Dr Karlyn Borysenko is one of the foremost experts when it comes to Critical Race Theory, and she took to Twitter today to call out Conservatives like Matt Walsh and The Daily Wire for caring more about trolling AOC than actually fixing a serious problem like Critical Race Theory in schools.

Here’s her Twitter thread calling out Walsh and The Daily Wire for their stunt:

You know, the whole Matt Walsh thing is just so indicative of what conservatives want.

They want people who will make their most hated politicians look foolish, even if they change no minds or convince anyone of anything.

That’s it. That’s all they care about.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of conservatives influencers being offered a chance to actually DO something…and they refuse.
You guys are DMing me names right now…”Karlyn have you reached out to this person or that person, they’ll help”….and every single one of the names is a grifter that knows full well about the case and won’t do anything.

They know that all their followers care about is them whispering the same sweet nothing talking points in their ear, and being outraged by the right subjects and screaming about AOC being a liar….that’s all their followers want.

They show this with their actions.

If you don’t want to support people who are actually solving problems, then don’t be surprised when you have the same ones year after year after year.

But you’ll hear Matt Walsh complaining about them on his show, so I guess it’s ok.

BTW, AOC is going to win year after year after year. She’ll win as long as she wants to.

And Matt Walsh will love it because that will give him years of complaining and pranks where he doesn’t change a single person’s mind or accomplish anything of substance.

She then followed up with the damning indictment against Conservatives:

“I’m actually starting to become completely convinced that conservatives WANT critical race theory in schools because it will give them an excuse to complain about socialism all the time.”

This is a serious problem within the Conservative Movement. What gets you clicks and video views is to “destroy the libs.” That’s what has made Charlie Kirk and Ben Shapiro famous. However, just as my good friend Dr Bobby Lopez has repeatedly stated, these trollers of the Left aren’t actually fixing any problems. They are just building up their brands.

Well hey, no reason we can’t do both, right? Troll the libtards; deride them, laugh at them, bait them; humiliate and/or annoy them; all while we go on jousting with them over specific, ground-level issues as well?

Meh. At this point, it’s all just dicking around while we wait for the shooting to start. “Fighting” against CRT, lawsuits, protests and rallies, and all the rest only amount to busywork as far as I’m concerned—something to occupy us before it all goes pear-shaped. The author closes thusly:

So instead of dropping $499 to troll AOC, why not put your money where your mouth is and support a cause that can actually create a positive change in our society. Everyone is talking a great game when it comes to CRT, but where’s the follow through?

“Positive change in our society” won’t be created until some indeterminate number of pAntiFas, Black Lies Murder goons, and other traitorous miscreants both high and low have assumed room temperature due to their CLDS (Chronic Lead Deficiency Syndrome) being corrected. Nothing else is going to be sufficient, sad as it is to have to say. It’s the only “follow through” that matters. Until such time, it’s all just entertainment, nothing more.

Update! Okay, so after a complaint from MrHead about being unable to embed a YouTube vid in a comment, I did some moderate sleuthing and found a couple other 3P plugins that claim to provide that functionality. One I failed to get working, the other…works! Better yet, it seems that our second candidate is a lot less fussy about which code it will allow you to use for the embed; you can either:

  • Do as I do to embed ’em on the main page, ie, hit the “Share” button, then the “Embed” link, and C&P that code, OR
  • Simply C&P the YouTube link to the page the vid is on from your browser’s (Brave, I hope and insist) URL bar

Both methods seem to do the trick equally well, so with that I think we might be all set here. Note: there are oodles of other file formats you can embed: jpg, gif, png, pdf, mp3, mp4, m4v, and plenty more besides. Enjoy, y’all.

Updated update! Okay, here’s a little random strangeness. After posting several comments myself, I noticed that the User level by my name shows up as Author instead of Admin, which…well, I don’t actually know what might be going on there, honestly. Also, the toolbar at the very bottom which allows for editing, deleting, and suchlike isn’t showing up at all. Within the actual comment box itself, there’s the usual HTML-tag options—B, I, U, and so on—but that’s it. Doesn’t matter all that much, and I can’t think of any reason you guys should care, but weird nonetheless.

“Doctor” Fauci, who has never actually treated a single patient, is the Peter Principle personified. He’s bungled and blundered his way through every public-health scare since the AIDS “crisis” in the 80s, with the manufactured Coof cattle drive putting the cherry on the sundae. He also happens to be the highest-paid fox in the federal henhouse.

The nation’s leading infectious disease expert made $417,608 in 2019 and is projected to net approximately $2.5 million in salary from 2019 to 2024, according to Freedom of Information Act requests obtained by Forbes. Fauci, whose salary is funded by taxpayers, received a pay bump in 2014 when his paycheck increased from $335,000 to the current $417,608. Fauci raked in $3.6 million from 2010 to 2019.

The United States’s 4 million federal employees are usually subject to a pay cap, dubbed level IV, which is $172,500. However, Fauci and other doctors and scientists employed by the government are exempted from the cap to make their salaries more competitive to the private sector.

Fauci, who has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1980, outearned former President Donald Trump ($400,000), former Vice President Mike Pence ($235,100), Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts ($270,700), and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi ($223,500). Three other doctors, all from the Health and Human Services Department, earned more in federal salary than the president but fell short of Fauci’s pay.

Looking back on it, if you had to pick just one as the most damaging of Trump’s failures, not firing Herr Fauci would have to be it. It’s the mistake that doomed him, in fact.

This week much has been made of the thousands of emails to and from Dr. Anthony Fauci. These were obtained as a result of Freedom of Information Act requests. In my view, it’s not only that the emails prove what we all knew — Dr. Fauci is a phony — it’s the enormous national security failure and coverup that should concern us.

There’s a caveat from Dr. Jeffrey Satinover on the emails:

  1. Almost ALL of the emails are from others to Fauci with his reply. There are very few, if any (I will have to review) initiated by him. It is very unlikely this represents his full correspondence using his official NIH address.
  2. The rough per-day number of emails in Jan and Feb, then May, greatly exceeds March and April.
  3. A very large proportion of text with what looks to me likely to be scientific detail, in others’ comments to Fauci, has been blocked.
  4.  

  5. The largest proportion consists of requests to Fauci to speak either at scientific conferences or on major media television programs. Strikingly:
    (a) Fauci refuses almost every invite in a medical or scientific setting
    (b) Fauci accepts almost every invite to go on TV
  6. The most striking feature by far, so far, is this: Fauci’s responses are utterly devoid of either scientific curiosity or depth. He shows no evidence in these pages at least, of anything but the most superficial familiarity with viral illnesses. Whenever someone proposes a helpful idea, he hands it off to a deputy to respond. He is temperate to the point of vacuity.

His public statements about the danger often contradicted his private statements; he downplayed the efficacy of a vaccine, and then when there was a dramatic decrease in infections after widespread vaccinations, he emphasized we must all stay vigilant.

I don’t see how anyone could have paid attention to his public statements, rapid contradictions, unseemly mugging at pressers with then-President Trump, not to have seen this man for what he was — shallow, over his head, and extremely political.

His alarmism, downplaying of the likelihood and efficacy of a vaccine and of remedial therapies like HCQ and Ivermectin, which proved very effective, cost him any credibility in my eyes long ago. Not to speak of his weird decision that social distancing was not required in such things as sexual hookups you arrange online with strangers or anti-Trump political rallies. Before the emails were public, we saw him falsely deny his role in funding gain of function research in Wuhan. If after all this, you thought he was “following the science” or a credible arbiter of public health measures, you were foolish.

Anyone with functioning brain cells has lost faith in our public health apparat.

Anyone with even a glancing familiarity with Big Government never had much of it to lose in the first damned place.

NIGERIA BANS TWITTER AFTER IT DELETES PRESIDENT’S TWEET

I haven’t gotten past the title and by god, I already love it.

Two days after Twitter removed a tweet from Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Government announced it indefinitely banned the social media platform and its services from operating in the country.

Twitter removed Buhari’s tweet on Wednesday threatening to punish regional secessionists blamed for attacks on government buildings, Reuters reports.

Nigeria’s Information Minister Lai Mohammed said Friday the government acted to suspend the networking service because of “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.”

Mohammed compared Twitter’s actions in Nigeria to those the company took after the riot at the U.S. Capitol in January, including banning the account of former President Donald J. Trump, he said during a news conference after the tweet was removed.

“When people were burning police stations and killing policemen in Nigeria during EndSARS, for Twitter it was about the right to protest,” he said. “But when a similar thing happened on the Capitol, it became insurrection.”

Yup. Funny, that. Casa Dorsey, of course, puked up the usual transparently self-serving response, indignantly Twatting “We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society.” Uh huh. Except when it isn’t, right, Jackie-boy? It was once considered by many that Africa was the epitome of official corruption, even moreso than the Mexico/SA connection, or the FSU, in large part because it was so cheap by western standards to buy official services under the table.

It was also useful that most African nations were despotisms of one sort or another, which meant that you could buy real power in such countries.

Now that the United States has decided to show the rest of the world how corruption should be done, and therefore surged to the global forefront in such endeavors, we may see some African nations leading the way in effectively using the power of the state against the Technocrats of the world.

DOG BITES MAN!

Another of those “shocking but not surprising” stories.

A person believed to be among the highest-ranking defectors ever to the United States from the People’s Republic of China has been working with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) for months, sources inside the intelligence community have told RedState on condition of anonymity. The defector has direct knowledge of special weapons programs in China, including bioweapons programs, those sources say.

The information provided to RedState corroborates and clarifies Thursday evening’s reporting by journalist Adam Housley.

RedState’s sources say that’s partially true. FBI Director Christopher Wray was “ambushed” with the information, they say, and Langley was also unaware. Sources say DIA leadership kept the defector within their Clandestine Services network to prevent Langley and the State Department from accessing the person, whose existence was kept from other agencies because DIA leadership believes there are Chinese spies or sources inside the FBI, CIA, and several other federal agencies.

UPDATE 12:30 PM PDT, June 4, 2021

Sources tell RedState the defector has been with the DIA for three months and that he has provided an extensive, technically detailed debrief to US officials. In DIA’s assessment, the information provided by the defector is legitimate. Sources say the level of confidence in the defector’s information is what has led to a sudden crisis of confidence in Dr. Anthony Fauci, adding that U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) personnel detailed to DIA have corroborated very technical details of information provided by the defector.

Are our federal intelligence agencies compromised?
A lot of people have been wondering why, suddenly, the leftist establishment is embracing the idea that COVID came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (which is tied to the Chinese military) after denying the possibility for so long. The answer may lie in the fact that the Defense Intelligence Agency has for months been debriefing a high-level Chinese Communist Party defector — but withheld the information from other agencies until recently because of fears that those agencies are compromised. In other words, it’s a twofer: China did create and release the virus, and our federal government cannot be trusted.

Fair enough, although I see no reason, as in so many other contexsts, not to embrace the healing power of “and” here myself.

Surprising precisely no one, Toothy McBigTits is playing pretty fast and loose with the truth when she blames Trump for “blocking” aid money for the Porto Reecan kleptocracy.

Two officials with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) acknowledged during a hearing this week that the agency knowingly stalled sending hurricane relief funding to Puerto Rico after missing a legally required deadline to do so.

HUD’s chief financial officer, Irv Dennis, and David Woll, the department’s principal deputy assistant secretary for community planning and development, appeared before a House Appropriations subcommittee for a hearing on Thursday.

The officials said that the agency missed a deadline issued by Congress to start a process to help Puerto Rico receive billions in federal housing funds that Congress had allocated after Hurricane Maria hit the island in 2017.

“All of us at HUD stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Puerto Rico,” Woll said during the hearing. “At HUD we are committed to the recovery of all Americans whose homes and communities were devastated by natural disasters, and we are steadfast in our stewardship of the funding and trust in us by you in your colleagues in Congress.”

However, the officials’ defense did little to placate Democrats.

Progressives point out problems, and conservatives solve them. Two days ago, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted about visiting her grandmother in Puerto Rico. She tweeted out pictures of a sparsely furnished home with buckets on the floor and portions of the roof falling into the living space.

Ocasio-Cortez blames the state of her abuela’s home on Hurricane Maria and President Trump withholding aid. The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh points out the obvious:

Follows, a pithy Tweet from Walsh saying: “Shameful that you live in luxury while allowing your own grandmother to suffer in these squalid conditions.” But Matt wasn’t done yet, not by a long yard.


Of course, his Daily Wire colleagues stepped up and then challenged other members of their network to do the same…

Dave Rubin and Dan Bongino jumped in. Elon Musk and Adam Carolla don’t seem to have tweeted today. Ben Shapiro challenged Glenn Beck, Clay Travis, and Steven Crowder to join and promote the fundraiser. Other Daily Wire staff got involved, including Candace Owens and Emily Zanotti. At least 3,200 people have donated as of this writing, and the fundraiser is well over the original goal of $48,990.

Matt’s ¡SAVE MI ABUELA! fundraiser rapidly raised more than a hundred grand from generous, big-hearted Rightwing Nazi Hitlerbeasts before GoFundMe called a halt.

GoFundMe has disabled donations to a fundraiser organized by The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh meant to help Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) grandmother repair her home in Puerto Rico, which was damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017.

In an email sent to Walsh Friday night, GoFundMe said they were “in touch with the beneficiary’s family and they made clear they will not be accepting the funds raised.”

“When a beneficiary doesn’t want to accept the funds that have been raised on their behalf, it is standard practice to turn off donations, then refund all donors,” GoFundMe added.

The message from GoFundMe appears to suggest that it may not have been Ocasio-Cortez’s grandmother who directly refused the funds, but someone else in the family.

More than 5,800 people pledged to help Ocasio-Cortez’s grandmother, raising just over $100,000 in 10 hours before the fundraiser was shut down. All this in response to the congresswoman suggesting that rather than taking direct action to help her grandmother, the most important role she played in the situation was to decry “systematic injustice.”

Walsh wraps the whole sad, sorry affair up.

“Tragically this charitable effort has been sabotaged by forces outside of our control. Still I’m grateful for the outpouring of support for abuela, even if AOC isn’t. But questions remain: Why didn’t AOC help her own abuela? Why was our help turned down? We are left to speculate,” Walsh added. “In the end, our campaign raised 100 thousand dollars and could have solved a problem in ten hours that AOC couldn’t solve in four years. We can all be proud of that. As for abuela, all we can do now is pray.”

Myself, I’m still praying that AOC will soon realize that her proper place is on the pole, bobbling those fun-bags for an enraptured audience while keeping her yap firmly shut.

Is there NOTHING they won’t politicize and/or sexualize?

Child advocates are speaking out against what they say is a “predatory” and disturbing new video released by the Nickelodeon kid’s program “Blue’s Clues & You!” that takes place at a Pride parade and includes many forms of sexuality and gender expression.

The parade is emceed by an animated version of drag performer Nina West, a beloved “RuPaul’s Drag Race” contestant from season 11. The video features a sing-along in which West’s animated character is shown singing to the melody of “The Ants Go Marching.” The lyrics were changed to fit the LGBTQ theme.

The video was released online days before LGBT Pride Month begins in June.

Full of waving rainbow and other striped flags and banners, the video features many LGBT themes, including families with two moms, two dads, trans-identified members, “ace, bi and pan” parents.

“Love is love is love you see, and everyone should love proudly,” West sings.

“Allies to the queer community can love their friends so proudly,” West adds.

The display also featured a group of beaver characters. One of the beavers wore a transgender pink-and-blue-striped armband and what online commenters say appears to be scars on its chest, presumably because of a cosmetic double mastectomy.

Critics of the video noted how flagrantly gender confusion and sexualized themes were targeted at young children.

Although it’s only the latest installment in an ever-lengthier saga, this one deeply saddens me. See, back when the young ‘un was but a wee tot, Nick Jr and PBS Kids were staples at our house, and Blue’s Clues was one of her verymost favorites. Rightly so, in my estimation, because I thought it was pretty good myself. Blue’s Clues was on a depressingly short list of kids’ shows that I could sit through without grinding my teeth down to stumps; it was clever, entertaining, and had none of the hamfisted PC politicking of, say, Dorah The Explorah, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, or the godawful Sid The Science Kid (shudder).

I always ranked Blue’s Clues just slightly behind real standouts like Clifford The Big Red Dog, Wild Kratts, Curious George (theme song by the one and only Dr John, by the way), and the all-time Numero Uno: Dinosaur Train. Apart from being just a really excellent show—for God’s sake, it’s DINOSAURS, man!!—DT got a strong boost in my ratings from its theme song, a seriously jumpin’ little rockabilly number:



I like that so much the Playboys actually performed it onstage a few times at my urging, thoroughly mystifying my bandmates and probably heightening concerns among the guys as to my mental health. In my own defense, though, they’d never seen the show.

Too cool for school

Okay, so I guess THIS is now a thing.


Very cool indeed, and I salute this guy for seeing to it that the jump came off so nicely, with fewer broken bones than if Evel himself had done it. But as you’ve probably guessed already, I have a small quibble, from a high-oblique direction, regarding a gripe I’ve been nursing since my folks got me an Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle of my very own.

See, here’s the thing: Evel, incredible as it seems, actually did all those crazy jumps on a Sportster. Even more remarkably, it was a damned Ironhead Sporty, known to every biker near and far as one of the sorriest, most aggravating pigs ever to (only barely, only sometimes) motorvate around on two wheels. Ironheads were slow, heavy, incredibly unreliable, and handled about like the misbegotten tanks they truly were. I mean it, man: Ironheads were shite.

My very first Harley was an Ironhead, and I loved that thing all to pieces. Don’t ask me why.

Whatever his reasons, Ironheads were what Evel used back in the day. And any kid who had one of the Stunt Cycle toys back then—as well as a little knowledge of motorcycles—could readily confirm that the Stunt Cycles, neat and fun as they inarguably were, were not no way no how a Sportster of any kind. Here, have a look-see:

Notice anything? Because I knew right away when I got mine that the Stunt Cycle looked suspiciously like a *gulp!* Jap bike. No, really. I was gobsmacked by it at the time, and I still am.

Who knows how such a thing might’ve happened, but I imagine the Motor Company was some pissed about the slight, you betcher. I did a little poking around and found that, for the first cpl-three years of the toy, the manufacturer DID make an effort to replicate the hairy-legged XRs that Evel repeatedly busted himself up falling off of. But then, for whatever reason, the toy shifted into full-on Riceburner mode. Which, to my horror and dismay, is the one I had when I was but a wee lad.

Ahh, who the hell knows, maybe there was some kind of trademark hassle or something. Those were the dark days when AMF (stands for Annoying Manufacturing Flaw) was running Harley D into the ground, so it’s really anybody’s guess as to why the switcheroo was made. Myself, I’m just thankful to finally get that off my chest after having borne the burden in silence for so very, very long.

The bitterest Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, retired USMC LTC Max Morton memorializes the lost Republic, and the warriors our new oligarchy has betrayed.

When I talk about members of the military who I served with, I purposely use the term warrior. Despite the social deconstruction du jour, the purpose of the military is to conduct war. Clausewitz famously stated, “war is the continuation of politics by other means,” and that other means is fighting and killing the enemy. If you think sending your military to war to do anything other than kill your enemy is acceptable, realistic, or moral, you are a dangerous fool who has no understanding or regard for the myriad disturbing consequences of half-assed armed conflict. So nouveau U.S. Army commercials and Navy wokeism comedy aside, the purpose of the military is to kill the enemy, and the people who do that killing are warriors.

Like many in flyover country, I come from a family with a tradition of military service, some of us were the proverbial lifers and others single-hitch patriots, so the concept of service and sacrifice is ingrained into our psyche. For our family, having to give your life in service to your country was always a possibility. Within that context, Memorial Day, for me, has been not just a remembrance but an acknowledgement of the outcome associated with that risk…that is until this year.

When I look at America, the way it is today, I wonder if any of the killing and dying was worth it. America today is run by someone, we’re not really sure who, and every part of its culture and history is being deconstructed.

The Constitution is not even a speed bump to a new class of oligarchs and tyrants who are in the process of “reimagining” America as a giant Eveready battery to power their globalist business interests. Clearly half the country no longer believes in ideals like individual liberty, freedom, free speech, live-and-let-live, the Golden Rule, or tolerance.

What happened? If I could go back in time and talk to my dead friends and comrades who fell in service to America, what would they say? Would they still have volunteered? Would they still have put their lives on the line for this? Because this is pretty much nothing like the way of life I know they signed up to defend. This is an abomination. This is something I expect they would fight against.

It’s a near-certainty that, before very much longer, they will get their chance.

To paraphrase my colleague Angelo Codevilla, what’s happening now in America is not a perversion or aberration, it’s an assertion of power. What we are seeing is the transformation of America from a free and sovereign nation accountable to the citizens, to a vassal state coalition of oligarchs and rogue national security bureaucrats sympathetic to, if not outright supportive of, China’s global hegemony. Who is really on top in this relationship has yet to be determined. Is it the bureaucrats in service to the oligarchs, or is it the oligarchs backing a rogue bureaucracy? Either way, in the words of the late, great George Carlin, “It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.”

The current regime likes to talk about the domestic extremist danger to “our democracy.” What they really mean is that traditional Americans are a threat to their transformation of America away from a sovereign nation-state to some form of authoritarian oligarchy.

Too many Americans fail to understand the very real threat to their lives, liberty, and pursuit of happiness posed by a regime that holds this belief. Unfortunately, Americans seem to be waiting for a white knight or some divine miracle to roll back the regime’s ongoing transformation of America. The truth is, that old America, the one you grew up in, the one you think of as normal, doesn’t exist anymore. It’s gone, and it isn’t coming back.

Whether the current regime is backed by an oligarchy-supported deep state bureaucracy, or a deep state bureaucracy supported by China-sympathetic oligarchs, the clear and present danger to every traditional American is centered in Washington, D.C.

On this Memorial Day, I will be thinking of my friends and comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice, and I’m not afraid to say that some of those memories will be difficult. But I know that their beliefs and the way of life that motivated them to serve as warriors still exists. It exists in every defiant American who refuses to bend the knee to the tyrant. It exists in every American who still believes in liberty, freedom, and equal justice under law. It exists in those who yearn for the self-determination of a republic. I think that’s worth fighting for, and I think there are others out there across America who believe the same.

Then they will be forced to confront the cold, hard nut of the matter: that “fighting for it” does in fact mean fighting for it—as opposed to speechifying about it, politicking for it, or voting it back into existence. Reclaiming our liberty and restoring some facsimile of our former Republic can only be done the old-fashioned way, the same way the Founders created it. Those valiant, indomitable men proclaimed their willingness to hazard “our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor” neither lightly nor unknowingly. They well knew what that pledge might bring down on their heads; when they pronounced themselves free and independent, they said exactly what they meant, and they meant exactly what they said. They signed the Declaration fully aware that the price of fulfillment for their mutual pledge was payable exclusively in blood, ruin, and death. They did it anyway. They risked all, sacrificed much, and won everything.

None but a purblind chucklehead could dare to dream that our Founders’ present-day heirs might secure such a lustrous prize for themselves at a discount rate. With every word of delusional drivel asserting the existence of a way to redeem their loss at only trifling physical expense, another entry is stamped into the “UNWORTHY” side of freedom’s ledger.

None of which in any way tarnishes the men for whom Memorial Day was established, of course. Lincoln probably said it best:

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate—we can not consecrate—we can not hallow—this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. Apropos of nothing and totally immaterial though it is, CF Lifers will probably know that Willie Ley was my late wife’s grandfather, on her mom’s side. In fact, both my mother in law’s and my wife’s middle name was/is Ley. He died several years before Christiana was born; my MIL says one of the things she remembers most vividly about him is the strong smell of the big, fat stogies he constantly puffed…and inhaled, for Pete’s sake. That alone earned the man my undying respect. From what the mother in law has told me about him, her pop was quite the character all around, a very interesting fella. I wish I could’ve met him.

Attorney Sidney Powell spoke at the For God and Country Rally this Memorial Day Weekend in Dallas, Texas.

During her on-stage discussion, Sidney Powell was asked about what will happen if several states overturn their 2020 presidential election results.

Sidney Powell: We’re definitely in uncharted territory. There are cases where elections have been overturned. But there’s never been one at the presidential level where everybody will jump to point out. That doesn’t mean it can’t be done, though. There’s always the first case. And as far as I know, this is the first case of abject fraud and obtaining a coup of the United States of America. So, it’s going to have to be dealt with. It should be that he can simply be reinstated, that a new inauguration day is set. (cheers) And Biden is told to move out of the White House. And President Trump should be moved back in.

Kinda sad at this point, I must say. The only aspect of this that’s of any real interest to me is that Powell is sporting a biker-style leather vest, which I can only assume is a gesture of solidarity with the Rolling Thunder scooter trash, who have apparently decided to wave a good old-fashioned middle-finger salute at the Deep State douchewads who tried to cancel this year’s Memorial Day run.

The annual Rolling to Remember event is set to be held this weekend in the Nation’s Capital and turnout is expected to be even greater after the  group was denied a permit for a staging area from the Pentagon under President Joe Biden’s leadership.

The highly anticipated event garnered much attention over the last few months after it was reported that the Pentagon had rejected a staging permit for the annual motorcycle event over coronavirus health concerns.

The event, formerly known as Rolling Thunder, is being organized by AMVETS, a veterans group, and is held annually each Memorial Day in Washington, DC. Organizers expect an even greater turnout now because of the attention they received after being denied the permit.

Speaking exclusively to Breitbart News, Joe Chenelly, the national executive director of AMVETS, said that Muriel Bowser, the mayor of the District of Columbia, granted the group permission to stage at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.

“We’ve built out a very robust plan, great infrastructure, so Sunday morning we will be staging at RFK stadium,” Chenelly said, noting that the event is now “expecting 100,000 bikes.”

Chenelly also said that the Metropolitan Police Department has “been very cooperative” in working with organizers to make sure that safety measures are in effect for the event.

“The Pentagon telling us no and the story that created has actually driven up our expectations of how many people are coming in by quite a bit,” Chenelly added.

Two articles that are chock-a-block with ’em.

Let’s be honest: the federal government hasn’t looked in tip-top shape for a long time, and now it’s a train wreck waiting to happen.

It’s made up of millions of petty bureaucrats who couldn’t care less about “serving the public.” Rather, they use their sinecures to exert power over (and not on behalf of) Americans and turn a tidy profit in the process. As was made clear while President Trump was in office, the president’s prerogative is routinely thwarted by an unelected administrative Leviathan that has no foundation in the Constitution’s division of government but does move to the Democratic Party’s marching orders. Congress is made up of below-average-intelligence scoundrels and prima donnas who pretend to be statesmen and lawmakers while outside lobbyists, corporate kingmakers, and foreign governments write the laws that punch the rest of us right in the gut. And the federal courts have become home to too many political hacks camouflaged in priestly robes who distort the rule of law in pursuit of partisan objectives.

Notwithstanding the timely re-emergence of fiscal conservatives every few years who promise to have an answer to America’s budgetary crisis and looming financial Armageddon, nobody honestly believes there is any way to arrest America’s runaway debt explosion and unfunded liabilities spiraling past 250 trillion dollars while one quarter of the money supply now in circulation has been created out of thin air in just the last year.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military is engaged in war in some eighty countries — or nearly half the nations on the planet — and most Americans have no idea what kind of fighting is being done on their behalf or why. They do know that while the federal government finds the logistical legerdemain to engage in global conflict, it cannot (and will not) be bothered to use any of that skill to secure the southern border — preferring instead to enable drug-traffickers and criminal gangs to wage war against American citizens while at the same time demanding that Americans relinquish their Second Amendment rights to self-protection.

But do not worry. Have no fear. We have an Intelligence Community in America that is keeping everyone safe by reading all of our emails and text messages, spying on our phone calls, and generally making sure that any American objecting to the State-enforced political correctness struggle sessions of the day be added to the government’s growing list of “extremists.” The same bunch of propagandists who could be counted on to push the Russia hoax for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and who will now make sure that the origins of the Wuhan Virus get covered up for the political benefit of Joe Biden, are the wizards who regularly engage in national disinformation campaigns against the American people for their own good. Was the CIA lying about Russian bounties being paid for the killing of American soldiers in Afghanistan in order to manipulate White House policy? Sure. Is military intelligence pushing UFO sightings today to distract the American people from emerging crises on the horizon? Maybe. Is there any check whatsoever on the powers of the Intelligence Community? Not likely. Does anyone in Congress seem to care? Nope.

Every last syllable a pure, 24-carat nugget of solid-gold Truth. But one way or another, directly or indirectly, all the above can be laid in the lap of the Evil Left.

Yes, I did say Evil. With a capital E. And I meant it, too.

This Weekend We Remember – The Left Is Evil
If you remember one thing this Memorial Day weekend, let it be this — leftists are horrible, cloven-hoofed sub-humans.

The word, “evil” gets tossed around like Marilyn Monroe at the Kennedy compound. Leftists believe voter ID, the wall, ICE, Trump supporters and Christmas are all “evil.” Words are like baseball mitts. The more you use them the softer they become. Kind of like how the word “racist” no longer has meaning.

FACT-O-RAMA: Using a word until it loses its meaning is referred to “semantic satiation.”

Let’s take a look down memory land and look at some classic evil.

He has a little list, consisting of but a few items. That’s okay, though; there’s no way in Hell (ahem) a complete one could ever be compiled, since there are too many new examples every day for any mere mortal to even keep up with. Anybody who tried would probably die from choking on all the sulfur and burning-pitch fumes anyway.

Better sit down for this one. It’s a real shocker.

Gwen Stefani has been repeatedly accused of “cultural appropriation” because of her love of Japanese street style, but the pop icon isn’t caving in.

Speaking to Paper Magazine, Stefani said there would be much less beauty in the world if people stopped cultural appropriation.

The issue the singer has received the most heat for has been over her Harajuku clothing line and backup dancers.

She also essentially said that there was more freedom before woke mobs took over social media looking for things to be angry about.

“I think that we grew up in a time where we didn’t have so many rules,” she said. “We didn’t have to follow a narrative that was being edited for us through social media, we just had so much more freedom.”

The superstar also pushed back on the belief that celebrities have a duty to wade into political issues.

“The whole point of voting, is you have this personal space to feel how you feel,” Stefani said. “I use my platform to share my life story and to engage with people and to exchange whatever gift I was giving. I’m not a political science major. I am not that person. Everyone knows that. So why would I even talk about it?”

Well I’ll be blowed, how about that? Y’all please excuse me for a sec, while I lean over and pick my jaw up off the floor. I never have had strong feelings about Stefani’s music one way or the other, but after this she’s all right by me. The Federalist has more.

The line between what woke Americans would call “cultural appropriation” and what they would call “racist” is a fine one and might not even exist. After all, Stefani’s critics didn’t stop at calling her use of a Japanese dancing troupe offensive cultural appropriation. They said it was “extremely racist,” with (third-rate, unfunny hack “comedian” Margaret—M) Cho going so far as to compare it to blackface and minstrel shows, examples of dehumanizing entertainment that openly mocked black people and caricatured people of African descent.

It’s here that the Stefani blowback exposes an American crisis of communication that has occurred in large part because the activist left has forfeited scales of severity in our dialogue. If loving Harajuku so much that you stylize your art around it is the equivalent of a minstrel show or blackface, then how are we supposed to qualify flagrant acts of racism?

Blurring that line is the whole point, of course, for all sorts of reasons. Progtards believe it to be a sound, effective strategy, one that will shame, cow, and subdue anyone they accuse of it. To their eventual dismay, it’s going to backfire on them before all is said and done—and quite badly, too. I’ll bold the part below that hints at one of the ways that ill-considered torpedo is already beginning to circle back on them.

This loss of perspective is pervasive, to the point that sitting U.S. senators and the now-vice president will call a fake hate crime a “modern-day lynching,” but it explains a lot about our cultural decline. It’s why activists insist that silence is violence and murder convictions are not justice.

An obsession with cultural appropriation also reveals the deep unseriousness of self-proclaimed “anti-racists.” The modern left, with its influence in boardrooms and newsrooms and classrooms, takes every opportunity to lecture weary Americans about the enduring evil of whiteness and of white supremacy.

While their racially charged screeds are almost always unfounded, within their rhetoric is a message that threatens to cultivate white pride where it didn’t exist before. By reinforcing the idea that cultural appreciation is cultural appropriation and therefore racist, woke warriors encourage white people to insulate themselves from the cultures and experiences of others and fully embrace tribalism wherein race is a focal point.

Annnd bingo. By forcing white people into an untenable corner this way, based on the assumption that it will render them more complaisant, they’re actually radicalizing many who had always been perfectly fine with placid coexistence with ethnic and racial Others before. The very move the idjit Left thought would subdue and pacify whypeepo (BCE’s term, which I’m pleased to swipe) is creating a veritable army of people who are now becoming fully Woke to the unfortunate truth of the slogan the color of your skin is your uniform.

How rich is the irony, then, that the very disharmony the Left is promoting should drive so many decent folks, who had little to no thought of tribalism, bigotry, or racial conflict until now, to adopt one of the core tenets of the guy who founded the American Nazi Party?
