Dead things

Steyn on going with the flow.

G K Chesterton wrote in The Everlasting Man “about the direction in which the world is going. People were so certain about the direction that they differed only about the pace”. But America’s politics barely musters that profound a conflict: AOC wants radical judges to overturn the remnants of the constitutional order; Lindsey Graham votes to confirm them all anyway. It’s not an argument about the pace, only one’s publicly stated enthusiasm for it.

As to their certainty about “the direction” we’re headed, Chesterton remarks a paragraph or two later:

A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it.

There are a lot of “dead things” going with the stream. The United States military is utterly dead, at least in terms of being a force of influence in the world for anyone other than German supermarket managers dependent on the local base’s patronage. Thoroughly Modern Milley goes with the flow because he’s all ribbons and no chest. Pentagon press releases read like Teen Beat in the Seventies. Last Wednesday, as the chaos at the gates of Hamid Karzai International was beamed around the world, the United States Army stayed on message:

V Corps Hosts ‘Don’t Date A Jerk’ Workshop

FORT KNOX, Kentucky — V Corps Soldiers took the opportunity to enrich their personal lives during the chaplain-led single Soldiers Strong Bonds retreat in Mason, Ohio, Aug. 20-23.

The retreat, themed “How to Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk,” taught Soldiers relationship enhancement with a focus on the importance of picking a future partner that leads to a healthy, sustainable relationship.

The United States has picked the Taliban as its “future partner”. Are you really going to take relationship lessons from Milley & Co?

The following day, as near two hundred poor souls were blown to smithereens, the Pentagon’s irredeemably oblivious wankers were Tweeting up a storm about “Women’s Equality Day”, even as the women they abandoned are being fitted for their Sharia body-bags.

I saw on Twitter some veterans objecting to Tucker Carlson’s ongoing mockery of a military that boasts of new flight suits for pregnant fighter pilots: Yeah, right, they scoffed at Tucker, let us know when you’ve been through boot camp. The only point of boot camp is to assist in the winning of wars. If you can’t win a war, boot camp is bollocks: it does not fulfill its purpose. How can you be so tone-deaf, so self-unaware that you don’t realize that it’s not just some Faux News blowhard but near the entirety of the planet that’s laughing at you? You’ve just given the guys who pulled off 9/11 a victory bonus of 22,174 humvees to ride around in, and you’re so bloody out of it you want to talk about boot camp? Every veteran should be joining that poor shmuck who got fired the other day and demanding mass resignations at the Pentagon. And, if you’re not, carry on with the boot-camp braggadocio for the next seven decades of unwon wars, and see what things are like by then. The US military needs to be much smaller, leaner, meaner, and way savvier about the world.

I find most of the US news coverage of what’s happening somewhat narrow: on the right, it’s all about leaving no American behind; on the left, it’s about leaving none of the 4.7 million (at the time of writing) Afghan interpreters behind. Everywhere else, it’s about a world leaving America behind.

But so what? Most Americans have little appetite for the tedious chores of global hegemon; they’re already shrugging off Afghanistan for the exciting victories closer to home: Harvard’s new “chaplain” is an atheist; DC’s most elite private schools have decided that “physics classes will include discussions of social justice such as kneeling during the national anthem”; in California, high-schoolers now place their hands on their hearts before the LGBTQWERTY flag and teacher Kristin Pitzen declares, “I pledge allegiance to the queers.” There is nothing progressive or edgy or groovy about these weary provocations: American education is merely another dead thing, inert and decayed and drifting with the stream. The contempt in which it is held by Xi and Macron alike is entirely deserved.

Out there, in towns you’ve never heard of, among people you’ve never heard of, there is still life in America, but to survive they will have to give up reflex veneration for institutions that despise them. The urgent objective is to throw off this awful diseased albatross of a self-enriching know-nothing Sino-suck-up elite whose chosen frontman’s decrepitude was designed to teach voters that electoral politics is entirely irrelevant as a mechanism of change. Any meaningful course correction will not come from McConnell and McCarthy: You have to shift the direction, and the dead thing of Conservatism Inc will drift along with the flow.

To the rest of the planet, the last fortnight has made the legendary “moderate” a too perfect embodiment of the superpower as rotting cadaver. Oh, but the corpse knows who his enemies are: After British cabinet ministers were quoted in the Washington press as calling Biden “senile” and “doolally”, the Telegraph reports that Joe is bent on revenge.

Yeah, sure, whatever…

The world is moving on.

Our sole consolation is that all our precious, mollycoddled white-shitlibs here at home, Mr and MX Karen and Ken Pissypants, are really not going to enjoy where it’s going.

The truth about Joe

He isn’t and never has been a nice guy, a bright guy, an honest guy, or a guy you can trust any further than you could throw, say, a diplodocus. And he never will be.

President Joe Biden has always thought he was the smartest man in the room, even when it’s clear that he’s not.
Take his response to the Afghanistan crisis, for example. Not only did he delay addressing the nation about the Taliban takeover and subsequent American evacuation problems in Kabul, but he has also refused to take responsibility for the lack of planning associated with the botched withdrawal, and offered flippant looks at his watch and anecdotes about his own son’s death to cancer as a response to the grieving families who lost their loved ones in the Kabul explosion last week.

Any speech that he gives is plagued with nonsensical verbiage, uncomfortable pauses, and weird comments about how he is or isn’t allowed to answer questions from specific people about specific topics.

“I think I probably have a much higher IQ than you do, I suspect,” Biden told one voter who asked him about his educational background.

Only if you’re speaking to a ten year old with Down’s Syndrome at the time, genius. Or perhaps a near-dead birch tree riddled with honey fungus. And even then, it’d be debatable.

In addition to claiming that he attended law school “on a full academic scholarship” and was “the only one in my class” to do so, Biden falsely claimed that he completed school in the top half of his graduating class, was rewarded for being an outstanding student of political science, and earned three undergraduate degrees.

These claims are all verifiably false, the Washington Post notes. Biden’s full academic scholarship “was a half scholarship based on financial need,” he finished 76th out of 85 in his class, he was not rewarded for being an outstanding political science student, and his only degree from the University of Delaware was “a single B.A. in political science and history.”

It wasn’t until he was peppered with allegations of plagiarism that the high-achieving student Biden painted himself as was reduced to a guy who flunked a law school class after using pieces of a law review article in one of his papers without citation.

Somehow, Biden’s political career has stayed alive this long, but his egotistical, rash, angry approach to the presidency isn’t going to last forever.

From the look of things at the moment, it may not last another week. Which is all it should have lasted to begin with. It’s apparent that his Deep State puppeteers are just about done with his ass; the drooling pedophile is no longer useful to them, so the groundwork is being laid for his sudden, “tragic” death from “the Covid Delta plus plus plus plus plus variant.”

High crimes and misdemeanors

Sooo…they impeached Trump over a phone call, did they?

As Biden repeats claim that ‘nobody could have known’ Afghan Army would collapse, bombshell transcript from July reveals he pressured Afghan President Ghani to create ‘perception’ Taliban wasn’t winning ‘WHETHER IT’S TRUE OR NOT’
President Joe Biden wanted the now-departed Afghan president to create the ‘perception’ that his government was capable of holding off the Taliban – an indication he knew it was only a matter of time before the US ally fell to the Islamic group even while reassuring Americans at home that it would not happen.

In the last phone call between Biden and his Afghan then-counterpart Ashraf Ghani, the American president said they needed to change perceptions of the Taliban’s rapid advance ‘whether it is true or not,’ according to excerpts published on Tuesday.

Biden on Tuesday repeated his assertion that his team was caught flat-footed by the rapid Taliban takeover of the country.

‘The assumption was that more than 300,000 Afghan national security forces that we had trained over the past two decades, and equipped, would be a strong adversary in their civil wars with the Taliban,’ Biden told the nation in a televised speech from the White House on Tuesday.

As my grandma used to say: the dirty stinking son of a bitch would rather climb a tree and tell a lie than stand on the ground and tell the truth. This is a “man” so has lied so often, so outrageously, and so shamelessly over the course of his undistinguished and self-serving career that he probably had a hard time remembering what was true and what wasn’t even before he started going senile.

Just kidding about what I said in the opening line, gang. We all know very well that no such thing is ever going to happen, no matter what Grampy Gropey might get himself up to. If justice is ever to be visited upon him and his fellow reprobates—for ANYTHING they’ve done, DID do, or are STILL doing—well, consider it one of the many, many things Real Americans will just have to handle themselves.

Moar Ashcanistan HILARITY

Having your cake ice cream and eating it too.

Some commentary on Biden’s speech:

Biden always does the same thing when this demented old slurring, lisping fool wants to sound “tough:” He just yells.

I think his handlers believe his lisping and slurring are less pronounced when he’s yelling like an old lunatic.

90% of Americans who wanted to leave have been evacuated, Biden says.

Yay! 90%! That’s an A minus!!!

OUT: This was my call and the buck stops with me

IN: This was Trump’s idea, you know

This is a great point: Biden is claiming simultaneously that this is a great success and also blaming Trump for the failure.

What?

Time once again for one of my all-time favorite lines, from one of my all-time favorite movies:

Diane (Darryl Hannah): You don’t even bother to lie to me carefully anymore, Charlie. It’s an insult to be lied to so obviously.
Charlie (Mickey Rourke): Diane, I’ll tell you what…tomorrow I’m gonna turn over a new leaf, and I promise you, my lies will be a whole lot better.

Only I can’t say I expect Faux Jaux’s lies to get any better, honestly. No consolation, just confirmation:

Kurt Schlichter sums up.

The last word (for now) has to go to Gold Star mother Shana Chappell, who gave Faux Jaux a full-on, double-barreled blast right in his lying face.

And right after that, Twatter banned the poor woman—for her display of impudent disrespect for Our Beloved “President,” one presumes. Me, I think she nailed it. Kudos to Caleb Hull for defying the Dorstapo and resposting it.

Update! I keep calling the Biden Bugout “the gift that keeps on giving,” and damned if it doesn’t keep proving to be the case.

Biden Left Behind the Afghan Interpreter Who Helped to Rescue Him in 2008

Because of course he did.

Joe Biden has told a lot of stories over the years, most designed to puff himself up, and some of them with very little relationship to reality.

But there’s one story that he tells that does have some relationship to reality — that’s the story of having to land in a helicopter in the woods of Afghanistan in 2008. He often told the story to add to his alleged foreign policy credentials when he was running for office.

From WaPo:

“If you want to know where al Qaeda lives, you want to know where [Osama] bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me,” he said on the campaign trail in October, just months after the February rescue. “Come back to the area where my helicopter was forced down…in the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are.”

Now, Joe being Joe, there’s puffery there — they weren’t exactly near al Qaeda, and their helicopter was “forced down” by a snowstorm, not by any enemy action. But, it was true that it had to land and there was potential danger, given he was a U.S. senator and there with two other U.S. senators — Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE).

But one of the people who came to his rescue was a man named Mohammed, who was a 36-year-old Afghan interpreter. Mohammed came out with members of the 82nd Airborne and three Blackwater SUVS from Bagram Air Field, driving hours through the snowstorm to help. Once he got there, he helped to ward off any locals until the military was able to get the Black Hawk out of there. Thanks to Mohammed and the rest, Joe Biden got out of there safely.

But now Mohammed is stuck, with his four children, in hiding from the Taliban, after years of helping the United States — even helping Biden himself.

“Hello Mr. President: Save me and my family,” Mohammed said to The Wall Street Journal, as the Americans pulled the military out. “Don’t forget me here…I can’t leave my house…I am very scared.”

Why after everything –after over 122,000 people that they supposedly got out — is Mohammed and his family still there? He’s the perfect example of the person that we gave our word to save, and there are likely few interpreters like him that could say they even saved Joe Biden.

Doesn’t matter a whit. If there’s one thing we know about the Big Guy after all these years, it’s that he doesn’t give a fart in a whirlwind about anything or anyone but himself. Now that he barely even knows where he is anymore, why on earth would that basic fact change all of a sudden?

Okay, there’s sooo much more to cover Biden Bugout-wise, I think I’ll just start up a fresh new post for it. No way I’ll ever get to it all, but hey, I’ll do what I can here.

Another cri de coeur

If they could scrape up a working conscience between the whole sorry lot of ’em, this Gold Star mother’s howl of rage and heartbreak would hit them right where they lived. But they can’t, so it won’t.

The mother of slain U.S. Marine Rylee McCollum spoke out in a radio interview Saturday.

“Every Democrat who is listening, you did this to my son,” the marine’s mother, Kathy McCollum, said.

“My son did die in vain. This was an unnecessary debacle. It could have been handled properly. They had months and months to remove everyone from Afghanistan and they chose not to. And so they sent in freaking what? 6,000 troops? And my son, through the laws of statistics, my son was one of the ones that just got blown up in a freaking terrorist bomb yesterday,” McCollum said.

“I never thought in a million years that he would die for nothing. For nothing. Because a feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap wanted a photo-op on Sept. 11, that’s what kills me,” McCollum said.

“Dementia-ridden piece of crap needs to be removed from office, it never would have happened under Trump,” McCollum also said.

He does, as do they all. Sorry, ma’am, but that will never happen via VOTING HARDERER!™ at them; like it or not, it is a solidly-established fact that three of the Four Boxes of Liberty have failed us. So what we gonna do about that, then?

2

Lesson? WHAT lesson?

Seeing Roger Kimball rip the guts right out of him this way, one could almost feel sorry for the pRetend pResident. If he wasn’t a fork-tongued, venomous, belly-crawling snake in the grass, I mean.

Does anyone, even the most thoroughgoing NeverTrump enemy of the former president, think anything like this would have happened on Trump’s watch?

There were so many horrible things about Biden’s cringe-making press conference, from the president’s body language—had he been supine, you sense that he would have curled up into the fetal position—to the gradually emerging realities that surrounded his talk.

At the conclusion of his prepared remarks, it was time for questions. Biden then looked down at a piece of paper and said, aloud, “The first person I was instructed to call on…” You would think his handlers would make some minimal effort to disguise their puppet’s subservience and incapacity.

No wonder the Taliban are busy trolling the Biden Administration, posing with ice-cream cones, re-enacting the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima in American uniforms but with a Taliban flag, vowing to battle “climate change” and ensure women’s rights “under Islamic law.” Ha ha ha. That’s the playful side of an ideology whose dark purpose was summed up by an Islamic radical in the aftermath of 9/11. “We are not fighting so that you will offer us something,” he said. “We are fighting to eliminate you.”

Accordingly, the proper response to this ideology is not to offer it partnerships in the hope that you can make a mutually satisfying deal that caters to everyone’s “self-interest.” On the contrary, the proper response is to understand, as Benjamin Netanyahu put it, that we are dealing here with “a war to reverse the triumph of the West.”

Our leaders, from a mentally compromised president through the puffed-up woke triumvirate of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd “stand down” Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Mark “white-rage–I-read-Karl-Marx” Milley, are constitutionally incapable of taking that reality on board. They are figures fit to lead the Eloi, not patriotic Americans.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration just announced it conducted a drone strike that may have killed two people who might have been ISIS-K “planners.” We don’t really know, however, because the Pentagon will not release the names of the targets.  In other words, as the commentator Raheem Kassam observed, “Joe Biden gave a list of Americans to the Taliban but won’t give the names of the terrorists he claims to have retaliated against to the American public.” I suppose the attack was in fulfillment of the little currant of tough talk someone inserted into Biden’s remarks: “We will not forgive, we will not forget, we will hunt you down and make you pay.”

Want to bet?

I found that patently empty threat pretty amusing myself, considering how we just got chased our asses chased out of Talibanistan pretty damned handily after two decades of chasing our tails and failing utterly to “make them pay”—the very tails, mind, that we later tucked neatly between our legs as we scurried away in the Biden Bugout. So yeah, Tough Guy Joe, the No Bull President, ostensibly drone-smoked a couple of low-level nonentities—what one wag called “Taliban HR personnel,” which is probably about the size of it— to “make them pay” for taking out more than a dozen of our own, not to even mention the thousands of soon-to-be-murdered American civilians who are even now being “hunted down” by people who, unlike our “leadership,” actually do mean business.

Yeah, THAT’LL show ’em, Joe! Way to retaliate, Big Guy! Vengeance: OURS! American honor and respect: FULLY RESTORED!!

THREE GROANS FOR THE BIG GUY, EVERYBODY!!!

1

Spanked!

Also: PWNED. And a few other choice things, too. Remember Nazimerican Cindy Bronson, a staff sergeant in the late, lamented US Army? Well, Aesop certainly does, and he has a few things he’d like to say to her. Strong message follows:

Dear disloyal fascist peawit: You are a No-Go at the stations marked Oath Of Service, ROE, and Basic Common Fucking Sense, and are Too Fucking Stoopid to wear any stripes, except the prison variety. Your recruiter should be crotch-kicked for about 3 days straight, by a conga line of prior service former drill sergeants, just to make the point. How you ever got past basic training highlights the sad lack of any standards for military service in this country, and getting all the way to staff NCO rank shows that the Army gives out promotions to fucktards like they couldn’t find such unredeemed shitheads fast enough. You are the poster child for abolishing a standing army, and throwing the lot of you into prison until your initial enlistments are up, or for a term commensurate with your time in-service for people like you. If they drummed you out afterwards, and marched you at bayonet-point across the Bridge Of No Return at Panmunjon into North Korea at the DMZ, and tore up your American citizenship papers behind you, it would be too good for you, and far too light a sentence.

But be advised, if martial law is ever declared in America, Motor Transport Operators (that would truck drivers) like you should be informed that under such likely unconstitutional eventuality, the range will (be) hot in both directions, and you won’t get your weapon out of its holster before you get popped right between the running lights. They won’t name any bridges after you, but you can bet your body parts will be used to decorate one. And what’ll go on any grave of yours, if anyone bothers to shoo away the pigs feeding on whatever’s left, won’t pass for flowers.

But after recent events, you’ll understand why precisely no one in the entire nation is quaking in its collective boots at the fear of what you, or even the entire Army, think you’ll do. You won’t get what you like, and you won’t like what you’ll get. (cf. Lord Cornwallis) {Yet another strike against Common Core grads like SSGT Bulldyke, is that she probably couldn’t come up with the significance of the reference, even with a cellphone, three lifelines, and a shout-out.}

So put away your finger gun, and stick your thumb back into your cockholster, you would-be-Nazi stormtrooper cunt, before you beclown the entire U.S. Army more thoroughly than the events of the last two weeks have already done.

Dude, I mean, just…OUCH. Plenty more raucous bitch-slappery where that come from, all of it equally well-said. I also would like to commend Aesop, a former Marine his own bad self, for a most righteous response to the other night’s post wherein I lauded LTC Stuart Scheller, USMC—a Dogface’s Dogface and bona fide American hero of the old-school variety. Which we don’t seem to making too many of anymore, to our national shame and great loss.

LtCol Scheller, relieved of command of his battalion of Marines, and soon to be court-martialed, and dismissed from the service, started out as a grass-green 2dLt in 2004. He’s thus been fighting this war his entire adult life.

He is now olive green, and hard as crocodile dicks.

And he’s the only active duty Marine officer from 2d Lt to 4-star Commandant Hamhead Berger who can ever walk around with his head held high and his honor clean, no matter what aspersions are cast at him, nor what shenanigans are pulled on him by the chain of command.

He just embarrassed the living hell out of every officer in the Marine Corps, and for that matter, every other service, from full colonel on up, for them ALL being too chickenshit to do what he just did: call out the rent-seeking, ass-licking bullshit they’ve all participated in for any amount of time you’d care to name.

The Marines haven’t seen heroism like this since Capt. Jordan climbed onto an Israeli tank in Lebanon in 1983, and suggested to the colonel commanding that tank that trying to pass his Marine checkpoint without authorization would be career-ending, in a brains-all-over-the-turret sort of way. The tank commander rethought his plan, and departed intact.

LtCol Scheller just did the same thing to Commandant Berger and the entire Marine Corps and DoD chain of command, all the way to Gropey Dopey, and they unhesitatingly chose the path of dishonor. They might as well go full retard, and kill themselves. they can never get the yellow stains out of their pants, and they’ll never get the yellow stripe off their backs.

And for icing on the cake: the bomb that killed a dozen Marines was made with explosives left behind without being blown in place, by the Air Force etc. @$$holes who chickenshitted out of Bagram Airbase in the dead of night.

That right there is Dereliction Of Duty, and 12 counts of Manslaughter under the UCMJ.
UCMJ Article 92: Failure to Obey Order or Regulation (thebalancecareers.com)
UCMJ Article 119 Manslaughter – Court Martial Defense Attorney (ucmjlaw.com)

Call me when the worthless sons of bitches responsible for that colossal homicidal fuckup, from multi-star generals on down, are rightfully prosecuted and justly imprisoned in Leavenworth for the blood of heroic Marines now on their hands.

I ain’t holding my breath.

And no matter what happens to him henceforth for speaking the inconvenient truth, Scheller has a backbone of pure titanium, and balls the size of church bells.

Anyone asked ought to be honored to follow him, even through the gates of hell.

Semper Fi, Leatherneck!

Well said again, and seconded heartily—for whatever that might be worth, coming as it does from a cake-eating civilian like myself.

Done deal

In all honesty, we were never going to back Taiwan with anything more than a “strong statement” of condemnation, whether Zhou Bai-Ding was pretending to be “***President***” or not.

I’ve heard multiple rumors of an incipient invasion of Taiwan – incipient meaning sometime in September or October – from various sources. Some of them are flying around the chans, as AC notes:

There was an anon on 4Chan who claimed to be an insider at State, and he said China offered Biden a deal – they would tell him when the Taiwan invasion would begin, and in return he would not tell Taiwan, and he would promise to not get involved. Supposedly Biden took the deal, and the date is Sept 25th. Supposedly it will be two weeks of aerial bombardment, followed by a land invasion.

I’m very skeptical of that particular rumor, because I expect Taiwan to submit within 24 hours of the mainland launching an attack of any kind. Unless the Red Army begins with an invasion, there shouldn’t be any need for anything more than a relatively peaceful occupation.

While I have no trouble at all believing that the amoral, treacherous snake Biden* would make such a deal without so much as batting an eye, and think myself that China will indeed have been emboldened enough by the US show of supine weakness that was the Biden Bugout to be confident they can make their long-dreamed-of move at last with total impunity, I too find this particular rumor…ummm, not credible, shall we say. Bill puts it more bluntly.

Something may happen in September. That certainly wouldn’t surprise me, especially given the pathetic state of the US government and its military. But far more likely is the abrupt announcement that, after secret talks, Taiwan has agreed to a deal similar to the one Hong Kong got when the British Empire and its guarantees crumbled away.

The American Empire’s guarantees to Taiwan are now revealed as equally flimsy and precarious, and I expect the outcome to be similar. Certainly no other force in the world can guarantee Taiwan’s independence, and I think all sides now understand this.

Having made such a habit of floundering and flailing our way into (and then out of, tails tightly tucked) several brush-fire conflicts over the last couple of decades alone, it is now abundantly clear that there ain’t no way our paper-tiger military could guarantee Tawain’s independence either. Or anybody else’s for that matter, including our own.

Which is not necessarily the fault of the rank and file soldiery, of course, but that of its overlawyered High Command, along with a cringing, milquetoast body politic that can no longer abide war of any intensity or fought for any cause, and who faint dead away at the mere thought of aggression, conflict, and/or bloodshed.

Higher, for its part, works a lot harder these days at getting in the way of the boys on the sharp end to the greatest extent possible, with their absurd ROEs and their cringing over “collateral damage” and such-like, than they do at finding ways to kill and defeat the enemy. Although with the New Woke Model Army we’re busy a-building, that’s changing fast; the rank and file is becoming every bit as effete and inept as their mincing leadership. Which, given how things are going lately, might turn out to be a GOOD thing for the rest of us before all is said and done.

As for Taiwan, along with any other of our hapless allies who were gullible enough to take US promises to defend them at all seriously: Sorry, suckers, and so long. You’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, and are on your own. Like every small-time left-wing dictatorship, this one will expend way more time, effort and resources on subjugating and doing damage to its domestic population than it ever will trying to live up to its foreign-treaty obligations. Being of the exact same stripe itself, Red China’s dictators are fully aware of this, which bodes extremely not-well for Taiwan in particular.

*PLEASE NOTE: Any time I mention “***President***” Biden, especially to say he’s done this or will do that or the other thing, do be aware that it’s actually the puppeteer who has his hand up Faux Jaux’s shirt and is making his mouth move I’m really referring to

Biden Bugout counteroffensive

Via TSM and WRSA: the Left tries to lend a hand with BaiDing’s pathetic “all Trump’s fault” blameshift, Correia flushes that shit down

(WARNING: this and the next link below are to Deep State propaganda mill Facebook).

For the first few days of the Afghanistan clusterfuck, most lefties were keeping their heads down. It was remarkably quiet. Well apparently they got their new download because I’ve seen the same ridiculous narrative suddenly show up a ton over the last 24 hours. Drive bys in nearly every post, all saying the same thing.

“This was all Trump’s plan/fault/date and there was nothing Biden could do.”

Okay, let’s destroy this bullshit narrative, because it’s fucking pernicious.

Did Trump plan on removing the military before the civilians? Did Trump plan on abandoning our secure air base in the middle of the night without even telling our allies? Did Trump’s plan include giving a list of all our friends, allies, and countrymen to the Taliban? Did Trump intend to give the Taliban biometric scanners and records so our friends could be identified? Did Trump plan on leaving our allies hanging so badly that he’d get censored by fucking Parliament? Did Trump’s plan include leaving billions of dollars of weapons and equipment behind for the Taliban? Did Trump plan on a chaotic clusterfuck of an evacuation from an unsecure airport with people falling off of airplanes? Would Trump command our soldiers to stay at the airport while the French, English, Poles, and Hungarians ran rescue missions into the city to get their people? Did Trump plan on trusting airport security to the motherfucking goat raping Taliban so that our people could get killed by suicide bombers?

And if so, if that was Trump’s plan all along… WHY THE FUCK DID BIDEN NOT COME UP WITH A BETTER PLAN?

Even if these lying ass bastards were right (they aren’t) and the worst foreign policy fuck up in our lifetimes was exactly what Trump wanted to do, the fact that the Biden administration didn’t come up with something better would still all be on their heads.

And I’m not saying Trump is blameless, oh no. The blame for this whole thing goes back two decades, republican and democrat, senior military leadership, the state department, and the intelligence community, lots of highly paid experts and PhDs in international relations all covering their asses together.

However, the blame for this clusterfuck, this one operation, this infuriating, embarrassing, goat rope of a withdrawal, is all on Joe Biden, his puppeteers, and the people who were gullible/selfish enough to install him into office.

You voted for this shit. We warned you he was corrupt and incompetent, and all the evidence showed he was corrupt and incompetent, but you kicked us off the internet, looked the other way, and now you fucking own this. Quit making excuses. Quit lying. Own it. Help fix it. Or shut the fuck up.

Larry expands on these thoughts in a follow-on post:

On one of my other posts somebody made the old joke about “don’t hold back, tell us how you really feel.” and Jack Wylder (who does know me really well in real life) told the guy that I actually was holding back.

Jack’s right, because if I said what I really think right now, I’d probably end up in jail. And I’m not talking facebook jail either. That’s how pissed off and disgusted I am today.

Worst part is, I don’t think most people realize just how terrible it’s probably going to get if we stay on this destructive, foolish, authoritarian path. The people no longer trust any of the institutions that they’re supposed to be able to count on. The “experts” don’t realize how much fury and tension has built up in regular, boring, law-abiding America. And our elite betters just keep telling us we’re stupid, and our concerns don’t matter.

Regular people see the lies, the corruption, and the fact that nobody is ever held accountable, even for things that they’d destroy regular people for. They’re not stupid. They’re just slow to action because of fear or inertia. The state forgets it has the monopoly on force only because the people have delegated that to the state, in the belief that the state would impartially obey the law, but once too much faith in the state is lost, the people can take it back.

We haven’t had record gun sales (especially to new people) because of Americans’ rosy outlook for their future.

Law abiding people are law abiding until they aren’t. I don’t know what stupid bullshit thing is going to finally push a critical mass of people over the edge, but I’m worried that we’re getting closer, and what comes after that terrifies me.

As well it might, and should. On the other hand, what other choice is there? What other option have they left us with, other than to submit unconditionally? Because this is where we are now:

EXCLUSIVE: Active Duty, Retired Naval Intelligence Members Told They Cannot ‘Disrespect’ Biden Over Afghanistan Debacle
Top leadership at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) informed active duty and retired service members that they cannot condemn President Joe Biden amid the chaotic — and now deadly — pullout of American troops from Afghanistan.
In an email from the ONI’s Chief of Staff, ONI members were reminded that per a Uniform Code of Military Justice and Department of Defense Directive clause they cannot disrespect senior government leadership. This includes the President, Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, and more.

Per the same uniformed personnel policy, ONI members cannot participate in partisan political activity or distribute partisan political literature. An internal ONI member told The Daily Wire that these policies were more relaxed under the Trump administration and recalled retired officers condemning the former President.

Because of course it was. So, to sum up then: Real Americans are now under the guns of a US military establishment which has become so heavily politicized, so openly partisan, that it expressly forbids criticism of a clearly illegitimate, unfit, and treasonous “***President***” it nonetheless supports, even by its civilian employees…immediately after having permitted the same and worse throughout the entire term of a predecessor it didn’t like.

At this point, I see no use in reminding anybody involved of their oath of enlistment, wherein they swore to uphold the fucking US Constitution, not any particular elected official. They know full well that they’re in violation of said oath, and are flaunting their complete disregard for the principle behind it. And then there’s this:

Anybody think SSGT Flatrocker is in any way just joking around here? Or that she’d have any qualms about gunning down American dissidents, on US soil? Hell, the bull dagger seems positively eager to get this party started. I suspect she’s among a minority of her fellow soldiers, but I’m also damned sure she ain’t alone, and she and her like-minded colleagues, in whatever numbers, are unlikely in the extreme to leave any option for said dissidents but unconditional surrender. Whether or not we’re willing to kill for American freedom, I guarantee that she and hers are perfectly willing to do so for its polar opposite. That sound like something we can all live and be at ease with?

Finally, we come to this:

A US Marine was relieved of his command for publicly demanding senior US military brass take “accountability” for overseeing the execution of the pullout from Afghanistan after 13 troops died in Thursday’s suicide bombing.

“I have been relieved for cause based on a lack of trust and confidence…”  Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller posted on his social media page.

The soldier didn’t appear to be spiteful in the least.

“My chain of command is doing exactly what I would do… if I were in their shoes.”

The father of three who has served the US Marine Corps Infantry for 17 years first openly admitted that part of what compelled him to come forward to speak out was losing his comrades to the “mess going on [in Afghanistan].”

He questioned Marine Commandant Gen. David H. Berger, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A. Milley and expressed heavy-hearted emotions that these superiors were “supposed to advise.”

“People are upset because their senior leaders let them down, and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability and saying, ‘We messed this up,” he said in the video testimonial while decked out in his Marine uniform and first reported by Fox News.

Scheller called on the leaders in charge of the Afghanistan mission to explain why soldiers died as a result of the architecture of the evacuation.

“I’m not saying we need to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying, did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, ‘Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone?’

“Did anyone do that?

“And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, ‘We completely messed this up?'”

He then questioned the heart and honesty of the leaders of the Afghanistan withdrawal for “not holding up their end of the bargain.”

“Without that, we just keep repeating the same mistakes,” he said. “…I want to say this very strongly. I have been fighting for 17 years. I am willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders: I demand accountability.”

Now, I do understand about the importance of the chain of command and its role—proper channels, all that. There is a right time and place for this, as the saying goes, and Faceberg most definitely ain’t it. That’s not the point. This is: just as with LTC Scheller, we are all in an extremely fraught, dangerous and confusing situation. It’s my own belief that we’ve been purposely put here by treacherous scoundrels with evil intentions, but leave that aside for the moment.

Every day, it becomes more and more difficult to see the correct course of action, to identify friend from foe, to know who can be trusted and who cannot. Truth is falsehood, right is wrong, all is uncertainty and chaos. There is no clarity, no security or stability or constancy anywhere to be found. Even our mainstream churches have been corrupted.

Even the very earth under our feet feels as if it’s crumbling away, leaving us with no firm ground on which to stand. Is it any wonder, then, that LTC Scheller, in anguish and desperation, went about making his plea for justice and accountability in the way that he did? Can there be any realistic hope that we might find our way through and out of this insanity without bloodshed, and probably quite a lot of it? Steyn is discussing a different topic, but it’s related just the same.

Christmas has come early for Washington’s enemies. Literally. Kackling Kamala Harris was dispatched to Singapore to assure our allies that the hyperpower was not a complete laughingstock. Instead, she told her hosts that it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas is as kaput as the Karzai International gift shop:

‘If you want to have Christmas toys for your children, it might now be might be the time to start buying them, because the delay may be many, many months,’ she said.

Oh, my. Why would that be?

‘The climate crisis is fueling a lot of this. When we look at the stronger typhoons that have disrupted shipping lanes and sea level rise, which threatens port infrastructure as an example. So these are the many issues that are causing these disruptions.’

Uh-huh. So rising sea levels have washed away the massive container port at Long Beach, California, and the huge Toys R Us flotilla attempted to divert to Los Angeles but got swept away and down to Davy Jones’ locker by Typhoon Elmo. Did all 347 agencies of the “intelligence community” sign off on that?

Back in the real world, all America’s toys are made in China, in a huge Crap R Us warehouse behind the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And, as with everything else made under the supervision of Chairman Xi, there are suddenly strange, arbitrary disruptions to the supply chain, “supply chain” being a euphemism for the fact that global trade is a giant version of Kabal airport security, entirely reliant on our enemies. Like Blanche DuBois, Christmas depends on the kindness of strangers – and it would be asking too much to expect the Politburo, like the lads at the Taliban checkpoints, not to have some sport at our expense.

That’s another reason going to war with Chairman Xi over Taiwan would not end well: As the brass assured the Tommies in August 1914, it’ll all be over by Christmas – because the whinging brats on the home front aren’t going to put up with a stocking of tin soldiers, a satsuma and a rusting abacus.

I was thinking the other day of my appearance at the US Senate with the valiant Judith Curry, when we pushed back against a Massachusetts senator called Ed Markey for exceeding even the bounds of congressional codswallop…

After the above, I shall never be invited back to the Senate – because I “disrespected” Markey, a boob completely reliant on his staffers. (Is he fourth in line after Leahy? or is it Feinstein?) Don’t worry, I have no desire to go back – because it’s a crap dump of over-entouraged Emirs of Incumbistan entirely irrelevant to the world’s affairs.

But the whole ramshackle edifice rests on being taken seriously, and that is what I failed to do. I’m sure the Singaporeans listening to Khristmassy Kamala likewise knew it was bollocks on stilts, but somehow felt obliged to keep a straight face. So it goes with the court eunuchs of the press corps watching Biden slump over the lectern.

The excitable Mohammedans jumping up and down in the streets have never really needed to yell “Death to the Great Satan!” because the Grand Satan is doing a grand job of committing suicide. Not so long ago I mentioned Shirley Bassey’s reaction to Madonna’s title song at the premiere of the Bond film Die Another Day:

The opening titles and the song ended, and Dame Shirl yelled from the stalls, ‘Rubbish!’

Good for Shirley, and I wish there were more like her. That is a healthy reaction, and someone needs to say it to Kamala and Joe and Nancy and Thoroughly Modern Milley, Tailspin Taylor, Darth Plexi-Visor and all the rest. America has ceded global dominance to dark forces that nevertheless have an existential advantage: they are real, and animated by reality; we are utterly, contemptibly fake, warning of rising sea levels at Santa’s Grotto as halfwit goatherds blow us to kingdom come.

LTC Scheller’s last-ditch howl into the uncaring void defied the boundaries of proper procedure, wilfully breaking all the applicable rules and regulations. I deem him to be an honorable man and a good Marine nonetheless. Those rules and regulations were made for better times than these.

What comes next

An insightful look ahead, now that AINO is visibly coming apart at the seams.

Every honest student of contemporary affairs can tell that the Western style of liberal democracy fueled by a capitalism-socialism fusion is on it’s last legs. We can see the race to keep printing new “money” to stay ahead of inflation will eventually collapse on itself. The only reason it hasn’t fallen completely apart yet is the lack of a system wide shock but we are overdue for one and when it happens, the whole house of cards falls.

In interwar Germany, as the Weimar Republic rolled around in degeneracy like a pig in shit, two competing forces were vying to replace it. Neither wanted to control the Weimar Republic, they wanted to remake it into something else.

Everyone knows about the one side.

And on the other, as Arthur explains, was “the militant wing of the German Communist Party of that era which called itself Antifaschistische Aktion,” upon which the present-day pAntiFa plague of locusts is based.

I am not looking to lionize the Sturmabteilung in this post nor of course Antifaschistische Aktion. My point is that these two groups looked past the current system and sought to replace that system with a brand new system, at some level both groups understanding that the system was doomed and irredeemable. It wasn’t reform they were after, it was revolution.

We find ourselves in a similar era. Despite the obvious differences, the similarities cannot be ignored. People are frightened of what the future holds. Gone is any sense of sunny American optimism, replaced with dread of more economic insecurity, violence in the cities and the apparently now permanent state of panic over the plandemic. Most Americans don’t trust the election system, and increasingly the political divide has morphed into a visceral hatred of “The Other”. The language of violence is already rampant and getting steadily worse from the Left. A few weeks ago a person named Steve Cox running as an independent for Congress from California wrote that people who choose not to get the “vaccine” should be shot.

The entire society is teetering on the edge of widespread economic and social collapse and almost no one is still dumb enough to look to the governing authorities or any other institution for help. What exists today is dead and the only question that remains is what will replace the dead system? This requires a very different way of thinking:

We are not fighting for the right now, we are fighting for the future.

Who wants to win a fight to take over a dead and decaying system? The winners of this conflict will get to set the course for what remains of Western society, for good or ill, for the foreseeable future.

Current events are important of course and those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them but our focus should be on shaping what is to come, rather than seizing the reins of power in the right-now. As the saying goes, we aren’t going to vote our way out of this but grassroots organizing and creating both a physical and intellectual foundation to control the course of the future absolutely is feasible.

With the opportunity to kill Commies along the way, as many as possible, being just an added plus.

Without honor

A little reminder of who they really are, and what they’re really all about.

WASHINGTON — More than 200 retired generals and admirals endorsed Joe Biden for president in a letter published Thursday, saying he had the character and judgment to serve as commander-in-chief instead of President Donald Trump, who has failed “to meet challenges large or small.”

Some of the officers who signed the letter supporting Biden had retired only in the past few years, including Air Force Gen. Paul Selva, who served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump before he retired in August 2019; Vice Adm. Gardner Howe, a Navy SEAL leader who also retired last year; and retired Adm. Paul Zukunft, who oversaw the Coast Guard until 2018.

The retired top brass signed the letter backing Biden along with nearly 300 other former national security officials and diplomats. William Webster, the former director of the CIA and the FBI, was among the signatories, along with five former defense secretaries: William Perry, William Cohen, Chuck Hagel, Leon Panetta and Ash Carter.

By law, military service members must remain apolitical while in uniform, but most senior officers stay out of the political arena even after they hang up their uniforms. Although the number of retired senior officers wading into politics has steadily increased over the past two decades, Thursday’s letter was notable for the sheer number of top brass from every branch of the military who chose to endorse Biden.

Some of the statements in this letter are nothing short of jaw-slackening, particularly in light of recent events.

The retired officers and officials said the country needs a principled, honest leader who shows empathy for fellow citizens, values alliances, makes informed decisions and takes personal responsibility.

“While some of us may have different opinions on particular policy matters, we trust Joe Biden’s positions are rooted in sound judgment, thorough understanding, and fundamental values,” they wrote.

“The current President (ie, Trump—M) has demonstrated he is not equal to the enormous responsibilities of his office; he cannot rise to meet challenges large or small. Thanks to his disdainful attitude and his failures, our allies no longer trust or respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us,” the letter says.

Like I said, jaw-slackening stuff. But then we plummet from the dishonest, the clueless, and the downright absurd straight on down into laff-riot territory.

Climate change continues unabated, as does North Korea’s nuclear program. The president has ceded influence to a Russian adversary who puts bounties on the heads of American military personnel, and his trade war against China has only harmed America’s farmers and manufacturers,” it says.

Taking that point by point:

  • Climate change is going to go right ON “continuing unabated” too, same as it has ever since this planet first GOT a climate, and will always do. That’s what climates DO, fool
  • Ironically enough, Trump had actually made fair progress in his efforts to forge a more productive relationship with the Hermit Kingdom, all of which has now been undone
  • Sorry to be the one to clue ya in on it, guys, but that “Russian bounty” bushwa has long since been exposed as a brazen lie—another diabolical stratagem from those fine, upstanding patriots at CIA for its own nefarious purposes
  • The “trade war with China” did nothing whatsoever like what you falsely claim it did; in all honesty, though, I wouldn’t mind one little bit if those responsible for killing off American manufacturing and industry by relocating it to Red China ARE “harmed” in the end—not just financially, but physically, in a way that they’ll never forget

All in all, the Biden Bugout shows that everybody would be much better off—yourselves emphatically included—if our ass-covering, baglapping, back-stabbing Officer Class shitweasels spent way more of their time and attention on actually winning a war now and then, and way less of it pimping Woke politics. What a refreshing change THAT would be, eh?

JJ Sefton, after quoting Shakespeare’s famous and beloved “First thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers” advice, has the right of it: “Sorry, lawyers. You just lost your top spot.” Lawyers shouldn’t feel to bad about it, though; unlike US military and political “leadership” in the Ashcanistan debacle, the lawyers were supplanted fair and square, by an undeniably superior and more worthy opponent.

Cri de coeur

From a former NCO (E8) with Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children who is truly feeling it.

So after several years of listening to the faint of heart and the lowly in character sob over the use of wrong pronouns, the meritless claims of institutional racism, continual cries of inequity, inequality, privilege and oh yeah, mean tweets, we arrive at today’s latest fruit of globalist clap-trap; 13 dead American Service members and another 15 wounded by some as yet unnamed cabal of Satan worshipping cretins in Kabul.

This follows a week of watching one of the most disgraceful egress operations in the annals of Military History. And it is an easily foretold ending to an historically ill-advised military doctrine which supplanted the hunt-kill strategy in place in Afghanistan until June of 2009. I “predicted” this, that same fateful month and reiterated over the following decade.

I will remind those who forgot and the rest who have been too self-absorbed to know, that in June of 2009 Stanley McChrystal brought to light the fruit of a year of positing, posturing, submitting and frankly, undermining the probability of any kind of favorable outcome in what has been called, the Graveyard of Empires.

But make no mistake, the genesis of this horrific turn in Afghanistan rests with the then newly Minted/Corronated/Sainted, Barrack Hussein Obama 6 months earlier. Obama had been very clear in his narcissistic “memoir”, Audacity of Hope, pg 261 …” I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction…

What makes what we are witnessing in real time all the more frustrating is knowing his not too bright advisors had at least, warned him of the probability of failure a full 6 months before they pulled the metaphorical trigger on the egress.

Again, predictably, the White House Press Corps seems incapable or unwilling to ask the most obvious questions:

Why bother? It’s not as if there’s a snowball’s chance we’ll ever get the smallest grain of truth out of ’em, on this or any other topic.

Instead we have been treated to that age old political witchcraft, enjoined by both politician, bureaucrat, politruk and media entertainer alike: the effort to polish a turd. Somewhere along the line it became knee-jerk to spin a story, create a tale, redirect the public gaze and basically, lie, rather than own up to the mistake.

Unfortunately, a full 50% of this population is more than happy to play along and even gleeful at the prospect of actively participating as long as it props up their questionable selection for the Presidency.

Obama may have started us down this path.

Obama’s Politruk may have sullied themselves in the name of relevancy.

But it is Biden and his corral of miscreants who own this astoundingly shameful excuse for an egress.

And now he can add the names of at least 27 United States Marines; dead and wounded who were tasked with nothing short of a cleanup operation in a vain attempt to help a feckless “president” save face.

Democrats and their legion of facilitators would do well to learn at least one lesson:

Sometimes, a Turd is simply a Turd.

A-yup. The thing to keep in mind is that, no matter how hard they try to sell you on the sweetness of its aroma, the delightful bouquet and attractive coloration it has, that turd still smells like shit.

Herschel—another righteous brother who knows whereof he speaks, and via whom I found the above Strong Message—has plenty to add his own self, including this:

Gen. David Rodriguez made it difficult for Marines in Helmand and during the initial parts of the larger campaign for Helmand he issued an order that every use of artillery receive his approval. The ignorance of U.S. brass taking Viagra to the tribal chieftains so that could continue their abuse of little boys is so repugnant that it’s amazing the enlisted men didn’t turn their weapons on their own command.

Tim Lynch (who has spent longer time in Afghanistan that any English speaking man alive today, nearly ten years) told me personally that the DoD had thousands of hours of video footage of Afghan boys engaged in sexual activity with animals. Against this backdrop, Islamist militants only became more incensed and enraged.

From the beginning I favored sending the Rangers and Marines to the border with Pakistan so that AQ could be killed in the caves of Tora Bora rather than escaping to live and fight again. Chase the Taliban, kill them, and then there would be no Quetta Shura. And then leave. But we had to play armed social worker, and now here we are.

The final exit is a debacle of mammoth proportions, Americans will be left in Afghanistan to be beheaded, and Bagram Air Base (the best and brightest hope for a smooth withdrawal) was shut down. And they are proud of it. Meanwhile, twelve Marines perished today. It is a dark day.

Indeed it was, with more and darker still to come.

Credit where due

Bruce Bawer spreads the love around.

For four years, we had a president who, over the course of a single term, managed to undo a great deal of the mischief wrought, and a great many of the mistakes made, by his recent predecessors. Trump revived America’s economy, shored up Americans’ individual liberties, forged several remarkable peace agreements, and greatly strengthened our international position—thus firmly checking the ambitions of our powerful adversaries.

But, Biden voters, he had a personality that rubbed you the wrong way. He wrote nasty tweets. In the language of TV production, he was too “hot.” You wanted “cool.”

That’s gotta be the first time the words “Biden” and “cool” have ever been seen in the same sentence, I’m thinkin’. And even then, it was in the “temperature” sense, kinda-sorta.

The Democrats put up a candidate who was plainly in mental decline. It was obvious every time he spoke. But you didn’t pay terribly close attention to his speeches. The sources from which you get your “news” carefully clipped out all of the bits of his appearances in which his befuddlement was manifest. If you heard someone speak out about his senility, you dismissed the charges out of hand.

Biden also had a less-than-stellar professional history. He’d spent decades in the Senate as little more than a fixture, an empty suit, a vapid, smiling shill for the credit-card companies and other corporations based in his shabby little state. In the lead-up to the 2020 election, mountains of evidence were made public indicating that Biden was even more deeply corrupt than we already knew, taking massive bribes from nefarious foreign powers.

Yes, that story was banned from social media. Still, you could have known about it if you’d had the slightest bit of curiosity—and the slightest sense of civic responsibility.

Presumably you don’t like Alpha Males. Most likely you saw Trump as a wellspring of toxic masculinity.

It never occurred to you, apparently, that in a complex and dangerous world, it might be a good thing for the most important and powerful country to have a strong, self-assured, can-do individual at the helm—a man who knew how to reassure allies and strike fear into enemies.

You didn’t have a clue about how power works in the real world. You should have. You were a grown-up. You had no excuse.

Trump understood power. He’d made his fortune in the toughest arena in American business: New York real estate. His experience in the private sector made him a perfect choice for president: for four years, he used the talents he employed to make himself rich to make America great again.

But you didn’t see it.

Biden was rich, too. Not as rich as Trump, but plenty rich. The difference was that he’d amassed his millions not through hard work or talent but by selling his influence. Like many another politician, he whored himself out, betraying his voters, his state, and his country.

But what did that matter to you? You acted as if you were voting for a morning talk-show host or veteran local news anchorman. Or a maître d’. It’s as if you didn’t even have a concept of the role a president of the United States plays on the global stage.

Well, now you know. At least I hope you know. If you don’t know now, you never will. And if you’ve still managed to miss all the obloquy heaped on the man you voted for—well, congratulations. That’s quite a coup.

Thanks to you—yes, you (look in the mirror!)—Biden, in the eyes of military experts around the world (and, for that matter, the eyes of anyone on the planet with an ounce of sense), has pulled off the most disastrous military operation in modern times.

As a result, America has reached perhaps the lowest point in its history. Biden has betrayed every member of our own armed forces. He’s betrayed every Westerner stationed in Afghanistan. And he’s betrayed every last one of our allies, none of whom he even bothered to consult with before issuing his catastrophic orders.

In doing so, he’s dramatically increased the likelihood that China will invade Taiwan or that Russia will invade some place in Eastern Europe. Commentators who a couple of weeks ago were still covering up for Biden are now admitting that he’s beyond incompetent and that this single event could spell the end of America as a superpower.

Last Saturday, in an impassioned j’accuse, Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr asked: “Are you happy now, Biden voters?”

Carr’s assumption was that any cognizant, conscientious Biden voter must now, at long last, be feeling buyer’s remorse. But I suspect otherwise. Of all of you Biden voters, the one I know best has just celebrated on Facebook the fact that Rachel Maddow—the individual who has perhaps done more than anyone to demonize Trump and whitewash Biden—has signed a new contract with MSNBC.

So I guess even the catastrophe in Kabul isn’t even enough to make you rethink your vote. Even now, you’re still not through coughing up your anti-Trump bile.

I guess that the question, then, is this: will you ever be? In the times to come, as you witness the consequences of Biden’s incompetence, will any of it affect your opinions? Years from now, will you be crawling around the rubble in the remains of the world whose destruction Biden has precipitated and still be howling about the evil that is Donald Trump?

Doubt it. They’ll all be too busy scrabbling through restaurant dumpsters for a moldy crust of bread, begging for mercy, or running for their lives at that point. Which, y’know, is fine by me. Serves ’em right.

Man without a country

Probably the best, most comprehensive top-to-bottom and end-to-end post-mort of the Ashcanistan fiasco I’ve seen yet.

I remember September 11, 2001. I never knew what people meant by “blood running cold” until I looked at New York City from my favorite hill and saw the smoking ruin where the Trade Center had been. I felt a deeply personal insult.

An abstraction called “America” hadn’t been attacked. This was something real. “Freedom” wasn’t under attack. It was my city, my people, my country that these savages had assaulted. American unity was awesome. President George W. Bush could have asked for anything from the country. The grief and righteous anger could have changed the world.

Now these feelings seem absurd and embarrassing. Patriotism is at a record low, even among conservatives. It’s hard to define what “America” means, or if it even exists.

Part of this is because the response to the attacks had nothing to do with defending America. President Bush could have stopped immigration, worked to defend the Christian faith he supposedly holds, and renewed patriotism. He did none of these things. Multiculturalism and anti-white preferences are far stronger today. Rather than seizing the moment to push assimilation and patriotism in schools, they teach Critical Race Theory and other anti-white ideas. Islam, once a marginal force in American life, has joined homosexuality and black identity as one of our national totems.

What was the purpose of the wars? If they were to “spread democracy,” they failed. If they were to defend the “American way of life,” they failed. The America of 2021 is a nightmare to a patriot from 2001. It’s bad enough that today’s “American way of life” is imposed on us, let alone on foreigners. If the War on Terror was supposed to keep us “safe,” that also failed. America seems far more besieged than before 2001, despite trillions spent and intrusive surveillance. America even faces the possibility of real defeat in a conventional war against great powers. If our government took foreign terrorism seriously, we would not have a porous border.

After September 11, Americans thought American power had been roused and we would smite our enemies. Instead, we sacrificed thousands of young men to bring “democracy” to foreigners. Iraqi and Afghani cooperation (or collaboration) went no farther than a paycheck. Many Americans even died at the hands of their supposed “allies” in “green on blue” attacks, which killed more than 150 coalition troops by 2020.

Now we have a supposed “obligation” to bring in Afghans. How many “green on blue” attacks will we get in the homeland? President George W. Bush (in)famously defended the wars by saying that “we will fight them over there so we do not have to face them in the United States of America.” Now, it appears we fought Afghans “there” so we could bring Afghans “here.” If an estimated 99 percent of Afghans want to make Sharia the basis of law, it’s hard to claim we are bringing “pro-American” Afghans here. The ones who come will learn in no time to complain about “white supremacy.”

The United States could have pulled out of Afghanistan in late 2001 after removing the Taliban and still continued the hunt for Bin Laden, who was in Pakistan. The US could have declared victory after it killed Bin Laden. Instead, the country spent trillions trying to turn Afghanistan into a liberal democracy. This included propping up a miserably corrupt government, promoting female politicians who never visited their constituencies, spending more than $780 million on “gender programs,” celebrating “Pride Month,” and, most infamously, punishing American soldiers who tried to stop child abuse by Afghan allies. And we were supposed to be fighting for the “good guys?”

Whites are second-class citizens. The “American” government discriminates against us, “American” schools shame our children, the government hands out contracts by race, and anti-white mobs tear down our history. Media and academia have successfully broken many whites to the point they have a negative bias against their own group. “American” law enforcement is selective. Corporate America funds Black Lives Matter and other anti-white movements. If this were happening to any other group, many Republicans would say it justified military intervention in the name of human rights.

Is the system that rules us worth defending? No. If that makes me a “traitor,” I would say only that there is nothing to betray. Our rulers have already betrayed us.

The Afghan and Iraqi wars did nothing to protect this country. They made things worse. Every servicemen sent was sacrificed by a government that doesn’t deserve them. Soldiers deserve respect, but their commanders and politicians deserve scorn. I have yet to hear one veteran say the wars were worth it. Even the legendary Pat Tillman came to oppose the Afghanistan War — before he was accidentally killed by his own comrades. “Were all our sacrifices wasted?” heartbroken veterans ask. Yes.

When I see the scenes of retreat and shame in Afghanistan, I feel humiliation, but also schadenfreude. This strips naked the fools who have been sending soldiers to die. I long for the America that was, and mourn for the brave men who died for a government that doesn’t deserve them. And yet there is a certain satisfaction in the ruling class’s humiliating defeat.

Indeed there is—particularly the delicious realization that—after a too-long career of corruption, graft, and general witless incompetence—perennial boob Biden finally hoodwinked and bamboozled his way into the Presidency he had so desperately lusted for all those years…only to wind up with the Biden Bugout as his enduring legacy, his and his entire family’s name and reputation to be appropriately dogged forevermore by the disgrace, the shame, and the humiliation of it.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of assholes, if you ask me. Try as I might, I can’t come up with a more fitting way to cap a decidedly less-than-stellar career as a greedy, grubby hack politician than this. Who says there ain’t no justice in this world, anyhow?

Biden Bugout: the gift that keeps on giving

Loss of US military gear, civilian personnel, and all respect, trust, and standing in the world: costly. Ongoing mockery and humiliation of ****”President”**** Biden from every corner: PRICELESS.

A former British military commander in Afghanistan said he believes that President Joe Biden should not be impeached, as some Republicans have suggested, but rather court-martialed as a failed commander-in-chief for “betraying the United States of America and the United States’ armed forces.”

In an interview set to air Sunday evening, Colonel Richard Kemp, CBE, formerly in charge of all British military operations in the country, also told Fox News host Mark Levin that he believes Biden’s debacle of a pullout has humiliated U.S. armed forces and Americans in general.

Two GOP House members — U.S. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Bob Gibbs of Ohio — have drafted articles of impeachment against Biden, though last week, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., would not commit to impeaching the president if Republicans gained control of the chamber in next year’s midterms, saying he did not want to turn the process into a political exercise.

“I don’t say this lightly and I’ve never said it about anybody else — any other leader in this position. People have been talking about impeaching President Biden,” Kemp said. “I don’t believe President Biden should be impeached.”

“He’s the commander-in-chief of the U.S. armed forces who’s just essentially surrendered to the Taliban,” he added. “He shouldn’t be impeached. He should be court-martialed for betraying the United States of America and the United States armed forces.”

It’ll never happen, obviously. But I love it just the same, and look forward to much, much more of it.

Comments policy

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go.
