Open mouth, insert…foot, this time

Gee, Willie Brown’s dick, her own foot, gallons of cheap vodka daily—as my Grandma used to pointedly inquire whenever she heard somebody cuss (besides herself, natch): you kiss your Mama with that mouth, Kumala?

As Vice President, I have had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times. It is a solemn place; a place where we come together to honor American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this nation.

It is not a place for politics.

And yet, as was reported this week, Donald Trump’s team chose to film a video there, resulting in an altercation with cemetery staff. Let me be clear: the former president disrespected sacred ground, all for the sake of a political stunt.

This is nothing new from Donald Trump. This is a man who has called our fallen service members “suckers” and “losers” and disparaged Medal of Honor recipients.

A man who, during a previous visit to the cemetery, reportedly said of fallen service members, “I don’t get it. What was in it for them?”

This is a man who is unable to comprehend anything other than service to himself.

If there is one thing on which we as Americans can all agree, it is that our veterans, military families, and service members should be honored, never disparaged, and treated with nothing less than our highest respect and gratitude.

And it is my belief that someone who cannot meet this simple, sacred duty should never again stand behind the seal of the President of the United States of America.

I will always honor the service and sacrifice of all of America’s fallen heroes, who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our beloved nation and our cherished freedoms. I mourn them and salute them. And I will never politicize them.

That’s the entirety of Kumala’s ill-advised “Show more” Tweet, to which the response has been…erm, unfortunate, for her at any rate. For starters:

OW, that smarts! And then there’s this:

Oh, Kamala, what have you done? In a move that was scummy even for her, Kamala Harris had the audacity to attack Donald Trump for appearing at the memorial for service members who died at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan. And, by extension, she attacked the Gold Star families who invited him to be there.

Keep in mind the only reason they’re Gold Star families is because Kamala Harris and Joe Biden botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan and got their loved ones killed.

Now those families are responding:

And how. Follows, scads upon scads of stinging video denunciation from said families, which is a joy and a wonder to behold. For us, that is, not for her; not a-tall, in fact. No wonder the stupid, drunk-ass ho’ is so reluctant to be interviewed, debate the opposition candidate (or anybody else) honestly and fairly, or otherwise speak in public any more than she absolutely, positively must. My God, the woman makes even Dotard Jaux Bribem look like a gentleman and a scholar, which is really saying something.

One last excellent riposte I almost forgot to include:

I repeat: OW! Also: YIKES!!

Update! Senator Tom Cotton gets the last truly epic word.

You might think that would be the end of the story. After all, how do you keep pushing a false story that has even been rebuked by the very families involved who lost their loved ones due to Harris’ incompetence? The press took that as a challenge, though, and when Welker faced off against Cotton on Sunday morning, she told an inexcusable lie as she desperately tried to defend the vice president.

WELKER: The bottom line, I guess, though, senator, is it ever appropriate to make campaign content at military grave sites?

COTTON: He didn’t take campaign photos there. These families, Gold Star families, whose children died due to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s incompetence, invited him to the cemetery, and they asked him to take those photos because as they told me yesterday when I spoke to Kelly Barnett and Darren Hoover, the parents of Taylor Hoover, who has Arkansas ties, they don’t get to go to the beach on Labor Day. They don’t get to have BBQs. This is their one chance to have a memory of their children to commemorate their service and to honor their sacrifice. They wanted President Trump there, they wanted to take those photos.

You know who those families also invited? Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Where were they? Joe Biden was sitting at a beach. Kamala Harris was sitting at her mansion in Washington, DC. She was four miles away. Ten minutes. She could’ve gone to the cemetery and honor the sacrifice of those young men and women, but she hasn’t. She never has spoken to them or taken a meeting with them.

WELKER: Well, they did meet with them during the dignified transfer. They were with them during the dignified transfer.

COTTON: It is because of her and Joe Biden’s incompetence that those 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan.

Cotton’s takedown of Welker’s talking points is perfect, not because of some impressive political prowess, but because it’s the truth. The claim that Trump made “campaign content” at Arlington National Cemetery is simply false. None of the pictures with the family have been used in ads or placed in a political context by the Trump campaign. He was there at the behest of the Gold Star families. Given their children died defending this country, I think they have a right to snap a few pictures if they’d like.

This game has long been played (by the) left and the federal bureaucracy. When John McCain took some video of him walking among the gravestones, the press attacked him for it. When Barack Obama and Joe Biden did the same thing (including Biden being pictured in Section 60), no one said a word. No (D)NC official came running out telling them to put the cameras away while accusing them of breaking the rules. Let a Republican show up to honor the fallen though, and suddenly it’s a scandal. The entire thing is so transparent.

What Welker did at the end of that exchange is just inexcusable, though. Cotton specifically said Harris has never spoken to or met with the Abbey Gate Gold Star families, and the anchor jumps in to insist “they” (as in both Biden and Harris) were at the dignified transfer. Kamala Harris was not there, and every attempt by the families to connect with her since has been rebuffed. Biden was there, but he infamously checked his watch multiple times.

The rush by these hack journalists to defend Harris has them now telling outright lies on national television.

Ummm…now, Bonch? Been a good bit longer than that, I’m afraid.

Howard Stern: what happened?

Well, for one thing, by his own choice he went from being a true iconoclast to being a straight-up lunatic.

If money’s your metric, then Howard Stern is the most successful radio personality in American media history. If you consider radio a creative art, then he’s the world’s wealthiest artist. He’s been compensated more money than anyone else in his medium — and by a VERY wide margin.

He makes $130 million annually from Sirius and has a net worth of $900 million. He owns a pair of apartment buildings in New York, 32 villas and properties in Minnesota, Texas, and Virginia, 16 mansions in Florida and California, and over 5,000 acres of real estate. His enormous mega-mansion in Palm Beach, Fla., is estimated to be worth $300 million. (A nearby property in Palm Beach — Mar-a-Lago — was appraised by New York Attorney General Leita James to be worth just $75 million.)

Stern has made more than Rush Limbaugh. More than Hannity, Beck, Imus, and Schlessinger combined. No radio talent has ever matched his checkbook.

For a time, he was so omnipresent in popular culture, that an article like this would never see the light of day. First of all, the premise alone would be preposterous — how the hell is Howard Stern irrelevant?! He’s everywhere! And second, journalists were terrified of Stern. If he turned his spotlight on you, it was brutal: His insanely loyal fans would terrorize you in public. Go ask Kathie Lee Gifford how fun it was to be caught in Stern’s crosshairs.

And really, that was the secret to his success: More than anything else, it was the connection Stern forged with his audience that made him so special. If he had an autograph signing or an appearance somewhere, thousands of his fans would huddle together in the pouring rain — waiting for hours — just to get a glimpse of their radio deity. His book “Private Parts” became the biggest literary smash-hit Simon & Schuster had ever published. His audience hung on to his every word. The emotional bond between him and his audience was unbreakable.

Or so we thought.

Then something strange happened: Howard Stern became the world’s first celebrity to go behind a paywall.

It was a clever move by Sirius: For satellite radio to succeed, they needed to figure out a way to convince audiences to pay for something that they’re accustomed to getting for free. So, if you’re Sirius, what’s the fastest, most efficient way to build a paying audience?

Answer: Find the biggest name in the talk-radio universe with the most loyal audience — fans so faithful, they’ll follow him anywhere — and sign him to an exclusive contract.

And that’s exactly what Sirius did. Stern left terrestrial radio and jumped to satellite in 2006.

Originally, this was pitched to his fans as an amazing new development for creative content: Before, Stern was limited by the FCC. Now, he’s finally free to do the show he’s always wanted to do — it’ll be wilder, crazier, and waaaay more explicit! Oh, can you imagine the antics Stern might pull without any risk of censorship?!

In his first few years at Sirius, Stern was hitting on every cylinder. Those shows were some of the finest of his career: Artie Lange, Eric the Actor (“Ack, ack”), Beetlejuice, Riley Martin, and their merry gang of goofy Wack Packers were skewering sacred cows and delighting millions of ultra-dedicated fans. Back then, when you walked around an office building, you’d usually find multiple people tuning to Stern over the Internet while wearing headphones (or hiding in the parking lot, listening to their Sirius radio), giggling and laughing.

And now?

Nobody under 40 listens to Stern. Nobody under 30 knows could even identify him in a lineup. But whereas older Americans — Gen X-ers and up — still remember Stern as a pioneering shock jock, younger Americans don’t remember him at all.

It’s like he never existed.

Might as well not have, in effect. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer asshole if you ask me, but YMMV.  Oh, and: “terrestrial radio”? As I understand the thing, it’s more atmospheric than terrestrial, but maybe I’m just picking nits on that one.

SF officials cut off noses

Successfully spite own faces.

San Francisco officials weigh in on departure of Elon Musk’s X headquarters: ‘Good riddance’
X owner Elon Musk’s plan to move the social media platform’s headquarters out of San Francisco has some city officials eager to bid farewell to the billionaire’s business.

“I share the perspective that most San Franciscans have, which is good riddance,” city attorney David Chiu told The New York Times.

The outlet noted that San Francisco Mayor London Breed said she had met with Musk “several months ago” but that she didn’t extend offers aimed at keeping X in the city, saying, “I’m not going to beg anybody.”

The report comes after Musk announced last month that he will move the company’s headquarters to Texas in response to a new law enacted by the state of California that prohibits schools from notifying parents if their children want to change their gender identity.

Musk said at the time that X’s headquarters would move to Austin, Texas, while he also announced that SpaceX would relocate its headquarters from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.

He cited the gender identity law as being “the final straw” and attributed the move to “this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies.”

Shortly after Musk announced in July that X would move out of San Francisco, he mentioned issues with the “crazy gross receipts city tax” making it “impossible for financial companies to operate in San Francisco.”

“That’s why Stripe, Block (CashApp), VISA and many others were forced out of San Francisco, as ‘gross receipts’ came to be defined as all transactions processed by a company, even if NOT revenue. That meant companies processing payments either had to leave SF or die,” Musk said last month. “Even if the severe crime problem in SF were to be solved tomorrow, X could not remain in SF and launch payments, as it would immediately fail.”

Will the last sane person to flee what was once one of the most lovely, eminently livable cities in all the world please turn off the lights? Thank you.

Kumala catches a kind of load she ain’t used to, and did not enjoy

JD Vance puts it to the nasty ho’ straight.

JD Vance tells Kamala Harris to ‘go to hell’ after her campaign takes aim at Trump over Arlington incident
ERIE, Pa. — Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) told Vice President Kamala Harris she “can go to hell” Wednesday if she wanted to criticize former President Donald Trump for attending a ceremony honoring the fallen 13 servicemembers who died during the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Vance’s swipe came after the Trump campaign reportedly got into an altercation with a cemetery official at Arlington National Cemetery, who tried to stop them from filming and photographing in Section 60, the burial site for military personnel killed while fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The VP pick was asked to comment on the incident at a campaign event in Erie, Pa. when he became visibly frustrated and sniped that the Democratic presidential nominee “can go to hell” if her team wanted to use it as an opportunity to attack Trump.

He then hit back at Harris for not firing anyone responsible for the withdrawal that happened under her watch.

“The other thing that our veterans care more about is that three years ago, 13 brave innocent Americans died. And they died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job and there hasn’t been a single investigation or a single firing,” he said.

“Kamala Harris is disgraceful. We want to talk about a story out of those 13 brave innocent Americans who lost their lives? It’s that Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she won’t even do an investigation into what happened. And she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up?”

She “can go to hell” he scoffed.

So now even Arlington has been politicized by these wretched scumfucks? No big surprise, I suppose—what hallowed American institution, tradition, or historical/cultural artifact HAVEN’T they weaponized and used for partisan political purposes at this point?—but I do find it pretty sad just the same.

Hit the road, Jack

It’s already been noted by Barry and Kenny in the comments, and happily, it appears to be the genuine article.

Normalcy advocate Robby Starbuck makes Harley-Davidson do a U-turn on woke policies
Conservative boycotts evidently work wonders.

Conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck announced on X Monday that under threat of boycott and amidst a concerted pressure campaign, the 121-year-old motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has scrapped various leftist initiatives.

“We did it again,” wrote Starbuck. “3 for 3. The left fears what I’m doing because it’s effective. The attacks will increase with the plan we have but we have a plan and it accounts for the arrows that will be fired at us. We won’t slow down for anyone.”

Blaze News previously reported that Starbuck and others blasted Tractor Supply, a company established in 1938, for mandating that its employees undergo “LGBTQIA+ training,” for funding sex-change mutilations through its health plan, and for sponsoring so-called family-friendly transvestite performances, as well as for other leftist initiatives.

The exposure was evidently too much to handle, as Tractor Supply announced on June 27 that it had taken the “feedback to heart” and would no longer volunteer data to the powerful LGBT activist group that calls itself the Human Rights Campaign; would ditch “DEI roles and retire [its] current DEI goals”; and would jettison its carbon emission goals.

When similarly targeted for liberation, John Deere similarly traded the LGBT colors back for the red, white, and blue, indicating it would “no longer participate in or support external social or cultural awareness parades, festivals, or events” and would be taking additional steps to shore up customer trust.

Last month, Starbuck launched his latest campaign: a boycott of Harley-Davidson, a once-beloved motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1903.

In a series of social media posts and videos, he provided fuel for a Bud Light-style boycott, alleging that the company:

  • supports legislation that would enable men to enter “girl’s bathrooms, sports and locker-rooms”;
  • required thousands of employees to undertake training on “how to become LGBTQ+ allies”;
  • was a founding member of Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce — a group that opposed a law that would have saved children from sex-change mutilations;
  • celebrated two additional “Months of Inclusion” beside so-called Pride Month;
  • worked on having “less White suppliers, dealers and employees”;
  • partnered yearly with “Pride Ride”; and
  • partnered with the Human Rights Campaign on non-straight activism, ultimately securing a 90/100 rating on the HRC’s CEI index.

Starbuck also highlighted some statements made and actions taken by the company’s German-born CEO, Jochen Zeitz, that might prickle customers, including:

  • his boast that his corporate activism had at least one peer calling him the “sustainable Taliban”;
  • signing of a joint letter to the COP28 presidency demanding an end to fossil fuels;
  • criticism of President Donald Trump for leaving the Paris Agreement;
  • committal of Harley-Davidson to the UN Global Compact; and
  • advocacy for DEI.

“I don’t think the values at corporate reflect the values of nearly any Harley Davidson bikers,” wrote Starbuck. “Do Harley riders want the money they spend at Harley to be used later by corporate to push an ideology that’s diametrically opposed to their own values?”

Whatever pressure Americans helped apply in concert with the conservative filmmaker appears to have been enough.

At noon on Monday, Harley-Davidson stated on X, “We are saddened by the negativity on social media over the last few weeks, designed to divide the Harley-Davidson community. As a Company, we take this issue very seriously, and it is our responsibility to respond with clarity, action and facts.”

Harley-Davidson claimed that pursuant to an internal stakeholder review initiated earlier this year, the company has kicked its supplier diversity spend goals to the curb and does not have hiring quotas. It noted further that its “DEI function” has been dead since April 2024 and the company does “not have a DEI function today.”

More yet at the link, all of it heady, enheartening stuff. Sincerest kudos and a hearty Yo Ho Ho for swashbuckling “Normalcy Advocate” Robbie Starbuck, who says he very much digs his new title, as well he might. I know plenty of CF Lifers don’t much care one way or the other about Harley-Davidson, which is their good right. Ultimately, though, the Motor Company being hauled off into Wokester oblivion would have been another resounding victory for the Goosesteppin’ Left—something we can ill-afford more of, greasy, grubby bikers and cage-driving squarejohns alike. So good on ya, Mr Starbuck sir, keep up the fine work.

WELL. Well, well, well, well, well, well, WELL!

RFK Jr. considering dropping out to ‘join forces’ with Trump, Nicole Shanahan says
Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering dropping out of the 2024 race to “join forces” with former President Donald Trump, his running mate revealed Tuesday.

“There’s two options that we’re looking at, and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and [Tim] Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump,” Nicole Shanahan, the independent candidate’s vice presidential pick, said during an appearance on the “Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu” podcast.

The other option?

“We walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump…and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision,” Shanahan said.

“Not an easy decision,” the 38-year-old independent VP candidate added.

Shanahan indicated that she would be more comfortable with Trump and his vice presidential pick, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), running the country than with Harris and Walz.

Trump, 78, reportedly met with Kennedy in Milwaukee last month, on the first day of the Republican National Convention, in an effort to gain his endorsement.

During those talks, the two men discussed the possibility that Trump could give Kennedy a cabinet or lower-level position in his administration, the Washington Post reported.

What the hell, why not. Now admittedly, RFKJr is something of a flake, particularly as regards the phonus-balonus Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather)™ scam. That said, though, he’s the only D卐M☭CRAT currently extant who even comes close to making any sense at all, on most any other policy, political/ideological principle, or topic you’d care to name. I wouldn’t at all mind seeing him “join forces” with Team Trump, if only for the delightful paroxysms of hysteria, heartburn, and angst such a nose-tweaking would bring about for shitlibs.

Oh, and my post title? It’s from a moldy-goldie-oldie you greybeards will surely recall.

What can one say but: Heh. Indeed.

Newsweek Says Republicans Are Spreading Rumors About Kamala Harris’ ‘Drinking Problem’
Forget all the rumors you’ve heard about Nancy Pelosi having a drinking problem — now Republicans are spreading rumors about Kamala Harris and her supposed drinking problem. We’ll have to read the piece to find just how widespread this is. We’ve heard rumors about Harris’ intelligence; Donald Trump has said she’s not a very smart person.

How would such a rumor get started, anyway? It’s not like Harris serves up word salad for every meal and cackles at her own jokes.

Frankly, it would explain a lot if Harris had a drinking problem. If this is her sober…

Of course, there IS one other possibility here.

Hey, you pays your money and you takes your choice, D卐M☭CRATs.

Let’s you and him fight

We can but hope.

Cops Are Reportedly Calling in Sick: Will DNC Violence Be Worse Than 1968?
The Democratic National Convention kicks off in Chicago on Monday, and the city has been bracing for violence and riots. Businesses started boarding up their windows and doors last week due to the many thousands of antisemitic, pro-Palestinian protesters expected to descend on the area organized by more than 200 different groups. Some are saying it could be reminiscent of the violence that plagued the 1968 DNC, which was also in Chicago.

Chicago law enforcement dismisses that idea.

“Chicago 2024 won’t be like Chicago 1968. That is the promise of law-enforcement officials and protest organizers alike as the curtain prepares to lift on this year’s Democratic National Convention,” the Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend. “Each side says it aims to maintain the peace even as thousands are expected to demonstrate against the war in Gaza, abortion restrictions and on other hotly contested issues.”

That may just be wishful thinking. According to some reports on social media, more than 1,000 officers are calling in sick.

While we cannot independently verify this, it makes perfect sense. In light of recent history, who in the police department wants to put their lives on the line for these people?

Meanwhile, Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-Ill.) says that 150 members of the Illinois National Guard are “on standby” for the DNC.

Obviously, we hope that there won’t be violence and no one gets hurt, but the signs of pending chaos have been there for months. If more than a thousand police officers have called in sick, they’re going to be severely outmanned, and that’s a recipe for disaster.

Sorry, Matt, you know I love ya and all, but speak for yourself on that one. Me, I’m rooting for mass casualties, as many as possible—the vast majority of them DRTs, hopefully. If the Dims and their freaks, pAntiFa geeks, Jew-obssessed psychos, and sundry professional-victim-class losers burn Chicago to the fucking ground and leave a smoking ruin in their wake, hey, I’m fine with it.

Update! WINDY CITY FORECAST: Unseasonably high rhetorical temperatures, with widely scattered rioting and severe lawlessness likely over the next several days; chance of bodies stacked in windrows exceeding 90%.

Crime-filled Chicago displays all that’s wrong with Democrats in one failing city
If the message of this week’s Democratic National Convention is “We’re going to make America more like Chicago” then run for the hills.

Chicago is the murder capital of America — with someone shot every two hours and someone killed every 17 hours. So far this year, 353 victims, most of them black, have been murdered in Chicago. The homicide rate is five times higher than New York’s.

“Democrats wanted to hold the convention somewhere safer, but Beirut wasn’t available,” quipped one wag.

Chicagoans thought Lightfoot was bad, but Johnson’s embrace of Chicago’s sanctuary-city status and exploitation of racial grievances has taken crime and disorder to a new level, with an influx of illegal migrants threatening to bankrupt the collapsing city budget and angering black Chicagoans.

Last week, a black pastor warned Democrats that many black Chicagoans are so fed up they are considering deserting the party.

“Black people have been with the Democratic Party for over 60 years and we have nothing,” Pastor David Lowery Jr. told reporters. “We don’t own anything in our community…All we have is crime and problems.”

Sorry dipshit, but seeing as how we both know you’ll be voting en masse for Kumala this fall no matter what, my sympathy for you, your congregants, and your nightmarish urban hellscape is, shall we say, limited to nonexistent.

Hillbilly elegy

JD Vance, who I really do like and consider an excellent VP pick (for whatever that’s worth)—because fuck you, that’s why—sits down for a chat with the good ol’ NYP.

JD Vance reveals Trump campaign’s plans for him, his strategy against Walz in exclusive interview

Okay, minor quibble: Tampon Tim AWOLz is such a complete trainwreck of a dumpster-fire of a total loss of a disaster, the living embodiment of one of my all-time favorite insults—“the guy’s an empty suit”—does any serious person really think he’s even worth bothering with formulating any kind of “strategy” for dealing with? Just sit back and let the flabby Commie dolt augur in on his own hook; t’is enough, t’will suffice, seems to me. Which notion, as we descry in the next excerpt, Vance seems to be cognizant of his own self.

On Wednesday, Vance sat down with The Post aboard the newly-redecorated “Trump Force Two” airplane and spoke about his future in the campaign and his efforts to focus on showing the critical salt-of-the-earth voters in middle-American swing states how Trump’s economic and other domestic policies are constructed with the middle class in mind.

“The campaign obviously wants me to spend a lot of time in the Industrial Midwest,” Vance said, noting he will do more rallies and press conferences in the critical swing state region. “The disproportionate amount of my time is going to be in these three states.”

Trump’s advisers told reporters last week in West Palm Beach that they see Vance as another voice to spread Trump’s messaging.

He was chosen from a list of other potential VP candidates partly due to Donald Trump Jr., his friend, vouching for him as a loyal member of the MAGA movement. The younger Trump said in an Axios interview at the Republican National Convention that he thinks Vance has a “very high chance” of being elected as president in 2028, extending the Trump legacy movement.

Vance seemed genuinely surprised when The Post brought up the Trump Jr. prediction for 2028.

He said a presidential run has not been a conversation within the Trump team and that “we have to win first.”

But the 40-year-old did indicate some openness to running for the presidency, depending on what happens.

“I’m very focused on winning this race and I think if, you know – we’ll see where things go, but let’s win this race first,” Vance said.

Like Trump, Vance has been especially hammering Harris during the past week, and has been focusing less on her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz – despite the Harris VP pick directly attacking him by making reference to a fake and lewd Democrat meme.

In light of the Walz attacks, Vance said he will not “fight fire with fire.”

“I don’t expect to personally go after him. I think everything that I’ve said about him, that I will say about him, I’ve already said and I’ll just keep repeating it,” Vance said told The Post.

He will continue making reference to Walz mischaracterizing his military record, because the “stolen valor” “bothers” him, Vance said.

As well it might, and damned well ought to do, not just for Vance but all red-blooded Americans. Plenty more good, bracing stuff at the link, of which you should read the etc.

SIDE NOTE #UN: Expect to see more from the NY Post around this hogwallow in days to come; after attempting for months to sign up and getting the “Sorry, something went wrong, try again later” error message again and again, I finally figgered out a workaround and got myself enrolled on the Post’s email list, which I’m glad of. Next I need to unsubscribe from several others I never signed up for in the first place, namely several iterations of the Epoch Times (ET Health, ET Science, &c), the Spectator, and a handful of others.

Not that I have anything in particular against the aforementioned outlets, mind. It’s just that their articles are all paywalled, which to my way of thinking renders several-times-per-day emails from them the moral equivalent of spam. I stopped even scanning the headlines in those emails long ago, actually; now, I just dump ‘em in the trash as and when they come over the transom of my various email accounts. Time to do a little Thunderbird inbox-decluttering, methinks.

Such email lists are a heck of a handy-dandy resource for any Pyrsyns Of Blogge, provided you have the patience, discipline, and iron-willed perseverance to wade through the dross, dreck, and drivel to get to the useful stuff. Since I’ve been a fan of the Post going all the way back to my NYC days (when dinosaurs ruled the Earth), I’m betting this will be one sub I’ll get lots of inspirational mileage out of.

Although I gotta say, I dislike how the Post’s list breaks things down into separate emails for each individual article: one headline, a short excerpt, and link per email. None of the other lists I’m on go about it this way, which I think makes way more sense for all concerned. The Post’s convoluted, byzantine arrangement results in a veritable tsunami of emails throughout the course of the day, which is a bit of a nuisance. To wit: after signing up this mid-morning, I’ve so far received more than a dozen missives from the NYP. Seems to me that a single all-inclusive daily mailing would fit the bill quite nicely, be more efficient for whichever wage-slave(s) at the Post is/are charged with this task, and would certainly be less hassle for moi. But hey, what the hell do I know, right?

SIDE NOTE #DEUX: As I hunt ’n’ pecked out that last sentence, three (3) more Post emails came in. *Le sigh*

Elon for Mt Rushmore!

If anybody’s earned the next new spot, I’d say he has.

How Much Is Elon Musk Willing to Lose to Protect Free Speech?
Elon Musk is clearly a different breed of cat, but not enough people appreciate how utterly preposterous his life actually is. He’s not just marching to the beat of a different drummer; he’s breakdancing to the beat of his own turntable.

Imagine Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg moonlighting as the CEO of General Motors, while also running Boeing. Impossible, right? It’s beyond mindboggling! But via running Twitter (X), Tesla, and SpaceX — multibillion-dollar corporate conglomerates each — that’s essentially what Musk is doing. (And when he wasn’t doing that, a few years earlier he cofounded OpenAI, the world’s most influential artificial intelligence company.)

If Elon Musk didn’t exist and a writer invented him for a screenplay, the audience would reject it: Too farfetched. Would never happen in real life.

And by the way, among the (many) things I’ve overlooked — i.e. developing Neuralink, launching global Internet access with Starlink, revolutionizing digital sales with X.com/PayPal, the Boring Company — each would easily qualify as a career-defining magnum opus for anyone else. But with Musk, they’re kind of superfluous.

When you’re the man who invented today’s electrical car industry AND privatized space travel, it makes the impossible look mundane.

But his riskiest business endeavor is the one he’s taking now: Elon Musk, champion of free speech.

Risking billions to protect an audience that isn’t his.

It wasn’t always like this: Until relatively recently, Musk was beloved by the left. He guest-starred on “The Simpsons” (collaborating with Homer), he mingled with Tony Stark in “Iron Man 2,” and he was the Patron Saint of environmentalists everywhere.

Then he started talking about social issues and tweeting about politics. Shortly thereafter, he bought Twitter for $44 billion.

Before Musk bought Twitter, 47 percent of Democrats believed Twitter was good for American democracy. Afterwards, that number dropped to 24 percent. (Wonder why?) The number of Democrats who complained about Twitter containing inaccurate or misleading information jumped from 54 percent to 68 percent. Whereas just 29 percent of Republicans said harassment and abuse was a “major problem” on Twitter, a whopping 65 percent of Democrats now disagree with them.

New polling hasn’t been recorded since Musk endorsed Donald Trump and hosted a “conversation” with him on Twitter, but it’s safe to assume that it probably didn’t increase his fandom on the left.

In all probability, his numbers have plunged significantly further. I’m talking subterranean.

At first blush, Musk seems to be an odd candidate for the Democrats’ vitriol: In addition to his environmental bona fides, he’s never once claimed to be a conservative! He describes himself as “politically moderate,” and he voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012, Hillary Clinton in 2016, and Joe Biden in 2020. That’s not exactly Pat Buchanan 2: The Electric Boogaloo.

But right now, Elon Musk is up there with Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, and Jordan Peterson: They’re the current Mount Rushmore of Men who Terrify the Crap Out of (the ) Left.

Yet these are the same people that Musk needs to buy electric cars.

It’s easy to be jaded and cynical. We’re so used to being disappointed by our heroes, cynicism has almost become our default-setting. But what Elon Musk is doing today is truly the most astonishing “Profiles in Courage” in American business history: The world’s richest man is jeopardizing the source of his wealth to protect the free speech of an audience that despises him.

It used to be known colloquially as “putting your money where your mouth is,” although it’s vanishingly rare to see it put into practice nowadays. Which just makes Elon’s rock-ribbed free speech absolutism all the more admirable, if you ask me.

EU fascists threaten Musk, Musk responds

Not just appropriately—PERFECTLY, in actual fact.

Up your ass with jagged glass, EU fascists. The more Elon shows us of his, erm, feistier side, the more I have to like the guy.

Liar, coward, Blue Falcon

All you really need to know about VP candidate designate/select Brigadier LT GEN Tim “A-hole” AWOLz.

Eh, natzofast there, John. Actually, as I understand it, it was NOT his “right” to “retire early.” His contractual service commitment was not due to expire until 2007, but when word came down in late 2005 that his cannon-cocker unit would soon be deploying to Iraq, he summarily dropped out—after shitting himself in sheer terror, of course. After cleaning his drawers he decided to become a professional D卐M☭CRAT politician, which requires one to lie continuously, about anything and everything, which Gov AWOLz clearly has no problem with. At the same time he summarily decided, on his own (nonexistent) authority, that his fledgling career as a scum-sucking ProPol would be helped along enormously if he retained his brevet rank as Command Master Chief First Top Bird Colonel DELTA Force Power Ranger Sergeant of the US Army indefinitely, even though he was neither empowered nor entitled to do so.

So he did. And the rest, as they say, is history. Y’know, like America That Was, umm, is.

Tim “A-hole” AWOLz as Vice President? Sure, why the hell not. After all, it’s not as if we haven’t already thoroughly disgraced ourselves before a watching world anyway, now is it? In the famous words of America’s First Female “President,” what difference, at this point, does it make?

US Vs “Great” Britainistan Round III

So the Limeys think they want ANOTHER damned rematch, do they?

Video: UK Cops Threaten to Extradite and Jail Americans for Online Speech
Elon Musk is among the American citizens who could be targeted for censorship and legal retaliation by open-borders cops in the UK.

Chief Mark Rowley of Greater London’s Metropolitan Police Service threatened to charge and jail American citizens who post online from their own country in support of UK demonstrations against mass third-world migration and the years of violent crime that have come along with it.

Police in the UK have arrested and charged hundreds of native-born citizens thus far with a litany of speech-related crimes, with some of them being tried, convicted, and sentenced to years in prison, in just a matter of days. While promising more arrests, Rowley set his sights on American citizens and others who’ve shown support for the protest movement, which comes in direct response to the triple murder of three children by an African living on British soil.

“We will throw the full force of the law at people,” Rowley told reporters at a press conference. “And whether you’re in this country committing crimes on the streets, or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you.”

I’ll just let Bill handle that bit of light work for me.

Dickhead Dictator from Shithole Country Threatens Americans
Listen carefully, you pisspot loudmouth. As an American citizen I voice my full, wholehearted support for the brave British patriotic resisters opposing your communist attempts to destroy them and their nation, and I devoutly hope that you and those like you in your white-hating racist dictatorship are soon dragged off to meet the same end the aristocrats of France suffered during the French Revolution.

Our forefathers who created the United States of America showed us how to deal with the likes of you, when you tried to enforce your filthy, tyrannical laws on them in their own land. They killed you and your hired mercenaries where you stood. Our state of Texas alone has more heavily armed men and women than your entire nation. If you wish to meet the same fate, feel free to put your feet on American soil and try to oppress Americans in the same way you do your slaves at home. Do that, and I can promise you that you will never oppress anyone ever again.

Seconded, word for fucking word, one hundred and ten fucking percent, with all my heart and fucking soul, right down the fucking line, with fucking whipped cream on fucking top. Mr Rowley, sir (spelled with a C and a U, please note), you just feel free to come get my insolent Yankee Doodle Dandy ass any time you feel froggy enough, you light-in-the-loafers, Muzzy-scrote-lapping Britweasel poofter. As Dashiell Hammett’s unforgettable Continental Op character once cautioned, with a rueful shake of the head: Better get help.*

Since I brought it up and all, I can’t resist re-running the likewise-brilliant Raymond Chandler’s ebullient praise of his forebear Hammett one mo’ time again, culled from Chandler’s seminal collection of essays analyzing and explicating the detective noir oeuvre, “The Simple Art of Murder.”

Hammett gave murder back to the kind of people that commit it for reasons, not just to provide a corpse; and with the means at hand, not with hand-wrought dueling pistols, curare, and tropical fish…He is said to have lacked heart, yet the story he thought most of himself [The Glass Key] is the record of a man’s devotion to a friend. He was spare, frugal, hard-boiled, but he did over and over again what only the best writers can ever do at all. He wrote scenes that seemed never to have been written before.

Precisely so, sir. Of course, the same can be said of Mr Chandler as well. To their everlasting glory, these two titans of ‘Murkin fiction elevated a genre that had, until their advent, been snootily derogated as vulgar tabloid trash to the lofty summit of bona fide High Art™ status, sheepish and conflicted as they themselves sometimes seemed to feel about such exaltation. Myself, I’ve always found it surpassing strange that any serious, fair minded, bookish-type personage could come away from a careful exploration of their work with any other conclusion.

Subject matter be damned: the writing itself is unfailingly taut, spare, impactful, riveting. Their words float like a butterfly, sting like a gargantuan bee, hit like a George Foreman tooth-loosener right in the puss. This is writing that will knock you out; pick you up off the canvas; help you to your corner; and then come back at you swinging—again and again and again. And God help you, you will LOVE it. That’s how strong this stuff is. It’s downright addictive, that’s what.

Of course and as always, YMMV on all this. But in all honesty, it shouldn’t, it really, really shouldn’t. If it does, you’re more to be pitied than censured, that’s my view.

To sum up, then: FUCK Mark Rowley; FUCK the British government; FUCK the turncoat Brit coppers who are willing to arrest their own fellow Britishers for defending themselves and their families against a Mooselimb immivader horde inflicted on them by said government; and FUCK any and every sucker of dead donkey dick in our own shitheel goobermint who would dare to even dream of assisting Mr Rowley with his threatened “extradition” of Real Americans to his Moslem-conquered shitrapy.

I repeat: anytime you’re feeling froggy enough, ass-chancre. Let’s just see how that works out for ya in the end.

* Alas, the Op’s perfect riposte isn’t actually findable at the link, which only provides the barest bit of context; I couldn’t find the quote posted anywhere, but I knew it was from Red Harvest—one of Hammett’s finest, most fully-realized efforts (which is truly saying something), a book I’ve read and re-read who even knows how many times over lo, these many years—so I was forced to make do with whatever I could lay my hands on in the way of a supporting link. The Op’s characteristically blunt and concisely-put advice/threat/promise was issued in response to Head Poisonville Bad Guy Elihu Wilsson (ironically enough, the very malefactor who hired the Op to “clean up Personville” in the first place) ordering his manservant to throw the Op out of his palatial mansion bodily; the butler was extremely dubious about his ability to do so, which wise dubiety the Op reinforced via the above quip.

PARTHIAN SHOT! If you think yourself a fan of the detective noir genre but have somehow (incomprehensibly, inexplicably, inexcusably) missed out on Red Harvest, The Dain Curse, The Glass Key, or any other stories from Hammett’s Continental Op canon—not to even mention non-Op essentials such as The Thin Man and The Maltese Falcon—why good LORD man, what on earth are you WAITING for, prithee tell?

Update! Via Glenn.

Again: seconded, with all my heart and soul. I mean, seriously now: from “Rule Britannia,” the Miracle of Dunkirk, the London Blitz, Fairbairn and Sykes, the SBS/SAS, Sandhurst, to…to…to this contemptible, sorry spectacle of supine self-beclownment? From Churchill to Thatcher to…Starmer? From stiff upper lip to bending the knee? From colonizer to colonized? From rugby ruffians and soccer hooligans to Manwoman dick-choppers? From globe-spanning Empire to beggar-boy socialism to Moslem-majority laughingstock in only a few generations?!? Keee-RIST!!

So, so sad. One can’t help but be a little bit embarrassed for the pusillanimous pantywaists. A very, very little bit.

Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover Oliver Cromwell again.

Overthrow the government NOW!

ALL the governments: (not) Great Britain, Ireland, France, Churmany, Amerika v2.0—ALL of them.

It’s difficult to improve upon this Tweeter’s summation of the present state of the United Kingdom:

However, just for the record, from the BBC:

The attack was not terror-related, police said.

No, of course not, perish the thought. Is it ever, really?

Well, it certainly struck terror into the heart of Southport. But presumably Merseyside Constabulary meant that the perp was not a card-carrying member of a recognised terrorist organisation acting on instructions from a renowned terrorist mastermind. Instead, as merely yet another paid-up member of the Amalgamated Union of Lone Wolves, he fatally stabbed two young children at a Taylor Swift “dance workshop”, and injured nine more, six of them critically. [UPDATE: A third victim has died. Three dead, all girls – six, seven and nine.]

As is now traditional on such occasions, police profess to be baffled by the “motive” for the attack.

Perhaps the notion that there can be a plausible “motive” for the stabbing of infants is not terribly helpful. Motivated or not, Europe has rather a lot of it.

America has mass shootings; Europe has mass stabbings. From Southport to Annecy to Dublin, your kid goes to a dance class…or the park…or her kindergarten – and gets stabbed. Eva and I used to cover these motive-less “incidents” on The Mark Steyn Show soberly and honestly, in part because:

a) very few other people did, save for Tommy Robinson, whom the British state has now driven into exile; and

b) there is not a lot to be said for a polity willing to sacrifice its youngest and most vulnerable on the altar of “diversity”. Such a society will not survive, and indeed does not deserve to.

And yet the state, in Britain as in Europe, seems to be making a conscious effort to accept occasional child sacrifice as a routine feature of life. If one were genuinely baffled by motive, one might expect a bit more effort in media reports as to why this happened, instead of tedious examples without end of the ghastly hand-wringing passivity of official reaction, from the King and his first minister down – and zero coverage of the realities of the crime and the truth about its perpetrator.

Which cumulatively suggests that this is just the price one has to pay for the vibrant multiculti utopia the Uniparty has brought us: Don’t worry, there won’t be a lot of it, we’ll try to hold it down to what the cynics at the Home Office used to call (with respect to Irish terrorism) “an acceptable level of violence”. But once in a while your moppet will go to a Taylor Swift workshop and not come home.

Against expectations, the sheep-like British general populace r’ared up on their hindlegs en masse to protest the bleedin’ ‘ell out of what’s been done to them and to their once-proud, long since enfeebled nation—intentionally and with malice aforethought—by their blighted government, thereby spurring the vile PM to LEAP into action with tremendous vim and vigor to let the revoltin’ peasants know, in no uncertain terms, just exactly what’s what.

British prime minister condemns spreading violent protests as ‘far-right thuggery’
Aug. 4 (UPI) — Prime Minister Keir Starmer of Britain condemned violent protests that have erupted throughout the country following last week’s brutal stabbing spree as “far-right thuggery” that will be met with the “full force of the law.”

In a televised address on Sunday, Starmer warned those either participating in the violence or fueling it online that they will “regret taking part in this disorder.”

“This is not protest. It is organized, violent thuggery. And it has no place on our street or online,” he said.

Violence instigated by far-right protesters has erupted throughout cities in Britain after three children were killed and eight others were wounded, five critically, in a stabbing spree committed July 29 at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in the seaside town of Southport. Two adults were also injured.

We’re all chuffed to know for sure whose side he’s on, I’m sure. Carry on then, lads; cheerio, cor blimey, stiff upper lip and all that, wot wot. I s’y mates, cracking good show, eh? God save the King Mahdi, and may the sun never set on His Holy Caliphate. Too right, and well done!

Overthrow ALL the governments? That’s exactly what I said, bub, and that’s exactly what I meant too, damned skippy. When a government defiantly, bare-facedly demonstrates itself to be the enemy of its people—as all the above-mentioned ones among plenty of others indubitably have done—what recourse is left to those it misrules, affronts, and abuses but to rid themselves of it by any and/or all means necessary? Unpleasant, unpalatable, and just downright terrifying as the prospect is…well, as I always say, here we all are just the same.

So be it then. Let all peoples immiserated by a malevolent Leviathan-state cast aside doubt, abjure fear, and steel their resolve for the long, brutal struggle inevitably to come—a truly existential conflict, waged against a monstrous, merciless adversary—in which there will be no “Participant” trophies awarded post bellum, nor any “Chairborne Warrior” medals with “Perfect Attendance” cluster. Nope, I’m afraid pretty much every ambulatory swingin’ Richard is gonna be a shooter & looter for the impending festivities, if only due to the inescapable reality that today, tomorrow, next week, next month, et al the hostilities won’t be held in some distant, far-flung locale with an unpronouncable foreign name and bewildering street-signs that have way too many consonants painted on. This time, no matter how fast and far you run or how cleverly you hide, the battlefield will always be right there; in your town, your neighborhood, your block, your street, your lawn. For most of us, it will be a binary solution-set consisting strictly of two (2) choices: go marching off to war, or let the war come to you. Which, like it or not, I assure you it will.

That being so, let all eyes be opened, the better to see and know the face of The Enemy. Let The Enemy be taught to fear us instead of holding us in contempt, as He has for far too long a time. Let Him forever rue the day when first He made the mortal miscalculation of considering We The People to be His inferiors—His servants, rather than His masters. Let Him pay for these and innumerable similarly blunderous misunderestimations (heh; sorry) dearly, excruciatingly, immensurably—a settling of the karmic debt in turn giving birth to an agony graven so heavily onto whatever passes for His coal-black soul that the pain of it will never dwindle, much less dissipate altogether. Pain so persistent, so incredibly powerful that, in fact, He’ll never know another restful night’s sleep for the vivid Technicolor severity of the recurring nightmares.

One more time: Said it, meant it, don’t give a drizzlin’ shit if it harelips every cannibal on the Congo. To adapt the words of a lionhearted Founding Patriot whose slow recession from America’s collective memory shames us all: if this be Fedposting, make the most of it.

ADDENDUM: Yeh, yeh, I know it’s Wednesday night, and getting sorta late to boot. Spent more time getting this post put together than I really ought to’ve, it sorta put me behind on the meme thang. Happily, all’s I gotta do to get Memezapoppin’ up and at ‘em is just finish the dang thing; having started work on it last night, it’s already about halfway assembled, so pas de sweat. Sit tight, peeps.
