Abbott follows through

Guess the ancient question, “is that a threat or a promise,” has now been answered in at least one context.

Texas begins dispatching buses to the border to transport illegal immigrants to DC
The Texas Division of Emergency Management tells Fox News Digital each bus can ‘carry up to 40 migrants’
Texas has dispatched buses to the southern border to retrieve illegal immigrants after Gov. Greg Abbott said this week that he planned to send those released in his state to the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Within the last 24 hours, the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has dispatched an unspecified number of buses to small Texas communities that are said by officials to be overwhelmed by an influx of migrants placed there by the federal government.

“In the last 24 hours, TDEM has dispatched buses to areas where communities have expressed concerns about the federal government dropping off migrants and has the capability to send as many as is necessary to fulfill the requests from mayors and county judges,” Seth Christensen, chief of media and communications for TDEM, told Fox News Digital.

Sweet as all that undoubtedly is, it gets even sweeter.

Christensen also said the majority of areas in the state that expressed concern over the large numbers of illegal immigrants being placed in their communities now say the federal government has “stopped dropping migrants in their towns” since Abbott’s announcement.

“From the [Rio Grande Valley] to Terrell County, a large majority of the communities that originally reached out for support through this operation have now said that the federal government has stopped dropping migrants in their towns since the governor’s announcement on Wednesday,” he said.

Well, howzabout that: as with an unruly puppy, all FederalGovCo really needed to make it straighten up and fly right again was a good, firm smack on the nose. More hilarity from PJM.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wasn’t bluffing when he said he would bus illegal aliens dropped off by the federal government in small Texas communities to Washington, D.C. Apparently, DHS simply dropped the illegals off without warning and without asking permission. Many Texas towns were blindsided by Joe Biden’s “catch and release” policy and were begging Abbott for help.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki whined that Abbott’s voluntary bus rides were a “publicity stunt.” Well, duh. But immediately after Abbott’s announcement, the federal government stopped dropping illegal aliens in the towns that had been pleading for help.

Senator Ted Cruz thought Abbott’s idea was so good he introduced legislation to expand the illegal alien transport program to what he considered to be other rich, Democratic enclaves.

Those enclaves include Martha’s Vinyard, Palo Alto, CA, Greenwich, CT, Scarsdale, NY—all wretched hives of shitlib villainy, thus deserving of having a few busloads of illegal aliens dumped at their doorstep. The wrap-up:

Abbott feels backed into a corner by the Democratic president. His choice is to fight the government using the tools of insurrection — publicity stunts and economic disruption. It’s all he has left before the human tidal wave is upon his state.

Ahh, but see how easy it is? All it took was just a small dose of tit-for-tat to get the goobermint to back down. Not to say they won’t try to wait Abbott out a while, to later on resume their on-the-sneak skullduggery when they figure attention has waned and they can get away with it. At which point Abbott must get his Wetback Coach Express Lines on the road again right away, perhaps even double down and escalate things in some way. And then, should that fail, I can think of a few other, less subtle “tools of insurrection” that might be resorted to in a pinch.

Good on ya, Governor Abbott. Your move now, Gov DeSantis. Make us all proud.

Market correction

Give it a year, possibly two, and the truck driver shortage will be over. Well, unless “president” Gropey, the US Congress, or some other goobermint official or agency steps in to “fix” everything.

Walmart increases salary for truck drivers to over $100,000
(KTVX) – As the U.S. deals with a nationwide shortage of truck drivers, Walmart has announced that the company will be offering their long-haul drivers a salary of up to $110,000 per year.

In a press release, the company said the latest investment not only gives first-year truck drivers the ability to make up to $110,000 but also gives drivers who have been with Walmart the opportunity to earn even more.

The average salary for a long-haul driver is $63,433 (base salary plus additional pay) per year, but “most likely” ranges between $28,000 and $149,000 annually, according to a Glassdoor study.

In raising its truckers’ salaries, Walmart is now on the same playing field as Sysco, which also advertises that its employees can make up to $110,000 a year.

Walmart also announced the launch of the first Walmart Private Fleet Development Program, a 12-week program where supply-chain associates in the Dallas, Texas, and Dover, Delaware, areas earned their commercial driver’s license (CDL) and became full-fledged Private Fleet Walmart drivers.

My brother told me about this earlier today, saying he was strongly considering applying for one of those jobs. And why the hell not? Sure, he’d be giving up the single biggest reason he decided to go with being an owner-operator and haul containers in the first place, ie, the near-total freedom to set his own hours and decide when he would work or not work. That is NOT nothing.

On the other hand, he’d also be losing the weight of responsibility currently hanging around his neck like an anchor from the USS Missouri: reponsibility for everything from paying for diesel to repairs of every kind on the truck to the thousand and one fees, licenses, endorsements, and of course taxes which eat up his earnings like a glutton at an AYCE buffet. Last year, for example, the truck made 100k or slightly over, if I remember right. My brother, pitifully enough, made 30-35k himself. That is by no means an insignificant comedown.

So jump from that not-entirely-enticing scenario to this one: 100k in salary, 150k for experienced road dogs, for 2-3 weeks on the road, then home for a week or somewhat less. Wal Mart handles your plates, IFTA stickers, endorsements, and inspections for ya. All you gotta do is show up at the yard, give your assigned rig a walk-around to kick tires, check underneath for puddles of truck-related fluids, and hit the highway. When it breaks down on the road—and trust me, it’s going to—you call the dispatcher, tell them where you are and what’s happened, and wait for the tow-truck to arrive. While cooling your heels lying on that big condo-cab bunk in back, you can think about all the money the tow, the repair, and everything else is gonna cost somebody else.

A pain in the ass? Of course it is, nothing but. It sucks; been there done that too many damned times myself, and it does indeed just pure-tee suck, especially when it’s freezing or sweltering out and your motor won’t run, depriving you of the comfort of the A/C or heat. But the suckage is profoundly attenuated when the bank account being drained by the aforementioned PITA ain’t yours.

  • BAD: Having to call for a tow
  • WORSE: Having to call for a tow which you must then pay for

So yeah, there are pros and cons to the deal, with which my brother will surely wrestle and agonize over before deciding which way to jump. But with Wal Mart also offering help for new drivers with getting their Class A and HazMat certification, you can bet there’ll be a goodly number of guys suddenly discovering a newly-kindled interest in this trucking thing that they’d never felt before. As for people who are piloting big rigs now, unless they’re in an owner-operator situation akin to my brother’s, this news from Wal Mart would have to hit home as a total no-brainer.

Oh, and did I mention that my brother is confident he can put an additional 80k into his kick by selling his Freightshaker Classic XL glider-truck too?

For drivers, the trucking field is a seller’s market right now, has been for several years. With this announcement, Wal Mart is providing a pluperfect example of how markets and capitalism are supposed to work. Even in a market so severely hogtied and strangulated by the ten thumbs of Big Bad Government, the market will always find a way of straightening itself out somehow, if there is one to be found. Mark my words: it may take a minute, yes, but the truck driver shortage is coming to an end.

Update! Straight from the horse’s mouth.

These latest investments mean Walmart drivers can now make up to $110,000 in their first year with the company. And that’s just a start – drivers who have been with Walmart longer can earn even more, based on factors like tenure and location.

The investments make driving for Walmart’s Private Fleet even more enticing than before, so we’re creating new ways to offer existing Walmart associates opportunities to drive with us. Here’s how our new Fleet Development Program works.

Working at Walmart already includes access to the Live Better U program, where Walmart covers the cost of tuition and books for a college degree, and our nationwide network of Walmart Academies. Now, we have launched the first-ever Walmart Private Fleet Development Program. Over the course of a 12-week program, supply chain associates in the Dallas, Texas, and Dover, Delaware, areas earned their commercial driver’s license (CDL) and became full-fledged Private Fleet Walmart drivers.

The investments in pay and training build on multiple recent driver bonuses and improved schedules that enable drivers to spend more time at home. There’s never been a better time to join our fleet. Once drivers are on board, this is a job many leave only for retirement.

I imagine so, yeah.

How to fix a broken nation

Kevin Downey does a fairly comprehensive yet concise review of events over the last cpl-three years, from which a conclusion is drawn.

Real Americans have had it.

We watched as voters handed Virginia Democrats a pounding in last November’s elections. Long Island, solidly blue at one point, cleaned house and voted for Republicans in four out of four races on the same day Virginia cleaned house. Kenosha, Wisc., home to the riots over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a black guy who was retrieving a knife from his car after being stopped by cops for sexually assaulting an ex-girlfriend, voted red Tuesday in races from the county executive down to school board seats. Nearby Waukesha and Menomonee Falls followed suit. The writing is on the wall: go woke and real Americans will send you to your room.

The Daily Wire is in combat mode. Not only did they get into the razor business to compete against the wokesters at Harry’s, but they also have their sights set on Disney.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an anti-grooming law in Florida. Tennessee is looking to ban obscene materials for all school kids through 12th grade, and Georgia has passed several measures that help parents protect their kids.

Now is the time for conservatives to get LOUD. The battle against Marxism is ON, and it’s going very well for us. Now is the time to step on the gas, NOT the brakes. It’s time for all of us to go to a school board meeting, demand answers, and stop voting for RINOs like Mitt Romney.

That’s all fine and well if it makes you feel better, Kev, and more power to ya; can’t do any harm to try it while we all wait for the shooting to start, I suppose, except insofar as it could distract us from important activities like loading mags, zeroing rifles, and establishing interlocking fields of fire in the front yard. As far gone as we are along the road to ruin at this point, though, I’m afraid your well-intended suggestions will fall well short of being equal to the task before us.

I have to agree that Real Americans have had it. According to the available evidence, more and more of them are becoming more and more fed up with each new outrage, insult, or indecency. The pertinent question is whether enough of us are fed up enough to overcome our natural reluctance to do the fearsome, shattering things which, deep down, we all know will almost certainly have be done. The forecast, long term and short both, is for unpleasant and uncertain conditions, with a strong chance of calamity and ruin afterwards.

Don’t despair quite yet, though; Padraig Martin says there’s a better, easier, less destructive way to go about it.

I get it all the time – “Fight!,” “Hang the traitors!,” and “Real Patriots are ready to shoot!” I get complaints that I am some kind of wimp because I do not embrace a violent assault on the vile US Government. About 50% of those making such posts and comments are Feds. They are trying to ensnare you in a conspiracy trap. About 50% are legitimate, well intentioned individuals of varying levels of mental stability who believe fighting is the only way out of our current mess. Let me clear the record: whereas I do not believe things will fix themselves and a fight may eventually occur, no mater how successful your fight, you need a plan for the post-revolution you seek.

I am not only a student of insurgencies, having done my graduate thesis on how to build successful revolutions using the Iranian model, but I also spent almost 20 years working on the logistics of supporting insurgent operations. I know what is needed. My favorite aspect of insurgencies are the comms necessary to build and guide them. Revolutiomary Propaganda is crucial to support. Thanks to the US Government, I have worked in this field for decades. You – random sincere Gab Patriot – have done nothing for the revolt you seek.

There has NEVER been a successful revolution without a parallel system. Whether it was the United States of 1775, Ireland 1918, Iran 1978, or Romania 1992, you will never succeed without a “Shadow System.” Economically, Torba is right. You need to build a parallel economy. You need a parallel legal structure… parallel education system…parallel monetary structure…you need to develop systems necessary to replace the collapsed state after you win. If you offer no alternative, no one will join your fight. It will die at the Pale.

How do you achieve this? Build.

Read the rest of it, as you already knew I was going to say, then read this astute followup (“A great place to raise a child does not come cheap”—well put, Simon) from the comments section too. WRSA is understating the case by calling it “food for thought.”

Update! Sundance heartily seconds the notion that Real Americans have had it and are fed up, but then scampers waaaay on out into deep left field with it.

Folks, the need for control is a reaction to fear. The people in “fly over” country have joined with the coastal working class. People are furious right now, from the guy that guides hunters, to the truck drivers, hammer swingers, mayors of towns and cities, and even state senators, legislatures and newly awakened citizens who are demanding action against this leftist onslaught.

The political pendulum has never, in the history of humanity, stayed on one side of a swing. The back lash from overreach has always been proportionate to how far off center it went before coming back…and right now we’re staring at a whole hell of a lot of the country (about 80-90% of the land mass, as well as about 70% of the population) that is fed up. DC knows they are in a tenuous place, and they do not want that assembly deciding the only way to fix it is to burn it down and start over. They are doing everything in their power, and beyond, to control and avoid it.

Okay, where to begin.

  • The need for control is a reaction to fear: The need for control CAN BE, and sometimes IS, a reaction to fear. It can also be the product of greed; egotism; feelings of inadequacy or inferiority; or a sadistic craving to have others bow and scrape before them
  • The people in “fly over” country have joined with the coastal working class: Oh, they have? Based on what, exactly? Certainly, none of them has contacted me to inquire about any “joining.” Heck, how sure are we that there even IS a “coastal working class” anymore?
  • …mayors of towns and cities, and even state senators, legislatures: Except the numerous ones who are fully on board with the Uniparty program, if not actively helping to implement the Agenda

I’m more or less okay with the pendulum/backswing analysis, hoary old cliche that it is, and won’t raise a quibble with the “80-90% of the land mass” proposition either. But…”70% of the population”? Dude, SRSLY?!? Even Limbaugh didn’t go that far with his oft-repeated rose-colored mantra that the US is “a conservative-majority nation”—a contention that, as time went on and the country’s death spiral into Leftism deepened and accelerated, required a more desperate and far-flung search for smaller and smaller nuggets of evidence to prop it up. I mean, c’mon: if 70% of us really were fed up with what, after all, is almost entirely the perfectly predictable end result of Democrat/Leftist policy and ideology, no Democrat elected official could safely open his front door to poke his head out for a brief look around without having to take to his heels and fly for his very life from the angry mob in hot pursuit of him.

70%?!? Hell, even the most vain and/or unrealistic Democrat office-seeker could only throw up his hands in abject hopelessness and withdraw under the burden of such a crushing weight of political opinion. If that number was anything like accurate, election theft and fraud would be a thing of the past, as dead as the dodo. Hell, the Democrat Party its own self would be eligible for federal protection as an endangered species, with the odds of it surviving for long being inversely proportional to said 70%.

Sure, it would be nice to think it was real, better yet if it WAS. Alas for us all, it ain’t. It just ain’t. There’s optimism, then there’s over-optimism, then self-deception, then balls-out delusion. Where Sundance might have come across that 70% blue-sky of his I haven’t the merest clue. Wherever it might have been, though, he really ought to take it back there and leave the damned thing.

Winning ways

The great Ron DeSantis stays on the offensive.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Wednesday that he would send the illegal immigrants dumped by Biden’s administration in Florida to Biden’s home state of Delaware.

Governor DeSantis vowed to transfer the illegal immigrants to sanctuary states like Delaware, saying they now have the funding for rerouting.

It can be recalled that DeSantis introduced a proposal last December to add $8 million to the state’s budget in order to send those illegals out of the Sunshine State and into Democrat areas such as Marthas Vineyard and Biden’s home state of Delaware.

“If businesses or contractors are dumping people who are illegal into Florida from Southern Texas, you know, we’re going to go after their ability to do business in Florida,” Gov. DeSantis said Wednesday after he signed the No Patient Left Alone Act into law in Naples, Florida.

“If Biden is dumping people, which he has dumped people, they fly them in at 2 in the morning. They haven’t done it lately, but they did it many months ago. We now have money where we can reroute them to sanctuary states like Delaware. And we’re going to do that, to make sure we’re keeping people safe here.” DeSantis asserted.

On the same day, Texas Governor Greg Abbott also announced he would begin to use up to 900 charter buses or “as many as needed” to send illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., as part of his strategy for the overwhelming influx of illegal immigrants.

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol, where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border,” Gov. Abbott continued.

Be sure to dump some of ’em onto the White House lawn, too, so’s ALL the architects of the forced repopulation of the US can fully enjoy the fruits of their efforts. More like this, please, just as fast as it can be done. Keep THEM on the ropes, their hands effectively tied as they wonder and worry where the next blow might be coming from. In the wise words of the Wizard of the Saddle: Get ’em skeered and keep the skeer on ’em.

Bye Bye Birdie Biden

Biden, bye bye.

Democrats Prepare Biden for Senocide
The end will be cold. Up the mountain, set adrift upon an ice flow, or shuttled away in silence, geronticide of The Big Man draws nigh. His days may count less than one hundred.

Prepare to say goodbye. His pack of hyenas have turned their backs.

Bye bye? Sorry, no. The self-serving, crooked scumbucket deserves a farewell nothing near as polite, especially not from the much put-upon American people he’s ridden like a rented mule for five decades. More like good riddance.

The Bidens hold no value for the party. The Bidens are white, and a liability.

As for “The Big Man,” the Japanese call it ubasute. To carry an old woman up a mountain and leave her to die.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer asshole; t’is a consummation devoutly to be wished, as far as I’m concerned. As Glenn said in the Coen brothers’ classic Raising Arizona, somebody oughta sell tickets.

Going national?

I do NOT see this as a good omen.

People are trying to “get the hell out” of blue “dumpster fire” states as Biden’s presidency plagues Americans with inflation and soaring gas prices, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said during a Thursday press conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where he announced another round of $1,000 bonuses for Florida first responders.

Americans, he said, are dealing with “huge, crushing” inflation that has not been seen in over four decades. Gas prices are skyrocketing and President Biden has refused to take responsibility for his bad policies, DeSantis said, noting that Biden is now using the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which he likened to a “bandaid.”

“He refuses to utilize energy resources in our own country,” he said, blasting Biden for seeking help from dictators to address our energy woes.

“We see the wages when ideology takes precedent over both national security and the pocketbooks of hardworking Floridians and Americans,” DeSantis said.

Despite all this, Biden refuses to go back to the days of  American energy independence. The Republican governor also explained how all of these high prices and Biden’s refusal to enact sound policy affects people at more places than just the gas pump, as things like construction materials cost more, particularly in the wake of demand.

“So that’s just the reality we’re dealing with,” he said, noting how many people are trying to flock to the Sunshine State for a taste of relief.

“People are trying to get the hell out of these dumpster fire states that have just done so poorly,” he added.

While I’m always happy to see DeSantis tearing Uncle Gropey or any other shitwit Leftard a new one, this apparent shift from matters mainly of concern to Floridians and more towards broader issues confronting all Americans may be no more than rhetorical. It could also be just DeSantis speaking straight from the heart, off-the-cuff truth-telling with no implication intended or implied regarding his political future. It’s hardly as if anything he said was incorrect or off-target, either.

But still. Hearing America’s Governor say anything at all that might reasonably be construed as a dipping of the DeSantis toe into the national political cesspool to test the fetid waters there rattles me some, and I don’t like it. Much as I do love the guy, a President DeSantis would be a disaster—both for him personally and for every Real American as well. All the evidence anyone needs for that is a quick look back at what they did to Trump. There is absolutely no reason to imagine they wouldn’t slice, dice, and fricassee DeSantis in the exact same fashion, if not even worse.

I go right on saying it, and it goes right on being true: We need Ron DeSantis right where he is, not frittering away his time and talent being torn to shreds by the voracious jackal-packs of Washington. He can do much more good for Real Americans from the governor’s office in FLA than anyplace else, if only by preserving his state as a bastion where Real Americans can take refuge for liberty’s last desperate stand.

Keep your eyes on what’s in front of you, Ron, and accomplish what is possible for you to accomplish; be proud of those accomplishments, and content with them. Run for reelection, crush the opposition, and continue serving as an inspiration and an example to us all. There’s nothing but frustration, futility, and heartache for you in Mordor On The Potomac. What’s broken there can no longer be fixed by any one man, if ever it could have been. That massive task will fall onto the shoulders of all Real Americans, requiring radical, heretofore unthinkable measures of them to get the thing done.

Really, the ongoing DC circle-jerk is damned nigh irrelevant now anyway, as is shown by the clownish antics of the aged and unfit “president” currently holding the job. He matters not a whit to anyone other than the curs there all circling warily, playing their Swamp games and sniffing each other’s butts. You, on the other hand, do matter, a great deal. Don’t let yourself be broken on the Washington rack.

Okay, Groomer

And just like that, a new catchphrase is born.

Leftists Are Angry About The Florida Anti-Grooming Law Because They Want Your Children
First, I think this needs to be said – Public school teachers are not important. I’m sure there are many good ones out there and this is not an attack on them. What I am saying is, the glorification and worship of teachers is out of place in our society and completely overblown. At some point along the line leftists in particular decided that teachers are the emissaries of moral order and equity and their jobs should be treated as sacrosanct. This is nonsense.

Teachers are mere employees of the district they work in, that is all. Parents pay the taxes that pay their salaries. The parents are the employers, the parents are the boss and what they say goes. Teachers need to understand this; the parents own you, so get used to the idea. You are not special.

Furthermore, the views expressed in the interview with the gay Florida teacher above showcase some unhinged misconceptions and assumptions. The new law does not say that a teacher is not allowed to mention they are gay, but frankly, NO teacher should be discussing their private lives with their students anyway. At no point in my childhood did I ever hear a teacher talk about their home lives or who they were sleeping with; this is a new trend within the past decade. Not long ago teachers specifically avoided such idiocy in order to prevent rumors from circulating through the school halls about them.

And yes, we did have at least one gay teacher, and he never discussed it in the classroom, ever. His job was not under threat for doing so, he was just a professional.

This kind of professionalism is not acceptable to leftists because they view the classroom as more than just a place of academia, they view it as a place for engineering conformity, as well as a personal therapy bubble for themselves. I can’t count how many videos I have seen in the past few years of teachers “coming out” to their students in a desperate play for attention and applause. The narcissism inherent in this behavior is stunning. Teachers have turned their classrooms into environmental extensions of their own mental deformities and insecurities and now lay these problems in the hands of students.

Shit, practically the whole of society has been subjected to the same transformation; especially in our major cities, America’s public spaces have been reduced to little more than open-air theaters—mere stages where egomaniacal, self-obssessed shitlibs can work out their mental health issues in front of a repulsed and disbelieving audience, coerced all unwilling into de facto participation in a demented passion play. Bizarre shitlib freakazoids unabashedly strut and fret their hour upon the stage, then are heard no more—idiots most insufferable, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Brandon’s closing passages proffer a crucial point, one I’ll wholeheartedly endorse via the judicious and tasteful use of boldface.

It is here that I think we need to address a bigger issue which SJWs often screech about, and that’s the idea of “Gatekeeping.” I’m going to say it right here and now: GATEKEEPING IS GOOD. It always has been and it always will be. The idea that we must be accepting of everyone all the time is foolish and insane. Some people are not compatible with truth or with reason, and they need to be kept away from vulnerable institutions such as schools and away from innocent children that make up the lifeblood of our future.

The conservative argument has always been that not all change is good, and not all change is progress. Some changes are regressive rather than progressive. Some changes are simply designed to do harm, and some people are simply evil. Discrimination in some respects is absolutely necessary in order for our core values and principles to survive. There are times when discrimination is necessary for our very nation and culture to survive.
Leftists always turn to the old standby argument when they are faced with the prospect that the culture at large does not want them around; they cry that “We live in a democracy” and inclusion is somehow a prerequisite. In other words, if you go against them you are going against your own values of freedom. This is nonsense.

We are not a democracy, of course, we are a democratic republic and there is a big difference, but that is a discussion for another article. According to the non-aggression principle, freedom does not apply to the people that are trying to destroy it. Leftists do not get to target freedom for destruction and then cry victim and proclaim their love of freedom when people get in their way. Gatekeeping is good because certain pillars of our society need to be kept inoculated against the destructive methods of the political left. These people do not belong here. They do not deserve freedom, and they do not deserve to live among people that actually love freedom.

Annnnnd bingo. Bingobingobingobingoeffing BING. GOH. I swear, Brandon and I both could just quit this whole blogging thing forever now. After that, there’s really nothing more left to be said.

The debate on anti-grooming is really a debate on the necessity of gatekeeping. Leftists support it when they think they are in control and they attack it when they think it’s going to be used against them. I can’t imagine any area of our culture more vital to protect than our children; and this is where gatekeeping must be employed with full force and without mercy. Florida is doing it right, let’s hope the rest of the country follows their example.

Let us hope for it, yes. But alas, let us not count on it, nor hold our breath anticipating it, nor lapse into despair when it doesn’t happen. Because it ain’t gonna. At the very least, NYC, SF, LA, and Chicago will carry on holding the Leftard/Manwoman/Commie line against all attack; there is absolutely no chance at all that those and all too many other mighty citadels of PC enstupidation (think Madison Wi; Austin Tx; Seattle; Portland, to name but a few) are going to suddenly abandon their mulish embrace of make-believe and sheer barking moonbattery in favor of a return to boring old reality in the foreseeable future.

UNEXPECTED!™ update! Gotta confess, I find this somewhat surprising.

Is there more, you ask? Why yes; yes, there is.

A follow-up question broached the topic of gender identity. When asked whether or not gender should be removed from birth certificates, only 8 percent of respondents said yes while a whopping 79 percent said no.

In addition, the survey asked the group whether or not they agreed with the statement “transgender athletes should only be allowed to play on sports teams that match their birth gender.” 60 percent of respondents agreed. Republicans were 85 percent positive on that question, whereas Democrats were split at a near-tie of 39 percent agree and 36 percent disagree.

Hrm. It seems as if sanity, like the flowers in springtime, might be busting out all over.

Hammerdown

DeSantis the Barbarian by-God don’t let up.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said on Tuesday that the Walt Disney Company “crossed the line” when it announced its intention to repeal the Parental Rights in Education bill, which DeSantis signed into law on Monday.

During a press conference in Tallahassee on Tuesday, DeSantis told reporters, “For Disney to come out and put a statement and say that the bill should have never passed and that they are going to actively work to repeal it, I think one was fundamentally dishonest, but two, I think that crossed the line.”

He added: “this state is governed by the interests of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives. They do not run this state. They do not control this state.”

To no one’s surprise, there’s much, much more of this wonderful stuff. For instink:

Just one day after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law the Parental Rights in Education bill, the Republican is now suing the federal government for its never-ending mask mandate for public transportation and airlines.

More than two years since Covid-19 reached our shores, the Biden administration is still ordering that Americans wear face coverings on planes and to commute. After the Trump administration opted not to require masks on public transport, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued an order in late January 2021, which prompted one from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in February 2021 shortly after Biden’s inauguration. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody says these federal agencies “never had the power to issue” these mandates.

TSA’s rule was supposed to expire in May of last year but was instead extended to September, then January of 2022, then March, and now April. DeSantis and a horde of other states are trying to change that by arguing that the federal mask mandate goes beyond the CDC’s authority and violates state laws that ban forced masking.

“It’s not something that’s grounded in any science,” DeSantis said during the press conference, showing that just like you don’t have to be a biologist to know what a woman is, you don’t have to be a virologist to understand basic sense. “If you have somebody sitting in the window seat and they’re nibbling on peanuts for two and a half hours, they can have their mask down. You have the person in the middle seat that is not eating, and if they just want to read a magazine without their mask, then somehow that would be a big problem.”

“Florida has led the nation in standing up to misguided federal government policies and fighting back against heavy-handed mandates that have no scientific backing,” DeSantis said. “If politicians and celebrities can attend the Super Bowl unmasked, every U.S. citizen should have the right to fly unmasked. It is well past time to get rid of this unnecessary mandate and get back to normal life.”

Yet more enheartening quotes from Ron the Great at the link. Circling back around to the infamous and inhumane “Let’s Lynch All Teh Gheys!!!” bill—as Leftards have labelled it in their usual calm, rational, not at all overly dramatized manner—our enemies have slipped up and given the game away.

Teachers Who Insist They’re Not Teaching Your Kid About Sex Also Weirdly Outraged By Ban On Teaching Your Kid About Sex
ORLANDO, FL—On July 1st, teachers throughout Florida will no longer be permitted to encourage discussions about sex with children in grades kindergarten through grade 3. Florida teachers have been adamant that they’ve never encouraged such discussions in their classrooms but they are weirdly outraged that they will no longer be able to.

“I have never once told a boy they are really a girl, or a girl they are really nothing, or a man that they should be comfortable loving children. Not once. BUT IT’S OUTRAGEOUS THAT I CAN’T,” said Ms. Feilershiek, a kindergarten teacher at Chickasaw Elementary, while picketing in front of her school instead of teaching children.

One third-grade teacher, Mx. Pat Frumouge (ze/zir), had begun teaching zeir students about LGBTQ culture full-time ahead of the July 1st deadline.

“Look, I don’t groom any kids. But I have to constantly explain why I look like a porcelain fish-being,” ze said, visibly shaken. “This law is going to erase me as an individual. My sexual identity and favorite kinks are my entire identity…if I can’t share that with children—which I don’t—then I don’t know what I’m going to do. Teach math?”

Children at Chickasaw Elementary School are reportedly failing at math and science but excelling at peer-pressuring other children to switch genders at will. Teachers insist the kids are doing that on their own, however.

According to sources, teachers are preparing for the next year by abandoning all subjects entirely in favor of full-time LGBTQ lectures to make up for the fact they won’t be able to indoctrinate children next year—even though they don’t do that.

And again, we have to ask ourselves: is it satire, or is it for real? It just gets harder and harder to tell. Pity the folks at the Bee; they have the toughest jobs in the world. Trying to find a way to effectively exaggerate the Left’s positions and statements—already so extreme they observably warp and distort actual physical reality—for purposes of satire must exhaust a body to the very edge of total collapse. Meanwhile, another whackadoo shitlib demonstrates why the loony Left can never really be defeated.

The angry teachers of TikTok are rolling in after Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education law (also known as “Don’t Say Gay,” because politics demands that every bill signed by a Republican must be demonized). The word “gay” is not in the bill. The bill actually protects children in pre-K through third grade from being assaulted with discuccion of sex and gender issues that they are not ready to handle. For some reason, people on the left are having meltdowns because they can’t talk about their personal sex lives with little children and, in a bizarre trend, they’re making videos about it…

Libs of Tik Tok on Twitter is at the forefront of exposing all the teachers who are carrying on like stuck pigs because they can’t indoctrinate children anymore (at least in Florida). Not only did the bill outlaw discussions of sex and gender with students from pre-K to third grade, but it also outlawed hiding information from K-12 parents about their children’s gender identity or any other information that would be important for them to know. There is a disturbing trend of public schools actively keeping secrets from parents that has led to suicide attempts and harm to children. In Florida, that’s no longer allowed.

But at least one teacher, Amber Mercier who works at The Academy, says she’ll keep lying to parents about their kids, and she’s willing to lose her job over it.

Mercier is gay, and she believes keeping secrets about sexuality from her students’ families — if the student wants her to — is worth losing her job over. “I just want to go ahead and state that I would rather lose my job than out one of my students to their families. Being a safe person and a safe place for kids who don’t have that at home is one of the best parts of being a teacher, so, yeah, I’m not doing it. Fire me, sue me, take me to jail — I’m not doing it.”

Okey doke, fine by me then.

As if the previous nutjob and her oath to lose her job weren’t radical enough, though, there’s also this clearly sane, perfectly normal adult.

Only one correct response to that proposition, I believe.

See what I mean about it being impossible to defeat them, though? For Leftards, EVERY hill is a hill worth dying on. Plus, they DO NOT moderate, they DO NOT yield, they DO NOT bargain in good faith. For these relentless zealots, every setback is only temporary, their eyes always locked on the ultimate goal. They’re a lot like cyborgs in that. You can’t defeat them; you can only either shut them down or destroy them. Listen, and understand.

Can’t get enough of that DeSantis stuff

I missed this oldie but goodie its first time around, but it’s still solid gold.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In an exclusive interview with The Federalist, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis challenged the right to take a proactive stance on cultural issues, not just a defensive one.

“Do you want to be the Harlem Globetrotters or do you want to be the Washington Generals? D.C. Republicans, a lot of them are my friends, but they’re like lovable losers,” he said. “They let the corporate media define the narrative and it’s like trying to fight your way out of a wet paper bag. You have to reject these narratives.”

Recognizing Americans who “aren’t captive to the Acela corridor or the far left coast,” DeSantis noted a hunger for strong and active conservative leadership. “If all you’re doing is, the Democrats propose $2 trillion in infrastructure [legislation], so we say we’ll do $1.5 trillion, that’s not going to animate anybody,” he said. “That’s just Me Too Republicanism and ultimately that’s not going to be successful.”

While so many Americans feel they’re on the defensive against an onslaught of cultural threats to their faith, families, and patriotism, DeSantis encouraged them to fight back. “The goal is not to just lose ground more slowly,” he said. “The goal is to regain ground in an offensive direction.”

“This last year was a fundamental test [for the Republican Party] about leading against lockdowns and leading to get kids in school and leading to make sure people weren’t under the yoke of oppressive regulations,” said the governor, noting his lawsuit against the federal Center for Disease Control over its attempt to force the cruise industry to require vaccine passports from passengers. “We are going to pry open every portion of this country one way or another.”

Plenty more where that came from, folks. Don’t miss a single scrumptious word, you’re gonna love it.

America’s Gov does it again

We cannot spare this man. He fights.

And, y’know, wins.

DeSantis Blasts Hollywood ‘Degenerates’ Before Signing Parental Rights Bill
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education bill into law Monday, marking another victory for parents in the Sunshine State.

“Parents’ rights have been increasingly under assault around the nation, but in Florida we stand up for the rights of parents and the fundamental role they play in the education of their children,” DeSantis released in a statement. “Parents have every right to be informed about services offered to their child at school, and should be protected from schools using classroom instruction to sexualize their kids as young as 5 years old.”

There, Vichy GOPers, was that really so hard to say? Yeah, I know, I know, for you it ain’t the saying; it’s the making it stick part that presents so much difficulty for ya.

The legislation specifically prohibits sexual education instruction for children eight years old and younger, a concept the majority of Americans support.

During remarks ahead of the signing, DeSantis blasted Hollywood elites for repeatedly lying about the bill and claiming it is discriminatory.

“If the same Hollywood elites who upheld degenerates like Harvey Weinstein now oppose our efforts to protect parental rights, I wear that like a badge of honor,” DeSantis said.

GOD, how I love this man. More rich, buttery goodness on this most frabjous of days.

As Twitchy reported earlier, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law the Parental Rights in Education Bill, also known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, and already Disney has issued a statement saying it remains committed to repealing the law. One thing that got lost in all of the “Don’t Say Gay” hysteria is that this bill was about more than just keeping instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity out of kindergarten classrooms; as the bill’s real name implies, it enumerates the rights of parents when it comes to the education of their children.

For example, the law prohibits school district personnel from “discouraging or prohibiting parental notification and involvement in critical decisions affecting a student’s mental, emotional, or physical well-being.” We did a post on one school that had a “transition closet,” so that children could come to school in the clothes their parents “made” them wear and then change into clothes that “reflect their true gender identity … like the superheroes they are.”

In signing the bill Monday, DeSantis posted a video of a mother of a 13-year-old describing how school officials had drawn up a “transition plan” for her child without her notification or input.

Now for a small sampling of Tweets that will positively curl your toes with near-orgasmic bliss.

Know what the best thing about DeSantis is? With him, you can be sure he really, truly means it; unlike every other goddamned all hat, no cattle GOPe Swamp critter currently extant, DeSantis WON’T back down, not even a tiny bit, no matter how crushing the deluge of rankest shit the Left hurls at him. To appropriate Martin Luther: Here he will stand, he can do no other. May God bless and protect this man, and all who sail in him.

Update! A treatise on DeSantis’s motivating principle: interposition.

A recent University of North Florida poll of registered Florida voters found giant margins for DeSantis over either of his Democrat competitors. He leads former governor and party flip-flopper Charlie Crist by 19 points and Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried by 21 points. Those numbers will close by November, of course. But the poll was of registered voters, who don’t typically poll well for Republicans. And DeSantis has nearly $100 million for re-election while his contenders each have a few million and a primary yet.

How is this stunning success in popularity among ordinary voters possible when every conceivable media, social media, and cultural mover has vilified DeSantis for three years?

In a word: Interposition.

This is the idea that a state in a federation such as the United States has a right and the authority to interpose itself between an overbearing federal government and that state. The Constitution is riddled with its implications in the separation of powers between the federal government and state governments. The Federalist Papers discuss it. It was an essential element of states rights federalism and invoked prior to the Civil War. That terrible conflagration became inevitable to rid the nation of the moral scourge of slavery, but the price was a rolling forth of power consolidating in Washington, D.C. at the cost of the states.

However, it’s not like interposition was ever outlawed. States could still practice it, but that requires spinal fortitude. And now more than ever.

Never using the term “interposition” publicly, DeSantis nevertheless practiced this essential concept repeatedly during COVID. He stood between a federal shutdown and shutting down Florida. Even the three-week Florida “shutdown” was minimal as the list of who could remain open, including churches, was very long. He blocked the federal government from mandating vaccines in Florida, even keeping corporations from acting as fronts to enforce the mandates. When the federal government curtailed Florida’s access to monoclonal antibodies for what appeared to be petty personal reasons, DeSantis bypassed the federal stock and bought monoclonals on the open market.

Even in the latest kerfuffle over the Parental Rights in Education bill there is a form of interposition by the Republican legislature and DeSantis because the U.S. Department of Education holds so much (extra-constitutional) leverage over school districts, and they have created a state legal bulwark against federal infringement.

Most recently, DeSantis challenged his own party leadership in the legislature over long-time gerrymandered congressional boundaries to provide a black district in North Florida. Legislative Republicans kept the district similar to what it had been, which also had the side-benefit of clumping a lot of Democrats into one district. DeSantis believes drawing districts based on race is openly unconstitutional. This is the sort of principled stand that wrong-foots so many in the political world, but is often appreciated by voters. More Republicans should understand this.

Naturally, the media lost its mind at every one of these actions, but the policies were relatively popular among Floridians. The fact that they have proven to be right in hindsight by the data is awesome for Floridians, but not the first point. The first point is that a state governor had the cajones to place himself and the authority of his state government between the federal government and the people of his state.

That reference to DeSantis’s oversized cojones above gives me the perfect excuse for this. Not that I needed one, of course.

What the hell, you can never have too much of the Greatest Pure Rock Band Of All Time, amIright?

Excellent sound quality for a live recording, I must say.

Keep talking, bitch. You just keep right on talking.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Says Nothing Will Deter Biden Administration from Eliminating Fossil Fuels
s more people become aware of the Build Back Better agenda, or as some would say “The Great Reset,” and its direct connection to the dreams and aspirations of the climate change ideologues in the elitist class, it is worth paying attention when Yellen says nothing will deter the Biden administration from eliminating fossil fuels; and it is her role to make that objective financially possible.

Yellen emphasizes the Biden administration position about how the conflict in Ukraine and the sanctions against Russia are an example of why the global energy resources need to fundamentally change to renewable resources.  Her strength of advocacy, in alignment with the Davos/WEF position, is yet another data-point to highlight the predictable cleaving of the world economies into two distinctly differing groups of nations.

It doesn’t matter how economically painful it is to chase these energy policies, the elitists who operate western government are all-in on the same program.  The same western governments who used totalitarian emergency powers to destroy liberty and freedom under the guise of COVID-19 mitigation, are the same western governments now aligned to use the crisis in Ukraine to advance their energy ideology.

They’re almost there, actually, with sky-high gas prices inflicting slow-motion financial ruin on working-class American families—very soon now, on tens of millions of Americans. If our tormentors are not stopped, we’ll soon see entire industries wiped out by the Biden catastrophe. Next body-blow coming at us is a nascent food crisis: severe shortages; exorbitant prices for the little food available; irrepairable supply-chain snags and snarl-ups which will make things much, much worse, all culminating in something never seen in the US before: widespread hunger, famine, malnutrition and even death by starvation.

Although it’s no longer possible to avert this runaway man-caused disaster, it may not be too late to prevent it from getting even worse than it’s going to be. That, however, is going to mean rounds sent downrange in the direction of the criminals who caused this, from great distances off, followed by a rapid exfil when today’s target has been successfully neutralized. It’s going to mean laying low so as to evade capture until it’s time to begin planning, intel-gathering, and gearing up for the next mission. It’s going to mean a solid support network in your AO, noncombatants willing and able to provide you and your team with materiel, provisions, intel, maybe a secure hide for emergency E&E purposes should the need arise. It’s going to mean adapting yourself to a totally new way of thinking, of moving, of how you relate to others—a new way of life, in fact.

When and where Liberty’s Legion decides to go active and begin servicing targets will be for them to decide. Those of us who aren’t capable of functioning effectively as shooters will need to stand ready to fill other roles, of which there will be no shortage: medical, logistics, loading mags, staff, making coffee, etc etc. Anything we can do, we must do—ALL of the liberty-minded, no exceptions. Our freedom, our Constitution, and our way of life will require every last Real American to step up and do his part if our precious heritage is to be reclaimed. There will never be enough of us; I think it’s abundantly clear by now that we’re outnumbered, and badly. Contra Rush Limbaugh’s oft-stated contention, this is NOT a “majority conservative” nation anymore. I don’t think it’s been one since the mid-1960s.

But our minority status doesn’t mean we have no hope of defeating them. The Yellens, the Obamas, the Pelosis, the Comeys and Soroses, the whole filthy vermins’ nest of them—they can NOT be allowed to prevail. We know their intentions for us, and we know their Grand Plan means only suffering, deprivation, and injustice for us. They must be resisted; they must be fought; they must be eliminated, if that’s what it takes to lift their iron-shod jackboots from off our necks for good. All their works, their towers and edifices, their strongholds—ALL must be cast down to the earth alongside those who built them. We can afford no flinching, no quarter, no mercy. Our hearts must be hardened, our eyes wide open, our hand swift, sure, and steel-strong. They have a dark, cruel future planned for us. We must destroy them utterly, lest that future become cold, hard reality for us. We can beat them, outnumbered or not. We just have to go the right way about it, the smart way. We have to be firm as a bar of billet steel in our resolve; we have to be patient, we have to use every advantage, every edge, every tool available to us.

So yeah, Janet, you just bring it on. You and yours go ahead and do your damnedest to “eliminate” fossil fuels. Old-school greasemonkeys like myself and untold millions like me might have a little surprise waiting for you, concerning who and what might wind up “eliminated.” You want to come confiscate MY ICE lead sled from me and force me into one of your gay-ass little Shamebuggies, you better bring help.

Real Americans desperately need to face up squarely to the harsh realities of our situation, which is indeed a desperate one. First and foremost among those realities: We cannot vote our way around these people. They will never give up or give in. Whatever we offer them in exchange for just leaving us alone, they will take the offer now, then come back for another bite later. We know from long, bitter years of experience, that no bargain or agreement with them is worth a fart in a whirlwind. Knowing this, we simply cannot fail to do our duty, both to ourselves and our future generations. I am deadly, deadly serious about what I’m saying, people. We play now for the highest imaginable stakes. This one’s for all the marbles—winner take all, no prizes for second place.

Be it hereby resolved: no more lethargy, no more dissembling, no more evasion. This is war we’ve been dragged kicking and screaming into—real war, not figurative or rhetorical or pretend. REAL war, the kind with lots of blood and death and horror and mutilation in it. Kill them all, then, God will surely know his own. Kill them, and keep on killing them, until the survivors have grown so sick of killing they just wrefuse to do any more of it. Or, in the wise words of the great Curtis LeMay: You’ve got to kill people, and when you’ve killed enough they stop fighting.

If he pulls a knife, you pull a gun

It needs but one foe to breed a war, not two, Master Warden, and those who have not swords can still die upon them.

Imagine if, following the disputed 2016 presidential election, the recently sworn-in President Donald Trump had sicced his Justice Department, hand-in-hand with allies in Congress and state governments throughout the country, after his Democratic political opponents who maintained that his election was the work of Russian interference.

Although the claim that Trump was a Russian asset was laughably false, and the subsequent investigation into those spurious claims damaged the federal government’s credibility in immense and perhaps irreparable ways domestically and internationally, applying criminal penalties to the promulgation of that theory would have been wrong, anti-American, and contrary to the First Amendment. In keeping with his stalwart defense of American values, President Trump made no directive to the Justice Department to pursue criminal charges against these Democrats.

Similarly, his Republican predecessor allowed Democrats to freely “challenge an election”: Democrats had previously contested the 2000 election by claiming that George W. Bush was “selected, not elected” as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Bush v. Gore. A smaller minority contested Bush’s reelection in 2004, alleging irregularities in Ohio and elsewhere.

Reasonable concerns deserve a good-faith examination, not prosecution and persecution. But that is not what the sitting regime has offered when examining the 2020 election and its aftermath. Joe Biden’s goal (and that of his underlings) is to harass and silence politicians, journalists, dissidents, and political donors. Unfortunately, these tactics are working.

Pace the more delicate and effete among us, fluttering their hands in front of their faces, lapsing into a swooning collapse at the hideous gaucheness of the very idea, that should NOT to come as any big surprise. Why wouldn’t these bare-knuckle, objectionable, and bruising tactics be working, prithee tell? Fighting dirty usually does, especially when the dirty fighter sallies forth with ironclad confidence that his dainty opponent is far too self-righteous and smarmy to stoop to hurling everything he’s got, no holds barred, at his enemy. The dirty fighter knows his opponent never fights to win; he “fights” only to preen and strut, his superior morality on display for all to be awed by. When shitlibs do this, our soft-Right Fauntleroys sneer at it as “virtue signaling,” and recoil in disgust from it. But it’s a distinction without a difference, really. Now we come to the juicy part.

Despite the media’s insistence that the 2020 election was anything but corrupt, the voting systems in every jurisdiction of the United States are designed to render them incapable of being thoroughly reviewed by any independent third party. The system cannot be audited and requires putting blind faith in “experts” who build and run these systems.

Time and continuing analysis of circumstantial evidence have proven initial concerns and suspicions on the election results to be correct. An upcoming documentary, “2000 Mules,” produced by Dinesh D’Souza and Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote, presents concrete evidence of a coordinated nationwide campaign whereby ballot harvesters were paid to deliver ballots without any identification to drop-boxes funded by billionaires who run corporations staffed with left-wing ideologues. Mail-in ballot rules were ignored and disregarded under the pretense of COVID-19, which opened the 2020 election to an enormous amount of potential fraud.

Plenty bad enough, certainly. Yet even these, as well as the numerous other examples listed here are but a small part of the story. Bayou Peter hips us to an even more egregious example, and there’s more dirt out there to be dug.

The same lying media and their leftist ideologue elites who brought you the Russia collusion hoax and the Ukraine phone call hoax, who have been wrong about everything for at least two generations, now want to demonize the majority of independents and Republican voters as potential terrorists because they believe for good reason that there was systemic voter fraud in the 2020 election. Reasonable concerns and documented witnesses deserve a good-faith investigation and examination, not politically motivated prosecution and persecution. What we have experienced since 2020 is perhaps the most diabolical cover-up in American political history.

While the “Trump Won” movement undoubtedly has been overzealous and—in its patriotic exuberance—perhaps has run with information that has been less than credible at times,

Give me three examples, please. Hell, I’ll settle for two.

history will nevertheless remember them fondly. They were the individuals brave enough to stand up against the odds, defy the ubiquitous information warfare propaganda, and withstand ostracism from friends and family for refusing to let the truth be memory-holed.

Even though the 2020 presidential election was taken from the people, the stars are aligning for American patriots to avenge what happened in the midterm elections this year and then again in 2024.

Uh huh. Because, even though The Great Election Swindle of 2020 was a smashing success, why, those gosh darn Democrats wouldn’t DARE try any such thing again! They know we’d all rise up in righteous rage and…and…and think about maybe writing a strongly-worded letter of protest to our local liberal newspaper or something!! THAT’LL show those dirty dogs!!!

All that pointless foofaraw aside, I do enjoy seeing Trump staying all up in their face the way he has. His recent lawsuit is almost certainly doomed, but I just love that he’s filed it, and I hope he keeps it up. Of all the supposed “leaders” on the Right who say they’re sick and tired of being force-fed the Libtard shit sandwich and are good and ready to BY GOD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT—right before folding like a cheap accordion the first time some rubber-room refugee in a dress publicly shouts “Transphobe! Hater! RACIST” at him—Trump’s the only guy I see out there who refuses to curl up into the usual defensive crouch, preferring instead to stay constantly on the offensive. As Grant said: he didn’t want his officers thinking about what Lee might do to them; he wanted them to concentrate exclusively on what they were going to do to Lee.

When all you’re doing is reacting to your enemy, you’re locking yourself into a position from which victory is impossible. Every military strategist knows that you have to make your adversary react to you. Trump appears to know that too; for the last five-six years, he’s put on the only political show worth watching. Trump is the only shit-talking, glove-throwing, naturally-obstreperous pug we have going for us, and you can’t help but love him for that.

Anger ain’t enough

Biden prattles inanely on “democracies at an inflection” point, ignoring the beam in his own eye. Sundance ain’t having any of it.

I know Emmanuel Macron, Boris Johnson, Jacinda Ardern, Scott Morrison, Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden himself, would like to think that we do not remember the past two years of complete unilateral dictatorship they enjoyed while hiding behind the shield of “emergency authorizations,” but this is one website that will continue to document – for the historical record – the brutal reality of these pontificating liars.

Do they really think we have forgotten how they never once asked the representative government for authorization before triggering their unilateral fiats? The economic lockdowns, the loss of liberty, the collapse of freedom, the shutting down of any form of petition for grievance, the use and weaponization of the regulatory system, the manipulation of courts, the unilateral mask and vaccination mandates, the demands for compliance to some of the most ridiculous rules and regulations, and yes, even the lies and double-standards they applied to the masses while they themselves ignored the rules they forced upon everyone else…Do they really thing we have forgotten this?

There’s a lot of white-hot anger amid the citizenry of those aforementioned nations, righteous anger – yet these government creatures of entitlement stand on a soapbox today and decry autocracy and/or oligarchs.

Seriously?

The sad, sorry fact is they don’t care whether we’ve forgotten or not. We laid down for them and let them have their way with us with very little resistance, a passivity that made them bold.

Few things raise the anger of people to a level where foul language is the better option than the physical violence that might surface without it, but this level of hypocrisy and pretense is surely one of them.

To all the leaders of various “western democracies” who will now clutch their pearls as the backlash from the brutalized citizens starts to come full circle, you did this to yourself.

No one is to blame other than Biden, Trudeau, Ardern, Morrison, Macron, Johnson et al and the leaders of NATO who now suddenly need the support of the citizens they abused in order to fend off their new enemy, Vladimir Putin.

Western government leaders intentionally and willfully positioned themselves as the enemy of freedom. They do not now get to grab back the torch of liberty and wield it as a talking point weapon against totalitarianism.

And yet…that is exactly what they’re doing. They’ll keep right on doing it, too, unless and until they get themselves badly burned by having a righteous, searing blast of that “white-hot anger” turned on ’em. Anger is a fine and useful thing; talk, likewise, is a fine and useful thing. But at some point, anger loses its power; talk curdles into mere bluster, more impediment than inspiration. The Enemy has been more than sufficiently apprised of our displeasure. His response has been to double down, to tighten the screws further still. Thus, we find the hour of decision upon us: Will we, or won’t we? A nation entire holds its collective breath, awaiting the fateful answer.

You got questions, they got answers

A followup post on Redo Voting addressing a whole slew of questions and concerns about it—including some that were raised here. I like the very first one the best myself, devotedly sarcastic old contrarian that I am.

I recently published an article about Redo Voting, a transparent, unhackable way to vote, or shall I say, a way for legal voters to cast a ballot. It is a Democrats’ nightmare and everyone in Washington, D.C. is talking about it.

Our loyal PJ Media readers have overloaded us with comments, critiques, and questions regarding Redo Voting. The dedicated Americans at Redo Voting have taken the time to address the concerns in your comments. Here are the answers to some of your verbatim questions. Here is my personal favorite:

Q. They’ll find some excuse to call it racist.

A. Probably, but it won’t be a valid excuse.

Great answer! I love the crew at Redo Voting!

It’s longer than the usual PJM post, but in light of the goodly number of comments on my first one I figgered y’all might find this interesting.

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
Frank Zappa

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant in case of necessity can no more be doubted than to hang a robber, or kill a flea.”

Bertrand de Jouvenel

"It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged."
GK Chesterton

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
