Get up, stand up

I will not comply, Joe, and you can go fuck yourself.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Joe Biden Wednesday afternoon, telling him his unsecure border policies have “facilitated” the spread of COVID-19 in the United States, and until the border is secure, he doesn’t want to “hear a blip about COVID” from him.

Biden on Tuesday singled out the Republican governors of Florida and Texas over their handling of COVID, and told them to “get out of the way” if they’re not willing to help.

In response, DeSantis told Biden he would be happy to stand (in) his way to protect the rights of Floridians.

“This is a guy who ran for president saying he was going to—quote—shut down the virus,” DeSantis said during a news conference in Panama City. “What has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide open southern border. You have hundreds of thousands of people pouring across every month.”

The governor pointed out that illegal aliens are coming across the border not only from Mexico, but from over one hundred countries around the world.

“Not only are they letting them through, but their farming them out all across our communities across this country,” he said. “You think they’re worried about COVID?” he scoffed. “Of course not.”

DeSantis added that whatever new variants have developed in countries around the world, “they’re coming across that southern border. So he’s not shutting down the virus, he’s helping to facilitate it in our country.”

The Florida governor also blasted the Biden regime for wanting to force young school children to wear masks, and for recommending that parents wear masks at home around their own children.

“This is insane,” he said.

DeSantis also hit Biden for supporting vaccine passports.

“We said from the beginning in Florida, we’re going to make it available for all, but we’re not going to mandate it on anybody,” he said.

“His [Biden’s] vision is—just like in New York City—restaurants should ban young kids from being able to go in because they’re not eligible for vaccination, and law-abiding citizens have to produce proof of their medical records just to go to the gym, or attend an event, or just to participate in everyday society,” DeSantis continued. “He wants that, but if you want to vote, he thinks it’s too much of a burden to show a picture I.D. when you’re voting. So no voting I.D., but you have to show your medical papers to participate in everyday life? Give me a break!”

Go get ’em, Gov. Happily, despite how rara an avis they’ve come to be, we have another stellar example of a true statesman as opposed to a mere politician. Ladies and germs, I give you the Right Honorable Senator Rand Paul.

Resist.

They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they should.

We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and feckless bureaucrats. We can simply say no, not again.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi — you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs. We have all either had COVID, had the vaccine, or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices. We will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced into random screening and testing so you can continue your drunk with power rein over the Capitol.

President Biden — we will not accept your agencies’ mandates or your reported moves toward a lockdown. No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates. And if you want to shutdown federal agencies again — some of which aren’t even back to work fully — I will stop every bill coming through the Senate with an amendment to cut their funding if they don’t come to work.

No more.

Do I sound fed up to you? That’s because I am.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve practiced medicine for 33 years. I graduated from Duke Medical School, worked in emergency rooms, studied immunology and virology, and ultimately chose to become a surgeon.

I have been telling everyone for a year now that Dr. Anthony Fauci and other public health officials were NOT following science, and I’ve been proven right time and time again.

But I’m not the only one who is fed up. I can’t go anywhere these days — from work, to events, to airports and Ubers, restaurants and stores, without people coming up to me thanking me for standing up for them.

For standing up for actual science. For standing up for freedom. For standing against mandates, lockdowns, and bureaucratic power grabs.

I think the tide has turned, and more and more people are willing to stand up. I see stories from across the country of parents standing up to teacher unions and school boards.

I see members of Congress refusing to comply with Petty Tyrant Pelosi.

We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?

Or will we stand together and say, absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom.

From your lips to God’s ears, sir. Ahh, but the good Senator ain’t done dishing out the two-fisted, bare-knuckle wisdom quite yet.

U.S. Senator Rand Paul blasted millions of Americans who are fully vaccinated, telling them to “mind your own business” after complaining about those who say they don’t want to eat in restaurants where everyone is not vaccinated.

“The bottom line is for those who are saying, ‘I won’t go to a restaurant unless we force everybody to be vaccinated,’ if you’re vaccinated you are overwhelmingly safe from hospitalization and death. Mind your own business,” the Kentucky Republican said on Fox News.

Unfortunately, the quote is from a Leftard Fake News shitpit that I refuse to dignify with a link, because fuck ’em in the left ventricle with a spikey dildo, sorry not sorry. There’s embedded video of Paul’s remarks there too; if you’re interested, it shouldn’t be too hard for you to find.

And the heartening developments just keep on a-coming:

Many people have looked at what is taking place in Australia with jaws agape.  Indeed, if there exists any system of western democracy that has taken more stronger totalitarian measures during covid than Australia, they are not easily identified.

There were reports in early 2020 of the United Nations organizing 5-stages of COVID lock-down plans, with “stage-5” being the most restrictive; and the Australian government agreeing to be the beta-test for the fifth stage; the ultimate police state.  If true, that explains the incredibly undemocratic and authoritarian controls triggered by the government down under.

The Australian army is patrolling the streets; all businesses are forcibly shut down; formerly free citizens now locked inside their homes; sky-marshals patrolling from the air and warning via loudspeakers to disperse; concentric rings of physical checkpoints around major metropolitan areas; dissidents and non-conformists identified, targeted and arrested by violent Australian police.  Yes, this sounds like a dystopian science-fiction novel; however, it is all the current reality in Australia…. and the government is claiming they are only in “stage 4“!

One Senator, Malcolm Roberts, warns the Australian government they are on the wrong side of history…

[Transcript] – “As a servant to the people of Queensland and Australia, I speak tonight on freedom. On many occasions in the last year I have addressed the Senate in regard to freedom as a counterbalance to medical tyranny. And I recently addressed the Canberra Freedom Rally, remotely. The side that is locking people up for the crime of being healthy, arresting protesters, pepper spraying kids, beating up grannies, banning books and electronic messages, censoring social media, sending threatening letters, forcing small businesses to close, urging people to dob in dissenters and banning safe drugs that have worked for 60 years are all on the wrong side of history.”

“In a frightening development, New South Wales has called in the troops to keep innocent, healthy citizens locked in their homes in what can only be called martial law.

Recent freedom marches showed what happens to citizens who exercise their democratic right to protest. People are demonized, hunted down; the media vilifies them to discourage others from questioning the control state. If the government can decide who is free and who is not, then that is not freedom and no-one is free. A crisis will always be found to justify measures designed to protect the government, not the public—a crisis that is as is easy to create as turning up the PCR test from 24 cycles to 42, where a false positive is the most likely outcome, as has occurred.

Everyday Australians are being deliberately demoralized to extract a higher degree of compliance. When COVID first arrived, there were few masks, and the experts and authorities told us masks were not necessary. Now, those same medically ineffective masks are used to condition people to fear and obedience. Crushing resistance crushes hope, and without hope we have no future.

Is it any wonder that small businesses are closing permanently? Every small business that closes is a family that was being provided for through hard work and enterprise. Who will look after those families now—the government? With whose money? The Reserve Bank, using electronic journal entries, can only create fiat money out of thin air for so long before it runs down our country. The government can only sell bonds until buyers stop coming forward. Then what happens? We will have no tax base left to pay government stipends to people who were once able to pay their own way.

Never in history has Lord Acton’s famous quote rung more true: ‘Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.’ It’s been calculated that the civil disobedience tipping point—which is the maximum capacity of the police to arrest people, of the jails to hold people and of the courts to process people—is in Australia around 100,000 people. Anything more than that and the system comes crashing down. Attendance at the freedom rallies last month shows we’re almost there.

No wonder the Morrison government has been scared into resorting to the refuge of tyrants—using the military to intimidate civilians into compliance and to mandating injections and threatening to rip away people’s livelihoods.

Everyday Australians are seeing through the smokescreens of fear and intimidation. People now see that the costs of the restrictions to family and community exceed the medical cost of the virus. Everyday Australians have spoken. We will not be divided, we are united, we are one community, we are one nation.”

Well, I guess we’re all gonna see about that—in AINO, in Oz, and throughout the entire Western world. I’ve run this one already, but it makes the essential point quite handily, and so bears repeating.

RESIST WE MUCH update! Brandon Smith endorses.

I have been feverishly writing lately on covid mandates and vaccine passports issues, and I’m sure most readers understand why – We are currently at the cusp of a great conflict against the powers that be; people who are exploiting the (mostly manufactured) covid crisis for unprecedented political and economic control. And when I say “manufactured”, I mean that there is no crisis, no need for mandates, no need for lockdowns and no need for vaccine passports.

We are dealing with a virus that around 99.7% of people will easily survive according to the medical establishment’s own studies and stats as well as numerous independent studies, yet, for some reason we are being bombarded with fear mongering from the media and from governments.

Why is the only solution being suggested to the general public involve us giving up all of our freedoms and medical autonomy?

The answer is simple and entirely obvious, or at least it was to some of us right from jump: Because this is NOT about any goddamned virus. If you want to extend the benefit of the doubt to The Power and stipulate that it may well have been in the earliest days of this, fine, you just go right ahead and do that. Going by all that we’ve seen since, though—particularly since the patently fraudulent “election” and the installation of the shambolic Antipresident marionette as a front for the ruling junta—I find it impossible to be so generous myself, and frankly can’t understand how any right-thinking observer could be. Smith puts it plainly:

Yes, that’s right, I’ll say it again and again because I STILL to this day see the media and misinformed covid cultists continually claim the death rate of covid is much higher. It is not. The median Infection Fatality rate of covid is ONLY 0.26%. This is a FACT. This is the science according the vast majority of medical studies out there on the IFR. Let me repeat: The entire world is being locked down and told we have to give up our inherent human liberties because 0.26% of the population might get more than sniffles and brain fog from a covid infection. Why?

Well, that’s easy; because the covid response and restrictions have nothing to do with public health and everything to do with public control.

Yup. Regardless of how overly-charitable you’re willing to be about the opening stages of this naked power-play, it’s not even remotely debatable now, not among honest folks. Anyone who tries to engage you in one can only be either a fool or a malefactor, and should be dealt with accordingly.

You’ll want to read the whole thing as per usual with Brandon’s stuff, of course, but there’s still one more passage I simply must excerpt:

Globalists like Gideon Lichfield at MIT told us exactly what the plan was in March of 2020 in an article tiled ‘We’re Not Going Back To Normal’. They admit that the goal has always been to institute vaccine passport restrictions that will last for many years to come, if not forever. From the article:

“Ultimately, however, I predict that we’ll restore the ability to socialize safely by developing more sophisticated ways to identify who is a disease risk and who isn’t, and discriminating—legally—against those who are.

…one can imagine a world in which, to get on a flight, perhaps you’ll have to be signed up to a service that tracks your movements via your phone. The airline wouldn’t be able to see where you’d gone, but it would get an alert if you’d been close to known infected people or disease hot spots. There’d be similar requirements at the entrance to large venues, government buildings, or public transport hubs. There would be temperature scanners everywhere, and your workplace might demand you wear a monitor that tracks your temperature or other vital signs. Where nightclubs ask for proof of age, in future they might ask for proof of immunity—an identity card or some kind of digital verification via your phone, showing you’ve already recovered from or been vaccinated against the latest virus strains.”

I say to you that this is the classic philosophy of almost every semi-human monster that has ever lived. This is the ideology of narcissistic sociopaths. The religion of soulless robots. Some of the greatest evils known to mankind have been committed in the name of “the greater good of the greater number”. This mantra cannot be tolerated under any circumstance; it cannot be allowed to infect our nation and supplant our deeper values. Because if it does, we may find ourselves slaves to the system for a very long time.

As I have been warning they would do for the past year, multiple governments are keeping pandemic lockdowns and restrictions in place or they are bringing them back (in the case of the US), and it should be clear to everyone that this circular process of medical tyranny is not going to end. It is never meant to end. The goal of the establishment, of globalists and governments, is to keep the restrictions in place indefinitely.

It most certainly is. Sadly, the supine compliance of most so-called “Americans” as tyranny tightened its grip has left Team Liberty in an extremely parlous position. In consequence, options have narrowed; opportunities have been lost; and odds against mounting a successful resistance have gone from pretty long to seriously daunting. Each and every step taken along the march to serfdom only increases the difficulty of altering course—a lesson learned by many populations throughout history, to the dear cost in both blood and treasure for all.

Updated update! Dang it, there was one more thing I meant to include with that last excerpt but forgot. It’s important enough to require another update, no way can I leave it out.

Finally, if the covid cult decides to pursue direct force as an option, we must be ready to fight back. Without local organization at minimum, defending ourselves will be difficult or impossible. This means bringing back an old standby of the Founding Fathers: The militia.

AT LAST, somebody finally came right out and said it! Besides me, I mean. Refreshing, ain’t it?

Prison nation

The land once known far and wide as a nation of cast-offs and convicts is now back behind bars.

Australia has deployed hundreds of soldiers to Sydney to help enforce a Covid lockdown.

A Delta outbreak which began in June has produced nearly 3,000 infections and led to nine deaths.

Australian Defence Force soldiers will undergo training on the weekend before beginning unarmed patrols on Monday.

But many have questioned whether the military intervention is necessary, calling it heavy-handed.

The lockdown – in place until at least 28 August – bars people from leaving their home except for essential exercise, shopping, caregiving and other reasons.

Soldiers will join police in virus hotspots to ensure people are following the rules, which include a 10km (6.2 miles) travel limit.

State Police Minister David Elliott said it would help because a small minority of Sydneysiders thought “the rules didn’t apply to them”.

Information provided by health officials indicates the virus is mainly spreading through permitted movement.

The Australian Lawyers Alliance, a civil rights group, called the deployment a “concerning use” of the army in a liberal democracy.

Oh, is that what you think you are? Because you look like something else entirely from here. Then again, though, here in AINO (America In Name Only), we have precious little room to talk these days.

As a GFZ commenter helpfully points out: nine (count ’em, 9) deaths…in a city of five million. Yep, this is one Heap Big Scary Death Plague, all right. Speaking of GFZ, via whom etc:

Can we liberate a Western nation from tyranny in which the people would be grateful for our sacrifice?

That would be nice.

Go down under, shoot some commies, hand out some rifles to the locals, drink a beer and have a barbie.

Sure, some of the Australian Leftists will be all pissy, but given what I’ve seen of the Sydney riots, the rest of the country would embrace us like the Belgians did after Market Garden.

Let ’em get all the “pissy” they want to; just gun ’em down in job lots and get on with your day, as is the proper way to deal with all Leftists, everywhere. It ain’t as if Down Under shitlibs have many options when it comes to shooting back, y’know.

Tyranny comes to your house

It’s roosting on our friend Wes’s doorstep even now.

Yesterday a news headline came to my attention that will affect mine and my families lives.

Charlotte hospitals announce mandatory COVID vaccine requirement for all employees

Charlotte hospital systems Atrium Health and Novant Health will begin requiring all workers get the COVID-19 vaccinations, hospital officials confirmed Thursday.

Atirum Health will require all workers — including remote workers, physicians, medical residents, faculty, fellows, trainees, contractors, medical staff, students, temporary workers and volunteer staff — to get vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption by Oct. 31.

And Novant Health will require the same for all of its employees, contractors, vendors and students by Sept. 15.

My wife is a NICU Nurse and a damn good one. She loves saving babies. She doesn’t want to take the jab and refuses to take this experimental poison.

The fight it seems has now landed at my door. Will anyone help me? Or is it just my problem since your lives aren’t affected by this decision. I’ve got many friends whose wives are nurses and I heard from many of them yesterday. “What do we do?” was the question I was asked. The first option is to try for the religious exemption. Not sure how that is going to go over though with over half of their staff trying to claim it. Hospitals already don’t have enough staff for their patients, what happens when they lose even more staff due to the refusal to take their mandated poison? The second option? Well let’s just say they hope we don’t have to go there. Honestly though, the second option for me is the first, if you know what I mean.

The time to throw down draws near. Sooner or later it’s going to affect us all. All major employers will end up mandating the poison as a condition of employment, due to pressure from TPTB. Or how about if you have to have it to collect Social Security, unemployment, or just being a government employee. I’m tired of waiting for trouble to come to my door. Sadly they are slowly but surely backing good people into a corner. Trouble is here America, and 99% of the people have no clue how bad things can and will get.

Wes is one of a handful of blogosphere colleagues and allies I regularly correspond with; I know him as a good guy and consider him a friend, although we haven’t met face to face. The predicament he now finds himself in is extremely upsetting, even moreso since he’s also literally a neighbor of mine, located no more than 15-20 miles from where I live. Troubling doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it.

And that’s only the personal side of all this. Bottom line is, there’s some seriously unsavory shit going on, and it is now or soon will be on everyone’s agenda, not just one poor ol’ blogger and his spouse. The Überstate’s (Not)Vaxx goon squads are out and about, and they’re all around us. No matter who you are, no matter where you are, they’re coming for you. As Wes said, they are slowly but surely backing good people into a corner.

By now y’all know what I always say about these malefactors: They will not stop; they will have to BE stopped. As they relentlessly, arrogantly snatch all other options away from us one after another, we will soon find ourselves left with but one last, desperate resort. I don’t have to tell you folks what that is. I don’t know what I can possibly do to assist Wes, what any of us can do. What I DO know is that the inflection point, the hour of decision, is nigh upon us all. And none of us—not Wes, not me, not you —should have to face it alone.

Spicy time cometh, and that right soon. Gird your loins, people. Be ready.

The ground-level view

If you’ve noticed that what the people Salena Zito calls “our cultural narrative-makers” are reporting is quite often at odds with your own daily meatspace reality, particularly life as she is lived in small-town and rural America, well, it ain’t just your imagination. Since this is a relatively short piece and there’s no way to do it justice with some niggardly copy ‘n’ pastery, I’m just gonna repost the whole thing, with my apologies to Ms Zito and the good folks at American Greatness for the misappropriation. It’s an important story she’s telling, I think, and deserves to be brought before as wide an audience as possible.

Seeing America from the Ground
OTTAWA, Ohio—This is not a story about politics. Instead, it is a story about America and how sometimes, you can discover something new when you try to absorb the country’s character one mile at a time and when you take in a place on its own terms and not simply the terms of wherever you came from.

A couple of weeks ago, a native Long Islander who has called New York City his home for half a dozen years took his first trip to the Midwest for a news assignment to discuss what he found different about the way of life out here.

He flew to both Chicago and Detroit to learn about this foreign land.

The social media criticism of the resulting story was swift and brutal. The piece wasn’t any worse than the typical story flyover country folk read about themselves. But the oddest thing was that he tried to find the “Midwest” solely in the big cities of Chicago and Detroit. The true measure of the Midwest begins somewhere near the Pennsylvania state line.

Had he driven the 21 hours and 18 minutes it would take on the back roads between New York City and Chicago, he would have had one heck of a story to write about the country and the Midwest.

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, is a beautiful town surrounded by the mountains of Pisgah Ridge and is dotted with architectural styles that range from Federalist, Greek Revival, Romanesque Revival, and Queen Anne to Richardsonian Romanesque. How the former town of Mauch Chunk was renamed for the Native American sports legend is, in microcosm, the story of this town: the ingenuity of civic leaders who deeply care about preserving a place in a changing world.

Then, at the Ohio-Pennsylvania border, by some measures the official threshold of the Midwest, he would have found himself in Ashtabula, Ohio. There, he could have begun his education as to how the Great Lakes Midwest has struggled and adapted to the tides of progress and technology that have stripped it from its robust industrial past as a major port city and railroad hub.

Deep poverty, crime, and despair, associated with the collapsed inner-city neighborhoods of Chicago and Detroit, would have greeted him in a different form had he driven down Lincoln Highway and found himself in Ford Heights, Illinois. Once a blue-collar, middle-class black suburb, Ford Heights has died so hard, it has been consistently the poorest suburb in America since the beginning of this century.

It’s also one of the most dangerous places in the state. The violent crime rate is so high, it is unimaginable to not be a victim of crime if you live here.

I remember the first time I came through this town nearly a decade ago and found a makeshift altar on the side of an abandoned gas station lined with bottles of hard liquor, candles, a wilted red rose and the word “love” spelled out with decals. I wept for all of the loss that happened here. A visitor here, with his or her eyes open, learns quickly that deindustrialization is colorblind in sowing despair.

For the majority of my career as a journalist, I have had the opportunity to report on this country from the vantage point of taking the back roads to get from point A to point B for whatever assignment I was given.

I found early in my career in covering politics that parachuting into a city for an event or an interview or a rally or an election gave me little understanding of what was happening in the region. Yet if I made my way there, taking the back roads, I was able to see how things were changing—for better or worse.

When I stopped to talk to people, I learned early on that listening was much more important than talking and that my duty was not to report their stories from my perspective or experiences but instead from theirs.

The story of America isn’t exclusively the story that comes from the perspective of larger cities. Unfortunately, it often appears that way because those are the bases of our cultural narrative-makers: news organizations, institutions, academia, think tanks, major-league sports, and entertainment.

They are so disconnected from most places that it would astound them if they took the time to get on the road and ask them how they feel about the issues of the day. They don’t want their police departments defunded. They want their bridges and roads fixed and their water to be clean. They don’t want critical race theory jammed down their children’s throats. They are horrified at how political the military has become and are worried about the long-lasting impact of the crisis at the border.

They are good neighbors. They love God and aren’t ashamed to show it as much as they like pickles in their beer and ranch dressing on everything.

Whether you take a ride for half an hour, half a day, an entire week, or even a month, there is more good than not out here in this country, despite what you may read in the New York Times or the Washington Post; it cannot be seen or smelt or heard or felt with a mask on in an airplane. It can be experienced if you take the time.

As the saying goes, you can’t report on a country you’ve never been to yourself. Zito, bless her heart, has long been doing the job MFM “journalists” just won’t do. Kudos to her for that.

Back in my road-dog days, there was an outfit from Chicago called Three Blue Teardrops. They were briefly label-mates of ours; we played with ’em a bunch, stayed at their house a few times when we were playing Chi-town, and got to be very good friends with the guys. Hell, we even covered some of their songs, one of them being this ‘un:

Another 3BT tune we did:

According to 3BT’s singer/guitarist Dave Sisson, they were once being hollered at during a show to play that one, and Dave flatly refused to do it. When I asked him why he’d done that, since the song had always been one of their most reliable late-night house-bringer-downers, he told me he considered our version so good as to be the very last word on it, and that he now thought of “Long Hard Night” as a Belmont Playboys song. I was flabbergasted by that one.

Now, the reason I bring the Teardrops up at all is that when they were out on the road, they always went with what I considered an ingenius approach: routing and timing everything to allow for taking those side-roads and byways Zito talks about above, rather than the frantic, get-there-quick-as-you-can interstate dash much more common among harried, hungover road warriors. Whenever our paths would cross, Dave and his crew would wax rhapsodic about having visited the Cadillac Ranch in Texas, or seeing the World’s Biggest Ball of Twine, or what have you. They NEVER took the interstate. For the Teardrops, see, touring wasn’t only about doing shows, making money, selling CDs, or getting your music in front of as many disparate audiences as you could. It was also about enjoying the ride—about experiencing as much of Real America as they could squeeze in, between gigs.

That had never occurred to me before Dave told me about their way of doing things, and after he did I was kinda envious. For instance, the BPs drove within shouting distance of Gettysburg I don’t even know how many times…but never did we have enough time to make a stop and tour the battlefield, which every one of us in that van would LOVED to have done. Hell, my brother even drove up there on his own hook once to do the tour. But I’ve never been, and almost certainly never will now.

Three Blue Teardrops had it right, as does Zito. The true American story can’t be found on TeeWee, the internet, or the interstate highways. It’s out there still, but you gotta take the backroads to get there.

When they made him, they broke the mold

Although I don’t pay a lot of attention to boxing nowadays, back when I did George Foreman was always tops with me. No, he was never much for fancy footwork, finesse, or the more subtle aspects of the Sweet Science. Even in his heyday, a more well-rounded, agile pugilist like Mohammed Ali could run rings around old George, and literally did sometimes.

But that hardly means Foreman didn’t know exactly what he was doing in the squared circle. George was well aware that if he could just hang in there until the opportunity arose to land just one of those cinder-block hands of his in exactly the right spot, his opponent would be going down like a bag of wet sand, regardless of who that opponent might have been. Foreman’s victims may have danced their way into the ring, all right. But an awful lot of them would wind up being carried out, with their glassy, vacant eyes rolling around in their heads like pinballs. Some of the fighters put down by a Foreman brick claim that you never really get over one of those earthquake haymakers; in one way or another, the effects stay with you for life. I don’t doubt it, not one bit.

Ali, Evander, Sugar Ray, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Larry “You so damn ugly” Holmes, Thomas Hearns, Boom Boom Mancini, De La Hoya—I liked ’em all. But I always loved George Foreman best, and I still do. I mean, how could you not?

Boxing legend George Foreman said Sunday that he’s been pressured to stop publicly saying that he loves the United States, but will continue to do so, anyway.
“For about 54 years, people have ask me not to keep saying ‘I love America,’” Foreman posted to Twitter on Independence Day.

“Well I do and I’m not ashamed,” he wrote. “Don’t leave it; Love it.”

“Happy 4th of July,” Foreman closed the succinct post.

The former boxer used the message to caption a photo of himself with his eyes and holding the American flag after taking gold for our nation at the 1968 Olympic Games.

The post quickly went viral, racking up nearly 85,000 likes by Monday.

Here’s the Tweet:

What a breath of fresh air, a most welcome change from the usual run of things with today’s repellent crop of professional athletes. May God bless and keep you, George.

Addressing the biggest issue of all

The Republic of Florida, anyone?

The Right Scoop has the, um, right of it:

This is how you fight back. Not only did he ban the ridiculous CRT curriculum from the classrooms, he’s now mandating that high school students learn the evils of these anti-American ideologies that people escape from to come here. This is brilliant. And as an added bonus, this will no doubt drive the left insane.

I’m having a really tough time finding something not to like here, frankly. And with each successive perfect move America’s Gov makes, I’m also hoping that he does NOT attempt a run for President, in 2024 or any other year. We need this man right where he is—he fights.

News to me

Apparently, we had a brief outage at this here hogwallow, which I didn’t even know about until I saw this over at WRSA:

I had a message earlier from CA saying that he was down too, asking me and a couple others to let people know about it on our sites. Which I gladly would have done except that I didn’t see said message until today, at which point he had already sent a follow-up cancelling the alert. Like I said, the whole episode went right by me; I had no problem at all posting here last night, although at one point I did have trouble getting WRSA to load but didn’t really think anything of it. Since I visit CA’s joint several times every day, and only look in on CF very occasionally just to make sure things are copacetic (comments being the exception; I have things set up so that I receive email notifications of those, which I usually view on my phone), it’s no real surprise that I was totally unaware of any problems at Ye Olde Webstye.

But hey, all’s well that ends well, right? Thanks to all who tried to hip me about the situation; as ever, I greatly appreciate y’all’s patronage and assistance. Truth to tell, interference along these lines is the very least of what I expect we’ll all be dealing with going forward. I won’t go into specifics regarding what more I’m anticipating, other than to say I’ve been wondering for a while now just how much longer we’re all going to be allowed to continue unmolested. Eyes open and powder dry, folks.

Update! Almost forgot to include a link to CA’s Gab thingamabob, which can be found here. I was also shamed to learn I hadn’t put him on my Gab “Following” list, which oversight I have now rectified. I fully expect and insist that you folks do likewise. As you were.

MONSTER ON THE LOOSE

Further deets on soon-to-be-legendary Belgian NCO Jürgen Conings.

Facebook has shut down a page gathering support for Jürgen Conings, the heavily armed extremist soldier who has been on the run for more than a week in Belgium.

The “Als 1 achter Jürgen”, or “all as 1 behind Jürgen”, page was taken down by the social media platform on Tuesday after receiving the support of some 50,000 people in less than a week.

“We removed this group because it violated our policy regarding dangerous individuals and organisations,” said a Facebook spokesman.

The Belgian authorities are worried about the level of support for Corporal Conings, after three marches and vigils over the last four days for the anti-lockdown, far-right elite soldier.

Vice-Admiral Michel Hofman, Belgium’s commander-in-chief, has written to all his country’s military warning there is no room for ideologies “fundamentally contrary to the values that we defend and the oath we have taken”.

“I regret that Conings is portrayed by some as a victim, resistance fighter or hero. He certainly is not,” he said.

Speak for yourself, pal. He certainly is to me. And quite a few others as well, looks like.

Conings is on the run armed with a handgun and an FN P90 sub-machinegun, used by special forces for close defensive combat and designed to pierce bullet-proof armour.

During his flight last week, he abandoned four anti-tank rocket launchers in his car, which is thought to have been booby trapped with hand grenades.

Note ye well that Conings has been uniformly described as “heavily armed” in all of the few reports The Power has deigned to allow so far. Clearly, the Gatekeepers haven’t the slightest idea of what a P90 is.

FNP90-shorty.jpeg

Cute little bugger, ain’t she? That long, skinny rectangle laying front-to-rear up top is the magazine, in case you aren’t familiar with this unique little subgun. I had the pleasure of shooting one when they first came out over here, brought to the Knob Creek Shoot by a FN rep. It was pretty neat, definitely. But it noway nohow qualifies as “heavily armed” if this is all Conings is carrying. Which, given what we already know about Enemedia’s integrity and competence, I kinda doubt. Neat as it is, any sniper would know better than to go out a-hunting packing only that little bit of heat along. Why, it would be like launching an insurrection in the very heart of Mordor On The Potomac and forgetting to bring any guns.

More glad tidings; bear in mind, though, that all this stuff is a cpl-three weeks old.

“The judicial investigation shows that the man has prepared all this,” explains Minister of Justice Vincent Van Quickenborne (Open Vld). “He has been preparing for his action for days, and it turns out that he was effectively close to a target on Monday evening and stayed there for more than two hours,” it said. Several reliable sources confirm to VTM Nieuws that Jürgen Conings was seen that evening at the house of virologist Marc Van Ranst.

“Days.” Uh huh.

Investigation into Conings’ car, which was found Tuesday in the forest in Dilsen-Stokkem, has revealed a “suspicious mechanism”, the prosecution said. “We are still awaiting the technical report from the DOVO service on its possible elaboration,” he says. “The car was booby-tramped, with war ammunition on board, with the intention of making victims,” says Van Quickenborne. “This is indeed a very dangerous man.”

The sweeping started on Thursday afternoon after a display of power by the police and the army, which were numerous. About 400 Belgian troops were deployed, 150 of which from Defense and 250 from the police. The various police services and army units searched a perimeter of no less than 20 kilometers in circumference. Meter per meter. Foreign troops were also massively present in Limburg, in addition to Belgian units of DOVO and special forces.

The suspect Jürgen Conings (46) is a professional soldier from Dilsen-Stokkem who is active in the barracks of Leopoldsburg and earlier in that of Peutie. He was already on the radar of OCAD as a far right, in the category “potentially violent extremist”. The military intelligence service ADIV would also have been aware of his sympathies. Conings also received a disciplinary sentence from the defense for his right-wing extremist ideology. In the meantime, the public prosecutor’s office has also issued an investigation report.

The professional soldier’s curriculum vitae shows that he is a sniper with years of combat experience in a war zone. He was there on missions in Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan. The man is a welder by training and also works in the army repair department. As a member of the pre-deployment training cell in Leopoldsburg, he prepares soldiers for a foreign assignment. In that capacity, he also had access to the ammunition depot.

A source at Defense sums it up: “He’s one of those people you don’t want to be an enemy.”

And yet your government, in its impervious arrogance, did exactly that anyway.

Another thing I’m enjoying is how, in addition to insisting that he NOT be regarded as a hero—which, I repeat, I damned sure do—is the branding of Conings as a “terrorist” instead. Guess all those Lefty EUroweenies forgot about their own favored-when-convenient view that “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter,” eh?

Tonight’s Tune Damage is pretty much a no-brainer, I think.

Guardian Angel

Run, Curtis, run.

Curtis Sliwa may be New York City’s only hope for a real people’s mayor, but his campaign is also setting the standard for authentic populism nationwide. Every 2022 and 2024 Republican hopeful should pay close attention to his campaign in the effort to take back America.

Don’t sleep in on New York’s mayoral Election Days, especially the June 22 primary. The two-man race on the Republican side features Sliwa—and that’s the only name that matters.

It’s worth knowing more about Sliwa and how his approach pertains to authentic populism.

Sliwa’s mayoral campaign rests upon his record of genuine public service, not a career in politics. His message is not new but it’s credible. His battle-ready stances against corruption, elitism, rampant crime, and overall social decay have people clamoring.

Sliwa got his jaw broken last summer by rioting and looting leftists, so he literally can feel the pain so many business owners and other law-abiding Americans are feeling. Dig a little deeper into his past, and you will find he rescued people from a burning building while on a paper delivery route at age 16.

Leading by example and keeping skin in the game are qualities that are naturally rooted in true patriots—not utopian, woke leftists. For this reason, it should be all the more embarrassing to Republican voters that the Democrats compete so closely for the mantles of populism with standouts like Bernie Sanders and AOC, who are as inauthentic as anyone could be.

Whether it’s a race for mayor or U.S. senator, the leading themes or issues on a populist campaign inevitably will be at least a few of the following: anti-corruption, quality of life, fostering community, and of course economic reform. These all usually go hand-in-hand.

And are perennial issues in NYC.

Some folks like to slag Curt Sliwa as a publicity-hound, a right-wing thug, and/or a phony, among other things. I’ve always liked him myself, going back to the days when I listened to the great Bob Grant on WABC. Sliwa was a regular on the show, occasionally guest-hosting himself when Grant was on vacation.

A lot of people have either forgotten or never knew in the first place, but it was Curtis Sliwa who exposed Al Sharpton’s vicious rabble-rousing at Freddie’s Fashion Mart, which eventually resulted in riots, arson, and mass murder:

In another violent incident in which Sharpton was even more directly involved was a mass murder at Freddie’s Fashion Mart in Harlem. Freddie’s Fashion Mart was a clothing store owned by a Jewish businessman and located in space he rented from a black church. When the store owner attempted to expand his floor space into space which was occupied by black sub-tenant Sharpton led a series of protests at the store.

Sharpton called the owner of Freddie’s a “white interloper” and the protesters led by Sharpton shouted about the “blood-sucking Jews” and “Jew Bastards”. Sharpton and his partner went on the radio and referred to the owner of Freedie’s as a “cracker” and promised that he would be “made to suffer”.

One of Sharpton’s protesters forced his way into Freddie’s Fashion Mart and fatally shot three white people, then he shot a Pakistani immigrant to death because he “looked Jewish” and set fire to the store. A fire in which five Hispanics, a Guyanese immigrant and a black security guard (who had been referred to by the protesters as a “cracker lover”) all lost their lives.

Of course when confronted with the logically predictable consequences of his incendiary rhetoric Sharpton promptly denied any connection to the protest except to say that he had visited there once to “express his support” and to engage in discussions with “all the involved parties”. When Curtis Sliwa played tape recording of Sharpton’s venomous speeches, delivered to the picketers on more than one occasion, on his WABC radio program Sharpton responded by calling WABC “hate radio”.

Sliwa first played those tapes on Bob Grant’s show, if I remember right, blowing Sharpton’s brazen lies denying his starring role in the mayhem at Freddie’s all to hell and gone. I was listening when he did; believe me, it was a thing of beauty. Of course, Sharpton was greasy enough to ooze his way out of facing justice for his repeated exhortations to violence, and he still is. But hearing Grant and Sliwa gleefully chortling as they played TV news reports featuring Sharpton’s gradually-disintegrating fabrications originally claiming complete non-involvement, then admitting to having attended the Freddie’s demonstration “once,” or maybe “once or twice, can’t remember,” and so on was priceless just the same. Then they would play Sliwa’s tapes capturing Sharpton denouncing the “white interlopers and blood-sucking Jews” over a bullhorn, inspiring the Rush Limbaugh Show parodies hilariously lampooning him, in which Sharpton was always pontificating through a bullhorn.

The charlatan never stopped trying to miminize his role as the primary instigator:

It is noteworthy that when Al Sharpton wants to see black faces in high places in the recording industry he does not refer to them as “niggers” or “black interlopers”; he speaks of equal opportunity for blacks. But when a Jew owns a store in a part of America that Al Sharpton thinks should be off-limits to white people, then that businessman is vilified as a cracker and a white interloper. He’s saying that blacks should have business opportunities in every part of America, but white folks should stay the hell off the sacred soil of black communities. It’s a strange message coming from a man who claims to teach the lessons of Jesus.

The “drums” of the Harlem community had done their job. The word was out. One of Sharpton’s picketers forced his way into Freddy’s Fashion Mart and shouted: “I will be back to burn the Jew store down.” Before he could make good on his threat, another Sharpton protester named Abubunde Mulocko burst into the store with a loaded .38 caliber pistol and shot three white people. Then he shot a Pakistani because he mistook him for a Jew. Then he torched the store and burned alive five Hispanics, a Guyanese and a black security guard whom the protesters had vilified as a “cracker lover.”

After stirring up racial hatred with his heated rhetoric on 125th Street and broadcasting his hostility on two radio stations for months, the Reverend Al Sharpton abruptly claimed total ignorance of what his underlings had been up to. He had a sudden case of global amnesia. In his sanitized autobiography, Sharpton makes no mention of the incendiary broadcasts he and his buddy Morris Powell had made. To hear him tell it, he barely knew of the loud and vulgar protest at Freddy’s. “I visited once to support the picketers and to talk to all sides,” he says with feigned innocence. (p 268) Sharpton continues: “but after a few days, tapes of some statements made by me calling a lessee a white interloper, and then some more offensive and hateful statements made by others when I was not present, at my Saturday morning rally, were released by a right-wing media watch group to further the mayor’s reckless charges.”(p268) Mayor Giuliani had criticized Sharpton for turning the Freddy’s dispute onto a racial powder keg. If my memory serves, the “right-wing media watch group” that Sharpton refers to was just one guy with a pocket tape recorder who had gone to one of Sharpton’s rallies at the request of Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels. Sliwa played the tape on WABC radio in New York. Sharpton calls WABC “hate radio.”(p 141) I have heard this recording a dozen times. Sharpton did not speak the vulgarity “white interloper” in some cool detached tone of voice, he employed all the rhetorical skills he had acquired in a lifetime of preaching. He was struggling mightily to fire the crowd to action. His words, “white interloper,” sprang from his lips like a curse. His tone left no doubt: he wanted the white Jew gone from the sacred soil of Harlem.

In his own defense Sharpton says: “I was not guilty of inciting violence, but I was guilty of not upholding the standards of my speech.”(p 268) Well, spank me Mommy! Seven innocent people are dead, four other people had suffered gunshot wounds, Freddy’s Fashion Mart is a burned out shell, and the firebrand Reverend Sharpton thinks he is only guilty of sub-standard language skills.

Oh, I’m sure Sharpton thinks no such thing; deep down, this shameless race-warmonger knows full well what he’s guilty of, however little that bothers his conscience (if any) in the long, still watches of the night. What he actually thinks is that he’s a skilled enough liar to con everybody else into thinking it, that’s all. Thankfully, the ever-intrepid Curtis Sliwa was on hand to puncture that balloon forever.

That’s reason enough to like him right there, at least for me. There are others.

My favorite has always been Rudy Giuliani. He’ll never get his due. People take for granted—now, they don’t even talk about crime as being one of the top issues of stop-and-frisk, which is used to draw the crime down, not about people carrying guns and using guns—you almost never hear about that. What he had to do—the bull in the china shop—he had to go in there knowing you weren’t gonna make friends, you were gonna make a lot of enemies. And he came in with his wrecking crew, and let me tell you something, he did a lot of things that alienated a lot of people, but if he hadn’t taken all those political risks we would not be in the situation we are now. Bloomberg was able to take advantage of that and he added to it…

Now people who are enjoying all of the benefits—and I see people attacking Rudy, criticizing Rudy, I say, “Look, do you remember what it was like? Do we have to go on a retrospective?” So, I like Rudy, but they’ve all disappointed me, and you learn a lesson from this: It’s about principles, not people. People are always gonna fail you. I’ve failed many, many times in my life. But I promoted certain principles: self help. I don’t believe in government basically taking care of you form the cradle to the grave. That’s why for 34 years I’ve exported the Guardian Angels now to 17 countries, 130 cities. I believe in self-help. If you have a problem, don’t depend on government. There’s not many people in New York City who talk about that, even people now who are Republicans or conservatives, you know, they’ve sort of morphed a bit. People in New York City are very much into the government has to do it or it can’t get done.

He’s by no means perfect, of course; he has his flaws and his failings, as do we all. But New Yorkers could certainly do a lot worse than having Sliwa as mayor. Hell, they have done worse. And will again.

Real-world application of a properly-aligned sense of duty

What it looks like.

Now, onto one piece of news that I got that’s fallen by the wayside as of late. Jürgen Conings in Belgium. Now, if you haven’t heard about him, let me getcha up to speed. Jürgen Conings is a Career Corporal Belgian Special Forces type. 30 years IRL Wartime shooter experience. Sniper, all around badass. About 5 weeks ago, the whole “We’re locking you down for COVID again” was announced for Belgium AGAIN, well, he didn’t take too kindly to that and was like “The fuck you are you bullshitin’ motherfuckers!” at which point he went down, drew a metric fuckton of ‘goodies’ from the Arms room, as well as live ammo, and left a note on his bunk saying “I’m not locked in with you, you’re locked in here with me!” and left a target list of people who he was planning on perforating.

That was 5 weeks ago.

Now, I’m still friends with a former wife of one of my best friends. She’s a German Cutie who married my home boy back in the day, and after the divorce, she and I stayed friends cos he was in the wrong and a dick. She remarried a German Airborne GSG-9 type. Seems that this part hasn’t got much play but there’s a missing squad of German Troops that is running around loose too.

The word I got is that the Belgians have problems with their troops being willing to go after their now-wanted former comrade in arms. A natural position IMO. So, when it started being apparent that the Politicos were starting to feel like lunch meat and getting a might nervous about the rumbling among the troops and even high-higher, they called the EU. That’s the European Union assholes in Brussels. According to the word I got, the Belgies, well, they sorta-kinda agree about the new lockdown, and think the politicos ARE playing fuck-fuck games. So the politicos no longer trust their own troops. So they went to the EU, who went to NATO, who pulled a Squad of German Shooters to hunt this guy down. Much like the Brits did in the colonies… don’t want to go after ‘your own’? Bring in the Hessians. Kraut mercs pretty much. That made everyone happy.

Until the German Squad disappeared.

No one knows what happened. The main fear is they went rogue as well.

The KSK, (that’s the actual German SF kids) The ‘Kommando Spezialkräfte’ is run through supposedly with ‘right wing politics’ and been under a lot of investigations for Nazi bullshit. They’ve been getting fucked with unmercifully by their own politicians, to the point now that this squad vanished?

So it’s either out of a movie, and Belgian dude took out these guys like Rambo took out the sheriffs department in the first movie

OR

The German KSK squaddies rolled out into the woods, found dude, yelled “Was ist Los Kameraden? We brought the beer!” and are now planning to do dreadful and evil things to the politicians all around.

Any bets it’s option #2?
That’s my take.  Keep fucking around, you’ll find out.

HARD

Go get ’em, brothers, and Godspeed to you all.

I gotta tell ya, folks: if this turns out to be at all accurate—and I pray that it is—it’s beyond doubt the most momentous and heartening news to come down the pike in living memory. If the world is ever to be brought back from the precipice of total disaster to which our political “leaders” have dragged us and put back to rights again, this is exactly how it starts.

Life in a Red Army

Any patriotic American interested in a career in the US military damned well better reconsider. Any patriotic American already in should get the hell out, by any conceivable means.

EXCLUSIVE: Biden’s Military Puts West Point Cadets in Solitary Confinement If They Refuse COVID Vaccine
Military cadets at West Point Academy who refuse to take one of the controversial COVID vaccines are being put in solitary confinement, with more stringent restrictions than those who tested positive for the virus.

At West Point Military Academy, a number of cadets are currently rebelling against the push from the Biden administration and military higher-ups to take one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines. 700 cadets who initially refused the vaccine were brought together into a meeting room, and were briefed as to the benefits of the vaccine. The number of cadets has now dwindled significantly after allegations of daily pressure by “senior officials” at the school, and rumors of reductions of leave. Some cadets relented and received the vaccine, while many left West Point due to the pressure.

Those who still refuse to take the vaccine are forced to wear masks everywhere, marking them out from everybody else who is vaccinated. A number of parents of those holdouts have now organized legal counsel on behalf of their children, with CDMedia reporting that they are “banding together to fight this perceived criminal behavior by those in power over their children.

An anonymous whistleblower, whose identity National File is protecting, gave a breakdown of the current restrictions that West Point cadets who refuse to take the COVID vaccine have to face. For those cadets returning for summer programs, they will have their two week leave shortened to one, as they have to spend 7 days in a quarantine that amounts to serious solitary confinement. The cadets are locked up for 23 hours each day in one room, and are only allowed out for one hour to walk or run outside.

Infuriating, intolerable, and probably a violation of the Geneva Convention (or Nuremberg Code, as Liberty Daily has it; more on that later, perhaps—M). Not that anybody in our rogue Occupation Government would give a damn about that last, of course. I’ll put the most troubling aspect in bold:

West Point allegedly plans to round up all the cadets who are refusing the vaccine and transfer them into all one company or platoon based on how many they’re are. At the time of writing, around 50 cadets have not backed down. The whistleblower said this would likely be better for them, as they would not be around other troops who derogatorily shout at them, calling them “anti-vaxxers,” and instead would be with those who stand with them. “They’re being treated like criminals,” the whistleblower added. “They’re trying to protect other people’s rights and their rights are being compromised.”

Absolutely disgusting. But with this the writing is on the wall, not just for those unjustly-persecuted cadets but for all of us. I repeat: any remaining Heritage American soldier better get out NOW. Don’t wait until they come for you as well, as they are surely going to; at that point it’s already too late, and your fate is out of your hands. Leave the disintegrating USSA to “defend” itself with the feeble, ineffectual, PC-approved army of unqualified and poorly-trained defectives, weaklings, and sissy-Marys it seems to prefer, and so richly deserves. America’s real warriors will soon have far more important battles to fight anyhow.

““What a time to be alive! If we lose America, shame on us

Another lightbulb goes on.

Anthony Braxton is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who, over the past fifty years, has written hundreds of jazz, classical, and unclassifiable avant-garde musical works, along with operas and innovative combinations of improvised, pre-composed, and recorded music. The fact that he is not a household name in America today is one of the signs that our culture does not recognize its true heroes. However, despite being a towering figure in a musical and cultural context that is dominated by the far-Left, Braxton, a black American who is now 76, in an interview Friday expressed his unabashed love for America and his deep consternation over the forces that are now endeavoring to destroy it. It took courage and a willingness to swim against the tide – but for half a century, Braxton has shown with his fiercely uncompromising music that he is willing and able to do that.

In the interview at the Grammy Awards website, Braxton says: “ For me, I’m just a country boy. [At this point, the Grammy interviewer adds the notation that Braxton’s “voice cracks with emotion.”] I’m a lucky guy to be born an American citizen. When I think about all the great music that’s happening—especially the music that’s come from Americans—again, I can only just bow to the Creator.”

Speaking about his forthcoming release, the massive 13-disc Quartet (Standards) 2020, which features Braxton on various saxophones playing 67 classic jazz songs, Braxton says: “What I’ve tried to do every decade is a project from the American Songbook. From the repertoire of the great American people, we take everything for granted. But, actually, in America, we have so much. We have options on so many different levels. There are so many different kinds of musics. We are so lucky, but of course, not everyone is able to recognize how fortunate we are, because it’s all around us all the time.”

This leads the master musician into an extraordinary paean to this country, and a criticism of current trends: “There is a separation between real America and what is being reported about our great country. More and more, there is an effort to teach our young people that America has not been an agent of something positive, but rather, America has been an agent of something that is negative.” He adds: “I respect everyone’s viewpoint, but I would say this. In my opinion, the United States of America is one of the greatest countries that has ever happened to humanity. I think the men and women of America are some of the best people on this planet. But every day, I look at the internet—I gave up television and the radio years ago—and I’m reading about a perspective that is outrageous.”

After naming some of the composers, musicians, and others who have influenced him and get too little attention, Braxton says: “So, we watch the ascension of the great nation of China while, at the same time, our country is sinking because many of our young people are not being taught about what and who we really are as Americans….Unless change happens, we will have no way to avoid a cataclysmic experience.”

Braxton brushes aside the idea that there is something intrinsically wrong with this country: “There’s always room for improvement, but I’m not interested in utopia. No heaven, no paradise. Give me America! There are good people, so-called bad people, people on the left, people on the right.” He even rejects the Left’s current revision of American history: “There are complex forces in the air that are very separate from what one would have thought. The majority of the American people have been moving forward on the issue of slavery from the beginning. The whole concept of free states and slave states demonstrated immediately that there was opposition to slavery….In America, there’s always been a movement to challenge those ideas. But you would not know that today!”

Someone, Braxton says, is behind this movement toward disunity: “Certain sectors have been brought in to create separatism that didn’t really exist in the same way that we are experiencing it now. It’s very fashionable to be racist against white Americans, especially white men….What I’m saying is that someone made the decision to promote that vibration and put it in a different position.”

Believe it or not, there’s more yet from this very wise jazzman at the link. Never having been interested in modern jazz, I’m not at all familiar with Braxton. But after this, he’s one hundred percent a-okay in my book.

A EUroweenie who gets it

I’m doing him an injustice, actually. He doesn’t sound the slightest bit EUroweenie-ish to me.

For the most part, the Dutch are just as leftist and politically correct as any other Europeans. However, perhaps the Dutch have a teeny bit of DNA left that traces back to the 17th century, when Holland, only recently released from Hapsburg rule, was the freest country in Europe. In a time of tremendous religious schisms and fighting, the Dutch managed to be a tolerant society. Politician Thierry Baudet, in a viral video, seems to have harked back to that time when he warned his fellow Nederlanders that their response to COVID not only was a gross overreaction, but also put in place a template for future assaults on liberty.

Politically, Baudet is a conservative. He would like the Netherlands to withdraw from the E.U. and objects to unskilled immigration into Holland (just as Donald Trump objected to the unlimited flow of unskilled legal and illegal aliens into America). While Baudet is critical of Islam, he would not go as far as Geert Wilders would, since the latter advocates for banning the Koran, something that’s inconsistent with Holland’s historically liberal philosophy. Baudet also believes that cultural Marxism is eating away at the fabric of Dutch society.

In other words, Baudet is close to American conservatism in his views, which is probably why we conservatives find his video so darn good.

In said vid, Baudet says a real mouthful:

I hope there will be a moment that we wake up. That we will realize this is a collective psychosis. That the locking down of the entire country, half the world for 1.5 years because of a flu variety is insane. That walking around with those silly useless masks is insanity. That we conform ourselves to those completely senseless distancing rules. That we see that our businesses, our social lives have been destroyed. That we have held back effective primary medicines such as Ivermectin, only to give those experimental injections the status of “approved vaccine” as soon as we could.

That we now ramble on about how ‘the infections are decreasing,’ when the exact same happened last year – as it does every year. And that it will happen against as autumn arrives and new infections occur. And now we pretend it happens because of COVID-19, all the while that the thing that we used to call the ‘flu’ has completely disappeared.

But most importantly, I hope that we realize that with the hysteria about this Chinese flu as the pretext, an entire infrastructure has been built, an infrastructure that can be used again at any moment, due to any occurrence. Lockdowns, masks, social distancing, no more traveling, no handshakes, ridiculous experimental jabs.

This COVID phase has been a practice to train obedience. Our parliament and the Rutte regime have passed this training with grace. Congratulations. Klaus Schwab [promoter of the “Great Reset”] will be proud of you. The globalist plans can be carried out – and the next step towards mass surveillance and total control can be taken.

You know things are bad when such simple, self-evident, commonsensical truths sound radical. In a sane world, the general response to this would be “well, no shit Sherlock” rather than shrieks of “paranoid conspiracy theory!” and “right-wing extremist!” But, well, here we all are.

Andrea refers to Baudet as “a politician,” which I felt was somewhat light on detail. So I looked this fine fella up.

Thierry Henri Philippe Baudet (born 28 January 1983) is a Dutch politician, academic and author. He is the founder and leader of Forum for Democracy (FVD), and has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2017. He also serves as the party’s parliamentary leader. He is a controversial politician due to his political views.

Well, of COURSE he is. He’s pro-liberty, pro-individual rights, pro-border security, and anti-commie. You don’t get much more controversial than that.

Baudet is a national conservative and Eurosceptic, advocating for both Netherlands’ exit from the European Union and its eventual dissolution. He is against unskilled immigration into the Netherlands. In a speech he spoke about immigration causing a homeopathic dilution of the Dutch culture and in an interview he said he wants to preserve the native cultures and ethnicities of Europe as they are. He is opposed to Ukraine joining the European Union. Forum for Democracy set up the 2016 Dutch Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement referendum with the GeenStijl website and the Burgercomité EU association, in which Baudet voted no.

Baudet has a strong opinion on arts, the topic of his book Oikofobie, and considers non-Western art and Western post-1900 modernism in visual arts inferior to Western Realism, encourages education and programmation of tonal music opposed to atonal music and dislikes modern post-1950 architecture. In reaction to this, Musicologist Yuri Landman warned Baudet for approaching the concept of degenerate art with his conservative criticism.

MY GOD, the man is LITERALLY HITLER!!!™

Baudet is critical of Islam and has expressed concern about both high levels and lack of assimilation of migrants from Islamic societies. He has stated his disagreement with the proposals made by fellow Dutch politician Geert Wilders to ban copies of the Koran. Meanwhile, he also praised Wilders as someone who “has put on the agenda the significant problem that we have with radical Islam in our time and Muslim immigration.” Baudet has called for Islamic schools in the Netherlands to sign up with Western values. He has criticised both Dutch and wider European handling of immigration and assimilation. During the 2017 Dutch general election Baudet was one of the few Dutch politicians who said he would form a coalition with Wilders’ Party for Freedom. Baudet has also expressed admiration for Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn and both ideological and personality comparisons between the two men have been made by both Dutch and foreign media.

Okay, I take it back. Clearly, he is the Antichrist.

Wikishitlibped(ophil)ia goes on to say that Baudet “has also allegedly made anti-semitic comments,” which I’ll take to mean that he didn’t, whilst mulling over why any shitlib would feel particularly bothered by it if he had. Who knows, he could have at that, which I wouldn’t be noways cool with myself. But he’s such a rara avis in Europe these days that even someone who finds rabid (((JOOOO!!))) hate as tiresome and off-putting as I do might be inclined to at least consider letting him slide on it for the nonce, in the hope that his view would mature. As far as I can see right now I must say that, overall, I like the cut of his jib, and wish we had more like him.

It ain’t just here, it ain’t just us

The other night, I said:

My own view, which shifts on the regular these days, is that if the current middling-temperature conflict ever DOES go full-on hot, the form it will most likely take will be sabotage, monkey-wrenchery, and shoot-and-scoot sniper activity, perhaps even scattered small-unit raids undertaken by people with the training and experience to pull it off.

And then this happened.

Hundreds of troops from Belgium, and beyond, have now thoroughly searched a vast area in the country where a fugitive soldier armed with highly dangerous weapons is believed to be hiding. However, no trace of him has been found.

A well-trained sniper from the Belgian army, Jurgen Conings, who has combat experience in several war zones including Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon, disappeared on Monday. Having reportedly left life-threatening notes to several top officials, the 46-year-old man is believed to have taken several anti-tank missiles, a submachine gun and a handgun with an ability to pierce bulletproof vests from his unit’s ammunition depot. He himself is believed to be wearing the vest.

Conings is now a “terrorist suspect,” according to Belgian media. The federal prosecutor’s office has been investigating him for “attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons in a terrorist context,” the VRT broadcaster reported. Authorities also believe the suspect has not been “acting on impulse,” but is rather well-prepared.

Throughout the week, some 400 Belgian troops, from both the army and the police, have been rigorously searching the Hoge Kempen National Park in the Belgian province of Limburg. Helicopters, armored cars and trucks were deployed for the manhunt, while hundreds searched the nature reserve meter by meter equipped with thermal cameras. Forces from Germany and the Netherlands have been mobilized, as the area where Conings is believed to be hiding borders these countries. Dutch special units are also on standby on their side of the border in case the man tries to cross.

A number of mosques in the Limburg province have closed, local media reported, due to the heavily armed man’s known far-right extremist views.

Note the bold. You will be seeing this material again.

Earlier, a car belonging to the suspect was found. The military man, who had also been training other soldiers for foreign missions, has reportedly booby-trapped his vehicle with four rocket launchers inside. A grenade with a set of wires linking it to the car’s doors are said to have been discovered. There have also been reports that Conings left his service medals on his parents’ grave, with sources suggesting he did it on Tuesday.

Looks like “rather well-prepared” might have understated the case a mite.

Conings’ girlfriend, Gwendy, is reported to be the one who alerted the authorities to her partner’s disappearance on Monday. She reportedly discovered several letters left behind, with local media quoting Conings as writing he “could no longer live in a society where politicians and virologists have taken everything away from us,” so he “would join the resistance and would not surrender.”

If being enraged enough by the installation of de facto tyranny to take concrete steps against the “politicians and virologists” who did it—and they most certainly did do it—is now a “right-wing extremist” view, well hey, I’m a-okay with being considered a right-wing extremist mydamnedself.

Heads up

Two tips for y’all that may very well come in useful in the days ahead. First, our old friend Chris Muir recommends that saner, non-Leftwit sorts seriously consider dumping PayPal for Authorize-dot-net.

I have no knowledge or experience with ’em myself; I’ll look into it and see what’s up. Having known Chris for many years now, I can tell you folks that I completely trust his judgment and smarts, and figure that any suggestion he makes along any such lines is likely a good one.

Second, entrepreneur extraordinaire Mike Lindell is launching a competitor for Amazon.

Mike Lindell is fighting back!

After he was canceled by retailers, Mike Lindell is starting his own online store: MyStore.com

MyStore is going to rival Amazon, Mike says.

“For years entrepreneurs and inventors have come to me with products and ideas. They don’t know how to market them, and I haven’t had the time to show them,” Lindell said in a video on the (Business Insider—M) site.

“I am going to put vetted products from great entrepreneurs on here, like you see a sampling of them here today, that are going to change this country,” he continued.

“We’re finally going to be able to see these products and be able to get these great entrepreneurs, their great ideas, out to you, the public.”

The site also proclaims that there are “hundreds” of products coming soon, and it includes a link to a form for people to submit applications for “products ready for market.”

Lindell has set himself a truly Herculean task with this venture, and I wish him every success. His “MyStore” can be visited here.

The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.
