Unreal

This is fine.

Now, some booming economy deniers, Russian bots or anti-vaxxers will doubtless point to all the “evidence” that the US economy is not booming.

They’ll probably point out that inflation is at a 40 year high, and likely to keep on rising.

That the current price of gas is the highest ever in US history.

That the US is expected to enter a recession by the end of the year.

Several more cheery items full of optimism, hope, and positive waves follow before we get to the root of most, if not all, of or problems.

…that’s enough sarcasm for now. It’s time to circle back to reality, because that is what’s missing here.

Reality.

People cannot afford gas or heat or food or rent. The price of everything is increasing even as wages lag behind inflation. Everywhere you shop you buy less and spend more.

If all of that can be translated into “booming”, then “the economy” itself becomes a nonsense concept so abstract and removed from real-life experience that it is either entirely fictional or completely irrelevant.

We just lived through a fake pandemic. We know we have rigged elections. “The economy” is apparently meaningless.

How much of what we see and hear in the mass media has any grounding in reality at all? We know it’s not 100%, and it could easily be as little as none.

Whatever the unreality quotient is, I think it’s safe to say that it’s one HELL of a lot closer to the latter figure than the first one. And that’s just for Establishment Media; the Left is well into the negative numbers by now, actively sucking the very fabric of reality into its own nothingness like a black hole.

Though it’s gonna be a tough thing to do, I’ll lay off the excerpting here. Dark as it is, this one is absolutely a Do. Not. MISS. Hie thyselves thither and partake of it, gang, for it is damned good. Bottom line:

It’s not accidental, it’s not a by-product of “the system”, it’s not the inevitable fallout of capitalism – it is directed, deliberate and malign. They are trying to make you poor, they said so.

They want you to suffer. They want you to be cold and hungry and not to mind, or even know.

They want you sitting in your rented one-room flat, shivering under fifty layers of rented clothes, sipping your rented cup of GMO-cabbage water, and nodding in approval because the rented television says the economy is doing well.

They want you to “reject the evidence of your ears and eyes”, because making people believe a lie – especially an obvious, irrational, impossible lie – is the purest form of power and the ultimate form of control.

Annnnd bingo. Nothing to add from here.

Are you are as impressed as I am?

No, not in the least.

800-Volt EV Charging: The Other Palliative for Range Anxiety
Taking 18 minutes to charge to 80 percent makes top-up pit stops suddenly more palatable

Not to anybody who remembers that the last time he gassed up his current ICE vehicle it didn’t take him even five minutes, it ain’t…and that was filling his tank completely, not stopping at 80% and then calling it a “top-up.” Not to even mention that said ICE vehicle cost him around thirty-forty grand to buy, considerably less than the hefty 56k-and-up tariff the little Green Weenie windup toys bring along for the ride.

“Range anxiety” has been a headline concern for electric vehicles. Some automakers keep trying to soothe it with ever-larger and heavier battery packs, so that consumers can go farther between charges.

The problem is that lithium-ion cells remain expensive, heavy, and in critically short supply around the world. And battery bulk alone, especially in monstrously powerful trucks, can be a short route to a relatively inefficient and prohibitively expensive EV.

The Hyundai Ioniq5 and Kia EV6 that I recently tested—a pair of wildly impressive, high-design EVs—take a different approach to solving range anxiety: an 800-volt battery architecture that delivers some of the fastest charging in the EV game, and unheard of at these price levels. These handsome crossover SUVs might not be able to cruise for 7 hours on the highway, like the 500-mile-range Lucid Air. But their ability to charge to 80 percent capacity in as little as 18 minutes shows how EVs might circumvent the problem of battery overkill and still be fully viable as interstate cruisers.

The Hyundai, especially, left fellow drivers doing double takes and whipping out phone cameras.

But not their checkbooks, one may have noticed. So far at least, the only proven way to move EVs off the showroom floor and into peoples’ garages is for goobermint to mitigate the heart-stopping sticker shock with a nice subsidy package—or, to put it more honestly, a bribe for swallowing the multitudinous downsides of these Loser Cruisers, at the government’s (taxpayer’s) expense. (HINT TO LIBTARDS: Having to resort to bribery to sell a products is NOT an indication of said product’s popularity with consumers. Quite the opposite, actually.) We won’t even go into the many other disincentives that add up to make EVs a very hard sell indeed. Like, say, the very real and serious risk that your shiny new EV strugglebuggy might explode and/or spontaneously burst into flames, taking down your house along with it.

TITLE BACKSTORY: Back in the middle/late 70s I had an interaction—an abbreviated one, for reasons which ought to soon be apparent—with the manager/salesman of one of CLT’s perennially cellar-dwelling music stores, the name of which I don’t remember. I had wandered in there out of sheer desperation in search of a pack of whatever semi-obscure guitar strings I was enamored of back then, kidding myself that I’d be more likely to find off-brand strings in an off-brand store—a hopeful hypothesis which the science would invalidate posthaste.

Music Store Dude’s idea about my quest for cheap but effective guitar strings did NOT concur with my own, oh no no. According to his professional Music Store Dude expertise, what I really wanted was a brand new, all-chipboard-no-tube, cheaply made, sounds like the worst cheap-beer-and-Indian-food morning-after diarrhea-dook you ever took smelled like, Peavey guitar amplifier. Having one of those crimes against rock and roll all plugged in and ready to befoul the air long before my entry into the shop had made the little bell hung over the door go “ding,” MSD leapt into Sell! Sell! Sell! mode, turned the offensive thing on, and began idly strumming the guitar he had been holding in his lap. After each chord, the guitar’s melodious tone curdled into a gnarly, muddy mess courtesy of that sorry-ass Peavey. Then Music Store Dude would beatifically roll his eyes Heavenward as he repeated the corny mantra that had clearly been drummed into him in the Salesmanship 101 course he had flunked out of in community college: Are you as impressed as I am? Are you as impressed as I am? ARE YOU AS IMPRESSED AS I AM?

There was but one answer to be made to this increasingly aggressive query, to which I immediately resorted in self-defense: I muttered, semi-sotto voce, something along the lines of Sorry, gotta go, I think I hear my friends at Reliable Music shouting for me. Which is where I kicked up my heels and hurried off to without further delay, and bought the stupid pack of strings that had so nearly brought a strange doom crashing down upon my head—Death by Shitty Guitar Tone. I should’ve just gone to Reliable in the first place. I don’t know why I hadn’t, but it was a mistake I would never make again. In every city I played in, I kept strictly to the music stores I was familiar with when I needed one, shunning all the weird-looking, down-at-heels ones as if they had leprosy.

Yeah, yeah, I know: Skynyrd used and endorsed Peavey amps, as did pretty much every other ’70s Southern rock hit factory you could name.

And so what? I’ve always been pretty sure the second part of “used and endorsed” explains the first adequately enough: those Southern rockers played ’em not so much because they liked ’em, but because they were being paid to look as if they did. Myself, I hated the damned shitburgers back then, and I still do now. But hey, if Peavey handed me a big enough wad of cash, I’d try my best to pretend I liked the useless boat anchors too.

Obligatory disclaimer/confession: I DID play a Peavey Bandit for a couple-three months in the earliest days of the BPs; it belonged to one of the guys I had originally conceptualized the band with, an old-school purist who just could not abide the Marshall JMP half-stack (ie, the King of Rock, long may he reign—one of the very best amps ever produced, by anybody) that was helping me work through my rage issues back then. I make no apology for my brief lapse into the Shame of the Peavey; after all, none of us is without his own skeletons in the closet, right?

The moral of the story? Never let yourself be taken in by a hustler (the gooberment) trying to pressure or swindle (or legislate) you into settling for an inferior solid-state counterfeit (EV) of the tube-driven (ICE) real deal. You’ll be throwing away your money (your money) in the end, it won’t work out as promised (your house will burn down), and the only one who will end up happy with the whole deal will be the salesman (goobermint).

Oh, one more point to be made: If your product is good enough you won’t even have to sell it, it will sell itself. In contrast to the Peavey band-endorsement hustle, do note that Jim Marshall kept strictly to his principle of not paying for artist endorsements, the lone exception—until 1991 and the release of Marshall’s JCM Slash signature-model amp—being Jimi Hendrix.

According to an old book I have chronicling the amazing history of James Marshall’s world-beating amps (Marshall, amusingly and ironically enough, was actually a drummer his own self, and had enjoyed some local fame playing jazz in London nightspots), their names partially explains the Hendrix exception. Jimi was introduced to Marshall at the small London music store and amp-repair shop James owned and ran—and where his iconic amps had originally been created, at the request of Pete Townsend, probably the most famous of several other shop hangarounds that would later become rock stars themselves—and was blown away by the coincidence of their names—James Marshall Hendrix, guitar god, and James NMI Marshall, immortal guitar-amp legend. The two became close friends, Jimi switched to Marshalls for good, and the rest is rock and roll history.

Some good stuff from the previously-linked article, for any gear-geeks that might be reading:

You’d think that a guitarist of Slash’s stature would have a warehouse full of amplifiers at his disposal. As it turns out, though, the Guns N’ Roses guitarist only has a handful of trusty heads, which were discontinued in 1989, and they’re all just about ready to be retired. “I’ve been using the same Marshall Jubilee heads at every gig and session since I got them in 1987,” says Slash. “A bunch of those got badly damaged at the riot we had in St. Louis in 1991. After that, I was really nervous about my amplifier situation because I knew that if anything happened to the Jubilees I had left, I would be totally screwed.”

It was in the aftermath of the riot (which was prompted by an abbreviated GNR set) that Slash and Marshall began discussions that would ultimately result in the limited-production JCM Slash. And while Marshall amps have been associated with many of rock’s legendary guitarists, this is the company’s first endorsement deal-not to mention its first signature model.

“I’m totally honored that Marshall is doing this,” says Slash. “I’m the first person ever to get a free amp from them-except for Jimi Hendrix. And from what I understand, the amps he had were just on loan.”

The new amplifier is an exact replica of the Silver Jubilee 2555. However, unlike the Jubilee, the JCM Slash boasts the guitarist’s “smoking snake” logo and comes complete with a pimpin’ snakeskin cover.

The all-tube, 100-watt head boasts a quartet of Russian EL34’s in its power section and a trio of ECC83’s driving its two-channel preamp. There’s also a handy, front-panel-mounted half-power switch that allows you to drop the amp down to a more manageable 50-watt triode mode perfect for smaller venues. Slash admits that even he runs his amps on half-power much of the time. “If you have a singer who’s sensitive to loud backlines like Axl is, having a half-power switch is a godsend. It’s the only I way I can get the power tubes to work as hard as I need them to.”

I got chills here. Honestly, reading stuff like this makes me miss playing more than just about anything else, it really does. Nothing sweeter or more satisfying than the spine-tingling yowl of a Model 1987 50-watt Plexi reissue firing a pair of Celestion G12T-75s, the rig I happily ran for many years. Never have I owned a setup I liked better than this one, and I’ve owned ’em all. I never liked GNR, but I do like Slash just fine. He’s an excellent player, and I envy him his guitar/amp setup.

Update! If you can’t bribe ’em, try extorting ’em.

Pete “Just Buy A Tesla” Buttigieg Buttplug (FIFY—M) Says To Get Used To Price Hikes Until We Have Energy Independence Based On Clean Energy
Just another reminder that the higher gas prices you are suffering under are intentional.

Ever since the Obama Administration, the left has made it their goal to make gas so unaffordable that the American people will dump the convenient and plentiful fossil fuels the entire global economy is based upon for “clean” energy sources.

Here’s Mayor Pete telling Americans that the beatings will continue until morale improves:

Here’s the thing to remember, even if all the oil we use in the USA were made in the USA, the price of it is still subject to powers and dynamics outside of the USA.

Which means, until we achieve a form of energy independence that is based on clean energy created here at home, American citizens will still be vulnerable to wild price hikes like we’re seeing right now.

Gay Mayor Pete and the Biden crew will never admit that gas prices were low under Trump and that it was because of his energy policy.

But now that Biden has made it impossible to drill in the US, then all of a sudden all the drilling in the world won’t help the United States. It’s a global market.

Forget the four years under Donald Trump, those never happened.

There’s nothing that can be done, except buying electric cars, building more windmills and solar panels, and keeping the serfs at home forever.

Never mind that Biden’s Energy Secretary even says that they are using the Ukraine crisis and rising oil prices to transition America off gas.

It’s all intentional. It’s meant to cause pain.

Yep, t’is. There must be some way we could return the favor and cause them some right back, don’tcha think? Gee, I wonder what it might be

OBEY update! When bribery and extortion have failed, you might then try a little judicious legislation removing the serfs’ ability to choose for themselves.

Last week, the current Democrat Governor of Washington state, Jay Inslee, signed a bill into law that aims to ban the sale of most non-electric vehicles in the state by 2030.

This legislation follows the lead of other deep-blue states like California and New York that recently announced bans on gas-powered vehicles in a move to end sales of these vehicles no later by 2035.
.
The Post Millennial reported that Inslee signed the “Move Ahead Washington” package into law stipulating that all publicly owned and privately owned “passenger and light duty vehicles 2030 model or later that are sold, purchased, or registered in the state” must be electric.

This legislation comes with a $16.9 billion price tag and will receive funds generated by taxes on gasoline.

Ummm, I believe I see a tiny little problem with this Supergenius!™ idea.

Inslee claimed that the package would help “combat climate change,” but the state of Washington will be reliant upon its residents and visitors continuing to fill their cars with gasoline in order to fund reach this green goal.

So here we are then, where every socialist tyranny eventually winds up: using the wealth only capitalism can create to fund their adolescent fantasies, feeding off the very host that sustains them until they’ve killed it.

Topsy-turvy world

It’s a hell of a thing, ain’t it, when the Russian and Chinese leadership is making a lot more sense than our own.

NATO should have been dissolved in 1991 – China
The US-led bloc is an obsolete product of the Cold War, Beijing insisted

China believes NATO should have been dissolved after the USSR, which it was created to contain, no longer existed, the Foreign Ministry explained on Friday.

Spokesman Zhao Lijian lamented the fact that instead the US-led military bloc expanded and cornered Russia, eventually triggering the present bloodshed in Ukraine.

As a product of the Cold War, NATO should have become history when the Soviet Union disintegrated,” he said during a daily press conference on Friday, when asked about remarks on NATO’s role as a US geopolitical tool made by his Russian counterpart, Maria Zakharova.

Zhao said that NATO expanded eastwards in Europe for decades, in violation of promises made to the Soviet leadership. This pushed Russia “into a corner step by step,” so ultimately, NATO was “the initiator and biggest promoter of the Ukraine crisis” on behalf of the US, he stated, adding that the organization should reflect on what exactly it contributes to European security.

So proposed, so stipulated. Know what’s even worse, though? Russia and China also sound a lot more trustworthy, a lot more believable here than anything we’ve heard from a US admin, excepting Trump’s, in many, many years.

It’s laugh or cry in the End Times

Y’know, there IS actually a bright side to having a senile old crook pretending to be “president” of Amerika v2.0 now and then. For instance, we get to enjoy fun paragraphs like these:

The “president” famously loves and admires his son — “the smartest man I know,” he’s said — but every once in a while, in those infrequent lucid moments between breakfast and the morning “lid” on his imperial duties, “Joe Biden” must smack himself in his Blarney Stone of a head wondering how the hell did that meshugganah kid of mine manage to lose that goddam treasure-map of a laptop! And just as quickly, the fugitive thought floats away like a soap bubble…It’s easy to play dumb when you’re already senile.

The fabled Hard-drive-from Hell apparently contains evidence of felonious misdeeds other than tax evasion ranging from treason, bribery, and wire fraud, to child sex-trafficking and the use of Air Force Two in the commission of crimes. That leaves AG Mr. Garland on a hot spot of dreadful discomfiture. Does he call off the dogs on that vast bone-pile of perfidy and just “laser focus” on some rinky-dink tax charge — and then face the wrath in ten months of a sure-to-be Republican majority House and Senate capable not just of impeaching his ass, but making criminal referrals on it? Or is compelling evidence of high crimes going to be spewed all over the land by those aforesaid private-sector sleuths poring over Hunter’s hard-drive, in a way that the AG can only ignore at the risk of his own reputation… or maybe even a year in some federal slammer for obstruction of justice?

Kinda depends a little bit on what sort of commotion special counsel Mr. John Durham stirs up if-and-when he gets around to indicting any of the superstars of RussiaGate — many of them former and current DOJ and FBI personnel — because when that happens, the odor around Mr. Garland’s department will be so pungent that prosecutors will have to work the Hunter case wearing industrial-strength, full-face, carbon-filtered respirators.

In short, is the dear Deep State fixing to throw “Joe Biden” overboard in a play for its own legitimacy, as if it is actually looking after the nation’s interests? At some point, even ghouls and spooks have a certain survival instinct. And all that might kinda depend on whether President Vlad Putin of Russia happens to disclose what exactly his soldiers found when they captured the numerous “bio-research” labs that ringed Ukraine’s former eastern provinces near the Russian border. Hunter Biden’s companies had an ownership position in those labs, which were actually run by the US Department of Defense jointly with (who else?) the CIA. The wildest stories are circulating about the labs — like, they were developing horrific designer plagues targeted specifically at genetically Slavic people…to be spread by loosing infected migratory birds into the Eurasian skies…say, what…? When, exactly, did American foreign policy turn into something out of a Marvel Comic?

Amusing stuff, right enough, but Kuenstler goes all serious and somber again for the closer. In a most amusing way, however.

Tilting at windmills

An idea whose time has come—but will never arrive.

It is time to impeach and convict Joe Biden.

The nation and the West cannot take another two-three years of this criminally corrupt and inept disaster.

They’re gonna have to, alas. The chances of the House actually sending articles of impeachment to the Senate, even moreso the Senate voting to convict, hover somewhere between “Zip, zero, nada” and outright “Laughable.” That sad fact notwithstanding, there’s an airtight case to be made in favor of it.

Every day it seems, despite the censorship and the fake de-bunking, we get more and more evidence of Biden’s criminality. He and his family, of course, have been long known as crooks and liars in the pockets of Delaware-based credit card companies.

The lies told by Joe are legion. His brother is a well-known and unsavory character as is his son, Hunter; and they have dealings with Joe, the “big guy” who gets ten percent.

We now suffer the worst presidency in our history; none other comes close.

Biden moved into the White House thanks not only to massive electoral fraud, but to an unprecedented support by big tech and media firms who carefully edited and suppressed information hurtful to Biden. In addition, Biden, and many of those around him, e.g., Jake Sullivan, helped created the fake Trump-Putin hoax, which not only almost brought down the Trump presidency, but made it impossible to have normal relations with Russia–and we are paying for that now as we face the possibility of a major war in Europe. The DNC, with the active participation of Joe Biden, FBI, CIA, and the media engaged in a massive criminal conspiracy against a sitting president.

Let us not forget that Trump’s great “crime” in the second impeachment was to ask too many questions about the Biden-Ukraine link. That, my friends, was the great driver of that most fake of fake impeachments. Trump was getting close to upsetting the whole cart of rotten apples. He was asking dangerous questions.

Which reveals the main reason impeaching Biden is the real-world embodiment of Don Quixote’s Impossible Dream: it ain’t just Biden that should be impeached; in fact, removing him from office would do little or no good. It’s the federal government entire that needs to be removed. Until it is, we’re doing no more than shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. Biden is merely the frontman for the true source of our problems, the Invisible Ones who cannot be touched.

The banality of evil update! Is unleashing the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse an impeachable offense?

The four horses and four afflictions, conquest, war, famine, and pestilence, neatly encapsulate the administration of Joe Biden. Old Joe himself is to a great degree responsible for this impression, as he seems to like to sound apocalyptic notes. He certainly has done so more than once, particularly when he declared on Dec. 16, 2021, “For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm.” There’s the Biden pestilence. Yes, COVID-19 came upon us during the Trump years, but Biden promised to end it, and that turned out to be yet another of his empty promises. With Anthony Fauci threatening that “more rigid” restrictions are in the offing, pestilence looks as if it’s going to be a permanent feature of the Biden era.

The Biden famine is more of a threat than reality as of yet, but it could come to us any day now. As PJM’s Athena Thorne noted, Biden said Thursday, “With regard to food shortage, yes, we did sss- re- re- s- talk about food shortages. And, uh, and it’s gonna be real. The price of these sanctions, ahem, is not just imposed upon Russia, it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well.”

Biden’s war is obvious: it is happening in Ukraine now. However much the establishment media tries to blame Trump for Putin invading Ukraine, and pretend that Trump would be applauding his move if he were still president, the ineluctable fact remains that Putin moved against Ukraine and occupied Crimea while Barack Obama was president, did nothing while Donald Trump was president, and launched the present invasion while Old Joe Biden was pretending to be president. And conquest? Look at the people streaming into the country across what is officially known as the Southern border. If they keep coming at the rate they came in 2021, Biden’s threat to transform America fundamentally will be a reality.

Joe Biden has not just unleashed the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. His entire political career as a serial liar of marginal (at best) competence, cheerfully savaging Clarence Thomas and others for political gain, parading his religiosity while going to war against actual religion, presents us once again with the age-old theological problem: why do the wicked prosper? Whatever the answer may be, Joe does prosper, and that means we don’t.

The entire premise driving Mordor On The Potomac could be put thusly: Here, the Wicked shall prosper, to the enormous cost of those they falsely purport to “serve.” So Uncle Gropey didn’t have to unleash the Four Horsemen; that was done long, long ago, a preexisting condition he merely inherited, that’s all. Which, naturally, would never stop him from claiming credit for it anyhow, as we already know.

Alternate reality update! For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.

Last week, Joe Biden made three serious gaffes, forcing the White House to “clarify” or walk back his statements. But when he was called out on them on Monday by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, he denied that any of his remarks were ever walked back.

“Are you worried that other leaders in the world are going to start to doubt that America is back if some of these big things that you say on the world stage keep getting walked back?” Doocy asked?

“What getting walked back?” Biden demanded, apparently seriously.

“It may sound like, just in the last couple days—it sounded like you told U.S. troops they were going Ukraine. It sounded like you said it was possible the U.S. would use a chemical weapon. And it sounded like you were calling for regime change in Russia and we know—”

“None of the three occurred,” Biden insisted.

“None of the three occurred?” Doocy asked, shocked.

“None of the three,” Biden insisted again. “You interpret the language that way.”

Wow. I mean, just…WOW. Just when I think this duplicitous clown can no longer surprise me with shit like this, the bar gets raised yet again, leaving me speechless with stupefaction and disbelief.

Is it treason yet?

Kunstler asks a question whose answer we all already know, or at least ought to.

What Is to Be Done?
The black hole of depravity known as Hunter Biden’s Laptop dilates ever wider as the rickety “Joe Biden” regime chugs towards its event horizon of disgrace and collapse, throwing off the jetsam of our nation’s remnant honor in its toxic vapor trail. The memos and emails on the device could not be clearer: “Joe Biden” and his grifting family sold out their country.

The mentally incompetent husk of a crooked old pol is owned by every foreign interest in his decaying orbit, and owned as well by the foul and perfidious “intel” mafia lodged like a cancerous mass eating away at what used to be known as the American government. Face it: this false “president,” installed by malignant forces allied with his Party of Chaos, is a menace to our nation.

The Russian clean-up of Ukraine has exposed the operational base of the Biden Family’s flagrant crimes. The laptop confirms that Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca front company invested in the chain of bio-weapons labs set up by the CIA and Department of Defense and operated through their front company Metabiota, with tendrils reaching to the Wuhan, China, virology lab that was the most likely point-of-origin for SARS-CoV-2, a.k.a. Covid-19.

Money money money everywhere along the trail for the Biden Family, fees-for-service from the crooked Ukrainian oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky, chairman of Burisma, the gas company that provided walking-around money for Hunter’s insatiable drug habit and degenerate sexual adventures…more millions from shady sources in Russia…and then billions more from the board rooms of Chinese companies connected with the intel and military arms of the CCP.

If the American public had known of these entanglements, Joe Biden would certainly not have been the beneficiary of the engineered balloting irregularities that determined the 2020 election.

It’d surely be nice to think so, yeah. But how confident of that can we really be? Granted, the Laptop, Holy Grail of Corruption, was successfully suppressed in a tour de force of collusion, corruption, deceit, and bare-naked treason whose reach extends to practically every institution, organization, bureacracy, and office in the US. Too, though there is simply no way in Hell Biden received the number of votes that were claimed; 2020’s disgraceful “election” was shot through with fraud and criminality, rife with it. This, every honest and Awake™ American already knows.

Even so, we’ve seen no general uprising in consequence; the response, rather, has been flaccid, indifferent, blasé. In light of that, can anybody possibly convince themselves that now, all of a sudden, the revelations of things thinking people already knew about the Biden Cosa Nostre and the Demonrat COMAAPP (Criminal Organization Masquerading As A Political Party, the acronym I”ll be using from here on out) will inspire them to correct the error at last? Sorry, can’t see it myself. As I’ve insisted for a goodish while now, we’re not there quite yet; gonna take a lot more hungry children and jobless parents—salt of the earth Americans, I mean, the people who keep this faltering system staggering blindly on—before anything like that ever happens.

Kuenstler frets and gnaws at his opening question for a few more ‘graphs before closing things out with a forecast I can agree with completely.

“Joe Biden” has knocked the remaining props out from under the country’s assumed standard-of-living. We are on track to go medieval in months, not years: no replacement parts for our machines, no money (or else money that’s worthless), no food, no heat, no light, no getting from Point A to Point B, soon no hope. And if we’re really unlucky, the very land itself and the things we’ve built upon it reduced to cinders and ash.

One thing you must know: we are not entering the wishful robotic anti-utopia of social credit control, QR code management, and World Economic Forum / Klaus Schwab transhumanism. We are veering, rather, off-the-rails into epic historic political disorder, something much more perplexing than the clear-cut crack-up of the 1860s. In this new pandemonium, the best of us will remember what has been best about us: liberty, the rule of law, freedom of speech and the press, the dignity of work, our sense of obligation to a common good, and the decorum of truth-telling. For now, strive to stay sane against all the inducements of the wicked.

Strive to stay sane, yes. And stock up on more ammo, provisions, TP, and all the general neccessaries of living to whatever degree you’re able. Regardless of how and/or why it comes to pass, extremely hard times are a-comin’.

Of madmen and morons

The primary drivers of all modern existence.

Even if TEOTWAWKI doesn’t take the form of WW3, TEOTWAWKI has arrived. It’s here. Is it the apocalypse? Are we all going to be eating bugs or shooting zombies by this time next year? I don’t know; probably not. But the world as we knew it is over.

And our immediate future will be shaped by madmen and morons.

You waste your time if you try to reason out the catastrophes they’re causing. You grant them too much dignity and credence if you argue what they should be doing instead of what they’re now doing. You misdirect your life if you engage with them or their numerous useful idiots as if they were decent, sensible people. You’re laughable if you try to reform them. You’re delusional if you believe some Hero of Liberty will sweep in and drain the swamp. You’re pathetic if you still, after all you’ve seen and experienced, imagine that “electing the right people” will work for the good of the nation or the world. The “right people” (right in their own minds, that is) are already running things and you will probably never even learn most of their names.

Get that in your head if you haven’t already. The world as we know it is already gone, and now it’s time for us to move beyond it and — with some luck — help shape the world we hope will come.

By George, I think she’s got it. Later, Claire cites one Einstein’s best lines as prelude for some equally outstanding, but more cheerful, ones from Tolkien.

I keep thinking about what Einstein said — that he didn’t know what weapons WW3 would be fought with, but he was pretty sure WW4 would be fought with sticks and stones.

…Because Einstein may have been right, but so was Tolkein:

[E]vil labours with vast power and perpetual success – in vain: preparing always only the soil for unexpected good to sprout in…

It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule….

I do not know what is happening. The reason of my waking mind tells me that great evil has befallen and we stand at the end of days. But my heart says nay; and all my limbs are light, and a hope and joy are come to me that no reason can deny. […] I do not believe that darkness will endure!

Despite however pessimistic or cynical I may often wax, I must admit that, in the end, my truest heart belongs to dear old John Ronald Reuel. And now, while we’re being all cheerful and all, plus since I swiped a line from it earlier, let’s enjoy ourselves a few snippets from a most wonderful flick, shall we?

They just don’t make ’em like Harrison, Hepburn, and My Fair Lady anymore, to our incalculable loss.

The future is FemiNazi

And it ain’t pretty.

The long march through the institutions has been not only of the Left but also of women taking over key positions in the West’s governments, courts and public prosecutor’s offices, police and the military, media and entertainment, schools and universities – with long term results, I aver, that do not bode well for Western Civilization. The leap on the Left has been from the male-run orthodox Marxism to the female-driven, “compassionate” Cultural Marxism of “Social Justice.” Conservatives, as usual, just got played.

The American military has unveiled new pregnancy uniforms while the Chinese military has unveiled new exoskeleton uniforms that allow a soldier to carry more gear into combat. A few years ago, a composite photo composite below circulated on the Internet. It showed Europe’s five female Ministers of Defense versus the martial machos in charge of China’s and Russia’s militaries, the phalanx of bemedaled men-generals standing behind every successive ruler of North Korea or the ruling mullahs of Iran. And that picture of Yin-sickened West did not even include socialist Spain’s very pregnant Minister of Defense Carme Chacon in a billowing maternity dress, reviewing a lineup of erect soldiers.

Metrosexual Obama, stamped from the same mold that would soon disgorge Canada’s Justin Trudeau, delighted in placing the most unsuitable women in the most improbable and important positions. Consider “Team Obama”: Hillary Clinton, Samantha Power, Susan Rice, and Obama’s grey eminence Valerie Jarrett huddling at the UN General Assembly Hall. At least three of them were architects of the string of catastrophes that Obamerica’s support of the “Arab Spring” and betrayal of friendly tyrants Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, Bashar al-Assad in Syria, and Hosni Mubarak in Egypt proved to be for their country, for the world, for tens of thousands of Arab dead, and for millions of Arab refugees.

Consider Obama’s declaration of contempt for reality and for his country by making of Janet Napolitano the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security. Merkel-like, Napolitano was more concerned with “rightwing extremists” than with Muslim terrorists. She greatly “improved” homeland security by replacing references to acts of terrorism with the term “man-caused disasters” and sabotaging the enforcement of US immigration laws in any way she could. However, she worked toward the female future by passing over qualified men to place women in key security and immigration enforcement roles, including ICE chief of staff, Suzanne Barr who created a working environment “targeted to humiliate and intimidate male employees.”(3) That proved such a smashing success that Nancy Faeser, a Socialist who supports Antifa, is now the head of the Federal Police and Homeland Security of Germany and obsessed, of course, with “rightwing extremism.”

Is there NO modern disaster, failure, or crisis that the jug-eared, slope-shouldered specter of Obama doesn’tfloat phantasmagorically behind?

In June, 2019 Theresa May ended her pitiful time as Britain’s Prime Minister, having applied in a typically upside-down manner the mailed fist to Britons protesting the multiculti destruction of their country but the powder puff to disdainful Angela Merkel and the blackmailing EU in Brexit negotiations. May knew only one way against Britain’s enemies: surrender. Before she was forced by enraged Britons to resign, she had agreed to pay the EU a ransom of 39 billion pounds for the privilege of ending the UK’s vassalage to the Spinellian behemoth in Brussels. Her way of dealing with Muslim terrorism was to wear the hijab as often as a photo-op availed and to avoid dealing with Muslim terrorism or even naming it as such. (5)

All too many dismaying examples follow, leading to a depressing denouement.

America’s and Europe’s top levels in politics and governance are filled with highly educated women who seemingly cannot think and have no idea what human reality is—though it’s as elementary as Newton’s laws of motion applied to human affairs. They are zealously fanatic in their quest to remake the world according to their impulses of estrogenic social justice. They are also aggressively totalitarian and respond to criticism with hysterical hyperbole.

The European Union’s and all of Western Europe’s rule by Cultural Marxist women and their properly tamed and trained male subordinates is virtually sewn up. Barring violent upheavals by man or nature, America’s is locked in similarly, though the Trump bump obscured it for a while. The consequences can be projected too.

Quite a bleak projection it is, too. Here’s the most crucial, telling bit:

Eighty-nine percent of teachers in US public primary schools and 64% in secondary education are female. (29) 50% of college and university faculty are female (30) and it’s much more than that in the chief brainwash disciplines like psychology, English literature, gender studies, feminist studies, and all other Critical Theory areas. 82.8% of Social Work PhD students are female (31). 71% of psychology PhDs are women (32). It’s 61.3% in Social and Behavioral “Sciences” in general, 67.8% in Education, and 76.2% – God help us – in Public Administration. (32) To understand what a Doctor of Public Administration is let’s visit the web page of one such program, at Walden University: “Drive positive social change with a top-level degree,” “Learn to better serve diverse populations” (33) – you see where this is going.

America’s teachers’ unions: National Education Teachers’ Association (NEA) and American Federation of Teachers (AFT), filled with women, are perhaps the most powerful far-Left political force in the country; their members are directly responsible for training the last two generations of woke Zombies who are destroying the United States.

These are the places where our battle will be won or lost. I’ve been pounding my shoe on the tabletop and yelling about this very thing for many years now. Something else I’ve ruefully maintained along with it: Antonio Gramsci was a fucking GENIUS. If you don’t know who he is, educate thyself, young ‘un. There’s simply no way to fully understand Amerika v2.0 unless you understand himfirst.

You’re either predator or prey

Fear is a useful tool, one that reliably gets results. If they don’t fear you, you’re doin’ it wrong.

The date was November 4, 1980. Ronald Reagan had just been elected president. Ironically, it was exactly one year to the day that over 50 Americans were taken hostage by Iranian zealots under Jimmy Carter. For the likes of Col. Charles W. Scott, it marked a full year in captivity at the U.S. embassy in Tehran.

Scott later recalled the frightened reaction of his Islamist captors to Reagan’s landslide victory: “I remember specifically when one of the guards came in and said, ‘Reagan is now the new president. What do you think will happen when he comes into office?’ I didn’t say a word, I just went ‘BOOM.’ And they said, ‘Really?’ And I said ‘Yeah, the first day he’s in office after the inaugural ceremony, he’ll go back to the White House and say ‘OK, tell the Iranians if they don’t let those hostages go by midnight tomorrow night, its war.’”

A few weeks later, on January 20, 1981, quite literally as Reagan was being inaugurated, every single hostage was released. The double headline across the top of the New York Times the next day said it all: “Reagan Takes Oath as 40th President; Promises An ‘Era of National Renewal’; Minutes Later, 52 U.S. Hostages in Iran Fly to Freedom After 444-Day Ordeal.”

Richard V. Allen was Reagan’s foreign policy adviser during the campaign and his first national security adviser. I interviewed Allen on this subject. He noted that Reagan had “sought to be very careful not to inflame” or undercut the Carter administration’s diplomatic work, refraining “from doing or saying anything that would jeopardize whatever the [Carter] administration was doing to secure the release of the hostages.” But, said Allen, “we … never discouraged any journalist from thinking that, better yet, writing or saying, in effect, ‘the Iranians had better watch out, make their deal with Carter now, because once Reagan is in office, things will be radically different.’”

The outgoing Carter administration enhanced the Reagan threat through a high-level team engaged in negotiations with Iran. In the words of one Carter official, the team was ordered to communicate that “it will be a whole new ball game after January 20.”

The Iranians were convinced. The hostages were released on January 20 — the very moment that Reagan was being sworn in as 40th president of the United States.

“There was never any doubt in my mind that the release, coming at the precise timing of the inauguration itself, was both a slap at Carter and fear of what would come next,” judged Richard Allen.

Why mention this lesson now? Well, fast forward to the Trump years, and Joe Biden.

The same thing happened with liberals and Donald Trump. They portrayed Trump as a trigger-happy madman with his itchy finger dangerously near the nuclear button — like Reagan, a reckless cowboy. And yet, Trump rarely used military power as president. He actually got along with crazy Kim in North Korea, so much so that some of his gushing statements about the little dictator were outrageously embarrassing. What Trump achieved in the Middle East, with the president and his team getting multiple Arab nations to recognize Israel (the first Arab recognitions since Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994), was tremendous. It would have earned a Democrat the Nobel Peace Prize. But no awards for Trump, as liberals were too busy framing him as a wild man.

Well, that liberal caricature probably had a positive effect in deterring someone like a Vladimir Putin.

Going back to 2014, recall that Putin plowed into the Crimea a year into Obama’s second term, and that Obama had infamously in an open-mic moment told Putin lap-dog Dmitri Medvedev in 2012 that he would have “more flexibility after the election.” A grinning Medvedev ghoulishly and greedily replied, “Yes, I tell Vladimir!”

Vlad listened. Putin, nurtured in the KGB, learned to respect strength and prey on weakness.

Again, a president who understood this was Ronald Reagan. “If you were going to approach the Russians with a dove of peace in one hand, you had to have a sword in the other,” said Reagan. “We had to bargain with them from strength, not weakness.” Reagan’s motto toward the USSR was dovorey no provorey, Russian for “trust but verify.”

And yet, that was not what Barack Obama did. Obama had approached Putin with a dove in one hand and a bouquet of roses in the other. Obama showed weakness, and the Russians exploited it. Putin abused it.

Reagan took pride in the fact that the Soviets didn’t gain “one inch of ground” while he was president. Indeed, they did not — and that was so after they picked up nearly a dozen satellite states in the immediate years before Reagan, under Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford.

Joe Biden is bringing us back to the Obama years and even the Carter years, when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan (seven weeks after the Iranians seized Americans as hostages in Iran) and picked up client states left and right.

Whatever Putin’s reasoning, it is undeniably striking that he didn’t seek to annihilate Ukraine under President Donald Trump. For four years, he hit the pause button. Now, his troops are everywhere in Ukraine. It happened under Joe Biden. That is a fact that cannot be shrugged off by Trump haters. In fact, fair-minded liberals get it: “OK, but if Putin thought Trump was really that supportive of him, why didn’t he invade when Trump was in office?” Bill Maher recently asked. “It’s at least worth asking that question if you’re not locked into one intransigent thought.”

It sure is.

Yet somehow—all the above being manifestly correct, easy to comprehend, and beyond debate—the Left will still go right on insisting that we rely on displays of abject weakness, groveling, self-abnegation, and piteous bowing and scraping to produce the desired bargain, restraint, or concession from our adversaries. It’s baffling, really. Are they just stubborn and stupid, clinging to failed strategies and tactics despite abundant historical evidence that they just don’t work—worse, that they often backfire, bringing about the exact opposite of the object they hoped for. Or is their knee-jerk, reflexive hatred for America and Americans—their implacable wish to see her brought low, their dogged belief that American failure and humiliation are GOOD things—so powerfully ingrained in them that bargaining from weakness is the only option their stilted intellects can conceive of, just as a matter of moral probity?

Are they simply bugfuck nuts? Madmen so secure in their anti-American, pacifist, collectivist catechism’s essential righteousness that it can, it will, it MUST ultimately prevail? Are they wilfully blind to observable reality? Forever locked into an untenable system of belief, an indefensible position, an unworkable ideology? Do they imagine themselves and their ideas so persuasive, so appealing, so obviously superior that sooner or later they will bring the rest of us into agreement with them, allowing them to get to work proselytizing the rest of the world, thereby finally bringing the dream of global socialism into real-world existence?

It’s a puzzle we’ll probably never put together, I guess. In light of that, we should halt any further effort to understand and/or accomodate them, and move on instead to suppressing them, to subjugating them. We should, at long last, teach them fear, re-implanting it so deeply in their minds that the mere thought of trying to regain their lost influence and power makes them involuntarily piss themselves.

Death Wish Nation

Kuenstler on our collective suicidal derangement.

The defining moment last week in America’s ongoing mental health crisis was U Penn swimmer Lia Thomas’s record-setting win in the NCAA women’s 500-yard freestyle championship race. It was celebrated in the sports news as a thing — that is, an alleged feature of reality. Lia Thomas began “transitioning” in 2019 when “she” was a full-grown male human being, otherwise known as a “man,” and was already competing in men’s NCAA swimming events. One thing you can conclude from this is that the board of the NCAA is insane.

Gee, wonder if the FemiNazis are beginning to rue some of the unwise choices they’ve made over the years yet. As this feller Thomas, might there not be a more, ummmm, practical motivation behind his “transition,” we wonders?

LiaThomasRank.png

Seems to me the truly important “transition” here, as is true in almost every other case of a mentally-ill biological male athlete transforming himself from cellar-dwelling also-ran in competition against his fellow males into—HEY PRESTO!!—a suddenly-unbeatable champ when he’s stacked up against mere goils. It’s a pretty smooth ploy, turning radical-Left feminism’s own toxic catechism against them to take yourself from Zero to Hero in one savvy stroke.

I do hate it for the honest, decent young women who are being robbed of their chance to participate in clean, fair, and honorable athletic competition with their peers, truly I do. Hell, someday soon my own daughter could well be victimized by this same tedious horseshit, which I promise you will piss me off something awful. But this is a malady that must be burned out of the national corpus with fire, so thoroughly that it can never rise from its own ashes to lead us into a morass of folly and absurdity again. It sucks, sure, but it’s a none-too-gentle reminder of the price complacency and torpor in the face of Leftard incursion will always extract from the sane and the sensible.

It’s not the only institution in our country that has lost its mind. Are you comfortable with that?

They never asked us about it. We can only hope that very soon now they’ll come to rue their inconsiderate lapse, getting themselves a schoolin’ on how important such small courtesies are.

Outside of certain fairy-tales involving naked emperors, there is but one greater instance of a people being so willingly insulted by falsehood, namely, the still-continuing campaign to “vaccinate” and “boost” the public against Covid-19 with a genetic cocktail that doesn’t work to prevent illness or transmission of disease and has already killed or injured many thousands of people.

Yet, they’re still out there pimping for the vaxxes: Rochelle Walensky of the CDC, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Mary Basset (New York Commissioner of Public Health), and many other officials in other lands. This is a major part of the scripted suicide of the USA, along with the rest of Western Civ. Our government’s own Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) now lists a total of 24,177 pericarditis and myocarditis cases for all of year 2021, and 11,829 cases for just January and February of 2022. Do you see an ominous trend there? Those are but two deadly conditions linked to the vaxxes; there are over a thousand more.

The deluded people getting boosted now are taking on-board additional toxic spike proteins to the ones they already acquired in the first two shots. Might one predict that quite a few of them will develop a horrifying array of bodily disorders and die or become disabled in the next two years? It might soon even get hard for the Woked-up, vaxxed-up, Trump-maddened “blue” multitudes to ignore the impending mass murder they have been subjected to.

Such an unappetizing prospect might account for America’s reckless poking of the Russian bear over the future of Ukraine, a distraction from the developing picture of national assisted suicide here at home. The prospect of World War Three is apparently more compelling than the emerging information that indicates the US government is killing off its own population, and lying its face off in the process.

I get that, actually. Is it any wonder? There are two options that explain this: with our own despotic goobermint slaughtering us en masse, we’re the ones who’ll be doing all of the dying. On the other hand, in the WW3 scenario there’s at least a middling-fair chance the politicians and bureau-rats will be blowed up all to hell and gone right along with the rest of us poor schlubs, which I myself find a heck of a lot more palatable.

…Russia (has) had enough. It is doing something America no longer can do: establishing boundaries. Ukraine will not be used as a platform for further antagonisms. Our response: wreck the global economy starting with the international money system, and possibly bring on a world famine by destroying supply lines for fossil fuels and things made from them, such as fertilizer.

Our country is interested only in dissolving boundaries — geographical, as in our boundary with Mexico, behaviorally, as in the boundary between male and female, psychologically, as in the boundary between reality and fantasy, and existentially, as in being alive or dead. And now Russia, at considerable cost, has to literally teach the USA a lesson in the importance of boundaries. They are going to complete their operation in Ukraine and they’ll likely work-around the “sanctions” heaped on them. Their part of the world these days has all the production, a great many valuable commodities, and most of the world’s population.

Our part of the world seems bent on submitting to self-imposed tyranny and suicide. At least that has been the trend until now. Suddenly information is busting out from all angles penetrating and shattering the dome of unreality we’ve lived under for years. Yes, those vaxxes are killing a lot of people… yes, the Intel Community and the DNC overthrew the previous president…yes, every US Intel bigwig in the land lied to you about Hunter Biden’s laptop… yes, that laptop is crammed with hard evidence of bribery and, arguably, treason involving the current president…yes, the US economy is tanking because we’ve borrowed more money than we can ever pay back and we don’t produce enough stuff of value…and no, Russia is not “losing” in the Ukraine — rather, Russia is showing the commitment and fortitude of a nation interested in self-preservation. You think we might learn something from that?

Depends on who you’re talking about wnen you say “we,” Bill. In Amerika v2.0 the concept of “we” barely even exists, shattered by a divide grown so vast over so many years that it can no longer be spanned. There’s little discernible interest in trying to do so anyhow, on either side. The national squabble can only be resolved one way now. Most of us recognize what that means at this point; understandably, we’re reluctant to make it happen. But it’s nearly a dead cert that it will happen, like it or no. As for this mutually agreed-upon shemale/chicks with dicks/Manwoman mental breakdown which opened this post, the Bee has some breaking news for us.

NCAA Swimming Champ Caught In Possession Of Performance-Enhancing Testicles
ATLANTA, GA—Celebrations for winning the 500-yard freestyle at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships were short-lived for convincingly female athlete Lia Thomas, as authorities caught her in possession of performance-enhancing testicles.

“Investigators will need time to sift through the trail of evidence right now,” said NCAA’s Head of Testicle Enforcement, Bob Huevos, while holding up a jock strap, the device suspected to have been used to conceal the contraband from rigorous testing protocols. “We suspect the swimmer used this contraption to keep the performance-enhancing testicles secured between her legs.”

Blood tests of the disgraced, obviously-female swimmer have led Huevos to believe Thomas had a long history of using testicles to dose with powerful testosterone, perhaps beginning in early childhood.

“Long term testicle use like this may explain the female swimmer’s towering height, powerful muscles, dense bone structure, deep voice, and bulging crotch,” explained Huevos, “These permanent mutations from testosterone abuse would have given her a lifetime advantage over other female athletes even if she were to quit and go on estrogen. For that reason, Lia Thomas should be disqualified from competition.”

Heh—”Huevos,” no less. I see what you did there, you magnificent bastards. NCAA President Peter D’anglin declined to comment, as of presstime, on what’s being called the Nutsack-Doping scandal.

It’s a Trumpiful life?

None dare call it “progress.”

In the film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” George Bailey is able to see what the world would have been like had he never been born. Everything changes. George wasn’t there to save his younger brother from drowning. And, that in turn, meant that his brother wasn’t there to save the lives of hundreds of men on board a U.S. military troop ship. Everything has a domino effect.

Unfortunately, we get to have a similar experience. We see how one terrible leader imposing his disastrous policies on the American people has negatively impacted every American. We also witness how Joe Biden’s immature foreign policy has produced unrest and war.

And, although we are assured by the Left that the 2020 presidential election was pristine—the best ever—we wonder wistfully what the world would look like had President Trump remained in the Oval Office instead of the blindingly incompetent and malevolent Joe Biden.

Under this administration, the Left criticizes and tries to prevent parental involvement in their children’s education. The Left hides what they are doing, and when parents show up at the school board meetings, they are arrested, threatened, and the police apparatus of the federal government spies on them.

Biden’s attorney general has created a task force and a ranking system for parents, even referring to them as would-be domestic terrorists.

As we try to wake from the Biden nightmare we remember the position of the Trump Administration, that parents should have school freedom, participation, and transparency of curriculum.

In the movie, George Bailey implores his guardian angel to bring him back to life and George’s wish is granted.

Who wouldn’t take some tweets in exchange for energy independence, reduced inflation, an economy that produced more participation—pre-COVID—than any in history, support for police, control of our borders, and support for parents’ supervision of their children’s education?

Who wouldn’t prefer a reality that kept Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, North Korea, and Iran in check, and brought stability to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords?

As the angel Clarence told George Bailey, “You see, George, you really had a wonderful life.

The leftists don’t believe it because they like division and despair, but under President Trump, we really had a wonderful life.

Well, I wouldn’t say “wonderful,” exactly; we have near a century of Leftist destruction to undo before I could dream of using that word in good conscience. Too, Trump himself did plenty of less-than-wonderful things during his term in office. But only a fool or a shitlib (BIRM) could deny that we were much, much better off where we were then than where we are now. And even then he’d be lying, as always.

A real “Well, duh!” moment

A perennial favorite poses the silliest of questions.

Why Are Leftists And Elitists So Happy About Skyrocketing Gas Prices?

Brandon (Smith, not that other guy) knows the answer as well as the rest of us do, of course, and goes on to lay it out for us.

There is a narrative being spread within leftist/socialist circles by media celebrities and White House cronies, and it is this: Paying high prices for oil and gas is actually a GOOD thing. But why is it a good thing to these people? How do they benefit?

Spoiler Alert: It has nothing to do with punishing Russia economically.

As I write this article crude prices have somewhat stabilized around $110-$115 a barrel, which translates to a little over $4 a gallon for gas across most of the country. I don’t expect this to last very long. My guess is that regular gasoline will end up in the $7 to $8 per gallon range before US shale oil roars back and balances out the market. I realize that this is a conservative estimate and perhaps a best case scenario. Gas could go much higher depending on speculation in oil markets as well as continued government interference from the Biden Administration.

The big secret is that gas prices were already going to inflate to epic highs, the Ukraine event is not a catalyst, it’s just adding a little petro to the house fire. The fact is, there are some people out there that are desperate for prices to go much higher regardless of what happens in Ukraine.

Yep. Another example of the shitlib Leftocrats never letting a good crisis go to waste, confirmation of their rock-solid opportunism in the mad quest for more power.

Biden’s electric car initiatives are strange in light of the fact that inflation is already straining people’s pocketbooks yet the government is suggesting those same struggling Americans buy $50,000 to $100,000 vehicles. None of this actually addresses the root causes of the inflation we face. Rather, Biden and leftists seem to be saying “We aren’t interested in fixing the problem, you are just going to have to adapt in the ways we want you to adapt…”

Clearly, the establishment does not want the public to question the real triggers for the inflationary disaster we are witnessing. This is illustrated very well in an article I found by CBS declaring that any suggestions that high oil prices are somehow tied to Biden’s electric car program is “conspiracy theory” related to QAnon.

This is bizarre.

Nawww. It’s typical, is what it is. Smith then lists some of those pesky, debate-proof facts the Left hates like vampires hate garlic before winding up thusly:

To summarize, the elites are happy about rising oil prices today because first, they now have a perfect scapegoat for the disasters inflation will reap; disasters they are responsible for. And second, they now have a backdoor way to introduce their carbon agenda, starting with forced public dependency on expensive and less efficient green technologies and slowly progressing towards total carbon restrictions.

Average leftists are happy about rising gas prices because they ignorantly believe that sanctions on  Russian oil hurt Putin. They also ignorantly believe in global warming and they don’t realize how drastically our standard of living will be reduced in the name of carbon dictatorship. In other words, this isn’t a conspiracy to force people to buy electric cars; most people can’t afford a Tesla anyway. But it is a conspiracy to undermine our prosperity and our freedoms through inflationary crisis as well as green energy mandates. Leftists have no understanding of this. They are happy because they are dumb.

Indeed so. They’re like a jilted woman who is so vindictive and hot for vengeance she’s perfectly willing to do things that will harm her too, even badly, just so’s she gets to score some points on her erstwhile man and do him damage in the bargain.

TruckerDoom followup

So in phone consultation with BCE earlier, he mentioned that Bayou Pete had taken notice of one of my earlier posts wherein I quoted my brother’s dire warning that, if diesel prices rise much more (which, they’re gonna), thousands of drivers will be giving up and getting out of the business. Here’s a portion of Pete’s lament:

What does that mean in raw figures?

  • Owner-Operators primarily operate Class 8 Trucks (33,001 pounds and greater). There were approximately 2.9 million registered combination trucks (tractor-trailers) in 2018.
  • There are approximately 350,000 owner operators driving in the United States today…Owner Operators make up 9% of the truckers on the road today.
  • Nearly 1.5 million people work for the 124,320 employer businesses in this industry, and another 587,000 are self-employed, or “nonemployers” … These nonemployers (assuming one person per business) make up nearly 29% of the workers in the industry.

So, if independent owner-operators have to park their trucks because they can’t recover their fuel costs from their customers, we’re talking about a 10% reduction in the number of trucks available to haul freight – this on top of an existing supply chain crunch that’s got every truck running as hard as it can, all day, every day, just to try to keep pace. We’re also talking about a quarter to a third of those involved in the trucking industry being out of work.

Our supply chain simply can’t handle such losses. It’ll be crippled.

Yep, t’will…along with just about everything else. Remember the trucker’s mantra: If you have it, a truck brought it. Sorry to say, but today my brother had more bad tidings. His current rig, a Freightliner Classic XL with rebuilt engine and tranny, a new clutch, and some other goodies, to include oversize 150 gallon fuel tanks (those big chrome drums you can see on most all trucks under the doors on eah side, unless they’re hidden behind some plastic covers). This afternoon on the way back from Charleston it cost him nearly 700 smackers to fill just halfway up.

As of about a half hour ago, Little Bro hasn’t decided whether he’s gonna work tomorrow yet.

Be sure to click through to catch Peter’s closing ‘graphs. It’s just as he says: all these things—trucker shortages, bare store shelves, absurdly high fuel costs, systemic Bidenflation—have a common root cause, which can be found in Mordor On The Potomac.

Strongest, most effective military on Earth?

The Lone Superpower.

Navy Refuses to Deploy Warship While Commander Remains Unvaccinated
U.S. Navy officials have said a warship can’t be deployed because its commander has refused the COVID-19 vaccine.

The service said an East Coast guided-missile destroyer is “out of commission” after a Florida federal judge ruled that the Navy and Marine Corps cannot remove its officer for being unvaccinated against COVID-19.

The warship now remains docked in Norfolk, Virginia.

It comes after U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday, a George H. W. Bush nominee, ruled on Feb. 2 to bar Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and all other military officials from taking punitive action against the unnamed Navy officer, who sought religious exemptions to the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Merryday wrote that the Navy’s rejection failed to note that the branch has separately granted hundreds of medical exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate

Annnnd…Cut! Print! That’s a wrap, people! We have now officially reached peak Covid stupidity, I do believe.

Top military officials determined that the commander’s religious beliefs were sincere and that they would be “substantially burdened” by being forced to get vaccinated, but also claimed that granting the exemption request “would have a predictable and detrimental effect on the readiness of you and the Sailors who serve alongside you.”

Oops. Looks like I mighta spoke too soon.

Admiral Daryl Caudle filed a statement on Feb. 28 saying that the Navy “cannot have a Sailor who disobeys a lawful order to receive a vaccine because they harbor a personal objection any more than we can have a Sailor who disobeys the technical manual for operating a nuclear reactor because he or she believes they know better.”

DAYUMMMM, dude, this Covid-stupidity hole is deep enough already! So stop digging, willya?!? Bill, with all the analysis of this risible nonsense you’ll ever need:

The American Dream will end in farce.  And then nightmare.

Not quite there yet, Bill. From where I’m sitting, it ended in farce a goodish while back. And as I’ve been saying, the nightmare part has already begun.

Update! Here’s a link to the original article, hat tip Bill, just in case anybody has problems with the archive.is one. I never have had any trouble with ’em myself, but I’ve heard from others who have here and then.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
Daniel Webster

“When I was young I was depressed all the time. But suicide no longer seemed a possibility in my life. At my age there was very little left to kill.”

“A slave is one who waits for someone to come and free him.”

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
Frank Zappa

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant in case of necessity can no more be doubted than to hang a robber, or kill a flea.”
John Adams

"It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged."
GK Chesterton

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
