Hey, Nutflix, leave Aslan alone!

My God, there really isn’t anything whatsoever they won’t stand on its head and try to make a traveshamockery out of, is there?

Through a Wardrobe Dimly: Netflix’s Narnia Reboot
So last week, the word was out that Netflix is playing host to a reboot of “The Chronicles of Narnia.” On top of that, talks are apparently in the works to have none other than Meryl Streep voice Aslan. Yes, they are coming for Narnia in the same way they came for “Star Wars” and “The Lord of the Rings.” A galaxy far, far, away is not safe, nor is Middle Earth; why should Narnia be sacrosanct?

 Deadline reports:

In the novels, Aslan is a talking lion who serves as Narnia’s guardian and a guide for the human children. Generally portrayed as a male, Aslan was created as an allegory for Jesus by author C.S. Lewis.

However, in “The Chronicles of Narnia,” Aslan is not merely an allegory for Christ. Lewis was quite clear that Aslan was Christ as he would have manifested himself to the inhabitants of Narnia. The biblical parallels are unavoidable with a respectful and thoughtful reading of the books, as they were meant to be.

To wit: in “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” we have this quote, “I am [in your world].’ said Aslan. ‘But there, I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.”

It is plausible that the producers of the reboot see Aslan as nothing more than an interesting main character in a fantasy series and thus have no compunctions about playing fast and loose with his gender. It is equally plausible (and altogether likely) that the producers are well aware of the intentional Christianity of the Narnia series and Aslan’s true identity and have taken it upon themselves to decolonize, deconstruct, and reassemble Narnia into something less Christian and more to their liking. Rebooting Aslan is another clandestine attempt at rebooting Christ.

As Fate would have it, I’ve recently been re-reading The Chronicles of Narnia for the umpty-leventh time, and enjoying Lewis’ inspired magnum opus trememdously; it’s been too many years since I last checked in on Polly, Diggory, wicked Uncle Andrew, King Peter, Queen Susan, Prince Caspian, Mr Tumnus, and the rest of the gang. Frankly, the only thing I find at all surprising about Nutflix’s latest attempt to shit in its own hat is that they didn’t go out and find themselves a Neegrow lesbian Transgender of Color rather than moldy-oldy White-bread broad Streep to voice Aslan, so as to offend, dismay, and just plain piss off as many Xtianist, binary, sane Normals as humanly possible.

Lowlife is as lowlife does

Trump, as per usual, calls ‘em like he sees ‘em.

Trump Calls Jasmine Crockett a ‘Lowlife,’ but That’s Not the Best Part

And the fun aspect is, it isn’t. It really, truly isn’t.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Victimhood) recently called Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who is wheelchair-bound, “Governor Hot Wheels.” Called out on this, Crockett issued a typical leftist non-apology, changing the subject and shifting the blame to Orange Man Bad and his efforts to save America from criminal migrant gangs. Now, however, Trump has responded, calling her a “lowlife,” which is obvious, and casting doubt on her chances to become the Democrats’ presidential candidate in 2028. Yes, there are some people who actually think a Crockett candidacy would be a good idea.

Okay, wait a minute. She is angry at Abbott for supposedly sending “migrants to communities run by black mayors and stoke tensions and fear among the most vulnerable.” So she must support Trump’s efforts to get criminal migrants out of the country, right? Wrong. After all, she is a Democrat and he is Trump, so she has no more problem with inconsistency than any of her far-left colleagues.

And so when told about her claim that she was only objecting to Abbott sending illegal migrants to deep-blue “sanctuary cities,” Trump responded: “Well, it’s a lie. And she lies.” The president added: “But she’s a lowlife, and she’s a very low-IQ person… At first, I thought she was a comedian. I couldn’t believe she was a congressman or whatever she is.” He said she was “a little bit funny, but crude, and now I found out she’s actually a politician.”

Whether she knows it or not (PRO TIP: she doesn’t), the low-IQ lowlife makes a far better comedian than she ever will a statesman. Hell, she ain’t even much of a Congresscritter, which is about as low a bar to clear as they come.

Update! Mo’ bettah, same article.

These people (and there were many more of them in the thread) might be just a few nuts, but over at The Hill, former Reagan speechwriter Douglas MacKinnon said that “Crockett and Ocasio-Cortez are trying to fill the vacuum created by Harris’s loss, the absence of a clear 2028 frontrunner and a coherent agenda. With chaos comes opportunity — opportunity, perhaps, for them.”

Trump, however, was dismissive of this “opportunity,” saying: “The Democrats are going to suffer with this one… I don’t imagine the Democrats are going to have a person like that running their party.” He added that if Crockett ever becomes a leader of the Democrats, “they’ll never win an election again. It would be very hard.”

T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished, certainly. But for my money, just outright banning the D卐M☭CRAT criminal organization masquerading as a political party would suit just as nicely, perhaps even better in the long run. When it comes to forever ridding ourselves of pestiferous excrescences like Crockett and ilk, Real Americans need to be thinking proactively, not reactively.

Updated update! Via Sarah Hoyt, Tom Knighton piles on, and it’s a laff riot.

See, what we need to understand about Crockett and many of her fellow leftists is that, quite simply, they can do whatever they want to anyone on the right.

One would be tempted to call it a double standard–and cue the “If not for double standards, leftists would have no standards at all” line–but that’s not accurate, either.

They have very clear standards on how people should be treated.

They just don’t think anyone on the right counts as people.

She could make light of Abbott being in a wheelchair, not because disabled people are worthy of being disrespected in her mind, but because Abbott is a Republican and therefore doesn’t count as a human.

Remember eight years ago when everyone on the left was talking about “punching Nazis” while also claiming everyone they disliked was a Nazi? That was just a way to justify the assaults they wanted to carry out, all while pretending words they don’t like are violence. They’re people and we’re not.

High time we started treating them in kind, then—fully, forcefully, measure for measure—without surcease, restraint, or the slightest hint of mercy. Nice thing is, we’ll be right about them; by their words and actions both, shitlibs prove themselves to be at best quasi-human multiple times a day, each and every day.

“VERY bad people” redux

Anybody wanna try explaining to me how this does NOT constitute actual, literal terrorism? Or at the very least incitement to terrorist acts?

Quick Hit:
A website called “Dogequest” has reportedly published the personal details of Tesla owners nationwide, exposing names, addresses, and phone numbers on an interactive map. The site, which appears to be targeting Tesla drivers due to CEO Elon Musk’s ties with the Trump administration, also features a Molotov cocktail as a cursor. The operators claim they will only remove personal information if the individual provides proof they have sold their Tesla.

Key Details:
The website “Dogequest” reportedly doxes Tesla owners and employees of Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), listing personal information and Tesla dealership locations.

The site encourages vandalism of Tesla vehicles, stating it supports “creative expressions of protest.”

Recent incidents include vandalism at Tesla dealerships, gunfire attacks in Oregon, and harassment of Cybertruck owners.

Diving Deeper:
The emergence of “Dogequest” comes amid rising hostility toward Tesla owners and dealerships, a trend that has escalated following Elon Musk’s high-profile role in the Trump administration. According to a report, the website exposes the names, addresses, and phone numbers of Tesla drivers across the United States while using a Molotov cocktail cursor—a clear symbol of violent intent.

Beyond targeting individual Tesla owners, the site also reveals locations of Tesla dealerships and supercharger stations. One section of the website appears to endorse vandalism, stating that those looking to attack a Tesla “don’t need a map” to do so. This rhetoric coincides with increasing reports of Tesla-related attacks, including a woman arrested for throwing an incendiary device at a dealership in Loveland, Colorado, and multiple Tesla locations in Oregon being targeted by gunfire.

Round these brazen terrorists up and pack ‘em all off to their palatial new digs in Gitmo, sayeth I. Let me count the ways:

  • They are all violent, lawless, and dangerous
  • By their own actions, they have demonstrated themselves to be a credible, imminent threat to life, limb, property, and civic order
  • They are batshit insane

Our “fellow Americans,” you say? In a pig’s eye. No decent, civilized society can afford to allow thuggish ferals like these to walk around loose, not if it hopes to survive. As such, they of right ought to be rockin’ orange by no later than sunset tomorrow, every last man Jack of ‘em. If Your FBI© cared one iota about, y’know, doing its job (as opposed to harrassing, persecuting, and jailing patriotic Normals), they’d be all over these vicious swine like a pair of Fruit Of The Looms.

One of these things is not like the other

There is no such thing as an “innocent Palestinian civilian.” Never has been, never will be. Period fucking dot.

Happily, Israel has resumed bombing Gaza into (more) rubble.

Israel Unleashes ‘Gates of Hell’ on Hamas
The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is over. The Israeli Defense Force resumed bombing raids after Hamas rejected multiple hostage deals.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement, “Tonight we returned to fighting in Gaza in light of Hamas’ refusal to release the kidnapped and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities.”

“If Hamas does not release all the kidnapped, the gates of hell will open in Gaza, and Hamas’ murderers and rapists will meet the IDF with forces they have never known before,” Katz warned. “We will not stop fighting until all the kidnapped return home and all the war’s goals are achieved.”

There are believed to be 59 Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement that he and Katz “have instructed the IDF to act forcefully against the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”

“This decision comes after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all proposals presented by U.S. President’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and other mediators,” the statement continued.

“At this moment, the IDF is striking Hamas targets across the Gaza Strip to achieve the war’s objectives as set by the political leadership, including the release of all our hostages—both the living and the fallen. From this point forward, Israel will escalate its military operations against Hamas with increasing intensity.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the Israelis consulted the Trump administration before launching the attacks.

“The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza tonight,” she told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “All those who seek to terrorize not just Israel but the United States of America will see a price to pay. All hell will break loose.”

It’s highly doubtful the kidnapped will EVER “return home,” seeing as how most if not all of them are almost certainly dead by now. I am enjoying all the hell-related rhetoric though, I must say. Hopefully, it ain’t just rhetoric. Finish the job, Bibi, once and for all. Distasteful as you may find it, the safety and security of your nation and its people require nothing less.

Stand your ground?

Oh HELL no. Not in the shitlib’s Earthly Paradise, you won’t.

Lifted from the comments, an illustration of progressive ethics. Or, How dare you defend your home and loved ones from sociopathic intruders with long criminal histories:

The bill’s sponsor, Rick Chavez Zbur, claims, “The bill’s goal is to prevent wannabe vigilantes… from provoking violence and then claiming self-defense after the fact.” Which suggests that finding intruders in your home, or breaking into your home, intent on thievery and God knows what else, is somehow not in itself an obvious provocation. Or a basis for vigorous self-defence.

Instead, the bill would oblige homeowners to “retreat” wherever possible, thereby reducing the risk of “force likely to cause death or great bodily injury” to the burglar or burglars, whose wellbeing is apparently a matter of great importance, if only to progressive lawmakers. This restriction is framed as a “safety” measure, albeit one that prioritises the safety of the criminal, who will presumably be enabled to continue his trajectory of repeated home invasion, but with reduced resistance and ever greater boldness.

But remember, wokeness is just about being compassionate.

Well, sure—for certain values of the word “compassion,” that is. But really, it’s not all that difficult to grasp; you just need to keep foremost in mind who Wokester “compassion” is reserved exclusively for, and who is undeserving of such.

Crooks, robbers, and thieves

Yet another question that answers itself.

Annnnd your obligatory “Show more…” end run.

12 billion dollars was allocated to the Navy for submarines and not one submarine was built.

42.5 billion dollars was allocated to hook people up to high-speed Internet, and not one single person was hooked up to high-speed Internet.

7.5 billion dollars was allocated to build EV charging stations. Only 37 stations were built. Thats 200 million per charging station.

Where is the rest of the money?

Three guesses, first two don’t count. More and more I’m coming to think that all US ProPols, at every level, should be required by law to wear black bandanas over their faces, like the highwaymen of old. That way we’d all know right away what we were looking at, and no mistakes need ever be made about it. The truly pressing question, being brought home to us more forcefully with every passing day, is whether ANY of these villeins ever intended to spend the taxpayers’ money on what they claimed they were going to.

Aww, don’t bother, that one kinda answers itself too, really.

The absolute last word on “birthright citizenship”

It is NOT a thing, has never BEEN a thing, and ought never to BE a thing. Period fucking dot.

The 14th Amendment does not confer automatic citizenship
Claremont Institute scholars, including me, Ed Erler, Tom West, John Marini, and Michael Anton, President Trump’s incoming Director of Policy Planning at the State Department, have been contending for years—decades, really—that the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause does not provide automatic citizenship for everyone born on U.S. soil, no matter the circumstances. Other prominent scholars, such as the late University of Texas law Professor Lino Graglia, University of Pennsylvania Professor Rogers Smith, and Yale Law Professor Emeritus Peter Schuck, have come to the same conclusion based on their own extensive scholarly research.

Claremont scholars have made the argument in books, law review articles, congressional testimony, and legal briefs. President Ronald Reagan’s Attorney General, Edwin Meese, even joined one of those briefs, in which we argued against treating enemy combatant Yaser Esam Hamdi as a citizen merely because he had been born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, while his father was working in the U.S. on a temporary work visa. Perhaps as a result of our brief in that case, the late Justice Antonin Scalia referred to Hamdi as a “presumed citizen” in his dissenting opinion.

Our argument is straightforward. The text of the 14th Amendment contains two requirements for acquiring automatic citizenship by birth: one must be born in the United States and be subject to its jurisdiction. The proper understanding of the Citizenship Clause therefore turns on what the drafters of the amendment, and those who ratified it, meant by “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.” Was it merely a partial, temporary jurisdiction, such as applies to anyone (except for diplomats) who are subject to our laws while they are within our borders? Or does it instead apply only to those who are subject to a more complete jurisdiction, one which manifests itself as owing allegiance to the United States and not to any foreign power?

Think of it this way. Someone from Great Britain visiting the United States is subject to our laws while here, which is to say subject to our partial or territorial jurisdiction. He must drive on the right-hand side of the road rather than the left, for example. But he does not thereby owe allegiance to the United States; he is not subject to being drafted into our army; and he cannot be prosecuted for treason (as opposed to ordinary violations of law) if he takes up arms against the United States, for he has breached no oath of allegiance.

So which understanding of “subject to the jurisdiction” did the drafters of the 14th Amendment have in mind?

Happily, we don’t need to speculate, as they were asked that very question. They unambiguously stated that it meant “complete” jurisdiction, such as existed under the law at the time, the Civil Rights Act of 1866, which excluded from citizenship those born on U.S. soil who were “subject to a foreign power.”

Covers the bases pretty well, I should think, although there are still plenty more indisputable proofs perusable at the link. Which, of course, doesn’t by any means suggest that shitlibs are going to cease and desist soiling their Underoos, wailing and weeping, and waving their chubby fists around demanding that saner sorts recognize this nonexistent “right” immediately. Not anytime soon, they ain’t. It’s an approach Real Americans would do well to adopt for themselves: no discussion, no debate, no controversy is truly concluded until the Left has gotten its way.

Apropos of nothing: if you check the date on the article (1/28/25), you’ll see that this one has just about got to be the all-time record holder in the Most Consecutive Days Spent Languishing In An Open Tab Waiting For Ye Aulde Blogghoste To Finally Get Around To Posting On It™ category.

From bad to worse

Stephen Green shares some deeply disturbing news.

I Could Live With the Egg Shortage, but NOT THIS… NOT THIS
We can argue all day and all night over whether the massive poultry cull was necessary or not, but two things are 100% certain. The first is that fewer birds producing fewer eggs gave us yet another massive spike in the price of eggs, typically an affordable and easy-to-prepare protein depended upon by jillions of people. The second is that I just learned of something worse.

Actually, let’s talk about that bird cull for just a moment. I did a little research on that a couple of weeks ago, thinking I might get a column out of it. I gave up on the column because half the reports I read indicated that the bird flu test is subject to false positives and that massive numbers of egg hens were unnecessarily slaughtered. The other half indicated no such problem. So I threw up my hands and abandoned the column.

But on reflection, since the cull was an act of the Biden administration, and since everything it did was either wrongheaded, spiteful, or both, I’m going to ignore half my research and just tell you that it was the wrong call. “I was going to buy eggs, but then escrow fell through” is the fault of the Biden administration, and it didn’t have to be that way.

I feel better now. But we’re both about to feel worse — if, like me, you have a minimum two-cup-a-day coffee habit.

As consumers, we’ve been lucky so far. Coffee, I learned today, is the second-most traded commodity after oil. If you want to know what the planet really runs on, it’s two very different kinds of black liquid, both packed full of energy. What it means for coffee drinkers is that the source and price of the cup you’re sipping right now were locked in months ago, maybe longer. What it also means is that as those futures expire and traders lock the new ones in, higher prices get locked in, too. Maybe much higher. Maybe double.

It’s already happening.

As Stephen goes on to detail, it is indeed—and for some of us, that’s terrifying. Personally, I share our old friend Steve’s view on the matter: eggs I can live without, coffee…ehh, not so much. I never have much enjoyed eggs unless they were scrambled, covered in shredded cheddar, and doused liberally with Tabasco, usually sharing a platter alongside a double order of hash browns scattered, smothered, covered, peppered, and diced at Waffle House during one of those bleary-eyed noontime “breakfast” stops as the band was heading out for the next town.

Denny’s, you ask? Don’t make me laugh.

Ever since eggs went from Source Of All Bad Things Including But Not Limited To Heart Attacks, Climate Change, and Raycissismism to Nature’s Perfect Food practically overnight, I’ve taken to hard-boiling the yucky things (NO runny yolks, not EVER), slicing them in half, and then sprinkling each half with Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning before sending them down the hatch, one per day strictly to keep the doctor away. Go messing around with my beloved Luzianne w/ chicory, though, and me and you gon’ FIGHT.

Churmany defeats itself…again

In case any of you were laboring under the delusion that Germany will somehow be able to politically right itself and save themselves from—well, themselves, actually, Ace provides this helpful, handy-dandy explainer as to why that simply isn’t so.

The fake “center right” party won the election. They made noises about cracking down on illegal immigration, but, as you can see in the video below the fold, their leader and the next German PM vows that “no one is talking about closing the borders.”

The “far right” party, AfD or Alternative for Germany, came in a strong second at 20%, receiving its highest vote share ever, will have… zero participation in the new government.

That’s because the CDU vowed to not form a government with the “far right” (they’re far right because they oppose unlimited eternal mass migration from the third world) AfD.

The “Center right” party, the Christian Democrat Union or CDU, is the party of Andrea Merkel, whose “Wilkomen” policy of allowing mass migration without even the most basic vetting has plunged Germany into crisis.

Note that they do not have a majority of the seats in Parliament, or the Bund I guess the huns call it, so that means they will have to form an alliance with another party to secure a majority and form a government.

Because the CDU abides by the “cordon sanitaire” or “firewall” policy that all the Euro Regime countries do, refusing to form governments with any party that’s “far right” (again, meaning “against unlimited mass migration from Islamic countries”), that means that this “center right” party will form a coalition government with… either the German Socialist Party and/or the German Green Party, who are themselves big champions of unlimited third-world mass migration.

You might wonder: Why not just start a new party that isn’t “far right” but still opposes open borders?

Well, silly, because any party that opposes open borders is “far right” and subject to the “firewall” policy of excluding closed-border parties.

So the “center right” party will be pursuing a socialist, mass-migration open borders agenda.

But they’ve kept those dirty “far right” voters out of power.

And what happens when the German government collapses again because the “center right” party cannot agree with its socialist and green partners?

Well, we go through the same process again: a government is allowed to govern without a majority, citing an emergency, and they stage another election in which the will of the people will again be thwarted, and the “center-right” party again forms a coalition with the leftwing open borders parties.

How long can this inherently unstable situation persist for?

Right offhand, I’d say it will until all of a sudden…it won’t.

Q: Do these people know ANYTHING AT ALL about history?

Or do they prefer to just make it all up as they go along, in whatever willy-nilly fashion that suits them?

Never mind, probably best not to answer that one.

Marco Rubio Leaves CBS News’ Margaret Brennan Speechless After She Claimed Nazis ‘Weaponized’ Free Speech
CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan had nothing to say after Secretary of State Marco Rubio brutally countered her weak argument that the Nazis somehow “weaponized” free speech to conduct a genocide.

The “Face the Nation” exchange came Sunday morning during a discussion about Vice President JD Vance’s incredible speech in Munich, Germany on Friday, in which he roasted European leaders to their faces for their horrible positions on unchecked immigration and free speech.

The speech predictably drew howls of protest from Europeans who for the past four years were doubtless unused to being criticized by an American administration. German president Olaf Scholz called Vance’s words “not appropriate,” and German defense minister Boris Pistorius called them “unacceptable.”

Well, bless their hearts.

Bless their hearts, hell. Y’know, for people who in fact are themselves fascists, you’d think shitlib “journalismists” like Brennan would know one when they saw one without too much trouble. And yet.

Brennan interrupted Rubio with the claim that Vance was “standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide.” She then went on to criticize the vice president for meeting with Germany’s “far right” Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party, despite the fact that he also met with leaders of other major German political parties. There is also the fact that Europeans consider any party that doesn’t want to invite the entire world “far right.” Even more disturbing, Brennan defended the censorship by claiming it was “specifically about the right.”

Rubio not only vehemently disagreed with the CBS anchor, but countered with facts:

“I have to disagree with you,” he responded. “Free speech was not used to conduct a genocide. The genocide was conducted by an authoritarian Nazi regime that happened to also be genocidal because they hated Jews and they hated minorities … There was no free speech in Nazi Germany. There was none. There was also no opposition in Nazi Germany. They were the sole and only party that governed that country, and so that’s not an accurate reflection of history.”

Rubio defended Vance’s point about the “erosion in free speech and intolerance for opposing points of view” in Europe.

When the secretary of state was finished, Brennan had nothing to say except that they were out of time. How convenient.

Funny how it always seems to work out sooooo conveniently for these morons, innit?

Democracy delayed is democracy denied

For all the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth they constantly do about “saving Muh Precious Demuhcrasee,” D卐M☭CRATs sure seem awfully blase about the actual, literal practice of it.

New York State Democrats Want to Delay Special Election to Replace Stefanik Until November
The party that claims to want to “defend democracy” has decided to abandon the struggle in New York.

“Abandon” it? Close, but no donut. They’re assaulting it, waging war against it, for reasons which are about to become apparent.

New York state Democrats are going to pass a bill that allows Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul to delay scheduling special elections until November. Current law requires Hochul to schedule a special election 90 days after a vacancy is declared.

The nomination of former Rep. Elise Stefanik to be UN ambassador will create a vacancy in her deep red district once the Senate confirms her nomination. Once the bill passes (Democrats have large majorities in both Houses), Hochul could deny citizens of New York’s 21st Congressional District any representation for an extra six months.

Bold mine and, as always, dispositive. So it would appear that the D卐M☭CRATs’ deep, abiding reverence for “democracy” is conditional, depending entirely on who the participants happen to be. And if you think that Hochul’s shifty move is just to give her and her minions extra time to ensure that the “elections” will be free, fair, and above-board, I have some ocean-front property in central Arizona for sale you really ought to consider buying.

Whodunit

Chris Bray nails it clean and tight.

Your Job Is to Push the Yes Button
the secretaries make the game clear

A gaggle of former Secretaries of the Treasury — Robert Rubin, Lawrence Summers, Timothy Geithner, Jacob Lew and Janet Yellen — warn in the New York Times today that the President of the United States is interfering with the operations of the executive branch. No, really. It remains entirely true that warnings about the threat to “Our Democracy” are, in fact, warnings about the threat to Our Bureaucracy.

Five people who’ve served at the top levels of the federal government can’t produce one clear and reasonable premise between them. After a bunch of throat clearing, the fourth paragraph begins the actual attempt at an argument:

The nation’s payment system has historically been operated by a very small group of nonpartisan career civil servants. In recent days, that norm has been upended, and the roles of these nonpartisan officials have been compromised by political actors from the so-called Department of Government Efficiency. One has been appointed fiscal assistant secretary — a post that for the prior eight decades had been reserved exclusively for civil servants to ensure impartiality and public confidence in the handling and payment of federal funds.

The administrative state is impartial, honest, accurate, and pure. “Civil servants” are good; political people are bad. But this is how Article II begins: “The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” Our entire system of government is premised on the authority of people who, having been elected to office, are accountable to be the people of the country for their choices. A function of government that “has historically been operated by a very small group of nonpartisan career civil servants”: not present in the Constitution. Prove otherwise, if you’d like to try. Show me the authority of that “very small group of nonpartisan career civil servants” in Article II, and tell me exactly where to find it.

Five former senior government officials, feeling themselves wonderfully virtuous, have casually upended the entire American system of government without noticing that they’ve done it. Dire warning: The President of the United States is acting like he’s in charge of the executive branch.

Shocking, innit? Matt Margolis has a meme which explains this strange phenomenon.

‘Nuff said.

Say it with me, people: they won’t stop. They will never stop. They will have to BE stopped.

The Mean Girls of liberal media
A New York magazine hit-piece on the alleged ‘cruelty’ of Trump supporters has backfired spectacularly.

Since Donald Trump’s inauguration last week, there has been much coping and seething in progressive media outlets, and among the smattering of people who still pay attention to them.

New York magazine really took the biscuit with an article this week entitled, ‘The Cruel Kids’ Table’, illustrated by a cover photo of young revellers at an exclusive Trump inauguration party in Washington, DC. The people in the photo are dressed to the nines in tuxedos and evening gowns, with glowy tanned skin and big smiles. Also, everyone in the picture is white.

The title and the photo together are clearly meant to invoke horrible memories in readers of being stuffed into lockers by the high-school jock because you – a pathetic loser – looked at his pretty, blonde, cheerleader girlfriend. The implication is crystal clear: look at these horrible, white bullies! Look how cruel they are, celebrating this new racist, homophobic regime!

Notably, the article twice references a supposed lack of non-white guests at different pro-Trump parties. However, it has since transpired that the magazine cropped out several black party-goers from the cover photograph. Black Republican CJ Pearson posted on X that he actually hosted the event in the photo. He says that New York magazine ‘intentionally left me out of their story because it would have undermined [its] narrative that MAGA is some racist cult’.

Even more damning, Pearson said that the New York article purposefully neglects to mention some of the party’s high-profile black attendees. Waka Flocka Flame, a black rapper with almost two million followers on X, gets only a fleeting mention. Gervonta Davis, a black professional boxer with eight million Instagram followers, isn’t mentioned at all. These oversights were not simply careless. This is bad faith.

Which of course is exactly what it was, and is. I repeat: who they are, what they do. I refer you yet again to Mike’s Iron Laws for further details, specifically #’s 873 and 4296-54E, addendum 67. Also #462, just for good measure. The genuinely hilarious part is, having gotten away with their shit scot-free for so very long now, Jurassic Media shitlibs think it a given that they’re always gonna. Hence the look of stunned amazement on their smug faces when that unfounded assumption whirls around and bites ’em on the ass. UNEXPECTED!!!©

Note: the above link is to Instapundit, where you’ll find a link to the excerpted article; it’s paywalled, but 12Ft.io worked nicely for me. For whatever reason, as time has gone by 12Ft has become unreliable enough that it’s slipped from being my go-to option to being replaced by Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. In this particular instance, though, it was vice the versa: Internet Archive shit the bed, but 12Ft came through like a champ. I haven’t the vaguest clue why that might be, but…well, there it is.

Hilariouser and hilariouser

Okay, okay, just stop it, you pathetic dweebs. You’re killing me over here.

A report from CNN details in-depth the thought process of the current president as he confronts his own mortality, seeing exactly how a funeral for a former president is conducted in the wake of the passing of Jimmy Carter.

Like most presidents, the outlet notes that Biden has already approved a plan for his own services. However, concern has seeped in that Trump, who is just days away from being inaugurated for a second term, would eschew decorum.

“Still, an uncomfortable thought has circulated among some Biden aides and longtime supporters in the days since Carter died: If Biden passes while Trump is president, would he get a state funeral?” they write.

“They hope Biden lives a long time, but, several of those aides and supporters told CNN, they want him to live to see the end of Trump’s time as president and not have to worry about questions like these.”

Yeh, fat chance of that happening, you miserable swine. The demented old fraud has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel already, has had for quite a few years now. He’s one more hilarious ass-over-teacups pratfall away from staggering on off to the Bone Orchard as it is.

Considering their cordial meeting at the White House in November, it seems unlikely that Trump would refuse to honor Biden’s wishes. Despite the fact that Biden’s administration did their absolute best for years to put him in jail.

Not to mention, it seems more like a case of projection. Is there any doubt President Biden and his aides would have refused to honor Trump had he unfortunately passed while Joe and Kamala were in office?

Recall, if you will, that congressional Democrats in 2021 introduced a bill that would ban former President Donald Trump from being buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

I repeat: pathetic. Also, disgusting. Once again I must refer you to Mike’s Iron Laws, namely #462 in this particular instance.

Then again, I must confess that I’d be pleased as punch to see Pedaux Jaux Bribem’s corporeal remains swaddled in a filthy, cum-encrusted bedsheet from a Tijuana whorehouse, stuffed into a worn-soft cardboard box, sealed in with half a roll of Gorilla tape, and unceremoniously bunged into the nearest Dempster dumpster to rot with the rest of the reeking garbage, myself. That would be meet, just, and no more than the decomposing oaf deserves. Good riddance to bad rubbish, I always say. Sweating Eternity out as doubtless he will be in the hottest, blackest corner of fiery Hell with his fellow career politicians, it’s a lead-pipe cinch that Too Aulde Jaux is neither gonna know nor care one way or the other.
