If you stand up to them, they will…fold?

Well. Well well well well well well WELL.

Border Patrol Says Agents Will NOT Remove Texas Razor Wire Barriers
In defiance of the Biden Administration’s wishes, senior figures within Customs and Border Protection have stated that there are no plans to have Border Patrol agents remove razor wire barriers erected along sections of the border by the Texas National Guard.

Fox News reports that a high ranking CBP official told the network that their relationship with the Guard is “strong”.

“While this issue plays out in the courts, the relationship between Border Patrol, Texas DPS [Department of Public Safety], & TMD [Texas Military Dept.] remains strong,” the official said, adding “Our focus is and will always be the mission of protecting this country and its people.”

“On the ground, we continue to work alongside these valuable partners in that endeavor,” the official continued, adding “Bottom line: Border Patrol has no plans to remove infrastructure (c-wire) placed by Texas along the border.”

“Our posture remains the same. If we need to access an area for emergency response, we will do so. When that happens, we will coordinate with Texas DPS & TMD,” the official further declared.

The Border Patrol Union also issued a statement outlining that agents will not interfere with Texas National Guard members carrying out “lawful” operations.

“TX NG and rank-and-file BP agents work together and respect each other’s jobs. Period. If TX NG members have LAWFUL orders, then they have to carry out those orders,” the statement notes.

“Rank-and-file BP agents appreciate and respect what TX has been doing to defend their state in the midst of this catastrophe that the Biden Admin has unleashed on America,” the statement continues, adding “We want to be perfectly clear, there is no fight between rank-and-file BP agents and the TX NG, Gov. Abott, or TX DPS.”

“It may make flashy headlines, but it simply isn’t true,” the statement concluded.

The development comes as Texas Governor Greg Abbott told Tucker Carlson the State is “prepared” for conflict with the federal government.

Twenty five States have expressed support for Texas, with ten of them, according to Abbot, deploying their own National Guard to Texas to help.

Commandeering the TNG still looking like a good idea to ya, Slow Jaux? Because in light of this development, it might very well not work out for you exactly as you think it will, at least not in the great Republic of Texas anyway.

MOOOAARRRR Abbott, forsooth!

Time for a fresh post, methinks.

Will the resistance in Texas prevail?
25 states and a significant majority of the American people support the Texas Guard’s efforts to secure the border.

It’s fair to say that Texas has a significant majority of the American people on its side, given the harm the illegal alien epidemic has imposed upon Americans.

But sadly, having the support of the people is not enough today to fend off the Biden Administration’s attempts to keep the floodgates open at the border.

That’s because the D卐M☭CRAT party, with a big assist from their Uniparty co-conspirators in the Vichy GOPe, have long since flung down and danced upon the core principle of self-rule by consent of the governed, culminating in the self-evidently fraudulent 2020 “election.” On to the analysis.

It’s worth considering the following dynamics when trying to forecast how this thing pans out.

Texas strengths:

  • The American people want a strong border
  • Has the support of 25 state governors and counting
  • The Texas Guard being in place is the status quo
  • The illegal alien issue has impacted virtually every American citizen

Texas weakness:

  • Beholden to the whims of a maniacal, unpredictably destructive federal government
  • Has very limited financial and political autonomy
  • Supreme Court decision was a massive blow to Texas
  • Biden can federalize the guard
  • Abbott historically has folded like a lawn chair on major political issues

Biden admin strengths:

  • Supreme Court leverage
  • The very real threat to federalize the Texas National Guard
  • A superior escalatory threat
  • Though they represent a minority viewpoint, the ruling class on Wall St and in Washington, D.C. want an open border

Biden admin weakness:

  • Deliberately opening up the border is terrible optics
  • It’s election season and they are already in a weak position
  • If Texas doesn’t back down, the White House will have to be the “bad guy”
  • The mask will come fully off related to the somewhat clandestine long term policy to import more Democrat voters

There’s also the strong possibility that Texas and the Biden Admin decide to give the other party the optics that they want, and allow for the Texas Guard to remain in place.

In my view at least two, perhaps more, of the listed “Biden weakness” items are of no practical import: 1) “Election” season? Don’t make me laugh, that’s all taken care of; the 24 “election” will be every bit as “fortified” as 2020’s was; 2) Since when has the White House ever evinced the slightest concern over being perceived as the “bad guy”? With the entire Praetorian Media/arts/entertainment/education edifice at their beck and call, why would they? They know full well that the hordes of “liberal” Sheeple will never think of them as anything but their Lords, Saviors, and Benefactors, from whom all blessings flow.

As for the Replacement Theory scheme, that particular mask has been fully ripped off for Real Americans by now, while idiot shitlibs either A) will never openly acknowledge the reality of its existence, or B) are actually in favor of it.

Insty notes an obscure factoid that might greatly bear on the situation before too long.

One small correction: The Texas State Guard (not to be confused with the Texas National Guard) is indeed immune to federal control, but it is not a “state militia.” It is better understood as troops raised with the consent of Congress under Article I section 10 of the Constitution.

Hm, didn’t know that. I have a lot to learn on this increasingly-relevant subject, it would seem.

Update! Good ol’ Kristi Noem.

Governor Kristi Noem joined FOX News to discuss the Texas Governor’s battle with the Biden regime to protect the people of Texas.

The Biden regime on Thursday warned Greg Abbott and Texas lawmakers that they have until Thursday to take down their razor wire and allow their state to be invaded by millions of illegal aliens.

This is the Democrat position.

On Thursday, Kristi Noem told FOX News host Martha MacCallum, “If Greg Abbott needs more razor wire, I’ll load it into a pickup, myself!”

Heh. You go, girl. Give ‘em hell.

I stand with Texas!

Tactical Hermit spells it all out for us, simply and concisely.

As per usual with liberal communist propaganda drivel, note how the article seeks to appeal to the humanitarian/emotional side:

DHS officials said Saturday that a woman and two children drowned in the Rio Grande after Border Patrol agents “were physically barred by Texas officials from entering the area” under orders from Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.

While all the while ignoring the cold hard facts that the Federal Government is helping to subsidize an outright invasion of 7 Million plus ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Let’s not forget that word ILLEGAL.

EVERYTHING that is transpiring on the Southern Border is UNLAWFUL and in Direct Opposition to the both the U.S. and Texas Constitution.

“Because the facts and law side with Texas, the State will continue utilizing its constitutional authority to defend her territory, and I will continue defending those lawful efforts in court,” Paxton wrote.

The sovereign Republic of Texas has a Constitutional Right to Protect it’s Citizens from FOREIGN Invasion when the Federal Govt. is aiding and abetting the enemy.

Eagle Pass may become our Fort Sumter very soon.

Prepare Accordingly.

Please note that the entire DHS story about the three illegal-alien would-be border jumpers who drowned was, as you would expect from the evil Leviathan-state, a damned lie: none of it, not one single aspect of it, really went down the way FederalGovCo says it did.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stuck to the narrative — not the facts — the Biden administration parroted after three migrants drowned last Friday while attempting to cross the Rio Grande.

After the tragedy, the Biden administration rushed to blame Texas for the incident. Homeland Security, for example, accused Texas National Guard soldiers of having “physically barred” Border Patrol agents from responding to migrants in distress. The White House, on the other hand, suggested the migrants could have been saved had Texas soldiers not “blocked U.S. Border Patrol from attempting to provide emergency assistance.”

But the Justice Department admitted in a filing to the Supreme Court on Monday that the migrants — two children and an adult woman — had already drowned when Mexican officials alerted Border Patrol agents of the tragic deaths. In fact, they had been dead for at least one hour.

On Wednesday, Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich confronted Jean-Pierre over the White House’s dishonest narrative. She asked, “Will the administration amend its separate statement that implied that Texas officials were responsible for the deaths of those three migrants when, in fact, they had nothing to do with it?”

“They had already been dead for an hour by the time Mexico told anyone in the U.S. about it, and the administration admitted as much in their court filing,” Heinrich noted. “But the statement from the White House implies that Texas was responsible, and a number of outlets were forced to issue corrections and editor’s notes because of that White House statement.”

The falsehood exposed, Jean-Pierre responded by urging Heinrich to be “sensitive” because of the “devastating situation.” But then she refused to acknowledge the truth after repeatedly stumbling over her thoughts.

Ahhh, the usual fallback of the hack goobermint spokesweasel when caught in a blatant fabrication: “sensitivity.”

The Fox News reporter then read Jean-Pierre the White House statement — which said that “Texas officials blocked U.S. Border Patrol from attempting to provide emergency assistance” — but the press secretary simply restated her earlier point.

“There were other migrants in the water as well,” she said.

“Then why wasn’t that included in the statement?” Heinrich shot back.

Easy-peasy lemon squeezy: because they some lyin’ mothafuckas, yo. If ANYBODY is directly “responsible” for the drownings, apart from the criminal aliens themselves, it would be the senile, staggering stumblebum who threw open the former Border In Name Only and encouraged the flood of illegals to cross it in the first goddamned place…and we all already know who that is, thenksveddymuch.

Two strategies, one issue

And only one of those approaches to handling it is sensible, Constitutionally-permissible, and non-treasonous. First, Texas Governor Abbott’s and AG Paxton’s.

BORDER SHOWDOWN: Texas to Defy Biden Admin’s Order to Give Feds Access to Park Along Rio Grande
EAGLE PASS, Texas — As of Wednesday afternoon, Army National Guard soldiers remain posted at temporary gates erected at the entrance to a city-owned park along the Rio Grande. The park was seized by order of Texas Governor Greg Abbott and closed off to Border Patrol agents unless their entrance into the area is first coordinated with state law enforcement and the Texas Military Department.

The state appears to be standing firm as a Biden administration deadline of “the end of the day” for the state to remove the gates and allow unimpeded access to the Border Patrol approaches. General Counsel Jonathan Meyer, on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security, communicated it to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a letter on January 10.

As reported by Breitbart Texas, the DHS letter to Paxton was sent in response to the seizure of Shelby Park a few days earlier under a Texas statute for law enforcement and disaster relief purposes by Abbott in response to the border crisis impacting his state. The DHS letter to Paxton cited the statutory authority granted to Border Patrol agents to patrol private lands within 25 miles of the border without a warrant. The letter warned the state was impeding the federal agents with the seizure of the property and the conditions placed upon the Border Patrol for entry.

In response to the demands made by the Department of Homeland Security in Counsel Meyer’s demand to grant unimpeded access to the Border Patrol, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton responded in a letter on Wednesday. In his response to DHS, Paxton disputed the arguments made in their cease and desist letter, saying:

Texas allows prompt entry into Shelby Park by any U.S. Border Patrol personnel responding to a medical emergency, and this access is not “limited to use of the boat ramp,” as you say. TMD has ordered its Guardsmen not to impede lifesaving care for aliens who illegally cross the Rio Grande. To that end, TMD has erected gates that allow for rapid admission when federal personnel communicate the existence of some medical exigency.

Paxton went on to say:

President Biden has been warned in a series of letters, one of them hand-delivered to him in El Paso, that his sustained dereliction of duty in securing the border is illegal. By instructing your agency and others to ignore federal immigration laws, he has breached the guarantee, found in Article IV, § 4 of the U.S. Constitution, that the federal government “shall protect each of [the States] against Invasion.”

The battle over control of the park now finds the City of Eagle Pass, who opposes the state seizure of Shelby Park, and the federal government on the same side of the issue. When the Secure Fence Act was passed in 2006, the city battled with the federal government over the construction of the border fencing, which would ultimately leave Shelby Park inside the border fence and walled off from the city.

Then-President George W. Bush signed the 2006 bipartisan fence bill after passage with the support of 80 senators, including then-senate and future presidents Joseph Biden and Barrack Obama. Democrat Senators Chuck Schumer and Hilary Clinton also supported the measure. Ultimately, the city lost its bid to prevent the construction of a 1.8-mile, 14-foot-tall border fence was constructed.

SO. One side in this dispute—let’s call them the Real American Patriots, or RAPs, for short—seeks to re-establish and maintain the basic, fundamental right of the citizens of the great Republic of Texas to a secure, safe, and well-protected southern border. The other—let’s call them Evil America-hating Traitor Scum, or EAhTS—consists of RINO George, Pedo Pete Bribem, Ogabe, Schemer, Her Herness™, the CBP/FederalGovCo, and city officials of Eagle Pass, who seek to subject not only the decent, hard-working citizens of Texas but the entire nation to an unrestricted invasion of hordes of unvetted, unassimilated, disease-rife illegal aliens from all over the (Third) world across a wide-open, unguarded border-in-name-only.

Thankfully, though, we can trust the Republican’ts in Washington to stand up for us against the Swamp traitors of the D卐M☭CRAT Party, right? Right?

RIIIGHT?!?

Um. Yeah, about that.

McConnell Ally John Thune Pushes Senate Open Borders Deal: ‘Unique Moment in Time’
Sen. John Thune (R-SD) has locked arms with President Joe Biden in calling for a deal to surrender to unlimited migration that would include tens of billions in foreign aid to Ukraine.

The retreat would hand the White House a key election year win and surrender the best leverage Republicans have had in decades to make substantive changes in border policies that could alleviate one of the American people’s greatest concerns potentially for generations.

Senate negotiators have led efforts for months to pair some sort of border security package with billions of supplemental funding, primarily to advance Ukraine’s floundering war efforts against Russia. The war has been deadlocked for almost a year, with untold hundreds of billions spent and countless lives lost.

Yet hesitancy for more foreign aid and demands for a truly substantive border package from Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) Republican House led to the search for a compromise on the two issues.

Leaded details of the deal, which essentially amount to a surrender at the border, have received widespread condemnation, with Johnson indicating he will not move that bill through the House.

On Wednesday, Biden is hosting Congressional leaders at the White House to flex his muscles and pressure Johnson to surrender.

Thune’s latest position appears supportive of Biden’s tactics, insisting that the leaked deal is worth supporting.

God bless Mike Johnson for standing firm, so far at at any rate. God damn the loathsome John Thune and all who sail in him straight to Hell for selling Real Americans and their best interests down the river—the Rio Grande, specifically.

Heh. Good one, JJ.

Update! And while we’re making with the memes, a great one from WRSA.

Excellent questions all, especially that last. And to think, the liars STILL try to tell us that Replacement Theory is just some crazy-ass “conspiracy theory” adhered to only by mopes, dopes, losers, lunatics, and wild-eyed “insurrectionist” zealots.

Lots of good ‘uns at CA’s Thursday Early Edition, several of which will be turning up in next week’s Memezapoppin’ and Screamin’ meemie Monday posts, you betcher. In fact, the backlog on Ye Aulde Harde Drive is now so completely out of control I’m considering making tomorrow’s Eyrie offering a meme post too.

FUCK the Feds!

Man, Abbott just keeps on making all the right moves, don’t he?

Abbott Seizes All City Property Along the Riverfront at the Border in the Eagle Pass Area
Texas Governor Greg Abbott used his emergency powers and seized city property along the riverfront at the border in the Eagle Pass area. This includes federal processing locations and equipment.

#BREAKING The state of Texas has seized all city property along the riverfront at the border in the Eagle Pass area under governors emergency powers, including federal processing locations and equipment—This is according to multiple sources.

All access to the property is limited to state authority only. Border Patrol will be permitted to enter the property to remove their equipment and supplies—Agents will not have access to the area unless there is a medical emergency.

I am told that the state plans to start arresting all who cross for criminal trespass—This is not under the new illegal entry law #SB4– They have been arresting for criminal trespass for months.

This is Abbott’s latest attempt to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into Texas. The Texas Department of Safety (DPS) closed and took over a park in Eagle Pass that is on the banks of the Rio Grande River. This didn’t sit well with Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat.

Thursday, Mayor Salinas posted a video on Facebook. He said he received a call from DPS on Wednesday which alerted him to the fact that Governor Abbott signed an emergency declaration. Officers will take full control of Shelby Park indefinitely. The park is 47 acres.

“That is not a decision that we agreed to. This is not something that we wanted. This is not something that we asked for as a city,” Salinas said in the video.

Salinas said he was told that the reason for the operation is to prevent immigrants from illegally crossing the Rio Grande into Texas.

Good on ya once again, Guv. Bill Melugin Tweets the deets.

Matt Gaetz follows up with some explanatory background, featuring Border Patrol swine engaging in some truly despicable, nefarious actions.

Worthless bastards.

The heart, it bleeds

Lileks nails it down clean and tight, as has always been his habit.

People who are in the United States without explicit permission, who are non-citizens, have an extensive set of rights. The people who are paying for them have an extensive set of obligations.

This puts things rather clearly:

Students at a Brooklyn high school were kicked out of the classroom to make room for nearly 2,000 migrants who were evacuated from a controversial tent shelter due to a monster storm closing in on the Big Apple.

The city made the move amid concerns that a massive migrant tent at Floyd Bennett Field would collapse from torrential rains and gusting winds — packing them instead into the second-floor gym at James Madison High School five miles away.

The school’s neighbors were not keen on the last-minute decision.

LOL, as they say, at that last one. As if that’s going to make a difference. You could have a majority – say, 51% – of the locals disagree with this, but going along with their objections would be mob rule, not Our Democracy.

The students will now “attend” “class” “remotely,” which consists of completing an assignment given by the teacher. No actual lectures.

As a thought exercise, imagine another era where A) there wasn’t a constant stream of unvetted people entering the country and being distributed around and given benefits, because it was difficult to enter the country illegally, and those who did so were not facilitated in any way by the government, and B) the idea of suspending school because non-citizens need the building would be met with incomprehension by people of many political opinions. Not the Reds, who would regard any largess given to non-citizens as useful and just, but everyone else.

I’m trying to imagine Ed Koch reacting to the proposal.

The area’s current Congressional Rep’s website has a press-release section on immigration:

Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (NY-09) released the following statement after the Biden Administration announced it would end the Trump-era Title 42 policy.

“As the daughter of immigrants and a lifelong advocate for their fair chance and access to the American dream, the Biden Administration’s decision to lift the harmful, malicious, and discriminatory policy that is Title 42 is a welcome blessing and one that I have long awaited. While this policy endured, countless hopeful migrants suffered under its authority as we circumvented our obligations under international and domestic law.”

That’s the last thing she said about immigration, in 2022. (Title 42 was not ended. Long story not relevant here.)

Since Title 42 was intended, in part, to keep people out during a pandemic, does this mean she believes the United States was morally and legally obligated to admit an undetermined number of people with COVID in 2020, and let them go wherever, and have access to the US health system? I’m thinking, yes.

As for the people who were advocating denial of health care to the unvaccinated, would they also deny health care to immigrants who came into the country and got COVID? I don’t think so, because the former were villains with moral agency, and the latter are victims. It seems like a special moral status attends the “undocumented,” and hence it seems like their priority in the Marshall High School situation is a reflection of their particular set of right – which, being Universal and International, trump the archaic “citizen-based” rights of nation states. Or neighborhoods.

The stories don’t mention whether the Document-Deprived will be required to return to the tents when the storms pass. If that’s the case, you suspect the number who return will not equal the ones that went to the school.

Anyway.

It’s like a lot of things.

Not good.

But there’s just nothing that can be done, is there? I mean, where do you start? It’s a big foggy mystery, all of it.

It’s not like climate, where we know exactly what must be done, and how to do it, and how we need to start doing it yesterday.

As a response to pretty much everything but the Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather)™ hoax, we do at that. Although—James being the reasonable, kind-hearted, peaceable, entirely amicable and conciliatory sort—he wouldn’t be thinking of quite the same things a wild-eyed, tooth-and-claw radical like myself probably would.

As to the bleating of put-upon NYC shitlibs who are finding themselves distressed by the sudden, unlooked-for imposition of the cold, hard realities of life in a Sanctimony City: suck on it, fucktards. You wanted it, you supported it, you voted for it. Now you got it, good and hard, so siddown, shaddup, and deal.

Moar sanctuary cities, stat!

Well, certain specific varieties of ‘em, that is: Gun Sanctuary Cities, Free Speech Sanctuary Cities, Conservative Sanctuary Cities, Wokester-Free Sanctuary Cities, and so on.

Just 1% of Illinois Gun Owners Register ‘Assault Weapons’ Ahead of Ban
Only a tiny fraction of Illinois gun owners registered their AR-15s and similar firearms before the state’s ban officially took effect.

Fewer than 30,000 of the state’s Firearms Owner Identification (FOID) card holders registered firearms recently classified as “assault weapons” by the end of the December 31 registration deadline, according to updated data the Illinois State Police (ISP) released on Tuesday. That means only 1.2 percent of the state’s 2.4 million documented gun owners complied with the state’s terms for allowing continued ownership of AR-15s despite enforcement of the ban beginning on Monday.

The final year-end numbers paint a picture of mass non-compliance with the efforts of Illinois officials to crack down on the supply of AR-15s, the most popular rifle in America, and similar firearms in civilian hands despite facing the threat of criminal penalties. Starting Monday, possession of an unregistered assault weapon became a misdemeanor, while the manufacture and sale of one became a felony. It adds to a recent trend of gun owners being reluctant to go along with similar gun bans and registration requirements in states like New York and California.

Good on ’em, and keep it up, Fightin’ Illini. Elsewhere, how’s that original-recipe Sanctuary City thing working out for you sanctimonious shitlibs?

NOT. TOO. GOOD.

New Jersey deploys cops to send dumped migrants to NYC in desperate move: ‘F–k this’
Migrants in Jersey? Fuhgettaboutit.

New Jersey officials are making sure the Big Apple doesn’t dump the out-of-control migrant mess on the Garden State — and are even deploying cops to usher asylum seekers from the US border onto Manhattan-bound NJ Transit trains as soon as they get off their buses.

The scrap across the Hudson comes as New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy tries to rally the state’s mayors to form a unified front, while New York City Mayor Eric Adams pleads with Murphy to take on at least part of the migrant burden that is burying the five boroughs.

“New Jersey just said, ‘F–k this,’” one source close to the situation told The Post on Wednesday. “New Jersey Transit cops were waiting for them in Secaucus to show them how to get on the train to New York.”

Multiple Garden State sources described the scene as hectic over the last few days, as nearly two dozen migrant buses rolled into train stations with “chaperones” — with NJ Transit cops then taking over and serving as guides to get nearly 1,000 asylum seekers across the river.

The process has been successful so far, with no migrants choosing to stay in Jersey.

Well hey, who would that didn’t just absolutely have to? Abbott lays down the real bottom line here:

Earlier this week, Abbott boasted online that he had sent 95,000 asylum seekers north — including 33,600 to New York since August 2022 — and would continue to do so.

“Sanctuary cities like NYC & Chicago have seen only a FRACTION of what overwhelmed Texas border towns face daily,” he wrote on X. “We will continue our transportation mission until [President] Biden reverses course on his open border policies.”

Exactly, precisely so, right down the line. They’ve always talked a big open-borders game, but it seems those self-righteous “Sanctuary City” denizens really don’t seem to like being forced to put their money where there big fat yaps are, don’t it? In the words of a memorable schoolyard taunt issued back in Junior High by my now-deceased friend Sherry Beatty, tough titty said the kitty, but the milk’s still good. Now, sit back and suck on it, whydon’tcha.

Update! Dang it, I’ve had this one sitting in an open tab all this time just waiting for me to get around to it, and damned near forgot to include it.

Why 2024 Needs to Be the Year of the Energy Sanctuary State
As the world’s climate luminaries hop back on their private jets in Dubai after COP28, Americans should be worried.

Among the ideas being pushed is a global tax on oil and gas, shipping, and financial services. Its supporters are demanding nearly $10 TRILLION dollars to implement the green agenda around the world. With the Biden Administration well represented at the conference, America’s governors need to be thinking about what they can do to protect families from this radical push.

Here’s an idea: 2024 should be the year that “Energy Sanctuary States” are introduced to fight a globalist agenda.

The concept of sanctuary states is used extensively by those on the left, usually around immigration and drugs. However, it can and should be extended to the energy sector.

The new year is an ideal time for states to embrace their energy sovereignty. Such states would be able to contend with burdensome federal regulations by focusing on delivering reliable and affordable energy to their citizens. The left has decided to ignore federal immigration and drug laws. Let’s apply the same treatment to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the rest of Joe Biden’s Green New Army.

Currently, states must sue the Biden Administration for relief, as they did in West Virginia vs. the EPA that resulted with the Supreme Court rolling back the federal government’s ability to regulate carbon dioxide emissions. However, looking for relief through the courts takes time and a lot of money. States would be better off standing up first and suing later. Furthermore, redirecting state resources away from an unwanted climate agenda is a sensible move that benefits both the economy and energy consumers.

An energy sanctuary state should seize the opportunity to bypass onerous federal regulations that often impede progress and hinder affordable energy delivery. The current federal regulatory framework creates significant challenges for states in pursuing viable and efficient energy solutions. By establishing an energy sanctuary state, a state would be able to tailor its regulations in a way that best suits its unique circumstances. This flexibility allows for quicker decision-making, streamlined processes, and the ability to adapt to changing energy demands.

Indeed so—exactly as the Founders intended from the very beginning, ironically enough. We seem to have somehow lost track of the concept over our long, slow downhill slide into the socialist ditch, but the fact is that’s why those great men wrote the Constitution as they did in the first damned place—which fact even a cursory review of said simply-worded, easy-to-comprehend document will make clear as crystal and beyond further debate, without the average reader having to so much as break a sweat over it.

Come to think of it, “ironic” doesn’t begin to meet the case.

Animals

Four legs good, two legs very, very bad.

An Israeli survivor of the horrific Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis on October 7 is speaking out about the barbaric gang rape and murder of a young woman “with the face of an angel.”

Yoni Saadon, 39, a shift manager in a foundry who has four children, was hiding under the stage at the Supernova music festival when Hamas attacked. He said a young woman hiding next to him was shot in the head and fell to the ground next to him.

“I pulled her body over me and smeared her blood on me so it would look as if I was dead too,” he told The Times. “I will never forget her face. Every night I wake to it and apologize to her, saying ‘I’m sorry.’”

After an hour, he looked out. “I saw this beautiful woman with the face of an angel and eight or ten of the fighters beating and raping her,” he recalled. “She was screaming, ‘Stop it — already I’m going to die anyway from what you are doing, just kill me!’ When they finished they were laughing and the last one shot her in the head.”

“I kept thinking it could have been one of my daughters,” he continued. “Or my sister — I had bought her a ticket but last minute she couldn’t come.”

Later, hiding in some bushes, he saw further horrors as two more Hamas terrorists attacked another young woman. “They had caught a young woman near a car and she was fighting back, not allowing them to strip her,” he said. “They threw her to the ground and one of the terrorists took a shovel and beheaded her and her head rolled along the ground. I see that head too.”

Nah, never happened; Hamas flatly denies it, see, so it couldn’t have, it’s unpossible. And their friends, allies, and enablers in The Squad, shitlib media, and the ((((JooJooJooJOOOOO!!!)))) hatin’ Right all enthusiastically endorse the lies, like moldy, stinking peas in the same rotting pod. If any of these “people” were capable of shame, they’d all be hanging their heads from it.

The antidote? Rat cheer.

UFC star Conor McGregor could be trading his boxing gloves for a suit.

The featherweight champion hinted yet again this week that he is planning a run for the presidency in Ireland — a massive career change Elon Musk lauded as “not even fair” to other contenders.

McGregor, 35, who has been outspoken in recent weeks amid violent rioting in Dublin, said Monday he would serve at the whim of the people should he throw his hat in the 2025 election: “It would not be me in power as president, people of Ireland. It would be me and you.”

Tesla founder and Twitter owner Musk quickly showed support for McGregor, stating the longtime politicians wouldn’t stand a chance against the newcomer.

“I think you could take them all single-handed. Not even fair,” Musk replied, alongside a crying laughing emoji.

In a lengthy response to the Space X CEO, McGregor pointed out that the road to the nomination would be a tedious process, but he feels strongly that he’d find success on the other side: “I’d fancy my chances Elon, 100%”

His main goals, McGregor claimed, would be for “transparency” in government.

“Currently there is none. Not an iota. False promises come around the time of election and then it is literally straight ignorance into the face thereafter. It’s disgusting…This is why I’d run, if I was to. To be a voice of the people that deserve to be heard.”

McGregor initially showed interest in Ireland’s highest office last week after a man knifed three children — including a seriously injured 5-year-old — and an adult during riots in Dublin.

He chastised the violence, warning that he would step in to course correct if the current government can’t.

“If they do not act soon with their plan of action to ensure Ireland’s safety, I will,” he said.

I hope like hell he does. Run, Conor, run! Your country never needed you more. As I said, we could use someone like you over on these sad shores right about now.

The difference

All boldface mine, indicative of the real bottom line here, the Big Question that every Western society must soon ask itself—and answer—else surrender to eternal subjugation as another conquered part of the Dar al Pisslam.

The anxiety among Jews is perhaps most pronounced in Great Britain, where 500,000 Jews are outnumbered 10-1 by five million Muslims. Close to half of British Jews now say they are thinking of emigrating, so great has their sense of insecurity become.

What do British people think? Would they be glad to see so many British Jews leave the country, where they have for many centuries been loyal, productive, and creative citizens, driven out by Muslim migrants who have been neither loyal, nor productive, nor creative citizens of the land where they batten on government benefits of every kind, regarded as a kind of proleptic “jizyah,” and openly declare their hope and expectation, through demographic conquest, to turn the U.K. into part of Dar al-Islam, where Islam everywhere dominates, and Muslims rule, everywhere? Is that the future the British feel helpless to prevent, or will they come to their senses in time, and do the following: first, put a stop to any further Muslim immigration; second, deport all migrants who are in the country illegally; third, deport all Muslims convicted of crimes after they have served their sentences; fourth, halt all welfare benefits to migrants during the first five years of their presence in the U.K.?

FIFY with that closing strikethrough, which is most apposite of all. Sefton dots the last “i” and crosses the last “t” for us.

France imported God knows how many million Arabs and Muslims from North Africa and elsewhere and the result was not millions of new French citizens, but the transformation of whole swathes of the country into beachheads of Dark Age barbarism. True, the French government and people did essentially nothing to even try and assimilate these people, but it was a lost cause from the get go. They were invited in and behaved as outsiders and, as per the tenets of Islam, the first wave of Islamic conquerers.

As the article states, 500,000 Jews still live in England but there are upwards of 5 million Muslims. The most popular baby name in England is Mohammed, and that alarming cultural warning sign first happened like five or 10 years ago. Aside from the West adopting the most radical solutions, including the mass stripping of citizenship and deportations, the trend is irreversible. It also presupposes political leadership and a mass movement of the citizenry to adopt measures that go against Western tradition and by recognizing in the first place that Islam is completely incompatible and anathema to the past 2,000 of civilizational development and progress. That too is a non-starter.

The other huge and bitter irony is that places like Germany opened their borders to mass migrants because of guilt over what they did to the Jews between 1933 and 1945. Yet look who they let in to assuage their guilt over the Holocaust: dark age throwbacks mostly from Turkey and elsewhere in the Muslim world. Perfect.

So that leaves it up to the citizenry to take matters into their own hands as they had done in Ireland in the wake of last week’s stabbing spree in Dublin. Problem is that Western governments in the main are firmly against their own people.

And as we all know, with a wide open non-existent border and joke of an immigration system over here, what’s happening in Europe will be and in fact is happening here. We are being transformed into Yugoslavia right before our very eyes.

Yugoslavia? We should be so lucky, JJ. Yemen or Ethiopia, more like.

The West’s number-one import

“SHOCKING”?!? Hardly.

SHOCKING: How Many European Women Will Be Raped Before Their Leaders Do Something About Those ‘Refugees?’
The globalists’ plan to take over the West by importing the third world has been both wildly successful and shockingly brutal, especially to European women.

As the globalists gavaged “asylum seekers” from toilet countries into Germany, France, Sweden, Ireland, England, and elsewhere, they were also sure to threaten the mostly white citizenry that complaining about the rape crisis would make them “racist.”

From an OAN interview with PJ Media’s own Robert Spencer, one of the world’s preeminent Islam scholars:

The Quran says you can take infidel women and make them what are called ‘captives of the right hand’ and it’s very clear in the Quran that these are essentially sex slaves who are non-Muslim women captured, who are captured and used in this way. This is allowed in the Islamic holy book and not only that but many of the people who are participating in the Muslim rape gangs actually said this to their victims and explained it in terms of the Quran. And many — one of them even said, raping you can [be] my prayer to Allah. Because obviously, if Allah allows this, then in a certain sense it’s a holy act, as twisted as it sounds to non-Muslim sensibilities.

So Muslim men poured into Christian nations, believing raping women is a “holy act,” and if the women complain they are considered bigots. What could go wrong?

Oh, just the obvious, that’s all—thereby confirming once again that when a developed, 1st-world nation imports hordes of unassimilable 3rd-world savages, it quickly becomes a 3rd-world nation its own self. Whodathunkit?

Not sure the link above will work, it’s a PJM VIP piece I ran through the 12ft Ladder paywall-buster. Worked fine for me, but YMMV.

Of Remembrance and forgetfulness

As Steyn notes, it’s a sad distinction.

The “Free World” the Leader purports to lead is increasingly like that, don’t you find? Stumbling around, unsure what it’s doing or why it’s here. In the years immediately after the Great War, “remembrance” was easy – because they were your sons, husbands, fathers, fiancés, and they’re not around. Then the decades roll by, and for newer generations, even though you never met those you’re “remembering”, they’re still your great-uncles or great-grandfathers, and thus part of the bond that connects you to your country and its inheritance.

And then a few more decades drift on and now we’re all multicultural, and diversity is our strength, and a nation is no more or less than whoever happens to be standing around in it, like Gate 87 at Heathrow or LAX. And the bond is non-existent – because the Glorious Dead are not your kith and kin – and, even if they were, you’ve been taught since kindergarten that they were irredeemably racist and colonialist.

Yet it is surely significant, after a month in which stooped, aged Royal British Legion poppy-sellers have been bullied and shoved away from their traditional street corners and railway stations, that this hideous, treacherous constabulary could not bring itself to show any kind of solidarity with the old soldiers.

And even the Met’s official evenhandedness – of trying to ensure that both the Royal British Legion and Hamas get to share the public space – is taking a side, is it not? Because it enables Islam to achieve its aim – of appropriating one of the most solemn days in the national calendar for its own purposes. Islamic supremacism does nothing by accident: the end of the Great War was also the end of the Caliphate and the dawn of a fractured Middle East under the French and the British, who promptly put a Jew in charge of their “Palestine” mandate.

Whether hijacking Armistice Day should be legal or illegal, it would not, in a healthy polity, be considered seemly. That’s why I always quote the otherwise wholly forgotten Lord Moulton, Director-General of the Explosives Department during the First World War, and his observation that the health of a society is determined not by what is permitted or prevented by law but by what is self-regulated by the citizenry in “the realm of manners”. In the realm of manners, the citizenry don’t need a law forbidding competing groups from swamping and desecrating Armistice Day because you couldn’t find enough people willing to do anything so obviously inappropriate. But multiculti diversity rots out the realm of manners – because the population no longer has enough in common to sustain social cohesion and so you need an ever bigger and more powerful state to mediate the competing interests of different identity groups.

And, of course, these groups are not static. Some are in decline, some are in the ascendant. What happened this weekend is not so very difficult to figure out. As some “niche Canadian” wrote almost two decades ago, the future belongs to those who show up. Well, on the streets of London, the future showed up.

It did at that, among all too many other places. Quelle surprise, that it turned out to look even bleaker, darker, and more dismal than even the worst pessimist among us feared it might.

Will, or the lack thereof

Pursuant to today’s Eyrie outing, TL has a few thoughts.

It occurs to me that there is a lot easier way to deal with illegal immigration than we have tried so far. Trump implemented something like this with his “Remain in Mexico” policy. Granted, the reason the US has been unsuccessful in stopping illegal immigration comes not from a lack of ability or understanding of how to build a wall, but from the lack of desire. The regime in power wants to dilute the strident patriotism of the average American. After several generations of working away at the elementary school level to erode love of country with propaganda, the communists have thrown in the towel and went for straight importation of foreign nationals to accelerate the timeline to 2024.

For those few who still seek to end illegal immigration, one way of achieving that is to bill the nation of origin for the accommodation of their illegals in the United States. One proposal is to charge a hosting fee. For every 10,000 citizens of another nation that has slithered their way into the US, $5 billion per year would be billed to the home country.

I understand the temptation to jump on this proposal immediately for all of the obvious flaws, but taking those into account one has to understand the dynamics of the proposal.

Of course, they would refuse to pay it. That goes without saying, but that’s part of it. What happens when they don’t pay? The bill keeps doubling every year. As the famous quip goes: “A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.”

The liable nations would claim that it’s the job of the United States to prevent people from getting into their nation illegally and that’s true, but the organized caravans in those other nations were intended to, and did, overwhelm the US efforts to patrol their border. These are not ones and twos, perhaps a family here and there.

The NGOs operating the bases and organizing the caravans do so with the blessing of those nations, in conjunction with cartels. They, too, should shoulder some of the burden and pay part of that $5 billion. It’s up to the host nation to extract it from them.

Personally, I’d start fining the NGOs $1 million per week until they ceased.

I like it. I like it a lot.

But what accounting is done? How would someone know where the people came from in order to bill the appropriate nation? Simple, whatever passport they have, that’s who gets billed. What if they have no passport, it got lost, or damaged? We’ll take their word for it. If they say they are Mexican, for example, we’ll accept that. That’s the border they crossed, wasn’t it? That would be the natural assumption and we wouldn’t want to be racist. Just because they look Somalian, that doesn’t mean we should leap to the conclusion that they aren’t Mexican.

When it comes to asylum-seekers it’s even easier. The nation of origin is documented, it has to be to do the paperwork. Also, the nation of origin made conditions such that these people felt the need to leave. Now, if we were Obfuscatistan, we might not be able to impose such a hosting fee on these nations, but we’re not, we’re the United States. We have diplomatic pressure, economic pressure, trade pressure, foreign aid to be withheld to pay the debts. We have all sorts of ways to enforce it.

What we do not have, is the will. The whole idea of freedom of speech is to force the government to have the will. Ultimately, that’s what the United States Constitution is all about. Through several different means, especially the Bill of Rights, we were given the ability to force government to do the people’s will. All of the machinations of government over the past several decades has been designed to eliminate that from the system. That’s no reason to give up. You have to fight to keep your voice. You shouldn’t have to, but you do.

True, dat. Read the rest of it; there’s a plethora of excellent ideas to mull over here, and I couldn’t agree more with every word—which is almost always the case with TL, at least for me.

It occurs to me that what surely underpins the ennui and lack of will he’s talking about is something we might dub Everyman’s Despair: the deep, abiding sense of hopelessness; the strong suspicion that no matter what Joe Lunchpail might do or say, he will never climb out from under the crushing weight of his own oppression. FederalGovCo is just too big; agencies like the FBI, the CIA, the DEA/ATF, the IRS, et al are just too tenaciously entrenched and empowered to dare oppose, lest the Swamp do to him what they’re even now doing to those poor J6 “insurrectionists.”

Is Joe wrong in that enervating assumption? I only wish I could say he was; at present, alas, I cannot. He’s roundly mocked and derided for being complacent, apathetic, or even cowardly, but if he seeks refuge in his weekend grill-out, watching the Big Game on TeeWee over a case of cheap suds, and tries as hard as he can to ignore politics altogether—to just keep his head down, his ass covered, and his mouth shut—is it really fair to blame him for it?

When your government has openly declared itself your enemy you’re in a really bad fix, no mistake about it.

One-way colonization

And guess what: it ain’t the West doing the colonizing anymore.

Part of the reason for these failures to win the clash of civilizations is that population movement only occurs in one direction. For all the bleating about “colonizers” from the radical Left, it’s the Western world that has been colonized, as is painfully evident in Europe.

Culture spreads through believers. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Western thinkers got this idea that culture was spreading through commerce. They thought the Berlin Wall was pulverized by blue jeans and rock & roll.

There is some cultural transmission through commerce and communications, to be sure. Books, films, and music definitely spread ideas. The problem is that authoritarian regimes can contain that type of ideological contamination with censorship and violence.

A far more durable method of spreading cultural ideas, tried and true across the span of centuries, is to simply move warm bodies across borders. This is especially true when vulnerable Western societies do not require, or even encourage, assimilation.

Our culture has essentially been rigged to self-destruct at the slightest contact with aggressive alien ideas. Academia has taught generations that our society is fundamentally corrupt, systemically racist, sick with evil since its very inception.

No culture wracked by that much manufactured guilt and cultivated self-doubt is going to propagate itself, especially not within authoritarian societies with heavy strains of nationalism, theology, and religious extremism.

This is especially true because there has been no significant movement of Westerners into Islamic nations since 9/11. No warm bodies crossing borders and bearing ideas. The Western presence in places like Iraq and Afghanistan is treated like a disease to be quarantined.

The big population movements were all in the other direction, and they happened with astounding speed, driven by open-borders ideologues and well-financed organizations devoted to increasing Westward migration.

Could you imagine what migration in the other direction would even LOOK like? Millions of Americans or Europeans settling in other countries, demonstrating in their streets, exerting a gravitational pull on their politics? They’d be excoriated as “colonizers” if they tried it.

Could you imagine any autocratic or theocratic nation simply ceding portions of its cities to American or European immigrants, shrugging and writing them off as “no-go zones” for the locals, allowing mosques to be converted into churches, tolerating huge pro-America protests?

Two decades ago, our media wouldn’t allow us to see Palestinians dancing in the streets and passing out candy to celebrate 9/11 because we supposedly couldn’t handle it. Our elite lacked confidence in the people it rules, and it’s only gotten worse since then.

We were deliberately made wide-open for conquest, and invaders have marched in – both physically and with toxic ideology. Our elites utterly failed to liberalize the world, so now they just offer terms of surrender to tyrannical aggression, and they don’t negotiate hard.

Myself, I’d be perfectly content not to go out a-colonizing the troglodytic, smelly sonsabitches, if they’d only agree to just leave us the hell alone and stick to slaughtering each other in their own barely-habitable, primordial, sewer-state shitrapies in return. Regrettably, the barbarians of the Moslem world are no more capable of leaving others alone to live as they wish than our domestic Leftard antagonists are.

In both cases, conquest, oppression, and brutal subjugation aren’t some unfortunate side effect of an otherwise noble and benignant creed, they’re the whole fucking point of an irredeemably evil one. This is a primary locus of confluence between the brattish, self-absorbed Men Without Chests currently dismantling their own laboriously-constructed, uniquely-successful civilization and their momentary allies of convenience, the savage jihadi hardasses who are only too happy to take full advantage of the unlooked-for assist.

This inherently unstable relationship has created a strange, pragmatic truce between two irreconcilable modes of personal conduct: hedonistic abandon to the pursuit of worldly pleasure versus a dour, ascetic self-abnegation pushed to extremes of fanatacism and mad zealotry. For however much longer such an arrangement can last, at any rate.
