Monsters of Globalism

In an article which surpasses his own established standards for cutting high, wide, and deep, Brandon Smith recounts the history (which goes back farther than you probably thought) and explains the goals of the fiends in human shape who masterminded the Great Reset, the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Sharing Economy, and other dangerous and diabolical plots.

I first heard the phrase “Great Reset” way back in 2014. Christine Lagarde, who was head of the IMF at the time, was suddenly becoming very vocal about global centralization. It was an agenda that was generally only whispered about in the dark corners of institutional white papers and the secretive meetings of banking elites, but now these people were becoming rather loud about it.

Lagarde was doing a Q&A at the World Economic Forum and the notion of the “Reset” was very deliberately brought up; what the project entailed was vague, but the basic root of it was a dramatic shift away from the current economic, social and political models of the world into a globally centralized and integrated system – A “New World Order,” if you will…

It’s important to remember that we had just jumped through the fires of an international credit collapse which started in 2008 and had continued to cause uncertainty in markets for years. The central banks had dumped tens of trillions of dollars worth of stimulus into the system just to keep it on life support. Some of us in the alternative media believed that these actions were not meant to save the economy, only zombify the economy through currency devaluation and inflation. Not long down the road, this zombie creation would turn on us and try to eat us alive, and only the central bankers new exactly when this would occur.

Think of the crash of 2008 as Stage 1 of the Reset agenda; the globalists were getting cocky and were ready to unveil their plans to the public.

Lagarde’s discussion at the WEF was also held around the time that Klaus Schwab was introducing his 4th Industrial Revolution concept, which is a little more forward with what the globalists really want. He talks excitedly of a true “global society” and a world in which people turn to Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a better means of governance. He even suggests that laws would eventually be dictated by AI and that courts would be run by robots.

Of course, he admits that this cannot happen without a period of economic deconstruction in which people and governments will have to choose between sacrifice for the sake of stability or continued pain in the name of holding on to the “old ways.” Look at it this way: The Great Reset is the action or the chaos, and the 4th Industrial Revolution is the intended result or planned “order.” That is to say, it’s a new order created out of engineered chaos.

Yeah, it sounds like bad science fiction, but remember these are the people that enjoy the undivided attention of many of our political leaders and they rub elbows with the central bankers at the Federal Reserve. I’ll say it again: The proponents of the Great Reset and the 4th Industrial Revolution, who want to completely undermine and reconstitute our society and way of life, are close partners with our national leaders and the very bankers that could force such a reset to happen through a deliberate collapse.

The globalists have been trying to rebrand and repackage their New World Order agenda for many years, and the Reset was what they came up with. Rather than being innocuous sounding, the term threatens systemic upheaval and an erasure of the past. When you “reset” something it usually goes back to zero – A blank slate that the engineers can use to rewrite the code and the functions. But what does this really mean?

What do the globalists REALLY WANT? Here are the details, so far as I can prove or support with evidence, of what the “Great Reset” actually is and what programs they hope to enforce.

This is some truly frightening stuff, skillfully broken down by Smith into a comprehensible, streamlined narrative. All of this essay is vital, must-read material, but this next passage I find impossible to resist re-publishing here.

The argument for this kind of society is of course that “climate change” and the frailties of consumer economics demand that we reduce our living standards to near zero and abandon the sacred ideal of property ownership for the sake of the planet.

Set aside the fact that carbon based global warming is a farce. The world’s temperatures have only risen by 1 DEGREE CELSIUS in the span of a century, according to the NOAA. This was data that climate scientists had attempted to hide or gloss over for years, but now it is out there for everyone to see. There is no proof of man made global warming. None.

The globalists have been scheming to use environmentalism as an excuse for centralization since at least 1972, when the Club Of Rome published a treatise titled ‘The Limits To Growth’. Twenty years later they would publish a book titled ‘The First Global Revolution.’ In that document they specifically recommend using global warming as a vehicle:

“In searching for a common enemy against whom we can unite, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like, would fit the bill. In their totality and their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which must be confronted by everyone together. But in designating these dangers as the enemy, we fall into the trap, which we have already warned readers about, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention in natural processes, and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy then is humanity itself.”

The statement comes from Chapter 5 – The Vacuum, which covers their position on the need for global government. The quote is relatively clear; a common enemy must be conjured in order to trick humanity into uniting under a single banner, and the elites see environmental catastrophe, caused by mankind itself, as the best possible motivator.

Brandon proceeds from there to lay bare the ultimate objective of this insidious conspiracy: essentially, a contemporary reboot of feudalism…but worse, if you can believe it. His closing remarks might be the most chilling part of all.

The truth is a rare commodity these days, but nowhere near as rare as it will be if these elitists get what they want. The globalists are far more open about their agenda today than they have ever been before, and I suspect this is because they believe they will be able to rewrite the history of today’s events with impunity after the Reset unfolds. They think they will own the world of information and will be able to edit our cultural memory as they go.

The mainstream media calls all of this “conspiracy theory.” I call it conspiracy reality. It’s hard to deny openly spoken admissions by the globalists themselves, all they can do is try to spin the information as much as possible to keep the public on the fence in terms of what needs to be done, which is a purge of the globalists from our country and perhaps the entire world.

If we do not do this, there will come a time when nothing I say here is remembered and no evidence of the Reset plan will exist. The establishment will have eliminated all notions of it from written history, leaving only a fantasy tale of how the world collapsed and a small organization of “visionary” globalists saved it from oblivion through a new religion of centralization.

Not at all difficult to imagine precisely this scenario coming to pass in the fullness of time, is it? It all seems to me to confirm what I’ve so often, perhaps to the point of tedium, insisted: These wealthy, powerful, and morally stunted manipulators, contra the received wisdom, are NOT “afraid of us” and our however-many-million guns threatening retributive justice from inside of their locked gun safes at all—not even slightly, they ain’t. Ironically enough, their premature contempt for the presumed Serf Class offers us some faint glimmer of hope: as Brandon suggests, their own overconfidence, arrogance, and conceit may prove to be their undoing, gifting us with the key to thwarting their Satanic designs and taking them the fuck down.

I’ll leave off with an apt confession from Smith’s comments section:

“Some believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure—one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” -David Rockefeller, Memoirs, 2003

This struggle before us is one that’s been a long time a-building. It’s time to face the facts squarely, and engage our foe directly, without reservation or reticence. Decent, upstanding people can NOT suffer monsters such as Schwab and his inhuman associates to live among them on this good Earth, to forever go on refining and revising their twisted machinations, testing each new, “improved” version on far better men than they’ll ever be themselves. They make bitter mock of the noble principles of America’s Founding; blasphemously dismissing as an impossibility—a non sequitur, almost—any notion of meaningful human advancement—the eternal struggle to attain a worldly state of grace whose existence the stiff-necked, all-knowing Monsters Of Globalism pompously deny.

To this supercilious, disdainful Master Race of Titans, Colossi, and self-styled Übermenschen, the rest of humanity is and will always remain no more deserving of consideration or serious regard than any other insect—hapless, helpless, and harmless; bat-blind to their benighted, lowly state of existence; blissfully unaware of their own ugly reality; occasionally of some small interest, if only momentarily so; more often, just another insignificant crawly thing inhabiting a larger landscape they aren’t equipped to comprehend, worthy only of being ignored by Superior Beings as they step around, over, or on them.

Be that as it may, such crippling self-obssession in no way means that, while simultaneously being both annoying and alarming—when all is said and done the Globemeisters really don’t pose a mortal threat to their pitiably underevolved fellow men. It ain’t so, provably, their lawless breed having demonstrated otherwise more than once or twice over lo, these many years. None of us should blandly take their long, unbroken record of falling somewhat short of total global domination so far as confirmation of their non-menacing, merely blustery and boisterous inner nature. Don’t wave them off with a casual, “Sure, they can be assholes sometimes, but hey, boys will be boys.” If they haven’t killed off as many of us as they’d like to so far, rest assured it hasn’t been from a lack of effort.

Better to think of them as a sort of cancer—as with any other cancer they must be cut out, before they destroy the body politic utterly. More apt yet, think of them as a parasite—as with any other parasite, they must be removed straightaway, lest they gradually weaken and, eventually, kill the very host they depend on for their repulsive existence. Another shared trait: Globalists and parasites alike contribute nothing whatsoever to either their hosts or to the wider world. The Globalists, in close imitation of their parasite brothers, accrued their incalculable wealth and power not from hard work and ferocious determination, natural business acumen, or any other variety of value offered, but as riders on the aching backs and honest sweat of the working-class mules they aimed all along to victimize, to exsanguinate, to subjugate.

Their wealth confers no Divine Right To Rule upon them, refuting the comforting assumption that yes, it most certainly does—a universal assumption among their ilk spontaneously generated as if by some strange kind of autonomic reflex. Having long since renounced the responsibilities called for under what Chinese rulers of antiquity referred to as the Mandate of Heaven, they instead chose to adopt as their creed the exact opposite of responsibility and noblesse oblige: reckless profligacy; crass, status-seeking rumpswabbery via the obnoxious flaunting of wealth; unrestrained self-indulgence—in short, a drunken orgy of Dionysian sensuality elevated from wastrel sin to legitimate and unobjectionable lifestyle choice.

It’s laugh or cry in the End Times

Y’know, there IS actually a bright side to having a senile old crook pretending to be “president” of Amerika v2.0 now and then. For instance, we get to enjoy fun paragraphs like these:

The “president” famously loves and admires his son — “the smartest man I know,” he’s said — but every once in a while, in those infrequent lucid moments between breakfast and the morning “lid” on his imperial duties, “Joe Biden” must smack himself in his Blarney Stone of a head wondering how the hell did that meshugganah kid of mine manage to lose that goddam treasure-map of a laptop! And just as quickly, the fugitive thought floats away like a soap bubble…It’s easy to play dumb when you’re already senile.

The fabled Hard-drive-from Hell apparently contains evidence of felonious misdeeds other than tax evasion ranging from treason, bribery, and wire fraud, to child sex-trafficking and the use of Air Force Two in the commission of crimes. That leaves AG Mr. Garland on a hot spot of dreadful discomfiture. Does he call off the dogs on that vast bone-pile of perfidy and just “laser focus” on some rinky-dink tax charge — and then face the wrath in ten months of a sure-to-be Republican majority House and Senate capable not just of impeaching his ass, but making criminal referrals on it? Or is compelling evidence of high crimes going to be spewed all over the land by those aforesaid private-sector sleuths poring over Hunter’s hard-drive, in a way that the AG can only ignore at the risk of his own reputation… or maybe even a year in some federal slammer for obstruction of justice?

Kinda depends a little bit on what sort of commotion special counsel Mr. John Durham stirs up if-and-when he gets around to indicting any of the superstars of RussiaGate — many of them former and current DOJ and FBI personnel — because when that happens, the odor around Mr. Garland’s department will be so pungent that prosecutors will have to work the Hunter case wearing industrial-strength, full-face, carbon-filtered respirators.

In short, is the dear Deep State fixing to throw “Joe Biden” overboard in a play for its own legitimacy, as if it is actually looking after the nation’s interests? At some point, even ghouls and spooks have a certain survival instinct. And all that might kinda depend on whether President Vlad Putin of Russia happens to disclose what exactly his soldiers found when they captured the numerous “bio-research” labs that ringed Ukraine’s former eastern provinces near the Russian border. Hunter Biden’s companies had an ownership position in those labs, which were actually run by the US Department of Defense jointly with (who else?) the CIA. The wildest stories are circulating about the labs — like, they were developing horrific designer plagues targeted specifically at genetically Slavic people…to be spread by loosing infected migratory birds into the Eurasian skies…say, what…? When, exactly, did American foreign policy turn into something out of a Marvel Comic?

Amusing stuff, right enough, but Kuenstler goes all serious and somber again for the closer. In a most amusing way, however.

The wheels of justice, grinding slowly

But surpassing fine.

In October of 2020, a bombshell report detailing possibly incriminating emails (and generally degenerate behavior) from a laptop owned by Hunter Biden dropped. That report, originally published and expanded on by The New York Post, was relentlessly censored by social media companies and maligned as “Russian disinformation” by the mainstream media and the Biden campaign.

That didn’t stop right-leaning media from digging deeper, and the revelations were stunning, including Hunter Biden making $80,000 a month from a Ukrainian oil company and receiving a $2 million “retainer” to sell influence to the Libyan government. His dealings with China were also extensive and at the very least, seemed to cross into the realm of criminal FARA violations. To this day, Hunter Biden has yet to fully divest from his partial stake in a Chinese-controlled venture capital firm.

Still, all of that has been known for a long time, yet the media’s response has been to completely ignore suppress it while the Biden administration has continued to lie about the origins of the emails. That was, until the last few weeks.

Fixed it for ya.

Suddenly, for no reason whatsoever I’m assured, the liberal news industry, including The New York Times and The Washington Post, decided to “confirm” admit all the reporting we already knew was true. Further, the Post’s write-up goes so far as to detail some of Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings, specifically regarding the Chinese. That’s quite the about-face.

Fixed it for ya again.

We should be asking ourselves why the Times, the Post, etc. just walked through the door with a six-pack and their dancing shoes on. Nothing, and I mean nothing that is harmful to a major Democrat gets printed by accident. There is always an underlying reason why a report gets made at the time it does, especially when we are talking about a story that was previously suppressed.

So what’s going on here?

My guess is that the hidden Power behind the DC throne has decided, for reasons we’ll never know, that it’s just about time to cut the drooling retard Biden’s strings to replace him with another, less laughable marionette as frontman for their ongoing charade. Either that, or Praetorian Media suspects that, their stifling of the Biden laptop story having passed its sell-by date, the whole sordid affair is about to come out whether they will or they nil. So they badly need to find some way, somehow, to hang onto whatever gossamer-thin tatters of credibility they have left by getting out ahead of it. That seems to be where Bonchie is placing his bet:

I think one only has to look at the media’s history to see a pattern when it comes to harmful revelations about Democrat figures. When reports start coming out that simultaneously make major admissions but still attempt to white-wash what’s happening, that’s usually because forces within the government are leaking information in order to get out in front of a story and preset the narrative.

The Times and the Post reported on the Carter Page FISA abuse, but only after it became clear much more was about to come out showing the FBI’s abuse of power. The Times and the Post reported on John Durham indicting Michael Sussmann, but only as a way to suggest the indictment was weak. When the actual indictment dropped, it was far worse than described.

Do you see what I mean? Something big is coming regarding the corruption surrounding Hunter Biden (and possibly his father). That’s why we are getting these reports right now, and that’s why those privy to the FBI investigation into Joe Biden’s son are suddenly leaking like crazy. They want to set the narrative before it becomes apparent just how bad things truly were. That means you can take the Post’s newest report and assume it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

All fine and well, but don’t let’s be counting any chickens as to whether Hunter might actually do time for his serial criminality—much less his senile, corrupt-to-the-marrow dad. All I have to say about THAT is, I’ll believe it when I see it. Also, harrumph.

As counter to my usual cynical suspicion, however, the Bidengate plot is definitely thickening.

On Monday, two Republican members of the United States Senate revealed evidence that Joe Biden’s son Hunter received payments of at least $100,000 from Chinese oligarchs.

As reported by Fox News, Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) took to the floor of the Senate to provide a receipt for a payment of $100,000 from the Chinese energy company CEFC to Wells Fargo Clearing Services, with “further credit” being paid to Hunter Biden’s firm Owasco.

In his speech from the Senate floor, Johnson criticized the mainstream media’s efforts to deliberately cover up Hunter Biden’s numerous scandals.

“Over the course of our investigation into how Hunter Biden used his father’s position and name to enrich himself and his family,” Johnson said on Monday, “the dishonest press published countless stories reporting on the Democrats’ false charge that we were soliciting and disseminating Russian disinformation.”

Mo’ bettah still—but not for Grifter Gropey and his seedy spawn.

On Tuesday, The Federalist reported that two GOP senators, Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, released actual receipts of payments Hunter Biden received from foreign oligarchs that indicate “the extent to which President Biden might be — and almost certainly is — compromised.”

“There’s no middle man in this transaction. This is $100,000 from what is effectively an arm of the communist Chinese government direct to Hunter Biden,” Grassley said from the Senate floor on Monday. “To the liberal media and my Democratic colleagues: Is this official bank document Russian disinformation?”

Don’t you get it yet, Chuck? To the sleazy, scummy Left, it’s anything they need it to be, or nothing at all. Whatever advances the agenda another step down the road to Marxist utopia and unchecked, limitless power, that’s all that matters here.

Update! A NY Post deep dive into the corrupt Biden Family’s criminal connections to Chinese espionage agents, from last January.

For those wondering why Joe Biden is soft on China, consider this never-before-reported revelation: The Biden family has done five deals in China totaling some $31 million arranged by individuals with direct ties to Chinese intelligence — some reaching the very top of China’s spy agency.

Indeed, every known deal that the Biden family enjoyed with Beijing was reached courtesy of individuals with spy ties. And Joe Biden personally benefited from his family’s foreign deals.

In 2018, I was the first to report on Hunter Biden’s involvement with a Chinese investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST (BHR). Hunter even introduced his dad to a company executive in December 2013 when father and son flew to Beijing on Air Force Two.

In October 2019, Hunter Biden’s lawyer George Mesires said Hunter would be resigning from the BHR board, without receiving any return on his investment or shareholder distributions.

What Team Biden failed to address was the fact that Hunter Biden still owned a stake in the investment fund, said to be 10%.

When I first reported on Hunter Biden’s China ties in 2018, Team Biden denied that they existed. Then they absurdly claimed that his stake in the BHR investment fund was only $420,000.

Steven Kaplan, who conducts research on issues in private equity, venture capital, entrepreneurial finance, corporate governance and corporate finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, said a private equity fund with $2 billion under management will typically generate fees over its life of hundreds of millions of dollars.

“It is difficult to imagine, if not incomprehensible, that a 10% stake in those economics is worth only $420K,” Kaplan said via email. “The distinction they appear to be making is they capitalized the management company with $4.2M even if the fund manages $2B. The value of that management company is likely far in excess of $4.2M if they are managing $2B.”

Much, much, MUCH more follows before landing us here:

These deals are disturbing enough, and are exacerbated by the fact that every one of them was made possible by an individual with ties that sometimes went to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence.

But there is also the curious fact that in 2014, Hunter Biden took the unusual step of telling the Secret Service that he did not want protection when he traveled overseas. The request happened shortly after he began securing deals in Beijing.

Money that Hunter Biden received from his overseas deals flowed to other members of the Biden family.

Joe Biden’s brother James  received over $1 million originating from the spy-connected Ye, according to a US Senate investigation.

And Joe Biden benefited, too.

Well, of course he did. Lest we forget, another scrupulously-ignored news item gives the memory a gentle nudge.

Bombshell: Emails show Hunter, Joe Biden shared bank accounts, could drag him into Hunter’s FBI tax probe
WASHINGTON, DC- A blockbuster report by the Daily Mail is reporting that the current occupant of the Oval Office (when he’s not in the fake set across the street) Joe Biden may soon become caught up in the FBI’s probe into Hunter Biden’s finances, according to some experts.

Emails obtained by the Daily Mail gleaned from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show that Joe and Hunter Biden not only shared bank accounts, but also paid each other’s bills. The report also notes that Joe Biden may have in fact contributed to funding Hunter’s 2018 prostitution and drug binge, albeit inadvertently.

The emails, between Hunter and his business partner at Rosemont Seneca, Eric Schwerin revealed the latter was working on Joe Biden’s taxes, showed discussions revealing the Biden’s paid each other’s household bills, fielded requests for a book deal for Joe Biden, then serving as vice president, and also the donation of Biden’s papers from his time as Senator to the University of Delaware.

The emails raised some questions as to why Schwerin was so involved in Joe Biden’s affairs as vice president as opposed to government officials assigned to the vice-president’s office.

The claims made by Hunter of a shared bank account with his father also begs the question if the funds from that joint account were used for Hunter Biden’s May 2018 bender with a prostitute in a Hollywood hotel, the Mail piece reported.

The existence of a federal investigation into his tax affairs was admitted by Hunter Biden himself last December.

Of course all of this also calls into question claims that Joe Biden had made that he had no knowledge of his son Hunter’s business dealings, an important claim because Joe Biden used that as an excuse claiming no quid pro quo in Hunter’s membership on the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company whose CEO was being investigated by a Ukrainian prosecutor.

One expert says that if Joe Biden were not currently president a Democrat he would likely already be on the prosecutor’s radar by now, along with Hunter. So says John Cassara, a former U.S. intelligence officer and treasury special agent, an expert in money laundering investigations.

“Corruption is a predicate offense for money laundering. And besides corruption, it’s the perception of corruption. This kind of thing should not be happening. It undermines full faith in the US government. It undermines trust and our international reputation. It’s an embarrassment.”

As well it should be, to any of us with a shred of integrity and a functional moral compass. Which would most certainly NOT include any of the Biden clan, a family of crooked blood-ticks who have miraculously become filthy rich on a US Senator’s relatively-measly salary (174k, as of last year).

When the Bear slaps, it hurts

Ignore strategic analysis from sources whose visceral loathing for all things military is so deeply ingrained in their psyches that it simply overwhelms any possibility of rational, objective commentary.

The Russian military operation in Ukraine began with a rather small force of some 150.000+ men against a much larger (including reservist and territorial forces) Ukrainian force of some 400.000. The Russian force used maneuver warfare to fix the larger Ukrainian forces into place. It attacked on a large front and threatened major population concentrations, i.e. cities.

The Russian operations started with the destruction of the Ukrainian command and control network. Over the last four weeks the Ukrainian navy, its airforce, its radars and air defenses and a huge number of its armored vehicles were destroyed. Throughout the last week fuel depots all over the Ukraine were attacked and destroyed over night. Ukraine’s large ammunition depots are gone. Military production and repair facilities have likewise been destroyed. The Ukraine is no longer able to move large numbers of troops between the various fronts. Its army has lost its mobility.

While this was ongoing threats to Kiev, Odessa and other large Ukrainian cities have held significant numbers of Ukrainian troops in place and prevented reinforcements to move to the east. There units from the Donetsk and Luhansk republics attacked the 60,000 strong main force of the Ukrainian army to keep it in place.

This allowed Russian forces from Crimea and from the Russian border in the north to move into positions that will now enable them to envelope the east.

The Russian forces will probably take another four weeks to destroy the Ukrainian units at the Donetsk front. The Russian command will then have to decide which parts of the Ukraine it will want to keep under control. Next to Donetsk and Luhansk the region north of Crimea is a likely candidate. Odessa and Dnipro may also be still on the menu. The regions can be kept as statelets under local control or form a confederation that may well institutionalize a new country.

Anything beyond that depends on the willingness of the U.S. proxy government in Kiev to submit to Russia’s demands. Russia can leave it at that or it can continue to mow the grass until none is left.

Bill is eagerly anticipating the moment when “all the propaganda blows up in the usual faces,” but it won’t add up to anything. Based on observation of their past behavior, there will be neither acknowledgement of error nor any expression of contrition or apology for their self-serving blunder. They’ll just keep right on truckin’ as before, quickly moving on to the next campaign of manipulation and deceit.

Evil empire

As I keep telling ya: All part of The Plan.

At first it seemed outrageous to think anyone would want famine, starvation, energy shortages, economic depression, and global war, but watching the insane decision making of politicians, trumpeted by the Deep State bootlickers in the media, has convinced me this is chapter 2 in their Great Reset book of horrors.

Once you wrap your head around how vile, evil, and demented those who are pulling the strings behind this Great Reset are, your eyes are open to how far they are willing to go to institute their plan. It appears they will stop at nothing, kill as many people as necessary, create maximum chaos and pain, wreck any civic cohesiveness left, and destroy all moral and legitimate norms of society, in order to increase their control, power and wealth on this earth.

They hold all the cards. They control the governments, corporations, banks, legacy media, social media, entertainment industries, military industrial complex, sickcare Big Pharma complex, and the mental processes of the masses through their mind control/propaganda technology. Their hubris and arrogance have reached peak altitude and exuberance. They believe they are invincible. That will be their fatal weakness.

I know we would like to root for the good guys, but there are no good guys running any country on this earth. Only bad guys, willing to sell their souls, are ever elevated to positions of power. They are selected by oligarchs, not elected by the people. The western propaganda spewing media machine specializes in demonizing those they are paid to demonize (Putin, Trump, non-vaxxers), while glorifying anyone the ruling elite have chosen to use to further their agenda (Zelensky, Fauci, vaxxers).

That’s what grabbed my attention hardest from a piece so very characteristic of TBP: quite long; complex and dense; thoroughly well-researched and supported by hard evidence; covering an extremely broad range of intellectual and philosophical ground; offering a unique and sometimes quite visionary analysis, as well as bold projections of how and where things are likely to wind up. You’ll need to block out a significant chunk of time to read all of this one—I’m nowhere near done with it myself yet—but you really, really should.

“Baseless,” my…

Fellow Tarheel (born and raised myself, but Kenny is a most welcome NY refugee who ex-caped in the very nick of time) shares a link to the most comprehensive bundling of supporting evidence for the ogre Trump’s “baseless” assertion of election theft I’ve seen yet. First time I’ve seen all this gathered in one handy place, actually, and there’s one hell of a lot of it. More than even the most cynical and jaded of us might have expected, I do believeand the official CF Chapeau is duly and humbly doffed to Miss Liberty for assembling it for us.

From my cold, dead hands,

Keep talking, bitch. You just keep right on talking.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen Says Nothing Will Deter Biden Administration from Eliminating Fossil Fuels
s more people become aware of the Build Back Better agenda, or as some would say “The Great Reset,” and its direct connection to the dreams and aspirations of the climate change ideologues in the elitist class, it is worth paying attention when Yellen says nothing will deter the Biden administration from eliminating fossil fuels; and it is her role to make that objective financially possible.

Yellen emphasizes the Biden administration position about how the conflict in Ukraine and the sanctions against Russia are an example of why the global energy resources need to fundamentally change to renewable resources.  Her strength of advocacy, in alignment with the Davos/WEF position, is yet another data-point to highlight the predictable cleaving of the world economies into two distinctly differing groups of nations.

It doesn’t matter how economically painful it is to chase these energy policies, the elitists who operate western government are all-in on the same program.  The same western governments who used totalitarian emergency powers to destroy liberty and freedom under the guise of COVID-19 mitigation, are the same western governments now aligned to use the crisis in Ukraine to advance their energy ideology.

They’re almost there, actually, with sky-high gas prices inflicting slow-motion financial ruin on working-class American families—very soon now, on tens of millions of Americans. If our tormentors are not stopped, we’ll soon see entire industries wiped out by the Biden catastrophe. Next body-blow coming at us is a nascent food crisis: severe shortages; exorbitant prices for the little food available; irrepairable supply-chain snags and snarl-ups which will make things much, much worse, all culminating in something never seen in the US before: widespread hunger, famine, malnutrition and even death by starvation.

Although it’s no longer possible to avert this runaway man-caused disaster, it may not be too late to prevent it from getting even worse than it’s going to be. That, however, is going to mean rounds sent downrange in the direction of the criminals who caused this, from great distances off, followed by a rapid exfil when today’s target has been successfully neutralized. It’s going to mean laying low so as to evade capture until it’s time to begin planning, intel-gathering, and gearing up for the next mission. It’s going to mean a solid support network in your AO, noncombatants willing and able to provide you and your team with materiel, provisions, intel, maybe a secure hide for emergency E&E purposes should the need arise. It’s going to mean adapting yourself to a totally new way of thinking, of moving, of how you relate to others—a new way of life, in fact.

When and where Liberty’s Legion decides to go active and begin servicing targets will be for them to decide. Those of us who aren’t capable of functioning effectively as shooters will need to stand ready to fill other roles, of which there will be no shortage: medical, logistics, loading mags, staff, making coffee, etc etc. Anything we can do, we must do—ALL of the liberty-minded, no exceptions. Our freedom, our Constitution, and our way of life will require every last Real American to step up and do his part if our precious heritage is to be reclaimed. There will never be enough of us; I think it’s abundantly clear by now that we’re outnumbered, and badly. Contra Rush Limbaugh’s oft-stated contention, this is NOT a “majority conservative” nation anymore. I don’t think it’s been one since the mid-1960s.

But our minority status doesn’t mean we have no hope of defeating them. The Yellens, the Obamas, the Pelosis, the Comeys and Soroses, the whole filthy vermins’ nest of them—they can NOT be allowed to prevail. We know their intentions for us, and we know their Grand Plan means only suffering, deprivation, and injustice for us. They must be resisted; they must be fought; they must be eliminated, if that’s what it takes to lift their iron-shod jackboots from off our necks for good. All their works, their towers and edifices, their strongholds—ALL must be cast down to the earth alongside those who built them. We can afford no flinching, no quarter, no mercy. Our hearts must be hardened, our eyes wide open, our hand swift, sure, and steel-strong. They have a dark, cruel future planned for us. We must destroy them utterly, lest that future become cold, hard reality for us. We can beat them, outnumbered or not. We just have to go the right way about it, the smart way. We have to be firm as a bar of billet steel in our resolve; we have to be patient, we have to use every advantage, every edge, every tool available to us.

So yeah, Janet, you just bring it on. You and yours go ahead and do your damnedest to “eliminate” fossil fuels. Old-school greasemonkeys like myself and untold millions like me might have a little surprise waiting for you, concerning who and what might wind up “eliminated.” You want to come confiscate MY ICE lead sled from me and force me into one of your gay-ass little Shamebuggies, you better bring help.

Real Americans desperately need to face up squarely to the harsh realities of our situation, which is indeed a desperate one. First and foremost among those realities: We cannot vote our way around these people. They will never give up or give in. Whatever we offer them in exchange for just leaving us alone, they will take the offer now, then come back for another bite later. We know from long, bitter years of experience, that no bargain or agreement with them is worth a fart in a whirlwind. Knowing this, we simply cannot fail to do our duty, both to ourselves and our future generations. I am deadly, deadly serious about what I’m saying, people. We play now for the highest imaginable stakes. This one’s for all the marbles—winner take all, no prizes for second place.

Be it hereby resolved: no more lethargy, no more dissembling, no more evasion. This is war we’ve been dragged kicking and screaming into—real war, not figurative or rhetorical or pretend. REAL war, the kind with lots of blood and death and horror and mutilation in it. Kill them all, then, God will surely know his own. Kill them, and keep on killing them, until the survivors have grown so sick of killing they just wrefuse to do any more of it. Or, in the wise words of the great Curtis LeMay: You’ve got to kill people, and when you’ve killed enough they stop fighting.

What’s theirs is theirs. Also, what’s yours is theirs

What I’d like to know is, how did goobermint get so all-fired high and mighty that it arrogates unto itself the authority to seize your car and destroy it, without your having done a damned thing wrong?

The thought of crushing a freshly restored 1959 Corvette is heartbreaking. Then, add in that the reason for doing so centers on the condition of two very specific rivets. Luckily for Richard Martinez, Kansas lawmakers have finally come through and passed a law that frees his beloved hardtop from the clutches of the impound lot.

Say, Richard, don’t you think it’s high time you seriously considered getting yourself a safe, economical, dependable electric car, hmmm? For your family, for the climate, for The Future™?

The center of this debate has been the VIN plate on Martinez’s Corvette. He bought the car in 2016, a beloved ride that got a full restoration some years ago and as part of the repainting process had the VIN plate removed. Upon presenting it for routine state inspection, the Kansas Highway Patrol seized the Corvette. Unknown to the Martinez, the car ran afoul of a Kansas law which stated any vehicle with a “destroyed, removed, altered, or defaced” VIN plate must be crushed. That’s a harsh reality for a historic car that wasn’t party to any nefarious intent. Early on, authorities declared Martinez innocent of any wrongdoing, but the car was still being targeted for destruction.

With the car sitting in an impound lot, a push developed revise the Kansas law, largely thanks to the non-profit Kansas Justice Institute. The revision that resulted from this advocacy (House Bill 2594) aims to exempt classic vehicles undergoing repair or restoration and would additionally exempt classic car owners who didn’t know or had no reason to believe their car was involved in a crime. This is a big step forward and removes a significant bit of hesitation from owners in Kansas who feared their vehicles might get them in legal hot water when they went to register it.

A “big step forward”? If so, it’s a step away from a dark, dismal place we never should have allowed ourselves to be led into in the first place. Hats off to those Kansas lawmakers for doing the right thing in the end; a big Bronx cheer for the Kansas lawmakers for the original “We Will We Will ROB YOU!” Act from whence all the hassle sprang. Question: who does Mr Marinez see to get those lost years of angst and anxiety back?

The Ukraine deception

Brandon Smith splashes a big ol’ bucket of cold-water reality around, dousing many a globalist to the skin. But one of many inconvenient truths contained therein:

There Are No US Funded Bio Labs In Ukraine?
Yes, there are. THIS IS FACT. The existence of multiple bio-labs in Ukraine has been openly admitted by US officials including Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland. Nuland also indicated that these labs should not fall into Russian hands because of the dangerous “research materials” they contain; she refrained from calling them biological weapons. It is also openly admitted that US funding for these labs began during the Obama era (just as funding for the infamous Level 4 bio lab in Wuhan, China began during the Obama era). Obama himself toured the facilities before he became president and admitted that the labs contained anthrax and plague viruses.

The argument for US involvement in the Ukrainian bio-labs was that these dangerous materials needed to be properly secured and “protected.” Yeah, I’m not buying that, but at the very least it is absolutely and undeniably true that Ukraine holds multiple bio-labs, containing materials that could be used as biological weapons, and those labs have received ample funding from the US government. The amount of media lies and spin surrounding this one issue is truly impressive. Clearly, there is something about these labs that the government is trying to hide.

Do I think this is the reason Russia invaded Ukraine. No, not at all. The point remains, though, that White House and media arguments on the bio-labs are verifiable lies.

Gee, what a shocker. Also: UNEXPECTED!!™ Bottom line?

Most of these disinformation campaigns in the media and by political officials from the White House to Neo-Cons in the GOP are obviously designed to accomplish one thing: American support for war with Russia. Frankly, Ukraine is not worth it. The displacement of refugees is saddening but war in general only EVER serves the interests of globalists and power brokers. We can’t be lured in by false narratives and the exploitation of our empathy.

NATO involvement in Ukraine, including military involvement, has been pervasive for over a decade, well before the Russian invasion of Crimea. It’s almost like Ukraine has been groomed as a powder keg for potential global war. Now, it appears the globalists are falling back on Plan B in a desperate play to distract the public from economic destruction. Putin is a part of it, Ukraine is a part of it, and most NATO governments are a part of it. The real war is not with Russia; the real war is with the establishment elites that are playing both sides of the conflict. Why sacrifice millions in a pointless engineered conflict when we can eliminate a handful of power mongers and finally live in peace?

Bold mine, so as to underscore what I firmly believe to be the question of our age. Trump’s most important accomplishment in office was to tear the masks off these malefactors, sacrificing a great deal himself in the doing. They’re the selfsame reprobates as Brandon rails against in this essay, as it happens, villains badly in need of their just deserts. It’s now up to Real Americans to see to it that Trump’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain.

Like a fucking BOSS

Not a story I find particularly compelling, but Ace’s opening line makes it worth a post.

Stormy Daniels Loses Appeal; She Now Owes Trump $300,000 in Lawyers Fees
—Ace

Trump is the first man in history to present a prostitute with a bill.

Heh. Gotta love it. More, and funnier still:

Michael Avenatti pushed Stormy Daniels to bring this lawsuit for his own private interest, not hers. She was always exposed to this risk of having to pay huge lawyers’ fees — California’s defamation law has a provision that punishes those who bring lawsuits to reduce public participation in political debate, and Daniels walked right into this judgment for $300,000 by brining the suit in California.

And Avenatti told her to do that.

Not only did he steal the money she was owed for her book, but he also saddled her with $300,000 in lawyers’ fees for a suit that never should have been brought, just so he’d have something to talk about with Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper on CNN.

Oh: Coincidentally, the amount Avenatti embezzled from her for her “book” (really just another media-subsidized political hit and undisclosed, money-laundered campaign contribution to the Democrats) was also $300,000.

Daniels says she’ll go to jail rather than “pay a penny” to Trump.

Hey, fine by me, ya dumb cooze. Your body, your choice and all that, and Trump won’t miss the money. As a career hooker, You should feel right at home in lockdown; I’m sure it won’t be your first visit.

What took you so long?

I expected this WAY before now, as y’all know.

I sense a disturbance in the force. In fact, I’ve been feeling the tremors for a while. Back in January, I wrote a column for American Greatness called “The Coming Dethronement of Joe Biden.” In it, I noted that Biden’s appalling performance as president would sooner or later—and probably sooner, given the ostentatious nature of his multifaceted failure—lead to his removal as president.

I should have added that it wasn’t Biden’s performance per se that would lead to his downfall. The problem, rather, was the way his performance was undermining his—and therefore his minders’ and puppetmasters’—political power. As Saul Alinsky, community organizer to the stars, noted, the “issue is never the issue.” Accordingly, the people who put Joe Biden in power—I cannot name them, but I know they are the same people who keep him in power—do not care about inflation, rising gas and food prices, COVID lockdowns or mask mandates, the porousness of our Southern border, the threat of war with Russia, or the myriad other issues that worry ordinary voters. I am quite certain, in fact, that the word “voters” brings a vaguely contemptuous smile to their faces.

They are not troubled by the suffering of the people, indeed, they approve of a certain amount of suffering. Suffering produces dependency; and dependency, in turn, is like an insurance policy for those who cater to it: the bureaucrats who fill the troughs that feed the populace. The point, of course, was never to end the dependency but to manage in such a way as to perpetuate and expand it. Joe Biden is an errand boy, a figurehead, in the metabolism of this great (not to say Great Society) act of political legerdemain.

The last several days have been full of wonder at the New York Time’s admission that, guess what, Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” was not—as Joe Biden claimed—“Russian disinformation.” Nope, everything that Donald Trump said to Leslie Stahl about it was true. Everything the New York Post said about it was true. Twitter and the rest of the regime media pronounced a damnatio memoriae on the Post and anyone who dared publicize the scurrilous story. The poor computer repair chap who found and publicized the dirt, political as well as sexual, on Hunter’s laptop was hounded and driven into bankruptcy. (Remember Jonah Goldberg on that poor fellow? I do. “Wait you believe the computer repair shop story? Like at face value?”)

Goldberg is but one of many who—if this were a better world and they were better people—would be scrambling madly to make a shamefaced apology to those of us upon whom the passage of time has now conferred total vindication.

Many people seem to think that the reason that the story of Hunter’s laptop—which is just as much about Joe Biden’s perfidy as it is about Hunter’s perversion—has emerged now is because it can no longer do any serious damage. The election is over, Biden won—at least, he was declared the winner, which is not quite the same thing, although it does mean that he gets to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

But I wonder if there isn’t something else going on. The news is full not only of stories about the New York Times fessing up, sort of, about the contents of Hunter’s laptop, but also of stories about how Hunter is likely to be indicted for tax fraud. In one sense, that is not news. I wrote about it at the end of 2020 when Hunter announced, sotto voce, that he had been informed that he was being investigated by the tax authorities. But in another sense, I suspect, that news, like the revelation from the New York Times that, what do you know, all that stuff about Hunter’s laptop was on the level, like Joe Biden’s bizarre suggestion a couple of days ago that “everybody knows somebody” who has taken nude pictures of some lover and then used them to “blackmail” the person—all that has a different valence now that the Biden Administration is seriously underwater and there are no lifelines in evidence.

The issue is never the issue. I suspect that Joe Biden is being prepped for ejection. Exactly how it will happen I do not yet know. But he is on the threshold, or possibly has even passed the threshold, where he could appear to govern. His minders understand this. They must be the ones to replace him, otherwise they themselves risk being replaced, which would be intolerable. As I say, it’s not entirely clear yet how the defenestration will take place. Obviously, Kamala will have to be dealt with first, and she will be. Look for some ground softening stories such as the Times just served up about the laptop. They won’t be long in coming.

T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished—not because it would solve any problems, not that it would fix anything, not that it would signal any monumental Ruling Class capitulation—simply because it would be a painful, humiliating slap in the face for two grubby little mountebanks who are long past due for one.

All good things

Say it ain’t so, Duck Duck Go.

Diet Google: DuckDuckGo Will ‘Down-Rank’ What It Decides Is ‘Disinformation’
Popular privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo, commonly considered an alternative to Google, has announced that it will be “down-ranking” sites associated with “disinformation,” along with adding “information boxes” to “highlight quality information.” The announcement received widespread backlash from DuckDuckGo supporters, who view the changes as adopting the censorship policies of the Masters of the Universe.

In a recent Twitter post, the CEO of privacy-focused search engine DuckDuckGo announced that the company would be downranking “sites associated with disinformation,” which has been a popular tactic by Google for years to reduce user access to content it considers objectionable.

DuckDuckGo CEO Gabriel Weinberg tweeted about the decision, stating that it was an effort to reduce Russian disinformation online. “Like so many others I am sickened by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the gigantic humanitarian crisis it continues to create. #StandWithUkraine️,” Weinberg stated, adding: “At DuckDuckGo, we’ve been rolling out search updates that down-rank sites associated with Russian disinformation.”

Weinberg goes on to say that DuckDuckGo will also be placing news modules and information boxes at the top of certain search results to highlight “quality information for rapidly unfolding topics.” This was a method used by many search engines and social media sites during the coronavirus pandemic to push official government narratives and information — that regularly changed drastically — to internet users.

Many were quick to point out that DuckDuckGo’s democratic approach to information was one of the major selling points of the website in the first place.

I must confess that the biggest selling point for me was simply that they weren’t Google. I’ll stick with DDG, at least for now, but won’t be cheerleading for them the way I had been until this move. It’s like this:

DuckDuckGo is apparently deciding that it has the judgment and authority to define and determine what is “relevant,” just like every other search engine. The company’s argument is that privacy and propaganda are two separate matters. Consequently, it appears the only difference between it and other search engines is that, by refraining from tracking its users, DuckDuckGo won’t know who they are censoring and propagandizing. And, per Weinberg’s “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden” defense, if any user expected more that’s on them, not on DuckDuckGo.

Perhaps. But what is on Weinberg is the fact that, like others in a lengthy line of morally weak Big Tech titans, he evidently can’t resist the temptation to shape how and what his users should consider and conclude.

As for dissatisfied DuckDuckGo users and countless others around the world, the key question remains: Where can they find a search engine that both respects privacy and rejects censorship?

Ain’t one, I’m afraid. Hopefully some enterprising soul will step up quickly to fill this new gap.

Broke, scraggly, and hongry

The price of going Green is multifarious, untethered to any kind of reality, and utterly ruinous.

The issue is that farmland without fertilizer is vastly less productive. Without fertilizer, corn and wheat yields in the United States would decline by more than 40%. But as prices promise to go much higher, farmers will either have to skimp on fertilizer or raise prices of their own products a lot.

Then, too, there are skyrocketing prices for gasoline and diesel, which are essential for today’s mechanized farming and for getting food to consumers. Add these increases in cost and decreases in production to the shortages likely to come from the Ukraine invasion, and we’re looking at really dramatic increases in food prices. In the West this will mean discomfort. Elsewhere it will mean starvation. Bureaucrats aren’t helping.

Some people want to put more land under cultivation. Scottish farmers and planners have asked the government to allow farmland programmed for “rewilding” to be put back into production in response to anticipated food shortages. But that’s too sensible for our green elites. Scotland’s Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity Lorna Slater — yes, that’s her full title — has flatly refused. According to Slater, “We are still in a nature emergency that hasn’t gone away…so it’s a no.”

Nature emergencies outrank human emergencies in the green world, so that’s not a surprise. Voters may feel differently as prices skyrocket. The island nation of Sri Lanka offers a stark warning. A green experiment in abandoning artificial fertilizer there — encouraged by the Rockefeller Foundation — was a “brutal and swift” economic and humanitarian disaster, Foreign Policy reports.

“Against claims that organic methods can produce comparable yields to conventional farming, domestic rice production fell 20 percent in just the first six months. Sri Lanka, long self-sufficient in rice production, has been forced to import $450 million worth of rice even as domestic prices for this staple of the national diet surged by around 50 percent. The ban also devastated the nation’s tea crop, its primary export and source of foreign exchange.”

FP continues: “Human costs have been even greater. Prior to the pandemic’s outbreak, the country had proudly achieved upper-middle-income status. Today, half a million people have sunk back into poverty.”

Sri Lanka’s policy, which FP describes as a “farrago of magical thinking, technocratic hubris, ideological delusion, self-dealing and sheer shortsightedness,” imposed enormous human damage on the nation. But don’t worry — the government and NGO officials behind it won’t miss any meals. Consequences are for the little people.

With the triple-barreled threat of inflation, soaring fuel prices and shrunken food supplies, the world faces something like the same fate, and once again those responsible are unlikely to pay the price. (But maybe some will. After all, food shortages led to the Arab Spring riots and the overturning of governments.)

Regardless, the world’s policymakers need to take a less casual approach to the well-being of the world’s population. That very much includes those in the Biden administration. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack’s response to concerns about fertilizer and food shortages: “Maybe sacrifices are necessary.” You can rest assured Vilsack won’t be the one making them.

And that right there is PRECISELY what must be changed. Right across the board we see that politicians and bureaucrats have stood the natural order of things right on its head; a proper balance must be restored , forcefully and without further delay.

Update! Divemedic unearths more enviro-folly.

The Federal government has rescinded the license extension of the Turkey Point nuclear power plant, located near Miami. The stated reason is that global climate change will cause sea levels to rise, and the plant’s environmental impact statement didn’t take that into account.

So instead, we will continue to rely upon coal plants. There is no way that wind and solar can make up for the loss of this plant. That plant produces 12 gigawatt hours of electric power per year.

In comparison, every solar panel in the state of Florida produces 7.5 gigawatt hours each year, combined.

The aforementioned price isn’t paid in dollars and cents alone, not by a long yard. But no matter the currency, human misery and deprivation is always what we’re buying.

TruckerDoom followup

So in phone consultation with BCE earlier, he mentioned that Bayou Pete had taken notice of one of my earlier posts wherein I quoted my brother’s dire warning that, if diesel prices rise much more (which, they’re gonna), thousands of drivers will be giving up and getting out of the business. Here’s a portion of Pete’s lament:

What does that mean in raw figures?

  • Owner-Operators primarily operate Class 8 Trucks (33,001 pounds and greater). There were approximately 2.9 million registered combination trucks (tractor-trailers) in 2018.
  • There are approximately 350,000 owner operators driving in the United States today…Owner Operators make up 9% of the truckers on the road today.
  • Nearly 1.5 million people work for the 124,320 employer businesses in this industry, and another 587,000 are self-employed, or “nonemployers” … These nonemployers (assuming one person per business) make up nearly 29% of the workers in the industry.

So, if independent owner-operators have to park their trucks because they can’t recover their fuel costs from their customers, we’re talking about a 10% reduction in the number of trucks available to haul freight – this on top of an existing supply chain crunch that’s got every truck running as hard as it can, all day, every day, just to try to keep pace. We’re also talking about a quarter to a third of those involved in the trucking industry being out of work.

Our supply chain simply can’t handle such losses. It’ll be crippled.

Yep, t’will…along with just about everything else. Remember the trucker’s mantra: If you have it, a truck brought it. Sorry to say, but today my brother had more bad tidings. His current rig, a Freightliner Classic XL with rebuilt engine and tranny, a new clutch, and some other goodies, to include oversize 150 gallon fuel tanks (those big chrome drums you can see on most all trucks under the doors on eah side, unless they’re hidden behind some plastic covers). This afternoon on the way back from Charleston it cost him nearly 700 smackers to fill just halfway up.

As of about a half hour ago, Little Bro hasn’t decided whether he’s gonna work tomorrow yet.

Be sure to click through to catch Peter’s closing ‘graphs. It’s just as he says: all these things—trucker shortages, bare store shelves, absurdly high fuel costs, systemic Bidenflation—have a common root cause, which can be found in Mordor On The Potomac.

No. Just…NO

Here they go again.

(A) group of 27 foreign policy heavyweights has signed an open letter to the Biden administration calling for a “limited no-fly zone.” The campaign is led by ROBERT MCCONNELL, co-founder of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation.

Russian President VLADIMIR PUTIN warned Saturday that Russia would view any nation declaring a no-fly zone “as participants of the military conflict.” It’s one of the few things that Biden and Putin seem to agree on: A no-fly zone would start a war between NATO and Russia.

Well, DUH. Establishing a “no-fly zone” being, y’know, an act of war and all, requiring as it will the destruction of Russian military assets up to and including fighter jets and/or pilots. One doesn’t have to have deep family ties to the Rodina to understand how that might be viewed by the Rooskies as hostile and aggressive behavior, no?

But in their new letter, these signatories are calling for something a little different:

Yeah, I just bet so. Problem being, however “limited” this piss-poor joke of a proposal might be, “no-fly zone” still means pretty much what it means: physically denying Russia the ability to conduct aerial-combat operations, to put the aviation component of its military force into action.

As president, Bill Clinton made promises to Ukraine he shouldn’t have, thereby writing checks that the US and NATO of 2022 can’t possibly cash, and maybe even shouldn’t. While I hate tyranny anywhere and any way it rears its ugly head, admire the spirit the Ukies have shown so far, and wish them well generally, one fact remains: not our circus, not our monkeys. It’s like this, I believe:

Oh, mustn’t forget:

Some of the big names who signed: retired Gen. PHILIP BREEDLOVE, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe; IAN BRZEZINSKI, former deputy assistant secretary of Defense; PAULA DOBRIANSKY, former undersecretary of State for global affairs; ERIC EDELMAN, former undersecretary of Defense; EVELYN FARKAS, former deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, Eurasia; DANIEL FRIED, former assistant secretary of State and U.S. ambassador to Poland; JOHN HERBST, former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine; JOHN KORNBLUM, former assistant secretary of State and U.S. ambassador to Germany; DAVID MERKEL, former deputy assistant secretary of State and NSC director; WILLIAM TAYLOR, former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine; ALEXANDER VERSHBOW, former U.S. ambassador to Russia and NATO; and KURT VOLKER, former U.S. ambassador to NATO and special representative for Ukraine negotiations.

All them big brains, all that experience, all that savvy…and not a win to be found among ’em.
