APOCALYPSE NOW!

I love the smell of liberal tears in the morning. Smells like…victory.

Update! Insty:

SO KAMALA DIDN’T SPEAK LAST NIGHT, AND DIDN’T CALL TRUMP TO CONCEDE. A (female) friend messages: “Charming that the Democrats have twice put up a woman against Trump, who gets too drunk the night of elections to give a concession speech.”

They’re not sending their best people. Or heck, maybe they are . . .

Heh. Indeed.

Updated update! Just hit me that I’ve gotta get busy getting the Scrooge Picard theme up and running quick as I can. Why, you ask? Because for once, Christmas truly did come early this year, of course. 😉

Smash the State

Oh noes, looks like Trump has murdered poor Peanut the Squirrel! You may laugh, but t’ain’t funny, McGee: you know as well as I do that it will be tomorrow morning’s NYT headline, and the subject of the next Kumhaula for ***”pResident”*** ad.

Operative words in this next one: “We complied.” That was your mistake, bud. NEVER comply with the whims of dictators and tyrants.

Happily, the squirrels know the appropriate response to murderous oppression. If only we humans were as intelligent as our furry four-legged friends.

You go, gi…uhhh, squirrels! Via Ed, an explainer for why this seemingly insignificant story really does matter.

In the midst of the decisive election campaign of our lifetimes, why talk about Peanut the Squirrel? Aren’t there more important issues like the polls, turnout, shenanigans, and all the day’s news?

Actually, the Peanut saga is the WHOLE story, in a nutshell.

Yeah, yeah, sorry. Onwards.

Yes, all those things matter. But the story of Peanut matters because it is a microcosm of what we are facing. A nameless, faceless, and merciless bureaucracy with no sense of proportion or empathy can, at a whim, upend people’s lives over what amounts to nothing. It can seize a beloved family pet, the mascot of an organization that does enormous good, just because some nanny-stater decides they don’t approve.

The streets of New York City are filled with criminals and migrants, billions are spent on hotel rooms for illegals, drugs are ravaging our communities, and lawlessness is spreading in ways that degrade our civilization. Those are big problems that are difficult to deal with, so the government turns its Sauron eye to Peanut because it can overwhelm the little guy with no problem.

Improving people’s lives is hard. Killing a squirrel is easy.

And far more satisfying to the kind of miserable parasite you find burrowed deeply into all goobermint bureaucracies, too.

We all get overwhelmed by the enormous challenges we face, but we can all understand the story of a squirrel. In our guts, we know what happened is wrong–what we need to understand is that this is how government works as often as not. The ostensible reason behind the raid and 5-hour squirrel (and raccoon) hunt in a man’s home is that Peanut could have rabies, and rabies control is a government function.

Oh, absolutely! Says so right there in the, um, Constitution. Not that anybody cares about that old thing anymore. Bottom line? Just this.

Fighting rabies in the wild is hard, and it is MUCH easier to euthanize a squirrel that lives indoors and could not possibly have rabies. Eight government employees can waste a day ransacking a man’s house, kill a squirrel, and call it a day without having to do anything that actually makes the public safer. Win!

PREACH it, bruh!

The last word is DOA’s.

“Whatcha gonna do with your head in a noose,” indeed. Although Joey Shithead’s response is “I DON’T KNOOOOW,” I most certainly do: nothing, that’s what.

The Coming Unpleasantness©

Lee Smith uncorks a swing-for-the-fences blast that lands way up in the cheap seats.

Is The Left Preparing For War If Trump Wins?

A: Yes. Yes, they most certainly are—a war that they will start, but that Real Americans have no choice but to win. Onwards.

The propaganda campaign labeling Donald Trump as an aspiring dictator determined to use the military and national security apparatus against his political opponents is designed not to affect the upcoming election but rather to shape the post-election environment. It is the central piece of a narrative that, by characterizing Trump as a tyrant (indeed likening him to Hitler), establishes the conditions for violence — not just another attempt on Trump’s life, but political violence on a massive scale intended to destabilize the country.

As I write in my forthcoming book Disappearing the President, Democratic Party research and media reports show that many senior party officials and operatives are preparing for the possibility of a Trump victory. Accordingly, planning is focused on undermining the incoming president with enough violence to rock his administration. Prominent post-election scenarios forecast such widespread rioting that the newly elected president would be compelled to invoke the Insurrection Act. With some senior military officials refusing to follow Trump’s orders, according to the scenarios, the U.S. Armed Forces would split, leaving America on the edge of the abyss.

By vilifying Trump as a despotic madman who must be stopped before he can commence his reign of terror, the regime’s propaganda apparatus not only slanders Trump but also pre-emptively threatens the reputation, as well as the livelihood and perhaps the liberty, of current military personnel. The point is to push the military against Trump: When the time comes to act, will you stand for democracy or side with a tyrant who sees the military only as an instrument to advance his personal interests?

For instance, last week the Atlantic’s editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, quoted former Trump administration officials claiming that the Republican candidate is contemptuous of America’s armed forces and, according to Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, wishes he could command the same respect that Hitler commanded from his general officers.

This is not the first time that Trump has been compared to Hitler or that Kelly, a retired Marine general, turned on his former commander-in-chief. Kelly was the key source for a story published before the 2020 election, also in the Atlantic and also by Jeffrey Goldberg, that alleged Trump had called American WWII soldiers buried in French cemeteries “suckers and losers.”

The veracity of Kelly’s latest revelation that Trump admires Hitler must of course be judged against the fact that he waited five years to disclose it, even if it is unlikely to have much effect on the current election cycle. The military, and veterans of the Global War on Terror in particular, overwhelmingly support the candidate opposed to waging endless and strategically pointless foreign wars. Moreover, Trump has weathered far more damaging fabrications — like the false allegations that he had been compromised by Russian intelligence — that only galvanized support for him.

The purpose of the Hitler narrative is not to alter the electoral preferences of left-wing media audiences already solidly in the anti-Trump column, but rather to justify taking extreme measures against the Republican candidate and the America First movement and ensure that the bulk of the military sides with the anti-Trump plot. Thus, it is best understood in the context of recent accounts promising, or urging, violence after the November vote.

Annnnd bingo, there it all is. You might think of this as a sort of companion-piece to tonight’s Eyrie offering, neither of which you want to miss a single word of. Read both of ‘em in their entirety, and then…just think about it while you’re loading mags.

Strong, smart women for Trump

Many of them, but nary a one of them stronger, smarter, or just plain smoking-hotter than the alluring Drea de Matteo, who lays it down clean and tight in this vid.

You go, girl, and good on ya for this excellent smackdown of someone who desperately needs it.

Trump takes out the trash

Rolling over howling Leftard ghouls with élan, style, and great good humor.

Trump trolls Harris and Biden by riding a GARBAGE TRUCK to his Wisconsin rally
Donald Trump trolled Joe Biden and Kamala Harris by riding a MAGA garbage truck to his rally in Wisconsin on Wednesday night in response to Biden’s comments that upended the presidential race with a week to go.

You all know the story Enemedia is mislabeling “Apostrophegate” in their desperation to get a little favorable (to them) backspin on Biden’s exposure of how D卐M☭CRATs really, truly feel about Real Americans; no need to dive any deeper into that particular rubbish bin at this juncture, I don’t think.

What’s dismaying to me, though, is the growing number of naysayers ostensibly on Our Side who are bitching, pissing, and moaning up a storm over Trump’s McDonald’s triumph and this hastily-put-together encore as just stupid, childish, unserious, embarrassing, et al. According to these oh-so-dignified pundits, Trump’s antics are a sure-fire recipe for defeat. Haven’t seen the word “deplorable” from any of them as of yet, but you can practically hear the teeth grinding and gnashing together as they struggle mightily to stop themselves from resorting to it.

Puh-LEEEEZE, Mr Grinch! It couldn’t be more obvious that Trump, far from damaging himself politically, is having a blast. Likewise, millions upon millions of Normals are enjoying the show almost as much as he is himself. Kumhaula talks herself blue in the face about “joy,” but all any interested party needs to do is take a look at her opponent to see the genuine article in action.

And what, pray tell, is wrong with that, exactly? Sourpusses, Gloomy Gus-es, and sundry other Church Lady types both Left and Right can grouse and grump all they want to about Trump’s rollicking, jolly, informal campaigning style, but from where I sit it looks as if most folks find it a much-needed breath of fresh air. It’s refreshing, not alarming.

All of which preceding verbiage affords me a prime opportunity to re-run a wildly apt Cramps tune in honor of America’s Garbageman.

The need to Believe™

Is strong in these ones.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Early Voting
The whole idea of voting early marked a massive shift in my mindset. Although we’ve only had early voting in Georgia for a few years, I’ve always resisted it. I’ve always laughed when I heard Erick Erickson say on his show that you need to vote early because you never know if the weather is going to be bad on Election Day. The weather is never bad on Election Day in Georgia, although I do remember waiting outside in the rain in 2012 or 2016 (I can’t remember which).

When I would see people posting their “I Voted Early” stickers, I would think of it almost as bragging or maybe even virtue-signaling. Looking back, my stubbornness about not voting early might have been a different sort of virtue-signaling.

“I think traditionally, Republicans tend to want to go vote on Election Day,” Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump said. I was one of those for sure.

My line in the sand was that Election Day was sacred. There was something about waiting in line and having conversations with the people in line (something I would never do the other 364 days of the year). There was a certain camaraderie about the voting line for me, no matter how impatient I got — and there were enough technical errors in 2020 to make us all impatient. Maybe I should’ve seen that as a sign, but that’s another conversation for another day.

I know that not everybody feels the way I do about early voting, but this is a journey that took me years to make. What I do know is that whether you vote early or on Election Day, whether you’re punching a hole in a ballot or tapping a touchscreen, your vote counts!

Uh huh, suurrrre it does. Hey, anybody remember when Real Americans felt such conveniences as early voting, mail-in ballots, and electronic voting machines were all things we desperately needed to get rid of as a fundamental part of “election reform” if we were ever going to straighten out the rigged, corrupt shitshow that Amerikan “elections” have become? Nah, me neither.

When, early in her first term, ***”pResident”*** Harris signs the executive order doing away with the Electoral College once and for all, expect there to be nary a “baaah” of complaint from cowardly, contemptible former Americans about it; if our bland, pathetic acceptance of the official institutionalization of the nuts and bolts of election-rigging is any indication, there’s no reason to think we won’t just swallow that down the same way. “Not the hill to die on,” don’t you know; apparently, none of ’em are.

In case you’re wondering why we lost America That Was to the Evil Left, look no further than this: because we deserved to, that’s why.

Lies, damned lies, statistics…

And the Atlantic liberal-propaganda rag.

Atlantic Writer Claims Trump Got Angry at Paying for Soldier’s Funeral, Deceased’s Sister Responds
You really do not hate journalists enough.

Some guy named Jeffrey Goldberg at the Atlantic recently shoveled out another Trump Derangement Syndrome screed, claiming Le Bad Orange Man got angry at the bill for a deceased soldier’s funeral that he offered to pay for back in 2020, which reportedly cost $60,000.

For additional context: Spc. Vanessa Guillén was murdered in Fort Hood, Texas, by a fellow soldier in April of 2020. Ryan McCarthy, who was Secretary of the Army at the time, investigated her murder. President Trump expressed his condolences to the family and hosted them at the White House, offering to pay for the funeral.

Here is where the story starts sounding like it was made up:

In an Oval Office meeting on December 4, 2020, officials gathered to discuss a separate national-security issue. Toward the end of the discussion, Trump asked for an update on the McCarthy investigation. Christopher Miller, the acting secretary of defense (Trump had fired his predecessor, Mark Esper, three weeks earlier, writing in a tweet, “Mark Esper has been terminated”), was in attendance, along with Miller’s chief of staff, Kash Patel. At a certain point, according to two people present at the meeting, Trump asked, “Did they bill us for the funeral? What did it cost?”

According to attendees, and to contemporaneous notes of the meeting taken by a participant, an aide answered: Yes, we received a bill; the funeral cost $60,000.

Trump became angry. “It doesn’t cost 60,000 bucks to bury a f***ing Mexican!” He turned to his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and issued an order: “Don’t pay it!” Later that day, he was still agitated. “Can you believe it?” he said, according to a witness. “F***ing people, trying to rip me off.”

Goldberg at least had the honesty (shocking, I know) to say that Trump spokesperson Alex Pfeiffer denied that this event happened, saying, “President Donald Trump never said that. This is an outrageous lie from The Atlantic two weeks before the election.”

Mark Meadows, Trump’s Chief of Staff at the time, is also calling the story fake, saying he was in the room when this “incident” happened:

I was in the discussions featured in the Atlantic’s latest hit piece against President Trump. Let me say this.

Any suggestion that President Trump disparaged Ms. Guillen or refused to pay for her funeral expenses is absolutely false.

He was nothing but kind, gracious, and wanted to make sure that the military and the U.S. government did right by Vanessa Guillen and her family.

Of course, one might expect Trump staffers to take up for their boss, rightly or wrongly; thus, including them in his hate-piece is Goldberg’s not-quite-clever way of inoculating himself against accusations of bias, which would be entirely accurate. But what does the grieving sister of the deceased have to say about it? Nothing whatsoever good for Goldberg and his fellow Atlantic liars.

Pretty much dispositive, I’d say. Like the man says, no matter how much you hate them, you don’t hate them enough. You couldn’t, really, it isn’t possible to.

Goose, please allow me to introduce Gander

Hey, anybody remember when foreign interference in Amerikan “elections” was a BAD thing? Nah, me neither.

British Labour Party sending staff to campaign for Harris in US swing states
WASHINGTON (TNND) — The left-leaning British Labour Party is sending nearly 100 members to U.S. battleground states to campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of the presidential election.

Sofia Patel, head of operations for the Labour Party, shared the plans via LinkedIn Wednesday. She claimed current and former party staff will target key swing states like North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

“I have 10 spots available for anyone available to head to the battleground state of North Carolina – we will sort your housing,” Patel offered in the post.

Patel also noted she plans to arrive in the U.S. two weeks prior to the election and stay in Washington, D.C., for a few days afterward.

Patel’s profile shows she previously spent time in the Hillary Clinton campaign from October to November of 2016. She included the description “travelled to the US to campaign for Clinton in the presidential election.”

Leave it to MTG to make with the stinging, snappy riposte, in her accustomed gadfly role.

Reacting to Patel’s post was Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., who suggested via X it was “yet another reason to vote for President Trump.” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., also weighed in, telling the Labour Party it is breaking Federal Election Commission law.

“Foreign nationals are not allowed to be involved in anyway in U.S. elections,” Rep. Greene wrote via X. “Please go back to the UK and fix your own mass immigration problems that are ruining your country.”

And of course, the rock star I know affectionately as the God-Emperor of Earth put his own oar in as well.

X owner Elon Musk wrote simply “this is illegal” in his own post on the matter.

Well said: pithy, straight to the fucking point, no BS, no mincing of words or surplus verbiage—only this and nothing more, as Poe once said in a slightly different context. You tell ‘em, Elon ol’ boy. Back to Limey-land witcha, MSXZZ Patel, and most ricky-tick; do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars.

Dog bites man

Liberalism delenda est.

Halperin: Trump Win Will Trigger ‘Unprecedented and Hideous’ Mental Health Crisis
Many have been wondering how the left will take it if Donald Trump wins the 2024 election. According to veteran political analyst Mark Halperin, a Trump-Vance victory will trigger “the greatest mental health crisis in the history of the country.”

Halperin sat in on Tucker Carlson’s show this week for a wide-ranging discussion. When Carlson asked him what he thought would happen if Trump wins, Halperin predicted a psychological holocaust on the left that would fall somewhere between “The Purge” and the zombie apocalypse.

“I say this not flippantly,” began Halperin. “I think it will be the cause of the greatest mental health crisis in the history of the country. I think tens of millions of people will question their connection to the nation, their connection to other human beings, their connection to their vision of what their future — for them and their children — could be like. And I think that it will require an enormous amount of access to mental health professionals. I think it’ll lead to trauma in the workplace. I think there’ll be some degree of —“

At this point, an incredulous Carlson asked Halperin if he was being serious.

“A hundred percent serious. A hundred percent serious,” the political prognosticator assured him. Then he returned to his litany. “I think there’ll be alcoholism, there’ll be broken marriage—“

“What?” interjected the host.

“Yeah. They think he’s the worst person possible to be president,” Halperin explained. “And, having won by the hand of Jim Comey and fluke in 2016, and then [Trump] performed in office for four years, and denied who won the election last time, and January 6 — the fact that, under a fair election, America chose, by the rules pre-agreed to, Donald Trump again, I think it will cause the biggest mental health crisis in the history of America.”

From there, the light-hearted banter delved into speculation about the potential for violence. “Yeah, I think there’ll be some violence,” Halperin confirmed. “I think there’ll be workplace fights. There’ll be fights at kids’ birthday parties. I think there’ll be protests that will turn violent. I hope they’re not, but I think there will be some.’

The seasoned analyst went on to plumb the nature of the imminent despair of the American left. “I think it will be less anger and more a failure to understand how it could happen. You know, like the death of a child, or your spouse announcing that she’s a lesbian and she’s leaving you for your best friend — like something that’s so traumatic that it is impossible for even the most mentally healthy person to truly process and incorporate into their daily life.”

The most mentally healthy Democrat, he should have specified. Republicans and patriots face political defeat and alienation from their own country on a regular basis without going bonkers.

SO—shitlib D卐M☭CRATs will flip out, go insane, and generally run amok if Trump “wins” the “election,” eh? And we’re supposed to distinguish this unusual, once in a lifetime event from any other day of the week ending in “Y”…HOW, exactly? Thorne concludes:

Should a Trump-Vance victory come to pass, remember to bring in the pets and children and lock the doors before you start popping champagne corks.

Fuck that noise—load extra mags, zero rifle sights, establish good fields of fire, make sure your perimeter is well-lighted instead, among other things.

JD hits ’em AGAIN

Good and hard, too.

J.D. Vance Destroys ABC News Anchor for Downplaying Immigrant Gang Violence
Sen. JD Vance appeared on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday morning, during which Martha Raddatz attempted to downplay concerns about Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes in Aurora, Colo.

It did not go well for Raddatz.

The conversation took a turn when Raddatz tried to brush off the issue by labeling it as “a handful of apartment complexes,” but Vance wasn’t having any of it.

At the heart of the exchange was Raddatz’s pushback on Donald Trump’s remarks about violent gangs in American communities, which the mayor of Aurora, Colorado, has downplayed. Raddatz couldn’t quite get her narrative straight, however.

“He’s making these statements that the mayor is flat out disputing,” Raddatz said of Trump.

But Vance, quick to catch the spin, responded: “Well, Martha, you just said the mayor said they were exaggerated,” to which Raddatz attempted to cover herself, by saying they were “roughly exaggerated.”

And that’s when Raddatz really stepped in it.

“Senator Vance, I’m gonna stop you because I know exactly what happened,” she claimed. “I’m gonna stop you. The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment conflicts apartment complexes, and the mayor said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems.”

And that’s when Vance pounced.

“Only, Martha, do you hear yourself?” he said. “Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem and not Kamala Harris’s open border.” Vance’s frustration was palpable as he pointed to the broader issue of America’s border crisis and the consequences of millions of unvetted migrants entering the country. “Americans are so fed up with what’s going on, and they have every right to be. And I really find this exchange, Martha, sort of interesting because you seem to be more focused with nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over by violent gangs.”

“Only a handful”—which, naturally, is perfectly fine with shitlib scum like Raddatz and her loathsome ilk, for whom the only real problem is not that this is happening at all but that it isn’t more widespread than it already is. Here’s the vid:

We could do a whole lot worse than JD Vance as Veep, or even President. And almost certainly will.

Update! Slammin’ Schlichter nails ‘em to a cross.

So damnably predictable, this Progressivist progression.

Updated update! Upon further reflection, this story underscores the divide, providing proof positive of the insuperable nature of the fundamental conflict in Amerika v2.0: “people” like Martha Raddatz will never, ever understand why Real Americans like Vance find even ONE apartment complex being taken over by violent, criminal foreign gangs unacceptable.

Yet somehow, we’re expected to find some way, ANY way, to live cheek by jowl with “liberal” shitweasels, as opposed to just exterminating them like the plague-rats they are? And any failure to do so is nonetheless OUR fault and not theirs, because “racist bigots,” or “Trump is Literally Hitler,” or some other such folderol? Sorry, NO.

In JK Rowling’s fantastic Harry Potter series, Professor Trelawney’s cryptic prophecy regarding Harry and Lord Voldemort includes a line that really says it all: Neither can live while the other survives. That’s as good a summary of the current contretemps as I can think of right offhand.

They’d probably object to me saying so in this context, but the lyrics of this thoroughly awesome Disturbed song fit the bill pretty neatly.

“Turned into someone who cannot be preyed upon…” If they fear anything at all, that would have to be it, in my estimation.

Can’t stop the steal

Still think Trump/Vance will defeat Kumhaula and Tampon Timmeh the Pillsbury Doughpyrsynz©, do ya? If so, may I ask why, exactly?

North Carolina gives counties affected by Hurricane Helene voting flexibility
Voters in the western part of the battleground state, which was hit hard by the storm, will be able to drop off completed absentee ballots to any county election board.

North Carolina’s election board voted Monday to give residents in the western part of the state, which was hit hardest by Hurricane Helene, greater flexibility to vote by mail and run their elections.

Voters in 13 counties heavily affected by the storm will have more ways to obtain and deliver absentee ballots, while county boards will have more ability to modify their election administration plans. The changes, approved by unanimous vote of the bipartisan board, come 10 days before early voting begins in the battleground state and as mail voting is already underway.

Voters in those counties who want to cast ballots by mail will be able to request and receive them in person until Nov. 4, the day before Election Day, rather than the Tuesday before, under the usual rules. They will also be able to drop off their ballots at any county board of elections in the state or any polling sites in their counties. Previously, voters were limited to dropping absentee ballots off at the board of elections or early voting sites in their counties.

The ballots will be counted if they are received by 7:30 p.m. ET on Election Day.

The emergency provisions will allow county boards, with bipartisan majority votes, to change their early voting hours and schedules if necessary. They will be able to move polling sites as necessary and even move them into other counties if necessary.

Greenfield says it, no fuss, no muss.

Come on, you knew this was coming. Never let a crisis go to waste. Instead of providing immediate aid, the Biden-Harris administration worsened the crisis in North Carolina. Because a crisis justifies setting aside election rules.

While some flexbility makes sense after a natural disaster, this is a formula for flooding the election with unaccountable mail ballots aimed at counties under the firm control of partisan political machines.

Who benefits? That’s a tough one.

Ain’t it, though. Ain’t it just.

Unless and until we get back to One Man, One Paper Ballot, One Day, concluding with purple-inked thumbs before being permitted to exit the polling place—ie, no EZ-Hack electronic voting machines; no Election “Season” nonsense; no mail-ins or early voting except for military personnel stationed overseas; hand-counted in a scrupulously monitored tabulation facility before observers representing all participating political parties; no interruptions, pauses, or breaks until the count is done, however long that may take—it’s all just stuff and nonsense.

Let election-riggers, -tamperers, and -fraudsters caught red-handed at their nefarious jiggery-pokery be indicted, prosecuted, and promptly executed for High Treason, pour encourages les autres. If Real Americans don’t take their national elections seriously enough to nut-up and adopt the aforementioned measures—extreme though they may look to daintier, more squeamish eyes—there can be no real possibility of ever unfucking America’s national “elections,” and the disgraceful traveshamockery will carry on as it presently does.

One for JJ Sefton

A not exactly personal note—y’know, seeing as how it’s actually, erm, public—regarding today’s Morning Report post, wherein our ol’ blog-bud JJ says:

While the Democrats expose exactly who and what they are, Donald Trump had a rather interesting meeting with someone I would have thought would want absolutely nothing to do with him, given all of the above as well as the looming national election.

The Democrat mayor of a community with many Arab-Americans in Wayne County, Michigan, who helped lead the uncommitted movement in the Democrat primary, told Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday that his meeting with former President Donald Trump last week “was very productive” and well received by the community, which traditionally votes Democrat. Hamtramck Mayor Amer Ghalib (D) spoke with Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle in a nearly 20-minute segment on the program on the heels of his meeting with Trump in Flint, Michigan. . . Ghalib said his meeting with Trump materialized in part because many in Hamtramck and these neighboring communities are supportive of him and “the shifting dynamics” he is leading. . . “The meeting was very good,” Ghalib, who hails from Yemen, added. “I talked to President Trump about, you know, some statistics here in Wayne County and how it used to be a stronghold for the Democrats, and we always used to vote Democrat. This is not the case anymore here.” Ghalib recounted later in the interview that Trump said “he is going to end the chaos in the Middle East,” adding Trump “doesn’t want wars.”

Hamastramck or Haramtramck? Is this just another Taqqiya Sunrise, or is there something else going on? If this character is trying to appease the blue collar base, which is increasingly disenchanted with the Biden/Harris junta over its insane disaster over pushing EVs that is laying waste to their jobs among many other issues destroying the economy, on top of the Teamster rank and file seemingly leaning heavily towards Trump. Heck of a job trying to right the sinking Democrat ship. Mayor Ghalib.

Now as fate would have it, I myself had a cordial email exchange with Mayor Ghalib in June of last year wherein I congratulated him and the Hamtramck City Council on the passage of a town ordinance forbidding the flying of any other than official city, state, or US national flags from government buildings in Hamtramck…yes, DURING PRIDE MONTH!!! In my original missive I wrote:

I honor and congratulate you, Mayor Ghalib, for your work with the Hamtramck city council to restore a modicum of sanity and decorum to your city with the recent determination that flags celebrating Pride Month have no place on city property. I am not a Muslim myself, and live quite a distance from your city, although I have visited Hamtramck and the Detroit area several times in years past, when I was on the road playing with a rockabilly/blues/surf band. That was back when I was lot younger than I am now; I’ve gotten much too old for that sort of thing now, alas.

That said, I am very glad to see you and your fellow elected officials standing up for what’s right on this issue, and applaud you all for your courage and plain good sense. The new ordinance isn’t in any way unreasonable or unjust; in fact, all the statements I’ve seen so far from not only Hamtramck officials but ordinary Muslim-American citizens in your area have been nothing but commonsensical, broad-minded, and eminently fair. Stick to your guns, you’re fighting the good fight here, and whether you know it or not there are millions of us out here who realize that, and are firmly on your side in this battle.

All in all, you good people seem to me to be way more American than all too many native-born folks I could name.

Heartfelt kudos to you all, and please keep up the good work. I was born in North Carolina myself, and currently live just over the state line in SC. I’m happy to have you and your colleagues here with us in the USA, and that you understand so well what our country is supposed to be all about. I support what you’re doing one hundred percent, and wish you good fortune, success, and happiness. Thanks again.

Naturally, the LGBTQEIEIO+++ Mafia was throwing kicking, screaming hissy fits over this unconscionable “betrayal” at the time. Ghalib was good enough to write back straightaway thanking me warmly for my support; I posted here on said cordial exchange, as you would expect. While I daresay there’s plenty of other topics we probably don’t see eye to eye on, far as I’m concerned Mayor Ghalib is a-okay, one of the good guys.

About damned time!

Trump says “Oh HELL no” to another three-on-one “debate” dumbshow.

TRUMP: Kamala and her group have seen what is happening to their campaign, and it’s not going well for them. And it was announced just a little while ago that they would like to do another debate.

(crowd groans)

Although good entertainment value…I’ve already done two: one with Crooked Joe Biden at CNN and the other one with Kamala on ABC.

CNN was very fair…And they were criticized by the radical-left lunatics for being fair. In other words, they won’t be fair again because they took a lot of abuse from the radical left.

ABC was three-on-one but I was given credit for doing a very good job…The problem with another debate is it’s just too late. Voting has already started.

She’s had her chance to do it with FOX, and they turned it down. But now she wants to do a debate with CNN right before the election because she’s losing badly.

And because she knows full well that CNN, contra what you just said, won’t be any more fair than any of the other Enemedia outlets will. The only way to beat the dirty blaggards is to refuse to play their rigged games at all.

Civics lesson

A brief tutorial for pig-ignorant shitlibs. Not that they’re listening, or care.

No, the Electoral College Is Not a Relic of Slavery
Consistent with federalist principles, the Constitution gives the states control over our presidential elections, providing a check on majoritarianism.

Since the 2000 presidential election, the left has worked to undermine the legitimacy of the Electoral College, labeling it a relic of slavery. No doubt, if Donald Trump returns to the White House while again losing the popular vote, these attacks will be renewed with fervor. In fact, it has already begun as commentators denounce the undemocratic nature of the system. Just last month, the New York Times published a piece trashing the Constitution and asserting that the Electoral College’s only purpose was to protect slavery. These critiques are based on misconceptions and hostility toward the very structure of our Constitution.

The History
Our method of electing the president came about through compromise. The framers agreed upon a system that ensured the states had a say in choosing the president. The Constitution gives each state a share of electors, and the states decide for themselves how to select those electors.

At the time of the constitutional convention, popular elections would have favored the North because the North’s population of free persons would have outstripped the South’s. This dynamic is why the South pushed for a system that proportioned the electoral vote based on population, including slaves.

But nothing in the Electoral College system inherently favored slavery. You could have had an Electoral College system that did not count slaves as part of the population for the purpose of distributing electors. Thus, it was the counting of slaves in proportioning electors via the infamous “three-fifths clause” that protected slavery.

In fact, even if slavery had never existed, the states would never have agreed to a method of electing the president that stripped them of having a say in the matter. Protecting state sovereignty and ensuring less populous states had influence were key features of the compromise. Therefore, slavery may have been one of several reasons for the compromise, but it certainly was not the reason.

The Merits
The way state delegations elect the chief executive may have been the product of compromise, but that does not detract from the merits of the system, which include geographic representation and respect for state sovereignty. This is true even if you believe the Electoral College is a part of slavery’s legacy.

In a national election, in a country as large and diverse as ours, representation based on geographic segments of the population is far superior to the mob rule of a purely popular vote. We are not a monolithic society. Life and perspectives vary based on location. This is especially true when you consider the differences between state governments, which attract different types of people.

America is an enormous nation, and a system based solely on the popular vote would allow densely populated cities to dominate. This dynamic is particularly problematic when one considers that urban populations often want to impose their culture and policy preferences on others, whereas rural populations generally want to be left alone. Just think about how Democrats want virtually everything to be regulated nationally by the feds.

But regardless of this left-versus-right paradigm, it is simply better to give the different geographic elements of the nation and the states a voice on national matters to somewhat lessen the ability of the majority to steamroll political minorities.

Of course, “The Merits” are precisely why the Goosesteppin’ Left wants the EC—one of the most meritorious and ingenious innovations devised by the Founders to help stave off the rise of the “democracy” they correctly abjured as “mob rule”—tossed onto the ash-heap of History. With the lamentable 17th Amendment fully and firmly in place, the Electoral College is effectively the (former) Republic’s last desperate, flickering hope; once it’s been done away with, the disassembling of America That Was (ie, America as Founded) will be achieved, and its “fundamental transformation” into a tyrrannous shitrapy will be complete at last.

Lots more yet at the link, every last syllable of it fine, fine stuff. CF Lifers will be quite familiar with the subject material, no doubt, but you’ll enjoy reading the whole thing nonetheless, if only as a refresher-course. Lord knows they ain’t teaching this stuff in government schools anymore, and there’s a reason for it—a nefarious, unlovely, disturbing reason, to be sure.
