The peasants are revolting!

Tax revolting, that is.

Fells Point businesses write letter to city demanding municipal services be restored
More than three dozen Fells Point business owners have sent a letter to Baltimore leadership including Mayor Brandon Scott, City Council President Nick Mosby, Councilman Zeke Cohen, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby and Police Commissioner Michael Harrison.

“What is happening in our front yard — the chaos and lawlessness that escalated this weekend into another night of tragic, unspeakable gun violence — has been going on for far too long,” a portion of the letter says.

The letter demands that city leaders restore “basic and essential municipal services” including trach pickup, enforcement of traffic and parking laws through tickets and towing, stopping illegal open-air alcohol and drug sales and empowerment of police to responsibly do their jobs.

The business owners threaten to withhold tax and permit payments, placing those funds into an escrow account, if the city doesn’t respond to their request.

in the past, I would usually say something snarky about who might have voted those same mayors, councilmen, and other civic “leaders” into office, especially in the Democrat-run urban shitholes. But after the shenanigans of the 2020 “election” there’s no way of knowing if ANY of these people, not just in Baltimo’ but all over the damned country, were actually voted in or not.

Update! Not really related, but apropos that last line above, kinda-sorta: People Fleeing Collapsing Economies of Blue States Advise Those Who Remain: ‘Start Making Better Decisions on Who You Vote For’. Always sound advice, which those to whom it most applies will almost certainly ignore, if recent history is any guide.

Marxist science

Groucho Marx, that is.

I’m a Doctor, but COVID’s Broken My Faith in Medical Research — I Can’t Believe Anything I Read or Accept Any Mainstream Facts
Those who decide to shut down and stifle debate – whatever they may believe themselves to be doing – are, in fact, traitors to the cause of science.

Those of us who put forward an alternative view to the prevailing orthodoxy on the virus or on vaccinations are being vilified, threatened and cancelled. This is not how science, or a functioning democracy, works.

The main purpose of science is to question and attack. To subject ideas to the greatest scrutiny. Those who decide to shut down and stifle debate – whatever they may believe themselves to be doing – are, in fact, traitors to the cause of science. Stranglers of the enlightenment, assassins of progress.

They are not alone, and things have gotten far worse in the past year or so. Science has taken a terrible battering during Covid-19, though I have always known that dissent against a widely held scientific hypothesis is difficult.

Just trying to get published is a nightmare. The peer-review system is one of the many weapons used against innovative thinking. ‘Let’s see what the current experts think of this new idea which threatens to overturn everything they have researched and taught over the last 30 years, and have built their reputations on… I wonder if they will like it and approve it?’

Expertise is great. ‘Experts’… well, that is a completely different matter. We certainly have a few formidable ones kicking about with Covid-19. In the UK, we have the great and good of the SAGE committee made up of – who knows? – and chosen for whatever reasons. They wield enormous power, and never disagree on anything. In the US, we have Fauci and the CDC. Ditto.

In the background we have the World Health Organisation (WHO)… who can tell you what way the wind is blowing if nothing else. They remind me of Groucho Marx’s famous comment. “These are my principles. And you if you don’t like them… I have others.” However, we at the WHO would like to make it clear that nothing about Covid-19 has anything to do with China, in any way. Can we have more money please?
Anyway, where are we with this virus, and with science?

In my opinion, Covid-19 succeeded in breaking my last vestiges of faith in medical scientific research. I cannot believe anything I read. I accept no mainstream facts or figures.

We are told such utter nonsense. For example, the ‘fact’ that vaccination protects against Covid-19 more effectively than having had the disease itself… This is just utter nonsense.

We were told that the virus was spread by touching contaminated surfaces… Really? We were told it spread through droplets, not aerosols. Which is the most complete garbage. We were told that everyone has to wear a mask. We were told it could easily be passed on by asymptomatic people. Based on nothing at all. I could go on.

No need to, really. Welcome to the party, pal.

Self-fulfilling prophecy

“We see you”? They don’t even seem to care anymore whether we do or not.

My own personal opinion has evolved—in a purely SCIENTIFICATIOUS!™ process, naturally—from Fauci should be fired, to Fauci should be prosecuted, to Fauci should be hung by the neck until he is dead, dead, DEAD.

Another look in

More on the outrageous and intolerable persecution-by-prosecution of an entirely blameless young man, Lucas Gerhard.

LSSU is something of an “aggie” college, with a large and respected criminal justice program. Still, as is the case for 99% of American colleges, it manages to have a “social justice and community activism” page as part of its campus life — although the link to that page is dead. One of LSSU’s leftist students, a young woman, frequently argued with Lucas, so much so that he blocked her on social media.

In the summer of 2019, Lucas bought himself an AR-15, which he brought to campus with him. At the time, he promptly followed school rules, checking his gun and ammunition in with the LSSU safety office. At around the same time, Lucas sent a private Snapchat joke to friends, showing a picture of his kitted-out rifle, with the message, “Takin’ this bad boy up, this outta [sic] make the snowflakes melt, aye?”  As if it wasn’t already clear that this was a joke, he added, “And I mean snowflakes as in snow.”

Two leftist students saw that image on a friend’s phone and took a picture of it. The young woman who fought with Lucas then used the Snapchat image to file a report with the police, claiming that Lucas was making threats.

When the police showed up, Lucas explained that he was just making a joke about people whose brains melted when they were faced with an opposing political ideology. Nevertheless, the police arrested him the next day and charged him with violating Michigan Penal Code §750.543, which governs making terrorist threats. Under the law, a person makes a terrorist threat if he “[t]hreatens to commit an act of terrorism and communicates the threat to any other person.” The penalty calls for up to twenty years in prison plus as much as $20,000 in fines.

During the pre-trial hearing, the prosecutor claimed that Lucas had multiple “contacts” with the law, which was a lie by omission. While campus leftists frequently tried to sic the police on Lucas, he was invariably found innocent of the charge against him. One example was when he wore his OCSO cadet uniform while carrying an authorized bag of police training gear to a lecture he was giving — another “threat.” There were no charges, nor were there charges when someone vandalized his car.

Even worse, during the pre-trial hearing, the prosecutor played a graphic video of the mosque shooting earlier that year in Christchurch, New Zealand. Faced with the prosecutor’s “evidence,” the court denied Lucas bond. Instead, he was sent to jail, where he spent 83 days, a problem for a Type I diabetic, before his father could bail him out. He’s been under complete house arrest ever since, with a $500/month tether and no access to education or the internet.

So why am I writing about this case? Because every conservative needs to understand that, while we’re still slack-jawed with disbelief and dismay about events in America in the last year, leftists at every level — the White House, Congress, statehouses, courts, prosecutors’ offices, colleges, and dormitories — are engaged in all-out war.

Bingo. Which only makes the very next sentence seem all the more odd. And, frankly, embarrassing.

If we are to avoid cultural, political, and constitutional defeat, we need to adopt their legal tactics: letter-writing campaigns, phone calls, non-violent protests…anything to raise the volume.

We most certainly do NOT, thenksveddymuch. The “justice” system is now just another wholly-owned subsidiary of Leftist Inc, having been co-opted and subsumed long ago, just as nearly every other important American organization and institution has. Appeals for justice made to offices and/or processes under complete Enemy control may make some of us feel better about their plight, if only for a brief spell. But such appeals—or entreaties, or supplication, to call things by their rightful names—won’t do a damned thing to halt a seemingly endless train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, that we all bear witness to each and every day.

Might as well ask the Tooth Fairy to flit in and save us while you’re down there on your knees begging. That’s about as likely to produce the desired outcome, and can’t be any more of a waste of time and effort.

Hunter becomes the hunted

Stay on his worthless ass like a bad rash.

Hunter Biden Runs Back Into His House and Slams the Door When Confronted by Journalist and Huge Digital Billboard
Although he has recently granted several softball interviews to friendly corporate media outlets as part of his tone-deaf rehabilitation book tour, Hunter Biden on Monday had no time for an independent journalist who had just a few simple questions to ask.

Hunter initially came down to answer the door when journalist and filmmaker Phelim McAleer showed up outside of his home in Venice, California, but as soon as he realized that McAleer was not a state-approved journalist, “he ran back inside his home and slammed the door,” according to McAleer’s website Unreported Stories.

To be fair, it’s possible that the giant mobile digital billboard McAleer brought with him spooked the scandal-plagued Biden back into his house.

The billboard displayed a rotating menu of pointed questions regarding Cracky McPedophile’s Burisma scam, the Big Guy, and other pertinent topics. After Hunter’s cowardly duck ‘n’ cover, the two intrepid journalists then cruised the rig around Hunter’s posh West LA ‘hood a while before heading over to the Santa Monica Pier for a spell.

The stunt was the work of married filmmaking team Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, who have made the Biden the subject of their latest project, “My son Hunter,” The Hunter Biden Movie.

McElhinney and McAleer were also behind the highly rated movie “Gosnell: The Trial Of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” and the “FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers” play that was based on the steamy texts of FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

Before that, the feisty Irish couple took on the global warming hoax with their documentary “Not Evil, Just Wrong.”

They are currently crowdfunding for their new film about Hunter Biden which they say will “expose the truth behind Hunter Biden’s business and corruption scandals and their direct connection to President Joe Biden.”

“Hunter Biden is terrified of the truth about the corruption being revealed,” explained McAleer. “That’s why he ran back in his house when he realized journalists were there to ask him serious questions. He’s used to easy questions from his Hollywood friends like Jimmy Kimmel, but when he’s faced with the serious allegations against him and his family – he runs scared. Hunter may not have answered us today but we will be back and we will have our questions answered.”

Good on ’em for their tenacity and all, but it’s a safe bet these two brave souls will be quietly “removed” by FBI goons long, long before a single one of those questions gets answered.

The Con con

Conservatism as commodity, bought and sold in the marketplace.

Every once in a while, a post or series of posts comes along that captures why conservatism never amounted to much. This post in the ironically named American Conservative is a good example of the genre. The topic is how to deal with the privatization of authoritarian power, primarily in Silicon Valley. The argument put forward is that using the state to tame these rogue companies is morally wrong, so we have to find some new way to contend with these out-of-control tech firms.

The first thing you should notice is the style is exactly what we get whenever the topic of immigration in on the table. The obvious answer is dismissed. In the case of immigration, that means shutting down the border and cracking down on employers who use helot labor. The open borders crowd always says that is impossible or harmful in some way. Instead, they offer a collection of overly complex solutions that have no chance of succeeding but will keep the punditry busy.

In the case of Big Tech, we have laws on the books to put an end to this reign of terror, but enforcing those is socialism, according to the usual suspects. We cannot have that, even if it would work. Instead, let us have a twenty-year series of international commissions to study technical standards and pass a bunch of laws that no one reads, but have cool names like “Data Portability Act”. In other words, the people who cannot build a wall along the border are going to fix the internet.

Interestingly, the rodents from Conservative Inc. always use the same trick the Left is so fond of using, which is the false dichotomy. “We can shut ourselves off from the world or embrace globalism” is how they frame trade. “We can become a hermit nation or remain a nation of immigrants” is how they frame immigration. Now it is “We can choose central planning or preserve an open internet” with Big Tech. It is the same partisan game the Left plays, just tailored for a middle-class white audience.

The fact is, enforcing Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act as intended puts a halt to the most egregious violations of our rights. Twitter can choose to be a publisher or an open platform. If it is the former, they can censure their platform however they like, but they are accountable for the content. If they choose to be an open platform like Gab, then they get the protection of Section 230. There is no need to reinvent the internet to solve the biggest problem with Big Tech.

Similarly, the obvious collusion that goes on with these big firms could be crushed with the use of existing law. There are plenty of examples of the tech companies colluding with one another to ban people from their platforms. If we can give a cop 20-years on civil rights violations for shooting a fleeing suspect, we can give the harpies of Silicon Valley a few years for violating the civil rights of Alex Jones. One lawsuit is all that would be required to end that practice and restore some sanity.

Of course, the author of the AC piece is clearly trying to strike the libertarian position, which is a blend of hiding under the bed and shilling for global capital. This is what is wrong with the libertarian-conservative commentariat. They are not interested in advocating conservative interests. Instead, they are focused on making sure their corporate donors are free of government interference. If that means the rights of conservatives are trampled, well “whoopsie!”

As with any swindle, if you can’t figure out who the mark is, it’s you. Z’s title brought to mind an old Mad cover:

Mad-TheBigCon.jpg

“The Big Con” is as on-point a description of modern “conservatism,” the NeverTrumpTard punditry, and the Vichy GOPe as you’ll ever find.

All part of a Plan, and the Plan is working as intended

Working very damned well, in fact.

There are a lot of unprecedented things happening, but not all of them are shocking. For example, it probably shouldn’t surprise you that, once they got their hands on real power, the same lunatics who don’t believe in human biology immediately made a serious mess of our economy. It took them less than six months to do it. First, they acted like the U.S. dollar had no value. They spent money like they’d just printed it for the occasion, which, needless to say, they had. Predictably, we wound up with frightening levels of inflation, which for the record they still deny exists. But inflation does exist, as you well know if you live here. Corn prices, to name just one example of a staple commodity that’s now out of control, have risen by 50 percent just since January. But that wasn’t bad enough. The lunatics decided to make it worse. They paid millions of Americans more than they make at work, to stay home and do nothing. To justify doing this, they used the word “COVID” quite a bit, but it had nothing to do with the pandemic. They just wanted to break the system. And so they did. And the rest of us immediately wound up with a bewildering combination of rising unemployment in the middle of a severe labor shortage. So, at the very same time, we found ourselves with too many workers, and also too few workers. That doesn’t even make sense, but thanks to their policies, that’s now exactly what we have. And then, finally, in case 2021 didn’t remind you enough of a grimmer version of the 1970s, we now have serious gas shortages, in a country that just recently was energy independent. All along the east coast of the country today, people couldn’t fill up their cars. The footage looks like Venezuela.

What is this about? Well, you know. On some level — let’s be honest about it — the White House approves of this disaster.

Yes, some gas stations are closed tonight. But soon enough, the lunatics plan to close them all — every gas station in the entire United States, shuttered forever, to make way for some new, as-yet-undefined means of transportation that will magically replace the gasoline engines we’ve used for more than 100 years. This is a green revolution. So who cares about some old pipeline?

Remember that on his first day in office, Joe Biden shut down a pipeline, that’s the first thing he did. It was the massive Keystone XL. Biden didn’t wait for mysterious hackers to shut it down. He shut it down himself. And more than 11,000 people lost their jobs. And, by the way, gas prices went up. In case you haven’t noticed, gas prices have never gone down.

Why? This is the result of policy decisions made by the new administration. This is the Green New Deal. We’ve got it already. And if you love gas shortages and electricity blackouts and $80 plywood, this is the program for you.

Typically, in the material world, where the laws of nature apply when the price of something jumps that quickly and that high, you’ve got a supply problem. Because it’s supply and demand. There isn’t enough of that thing to go around. Does that apply to lumber? Are there fewer spruce trees out there than there were a year ago? Are those trees growing more slowly than they once did? Have we seen a 280% in new houses being built? The answers: no, no and no. The answer, as you may have guessed, is that bad federal policies are distorting the price of everything in this country, from two by fours, to diesel fuel to corn dogs. None of this is an accident. Just as it wasn’t an accident when the power went out in Texas over the winter. It wasn’t a cold snap that did it, it was a federal policy that encouraged the state to rely on windmills that don’t actually work. So, it’s not a natural cycle. Somebody did this to us on purpose.

It’s “bad national policy” all right, but exclusively in the sense that it’s a policy that is bad for the nation. But there’s another sense to be taken into account: bad as it is, damaging as it is, it is also effective policy—because the bad things it’s doing, that damage, is the effect the policy was intended to produce.

Over time my reaction has evolved from amusement, to mild pique, to being outright annoyed when I see references to this or that putatively “failed” Democrat-Socialist policy, program, or initiative. The same blinkered narrative is applied to describe Marxism itself, which “fails every time it’s tried,” or so we’re endlessly told—as if the sole ambition of its advocates and administrators is to see to it that all are adequately fed, housed, and liberated from servitude and want. Bless their selfless, charitable hearts, Marxists just want to make sure that both the high and mighty and the downtrodden alike are fairly treated. That the State meets its obligation to ensure that avarice can never be wielded as a cudgel by one man in the bludgeoning of his brother. That all resources are equitably distributed.

Sorry, but…no. Whatever Karl Marx’s own notion might have been originally, Communism as we know it today is usually pretty danged good at achieving its true imperatives: untrammeled power and wealth for the ruthless few at the top of the heap, hopeless subjugation without mercy or surcease for the hapless serfs below.

The truth is that Communism, as well as the machinations of its Democrat-Socialist Party adherents, actually succeeds every time it’s tried. Understanding that is a matter of realizing what their ACTUAL goals and intentions are, and ignoring what they SAY they are—ie, “success” isn’t anything to do with uplifting, assisting, or liberating anybody, other than members of the Ruling Class kleptocracy—and then adjusting your own perceptions accordingly. Or, to adapt the famous words of another notorious latter-day Marxist, it all depends on what the meaning of “success” is. Once you’ve recalibrated your terms and definitions properly, it’s all perfectly obvious.

Pseudo Sickoscience

My brother has for a good while now been fond of supporting his contention that NOBODY is wrong about every single thing by laughingly citing the Moslems, with their foolproof method of keeping their women docile and in line. Little did he know that there’s another thing they had right: the US is indeed the Great Satan.

This next story is so sickening, so appalling, so absolutely horrifying, that I seriously pondered tucking it all below the fold, with a strong content advisory provided up here, so that weaker-stomached CF readers might more easily shine this one on and just skip to the next post. But no; this story should be prominently up top at any and every news outlet and/or blog. All Real American taxpayers must know just what kind of Satanic—literally Satanic—abuses the US government is getting up to with those dumptruck-loads of their hard-earned.

But I must warn you: brace yourselves. This is some extremely tough reading, for any decent human being whose heart hasn’t been reduced to blackened stone by now. I am not even kidding about this, people.

The most shocking story of the week.

Yeah, THAT’S gotta be the understatement of the fucking century…if not the millenia.

The left is scalping aborted babies to grow hair on rats.

And the project is being funded by Dr. Tony Fauci and the NIH.

At what point can we question their humanity?

Oh, I’d say we passed that point a while back. At this point, it’s no longer a matter of when we can; it’s now more a question of what the hell is wrong with us that we haven’t before now? The above link goes to Hoft’s brief follow-up to an earlier post, so let’s switch over to the original GP exposé for further gruesome details:

The University of Pittsburgh is growing scalps from aborted babies on lab rodents.

This is straight from a horror movie.

The scientists are using human baby fetal skin processed via removal of excess fat.

Jim links to a report from LifeNews.

A new video from the Center for Medical Progress exposes a gristly experiment at the University of Pittsburgh that involved scalping five-month aborted babies and implanting their scalps onto rodents.

Now, Pennsylvania leaders are demanding an investigation and urging the university to stop its experiments using aborted baby body parts.

“Publicly available information demonstrates that Pitt hosts some of the most barbaric experiments carried out on aborted human infants, including scalping 5-month-old aborted fetuses to stitch onto lab rats,” the Center for Medical Progress said in a statement.

On the other hand, this vitally importantly vital research could potentially end the heartache of male pattern baldness in our rodent friends forever, so I guess it’s justified. As if grafting baby scalps onto small vermin wasn’t gruesome enough, an open letter issued by the group behind Friday’s protest shows that it’s only the tip of the iceberg.

Student researchers have published experiments of scalps and “full thickness human skin” from aborted babies (18-20 weeks gestation) grafted onto lab rats. Human hair was grown on the backs of these rodents. Additionally, lymphoid tissue, livers and spleens from the same aborted babies were co-engrafted into the same rodent models.

This ghastly finding is a product of Pitt’s systemic practices of using aborted babies for inhumane research. Pitt has been involved in hundreds of fetal kidneys and other organs from aborted babies being distributed for research as part of a project funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH). Pitt has also had scientists harvesting fetal livers “in vivo” from fetuses delivered via labor induction.

Making matters worse is fetal experimentation at Pitt has involved staff employed by Pittsburgh area abortion businesses, Planned Parenthood Western PA and Allegheny Reproductive Health Center. This type of relationship is unacceptable.

Bold mine, and even more monstrous. Which is truly saying something.

In some especially toasty corner of Hell, Josef Mengele and Der Fuehrer can only shake their heads in rueful admiration—and probably more than a little envy—at what Herr Doktor Fauci has accomplished. With this nauseating atrocity, Herr Fauci has elevated himself from Lesser Demon status straight on up to being The Devil’s Right Hand Man in just one fell swoop. This is evil so profound, so repulsive in its ruthless, soulless savagery, as to put the US government not merely on an equal footing with cruel and inhuman dictactorships like the Soviet Union, the Third Reich, and Pol Pot’s Cambodia, but head and shoulders above (or below) them.

If this is science, may Almighty God protect us from it.

Anybody seeing a pattern here?

Mysteries, mysteries. As with the motivation of each successive Moslem terrorist, we’ll probably never really know for sure.

There is something very fishy about the new 2020 Census Bureau data determining which states picked up seats and which states lost seats.

Most all of the revisions to the original estimates have moved in one direction: Population gains were added to blue states, and population losses were subtracted from red states. The December revisions in population estimates under the Biden Census Bureau added some 2.5 million blue-state residents and subtracted more than 500,000 red-state residents. These population estimates determine how many electoral votes each state receives for presidential elections and the number of congressional seats in each state.

Is this a mere coincidence?

You don’t REALLY need an answer to that one, do you?

The original projections for the Census reapportionment had New York losing two seats, Rhode Island losing a seat and Illinois perhaps losing two seats. Instead, New York and Illinois only lost one seat, and Rhode Island lost no seats. Meanwhile, Texas was expected to gain three seats, Florida two seats and Arizona one seat. Instead, Texas gained only two seats, Florida only one and Arizona none.

Was the Census Bureau count rigged? Was it manipulated by the Biden team to hand more seats to the Democrats and to get more money — federal spending is often allocated based on population — for the blue states?

Yes. And, yes.

The evidence is now only circumstantial, but when errors or revisions are almost all only in one direction, the alarm bells appropriately go off.

There’s no longer any need for it. Any thinking person knows exactly what’s going on here; alarms, inquiries, and gentlemanly restraint are all superfluous at this point, if not out and out evasions. “Mistakes” that only ever cut one way aren’t mistakes at all—they’re part of a plan.

It’s high time for any starry-eyed but sincere conservative holdouts to admit the truth: they stole the election. This story is but the raising of the curtain on Act One in the theft of the next one.

Get your mind fully around reality, people: This isn’t surprising. It isn’t “unexpected.” This was INEVITABLE. The only even halfway arresting aspect here is how forthright, how open, they now are about displaying their contempt for us. I mean, come ON, MAN! The MO of this blatant manipulation of Census data to more securely nail down their hold on power isn’t clever, or creative, or even clandestine. This is basically a retard’s reboot of the tactics used in the 2020 election theft. And they no longer give a tinker’s damn whether we see them doing it or not.

These kleptocrats are so confident that they’re going to get away with it all over again—and again, and again, and again—is damned insulting, when you get right down to it.

Sorry, Pollyanna, but voting harderer at them just ain’t gonna do the trick anymore, I’m afraid.

Update! BCE lays down some “unbelievably valid” truth.

Too many people still huffing the Copeium and Hopeium
“The Recounts! The Recounts!”

So. fucking. what?

They already openly and with great satisfaction successfully stole the election

Do you -really think- that they’re going to go “Oh, our bad!” pack up and leave in any way shape or form?  Fuck no they ain’t.  It’s like that Saudi Air Force pilot I wrote about back in the day.  Dude panicked, and death gripped the plane into a death dive towards the ground… the American instructor tried to get control, and ended up pulling his .45 and putting it to Abdul’s head and telling him he was gonna waste him if he didn’t let go of the controls. The fucking unelected bureaucrats are firmly running the show now… They’re in the pilot’s seat, and ain’t no getting them out unless the guy in the other seat takes out his .45, and aces their brains alllll over the other side of the cockpit.

Eventually, we’re going to have to be that guy

So it would seem. Awful as that is, the only other option—surrender and servitude—is far worse.

“We Can’t Throw the Rascals Out”

TINVOWOOT: it’s not just a slogan anymore.

It has now been one hundred days since the Investiture of the Puppet, and the political junkies have moved out of the “honeymoon” phase and into the early run-up to the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential contest. Republican stalwarts are plotting strategy for retaking the House and/or Senate. The intertubes are abuzz with speculation about whether Trump will run again, or whom he might pick as his running mate, or whom he might endorse if he decides not to run. Pundits and punditesses are tracking and analyzing Joe Biden’s every mumbled utterance and Kamala Harris’ every raucous guffaw. Cartoonists and meme artists are in a frenzy of mockery, given that they have so much ludicrosity and buffoonery at hand to work with.

But, really, what’s the point?

To all appearances everything in the political world is business as usual. As if nothing out of the ordinary happened in the wee hours of November 4, 2020. As if millions of votes weren’t created out of thin air — call it “fiat voting” — by the party that runs the permanent government and operates in symbiosis with the media and Big Tech. As if the same scoundrels aren’t in control of how the votes will be counted next time. As if they aren’t plotting even greater control (see H.R. 1, the “For the People Act”).

Even Donald Trump seems to subscribe to the widespread illusion, and is looking forward to trying again in 2024. Doesn’t he realize why he lost to an unappealing apparatchik afflicted with senile dementia? Why does he think the result will be any different when he has to run against Kamala?

I enjoy reading the punditry of mainstream Republican partisans, who post witty and entertaining observations about all the bizarre political goings-on in Washington D.C., or on the Left Coast, or in the lofty empyrean of the ivory towers of Woke Academia. But I don’t confuse any of it with reality. The sound and fury of D.C. bears no more relation to real life than do The West Wing or The Simpsons. Paying attention to all that political theater is just a way of passing time until Ragnarøk finally arrives in full force.

I must admit, however, that I find it difficult to put aside my ingrained habits of thinking. Whenever some particularly grotesque Progressive policy is implemented by city, state, or federal lawmakers, my customary response is: “Well, those people got what they voted for.”

It’s hard to remember that they may not actually have voted for it. It’s quite possible, especially at the federal level, that key office-holders who shepherd the enactment of all this egregious wokeness were not the choice of a majority of voters in their particular constituencies. Democrats and RINOs have now perfected the process of controlling who gets elected.

He ain’t just whistling Dixie on that. I’ve been wondering a good bit about whether they really might have “voted for it” myself, what with the audacious skullduggery we’ve witnessed of late. In fact, we all might have cause to wonder. Exhibit A:

Are Free and Fair Elections in America Possible?
A disturbing look inside 42 Broadway.

What follows is detailed and factual account of crucial importance to all Americans regardless of political party affiliation, in understanding local, regional, and national elections and what has been corrupting our political election process.

Today, political candidates are blocked from even appearing on the ballot due to the nefarious machinations of political insiders.

This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue, but an American issue involving all political parties. It is about democratic participation in our political system. It is how potential candidates do not even reach the ballot box and are thwarted by entrenched political insiders in collusion with Board of Elections executives. Thus, the status quo is maintained. It is the undermining of the foundation of the democratic voting process that we the voters trust, which has been usurped by ten political “commissars” in a room.

The nefarious drama took place, as it always does, at 42 Broadway in Manhattan, in the bleak hearing room of the Board of Elections. In this room, the 31 Republican candidates knew their fate was already determined. This is the factual account of 31 Republican candidates, running for public and party offices in Queens, who were recently thrown off the ballot for meaningless technicalities, thereby denying 130,000 registered Republican voters in Queens County, NY a choice in the upcoming June 22nd Primary Election.

A former commissioner revealed some of the shocking details of the insider protection racket at the top tiers of the Board of Elections and party organizations. According to the former insider, the commissioners, general counsel, the party bosses all collaborate to pre-determine the approved candidates to get on the ballot and who they want to knock off. These private “horse-trading” sessions occur prior to the public commissioners hearings, which are carefully pre-scripted to make sure the insurgent candidates do not have ballot access in their party’s Primary Election.

This is how the story played out.

Trust me, you’re definitely gonna want to read all of this one. It’s staggering to consider the possibility that even as stout a bastion of liberalism as NYC might actually not be quite as stout as all that, like we’ve all been manipulated into assuming.

In conversation with friends and family recently I’ve stated my personal hope that, in the next presidential “election,” Real Americans express their disdain for the wholly fraudulent charade by staying home en masse. It won’t happen, of course, but I’d be pleased to see the next Housetrained Republican Inc™ offering get no more than, say, three or four thousand votes total. No, your protest non-vote won’t suffice to fix things, nor is it going to get us all out of this mess. If nothing else, though, the rotten, thieving backroom-blaggards in charge will at least be made aware that they’re no longer fooling anybody—that the game is at last up, and we’re neither willing to continue playing nor interested any longer in being played.

Voting is a tacit grant of legitimacy to an electoral system with no discernible trace of any. By our participation, the flimsy “consent of the governed” illusion is sustained and perpetuated. It’s time and well past time that Real Americans in massive numbers let it be known—loud, clear, and in no uncertain terms—that consent has been unequivocally revoked. Let The Power stew on that one while the rest of us go on planning, preparing, and battening down the hatches for whatever’s coming next.

“We’re really gonna show ’em in 2022/2024/2056/whenever”? Oh, PUH-LEEZE. Just shut the fuck up already with that tripe, willya? At this point, you’re just embarrassing yourselves. The American electoral system is irrepairably broken, beyond all hope of reform, not to be relied upon or trusted in. It has been for many years, perhaps longer than even someone as profoundly cynical as myself would believe. The one and only redeeming quality of our national “elections,” trifling though it is, resides in whatever entertainment they may still provide for the gullible, the mentally retarded, lonely old shut-ins, and/or the terminally bored. Serious, honest people must stop pretending it isn’t so. We can’t afford to. American elections are a joke…and that ain’t no laughing matter.

Update! Almost forgot to throw WRSA its due and proper “Via…” credit for the Bodissey link, as well as for the fine vintage Don Surber quote that’s going with a quickness into our Notable Quotes sidebar section. Thanks much, my brother.

GOP must GO

Burn. It. DOWN. First, this happened.

According to a document that has surfaced, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene is forming an “America First Caucus”.

From the document:

The America First Caucus (AFC) exists to promote Congressional policies that are to the long-term benefit of the American nation. The North Star of any policy proposal will be that which serves the American people, and any consequential analysis of policy platforms must be based on this first principle.

Here are the main political issues the caucus will focus on:

Election Fraud, Sovereignty, Big Tech, Immigration, Infrastructure, Foreign Aid, National Security, Trade, Environment, Energy, Protecting the Value of American Savings, America First Education, The Chinese Communist Party

A spokesperson for Marjorie Taylor Greene confirmed to CNN that the group is real and is being formed. The spokesperson also pointed out that someone leaked the draft for the caucus to the press.

Trump Ally Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) took to Twitter to announce he was “proud” to join the America First Caucus.

As well he ought to be. It certainly sounds perfectly reasonable to me, although my belief that we’re well past the point where elections can be of any use remains unchanged. Still, I wish only the best to Greene and her fellow patriots; at least they’re trying, and I could always be wrong about the chances of any political effort amounting to anything much. But if you know your Republicans, then you know that just name of this nascent caucus was enough to raise some hackles.

It only took a few hours for RINO favorite Adam Kinzinger to weigh in on the idea.

Kinzinger wants anyone who supports this idea to be removed from their committee assignments.

The Hill reported:

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) blasted fellow GOP lawmakers who plan to join the “America First Caucus,” saying anyone who becomes a member should lose their committee assignments.

Kinzinger, a vocal critic of former President Trump, tore into the caucus after it was reported that GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Ga.) and Paul Gosar (Ariz.) would lead formation of the group.

The caucus calls for promoting “Anglo-Saxon political traditions,” and several House Republicans came out Friday to criticize the group and its policy platform.

Because of COURSE they did. I can’t help but wonder once more what it might be about the idea of making America great again or putting America first these Deep State carbuncles, Democan and Republicrat alike, find so offensive.

“I believe anyone that joins this caucus should have their committees stripped, and the Republican conference should expel them from conference participation,” Kinzinger tweeted.

“While we can’t prevent someone from calling themselves Republican, we can loudly say they don’t belong to us,” he added.

I certainly hope you do, Quizlinger—speaking for myself, I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to think I was associated in any way, shape, or form with you and your collaborationist Party. Once again, Vichy GOPers can be counted on to fight back against Real Americans a lot harder than they ever will Obama, Pelosi, or any of their other Deep State partners in crime. As it is written, so it shall be done.

(CNN)Conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is scrapping the planned launch of her “America First” caucus after receiving blowback from leaders in her own party, despite confirming through a spokesperson on Friday that the caucus would launch.

Nick Dyer, Greene’s spokesperson, told CNN in an email on Saturday afternoon the Georgia Republican is not “launching anything.”

“The Congresswoman wants to make clear that she is not launching anything. This was an early planning proposal and nothing was agreed to or approved,” he said in an email to CNN, referring to a flier promoting the caucus, obtained by Punchbowl News, that used inflammatory rhetoric.

Wow, THAT didn’t take long. Evidently, Republicans can damned sure get things done when it’s something that really matters to them, eh? The “inflammatory rhetoric” was the line citing “Anglo-Saxon political traditions,” which I agree is just horribly horribly awful, a racist hate-crime for which the guy who suggested it should be put to death. And with that, here we all are.

Some Republicans wanted to start an “America First” caucus. Then the Republican leadership shut them down. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy tweeted this in response:

The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln & the party of more opportunity for all Americans—not nativist dog whistles.

SO. Anybody still believe the Ballot Box can save us? Because one thing is becoming painfully obvious:

With that tweet, Americans are on official notice: Our elected officials are no longer interested in representing the people of this nation. There is no longer a political or diplomatic solution to be found to avoid what is coming.

Nope. Myself, I’m beginning to wonder if there ever really was.

Questions, questions

James asks one which is incorrectly constructed due to his use of the wrong tense.

Will America Survive Joe Biden?

Wrong choice of protagonist as well, I see. Here’s a better version, corrected for phrasing, tense, and nomenclature: Did America survive Barrack Obama? The answer is all too obvious at this late stage of the game, alas, so I see no need to further belabor the point.

Nevertheless, Kunstler has a larger point to make here, involving not only the extravagantly sordid and venal Biden famiglia felonosa but the entire execrable FUSAn political system of which they’re such pluperfect representatives. Although it’s neither new nor surprising, it remains a point worth revisiting.

If you want to understand the complete failure of moral authority in America, seek no further than the gothic doings of the Biden family, especially now that the President’s degenerate son, Hunter, has been rewarded with a $2-million advance-against royalties (i.e., money up-front) from Simon & Schuster, and a gala publicity tour of the national news media designed to conceal his criminal culpability in evidence contained on the “laptop from hell” that he stupidly abandoned in a Delaware repair shop while lurching through his daily doings on one of countless drug jags he’s enjoyed between rehabs since his dad stepped back into national politics.

The failure is shared by a national news media that refuses to scrutinize the obvious financial crimes documented on the laptop, the FBI, which sat on the laptop through the months of Trump Impeachment No. One — while the computer contained evidence of Hunter’s grifting and money-laundering directly benefiting “the Big Guy,” Joe Biden, at issue in the impeachment — and the Department of Justice, which has been sitting on its hands pretending to conduct an investigation into all this.

The moral darkness of the family is beyond Shakespearean. It ranges from fantastically sordid personal indecencies like Hunter posting drug-fueled selfie sex videos with whores on the PornHub website, to intimations of lewd consort with his teenage niece, to the admitted fact of him bird-dogging his dead brother’s wife, Hallie… and into financial misdeeds that suggest Hunter sold out his country by peddling Joe Biden’s favor to agents of the Chinese communist party and other foreign nations. This body of unresolved allegations haunts the House of Biden like some stinking dead animal decaying under the Oval Office floorboards that everyone pretends not to notice.

The gross failure of federal authority, and abuse of authority, in this land is an ongoing process. You can date it back to wherever you like — say, to all the confusion and deception around the JFK assassination, or even further — but it had never been so broad, so deep, and so blatant as when Donald Trump became a candidate and all the resources of the CIA, DOJ, and the FBI were marshaled against him in the phony operations that became RussiaGate. Now, under Joe Biden, the system is entirely poisoned and corrupt.

Hunter is supposedly under investigation by the DOJ for tax fraud. Is that all? Are they not curious at all about the imputation of Chinese influence over decision-making in Joe Biden’s White House? Apparently, China paid for the influence it now enjoys. Millions of ordinary American citizens have seen the actual record, screen-captured from Hunter’s laptop, of email correspondence that details the many deals and payments made by Chinese companies run by the CCP to Hunter’s various shell corporations, as well as the memos between Hunter and his partners breaking down the payment schedule among Biden family members, including “the Big Guy.”

Is there not some larger — very large — question as to how this Manchurian Candidate with failing mental capacities, seemingly run by other figures in the shadows, came to be installed at the head of our government? The USA will not survive as a nation unless we seek to find out.

It appears less and less likely that the FUSA as currently constituted will survive whether we do or we don’t. Either way, the question is past its sell-by date, as is the mouldering mess of a nation it refers to. A far more cogent question now is whether it should survive—and whether Real Americans ought to hope that it does, or instead try to do whatever they can to help speed the process of collapse along.

RINOs gotta RINO

Another example of the system functioning exactly as intended. Which is another reason why the system has gotta go.

Arkansas Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson defended his decision to veto legislation that would have made his state the first to ban gender-confirming treatments or surgery for transgender youth in a fiery exchange with Fox News host Tucker Carlson Tuesday.

“The Tucker Carlson Tonight” host explained to viewers that the bill nearly passed with Hutchinson’s support until the governor rejected the legislation that would have prohibited doctors from providing gender-confirming hormone treatment, puberty blockers or surgery to anyone under 18 years old, or from referring them to other providers for the treatment.

Hutchinson accused Carlson of misrepresenting the bill, explaining: “If this had been a bill that simply prohibited chemical castration, I would have signed the bill.”

Instead, he said, the bill presented to him was “was overbroad, it was extreme. It went far beyond what you just said.

“This is the first law in the nation that invokes the state between medical decisions, parents who consent to that and the decision of the patient. And so, this goes way too far. And in fact, it doesn’t even have a grandfather clause that those young people that are under hormonal treatment,” he argued.

When Carlson questioned whether Hutchinson was in contact with corporate interests in the state of Arkansas about the bill, the governor replied forcefully, “I answered that question and I said, no, I have not. Do you have another question?”

Ace takes a Viking broadaxe to that outrageous lie.

Shaw notes that Hutchinson is “term-limited” and therefore politics are not a reason for this.

No, but the fact that he’ll be needing a new high-paying job next year very much holds a clue to his behavior.

For anyone who’s a governor, the only possible future career paths are the presidency, the academy, or, of course, serving on the boards of corporations.

Sure, mere Congressmen can become sleazy lobbyists, but that’s too low-rent for a former governor.

Hutchinson has never been discussed as a potential president and has no entree into academia. Particularly now that the academy has purged all non-Marxists. Certainly you can’t be a Republican serving in a university’s administration.

That leaves the Corporate Parachute for Asa.

Now, you’re not going to believe this wild coincidence, but one of the largest retailers in human history, Walmart, just happens to have its headquarters in Arkansas, and, you’re definitely not going to believe this next coincindence, Tom Walton, an heir to the Walmart fortune, has very strong — oddly strong! — opinions on the gender of children.

Could there possibly be some connection here? Certainly Tucker Carlson seems exceptionally skeptical — he says as much — when Hutchinson claims he was not contacted by any corporate interests, not a single one, on this issue. Including, specifically, Walmart.

And yet Hutchinson knows Tom Walmart and Tom Walmart is extremely interested in children’s putative right to participate in genital cosplay.

The Ruling Class, like the Ruling Class all throughout history, is extraordinarily focused on the sexual liberation of children.

And as was almost surely the case with Kristi Noem — the word was passed to Hutchinson that his future corporate career could be derailed in a hurry if he didn’t play ball with the trans lobby.

Whether the word is being passed by a corporate donor himself — doubtful — or, more likely, one of his lobbyists or lawyers, the word is being passed. Big money if you veto this bill, no job prospects if you don’t.

This is a system of direct bribery of high public officials by megacorporations and it must be stopped.

It most certainly is, and every Normal American must shoulder a share of the blame for ever allowing such a system to develop, take root, and flower in the first place; its very existence amounts to a stark admonishment, and a disgrace. Backup for the shitlib spawn of Sam Walton’s open endorsement of child mutilation in the name of the Left’s bizarre obsession with the “transgender” subterfuge, for anybody who might need it:

Statement on Recent Arkansas Policy
“We are alarmed by the string of policy targeting LGBTQ people in Arkansas. This trend is harmful and sends the wrong message to those willing to invest in or visit our state. We support Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s recent veto of discriminatory policy and implore government, business and community leaders to consider the impact of existing and future policy that limits basic freedoms and does not promote inclusiveness in our communities and economy.

Our nation was built on inalienable rights and strengthened by individual differences. Arkansas has been called the land of opportunity because it is a place where anyone can think big and achieve the extraordinary. Any policy that limits individual opportunity also limits our state’s potential.”

– Tom Walton, Home Region Program Committee Chair – Walton Family Foundation

I started to fisk my way through that patent horseshit line by line but then decided, why bother? It would be a waste of wear and tear on my crippled old typing fingers: the statement’s blibbering absurdity is as transparent as the agenda driving it, for all who have eyes to see. And the people who will approve of it aren’t susceptible to persuasion by appeals to logic or simple human decency anyway.

Tom Walton’s extreme wealth places him beyond all reach, as he well knows, providing a highly effective shield against consequences for his advocacy of pure, unleavened evil. Not so much with Hutchinson, who should be hounded and harrassed without mercy or surcease from this day onward. On his very first walk through the doors to his opulent Wal Mart sinecure right on up to his last, he should find himself forced to run a gauntlet of angry protestors shouting epithets and calumny at his retreating backside. That still isn’t punishment enough to suit me, but the despicable scoundrel will certainly receive the eternal reward for all such self-serving treachery in good time.

UNEXPECTED update! Boy, the wheels sure came off THAT cart mighty fast.

During an appearance with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night, Arkansas Republican governor Asa Hutchinson vociferously denied that he had been in contact with corporate interests in his state about the “Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act” which bans transition surgery, as well as hormones and puberty blockers, for Arkansas minors.

“I answered that question and I said, ‘no, I have not.’ Do you have another question?” Hutchinson told Carlson, who admitted he was “skeptical” of the denial. The interview came one day after Hutchinson vetoed the bill…

But in the fallout from those bills, and in the buildup to the SAFE Act, Hutchinson admitted in a March 31 appearance on Fox News that “some major global corporations here in Arkansas” are “certainly worried about the image of our state.”

While it remains unclear whether the Walton family personally lobbied Hutchinson on the bill — neither Hutchinson’s office nor the WFF returned requests for comment — the two have ties. Per FEC records, the Waltons are longtime financial supporters of Hutchinson’s political career, as is Walmart. Sam Walton’s brother, Steuart Walton, is a current board member at Walmart and was tapped by Hutchinson last April to chair the state’s “Economic Recovery Task Force.”

Ace sinks the putt:

How did Hutchinson know there was corporate worry about the image of Arkansas about these bills if no one from any corporate interests contacted him about them?

The idea that Tom Walton has such passionate feelings about the sexual autonomy of children, and yet wouldn’t call up his family’s pet governor to make these Frenchian passions known, is too absurd to credit as possible.

He’s lying. He told corporate interests that he would triangulate on these bills by signing two of them but vetoing the third.

They’re all fucking liars and it’s time to turn them out into the streets.

A half-decent start, maybe, but far too lenient by itself. There are several other corrective actions available for consideration. Y’know, while we’re all out in the street and all.

Mike WHO?

Now ain’t this rich.

Reports are that former Vice President Mike Pence is “laying the groundwork for [a] 2024 Presidential Run.”

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

But the only groundwork Pence should be laying is for his retirement. His surrender to the Democratic Party in the final days of the Trump presidency disqualifies him. Pence may very well be a “good man,” but he’s also a weak man and America’s future depends on men who are both principled and strong.

And most especially on principled men who are strong enough to honestly confront the fact that there’s no longer any hope to be found in elections. But now we come to the part I found interesting.

The contested election of 2020 was not unprecedented. In fact, it bears a striking similarity to the contested election of 1876. The Democratic Party in 1876 was comprised of ex-confederates, who had lost the Civil War, but had not lost their pro-slavery opinions. A Democratic victory foreshadowed a regressive future that Southern blacks feared would return them to slavery and Republicans feared would guarantee a proliferation of white supremacy. The fate of the nation hung in the balance.

The fate of our nation hung in the balance in a similar way in 2020. A Democratic victory foreshadowed a regressive future in our time, which has come to fruition because of the Biden Administration. In only three months’ time we have seen an unprecedented assault on our Constitution—our country is less safe, our border is less secure, our future prosperity is less certain, and our unalienable rights are methodically stripped away.

Republicans in 1876 were as concerned about rampant Democratic Party election fraud as we were in 2020. Rutherford B. Hayes, the Republican Presidential candidate 144 years ago, predicted that his defeat would be “by crime—by bribery, & repeating [voters]” in the North and by “violence and intimidation” in the South. Trump likewise predicted that the 2020 election  “will be, in my opinion, the most corrupt election in the history of our country.” Both Hayes and Trump were right. I won’t rehash every instance of Democratic voter fraud in 2020—it would be redundant for this audience and also would fill a binder as thick as the Democrats’ latest pork-ulus bill.

There are two stark differences between the contested election of 1876 and the contested election of 2020. One, unlike Hayes, who went to sleep on election night certain of defeat, Trump went to bed certain of victory. Two, unlike the congressional Republicans in 1876, who refused to concede and fought tooth and nail to prevent the Democrats from installing their illegitimate presidential candidate Samuel Tilden in the Oval Office, the Congressional Republicans in 2020 folded like cheap lawn chairs.

Read on for more fascinating stuff. The contrast between the actual statesmen we were still blessed with back then and the contemptible curs we’re plagued by now couldn’t be more striking—or appalling. This is the kind of true American history they just don’t teach in school anymore, and that ain’t no accident, either.

Yeah, naaaaah

I’ve said before that I respect her as one of a miniscule number of relatively sane Democrats, maybe even admire her courageous and honest willingness to push back against the more wild-eyed and bizarre Demonrat proposals. She’s a liberal all right, but she’s also one of a nearly extinct breed that, despite mulishly clinging to many ridiculous and unworkable collectivist ideals, nonetheless remains intellectually supple enough to be at least marginally responsive to archaic and forsaken concepts such as common sense, real-world practicality, and respectful tolerance for dissenting opinion. Practically alone among her Party peers, Gabbard’s integrity and love of country has never been in question, or not that I know of anyway. All in all, I stand behind my assessment of her. For a liberal and a Demonrat, Tulsi is more or less all right with me.

But still.

The political realignment spurred by President Donald Trump’s rise as the undeniable leader of the Republican Party is only just beginning, and it may result in the emergence of a surprising superstar: former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii.

Gabbard first gained national attention as a supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders, (I-Vt.) who refused to participate in a corrupt DNC process that disenfranchised the far-left presidential candidate. Her stand made her a reviled figure among establishment Democrats, who hated her even more when she refused to buy into anti-Russia hysteria and opposed U.S. bombing campaigns in Syria. Her refreshing candor has resulted in an unexpected cult following on the pro-Trump Right.

While Gabbard’s economic policies vary considerably from the Republican orthodoxy, she brings a much-needed breath of fresh air on civil liberties and American foreign intervention. These are issues that appeal to young people, who are the prime demographic for the meat grinder of war and who often find themselves punished by the state for nonviolently enjoying their lives. Gabbard is an asset whose point of view should not be rejected out of hand in Trump’s GOP. Making the Republican Party into a true MAGA coalition will require the building of bridges and the rejection of failed approaches tried in the past.

Gabbard is a politician that the Republican Party needs to rebuild its shattered credibility among the masses. She has built a brand as a maverick who will say what she believes is right on the issues, no matter the political consequences.

Gabbard would also alienate all of the worst actors still festering within the Republican Party. The annoying free marketeers, who gave the cold shoulder to Trump for his economic nationalism, would naturally be up in arms over Gabbard’s lack of reverence for the sacred deity of gross domestic product. The remnants of the neoconservative war party, including former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and Representative Liz Cheney of Wyoming, would be the most triggered, and their anguish alone would be worth letting the Gabbardites into the fold.

Could be, could be. The idea of wooing Tulsi in an attempt at persuading her to cross the partisan Rubicon is certainly audacious, bold, and unconventional—attributes I usually respond to positively, whatever the context. To me, they’re features, not bugs.

But no rebellious Maverick needs to wax all ebullient over this prospect. Sadly, the author slams head-on into a familiar obstacle discussed here numerous times: he’s made the killing mistake of accepting the false premise that tinkering, fine-tuning, or fiddling around under the Uniparty hood is still a useful, worthwhile project. Sorry, son, but it ain’t. The American system is dead as a dodo, with the up-front-fraudulent 2020 election as its death certificate, and there is no hope of reanimating the carcass. She was murdered a-purpose; mourn her loss, fine, but don’t kid yourself: she ain’t coming back. Intellectual pud-pulling to insipid fantasies of “retaking Congress in 2024” and all the other feverish wet-dreams whose climax revolves entirely around attaining a fair victory in an honestly-conducted election is worse than a waste of time.

Speculatively blibbering on about just how the treacherous GOPe could be reformed is a mug’s game, nothing more. At this point it’s tiresome, pathetic—a pointless distraction that will hurt far more than it will ever help. The facts are in; it’s time we all grew up and faced them squarely in an adult fashion.

A few dabs of touch-up paint will never suffice to restore the gloss to the rotted, corruption-stained husk of “American democracy.” To properly bring a lasting shine back up on this tattered, battered old bucket o’ bolts will mean more than some el-cheapo patch-job. She’s gonna need a complete body-off-frame restoration. If properly and meticulously done, by someone who knows how and is passionate about his craft, the results are a thing of beauty, damned close to miraculous. But it’s a long, time-eating process. And you just better believe it ain’t cheap.
