Jagger to Springstein: shut up and “sing!”

Love him or hate him, he’s right, and you damned well know he is.

Mick Jagger Just Said What Millions of Concertgoers Have Been Thinking
Mick Jagger has spent over 60 years commanding stages, reading crowds, and understanding why people leave home to hear live music.

His conclusion isn’t complicated: Fans came to escape their problems, enjoy the music, and have fund.

They didn’t buy tickets to hear lectures.

Asked about Bruce Springsteen’s habit of attacking President Donald Trump from the stage, Jagger said performers shouldn’t preach to their audience. A Rolling Stones concert should let people forget their mortgages, work pressure, and daily troubles for a few hours.

While I do certainly get the concept of artistic expression’s potential for changing minds, provoking thought, and, ultimately, moving mountains, I also have no patience whatever with entertainers possessed of a certain ideological bent indulging the presumptuous assumption that I’ll ever be willing to sit still for a political lecture from them during a rock and roll show. Sorry, O Great Gazoo, but…NO.

Jagger’s point is sharp because he doesn’t demand political silence from musicians. Songs have carried social and political messages for generations.

He draws the line at turning a paid performance into a speech delivered to people who can’t respond without abandoning seats that may have cost hundreds of dollars.

Springsteen repeatedly crossed that line during his Land of Hope and Dreams tour. He called Trump “reckless, racist, incompetent, and treasonous” and accused his administration of destroying the American idea.

And the beat goes on:

Fans who arrived expecting “Born to Run” also received several minutes of Bruce Springsteen’s keen political analysis.

After all, for the previous many decades, Springsteen has lived among the unwashed, uneducated, and unwitting yocals, listening to us everyday Americans struggle through life.

Pfft!

Of course, he has every right to hold those (überliberal) beliefs and express them. Fans also have every right to wonder why they paid premium prices to hear opinions available free on television, podcasts, and social media.

Some 2026 Springsteen tickets started near $200 for New York shows. Other markets saw resale prices climb far higher, depending on the date and seat. At those prices, promoters might consider adding a warning besides “limited view” and “service fees”; tickets include political commentary whether requested or not.

Of course, it must also be mentioned that any Springstein-licker willing to pony up for said exorbitantly-priced tickets not only well knows beforehand that lectures, Leftard hectoring, and Wokester sermonizing all come along with the price of admission, but also most likely approve wholeheartedly of the opinions they’ll hear their third-rate idol express between BROOOOOOCE! groaning out the tuneless medley of hit “songs.” Such low-IQ refugees from a Pavlov behavioral-science experiment are far more likely to be singing along with every grunt, belch, and incoherent mumble—clenched fists waving and tears streaming down their stubbly cheeks—than to be annoyed and insulted by all the t’ween-songs speechifying.

Personally, I’d rather go to Dearbornistan and sit, shackled and chained to my chair, through a three-hour recording of the Mooselimb call to prayer at high volume than be subjected to “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” yet another gott-damned time. But hey, that’s probably just me, right?

Q: Can the no-referee, no holds barred Death Match inside the traditional padlocked 30-foot cage featuring the Mickster and the aging, addled ex-Boss be very long in coming? Will said match be viewable gratis on a regularly-scheduled WWE broadcast, or will it be a PPV exclusive? Enquiring minds want to know, McMahon.

Dunderhead opens yap, DeSantis slaps it shut

Not at all surprising that America’s Governor would have a Silent Cal quote ready to hand with which he could fire back at MomCommie’s intentionally-insulting 4th of July remarks.

Show more defiance:

…that we may therefore very well discard their conclusions for something more modern. But that reasoning can not be applied to this great charter. If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people. Those who wish to proceed in that direction can not lay claim to progress. They are reactionary. Their ideas are not more modern, but more ancient, than those of the Revolutionary fathers.”/p>

I still maintain that Calvin Coolidge was the greatest US President since Jefferson, possibly the GOAT. Likewise, Ron the Great is perhaps the best Governor of them all, ever; it’s a measure of how very far we’ve fallen that I can’t think of a single Gov to compare to him right offhand, much less rival him. I think it safe to say that his reverence for Coolidge parallels my own, and for the same excellent reasons.

Proud Boys honcho brings enheartening news from the Emerald Isle.

Preview: Proud Boys Leader Enrique Tarrio Exclusive Interviews from Northern Ireland with a Warning to the West- ‘Belfast: A New Menace Rising’
In exclusive footage and raw interviews from the streets of Belfast and Ballymena, Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio captures a story the mainstream media won’t touch: native Irish communities — once divided

The mini-documentary, ‘Belfast: A New Menace Rising,’ lets the people on the ground tell the story.

At its heart are four powerful voices: Richard Inman, a veteran activist who has worked with Tommy Robinson, and a former UKIP/Advance UK figure, delivers a boots-on-the-ground account of escalating tensions.

Sarah White, a prominent female voice in patriotic circles, offers an on-the-streets perspective from recent protests.

Clifford Peeples, a battle-hardened loyalist pastor with deep Ulster roots, connects Troubles-era history to today’s shared defense of their homeland.

Dean, founder of the Concerned Parents group, represents the everyday working-class resident fighting for family safety and community stability.

The film examines the June 2026 stabbing incident in Belfast that sparked widespread unrest, contrasting it with the protection of a long-integrated Sudanese family to argue the issue centers on failed assimilation and integration — not race.

Old enemies (Catholic and Protestant) are shown setting aside historic grievances to confront what they see as a common threat to their culture, safety, and way of life.
by the Troubles — uniting against a new wave of violence tied to mass migration.

“What THEY SEE as” etc? Not hardly, laddie-buck; what UNQUESTIONABLY IS a common etc.

The threat is real, the menace ongoing, the enemy stronger than he’s ever been across a millennia and a half, quite literally. Time to wake the fuck up, man the fuck up, and take care of some long-neglected business, then, all across the West entire.

They oughta get a medal

How the 4th is DONE.

Enter the best SecWar the USA has ever had.

One more time: good on ya, Secretary Hegseth, sir. This SC Congresscritter has the right of it:

Rep. Russell Fry (R-SC) responded to the suspensions by demanding that the eight helicopter pilots’ flying privileges be restored immediately.

“The [South Carolina National Guard] needs to drop this review and restore these pilots immediately,” Fry wrote on X. “Millions of Americans applauded the incredible display during Salute to the Shore flyover while expressing complete admiration for them & appreciation for our country and military.

“These pilots should be celebrated, not sanctioned.”

In a separate post, Fry announced that he has written to Guard, formally urging the outfit “to drop this meaningless, bogus investigation and swiftly allow these pilots to return to their flight status as soon as possible.”

Hells muhfuggin’ YEAH!!!

Shame, disgrace, dishonor redux

Margolis closes this one out by saying he’s damned glad he no longer works there, and it’s not hard to see why he’d feel that way.

Buffalo, N.Y., has been named an All-America City twice, in 1996 and 2002, an honor the National Civic League hands out for civic engagement and community collaboration. Apparently, that engagement has limits, because the city now wants you to believe it couldn’t scrounge up a single spot in the entire city to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. City officials announced they were scrapping this year’s Fourth of July fireworks show, and the excuse they gave should make every resident furious.

According to Mayor Sean Ryan’s press office, “an appropriate site could not be identified that would provide a safe and widely accessible viewing experience for residents.” That’s the official story. A city of nearly 280,000 people, sitting right on the shore of Lake Erie, supposedly ran out of real estate.

That’s bull crap, plain and simple.

Buffalo just spent years and serious money redeveloping its waterfront into one of the most talked-about public spaces in western New York, and the city has held fireworks shows there before. Over the years, Buffalo has sponsored Independence Day fireworks at Niagara Square, Delaware Park, LaSalle Park, and Riverside Park: four different sites, decades of practice, zero problems. Then, in 2026, on the country’s 250th anniversary, suddenly nobody could find a spot.

Sure.

Mayor Ryan claims plans to hold the fireworks were on track until some 11th-hour complication scuttled them. He never said what that complication actually was.

Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.) put it better than I could. “Buffalo’s leaders claimed they ‘couldn’t find a site’ to celebrate America’s 250th birthday with fireworks. Yet they somehow had no trouble finding the time and space to raise a Somali flag. That wasn’t a logistical challenge. It was a choice.”

He added, “At a moment when our nation should be celebrating 250 years of freedom, those in charge sent a clear message about what they value, and it wasn’t America. The people of Buffalo deserve leaders who are proud to celebrate this country, not ones who treat patriotism as an afterthought. Elections have consequences, and so do the priorities of those we elect.”

Adding insult to injury, one day after announcing the fireworks were dead, the city let the nonprofit Heal International raise the Somali flag over City Hall at Niagara Square for the fourth year running, with local elected officials promoting the event.

Happily, certain atypically patriotic denizens of the New Sharia state of Buffalostan saw to it that this overly obnoxious, totally gratuitous insult didn’t end well for Caliphate authorities, and good on ’em for it:

The backlash against the city of Buffalo was swift. Overnight, vandals sliced the cable, pried open the flagpole’s access panel, and made off with the Somali flag entirely. Not many on social media are crying about it.

A consolation fireworks show is now planned for Aug. 2 at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, marking the day the last founding father actually signed the Declaration of Independence. Nice gesture. Six weeks too late, and beside the point.

Buffalo’s leaders had a choice between honoring their own country’s 250th birthday and honoring someone else’s, and they made it in under a week.

Sad as it is, infuriating as it is, that’s about the size of it, yeah.

Happy happy joy joy

What better lead-in to the 4th of July holiday weekend than some good old all-American music?

The Aaron Copland-inspired theme for The Magnificent Seven was, of course, composed in the Year of Our Lord 1960 (the year of my birth, actually—GOD, I’m old!) by one Elmer Bernstein, who I assume from the surname is one of them dirty, filthy, genocidal ***(((JooJooJooJOOOOOZ!!)))***

Update! Just gotta inclusde this: what has to be my personal all-time favorite cover version, a surf-twangy instro laid down by the aptly named John Barry Seven.

WHOA, that’s good squishy!

Film clip

Tons of chatter about Uwe Bolt’s magnum opus out there, some pro, some con, but if this extended 7.5-minute snippet doesn’t motivate you to watch the whole thing, you’re probably a damned liberal.

Update! Direct, do-it-yourself justice is busting out all over, looks like.

Mexican Batman Duct-Tapes Alleged Motorcycle Thieves to Lamp Posts
A vigilante nicknamed ‘Batman of Lagos de Moreno’ has become known in the Mexican state of Jalisco for tying alleged motorcycle thieves to lamp posts

Tired of waiting for local police to do their duty and bring criminals to justice, a mysterious vigilante in the town of Lagos de Moreno, Mexico’s Jalisco state, has been duct-taping alleged motorcycle thieves to lamp posts and leaving them for authorities to find. At least five ‘victims’ have been found so far.

The mysterious ‘Batman’ started operating in Lagos de Moreno in mid-June. The first person was found duct-taped to a lamp post, with ‘thief’ written on his forehead, on June 13th. An allegedly stolen motorcycle was also found nearby, suggesting that the immobilized person was a thief. But this was only the beginning, as police have since discovered at least 4 other alleged thieves tied to lamp posts.

Yes, there are pictures, and they’re hilarious. Unfortunately, the “proper authorities” appear to have learned nothing whatsoever from all this (bold mine).

Although most people seem convinced this crusade against alleged motorcycle thieves is the work of a single vigilante, local authorities told news reporters that this might be the work of a gang of vigilantes. Interestingly, so far, the victims have not provided any clarification in that regard.

Jalisco’s Secretary of Public Security, Juan Pablo Hernández, reported that investigations are underway to clarify the attacks and locate those involved. He also emphasized that the five men found bound so far are currently being treated as victims, adding that no one should take the law into their own hands, regardless of their motives.

Yeah well, sorry to have to hip ya to it and all, pal, but people are only gonna take so much official crim-coddling, excuse-making, and hands-off, lackadaisical “policing” before they r’are up on their hind legs and start taking care of business for themselves. Expecting otherwise from them is a mug’s game, at best.

Remember, duct-taping the thieving skin-bags to a lamp post is the MODERATE response.

An idea whose time has come?

I like it. I REALLY like it.

Whenever the Supreme Court has one of its fairly rare good rulings – and especially when that ruling isn’t part of an obvious horse trade behind the scenes (e.g., “we’ll give you your Title IX reforms in exchange for birthright citizenship”) – the Left never hesitates to propose “packing the Court” and adding a couple of more communist justices to the bench so that such unusual defeats become impossible. The threat has also worked when it’s been credible. The “switch in time that saved nine” cleared the decks for Roosevelt’s New Deal after he legitimately threatened to pack the court. Once exclusively the domain of the Left, non-Leftists also sometimes call for packing the Court because of how beholden the Court is to the Leftist powers that be and ensuring that they never become the powers that were.

The non-Left increasingly see the same tactic as viable: add a couple of non-communist justices to the bench so that the non-left more often gets what it wants out of the Court. This is a flawed strategy. If there were a way for the non-Left to so pack the Court, it would play into the Left’s hands. How many “good” – on paper, anyway – justices have been seated in the past 25 years, only for them to be more or less immediately exposed as wolves in sheep’s clothing? Without being able to guarantee that the extra two or three justices would be Clarence Thomases, the risk outweighs the reward. That style of Court packing is likely to backfire.

So, if this upcoming election goes well, we ought to consider packing the Court – not like the Left proposes it, but in a different way and with a different purpose. The traditional notion of packing the Court so as to ensure – or improve the odds of – victory for your side is too timid. Better to obviate and humiliate the Court than try to co-opt it by padding the numbers. So think big. Don’t add a few justices. Add a lot of justices and adapt the quorum rules to grind it to a halt. Make the Court far too unmaneuverable to avoid gridlock – and too absurd to command respect.

Grow the number of justices not to 13 or 17 or 19, but to 100,000. Build them a stadium to work in, and they can travel around to major college football stadiums for trials until it’s constructed. With the new count would come new quorum rules, as those are also set by legislation. Right now, there are nine justices, with six required for quorum. Make the new quorum requirement 75,000 justices. Without at least that many justices confirmed and present, no cases can be heard. The odds of SCOTUS hearing any case again under such a scenario are fairly slim. Since such a large number would make seating good justices impossible, it would also simplify confirmation. Nominate anyone. Take a page out of Caligula’s book and put a horse on the bench. It just wouldn’t matter anymore.

And that, after all, must be the ultimate goal here. T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished, sayeth moi.

Know thine enemy

Don’t bother even trying to “prove him wrong.” You can’t. Because he almost NEVER is.

The rest of it:

The century of progressivism did not go well. The European system that Wilson and the progressives scolded Americans for not adopting—which he called nearly perfect—led to the governments that caused the most awful century that the world has ever seen. Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini and Mao all were intertwined with the rise of progressivism, and all were opposed to the natural rights on which our Declaration is based. Many progressives expressed admiration for each of them shortly before their governments killed tens of millions of people. It was a terrible mistake to adopt progressivism’s rejection of the Declaration’s vision of universal, unalienable natural rights.

See what I mean?

Local Officials Vow To Shield the Public from Virginia’s Authoritarian New Gun Laws
A new chapter in the never-ending battle between centralized power and local control

“The assault weapons ban and the public carry ban are obviously unconstitutional,” Spotsylvania County Commonwealth’s Attorney Ryan Mehaffey, a Republican, informed 7News earlier this month. “And it’s incumbent upon constitutional officers in Virginia to come out and clearly state that they cannot be lawfully enforced, and to defend the people’s rights to keep and bear arms.”

Mehaffey has been joined by prosecutors from at least 15 other jurisdictions. On June 5, Hanover County Sheriff Gregory Six announced that he “shares many of the concerns that have been expressed regarding the constitutional implications of these laws” and that “the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office will exercise its lawful discretion and will not pursue enforcement actions under these new laws while the courts consider the pending constitutional challenges.”

These skeptics make a strong case. Last week, Lancaster County Circuit Judge John Martin issued a preliminary injunction against enforcement of the ban on so-called “assault weapons.” He considers it likely the prohibition will be found in violation of state constitutional protections.

Basically, Democrats won the last election and immediately moved to implement their long-stymied gun control agenda in a state populated by people with widely divergent views and lifestyles. They’re running up against a lack of cooperation from local officials who do most of the arresting and prosecuting.

Unsurprisingly, the politicians who pushed for the restrictive new laws that are set to take effect next month are unhappy that so many local officials disdain their legislative efforts.

“Commonwealth’s Attorneys are elected to enforce our laws, which is what we expect them to do when these laws take effect on July 1,” complained Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones.

Why, certainly, asswart—assuming, of course and as always, that said laws comport and comply fully with the Second Amendment to the US Constitution, that is. If not, as you have just learned to your great annoyance, all bets are off, as long as there are even a mere handful of officials who remember what exactly this country was supposed to be all about…but, thanks to shitlib scum like yourself, no longer truly is.

Baseballers ain’t having none

Tough titty for the team owners, MLB bigwigs, &c.

MLB Continues Shameful Anti-Christian Crusade—Threatens Players Over Bible Verses on ‘Pride Night’ Caps
In yet another display of its ongoing war on Christian faith, Major League Baseball has issued an official warning to three San Francisco Giants pitchers who dared to write Bible verses on their Pride Night caps.

And by ‘warning’ we mean threat, because what follows a warning in sports? Most likely a fine. Or, you know, as per Rule 3.03 of the official MLB Rulebook, a non-conforming player can be barred from participating in the game.

While the league under Commissioner Rob Manfred eagerly green-lights rainbow alterations and perpetually bows to the LGBT alphabet mafia, it is drawing a firm line at players subtly referencing God’s word.

It’s shameful. Utterly shameful.

It is that, at the very, very LEAST. Ahh, but does the story get even better, you ask? Why, yes; yes, it most certainly does.

Courage is indeed contagious. The brave stand of the San Francisco Giants’ players who wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on their caps, and the Texas Rangers’ continued stance to not host Pride Nights in June, has much to do with this latest development in the pushback on the month-long Pride celebrations from more baseball players.

The York Revolution announced it has canceled and forfeited its scheduled Thursday game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs after several players refused to wear the team’s planned Pride Night jerseys.

In a statement issued late Wednesday, the club said the decision was made with “great disappointment” and that tickets for the June 18 game will be treated as a rainout and may be redeemed for any future 2026 regular-season home game.

From the York franchise’s statement.

No excerpt from that turgid mess of groveling, pusillanimous rumpswabbery, sorry not sorry. Heap big kudos, however, to the York Rev players, the Texas Rangers, the SF Jints, and the rest for their bold stand in defiance of PC/Wokester fascism, sez I. My favorite bit? Gotta be this:

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott praised his Texas Rangers, who continue to lead by example, and chastised Major League Baseball for their punitive attitude towards free speech expressions of faith.

The Texas Rangers are the only team in Major League Baseball that doesn’t host a Pride Night. This week, they’re hosting Faith and Family Night instead.

Meanwhile, MLB just warned Giants pitchers for writing Bible verses on their own caps.

In Texas, we don’t punish people for living out their faith. We protect that right.

Thursday night, the Texas Rangers will host “Faith & Family” Night, where the players are welcomed to share their personal testimonies of faith.

Well said, Gov. How very sad that such plainspoken, common-sensical normality should come across as a tremendously refreshing change, a highly unusual breath of clean, fresh air as compared to the vile, emetic dreck the Toxic Left ladles nonstop over Real American heads each and every day. Or, as Ms O’Connell puts it:

Bravo to the York players, and other players in the MLB who openly live their values and go their own way, instead of bowing the knee to the culture’s demands for LGBTQ+ orthodoxy. The York players get the hat tip this week. They didn’t ask for permission or forgiveness; they just took a stand.

Indeed they did. Pride Month my wrinkled, baggy old ass.

Update! How long can it be before some other ballplayer—most likely no higher than Double A status, possibly Single A or even Legion ball—holds a press conference, flouncing proudly into the room at the appointed hour in women’s clothing, size 17EE pumps, and not nearly enough troweled-on makeup to conceal his coarse, three-day shadow/beard and gaily declare himself a Transpysrsyn who, despite his fully intact courting tackle, has always strongly “identified” as female?

No bad dogs

Your feel-good story of the week.

MEMPHIS, TN — A Memphis man learned the hard way this week that not every backyard appliance is part of the city’s unofficial “take what you can carry” rewards program.

Police say 41-year-old Leonard “Lil Riblet” Barksdale allegedly hopped a privacy fence in Southeast Memphis around 2:13 AM after spotting what he reportedly described as:

“a lightly supervised gas grill.”

According to neighbors, Lil Riblet moved through the backyard “with the confidence of a man who’s never once considered consequences.”

That confidence lasted approximately four seconds.

Because waiting in the yard was Memphiszilla…

a pit bull described by witnesses as:

“Built like a refrigerator with childhood trauma.”

Authorities say the dog immediately activated what experts are now calling:

“The Find Out Phase.”

Neighbors reported hearing screaming so intense one woman thought somebody was auditioning for a gospel solo three streets over.

One resident said:

“That man hit notes that could remove wallpaper.”

Police say Lil Riblet attempted multiple escape strategies, including:

  • Climbing a trampoline
  • Throwing a lawn chair as a peace offering
  • Yelling “BAD DOG” in a voice cracking like a middle school clarinet
  • And at one point allegedly trying to negotiate: “Bro please… I don’t even need the grill anymore.”

But Memphiszilla was reportedly unmoved.

Investigators say the suspect eventually climbed onto a patio table and called 911 HIMSELF while the dog circled below like a furry tax collector.

Dispatchers reportedly struggled to understand him because he was simultaneously crying, wheezing, and screaming:

“HE GOT MY SLIDES!”

When officers arrived, they found Lil Riblet apologizing directly to Jesus.

I won’t even speculate on what that jibber-jabber about his “slides” might be all about. In any event, TH’s closer is priceless:

In Memphis, you might steal somebody’s grill…

…but sometimes the grill comes with teeth.

Heh. Effing BRILLIANT, start to finish. Yes, there’s a pic of the shredded spook included, which is sure to make your day no matter how rotten a mood you’re in.

GOOOOOD squishy!

And now for something completely different.

Although I never was what anybody would call a huge fan of Neil Young—when I was a teenager we used to laugh him off as “Neil DUNG”—I do have tremendous respect for his songwriting skills, which are damned near miraculous; the above is probably the best example of that I know of offhand. “Don’t Let It Bring You Down” has been covered by everybody and his sister’s cat’s grandmother by now, and I do mean EVERYBODY: Annie Lennox, the Cowboy Junkies, Chris Cornell, Guns & Roses (!!!), and Paul McCartney, just to name a few. That constitutes a pretty dang powerful endorsement all on its own, actually.

It’s an achingly lovely, haunting tune, both melodically and lyrics-wise, about which Young himself once sardonicized:

On (CSN&Y’s 1971 live album)  4 Way Street, Young says, “Here is a new song, it’s guaranteed to bring you right down, it’s called ‘Don’t Let It Bring You Down’. It sorta starts off real slow and then fizzles out altogether.” The crowd then roars with laughter.

As well they might’ve. In Korb’s jazz-trio version above, what Salieri said in Amadeus of Mozart’s work is even more apropos: Displace one note and there would be diminishment. Displace one phrase and the structure would fall.

Update! Having recently discussed the vital importance of phrasing to any vocal performance, irrespective of musical genre, I would be remiss not to call Ms Korb’s impeccable style to y’all’s attention. Keep a close ear on that piano break, also.

Sage advice

Words of wisdom from great North Carolinian Mark Robinson.

Just as he always has, the man makes a hell of a lot of sense. Such a shame that CNN was allowed to hound him out of the governor’s race in ’24 with a bunch of made-up crap.

NC GOP Candidate Accuses CNN of ‘High-Tech Lynching’
Mark Robinson, the fiery GOP candidate for governor in North Carolina, denied CNN’s “salacious” accusation against him and labeled it a new “high-tech lynching.”

CNN, the network that calls leftist riots “fiery but mostly peaceful protests,” is claiming to have uncovered disturbing racist and sexual comments from Republican gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson on a porn site. Robinson has denied the allegations, claiming the “tabloid trash” is meant to distract voters from real issues. He even accused his Democrat opponent of being involved in releasing the story.

Robinson, who is currently North Carolina’s lieutenant governor, posted a video addressing the CNN allegations. “Well, guys, the news media is at it again. My opponent is at it again,” he began. “You all have seen the half truths and outright lies of [Democrat] Josh Stein on these ads over and over again, and now a story … leaked by him to CNN, is appearing.”

Watch the above-embedded video, listen carefully to Robinson’s words, and then ask yourself: knowing how reprehensible and patently dishonest CNN has always been, does the man speaking in the vid sound like the kind of guy who would do the things his dirty-Demonrat opponent used the ever-helpful (for D卐M☭CRATs, natch) CNN to accuse him of?

Update! Transcript, for the X-challenged.

Robinson knows exactly what to tell them. “Okay, ma’am, I’ve got you on this one. How about you tell them to behave in school and pay attention? Tell them to get all the knowledge they can and make great grades. Tell them to be respectful to adults. and come tell you and their dad if they think an adult has been disrespectful or unfair towards them, and let you make the call on that.”

He continued to challenge the woman to prioritize good manners and common decency instead of an obsession with skin color. “How about you tell them to keep their pants up on their waist, not down on their backsides,” Robinson suggested. “And tell them if you get her pregnant, get a job. Then get her a ring. Then get a house, and then make it a home. Tell them to respect the law and those who uphold it. And if you are accosted by law enforcement, obey their orders and call you at the first chance they have, if need be. And if it’s just a traffic ticket, take it and say, ‘Thank you, officer’, and drive away in peace. Because fighting the traffic stop is for court, not the side of the road.”

Robinson also emphasized the importance of religion. “Tell them that Jesus Christ is the way and the truth, and if they will follow him, all will be well.” He ended, “Now, I believe if you tell them all these things, there will be no need to tell them not to take a knife to a track meet and stab a fellow high school runner to death. So, yeah, tell them those things. You’ll be amazed at how well things turn out.”

Alas, if the woman Robinson is responding to is anything like the murdering thug’s own close relatives, she won’t be listening.

Anthony’s parents have defended him every step of the way, claiming, in defiance of all evidence to the contrary, that Metcalf attacked their son instead of the other way around. His mother even claimed that every single witness was lying in an insane denial of reality. Anthony’s grandmother screamed, “racist, biased,” as she left the courthouse after his conviction. Karmelo Anthony was not a victim of racial violence. He committed deadly violence because his family raised a monster.

Sick, that’s what. But that’s what we’re all up against now, that’s the kind of warped (non-)thinking that must be overcome.

We cannot spare this man, Sen John Kennedy

He fights.

He Said What He Said: Sen. Kennedy Flattens Schumer, Platner As the ‘Platner Wing’ Tightens Its Grip
As I wrote on Thursday, the results of the Maine Democrat Senate primary made clear that a majority of the Democrats who voted wouldn’t care if Graham Platner kicked puppies, crushed butterflies with his bare hand, and stole old ladies’ purses, much less be a Nazi sympathizer and allegedly physically abusive towards a woman, provided he does his part in giving the party control of the U.S. Senate.

While he has his true believers in the Senate, like Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), others, like Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), have been purposely avoiding saying too much about Platner, and his Republican colleague, Sen.John Kennedy (R-LA), knows exactly why.

Kennedy has made it a point this week on at least two occasions – one on the Senate floor and one in a Fox News interview – to point out how it’s now the “Platner wing” of the party that controls it, and also to warn folks exactly what that entails and the kind of person Graham Platner is and what he represents.

Better sit down for this, folks. If you know Sen Kennedy at all, you know it’s gonna be not just good, but effin’ GREAT.

In his Senate floor speech, Kennedy observed that Schumer was now “taking his orders from the Graham Platner wing of the Democratic Party” because that wing of the party “is in control.”

“Many members of Democratic leadership are scared to death, and they’re gonna do what the Graham Platner wing of the party wants,” he went on to say. They want to “burn it down, they want chaos, because they think it will help them win the midterm elections.”

Heh. Oh, but wait, it gets even better still.

Mr. Platner seems to be one of the new faces of the loon wing of the Democratic Party. Clearly, he’s angry. When I see him on TV, he always looks like he’s straining to have a stool.

His supporters say no, you don’t understand him. He’s just idiosyncratic. I guess he goose steps to the beat of his own drummer. But his history shows there’s more than that.

I mean, this guy makes…he makes Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez look like Aunt Bea in Mayberry. Mr. Platner’s comments about black people, his cavalier attitude towards rape, apparently his stated preference for masturbating in a porta-potty, his contempt for America.

I think at one point he implied he wished the Taliban were better shots to kill our people. This is not normal. I mean, this guy is 10 exits past normal.

Then he says well, that was in my past. I’ve been born again. But just recently we found out through his wife that Mr. Platner has been sending sexually explicit messages, digital messages, to other women.

He calls it sexting. He says, ‘Oh, there’s nothing to see here.’ Well, Anthony Weiner was sexting. We all said what is that about, and we found out he was sending pictures of his penis to young women.

Now, I’m not saying Mr. Platner is doing that. I don’t know. But he needs to release those text messages. I want to know if he’s a sexual predator! I mean, the people of Maine deserve to know. This guy is…he’s like a Saturday Night Live skit!

Video of the whole scrump-dilly-icious thing at the link.

Comments policy

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. "I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."

—David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
—John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
—Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
