Reserve Currency – What you’ve heard is BS

“The BRICS countries are going to redefine the reserve currency”
“The Chinese Renminbi is going to be the new reserve currency”

You’ve heard it and it is all bullshit promoted by anti-American conmen. Brics are countries like South Africa, Egypt, and Ethiopia, with absolutely nothing to contribute. As for the others, like China – you want to be holding an unstable currency? Of course not, nor does anyone else.

Which is why the dollar remains KING, currently at 58% of the worlds reserve currency holding, and the euro coming next at 1/3 of the USA, roughly 20%. After that it’s all small ball at 6% or less. China is 2% – who wants to hold the renminbi when the chinaman may very well devalue it at anytime?

And all this was taking place with the US under marxist control for many years, devastating our economy.

And now, it is just going to go back up. It peaked at around 70% back about year 2000. I expect to see it even higher in a couple years as the American economy begins taking off*.

Merry Christmas, Radical Left Scum

The funniest President in history lets ‘er rip.

Trump Wishes Merry Christmas to All, Even ‘Radical Left Scum’
President Donald Trump sent Christmas wishes to all Americans on Christmas Eve, singling out the “Radical Left Scum” as recipients.

The magnanimous holiday greetings from Trump included a missive directed at those the president said are holding up his agenda.

His Truth Social post reads:

Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest National Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!! President DJT

The most recent in the president’s long string of accomplishments he touted is the 4.3 percent GDP growth posted Tuesday, far surpassing economists’ expectations and the most robust growth since the economy was still rebounding from the pandemic. But the long list of the year’s achievements has given Trump much to be cheerful for this Christmas season.

Not only Trump, but all normal, sane Americans also. Which leaves the Radical left Scum holding a bagful of switches, coal, and…rocks.

Sarah Hucklebee Sanders to anti-Christian dickweeds: GET BENT

The TRUE meaning of Christmas is telling officious, whiny shitlibs to crawl up an armadillo’s ass and die.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was feeling the Christmas spirit this week as she gave state employees a generous gift. She announced she would be closing state offices on Friday, December 26th, extending a nice four-day weekend to the state’s employees to spend with their families and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

The birth of Jesus? She can’t say that! She’s a governor.

At least according to the Scrooges at the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF), an atheist nonprofit organization that, in their words, works to keep state and church separate.

Sarah’s e-mail really got the agitated atheist’s tinsel in a twist.

The angry elves at FFRF couldn’t let this stand, and they jumped into action, pounced, if you will. They sent a letter to the Governor demanding that she rescind the statement, claiming it violated the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause. Going even further, they demanded that she no longer use her office to promote ‘Christian Mythology’ as truth.

Next, this happened.

Y’know, her dad would’ve benefited tremendously from a lot more of his daughter’s backbone and feistiness back when he was in politics.

“Please know that I will do no such thing.” Epic! Also, LEGEND! I think I maybe came in my pants a little just now.

Oh, certain Crackpot Rightists ain’t gonna like THIS

Darn pesky (((***JOOOOOOOOZ!!!***)))

Why These Christmas Songs Could Only Be Written in America
It was Jewish Americans like Irving Berlin who drew on Yiddish and the rhythms and chords of traditional cantorial music to create our most beloved Christmas tunes.

I love Christmas—the parties, the spirit of charity, the lights glowing on modest row houses, the tree at Rockefeller Center, even the schmaltzy movies. What I really love, though, is the music.

I am Jewish, so you won’t find me dragging a small Douglas fir into my living room. I will not attend midnight mass or keep an advent calendar. On Christmas Day, I eat wonton soup and sweet and sour chicken at a Chinese restaurant, as is my people’s tradition. But the music of the season is a balm and a bop. And it’s not only infectious; it’s secular.

Think of the most beloved Christmas songs, like “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”

It’s about winter and romance: “When we finally kiss goodnight / How you’ll hate going out in the storm.” There’s no mention of Nazareth, three wise men, frankincense, or myrrh. It’s warm and homey, but vaguely sexy too. Cheeky and charming, and not remotely Christian. Any American can relate.

Or “The Christmas Song,” with references to Santa, turkey, and mistletoe; it doesn’t feel like revelation so much as cocktail hour. It’s not about Christ. It’s about Christmas.

What’s most surprising, however, is that the Americans who wrote those two Christmas standards—and most of the other seasonal classics—were, like Jesus himself, Jews.

They were often children of parents who fled Russia and elsewhere in Eastern Europe during the great wave of immigration between 1880 and 1920. There’s Sammy Cahn, who wrote “Let It Snow.” The son of Galician Jewish immigrants, Cahn rose to become Sinatra’s favorite lyricist. There’s also Mel Tormé, the singer and songwriter who, with Bob Wells, penned “The Christmas Song,” more commonly known as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.” His father, William Torma, a Jewish cantor, emigrated from Belarus in the early 20th century. Frank Loesser, a titan of Broadway and Hollywood musicals who composed the slightly naughty “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” was born into a middle-class Jewish family. His father left Germany in the 1890s to avoid serving in the Kaiser’s military.

Johnny Marks gave us “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “A Holly Jolly Christmas,” and “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree,” a yuletide bubblegum favorite introduced in the 1950s by Brenda Lee. Marks, too, was one of the chosen ones. “He was Jewish and didn’t even believe in Christmas,” Lee told Billboard Magazine years later. “And all that would come out of him was Christmas music!”

“All everyone’s favorite Christmas songs were written by Jews, and this is a fact,” David Lehman, a poet and editor and the author of A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs, told me. “The most famous example being “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin.”

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a bajillion times: I’ll take Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Leiber & Stoller, William Wyler, and Mel Brooks over any thousand poisonous jihadi toads you’d care to name, six days a week and twice on Sundays.

HO HO HO!

For this year’s annual Christmas music extravaganza, I’m going minimalist with two tunes we’ve seen here before, and another which I think is one of the all-time greats.

Another old favorite:

And now, a gorgeous song from what some might consider an unlikely source:

That’s a piano-four-hands version of a little ditty from the Rankin-Bass classic TV special Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. Personally, I’ve always liked Rudolph way better than any of the other holiday TV specials—yes, including the Grinch and Charlie Brown both, good as they surely are—and the music therein is nothing short of amazing.

This song in particular is a real grabber, what with the intoxicating waltz tempo, the lilting, unforgettable melody, and the note-perfect bridge section tying everything together with a neat little Christmas bow.  Throw in Yukon Cornelius, the Bumble, Hermy the elf (“A DENTIST?!?”), Sam the Snowman, Comet the Reindeer Games coach, and the rest, and there’s certainly one heck of a lot to like about this one.

Update! Leave it to those zany guys at the Bee.

Sure, why the hell not. Wouldn’t be the most bizarre news item we’ve seen this past year, now would it?

3rd Quarter Growth – 4.3% “Unexpected”

Not unexpected by me or other people that do not suffer Trump derangement. Trump did it in his first term but it took longer.

It is why they released the virus along with their psyops – they had to shut down the economic progress before the American people realized how easy it was to have a robust wealth producing economic system in the USA. The other benefits (to them) were extra but planned. #1 was stop the economy.

Now it’s back. The plan has always been – grow your way out of the trouble created by every past administration since Ike. And it is working.

Unexpected only by those ignorant enough to believe the business school propaganda. The WSJ propaganda. The Chamber of Commerce propaganda. The democrat party propaganda. And the republican in name only propaganda.

It’s always enlightening to me to discover there are many that do understand it and expected it. I’m not alone.

One year in and the result is 4.3%. I expect to break 5 next year and 6 the year after if the American people just stay the course.

US Economy Grows Like Barry* Expected

*and many others, like Kenny

UPDATE:
America rises, Chinese growth stunted, under 3% – Thanks President Trump!

Where has the magic gone?

Excellent piece from Ashley McCully looking into where it came from in the first place, how it was lost, and how we can find it again.

Finding Wonder in Christmas as Adults
My children finish school for the 2025 calendar year tomorrow, and that means we can finally go nuts for Christmas. Days filled with making gingerbread houses, sipping hot cocoa, gluing macaroni and popsicle sticks, and rocking out to festive tunes are on the horizon. For children, this is a season of promise and wonder. For adults, it’s wrangling sugar-fueled kids, standing in lines to pay too much for something no one truly needs, and reminiscing about the good ol’ days. Not very magical.

Even as we age, though, we all remain children of God. In fact, Jesus tells us in the Book of Matthew that we must become like little children if we want to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Take a moment and think about a kid in your life and their perspective during this time.

Flying reindeer, a snowy workshop where every toy is made for a specific child, a jolly man who goes up and down chimneys — children hope and believe in things they’ve never seen. Their faith in this goodness is inexplicable. Ask a kindergartener why they believe in Santa and you’ll find an unfounded conviction that would rival a honey badger.

When was the last time we really examined our faith? Believing in God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; the Christ child born of the Virgin Mary; the power and redemption of baptism; the resurrection of Jesus and his defeat of death; and life everlasting for those who give their life to the Lord. These are not light tenets, and it can be daunting to confront them.

One of our family traditions is cruising neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights. The bigger and brighter the display, the more mesmerized my kids are. They float between exuberance and awe, sometimes pointing and shouting things like “Epic!” and “Wow!” They are demanding I “look over there!”

Just as children believe because they are innocent, they get excited because things are still new to them. How easy is it for us to become room temperature in our faith? Imagine a first grader seeing 40,000 twinkling lights in a 300 square foot space and saying “meh.” When was the last time we really examined our faith? Here we have the greatest gift in the world — eternal salvation! — and we fail to be impressed.

God wants us to be delighted and He plants surprises for us everywhere, but we have to be willing to look and anticipate His creativity. Sure, we may be caught off-guard by a brilliant sunrise or encouraged by a random flower pushing out of a crack in the sidewalk, but the Lord knows we as adults require mental stimulation.

I shouldn’t even have to tell y’all to read all of it, but I will anyhow.

Two enemies, one rule

Moslems, like Leftists, will not stop. They will have to BE stopped.

Australian Counter-Terrorism Police Ram a Vehicle Containing Five Islamic Men Heading Towards Site of Sunday’s Hannukah Slaughter
—Ace

Authorities believe two cars loaded with Islamic men were headed to the scene of the Hannukah slaughter to commit further terroristic violence.

They rammed the car because, it is reported, they believed they had to stop the car immediately.

Nota bene that the article Ace links and excerpts is extremely careful to not use the words “Moslem” or “jihad,” not even once. Admittedly, I didn’t bother reading the whole thing, so maybe that omission wasn’t deliberate and the author mentions those things eventually. However unlikely that might be, of course.

Ace goes on to make another salient point:

The two terrorists had ISIS flags — Islamic State flags, that is.

Nothing to do with religion, huh? The actual terrorists say different.

Sure, sure, but Heaven forfend that we ever take the murderous swine at their word. As the Vichy GOPers always bleat, that would only bring us down to their level, making us every bit as bad as they are.

A Xweet or two:

“Of Asian descent,” eh? Why, how very British of you, limpdick. The Force dissembling and evasion is strong with this one. Another, authored by a more honest, forthright individual.

That last line is all too true, and totally disheartening.

The ongoing European disaster

 Tragedy, both historic and contemporary.

Europe’s Unending Tragedy
There are times when Europe succumbs to an urge for self-destruction that defies rational explanation. The Thirty Years’ War provides a particularly tragic example. It went on long after its early instigators and key participants were all dead. Rational actors could have brought it to a close well before it entered its most destructive phase in the 1630s, yet the leaders’ ability to strike a balance between ends and means was lost to audacity, fear, greed, and fanaticism.

That war became infamous for its violence even before the Peace of Westphalia. In subsequent decades, Europe experienced several armed conflicts, but they were limited wars for limited objectives, fought within the balance-of-power system by adversaries of similar temper and mindset.

The “Second Thirty Years’ War” started with the lights going out all over Europe in 1914. It ended in 1945, with the continent in ruins, physically and spiritually. Its subsequent economic recovery was impressive, but the old intellectual and moral vigor was gone. This is especially evident in the low quality of the political class. No European leader of our time comes even close to the stature and vision of Charles De Gaulle or Konrad Adenauer, or even of their early successors. As a result, eight decades after the Red Army marched into Berlin, Europe’s politicians are displaying the same old mix of audacity, fear, greed, and fanaticism. It has the potential to result in a new, truly final, catastrophe.

Disagree. Actually, history shows us that humans are resilient and resourceful enough that NO catastrophe, however severe or crushing, is ever truly “final.” That said, though, whatever emerges from Europe’s “final catastrophe” might not necessarily be anything the rest of Western Civ could recognize as remotely European.

After President Donald Trump started America’s gradual disengagement from what he has termed Biden’s war, the European Commission in Brussels and the governments in Berlin, Paris, and London formed the “Coalition of the Willing,” an ad hoc alliance effectively devoted to defeating Russia. Its major protagonists—German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer—present the conflict with Russia as an existential test of resolve. “Ukraine’s future is our future,” Starmer said in October.

The coalition maintains that Ukraine must be restored to its late-Soviet-era borders, including the Crimea; that Russia must pay for its reconstruction, with the EU and Britain preparing to seize its frozen funds under their control; that Kiev should be free to join NATO and to bring foreign troops to its territory; and that alleged Russian war criminals must be brought to “international justice.” These demands are presented as nonnegotiable, with the implication that eventually Moscow will be compelled to sign on the dotted line by force of arms.

By insisting on what amounts to Russia’s surrender, the EU and major European governments are painting themselves into a corner. The resulting mindset was epitomized by Merz, who declared last September that “we are not at war, but we are no longer at peace, either.” Last May, he pledged to make the Bundeswehr the “strongest conventional army in Europe.” Germany’s defense expenditure rose by 28 percent last year to $90 billion, making it the world’s fourth-largest military spender. Annual spending is planned to double to at least $175 billion by 2029.

Lots more to this piece yet, of which you’ll want to read the all.

Shit circus

Since everybody’s talking about Somalia and Somalis these days, here’s some seriously gripping stuff straight from the mouth of a man who was there, right in the thick of things.

Via Tactical Hermit.

Update! Probably shouldn’t even bring this up, but we had a HUGE CF fan and regular reader who also happened to be one of the Blackhawk pilots caught up that day in the chaotic maelstrom of intrepid warriors left to twist in the wind by careerist senior officers, conniving DoD rumpswabs, and vacillating, cowardly ProPols—an old, old story all too familiar to every US serviceman, from whatever branch, conflict, and/or era.

Anyhoo, I corresponded with this fella regularly for several years, got no idea where he might be now though. The inside stories of flying Blackhawks in both Mogadishu and elsewhere he related to me over those years I will NEVER forget, although he did make me solemnly swear not to say a word about it lest he wind up court-martialed for revealing classified informaion to a cake-eating civilian.

The Blackhawk Down saga is a heartrending revelation of how very far America had fallen by then—a downfall which has only worsened in the years since. If you haven’t seen the movie, you really, really need to correct that immediately. It will depress you, it will enrage you, it will discomfit and disturb you…but the incredible courage of those valiant American fighting men foolishly, callously dropped into the pot by so-called “leaders” unfit to carry their fucking jockstraps will amaze you no end. By the end of the flick, it’s the casual, dauntless bravery of those warriors that stays with you.

And if you didn’t already loathe and despise Jimmeh Peanuthead, I guar-on-damn-TEE that you will after watching this intense, perfectly-crafted movie. While we’re at it, fuck that goddamned brother-humping Ilhan Omar cunt-fart all to Hell and gone, too. Calls for a re-post of this timely classic, I do believe.

Heh. Make it so, Number One.

Broken

Ooooh goody, ANOTHER layer of FederalGovCo “oversight,”  interference, and impermeably murky bureaucracy.

‘Preservation’ Maneuver by Jamie Raskin Confirms the White House Ballroom Project Has Broken Him
Even if one gave Democrats a fraction of the benefit of the doubt (which we won’t) over their various grievances with President Trump’s America First agenda, the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the ballroom project currently underway at the White House has added a whole new layer of unhinginess to the mix.

This is despite the fact that White House renovations have been undertaken by presidents from both political parties throughout our country’s history, including under both the Obama and Biden administrations.

There have been two lawsuits filed so far over the demolition of the East Wing, one that was filed by a Virginia couple in October but which was voluntarily dismissed, and a more recent one from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which suffered a setback Tuesday when a federal judge denied them the temporary restraining order they sought to halt below-ground construction as the case proceeds through the courts, as we previously reported.

Meanwhile, Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08) announced legislation on Tuesday that effectively confirms that both Trump and the ballroom have broken him:

Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland plans to introduce legislation Tuesday that would subject White House renovations like President Trump’s ballroom project to the same reviews as other federal projects. Currently, the White House is exempt from certain oversight under the National Historic Preservation Act.

Raskin’s bill, called the “People’s White House Historic Preservation Act,” would require White House renovations to undergo a so-called “Section 106 review,” a pre-ground breaking assessment that addresses the impact of renovations on historic buildings and allows the public to weigh in.

“It’s kings who treat public property as private property,” Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, told CBS News in a phone interview. “It’s not his house; it’s our house. And if there is going to be construction and renovation expansion or changes, that should go through a regular public process.”

Gee, quelle surprise: as ever, the only cure for purely partisan D卐M☭CRAT disgruntlement is bigger government, more legislation, and another ream or two of mandatory paperwork to be filled out, turned in, checked for proper compliance with all applicable requirements, standards, and procedures, filed, and forgotten.

Myself, I’d like to take this opportunity to commend to y’all’s attention the pungent, clear-eyed analysis proferred by Luke Yarwood mentioned earlier here: “Violence and murder is the only way now. Start off burning every migrant hotel then head off to MP houses in Parliament. We need to take over by force.” Amen to all that, friend.

Denounce Yarwood’s words as nasty, intemperate, extreme, and/or unacceptable if you like; genuflect before the brazen idols of the Wokester/Leftist temple; proclaim your fealty to the PC Leviathan—the man also happens to be right, and we all know he is. Those of us who are presently just too enlightened and overrefined to hear such strong, no-bull language without either holding their noses in mortified revulsion or just collapsing in a dead faint will be singing a very different tune when the Dismal Tide has finally inundated their AO, I’d bet.

Update! Via Ed, just another case in point re the unalterable mindset of these grabby, self-important dullards.

Catch that operative word, did ya? Unregulated. Quelle horreur! Can’t be having that, now can we, Bernadovitch?

Notable anniversary

Nobody seems to know exactly on which date Ludwig Van Beethoven’s birthday falls, but what is known is that today, Decembef 17th, is the anniversary of his baptism. Which is all the excuse I need to run this.

Assuming I did that right, which I freely admit I may not have, the above vid should begin with the opening of the 2nd movement of my personal favorite of the Beethoven symphonies (ie, the oft-overlooked number 7), and carry on from there.

Just the 2nd and 3rd movements are my faves, I should say; the first movement is alright, I have no real gripe with it, but the 4th just leaves me altogether cold; for whatever reason, I just can’t get with it AT. ALL. Probably on account of I’m an idjit, I suppose.

Really, when it comes to the finales of Beethoven symphonies it’s pretty dang tough to top the triumphant, rousing finale of the famous 5th, sometimes spuriously referred to as the “Fate” Symphony*.

Yeeee-OOOWWWW! Man, music just does not GET any better than that, if you disagree, please keep it under your hat or I cannot be your friend anymore.

* It has been claimed that Beethoven said of the stirring “ dit-dit-dit-DAAAH” riff which opens the Fifth, “Thus Fate knocks at the door.” Hence, the “Fate” Symphony. This tale is almost certainly apocryphal, however; the most credible explanation of it I ever read was that the “Fate” moniker was actually coined by his secretary/publicist, who put it about to generate some extra buzz for his boss’s latest masterwork.

Takes one to know one

Are ALL the hoary old homilies we learned as children going to be proven right as rain as time goes by? Looks like, yeah.

At the University of London, some competitive, if unconvincing, umbrage.

Readers will note that the students, these avowed opponents of racism, refer to themselves, and by extension all black students, as if they were some ancient and unfathomable offshoot of humanity, for whom rapport with outsiders is impossible. And who are supposedly oppressed by the unremarkable fact that, in a white-majority country, their professors will often be white and – as seems unavoidable – older than the students. Readers may also wonder how such exquisitely sensitive creatures will fare when faced with potential employers who may also be paler than themselves and, shockingly, not nineteen.

In short, the students are admitting, albeit unwittingly, that in fact they are the inflexible and bigoted ones, the ones preoccupied with racist and ageist stereotypes, and are incapable of feeling “comfortable” with people whose appearance differs from their own.

Apparently, for them, learning is next to impossible unless they are being taught by people who look just like them, are of a similar age, and who share the assumptions of a subset of nineteen-year-olds who are very much accustomed to flattery and indulgence.

Perhaps the students are too busy issuing grandiose demands to consider the humdrum fact that a person’s knowledge, perspective and experience, from which one hopes to benefit, necessarily take time to accumulate. Or to consider the possibility that stretching oneself beyond the familiar and comfortable is the general idea of education.

Fact is, these people are supremely disinterested in education; for them, it’s always and forever about indoctrination, see. Once you’ve taken that fully aboard, you’ll be amazed at how everything comes together and makes sense all of a sudden-like.

Welcome to this week’s installment of our Wednesday meme feature, folks. Links to the “found via” sources will be attached to the specific MiQ’s (Memes in Question) whenever I can remember them, which likely won’t be very often. Only the first two memes will appear above the fold to save on bandwidth usage, since I assume not everybody who shows up at this here websty will want to see all of them. This intro will appear at the top of each week’s Memezapoppin’! post. Enjoy, funny-pitcher lovers.

Some things never change

England: still a godawful tyranny, just like in the days of our Founding Fathers.

UK Imprisons Man for 17 Days — for Each X View of His ‘Hate’ Speech
British authorities sentenced a Dorset man to 18 months in jail for inciting hate and violence on X in the heated aftermath of the 2024 Southport stabbings that left three children dead and another 10 people injured.

Luke Yarwood’s posts were viewed a total of 33 times before being taken down. If I’ve done my math correctly, that’s nearly 17 days of jail time per view. If I know anything about people, half of those views were Yarwood checking his mentions.

There’s no denying the nasty nature of Yarwood’s posts, sent to X before the identity of the killer — 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana — was known, but was widely misreported to have been a Muslim immigrant. Rudakubana was born in Cardiff, but his parents were evangelical immigrants from Rwanda.

Yarwood’s posts called for “slaughter in the streets” of Muslims and encouraged people to “Head for the hotels housing them and burn them to the ground.”

“Violence and murder is the only way now. Start off burning every migrant hotel then head off to MP houses in Parliament. We need to take over by force,” he wrote.

Even a veteran of intemperate tweets like myself would never post anything like Yarwood did, but still, 33 views? This guy barely incited more racial hatred than Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh in all three Lethal Weapon movies combined. See, that’s funny because one is black and the other is white and they’re basically family and race hardly comes up. I miss movies like those.

Judge Jonathan Fuller said Yarwood had a “preoccupation with immigrants” and an “obsession with Islam,” alongside “extremely right-wing views.”

And now he has almost 17 days of jail time for each time those views were seen by the public.

Message sent and received, five by five.

Indeed so. How typical of all tyrannies, that their hypersensitivity to any and all opposition should blind them to the very real catastrophe they’ve inflicted on themselves.

It doesn’t make a blind bit of difference what or whom Yarwood is or is not “obsessed with,” his God-given right to inveigh against what his lords and masters have brought down on British heads unasked for is absolute. Bitch as I do about what dire shape the FUSA is in these days, I can still be thankful that our Founders—those incomparable 18th-century titans, every one of them—were bold enough, brave enough, and foresighted enough to perceive what the future held in store for the pitiable subjects of His Royal Majesty’s goobermint, and to decide that they wanted no part of it.

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
