Proposition: America is no longer what it once was because Americans are no longer what they once were. Discuss.

The left isn’t wrong when they paint conservatives as natural enemies of “our democracy.” There is nothing conservative about the radically egalitarian system that governs the country, which turns politics into a race to the bottom, a game at which the left naturally excels. The left, in all times and places, has thrived on destruction and decay. The muddled, obese, foreign mass that is today called “the American people” has only a faint connection to the sturdy, adventurous Anglo-Saxons who founded the nation. Their values – freedom of speech, property rights, religious toleration, free enterprise – it is not surprising to find, are being trampled by the government we now have, which imposes tyranny from above with the support and legitimacy of “we the people,” or what has become of the people, below.

As the country degenerates, the left grows more and more extreme without ever paying a price at the polls. On the other hand, the right is under constant pressure to moderate an already liberal agenda in a futile effort to delay extinction. What passes for conservatism has retreated to the slippery redoubts of “parental rights,” platitudes about women’s sports and “nation of immigrants” pablum.

The ugly beast of socialism, led by the stalking horse of “democracy,” is killing America from the inside. Politics and culture revolve around the grievances of the weak and the envious. To speak of great projects, or even the low bar of sobriety in government, is an absurdity amidst the deafening cry for revenge against white men and the civilization they built. Our courts have been taken hostage by lynch mobs. Decadent judges showboat for approval from the crowd. Power is wielded with a heavy hand against the enemies of the revolution, while violent criminals roam free. No one in authority accepts accountability. The soul of “democracy” is captured well by the obscene spectacle of Donald Trump’s show trial, led by patently unqualified, racially aggrieved prosecutors.

Those who find the present state of things tolerable, or even good, will never be shaken out of their delusions. One cannot feel too sorry for them when they come face to face with the creatures vomited out of the belly of their beloved “democracy.” If there is any hope of leaving this cesspool of mediocrity and disorder, it lies not with soft and flabby conservatism, which has utterly failed to yoke its vision to an unwilling, degenerate nation, but a politics that is willing to raise the bar.

And there it is yet again: The only hope, the last hope, is “a politics that is willing to raise the bar.” Sweet Christ on a crutch, what does that word-salad even mean? In such an emergency as Real Americans now confront, can it be said to mean anything at all, in practical terms?

There’s some merit to be found here and there in what the author is saying, admittedly. Moreover, it’s too true that with the bloated central government we now groan under, a cautious circumspection about what one says publicly is certainly a good and neccessary thing, if only as a matter of simple self-preservation. In times so parlous, you can’t fairly fault a guy too much for stepping a bit lightly.

That said, I’m beginning to feel more and more as if I want to just go through my browser bookmarks with a weed-whacker, trimming away all the mealy-mouthed tapdancing around what we all know the central issues and options to be, so as to allay all the steadily-mounting angst, frustration, and heartburn this kind of thing causes me. I swear, if I never have to read another article wherein the author rocks it hard right up til the last paragraph or two, spraying the landscape with full-auto blasts of high-caliber Truth only to pull out and wave that flaccid “political solutions” pud around as if it was an insight to take pride in, I’ll be a much happier man for it.

If you’ve noticed of late that I’m wandering further and further afield from national politics and current affairs—for most of its existence the primary focus of this hogwallow—instead writing more and more on subjects like music, cars and/or motorcycles, military aircraft I dig, and such-like fripperies…well, now you know why.

MYOB, serf

Know what quite possibly the best thing of all is about living in a free, open society? Gotta be the total transparency on the part of our dedicated, conscientious public servants, who always see to it that their employers are kept fully informed about what the government Of, By, and For The People is getting itself up to.

Regrettably, this is assuredly NOT that society.

IRS special agent killed at Phoenix gun range during training exercise
The FBI is investigating after a special agent with the Internal Revenue Service was killed at a gun range at a correctional facility in Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the shooting happened at the firing range at the Federal Correctional Institutional in Phoenix, located near Pioneer Road and Interstate 17 in north Phoenix. Aimee Arthur-Wastell, spokesperson with the FBOP, said the range was being used by multiple federal agencies at the time.

The FBI specified that the agent was there for “routine” training when they were killed, but didn’t offer specifics as to how the agent was killed or if anyone was in custody.

According to Phoenix police, officers who responded to the area found a person shot, later determined to be the IRS agent. The agent was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. It wasn’t immediately clear if the agent died en route or at the hospital.

According to Arthur-Wastell, no FBOP or firing range employees were injured.

“To preserve the integrity and capabilities of the investigation, details of the ongoing process will not be released,” the FBI said in a statement. “Findings of the FBI investigation will be turned over to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona for review.”

Phoenix police remained on the scene assisting the FBI, which took command of the investigation.

Arthur-Westell directed all inquiries regarding the incident to the Department of Treasury’s Office of Inspector General, which as of Thursday evening had not responded to a request for comment.

And there you have it—that’s it, the news “report” in its entirety, nothing redacted,  expurgated, or left out by little old moi. Not a jot or tittle therein of anything resembling actual information, other than  that one of our notional “employees” went to the range and then “was killed”—somewhere, somehow, somewhen, who really knows? Inquiring minds would surely wish to know more, but in Amerika v2.0, inquiring minds can just go suck themselves a fat dique for all their “public servants” give a shit.

From the notable lack of interest on the part of our dogged media establishment in pursuing things any further, one can safely assume that no Ultra Mega Mucho MAGA Americans© whatsoever were involved. As such, expect this story to disappear quicker’n lightning, no further elaboration sought or neccessary, as far as They’re concerned.

Multiple indictments of one Donald J Trump for causing this “tragedy” to follow, naturally.

Via Insty, who quips: REMEMBER, ONLY TRAINED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS CAN BE TRUSTED TO USE FIREARMS SAFELY. Yes, if there’s any reasonable takeaway here, that would have to be it.

As Half-Black Jeebus once said: “Never underestimate Jaux’s ability to fuck things up.”

Joe Biden has reportedly used several pseudonyms during his vice presidency, preventing members of Congress from identifying him in correspondence involving Ukrainian energy company Burisma, Ukraine foreign policy, and his son Hunter Biden.

On Thursday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer demanded the National Archives turn over any document or communication containing any of Joe Biden’s aliases, “including but not limited to Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware.”

In addition to requesting any document with a Biden pseudonym, the committee also requested all drafts of Biden’s speech that was delivered to the Ukrainian parliament on Dec. 9, 2015 and unrestricted access to any documents or correspondence involving Hunter Biden and his former business associates, Eric Schwerin and Devon Archer.

The idea behind Buyem’s using fake names for correspondence involving his myriad illegal influence-peddling scams was to enable him to dodge prospective FOIA requests, apparently. Fear not, though, the Deep State is fully onboard with helping Too Old Jaux and his Organized Crime Family keep the lid on things.

New documents containing Biden’s aliases could provide groundbreaking information regarding the alleged Biden bribery scandal, but the archive’s compliance with congressional requests remains precarious.

Other federal agencies, particularly the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have purposely and illegally hid key information from Congress related to the alleged Biden bribery scandal. For example, the FBI attempted to withhold from Congress an FD-1023 document. The document detailed a testimony from a “highly credible,” confidential human source, who alleged that Hunter and Joe Biden received $5 million each from Burisma executive Mykola Zlochevsky in exchange for influence over U.S. foreign policy.

The FD-1023 also alleges that Zlochevsky kept 17 audio recordings — 15 with Hunter Biden and two with Joe Biden — as an “insurance policy.” However, the FBI does not appear to have tried locating the audio recording, let alone investigating the allegations in the FD-1023.

Unfortunately, like the FBI, the National Archives is not a benign, bipartisan record-keeping agency. The archives fought with former President Trump over classified records within only a few months of his leaving office. Despite Trump having the presidential power to declassify documents, the archival dispute resulted in a ruthless FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and countless federal charges against the former president.

Meanwhile, the archives permitted Joe Biden to keep classified documents from his tenure as vice president in his Delaware home, his garage, and a busy, unsecured office building — despite not having any power to declassify documents as vice president.

The archives also infamously slapped “harmful content” warnings on the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents, further revealing the agency’s radical political ideations.

Federal agencies do not often withhold information from Congress outright. Instead, they use underhanded tactics that allow them to appear compliant with federal law but still thwart congressional oversight.

Because OF COURSE they do. Hey, that’s just how the Swampy sausage gets made, don’tchaknow.

Simple Problem, Simple Solution

We have a number of countries (40+ being claimed) which want to join the BRICS block of economies.

End of the Dollar: South Africa Says Over 40 Countries Want to Join BRICS

Spearheaded by the communists in China of course, as an attempt to harm the USA. These guys, the ones with the faltering economy, said faltering being covered up like flies on something smelly.

Xi Demands Patience as Chinese Economy Crumbles

The solution, for us, is quite simple. We announce 100% tarrifs on all imported goods from any BRICS country or any country trading with them in the brics currency of choice (yuan).

Trump would do it in a heartbeat.

Argentina is on that list, and yet the leading candidate for the presidency there, Javier Milei, plans to ABOLISH the Argentine peso and replace it with, get this –

THE DOLLAR

That would be Trump supported Javier Milei in case you were wondering.

Argentina to Embrace the Dollar as their Currency

I’ll just go ahead and announce it now – BRICS is a dead end for every country that signs on.

Other opinions welcome! Spit them out!

UPDATE:
“You can’t negotiate with leftards. You don’t negotiate with trash because they will end you! And since we are so much better than them, since we are defeating them in the cultural battle, we’re not only superior economically, we’re MORALLY superior, we’re aesthetically superior, we’re better than them at everything. And it hurts them. It hurts them. And since they can’t beat our arguments and ideas peacefully, they use the repressive apparatus of the state to try to destroy us, with taxpayer money to influence public opinion and destroy us, and yet they’re still losing! You understand? They’re losing. They’re desperate. Shit leftists are losing the cultural war. For the first time ever, leftards are cornered!”

UPDATE 2:

Japanese exports to China decline 14.4%

China is imploding, and it is happening faster than you can imagine.

The war is NOW

Not some remote, gauzy, far-off possibility, but current reality.

Since the pandemic, we’ve been living in the world of the communists. That was their big coming out party. Now, any reference, any intimation of reverting back to ideals like the rule of law, or legitimate elections are considered blasphemous and dangerous. Why, they have climate change as a societal bludgeon to keep the normal people from thinking about things like their vacations, unnecessary trips, using gas to cook food, gasoline to power cars, all of that would be too carbonaceous to register anything, but scorn. A child is the property and responsibility of the parent? Are you nuts? They belong to the state and the state will raise them to comply with the new order. Don’t you see? “It Takes a Village” was not just a book by Hillary Clinton, it was a manifesto of the communist perception of children; what can and should be done with children any time they’re under the influence of the state. It’s the Khmer Rouge plan of having children assassinate their parents at the behest of the state. They’ve already instituted the brainwashing that makes it possible.

They own it all, the law, the medicine, the drugs, the schools, the universities, the corporations, the politics and you’re on the wrong side, the losing side. You have lost control of your society and thus, your future.

The 2020 election is when they meant to prove to you that your one and only recourse to their coup, an election, could be stolen right out from under your nose and all of their minions in the states would back them up. It was a display of sheer power, to prove that you were outnumbered, outclassed and out maneuvered. It was to make you finally sit down and shut up about constitutions and rights and all of that republic nonsense.

The cases against Trump are punishment. You will be forced to take it, to absorb it, to render to them all power, no matter how ridiculous the charge or unfair the venue. Yes, everyone, even a lot of liberals know it’s a sham, a fiasco. They know that they’re as guilty as hell of everything Trump is charged with, keeping classified documents, challenging elections, threatening Secretaries of State to “find” votes so they can win. They put on a whole show of everything Trump is charged with in 2000. What do you think the microscopic inspection of “hanging chads” was all about if not a desperate search for those votes? But they laugh, because they’ve taken over the Justice Department and everything a conservative does is a crime; every crime a liberal commits is simply misunderstood, or generally common practice, not really a crime, of course.

Even when Trump was president, they owned the Justice Department and turned it on him before the confetti from the inauguration hit the ground. They’d been spying on him in a way that made Watergate look like a Three Stooges skit. They forced Nixon out over that silly break-in, but cackle about their phone taps and spies in the administration, because of the magnitude of their crimes. They even got caught and no one had to resign, not even the janitor for heaven’s sake, or even take a few weeks off without pay. They just rolled on, cackling from Martha’s Vineyard.

It doesn’t matter what you think of Trump, it matters what you think of this nation what is was, what it can be. When they see him, they see you. If you don’t recognize the proxy he is, you don’t understand the war you’re in.

Annnnd bingo. Trump himself said it years ago, and he was right:

TrumpInTheWay

Read every word of TL’s superb piece; read it, and get good and fucking pissed off about the hard, ugly truth he’s laying down. Only through that righteous, soul-scalding rage will come the resolve required to stop them from getting away with it—to make them pay at long, long last. Nothing less will suffice.

There they go again

Another day, another “FBI is baffled as to what the motive might have been…” jihadist with big, big plans.

Philadelphia teen charged with planning national terrorist attack
Heavily armed law enforcement officers swarmed the Philadelphia home of a teenager who was plotting to launch a national terrorist attack, authorities said.

The suspect, an unnamed 17-year-old, was in contact with a global terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda and had access to a “significant” number of guns and was building bombs, FBI Special Agent in Charge Jacqueline Maguire said during a Monday press conference.

The teen, who was arrested Friday, “conducted general research” into potential targets that weren’t confined to one location, and they were not just in Philadelphia, she said.

Bold mine, and the only reason I find this story at all interesting. I mean, leaving aside the distinctive aroma of “false-flag SQUIRREL!!™ psy-op to distract from (insert latest BuyEm crime family scandal HERE)” wafting from this, OF COURSE the targets were “not just in Philadelphia.” Really, at this point who the hell would bother with bombing poor old Philly? That would be like bombing Baltimore or Detroit or Mogadishu or something. How could one even tell any of those places had been bombed, and if somebody did bomb one, what would look any different afterwards there?

(Via BCE)

Are you down with the sickness?

Asking for a friend.

Could this sick polity be better personified than by the tragi-comic figure at the head of it: “Joe Biden” along with the Biden family? The scope of this clan’s derangements is almost Shakespearean, lacking only that decorum of personal presentation on view in all the Bard’s plays. King Lear, tormented as he was, would never face-plant after a speech. His daughters had a lot to worry about, but as far as we know, they were not subjected to showering with the big guy. And, there were no known recordings of the Earl of Gloucester smoking crack with naked, under-age girls.

Yet, in the real-life of our nation, “JB’s” troubles mount as each day peels off the calendar. Only the most pathologically credulous might fail to notice the slime trail of bribery lately uncovered by congressional sleuths. “JB” obviously put himself in the service of interests outside the United States, and how is that working out now, notably in Ukraine, where he has levered us into the most perilously half-assed war imaginable — the losing of which will dash what’s left of America’s standing in the world?

One thing that has become clear in this cabbage soup of perfidy, is just how blobbed-up Volodymyr Zelensky was when President Donald Trump made that fateful phone call to him in August of 2019 inquiring about “JB’s” curious doings in Kiev over the years. Did Z follow-up that call immediately with one to Alexander Vindman in the National Security Counsel…who then called Eric Ciaramella of the NSC and CIA? Because, voilà, there was something supernatural about how fast we were off to Impeachment Number One!

And now the not-insane cohort of Americans is prompted to ask whether this war in Ukraine was provoked in any part to cover-up all the nefarious blobbery that preceded it — and not just Hunter and “Joe Biden’s” capers, but the machinations, too, of State Department blobette Victoria Nuland and her retinue in the Kiev embassy, Marie Yovanovitch, George Kent, and many others of the Blob persuasion. A review of all this suggests that “Joe Biden” is what has driven the Democratic Party insane. And now, of course, they can’t seem to get rid of him, like a demon riding them through an endless nightmare.

Sorry, Jim, you’re putting the effect before the cause here. In actuality, it’s very much vice the versa: first, the D卐M☭CRAT Party Criminal Organization went insane, thus burdening us with…Pedo Jaux BuyHim, the witless Usurper In Thief.

Instead, they have bent every last effort to get rid of “JB’s” supposed rival, Donald Trump, who has been inducted into a Lawfare-engineered chamber of horrors designed to slice-and-dice him into a million pieces and strew the shreds into the Potomac for the blue crabs to feed on. One can’t imagine a lamer case than the charges Special Counsel Jack Smith has cooked up against Mr. Trump for verbally expressing doubt about the probity of election 2020. Will Mr. Smith be able to prove any of this, assuming that it is now against the law in America to believe something and say so?

Logically, Mr. Trump’s defense might present reasons why he believed the election was rife with fraud, by introducing evidence of said fraud, of which there is actually an impressive amount now, despite whatever mendacious bullshit you see in The New York Times and on MSNBC. Do you suppose Judge Tanya Chutkan would do anything but allow that evidence to be introduced? And if she disallows it, is that not instantly grounds for a mistrial, since it would prove beyond a reasonable doubt there were good reasons, after all, for Mr. Trump to express what he believed?

On the contrary, I very much suppose that the judge will move Heaven and Earth to disallow that evidence, by hook or by crook. Although I do find your starry-eyed naïveté quite endearing.

Things are getting durned interesting. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FLA) offered a charming plan this week to counter this deceitful DOJ crusade. Here’s how it would work. First, the House Judiciary Committee calls Special Counsel Jack Smith to give transcribed testimony in the next fifteen days regarding the weaponization of the First Amendment. If he refuses, subpoena him. If he ignores the subpoena, the Committee holds him in criminal contempt of Congress, and issues a formal referral to Attorney General Merrick Garland. If Mr. Garland ignores the referral, impeach the SOB forthwith. At the same time, invite Mr. Trump to give testimony to the Committee as a whistleblower, conferring congressional immunity to him among the usual whistleblower protections as stated in law (under 18 U.S. Code 6002 and 6005).

I’ve nothing at all against Gaetz, really, but let’s not anyone be holding our breath in hopes that a single item on that devoutly-to-be-wished list might ever actually come to pass. Yes, current reality bites right enough. But then, that’s reality for ya. Deal with that, or get run over by it.

Hitching a ride

Family learns the hard way that they’d be better off to spit on their asses and slide than relying on a coal-powered EV for their transportation needs.

Family ditches electric truck on drive from Winnipeg to Chicago after charging troubles
Road trip completed with rented gas-powered vehicle, while Ford says charging infrastructure is improving

The owner of a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat with an extended-range battery regrets buying the electric truck after attempting a road trip, only to abandon it and finish the drive with a gas-powered rental vehicle.

Dalbir Bala of La Salle, Man., left the truck in Minnesota last month after he said he tried unsuccessfully to charge the battery at two different charging stations.

“It was really a nightmare frustration for us,” Bala said.

He bought the truck — which is advertised as having a range of 515 kilometres — for $115,000 in January. He spent an additional $16,000 installing chargers at his home and his trucking business, and upgrading his residential electrical panel.

Bala, his wife and three kids left on a trip to visit Wisconsin Dells, Wis., and Chicago for business, on July 27. The truck was fully charged when they left their home just south of Winnipeg, and Bala had plans to stop at level 3 charging stations, which provide faster charges, located along the planned route.

Bala’s first stop was about 350 kilometres south of Winnipeg in Fargo, N.D. He paid $56 to charge his vehicle’s battery from 10 per cent up to 90 per cent.

The trouble started at his next stop in Albertville, Minn., where Bala said the only fast charger brought up a faulty connection message in his truck when he plugged in. He called the number on the charger for help but never got a response.

He headed to another charging station in nearby Elk River, Minn., but a charger there wouldn’t work either, he said.

With only 15 kilometres remaining on his battery and no fast charger within that range, he decided to ditch his Lightning. Bala got it towed to a Ford dealership and the family rented a gas-powered Toyota 4Runner to finish their trip to Chicago.

A nightmare indeed. The ultimate lesson here was expressed in a great movie from many years ago:

There’s another great old movie clip that is quite apropos to this sad story.

Heh. Indeed.

Dark daze

No, nobody is coming for your guns wood stoves charcoal grills air conditioning gas stoves ICE-engine cars incandescent light bulbs. That’s just another silly-assed right-wing Conspiracy Theory, that’s all.

If you like your light bulb, you can’t keep your light bulb. The Biden administration is seeing to that. Well, to be fair you can keep whatever incandescent light bulbs you may currently own, but you won’t be able to replace them. That is because today is the day when the ban on the sale and manufacture of most incandescent light bulbs officially goes into effect. From here on out, your options will likely be limited to LEDs and fluorescents.

The funny thing is that this is not exactly news. People have known about it for years, and although it occasionally popped up in news stories or your local radio host’s “stack of stuff,” no one enforced it. I remember years ago when the word first came out that incandescents were on the hit list; my wife and I went to the local home improvement store and bought a small stockpile. Since there are only two of us and we don’t use that much power, we still have most of them. I have yet to hit the area stores to see if the shelves have been cleaned out by light bulb hoarders.

National Review notes that the Democrats passed the bill to ban the bulbs by phasing them out in 2007, and then-president George W. Bush even signed it into law. Obama tightened up the standards on incandescents to speed the process up. Trump rolled the whole affair back, and Biden resurrected the effort last year.

I recall reading years ago someplace that the ban came about due to GE pressing FederalGovCo hard for one during the Dubya reign of error, saying that incandescents had become so cheap they couldn’t make any real money off ‘em anymore. No, I ain’t gonna go hunt up a supporting link, you’ll just have to take my word for it.

So light ’em if you got ’em. Ads appearing on the back channels of the web advertising incandescent light bulbs should be arriving any day now. DOE enforcement officers may be kicking down the doors of the last mom-and-pop hardware stores to confiscate stockpiles of outlaw bulbs. You could be walking down the sidewalk and hear a whisper from the shadows, “Psst! Hey, buddy. Wanna buy a light bulb?”

Is there some sort of kickback or business deal tied to the ban on incandescent light bulbs? Possibly. I certainly wouldn’t put it past our elected and appointed officials to game the system. MRCTV has reported on Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm’s connections with the EV industry, and we know that the Biden administration is in bed with the solar industry. But overall, I suspect that this is being done because it can be done. This is one more rule, one more law, one way to remind you that there is nothing that the Uniparty can’t control, even if it means something as small as your light bulbs.

Can, and most assuredly will—for exactly as long as we sit still for it and let it happen, and not one micromillisecond longer. Until such time, they’re only just getting started, really.

No reason it can’t be both

And every reason to think that it not only can, but IS.

Recently, in a conversation between friends, the hypothesis was floated: what if all the burning farms, derailed trains, crop failures, etc. etc. etc. etc. ad scary nauseam aren’t really enemy action, but more a competency crisis.

As in these things happen not because big-bad is plotting against us, but because no one knows how to do the things they purportedly do anymore.

Embrace the healing power of “and,” Sarah.

To give an example: Suppose you were hired to haul buckets from a well. But when you actually get the job, you find out, no. Because of inherited systems, and what your superiors expect, you’re supposed to climb down the wall, hand over hand, and bring up water by the cupfull. And there are regulations in the works to make that by the spoonfull. However, you’ll be fully held to account if you can’t provide the amount of water the company is contracted for. You. Personally.

So, you do what you can. You fudge the books. On paper, you’re getting all this water up. Where the water goes no one knows, every one down stream (pardon the pun) from you does the same.

If this sounds like the soviet system? It is. It’s just that the directives don’t come directly and traceably from the government. (Though under the infestation of Bidentia they increasingly do.) Instead, they come from “experts” “scientists” “Studies” “marketing gurus.” And sometimes they are curtailed or made worse by agencies and regulations.

Yes, the managerial or worse “expert” class is the same that furnishes government. These are not your friends, are not meant to be your friends, and are convinced they know much more than you do.

What they know in fact is “how to manage.” But it’s not how to manage anything. They know theory of management (or whatever) derived from no reality (mostly from the writings of Marx, if you dig a little) and pushed ALL THE WAY DOWN.

It’s like — exactly like — being run by “experts” who memorized the Little Red Book. It might please those in power, but it has nothing to do with accomplishing the actual job in front of you.

No coincidence, that. The mistake Sarah makes here is one all too many of us still do: assuming that “their job” is still what the traditional American understanding of that was. Nothing could be further from the truth. Under the present-day Amerika v2.0/Soviet-style system, these people are NOT “public servants.” They do NOT “work for us,” are not in any way, shape, or form answerable to We The People; they are accountable only to their OWN masters in goobermint, whose goals are not ours.

Once you’ve accepted that home truth, it all starts to make a sad, sick sort of sense—another of those things that, once seen, cannot be unseen, shall we say. Bukowski recognized all those years ago what the underlying problem is.

Apologies for y’all being forced to click over to YewToob to learn the answer, but hey, whatchagonna do. New category for this sort of thing, which I fear is gonna be populated all too quickly: Culture Of Incompetence.

Update! Well, whaddya know, after getting the dreaded “Video unavailable” nag-window in the MarsEdit post preview, the vid appears on the actual CF page, at least for me. YMMV, of course and as usual.

Why, as a matter of fact NO, Jason Aldean didn’t “sell out” or “cave”

Faux News did.

Aldean has stood behind his song and its message, and the attempts to cancel it have only made it more popular.

But now some people are reporting that Aldean caved to the woke mob by removing footage of a Black Lives Matter riot from the music video of “Try That in a Small Town.”

“Jason Aldean caved under pressure and removed all the Black Lives Matter footage from his music video despite receiving an outpouring of support from conservatives. So much for that. There are no more heroes,” lamented journalist Ian Miles Cheong. “Gotta have it both ways by pretending to be based for that cash, while folding to the woke in this business if you wanna keep getting invited to the Grammy’s [sic].”

“Jason Aldean quietly edited out the BLM rioters from his ‘controversial’ music video,” Brigitte Gabriel of ACT for America observed. “Very disappointing to see him cave to the woke mob.”

But that’s not what happened at all. According to a report from TMZ, the BLM riot footage used in the Aldean video came from Fox 5 in Atlanta, and the production company behind the video didn’t get the proper legal clearance to use the footage.

From the story Margolis links:

Sources connected to the music video production tell TMZ…back when they were producing the video, the company that produced it reached out to FOX on May 8 and asked for permission to use the 6 seconds of video shot by FOX 5 Atlanta…showing violence at a BLM rally.

We’re told the folks at FOX asked for more information … specifically the lyrics of the song. We’re told the production company sent FOX a link to the song — which was released May 19 — but the protocol was to send the lyrics in writing, which they never did.

Our sources say a week ago, FOX reached out to the production company and asked them to remove the video to avoid any legal action — which was described to us as a “polite ultimatum” — and the production company complied.

And there you have it; as always, the truth will out, though it may take a minute doing so. But also as per usual, the Left will use any lie they must so as to paper over the truth and claim another “victory” for themselves—even as flimsy, easily-disproven a one as this. Back over to Matt for the finisher, and the lesson to be learned, remembered, and always borne closely in mind.

So, this wasn’t about caving to the woke mob. This was Aldean’s production company being sloppy and not getting permission to use the footage included in the video. While there have been plenty of times conservatives have been rightfully disappointed by someone caving to the woke mob, this wasn’t one of those moments, and conservatives shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions.

Exactly, precisely so. They win enough as it is, without us pre-emptively surrendering when there’s no need for it, reflexively throwing one of our own under the bus at their behest. FUCK all that noise.

House Republicans refuse to impeach Biden, go on Vacation

Quoting Sundance as he has said all that needs to be said:

The House Oversight and Government Affairs Committee has a team of lawyers and staff.

Evidence in public shows the sitting president of the United States took payments from foreign business interests in a scheme to use the power of the U.S. government to influence foreign government policy and protect/enhance the business interests of the people who paid him.

To wit…. The Republicans in the House of Representatives have thousands of Joe and Hunter Biden bank records, hundreds of trace records for wire transfer statements and payments, hundreds of reported U.S. Treasury suspicious activity reports, thousands of emails and subpoenaed text messages, audio and video recordings, thousands of photographs, access to the laptop of Hunter Biden and all the content therein, documented witnesses to the activity, testimony under oath corroborating how the Bidens collected tens of millions from foreign nations as unregistered foreign agents which was subsequently laundered through 20 shell companies.

The House committee also has FBI witness reports (FD-1023) from verified and reliable Confidential Human Sources who documented the intent and purpose of the transactions, along with US government attorneys in Philadelphia who investigated and confirmed the substance of the confidential human source allegations therein. Additionally, the Republicans in Congress have sworn affidavits and testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who testified the US attorney in Delaware was working with the U.S. Dept of Justice in Washington DC to bury the results of the investigation.

Lastly, and most recently, the Republicans have a transparently corrupt federal plea agreement rejected as presented by U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika, because the intent of the construct was to protect the son of the President of the United States from legal exposure within the business that provided the material wealth for himself and the family of the President, providing immunity for their Foreign Agent Registration Act violations…

….And the Republican Speaker of the House is letting the Republican controlled Congress go on vacation for the next two months.

All of this,…. ALL OF THIS…. while the former Republican president and current 2024 election front-runner is being railroaded by the same Dept of Justice the Speaker refuses to confront.

If you didn’t understand that the republican party is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the other marxist party, maybe now you will.

If you didn’t understand that the GOPe’s chosen candidates for any office including president are corrupt to the core, completely under the thumb of the deep state, maybe now you will.

The republican party is just as corrupt, more so, than the democrat party. At least the democrats are now telling us they are insane. The R’s are still trying to fool you.

Democrats May Want to Panic About Hunter Biden Now
On Wednesday, Hunter Biden appeared in federal court in Delaware to plead guilty to two misdemeanors for failing to pay millions in federal taxes and to accept a pre-trial diversion agreement on a gun charge, all in exchange for two years probation with no jail time. The sweetheart plea deal that was widely panned by experts fell apart in court and was ultimately rejected by the judge, forcing Hunter Biden to plead “not guilty.”

Suddenly, the president’s son’s “Get Out of Jail Free” card was gone, and the Democrats’ hopes of putting the Hunter Biden saga behind them were dashed. This is certainly going to be a huge problem for Democrats because it means that Hunter’s legal issues are far from over, and that the First Son could in fact face jail time — all while his father runs for president again, and his own Department of Justice faces questions of interfering with the investigation.

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley argues that Democrats ought to be very concerned.

“I think that there is almost a panic setting in with the media. They all want to move on, because the alternative is to recognize one of the most significant corruption scandals in modern history, but it’s something that the media played a role in suppressing. So, they want everyone to move on. But that’s just not going to happen,” Turley said in an appearance on Fox News.

Uh huh, riiiight. Here’s a partial list of things which are really “just not going to happen,” Jonathan.

  • Hunter serving one single day in jail for his myriad crimes
  • His scum-belching “father” being impeached, otherwise removed from office, or “stepping down” of his own free will
  • The Praetorian Media complex entire standing trial for their fully-witting assistance with the Great Hunter Whitewash
  • The DoJ Amerikan Stasi “facing questions,” about anything at all

Know what’s far, far more likely? That Delaware Federal District Judge Maryellen Noreika*—the Trump appointee who just so courageously rejected, then modified, the filthy-dirty deal that guaranteed Hunter immunity from prosecution not just for the crimes he’s already committed, but for all future crimes he may/WILL commit—will find herself quietly schlepped off to her new position as a lower-court judge in Nome, Alaska. Where she will soon afterward be found dead in her office, shot through the back of the head seventeen (17) times—an apparent “suicide” which you won’t be hearing about on the 6 o’clock news.

UNEXPECTED!™

*NOTE: Noreika also dismissed a lawsuit filed against noted liar and all-round pusnutted pencilneck Adam Schiffheel. Apropos of nothing, perhaps, I’m just sayin’

Will Republicans Impeach Biden? Here’s The Full Corruption Timeline
House Republicans are moving closer to an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, according to Speaker Kevin McCarthy as party leaders continue to investigate allegations that the president accepted millions of dollars in bribes from foreign entities, including individuals linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

With the investigation into the alleged corruption of the Biden family — primarily Biden and his son Hunter — heating up, here is a timeline, according to House Republicans and other documentation, of the events that some lawmakers have said may lead to Biden’s impeachment:

Follows, the list, which DW claims is “complete” but, voluminous as it is, is still much too short to be truly all-inclusive. As for “impeachment,” might wanna hold off on that for a bit yet, McCarthy. As I understand it, Miss Lindsey Graham (Uniparty-Swamp) still has several blue-ribbon commissions working tirelessly to “get to the bottom” of the Russia Collusion hoax, the “election”-rigging controversy, and a plethora of other Biden-related scandals.

All of which leaves Ben Weingarten’s recommendation even more pointless and fanciful, if perfectly valid, than it already is.

Start an impeachment inquiry on Joe Biden now — other presidents were impeached for less
Little could be more dangerous than for our commander-in-chief to be corrupted and compromised by foreign powers, including our worst enemies.

There is growing evidence President Joe Biden just may be such a corrupted and compromised figure.

So if House Republicans launch an impeachment inquiry into the uniquely grave offenses in which Biden has been implicated, they will be doing so on uniquely justified grounds.

Certainly, Congresses impeached Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump for far less.

An impeachment inquiry, which would arm House Republicans with the most awesome investigative powers possible, would reveal what the Bidens earned, from whom, for what, what the president knew, when he knew it, what he did about it, if and how he benefited and whether he has lied about it all.

It would also allow Congress to assess whether and to what extent his family’s dealings have influenced his policies — that is, whether he is acting in America’s self-interest or his own.

Oh, I think nobody is in any confusion whatever about that, thanks. Certainly in a better, more just world—on another planet in another dimension in an alternate universe, probably—Bribem would have been impeached, convicted, and tossed out on his corrupt ass long before now. Then again, in that better world he never would have been permitted to slime his way into the White(bag) House in the first damned place.

In this world, poor Weingarten is laboring under an assumption nowhere in evidence: that the Repugnicants actually want to piss off their D卐M☭CRAT partners in crime by impeaching the manifestly corrupt and treasonous Usurper In Thief. I’m beginning to think I should work up a sort of adjunct on the Mike’s Iron Laws page, for listing all these unsupported assumptions people still insist on making.
