Yes, they’re coming for your children; now, what are you gonna do about it?

Could this turn out to be the final straw—the one that breaks the camel’s back, driving the great mass of heretofore-complacent Americans to get off their duffs at long last and embrace an open, vigorous revolt against their avowed enemies in the federal government of the (former) United States?

For nearly two years, we’ve been told the Covid-19 “vaccines” offer varying degrees of protection while offering varying varying degrees of risks. The trajectory of these two attributes of the jabs have been heading in opposite directions every since their launch. At first, we were told the injections received emergency use authorization because they were 100% effective and offered zero risk. Over time, that effectiveness number has steadily dropped while the risk factor has risen, though the degree to which these numbers have fallen and risen has been shrouded by lies, gaslighting, and a persistent narrative.

The powers-that-be have continuously changed their own narrative, but one thing has remained consistent throughout. They continue to push for every man, woman, and child to be injected as many times as possible.

On today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show, I discussed several stories and played a few videos that highlight while today is a “tipping point” for vaccine tyranny. The perceived mandate by the CDC to force vaccinations on school-age children contradicts every piece of data we have available. Children face infinitesimal risks to Covid and far greater risks from the jabs themselves. On top of that, the jabs appear to have negative efficacy that gets worse with each subsequent shot, draining away immune systems and replacing what God gave us with the abominations of manufactured spike proteins and other chemical toxins.

If we can’t stop this, we can’t stop them at all. By no means does that mean we stop fighting. It simply means our fight is to save a remnant and to prevent tyranny from spreading more quickly.

Dude, we reached that stage long, long ago. Happily, though, there’s at least one state whose governor refuses to bend the knee to Leviathan’s evil, grasping minions.

Guess which one. Go on, guess. I dares ya.

Ron DeSantis: “There Will Be No Covid-19 ‘Vaccine’ Mandate for Children in Our Schools”

The CDC is adding the Covid-19 shots to the Childhood Immunization Schedule. This will compel some states to mandate the jabs for school-aged children. It will also prompt other states who are not locked into CDC guidelines to opt into them anyway.

But not Florida. Not on Ron DeSantis’s watch.

Wyoming Electric Vehicle Road Trip Nightmare: Man Spends 15 Hours to Travel 178 Miles Across State

A Colorado man learned the lesson of just how bad electric vehicles are for long-distance travel when he discovered that it took him 15 hellish hours to drive from Cheyenne to Casper, Wyoming.

At around 180 miles, this is a trip that only takes about three hours in a gas-powered vehicle. But because he was in an EV, the trip took five times more time to make the distance.

The 15-hour slog was his first attempt at using his EV for the trip to Wyoming. He has made the trip since, too. But he has only been able to shave four hours off that time, even with the experience.

The huge problem is, of course, a lack of charging stations. And since EVs only travel a few hundred miles between charges, that meant he was stuck trying to find places to charge — which were usually way out of his way — and then sit idly for hours as his vehicle charges up.

Certainly, electric cars themselves are not always a problem, especially for local driving. Instead, the problem comes with the Biden administration’s attempts to force Americans to switch to electric vehicles rather than allowing them to determine for themselves what kind of vehicle best fits their needs.

Another problem is the fact that our entire electric grid is not set up to charge millions of electric cars. Already this year California told EV users not to charge their cars during its repeated summer blackouts.

The hilarity rolls on from there, until we slam headlong into a grievous category error.

If individual consumers want to buy a far more expensive electric vehicle only to drive locally, that is their choice, of course. But the government’s idea that we all should be in an EV is simply not a logical goal.

Huston’s closing statement is based on a flawed premise: that FederalGovCo’s true aim here is to facilitate clean, Green transportation to save Mother Gaia and halt the deadly scourge of Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather™). Not so, I’m afraid, not at all; the true aim here is to inhibit freedom of movement for the Great Unwashed masses to the greatest extent possible, that’s all. Once you’ve got that bit down, the rest is all too logical.

Repeal the 17th—NOW

Ain’t gonna happen, of course, not without an epic cataclysm…most likely a bloody one. But while we’re just spitballing here, the 16th has to go too.

To Save America, Repeal the 17th Amendment

Last week we looked at the pernicious effects of the 16th amendment, and how for more than a century it has destroyed almost any chance the middle classes ever had of accumulating wealth, since their money is confiscated at the source, and has taught working Americans that the first call on the fruits of their labor belongs not to themselves and their families but to the federal government. (Real estate used to be the exception, although that too is now the province of the rich.)

Whereas the feds managed to scrape by from 1788, when the Constitution was ratified, to 1913, when the 16th was endorsed by 38 states (two more than the requisite number), on tariffs, and excise taxes, with only occasional resort to some sort of temporary income taxes, the way was now open for Washington to reach directly into the pockets of every American. This was a sea-change in the relationship of the federal government to the citizen, and the beginning of federal dominance over the very states which had given it birth and thus the entire population of the nation—not as members of sovereign states but as individuals.

The 16th, as several readers noted, was also significant in that it overturned the constitutional language regarding taxation under Article 1, Section 9: “No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.” That went out the window with the 16th and its game-changing language that “the Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

In other words, the idea that states could be subject to an individual “head count” tax of their residents only in direct proportion to their share of the overall population was now gone. This malevolent blunder turned out to be the first of several colossal blows to the nation-as-founded during the so-called “Progressive Era” headed by presidents Theodore Roosevelt (what in the world is he doing on Mount Rushmore?), the gloriously corpulent William Howard Taft, and the cadaverous Woodrow Wilson.

According to the liberal Khan Academy, the period was:

an era of intense social and political reform aimed at making progress toward a better society. Progressive Era reformers sought to harness the power of the federal government to eliminate unethical and unfair business practices, reduce corruption, and counteract the negative social effects of industrialization. During the Progressive Era, protections for workers and consumers were strengthened, and women finally achieved the right to vote.

That’s one way to look at it. The problem is, it’s looking at the era through the wrong end of the telescope by people who love the intentions and can afford to ignore the results. Left unquestioned is whether the federal government had the right under the Constitution to what it did. And the answer is clearly no—so it simply changed the Constitution via the perfectly legitimate amendment process, and induced a gullible and resentful populace to go along; recall that nobody thought the Income Tax had a snowball’s chance in hell of ratification, and yet it was ratified. (Don’t start yapping at me that the 16th was “illegally ratified.” It wasn’t, which makes things even worse.)

Which brings us to the 17th amendment. The relevant bit reads: “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. ” Prior to its ratification in 1913, the same year as the 16th and a spectacularly disastrous year for our real democracy, senators were chosen by the various state legislatures, in order to keep them tethered and answerable to their state governments: they were senators from the Great State of Whatever, not interchangeable “United States senators.”

I’ve been beating this particular dead horse for years hereabouts, and Walsh is perfectly correct: the 17th Amendment was the killshot for Constitutional governance, the Amendment that grotesquely flouted the core Founding concept of the sovereign States having their interests represented in the US government. As such, if you had to pick one specific development out of the myriad of ’em that cemented our status as a lowly, impotent Serf Class groaning under the immense weight of a bloated federal government whose power is without limit, whose expansion is perpetual, and whose intrusiveness is beyond challenge or even scrutiny, the 17th would have to be it.

There are two (2) primary obstacles standing in the way of any prospective restoration or rebirth of America That Was: the 17th Amendment, and the government “school” system. Unless and until those obstacles have been dealt with, the desperately needed American renaissance we all yearn so much to see will remain but a dream.

I’m shocked—SHOCKED!!!

Gee, who could possibly have seen this one coming?

A senior Pfizer executive has admitted under oath that the company never tested their Covid “vaccine” to see if it prevented transmission.

Pfizer’s Chief Executive in Charge of Developing Markets Janine Small was testifying in front of the European Parliament’s Special Committee on Covid19 on Monday, when Dutch MEP Rob Roos asked:

Was the Pfizer Covid vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market?

Small then replied:

Regarding the question around, um, did we know about stopping the immunisation [sic] before it entered the market? No, heh.

She further defended that decision by arguing Pfizer had to “move at the speed of science”.

Small says, “We had to really move at the speed of science…we had to do everything at risk.”

Not sure what “move at the speed of science” is supposed to mean, really, but whatevs. The part I like is her self-justifying whine that they “had to do everything at risk.”

Erm, s’cuse me for saying and all, but…uhhh, well, EXACTLY WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK RISK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, DEMONBITCH?!?  Because I seem to recall ALL the drug companies making the *cough cough* “vaccine” were specifically exempted from any and all risk by FederalGovCo edict, were they not?

I called her “Demonbitch” just now, and “Demonbitch” is exactly what I meant, too. Laura Cohen spells out why.

I’m still so angry about the vaccines, the vaccine mandates and what they did to my own family and to millions of others. And for what?

Dr. Naomi Wolf pointed out some time ago that everything that makes human life meaningful and connects us to a higher power was purposely targeted by the powers that be. Our synagogue was closed and followed all of Doug Ford’s stupid orders, but other communities set up clandestine synagogues in private homes, in backyards (when it wasn’t freezing) and many got ratted out and fined by neighbours. Throughout the pandemic, there were so many instances of humans behaving abominably to other humans that I cannot accept that each action happened in a vacuum without any link.

I can’t think of a single person I know who didn’t have some part of their life completely destroyed by the policies implemented by other humans and our governments. It was deeply evil, and as I’ve mentioned before, as soon as I had to leave work in the middle of the day mid-March 2020, I felt a chill and still haven’t been able to properly articulate the dread and feeling that something truly dark and sinister was upon us.

The convergence of so many wicked actions and people – the glee that other humans took in suffering and creating suffering – was truly demonic. Jews don’t believe in the Devil per se, so we differ with Christians in that. But Judaism certainly recognizes evil in many forms, particularly human. I don’t think I will ever, ever get over my anger about it all and the destruction and the wanton cruelty. There were many nights when I felt utterly chilled by the events surrounding me and my loved ones. The evil – the sadism – being reported about total strangers (nursing homes, hospital patients, people banned from family events, not being able to attend funerals, weddings, dying alone). I still cannot believe that anyone in their right mind could possibly ask “how did the Holocaust happen?” after the past almost three years.

Truly. A better question might be, why doesn’t a Holocaust happen every other year or so?

Fascism For Dummies

Know thine Leftist enemy.

It blows my mind how little many of those on the political left know about the insults they hurl at their political opponents, but when you call people fascists or compare the “We’re Number One” sign one sees when their team wins a sporting event to the Nazi salute, you show your own stupidity.

Or you show your own dishonesty, which is just as bad.

Fascism was designed as a ‘middle road’ that recognized three flaws in Marx’s model:

1) Marx’s model provided no incentive system, relying instead on the selflessness of everyone,

2) Marx viewed the communist model as being global, and while a global system may SOUND nice, nothing is implemented at that level. As such, fascism was a national, and not a global, model, and

3) Fascism was not utopian in nature, recognizing governance as a permanent fixture of any system.

The guy who invented fascism (Giovanni Gentile) was not trying to make a brand new political or economic system so much as he was trying to fix Marxism by removing its fatal flaws – primarily the lack of any incentive for anyone to work.

Giovanni Gentile was trying to take Marxism and apply the profit system – tightly controlled by the government – on top of it.

The Nazis were fascists, but they differed from other fascists in one critical area – they defined a ‘nation’ based on ethnicity rather than based on national borders. In other words, it was a very racist form of fascism.

Fascism existed all over Europe and South America before, during, and after WWII. Spain remained fascist until Franco died in the 1980s. Other than Germany, none of the fascist nations had a racist sense of ‘nationalism.’ Other than Germany, they all viewed ‘nation’ as something geographic, and when we look at the primary thing fascism tries to do, which is to have the state take control of the means of production while still allowing a state-controlled profit incentive to incentivize work – riddle me this: what modern political party does that sound like?!?

Three guesses, first two don’t etc. And if you think that’s just some kind of crazy coincidence, you don’t know your Leftists well enough. Try as they might to deceptively label fascism as a phenomenon emanating strictly from the Right, it just ain’t so. The whole mess can be summed up in one insightful sentence.

Fascism does not and cannot come from the American right, as the American right believes in limited government, individual liberty, and free markets – which are the literal opposite of what fascism calls for.

Yep, that’s about the size of it, and tells you all you’ll ever need to know about the Left. Unlimited, all-powerful government; invidious constraints on true liberty and the individual’s right to self-determination; tightly-controlled markets entirely under the thumb of government—these are the foundations on which Left ideology sits. In keeping with the Opposite Rule, under which the very thing Leftists scream most vehemently about the Right doing is exactly what they themselves are ACTUALLY doing…well, as the Good Book tells us, by their fruits ye shall know them, dig?

Gone in 60 70 seconds

The day what little remained of America That Was was murdered—on purpose, with malice aforethought, by evil, conniving bureaucrats.

On March 16, 2020, following a long weekend of negotiations and deals about the coronavirus, Donald Trump, Deborah Birx, and Anthony Fauci spoke at a White House press conference for the first time about nationwide lockdowns.

They handed out a sheet of paper – it mostly consisted of conventional health advice – that said in tiny print: “bars, restaurants, food courts, gyms, and other indoor and outdoor venues where groups of people congregate should be closed.”

Shut it all down. Everything. Everyone. As if the whole economy were a nightclub closing early.

This amounted to a full repudiation of not only the Constitution but also freedom itself. At the very least, it was a fundamental attack on the First Amendment guarantees of the freedom of religion because it attacked the rights of Christians, Jews, Muslims, and everyone.

All evidence suggests that Trump did not know that the tiny text was in there.

The reading of the text was left to the question and answer session.

Even when it was read by Fauci from the podium, Trump seemed distracted by something else, almost as if he did not hear or did not want to hear it. Later he bragged that the whole thing was his doing, but looking back at the history of that day, it is not so clear.

Let’s take this apart frame by frame to understand what happened in these 70 seconds as part of the Q&A session.

Which the author goes on to do, meticulously and deftly. Then:

Fauci reads the text and then he steps away from the microphone. He had just read what is in fact the most totalitarian instruction ever given by any government in the history of the world – I can’t think of another case of such a thing – that all human interaction must stop from sea to shining sea. After all, all congregate places include homes too. Then Fauci steps away from the microphone.

Here you can watch the full 70 seconds. Deconstruct it yourself. See what you think. It was momentous, probably the most significant in American history, the culmination of weeks of persuasion and planning.

Everything followed from that brief moment: lockdown chaos, the closed schools and churches, the end of basic rights, the wrecking of business, and then began the spending, inflating, mad welfare checks, and the demoralization of the population that continues to this day.

The population now subjected to shock and awe, the mask and vaccine mandates seemed minor by comparison.

All of it unfolded in 70 seconds on March 16, 2020. So far as I know, this is the first and only article written so far to reconstruct this brief moment in time.

And so it is, of which you should read the all, grim as it surely is.

Being human and all, Trump made many blunders during what by any standard would have to be acknowledged as a surpassingly momentous Presidency, but this one was probably the biggest, most damaging of them all. His inattention, in concert with his inexplicably blind faith in the good intentions and integrity of the Deep State’s horde of orcs like Fauci and Birx, would go on to doom him (and us) to a single term, and set the stage for the abominable “Biden administration” farce—a wholly disastrous “reign of witches” which will assuredly afflict America for generations to come, until such time as our posterity rediscovers their love for the blessings of liberty and determines that all and every measure must be taken to restore them.

Jefferson’s 1798 letter to John Taylor from whence the “reign of witches” quote originates, written in the wake of the passage of Adams’ notorious Alien and Sedition Acts, is worth reviewing at this point. Certainly, although there are significant distinctions to be noted between the circumstances of that era and our own, the thrust of the letter remains every bit as relevant today as it was back then, as is ever the case with the words and thoughts of the great man.

It is true that we are compleatly under the saddle of Massachusets & Connecticut, and that they ride us very hard, cruelly insulting our feelings as well as exhausting our strength and substance. Their natural friends, the three other eastern States, join them from a sort of family pride, and they have the art to divide certain other parts of the Union so as to make use of them to govern the whole. This is not new. It is the old practice of despots to use a part of the people to keep the rest in order, and those who have once got an ascendency and possessed themselves of all the resources of the nation, their revenues and offices, have immense means for retaining their advantages. But our present situation is not a natural one. The body of our countrymen is substantially republican through every part of the Union. It was the irresistable influence & popularity of Gen. Washington, played off by the cunning of Hamilton, which turned the government over to anti-republican hands, or turned the republican members, chosen by the people, into anti-republicans. He delivered it over to his successor in this state, and very untoward events, since improved with great artifice, have produced on the public mind the impression we see; but still, I repeat it, this is not the natural state. Time alone would bring round an order of things more correspondent to the sentiments of our constituents; but are there not events impending which will do it within a few months? The invasion of England, the public and authentic avowal of sentiments hostile to the leading principles of our Constitution, the prospect of a war in which we shall stand alone, land-tax, stamp-tax, increase of public debt, &c. Be this as it may, in every free & deliberating society there must, from the nature of man, be opposite parties & violent dissensions & discords; and one of these, for the most part, must prevail over the other for a longer or shorter time. Perhaps this party division is necessary to induce each to watch & delate to the people the proceedings of the other. But if on a temporary superiority of the one party, the other is to resort to a scission of the Union, no federal government can ever exist. If to rid ourselves of the present rule of Massachusets & Connecticut we break the Union, will the evil stop there? Suppose the N. England States alone cut off, will our natures be changed? are we not men still to the south of that, & with all the passions of men? Immediately we shall see a Pennsylvania & a Virginia party arise in the residuary confederacy ,and the public mind will be distracted with the same party spirit. What a game, too, will the one party have in their hands by eternally threatening the other that unless they do so & so, they will join their Northern neighbors. If we reduce our Union to Virginia & N. Carolina, immediately the conflict will be established between the representatives of these two States, and they will end by breaking into their simple units. Seeing, therefore, that an association of men who will not quarrel with one another is a thing which never yet existed, from the greatest confederacy of nations down to a town meeting or a vestry, seeing that we must have somebody to quarrel with, I had rather keep our New England associates for that purpose than to see our bickerings transferred to others. They are circumscribed within such narrow limits, & their population so full, that their numbers will ever be the minority, and they are marked, like the Jews, with such a peculiarity of character as to constitute from that circumstance the natural division of our parties. A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to it’s true principles. It is true that in the mean time we are suffering deeply in spirit, and incurring the horrors of a war & long oppressions of enormous public debt. But who can say what would be the evils of a scission, and when & where they would end? Better keep together as we are, hawl off from Europe as soon as we can, & from all attachments to any portions of it. And if we feel their power just sufficiently to hoop us together, it will be the happiest situation in which we can exist. If the game runs sometimes against us at home we must have patience till luck turns, & then we shall have an opportunity of winning back the principles we have lost, for this is a game where principles are the stake. Better luck, therefore, to us all; and health, happiness, & friendly salutations to yourself.

P. S. It is hardly necessary to caution you to let nothing of mine get before the public. A single sentence, got hold of by the Porcupines, will suffice to abuse & persecute me in their papers for months.

There can be no serious doubt that, if Thomas Jefferson was alive today, such “extremism” would long since have motivated the FBI to raid his home, rifle through his papers and personal effects, and roughly bunge him into durance vile for a long stretch, as retribution for his many “crimes against the State.”

Amerikan ordeal

Apologies to the author, JB Shurk, for my wanton stomping flat of the very concept of Fair Use. He’s written another of those excellent, Wilder-esque pieces that I just can’t see any way around it.

Several members of the community recently focused my attention on the plight of J6 political prisoner Jonathan Mellis, who has already spent nineteen months in the American Gulag for the “crime” of protesting against his government.

Mellis is one of hundreds who have endured the wrath of a wayward Washington politburo that has thrown Americans’ Bill of Rights and founding principles right out the window. Dennis Prager actually managed to secure a fifteen-minute interview with the incarcerated Mellis on December 22, 2021, and has replayed the disturbing audio for his listeners several times. I encourage anyone who has not already come across it to find a few minutes to concentrate on their conversation. The thirty-five-year-old Mellis, whom Prager identifies as a native Tennessean, although he was arrested in Virginia, sounds remarkably calm and composed, considering that he had already endured nearly a full year in jail (with no end yet in sight) and was obviously communicating with Prager from behind enemy lines.

His story is similar to those of other J6 political prisoners caught up in this abusive, Soviet-style purge, yet his descriptions are unnervingly poignant. Like so many of us who angrily watched as mass mail-in balloting and other pandemic-related voting shenanigans corrupted the 2020 election, Mellis hoped January 6 would stand as a historic day when civic-minded Americans engaging in political protest would successfully convince Congress and the courts to take a hard look at the suspicious irregularities tainting the election. He is undoubtedly a fiercely patriotic American who loves his country and would sacrifice anything for it. He speaks as a man committed to America’s foundations in liberty. He does not sound as if malice has blighted his heart. He arrived in D.C. to defend America’s standing as the “Land of the Free.” He expected to rectify an electoral injustice. He wanted D.C.’s permanent bureaucracy to visually see the resolve of millions of Americans’ moral conviction. He expected triumph. And he has received little but despair.

Instead of delivering historic jubilation, January 6 has marked a hard turning point in his life and the beginning of an unrelenting nightmare. He’s been in and out of solitary confinement, endured an onslaught of racist invective and other verbal abuse, witnessed beatings from guards, spit out contaminated food, been denied hygienic care, and suffered through an unsanitary hellscape of backed up toilets and filthy, fetid cells meant to break his will and coerce him into accepting some kind of plea deal. He describes the agony of surviving alone for days at a time, cut off from reality and forced to seek solace in the refuge of his mind. The last time he saw his father was when he was being dragged away with the kind of force one might expect to be used against a wanted terrorist. When his father, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, died a few months later, Judge Emmet Sullivan (yes, the same Sullivan who hounded General Michael Flynn and insisted on persecuting him long after the government sought to drop its politically-motivated criminal charges) summarily denied his request to attend the funeral, again equating him to a violent terrorist who must be made to suffer. In Mellis’s words, you hear the story of a man who has been psychologically tortured and kept in a constant state of apprehension at what will befall him next. You hear a man whom the federal government wishes to drown in fear.

Yet you also hear a man who refuses to break. “We sing the National Anthem every single night, at nine P.M., with our hands on our hearts,” he tells Prager. Imagine that for one small moment. The U.S. government — with its armies of prosecutors, FBI Gestapo squads, complicit judges, and corrupt news media propagandists who ask no questions while pushing the all-powerful State’s lies — has targeted Jonathan Mellis and nearly a thousand other Americans for being “insurrectionists” and “domestic terrorists” intent on “overthrowing” the United States. Yet it is Mellis and a few dozen other political prisoners who seek to lift each other’s spirits by singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” each night. You know — the poetic anthem that stirred in the mind and soul of Francis Scott Key as he watched a large American flag flying triumphantly over Fort McHenry while it sustained bombardment from Britain’s Royal Navy during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812.

So committed to “insurrection” and “overthrowing” the government of the United States are the federal government’s “dangerous” political prisoners that they gather their strength when they’re able and sing tribute to the very nation that inflicts upon them such grievous harm. These are the American patriots the D.C. Despots have decided to torment, torture, and betray. These are the lost Americans who have been mostly forgotten for now but who will one day serve as living testament to Washington’s venality and as a breathing reminder of the horrendously ignoble American Gulag. These are the Americans the federal government wishes to break before all our eyes, so that no citizen anywhere will ever again consider electing an unapproved outsider candidate for president, calling out government corruption, or demanding justice from those who pretend to dispense it. How many denizens of D.C. could even accurately recite America’s National Anthem? I wonder. It’s as Prager said to Mellis upon hearing about the patriotic revelry: “That, my friend, is considered an extremist.”  Damn right.

Because Mellis refuses to break, he will remain a target in the crosshairs of an immoral government dedicated to persecution, not principle. He is of particular focus because he was involved directly in the mêlée that resulted in Rosanne Boyland’s death. She “died right in front of me,” Mellis said on a recorded phone call from jail.  “I still hear the blood curdling screams for help at night.” Boyland’s death was originally blamed on a drug overdose, but video footage shows her being repeatedly beaten by a D.C. police officer. Mellis is seen pushing back against police, while trying to defend Boyland from further injury. As further evidence of good character, Mellis is recorded earlier in the day assisting an officer who had fallen into the crowd. Normally, we would recognize that kind of pattern-or-practice evidence as demonstrating moral courage. The federal criminal justice system sees it as proof why Mellis should be held in jail without bail, trial, or prospect of release.

None of this is right. We have gone so far beyond what is good and right or fair that the damage the Washington Establishment class continues to inflict will fester like an unhealed wound upon the nation’s body politic, striking even the most complacent among us with its putrid stench. The Occupant of the White House, Joe Biden, insists that when Americans have the temerity to question election results or the sacred honor of their government bureaucrats, they threaten the U.S. Constitution itself. As with most utterances from Biden, his words are un-American and preposterous. We seek a renewal of the Constitution and a rejection of the Washington Deep State’s casual disregard for its meaning and the intentional malice its bureaucratic servants dedicate to its degradation. Just as with Mellis and other J6 political prisoners, we stand with America.

As the horrific plight of Mellis and his fellow dissidents in the New Amerikan Gulag incontrovertibly confirms, America is but a fond memory. The title of the post is apt, blunt, and in a way, unfortunate: Enough Already: Release the J6 Political Prisoners. Until those Shurk calls “the most complacent among us” rouse themselves to effective action, the J6 Patriots will remain in durance vile—because the title’s explicit demand falls on the deaf ears of tyrants, who have no intention whatsoever of releasing anybody. If anything, the cells of the New Gulag will be filling up with many more of us as time rolls on, while we continue to do nothing in support of our unjustly-persecuted countrymen.

As of  9/6, there have been over 900 Americans arrested and charged for the “crime” of exercising their Constitutionally-guaranteed right to protest—to petition for redress of grievances. Around 65 or so of them are in prison, almost all of them convicted on bullshit charges of “parading,” not insurrection or treason. Of those, many have been denied any semblance of due process, and are incarcerated in squalid, inhumane conditions like poor Jon Mellis, as described above. If the soulless Swamp monsters and their willing dupes who prattle endlessly and insufferably on in turgid condemnation of the “destruction” and “damage” of the J6 “riots”; the “defiling” of “the citadel of our sacred democracy”; the “violence” of the J6 “insurrectionists”; and the “treason” committed by those dastardly “revolutionaries” really want to avert an encore, perhaps they could consider not doing things that make insurrection seem needful to MAGA Americans.

Don’t know when I’ve ever seen as concise and capacious a rundown of recent FederalGovCo criminality, abuse, and perfidy than in these first two ‘graphs.

The globalists’ programs for mass control of humanity have become glaringly obvious. They don’t even hide their intentions anymore behind veiled language, secret club meetings, or slanderous aspersions against their critics. They just say right out in the open, “Yep, we want to reduce the human population; control all energy used for commerce; regulate food production; censor all information antithetical to our goals; cynically divide humanity against itself by promoting meaningless wars, racial hostilities, and ludicrous social conflicts; and force the vast majority of the remaining humans in the future to survive as indentured servants who will own nothing and subsist on a diet of bugs.” That is an ugly, depressing, awful future to advertise. Yet so overconfident are the Great Resetters in their control over emerging artificial intelligence technologies, central bank digital currencies, biological warfare, and mass surveillance that they say exactly what they plan to do.

So confident is the permanent D.C. bureaucracy in its abilities to control all Americans that it no longer disguises its two-tiered “justice” system or pretends it cares a whit about hard fought American freedom. Raiding the personal residence of political “outsider” President Trump to intimidate other prospective adversaries to Washington’s corrupt Uniparty? Check. Murdering, hunting down, and imprisoning MAGA voters under the pretense of a bogus “insurrection” narrative supported by an equally corrupt news media and criminal “justice” system? Check. Hiring massive armies of IRS agents and other bureaucratic mercenaries to execute deadly force against American citizens while simultaneously cataloguing gun-owners in an ongoing effort to disarm the civilian population? Check. Using the “climate change” farce and fantasies of “systemic racism” to implement widespread political Marxism and economic redistribution of wealth indistinguishable from classic communism? Check. Intentionally subverting immigration law to flood American communities with drugs, human-trafficking, slave labor, and social disintegration? Check. Manipulating elections with fraudulent mail-in ballots and scant identification requirements? Check. Printing and spending U.S. dollars until inflation and inevitable currency collapse destroy Americans’ private wealth and leave them entirely dependent upon government-dispersed welfare? Check. Attacking religiously devout Christians as threats to the State? Check. Censorship of all dissenting opinion, confiscation of private property under the guise of tax and regulation authorities, Soviet show trials, and politically sanctioned professional demotions for anyone courageous enough to challenge the regime’s power? Check, check, check, and check!

Hubris. Absolute hubris. And we should love it. We couldn’t ask for a better drug to cloud the judgment of our enemies.They’re hooked, they can’t see clearly, and they will not change now or in the foreseeable future. What they possess with hollow overconfidence, they lack in sober wisdom. They’re drug addicts now, deluded in the supremacy of their own enduring power. These are dangerous people but people who are no longer grounded in any sense of reality. They think they control the quaking ground beneath their feet and believe that they alone will decide what stays in place. They see themselves as gods, and as with all false gods, their vanity will consume them.

Go back and find a time in history when hubris succeeded in subsuming the world to man’s will. What conqueror has ever succeeded in holding total power for long? When has overbearing authority not produced an equal and opposite human force of organic rebellion? When has the lust for total global dominion not fractured into a million tiny pieces from the uncontrollable energies of once inconsequential humans yearning to be free? When has the desire for One World Government — that seductive enticement that grips the minds of unscrupulous men, much like Tolkien’s “one ring to rule them all” — ever succeeded? Still waiting! The hunger for a global government where an aristocratic “elite” rules over everyone else has existed throughout human history, and just as with every misguided attempt to construct a perpetual motion machine or every alchemist effort to transform lead into gold, those who wish to rule humanity from the seat of an earthly throne always fail. They drown in the floods unleashed from their own magnificently destructive hubris. Show me a group of men who seek to rule the world, and I’ll tell you the tale of their ultimate annihilation. That is the story of man’s struggles in this life, and anyone too drunk with delusions of domination to know what’s coming will pay the price.

True enough that every tyrant carries the seed of his own eventual destruction within himself, but it’s of little if any comfort nevertheless. Nemesis can often be quite a long time a-coming, affording the despot an extended opportunity to inflict one hell of a lot of pain and misery on those unlucky souls anxiously awaiting her arrival.

Don’t anybody worry; I’m sure those good, über-competent patriots at our awesome FBI will spring into action any moment now to announce their total confustication as to what the motive for this might possibly have been.

Author Salman Rushdie is likely to lose one of his eyes and is currently on a ventilator after he was attacked on stage at a literary event in upstate New York on Friday, a report said.

“The news is not good,” the 75-year-old writer’s agent, Andrew Wylie, told The New York Times.

“Salman will likely lose one eye; the nerves in his arm were severed; and his liver was stabbed and damaged,” said Wylie.

Rushdie, who is still unable to speak, was attacked by a lone man while speaking at an event at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY, about 75 miles south of Buffalo.

He was scheduled to speak about the United States as a place for exiled authors “as a home for freedom of expression,” according to the institute. After the stabbing, he was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Yeah, well, not anymore, Salman. Not for a good, long while now, I’m afraid. That’s a battle we lost many moons ago, as you just found out yourself in a most horrible way.

A witness who was in the audience told The Post that Rushdie tried to run off the stage, and the two men scuffled before audience members rushed onstage to subdue the attacker.

His alleged attacker, 24-year-old Hadi Matar, of Fairview, New Jersey, was arrested by a state trooper at the scene, the Times reported.

Hm. Nice solid, all-American name there, wouldn’t you say? Why, a name like that fairly well screams “bred-in-the-bone, 100% AMERICAN by birth, lineage, and creed” to the high heavens. No wonder the FBI always finds itself so deeply perplexed every time yet another of these bizarre, inexplicable events happens, right out of a clear blue sky and against every expectation. Guess we’ll never know for sure what caused it.

Gimme a bang, not a whimper

The J6 Inquisition and its scores of innocent victims must not go unavenged.

Americans are witnessing something unprecedented: a congressional committee handpicked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi working seamlessly with a highly partisan Justice Department to criminalize political dissent. Contrary to the solemn insistence of known liars like Schiff and Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), none of it has anything to do with the four-hour disturbance on Capitol Hill more than 18 months ago but everything to do with dragging America into banana republic-style territory complete with political prisoners, kangaroo courts, secret police, forced confessions, and nonstop propaganda under the guise of “news.”

As this Democratic Party crusade has unfolded over the past year and a half, most Republican officials have been silent as the regime flagrantly flouts the Constitution and the boundaries of decency and tradition. Some leaders, most notably Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), have embraced the description of January 6 as an “insurrection” and blame Trump for what happened that day.

While congressional Republicans bury their heads in the Democrats’ latest pit of political quicksand, their voters are not as gullible. According to a report this week by Axios, a GOP-led House is planning to retaliate for the conduct of the January 6 selection committee by launching an investigation into the committee itself—not necessarily because top Republicans have the stomach for the fight but because they are getting an earful from their constituents. “The base is out for blood on subpoenas,” tied to investigations of January 6, Hunter Biden, the coronavirus response, and the Afghanistan withdrawal, a House Republican aide told Axios.

One would be hard pressed to find McCarthy criticizing the FBI even after agents arrested Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro at Reagan National Airport and placed him leg shackles on a contempt of Congress charge: ditto for FBI harassment of former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark and Trump campaign lawyer John Eastman. Yet McCarthy was quick to call for Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-Neb.) to resign after a California jury found him guilty of lying to federal investigators in a clear case of FBI entrapment. (Fortenberry is appealing the verdict.)

Some members of McCarthy’s caucus, thankfully, are taking a more aggressive approach. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and a few others are demanding justice for the January 6 detainees and condemning D.C. correctional officials for harsh treatment of Trump supporters in custody. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), who lost his Republican primary last week, asked Capitol Police and Pelosi’s office to preserve all documents pertaining to January 6, accusing Pelosi of obstructing “Republican access to House records relating to the security preparedness of the Capitol complex.”

But sternly worded letters and empty promises won’t do the trick this time around; rank-and-file Republicans won’t be fooled again. After a much-hyped Durham probe ends with a whimper, House Democrats ratchet up their public pursuit of Trump associates, and the Justice Department continues to arrest Capitol trespassers and seek lengthy jail sentences for minor offenses, the base’s appetite for political blood will only increase. GOP leaders will need a cutthroat approach if they retake power next year.

I wouldn’t be holding my breath waiting on it, Jules. One thing we can say about the Vichy GOPe wing of the Uniparty: once they’ve been bought, they stay bought. Which means that if Real Americans truly want to see justice done for this monstrous travesty, they’re gonna have to stand up on their hind legs and do it themselves.

The long and the short of it

This is why I won’t buy an electric pickup (or any electric vehicle): the new electric F-150 only has a 100 mile range when towing.

Actually, I’m shocked that it’s even capable of towing at all, whether for 300 miles or 300 feet.

Part of owning a vehicle of any type, what makes it such an American experience is that owning a vehicle is freedom. Freedom to go where you want. Electric vehicles with 300 miles or less of range take that from you, tethering you to a short distance from your home. The quintessential American road trip will cease to exist if electric cars become the norm. A part of America will die with the automobile.

That’s the whole idea, natch. At the end of the day, the shitlibs’ determination to hang the EV albatros around American necks isn’t about efficiency, pollution, Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly “the weather”), saving Gaia, or anything else. It’s about freedom, see—they hate it like the cancer, can’t abide the thought of anybody having any, and will go to any and every conceivable length to put a stop to it forever.

To show the potential issues with Red Flag laws, I shall discuss what happened to a client with the issuance of a protection order against him. He had an ex-wife who was bipolar and who refused to take her meds. She continued to harass him years after their divorce.

She showed up to court with a black eye and said he punched her in the face. She sought a protective order against him, which the judge issued. She also filed a criminal complaint for assault against a woman. The protective order statute requires gun confiscation until hearing.

Client learned about this when the police showed up to serve him with the order and summons for court appearance. He was stunned by this not only because he didn’t hit her but because he was out of the state on the date this supposedly happened. He told the police this.

The police shrugged and said we’re just here to serve you and get your guns. That is true. The cops do not adjudicate, they only do what the court says. So he turned over his guns and then got in touch with us later that day. Boss [I assume this means alexthechick’s boss at the law firm] and he were long time friends.

Boss told him to get together every bit of documentation about him being out of town, hotel receipts, meal receipts, any video of him at the gathering he was attending, all of it. Boss also got in touch with the DA and said he was out of state, he couldn’t have done this.

DA said I’m not dropping this but move to dismiss and we’ll hear both motions at the 10 day hearing on the protective order. So we filed the motion to dismiss and motion to consolidate and then Boss went to the hearing. The crazy ex didn’t show up to the hearing at all.

Boss presented everything to the judge. Judge told the DA withdraw the charges or I’m dismissing. The DA said fine, I’ll withdraw. Now, it’s better for the stats on the DAs side to withdraw than to have the case dismissed. Judge also refused to extend the protective order.

Client asked where do I pick up my guns. Judge said you have to go through the paperwork to do that. We’d anticipated that so we had the forms ready and the judge signed the forms. Client said where do I pick them up and judge said this has to be processed, it’ll take three weeks.

Client also asked the DA when the hearing would be for the ex’s perjury charges. The DA said what perjury charges? Client got very upset because it was obviously perjury, he wasn’t even in the state, she provably lied, that’s perjury. DA said no we don’t charge in these cases.

Three weeks go by and client starts calling the sheriff’s office to get his guns back. He keeps getting the run around. Boss had to threaten to go back to court to get an order compelling compliance. When client picked up the guns, his Mossberg shotgun was gone.

The sheriff’s office initially denied that he even had one, luckily he’d kept a copy of the inventory. It took seven months for him to get reimbursement for the Mossberg. The sheriff’s office never did say what happened to it other than there must have been a mix up.

While all of that is going on, client was looking for work. He had two interviews that went well and he was told that he would be offered the job once the background check was done. Both jobs retracted offers after the background check came back.

So we had to get copies of the background checks from the background check services. Sure enough, due to how the database on the state side was maintained, the data scrape pulled the protection order and the charge but the dismissal wasn’t showing up yet.

Client now had to decide if he wanted to disclose to a potential employer that, hey, I have a crazy ex who claims false things about me, here’s a copy of the dismissal paperwork or if he wanted to wait the five weeks it would take for the dismissals to propagate through the dbase.

Also the dismissal paperwork on the criminal charges was marked dismissed due to failure of complaining witness to appear. That said nothing about she lied about this entire thing. Boss had to explain the situation to an employer who, thankfully, listened.

Because they were friends, Boss handled this at a very low rate. It still cost the guy $2,500. If it had been at Boss’s standard rate? Well over $10,000. All for something that was an actual lie. But but but alex! Due process! It worked! Sure. In theory, it did.

The protection order was not renewed. The criminal charges were dropped. He got all but one of his guns back. He got a job, eventually. It all worked. Sure it did. All it cost him was $2,500, months of his life, humiliation during interviews, and immense stress. For a lie.

This guy, mind, had done nothing wrong; he had committed no crime, had never harmed a single soul with his deadly, e-ville ARSENAL!!! of GUNSGUNSGUNSGUNSGUNS!!! He did, however, make one mistake, a really bad one: he married a psychotic, vengeful, conniving bitch, then decided to rectify his error and ditch her batshit-crazy ass formally and legally.

And that—thanks to the megalomania and ghoulish opportunism of American ProPols, Soviet-style “red-flag” laws, and the cowardly anti-gun mania of the typical American “liberal” panic-ninny—was all it took for the ÜberState to get its talons well and truly into him and turn his whole life upside down and inside out.

Now lest we forget, this guy is one of the lucky ones. The story ended more or less happily for him; dude got two of his three guns back and was eventually reimbursed for the Mossberg shotter the cops stole, after lying about it—albeit only partially, it seems safe to assume. But for every gun guy with a grudge-nursing spouse, neighbor, or co-worker who somehow gets to skate away as relatively cleanly as Alexthechick’s lucky client, you can be sure that, as this “red-flag” horseshit continues to gain traction across the FUSA, there will be at least five, perhaps even ten less fortunate but equally innocent souls who, after five or ten years of desperately fighting a losing battle with The Power, ends up bankrupted by lawyer’s fees, fines, and court costs; jobless, maybe even homeless also; and stripped of not just a gun collection he spent years and mucho dinero and trabajo putting together, but a painful chunk of everything else he owns as well.

No one seems to really know for sure, but there are currently betwixt twenty and perhaps as high as forty thousand-plus gun laws on the books in this *cough cough* “free” country—a country in which a solid share of its citizenry is constantly congratulating itself on having done such a bang-up job of understanding, treasuring, and defending its precious Second Amendment rights. INESCAPABLE FACT: One more gun-control law, or a hundred of them, is not going to prevent a single sad-sack whackadoodle bound and determined to engrave his name into the annals of mass-murdering fiends from securing his fifteen minutes of notoriety. Only children and/or the blood-simple could seriously imagine that a real solution might be so easily found.

Are there effective measures that could be taken to make it more difficult, even damned near impossible, for such sickos to consummate their diseased fantasies of score-settling and schoolyard mayhem? Absolutely, yes. But we’re unlikely to avail ourselves of them, because they will necessarily involve a sort of cascading series of long-term projects that will strike a lethargic, by-and-large contented adult population as too extreme, too unpleasant, and in direct contravention of the verymost fundamental American principles. Which, okay, I admit they are at that. But still. For whatever it might be worth, then, we must:

  • Surgically excise the malignancies seeded by the Left like time-bombs throughout American society and institutions, which in turn will require that we
  • Disrupt and erode the Left’s ability to exercise unwholesome or destructive influence on American society and institutions henceforth, no matter what it might take
  • Develop uncompromising, proactive strategies to counter and/or prevent dissemination of political philosophies which advocate replacing our Founding ideals with collectivist, Statist, Marxist/socialist, or totalitarian-Left ideological systems

Doing those things won’t rid us of this nightmarish scourge immediately; nothing can, more’s the pity. But, in concert with a broad resurgence of enthusiasm for Christian piety and restraint, responsible adulthood, traditional family life, maturity, and moderation, as the very middle-class (ie, Whypeepuh) virtues the Left spent decades denigrating as suffocating, stilted, and unnatural gradually come back to preeminence, these school shooters As J Christian Adams so brilliantly opined in his seminal 2018 piece:

The millennial generation might be surprised to learn that theirs is the first without guns in school. Just 30 years ago, high school kids rode the bus with rifles and shot their guns at high school rifle ranges.

After another school shooting, it’s time to ask: what changed?

Thirty years ago, kids who brought their rifles to the high school shooting range didn’t wonder about evil and cultural decay. They simply lived in a time in America when right and wrong were more starkly defined, where expectations about behavior were clear, and wickedness hadn’t been normalized.

The idea that guns caused the carnage we have faced is so intellectually bankrupt that it isn’t worth discussing.

Perfectly true, I couldn’t agree more. So it’s high time we stopped discussing it then, wouldn’tcha say? Gun-grabber SOP after each of these hideous massacres has become so familiar, so by-rote and predictable, it’s now gotten tiresome as well as pointless. We know what they’re really after; they know that we see through them and have NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER of letting them achieve their ultimate goal. From here on out, let’s not allow them to drag us along for yet another ride down the same old road. From here on out, the discussion is OVER. We ain’t gonna play your game anymore. The one and only way you’re ever going to get them will be bullets first. Period, full fucking stop, end of fucking story.

At this late date, statistics, comparative analysis, common sense, the historical record, and observable reality have all made it perfectly clear that, here in the United States of America in this, the Year of our Lord 2022, we do NOT have a gun problem. What we have is a Democrat problem, a Leftist problem, a liberal problem. From the calculated rubbling of a once healthy, orderly, and decent society—said rubbling being the fruit of a dimwit nihilism that provided a kind of soul-stunting chrysalis from whence, like so many Death’s-Head moths, the school shooters could crawl into the light of day; to staggering hyperinflation; to a wantonly shattered economy; to unprecedented shortages; to unheard-of prices for the fossil fuels which are the very lifeblood of every First World economy in the name of a risibly phony climate “crisis”; to burdensome, prosperity-throttling overregulation; to a sprawling, meddlesome, Constitution-profaning central government; to rogue, out of control, and unaccountable federal agencies and agents; to in-your-face exhibitions of sexual dementia thrust upon bewildered five year olds in our public schools and libraries; to public school teachers, aides, principals, administrators, and boards of education who misperceive their mission as indoctrination instead of education, seduction rather than instruction, but who even so are such brave, transgressive Warriors for Justice they desperately try to hide the truth of what they’re up to from parents and dishonestly deny the whole thing when caught red-handed, like the slinking cowardly shitlibs they are; to rampant urban lawlessness overseen by a “justice” system so thoroughly corrupt and dysfunctional it can’t even begin to rein in the marauding thugs; to a power grid so decrepit, overstressed, and ill-maintained no knowledgeable person seriously expects it to hold together for very much longer—virtually ALL of our nation’s problems, issues, and failures can rightly be laid on a single doorstep. Which happens to be nailed to the front porch of the House Of Progressivism.

Democracy? NO

The senile fool Biden, in another of his characteristic rambling, incoherent speeches this week, repeatedly lauded “our democracy” as if that’s actually what this country is, the original system of government the Founders set up for their posterity. T’ain’t so, McGee; any poor sod with even the most niggardly dollop of historical literacy in his gift knows better than that. Eric Peters last year posted a collection of quotes condemning democracy in the most virulent terms from our blessed ancestors, which one of his handlers/wardens/keepers should consider reading to the stumblebum ***”president”*** sometime so as to enlighten his stupid ass. After the quotes, Eric provides some commentary of his own, interspersed with more historical context.

In light of the Founders’ view on the subject of republics and democracies, it is not surprising that the Constitution does not contain the word “democracy,” but does mandate: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a republican form of government.”

These principles were once widely understood. In the 19th century, many of the great leaders, both in America and abroad, stood in agreement with the Founding Fathers. John Marshall, chief justice of the Supreme Court from 1801 to 1835 echoed the sentiments of Fisher Ames. “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos,” he wrote. American poet James Russell Lowell warned that “democracy gives every man the right to be his own oppressor.” Lowell was joined in his disdain for democracy by Ralph Waldo Emerson, who remarked that “democracy becomes a government of bullies tempered by editors.” Across the Atlantic, British statesman Thomas Babington Macauly agreed with the Americans. “I have long been convinced,” he said, “that institutions purely democratic must, sooner or later, destroy liberty or civilization, or both.” Britons Benjamin Disraeli and Herbert Spencer would certainly agree with their countryman, Lord Acton, who wrote: “The one prevailing evil of democracy is the tyranny of the majority, or rather that party, not always the majority, that succeeds, by force or fraud, in carrying elections.”

By the 20th century, however, the falsehoods that democracy was the epitome of good government and that the Founding Fathers had established just such a government for the United States became increasingly widespread. This misinformation was fueled by President Woodrow Wilson’s famous 1916 appeal that our nation enter World War I “to make the world safe for democracy” — and by President Franklin Roosevelt’s 1940 exhortation that America “must be the great arsenal of democracy” by rushing to England’s aid during WWII.

Very few of us have probably thought it all the way through, but as it happens, this sudden drive to promote democracy over the true American ideal of government had a specific and most sinister purpose behind it.

On September 17 (Constitution Day), 1961, John Birch Society founder Robert Welch delivered an important speech, entitled “Republics and Democracies,” in which he proclaimed: “This is a Republic, not a Democracy. Let’s keep it that way!” The speech, which was later published and widely distributed in pamphlet form, amounted to a jolting wake-up call for many Americans. In his remarks, Welch not only presented the evidence to show that the Founding Fathers had established a republic and had condemned democracy, but he warned that the definitions had been distorted, and that powerful forces were at work to convert the American republic into a democracy, in order to bring about dictatorship.

Welch understood that democracy is not an end in itself but a means to an end. Eighteenth century historian Alexander Fraser Tytler, Lord Woodhouselee, it is thought, argued that, “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” And as British writer G.K. Chesterton put it in the 20th century: “You can never have a revolution in order to establish a democracy. You must have a democracy in order to have a revolution.”

The push for democracy has only been possible because the Constitution is being ignored, violated, and circumvented. The Constitution defines and limits the powers of the federal government. Those powers, all of which are enumerated, do not include agricultural subsidy programs, housing programs, education assistance programs, food stamps, etc. Under the Constitution, Congress is not authorized to pass any law it chooses; it is only authorized to pass laws that are constitutional. Anybody who doubts the intent of the Founders to restrict federal powers, and thereby protect the rights of the individual, should review the language in the Bill of Rights, including the opening phrase of the First Amendment (“Congress shall make no law…”).

As Welch explained in his 1961 speech:

…man has certain unalienable rights which do not derive from government at all…And those…rights cannot be abrogated by the vote of a majority any more than they can by the decree of a conqueror. The idea that the vote of a people, no matter how nearly unanimous, makes or creates or determines what is right or just becomes as absurd and unacceptable as the idea that right and justice are simply whatever a king says they are. Just as the early Greeks learned to try to have their rulers and themselves abide by the laws they had themselves established, so man has now been painfully learning that there are more permanent and lasting laws which cannot be changed by either sovereign kings or sovereign people, but which must be observed by both. And that government is merely a convenience, superimposed on Divine Commandments and on the natural laws that flow only from the Creator of man and man’s universe.

Such is the noble purpose of the constitutional republic we inherited from our Founding Fathers.

Amen. Can anyone be surprised that, as we have wandered ever deeper into the muck and mire of an artificially generated and wholly misguided infatuation with democracy, our national plight has steadily worsened in equal proportion? As I always say: The fault, dear Horatio, lies not in the principles of our Founders, but in ourselves. The farther we stray from the ideals and prescriptions of those great men, the more wretched the misery we create for ourselves becomes.

The Left is wearing Biden like a skin suit and will casually discard him when it’s done. That’s why the media is suddenly interested in that “Russian disinformation” about Hunter’s laptop.

Biden was dumb enough to think he had finally made it, when he was just the Left’s fall guy.

And while he may be incapable of paying attention to anything, his administration is cheering every price increase. The worse life gets for us, the closer the Left gets to its core agendas.

High gas prices aren’t “Putin’s price hike”, but they’re not even “Biden’s price hike”, they’re the “Left’s price hike”. Car and gas prices are meant to squeeze Americans out of car ownership. It’s such an unsubtle ploy that administration members will actually boast about it. And then they’ll urge Americans to buy $60,000 electric cars that they know people can’t afford.

The utterly blatant goal is to eliminate millions of cars by making it too expensive to drive.

And Democrats are working on this on multiple ends, from environmental and safety regulations, to raising gas prices, to artificial car shortages. Even those who can afford an electric car or get a government subsidized one will be kept off the road by high power rates.

Home prices? The Left has spent generations trying to kill the suburbs and the housing market. Much as it’s worked very hard to wipe out private sector medicine by using the stresses of the system against it. Making the private market for a good or service completely inaccessible for the vast majority of people paves the way for nationalizing it. The Left does not want people living in smaller communities. It has plainly said that everyone should have to live in cities.

Taking out the home and car markets are both means of limiting mobility and forcibly concentrating populations in dense urban clusters under their panopticons. These are the same strategies used by the Soviet Union and Communist China. And have the same intended end.

Food prices? The Left has been equally adamant that ordinary people must stop eating meat. Replacing traditional staples like bread and meat, milk and eggs, is another agenda item and was once again pursued through a combination of regulations, environmental, safety and animal rights measures, and more artificial shortages that are meant to transform the American diet.

You won’t be able to eat, drive or have a home to live in… and you will be told to be happy.

Or else.

This is not a conspiracy theory. The only assumption being made here is that the Left is achieving its stated goals as the result of a plan rather than a series of accidental coincidences.

Oh, don’t be unfairly hard on yourself there, Daniel; if it really IS no more than mere assumption, it’s nonetheless an assumption backed up by objective evidence which is beyond debate: all observable, experiential reality.

Too many Republicans are failing to hold the Left accountable by refusing to state what is going on. Hanlon’s Razor, “never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity” is fine when it’s not being applied to an ideology that is achieving its objectives through its actions.

That’s not a conspiracy theory, it’s policy.

Pasting Biden’s “I Did It” stickers on gas pumps is fine, but he’s completely expendable.

If Americans don’t understand that our misery isn’t an accident or incompetence, but part of a plan then the downward cycle will continue to play out with increasingly worse outcomes.

Until the Left finally gets what it wants. And then the rest of us won’t have anything left.

True enough, but redundant. Because at the end of the day, when all deception, subterfuge, and pretense has been stripped away, that IS what the Left wants.

I must admit that, as more and more of our top-tier Righty commentariat comes around to recognizing the true nature of the straits we’re in—ie, that none of these recent calamitous developments has befallen us due to accident, coincidence, or bad luck, but are all the direct and intentional result of enemy action—and taking public notice of it…well, frankly, I’m enjoying the hell out of it, and wish to offer all of them a hearty and sincere Welcome to the party, pal!

Messenger: shot dead

You say you want the truth? You can’t handle the truth.

Zac Kriegman had worked at Thomson Reuters for more than six years, most recently as a director of data scientists. Concerned with data and statistics, Kriegman and his team advised numerous other divisions within company.

But in 2020, Kriegman noticed changes within the company, with coworkers publishing numerous articles about “White Privilege” on the company’s internal collaboration platform. When the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots broke out that summer, the platform was filled with support for the organization without any question as to the narrative being told about race in America.

“This concerned me. I had been following the academic research on BLM for years (for example, here, here, here and here), and I had come to the conclusion that the claim upon which the whole movement rested—that police more readily shoot black people—was false,” Kriegman wrote in an article published on Bari Weiss’ substack. “ The data was unequivocal. It showed that, if anything, police were slightly less likely to use lethal force against black suspects than white ones.”

If I had, oh, the next six-seven days to spend on absolutely nothing else, not to mention the inclination to do any such thing, I’d dig through the Innarnuts and commend to everyone’s attention the eleventy million billion kajillion times myself and other Righty bloggers have howled precisely this into the void over the last several years, beginning well before the advent of BLM in my own case. If anybody was wondering why I usually refer to said criminal/terrorist syndicate as Black Lies Murder, well, there you have it.

Kriegman discovered that, based on a database of police shootings compiled by The Washington Post, police have fatally shot 39% more unarmed white people than black people in the past five years. BLM activists have insisted, however, that since there are six times as many white people in America as black people, police should be shooting 600% more. Anything less, Kriegman wrote, is evidence to the activists of police bias.

Kriegman suggested that such a comparison isn’t as accurate as comparing “Black suspects who pose a grave danger and white suspects who do the same,” but wrote that there isn’t reliable data for such a comparison. Instead, he used Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County Patrick Frey’s calculations based on FBI data that found “black Americans account for 37 percent of those who murder police officers, and 34 percent of the unarmed suspects killed by police. Meanwhile, whites make up 42.7 percent of cop killers and 42 percent of the unarmed suspects shot by police—meaning whites are killed by police at a 7 percent higher rate than blacks.”

Kriegman broadened the analysis to include armed suspects, finding that with those numbers included, whites are shot at a 70% higher rate than blacks. He then mentions the only study that looks at the rate at which police use lethal force across racial groups, conducted by Harvard economist Roland Fryer. Fryer, who is black, tried to prove BLM’s narrative in 2016, but ended up disproving it by finding that, while black Americans and Latinos may experience some amount of police force, they are slightly less likely to be shot by police than whites.

“Unfortunately, because the BLM narrative was now conventional wisdom, police departments, under intense scrutiny from left-wing politicians and activists, scaled back patrols in dangerous neighborhoods filled with vulnerable black residents. This led to soaring violence in many communities and thousands of needless deaths—otherwise known as the Ferguson Effect,” Kriegman wrote.

Bet you can’t guess what happens next. Don’t be shy, now; go on, give it a whirl. I double-dog dare ya.

Kriegman wrote that his post was removed when he stated his concerns and told that if he discussed the issue on internal company communications channels, he would be fired. Without a resolution, Kriegman emailed colleagues and company leadership discussing the attacks. The next day he was told by Human Resources that he no longer had access to his company computer or communications systems. Three days after that, he was fired.

Gee, are you guys as shocked as I am at this wholly unprecedented turn of events?

A decade ago, my experience at Thomson Reuters would have been unthinkable. Most Americans probably think it’s still unthinkable. That’s what makes it so dangerous. Most of us don’t understand how deeply compromised our news sources have become. Most of us have no idea that we are suffused with fictions and half-truths that sound sort of believable and are shielded from scrutiny by people whose job is to challenge them. This is true, above all, of my fellow liberals, who assume that only Republicans complain about the mainstream media. But this is not a partisan issue. This is a We The People issue,” he wrote.

Oh, it’s worse than you think, pal. Although it certainly SHOULD be a “We The People issue,” well, sorry, but…it ain’t. Your experience at Rooters, sad as it is, would by no means have so much as moved the needle slightly on the Shock-O-Meter ten, twenty, thirty, or even forty years ago, much less struck any of us RightwingNaziHitlerdemons as anything like “unthinkable.” The media has been what it is for quite a long time now; those of us who pay attention to such arcane matters have been aware of it for quite a long time also.

It’s to everyone’s detriment that it should be this way, but this very much IS a partisan issue—demonstrably so, in light of at least two (2) sobering realities: 1) Rooters, along with every other Establishment Media outlet in every medium and/or format, is heavily biased in favor of the Left, has by now completely lost whatever sense of shame they might once have felt (if any) over using their platform to support the Left’s nefarious agenda, and helpfully skews its “journalism” accordingly, and 2) “liberals” do not find this at all inappropriate and aren’t troubled in the least by it, leaving the “complain(ing) about the mainstream media” field as the exclusive province of the Right. Having chosen to abandon the perfectly honorable profession of honestly and impartially reporting the news in favor of a holy crusade to Change The World ain’t helping any.

I opened by saying Rooters “can’t handle the truth,” but that’s being much more charitable than they deserve; it’s not so much that they “can’t handle” the truth as it is that they just flat loathe it. As is true of the shitlibs they serve, truth is to Rooters as garlic is to vampires.
