Not to put too fine a point on it: but whenever a lawfare ninja of the Democratic Party utters the phrase “our democracy,” you must know that they are completely full of shit. For sure, they do not mean anything remotely related to an American commonweal, as understood by people of sound mind and good faith. What they mean by “our democracy” is the state as a racketeering operation run for the sole benefit of their party members, along with the ruthless power to annihilate their opponents and critics.

The war-cry “our democracy” only signifies how degenerate they have become. Though they yearn to win control of Congress in these midterm elections by any means necessary, the party’s actual prospects are not so great, having nominated a pack of obvious morons and reprobates such as Abdul el-Sayed (MI), James Talarico (TX), Angie Nixon (FL), Troy Jackson (ME), and Peggy Flanagan (MN) for the US Senate.

Now, it appears that President Donald Trump is determined to clean up our fraud-ridden election process this year, one way or another. Hopes are nearly dead for Congress passing a comprehensive election reform law, the SAVE Act, so he has looked to other measures. One is a procedure for the US Postal Service to match and track mail-in ballots to real persons with actual addresses listed on state voter rolls. The matter is still working through courts. The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division has pledged to send about 1000 election monitors to polling places around the country as “observers,” which could obviate arrant shenanigans like the broken toilet ploy in Fulton County, GA, 2020.

All that is a prelude to a disturbing roll-out of events that anyone paying attention can see coming this fall. The Democratic Party has massive resources not just to stall and obstruct pre-election reform, but to mount a vicious resistance after the fact if it doesn’t produce their desired result. They could go as far as to repudiate the election, refuse to accept its results. If the president does issue that NatSec EO prior to the election, blue state officials could refuse to hold elections under new rules. Thirty states have already refused to comply with DOJ demands to submit their official voter rolls for evaluation. Some of the aforementioned activist NGOs have promised post-election street actions (demonstrations that could easily turn into riots).

In the face of that, you can foresee the necessity of the president having to invoke the Insurrection Act of 1878 (10 U.S.C. §§ 251–255). The act provides an exception to the Posse Commitatus Act, also 1878, which forbids the use of the US military to act as police inside the USA. Under the Insurrection Act, the president can federalize states’ national guard units to enforce federal law or protect constitutional rights when ordinary civilian means are not enough.

The Act has been used before in our history about thirty times by fifteen presidents, including the Great Railway Strike of 1877 (Pres. Hayes); the Pullman Strike of 1894 (Pres. Cleveland); the Little Rock School Desegregation resistance of 1957 (Pres. Eisenhower sent in the 82nd Airborne). Pres. Lyndon Johnson invoked it three times: the Selma to Montgomery March of 1965; the Detroit riots of 1967; and the riots that followed the Assassination of Martin Luther King, 1968. Pres. George H. W. Bush used it in 1994 to quell the Rodney King Riots in Los Angeles.

If Mr. Trump invokes the Insurrection Act around any violence or organized election rebellion this year, he will invite the Democrats to label him an autocrat, a tyrant, a wannabe king, as they have been taunting him and goading him with for years. Let’s suppose that will be enough to inflame the party’s activists. I think you can see how this lays the groundwork for something that looks like a new civil war. The repudiation of election results by blue states would be enough.

If they’re gonna smear him anyway, regardless of what he does or does not—and they ARE going to, and we all know it—then who gives a flying fig what they may say? Let ’em whine, let ’em bitch, let ’em cavil and threaten and bluster to their hearts’ content, and just go ahead and do the things that need doing and leave them to their bubbling, frothy misery.

Then, if in response they start in with yet another round of their patented violent fascist rioting, looting, and burning, then shoot their scraggly, seditious asses and leave ’em lay to bleed out in the street, in job lots. As great American Curtis LeMay knew: if you kill enough of them they stop fighting.

As I’ve said lo, these many times: if they really think they want another Civil War, then they should be given one…good and hard, until the very thought of such a horrific eventuality makes them retch their nuts up.

Kunstler goes on from there to close things out with a casual, breezy “Of course, it will be the end of the Democratic Party.” As if that were a bad thing, somehow.

Recall the Bush family’s “New World Order”, the “Thousand Points of Light”, etc. All of which was nothing more than an attempt to sell to the American people communist overlords worldwide.

The current administration is in the process (well into it) of wrecking the anti American “New World Order” and the communists running it, and returning that power to the people.

If you have read some of my previous comments you would know that Iran has sunk zero ships in straight or area’s nearby. Zero, while their navy sits at the bottom of the sea. And yet we have hyperventilation about oil locked up (when it is actually flowing right on through the straight, through other channels, etc.) in the middle east. Why? Because control comes out of London, not the ME, not SA, not Iran, not Iraq. The insurers, the financiers, etc control the flow of oil, or rather – they did.

The USA now controls the straight, has for months now, and oil is flowing, which is why the price has been fairly stable – rising on the words of London, dropping when reality is known. And all along the price of gas at the pump in states not trying to stop Americans is nearly the same as it was in 1975.

Iran was defeated, completely, months ago. They rattle the sabers occasionally at the behest of the London cabal. The world is awash in oil, bad for London, good for us. The worldwide oil market is going to look vastly different by years end.

The US economy is booming. Real jobs are being created. Real investment is being made in factories. The results will show up down the road.

Illegals are being removed, lots of them. The borders are locked down, almost no one is coming in illegally. Under anyone else they would be flowing in and not deported.

“Stay the course” is a good slogan when the course is the right course. There are and will be setbacks and failures, but the course is the right one.

Over next month’s Labor Day weekend, Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed is to speak at a conference that will platform a rogue’s gallery of Islamic extremists.

The conference in Detroit is the 63rd annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America, a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate that was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2007-28 Holy Land terrorism-funding trial.

Other speakers among a plethora of Islamists include Siraj Wahhaj, a former ISNA vice-president who was himself an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Wahhaj, who has called for the full application of sharia law including amputation, stoning and the execution of gay people, makes no secret of his aim to Islamize America.

He has said: “You don’t get involved in politics because it’s the American thing to do. You get involved in politics because politics are a weapon to use in the cause of Islam.”

Another scheduled convention participant, Zaid Shakir, has said: “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate. If we put a nationwide infrastructure in place and marshaled our resources, we’d take over this country in a very short time.”

Apart from El-Sayed’s participation, the question has to be asked how this conference has been able to platform such dangerous extremists year after year. Why are such individuals allowed to run jihadi mosques and other institutions that pose such a threat to the state? How come America has permitted such dangerous extremists to be able freely to promote such jihadi subversion?

As for those “jihadi mosques,” some smart Hun has hit upon the perfect preemptive solution to that thorny issue.

BERLIN (AP) — Nine wooden spikes topped with parts of a dead pig were planted on a plot of land where Muslims are planning to build a mosque in the eastern city of Erfurt, German police said Monday.

The 1.5 meter-tall (nearly 5-foot) stakes were topped with half of a pig’s head, pig feet, and pig bowels among other things, the German news agency dpa reported. Police say whoever was responsible is unknown.

Pigs are considered unclean by Muslims.

There have been repeated protests against the construction of the Ahmadiyya mosque in Erfurt, including one by protesters who erected large Christian crosses on a neighboring property.

A spokesman for the Erfurt community, Mohammed Suleman Malik, said in a statement to The Associated Press that “while such acts do not make us lose our composure…we find it very sad that people go down to such a level.”

The $3.8 Billion Lie: Why Cutting Aid to Israel Would Sabotage America’s Power, Not Save It.

The US federal budget is about $7 trillion. That $3.8 billion to Israel is less than 0.05% of it. The defense budget is around $960 billion. The aerospace and defense industry generates nearly $1 trillion in sales and about $500 billion in economic value. Most of that $3.8 billion goes right back into American companies and jobs.

Israel’s own budget is about $220 billion. This is not charity, and Israel is not dependent on it. If it was just a matter of money, Israel could build its own weapons on its own. It has that capacity. But this is a real partnership, just like any corporate partnership where each side contributes to the project.

Israeli pilots and the Israeli defense establishment operate under constant threat from terrorists, jihadists, and anti-American entities. They make real-time, do-or-die adjustments to equipment developed for both countries.

That is what gives American weapons their edge over Russian, Chinese, and other competition. This is how America builds and maintains power through smart, long-term vision.

Yet the anti-Israel crowd, including figures like Ilhan Omar and Zohran Mamdani, tells the public that cutting this tiny fraction would make everyone rich. It’s not just a lie. It’s ridiculous.

If people with that Robin Hood mindset gain real power, they would sabotage the American way of investing, developing, and staying dominant. At the same time, American Jews, roughly 7.5 million strong, contribute an estimated $250 billion annually to the US treasury through taxes. Their bond with Israel isn’t just strategic; it’s family.

Cutting aid to Israel while pushing to isolate it sends a clear message to this highly productive community: your taxes may fund policies hostile to your family and your values.

These new voices aren’t serving the American people. They’re advancing Islamic and communist agendas, whether funded by China or anti-American Islamic regimes.
This outrage over Gaza is manufactured by the same terrorists and jihadists who dragged Israel and America into this dirty war, using human shields and weaponizing civilians by design to turn Americans against their own government and allies.

Replacing a proven alliance and a successful economic fabric with dependency and foreign interests is a dangerous gamble. The average American needs to wake up.

Three in 4 Democrats say they would be open to supporting a democratic socialist for president, but less than half of all Americans say they would vote for such a candidate, according to a Washington Post-Ipsos poll.

Republicans and right-wing influencers are increasingly invoking “communism,” often to criticize democratic socialists and the Democratic Party broadly, according to a Washington Post analysis. Americans split on this comparison in the Post-Ipsos poll, with 30 percent saying democratic socialism is similar to communism while 32 percent say it is different and 36 percent saying they are not sure.

Democratic socialism has clearly caught on with many Democrats, fueling questions about how that energy will affect upcoming elections, including the 2028 presidential race. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York), a DSA member, is viewed as a potential presidential candidate.

The Post-Ipsos poll indicates that 55 percent of Americans would not consider voting for a democratic socialist for president, while 39 percent would consider supporting one and 6 percent having no opinion. A majority of self-described independents, 54 percent, would also rule out a democratic socialist candidate.

The paper dolls, with gender-neutral names like “Sam,” “Rory,” “Avery” and “Parker,” have removable internal and external genitals, along with more than 100 interchangeable pieces of clothing, accessories and hairstyles — like a trans Mr./Mrs. Potato Head.

he goal is for kids to “learn about the different options that exist for who they can be,” according to a therapist at the University of Minnesota Medical School, which spent over half a decade developing the controversial project funded by lefty Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

The trans dolls — which promise to “make gender fun” — will be made available to teachers, school counselors, pediatricians and mental health providers, according to a website of the “MyGender Dolls” company. It’s not known whether parents — or children themselves — will be able to order a doll, or if they will only be marketed to professionals and schools. It is not known if parents will be able to opt out of such “therapeutic play” for their kids.

“They will find anybody who’s in trouble and use this as a tool to say, ‘this is why you’re unhappy.’ This is absolutely grooming,” slammed Dr. Quentin Van Meter, past president of the American College of Pediatricians.

“The younger kids — many of them still believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. And you’re then presenting them with paper dolls that kind of look fun, and you can change clothing, hair, genitals… It’s well beyond their ability to sort out fantasy from reality.”

When reached by The Post, a university spokesperson claimed no public funds were used “to support MyGender Dolls’ commercialization efforts.”

But when pressed on how much taxpayer money went to research and development of the dolls, and to the salaries of the professors involved in the project, the university refused to answer, telling The Post instead to file a freedom of information request.

Walz’s office did not return The Post’s request for comment.

Rand Paul Orders Fauci’s Lawyer Removed As Hearing Grows Chaotic
Former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases — and apparently, serial perjurer — Anthony Fauci pleaded the Fifth Amendment and had his lawyer answer for him one too many times during a congressional hearing Wednesday.

Senate Republicans are a lot of talk and no action most of the time. But it is understandable that Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) would want to harangue Fauci after the release of Fauci’s journal logs at NIAID during the COVID-19 pandemic revealed that Fauci repeatedly lied under oath to Congress. Fauci understands that pretty much anything he admits is incriminating at this point, which is why he kept having his lawyer answer. But a congressional hearing is not the same thing as an ordinary court, and one’s lawyer cannot simply answer questions from a senator without permission nor sit in the incorrect seat.

One of the most damning contradictions between Fauci’s public and congressional testimony versus what he was saying in private regarded his journal admission that the COVID vaccines were not in fact effective at preventing transmission. In May 2021, Fauci said during an interview aimed specifically at children, “But if you get vaccinated, when the virus tries to infect you, the virus can’t because you are protected.” In November of that year, Fauci told Business Insider that he didn’t know what parents were waiting for to inject their toddlers with the COVID-19 vaccines.

I doubt there’s any sensible, sane sort who seriously expects Fauci will ever face real justice for his serial crimes against the nation, the US Constitution, and its citizenry (which, far as I’m concerned, could only mean death by hanging), or even prison time. But he’s by no means out of the woods all the same; for one thing, he has America’s Governator on his despicable, lying ass too.

Biden-Pardoned Fauci Now Faces Florida State Investigation
It seems Dr. Anthony Fauci, his rapid-fire invocations of the Fifth Amendment, presidential pardon and all, isn’t out of the woods yet. Here at RedState and pretty much everywhere else in the known universe where people are following all this, we’ve noted that the pardon doesn’t protect Dr. Fauci from charges at the state level.

And, the first state to take action on that possibility? Florida. The Sunshine State is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci and his economy-crushing COVID-19 debacle.

So, what crimes might Dr. Fauci be on the hook for in Florida? The state of Florida may seek charges for civil rights violations resulting from the pandemic restrictions, which were ruinous to small businesses and damaging to schoolkids, who missed out on months of in-person instruction. But those matters are generally civil cases, not criminal ones. Florida may seek to file a civil lawsuit, but for better or for worse, Dr. Fauci was a federal employee making decisions that affected national policy; it’s hard to see a state, any state, pursuing criminal charges against him.

Governor Ron DeSantis was a vocal opponent of the COVID lockdowns, and Florida was among the first states to drop those restrictions. But it’s a little hard to see that developing into a criminal case, one that would convince a grand jury to return an indictment.

But civil liability? That may well be another story.

Possibly the most gratifying thing I’ve read all day on this is an account which reported—after feebly pleading the Fifth over a hundred times; having his lawyer unceremoniously chucked out of the Senate chambers; and being closely, aggressively questioned by several Sentaors included Paul Hawly, and Moreno—that Fauci the Poisonous Dwarf slunk away from his ordeal with tail dragging and head bowed, his rep forever destroyed by his own hubris, greed, and vanity. Happily, Fauci’s “legacy” will not now be what he had so desperately hoped it might, but rather one of disgrace, dishonesty, and disfavor.

Fauci, far from being the courageous, über-intelligent superhero whi stars in his idle fantasies, is nothing but a mediocrity who—via deceit, malfeasance, and stark contempt for scientific rigor—maneged to parlay an over-extended career as a big-government bureacrat into  personal wealth and, if not exactly fame, then notoriety anyway. If nothing else, no one should ever address him as “Doctor” again; he ain’t one—ain’t ever been, ain’t ever gonna be.

A young couple in Aceh just found that out after they shared a kiss on a TikTok stream, and found themselves hauled before a Sharia court and charged with violating the rules of modesty and the proper decorum that is to be maintained between an unmarried man and woman.

For that, they were each sentenced to 21 lashes, and the sentence was recently carried out before a gaping crowd of righteously indignant Sharia-adherent Muslims who know now never, ever to livestream a kiss. And so once again we see the true heart and soul of Islam: terror. While Muslim and non-Muslim Islamic apologists in the West continue to insist that the true Islam is benign and cuddly, and that terrorism is only a tiny minority of extremists’ “hijacking” of the religion, in reality, terror is at the very center of Islam. This latest caning in Aceh shows that anew.

The South China Morning Post reported Friday that “as each blow landed on their backs, the unnamed man, 22, and woman, 25, visibly grimaced. The woman later burst into tears, wailing in pain as the public punishment continued.” The Post noted that video of the canings had kicked up the usual firestorm: “It was far from the first such case to gain international attention and the response has become familiar: footage spreads online, rights groups condemn the punishment as inhumane and Aceh’s status as the Muslim-majority country’s sole sharia-enforcing province is thrust back into the spotlight.”

Yes indeed: “In a statement issued the same day as the flogging, Amnesty International said all forms of corporal punishment constituted torture or other ‘cruel, inhuman or degrading punishment,’ while its co-regional director, Montse Ferrer, called the caning of the couple ‘a horrifying act of discrimination.’”

In Aceh, however, they simply don’t care: “Nurjani, a 62-year-old housewife in Banda Aceh, said she supported caning because it ‘was about religion’ and in line with sharia law.” She explained: “If you do not do anything wrong, then there is nothing to fear. I support caning and I believe that if you lead your life in the right way and walk the right path, no one will question you.” Another Aceh resident, Muhammad Nasir, agreed, saying: “If someone is caned, it will be a lesson for them so that they do not do the same thing again. It has a physical element to it, but it is mostly social and designed to make the person ashamed of their crimes.”

Yes, and more than just ashamed: terrified. The caning is designed to make people afraid to violate Allah’s law again. People who have been caned in Indonesia have ended up collapsing and being hospitalized. If you don’t want to end up permanently injured, or at very least to suffer agonizing pain in front of a crowd that has gathered to watch you suffer, then don’t kiss a girl on TikTok.

This has nothing to do with virtue, the idea of choosing to do what is good because it is good. This is all about fear from the beginning to the end. The Qur’an tells Muslims to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (8:60), and lest any of Allah’s obedient slaves are tempted to violate his law and thus become his enemies as well, they get terrorized, too.

Every Westerner possessed of even a mere modicum of decency, compassion, and integrity is obligated to do everything he possibly can to aid in the destruction of Pisslam, one of the foulest, most fearful scourges ever to begrime our poor Earth.

The nightmarish blight that is Pisslam and all its evil works have been tolerated by the West for far, far too long now. We all know the score; without exception, every thinking person well knows deep in his heart what this vile pseudo-religion really is—what it intends, what it demands of its troglodytic followers, what wickedness and blood-drenched atrocities they gleefully commit, again and again, in its unholy name—yet in our disgraceful torpor, to our eternal shame we do nothing.

Pisslam must be obliterated, its loathsome adherents crushed until all that’s left is an unpleasant, rapidly-fading memory. Any lazy, gormless Westerner who keeps on puking forth one sad, sorry excuse after another for his political “leadership’s” flat refusal to take action to stanch the blood-dimmed tide of Mohammedanism—to foil the Musselman’s creeping, incremental conquest of all humanity—is guilty of de facto complicity in his own subjugation, and will reap the whirlwind he hath sown ere the end. I guar-on-gott-damn-TEE you he ain’t gonna enjoy it, either.

So there you have it, folks. We don’t have to like it, no…but we DO have to do it. There is no easy, fun, safe, pain-free option for us here. Success is by no means a sure thing, alas. Shame, disgrace, dishonor redux

Margolis closes this one out by saying he’s damned glad he no longer works there, and it’s not hard to see why he’d feel that way.

Buffalo, N.Y., has been named an All-America City twice, in 1996 and 2002, an honor the National Civic League hands out for civic engagement and community collaboration. Apparently, that engagement has limits, because the city now wants you to believe it couldn’t scrounge up a single spot in the entire city to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. City officials announced they were scrapping this year’s Fourth of July fireworks show, and the excuse they gave should make every resident furious.

According to Mayor Sean Ryan’s press office, “an appropriate site could not be identified that would provide a safe and widely accessible viewing experience for residents.” That’s the official story. A city of nearly 280,000 people, sitting right on the shore of Lake Erie, supposedly ran out of real estate.

That’s bull crap, plain and simple.

Buffalo just spent years and serious money redeveloping its waterfront into one of the most talked-about public spaces in western New York, and the city has held fireworks shows there before. Over the years, Buffalo has sponsored Independence Day fireworks at Niagara Square, Delaware Park, LaSalle Park, and Riverside Park: four different sites, decades of practice, zero problems. Then, in 2026, on the country’s 250th anniversary, suddenly nobody could find a spot.

Sure.

Mayor Ryan claims plans to hold the fireworks were on track until some 11th-hour complication scuttled them. He never said what that complication actually was.

Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.) put it better than I could. “Buffalo’s leaders claimed they ‘couldn’t find a site’ to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with fireworks. Yet they somehow had no trouble finding the time and space to raise a Somali flag. That wasn’t a logistical challenge. It was a choice.”

He added, “At a moment when our nation should be celebrating 250 years of freedom, those in charge sent a clear message about what they value, and it wasn’t America. The people of Buffalo deserve leaders who are proud to celebrate this country, not ones who treat patriotism as an afterthought. Elections have consequences, and so do the priorities of those we elect.”

Adding insult to injury, one day after announcing the fireworks were dead, the city let the nonprofit Heal International raise the Somali flag over City Hall at Niagara Square for the fourth year running, with local elected officials promoting the event.

Happily, certain atypically patriotic denizens of the New Sharia state of Buffalostan saw to it that this overly obnoxious, totally gratuitous insult didn’t end well for Caliphate authorities, and good on ’em for it:

The backlash against the city of Buffalo was swift. Overnight, vandals sliced the cable, pried open the flagpole’s access panel, and made off with the Somali flag entirely. Not many on social media are crying about it.

A consolation fireworks show is now planned for Aug. 2 at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, marking the day the last founding father actually signed the Declaration of Independence. Nice gesture. Six weeks too late, and beside the point.

Buffalo’s leaders had a choice between honoring their own country’s 250th birthday and honoring someone else’s, and they made it in under a week.

Sad as it is, infuriating as it is, that’s about the size of it, yeah.

When Will Obama Say, ‘What’s Happened to My Party?’
In 2013, Obama said, “… nobody questions the efficacy of market economies in terms of producing wealth and innovation and keeping us competitive.”

Today, some of the Democratic Party’s rising stars, with the biggest voices, do exactly that.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani vows to “replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.” One of his endorsed candidates for the U.S. House, Darializa Avila Chevalier, expressed views that would have been unrecognizable in the Democratic Party of President Obama.

Avila Chevalier once retweeted: “I just cannot get over the fact that the universe has foisted upon us the perfect illustration of literally every failing of capitalism and people are still like we can’t be communists cuz there won’t be enough types of soup.” CNN examined her now-deleted X account and reported it contained “repeated sympathetic references to communism, Marxist ideology and Soviet figures, including Vladimir Lenin.” Another post encouraged workers to “seize the means of production.” Another advocated worker control of wealth. She wrote: “You can call that communism, you can call it socialism, you can call it pancakes.” She described Karl Marx’s “Das Kapital” as an “essential must-read.”

Her posts went well beyond economics. In April 2020, she called Joe Biden a “rapist.” After then-Vice President Kamala Harris urged migrants not to cross the southern border illegally, Avila Chevalier responded: “I have no nuance to add. (Expletive) Kamala Harris.”

Avila Chevalier called for abolishing police and prisons, posted about wiping her hands on the American flag, and denounced interracial relationships by accusing Black and Arab men of “fetishizing ugly colonizer women,” one of several posts in which she attacked white women.

Claire Valdez, another Mamdani-endorsed Democratic nominee for the U.S. House, has vowed to “take away buildings” from alleged slumlords and supports nationwide rent control.

Where is Barack Obama?

Same place he’s always been: lurking backstage, disguised behind the mask of reasonable, moderate, common-sense Leftism. It’s a mark of how abysmally far we’ve come, in precisely the wrong direction, that his ideological heirs now disdain to even bother with the familiar old D卐M☭CRAT duplicity, disguises, and deceits.

Mexican Batman Duct-Tapes Alleged Motorcycle Thieves to Lamp Posts
A vigilante nicknamed ‘Batman of Lagos de Moreno’ has become known in the Mexican state of Jalisco for tying alleged motorcycle thieves to lamp posts

Tired of waiting for local police to do their duty and bring criminals to justice, a mysterious vigilante in the town of Lagos de Moreno, Mexico’s Jalisco state, has been duct-taping alleged motorcycle thieves to lamp posts and leaving them for authorities to find. At least five ‘victims’ have been found so far.

The mysterious ‘Batman’ started operating in Lagos de Moreno in mid-June. The first person was found duct-taped to a lamp post, with ‘thief’ written on his forehead, on June 13th. An allegedly stolen motorcycle was also found nearby, suggesting that the immobilized person was a thief. But this was only the beginning, as police have since discovered at least 4 other alleged thieves tied to lamp posts.

Yes, there are pictures, and they’re hilarious. Unfortunately, the “proper authorities” appear to have learned nothing whatsoever from all this (bold mine).

Although most people seem convinced this crusade against alleged motorcycle thieves is the work of a single vigilante, local authorities told news reporters that this might be the work of a gang of vigilantes. Interestingly, so far, the victims have not provided any clarification in that regard.

Jalisco’s Secretary of Public Security, Juan Pablo Hernández, reported that investigations are underway to clarify the attacks and locate those involved. He also emphasized that the five men found bound so far are currently being treated as victims, adding that no one should take the law into their own hands, regardless of their motives.

Yeah well, sorry to have to hip ya to it and all, pal, but people are only gonna take so much official crim-coddling, excuse-making, and hands-off, lackadaisical “policing” before they r’are up on their hind legs and start taking care of business for themselves. Expecting otherwise from them is a mug’s game, at best.

Remember, duct-taping the thieving skin-bags to a lamp post is the MODERATE response.
