The revolution has been cancelled

Prediction: there will be no “Red Wave” coming to save us all this November.

People just never learn. Not even two years removed from the neo-Bolshevik Left engineering the outright theft of a Presidential election, where a doddering old fool with dementia received 81 million “votes”, the usual suspects are out proclaiming an incoming “red wave” that will sweep the Grand Old Party back into control of both chambers of Congress.

Granted, there should be a red wave and there would be a red wave, provided that the Republican party was led by anyone with an above room temperature IQ. Red hot inflation, unaffordable gas and food prices, the southern border being overrun, black violent crime running unchecked in most major cities. For any competent political party out of power, winning this fall should be an easy lay-up. But we are talking about the GOP after all.

The problem here, as I keep screaming to the heavens, is that the GOPe is neither stupid nor incompetent. Neither are they lacking in courage. What they in fact ARE is complicit; though they pose as a competitive opposition for the DemonRats, they are actually fully, firmly, and unswervingly in cahoots with them. What we have been hoodwinked for years to think of as a legitimate, more or less correctly functioning Two Party political system is in fact the exclusive playground of a single Party. Which doesn’t mean there isn’t at least one candidate out there deserving of American voter support: Pennsylvania’s John Fetterman.

No, really, I mean it. Seriously, you guys.

Sure “Dr. Oz” is a terrible, unlikable candidate but Fetterman? The guy lived with his parents most of his life, wears a hooded sweatshirt everywhere and had a stroke fairly recently and can barely talk. Yet he is about to be a freaking U.S. Senator. I wonder if he will get a collared shirt to wear or will keep up his phony “guy who has never had a job populism”?

Arthur reels off this litany of Fetterman’s repellent character traits as if they weren’t solid reasons to “vote” for the indolent, misshapen layabout, when in truth the “man” is as perfect an exemplar of the modern “American” political tapeworm as I can imagine. Plus, with Fetterman befouling the US Senate, his lack of ability or accomplishment, overweening self-regard, and obvious inability to utter a coherent sentence will make him a perfect partner for the Usurper in Chief, pResident Pedo Pete himself. With those two creeps infesting Mordor On The Potomac, we’ll have ourselves a matched set. And that’s before we even get around to considering the bizarre neck bulge:

Having read Arthur’s work for long enough and regularly enough by now to be fully cognizant of his intelligence and his writerly skills, don’t anybody think for a minute I’m slamming him here. He knows as well as any of us exactly what blind faith in the ability of our “elections” to produce very much, if anything, in the way of positive outcomes buys us. Thus:

Expectations are already being tamped down in the serious circles while idiot Boomercons on Newsmax and Fox News social media are still yammering about the “red wave”. As for me, I expect to see both chambers of Congress remain in Dem hands, maybe with slimmer majorities. We will see. Either way it will happen without my participation in the farce.

Having cheated once and gotten away with it, why would you think they will ever allow a free and fair election again?

Perzackly. Even assuming a “free and fair election” anyway, say we actually DO put more Repugnicans into national office in November, or any other time. And then…what? Business as usual, that’s what. While I always hate to see DemonRats in power anywhere, at any level, in the end we’re left with one lamentable fact: the only value retained by our entirely corrupt national elections at this point is as pure entertainment.

Just in time for Christmas!

Kuenstler has the latest on the new Fauxvid vaccine, rigorously tested on eight (8) lab mice, every one of whom…ummm, got Fauxvid. Surprise! But the part I want to address involves another matter altogether, one that Our Side has been all abuzz about of late.

Following his Mouth-of-Hell speech last week, declaring war on half the country, “Joe Biden’s” prospects are dimming along with sclerotic circuits in his brainpan. The Party of Chaos is desperate to survive the midterm election. Therefore, look for them to grudge up an excuse to make them not happen. They need a “national emergency” and they’ll manufacture one if necessary. Wait for it.

Sorry, can’t see it. Not that The Enemy would refrain from cancelling the impending “election” out of moral or ethical concerns, mind. No, they won’t do it for a purely pragmatic reason. To wit: they don’t need to. That being the case, why should they, then? They pulled off the 2020 hijacking without a hitch; who even knows how many other times it’s been done over the years, but there can be no doubt that “Democrats” and “election fraud” go together like beans and cornbread. So far, it’s been a winning hand for ’em; why fold now?

Moreover, they’re cunning enough to know that perpetuating the battered and bruised charade of “elections” will far better serve their purposes than pulling back the curtain on exactly what they’re talking about when they sanctimoniously fulminate on “our sacred democracy,” an irreversible act that will affect the national state of play in all sorts of unpredictable ways, none of them happy-making, a risk-fraught throwing of a switch that can’t be switched back off again. Ever.

They know they need to keep the wool pulled over as many Real American eyes as possible, to make sure overly optimistic Milquetoast conservatives remain blindly invested in the idea of more-or-less “free and fair elections” for as long as they can. The transparent, brazen fraudulence of 2020’s farce was a blatant thumb in Election Integrity’s eye if ever there was one; the docile, supine non-response reassured them that a successful repeat performance was eminently possible.

Nope, I can conjure no reason whatsoever for them to cancel any elections, and every reason in the world NOT to. At least until they’re taught that it will assuredly cost them to do so, and I mean dearly.

Putting a face on the Deep State

Bill Barr’s, for one.

“Number one is that I think a lot of the attacks on the FBI are over the top because a decision like this is not made by the FBI,” former Attorney General William Barr told the Bari Weiss podcast on August 25.

“In fact, I don’t think the FBI would push a decision that it’s best to go in and search and obtain those documents after being jerked around for a year and a half. The decision would be made at the Department of Justice, by subordinates of the AG, and ultimately signed off on by the AG. The FBI would be told to go and execute it. I think the idea that the FBI is the problem here is misplaced.”

The former AG was more disturbed by “the constant pandering to outrage” on the right, without discussion of whether the outrage had any merit. The FBI seized Trump’s passports, leaving the impression that the former president had committed a crime and was now a flight risk. FBI agents also rummaged through the closets of Melania Trump, an act of pure intimidation. With Trump attorneys forced outside, the FBI could easily have planted or destroyed information. If that is not cause for outrage, it’s hard to imagine what might qualify.

On the other hand, the former AG explained, “I don’t think that Chris Wray is that type of leader nor do I think the people around Chris Wray are those types of leaders,” people who might “throw the FBI’s weight around to interfere in the political process.” Barr thinks Wray is “very cautious about that,” but observers have to wonder.

When selected as FBI boss, Wray denied any “spying” had taken place against the Trump campaign. As the world now knows, the FBI did spy on the Trump campaign. In 2018, Wray proclaimed, “I do not believe special counsel Mueller is on a witch hunt.”

Mueller’s “professional investigation,” aided by partisan Democrats, turned up no evidence of collusion with Russia. All told, Christopher Wray doesn’t sound like someone who is “very cautious” about interfering in the political process. Wray is all-in with the Mar-a-Lago raid, and as it turns out, so is William Barr.

“What is the nature of the highly classified information?” Barr wondered. “What is the evidence, if any, of active conceit by the president or those around him in Mar-a-Lago to mislead the government?” Remember, in Barr’s view, Trump had been “jerking around” the FBI for a year and a half, so they had to launch the raid.

To all but the willfully blind, the FBI is now the American KGB, and like that organization engaged in “special tasks,” not exactly within the law. The FBI plants evidence (funds planted on Trump associate George Papodopoulos), falsifies evidence (Kevin Clinesmith changing the email about Carter Page), engages in political stagecraft, (the fake Whitmer kidnap plot) and pressures social media platforms to avoid news of Hunter Biden’s laptop, supposedly “Russian disinformation.”

Back in 2020, Attorney General Barr hadn’t seen evidence of voter fraud on a scale that would have affected the outcome of the election. Weiss did not press Barr for details on the audits his DOJ conducted on races that suddenly reversed in favor of Biden.

Barr provided no tallies of the number of illegals who had voted in California, where the “motor voter” program automatically registers illegals to vote. Stuffed ballot boxes, as shown in 2000 Mules, also escaped his notice. No second thoughts about voter fraud, but the former AG and CIA man remained certain about POTUS 45.

“Trump is his own worst enemy,” Barr told Weiss. “He’s incorrigible. He doesn’t take advice from people. I said to him when I first started that I thought he was going to lose the election unless he adjusted a little bit. And if he did adjust, he could go down in history as a great president. He continued to be self-indulgent and petty and turned off key constituencies that ultimately made the difference in the election.”

For the former AG, voter fraud had nothing to do with it. Embattled Americans can thank Barr for providing a moment of clarity.

Donald Trump is not his own worst enemy. Donald Trump’s worst enemies include his own attorney general, members of his own party, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which has now crossed the line.

Whatever special tasks the FBI has planned, former attorney general William Barr will be there to back them up, just as he did with FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi. The defender of the deep state can be no friend of the people.

Precisely, indubitably so. I was foolish enough to buy into all the “square shooter, impartial seeker of truth and justice” guff early on, which in hindsight is kinda embarrassing. As a commenter puts it, Bill Barr IS the Deep State; he and his ilk can only ever be part of the problem, never the solution.

Is we is, or is we ain’t?

This sort of Pollyanna drivel and half-assed “let’s don’t really fight for anything” horsesh*t is why we lost the Vietnam War. Either Gardiner should know better, or he wants to lose like that again.

If you’re going to fight this “civil war” the way you fought the War On Poverty, the War On Drugs, and the War On Communism, you’re going to get the exact same results:

Rolled the fuck up, and shitcanned by Reality.

So either this wingnut doesn’t want to win, or doesn’t think it’s an actual civil war. Thus, he’s either evil, or stupid. There’s no third option to choose there.

Wellll, I dunno about all THAT, now. Depends on how badly one wants to give the poor schlub the benefit of the doubt and just leave off at calling him, shall we say, overly optimistic, I suppose.

Which, honestly, I can’t say I do, my own self. At ALL.

I’m surprised he didn’t suggest writing a sternly-worded letter to the editor, holding a sit-in, or organizing a protest rally. Or maybe just shitting in your pants and hoping the smell will make the bad people go away.

If it’s really a civil war, and you really want to win, half-stepping half-assed half-measures aren’t going to get it done.

It’s going to take shooting m—–f—–s in the face.

Yup, that’s about the size of it. You don’t have to like it; in fact, you really shouldn’t, if you’re a normal, sane, decent human-type being. But you DO have to accept it, and that’s flat. Trust me when I advise you that you’ll want to read all of this one, folks.

Though it saddens me to have to do it, given my erstwhile fondness and respect for the PiQ (Pundit in Question, ie Kurt Schlichter), I have an Exhibit B to add to the already-airtight case made by Aesop above.

Oh, Mike Pence, you soft, naive little man. Oh, Tim Scott, you kind and friendly gentleman. I like you both. I really do. I would love you to be my neighbors. If I ran short of sugar or charcoal, you’d square me away. Not so much bourbon, but whatever. If I asked you to help me move or give me a ride to the airport, you suckers would be all in because you are nice guys. And that’s your problem and the problem of Republicans like you. You are nice guys in a time that calls for ruthless killers who want to destroy our enemies and leave them on their backs, figuratively cockroaching on the floor.

We want vengeance and victory. You want hugs. I guess that’s nice. Hugworld would be pleasant, but it’s the hardcore bomb throwers who get us to that stage by pummeling our enemies into submission. You find that unsavory, disconcerting, unseemly. You would prefer a world of comity, collegiality, and unicorns. And that ain’t happening until we warrior cons have broken our enemy – yeah, I used the “E” word – and exacted our payback and thereby ensured that their pain is so great that they will not dare even dream of repeating this nonsense again for a generation for fear of our righteous wrath.

Schlichter rattles on a goodish while with that “ruthless killers,” “destroy our enemies,” “vengeance and victory,” “hardcore bomb throwers” guff—none of which is incorrect or overstated, mind—before winding up exactly where we all knew too well he was going to.

It’s time to accept reality and embrace the suck. The suck is that we are in a fight. It’s not going to be over when we pass a few laws or overturn some terrible precedents; those are necessary but far from sufficient actions. No, we are in a long and brutal political struggle where the stakes are our liberty, and while you want to figuratively clutch your pearls and worry about whether this is who we are, we know who we are. And we are the guys and gals who want to figuratively don our plate armor, sharpen our broadswords, and get some, Knight Templar-style.

Emphasis mine, and truly, truly pathetic at this late date. “We must FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHTY-FIGHT-FIGHT!!!“ Just, y’know, not REALLY. “Our liberty is at stake here!” Correct, what tattered remnants of it we haven’t already lost by now. But if we can’t win it back by merely VOTING HARDERER at them, well…meh, never mind, then.

I swear, I read silly-ass shit like this and begin to wonder if perhaps we don’t richly deserve every single last morsel of the innumerable buckets of shit they’ve dumped over our heads so far.

Update! Wow. I mean, just…WOW.

In any normal circumstance, people can be reasonable and find a middle ground. A Republican and Democrat voter can sit down and have a meaningful and polite conversation about politics. Republicans and Democrats even get married to one another.

But socialists like the kind you’ve seen lately aren’t like these people. They don’t have any interest in talking with people, they want to talk at. They don’t like debating, they would rather silence and censor the opposition. They don’t see you as a person and have no trouble pardoning horrible things being done unto you by their own allies.

This should be understood if we’re to truly push back against them. They’re on a mission that borders on the religious. Politics isn’t just an interesting topic of conversation or a view that informs your vote. They live and breathe politics because it’s the avenue with which to usher in their socialist utopia. They can’t stop themselves from seeing it in everything they do, every sight they see, and every bite they eat. Everything from hair to math has political weight and they will find a way to utilize mundane objects to advantage their narrative if they need to.

I hate to view anyone as a lost cause but you’re very rarely ever going to come across a socialist who actually has anything but contempt for America and the people who support it. They view you as factless idiots on the wrong side of history. They will destroy everything you love under the guise that it’s for the betterment of the human race, but because feeding their spite with action feels good.

You are no longer just fighting over policy, you’re fighting over your existence as a free human being.

This means that when we go elect people to fight them in Washington, the people we send to fight aren’t going to make deals and try to find a middle ground with them. We need to send those willing to wage political war. They need to be willing to tear down the agencies and institutions that these people love to nest in.

None of that I find too terribly annoying; hell, most of it is true enough, really. But after going all wobbly in that penultimate ‘graph, the very last line is truly in a class of its own.

You are in a war. Vote like it.

Because see, as every historically-literate person will tell you, wars are usually won or lost through the…oh, ferchrissakes.

Same as it ever was

Bayou Pete commends the late John Ross’s Unintended Consequences, an early-on staple of the dystopian-future/Civil War v2.0 genre, to our attention, posting an excerpt from the hefty 700-page tome’s Author’s Note as a lure for prospective readers.

A friend in law enforcement told me that because of this book’s content, I should not let it be published under my own name. Violent events happen in this story, and our country’s current situation is such that these events could indeed come to pass. My friend’s fear was that this book might precipitate such violence. He told me to expect to have drugs planted in my car during routine traffic stops, or have other similar miseries befall me and my family. He advised that if I did have this work published, I should use a pseudonym, employ an intermediary for all publisher contact, and in general prevent myself from being linked to the finished work, to avoid reprisals.

I didn’t do that, not only because of free speech considerations, but because I disagree with my friend’s hypothesis. I believe that if the instigators glimpse what may lie ahead, they will alter their behavior before wholesale violence becomes unavoidable. It is my hope that this book will reduce the likelihood of armed conflict in this country.

History has shown us that government leaders often ignore the fundamental fact that people demand both dignity and freedom. Because of this disregard, these decision-makers then initiate acts that are ultimately self-destructive. To illustrate this point I will remind the reader of the origin of two of modern history’s most destructive events, and of all the warning flags that were frantically waving while the instigators rushed headlong towards the abyss.

In the late 19th and very early 20th centuries, European leaders formed two major alliances. Germany, Austria, and Italy comprised one coalition, and Britain, France, and Russia the other. Belgium remained neutral per an 1839 treaty signed by all of these nations except Italy. The smaller European countries became indirectly involved in the two aforementioned alliances. One such example was Serbia, a country Russia had pledged to aid in the event of war between Serbia and Austria. Despite Russia’s presence, Austria annexed a large part of Serbia, a province called Bosnia, in 1908.

Few people remain emotionally indifferent when their culture and country are taken over by an aggressor, and the Bosnian Serbs were no exception. Many Bosnians despised the government that had chilled their independence. In spite of this obvious fact, the Austrian leaders sent an archduke to the capital of Bosnia to survey the people Austria now ruled. This archduke was resplendent in full military ceremonial dress, festooned with medals and other military decorations, and accompanied by his elegantly-dressed wife. An objective observer might at this point have said, “Stripping motivated people of their dignity and rubbing their noses in it is a very bad idea.”

As we all know, the Archduke Ferdinand’s assassination has reverberated and echoed throughout world history ever since the day it occurred, beginning with its immediate consequence, WW1, leading in its turn to WW2, and continuing right on through the Bosnia-Serbia conflict of the 1990s. In our time, the war-tocsin’s reverberations are starting to sound downright clangorous once again.

Today in America, honest, successful, talented, productive, motivated people are once again being stripped of their freedom and dignity and having their noses rubbed in it. The conflict has been building for over half a century, and once again warning flags are frantically waving while the instigators rush headlong towards the abyss, and their doom.

It is my hope that these people will stop and reverse their course before they reach the point where such reversal is no longer possible.

Sadly, tragically, our own wannabe despots seem to be no more intelligent, reflective, or modest than their predecessors, making any reversal of their hell-bent-for-leather race to catastrophe and horror unlikely in the extreme. Peter follows up with some essential, if grim, wisdom that none but a self-serving, supremely arrogant ProPol could fail to take note of.

I believe the (fictional) internal conflict that John Ross foresaw for the USA back in 1995 is perilously close to becoming a reality in 2022. The reasons are more varied and complex than he predicted almost thirty years ago, but the outcome is likely to be very similar. I hope and pray that doesn’t happen, because I’ve seen civil war and internal conflict in several nations and know how absolutely, genuinely horrific it can be for those caught up in it. However, those pushing to impose their views and policies on the rest of the country appear blind to that reality. They simply won’t leave people alone. They’re imposing their views and insisting that the people of this country “get with the program” – or else. (To cite just one current example, adding 87,000 people to the IRS is not about more efficient functioning of that agency. It’s about picking on dissenters and making their lives unbearable, just as the IRS did when it was “weaponized” under the Obama administration. Expect the same thing today as then, only on steroids.)

I hope John Ross’s vision of what might happen in the USA may never come to pass…but I fear that may be a pipe dream. Read his novel for yourself. It seems eerily prescient in many ways.

Prescient? I’d say so, yeah. Not having read Ross’s classic yet myself, I took advantage of Peter’s link to the free version and downloaded it (there’s also a for-pay edition available at Amazon), for which gracious inclusion I humbly thank him.

The “cream” of the crap

I figured, as well as very much hoped, that Steyn might have a thing or two to say about the execrable, loathsome FBI’s abominable act of Stasi-level thuggery against not just Trump, not just every Heritage American, but against decency itself. Happily, he didn’t let me down.

For almost a decade and a half now, the American “republic” has been decaying to the defining condition of a one-party state – that is, the total merger of the ruling party and the state. Last night, the dirty stinking rotten corrupt US Department of Justice signed off on a raid on Mar-a-Lago, so we’ve now moved into hardcore banana-republic territory: the regime’s cops are busting into the home of the opposition leader. We’re told this is because Trump took some “classified” documents with him when he left Washington. Yeah, that’s always a pretext for an armed raid: You could ask Hillary Clinton or Sandy Berger.

The FBI has been getting more brazen about its political thuggery this last year, increasingly relaxed about putting its thumb on the democratic scale. As my old pal from Hillsdale days, Joy Pullman, notes in a column written pre-Mar-a-Lago:

In Michigan, the FBI openly meddled in the upcoming election by affecting the selection of candidates, arresting and charging the formerly leading Republican candidate for governor for misdemeanors. The FBI raided Ryan Kelley’s home while polls showed him leading the primaries. In the primary election last week, he came in fourth.

Mission accomplished – and all while too many stars of the rube right were still insisting that there are just a few bad apples at the top, I know the rank-and-file, they’re salt of the earth, straight-shooting G-men, they gave me this cute lapel pin, etc, etc. There are no straight-shooting G-men: Who do you think are manning the raids, you chumps? Where are the whistle-blowers? Or even the guys who say, “No thanks, I didn’t sign up for this”? It’s a wholly corrupted institution and has been for the best part of a decade. The default position for what’s left of the opposition party ought to be that the FBI is beyond reform, and will be replaced by a new agency with vastly circumscribed powers.

Annnnnd BINGO. The vile Chris Wray—doubtless the very bottom of a too-deep barrel of inexplicably piss-poor Trump hires as President, alas—wasn’t present at the lawless fishing expedition. Nor was AG Merrick Garland along for the ride, the worthless bag of Lizard-person shit. Nope, every last one of the 30 or so jackbooted thugs at MAL, all of whom Grand Master-rank clueless doofi like poor Sean Hannity still mulishly laud as fine and honorable Americans, were plucked from Famous But Incompetent’s over-ballyhooed rank and file.

There is no “cream” of the FBI crop; it’s nothing but curds, lumps, and a sour, offensive odor all the way down. And from the rogue agency’s inception, it’s been that way. Of all the misbegotten, brutish, and obscenely powerful FederalGovCo divisions, the FBI has always been one of the very worst of the whole sorry lot. How could any agency founded and shaped under the tutelage of a conniving, twisted wretch like J Edgar Hoover—may he roast in Hell for a thousand millennia—be anything but rotten to the very soles of its expensive Italian loafers?

Ahh, but it gets worse yet.

Instead, I see Kevin McCarthy is now threatening Merrick Garland with an “investigation” and ordering him to preserve all documents. Ooooooh! Maybe, after the coming Republican landslide, they can appoint an independent counsel; maybe John Durham or Robert Mueller is available. Why would anyone take McCarthy’s threat seriously? If you don’t grasp that in today’s America there is no equality before the law, there is no point even discussing public affairs.

As for Trump, well, on The Mark Steyn Show three days after the “election” I suggested:

It’s my view that after the Biden regime takes power, as in many coup situations, they will want to have the previous leader arrested. I’m being perfectly serious here. It is the intention of the Democrat Party to put Trump in jail. So, when he launches the ‘Trump News Network’, it’s gonna need to be based out of Costa Rica or the Turks and Caicos or somewhere.

Does that sound a little extreme? Well, here was The Washington Post’s recovering “conservative” columnist Jennifer Rubin round about the same time:

It’s not only that @realDonaldTrump has to lose, his enablers have to lose. We have to collectively burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them. Because if there are survivors….they will do it again.

“Survivors”? There’s that ol’ Churchillian magnanimity in victory. As I said five days after the “election”:

My advice is to take Ms Rubin and her chums at their word…

Even if they never succeed in gaoling him, they will surely use the “peaceful transition” to put in place a couple of decades’ worth of litigation-without-end. Come to that, can he even trust the Secret Service agents they’ll assign to him?

He will never be a ‘normal’ former president – because they are determined to exclude him from those ranks.

“Normal” is not a word to apply to present-day Washington – which is why my advice to President Trump during that “peaceful transition of power” was to get the hell out of the country and be the king across the water. The purpose of Liz Cheney’s January 6th “hearings” is to lay the groundwork for turning Trump into just another of those poor schlubs who were wandering around the Capitol in MAGA hats and ever since have been in solitary awaiting a scheduling hearing for a conference call on a pre-trial hearing for their constitutionally guaranteed “speedy trial”.

Agreed, one million billion kajillion percent. In fact, after learning that Trump had asserted his 5A right against self-incrimination yesterday during one of the forty or fifty ongoing “investigations” into everything from his hairstyle choices to whether or not he enjoyed a good, stiff dump this morning, I’m comfortable with laying a most grim prediction on the table for all y’all.

To wit: It is now my belief that, barring some outlandish, unforeseeable occurrence up to and including Divine intervention, Donald J Trump will be locked up in a federal penitentiary within no more than one (1) year from today’s date.

Mark your calendars, folks.

The common, increasingly-irritating notion that this whole sordid business revolves entirely and exclusively around the 2024 “election” is the product of far too narrow, too small-time a viewpoint. Trump’s legion of enemies, tormentors, and anklebiters have long been known, rightly, as long-term planners, malefactors possessed of a near-infinite store of patience. And if Our Side ought to have learned anything at all about their ilk by now, it’s that they have more than sufficient will and determination to see to it that things work out exactly that way.

Worst of all, their brass-balled expectation that Real Americans will sit idly by once more and just let it all happen without demur appears at this stage of the game to be wholly justified. Maybe I’m all wet on that, at least; I could easily be, and I hope to God I am, frankly. But right now, it ain’t looking to me like it’s the way to bet. Steyn’s conclusion is in no wise reassuring, to say the very least.

Oh, relax, the Durham Report will be coming any day now! If you’re still talking about “investigations” and “hearings”, you’ve already lost. If that’s the best McCarthy can do, it’s hopelessly insufficient to the moment: There ought to be total non-cooperation with the regime by the GOP with the intent of bringing it to a standstill – because this “administration has gone way beyond politics and is corrupting institutions to a degree that will make violence inevitable.

Oh, but don’t worry, says McCarthy, there’s that Big Red Wave coming in November.

Gee, I dunno, Victor, have they EVER been? Even just once? It’s why I’ve always found the empty threats from Our Guys warning shitlibs about how deeply, deeply unhappy they’re going to be when Repugnicants turn the tables and start flinging their own shit back in their faces so annoying—it just never, ever seems to happen, for some strange reason.

Have leftists ever read Thucydides on the stasis at Corcyra and his warning that zealots who destroy laws, customs, and traditions for short-term gain, soon rue the day they began making such changes when, in vain, they seek refuge in the very sanctuaries of behavior that they have destroyed?

Only one small problem with that proposition: they’ll never rue a friggin’ thing unless and until they’re given cause to rue something. Absent that, we’re all just having a wank here, nothing more.

How about the new protocols regarding the Supreme Court?

Should conservatives mass at the home of Justice Sonia Sotomayor, decrying her radical nihilist abortionist ideology? Is that an understandable cri de coeur? Would such intimidation in the future moderate her extremism? Is that now an acceptable strategy?

It damned well ought to be, yes.

Should Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) now lead a throng of screaming, right-wing protestors to the very doors of the Supreme Court? Should he egg them on by calling out by name Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Sotomayor, warning that they have sown the “wind” and will soon reap the “whirlwind,” as they will have no idea what “hit” them?

Is that moral courage?

Who the hell cares? What it is, is effective. Or it has been for them, at any rate. In the end, that’s all that really matters. “Moral courage” doesn’t amount to a hill of beans when your foe is consistently kicking your ass up between your shoulder blades.

Will the next FBI director preposterously open an investigation during the 2024 election, on rumors that the activities of the Biden family, of General Mark Milley, of Anthony Fauci, of key senators with Chinese financial interests all constitute a sort-of-kind-of “collusion” conspiracy with China, aimed at advancing a self-enriching and mutual left-wing agenda in the presidential election?

Will the FBI director claim 245 times under oath before Congress he has no memory of what he has ordered? Will it be a slap-on-the-wrist, reduced-sentence tacit approval that an FBI lawyer altered a court document to ensure we get to the bottom of “Chinese collusion”? Is it alright if we learn that a Republican presidential candidate hired a foreign ex-spy, and hid his pay behind three walls, to find dirt on his opponents?

Will Congress bring in some old right-wing FBI retired bulldog to compile a “dream team” of Federalist Society legal zealots to hunt for “Chinese collusion” among Democratic grandees?

Wrong question. The RIGHT question: Is there any conceivable reason we shouldn’t do exactly that?

In sum, are today’s norms tomorrow’s norms?

Or were they simply transitory and necessary in the age of the dreaded Trump—as one-time leftist means to achieve noble ends, and thus should never be institutionalized much less boomeranged?

If so, will they reappear whenever the Left returns to power?

Or should they be applied equally to the Left right now to ensure that outrage and disgust with such immoral and illegal machinations prohibit their use in the future?

Depends, I suppose, on whether or not Team Liberty has lost so much they’ve gotten tired of all the losing, to turn a Trumpian phrase, and wishes to try winning for a refreshing change of pace. Myself, I heartily approve of and endorse commenter cxt’s suggestion:

Shipping illegals to Democrat strongholds for example–forcing them to live with the consequences of their policies is a good start.

Exclusive-Former Republicans and Democrats Form New Third U.S. Political Party
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -Dozens of former Republican and Democratic officials announced on Wednesday a new national political third party to appeal to millions of voters they say are dismayed with what they see as America’s dysfunctional two-party system.

The new party, called Forward and whose creation was first reported by Reuters, will initially be co-chaired by former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and Christine Todd Whitman, the former Republican governor of New Jersey. They hope the party will become a viable alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties that dominate U.S. politics, founding members told Reuters.

The new party is being formed by a merger of three political groups that have emerged in recent years as a reaction to America’s increasingly polarized and gridlocked political system. The leaders cited a Gallup poll last year showing a record two-thirds of Americans believe a third party is needed.

I agree wholeheartedly, an alternative to the tatterdemalion Uniparty charade IS needed, and quite badly. Alas, this ain’t it.

The merger involves the Renew America Movement, formed in 2021 by dozens of former officials in the Republican administrations of Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Donald Trump; the Forward Party, founded by Yang, who left the Democratic Party in 2021 and became an independent; and the Serve America Movement, a group of Democrats, Republicans and independents whose executive director is former Republican congressman David Jolly.

See what I mean? The same old hacks pulling the same old strings; the same old influencers, gladhanders, logrollers, and backstabbers, running the same old scams and shams—not much inspiring, encouraging, or new here, not as far as these eyes can see. My God, even the names are the same.

As I’ve so often said of Biden: if these career political operators really DO know how to fix what needs fixing, and really DO want to see it fixed, then why on earth haven’t they jumped in and done so at any point over the many decades they’ve been content to soak up the graft, peddle the influence, and loll lazily about in the reassuringly tepid waters of the DC swamp? What the bleedin’ hell have they been waiting for all this time, anyway?

But hey, I’m willing to be fair about this. Let’s give them the benefit of assuming they really are sincere about what they’re saying and do them the courtesy of having a look at their program before we just dismiss them out of hand as peddlers of the same old shinola, shall we?

Two pillars of the new party’s platform are to “reinvigorate a fair, flourishing economy” and to “give Americans more choices in elections, more confidence in a government that works, and more say in our future.”

The party, which is centrist, has no specific policies yet. It will say at its Thursday launch: “How will we solve the big issues facing America? Not Left. Not Right. Forward.”

Well, hey, that’s certainly a bold, innovative agenda you fellas have come up with, I must say! Nothing vague, evasive, or slippery about any of that, nosiree BOB! In fact, with the right dressing on top, that there might actually be the crispest, most flavorful word-salad ever plated up. Get ready to CHOW DOWN, American voterpersonages!!!

“Centrist,” he says. “FORWARD,” no less. Le sigh.

Another person involved in the creation of Forward, Miles Taylor – a former Homeland Security official in the Trump administration – said the idea was to give voters “a viable, credible national third party.”

Taylor acknowledged that third parties had failed in the past, but said: “The fundamentals have changed. When other third party movements have emerged in the past it’s largely been inside a system where the American people aren’t asking for an alternative. The difference here is we are seeing an historic number of Americans saying they want one.”

Oh, trust me, we do, we do. Problem is, it’s an alternative to YOU FUCKING PEOPLE that we’re all in search of here, not just the same old shit on a fancy new shingle you’re putting out.

Another somewhat amusing aspect to this shit-a-palooza: if you Duck Duck Go-search on the article’s title entire, you might notice that pretty much EVERY news outlet extant includes that screaming “Exclusive” claim, from Yahoo to MSN to Reuters to…well, all of ’em. Apparently, words no longer mean anydamnedthing at all these days. EXCLUSIVE PRO TIP: when everybody and his sister’s cat’s grandmother runs the exact same article, it is definitionally incorrect to boast that what you have is in any meaningful sense “exclusive.”

One would hope that people who make a living as purveyors of the written word might know better. One would be doomed to disappointment.

What a pathetic fucking boob.

“Biden shakes hands with the air … again” is the label on a video clip of President Joe Biden after he receives the Presidential Medal of Honor from Israeli President Isaac Herzog at an event in Jerusalem on Thursday.

What the actual fuck has this Clown Prince Of Corruption EVER done that could possibly merit a Presidential Medal of Honor citaton—from ANYBODY?!? Be that as it may, just sit back and enjoy the show, as I&I bats this witless stumblebum around like a drool-damp cat toy.

After shaking hands with Herzog, Biden turns and appears to extend his hand again to shake…with nobody. This is the second time Biden has made this odd move. Back in April, he did the same thing, and the clip went viral enough that the “fact-checking” press had to rush in to defend Biden, saying he was simply gesturing to the audience.

This time, there is no audience, just a couple of empty chairs.

It’s not entirely clear from the video why Biden extends his hand like this. It almost appears as though he’s giving himself stage directions, as in “now head over this way, Mr. President.”

Whatever Biden was thinking, it’s clear that he is incredibly enfeebled, as he shuffles stiffly over to his seat, with Herzog literally guiding him and pointing at the chair where Biden is supposed to sit.

Ahh, but the imbecile was only getting warmed up.

It is an embarrassing moment for Biden, and a troubling one for the nation, given that our enemies are no doubt paying close attention to this buffoon, even as our domestic press covers for him.

But that’s not the most embarrassing handshake flub at this event.

After carefully making his way down to his chair, Biden smiles – as though happy with his achievement – and then he and Herzog watch a pop duet sing a Hebrew rendition of “Let it Be.”

At the end of the song, they walk over to the singers, and Biden shakes hands with Ran Danker (forgetting that he’d promised to forgo handshakes while in Israel because of COVID).

Then he reaches out to shake Yuval Dayan’s hand. But she refuses to reciprocate. And Biden is left hanging.

Might there be a very good reason for that refusal, aside from a perfectly understandable disinclination to have the decrepit serial-kiddie-diddler physically touching one’s person in any way, for any reason? But of course there might.

Why would she do that?

Don’t look to the American media to note what happened, let alone explain it.

For that, we have to turn to Jewish news sites.

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reports that Dayan “is famous in Israel in part for becoming more religiously observant, embracing the principle of shomer negiah, a prohibition on opposite-sex touching that some Orthodox Jews believe is required. The prohibition is rooted in the idea that any touch can lead to sexual impropriety.”

Particularly when it’s Joey Rapefingers we’re talking about. He’s notorious for that sort of thing, having been molesting every female, of whatever age, that makes the serious mistake of getting within arm’s reach of the sicko since time immemorial.

“I made sure to notify everyone in the president’s office that I am shomeret negiah,” she said, according the JTA report.

So, what? Nobody told Biden this? Nobody instructed him to respect her faith?

Of course they did, as is specifically mentioned above by Grampy Gropey’s latest victim. As always, he just doesn’t give a shit. Other possibilities, all of them entirely credible and quite damned likely:

The Administrative State Moves To Show Who’s Boss On Energy Policy
Last Thursday, June 30, the Supreme Court issued its decision in West Virginia v. EPA, holding that, absent a further explicit statute from the Congress, the EPA did not have the authority to orchestrate its planned fundamental restructuring of the electric power generation sector of the economy. More generally, the Supreme Court stated that in cases involving “major questions,” including regulations that affect large portions of the economy, the government must demonstrate “clear congressional authorization” to support a sweeping effort to regulate.

Do you think that such a Supreme Court decision might cause the various regulatory bureaucracies to slow down and reconsider a little before plowing ahead with other dubious plans for fundamental economic restructurings? That’s not how these bureaucracies work. And such is most particularly the case with regard to regulators of the energy sector, sometimes known as “climate change” arena, where the bureaucrats are burning with a righteous religious fervor that they believe entitles them to cast the evil sinners into the fires of hell.

And thus, contemporaneous with the Supreme Court’s decision, several agencies promptly doubled down on efforts to strangle the oil and gas industries with regulatory restrictions, essentially daring the courts or anyone else to stop them. Thousands of pages of statutes give them thousands of arguments to claim they have the “clear congressional authorization,” any one of which arguments might stick. They are now out to show who’s boss.

EPA Administrator Michael Regan wasted no time in getting a statement out on the afternoon of June 30. Excerpt:

[W]e are committed to using the full scope of EPA’s authorities to protect communities and reduce the pollution that is driving climate change…EPA will move forward with lawfully setting and implementing environmental standards that meet our obligation to protect all people and all communities from environmental harm.

In other words, we will just have to find other ways to implement the restrictions that we want to implement.

Oh, I can think of at least one really good one right offhand, although things might get a little messy, so to speak, before all’s said and done. Alas, the EPA is hardly alone in their lawless defiance of the Supreme Court. That’s life under a power-drunk government gone rogue, believing itself to be above all sanction, restriction, or oversight.

One can only stand back in slack-jawed wonder at the sheer, unmitigated gall of the EPA’s brandishing of the word “lawfully” up there, waving it in our faces like a billy-club even as they’re so arrogantly disregarding its meaning. All under the holy “climate change” rubric, natch; honestly, is there ANYTHING it can’t do at this point?

That’s typical of bureaucrats, of course. Don’t like a Supreme Court ruling? Defy it. Circumvent it with every paper-shuffling, buck-passing trick at your disposal. Deny, delay, obfuscate. Ignore complaints. It’s not just Democrat administrations that do it, either. The entrenched bureaucracy that implements (?) the decisions of every administration (the so-called “Deep State”) plus the political appointees of every President have always sought ways to do what they want to do, rather than what they should do or what the law says they must do. Lincoln’s abrogation of the right of habeas corpus comes to mind, to cite just one example.

I don’t know what can be done about this. The courts, up to and including the Supreme Court, can issue rulings and injunctions for all they’re worth; but if the powers that be are determined to ignore or circumvent them, there’s no immediate remedy for that. The rule of law is already honored more in the breach than in the observance in many ways in these formerly United States. Nowadays, it all too often depends on one’s politics to determine whether or not the law will operate in one’s favor.

Just don’t expect the Biden administration to be bound by the rule of law, or the decision of courts of law, from the lowest to the highest. It’s partisan in the extreme, and ruthless in its determination to do whatever it wants to achieve its objectives. It won’t be stopped by laws or lawsuits. It’ll need stronger measures than mere words.

Indeed it will. As the filthy bastards go from bad to worse to worse still, they make those “stronger measures” look less dreadful and more and more appealing.

The signs of impending election manipulation on a national scale are all around us, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear them.  It’s already manifesting itself in a minor way, and that’ll gear up to a hurricane by November.

I still have contacts in the Department of Justice, dating back to my days as a prison chaplain. Some of those with whom I had contact in those days, in more than one federal agency, have now reached relatively senior rank. I spoke with a few of them last week, and every one confirmed that there seems to be an air of blithe confidence in the upper reaches of federal government bureaucracy that the Biden administration will be able to continue with its programs, no matter what happens in November. It’s being blatantly referred to as “business as usual, before and after November”. Strange, that, when you read headlines like “Joe Biden and Democrats Stare Into the Abyss After Latest Poll Drops”. It doesn’t sound like the progressive left is staring into any abyss that worries them, does it? – particularly when you read the articles linked above.

Folks, we saw massive electoral manipulation in November 2020. Call it what you like, legal or illegal, valid or invalid, it’s my personal opinion that it amounted to nothing more or less than electoral fraud – a deliberate distortion of the overall popular vote by manipulating certain targeted areas and their voters. I think what we saw then is a pale shadow of what we’re going to see in November 2022. The powers that be are bound and determined that they’re not going to lose control of the House and/or Senate, no matter how unpopular their party may have become; and they have (or believe they have) the tools to make sure that happens, no matter what the will of the electorate may be. They’re going to use every one of those tools, and then some, to win. They are already using them, as the articles linked above demonstrate.

As individuals, we can’t affect what may happen on a national scale;  but we can affect what happens on a local scale. If you care about our constitutional republic, and the democratic expression of the will of the people, please get involved. Volunteer as a poll watcher, or a vote counter, or whatever posts may be available in your area. Support those who are trying to run the election honestly, and watch like a hawk those who are doing otherwise. Speak out. Make sure the election administrators in your area know they’re under scrutiny. Get their names, addresses and other information that may help in future when it comes to dealing with the consequences of any shenanigans.

We know the electoral manipulation tsunami is coming. Let’s start preparing now, so that in its aftermath we can deal with the damage and minimize its long-term effects. Also, no matter how optimistic the forecasts, don’t assume that any side or party has the November 2022 elections “in the bag”. Anything can (and may well) happen between now and then. I expect the dirty tricks to fly thick and fast before we get to the voting booth.

At this stage of the game, Praetorian Media’s continuing, nonchalant dismissal of “Trump’s baseless, unsupported charges” of election chicanery are enough to make any Real American want to puke…or, perhaps, do something a little more, shall we say, kinetically proactive in response.

You guys already know my feelings about all this, so I’ll spare you any further belaboring of that particular point for the nonce. As I’ve said before, it really makes one wonder just how long such shenanigans have been part and parcel of our national “elections,” do it not?

They WANT to believe

I endorse this idea with all my heart and soul.

A satirical writer’s imagination of President Donald Trump in 2018 led to a fantasy script of the unconventional president going viral. In it, Trump was depicted as ordering White House staff to create an entire TV channel devoted to gorillas.

“To appease Trump, White House staff compiled a number of gorilla documentaries into a makeshift gorilla channel, broadcast into Trump’s bedroom from a hastily-constructed transmission tower on the South Lawn,” read an excerpt of the fabricated story published by the Twitter account @pixelatedboat. “However, Trump was unhappy with the channel they had created, moaning that it was ‘boring’ because ‘the gorillas aren’t fighting.’”

Despite being explicit satire, the fable was convincing to many of the same people on the internet who had been persuaded by the media since the start of Trump’s 2016 campaign that he is a “comic book villain.”

The latest conspiracies peddled by the Jan. 6 Committee this week, however, make the fictional tale of Trump’s beloved gorilla channel, posted below in full, appear far more believable. The tall tales coming from the show trial are just as farcical.

Well, I mean, they would be, would they not? That, after all, is why we call them SHOW trials. I had completely forgotten about the hilarious and truly inspired “Gorilla Channel” prank until this most welcome reminder, and Tristan is on the money when he compares the latest madcap episode of the long-running Get Trump! hit comedy series favorably to that earlier one.

On Tuesday, the nine-member panel investigating the regime’s political dissidents brought forward Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

Over her more than two hours of public testimony, Hutchinson gave lawmakers graphic but far-fetched details about a president gone mad as the riot unfolded on Capitol Hill. At one point, she testified with third-hand hearsay that Trump allegedly tried to violently hijack the presidential limousine to drive himself to the congressional chambers, saying “I’m the f’ing president, take me up to the Capitol now,” and lunging at the throat of his head of security.

According to Hutchinson’s sloppily thrown-together fairy tale, Trump actually reached across the seat back trying to wrestle control of the wheel from his chaffeur, the problem with which ought to be readily apparent to anyone acquainted with a few basic facts about limousines. To wit:

Bit of a reach, wouldn’tcha say? Then again, this guy, who seems to be completely credible, says no, it really did happen. He even captured some video proof of the momentous event:


Okay, I retract my earlier mockery of the lying bint Hutchinson’s lame-ass stab at making the kangaroos on the J6 “court” happy; clearly, this video is much too cool for it NOT to be completely factual and on the level.

All kidding around aside, Hutchinson’s laughable fabrication went all to pieces even faster than is usual for these seemingly endless get-Trump™ schemes, which is pretty damned fast. This one sputtered out within a cpl-three hours of its inception, when Hutchinson’s alleged “sources” all offered to testify under oath that none of it ever actually occurred. Nothing whatsoever new in such clumsy, ham-handed dishonesty from the Swamp vermin, as everyone here will surely be aware.

Tuesday’s unsubstantiated tales aside, Hutchinson’s debunked testimony is far from the only time the Jan. 6 Committee has made up claims to perpetuate its chosen narrative. In December, committee members deceptively manipulated text messages twice, and Cheney fabricated a false timeline of Jan. 6 to indict Trump as complicit in the chaos. Just last week, the committee lied about a DOJ attorney’s involvement in the president’s efforts to halt the certification of the election.

The entire Jan. 6 Committee is built on a conspiracy, weaponizing the levers of government after two failed impeachments to smear political dissidents as having orchestrated a fascist plot to take over the U.S. government. Trump, the story goes, corralled his supporters in Washington, inflamed the mob, and ordered them to overthrow Congress in a failed coup. Cheney painted this exact picture in a statement announcing her intent to impeach. Never mind that the president explicitly instructed his supporters gathered in the capital to protest “peacefully.”

Trump, however, is no stranger to opponents concocting conspiracies to indict him, whether it be allegations of manipulating the Postal Service to rig the election or serving in the Oval Office as a covert Russian agent. The Jan. 6 Committee has merely become the Democrats’ latest hoax, capitalizing on a friendly press eager to pass on portrayals of the former president as being engaged in ludicrous behavior no matter how credible. And yet, their base will still believe what they’re told.

At this rate, the Jan. 6 investigators might as well study whether Trump actually watched the gorilla channel — an equally unbelievable tale. News of the channel might not highlight any episodes of presidential malfeasance, but neither does the president telling a crowd of supporters to protest peacefully.

Since facts, objective reality, and the plain and simple truth are always so inconveniently at variance with the shitlib narrative, making shit up from whole cloth like this is no more than de rigeur for them, the very first arrow they pull from the quiver. The only real surprise here is that, even with such vast experience doing it, they’re no better at lying than they are. In any event, I must reiterate my endorsement of an intense, thorough Congressional investigation of Trump’s Gorilla Channel obssession. The more we hear about all things GC, the better I’ll be pleased.

To show the potential issues with Red Flag laws, I shall discuss what happened to a client with the issuance of a protection order against him. He had an ex-wife who was bipolar and who refused to take her meds. She continued to harass him years after their divorce.

She showed up to court with a black eye and said he punched her in the face. She sought a protective order against him, which the judge issued. She also filed a criminal complaint for assault against a woman. The protective order statute requires gun confiscation until hearing.

Client learned about this when the police showed up to serve him with the order and summons for court appearance. He was stunned by this not only because he didn’t hit her but because he was out of the state on the date this supposedly happened. He told the police this.

The police shrugged and said we’re just here to serve you and get your guns. That is true. The cops do not adjudicate, they only do what the court says. So he turned over his guns and then got in touch with us later that day. Boss [I assume this means alexthechick’s boss at the law firm] and he were long time friends.

Boss told him to get together every bit of documentation about him being out of town, hotel receipts, meal receipts, any video of him at the gathering he was attending, all of it. Boss also got in touch with the DA and said he was out of state, he couldn’t have done this.

DA said I’m not dropping this but move to dismiss and we’ll hear both motions at the 10 day hearing on the protective order. So we filed the motion to dismiss and motion to consolidate and then Boss went to the hearing. The crazy ex didn’t show up to the hearing at all.

Boss presented everything to the judge. Judge told the DA withdraw the charges or I’m dismissing. The DA said fine, I’ll withdraw. Now, it’s better for the stats on the DAs side to withdraw than to have the case dismissed. Judge also refused to extend the protective order.

Client asked where do I pick up my guns. Judge said you have to go through the paperwork to do that. We’d anticipated that so we had the forms ready and the judge signed the forms. Client said where do I pick them up and judge said this has to be processed, it’ll take three weeks.

Client also asked the DA when the hearing would be for the ex’s perjury charges. The DA said what perjury charges? Client got very upset because it was obviously perjury, he wasn’t even in the state, she provably lied, that’s perjury. DA said no we don’t charge in these cases.

Three weeks go by and client starts calling the sheriff’s office to get his guns back. He keeps getting the run around. Boss had to threaten to go back to court to get an order compelling compliance. When client picked up the guns, his Mossberg shotgun was gone.

The sheriff’s office initially denied that he even had one, luckily he’d kept a copy of the inventory. It took seven months for him to get reimbursement for the Mossberg. The sheriff’s office never did say what happened to it other than there must have been a mix up.

While all of that is going on, client was looking for work. He had two interviews that went well and he was told that he would be offered the job once the background check was done. Both jobs retracted offers after the background check came back.

So we had to get copies of the background checks from the background check services. Sure enough, due to how the database on the state side was maintained, the data scrape pulled the protection order and the charge but the dismissal wasn’t showing up yet.

Client now had to decide if he wanted to disclose to a potential employer that, hey, I have a crazy ex who claims false things about me, here’s a copy of the dismissal paperwork or if he wanted to wait the five weeks it would take for the dismissals to propagate through the dbase.

Also the dismissal paperwork on the criminal charges was marked dismissed due to failure of complaining witness to appear. That said nothing about she lied about this entire thing. Boss had to explain the situation to an employer who, thankfully, listened.

Because they were friends, Boss handled this at a very low rate. It still cost the guy $2,500. If it had been at Boss’s standard rate? Well over $10,000. All for something that was an actual lie. But but but alex! Due process! It worked! Sure. In theory, it did.

The protection order was not renewed. The criminal charges were dropped. He got all but one of his guns back. He got a job, eventually. It all worked. Sure it did. All it cost him was $2,500, months of his life, humiliation during interviews, and immense stress. For a lie.

This guy, mind, had done nothing wrong; he had committed no crime, had never harmed a single soul with his deadly, e-ville ARSENAL!!! of GUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNS!!! He did, however, make one mistake, a really bad one: he married a psychotic, vengeful, conniving bitch, then decided to rectify his error and ditch her batshit-crazy ass formally and legally.

And that—thanks to the megalomania and ghoulish opportunism of American ProPols, Soviet-style “red-flag” laws, and the cowardly anti-gun mania of the typical American “liberal” panic-ninny—was all it took for the ÜberState to get its talons well and truly into him and turn his whole life upside down and inside out.

Now lest we forget, this guy is one of the lucky ones. The story ended more or less happily for him; dude got two of his three guns back and was eventually reimbursed for the Mossberg shotter the cops stole, after lying about it—albeit only partially, it seems safe to assume. But for every gun guy with a grudge-nursing spouse, neighbor, or co-worker who somehow gets to skate away as relatively cleanly as Alexthechick’s lucky client, you can be sure that, as this “red-flag” horseshit continues to gain traction across the FUSA, there will be at least five, perhaps even ten less fortunate but equally innocent souls who, after five or ten years of desperately fighting a losing battle with The Power, ends up bankrupted by lawyer’s fees, fines, and court costs; jobless, maybe even homeless also; and stripped of not just a gun collection he spent years and mucho dinero and trabajo putting together, but a painful chunk of everything else he owns as well.

No one seems to really know for sure, but there are currently betwixt twenty and perhaps as high as forty thousand-plus gun laws on the books in this *cough cough* “free” country—a country in which a solid share of its citizenry is constantly congratulating itself on having done such a bang-up job of understanding, treasuring, and defending its precious Second Amendment rights. INESCAPABLE FACT: One more gun-control law, or a hundred of them, is not going to prevent a single sad-sack whackadoodle bound and determined to engrave his name into the annals of mass-murdering fiends from securing his fifteen minutes of notoriety. Only children and/or the blood-simple could seriously imagine that a real solution might be so easily found.

Are there effective measures that could be taken to make it more difficult, even damned near impossible, for such sickos to consummate their diseased fantasies of score-settling and schoolyard mayhem? Absolutely, yes. But we’re unlikely to avail ourselves of them, because they will necessarily involve a sort of cascading series of long-term projects that will strike a lethargic, by-and-large contented adult population as too extreme, too unpleasant, and in direct contravention of the verymost fundamental American principles. Which, okay, I admit they are at that. But still. For whatever it might be worth, then, we must:

  • Surgically excise the malignancies seeded by the Left like time-bombs throughout American society and institutions, which in turn will require that we
  • Disrupt and erode the Left’s ability to exercise unwholesome or destructive influence on American society and institutions henceforth, no matter what it might take
  • Develop uncompromising, proactive strategies to counter and/or prevent dissemination of political philosophies which advocate replacing our Founding ideals with collectivist, Statist, Marxist/socialist, or totalitarian-Left ideological systems

Doing those things won’t rid us of this nightmarish scourge immediately; nothing can, more’s the pity. But, in concert with a broad resurgence of enthusiasm for Christian piety and restraint, responsible adulthood, traditional family life, maturity, and moderation, as the very middle-class (ie, Whypeepuh) virtues the Left spent decades denigrating as suffocating, stilted, and unnatural gradually come back to preeminence, these school shooters As J Christian Adams so brilliantly opined in his seminal 2018 piece:

The millennial generation might be surprised to learn that theirs is the first without guns in school. Just 30 years ago, high school kids rode the bus with rifles and shot their guns at high school rifle ranges.

After another school shooting, it’s time to ask: what changed?

Thirty years ago, kids who brought their rifles to the high school shooting range didn’t wonder about evil and cultural decay. They simply lived in a time in America when right and wrong were more starkly defined, where expectations about behavior were clear, and wickedness hadn’t been normalized.

The idea that guns caused the carnage we have faced is so intellectually bankrupt that it isn’t worth discussing.

Perfectly true, I couldn’t agree more. So it’s high time we stopped discussing it then, wouldn’tcha say? Gun-grabber SOP after each of these hideous massacres has become so familiar, so by-rote and predictable, it’s now gotten tiresome as well as pointless. We know what they’re really after; they know that we see through them and have NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER of letting them achieve their ultimate goal. The one and only way you’re ever going to get them will be bullets first. Period, full fucking stop, end of fucking story.

At this late date, statistics, comparative analysis, common sense, the historical record, and observable reality have all made it perfectly clear that, here in the United States of America in this, the Year of our Lord 2022, we do NOT have a gun problem. What we have is a Democrat problem, a Leftist problem, a liberal problem. From the calculated rubbling of a once healthy, orderly, and decent society—said rubbling being the fruit of a dimwit nihilism that provided a kind of soul-stunting chrysalis from whence, like so many Death’s-Head moths, the school shooters could crawl into the light of day; to staggering hyperinflation; to a wantonly shattered economy; to unprecedented shortages; to unheard-of prices for the fossil fuels which are the very lifeblood of every First World economy in the name of a risibly phony climate “crisis”; to burdensome, prosperity-throttling overregulation; to a sprawling, meddlesome, Constitution-profaning central government; to rogue, out of control, and unaccountable federal agencies and agents; to in-your-face exhibitions of sexual dementia thrust upon bewildered five year olds in our public schools and libraries; to public school teachers, aides, principals, administrators, and boards of education who misperceive their mission as indoctrination instead of education, seduction rather than instruction, but who even so are such brave, transgressive Warriors for Justice they desperately try to hide the truth of what they’re up to from parents and dishonestly deny the whole thing when caught red-handed, like the slinking cowardly shitlibs they are; to rampant urban lawlessness overseen by a “justice” system so thoroughly corrupt and dysfunctional it can’t even begin to rein in the marauding thugs; to a power grid so decrepit, overstressed, and ill-maintained no knowledgeable person seriously expects it to hold together for very much longer—virtually ALL of our nation’s problems, issues, and failures can rightly be laid on a single doorstep. Which happens to be nailed to the front porch of the House Of Progressivism.

“American” travesty

The Elijah Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in Washington, D.C. is center stage this month to two competing tales of stolen presidential elections.

In the courtroom of U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Cooper, federal prosecutors have presented a detailed account of the greatest scandal in U.S. political history: the conspiracy of the country’s most powerful interests to fabricate the Trump-Russia collusion hoax in order to sabotage Donald Trump before the 2016 election.

Michael Sussmann, a lawyer formerly employed at Perkins Coie, the influential law firm that funded the infamous Steele dossier on behalf of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, is on trial for lying to the FBI. Sussmann is accused of presenting phony data alleged to prove a connection between Trump and a Russian bank to the department just weeks before Election Day 2016.

The sinister collaboration, exposed years ago by reporters and bloggers on the Right but now confirmed by Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation, involved Democratic Party honchos including the candidate herself; top officials at the Department of Justice, who used the dossier as evidence for a warrant to spy on Trump’s campaign; FBI officials and informants; the Central Intelligence Agency; and of course, the national news media.

Russia’s interference in the 2016 election to rig the outcome in favor of Trump was accepted as truth not just by the same interests responsible for the hoax but by tens of millions of Americans. Roughly half the country openly refused to accept the fact that Trump won fair and square. Media-fueled accusations that the new president and Russian President Vladimir Putin “stole” the election prompted the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller in May 2017, a move supported by most Republicans in Washington.

Trump’s first two years in office were severely hobbled by the nonstop collusion drama as Mueller’s team systematically rounded up Trump allies on unrelated charges to produce breaking headlines and speculation that Trump would be the next one in handcuffs. Even after Mueller in 2019 finally admitted his prosecutors found no evidence of election-altering collusion, 84 percent of Democrats still believed Trump had been in cahoots with the Russians. For four years, Democrats proudly displayed #NotMyPresident hashtags on social media platforms.

And to this day, Hillary Clinton insists the 2016 election “was not on the level.”

But that sort of talk has not been designated the “Big Lie” by the news media or criminalized by the Justice Department. Any suggestion that the 2016 election was “rigged” or “stolen” remains safely under the purview of protected speech and in many quarters, is still considered an indisputable fact.

Not so for those who doubt the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. Which is why, just a few floors below Judge Cooper’s courtroom, Timothy Hale is on trial for his participation in the protest at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

While the wheels of justice turn excruciatingly slow for Trump-Russian collusion schemers such as Sussmann, the government has moved at lightning speed to round up dissidents of the Biden regime. More than 800 Americans who protested Biden’s election on January 6 face criminal charges; the Justice Department announces new arrests every week.

Unlike Michael Sussmann, who walked free for five years following the commission of his alleged crime, Tim Hale has been in jail under pre-trial detention orders for more than 16 months.

Yet Hale’s alleged offenses were far less damaging to the country than the crimes Sussmann and his accomplices are accused of committing. On January 6, Hale, an Army reservist, drove to Washington after working the night shift at a New Jersey Naval station to hear President Trump speak. Later that afternoon, Hale walked to Capitol Hill. He entered the Capitol building around 2:14 p.m. through a set of open doors; Hale carried no weapon and didn’t assault anyone. On at least two occasions, Hale is seen interacting with police officers, who did not attempt to arrest either him or those around him.

After 40 minutes, Hale exited the building and drove back to New Jersey in time to start his night shift again. One week later, after his roommate agreed to secretly record a conversation for NCIS, Hale was arrested by at least a dozen armed FBI agents. (His roommate subsequently was paid $4,000 by NCIS for producing the two-hour recording.)

Since then, Biden’s Justice Department has devoted untold human and financial resources to prosecute Hale, who was indicted on four misdemeanors and one obstruction felony. Federal taxpayers have paid to keep Hale, who has no criminal record, incarcerated at a D.C. gulag set aside for Trump supporters. Numerous prosecutors, assistants, law enforcement officers, tech experts, private contractors, and witnesses spent over a year building the case against Hale.

Regardless of the verdicts for Sussmann and Hale, it’s increasingly clear Americans continue to live in two separate and unequal systems of government. One side enjoys a protracted legal process that ultimately results in a slap on the wrist, favorable—or buried—news coverage, and a sympathetic jury pool among other benefits. The opposite side is hunted, incarcerated, and humiliated, left to the nonexistent mercies of a ruling class that views them with palpable contempt.

I don’t really need to tell y’all how things turned out for Sussman, do I?
