Day late, dollar short Eyrie update

The Monday Substack post—”NEWS FLASH: Gander not fond of Goose’s sauce“—is finally up and running, delayed due to my mom having been whisked off to the hospital late yesterday for emergency treatment of all kinds of serious issues. After a night spent hallucinating and literally screaming in pain, she’s stabilized for the moment, so I put together a quickie but still top-quality post while I await word that she’s conscious and able to take phone calls again. Thanks for your patience, gang; depending on developments, blogging might be spotty over the next several days.

PROBLEMATIC update! What DeSantis really said, and what he did NOT say.

DeSantis: ‘Soros Attorney’ Alvin Bragg is ‘Weaponizing His Office’ to Prosecute Trump
DeSantis, who is expected to declare his 2024 candidacy against Trump this Spring, broke his silence on the impending indictment during a press conference in Panama City, Monday morning.

I’ve seen rumors swirl, I haven’t seen any facts yet,” DeSantis said. “What I do know is the Manhattan District Attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor, and so he, like other Soros-funded prosecutors, they weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety.

The governor stressed that the DA’s soft on crime policies have been a disaster for New York City.

“He has downgraded over 50 percent of felonies to misdemeanors. He says he doesn’t even want to have jail time for the vast, vast majority of crimes, and what we’ve seen in Manhattan is the crime rate go up, we’ve seen citizens become less safe,” DeSantis said.

The governor noted that while he couldn’t speak to the hush money allegations, he could speak to Bragg’s job performance as Manhattan’s District Attorney, where he has been “ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction” only to “go back many, many years” to investigate a political opponent’s alleged hush money payments.

“That’s an example of pursuing a political agenda and weaponizing the office and I think that’s fundamentally wrong,” the DeSantis declared. “These Soros district attorneys are a menace to society and I’m just glad that I’m the only governor in the country who’s actually removed one from office during my tenure.

DeSantis told reporters that he would not be involved in a “manufactured political circus” regarding the possible extradition of Trump from Florida to New York.

Bragg “is trying to do a political spectacle. He’s trying to virtue signal for his base. I’ve got real issues I’ve got to deal with in the state of Florida,” DeSantis explained.

“I’ve got to spend my time on issues that actually matter to people. I can’t spend my time worrying about things of that nature, so we’re not going to be involved in it in any way. I’m fighting for Floridians and I’m fighting back against Biden,” the governor added. “That’s what I do every single day.”

Well, you can’t say fairer than that, to quote the timeless wisdom of one Hamfast Gamgee.

Bold above mine, for reasons which should be fairly obvious. Since the DeSantis statement and the way it plunged the OnlyTrumpers into a fit of the screaming fantods for whatever reason was the topic of the day’s post over there, I could’ve easily appended this to the earlier Eyrie post. But it seemed like a better idea to put it out here instead, so that’s what I did.

The Gov’s remark about not being able to speak to the hush money allegations came across to me more like a bit of self-deprecating humor than anything else: Hey, I’ve never been a billionaire playboy-type myself, nor will I ever be mistaken for some kind of dashing, daring ladies’ man either, so how the hell would I know anything about screwing hot porno-chicks and then paying them to keep their mouths shut about it? Something along those lines, I think.

But who knows? For those who sincerely want to believe Trump is their knight in shining armor, riding in on a snorting white war-horse to save them from Whatever, the Last Best Hope for all that’s Good and Decent, I guess it’s hard to refrain from seizing on just about anything at all as grounds for Outrageously Outraged OUTRAGE!!™ I never did see him that way my own self, so I couldn’t really say, and would never bother trying to.

The FAFO Chronicles

AZGolfer posts another Righteous Shoot.

Another dead goblin, as DuToit always used to say. Sorry, not sorry; somehow, I just can’t find it in myself to consider that a bad thing, not by a long yard I can’t. Arrivederci, worthless fat bitch.

Did The Enemy just blink?

Doubtful, since ultimately, they’ll be back for another bite as sure as the sun rises. Nonetheless, as you’ve all no doubt heard by now, there were indeed some seriously, umm, interesting developments yesterday and today in the ongoing persecution of President Donald J Trump.

Hold Everything: Now Trump Will Likely NOT Be Arrested, at Least on Tuesday
Donald Trump announced on Saturday morning that he would be arrested on Tuesday, and the nation has been agog at the prospect of the Leftist establishment crossing the rubicon of arresting its principal opponent on flimsy charges and demonstrating before the entire world that the American republic is now the American banana republic, in which foes of the regime can expect the full weight of corrupt government authority pushing back against them for daring to dissent.

But now it turns out that the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has Trump in its sights, just may be stepping back from the brink: Business Insider reported Saturday night that Trump’s indictment is “on hold” until one more witness testifies Monday afternoon.

That’s about all that has come to light, as the relevant authorities are being quite closemouthed about this whole thing. Insider says that “a source with knowledge of the investigation” told them on Saturday night “there is one more witness.” The indictment is apparently not a certainty until this witness testifies.

But who is this witness? The Insider’s source wouldn’t say, and so all that we’re told is that “a separate source, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, told Insider that the witness is not Allen Weisselberg, Trump’s former CFO, who is serving a five-month sentence for admittedly masterminding a payroll tax-dodge scheme at the Trump Organization.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, whose betrayal of his former client started this whole business about Trump having paid hush money to a porn star (which is what he might be arrested for, not any of the literally dozens of other crimes that Democrats have claimed he has committed over the last few years, up to and including trying to overthrow the government of the United States), “has told reporters he expected to be the grand jury’s final witness when he testified last Monday and Wednesday.” So whoever is slated to appear on Monday is a surprise witness.

Insider notes that the grand jury “could conceivably reach a vote” on whether or not actually to indict Trump for trying to buy a hooker’s silence “by the end of Monday’s three-hour session,” but that’s not likely to happen, as “experts” say that “there are several steps between the final testimony and the vote.”

More on the scumbag Cohen’s erstwhile colleague, who was to testify today.

BREAKING: Ex-Michael Cohen attorney set to testify MONDAY with new ‘exculpatory’ evidence that could VINDICATE Trump
Yeah about that Trump arrest? Guess what: a lawyer who worked for Michael Cohen has apparently contacted Trump’s current attorneys with information that he says is “exculpatory” in the puffed up case against Trump in New York.

Here’s more from the Washington Examiner:

A lawyer who once worked for Michael Cohen is reportedly expected to testify Monday before a Manhattan grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump.

Robert Costello is expected to deliver testimony following a request from Trump’s lawyers as prosecutors weigh possible criminal charges against the former president, the Wall Street Journal reported. Costello gave advice to Cohn during an FBI raid on his home and office back in 2018. Prosecutors have also requested Cohen remain available Monday.

Costello’s testimony is significant because he previously recounted that Cohen told him that he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels in order to protect Melania Trump and that Cohen sought a pardon from Trump, per the Wall Street Journal. Cohen has already waived the attorney-client privilege with Costello.

“already waived the attorney-client privilege”

Uh-oh, buddy. That’s gonna bite you right in the butt, dummy, lol. Oh and by the way, Costello was also an attorney for Steve Bannon at some point. Not sure what that has to do with anything but it’s interesting.

Gonna be a very interesting week all over, y’all.

It would seem so, yeah. Back over to Spencer for the sobering last word.

The Left’s reaction to Donald Trump’s political career has from the beginning been a classic case of a conviction in search of a crime. Charging their foes with bogus crimes is a venerable and tested Leftist tactic, going back to Stalin’s trials of his former Bolshevik comrades, whom he forced to confess to various fabricated charges of subversion in order to justify his executing them and consolidating his power as an unquestioned autocrat.

In the U.S., the Democrats enjoyed tremendous gains in both houses of Congress and won the presidency on the strength of Watergate, and they’ve never forgotten that lesson; in fact, tarring their opponents as criminals on bogus charges has become a cornerstone of their political strategy. And that is a prelude to treating them like actual criminals, complete with arrests, handcuffs, and perp walks. Whether or not it comes Tuesday, it’s coming.

Yep, count on it. I repeat: as sure as the sun rises. It’s so for Trump, it’s so for Trump’s family, and it’ll be so for any and every other nonconformist, pro-American dissident with the temerity to defy the D卐M☭CRATs and run for Prexy, let alone somehow find a way to overcome the ironclad Margin Of Fraud and win.

I do hope Ron DeSantis is watching all this very carefully, and bearing closely in mind that it’s exactly what will be done to him too should he accede to the intense pressure he’s getting from the Left, the NeverTrumpTards, and the other Vichy GOPe shitstains to run for the useless show-office. He’s perfectly within his rights to do so if he likes, and there’s not a thing wrong with that, I still maintain. But he’d be a damned fool to, if you ask me.

Update! For my money, JJ has the right of it. Mostly.

While Spencer’s observation is certainly true, the state of the nation today is markedly different from the Watergate era. Divided as we were even back then, there was still a level of trust in the institutions and traditions of the American governmental and legal system, as well as in the media, and even with diametrically opposed views on the issues of the day, still at least a modicum of respect for those with whom you disagree and the commonality of nation and heritage. Today, that has all but vanished on every front. In fact, an overwhelming percentage of the American people believe that we have a two-tiered justice system that favors those in power and the Left in general.

Whatever the calculus of the junta in going after Trump, they will only succeed in making him into a martyr. I have not been sanguine about a Trump candidacy in 2024. My biggest negatives are his age, his puerile name-calling against DeSantis, and most distressing, his making the theft of the 2020 election the central pillar of his campaign. He’s had some flashes of brilliance with his trade package and his intent to go to war against woke-ism in all its forms. But so far, his negatives outweigh the positives. YMMV, but I think a lot of people are feeling this way about him.

But that said, I have always thought of him as the leader of a movement that goes way beyond mere electoral politics. In fact, it’s kind of strange to read Miranda Devine’s analysis insofar as the Democrat calculus of preferring to face Trump rather than DeSantis for fear of him wiping the floor with Biden or whoever, since they regard Trump to be a pushover. Considering they have all but institutionalized election fraud in the key swing districts and states they stole in 2020, what does it matter who is running?

For me, this has less if anything to do with who the candidate is in 2024 than mere distraction and above all else, retribution against Donald Trump. That’s what all this is about.

Love him, hate him or whatever, Donald Trump intentionally or not started a movement that exposed the hypocrisy and corruption that has now completely subsumed our government and much of our society. Whatever they do to him or try to do to him, what he started will not be stopped. There is no going back now to the way things were. A lot of it was a lie, and there are powerful forces and more alarmingly a great deal of the citizenry duped into or otherwise consciously supporting the transformation of America into a socialist disaster to be served up to the Davos-Brussels-Beijing Axis, or perhaps a resurgent Islamic global caliphate.

So, go ahead and slap the cuffs on Trump. It worked so well for the British when they did it to Gandhi, didn’t it?

As bitterly cynical as I’ve become nowadays, I wouldn’t expect any such felicitous outcome in Trump’s case, if only because present-day Amerikans are much too soft, too spoiled, and too cozened to display the kind of balls-to-the-wall courage Gandhi and his legions of followers did back then.

On the other hand, though, it’s become near-axiomatic among serious (ie, non-shitlib) students of history that Gandhi was fortunate in that his British opposition was civilized and reserved, and exercised forbearance and restraint—well, eventually, at any rate, after some pretty brutal beatings and mass imprisonment—in dealing with the movement Gandhi represented.

Had it been, say, Stalin instead, things might well have worked out very, very differently for Mohandas K Gandhi and his campaign for Indian national independence. And our present-day dictatorship bears a much closer resemblance to Stalin’s own than it does British PM Ramsay MacDonald’s and Chancellor Neville Chamberlain’s colonially-exhausted, war-weary nation circa the late 20s/early 30s.

A most pleasant rumination

A modest proposal from Aesop.

We tried to assimilate them, but there are some things that cannot be accomplished solely with good intentions.

If populating the Joint Chiefs, Congress, SCOTUS, and the White House aren’t enough for them, admit defeat, and end the experiment forever. Cut the bullsh*t, and end White Guilt.

Ship the entire race back to Africa. Lock, stock, and barrel. Not voluntary: 100% mandatory. Eliminate the entire category in the U.S. Ban any further immigration of same, in perpetuity. (It isn’t like they could hide anywhere in plain sight, is it?)

If you’re Black, You Go Back.

And the halves, quatroons, eighths, and sixteenths left behind can worry about either flying right once and for all, or seeing the bar for permanent deportation lowered until the problem resolves.

No more prison. Just a boat ride out, for good. First class, all travel expenses paid, no returns ever, with whatever they could carry off in their baggage. Don’t harm a hair on their heads, just shuffle them up the gangplank, and shove off with the lot. Same way they got here, albeit under better accommodations for the long-overdue return journey.

Convicts and jailbirds too. Free at last! Over there. Reparations: Paid in full. Game Over, man.

Imagine waking up in a country without Whoopi Goldberg, Stacy Abrams, or Maxine Waters. Ever again.

A most edifying thought, though of course it’ll never happen.

Seeing as how Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Elmore James have all departed this mortal coil long since, it would have to go down in the “Win” column overall. The idea is nothing new; ironically, it was Lincoln’s original suggestion for dealing with the post-slavery surplus Neegrow problem, going all the way back to the 1850s.

I can’t say I’d miss the three oxygen-thieving parasites Aesop mentions, not for even one moment. Ditto for the NFL, the NBA, and MLB as well. It’s even possible that we might get Chicongo and Detroit back as beautiful, livable cities again, and the potential improvement in Atlanta is well beyond the ability of humans to calculate—even Einstein couldn’t manage such a feat.

Admittedly, losing Chris Rock and Dave Chappell would be a bit of a wrench, at least for me. Then again, we could probably still access their shows via internet live-stream, so there’s that.

Miss Lindsey defends Trump

Standing up tall and proud, vowing he’ll “get to the bottom of this. No, really, for sure this time. I mean it. Dammit, stop laughing, you guys!”

Graham slams soft-on-crime Bragg for targeting Trump while New Yorkers ‘lucky’ not to get ‘mugged’
Graham said Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is doing more to help Trump get elected ‘than any single person in America today’

And just like clockwork, another Blue Ribbon Panel appears.

Like Graham, other Republican lawmakers are also pushing back against the possible Trump indictment, including House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who said Saturday he is directing House committees to investigate whether federal funds are being used for “politically motivated prosecutions” like that of Trump.

“Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump,” McCarthy wrote in a tweet.

OHHH yeah, they’re gonna SPRING INTO ACTION to investigate this bare-naked, purely-partisan criminality. THIS! SHALL! NOT! STAND!!!

Ho fucking hum, with a cherry on top. “Here we go again” is right on the money, but not in the way McCarthy intends. Hope somebody in Trump’s retinue is intelligent enough to get cracking most ricky-tick on having his boss sized and fitted for the orange jumpsuit he’ll soon be wearing.

Update! Francis nails it.

President Trump had better watch his back. He’s well guarded, I know, but as Michael Corleone said to Tom Hagen near to the end of The Godfather Part II, “If anything in this life is certain, if history has taught us anything, it’s that you can kill anyone.” The Left would be desperate enough to try anything. Bombs? Plausible. An enfilade with machine guns? Not beyond the bounds of possibility. Throwing waves of bodies at the president-elect, spending lives by the hundreds just to get one close enough to Trump to snuff him out? I can imagine that, too.

Do not imagine that any degree of carnage would strike the Left’s planning cadre as unthinkable. Trump restored to the Oval Office is their worst nightmare. Moreover, in this they have allies throughout the Republican Establishment. Trump threatens to upset their applecarts, too.

But there’s this, too: Were anyone to succeed in assassinating President Trump, it would herald the end of all law and all order in these United States. The event would dissolve all obfuscation about the bipartisan political Establishment and the Deep State. No level of government would be able to assert and enforce its authority in the chaos that would follow. Electric Boogaloo? Try Nuclear Tarantella.

Stay tuned.

We can but hope.

Auguring in

Trump underestimated the nature and scope of the evil he’s up against, severely, and now they’re finally going to get him.

Trump’s Attorney: Trump Will Surrender To Authorities If He Is Criminally Charged
Former President Donald Trump will surrender to law enforcement officials if he is indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in connection with a $130,000 hush money payment he allegedly made to porn actress Stormy Daniels, according to Trump’s attorney.

The remarks from attorney Joseph Tacopina come in response to a report from NBC News that said federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies were analyzing security assessments and making plans to prepare for the possibility that Trump will be indicted as early as next week.

Fox News reported that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office asked for a meeting with law enforcement officials to “discuss logistics for some time next week, which would mean that they are anticipating an indictment next week.”

Tacopina told the New York Daily News that if Trump is indicted, “there won’t be a standoff at Mar-a-Lago with Secret Service and the Manhattan DA’s office.”

Tacopina later told CNBC that they “will follow normal procedures if it gets to that point.”

“Normal procedures”—BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Thou fool. From Trump’s Truth Social feed, via Barry (no direct link, since I don’t have an account there and have no interest in signing up for one, so the link is to Barry’s comment—thanks, Bar!):

OUR NATION IS NOW THIRD WORLD & DYING. THE AMERICAN DREAM IS DEAD! THE RADICAL LEFT ANARCHISTS HAVE STOLLEN OUR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, AND WITH IT, THE HEART OF OUR OUR COUNTRY. AMERICAN PATRIOTS ARE BEING ARRESTED & HELD IN CAPTIVITY LIKE ANIMALS, WHILE CRIMINALS & LEFTIST THUGS ARE ALLOWED TO ROAM THE STREETS, KILLING & BURNING WITH NO RETRIBUTION. MILLIONS ARE FLOODING THROUGH OUR OPEN BOARDERS, MANY FROM PRISONS & MENTAL INSTITUTIONS. CRIME & INFLATION ARE DESTROYING OUR VERY WAY OF LIFE…

Page 2: NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!

Which, without violence, is simply not on the table. When Trump goes to prison, I don’t expect him to last very long before somebody Epsteins his ass. Next, Melania, Don Jr, and the rest of his family need to be continually checking six, because you can be sure they’re next in line for the exact same treatment from the Überstadt.

And then…well, we shall see what we shall see, I suppose.

The evidence is all in, a surfeit and then some of it, the case closed once and for all. This is yet another reminder that, just as I’ve said over and over: clearly, they do NOT fear us. They need to be reminded—forcefully, explicitly, and beyond all doubt or debate—that there might still be good reason for them to. Until such time, it’s only going to get worse.

Update! Another reminder, for Trump, his family, and pretty much everybody else.

‘Nuff said.

Updated update! Dave Renegade sums it up quite well.

The lines are still being drawn in terms of a civil war but only as action is concerned. The lines defined by the division sowed by the other side to weaken and take over the Republic are entrenched. Once the first shot is fired, the people who have been marginalized, have had their country, rights and Liberty stolen, and their health attacked will not stop. This is not a call to action; this is just reality. How do you feel about this illegal government and out of control justice system? This is no longer a rhetorical question.

We may not be able to stop what is coming but we surely do not have to submit to an evil tyranny.

Amen to that, brother.

Wheels within wheels within wheels update! Might this be what it’s really all about? Twitchy says it’s right on cue.

Did somebody in the Biden network decide to give Rob Reiner and the anti-Trump Resistance an early Christmas gift? Also this could indicate that Biden and the “justice” department (with help from New York libs) really want Trump to be the GOP nominee. However, the Left’s narrative has gone from “Trump committed treason by colluding with Russia to steal a U.S. election” to “OK, maybe not but he did pay some hush money to a former adult film star.”

Could be, could be. The one thing we know with absolute certainty about these filthy swine is that we can put nothing whatsoever past them. There is no trifling, petty skullduggery to which they will not stoop, no low too low for them to sink to. Anyone still kidding themselves that, “Oh, they wouldn’t DARE do this or that,” for any conceivable value of “this or that,” is hereby formally urged to just wake the fuck up already.

The wheels grind inexorably on

I seriously doubt they have much if anything to worry about, but it’d be nice to think they’re right to be worried just the same.

BREAKING: Federal Law Enforcement Preparing for Mass Chaos With Potential Trump Indictment
Five senior officials have disclosed that local, state, and federal law enforcement and security agencies are getting ready for a potential indictment of former President Donald Trump as soon as next week. The agencies are in talks about potential security measures for the Manhattan Criminal Court and its surroundings, should Trump be charged in relation to a supposed hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels.

The magnitude of agencies involved includes the NYPD, New York State Court Officers, the U.S. Secret Service, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. The scale of preparation highlights the gravity of the situation and the chaotic impact that an indictment could have on Trump’s 2024 campaign and legal future.

From a legal standpoint, an indictment would require Trump to mount a defense and could potentially result in a conviction and sentencing. The investigation into the alleged hush money payment has been ongoing for years, and an indictment would signal that prosecutors believe they have sufficient evidence to bring charges.

The preparations being made by law enforcement agencies suggest that they are taking the possibility of an indictment seriously. However, it is important to note that no charges have been filed yet, and the conversations and planning are currently precautionary in nature.

Trump, the dope, should’ve taken me up on what I’ve been suggesting since the fraudulent immaculation of “Joe Biden” as pRetend “pResident” in 2021, to wit:

  • Buy yourself a small, uninhabited island in the Caribbean someplace, assuming you don’t already own several
  • Lay undersea minefields around said island’s perimenter
  • Post a reinforced company of armed security—full combat loadout, to include SAW-gunners and grenades—on all beach approaches, with blanket lethal-force authorization should a single living soul so much as even look like they’re thinking about trying to wade ashore
  • Establish concealed .50 cal machine-gun emplacements and light-mortar positions well inshore, with interlocking fields of fire outside the shoreline, tasked with interdiction of attempted incursion via small boat and/or submarine, to be maintained at ready-5 alert status, deployable as and when
  • At least one (1) fully-qualified sniper team situated on whatever higher ground might be available? Gedouddaheah with your silly fookin’ questions, eedjit—of COURSE!!
  • Once total, unbreachable security has been ensured, put on the swim trunks and some sunscreen, drag out a comfy beach chair, and just lie back in the sun sipping on a frozen piña colada whilst enjoying the succulent view of your gorgeous, hot-ass wife frolicking happily in the surf wearing the skimpiest imaginable thong bikini. Or, better yet, nothing whatsoever.

Hey, beats rockin’ orange all hollow, every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Prithee tell, what sound-minded soul, be he ever so humble, could possibly blame Trump if he did? If it was me, I’da done it a looonnnnng damned time ago—in fact, I’da had my bags pre-packed and skedaddled for Andrews the moment “Deep State” Pence stabbed the whole country in the back, fiercely buggered Real Americans without the courtesy of either lube or a reach-around, wantonly defied the very concept of “consent of the governed,” and shat all over his sworn oath to the Constitution.

On TeeWee, no less, right out in front of God and everybody, the shameless, despicable fucksicle.

Even if they don’t manage to get Trump thrown in the jug this go-round, The Power at all levels will assuredly be persecuting him for the rest of his days, if only to make an example of him pour discourager les autres. And that’s provided they don’t just have him assassinated outright, something I’ve been expecting with dread since his unlooked-for victory over “Cankles” Clinton (a/k/a She Who Will NEVER Be President™) in 2016.

Trump’s impertubable but misguided faith in the US, its people, and its rotten-to-the-core institutions—the “justice” system most especially—is gonna be the undoing of the poor man. In fact, it already was, and he just doesn’t seem to realize it quite yet. Or can’t admit it to himself, maybe. Somebody close to him needs to whisper in his ear that the country he harbors such strong patriotic sentiment for went tits-up and extinct a goodish while back.

I’d love to be proved wrong— that, following Trump’s indictment, show trial, conviction, and perp-walk out of the kangaroo-courtroom, the ensuing retaliatory uprising would be swift, sweeping, and utterly merciless. I’d love to be, but I can’t say I think it at all likely. We Duh Sheepul, even the most zealous of OnlyTrump partisans, have been all-too-thoroughly cowed at this late date. If that wasn’t so, a righteously furious horde of Real Americans would have descended on DC to spring the unjustly-Gulagged J6 dissidents from their durance vile already.

It’s often been said, regarding the slim-to-none chances of honest-to-God rebellion and revolt against burgeoning FederalGovCo tyranny, that nobody wants to be the first to die. Nor is there any discernible interest out there in becoming a martyr for a doomed-in-advance Lost Cause, let alone for any specific individual. With Trump Fatigue settling in upon an increasing number of us, that would doubtless hold true even for The Donald himself.

Such reticence among a great preponderance of Normals may be thought of as ignoble, even downright dishonorable, particularly in comparison with the courageous, selfless sacrifices unflinchingly proffered by the sainted Founders we claim to reverence. That said, it’s by no means unreasonable, at least to a degree understandable, even. Although it does make for some mighty unpleasant contemplation of what it all bodes going forward—not just for President Trump, but for all of us.

Precogging the Empire Of Lies

Mark Judge descried which way the ill wind was blowing many moons ago.

How My 1997 Conversation with Tucker Carlson Predicted the Future
In March 1997, I had a conversation with Tucker Carlson that would predict the future. Specifically it predicted liberalism’s current empire of lies.

Carlson has recently expressed amazement at how bad the public lies have gotten. Last week on The Glenn Beck Show, Carlson revealed footage from the Capitol January 6 that undercut our Principalities and Powers’ official narrative. Especially its claims about Jacob Chansley (the wacky guy in the Viking helmet) who was visibly nonviolent, but nonetheless got four years in prison.

Carlson sounded amazed and a bit dejected. His father had worked in government. Carlson grew up in Washington. He was used to political battles, but not such outright lying. “I know deception when I see it,” he says, “it’s demonstrable and its proven. They’re all lying.” It turns out, Tucker concluded. “Liz Cheney is affirmatively a liar.”

I thought back to a conversation I had with Carlson in 1997 that foresaw this moment. That year I attended CPAC, the annual conservative conference held at the Sheraton in Washington, D.C. I was writing a story for the New York Press.

Ahh, the New York Press—a fine old NYC weekly I used to peruse each and every week, founded by Russ Smith as a conservative competitor for the Village Voice, which had by then lapsed into complete batshit lunacy. Good times, good times. I don’t really remember him, but it figures Judge woulda worked there. Onwards.

After the conference I called Tucker Carlson, who was then a writer for the Weekly Standard. I was friendly with Carlson, wanted to get his take on conservatism, and where it was moving in the Clinton years.

Our conversation had barely started when he steered it to CPAC. ”Hey, were you at CPAC?” he asked me. I said I had been. “Did you see any drugs or heavy drinking and sexual assaults?”

I had no idea what he was talking about. I hadn’t seen anything but conservatives giving speeches and hawking their books. Tucker pointed me to an article in The New Republic. In it, a journalist described how a group of four young male conservatives conspired to sexually assault a woman. It deserves quoting at length, as twenty years later, similar lies would be resurrected to try and destroy me. It also foreshadows the contagion of lies that has infected our elites, from government to media.

“Infected”—now THAT’S putting it mildly, in my estimation. Read on for deets of the infuriating and manifestly, laughably false TNR smear job, indeed a grim harbinger of the shape of things to come, which triggered Tucker’s and Judge’s foray into the mystic realm of pure precognition. Unsurprisingly, it was penned by one Stephen Glass, who would go on to humiliating, career-destroying ignominy as a chronic fabulist—which, again, is putting it mildly, and is far more kind than the miserable cur deserves.

Fittingly, Glass is no longer employed as a Jurassic-Media “journalist—he’s a goddamned half-a-lawyer now. Which is not to say that his extended career as a shameless liar didn’t have any impact at all, mind.

Stephen Glass’s tactics are now mainstream. They were, and are, the official playbook of our elites, from the Democrats to NeverTrump zealots. People in power will tell such lies until they get caught, and even after that. One media orc who in 2018 said that he saw me buying and selling cocaine in the 1980s — a lie — just got his head handed to him by Russell Brand, and then by good guy and conservative Tom Elliot. Faced with a cavalcade of his own lies by Elliot, this dunderhead will shake it off and be back to warn us all about the evil Ron DeSantis.

This is why it is so absolutely crucial that regular people simply not engage with this new American Stasi. Imagine the worst, most unscrupulous and malicious liar you’ve ever known in your life. That person is the reporter who just showed up at your door. The assumption that leftist politicians and the media are reflections of Satan himself, the father of lies, is not an exaggeration.

Nope, nor is it hyperbole, nor any kind of coincidence. What it is, is entirely factual, the plain and simple truth.

Eyrie update

My new Substack post—“’15 days’? America is no longer America because Americans are no longer Americans; the latter is the requisite precondition for the former, without which etc etc. This, too, is neither happenstance nor coincidence. Fed UP

Dutch farmers are showing the world the way.

The Dutch farmers just landed a major blow to the wokies with an election win that’s made them the biggest party in their senate

The party of the Dutch farmers, formed only in 2019, has just taken control of the Netherlands’ parliament in a shocking election that has probably sent Klaus Schwab crying to his room.

Here’s how the alt-right domestic extremists over at Fox put it:

“This isn’t normal, but actually it is! It’s all normal citizens who voted,” party leader Caroline van der Plas said. “But today people have shown they can’t stay at home any longer. We won’t be ignored anymore.”

The Farmer-Citizen Movement Party, known as BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) in Dutch, built its victory on the back of protests against the government’s environmental policies, which aim to slash nitrogen emissions by dramatically cutting back on livestock numbers and buying out thousands of farms. Nitrate and ammonia pollution significantly impacts biodiversity, particularly air and water quality.

The Dutch Senate is the upper house of its legislature and has 75 members. The farmers just took a huge portion of that.

In fact, they have more seats than Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s VVD party. His entire four-party coalition only has 24 seats.

(I know we’re used to two giant political teams here in America, but other countries have a bit healthier way of organizing parties).

Said a mouthful there, bub. Here in Amerika v2.0, we can only boast of just the one, both notional wings of which are supremely disinterested in representing anybody but their own crooked, greedy selves. Check out this heartwarming Tweet.

Now THAT’S what I call a fucking peaceful protest. Of course, we all oughta know by now that, ultimately, “peaceful” isn’t going to be sufficient to dissuade The Enemy from his campaign of serial predation on us—here, there, or anywhere else. But still, it’s not a bad start, right?

Greta Thunberg Threatens to Hold Her Breath Until Evil World Leaders Capitulate To Her Demands

MFNS – After the utter embarrassment of the uncovering of a recent deleted 2018 tweet predicting the world could no longer be saved in 2023, the provocative pig tailed propaganda purveyor of climate panic, far left activist Greta Thunberg, has put the world on notice that she intends to hold her breath until her climate change demands to stop using fossil fuels are met she told the press.

“I will hold my breath until you evil rat bastards capitulate to my demands. Failure to do so will result in my demise as well as mother Earth and you will burn in HELL!

Do You Understand!!??”

For a little background:

In June of 2018, the high school dropout tweeted a quote from an article predicting, “climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.” In other words, the point of no return is 2023. In other words, nothing can be done if we do not stop using fossil fuels by 2023.

Well, if nothing can be done, that means the entire environmental movement might as well pack up and go home.

This is the 54th prediction these enviro-fascists have had to take back. 54 dire predictions about the environment, and not one of them—not one!—has come true. The environmental movement is 0-54. We should all eat bugs, give up our air conditioning, and turn to socialism due to climate change (which is a hoax) because this 0-54 group says so?? What’s more, should we take this weird, little scold who didn’t finish high school seriously? – John Nolte

Greta took no questions as she then excused herself to rush to meet her reservations for a first class, climate controlled private compartment on mass transit powered by fossil fuel produced electricity to continue the fourth year of her ‘How Dare You’ tour.

The Nolte column cited above includes, purely in the interest of fair play, this non-comprehensive list:

Fauci follies

Watch out, his lips are moving again.

LOL: Fauci Claims GOP Attacking Him Because of His Honesty

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former NIAID Director, recently appeared on the poorly watched NewNation show “Cuomo,” which is hosted by disgraced former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo. There, Fauci laughably claimed that the reason behind Republican attacks directed at him is his commitment to being truthful with the American public.

In response to the truly hard-hitting question from Chris Cuomo, “Why do you think that you are the target of so many accusations about covering up the source of COVID-19?” Fauci claimed it was all politically motivated.

“I think it is pretty clear it’s politically motivated. I don’t know what they’re talking about, ‘covering up.’ I have been totally transparent throughout,” he insisted.

“I’m not sure what they’re talking about when they say cover-up. I mean, it’s no secret that almost all of the Republican politicians that were running and those who are running for the first time had interspersed in their campaigns ‘Fire Fauci,’ ‘Indict Fauci,’ ‘Hang Fauci.’ It’s a political thing. I don’t know why it started, but I’m sure it was that back during the Trump administration,” he said.

But, of course, he wasn’t done.

“In order to preserve my own personal integrity and fulfill my responsibility to the American public, I had to tell the truth when the president was saying things that were just not true. Things like hydroxychloroquine is a cure. It’s going to fix everything.

This, of course, is not what Trump said. In the early weeks of the pandemic, he referenced a study that showed that hydroxychloroquine showed promise as a therapeutic — which has been repeatedly proven correct by hundreds of studies that showed dramatic reductions in hospitalizations and mortality with hydroxychloroquine being used as an early treatment. In July of 2020, a Yale epidemiologist insisted that hydroxychloroquine was the key to defeating COVID.

But, Fauci wants us to believe that he’s the one who was committed to the truth.

It’s a measure of this poisonous dwarf that he simply can’t resist putting himself on public display, elbowing his way into the limelight any way he can to gratify his monstrous ego. It’s all too obvious he simply can’t help himself; it would be pathetic, if it wasn’t so contemptible. It’s a shame and a disgrace that he’ll never get what he truly deserves for his innumerable crimes, as opposed to what he thinks he deserves.

Socialist gets schooled

You keep using that word, sharing. I do not think it means what you think that it means.

“Sharing,” mind, at the muzzle of a government gun—with the nomenklatura skimming all the cream right off the top for themselves and their fellows in the privileged “elite” class, and none of the downtrodden, oppressed serf class will get anything but the very dregs, far less what they truly need. Where all is rationed, regulated, and forcibly redistributed into needless artificial scarcity, and there is never enough of anything to go around. Where creativity and the innate human drive to excel and to better oneself is outlawed by soulless bureaucrats whose greed is only matched by their love of cruelty to those they consider their inferiors.

Bottom line: after a century and a half of failure, moribund economies, and over a hundred million deaths (that we know of), anybody who still clings to socialism is nothing but a goddamned idiot.

Majority of Voters Want Buttigieg to Resign

A Rasmussen Reports poll released Monday found that most American voters want Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to resign after the East Palestine, Ohio disaster. Buttigieg received criticism after telling a reporter he was on ‘personal time’ when asked when he would visit East Palestine. The Biden official eventually visited East Palestine, Ohio, albeit one day after former President Donald Trump.

51 percent of registered voters answered yes when asked, “Should Buttigieg resign as a result of how the Transportation Department handled the recent train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio?”

The Rasmussen Reports poll data showed 68 percent of Republicans, 51 percent of Independents, and 35 percent of Democrats believe that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg should resign due to his handling of the East Palestine Ohio Train derailment.

In response to the poll, Congresswomen Lauren Boebert (R-CO) endorsed the sentiment in a tweet. “51% of Americans want Pete Buttigieg to resign from his position as Transportation Secretary. Proud to be cosponsoring a resolution calling for exactly that. Pete’s incompetence & disregard for the American people has no place in our government,” Boebert wrote.

“No place”? In OUR government? With all due respect, you must be joking, ma’am. Incompetence and disregard for We Duh Peepul is the very bones and sinew of FederalGovCo—it’s what the goobermint is, what it does. Nowadays, those things amount to a de facto job requirement, really.

Maybe Ms Boebert has her heart in the right place with this toothless, ineffectual resolution, I couldn’t say. Maybe not. But if she sincerely expects it to amount to anything more than the usual DC smoke-and-mirrors dumbshow, much ado about nothing whatsoever, then she’s delusional, and is about to be extremely disappointed with the results she gets: zip, zero, nada, a big fat stinking zero.

Hot gas eructation

Tucker sets war-happy chickenhawk Miss Lindsey Graham straight on some things.

Tucker Carlson Rips Lindsey Graham’s Suggestion To ‘Attack’ Russian Jets That Threaten US Assets

Fox News host Tucker Carlson called out Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham’s response to the downing of a U.S. drone over the Black Sea.

“What would Ronald Reagan do? Oh, good question, Senator Graham,” Carlson, a co-founder of the Daily Caller News Foundation said after playing a clip of the senator demanding that Russian jets be shot down. “Ronald Reagan’s two-term presidency was notable for the fact that he did not declare war on the Russian air force and therefore the United States did not go to war with Russia and millions of lives were saved as a result. That’s not a small thing.”

A Russian jet collided with an Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drone Tuesday following a series of maneuvers, including dumping jet fuel on the drone. The drone crashed into the Black Sea, where Biden administration officials said measures were taken to “minimize” Russia’s ability to exploit the drone if it were to be recovered.

Graham said Tuesday that the U.S. should shoot down any Russian warplane that threatens American assets, Newsweek reported. “If you ever get near another U.S. asset flying in international waters, your airplane will be shot down,” he said.

“Lindsey Graham is telling us we have to attack the Russian air force. Why now? Well, let’s see. On Monday there was a major development in the 2024 presidential race. We sent questions to likely Republican candidates and asked them where they stood on the war in Ukraine,” Carlson said, referencing questions he sent to a number of candidates and potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.

“We fully expected that most of them would agree with Lindsey Graham and virtually every office holder in Washington, D.C.,” Carlson continued. “But, no, that’s not what happened. In fact, the opposite happened. Virtually, without exception, every Republican potential hopeful from Donald Trump, long on the record, to Ron DeSantis, to Greg Abbott, Kristi Noem, Vivek Ramaswamy and others have turned against the idea of a hot war with Russia.”

Carlson noted that Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, who has not officially declared his candidacy, described the war in Ukraine as a “territorial dispute” between that country and Russia. Carlson also noted that liberal media outlets criticized the Republican candidates and potential candidates for their position.

“How can you defend democracy and push a war that the population doesn’t want? You can’t. So they’re panicking,” Carlson said. “Their response is really interesting. Instead of responding with arguments or reason, convincing Americans that war with Russia will benefit them in some way, they’re just pushing ahead for that war with Russia.”

Graham did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the DCNF.

No, I just bet he didn’t. Then again, I seriously doubt Putin suffers from very many sleepless nights worrying about what the faux-conservative Vichy-GOPe blowhard might have to say about much of anything, really. Graham has always been all hat, no cattle, expelling enough hot air to fog every window in the Pentagon on a regular basis ever since he took up his lifetime sinecure in Mordor On The Potomac. And then there’s this:

Seven Republican Senators voted on Wednesday to confirm Eric Garcetti, President Joe Biden’s nominee for ambassador to India and former Los Angeles mayor, despite his ties to individuals belonging to alleged Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence front groups.

Republican Sens. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Steve Daines of Montana, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, Roger Marshall of Kansas and Todd Young of Indiana voted to confirm Garcetti following a delay of over 20 months arising from allegations that, while in office, he helped cover up sexual assaults committed by his former aide, Rick Jacobs. The confirmation vote, 52-42, also comes just days after the Daily Caller News Foundation revealed that a mayoral fund set up by Garcetti accepted over $1 million in donations from individuals who belong to alleged CCP influence and intelligence fronts.

“We need an ambassador to India,” Graham told the DCNF.

Oh, very badly we do—so very badly that hey, why not a goddamned CCP spy-adjacent plant then, eh, Miss Graham?

What a useless fucking jackwagon.
