Another idea whose time has surely come

Retroactive abortion.

My guess: we’re nearing the end of America’s Christian patience for being snookered, gaslit, lied-to, bamboozled, and mind-fucked, especially as our nation gets gang-raped by the Party of Chaos. Perhaps the solution is to go a little further down the Roe v Wade path and make abortion fully retroactive, a new and innovative way to “cancel” lives whose obnoxious presence in the world is a menace to the human project. Declare the likes of AlMay and NiJank retroactively “unborn,” erasing their privilege to appointed office. The wire coat-hanger probably will not avail in this procedure.

Oh, that’s all right, a decently-zeroed .308 caliber rifle damned sure will.

Meanwhile, several Supreme Court justices are under siege in direct contravention of 18 U.S. Code § 115 — influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a federal official by threatening or injuring a family member. The authorities are permitting angry mobs to moil freely outside the Justices’ houses, while many January Sixth “insurrectionists” rot in the DC jail into a second-year on misdemeanor charges that the authorities refuse to adjudicate — meaning that there is no authority in Washington, DC, only a nameless, lawless simulacrum of it as conceived, say, in the spirit of Franz Kafka.

Hope abides that the November elections might set up a correction to much of this madness. The release on Saturday of Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary 2000 Mules does not provide a whole lot of encouragement about that. The Party of Chaos still has its apparatus of ballot fraud in place all over the country and nobody seems to know what to do about it (though the remedy is pretty simple and straightforward: in-person voting with voter ID).

Please permit me to commend the aforementioned .308 caliber rifle to your attention as a most excellent alternative.

The evidence of drop-box video and smart-phone tracking of the 2020 ballot-stuffers in several states is right there and nobody in American life appears to be equipped to do something about it. The necessary equipment consists of two plum-sized glands generally assigned at birth to persons of the male persuasion. Perhaps, along with refrigerator condensers, the supply line for that is broken.

But first, of course, before the scheduled midterm elections there are roughly six months of nice weather to get through, meaning conditions that are favorable for action in the street, starring the shock troops of Progressive Wokery. Depending on where you live, maybe that’s another reason to feel those old heebie-jeebies creeping in on little spiders’ feet.

Speak for yourself, Bill. What I’m sensing is more of a steadily-increasing disinclination among Real Americans to just sit passively back and put up with such arrant nonsense this go-round, watching helplessly as American cities burn and the police sit on their hands and do nothing. I’m thinking this might possibly be where that good ol’ standby, the .308 caliber rifle, might just be brought into play. We have no effective way to predict when the point will be reached, but sooner or later enough becomes enough, all patience has been exhausted, and sleeping giants will be awakened and rise up in wrath.

“An astonishing but largely forgotten story in Time Magazine explains why there is so much leftist concern today about Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter all Leftists must be killed immediately”

FIFY.

Of all the hysterical leftist reactions to Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter on Monday, MSNBC host Ari Melber’s was easily the most revealing.

“If you own all of Twitter or Facebook or what have you, you don’t have to explain yourself,” he gravely intoned during his show Monday evening. “You don’t even have to be transparent. You could secretly ban one party’s candidate or all of its candidates, all of its nominees, or you could just secretly turn down the reach of their stuff and turn up the reach of something else, and the rest of us might not even find out about it ‘til after the election.”

You don’t say. This was in fact the way the left used social media to win the 2020 presidential election. They even admitted it openly in a stunning yet largely forgotten February 2021 article in Time magazine entitled “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign that Saved the 2020 Election.”

This reveals the real threat of Musk’s Twitter takeover: If it is no longer possible to suppress factual information in the name of rescuing democracy from its alleged enemies, then those enemies (read: Republicans) might start winning more elections. And that is simply unacceptable.

The notable irony here, of course, is that it’s the Left which is actually unacceptable and must of necessity be brought to heel and/or eliminated, to any Heritage American who infinitely prefers liberty, individual rights, and the pure and undefiled Constitution conceived and codified by our Founder Fathers to…well, to whatever you want to call the abominable shitshow that has its jackboots planted squarely across American throats today, choking the life out of all memory of those fine and noble things.

There is but one proper response to be made to the filthy fucking bastards, and we all well know by now what it is, however unsettling the knowledge is for a great many us. Be that as it may, though, reminding ourselves will always be of benefit.

Aaaay-MEN. Nobody has ever expressed it better. To adjust the old lyric sung by Archie and Edith: Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover Andrew Breitbart again. It’s perfectly true, too; the voluble Breitbart, after freeing himself from the chains of his debilitating Leftism, went on to become Team Liberty’s most effective and indomitable champion, a truly fearless leader who was taken from us much too soon. His loss inflicted a crippling injury that may yet prove to be fatal not only to us, but to absolutely everything we hold dear.

I think we can be sure that Andrew wasn’t being facetious or coy when he made his blunt declaration of war against the Left. Check the anger and sincerity that washes over his face, the sudden ferocity ignited in his eyes, the iron-hard set of his jaw in the pregnant pause before he quietly, almost tonelessly exhales the word war. Clearly, this is no feckless rant by some far-out demagogue who’s using rhetoric to inflame the passions of his acolytes, hoping to advance some private agenda bound to purposes known only to himself. Nothing we know about Breitbart—which is quite a lot, actually, given his unyielding integrity; his sophisticated conceptions of the unjust and unfair, as well as his utter abhorrence for them; his utter disinterest in cloaking himself and his beliefs from public view—suggests he’s being a jot or tittle less than fully open and honest, in this as in all else.

My own belief is that Andrew Breitbart, flamboyant and irrepressible as he so famously was, was probably incapable of hiding his light behind a bushel basket so as to evade public scrutiny. And it would be as much as one’s own life was worth to attempt to coerce him into doing so, even momentarily. There was never any hint of modesty, reticence, or reluctance about the man; his attention was intense and tightly focused, his enthusiasm impossible to dampen or defuse. His character, personality, and natural inclination demanded no more nor less of him than that he lay all his cards on the table for everyone to see, and just be damned to any disapprobation that might come his way due to how he decided to play out the hand he had been dealt.

Another thing Breitbart was well-known for was his energetic affection for and support of the Right blogosphere, which led to genuine friendships with several Right-thinking bloggers. I never met the man myself; to my eternal regret, I had been only marginally aware of Breitbart’s swift climb to the most dizzying altitudes of superstar legitimacy until just a short time before his shocking and tragic departure. I deeply wish I had met him, and could’ve enjoyed a few of the long, late-night telephone conversations which were yet another of the habits for which he was notorious. The opportunity is well and truly lost now, alas, with no possibility of renewal.

Elon Musk: as entertaining as Trump?

It’s only been a couple of days since he bought it, but already Elon Musk is making Twitter better. So what might be the next item on the gadfly billionaire’s to-do list?

Heh. Go get ’em, Tiger. If he keeps this up, I might actually have to start paying attention to my Twitter feed for once. More hilarity, iconoclasm and random futzing about here.

Let them burn

Jeremy Carl at AG calls a spade a spade.

It’s difficult for us to acknowledge the enormity of the crime that has been committed against our children because it’s hard for us to acknowledge how deeply we have failed. And it’s hard for us to accept that this crime is taking place with the full support of the leadership of one of America’s major political parties and most of the medical establishment. Indeed, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) banned a group of those skeptical of pediatric transgenderism from even setting up a booth at the latest AAP conference. To acknowledge the depth of the transgender transgression against our children is to stare deep into the void of a society in chaos and moral decay.

The mass grooming of our children into pediatric transgenderism and other confused gender identities is a crime of world-historical proportions, a crime which dare not speak its name.

It is useful to illuminate the scale of what is being done to our children. Even now, after years of propaganda, transgenderism scarcely exists among baby boomers and older—just 0.1-0.2 percent; whereas it is 2.1 percent among adults in Gen Z, a figure that appears to be rising.

How many children are being damaged as this is normalized?

Why aren’t we making criminal referrals to all of these “physicians” prescribing this “gender affirming care?”

These “transgender” children are victims and we must channel our justifiable anger at the medical community, the politicians, the “physicians,” the “educators,” the corporations and, when appropriate, the disturbed parents who have enabled this. We should feel rage toward these people and not their young victims.

There are no “transgender kids.” There are confused kids. There are kids with gender dysphoria. There are depressed kids. There are feminine boys and masculine girls. There are kids who have been groomed and abused by the system, our corporations, our education system, and our media for years and are now deeply damaged. But there are no trans kids. There are only adults who have stolen our children’s innocence.

We lack the language to even describe the level of violation that has taken place. Joe Biden has absurdly labeled transgenderism “the civil rights issue of our time.” He has said there is “no room for compromise” on the issue. If there is no room for compromise with those who support genital mutilation of children than we are truly ruled by demons in human form.

Consider Richard “Rachel” Levine. It is not a coincidence that our first Senate-confirmed transgender federal official was appointed as assistant secretary for health, where of course, he has legal oversight over much of this madness. If Levine were an assistant secretary of commerce, far fewer people would care. The absurdity is the point. The deviance is the point. To have someone suffering from florid mental illness shaming and mocking normality is the point.

“Maybe the target nowadays is not to discover what we are but to refuse what we are,” wrote the French philosopher and left-wing hero Michel Foucault, in his 1982 book, The Subject and Power. In attempting to force their transgender madness on the youngest and and most innocent members of our society, the Left has elevated this principle to a central sacrament in their depraved and false religion.

Actually, I agree completely with Gropey Joe on one thing, albeit from the opposite corner of the ring: there is indeed no room for compromise with depraved shitlib monsters like himself, nor with ANY of his fellow shitlibs. Normal, sane, decent Americans must at long last recognize this crucial truth, stop wasting their time and energy in pursuit of something that is neither achievable nor worthwhile, and get to work immediately to exorcise these demons from the body politic, casting them back into the furnaces of Hell where they belong.

On patience, process, and breaking the cycle of losing

Mike’s Iron Law Numero Uno: Revolution is a process, not an event.

Loser Mentality and Winner Mentality. Those are real things. You win long enough, you figure out what it takes to win and you come to expect it. And you’re comfortable with it.

Oddly, same thing applies to Loser Mentality. Eventually, you prefer losing.

That’s the Right.

The Right is on the verge of a couple big things. I think. I hope.

1. Massive election losses for Democrats. Everyone is focused on Congress but this beating is going to go all the way down to the school board level.

2. A slowly emerging aggressive mentality from the New Right.

That’s a good thing. But there is going to be a frustrating thing for many on the Right. I know it will be frustrating for me. And that’s the Loser Mentality.

And to be clear, I’m for once not calling them losers. I mean, many are. But some are just a product of the Old Right.

If you’re on the Right, limited government and all that, you’ve never seen real wins in your lifetime. Not real wins. Sure, there’s been an election win you’ve celebrated. But if you’re alive to read this, government has never shrunk in your lifetime. Ever.

Which means you’ve grown up a loser. Always losing. Always told to wait for the next election. Always told giving the communists just a little more ground is the right thing to do.

And there’s something else:

Principles. You’ve heard this word endlessly. We can’t do this and we can’t do that and what’s the reason? Principles. It’s always principles.

And this is what I mean when I say I’m not calling them all losers.

Many on the Right believe that.

They’ve simply been raised in a political system where their job is to whine about Democrats and scream about things like “Hypocrisy!” and “Double standards!”. But that’s where it ends for them cause that’s what the Right has always been.

Even suggesting doing more than that is met with the indignant cries of “That’s not who we are!”.

THAT is loser mentality. It’s in our culture on the Right. It’s ingrained by now. Being “conservative” to the Right means whining while we lose. Nothing more.

And as we get BIG election wins, we better find a way to overcome that mentality. We are going to have opportunities we’ve never had before.

The communist won’t be our main enemy. Loser Mentality will.

Maybe so, maybe so. But we damned well better not repeat our habitual mistake of taking our eyes off the Red-menace beanball for even a moment, either. Wanna know what the vector usually is for the Commies to penetrate the defenses of their intended victims and gut them from inside their own walls? The one single thing The Enemy watches and waits for, his biggest opportunity to begin the incremental process that concludes with our utter destruction? The indispensable component in creating, nurturing, and disseminating of the Loser Mentality itself? Relaxation of the foeman’s vigilance against him, that’s what.

Yes, the Loser Mentality must be eradicated, and that right soon, if any tatterdemalion shreds of America That Was are to survive for much longer, their former glory perhaps eventually restored, if only partly. But let’s not forget that the samething holds true for the Commies as well; the question of which existential threat should be serviced first strikes me as akin to the old “the chicken or the egg” paradox, a debate I’ll cheerfully abstain from for the nonce. The main thing, the crucial thing right now is that Team Liberty gets out of bed and starts to move at last. If the freshly awakened Sleeping Giant merely yawns, scratches his ass, and flops back down to resume his slumber, the Loser Mentality will be part of our national character forever, the Red Menace will have defeated us decisively, sending all our forlorn hopes swirling right down the fucking drain.

Sean says one hell of a lot in relatively few words here, and kudos to him for making such a fine job. I particularly like that he eschews any mention of “The Republicans” in favor of “the Right” or “conservatives.” He appears to have reached the same conclusion about the Vichy GOPers as I have: they’re useless, and placing any faith whatsoever in those fake phony frauds is a mug’s game at this late date. To hell with them, sez I. They can all burn to a crispity crunch there for all me, which they definitely will do long before I ever reconsider the idea of taking up with them again.

“Let their rule hold not through me!”

Buppert shares a real Gab-a-palooza of a post.

@WRSA Burn this into your brain.

Solzhenitsyn “When violence bursts onto the peaceful human condition, its face is flush with self-assurance, it displays on its banner and proclaims: “I am Violence! Make way, step aside, I will crush you!” But violence ages swiftly, a few years pass—and it is no longer sure of itself. To prop itself up, to appear decent, it will without fail call forth its ally—Lies. For violence has nothing to cover itself with but lies, and lies can only persist through violence. And it is not every day and not on every shoulder that violence brings down its heavy hand: It demands of us only a submission to lies, a daily participation in deceit—and this suffices as our fealty.

And therein we find, neglected by us, the simplest, the most accessible key to our liberation: a personal non-participation in lies! Even if all is covered by lies, even if all is under their rule, let us resist in the smallest way: Let their rule hold not through me!

And this is the way to break out of the imaginary encirclement of our inertness, the easiest way for us and the most devastating for the lies. For when people renounce lies, lies simply cease to exist. Like parasites, they can only survive when attached to a person.

We are not called upon to step out onto the square and shout out the truth, to say out loud what we think—this is scary, we are not ready. But let us at least refuse to say what we do not think! (…) Our way must be: Never knowingly support lies! Having understood where the lies begin (and many see this line differently)—step back from that gangrenous edge! Let us not glue back the flaking scales of the Ideology, not gather back its crumbling bones, nor patch together its decomposing garb, and we will be amazed how swiftly and helplessly the lies will fall away, and that which is destined to be naked will be exposed as such to the world.”

Stirring sentiments to be sure, but I’m not at all certain I can agree with them entirely. To me, it seems dubious at best that, via the too-easy-by-half expedient of We The People rejecting the lies, said lies “cease to exist.” I’m all for rejecting ’em, defying ’em, ignoring ’em where practical, the whole tool kit for living relatively free under the yoke of tyranny. That said, all the evidence I’ve seen to date indicates that, far from “ceasing to exist,” rejecting the lies en masse only prompts The Power to double down on lying, shouting them in our faces all the more obnoxiously, cramming them into our mouths and down our gullets all the more forcefully.

You truly want the countless brazen lies of The Power to “cease to exist”? Very well, then; there’s but one way that happens: The Power itself must be made to “cease to exist.” Not figuratively, not rhetorically or hypothetically, but literally—corporeally, definitively and for all time. Seems obvious to me that we can only end the lies by ending the purveyor of lies. And as we all are already quite well-aware, there’s only one way to make THAT happen.

Occupied America

The national character has changed, and not for the better.

Over the last two years in America, I’ve witnessed our own forces of evil with incredulity, despair, and rage. Corruption, blasphemy, and absurdity have been accepted by one-half of the electorate as the cost of doing business; as has the fear this acceptance generates. Does anyone actually believe that men change into women and women into men who can give birth, that the Earth is burning, the seas are rising, and we’ll all perish unless we cover our faces with strips of cotton?

No one does. These proclamations are an act of faith, in a new, as yet unnamed religion, and the vehemence with which one proclaims allegiance to these untruths is an exercise no different from any other ecstatic religious oath. They become the Apostles’ Creed of the left, their proclamation committing the adherent physically to their strictures, exactly as the oath taken on induction to the armed services. The inductee is told to “take one step forward,” and once they do he or she can no longer claim, “I misunderstood the instruction.”

Those currently in power insist on masking, but don’t wear masks. They claim the seas are rising and build mansions on the shore. They abhor the expenditure of fossil fuels and fly exclusively in private jets. And all the while half of the country will not name the disease. Why?

Because the cost of challenging this oppressive orthodoxy has, for them, become too high. Upon a possible awakening, they—or more likely their children—might say that the country was occupied. And they would be right.

Gandhi said to the British, you’ve been a guest in our house for too long, it is time for you to leave. He borrowed the line from Oliver Cromwell, and it’s a good one. The left has occupied the high places for too long, promoting dogma even as the occasions for their complaint have decreased (what position is closed to people of color, or women? Inclusion in all levels of the workforce; preference in higher education, a seat in the cockpit, in the Oval Office, in a movie’s cast, or admission to an elite school+? And yet the vehemence of their protests has increased, progressing into blacklisting and even rioting by those claiming to represent “the oppressed.”

Old-time physicians used to speak of the disease “declaring itself.” History teaches that one omnipresent aspect of a coup is acts of reprisal staged by agents provocateurs of the revolutionaries, and blamed on supporters of the legitimate government. It would be a historical anomaly if we were not to see such between now and the midterm elections.

For the disease has declared itself, and we are not now in a culture war, but a nascent coup, with its usual cast of characters. The Bolshevists could have been defeated by a company of soldiers in the suburbs of Moscow, Hitler stopped at Czechoslovakia, and the current horrors confronted at the Minneapolis police station or a meeting of the San Francisco school board. But those tragedies, and our current tragedies, were not just allowed but encouraged to run their course.

Yet I believe there is hope for reason and self-direction.

As you would expect, America’s Governor, DeSantis the Great, comes in for a mention shortly after that statement. As well he should. Mamet, that most rara of show-biz avii—ie, a recovered Leftist—himself, closes the piece with a question I find chilling:

Now, the disease having proclaimed itself and its dangers having become clear, it is time for us all to overcome the occupation by standing up to those tyrannies under which we are not prepared to live.

Time, and long past time. Just one leeeetle problem. These days, can we say with any confidence that there are ANY tyrannies under which the majority of “Americans” are not fully prepared to live? Because from where I’m sitting, they seem to have made themselves perfectly comfortable with pretty much all of ’em, braying incessantly in boastful praise of their precious “‘Murcafreedom!” while they bend over and spread dem cheeks so as to more easily take the latest high, hard one from their Überstaat ALL the way in.

The article’s subhed says “Brave dissenters willing to defy an oppressive orthodoxy are our country’s best hope,” and I can’t really disagree; such defiance was once part of the bedrock of the American nation, and must be nurtured in the breast of any person who intends to live his life as a free man. But how much hope is left to us, really, when we see less and less of defiance out there, and more of compliance?

Just because a population has convinced itself that surrender might be analogous to a kind of victory when contrasted with the horror, devastation, and death of even the most just and righteous war; that even a peace purchased via accepting the bit of subjugation can still be considered a bargain; that pacifism and nonviolence can still be honorable and noble stances even when there are tyrants, despots, and brutal monsters running amok, unopposed and unrestrained, amongst We The People—these things do NOT mean said population isn’t COMPLETELY FULL OF SHIT just the same. Not by a long yard, they don’t. Kinda the other way around, actually.

ANOTHER idea whose time has come

After some understandable doubts, the Cradle of Secession gets into the game.

South Carolina joins call for convention of states
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina on Wednesday joined a growing number of states calling for a convention to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

Gov. Henry McMaster signed into law the bill seeking changes to the Constitution after state lawmakers tailored the call for a convention to putting spending checks on the federal government, curbing the federal government’s jurisdiction and power, and setting term limits for Congress.

About 18 other states, mostly Republican-led and concentrated in the South, have passed similar proposals. Congress needs requests from 34 states to convene a convention of the states.

“Some leaders foresee a ‘runaway’ convention which could propose amendments beyond the scope of the call,” McMaster wrote in his signing statement. “Others prefer that we depend on enlightened future electorates. I see it a little differently. I see the ever-increasing size and scope of the federal government as the larger threat.”

In South Carolina, opponents of the legislation, including Democrats and some Republicans, have argued a convention would mean existing amendments, from those protecting free speech and gun rights to those that prohibited slavery, could be at risk.

Yeah, well, that ain’t necessarily wrong; their concern is legit, nor is it spun from whole cloth. There’s precedent for it, I’m afraid.

The only convention called in nearly 250 years of the nation so far, the one that wrote the current Constitution from scratch, was initially proposed just to make changes to the original government charter of the U.S., the Articles of Confederation.

It all worked out pretty well for us last time, we have to admit. Then again, though, I’m pretty sure Leftards were pretty scarce on the ground here 250 years ago. The pestilential scourges have overrun almost the whole blasted country by now, which ramps up any worries about a runaway Convention exceeding its remit from “Niggling, minor, let’s do this thing” to “Positively terrifying, no way in hell we should even think about doing this thing.” That said, I can’t disagree with McMaster when he says he sees “the ever-increasing size and scope of the federal government as the larger threat.” If it isn’t just yet—to me, it’s abundantly clear that it IS—then it’s going to be very, very soon.

The US government is indeed the gravest, most deadly threat the distinctly American ideals of individual liberty, autonomy, and natural rights have ever faced. The scuttling minions of FederalGovCo long since stopped even pretending they considered themselves in any way bound, limited, or restrained by those concepts or by the Constitution itself. Oh, they’ll don the mask of solemnity and abiding reverence for the governmental framework engineered by our Founders as and when they find it politically helpful, but it’s never more than a pose, a facade, all too obviously so for those who know where and how to look.

Outdated, clapped-out concerns such as Constitutions and Founding Fathers and principles and the like hold no sway over such duplicitous frauds, being no more meaningful to them than the oaths they dishonestly swear when they take office—oaths they never had the slightest intention of even attempting to honor, not a one of them. Both the oath of office and the obscene charade of selfless fealty to the Constitution are only ritual now; mere bagatelles, empty words recited because hey, that’s just the way these things are done. Our antiquated ceremonies have no more relevance to the modern Washington professional politician than the knee breeches, silk stockings, and powdered wigs worn by our forgotten predecessors do. They’re historical artifacts, occasionally amusing, occasionally cumbersome and dull, occasionally of some small interest to more bookish types. In the end, though, they count for nothing.

I don’t expect to see another Constitutional Convention of any kind take place in my lifetime, or at all, actually. I’d love to, but I won’t. What we have here is just another attempt at finding some non-violent way to reconcile differences which can’t BE reconciled, to bridge what was at one time a small and shallow gap, now broadened and deepened to such astounding proportions it has become a yawning chasm far too vast to be spanned by mortal men. None but the hand of the Almighty Himself could hope to accomplish a task so great now, and even He might break a sweat in the doing of it. Frankly, our system is now too creaky, too arthritic, too fundamentally dysfunctional to pass any more Constitutional amendments via any method, or so I suspect. Which might be for the best, considering some of the folderol we’ve had foisted on us by our political “leaders” over the years.

I do love that tidbit about how the Con-Con movement is “concentrated in the South,” which is exactly as it should be. A feisty, rebellious sense of independence has always been a defining characteristic cherished by all us Sons of the Southland, a chord that rings even more strongly in the Palmetto State than most places. Damned Yankees; riders of the west-central Plains; hard-working denizens of the Midwestern Farm Belt; West Coast fruits, flakes, and nuts—long after these other American breeds have put thoughts of their American birthright of freedom out of their minds and hearts to embrace whatever godawful cradle-to-grave thugocracy or touchy-feely, faddish New Age Superstate they wind up cursing themselves with, Southerners will still be sitting around the campfire passing a Mason jar of corn squeezin’s or some good 100-proof peach brandy around, discussing the meaning of our Constitution, its protections, demands, and strictures, and our own noble history until way late into the night.

To us, that stuff DOES still matter—a great deal it does, and always will far as we’re concerned, and just right straight to Hell with what others think. However malnourished and sickly a state the signifiers of our American heritage have been allowed to lapse into, we fully intend to have ’em all back too, if’n the good Lord’s willin’ and the crick don’t rise. So if the meddlers, sob-sisters, bluenoses, and kleptocrats of FederalGovCo really think they want a fight, Southerners will be perfectly happy to give ’em one—another one, that is. We’ll all just see who comes out on top this time around. Or, in the unforgettable words of the great sci-fi author and Artistic Progeny of Heinlein H Beam Piper: You know, Yves, he’ll do it. He doesn’t know how impossible this is, and when we try to tell him, he won’t believe us. There’s no stopping a guy like that.

American bygones, American revival

America’s once-robust old stock has been diluted beyond all recognition, what had been a savory and nourishing stew watered down to thin, flavorless pap.

The point is, this USED to be America, where Americans didn’t take lies and false accusations from punks just because they wore a badge. I know there’s cops out there thinking that they’d thump and cuff anyone who tried that sort of thing, but that’s only because they haven’t had to deal with real Americans for a long, long time, if ever. While the cops used to be tougher, so were the Americans with whom they dealt.

The downside of mass immigration since the 1960s, is we’ve imported a lot of compliance-oriented people and watered down the original stock. People from other countries, who lived in lawless nations, who could be killed and dumped by any number of government goons, don’t understand a nation that relies on the rule of law, they only know how to comply and they’ve infected the American population and that’s influenced the American police force.

Real Americans are massively jealous of their freedom and real American cops respect the fact that the citizens have rights. Where that’s gone wrong is largely with the citizens themselves. When I’ve gotten a ticket for seat belts, or some imagined moving violation, I’ve taken the cops to court. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but it’s the fight that matters. It’s the injustice that cannot be shrugged at and passed by. When the cops pull me over, I hand them the registration, proof of insurance and my driver’s license. I don’t talk, unless it’s to argue, but that argument is better done in court than the side of the road.

I understand that a lot of people are going to recall the cops in the 1960s being pretty brutal. Yes, of course, but not with regular citizens, unless they were known trouble-makers. One could be an upstanding member of the community and get something done by fighting back. If you were a known pedophile, they might just find your poor body beside the road, the victim of a hit and run. Today, we tolerate pedophiles in the Oval Office and the Supreme Court and I’m not necessarily talking about Ketanji Brown-Jackson.

I’m not trying to aggrandize myself, or my family, I’m just trying to give personal experiences so the reader will know that I’m not suggesting things to be done, that I wouldn’t or haven’t already done, or witnessed being done. When the cops were right, when I’d done something wrong, generally out of mischief, I owned up to it and took the beating, but when I was innocent, it was a different matter.

What I’m trying to point out is that we ALL used to be that way, everyone I knew. That was America to me, a whole nation of people whose first instinct was to demand freedom, demand justice, take a beating if it gave one the opportunity to tell them to pound sand. When I look at all that went on during the lockdowns, I just don’t understand it. In-N-Out Burger joints never caved, never made their customers wear masks and when California told them they had to ask for vaccination status, they told them to pound sand. That was an American act of hostility toward injustice. I believe a lot of Americans have forgotten what it means to be American, to be hostile toward authority when it’s doing some injustice, cooperative when they’re pursuing justice. Understanding the difference used to be common sense.

Our two nations are not compatible. For those who demonstrate and encourage sexual deviancy in children as young as three years old are not compatible with those who find it firstly criminal, but also offensive, cruel, sadistic and damaging can’t live together. They can’t share the same laws, the same schools, the same government or treasury. They can’t enjoy the same television programs or sports activities. The openness with which this sexual perversion of little more than toddlers takes place is already a national disgrace, but that disgrace belongs to the Americans who’ve forgotten how to be Americans. It’s a lost art. For heaven’s sake, revive it.

Heaven’s sake? No, for ALL of our sakes. Heaven will be the reward for having brought America back into the warm light of righteousness once more, should the struggle to restore our precious liberty end in success.

“A Handgun Against an Army”

This deathless Mike Vanderboegh essay still pops back up now and again; I’ve linked to it three or four times since it first appeared myself, and almost certainly will again.

A friend of mine owns an instructive piece of history. It is a small, crude pistol [see the image at the top of this post], made out of sheet-metal stampings by the U.S. during World War II. While it fits in the palm of your hand and is a slowly-operated, single-shot arm, its powerful .45 caliber projectile will kill a man with brutal efficiency. With a short, smooth-bore barrel it can reliably kill only at point blank ranges, so its use requires the will (brave or foolhardy) to get in close before firing. It is less a soldier’s weapon than an assassin’s tool. The U.S. manufactured them by the millions during the war, not for our own forces but rather to be air-dropped behind German lines to resistance units in occupied Europe and Asia. They cost exactly two dollars and ten cents to make.

Crude and slow (the fired case had to be knocked out of the breech by means of a little wooden dowel, a fresh round procured from the storage area in the grip and then manually reloaded and cocked. It was so wildly inaccurate it couldn’t hit the broad side of a French barn at 50 meters, but to the Resistance man or woman who had no firearm it still looked pretty darn good.

The theory and practice of it was this: First, you approach a German sentry with your little pistol hidden in your coat pocket and, with Academy-award sincerity, ask him for a light for your cigarette (or the time the train leaves for Paris, or if he wants to buy some non-army-issue food or a half-hour with your “sister”). When he smiles and casts a nervous glance down the street to see where his Sergeant is, you blow his brains out with your first and only shot, then take his rifle and ammunition. Your next few minutes are occupied with “getting out of Dodge,” for such critters generally go around in packs. After that (assuming you evade your late benefactor’s friends) you keep the rifle and hand your little pistol to a fellow Resistance fighter so he can go get his own rifle.

Or, maybe, you then use your rifle to get a submachine gun from the Sergeant when he comes running. Perhaps you get very lucky and pick up a light machine gun, two boxes of ammunition and a haversack of hand grenades. With two of the grenades and the expenditure of a half-a-box of ammunition at a hasty roadblock the next night, you and your friends get a truck full of arms and ammunition. (Some of the cargo is sticky with “Boche” blood, but you don’t mind, not terribly.)

Pretty soon you’ve got the best armed little maquis unit in your part of France, all from that cheap little pistol and the guts to use it. (One wonders if the current political elite’s opposition to so-called “Saturday Night Specials” doesn’t come from some adopted racial memory of previous failed tyrants. For even cheap little pistols are a threat to oppressive regimes.)

They called the pistol the “Liberator.” Not a bad name, all in all.

It’s a perfect name, actually. If you haven’t yet read this important work, be sure you don’t fail to now. One of Mike’s most stirring, poignant passages:

The tyrant must be met at the door when he appears. At your door, or mine, wherever he shows his bloody appetite. He must be met by the pistol which can defeat an army. He must be met at every door, for in truth we outnumber him and his henchmen.

It matters not whether they call themselves Communists or Nazis or something else. It matters not what flag they fly, nor what uniform they wear. It matters not what excuses they give for stealing your liberty, your property or your life. “By their works ye shall know them.” The time is late. Those who once had trouble reading the hour on their watches have no trouble seeing by the glare of the fire at Waco. Few of us realized at the time that the Constitution was burning right along with the Davidians.

Now we know better.

We have had the advantage of that horrible illumination for more than fifteen years now — fifteen years in which the rule of law and the battered old parchment of our beloved Constitution have been smashed, shredded and besmirched by the Clintonistas. In this process they have been aided and abetted by the cowardly incompetence and venal avarice of the Republican party. They have forgotten Daniel Webster’s warning: “Miracles do not cluster. Hold on to the Constitution of the United States of America and the Republic for which it stands — what has happened once in six thousand years may never happen again. Hold on to your Constitution, for if the American Constitution shall fail there will be anarchy throughout the world.”

Stirring, yes, although perhaps not in precisely the same way as when it was first published on Vanderboegh’s old site, Sipsey Street Irregulars, so many years ago; there’s a certain bitter flavor to it now as well, as we’ve been content to just sit idly back and watch so very much of what Mike warned us about come to pass, washing over us like the most dismal of tides. One final excerpt:

As a Christian, I cannot fear my own death, but rather I am commanded by my God to live in such a way as to make my death a homecoming. That this makes me incomprehensible and threatening to those who wish to be my masters is something I can do little about. I would suggest to them that they not poke their godless, tyrannical noses down my alley. As the coiled rattlesnake flag of the Revolution bluntly stated: “Don’t Tread on Me!” Or, as our state motto here in Alabama declares: “We Dare Defend Our Rights.”

But can a handgun defeat an army? Yes. It remains to be seen whether the struggle of our generation against the tyrants of our day in the first decade of the 21st Century will bring a restoration of liberty and the rule of law or a dark and bloody descent into chaos and slavery.

If it is to be the former, I will meet you at the new Yorktown.

If it is to be the latter, I will meet you at Masada.

But I will not be a slave.

Mike Vanderboegh died on his feet and not his knees—something that, as America That Was slips deeper into darkness and our time drip-drip-drips away, becomes more and more difficult to do. He was a skilled writer, and a passionate advocate for his nation, its proud history, and its Constitution. He was also a for-real, genuine Warrior, in all the best senses of the word. He left behind a mighty legacy for True Patriots and Freemen to profit from.

May you forever be at peace, my friend, bless your valiant soul.

Trust them not

For they are unworthy of such—faithless, manipulative, and bereft of moral rectitude.

Over the years, this humble blog has railed against the flood of lies discharged by our woke masters in government, and in the media, both legacy and new. It has become something of an obsession with your humble blogger; at the risk of becoming a one-note Johnny bore, I shall continue to rail.

Sorry, but, hey, it’s free of charge.

Our masters tell us so many lies that it proves difficult to pick one, or two, or three, or…whatever, to discuss. I will give it a try.

As you can see from my writings over the years on Putin and Russia, I have not become a Putin Puppet. In my view, however, Putin’s Moscow ranks as a second- or even third-tier threat to the US and the West; it certainly comes well behind the number two threat Beijing, and WELL BEHINDfar, far behind, the number one threat to our civilization, the Wokesters within our societies busily destroying our institutions and the underpinnings of our national identity and culture.
Amen to that.

None of us, outside of the top-most circles of Ukraine and Russia, has any good idea of events in the Ukraine-Russia war. What we, John Q. Public, know know proves very basic, VERY basic, indeed.

We know Russia has invaded Ukraine. We think we know that the invasion did not seem well-planned or executed. We know that this invasion, as true with any other of which I can think, has caused suffering and death to the people invaded, and, yes, by the way, I include in my list of invasions that transpiring along our own southern border. In the Ukraine case, we simply don’t know how much suffering and death; we must take the media’s “massacre” accounts with a fistful of salt. Look. Face it. It’s Russia; it’s Ukraine; it’s Eastern Europe. History shows that warfare there, though, of course, not there only, does not adhere to the Marquess of Queensberry Rules, much less to the Geneva Convention. I have no trouble believing, knowing (?), that innocent civilians or surrendering soldiers can and do face harsh treatment and even death at the hands of that day’s victors–and that the next day’s victors will reciprocate. I have no problem knowing that Russians and Ukrainians can act in a brutal fashion. Read about the two world wars, the Russian civil war, the Soviet wars with Poland and Finland, the fate of Napoleon’s army in Russia, etc., and you can easily imagine brutality on the fields of battle and in the cities of that region. The Katyn Forrest massacre comes readily to mind.

On Ukraine, my big problem, and I assume (Right? Wrong?) that of many others, arises from the lack of objective reporting; the reports, for example, on Russian atrocities in Ukraine seem much like those in British, French, and American newspapers of German atrocities in Belgium during WWI. Just a little too convenient. The narrative from Ukraine appears calculated, edited, censored, and massaged to cause maximum outrage in the audience, and, of course, heighten US and international support for involvement in this war. This narrative looks like, well, a narrative, rarely a good thing.

I don’t like this manipulation, especially given the record of those doing it. We, for example, have a “leadership,” illegitimately occupying the White House, which has not come clean about the corrupt Biden family’s ties to Ukraine and China. We have a media, old and new, yet to apologize for its lies re Trump-Putin collusion, quid-pro-quo, Hunter’s laptop, Rittenhouse, January 6, the grifters of BLM, Kavenaugh, Covid-19, climate change, the 2020 elections, and on, and on, and on. I generally don’t believe what comes from these liars who wish ill on Western Civilization, and work to destroy it.

Nor should you, nor should any of us. No impartial, reasonably intelligent American who didn’t spend the last five-six years fathoms deep in Rip Van Winkle-like slumber could possibly be taken in by the utter nonsense we have shoveled at us all day, every day. Bad enough that our mass media has proven beyond all doubt that it can no longer be relied upon for honest, factual journalism; what moves the needle of our current situation from Unpleasant all the way into the Dangerous red zone is that the deceivers, multitudes of them, are also embedded at every level of government, rendering that wholly untrustworthy as well. Which leaves out entirely the GloboHomoCorp megaplex, consisting of pretty much every American business enterprise not owned and operated by the Ma and Pa Kettle types who first started the thing. Add it all up and what you end up with is big-D Danger well beyond the merely ordinary variety—Danger so extreme humanity has only rarely seen the like of it.

Diplomad closes his post thusly: Why trust anything these people say? Why indeed. In truth, none but an irredeemable fool would. Or could. Or, y’know, should. And that’s a big, big problem, for all of us.

A government so quick to deceive its own people—whose first impulse is never to come clean but to lie, obfuscate or conceal—is a government that’s well into the death throes, whether or not it’s aware of it. Such a government will not, can not, survive for much longer, for reasons that aren’t terribly difficult to discern. For one thing, the people will quickly come to regard it, its officers, and all its works with unbridled contempt. As government scrambles ever more frantically to exert ever more authority over its ever more casually scornful and restive subjects, ever more of those subjects will just ignore it to the greatest extent they possibly can: sidestepping whatever of its edicts and decrees is practicable, complying only grudgingly with those they can’t evade. None of these ratios—the gradual crumbling of governmental integrity, the number of people aware of it, the slow-burn radicalization from “mass dissatisfaction” to “mass resistance” to “mass civil disorder”—are static; all will only increase, until the government falls.

As a deceitful government’s “elected” officials, appointees, and hirelings try to wield ever greater authority over the peasantry, the government will ironically find that very authority trickling through its fingers and away like a fistful of water. The more fiercely the tyrant struggles to maintain his grip on power, the more speedily power will be lost to him. Such displays of government’s haplessness and ineffectuality will only heighten the people’s contempt—another deadly irony that portends the awful fate stalking the reeling, tottering system like a jungle predator does a field mouse.

A like irony attends the untrustworthy government’s attempts to hide its affairs and intentions from Da Peepul: the more corruption they try to conceal, the more they wind up revealing instead. A policy of openness and full disclosure, or at least as full as can reasonably be expected these days without exposing legitimate state secrets to the squinty scrutiny of foreign adversaries, would serve both the government and its people far better. Unfortunately, the deceitful government can’t see this, and its subjects no longer expect it, assuming they ever did.

Breaking faith with its people is a self-inflicted injury that, as the crisis spirals out of all control, will eventually reach a stage beyond which a government’s collapse can no longer be forestalled. Collapse and ruin are the ineluctable byproducts of societal depravity, decay, and dissipation, hastened along by narcissism and selfishness. All the factors feed off of one another, each helping to accelerate and intensify the rest. It’s difficult at best to determine from the inside how far one’s country has traveled along the path to destruction. One can only try to ride the whole process out, and hope he’ll survive the trip.

The Great Dilemma

ZMan outlines it for us.

This is a debate that has haunted conservative politics and it was something that haunted radical politics until the 20th century. Conservatives never solved the problem and it eventually ruined them. The reason is they committed to participating in a political system that leaves no room for conservative ideas. Once you sign onto the long list of left-wing taboos and mob rule, there is nothing worth defending. Conservatives became the tax collectors of liberal democracy.

For dissidents this is a bigger challenge. There is no solution to the problems of liberal democracy at the ballot box. Most Americans have no representation in politics as both parties are committed to destroying normal life. This fall the Republicans will win the election and everything will get worse. Whatever promises they have made will be broken on day one. They will set about giving the oligarchs whatever they want while pretending they are doing their voters a favor.

Even knowing this, people want to do something. This is even more true for dissidents who are more political than normal people. The reason you end up on this side of the great divide is you have engaged with politics and learned from it. Walking away entirely seems like quitting to most people. On the other hand, participating just empowers the people who want you dead. This is the dilemma that ruined the conservative movement and haunts the dissident right.

This leaves only one option and that is building a counter culture. Channeling activism into building a parallel society bridges the gap between ideas and activism. In a way, this is what we see globally with the alliance of non-Western powers. China, Russia and India want to create a parallel system that can challenging America. The same thing has to happen domestically. It is a bigger challenge for obvious reasons, but parallelism is the only way forward short of revolution.

Which would seem to indicate that there is in fact NOT “only one option,” would it not? My pickery of nits notwithstanding, in Z’s next post we’re reminded of another crucial truth.

Probably the most interesting race thus far is in Ohio, where you have three flavors of populists running for the open Senate seat. There is an old boomer running as if it is 1985 but he is rich and has party support. There is Josh Mandel, who will quickly morph into Lindsey Graham if elected. Then there is J.D. Vance, who is trying to run as a post-Trump populist. It is a three-way race at the moment and it reflects the currents within the Republican Party.

Gibbons will probably win the primary mostly because old white people will never come to terms with current realty. Instead, they will cling to the civic nationalist fantasy of voting our way out of the problems of democracy. The fact that just as many are easily fooled by Mandel hammers home this point. Both are creatures of the legacy talk radio culture. Only the actuarial tables will fix this problem within the Republican electorate.

None of this is to suggest that the Republican Party is about to become representative of the people who vote for it. That will never be allowed. The point of the party is to make sure the majority population has no representation in government. If that arrangement is threatened, then it is mail-in voting for every state. It is just increasingly difficult to keep the old grift going. The old Red Team versus Blue Team dynamic is collapsing.

We are at the start of a volatile period in politics. The great tide of discontent that will sweep the primaries this autumn will bring in all sorts of people. The war between the ruling class and the people will shift to Washington, where there will be more than a few Marjorie Taylor Greene types roaming the halls of Congress. The main result will be the final purge of the neocons from the Republican side. The process that began in the 1960’s is about to come full circle.

It’s high time the war between the Ruling Class and the people DID shift to Mordor on the Potomac, if you ask me. It should have been there all along, actually, and ought never to be allowed to get loose amongst the general population again. Think of it as what Jefferson (or John Philpot Curran, or whothehellever) was getting at with his insightful estimation of the price of freedom.

As the frog boils

Government of the People, by the People, and for the People has now perished from this Earth, to be replaced by government by Imperial Decree.

BIDEN BYPASSES CONGRESS & CONSTITUTION – ISSUES NEW GUN CONTROL DICTATE WITH COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR 2ND AMENDMENT
On Monday, the White House announced a new crack down on American’s Second Amendment rights — entirely bypassing Congress — and ruling by executive decree instead. The new rule attacks individuals who build their own firearms at home.

In response to Biden’s new dictate, Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky lambasted the president’s decision to bypass Congress and attack one of the key components of the Second Amendment.

The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to prevent you from making your own firearm. This a fact that has been recognized for 200+ years. Also, Article 1, Section 1 (literally the first operative sentence in the Constitution) says Congress makes law, not POTUS!

According to the new dictate, “this final rule bans the business of manufacturing the most accessible ghost guns, such as unserialized “buy build shoot” kits that individuals can buy online or at a store without a background check and can readily assemble into a working firearm in as little as 30 minutes with equipment they have at home.”

The rule also dictates that gun stores can no longer destroy their records after 20 years. These stores must turn over lists to the ATF of every gun purchased at their store so the ATF can maintain a running database of American gun owners.

Second, the final rule requires federally licensed firearms dealers to retain key records until they shut down their business or licensed activity. At that time, these dealers must transfer the records to ATF, just as they are currently required to do at the end of licensed activity. Previously, these dealers were permitted to destroy most records after 20 years, making it harder for law enforcement to trace firearms found at crime scenes.

It is unclear how this administration will treat the millions of gun owners who currently have these custom firearms in their homes.

Think so? Because it sure seems obvious enough to me.

This blatantly unlawful arrogation of power by whoever has his hand up Biden’s shirt making his mouth move serves to underscore what I always say: If you have to apply to government for a license or permit in order to exercise some putative “right” or other, it isn’t a right at all; by definition, it is a privilege.

Burn it down

I’ve called a bajillion and three times for the FBI to be dismantled root, branch, and bough, but never thought of this particular angle before.

Abolish the FBI or Face an American Putin

Hm. Interesting notion, I must say. I also have to say that, if the American Pooty-poot remained consistent with Roosha’s version—by which I mean he was equally devoted to advancing his country’s interests, to increasing its influence, wealth, and power by any and every means, bar none—well, it would be such a refreshing change of pace compared to what the Shadow Men yanking Biden’s strings and making his mouth move have been doing right along, I could probably live with it.

Vladimir Putin, not unlike our current FBI Director Christopher Wray, got his start as a “reformer” known for mouthing reform slogans to parry public outrage over the many abuses of the national police organization. Like Putin, Wray has used the smokescreen of cosmetic reforms to amass great power at the expense of the democratic process he is supposed to protect. The FBI has proven over and over again to be totally immune to reform. It consistently fails to punish employees for violating the rules, so changing those rules has no effect.

The existence of the FBI has had no effect on the crime wave plaguing America. Contrary to the many dramatized depictions of the FBI, the Bureau solves an insignificant minority of crimes in America.

The FBI is more than a dysfunctional agency. If it merely failed to fulfill its mandate, it might be a tolerable nuisance. Instead, the FBI has proven to be the single greatest threat to the very Constitution it is supposed to serve and protect. Its domestic spying program and its network of unaccountable informants lead to few bonafide criminal cases but many wholesale violations of constitutional principles.

The FBI is and will forever remain exactly what it’s been since J Edgar’s day: a rogue, unmanageable menace to absolutely everything the Founders intended and hoped for America to become. As the author contends, it cannot be reformed. It can only be submitted to…or destroyed utterly. As with so many other of the perplexing issues that confront us today, it really is that simple; one or the other, there is no third way here.

How to fix a broken nation

Kevin Downey does a fairly comprehensive yet concise review of events over the last cpl-three years, from which a conclusion is drawn.

Real Americans have had it.

We watched as voters handed Virginia Democrats a pounding in last November’s elections. Long Island, solidly blue at one point, cleaned house and voted for Republicans in four out of four races on the same day Virginia cleaned house. Kenosha, Wisc., home to the riots over the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a black guy who was retrieving a knife from his car after being stopped by cops for sexually assaulting an ex-girlfriend, voted red Tuesday in races from the county executive down to school board seats. Nearby Waukesha and Menomonee Falls followed suit. The writing is on the wall: go woke and real Americans will send you to your room.

The Daily Wire is in combat mode. Not only did they get into the razor business to compete against the wokesters at Harry’s, but they also have their sights set on Disney.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an anti-grooming law in Florida. Tennessee is looking to ban obscene materials for all school kids through 12th grade, and Georgia has passed several measures that help parents protect their kids.

Now is the time for conservatives to get LOUD. The battle against Marxism is ON, and it’s going very well for us. Now is the time to step on the gas, NOT the brakes. It’s time for all of us to go to a school board meeting, demand answers, and stop voting for RINOs like Mitt Romney.

That’s all fine and well if it makes you feel better, Kev, and more power to ya; can’t do any harm to try it while we all wait for the shooting to start, I suppose, except insofar as it could distract us from important activities like loading mags, zeroing rifles, and establishing interlocking fields of fire in the front yard. As far gone as we are along the road to ruin at this point, though, I’m afraid your well-intended suggestions will fall well short of being equal to the task before us.

I have to agree that Real Americans have had it. According to the available evidence, more and more of them are becoming more and more fed up with each new outrage, insult, or indecency. The pertinent question is whether enough of us are fed up enough to overcome our natural reluctance to do the fearsome, shattering things which, deep down, we all know will almost certainly have be done. The forecast, long term and short both, is for unpleasant and uncertain conditions, with a strong chance of calamity and ruin afterwards.

Don’t despair quite yet, though; Padraig Martin says there’s a better, easier, less destructive way to go about it.

I get it all the time – “Fight!,” “Hang the traitors!,” and “Real Patriots are ready to shoot!” I get complaints that I am some kind of wimp because I do not embrace a violent assault on the vile US Government. About 50% of those making such posts and comments are Feds. They are trying to ensnare you in a conspiracy trap. About 50% are legitimate, well intentioned individuals of varying levels of mental stability who believe fighting is the only way out of our current mess. Let me clear the record: whereas I do not believe things will fix themselves and a fight may eventually occur, no mater how successful your fight, you need a plan for the post-revolution you seek.

I am not only a student of insurgencies, having done my graduate thesis on how to build successful revolutions using the Iranian model, but I also spent almost 20 years working on the logistics of supporting insurgent operations. I know what is needed. My favorite aspect of insurgencies are the comms necessary to build and guide them. Revolutiomary Propaganda is crucial to support. Thanks to the US Government, I have worked in this field for decades. You – random sincere Gab Patriot – have done nothing for the revolt you seek.

There has NEVER been a successful revolution without a parallel system. Whether it was the United States of 1775, Ireland 1918, Iran 1978, or Romania 1992, you will never succeed without a “Shadow System.” Economically, Torba is right. You need to build a parallel economy. You need a parallel legal structure… parallel education system…parallel monetary structure…you need to develop systems necessary to replace the collapsed state after you win. If you offer no alternative, no one will join your fight. It will die at the Pale.

How do you achieve this? Build.

Read the rest of it, as you already knew I was going to say, then read this astute followup (“A great place to raise a child does not come cheap”—well put, Simon) from the comments section too. WRSA is understating the case by calling it “food for thought.”

Update! Sundance heartily seconds the notion that Real Americans have had it and are fed up, but then scampers waaaay on out into deep left field with it.

Folks, the need for control is a reaction to fear. The people in “fly over” country have joined with the coastal working class. People are furious right now, from the guy that guides hunters, to the truck drivers, hammer swingers, mayors of towns and cities, and even state senators, legislatures and newly awakened citizens who are demanding action against this leftist onslaught.

The political pendulum has never, in the history of humanity, stayed on one side of a swing. The back lash from overreach has always been proportionate to how far off center it went before coming back…and right now we’re staring at a whole hell of a lot of the country (about 80-90% of the land mass, as well as about 70% of the population) that is fed up. DC knows they are in a tenuous place, and they do not want that assembly deciding the only way to fix it is to burn it down and start over. They are doing everything in their power, and beyond, to control and avoid it.

Okay, where to begin.

  • The need for control is a reaction to fear: The need for control CAN BE, and sometimes IS, a reaction to fear. It can also be the product of greed; egotism; feelings of inadequacy or inferiority; or a sadistic craving to have others bow and scrape before them
  • The people in “fly over” country have joined with the coastal working class: Oh, they have? Based on what, exactly? Certainly, none of them has contacted me to inquire about any “joining.” Heck, how sure are we that there even IS a “coastal working class” anymore?
  • …mayors of towns and cities, and even state senators, legislatures: Except the numerous ones who are fully on board with the Uniparty program, if not actively helping to implement the Agenda

I’m more or less okay with the pendulum/backswing analysis, hoary old cliche that it is, and won’t raise a quibble with the “80-90% of the land mass” proposition either. But…”70% of the population”? Dude, SRSLY?!? Even Limbaugh didn’t go that far with his oft-repeated rose-colored mantra that the US is “a conservative-majority nation”—a contention that, as time went on and the country’s death spiral into Leftism deepened and accelerated, required a more desperate and far-flung search for smaller and smaller nuggets of evidence to prop it up. I mean, c’mon: if 70% of us really were fed up with what, after all, is almost entirely the perfectly predictable end result of Democrat/Leftist policy and ideology, no Democrat elected official could safely open his front door to poke his head out for a brief look around without having to take to his heels and fly for his very life from the angry mob in hot pursuit of him.

70%?!? Hell, even the most vain and/or unrealistic Democrat office-seeker could only throw up his hands in abject hopelessness and withdraw under the burden of such a crushing weight of political opinion. If that number was anything like accurate, election theft and fraud would be a thing of the past, as dead as the dodo. Hell, the Democrat Party its own self would be eligible for federal protection as an endangered species, with the odds of it surviving for long being inversely proportional to said 70%.

Sure, it would be nice to think it was real, better yet if it WAS. Alas for us all, it ain’t. It just ain’t. There’s optimism, then there’s over-optimism, then self-deception, then balls-out delusion. Where Sundance might have come across that 70% blue-sky of his I haven’t the merest clue. Wherever it might have been, though, he really ought to take it back there and leave the damned thing.

FREEDOM!!!

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
Daniel Webster

“When I was young I was depressed all the time. But suicide no longer seemed a possibility in my life. At my age there was very little left to kill.”
Charles Bukowski

“A slave is one who waits for someone to come and free him.”

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
Frank Zappa

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant in case of necessity can no more be doubted than to hang a robber, or kill a flea.”

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
