Only in America

I don’t find myself saying that too often these days, since as we’ve spiraled deeper and deeper into the triplet Black Holes of globalism, futility, and collapse the phrase becomes less of a truism and more empty bluster—asthmatic rah-rah from a spirit squad blind to the fact that the game is over, their side was whipped like a redheaded stepchild, and the home-team fans have long since filed out of the stadium in dejection and defeat, going home to console themselves into stupefaction with strong drink.

In this instance, though, the slogan is most apt, and no two ways about it.

Another angle. As he says, note the delighted roar of the crowd for AmeriCat’s amazing reprieve:

Like a fuckin’ BOSS, baby! As Tom Cruise so memorably said:

Beautiful is precisely what it was. Granted that YMMV, as always, I don’t think “legend” is too strong a word, myself.

You have ONE job…

You wanna moralize and preach, become a minister. Otherwise, just shut up and doctor.

An insidious sentiment has begun metastasizing throughout the United States and Britain, expressed by politicians, pundits, and – most disturbingly – by physicians themselves: that the unvaccinated who contract Covid-19 should be denied medical care.

It gets worse. A former US senator from Missouri, Claire McCaskill, also wants the unvaccinated to have their insurance rates raised. Piers Morgan, the British TV personality, demands to his nearly 8 million Twitter followers that the NHS must refuse them hospital beds. An emergency medical physician in Arizona responds to a video clip of people unmasked in a grocery store with a message, “Let ‘em die”. A liver surgeon at Massachusetts General suggests that declining a Covid vaccine should be treated by doctors as a functional Do Not Intubate/Do Not Resuscitate order.

These are neither private thoughts nor quiet conversations with overworked colleagues: these are calls to action, shared on social media, intended for public consumption.

This should terrify you.

Actually, it should enrage you, and fill you with what was long ago called a terrible resolve.

The above is from a long-ish piece by a fellow Weird Dave says is a “Moron, children’s book author and doctor (listed in order of importance)“, and is a must-read for sure. I’d love to pull more from it for this post, but since there’s already a lengthy list of other items I hope to get around to, this brief excerpt will have to suffice.

Innarnuts: WON

By unanimous acclaim.

Take THAT!
That’s gonna leave a mark

Swiped from Aesop, who piles on bigly:

Could somebody get a big icepack for Dr. Fauci to put on the giant red handprint on the side of his face from that roundhouse bitchslap from a Nobel Prize Winner in Medicine? And maybe a crowbar, to get his glasses un-imbedded from his cheek, after he pries his own head out of his ass?

Nah, let the toxic gnome suffer, I say. I’m pretty sure Faulsi prefers his head right where it is anyway, and would resent any attempt to retrieve it.

Learn by example

Expat sounds the cautionary note, making a much better job of it than I did with my own clumsy attempt the other night.

I know it’s a bitter pill to swallow. I know it’s retardation at it’s finest. Thing is, it also shows how desperate they’re getting. All you have to do is quietly fail to comply. Refuse. Remember the -best- way is to use some of the shit that brought another Socialist Bureaucratic-Oriented DotGov to it’s knees. That was Poland.

Yeah…Solidarity and their leader, true Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa. They most definitely don’t teach -anything- about the Solidarity Movement is schools here anymore. Nope, that’d be counterproductive to the plan. It ended up being a primarily peaceful overthrow-by-undermining the State via strikes, ridicule, and whatnot. Directly lifted from Wiki (not exactly an r/ourguys site):

“In the 1980s, Solidarity was a broad anti-bureaucratic social movement, using methods of civil resistance to advance the causes of workers’ rights and social change. Government attempts in the early 1980s to destroy the union through the imposition of martial law in Poland and the use of political repression failed.”

Part of -why- it worked was that they essentially undercut like everything. They started at the docks first, refusing to unload ships, which was a HUGE part of Poland’s trade. They did strikes, walk-offs all the usual union stuff. Not for nothing, I was living in Austria as a kid and remember watching it on a Black and White TV with my DeadDad wondering if the Rooskies were going to roll in the Armor like they did in oh so many other places. It was big news to all the ‘Muricans overseas…Thing was, we didn’t know it, but Ivan the Bear at the time was a hollowed out pale shadow of it’s former badass self…Sound familiar don’t it?

So yep. They’re going the same route. They as in Leviathan. The DotGov is trying to ‘rile us up’ into doing -something- that provokes us. And their “false flag department”, while still active, is sort of, pardon the pun, IMO “out of ammunition” as no one fucking believes their bullshit-filled-bullshitting selves any longer. They/, as they say, went for the ‘cheap regular thrills’ and now? It’s gonna have to be a really huge Whangdoodle of a -something- to get our attention these days. And if it’s that big and horrific, guesstimates on my end are No One is going to believe them at all.

Hell…I’m getting intel that MANY Regular Army Units are in almost open rebellion mode now. Troops are openly mocking the CinC (illegal to do on active duty) and daring the can’t cunt commanders to try something.

Know what gives me a little frisson of delight and makes my neck hairs stand on end? The prospect of Fuck Joe Bi-den, Fuck Joe Bid-en becoming a standard marching cadence in use by all units of the dot-mil. Not gonna happen, I know, but still.

Side note, apropos of nothing: Y’all feel free to correct me if I’m remembering it wrong here, but I seem to recall the “can’t cunt” formulation BCE just deployed as a trademark Marcinkoism, as in “no-load pusnutted pencilnecked diplo-dink can’t-cunt” etc etc. I have just about all of Demo Dick’s books around here someplace, and greatly enjoyed ’em personally. On the other hand, when I was at NAS Oceana for Cousin Reg’s CoC thing at the O-club (mentioned here more than once just recently), opinions on the self-styled “Sharkman of the Delta” at our table were decidedly, umm, mixed. Anyways.

Add on that at almost every. single. college foozball game, the most popular chant is now “Fuck Joe Biden”. That right there is some ‘Romanian Level” shit right there. And for those of you not in the historical aspect of things, Romania was a Communist Dictatorship, until it wasn’t.

Ordinally I don’t transcribe links or embed pitchers from posts I’m excerpting, since that would be hard and I’m fucking shiftless. But the pic that follows BCE’s last ‘graph is so compelling, so damned inspiring in light of the current sorry situation Real Americans now find themselves in, I just gotta make an exception this time.

Beautiful, man!
Sic semper tyrannis

The contemporaneous news story is equally inspiring, a real spirit-lifter:

PARIS (AP) _ Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu wept silently and his wife Elena begged for mercy as soldiers readied them for the firing squad, according to footage of their execution broadcast Sunday.

Extracts of the graphic 90-minute videotape were aired exclusively by the French television network TF1. They are the most detailed look yet at the execution Dec. 25 at a military base outside Bucharest. The Ceausescus were executed days after being toppled by a popular revolution.

″Don’t attack us 3/8 We have the right to die the way we want,″ Elena Ceausescu told soldiers and the 10-person civilian-military tribunal that sentenced the couple to death.

Nicolae Ceausescu, who ruled Romania with an iron fist for a quarter- century, struggled briefly with the soldiers but said nothing. Tears rolled down his cheeks.

Soldiers placed the couple, who were not blindfolded, against a brick wall and others rapidly opened fire, emptying their magazines. The Ceausescus crumpled under the bullets, which also peppered the brick wall.

A medic then looked for signs of life in the eyes of Elena Ceausescu as blood poured from her head. He found none.

Does it get any better than that? Yes. Amazingly, yes.

The cameraman recording the execution was accidentally wounded, said TF1 journalist Patrick Bourrat.

Okay, I officially got chills here. I mean, really, now: two despotic, heartless, mass-murdering monsters taken down by popular revolt and put up against the wall for a first-class, express-ticket ride on the Hot Rails to Hell for a face-to-face confab with their Dark Master…PLUS, some journoweasel contracts hisself a slight case of lead poisoning in the bargain TOO? My cup runneth over, people.

While I ease down off the singularly delightful high brought on by the idea of certain Mordor on the Potomac demon-spawned orcs being treated to a similar fate in the quite-near future, do click on over for the rest of BCE’s sage advice. I’ll be back once I get the mess my spontaneous orgasm created all over the desk and chair sponged up.

Still at it

Nobody trolls ’em like Trump.

A raging mob of Culture Jihadists successfully removed a massive statue of Robert E. Lee in Richmond, Virginia. The crowd cheered, “Black Lives Matter” as crews literally cut the giant statue in half.

Following is a statement from President Trump about the great evil that happened in Virginia today:

Just watched as a massive crane took down the magnificent and very famous statue of “Robert E. Lee On His Horse” in Richmond, Virginia. It has long been recognized as a beautiful piece of bronze sculpture. To add insult to injury, those who support this “taking” now plan to cut it into three pieces, and throw this work of art into storage prior to its complete desecration.

Robert E. Lee is considered by many Generals to be the greatest strategist of them all. President Lincoln wanted him to command the North, in which case the war would have been over in one day. Robert E. Lee instead chose the other side because of his great love of Virginia, and except for Gettysburg, would have won the war. He should be remembered as perhaps the greatest unifying force after the war was over, ardent in his resolve to bring the North and South together through many means of reconciliation and imploring his soldiers to do their duty in becoming good citizens of this Country.

Our culture is being destroyed and our history and heritage, both good and bad, are being extinguished by the Radical Left, and we can’t let that happen! If only we had Robert E. Lee to command our troops in Afghanistan, that disaster would have ended in a complete and total victory many years ago. What an embarrassment we are suffering because we don’t have the genius of a Robert E. Lee!

Heh. Good one, Mr President-In-Exile, sir. After today’s godawful events, a slight rejiggering of Archie and Edith‘s famous ditty is in order: Mister, we could use a man like Herbert Hoover Robert E Lee again

To Sefton

So my very first blog-stop every day, after I’ve painfully hauled my creaky, clanky old carcass out of bed, grabbed a cuppa Joe, and lit the first smoke of the day, is always JJ Sefton’s reliably-excellent Morning Report over at the ol’ AoSHQ. As y’all no doubt know, last Thursday I did a post (“Time to wise up, dont’cha think?“) gingerly (well, for me) taking Sefton to task for this passage in that day’s edition of the MR:

Emphasis mine, because with all due respect to the author, RUFKM? We’re going to play by rules which the other side not only never does but now never needs to because the game, the stadium and the entire league has been wiped out?! Please. Let’s stop pretending. The thugs and terrorist goons of Antifa and BLM are already assaulting us in the streets while the crooked cops, DAs and judges are throwing us into political prisons just for daring to show up in public. But, that said, I think it’s crucial to still show up and vote, not so much being confident that Dao-Min Yen can’t steal the election, but that in the likely event that that happens it will just underscore the fact that America is no more and that we are being held hostage, in many ways just like the hundreds or thousands of Americans left behind in Afghanistan.

I registered my (frankly niggling) disagreement with JJ here with as much caution and reserve as I could muster—neither of those things being what anybody would call my long suit, since I never have had a whole hell of a lot of ’em to begin with—and did so with great reluctance and trepidation. I’ve been a tremendous fan of Sefton’s skillful, astute blogging since before he even came on board at the ol’ Ace Place. JJ is a damned fine writer, and in my opinion has made a valuable contribution at AoSHQ since taking up the post there. The last thing in the world I’d ever want to do would be to antagonize him, slight or insult him, or hurt him personally in any way. As I said in the post: he’s one of Our Guys, and a highly admirable and valuable one at that, one of the most indispensible players on Team Liberty’s first-string squad of heartbreakers and lifetakers.

With that mind, I published the Thursday post with no slight trepidation, although in truth I also didn’t really think it too likely that JJ would ever even see the damned thing. For one thing, there’s never yet been a link to CF from the HQ to my knowledge; honestly, I have no idea if Ace or any of the cobs over there even look in on this site at all. Which, y’know, that’s perfectly okay, I got no gripe with ’em for it. Although I rely a good bit on the HQ as a blog-fodder source, I’ve had no more than a brief and perfectly cordial email exchange or two with Ace over the years, and no such correspondence with any of the cobs. Which, too, is perfectly okay. They do their thing, I do mine. I like their work, I respect them, I check their site more than once a day. We have a great many beliefs and opinions in common, but not all of them. That’s as it should be, too. Anyone who finds himself in one hundred percent, across-the-board agreement with someone else is probably crazy as a shithouse rat, a certified headcase.

The folks over there have made AoSHQ a genuine blogosphere juggernaut, one of the biggest of the Bigs, by dint of a lot of what Heinlein called “skull sweat,” dedication, and effort. Having been on this beat myself for twenty years now almost to the very day, I know full well how much work it is, what it requires of the person doing it. Trust me, this blogging gig takes a lot more out of a fella than most who haven’t tried it probably realize— it’s way more time- and labor-intensive, more just plain exhausting, than you might think. The people at AoSHQ didn’t rise to their current lofty position by either coincidence or dumb luck, I assure you.

So in light of all of the above, imagine my surprise to see this earlier today:

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and it’s back to work and school after the long Labor Day weekend. Or at least it would be if we were living in normal times. But this is the “new normal” where we are through a glass and darkly. I don’t usually respond to criticism but in this instance I feel it will help make my point about the state of play and what it means for all of us. Mike over at Cold Fury was a bit irked with my observations on elections in a post-2020 world:

I do hate to look as if I’m jumping all over JJ here; I have tremendous respect for him, and always enjoy his posts. Thankfully, after the above-noted momentary swerve into the “Vote HARDERER!TM” ditch, he righted himself and got back on track again with those closing ‘graphs. But I declare, if I see one more of Our Guys (and Sefton surely is that) so much as bring up American “elections” again as if they still mattered as anything other than pure theater, I may just start rending my garments, tearing out what hair I have left, and swallowing my tongue over it.

It’s a fair point, because I too have on more than one occasion called out pundits, respected and otherwise, who write the most perceptive essays on where we’re at yet shit all over them in the end with exhortations to organize and/or “Vote HARDERER.” In my own defense I will chalk it up to not adequately articulating and organizing my thoughts insofar as my perception of things, so with that let me see if I can get it right. As I said, through a glass and darkly. It’s some sort of alternate reality where everything appears to function as before but it’s all wrong. Terribly wrong. For me that happened 20 years ago this week. Shock, numbness, and denial. After that comes acceptance and G-d help me if I ever feel that because I’ll have to stick my head in an oven. Assuming we haven’t banned natural gas by then.

A perfect response, in my opinion, adroitly and handsomely done. JJ goes on from there to make another point I’ve been meaning to get around to myself, but haven’t yet found time or opportunity for it:

Some people, and absolutely justifiably so, are calling for the impeachment and removal from office of Joe Biden.

The Afghanistan disaster has surely taken out what little fetid wind was left in the sails of Nancy Pelosi’s Trump-hate, January 6 committee. Instead of a Monrovian “era of good feelings,” America is having and executing a time of increasing unease over bad policy failings in every important field, ostensibly presided over by an opinionated but incoherent man approaching the last extremity of cognition adequate to hold such a great office. It cannot go on like this and it won’t.

Joe Biden is not up to the job. Barring a miracle (and they do occur sometimes), he will not go on for three-and-a-half years. The powers that be in the Democratic Party appear already to be trying to shuffle the vice president out of the deck and bring in someone who might be able to hold the commanding heights of American government through what is building up to be a broad consensus for radical changes of personnel and policy.

Aside from his blind worship of FDR which has rendered more than a few otherwise cogent essays unreadable, I really like and respect Conrad Black. But here too, the “miracle” he’s relying on is not Biden lasting until 2024, but of a leopard changing its spots. Joe Biden is merely the proverbial deck chair on the Titanic. The entire Democrat Party, and sad to say most of the GOP, are at best incompetent grifters and at worst anti-American ideologues. Even if you got rid of both parties we’re still left with the Leviathan bureaucracy – including our military – that is 100% Marxist/socialist and a seriously corrupted judiciary which is just as bad. And that’s just government. The same rot has infected our schools, private sector and even our houses of worship. I am in total agreement that some sort of miracle is required at this point. But replacing Biden and even Harris along with him, is not it.

Black, like so many people, is still under the illusion that America functions under regular order, with the rules, conventions and norms associated with them respected and followed. Canadian or not, the fact that he and so many others cannot or will not see that the USA as of last January 6th has been overthrown is troubling to say the least. Troubling but understandable. It’s human nature to not want to face that horrible, undeniable truth. Maybe that’s why I dithered or sent mixed signals about voting.

Ironically enough, I’m smack in the middle of work on a post saying almost exactly the same thing. Mine will undoubtedly be a lot wordier than his, with wild stream-of-consciousness digressions, overlooked typos, and miscellaneous other grammatical, syntatical, conceptual, and structural atrocities scattered throughout. Hey, you get what you pay for, people. Now, to the thrilling conclusion:

But there’s no denying that the enemy is doing all it can to consolidate power, control elections, flood the country with foreigners (now including unvetted Afghanis in the thousands), and continue to use a phony health “crisis” as a means to eviscerate whatever shred of the Constitution still existing. Did I mention sick a feral law enforcement and intelligence apparatus on anyone who dares object, soon to be aided and abetted by a military that can’t fight the PLA or the Taliban but has its weapons trained on the climate and “insurrectionists” but mostly average G-d fearing Americans.

So, what do we do? If you vote, they’ll steal it or otherwise create some other pretext to cancel the elections to avoid being ousted, Dao-Min Yen notwithstanding. If we don’t vote, they win automatically and declare a mandate (which is what they do win, lose or draw anyway). Do we take to the streets peacefully? That risks being arrested for insurrection. Do we do nothing? I wish I knew what to tell you. We are out of time. Either there is a mass movement of civil disobedience where people really do have to risk everything here and now or else it’s over over here. And there for 500 years as the Pox ChiCom-ica replaces the Pax Americana.

I’ve never felt so helpless, useless and hopeless in my entire life. I’m just sick and tired. Maybe I just need to eat something.

Fret not, my friend. The way things are going, NOT feeling the way you do would be something to worry about. Your reaction, though certainly discomfiting and unpleasant, is the only sane, appropriate option for any American whose moral compass and integrity remain intact and functional. The problem here ain’t with you. It’s with them—with what they’ve done, and continue to get away with doing. It’s a bona fide litany of outrage and evil so excessive, so brazen, so mind-bendingly perverse that it might make even Lucifer himself blanche and recoil in disgust. As a decent and honorable man yourself, if you weren’t positively choking from despair, gloom, and incandescent rage over the whole sordid mess, it would be an indication that there’s something seriously, seriously wrong with you.

First step to tyranny

A look back at the origins of the ever-metastasizing societal plague that is Safetyism.

Americans’ love affair with the car has cooled off but not because Americans don’t love cars. Rather, it is because of what cars have become.

Once, they were like the pretty girl who smiled at you in class, back in high school. They made your pulse uptick, filled your mind with happy possibilities. You wanted one. And – once upon a time – the one often led to the other.

Or at least, helped.

Now, cars are like a sourpuss pants-suit-wearing wife who long ago stopped smiling at you – and bats away your hand when you try to hold hers. You don’t want to see – much less hear her anymore – and wish you could get away from her, but you need to stay married for the sake of the kids or so as to avoid losing your shirt.

This transition occurred because of the sourpuss, pant-suit-wearing types, not necessarily your wife – which makes it even worse.

Pants-suiters such as Joan Claybrook – the old sourpuss who headed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (italics added for the should-be-obvious reason) back in the ‘70s, when saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety – as defined by some old sourpuss – somehow became a function of government, formerly concerned with ensuring that people’s rights were respected and dealing with people who caused harm to others.

Claybrook was a disciple and acolyte of another pants-suiter who happened to be male, nominally – Ralph Nader. He was the John the Baptist figure of Safetysim, the cult which first ruined cars and is now ruining everything else.

Nader anointed himself a “public citizen” and began to “represent” the “public,” despite not one member of the actual public ever having voted to give this man proxy power to “represent” them or anyone else. He and his termagant protege began to agitate for the government to impose (via regulations) “safety” standards upon new cars; which is to say, to impose them upon new car buyers – most of whom had previously expressed no interest in them, as via a willingness to pay for them. And who may have had a very different view of what “safety” constitutes.

For some, “safety” meant a car that was road-worthy, free of defects in design or manufacture that rendered it dangerous to drive  – controlled by a driver competent to sit behind the wheel.

For Nader and his heirs – including Claybrook – it meant a car that idiot-proofed against a driver who probably should be a passenger.

Nader became famous by smearing the Chevrolet Corvair, which was an unusual car for an American car of the early ‘60s. It was rear-engined, like a Porsche – which made the front end light and also made for easy steering without need of power steering. It was a very nimble-handling car, which was also very unusual for an American car of the early 1960s.

But it was important to read – and follow – the tire inflation pressure recommendations, which were not the same, front-to-rear. And that was also unusual, for an American car. The sticker was right there, but some people didn’t read it – and inflated all four tires to the same PSI. This worsened the lift-throttle (in a curve) oversteer tendency that all rear-engined cars – including the same era Porsches and VW Beetles – were prone to. Just as front-drive cars today tend to understeer when put into a curve at high speed.

Ralph who-didn’t-drive and who dislikes cars blamed the car – describing it (though not the fundamentally similar Porsche or VW Beetle) as Unsafe at Any Speed. His fame – and influence – spread. Abetted by an if-it-bleeds-it-leads media, corporations were browbeaten and government was empowered.

Cars were festooned with ugly “5 MPH” bumpers, ruining their looks like braces mar the face of an otherwise pretty girl. Seatbelt interlocks were ordered. You had to “buckle up” before you could drive.

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaafety became policy. Not roadworthiness. Not competence. Beauty – and fun – took a back seat to how fast you could drive a car into a tree and live. Every time someone did something idiotic, everyone else got idiot-proofed.

Well, naturally. I mean, surely you’ve heard the eternal Safetyist war-cry: IF EVEN ONE LIFE IS SAVED…!!!

Had a conversation with my brother a few days back, wherein we were running down all the truly wonderful things that have been taken from us, as well as the many more things that will be gone for good as the result of the Coming Unpleasantness and its aftermath. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the sentiment of sadness, puzzlement, and regret for these collective losses (or thefts) expressed better than the way Jack Nicholson does here:

Really says it all, don’t it? I’ve run this clip here numerous times over the years; perhaps the most frightening thing of all is how, as time goes by and our losses keep mounting, the sting of truth in the words of George’s brilliant soliloquy only becomes more haunting, more painful.

Building a bridge

Smug, conceited asshole afflicted with a Stage 4 case of SSC™ (Shitlib Superiority Complex) is Doin’ It Wrong.

Imagine you bought a book with the title How to Talk to A Contemptible Idiot Who Is Kind of Evil. You open the book, and read the author earnestly telling you how important it is that you listen, and show empathy, and acknowledge why the people you’re talking to might believe the things they believe. If you want to persuade them, he says, you need to treat them with respect! But all the way through the book, the author continues to refer to the people he wants to persuade as “contemptible idiots who are kind of evil”.

He has no interest in “persuading” anybody. His interest is the same one he shares with every other shitlib, which is actually three-fold: 1) strutting about like the Church Lady in joyous celebration of his clearly superior intellect and virtue; 2) rationalizing his equally-clear mania for viciously smiting his enemies; and 3) crushing any and all disagreement with his clearly-superior religious beliefs—which, although he’d purple with rage at such a vile insult, is exactly what they are.

At one stage he even says: “When speaking to a contemptible idiot who is kind of evil, don’t call them a contemptible idiot who is kind of evil! Many contemptible idiots find that language insulting.” But he continues to do it, and frequently segues into lengthy digressions about how stupid and harmful the idiots’ beliefs are. Presumably you would not feel that the author had really taken his own advice on board.

This is very much how I feel about How to Talk to A Science Denier, by the Harvard philosopher Lee McIntyre.

Ahh, there we are. I knew that particular resume item, or something so close to it as to be indistinguishable, would be cropping up in there sooner or later.

But there’s a bigger problem. McIntyre’s big question, as mentioned, is asking: What evidence would it take to change your mind? But at no point does McIntyre ever ask himself what it would take to change his mind.

For instance: when he was talking to the Pennsylvania coal miners, he accepted that they were just trying to feed their families. I assume he’d also acknowledge that Chinese coal mining is allowing that country to get richer and improve its citizens’ way of life. But I don’t think I’m misrepresenting him when I say that he thinks coal mining is a disaster.

When he talks to a friend of his about GMOs, though, that friend says that even though GMOs can save lives now (in the form of golden rice), they’ll cause disaster in the future. McIntyre says, OK, so the kids who can’t get the golden rice now, they’re just going to die? And his friend says yes. McIntyre says that’s easy for him to say, “because he had money and wouldn’t be one of the ones who suffered”.

The exact same question, though, can be asked about coal mining. Sure, McIntyre can say stop using coal, and it’ll help prevent future disasters. But it will also presumably mean some number of tens or hundreds of millions of Chinese people losing electric lights and functioning hospitals, and a smaller number of Pennsylvanians losing their jobs. McIntyre himself would be fine, except for somewhat higher electricity bills.

Is the tradeoff worth it? McIntyre clearly thinks so (and I think I do too): but what would change his mind? I can tell you: I would update my beliefs significantly if you showed me a utilitarian calculation showing that more people would be harmed by ending coal mining than by continuing it. But McIntyre never asks himself the question. He is stuck on transmit, never on receive.

Again: a garden-variety, Mark-1 Mod-0 characteristic common to all shitlibs. In fact, the obstinate refusal to humbly admit to any possibility that one could ever be wrong, about anything, is part of the core curriculum, a subject covered early in Liberalism 101.

(Via Insty)

Proper procedure: 1) Find something Communist; 2) kill it

GVDL has more on that CaliCom “teacher” who got a little too balls-out and brazen for the local school board Commies’ comfort, thereby forcing them to take action.

Here is part of a statement from just one of the parents who spoke at the meeting of the School Board when Gipe was fired:

You guys fired Gabriel Gipe today, because y’all got caught yesterday. As people have mentioned, this guy had an Antifa flag on his wall. He had Chairman Mao on his wall. He was indoctrinating these kids every single day. He was abusing them, scaring them every single day. Where the hell was the principal? Where was the vice principals? Where were the faculty at this school? Where was the superintendent? Where was the rest of the district? Where were you [the school board]?

Fully aware and approving of it, naturally, every single bit of it. I imagine they were quite proud of their scion and brother-in-brainwashing, in fact. Gipe is by no means alone, rare, or even at all unusual. On the contrary, he has co-conspirators burrowed deep into the flesh of this entire nation—sickening it, weakening it, killing it apurpose.

You know, he was fired today. Why wasn’t he fired a year ago? Why wasn’t he fired two years ago? Why did this go on for so long? Why are you only doing anything about it now? Cause you got caught, exactly. And you guys, you’re going to be held accountable. This is because of you. Gabriel Gipe is a symptom, not the sickness. The sickness is in the district. The sickness is in the school. It’s everywhere. And people are sick of it. We’re aware of it. We know what’s going on, especially now. And we know what you’re doing and we’re not going to let this go.

Glad to hear it; you mustn’t, not ever. Because as soon as you let your guard down, if only momentarily, it all begins anew. They are eternally waiting for decent, liberty-oriented Americans to relax their vigilance; they are extremely patient, cunning, and opportunistic. They are also cowards, a cowardice demonstrated by the sneaky, contemptibly-underhanded way in which they never fail to operate. They must be dealt with exactly as the loathsome parasites they so literally are: without mercy, without compassion, without remorse or restraint. Every hand must be raised against them, until this deadly infestation is finally broken and the body politic is restored to health, its lifeblood cleansed of the societally-fatal toxin injected quasi-clandestinely by the most insidious parasite of them all: Leftworms.

Radical transformation

From one of the most open, rowdy, and proudly untameable nations in all of Western Civ, to…this nightmarish obscenity?

Up to now one of Earth’s freest societies, Australia has become a hermit continent. How long can a country maintain emergency restrictions on its citizens’ lives while still calling itself a liberal democracy?

Australia has been testing the limits.

Before 2020, the idea of Australia all but forbidding its citizens from leaving the country, a restriction associated with Communist regimes, was unthinkable. Today, it is a widely accepted policy. “Australia’s borders are currently closed and international travel from Australia remains strictly controlled to help prevent the spread of COVID-19,” a government website declares. “International travel from Australia is only available if you are exempt or you have been granted an individual exemption.” The rule is enforced despite assurances on another government website, dedicated to setting forth Australia’s human-rights-treaty obligations, that the freedom to leave a country “cannot be made dependent on establishing a purpose or reason for leaving.”

The nation’s high court struck down a challenge to the country’s COVID-19 restrictions. “It may be accepted that the travel restrictions are harsh. It may also be accepted that they intrude upon individual rights,” it ruled. “But Parliament was aware of that.” Until last month, Australians who are residents of foreign countries were exempt from the rule so they could return to their residence. But the government tightened the restrictions further, trapping many of them in the country too.

All deeply dismaying, even if you aren’t an Ocker. But no matter where you reside, if you love freedom even slightly this next ought to scare the living bejeesus out of you.

Intrastate travel within Australia is also severely restricted. And the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained. “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

Ye gods and little fishes. That buries the needle on the Creepy-O-Meter dial, violently enough to shatter the glass cover. Proud? Thou fool. No South Australian has any right to feel proud ever again, unless and until they’ve seen to it that you and your malignant compatriots have all been hanged.

Other states also curtailed their citizens’ liberty in the name of safety. The state of Victoria announced a curfew and suspended its Parliament for key parts of the pandemic. “To put this in context, federal and state parliaments sat during both world wars and the Spanish Flu, and curfews have never been imposed,” the scholar John Lee observed in an article for the Brookings Institution. “In responding to a question about whether he had gone too far with respect to imposing a curfew (avoiding the question of why a curfew was needed when no other state had one), Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews replied: ‘it is not about human rights. It is about human life.’”

In New South Wales, Police Minister David Elliott defended the deployment of the Australian military to enforce lockdowns, telling the BBC that some residents of the state thought “the rules didn’t apply to them.” In Sydney, where more than 5 million people have been in lockdown for more than two months, and Melbourne, the country’s second-biggest city, anti-lockdown protests were banned, and when dissenters gathered anyway, hundreds were arrested and fined, Reuters reported.

Australia is undoubtedly a democracy, with multiple political parties, regular elections, and the peaceful transfer of power. But if a country indefinitely forbids its own citizens from leaving its borders, strands tens of thousands of its citizens abroad, puts strict rules on intrastate travel, prohibits citizens from leaving home without an excuse from an official government list, mandates masks even when people are outdoors and socially distanced, deploys the military to enforce those rules, bans protest, and arrests and fines dissenters, is that country still a liberal democracy?

Oh hell no. What that country is is a bare-knuckle, full-on dictatorship, using the trappings of liberal democracy as flimsy cover to conceal the monstrous face of tyranny and oppression.

To give Australia’s approach its due, temporary restrictions on liberty were far more defensible early in the pandemic, when many countries locked down and scientists understood little about COVID-19’s attributes or trajectory. Australian leaders hoped to “flatten the curve” of infection in an effort to prevent overcrowded hospitals and degraded care, and the higher death rates that would follow. The country was also betting that, within a time period short enough that restrictions could be sustained, scientists would develop a vaccine that protected against morbidity and mortality.

As it turned out, the bet paid off. Had it behaved rationally and adequately valued liberty, a rich nation like Australia would have spent lavishly—before knowing which vaccines would turn out to be most effective—to secure an adequate supply of many options for its people. It could afford to eat the cost of any extra doses and donate them to poorer countries. Australia then could have marshaled its military and civil society to vaccinate the nation as quickly as possible, lifted restrictions more fully than Europe and the United States did, and argued that the combination of fewer deaths and the more rapid return to normalcy made their approach a net win.

Beside the point and entirely irrelevant, every bit of it. The crucial point being the same one I’ve been adamant about from the earliest days of the Covid ploy: Freedom lost, or abandoned, cannot be regained without violence. Anyone who surrenders even the most seemingly insignificant or trivial scrap of his freedom must do so in the full realization that it is now forever lost to him. You never, EVER allow the government—any government, EVERY government—to take your freedom without a fight. Not for any reason, rationalization, or emergency. Period.

Bad as the above article is, dismaying and terrifying as it is, it’s still not the worst of it. This is:

What the hell is happening Down Under? “Totalitarianism,” says Tucker Carlson. “Australia has lost its collective mind,” according to Ben Shapiro. “If we invade Australia we will be greeted as liberators,” argues Jack Posobiec. Has Covid-19 really turned one of the world’s oldest democracies into a dystopian health dictatorship? As my Polish grandmother used to say, things are rarely as good or as bad as they appear.

To those half-jokingly tweeting about invading and liberating Australia, I have some bad news: Australia does not want to be liberated. Strong majorities support the harsh measures. Several state elections over this time have seen incumbents comfortably reelected on platforms of acting tough against Covid, amid messaging that those advocating a lighter touch want to kill your grandma. In Victoria, where the left-wing Labor government has been by far the harshest and most trigger-happy—Melbourne has been under “hard” lockdown for more than 200 days so far—polling suggests only a small dip in support, not nearly enough to unseat the administration. The consensus can be distilled into the following: Look at the rest of the world! Our government has kept us safe so far. We can’t allow what has happened in the United States or Europe to happen here.

American readers might be surprised at such a supine public attitude in the face of some of the hardest and longest-lasting Covid restrictions in the developed world. To the extent that Americans think of Australia, they might think of a staunch ally in wartime, or perhaps a relaxed but tough and rough-around-the-edges country that has produced Crocodile Dundee and a long procession of Hollywood’s leading action men. All that might be accurate, but the truth is that Australia simply does not (and never did) possess as strong a libertarian streak as America. For all the jokes about theirs being a “nation of convicts,” Australians have always been far more statist and beholden to authority than Americans.

How long can this last? If it was up to the drunk-on-power politicians and bureaucrats who have found a winning electoral formula, health experts who have found relevance, and the deathly scared who have found a sense of safety (and, for some at least, the frisson of being a part of something big and important), the answer is “forever.” Which is why the federal government—belatedly trying to orchestrate a return to some normalcy once certain vaccination levels are reached—finds its efforts contradicted by state governments and health experts arguing that the vaccination target actually needs to be (the unreachable and unrealistic) 90 percent or 95 percent, that lockdowns should continue even with a highly vaccinated population, and that international borders should stay closed indefinitely. That this is not great marketing—get vaccinated, but you still won’t be able to do anything!—needs no genius to recognize. Sadly, little evidence has materialized of any major shift in public sentiment. The powers that be still find it easy to taint the opposition to their “zero Covid” policies as callous, anti-science, anti-vax, right-wing extremists.

Crikey. It appears that poor Crocodile Dundee is well and truly dead—struck down in his prime not by the Dread Chinkenpox but by the hysterical, cowardly response to it from his easily-herded countrymen. From the looks of it, he never even existed in the first place. May the docile Australian people have joy of their horrifying choices. And may my own countrymen pay careful heed to the lesson the Land Down Under’s willful suicide offers us, before it’s too late to avoid succumbing to the same disgraceful fate ourselves.

UNEXPECTED!™

See if you can spot the “shocking” part of this story. Here, I’ll make it easy for ya.

The transgender individual who exposed himself in front of women and children at a California luxury spa earlier this year, has been charged with indecent exposure, the New York Post reported Thursday. Darren Agee Merager, 52, is a registered sex offender with two prior convictions of indecent exposure, according to the Post’s law-enforcement sources. Merager is also facing “six felony counts of indecent exposure over a separate locker room incident in December 2018,” according to the Post.

As American Greatness previously reported, several women complained last June, when the biological male allegedly exposed his penis at the Wi Spa in Los Angeles.

“Everything about the Wi Spa was a bunch of garbage and lies,” Merager told the Post. He said he is legally female in California and was in a jacuzzi in the women’s section when he was accosted by “Cubana Angel.”

“She never saw me naked. I was underwater with water all the way up to my chest,” he said.

Merager also denied ever being partially erect around children at the spa, insisting that he’s the actual victim of sexual harassment.

Law-enforcement sources told the Post that Merager is a tier-one registered sex offender with two prior convictions of indecent exposure stemming from incidents in 2002 and 2003 in California. He was convicted in 2008 for failing to register as a sex offender, the Post reported.

An internal alert from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department informed law enforcement departments in southern California in late 2018 that Merager’s M.O. was to identify as female to access female spaces.

“Merager claims to identify as female so he can access women’s locker rooms and showers,” the L.A. Sheriff’s Dept. flyer read.

PRECISELY what many of us warned of when the Left’s “LGBTQLNKZZZXP39++++” campaign bus was first getting cranked up and leaving the terminal: plain-vanilla degenerates and pedos using the new-found access to places formerly off-limits to them, now open for sicko business by the simple expedient of declaring themselves to be “transgender,” when they are clearly no such thing. How very ironic, then, that the enablers of such abuse would be the very Leftists who self-righteously clubbed Normals like baby seals as part of the larger effort to bring down America That Was via bringing down its long-cherished ideals, traditions and values—even the concept of normalcy itself—in the name of a phony “tolerance.”

Subterfuge; dishonesty; flouting observable reality to suit one’s own purposes or agenda: those things sure can take a fella far nowadays, can’t they?

Good luck in prison, Short Eyes. I understand you’re gonna need one helluva lot of that.

Prison Is ‘Living Hell’ for Pedophiles
In prison, fellow inmates derisively call pedophiles “chesters,” “tree jumpers” and “short eyes.”

Prison can be a menacing place for child molesters like the former Roman Catholic priest John Geoghan, who was killed in his cell Saturday — or for other alleged pedophile priests working their way through the criminal justice system.

“If you take out a sex offender like this former priest in Massachusetts, maybe the person who took him out thought he’d make a name of himself,” said Margot Bach, a spokeswoman for California Department of Corrections. “Taking [a pedophile] out would gain [the killer] a lot more respect among the other inmates.”

In fact, Goeghan’s accused killer, Joseph Druce, “looked upon Father Geoghan as a prize,” and plotted his killing for a month, John Conte, district attorney for Worcester County, Mass., told reporters Monday.

Such offenders, including Geoghan, often are placed into protective custody with other prisoners seen to be under a threat.

“Once their crime has become known, they usually don’t make it” without protective custody, said Lt. Ken Lewis, a corrections officer and spokesman at California’s Los Angeles County State Prison. “There’s a lot of [pedophiles] that can successfully make it…as long as they don’t brag about their offense.”

If they do talk, “they’ll get beat up,” Lewis added. “In some places he may even get his throat cut.”

Aww, what a shame. That ol’ Short Eyes Biden will never have to worry about any such, I mean.

Time to wise up, don’tchathink?

Time, and past time, I think. Even somebody as smart, perceptive, and plainspoken as JJ Sefton is not above a stumble now and then, as my boldface below points up:

Once again, in spite of all of these truths I still see the same types of posts from pundits warning of the exact same things we are all well aware of and yet at the end give us this kind of statement:

We’re in a battle between freedom and a new dark age of socialist intolerance, racism, and fascism — and the implications are global. Either we stand tall, or we go into that cold, dark night. Our decisions regarding this betrayal and treason will shape America for a decade or more. Either we use every constitutional tool to push back against the Democrats’ callous abuse or we succumb.

Oh, it will underscore it right enough—just as it has been underscored fifty bazillion goddamned times already. So how much “underscoring” will be enough before we all finally admit the truth—put simply, Box #2 has clearly failed us just as all but Number Four have, thus can no longer be of any use—and take effective action, regardless of how drastic or unappealing a one is required, based on that knowledge? Will there EVER be enough “underscoring” to rouse us from our passivity and torpor and inspire us to make these rotten bastards pay the price for their outrageous and multitudinous crimes?

Justice will not be served until Joe Biden, the fools at the Pentagon, DOD, Foggy Bottom, every agency and every bureaucracy in DC, the entire Democrat Party and anyone and everyone who conspired and still conspires with them are removed from power and prevented from holding any elective or appointed office. In point of fact, justice will not be served until he and a great many of the aforementioned are dangling from the gallows.

We cannot have a Constitution and we cannot have an America where any group has the ability to use those freedoms to enslave us. It took a little over 100 years but that is exactly what happened. Sorry to disappoint Ben Franklin and the Founders but we cannot keep a republic because human nature being what it is, a will to power by the forces of darkness and evil, just will not allow it. If we survive this period of darkness and defeat not only at the hands of our homegrown backstabbers but now from the very real threat of global Chinese imperialism and an Islamic caliphate along with them, then the Constitution will indeed be ‘wholly insufficient’ with which to rebuild.

I do hate to look as if I’m jumping all over JJ here; I have tremendous respect for him, and always enjoy his posts. Thankfully, after the above-noted momentary swerve into the “Vote HARDERER!™” ditch, he righted himself and got back on track again with those closing ‘graphs. But I declare, if I see one more of Our Guys (and Sefton surely is that) so much as bring up American “elections” again as if they still mattered as anything other than pure theater, I may just start rending my garments, tearing out what hair I have left, and swallowing my tongue over it.

Shitcanned

To the bread lines and sewer grates with you, Commie.

A California school district is planning on firing one of its teachers after an undercover Project Veritas video revealed he was radicalizing the students. According to Natomas Unified School District, “Yesterday, a group released an undercover video that has been covered extensively. In this video, a teacher at Inderkum High School was recorded sharing his educational approach that is disturbing and undermines the public’s trust.”

“Undermines the public’s trust”? SRSLY? What it OUGHT to do is kindle the public’s rage, enough so that said public breaks out the torches, pitchforks, tar, feathers, and a goodly lengthy of stout rope so as to properly dispose of this piece of debris, along with every other example of his loathsome ilk—permanently and with extreme prejudice.

The Project Veritas report released on Tuesday exposes Inderkum High School AP government teacher Gabriel Gipe for politically indoctrinating students and stating that he is turning his students into “revolutionaries.” “I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries … Scare the f— out of them,” said Gipe in the undercover footage filmed by Project Veritas.

Despite initially ignoring Project Veritas when approached, the district now says, “As of today, this teacher was placed on paid leave because of his actions and choices in the classroom. Natomas Unified will be taking the legally required next steps to place the teacher on unpaid leave and fire the teacher.”

The district also addressed the imagery in Gipe’s classroom, including the Antifa flag and the poster of the murderous dictator Mao Zedong. In their statement, the district notes they removed the imagery and also found more disturbing political material.

“Additionally, the teacher, using his own money, purchased a series of rubber stamps. These stamps include an inappropriate image of Josef Stalin with an insensitive phrase, as well as other stamps with Fidel Castro, Kim Jung Un and others,” the statement reads, noting the teacher used these stamps to mark work as complete.

The statement concludes with an apology to parents. “To the parents, students and other staff – NUSD is sorry that this reached this level of disruption.”

Yeah, I bet you are. I think it safe to say that it’s the “disruption” that bothers you most, and not the massive and quite intentional seeding of Communist infiltrators throughout the government schools all over the country, for the sole purpose of indoctrinating entire generations of American kids, poisoning their minds and blasting their unwary and impressionable souls. I’m glad you showed this contemptible tapeworm the door and all, also kinda surprised that you even did. But frankly, giving the old heave-ho to one single guy when we all know the system is rife with them doesn’t even amount to a good start in my book. Still, it’s one for the W column nonetheless.

Kudos once more to the dauntless James O’Keefe and PV for dragging another subversive outrage out into the clean light of day, not allowing it to be quietly swept under the rug and forgotten as the Inderkum HS bureauweasels would have much preferred. As for the worm Gipe, may he never find gainful employment again, and wind up living as a filthy, miserable stewbum on the streets for the rest of his worthless existence—sleeping under bridges and in roadside ditches; begging for pocket change from passersby who curse and shun him; rooting through reeking dumpsters for his meager sustenance—until such time as he finally fulfills his destiny by starving to death, alone and forgotten.

The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonored, and unsung.

A tale of two rockers

Compare, contrast.

Rock Legend Eric Clapton Says ‘This Has Gotta Stop’ In Anti-COVID Restrictions Anthem
Earlier this year, famed singer/songwriter/guitarist Eric Clapton spoke publicly about his negative experience with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, which he called “disastrous.”

“I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days, I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one,” Clapton said.

“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers,” he continued. “Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again.”

Clapton has now released a new song, “This Has Gotta Stop,” which is believed to be a vaccine protest song, though it seems to cover various themes related to COVID restrictions.

“This has gotta stop, enough is enough,” the song begins. “I can’t take this BS any longer.”

The legendary guitarist also references the impact COVID restrictions will have on children, and what the future holds for them. “Thinkin’ of my kids / What’s left for them / And then what’s coming down the road.”

But perhaps the most powerful verse is this: “Magna Carta, Bill of Rights / The constitution, what’s it worth? / You know they’re gonna grind us down, ah / Until it really hurts / Is this a sovereign nation / Or just a police state? / You better look out, people / Before it gets too late.”

There’s a vid of the new tune at the link, if you’re interested. I have to admit that I ain’t, much; Clapton is fine with me, and I do like some of his early stuff well enough, but he’s just never really set me on fire, let’s say. Give the man this, though: he’s one Englishter that understands freedom and the US Constitution one hell of a lot better than this decrepit old shitlib ever will.

Superannuated hyper-woke musician Neil Young, who is estimated to have a fortune of about 200 million dollars, is angry with musicians and promoters who are trying to make a living. Old Neil, who is legendary for jumping on every Leftist bandwagon that happens by, is terrified of the spread of Covid, and he is leading by example. In a statement published on his Neil Young Archives website Monday, Neil wrote: “Recently I pulled out of Farm Aid for fear that unprotected children may become infected with Covid by folks who went to the show, caught the virus, had no symptoms and returned home to hug their kids or someone else’s kids.” Yeah, can’t have normal human interaction. Can’t have music. All right. But not all of us have $200 million to get us by.

The virus that has Neil Young wanting to ban hugs and shut down the world has a 99% survival rate for most age groups, although it falls to 92% for the age group of most of the people who would want to attend a Neil Young concert in the first place. But Neil Young is terrified, and has found the root cause of the fact that far too many people are actually living their lives instead of cowering with fear in their living rooms, watching reruns of Friends, and ordering from UberEats. “I felt that we didn’t know what we were up against and we were endangering others, unprotected innocent children in particular,” he claims. “I know of tours that are out there and have to stop where they are and isolate in motels because one person among them tested positive. I ask myself, why are they out there?”

The answer chafes at the old multimillionaire’s socialist heart: “Money and business. These two need each other. This has been the American way for years and years. Now it has turned on the country in a new way.”

Of course. Some people are out there trying to make a living. Why don’t they just sit back and live on their royalties for a while, like selfless Neil?

This is a guy who once made an album called Freedom, but that was a long time ago. Now he sees people being altogether too free: “Folks see concerts advertised and think it must be OK to go and mingle. It’s not. These are super-spreader events, irresponsible Freedom Fests. We need Freedom to be safe. Not a bad example.”

Yes, Neil, way too much irresponsible exercise of freedom out there.

“We need Freedom to be safe”? You dolt, freedom has little, if anything, to do with safe. I won’t go so far as to say that the two are incompatible or contradictory, quite. But the acceptance of risk is embedded in the very idea of freedom; certainly, no people has ever won through to claim their freedom without taking serious risks to do so. Ol’ Neil Dung can shuffle on back to the old folk’s home, spark up a fat doob, and annoy his fellow geezers with stoned reminiscences of his long-past glory days from now on for all me. I’m with Ronnie: this Southern Man don’t need him around, anyhow.

Miracles happen

What a story.

Disfigured Kitten Rescued From The Trash By A 7-Year-Old Girl
Sometimes, we are so busy with life we don’t notice the things that are happening right around us. Maybe we are running late for the next meeting or appointment, or trying to make the subway on time. Either way, I urge you to slow down and enjoy this life; it already goes by so fast. There is no need to make it go by any faster. Unfortunately that is the case in Istanbul. Day in and day out people passed a trash can and avoided the crying coming from inside. Nobody is sure about the amount of time this creature was left in there, it could have been days or even weeks. Thousands of people passed by it though and not one curious person stopped to find out what the horrific cries were. Except for one 7-year-old girl who decided to stop and see what was making all of that noise.

This is a story of love and dedication. Without the will power of that 7-year-old girl, this abandoned cat would be dead. So many of us have passed by tragedy, hurt, and pain every single day and don’t even think twice to stop and help. Our lives are passing by us quickly and I challenge you, myself included, to stop and take in this amazing world we live in.

Amazing is indeed the mot juste. I advise you to grab the full box of Kleenex before you click over; you’ll find it’s awfully dusty in there, whether you’re a cat person or not. Do stick with it till the end, though; the initial photos of the poor little critter are so gruesome as to be quite painful to look at, but the transformation shown in the last shot is nothing short of…well, miraculous. And just like that, the story goes from heartbreaking and tragic to the happiest of happy endings, and will surely warm your heart and lift your spirits—something we could all use more of nowadays, every bit of it we can possibly get our hands on.
