The paramount importance of proper product placement

Methinks a little judicious shelf-rearrangement might be in order here.

I can’t help but suspect that, somewhere out there, there’s a nonbinary, gender-befuddled Minor Attracted Pedophile™ Wal Mart store manager having him/her/itself a good snicker over this.

A good and decent man

That would be the greatest Supreme Court justice we ever have had, the completely admirable and honorable Clarence Thomas.

“Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.” — Matthew 6:2

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas embodies this verse well, as it has recently come to light that he has been quietly placing Christmas wreaths on the graves of American veterans for years.

D.C. journalist and author Emily Miller spotted Thomas volunteering for Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday, as seen in a photo she posted to Twitter.

Wreaths Across America is a charitable organization that mobilizes thousands of volunteers every year to put wreaths on the graves of veterans and fallen soldiers.

This isn’t the first year Thomas has volunteered at Arlington Cemetery, either.

The justice can be seen in a candid photo from 2013 helping to clean up the cemetery after the Christmas season on a rainy January day.

The un-self-conscious nature of the photo stands in stark contrast to the contrived photo-ops that Democratic politicians conjure up for their own selfish ambitions and narratives.

Which, there have been plenty of those, to the surprise of no sane and aware person. Exhibit A:

Democratic New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim shamelessly attempted to gain clout from the Capitol incursion by cleaning up the “carnage,” as described by one Facebook user — the carnage being a few water bottles.

A photo captured Kim “experiencing the horror firsthand,” while everything around him looked hilariously pristine.

The photo-op photo in question:

The horror, the horror
Nope, doesn’t look staged at all to me

The thing to remember here is, as the author reiterates in his closing ‘graphs, Justice Thomas has been going about his good works on the QT rather than making sure plenty of Enemedia cameras were on hand to publicize him for it. It’s exactly as the last line says:

We could use more people in Washington demonstrating a spirit of humility and gratitude rather than selfish ambition.

Couldn’t we, though. Couldn’t we just.

Of tautology, coercion, mafiosi, and…bad drivers?

Peters pulls all that together for us.

If they can’t get you “vaccinated” via a mandate, maybe they’ll be able to get you using the mafia. The insurance mafia.

How?

By citing a “study” – you know, The Science – published by the American Journal of Medicine, that associates not taking whatever drugs the government/corporations order you to take with…a higher likelihood that you’ll wreck your car.

Fortune cites the study, which claims that the un-drugged (the proper term to use, as these drugs are not vaccines since vaccines prevent infection and stop transmissions – and these drugs do neither) are “72 percent more likely to be involved in a severe traffic crash in which at least one person was transported to the hospital” than those who have been drugged.

The premise of this claim is not, however, evidence that being un-drugged has a negative effect on driving competence. It is an oily assertion of correlation with not-following-the-rules (as regards traffic rules) and not following orders, as regards the taking of drugs.

“The authors (of the study) theorize that people who resist public health recommendations might also ‘neglect basic road safety guidelines.’ “

Meaning, they assert a causal link between “resist(ing) public health recommendations” and “neglec(ting) basic road safety guidelines.” It is as “scientific” a theory as the one that insisted others must wear a “mask” to “protect” those who are already wearing one.

Or two.

It presumes that both “public health recommendations” – which are no such thing, since the “recommendations” carried the de facto force of law – and “road safety guidelines” are correct, ipso facto.

In fact, the “public health recommendations” (sic) were entirely wrong – and it was therefore sensible to “resist” them.

“Masks” – and maintaining a space bubble around you six feet feet in radius – did nothing to “stop the spread” of anything. In fact, they spread alienation and fear. They helped to instill millions of cases of pathological hypochondria. The drugs all-but-forced on the population were not vaccines, though people were deliberately misled to believe they were. Those who just took them, just trusting them, are discovering their trust was abused. Those who didn’t just trust – who “resisted” the “recommendations” – have been proved right to have resisted them.

Man, no way could I not include that image, it’s just too perfect. Read it all, it’s one of Eric’s best yet.

Games of Empire

East is East and West is West, but contra Kipling, the twain are meeting like a motherfucker.

Two Global Empires Enslaving the World; It’s Now Or Never to Stop Them!
Like helpless creatures caught in an enormous vise, the life being squeezed out of them, people living in once-free constitutional democracies are being squeezed and crushed from two sides. Pressing on them from the one side is the Eastern Global Empire led by the Chinese Communist Party and on the other side is a broad array of Western global predatory individuals, institutions, and governments, making up the Western Global Empire. Their goal is to utterly crush individualism and personal freedom, and the sovereign nations that stand for political freedom. They seek to replace Western civilization and its freedoms with a totalitarian Global Empire “for the good of all.”

At first, the closing of the vise was so gradual, hardly anyone noticed. Those who did notice were dismissed as “conspiracy theorists.” But now the vise is closing at an escalating rate, and people can see and even feel the loss of their personal freedoms and the loss of their once-free nations. Many feel helpless and frightened.

A great deal of what seems self-destructive on the part of Western democracies reflects the overpowering control exerted over these governments and societies by the two global empires who are seeking to subvert and even demolish them. In this analysis, I am building on the basic concepts developed in our November 2021 book, COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey.

The Global Predators

In COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey, we described a coalition of conspiratorial predatory globalist individuals and entities that is destroying the self-determination and personal freedom of peoples throughout world while crushing the sovereignty of all constitutional republics. Their purpose is to demolish all opposition to a totalitarian global empire variously described as the Great Reset, the new global governance, the New World Order, and the elites. The predators can be roughly divided into the Eastern Global Empire and the Western Global Empire. Both are very actively seeking dominion over the world, while sometimes cooperating and sometimes competing in their efforts toward this goal.

The Western Global Empire

In America, COVID-19 brought to light how much our politics are now dominated by large institutions that have become increasingly globalist and predatory in nature, greatly to the detriment of the American people. They includes U.S. government agencies, such as HHS, NIH, FDA, CDC, DoD, and DoJ. U.S corporations, the educational establishment, the media and entertainment industries, and of central importance, the banking hegemony including the Fed and its worldwide banking interests, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) like the Rockefeller and Gates Foundations.

Some of the more obvious predators include wealthy individuals like Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, and George Soros. The multi-billionaires work through many complex institutional relationships including hegemonies such as the world wide banking and trade hegemony, and the military industrial complex, and the rapidly growing pharmaceutical-health complex.

The Western Global Empire also includes the European Union (EU) of 27 nations and NATO — globalist, anti-democratic, anti-nationalistic, and collectivistic bureaucracies who collaborate closely with Communist China and its minions in the United Nations and the World Health organization to build their global interests.

All these entities and individuals uniformly promote the combination of predatory progressivism and predatory capitalism with the collectivist thrust that increasingly dominates the U.S and other Western constitutional democracies and the European Union. Their global interests always transcend their national citizenship.

Ganging Up on Western Civilization

The Western Global Empire not only rejects most of Western Civilization, but it is also attempting to destroy it. It reviles individualism, except of course its own individualism. If individuals are free to pursue their own goals or to respond to God’s purpose for them, they will remain obstacles to a global takeover. Both empires are focused on destroying constitutional democracy because individual freedom and national sovereignty are the greatest blocks to globalism. Both empires are fundamentally collectivistic in putting the “greater good” ahead of personal freedom and individualism, and defining and implementing for themselves what that “greater good” will look like for everyone under their dominion.

The same approach is taken by the Chinese Communist leaders of the Eastern Globalists, making them birds of similar feathers flocking together. This “greater good,” which is fascistic or communistic but ultimately collectivistic, has resulted in hundreds of millions of deaths since its first highly elaborated application in the bloody French revolution that started in 1789.

The authors reach well back into world history to compile their case, and while I can’t quite say I agree with all of their contentions, it’s still well worth a read. They conclude thusly (emphasis mine):

The survival of Western civilization and in particular the survival of our crumbling constitutional republics — the United States, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, Germany and others — requires that we identify and resist the global predators. We must revive our individual rights, our individualism, and our constitutional democracies.

It is now or never!

The world needs an immediate outpouring of political energy and determination to stand up for the best kind of government yet conceived — constitutional democracy as envisioned and codified by the Founders of the United States of America and preserved by Abraham Lincoln. The restrengthening and spread of these republics is the single most important political goal and the greatest necessity on Earth today. If a revival of government as the protector of individual and political freedom is not achieved in the near future with fair and monitored elections, the tragedy of totalitarian rule will continue to descend over the planet, snuffing out individual liberty and crushing all the advances in human wellbeing that have taken place since America’s successful War of Independence and legacy of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.

Sadly, no; “political energy and determination” just ain’t gonna cut it here—not when our “elections” have been exposed as farcical and fraudulent, not when facing an evil, monstrous Enemy perfectly willing to brazenly thwart any attempt at “a revival of government as the protector of individual and political freedom…with fair and monitored elections.”

Better gird your loins and face facts, people: the last desperate hope lies in an immediate outpouring of martial energy and determination. If Western Civ is to be saved at all—when our backs are against the wall and there’s no guarantee that it will or even can be—that’s the one and only way it might be accomplished.

As a great man once said, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat.” In the words of another great man from an earlier era, it’s going to mean fighting, and fighting means killing. Nothing less will do the trick, I’m afraid, and that’s the long and the short of it.

Church militant

We need more hardass clergymen like Dagger John Hughes, and fewer of the namby-pamby, weak-as-water shitlib sobsisters mainstream Christianity is currently burdened with.

We are not the first generation of New Yorkers puzzled by what to do about the underclass. A hundred years ago and more, Manhattan’s tens of thousands of Irish seemed a lost community, mired in poverty and ignorance, destroying themselves through drink, idleness, violence, criminality, and illegitimacy. What made the Irish such miscreants? Their neighbors weren’t sure: perhaps because they were an inferior race, many suggested; you could see it in the shape of their heads, writers and cartoonists often emphasized. In any event, they were surely incorrigible.

But within a generation, New York’s Irish flooded into the American mainstream. The sons of criminals were now the policemen; the daughters of illiterates had become the city’s schoolteachers; those who’d been the outcasts of society now ran its political machinery. No job training program or welfare system brought about so sweeping a change. What accomplished it, instead, was a moral transformation, a revolution in values. And just as John Wesley, the founder of Methodism in the late eighteenth century, had sparked a change in the culture of the English working class that made it unusually industrious and virtuous, so too a clergyman was the catalyst for the cultural change that liberated New York’s Irish from their underclass behavior. He was John Joseph Hughes, an Irish immigrant gardener who became the first Catholic archbishop of New York. How he accomplished his task can teach us volumes about the solution to our own end-of-the-millennium social problems.

John Hughes’s personal history embodied all the virtues he tried so successfully to inculcate in his flock. They were very much the energetic rather than the contemplative virtues: as a newspaper reporter of the time remarked of him, he was “more a Roman gladiator than a devout follower of the meek founder of Christianity.” He was born on June 24, 1797, in Annaloghan, County Tyrone, the son of a poor farmer. As a Catholic in English-ruled Ireland, he was, he said, truly a second-class citizen from the day he was baptized, barred from ever owning a house worth more than five pounds or holding a commission in the army or navy. Catholics could neither run schools nor give their children a Catholic education. Priests had to be licensed by the government, which allowed only a few in the country. Any Catholic son could seize his father’s property by becoming a Protestant.

When Hughes was 15, an event he was never to forget crystallized for him the injustice of English domination. His younger sister, Mary, died. English law barred the local Catholic priest from entering the cemetery gates to preside at her burial; the best he could do was to scoop up a handful of dirt, bless it, and hand it to Hughes to sprinkle on the grave. From early on, Hughes said, he had dreamed of “a country in which no stigma of inferiority would be impressed on my brow, simply because I professed one creed or another.”

Fleeing poverty and persecution, Hughes’s father brought the family to America in 1817. The 20-year-old Hughes went to work as a gardener and stonemason at Mount St. Mary’s college and seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Working there rekindled in him a childhood dream of becoming a priest, and he asked the head of the seminary, John Dubois, if he could enroll as a student. Dubois, a French priest who had fled Paris during the French Revolution armed with a letter of recommendation from Lafayette, turned him down, unable to see past his lack of education to the qualities of mind and character that lay within. This was no ordinary gardener, Dubois should have recognized; indeed, as he went back to his gardening chores, Hughes wrote a bitter poem on the shamefulness of slavery and its betrayal of America’s promise of freedom. Not one to forget a slight, Hughes harshly froze Dubois out of his life when he became prominent and powerful. Indeed, in later years, Hughes won the nickname of “Dagger John,” a reference not only to the shape of the cross that accompanied his printed signature but also to his being a man not to be trifled with or double-crossed.

And that he most certainly was, with big ol’ bells on. As I recall, Mike Walsh has written an essay or two about Dagger John, extolling his uncompromising, stout refusal to bend the knee to any earthly prince or potentate and meekly accept his fate as a second-class citizen because of his professed faith.

It’s easy to forget these days, perhaps, but even as recently as 1960 there were a great many Americans who questioned JFK’s fitness for the office of President purely because he was Catholic. They were strongly suspicious of the risk of what they called “popery” and “dual loyalty”—that, as a Roman Catholic, Kennedy’s primary fidelity would necessarily lie not with the US but with the Vatican. If that sounds eerily reminiscent of the accusations hurled at a certain ethnic group today, well, that ain’t no coincidence.

Read on for lots more about the life and times of a truly fascinating man; it’s good stuff, for sure.

Don’t let’s be beastly to the freakazoids

It’s their Bizarro World, we just live in it.

America, We Can Choose Not to Tolerate Weirdos
Somehow we got to the point where we’re expected to just nod politely when freaks, strangeos, and perverts turn up in positions of great responsibility. Well, that needs to change. Whether it’s some “non-binary” bondage mutant who oversees America’s nuclear waste betwixt bouts of luggage larceny or an Army colonel who – and yeah, this happened – masks up as a leather sex puppy in uniform on social media and who, along with junior officers, also dressed as carnal canines, forms what I guess would be an erotic litter. And then there’s the everyday parade of creepy groomer oddities teaching our kids – actually, indoctrinating them – who are so proud of it that they go post videos of themselves bragging about the gender confusion and woke nonsense they spread. Time to stop accepting the idea that we need to pretend weirdos are not weird.

You know, this whole live and let live thing has outlived its usefulness, not least of all because that concept never applies to us normal people who like family and church and not dressing up as OnlyFans Lassie. There is a big difference between sending the cops to break down the door of Colonel Colliecoupler’s kennel to roust the secret sex pack and refusing to let a grown man who thinks it’s cool to dress up as a bondage beagle and have sex with similarly costumed people lead American soldiers.

These are bad things, and people should not do them. You should not assume some non-existent sex and rip-off baggage, or bump paws with other people dressed up in Doberman drag, or come into a classroom with green hair, a bolt through your nose, and a desire to invent new pronouns so you can turn kids into baffled basket cases. These things are not okay, and we have no moral obligation to give those who do them jobs of great responsibility. In fact, through all of human history, until like five years ago, mankind understood that crazy people should not be empowered, and we got along fine without the contributions of dudes with mustaches dressed like Lola Falana swiping Samsonites off the baggage claim conveyor belts of every airport from LAX to DCA.

As is almost always the case, there’s a reason all this nonsense is being crammed down our gullets, and Doc Zero knows what it is.

This junk didn’t START during the pandemic – that’s when it was DISCOVERED by parents who looked over their kids’ shoulders and were horrified to discover what was on those remote-learning screens. Kids were hit with years of sexual and political indoctrination before that.

Outraged parents who formed grassroots pushback movements were stunned to discover huge batteries of political artillery were already pointed at their scrappy little bands. They realized they were belatedly joining a battle that was long in progress – nearly over, in fact.

Sexualizing children is important to the Left because it separates them from their parents. As we’ve finally been discovering, thanks to some courageous samizdat citizen reporting, sexual indoctrinators in schools almost invariably tell the kids NOT to talk with their parents.

That’s not just to prevent outraged parents from banding together and putting a stop to this offensive garbage. It’s psych warfare, deliberately alienating kids from parents, tradition, and community. Statist control is rebranded as a cool secret club kids are pressured to join.

As a matter of simple math and biology, populations don’t grow unless a sizable number of couples have more than two kids – and that growth isn’t healthy unless the parents stay together. It’s tough to have three kids unless a couple starts relatively early in life.

If people do follow this much-maligned, relentlessly savaged “traditional family” program, the result tends to be families that build generational wealth – both tangible property, and assets such as family connections, which are very helpful to young people leaving the nest.

It’s fascinating how much of “traditional morality” contributes to, or flows from, this simple need for young families to raise multiple children. Of course that makes sense, since those codes and customs developed over centuries of human experience.

The Left understands all of this, and deliberately attacks it at every point of stress. Reverse everything laid out in the previous tweets and you have exactly what’s happening in schools today, including the obliteration of childhood through sexual indoctrination.

There are good reasons those healthy family traditions have been relentlessly maligned and savaged for generations now, until the very idea of “family values” was dismissed with contempt. These people knew exactly what they were doing, and it worked.

It did at that, and dismayingly well too, at least to date. But as I always say, the Left sows the seeds of its own destruction simultaneous with each successive victory—victories which are reliably followed up by even more extreme, odious, and unacceptable demands than before. By attempting to sexualize and recruit America’s children, they’re going to generate a powerful backlash against themselves that they aren’t going to enjoy AT. ALL.

The creepiest thing you’ll ever see

Okay, “creepy” doesn’t even BEGIN to cover this.

The Real-Life Matrix: ‘EctoLife’ Artificial Womb Facility to Engineer, Grow Babies in ‘Factory’

If you thought the millions of plastic pods artificially “growing” human babies in The Matrix were creepy, wait until you see the animation of “EctoLife,” set to be the world’s first artificial womb facility. A recent video posted online by its inventor, Hashem Al-Ghaili, enthusiastically described a facility where tens of thousands of babies could be engineered and gestated in artificial “wombs” with constant monitoring to check for biological defects and growth. EctoLife claims it will engineer the most “viable and genetically superior embryo” as it is “reinventing evolution,” producing up to “30,000 lab-grown babies per year.”

As EctoLife asserted, “Our goal is to provide you with an intelligent offspring that truly reflects your smart choices.” Because eugenics led to such wonderful results in the 20th century!

Remember how leftists have been telling us for years, and continue to tell us, that we’re overpopulating the earth? EctoLife’s ad explicitly said it is “designed to help countries that are suffering from severe population decline”—something that most of the world is suffering from, including America, by the way. Turns out that forgoing reproducing to pursue high-powered careers, luxury vacations, and an end to “climate change” was not such a bright idea. The solution is not being to have babies the way God intended, of course, but to engineer and grow them in fake wombs. That way, “artificial intelligence” (AI) can monitor your baby for “genetic abnormalities” (it’s unclear what would happen to babies who turn out to be supposedly imperfect).

The one really positive aspect is that the ad uses the word “baby” to refer to unborn children throughout the entire ad, a tacit admission that pro-lifers are correct that the unborn truly are humans and not mere clumps of cells.

There are many disturbing aspects to the ad, however. There’s the fact that parents can supposedly “engineer” everything about their baby in the “elite package.” CRISPR gene editing can “customize” and “fix” the baby, from his skin color to his IQ to his genetic disease susceptibilities, for a “genetically superior” baby. There’s the narrator excitedly explaining how birth will no longer involve a woman’s body (just another way to sideline women while pretending to free them, I guess). Instead, it will involve a mere “push of a button.”

The ad expressed a seeming leftist bent by boasting that EctoLife will be powered by “sustainable” wind and solar energy, so you don’t have to worry about your “carbon footprint.” I guess if climate alarmists can’t convince humans to stop having children altogether to save the planet, they’ll artificially grow babies in highly controllable artificial wombs instead.

I found it particularly interesting that the ad claimed, “With EctoLife, miscarriage and low sperm count are a thing of the past.” Some contraceptives have long-term effects on fertility, and studies indicate that COVID-19 vaccines could reduce sperm count too. Did transhumanist leftists create the problem and then provide EctoLife as a “solution”?

Knowing what we know about how thoroughly Left dogma has infiltrated and subsumed what used to be respectfully regarded as “science,” as is confirmed by Ectolife’s inclusion of the above bit casually tossing out “sustainable” and “carbon footprint” and such-like Progtard buzzwords, we dare not put anything whatsoever past them.

Funny, innit, how naturally playing God seems to come to Leftwits who strain themselves absolutely purple-faced denying His existence with every other breath they draw. But not “ha-ha” funny, of course.

A problem in search of a solution

Our Race Realist confrére Arthur Sido teases it out for us.

“Racism” Is A Solution, Not A Problem

Although Tucker Carlson is one of the few voices of any prominence that takes on issues like wasting money in Ukraine, or Covid-19 nonsense or even the occasional tepid defense of Whites, he still cucks and cucks hard on race all too often. His video last evening is a prime example…

While he addressed the very real issue of Whites being looted of our wealth to bribe black and mestizo voters, without using that language, he also reverted back to declaring multiple times that the only difference between a White person and a black is “skin shade”. He even tossed in a couple of Boomer-level references to “NAZIS!”. The whole “Democrats are the real racists!” thing is dumb because it is utterly ineffectual. You can never out-racism the Left. For the average Normielib, the indisputable fact that they are Goodthinkers and Allies Of The Downtrodden And Oppressed is an article of faith for them. When you accuse them of racism it doesn’t even register, it is unthinkable. Worse, it reinforces the idea for Normiecons that this is a viable strategy, keeping them from realizing that it isn’t and that the only truly viable path forward is racial tribalism.

Ya see, what /ourguys/ get (most of them) and Normies on both sides don’t is this:

They don’t see racism as a problem in need of a solution but as a solution to a problem that needs solving.

What is the problem that needs solvin’?

How do you convince White people to surrender what they have built in favor of people who have proven through thousands of years of divergent development their inability to self-govern or to form civil societies?

Solution?

Convince those White people instead that there is something wrong with them and that those other groups are only the way they are because of what White people did to them.

Hopefully you can see how that explains an awful lot of the cognitive dissonance of modern society, it explains why some out of shape White Boomers sightseeing in the U.S. Capitol without permission for a couple of hours is an existential threat to our society but tens of thousands of murders committed by blacks is actually the fault of those same White Boomers. In the very same newscast the average Normie will be told that the greatest threat to America are “White right-wing extremists” while before and after that segment they see mugshots and surveillance photos of black and brown criminals committing wanton acts of unspeakable violence.

It has been a clever and tragically effective strategy. How else can you explain why the race that won the game of life across the globe is running at full speed to surrender everything their forefathers have won to people that lack the basic intelligence and creativity to discover technology our people figured out hundreds and hundreds of years ago? Why else would Europe allow itself to be overrun with Muslims and black Africans who contribute nothing to Europe but rape, murder and ignorance? Why else would America throw open our doors to every mestizo and Desi in the world, while entertaining “slavery reparations” for people that were never slaves to be paid by people that never owned slaves?

While I am by no means any kind of bigot at all; always treasured the many black friends I’ve had over the years, from childhood on; and have nothing but profoundest respect and admiration for the legions of truly brilliant Negro musicians this country has brought forth in the fields of jazz, blues, and trad-folk music, nonetheless there are times, especially as regards this outrageous “reparations” codswallop, when all one can do is just come right out and say it: nigger, please.

As BCE says: nigger fatigue is REAL, and there’s a damned good reason for that. And as my close black friend Mel said to me some years back: if you’re a white liberal and you think there’s no such thing as a nigger, you almost certainly don’t know very many black people.

Naming (un)conventions

Never underestimate the creative ingenuity and all-round insouciance of the general public. First, the backstory:

A few years ago, Britain’s Natural Environment Research Council announced a competition to name a new research vessel.  Given the sense of humor of the British public, it was perhaps not surprising that the winner – by a very large margin – was “Boaty McBoatface“.  Horrified at such unseemly (and un-bureaucratic) levity, the Council stiffly announced that the ship would be christened David Attenborough, but in recognition of public opinion, one of its remotely controlled submersible vehicles would be named according to the popular poll.  Wikipedia notes:  “Observers of contemporary culture coined the term ‘McBoatfacing’, defined as ‘making the critical mistake of letting the internet decide things’.”

One suspects the Ohio Turnpike Commission might have had that example in mind when they announced the winners of their second annual “Name-a-snowplow” competition.

Now, the winners.

One plow at each of the turnpike’s eight maintenance buildings will get one of the names. That includes the Amherst, Boston and Hiram facilities as well as others in Erie, Fulton, Mahoning, Ottawa and Williams counties.

Each winner will receive a $100 cash gift card, according to a news release. The commission got more than 5,500 entries between Oct. 24 and Nov. 20. The top 50 were put up for a public vote which ended Dec. 2 with more than 1,100 votes cast.

Heh. I love it. Back over to Peter for the wrap-up.

Good on the Turnpike Authority for letting the public join in the fun, and for selecting amusing names that will make people smile. There’s all too little of that from ponderous public authorities these days.

Ain’t THAT the sad, sorry truth.

DeSantis to pursue legal fight against Big Pharma in the criminal arena, recruiting additional states for ‘shadow CDC’

Following his two major announcements on Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made himself available for a Q&A with The Dossier along with a couple other media outlets.

Governor DeSantis had just announced that he was petitioning the Florida Supreme Court to impanel a grand jury with the hopes to “investigate crimes and wrongdoing committed against Floridians related to the COVID-19 vaccine.”  He also announced the establishment of a Public Health Integrity Committee, which the Florida Governor also referred to as a “shadow CDC” that seeks to hold the federal government’s health bureaucracy accountable.

Hot DOG! Might Real Americans finally be getting a “shadow government” of their own?

The Dossier asked Governor DeSantis if he was specifically focusing on Pfizer and Moderna, because they are the only pharmaceutical companies that provide mRNA Covid injections in the United States.

“Yes, for sure,” the governor responded, adding, “I think we will look beyond that too, because there were a lot of fraudulent representations made” with the government health institutions as well. In the earlier panel, the governor and his co-panelists cited claims by Dr Fauci, the CDC director, and the many others who grossly misrepresented claims about the supposedly “safe and effective” shots that were fraudulently marketed as providing immunity and blocking transmission.

The governor added that the vaccine mandates were “based on premises that turned out not to be accurate,” so the fight in the Supreme court will be “broader than” just Big Pharma, and will also target federal overreach.

Citing the 2005 PREP Act, a bill passed in 2005 by Congress that clears the drug companies of virtually all civil liability, Governor DeSantis discussed his approach to petitioning the Florida Supreme Court.

“They’ll go into federal court and try to squash anything that we do, but that liability does not include criminal,” he said of the Big Pharma protections. “We’re going to do our process with the grand jury. We will have more heft than a congressional committee would anyway, because it’s a criminal process, not just civil.”

Good on ya, Gov. Keep up the fine work.

Baby, it’s politically-incorrect up in here

VP calls for a fresh look at a great old song.

It’s Time to Rehabilitate ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’

It’s been nearly two decades since “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” earned the ire of our finger-wagging, no-fun, culture scolds.

This week I saw the first sign that might finally be happening.

The heat was probably never more intense than it was four years ago when GenZ got into the act and demanded that radio stations stop playing it. The Wall Street Journal had the details in a piece headlined, “‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ Heats Up Culture Wars.

The actual history of the tune is that Frank Loesser wrote it for himself and his wife to perform as a duet. And not just sung, but to be performed, perfectly staged, live at parties. The Journal spoke with their daughter, Susan, who said that “the reference to what is in the woman’s drink was common at the time, signifying only that having an alcoholic beverage was cool.” When I was a young boy in the ’70s, I can remember on many occasions my grandmother asking the very same thing when my grandfather had poured her a stiff one, and him replying, “Nothing I didn’t make for you last night,” or words to that effect. The same generation as the Loessers, middle age didn’t make them any less playful with one another.

Dean Martin recorded the song in 1959, and his daughter Deana told Fox News on Tuesday that she’s “flabbergasted” by the controversy. “It’s just insane. When I heard it, I said, ‘This can’t possibly be.’ You know, it’s a sweet, flirty, fun holiday song that’s been around for 40 years.”

No real conundrum or cause for bafflement here, I’d say. Sweet, flirty, fun—can it really come as any big surprise to saner sorts that pinched-faced, juiceless, joyless liberal bluenoses have so worked hard to do away with it?

Susan Loesser backs up that interpretation, telling the Journal, “The female singer’s repeated insistence that she needed to go was halfhearted, as she too wanted to stay.” Which is exactly how every female performer in every version of this song has sung it. She isn’t threatened or out-of-control drunk; she showed up at his place knowing exactly what she wanted. Or as Loesser explained: “She’s flirting like crazy. She’s wanting to stay, but she’s worried about what people will think.”

In other words: a nice girl with a naughty side. Just what I wanted for Christmas!

Better watch your step there, Stephen; they’ll be coming for you next, if you keep it up.

What Moves the Voters Republicans Lost?
Unless there is a major turnaround in the culture, the Republicans will have to deal with a strong and vocal opposition in future elections.

In “The Republican Struggle with Defeat,” Conrad Black lays out the situation that the Republican Party confronts after its unexpectedly disastrous midterm elections. Despite Joe Biden’s unpopularity and the range of problems he and his party have caused—from broken borders and inflation to the cultural radicalization of both the military and public education, and debacles abroad—the Democrats did unexpectedly well at the polls. Unlike during the Obama Administration, Biden’s party won the Senate, several governorships, a number of state legislatures, and held its defeats in the House to a minimum.

Black avoids exaggerating the Trump factor in the defeat of Republican candidates. One can point to some worthy Trump picks, including Kari Lake, Blake Masters, Adam Laxalt, Lee Zeldin, and J. D. Vance, even if other picks, such as Herschel Walker and Doug Mastriano, were duds. But there is no convincing evidence that Trump’s support for a candidate was the decisive factor in any person’s defeat. Other circumstances, as Black points out, led to those candidates’ losses. If the United States now “plods on with a one-and-one-half party system” and “veers harder to the left,” we should look elsewhere for the most decisive reasons.

A major cause for the midterm results, argues Black, “is the apparent inability of the Republicans to master the harvested ballot. Trump correctly warned in 2020 this would be used to rig the election, but he was completely inadequate in the counter-measures he took to prevent that.” In my view, one can’t stress enough the games that the Democrats have mastered in changing electoral procedures. From vote-harvesting and voting without personal identification to election outcomes being determined by insecure mail-in ballots sent in more than a month before scheduled in-person voting, these Democratic “reforms” should have met unrelenting Republican resistance.

Unfortunately, they didn’t, which raises the question: How would the elections in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania have turned out if these states had the voting laws that are in force in Florida?

An utterly pointless debate, an exercise in abject futility, perhaps even outright misdirection, at least in some cases. Those laws are NOT in force; the Vichy GOPe did NOT resist, and only a delusional fool expects that they ever will. If they had any interest in such piffling bagatelles, they would have done so already. Get your head around it already, ferchrissakes, and deal with current reality at long, long last.

For obvious reasons, Republicans are hesitant about contesting questionable ballots.

“OBVIOUS reasons,” is it? Name three for me, please. Don’t strain yourself, I’ll wait.

They quake at the thought of being accused of election denial or suppressing minority votes. This hesitancy puts them at a disadvantage against a radical leftist party that shows no compunctions about cheating or election denial.

Not hardly, amigo. What actually makes them quake at the thought of it is the prospect of upending a comfy, too-familiar applecart, thereby disrupting a wholly rotten system in which they’ve long since accepted their assigned role—a system which has made them rich beyond the dreams of avarice, despite their demeaning status as junior partners therein.

This hesitancy puts them at a disadvantage against a radical leftist party that shows no compunctions about cheating or election denial. The fact that Democratic Party organizers and politicians can engage in their legerdemain with unfailing media protection makes them even more brazen.

That lack of compunction and brazenness is a very, very old story, told from deep within a very crowded memory hole.

Democrat Voter Fraud: A Brief History
This is a “brief history” because the complete history of Democrat electoral malfeasance reaching back to Tammany Hall and Tweed would require four volumes or more. (I’m running into the same problem with a new book I’m outlining analyzing the Democrats as a criminal organization, much like the Mafia or the Camorra.)

So a brief history it is, limited to the past thirty years or so. Believe you me, there’s no lack of cases even in that short span.

The Dinkins Magic Voting Machines

Just days before voting in the 1993 David Dinkins/Rudolf Giuliani election, the New York Times reported that a number of voting machines had been found in a closed Manhattan school. All the machines were loaded with votes for Democrat incumbent David Dinkins.

Voting proceeded without the help of those machines, and of course Rudy was elected. But that was the end of it. As far as I’ve been able to learn, there was no investigation, no inquiries, or, for that matter, any further reportage on it.

Votes from the 8th Dimension

The 2004 Washington state gubernatorial contest between Republican Dino Rossi and Democrat Christine Gregoire ended with Rossi up by 261 votes. A machine recount left him still ahead by 42 votes. The state Democrats paid over $700,000 for a hand recount, and whaddaya know… Votes started appearing from any and all conceivable sources. A bag containing votes here…  an electoral official’s car there… it’s surprising they didn’t start falling out of the sky like the frogs in Magnolia.

By the end of the year Gregoire was ahead by 130 votes and was inaugurated on January 12. Rossi, God love him, continued fighting, taking Gregoire to court over the blatantly illegitimate votes. A Pierce County judge tossed the votes out, only to be overruled by the Washington State Supreme Court. A final decision didn’t come for six months, when Judge John Bridges, a Democrat appointee, tossed aside the concept of “chain of custody” to find in favor of Gregoire. Rossi should have continued on to the U.S. Supreme Court – after all, a critical legal concept was being overthrown – but he does get an E for Effort, since he did more than any other Republican in recent memory.

The Washington case enshrined the concept that all Democrat votes, whether they emerged from a portal into hyperspace or were discovered in a 2000 B.C. Sumerian temple, had to be counted no matter what the circumstances. GOP votes… not so much.

Goshdarnit, People Liked Him

A similar chain of events occurred in the election of Al Franken in Minnesota in 2008. Incumbent Norm Coleman originally prevailed with over 700 votes, which were mysteriously whittled down to 200 in short order. Franken called for a recount, and begorrah, the votes suddenly started appearing. Some, anyway — an envelope of votes from one county simply disappeared, but were counted regardless, the totals evidently being read out from tea leaves. By the time it all ended, Franken was ahead by 312 votes. Coleman, a Republican gentleman of the old school, made perfunctory efforts at protest, but was undercut by the GOP itself, led by former governor Arne Carlson, a RINO to rule them all, who had refused to endorse Coleman during the campaign.

Shortly after the election, it was discovered that at least 1,099 illegal votes had been cast by felons, and this had been known during the vote count, but had been ignored. Franken exchanged his diapers for a suit and spent the better part of two terms voting the way he was told and embarrassing his party before being forced out during the “MeToo” craze.

Lots more where that come from, and remember, these are contemporary examples only. Back to the AG piece for the sad, sorry denouement.

The solution to these problems for Republicans is to ignore the righteous accusations and to challenge unwaveringly suspicious ballots.

It isn’t a “solution,” it’s their sworn and sacred duty, or would be in a better, less ruinously-crooked system than this one is.

It would make even more sense to get voting to take place on election day and in a precinct station under bipartisan surveillance. It is just plain dumb for conflict-averse Republican leaders to tell their constituency to learn to do mail-in voting months ahead of Election Day. Most Republican voters cast ballots, as they should, in the assigned places on Election Day.

Fine suggestions all, not a single one of which has a ghost of a chance of ever being implemented. The larger problem?

Even more problematic for the Republicans are the large voting blocs they are losing by ever larger numbers: 18-to 29-year-old voters, in which the proportion of college students is rising. In November, unmarried women voted 70 percent for the Democrats, and in Pennsylvania they helped significantly in electing the brain-injured radical John Fetterman. More than 70 percent of college students voted, and 63 percent of them broke for the Democrats. Although the Republicans have made modest inroads among black voters and while the Hispanic vote has increased for the GOP by 10 points since 2018, they are losing badly key constituencies. These blocs are mostly on the woke Left and not likely to be won over by appeals to “conservative values.”

Heh. “Not likely,” he says. Understate much, pal?

Further, there is no indication that the electorate cares about Democratic scandals and failures. Republican attempts to call attention to such issues or to the damaged brain of our new Pennsylvania senator or to Joe Biden’s obvious decrepitude fall on deaf ears with these voters. Unrestricted abortion rights count for them far more than broken borders or the venality of the Biden family.

That’s because more and more of us are being brought around to the grim realization of the uselessness, the hopelessness, of Voting Harderer!™ at them to provide a way out of this stinking bog for us. The cynicism and disgust at the wholesale, systemic corruption of “elections” in Amerika v2.0 is growing by leaps and bounds, which I take as a positive sign. The more of us who acknowledge the farcical nature of the whole shit-circus, however unpleasant a reality it might be to confront, the sooner something meaningful might actually be done about it, I believe.

Disrespect for marriage act

These are the times we live in, alas.

Biden Invites Drag Queen To Attend Bill Signing At The White House

President Joe Biden invited drag queen Marti G. Cummings to attend the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act at the White House.

Because of course he did, that’s why. After all, nothing says “respect for marriage” quite like drag queens, no?

I swear, at this point it’s as if they just can’t help themselves anymore; they simply must—MUST—jab a thumb into the eye of all normalcy at every imaginable opportunity. It’s like a compulsion these days with these assholes, they couldn’t stop even if they wanted to. Which, they assuredly do NOT.

Both the House of Representatives and the Senate have greenlit the legislation, which enshrines same-sex marriage protections into federal law in accordance with the Supreme Court’s opinion in Obergefell v. Hodges. Democratic lawmakers recruited 39 Republicans in the lower chamber and 10 in the upper chamber to support the bill, which is expected to be signed into law on Tuesday.

Cummings shared a screenshot of the White House invitation on social media and expressed thankfulness toward the Biden administration.

“To be a non-binary drag artist invited to the White House is something I never imagined would happen,” the drag queen said. “Grateful doesn’t begin to express the emotions I feel.”

Same here, sicko, on both counts.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) remarked in a statement that he voted against a motion to advance the bill because its “religious liberty protections” were “severely anemic and largely illusory.” The lawmaker had expressed concern that religious individuals and organizations could be exposed to litigation and the loss of nonprofit status under the new law.

Biden nevertheless praised the final passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, saying that “millions of marriages and families” have been put at ease following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and other previous opinions purporting a constitutional right to abortion.

“On this day, Jill and I are thinking of the courageous couples and fiercely committed advocates who have fought for decades to secure nationwide marriage equality at the Supreme Court and in Congress,” he said. “While we are one step closer on our long journey to build a more perfect union, we must never stop fighting for full equality for LGBTQI+ Americans and all Americans.”

Because hey, what could possibly be more critical, more absolutely, positively vital, to the well-being of any conventional married couple and/or the institution of marriage itself than unfettered baby-murder and the promotion of sexual confusion and deviancy? The next bit is as predictable as yesterday’s sunrise.

Cummings also conducts activism on behalf of the “queer youth population” in New York City, according to Out. “I also think we need young people at the table. We need new, fresh voices,” Cummings continued.

Le sigh. Gee, bet you didn’t see that coming, now did ya?

“Phasing out” fossil fuels

Alternative suggestion: howzabout we break out the ropes, pitchforks, torches, and loaded mags and begin “phasing out” the Biden/DemonRat/shitlib Climate Change (formerly global warming, formerly global cooling, formerly The Weather) fucktards instead.

The “All-the-Above” Energy Policy Is a Compromise That Reverses Human and Environmental Progress

The Net Zero energy policy pursued by the current administration would essentially, sooner or later, phase out fossil fuels. That would roll back much of the progress America and the world has witnessed since the 19th century in economic and human well-being while increasing pressures on the rest of nature.

An alternative, embraced by many conservatives, is the “all-the-above” (ATA) policy. This approach preserves the option of using fossil fuels but with strict limitations that, however, are not founded on empirical science. Moreover, ATA would hamstring economic growth, increase the cost of living, and particularly hurt those on the lower economic rungs. We all would be poorer.

Feature, not bug.

The fundamental problem with the ATA approach is that it accepts claims that CO2 is an existential problem when there is no empirical corroboration of warmists’ apocalyptic narrative. Instead, the following global trends are widely recognized:

  • Deaths from weather and climate phenomena (heat and cold, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts) have declined 98 percent since the 1920s.  Studies indicate that several-times more people die from cold than heat. Economic losses from such events, as a fraction of wealth or global GDP, have declined.
  • The extent of wildfires peaked globally in the mid-19th century.
  • Cereal yields have tripled since 1961, while food supplies have increased 31 percent.
  • Sea level has risen continually 400 feet since the end of the last ice age with no significant acceleration during the modern age.
  • Access to clean water has increased, mainly because of improved hygiene and engineering solutions for water and sewage treatment.
  • Death rates from climate- and weather-sensitive vector-borne and parasitic diseases have declined.

Importantly, since the Industrial Revolution, virtually every measurable, significant indicator of human well-being has advanced because of the economic growth and technological change that was brought about through the consumption of fossil fuels and the economic surpluses that they generated. Use of fossil fuels freed resources, including most significantly the time and brain power that human beings had to devote previously to agriculture and other tasks where brawn rather than brains were at a premium. Consequently, globally:

  • People are living longer and healthier lives.
  • Income levels have improved, and poverty levels have declined.
  • The human development index has advanced virtually everywhere.

As for environmental health, fossil fuel-related technologies – including machinery, fertilizers and pesticides – have helped increase global food production at least 62.5 percent directly or indirectly and have enabled human beings to spare 20.4 percent of global land area (GLA) for the rest of nature. This exceeds both the habitat lost currently to cropland (12.2 percent of GLA) and the global cumulative area currently reserved or identified as conservation areas (estimated at 14.6 percent of GLA). For context, the area saved from conversion to agriculture is 25 percent larger than North America.

All of the above bulleted points are things unalterably, vehemently opposed by the Goosesteppin’ Left, mind. Once you recognize that incontrovertible fact, everything else begins to make sense. Well, of a sort, insofar as anything the idiots say or do can be said to make any kind of sense at all.

“FLY, you fools!”

Looks like a lot of San Franciscans have been heeding Gandalf the Grey’s urgent admonition to the other Nine Walkers from the Bridge of Khazad-dum, right before he smote the Balrog and descended into the deepest pits of Moria along with his foe.

Why no one is buying downtown San Francisco’s luxury condos

Underneath the headline is a photo taken from one of those luxury high-rise apartments, overlooking what was once one of the most physically-glorious cities in all the world, now tragically reduced to a shit-encrusted, unlivable pit of despair, blight, and iniquity by decades of ultra-liberal misrule.

These days, a luxury high-rise in downtown San Francisco with units that appear to be mostly empty isn’t an uncommon sight. As a cooling real estate market continues to impact the city, downtown condos might be some of the hardest-hit properties around.

Patrick Carlisle, Compass’ chief market analyst, said that while economic headwinds are affecting real estate markets everywhere, downtown San Francisco’s condo market has been hit especially hard.

“That market has been hit hardest in the city,” Carlisle told SFGATE. This is due to a few different factors, he said, one being the mass abandonment of downtown office spaces since the start of the pandemic.

IE: all part of The Plan, then.

Speaking of tech workers, Carlisle said the uncertainty brought on by mass tech layoffs has also affected property sales downtown. He added that an increase in homelessness and crime in downtown areas has affected the “quality-of-life ambiance” for people in those areas, presumably buyers who are reluctant to live among the city’s unhoused populations.

This condo market, Carlisle said, is separate from the luxury condos located in areas like Russian Hill, Nob Hill, Pacific Heights and the Marina District. Condos in these areas tend to be built in older, smaller buildings located in less urban neighborhoods and have taken much less of a hit than their glossier counterparts downtown.

“The downtown market has been hit much, much harder than the luxury condo market in these older neighborhoods,” Carlisle said. “I’m not saying there haven’t been effects in places like Russian Hill and Nob Hill and Pacific Heights because there have been. The market has softened there also, quite significantly, but not to the degree that the downtown market has.”

According to a recent report from Compass, the median sales price of a two-bedroom condo in downtown areas has dropped by 16% since 2021, compared to a 7% drop in the price of two-bedroom condos outside of that area. The report also states that condo inventory in this area is more than twice as high as the rest of the city — which explains the seemingly empty high-rises looming everywhere downtown.

In October, one 45-story luxury high-rise made news after it was revealed that only 13 of its 146 units had been purchased in the two years they’d been up for sale. Rumors that Steph and Ayesha Curry had purchased a unit at the property, named the Four Seasons Private Residences, turned out to be false. The development features units that range from studios to $49 million two-story penthouses.

Ah well, “what goes up must come down” still applies, I guess.

Despite these trends, Carlisle said that for some, this downturn may act as a chance to purchase a condo at a lower price.

“Of course, there are people who see this as an opportunity to get a good deal,” Carlisle said. “There are condos selling in the newer luxury developments in the South Beach and Yerba Buena areas at large discounts from what people paid for them three, four years back. You know, we’re talking gorgeous units with spectacular views in ultra-luxury buildings.”

Views that also feature feces-strewn, used-needle-clogged streets and sidewalks; reeking stewbums, junkies, thieves, and miscellaneous thugs; and the ever-dwindling handful of affluent, smarmy shitlibs stubbornly determined to ride the SF disaster out to the bitter end somehow.

Yeah, thanks but no thanks, bub. Having been to SF many times on tour with the BPs over the years, I loved the place for its beauty and once-myriad charm, but no longer. I wouldn’t go back there now if I was being paid by the hour, and obviously I am by no means alone in that sentiment. It’s truly sad, a latter-day American disgrace, that’s what—a pluperfect example of what inevitably results each and every time shitlibs are allowed to run things.
