihadis so fanatically devoted to killing as many Jews as they can get their hands on. Now, LIBERAL Jews are another thing completely. It’s like I always say, the problem ain’t with the Judaism, it’s with the Left/liberalism. Eyes on the ball, people, eyes on the ball. We got problems aplenty to worry about as it is; no need to make up new ones to go with them.

As for that “repatriation” business, it simply is never going to happen. Things have gone way too far by now; Britain is beyond fixing at this point, even if sufficient will existed to take a stab at it, as Didact explains. To even begin dealing effectively with the plague f Moslem locusts w9uld requre a national effort almost as massive as D-Day, and it’s painfully clear that today’s British subject just doesn’t have it in him. Te agonized shrieks emanating from British liberals the instant the very first Muzzrat kiddie-diddler gets put on a bus for the nearest airport is an awesome thing to contemplate. All caring, compassionate, enlightened subjects of His Majesty’s Government would sooner set themselves on fire than to be so beastly to their new neighbors, don’tchaknow.

The rest of what Didact says in the two ‘graphs immediately above is 100% factual, fair, and accurate. I descry no credible argument to be made against ’em. Which is a damnable shame when you think about it; would that none of it were so, alas!. But…well, here we all are.

As I already said, no Yank needs to feel all prideful and superior about our own situation. Where Bad-Off Blighty now is, the US soon will be, unless steps are taken without further ado. We’re on the exact same road they are, and they’re not as far ahead of us as we like to think either. For years I’ve read that, to see where mainstream American will be in five years culturally and/or socially, just look at what’s happening in California at present. To know where we’ll be politically in ten years, look to our British cousins. According to my own observations, that precept has held up FAR more often than it hasn’t.

We’re sill two very different countries, two very different peoples, so don’t expect the resemblance to be exact—it won’t be. The divide between Over Here and Over There is probably least stark, least marked, in London, and even at that I can tell you that any Amercan on his first trip to London will think he woke up on an alien planet until he’s had a few days to settle down and get into the London groove. Some more profoundly old-school British villages like, say, Great Yarmouth or Hawkshead might as well BE on another planet. That said, though, we’re close enough nonetheless—too close for comfort these days, in fact.

No, sadly, tragically, Great Britain is lost, never to be brought back again—one of the verymost spectacular national self-immolations in human history. If we don’t pull our heads out of our asses and reacquaint ourselves with certain harsh truths tout de suite, we will soon be joining them.

To wit: the aftereffects of today’s self-inflicted injury will by no means be limited to Leftard NYC eedjits alone. Sorry, but thanks to, among other factors, NYC’s status as the Colossus of international finance and/or banking, with corporate HQs, Wall Street, the advertising/arts/entertainment/media industries clustering there, the pain from today’s’ bonehead maneuver will surely be felt across the entire nation, probebly the whole world as well.

And that right there exemplifies the problem I mentioned just now. Consider: how many of us have fantasized, in idle barside chitchat with friends, about finding a secluded island paradise where Left/liberal/Progressivist nitwits could set up the exact kind of government, society,and culture they claim to want? The catch being, of course, that once they debark the ship and set foot on Tardzania, they have to stay; they will never be allowed back here to plague normal, sane people again.

Thing is, heavenly as it sounds, it simply can’t be done, it’s unpossible, see. Due to their inmost nature—intransigent, bumptious, meddlesome, arrogant—shitlibs could no more leave others alone to live as they prefer, to conduct their affairs as they think best, than they could sprout wings from their backs and fly off to Mars. Put ‘em on a remote island where they can do as they please, not just sometimes but ALL the time, but which veritable Shangri-La 1) they are expressly forbidden to ever depart, an ironclad contractual obligation enforced by armed guards wiith deadly-force ROEs, and 2) has no (zip, zero, nada) access, either physical, visual, or auditory, to the Freemen back home in the States, and they’d be as miserable as a leper colony.

And the instant that realization hits home, that’s when the escape attempts will begin, quickly ramping up from once in a GREAT while to a several-times-daily event. Count on it. Every civilization faces a test. They rarely collapse from a single blow. Instead, they decay from within—through cynicism, decadence, and an erosion of shared beliefs. Augustine wrote The City of God to explain how Rome’s fall was not merely political, but spiritual: a people who no longer believed in themselves could not defend against their enemies.

Tonight, New York stands at a similar threshold, as voters head to the polls today to choose our next mayor. Among the names on the ballot is Zohran Mamdani, a socialist Assemblyman from Queens whose rise has sent shockwaves through New York, the Democratic Party, and our nation. His popularity signals how far the unraveling has already come. Like the birds of prey descending on Abram – symbols of forces that threaten the sacred – a flock of socialists has descended on New York. In the name of “justice,” they are gnawing at its civic and moral foundations, hoping to feed on its prosperity.

The speed of change has been breathtaking. It feels inconceivable that we stand here today. I write this piece not out of hatred for Zohran and his supporters, but love for New York. A city built over centuries that has been a beacon of light and progress for the modern world. As a central hub of the global economy, we now face the possibility of a mayor with virtually no experience, little practical education, and highly questionable values.

Mamdani represents, to me, everything I fight against.

I am concerned that Mamdani represents a burgeoning New Left, one in which American values like hard work and meritocracy are dismissed rather than embraced. Mamdani’s CV reflects a highly privileged adult life. Internships for his celebrity mother, rapping stints, endless protests – but little actual work. He holds a degree in Africana Studies from Bowdoin, where nearly every course description contains the same litany of buzzwords: gender, class, justice, imperialism, oppression. It reads less like a curriculum than an indoctrination — Wokeism 101.

He listed his ethnicity as African American on his college applications, despite being of Indian descent. His base is largely white, affluent, educated, downwardly-mobile elites. This group seems to believe that apartments in Brooklyn are a birthright, stolen by billionaires and landlords.

The stakes for New York could not be higher. This is the man that many in our city want to put in charge. A man with virtually no work or management experience, whose ideology treats financial success as sin, police as villains, and government handouts as the ticket to a life of “dignity.”

Now, we arrive at the Big, Tough Q’s.

Will New York remain a city of builders, doers, and dreamers under this kind of leader? Or will the builders leave, and take their incomes (and taxes) with them? The top 1% of New Yorkers cover 48% of income taxes. Scare them away, and we will be staring down a fiscal crisis unlike anything seen since the 1970s.

New York hasn’t been “a city of builders, doers, and dreamers” for many, many years, I’m afraid. As my friend Pfouts used to put it: “It’s a good thing they got the subway finished when they did. This ciry could NEVER build such a thing today, no way! A Chrysler Building, an Empire State? My God, they can barely even fill in a lousy pothole these days!” We shared many a good laugh over that one, although we both knew it was more true than it was funny.

Then again, except for isolated pockets here and there, the same transmogrification from builders and doers into pussies and geeks could be fairly said of the US generally. The kind of rugged, audacious, creative individuals who built not only NYC but America That Was itself seem to be mighty hard to come by nowadays, to our everlasting sorrow.

What were they rioting over? Well, I saw one report describing it as an ad hoc alliance of pro-Palestinians, leftist unions objecting to Meloni, and assorted neighbourhood “migrants”.

Whatever. It doesn’t really matter, does it? I mean, it’s not like twenty-five arrests at a Tommy Robinson rally, two-thirds of whom turn out to be anti-Tommy counter-protesters. All that can be said for certain is that, if you live almost anywhere in the western world, violence is in your future. For the moment, it comes overwhelmingly from the political left and their various shock-troops, whether Antifa or your local migrant sex-fiends. Because the left are the most turned on by it. Even the comparatively peaceful ones can’t stop salivating over the thought of killing you. Here, for example, a perfectly nice respectable American lady – probably listens to NPR – has a grand old time beheading an effigy of Trump:

In one of my previous analysis postings, I outlined three possible scenarios for the future after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

This corresponds to scenario 3, the one where insurrection edges into a simmering civil war a la Bosnia. I caught some flak in my replies at the time from people who thought an insurrection based in urban areas isn’t practical under modern conditions.

Antifa thinks it is. It’s what they’re planning for.

One of the things I have to remind myself of occasionally is that most people know essentially nothing about Communist theory and Communist revolutionary tactics.

Antifa is running the classic Communist playbook. Make the enemy fight you where you are strong and they are weak – where you have support among the people and (when possible) cover from sympathetic local officials.

Historically that has usually meant fighting from rural areas where the reach of the government is weak. But the Russian Revolution was an exception, and the revolution Antifa is trying to fight is another. Their natural home ground is large coastal cities run by left-wing Democrats.

To maintain their crumbling narrative, the left weaponized a deeply flawed study from the CATO Institute’s Alex Nowrasteh, which purports to show that right-wing extremists commit the majority of politically motivated killings in America. This convenient talking point has been parroted everywhere to deflect from the fact that their side just murdered one of conservatism’s most prominent young voices.

But when you actually examine Nowrasteh’s methodology—which I have—the whole thing falls apart faster than a House Democrat’s promise to secure the border.

Take Timothy McVeigh, labeled “right-wing” despite his ideology having nothing to do with traditional conservatism. McVeigh was an anti-government extremist whose rage stemmed from Waco and Ruby Ridge, not conservative principles. The man rejected both political parties, described himself as agnostic, and supported abortion rights.

Then there’s Anderson Lee Aldrich, the Club Q shooter, branded “right-wing” despite identifying as non-binary and suffering from documented mental illness. Peyton Gendron, the Buffalo supermarket shooter, gets the same “right-wing” label even though his own manifesto explicitly identified him as an “eco-fascist national socialist”—hardly traditional conservative ideology. The study also classified a couple who killed a sex offender as perpetrators of “right-wing” violence despite the fact it was a personal vendetta with no apparent political motivation whatsoever.

Even more telling is what Nowrasteh’s study leaves out entirely. Notice how the data shows a convenient dip in 2020—the same year America witnessed the most destructive riots in its history. The George Floyd riots caused billions in property damage and at least nineteen deaths, yet somehow none of these deaths made it into his tally of political violence.

The Waukesha Christmas parade attacker, who drove his truck through a crowd in 2021 killing six people, also got left out. When you correct for these glaring omissions and misclassifications, the numbers between left-wing and right-wing violence become roughly equal—and that’s just examining the past decade.

But, the narrative that political violence is a right-wing problem took another hit this past week, when, Anibal Hernandez-Santana, a 64-year-old former legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers, decided to turn his politics into bullets with a drive-by shooting at the local ABC station. This wasn’t some random act—it happened just one day after protesters gathered there with their usual signs calling Trump “Hitler” and his supporters “fascist enablers.” Hernandez-Santana absorbed that mood of righteous fury, posted calls for Trump’s demise on social media, and then carried his left-wing politics into the realm of violence.

And that wasn’t all. Saturday night in Nashua, New Hampshire, 23-year-old Hunter Nadeau opened fire at the Sky Meadow Country Club, killing one and injuring at least two others while shouting “Free Palestine!”

The truth is unavoidable: the left doesn’t just tolerate political violence, it cultivates it. They spent the summer of 2020 making excuses for rioters while their media allies described burning buildings as “mostly peaceful protests.” They’ve created an atmosphere where their followers believe they have a moral obligation to commit violence against their political opponents.

We keep hearing lectures about “rising extremism on the right,” but the evidence keeps piling up showing exactly where the real threat is coming from. A popular conservative leader gets assassinated. A leftist union operative shoots up a television station. An anti-Israel radical sprays gunfire into a country club. And somehow the left still thinks it can wag its finger at conservatives?

Well, naturally. When you’re not merely comfortable with spewing brazen lies in the face of obvious truth but have actually come to prefer it that way, wagging a finger self-righteously at your hated enemies begins to look like pretty small beer.

Bring Back Asylums: It’s Time To Talk About Transgender Fatigue In America
Transgenderism is not a civil rights movement; it’s a social engineering experiment. The LGBT movement is not a struggle for equal rights; it’s a covert war for political control. The agenda of the people involved in the spheres of trans-activism are radical zealots hellbent on the destruction of their enemies by any means necessary – And if you believe in logic, objective reality, biological science and moral imperative, then you are one of their enemies.

A prime strategy of the trans movement is the indoctrination of our children. They rarely have any children of their own and in order to perpetuate their numbers they must groom future generations to their cause. And, it has become clear that if they can’t indoctrinate our kids, they are perfectly willing to murder our kids.

The resulting anger against the greater trans movement makes perfect sense: Americans have transgender fatigue. We are fed up with these unhinged lunatics. We are done with them, and they’re not going to like what comes next.

I am so tired of the mainstream media continuing to perpetuate the fallacy that people can choose their gender. Even in the case of a mass killer, they insist on “respecting the person’s pronouns”. This behavior is enabling these mentally ill bottom feeders to act the way they do.

Westman in his manifesto confesses that his transition efforts were a mistake and that he wished he had never “brainwashed himself”. He noted that he “wished he was a girl” but had accepted that it was impossible. He kept his hair long as the “last shred” of the facade of being transgender because he was afraid to cut it and admit “embarrassing defeat”.

This revelation supports what I have been saying for years – The vast majority of trans people are frauds. They are putting on an activist costume because they are rebels desperate for any cause to latch onto. People with legitimate gender dysphoria are exceedingly rare, but mental illness in general is common in America today.

In the wake of the shooting Democrats are trying to turn the event into a gun issue. It’s not. Millions of Americans have guns and almost no one decides to go shoot up a school filled with little kids. No, this is about an ideological cult that glorifies mental illness. This is about transgenderism. Trans activists and the people who enable them are the problem.

I want to be clear that I’m not talking about all people who dress up as the opposite gender (or sex, whatever you prefer). There are conservative trans people out there that disagree with the LGBT movement on most things. I’m talking about the leftist political militants. They need to go. There is no room for them in the US any longer.

I think the solution is obvious: It’s time to bring back the asylums and lock up the crazies. It’s not a novel idea, it’s become a mantra for many people in 2025. I discussed the advantages of asylums in my article “How To Solve Violence In The US? Remove Democrat Run Cities And Bring Back Asylums”, published in 2023.

During the peak of America’s asylum era crime plunged to all time lows. If asylums are coupled with extended prison time for repeat offenders, crime nearly disappears. There were trespasses and abuses within some hospitals that should be addressed, but I would argue that overall the use of asylums was an undeniable net positive for society. After we shut them down, crime skyrocketed. We’ve been trying to cope ever since using state prison systems.

The time for discourse is over. The time for compromise and compassion is over. The time for brutal ignominy is at hand. At the very least these people need to be laughed at, mocked and shamed out of existence. Every aspect of trans activism needs to be shunned and erased from our society. Those who express clear threats of violence need to be locked up as they would have been 70 years ago.

Bold mine, and entirely dispositive. As I’ve argued before, Left/liberalism is an unnecessary evil that none but an affluent, advanced, stable society can afford to put up with, and even those societies can’t turn a blind eye to them for very long and keep being affluent, developed, and stable. Same-same with all the rest of Leftism’s attendant psychopathological baggage, its corollaries, offshoots, and sub-branches, the current “transgender” craze being but one of those.

There’s currently quite a hullaballoo being raised over Trump’s deploying armed National Guard troops in crime-rife cities ravaged by years of D卐M☭CRAT misrule, not all of the complaints issuing from the expected Leftard sources. I share those concerns myself. In fact, my natural inclination would be towards prioritizing concerns about the dangers inherent in such a strategy above all else, except for one leetle thing: these are NOT normal times, and the conditions in America’s urban jungles is NOT acceptable.

It’s a rock-bottom truism that extreme circumstances often call for extreme measures if one wishes to reestablish civil order, restore law and order, and enable John Q Public to walk the streets at night without fearing for his life. So it is with us today, in the year of our Lord 2025 Anno Domini. Plainly, Trump has adopted this truism as his guideline for his Crimestoppers crusade. Certainly, setting AR-toting Guardsmen to patrol the mean streets of Mordor on the Potomac might well be considered an “extreme measure,” yeah. BUT…just look at the results it’s bringing in, which are truly remarkable. Basically, after only two (2) weeks every category of crime in DC has dropped by double-digits, with the overall aggregate number representing all crimes in the District falling by a whopping 22%. I very much doubt if anybody, even Trump himself, expected his “extreme measure” in crime-ridden DC to be such a success after so short a time.

In the old America wherein the Constitution reigned supreme and individual liberty was deeply seeded within the beating heart of every American, soldiers in full battle-rattle patrolling American streets would have been anathema. Unfortunately, that America ceased to exist many years ago, and this piss-poor facsimile we live in today is ill-suited for the kind of limited Constitutional governance envisioned by the great men who Founded this nation; the kind of people most Americans have become are incapable of it, and all to many of us nowadays lack the sand, the gumption, to rise to the challenge implicit in what Sam Adams unforgettably called “the animating contest of freedom,” preferring instead to “crouch down and lick the hands which feed you9.”

As is the case in many Third World shitrapies, Amerika v2.0 is too hopelessly broken to sustain the representative Republic bequeathed to us by our Founding Fathers. Like Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, and many others, present-day “Americans” require the hard hand of a despot to rule them—to keep their passions corked, their ambitions modest, and their inner savage under control.

The FUSA’s slow, bitter de-evolution into neo-barbarism, decadence, and dissolution was neither inevitable nor coincidental. No, it was done to us on purpose, with malice aforethought, being the fruits of a long-term strategy put together and painstakingly implemented by the Left. They themselves created the opportunity for their mad lust for absolute power to be requited, then jumped on that opportunity with boith feet, made the most of it. Talk about your self-made men, pulling themselves up by their bootstraps! The accursed villeins shitlibs preferred to Washington, Jefferson, Adams, &c as THEIR “forefathers”—ie, Marcuse, Croly, Gramsci, Alinski—must be proud of their ideological descendants.

Having made their fondest dreams come true after so very many years of blood, sweat, toil, and extraordinary patience, Leftists are NOT going to just walk away from the prize they spent nearly a century pursuing simply because Real Americans ask them nicely to. Nor will negotiations, appeals to their decency, honor, and/or conscience, stirring recitations of America’s storied history, or windy bluster that everybody knows going in is empty words from the mouths of hollow, chestless men be of any real help.

Voting? The over-ballyhooed “ballot box”? Whaddya, a comedian or sump’in? G’wan, GEDOUDDAHEAH!!

Nope, the one thing, the ONLY thing, that stands even a ghost of a chance of retrieving America That Was from the clutches of the Left goblins and putting Lady Liberty back at the head of the American table where she belongs is unattenuated, uncompromising, remorseless violence. That’s all—full stop, end of story. Want your stolen country back? Okay then, here’s what you gotta do: 1) mow the Enemy down in windrows with a Ma Deuce; 2) stack Enemy bodies like cordwood; 3) put the skeer on ‘em and keep it on ‘em until they’re so frazzled the mere idea of ever tussling with us again makes them shit their britches out of sheer fright.

Should such an all-out campaign of to-the-last-man violence be successful, follow-on measures will be necessary to prevent the Leftybeast’s reanimation, so as to avoid having to repeat the whole process all over again a few years down the road. Speaking of which, the D卐M☭CRAT Party itself must be immediately disbanded, dismantled, and outlawed, as should any/all socialist, Marxist, or collectivist political organizations. Individual Leftists/D卐M☭CRATs who have not been imprisoned or hanged for high treason (yet) are to be continually monitored—their phones tapped, tracking devices attached to the undercarriage of their automobile(s), their homes under 24/7 surveillance conducted by qualified surveillanced specialists who shall be equipped with ultra-sensitive microphones, cameras, voice-activated recorders, and micro-miniature robotic devices with radio transmission/reception, audio recording, mobility, and Bluetooth capabilities. All Subject’s movements, both within the home and outside it, shall be tracked and logged.

At NO time, under NO circumstances, should Subject not be under direct eyes-on observation by no fewer than one (1) surveillance agent. Should the entire surveillance team ALL somehow lose visual contact with Subject, even momentarily, the mission is to be regarded as compromised, and further surveillance activity shall be discontinued without delay. No, after having seen FederalGovCo take away our rights one by one, having to do the exact same thing ourselves to the Leftybots shouldn’t impose an unbearable burden of guilt on anybody. We don’t have to like it, and some of us may very well not, even if it IS purely a temporary thing until the Lefty menace has been abolished. Then everything can go back to normal again, wih any luck for a good long while. To even think of depriving others of their rights, flinging the Constitution down and dancing upon it, is nothing short of heartbreaking to many of us. Which, that’s as it should be, really. The more pain we feel from it, the less likely we’ll be to neglect putting everything back the way it was again once the shitlib infestation has been eradicated.

Unpleasant as it may be to contemplate, what else can we do that might possibly turn the trick for us? Seriously now, can the Left reasonably expect to be extended rights which they’ve striven ardently for many years to deny ALL of us? Likewise, ought they to be granted privileges, liberties, and protections which have been enumerated, established, and defended by a country they intend to destroy, vilify with every other breath they take, and hate so viciously it makes my hair hurt to think of it? Should Leftists be allowed, figuratively speaking, to shelter beneath a flag they’d greatly prefer to burn than to salute?

How long will we pretend not to notice the turd in the punchbowl before we scoop it up with a guppy net, drop it into the toilet, and flush the vile thing the hell away? Because seems to me that’s a right fair metaphor for where we all are at the moment viz a viz the treasonous, treacherous, racist, sexually warped, deceitful, violent, lazy, ineducable, anti-American, hate-crazed Left.   • Rampant immorality, greed, self-obsession, loss of faith in institutions, “expert” opinion, and authority
  • Irrepairable division, distrust, and discord between multitudinous segments of the populace have torn wide, deep fissures in the nation’s bedrock—fissures which are unbridgeable; divisions and distrust which are way beyond even the most silver-tongued devil’s ability to talk us all through it; strife which, once the skirmishers have done their duty and the firing of the pickets has sputtered to a very occasional sultry POP, will suddenly burst wide open. Suddenly, the contending armies find themselves in the middle of a bona fide battle which no lieutenant general can end, no brigadier can manage, no bird colonel can direct, and no crusty, been-there-done-that senior NCO has ever seen the like of before. The massed units of infantry, armored cav, artillery, and CAS on both sides will be grievously hurt, whoever lays claim to being the “victor” when the firing has ended. None shall be spared, none shall leave this field of honor unscathed. After the shattering life or death struggle, one simple query will haunt the thoughts of American civilians far removed from the field: will our flag still be there? Will America itself still exist, or will shot and shell have ripped our country into pieces too small to be sewn back together again?   • Young males bullyragged by teachers, the media/entertainment/arts complex, shrieking Feminazis, doctors, nurses, and “counselors” until they emerge from their forced re-progamming as emasculated, lily-livered twatwaffles good for nothing but sitting in a dark closet trembling and mumbling softly to himself. Enlightened überliberals say this is a HUGE improvement over the Old Way because boys are just too darn competitive, aggressive, loud, rumbustious, “toxic,” and hard-headed; as has been the way with all little boys since Australopithicus roamed the veldt grunting, farting, scratching himself, and picking his nose, adult women can’t control them, they can’t control themselves, and worst of all, before you know it they’ve exited the tribulation of puberty and become *shudder* MEN!!   • Creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship choked out by rules, regulations, prohibitions, red tape, and bureaucratic meddling which increase geometrically but have never, EVER decreased
  • Government “schools” churning out hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of high school graduates who can neither read nor do simple math; meanwhile, teachers are brutally beaten, stabbed, threatened, molested, and terrorized by feral Dindus who never face meaningful sanctions for their disruptive, bestial behavior

All these problems and lots, lots more besides brought to you exclusively by Leftist ideologues, sneakthieves, bunco artists, snake oil salesmen, and flim-flam men.

I do hate to have to make suggestions advising we abandon Constitutional principles and strictures against big-government excess until the Leftist mind-disease has been excised such as I did earlier, I truly do. Unfortunately, the Leftist tick has burrowed so deeply into the oleaginous flesh of our flabby body politic that in order to root the little bloodsuckers out and rid ourselves of them, we’re not only going to have to do things that just don’t sit right with Real American patriots, we’re going to have to make some serious adjustments to our own beliefs, attitudes, and values as well, at least until the scourge of Leftist ideology has been satisfactorily dealt with, and whatever’s left of America That Was has been reopened under the Old Management, and is well on its way to being restored to her former glory.

Basically, we’ll have to become the type of people we never wanted to be—to become a sort of mirror image reflecting the worst qualities of our enemies—to be almost as bad as they are, stoop just about as low, only nooooot quite. Sadly, the lengths to which we’ll need to go in order to liberate ourselves, our nation, and future generations from the malign influence of the Evil Left are an indication of just how far they’ve dragged us down the road to Leftard ruin. Thanks be to God that we haven’t gotten quite as far along that dark and perilous road as the Brits haven’t, or not just yet, at. any rate. Nevertheless, we’re hot on their heels and closing in fast, that is precisely what must be changed before it’s too late to even slow our suicide plunge over the collectivist cliff, much less stop it, MUCH less turn this bus around and change course while we still can.

Americans don’t realize how screwed their own country is or why Brits aren’t pussies for only responding now… So I’ll explain.

In Britain you’re broke and can’t afford a house and the government’s flooding you with migrants… but you can still walk down the street to a bar where everyone’s white and knows your name, see your dad and granddad talking with the old guys inside, hang with your friends from school, everyone cheers during the game, and then go back to your miserable little apartment with a girl you had a crush on in grade 10.

Maybe 1 in 10,000 Americans could imagine something like that ever happening to them on the best night of their life. This is just a good weekend out of the year in any English town.

Likewise in America its nightmarish to imagine a little white girl would be harassed by brown and black foreigners… Because Americans already fled that in the 1960s and every subsequent decade and every hour of work of the average white American is so they can afford to avoid brown and black people.

What we are seeing in the UK is Britain becoming 20% as bad as America was just getting in 1961.

Islam is a revolutionary political philosophy that uses an ersatz religion to manipulate and motivate its adherents. The Twelvers sect of Shia Islam is a particularly nutty branch that specifically seeks the apocalypse to usher in the return of Muhammad al-Mahdi, the twelfth Imam. That means America and Israel must be destroyed!

But all is well! Only about 85% of Shia Islam believe that! Of course Iran is the most prominent Twelver Shia country, because they have assiduously pursued that goal for the last 46 years…bankrupting the country, throwing it back into the dark ages, and fomenting terrorism throughout the world. On the way it created a comprehensive police state, and cultivated terrorist proxies in the Middle East: Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis are the big ones, but there are others in Bahrain and Iraq, and Syria.

But the biggest and most expensive effort is of course Iran’s efforts to design and build nuclear weapons. And not just any nuclear weapon…they want ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads! And that requires highly enriched uranium and significant engineering. No shipping container bombs for Iran! They want the best!

And for what? The destruction of Israel is number one. The destruction of America is number two. On the way they might take shots at Europe, and maybe Saudi Arabia; the center of Sunni Islam. That would be a bonus, but their real target is Israel.

And they will never stop. The raison d’être of the Iranian Mullahs and their lunatic acolytes is the arrival of the twelfth Imam, and nothing will deflect them from that goal. Nothing will stop their nuclear aspirations. Nothing will stop their support for terrorist organizations across the globe. Nothing will moderate their maniacal desire for the world to go up in nuclear flames.

Except regime change.

At the end of the day it all boils down to this: eradicating the jihadi threat of necessity means eradicating the jihadis. Next steps along the road to dignity, honor, and righteousness will be to face up to that harsh truth; acknowledge the suicidal futility of attempting to dispute an obvious truth. Then and only then will you have readied yourself to act as if you really mean it this time. Anything less than a full, frank, honest assessment of the slavering beast you must do battle with and you might as well go ahead and surrender, you’re just jerking off here. Get back to me when you’re ready to get serious about seeing this thing through to the very end.

The Iranian regime represents a threat which is real, credible, and cannot be nullified via Western conscience-balming fripperies such as sanctions, treaties, pallets of cash, or windy threats of an impending reckoning that never seems to come. Really? If you did, it’ll be sitting in a pile of fecal matter. Even as it happened, the loss of California was not much analysed: The Democrats preferred to take their victory sotto voce, while Republicans were still bleating about “Ronald Reagan’s California”, as if it had not joined the Lost City of Atlantis on the bottom of the seabed. Orange County, said Mr Reagan, is where “all good Republicans go to die”.

Almost right. It’s where the Republican Party went to die. In 1990 the OC was still two-thirds white; now it’s a third, or the same as the Hispanic population. And yet the GOP remains mystified why one of the most Republican strongholds in the country is now just another Democrat county. California has more electoral votes than any other state. Across the country, in another vote-rich state, New York City is now forty per cent immigrant.

In the end, it’s all demography. Yesterday, I quoted from an old column of mine from the immediate aftermath of the 2012 election. But I thought the whole thing could use a replay – because demography killed California, and demographic transformation is not a natural phenomenon.

Did someone mention NYC just now? Why yes, I believe someone did at that.

Arsonists torched at least 11 NYPD vehicles in a targeted attack in a Brooklyn parking lot early Thursday — with undetonated explosive devices also found after two masked suspects were seen running away, police and sources said.

Police and FDNY responded to a report of multiple vehicles ablaze at a lot in Bushwick at the intersection of Central and DeKalb avenues — just a block from the 83rd Precinct station house — around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Mayor Eric Adams said at an unrelated press conference that 11 vehicles were damaged and 14 were impacted. No injuries were reported.

The NYPD did not immediately give a suspected motive for the attack, however a flyer taped to a wall directly across from the police station accuses officers of the 83rd precinct of breaking up Puerto Rican Day festivities on Sunday night, injuring revelers.

The fliers called for resistance against the police, and tied in the anti-ICE and protests have spread from Los Angeles to New York City and global anti-Israel protests.

“Now is the time for unified, disciplined action — from Palestine to Puerto Rico to Los Angeles, the struggle for freedom continues,” the flier read.

The above-cited reports of outbreaks of organized, coordinated shitlib violence from sea to shining sea are purely coincidental and entirely unrelated, I’m sure.

This land is THEIR land update! So what’s really going on here, you might well ask? Oh, lots. Lots, and lots, and lots, and LOTS.

Which makes sense given that many people in Texas and California have Mexican ancestry. Let’s take a look at when the US purchased California and half of Mexico’s territory in 1848 got California, other states from Mexico for $15 million in 1848

The protests in Los Angeles, a response to the immigration policies of the Trump administration, continue to rage.

Though US President Donald Trump has sent thousands of National Guard troops as well as hundreds of marines, the demonstrators seem to be undeterred.

But how did it all come about? Let us take a closer look.

It all kicked off way back in the 1840s.

Tensions between the two countries had been growing for years.

On the one side you had the US evangelists of the concept of “manifest destiny” – which preached the superiority and the seemingly divine right of Americans to colonise whatever lands they saw fit on the continent – and on the other you had a wary Mexico.

In the meantime hostilities had nearly broken out between the two countries after the US Navy in 1942 – wrongly believing that war had broken out – seized Monterey in California.

While Monterey was immediately returned, it was a harbinger of things to come.

In 1845, outgoing President John Tyler annexed Texas as his final act in the US’ highest office.

By then, Mexico had severed diplomatic relations with the United States.

Polk began with diplomacy – he initially attempted to buy California, New Mexico and land near Texas for $30 million.

In November 1845, he even sent US diplomat John Slidell to open negotiations with Mexico.

However, Slidell was soundly rebuffed – the Mexican government refused to even see him.

But Polk was prepared– he had already sent US Army commander Zachary Taylor to occupy disputed land.

When Mexican troops fired on Taylor and his forces, Polk had the pretext he needed.

Polk immediately moved Congress for a declaration of war against America’s neighbour.

The Mexican-American War would end (with) the US comprehensively defeating its neighbour.

American armies led by General Zachary Taylor and General Winfield Scott, often outnumbered, would defeat Mexican troops again and again in a series of pitched battles.

The US lost more soldiers to infection and disease than actual battle.

Ulysses S Grant and Robert E Lee, the men who would respectively lead the Union and Confederate armies during the Civil War, received their first taste of real combat in Mexico.

And the rest, as they say, is history…like it or lump it, beaners.

The glancing mention of Grant and Marse Robert above is notable, apt, and historically insructive. By and large, Civil War v1.0 would be fought by two national armies whose officer corps had won their respective spurs in the Mex-Ami rhubarb. With the Federal army, the majority of its field-grade officers would be offered their commissions based almost entirely on their Mexican War reputations, which sometimes had been fairly won and other times…eh, not so much.

In the long run, the relative cakewalk South of the US border ended up serving the US and CSA both quite well as a sort of hands-on, non-classroom OCS/practical training course/advanced tactical studies program for the shattering, murderous conflagration soon to get underway North of the border.

Marines Deployed To Another Third-World Country Full Of Hostile Foreigners
LOS ANGELES, CA — As has become the standard operating procedure for the military branch over the last half-century, 700 members of the United States Marines found themselves being deployed to yet another third-world country that is full of hostile foreigners.

In this latest deployment to a non-English-speaking wasteland, the Marines were supremely confident that they would be able to handle the marauding hordes of foreign nationals, despite the inhospitable conditions presented by the rubble and destruction of the surroundings.

“Same thing, different day,” said Sergeant Heath Parsons. “We know the drill. We train and prepare until the day when our number is called and we have to report to save the world by traveling to some third-world hell-hole to confront foreign hostiles. We’re used to it at this point.”

Though there had already been some skirmishes in which Marines clashed with the angry natives in the area, the presence of the U.S. Military had already had an impact on the war-torn region. “You can catch little glimpses of what this place used to be like,” said another Marine. “It’s part of our job as Marines, in addition to being prepared to fight, to bring a little bit of hope with us from the United States to show places like this what life can be like under better circumstances.”

Some of the foreigners cautiously welcomed the Marines, while others remained combative when faced with English-speaking Americans.

Well, it’s just that, out in the “press 2 for English” sectors of the FUSA, they run across so vanishingly few of the darn things, see. Puts them right out of their reckoning. “Exotic” doesn’t even begin to cover the idea of an American in LA who actually speaks the King’s English.

At publishing time, rumors persisted that the Pentagon was committed to eventually establishing a democracy in the area.

Shhhhyeeeaah, THAT’LL be the day. You’d have a tough time coming up with much more than, oh, eight or ten people—irrespective of ethnicity, nationality, income (if any) and/or educational level, citizenship status, gender, sexual orientation, etc etc who’d be willing to admit harboring even a passing interest in that ”democracy/liberty/prosperity” horsepuckey at this late date, I‘d guess. Well, except for the areas within, say, five-ten minutes’ walk of Ft Irwin, Camp Pendleton, Coronado, Miramar, Seal Beach, and El Centro, perhaps—haven’t been out to any of those places in a long while, but I can’t imagine that the old-time religion of abiding love of country, strong sense of duty and honor, the legacy of traditions and beliefs faithfully passed down from our Forefathers from generation to generation have all just quietly passed not just from existence but even from the memories of our young soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. No way.

Then again, though, throw San Fransicko, San Berdoo, Compton, and Oakland into the mix with LA and it would probably be more than enough to tip the scales well back into Team Stalin territory and away from any more of that “democracy” nonsense for good.

Let’s not even go into the impact on this “democracy” discussion Cullyfornia’s military airfields; training bases; rifle, AGM, aerial bombing, and artillery ranges, as well as not-quite-as-venerable but every bit as proud, honorable installations such as Fort St George of Fentanyl, Camp Jordan Neely, and NAS “Bathhouse” Barry Soetero are likely to bring to bear when all’s said and done, ‘kay?
