Time to wise up, don’tchathink?

Time, and past time, I think. Even somebody as smart, perceptive, and plainspoken as JJ Sefton is not above a stumble now and then, as my boldface below points up:

Once again, in spite of all of these truths I still see the same types of posts from pundits warning of the exact same things we are all well aware of and yet at the end give us this kind of statement:

We’re in a battle between freedom and a new dark age of socialist intolerance, racism, and fascism — and the implications are global. Either we stand tall, or we go into that cold, dark night. Our decisions regarding this betrayal and treason will shape America for a decade or more. Either we use every constitutional tool to push back against the Democrats’ callous abuse or we succumb.

Emphasis mine, because with all due respect to the author, RUFKM? We’re going to play by rules which the other side not only never does but now never needs to because the game, the stadium and the entire league has been wiped out?! Please. Let’s stop pretending. The thugs and terrorist goons of Antifa and BLM are already assaulting us in the streets while the crooked cops, DAs and judges are throwing us into political prisons just for daring to show up in public. But, that said, I think it’s crucial to still show up and vote, not so much being confident that Dao-Min Yen can’t steal the election, but that in the likely event that that happens it will just underscore the fact that America is no more and that we are being held hostage, in many ways just like the hundreds or thousands of Americans left behind in Afghanistan.

Oh, it will underscore it right enough—just as it has been underscored fifty bazillion goddamned times already. So how much “underscoring” will be enough before we all finally admit the truth—put simply, Box #2 has clearly failed us just as all but Number Four have, thus can no longer be of any use—and take effective action, regardless of how drastic or unappealing a one is required, based on that knowledge? Will there EVER be enough “underscoring” to rouse us from our passivity and torpor and inspire us to make these rotten bastards pay the price for their outrageous and multitudinous crimes?

Justice will not be served until Joe Biden, the fools at the Pentagon, DOD, Foggy Bottom, every agency and every bureaucracy in DC, the entire Democrat Party and anyone and everyone who conspired and still conspires with them are removed from power and prevented from holding any elective or appointed office. In point of fact, justice will not be served until he and a great many of the aforementioned are dangling from the gallows.

We cannot have a Constitution and we cannot have an America where any group has the ability to use those freedoms to enslave us. It took a little over 100 years but that is exactly what happened. Sorry to disappoint Ben Franklin and the Founders but we cannot keep a republic because human nature being what it is, a will to power by the forces of darkness and evil, just will not allow it. If we survive this period of darkness and defeat not only at the hands of our homegrown backstabbers but now from the very real threat of global Chinese imperialism and an Islamic caliphate along with them, then the Constitution will indeed be ‘wholly insufficient’ with which to rebuild.

I do hate to look as if I’m jumping all over JJ here; I have tremendous respect for him, and always enjoy his posts. Thankfully, after the above-noted momentary swerve into the “Vote HARDERER!™” ditch, he righted himself and got back on track again with those closing ‘graphs. But I declare, if I see one more of Our Guys (and Sefton surely is that) so much as bring up American “elections” again as if they still mattered as anything other than pure theater, I may just start rending my garments, tearing out what hair I have left, and swallowing my tongue over it.

Creepshow

If you aren’t quaking in your boots and hiding under the bed in terror of the THE DELTA VARIANTZOMG!!!, no problem. They’ll keep coming up with others until they come up with one you ARE scared absolutely stupid by.

MOUNTAIN VIEW (KPIX) — As the Delta variant of the coronavirus fuels an ongoing COVID wave, Bay Area health experts are keeping a close eye on yet another variant: Delta Plus.

“We believe that it’s at least as bad as Delta,” said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist at the University of California San Francisco.

“Having additional variants is going to be expected with any virus,” said Dr. Yvonne Maldonado, professor of Global Health & Infectious Diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine. “The fact there’s a Delta plus doesn’t mean this is going to be any better or worse. At this point, we just don’t know.”

Both doctors expect more mutations will continue to arise until vaccination rates increase.

“Delta-plus is not the end of the story. Until more of us get vaccinated we’re going to have these reports of weird other Greek letters and combinations of Greek letters — we might even run out of the Greek alphabet,” Dr. Chin-Hong said.

Oh, I think that’s probably a pretty safe bet myself. But please, Doctor, I beg you: can’t you give people here in the Home of the Brave some kind of hope, however frail and fleeting? Isn’t there SOMETHING we might do in this disease-ravaged, corpse-cluttered land to save at least a handful of us from dying horribly because of the dreaded Yellow Doom?

“What we can do is get vaccinated and keep ourselves from getting infected. That’s how we stop these viruses from mutating,” Dr. Maldonado said.

Well, shit. Guess I’m a dead man then.

Leggo my…ummm…

Lego? SRSLY?

A mere thirty-six hours after I interviewed Julie Kelly and Mollie Hemingway about the Lego Insurrection, the United States Government filed a “supplemental memorandum” with the Court:

In the original detention memoranda, the undersigned stated that law enforcement found a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set.” Please note that after a review of the photographs from the search, there appears to have been a miscommunication and that statement appears to be inaccurate. The Lego set was in a box and not fully constructed at the time of the search, as pictured below.

Judging from the picture below, “not fully constructed” is a characteristically DoJ evasion for “not constructed at all”. See for yourself: as we do with Mann vs Steyn and Katz vs Steyn, at SteynOnline we like to post the original court documents.

“The undersigned” is Assistant US Attorney Melissa Jackson. Inventing eye-catching “evidence” that catches the fancy of the world’s media would be a big no-no if you did it, but it appears to be standard operating procedure at the Department of “Justice”. And, oddly enough, all the news outlets that reported on the horror of the smoking Lego gun of the Lego Capitol have failed to correct their breathless reports about the “fully constructed” building.

The United States has more corrupt prosecutors than the rest of the “free world” combined: whether you’re talking about Cosby and Epstein or the FISA court, what would be a disqualifying “lack of candor to the tribunal” in most Common Law systems is just the way these guys do business.

Mr Morss’ latest bail hearing is tomorrow: There is no reason for him to be behind bars for another seven months. Which is the prosecutors’ earliest estimate of a trial date – although, of course, in the end there will be no trial: The point of gaoling someone for over a year supposedly to await his constitutionally guaranteed speedy trial is that it’s much easier to lean on him to “settle”. There’s a reason the DoJ wins 97 per cent of its cases without trial.

This is an evil and indefensible system. To those rock-ribbed conservative talk-show hosts insisting that they know all the good patriotic men and women at the FBI and it’s just a few bad apples at the top, I ask again: Where is there a single G-man who has objected to the Bureau’s degeneration into enforcers for the Deep State? Browbeating George Papadopoulos’ wife into losing her baby. Abusing Roger Stone’s elderly wife. Stringing along with the #BLM fake noose. And now faking headline bollocks out of a Lego set. Every FBI agent has gone along with all of the above.

It would be nice if some of those so-called Republican legislators demanded some accountability from federal “justice”, wouldn’t it?

Ah, but they’re waiting for the Durham Report! Durham will get ’em, wait and see! Any day now!

Oh, you just go ahead and snark away, smart guy. You’ll be talking out the other side of your mouth after we retake Congress in ’22, then re-elect Trump (again) in ’24.

Hey, it could happen. In another country, on another planet, in another galaxy, in another dimensional interstice. You betcher!

DOOOOOMED!!!

Everybody got their last will and testaments current and their life insurance paid up?

Top experts have likened the COVID-19 “Delta Variant” to the common cold and hay fever. This comes as people like Anthony Fauci, Boris Johnson, and the WHO are pushing for more social distancing, lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccinations.

Experts in the United Kingdom have compared the symptoms of the COVID-19 “Delta Variant” to that of hay fever and the common cold, according to various reports. The new strain has reportedly been the cause of 99% of all new COVID-19 cases in the UK. “The main symptoms of COVID-19 appear to have changed — with headaches and sore throats now more common than fevers and coughs, according to a warning by UK experts,” noted the New York Post.

Dr. Fauci continues to assert that “the Delta variant is currently the greatest threat in the US to our attempt to eliminate COVID-19,” which reportedly has accounted for 20% of all new COVID-19 cases in the United States. Fauci maintains that COVID-19 vaccines can protect people from the “Delta Variant,” adding that young, unvaccinated people are “more vulnerable than ever.”

However, many Americans are skeptical about the COVID-19 vaccinations they’ve received amid reports of the “Delta Variant” infecting individuals after they’ve been fully vaccinated. As was reported by the Wall Street Journal, “About half of adults infected in an outbreak of the Delta variant of Covid-19 in Israel were fully inoculated with the Pfizer Inc. vaccine, prompting the government to reimpose an indoor mask requirement and other measures to contain the highly transmissible strain.”

On May 13, Joe Biden told America to “get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do,” prompting hundreds of millions of Americans to eventually receive their COVID-19 vaccines.

I will not comply, and you and your grubby little bureau-stooges can all go fuck yourselves. Preferably, with something razor sharp, rusty, and very, very girthy.

Another thing they need to get through their heads

They weren’t “tricked.” They were cooperative. Not “played”—playing along. As active, willing participants, not hapless victims, whether of their own naive stupidity, the wily Democrats, or anything else.

Republicans Got Played By Joe Biden and There Needs to Be a Reckoning

Sorry, but as long as you refuse to open your eyes to the actual state of play there will NEVER be a reckoning of any real consequence, and you’ll go right on being the one who’s getting played.

It’s difficult to get played by a senile old man whose brain has the consistency of pudding, but somehow, Republicans managed that feat today. Failure theater is back, and it’s reaching new heights.

As RedState reported earlier, Biden announced an agreement on a bipartisan infrastructure deal, complete with a grinning Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski standing beside him. Following that dog and pony show, the president then proceeded to demonstrate the finer points of existing with cognitive decline. Regardless, according to the Republicans on the negotiating team, this was supposed to be a great victory and show of unity.

Of course, then reality smacked them in the face. Biden, within an hour, let it be known that he would not sign the bipartisan agreement unless he was given everything else he wants in a reconciliation package that would naturally be passed along party lines.

Oh, and speaking of Fraudster Mitt.

Tell ya what, pal, why don’t you hold your breath waiting for the “****President****” you helped put in office to do anything of the sort. Although in this case, he/his puppeteers happen to be doing the right thing, if only by sheer dumb luck.

But back to our original topic. As you would no doubt be entirely unsurprised to learn, Ms Lindsey Graham is enraged by this UNEXPECTED!™ show-betrayal.

Key GOP senators balk at terms of Biden infrastructure bill
WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure deal was thrown in doubt Friday as Republican senators felt “blindsided” by his insistence that it must move in tandem with his bigger package, while the White House doubled down on the strategy and said it should have come as no surprise.

The rare accord over some $1 trillion in investments faced new uncertainty barely 24 hours after Biden strode to the White House driveway, flanked by 10 senators from a bipartisan group, with all sides beaming over the compromise.

Senators were described as “stunned,” “floored” and “frustrated” after Biden publicly put the conditions on accepting their deal, according to two people familiar with the private conversations who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the reactions.

“No deal by extortion!” tweeted Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Friday.

Next: Ms Graham vows the appointment of a “blue-ribbon panel” to thoroughly “investigate” this outrageous and dishonorable bait ‘n’ switch, which he vows on the grave of his mama he will “get to the bottom” of. Y’know, for Duh Peepul. Ace, being a more sensible sort, ain’t having any.

The fake anger now is a crucial part of the Failure Theater script– pretend to oppose the socialist agenda, somehow get “tricked” and “beaten,” and then run ads telling your gullible voters that now you’re spittin’ mad and if Republicans just send one hundred more dollars, now you’ll start fighting those treacherous Dems!

Special award to Lindsey Graham for cooperating with the Democrats, again, and now again being “blindsided” and “livid” about the obvious, inevitable betrayal.

Fuck you, you degenerate liars.

We went broke doing WHAT again, now?!?

Yet another of my not-quite-famous “shocking, yet unsurprising both at once” moments.

There are many great movies on the drug trade, but my personal favorite is Blow. The film stars Johnny Depp as George Jung (aka Boston George), a real-life drug smuggler who was sentenced to 70 years in prison in 1994.

Like most drug movies, Blow depicts the highs of the drug trade—parties, mansions, and rooms full of cash—as well as the lows: addiction, paranoia, and a loss of control. One thing that made Blow so good is it showed the incredible demand for drugs.

Whether they are dealing pot or cocaine, George and his partners can’t keep up with the huge demand no matter how much supply they get.

I bring up Blow in light of news that California’s legislature approved a $100-million plan to boost California’s struggling legal marijuana industry.

As the Los Angeles Times reports, the industry is in serious trouble. The growth of licensed cannabis shops has been dismal and far below state projections. Just 1,086 retail and delivery firms have been permitted to date—about 82 percent lower than the 6,000 cannabis shops the government anticipated.

How is this possible?

Three guesses. First two don’t etc. You guys know the drill.

Well, shortly after California legalized pot in 2016, lawmakers began burdening the industry with so many regulations—particularly myriad compliance orders associated with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)—that businesses are drowning under paperwork, fees, and delays.

“Many cannabis growers, retailers and manufacturers have struggled to make the transition from a provisional, temporary license to a permanent one renewed on an annual basis — a process that requires a costly, complicated and time-consuming review of the negative environmental effects involved in a business and a plan for reducing those harms,” the Times reports.

So let’s review then, shall we? Government at every level is so fucking inept, so fucking incompetent, and so fucking hopelessly retarded that it can find a way to lose its collective ass…even in the fucking drug-slinger game.

Feel free to take a minute or two to let all that soak in, people.

This, mind, while enjoying the otherwise-unavailable benefit of being able to make its own rules and regulations for how said drug-slinging must be conducted. The deck is decidedly stacked in government’s favor, but the flailing lackwits STILL can’t make a go of it. Oh, and lest anybody think this is merely a California thang? Don’t. Just…don’t.

The Ontario government lost $42M selling cannabis in the last year

And there you have it.

To recap once more, so as to drive the point on home: the goddamned goobermint, at all levels, can’t keep from losing scads upon scads of money in a business so effortlessly lucrative that…well, as Chris Rock says in Bring The Pain:

The drug dealers don’t really sell drugs. The drug dealers…OFFER drugs! I’m thirty years old, ain’t nobody ever sold me drugs. Nobody has ever sold nobody in this room some drugs! You ever in your life not thinking about getting high and somebody sold you some fucking drugs? Hell, no! The drug dealers offer: “Hey man, you want some smoke, you want some smoke?” You say “No”, that’s it! Now, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, on the other hand…Shit!

No, man, drug dealers don’t sell drugs. Drugs sell themselves. Crack is not an encyclopedia, not a fucking vacuum cleaner! You know, you don’t really gotta try to sell crack, OK? I never heard a crack dealer go, “Man, how am I gonna get rid of all this crack? It’s just pilin’ up in my house!”

And some way, somehow, we see it’s just another damned thing government can’t get right.

The Con con

Conservatism as commodity, bought and sold in the marketplace.

Every once in a while, a post or series of posts comes along that captures why conservatism never amounted to much. This post in the ironically named American Conservative is a good example of the genre. The topic is how to deal with the privatization of authoritarian power, primarily in Silicon Valley. The argument put forward is that using the state to tame these rogue companies is morally wrong, so we have to find some new way to contend with these out-of-control tech firms.

The first thing you should notice is the style is exactly what we get whenever the topic of immigration in on the table. The obvious answer is dismissed. In the case of immigration, that means shutting down the border and cracking down on employers who use helot labor. The open borders crowd always says that is impossible or harmful in some way. Instead, they offer a collection of overly complex solutions that have no chance of succeeding but will keep the punditry busy.

In the case of Big Tech, we have laws on the books to put an end to this reign of terror, but enforcing those is socialism, according to the usual suspects. We cannot have that, even if it would work. Instead, let us have a twenty-year series of international commissions to study technical standards and pass a bunch of laws that no one reads, but have cool names like “Data Portability Act”. In other words, the people who cannot build a wall along the border are going to fix the internet.

Interestingly, the rodents from Conservative Inc. always use the same trick the Left is so fond of using, which is the false dichotomy. “We can shut ourselves off from the world or embrace globalism” is how they frame trade. “We can become a hermit nation or remain a nation of immigrants” is how they frame immigration. Now it is “We can choose central planning or preserve an open internet” with Big Tech. It is the same partisan game the Left plays, just tailored for a middle-class white audience.

The fact is, enforcing Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act as intended puts a halt to the most egregious violations of our rights. Twitter can choose to be a publisher or an open platform. If it is the former, they can censure their platform however they like, but they are accountable for the content. If they choose to be an open platform like Gab, then they get the protection of Section 230. There is no need to reinvent the internet to solve the biggest problem with Big Tech.

Similarly, the obvious collusion that goes on with these big firms could be crushed with the use of existing law. There are plenty of examples of the tech companies colluding with one another to ban people from their platforms. If we can give a cop 20-years on civil rights violations for shooting a fleeing suspect, we can give the harpies of Silicon Valley a few years for violating the civil rights of Alex Jones. One lawsuit is all that would be required to end that practice and restore some sanity.

Of course, the author of the AC piece is clearly trying to strike the libertarian position, which is a blend of hiding under the bed and shilling for global capital. This is what is wrong with the libertarian-conservative commentariat. They are not interested in advocating conservative interests. Instead, they are focused on making sure their corporate donors are free of government interference. If that means the rights of conservatives are trampled, well “whoopsie!”

As with any swindle, if you can’t figure out who the mark is, it’s you. Z’s title brought to mind an old Mad cover:

Mad-TheBigCon.jpg

“The Big Con” is as on-point a description of modern “conservatism,” the NeverTrumpTard punditry, and the Vichy GOPe as you’ll ever find.

Blowhard, bloviating

Looks like we’re well and truly back to business as usual.

McConnell warns of GOP retribution if Democrats eliminate filibuster

OOOOOH, GOPe retribution!!! Bet Yertle McTurtle left his esteemed colleagues across the aisle Swamp rat co-conspirators shaking in their boots with that one!

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) again warned Democrats on Tuesday that eliminating the legislative filibuster would “break the Senate” and turn the chamber into a “100-car pileup” where chaos reigns.

Democrats are under increasing pressure from progressives to set aside the filibuster for issues of exceptional importance, such as voting rights legislation that would counter the wave of voting restrictions being passed by Republicans at the state level.

So I can assume there’s no need for me to mention that the above is coming from a shitlib outlet, right?

The filibuster, which makes most legislation in the Senate subject to a 60-vote threshold, is meant to protect the interests of the minority. But it has increasingly led to deadlock and turned the Senate into a legislative graveyard for bills passed by the House.

In other words, pretty much as it was originally intended to function, then. Hold on though, folks, we’re getting to the really funny part now.

McConnell warned on the Senate floor Tuesday that if Democrats eliminate the filibuster and Republicans take back the majority, “we wouldn’t just erase every liberal change that hurt the country — we’d strengthen America with all kinds of conservative policies with zero, zero input from the other side.”

Umm, s’cuse me for asking, Your Fraudulence, Sir, but if you believe those liberal changes are hurting the country—which, of course they are—would you very much mind explaining exactly why you didn’t erase them back when you had a Senate majority, you treacherous, double-dealing shitweasel? After that, perhaps you could tell us how it is that you and your fellow Congresscrawlers don’t seem to consider “strengthening America” to be part of your goddamned job description. As for moving ahead with (dare I say it) the America First agenda without asking for “input from the other side,” that would be no more than operating exactly as your Demonrat bosses usually do, so what’s the problem there?

He promised that a Republican majority would immediately defund Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities, push abortion restrictions, ramp up security on the southern border and more.

Riiiiiiight. Somebody please wake me when etc etc

“Nobody serving in this chamber can even begin, can even begin to imagine what a completely scorched-earth Senate would look like,” the Republican leader warned.

And that’s really too bad. In fact, the fairy tald that we have a true two-party system, rather than our dismal Uniparty reality, is one of the main reasons why we’re in this mess to begin with. As I already noted, the Demonrats have never hesitated to scorch as much earth as they thought they could get away with over the years—thanks to the solid assurance provided by the flaccid, flabby Vichy GOPe’s Opposition Theater subterfuge—that they had no cause for concern about ever being treated as roughly as they did their yappy little lapdogs like Mitch the Bitch. Ace ain’t having any of that rot.

Yes, Bitch, I’m sure the Democrats are plenty afraid of your impotent, insincere threats.

Unfortunately, the stupid half of the GOP base will believe this latest performance of Failure Theater, and agree that Bitch McConnell sure did do his very best to stop the ending of the filibuster, but that mean Charles Schumer just tricked him again.

Fuck you, Bitch.

Indeed.

Looks like I need to rethink my rejection of the term “the Stupid Party” as a lame excuse for why the Vichy GOPe always talks such a great fight before sagging to the canvas in a swoon before the first punch has been thrown. Clearly, there really IS a Stupid element here after all. Not the grubby politicians, but the mouthbreathing rank-and-file who are still happily taken in by the whole swindle, gassing on as they do about how things will improve once power is regained in 2022, 2024, 2078, or someday, via Voting Harderer!™ at the Enemy. When they aren’t braying about the hopeless futility of any stab at establishing a legitimate opposition-party alternative—a doomcast that neatly sidesteps the GOP’s own damned history, that is.

Meh. The Repugnican Party can’t auger in soon enough to suit me. I will assuredly NOT miss ’em when they’re gone.

T’was ever thus

An oldie but evergreenie that just ain’t ever gonna grow old or stale. Unfortunate though that is.

It may be inferred again that the present movement for women’s rights will certainly prevail from the history of its only opponent: Northern conservatism. This is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader…Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth, and has no idea of being guilty of the folly of martyrdom. It always when about to enter a protest very blandly informs the wild beast whose path it essays to stop, that its “bark is worse than its bite,” and that it only means to save its manners by enacting its decent role of resistance: The only practical purpose which it now serves in American politics is to give enough exercise to Radicalism to keep it “in wind,” and to prevent its becoming pursy and lazy, from having nothing to whip. No doubt, after a few years, when women’s suffrage shall have become an accomplished fact, conservatism will tacitly admit it into its creed, and thenceforward plume itself upon its wise firmness in opposing with similar weapons the extreme of baby suffrage; and when that too shall have been won, it will be heard declaring that the integrity of the American Constitution requires at least the refusal of suffrage to asses. There it will assume, with great dignity, its final position.

Bold mine. Any resemblance to the fraudulent, gassy posturing of present-day Housebroken Conservatives, Vichy GOPers, NeverTrump Pétainistas, and other members of the Kabuki Opposition Collective is wholly infuriating; the above was penned in 1897 (!), but could just as easily have been written day before yesterday. Mark 14.7’s famous admonition regarding the poor also applies to double-dealing American professional politicians: these ye shall always have with you. Despite their grotesquely inflated estimation of their own indispensability; their insight; and the selfless generosity of their contribution to society, what they actually are is an affliction, a foul curse under which all are emburdened, impoverished, and immiserated.

Mistakes were made

Derbyshire’s verdict on Trump’s presidency: Epic. FAIL.

What’s the verdict on that Presidency? My view: it has to be failure.

It’s not that Trump did nothing in those four years. He accomplished a great deal. The evangelist group Liberty Counsel has published a list covering fourteen pages. It’s naturally tilted towards evangelistic concerns, and is too heavy on neoconnery for my taste—”Restoring American Leadership Abroad,” etc.—but there are some real useful actions in there.

The problem with those fourteen pages of Trump’s accomplishments is that hardly any of them had permanence. All the ones you’d stand up and cheer for were Executive Orders, that can be—and are being—revoked with a sweep of the pen by the new Chief Executive.

Biden, of course, has the advantage here that nothing he does will be contested by the Kritarchs of our woke federal judiciary. Trump had only to pick up his pen in the Oval Office for some swivel-eyed federal judge in Hawaii or somewhere to pick up his pen and declare Trump’s action unconstitutional just by virtue of it’s being … Trump’s.

That doesn’t let Trump altogether off the hook, though. To make changes you need laws, supplemented by the firm exercise of lawful federal powers.

In those areas Trump was hopeless. His party controlled Congress for two years, but the only law anyone remembers getting passed was a mild tax cut.

I give Trump a pass on that; his own party proved to be a real viper’s nest of slithering, double-dealing belly-crawlers, which could maybe cramp a guy’s style just a wee mite.

As well as just not getting much done in any permanent way, Trump failed to tackle the Swamp in any way that seriously inconvenienced them.

If we are ever again to have Trumpism in the White House, it will need a cadre of Trumpists who know their way around, who are adept at the necessary political games. The last four years were an ideal opportunity to train up that cadre: to bring Trumpists in to the federal government at high levels so they could develop their skills.

But Trump didn’t attempt anything like that. The people he brought in were Swamp critters like Kirstjen Nielsen and—God help us!—John Bolton. He supplemented their advice with soft murmurings from his daughter and son-in-law and their friends, metropolitan liberals all.

Now THAT, I cannot dispute. It’s beyond comprehension: after having made much throughout the campaign of his intention to hire only “the best people” to work in his government, he then…did nothing of the sort. The complete opposite, in fact. Again and again, Trump put Obama stay-behinds, Deep State saboteurs, and out-and-out diehard enemies on his team. Even worse, after having been flamboyantly betrayed by them, he left this wrecking crew in place to double down on the damage.

Think of it: he waited until his last few days in office to finally fire skulkabout CIA head Gina Haspel on his way out the White House door. Nefarious Swamp Thing Chris Wray—who flouted ethics, propriety, and even the law to brazenly defy an explicit directive to declassify documents that would almost certainly have been of tremendous help months ago, when Trump ordered it—remains in his well-feathered nest atop the FBI, and will be carrying the torch of systemic corruption and malfeasance to light the way for Pretend pResident Bai-Ding. Instead of getting his incompetent ass 86’d for cause months and months ago as he should have, “Doctor” FrankenFauci is headed for a cozy new sinecure with his WHO co-conspirators. The blithering boob didn’t get the boot; he got a promotion.

There’s a disgustingly long list of traitors, weasels, and snakes-in-the-grass who will still be in Mordor on the Potomac, depositing those obscenely-bloated FederalGovCo paychecks long after Trump himself has been deposited into a Federal penitentiary for the duration. He could have legitimately shown every last one of the conniving assholes the door. He had the authority; he had the right; he had not A reason, but reasonS, plural. A whacking great boatload of ’em. Hell, he said he would do it, explicitly and repeatedly. Promised he would.

Yet, inexplicably, he stayed his hand. Why?

We aren’t talking about mere mistakes here; they were far more than just questionable decisions. Not just a minor misstep here and there, the harsh lesson absorbed, leaving Trump a wiser, better leader for the education. They were grotesque demonstrations of seriously poor judgment bordering on pathologically self-destructive acts, a pattern of foolish consistency entirely outside the reach of logical explication.

Unfortunately, these aren’t the kind of mistakes that one can easily avoid paying a price for having made. They’re extremely costly. Whatever the reason for it, Trump has put himself and his family on the hook for a YUUUGE bill. And the collection agency is widely known for being absolutely ruthless, uncompromising, and impatient.

Can’t stop the steal!

The 5,593 page budget-busting bill was posted online Monday afternoon, only hours before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said a vote would be held.

For some countries, Christmas came early:

  • $169,739,000 to Vietnam, including $19 million to remediate dioxins (page 1476).
  • Unspecified funds to “continue support for not-for-profit institutions of higher education in Kabul, Afghanistan that are accessible to both women and men in a coeducational environment” (page 1477).
  • $198,323,000 to Bangladesh, including $23.5 million to support Burmese refugees and $23.3 million for “democracy programs” (page 1485).
  • $130,265,000 to Nepal for “development and democracy programs” (page 1485).
  • Pakistan: $15 million for “democracy programs” and $10 million for “gender programs” (page 1486).
  • Sri Lanka: Up to $15 million “for the refurbishing of a high endurance cutter,” which is a type of patrol boat (page 1489).
  • $505,925,000 to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama to “address key factors that contribute to the migration of unaccompanied, undocumented minors to the United States” (pages 1490-1491).
  • $461,375,000 to Colombia for programs related to counternarcotics and human rights (pages 1494-1496).
  • $74.8 million to the “Caribbean Basin Security Initiative” (page 1498).
  • $33 million “for democracy programs for Venezuela” (page 1498).
  • Unspecified amount to Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Curacao, and Trinidad and Tobago “for assistance for communities in countries supporting or otherwise impacted by refugees from Venezuela” (page 1499).
  • $132,025,000 “for assistance for Georgia” (page 1499).
  • $453 million “for assistance for Ukraine” (page 1500).

Incredibly, there’s more yet—TONS more.

No less incredibly, I still occasionally see some folks out there braying about how “desperate” the Enemy is, how obvious it is that he’s “frightened” or “worried” about this or that or the other thing, that he’s “on the ropes,” at the end of the line, just about to collapse into a pile of despair and ruin. Judging by this supreme expression of sheer contempt, though, I’d say it looks a lot more like they’re just rubbing our noses in it at this point—openly laughing in our faces, cocking their snook, and daring Real Americans to do a damned thing about it.

Real Americans should definitely oblige them, I believe.

Thanks for all the fish

Don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya, sez I.

President Trump announced via Twitter that following a meeting to discuss the current state of 2020 election fraud with Attorney General Bill Barr, the U.S. AG will be departing his position before Christmas.

Barr’s resignation letter is…well, see for yourself.

Dear Mr President,
I appreciate the opportunity to update you this afternoon on the Department’s review of voter fraud allegations in the 2020 election and how these allegations will continue to be pursued. At a time when the country is so deeply divided, it is incumbent on all levels of government, and all agencies acting within their purview, to do all we can to assure the integrity of elections and promote public confidence in their outcome.

I am greatly honoured that you called on me to serve your administration and the American people once again as Attorney General. I am proud to have played a role in the many successes and unprecedented achievements you have delivered for the American people. Your 2016 victory speech in which you reached out to your opponents and called for working together for the benefit of the American people was immediately met by a partisan onslaught against you in which no tactic, no matter how abusive and deceitful, was out of bounds. The nadir of this campaign was the effort to cripple, if not oust, your administration with frenzied and baseless accusations of collusion with Russia.

Few could have weathered these attacks, much less forge ahead with a positive program for the country. You built the strongest and most resilient economy in American history – one that has brought unprecedented progress to those previously left out. You have restored American military strength. By brokering historic peace deals in the Mideast you have achieved what most thought impossible. You have curbed illegal immigration and enhanced the security of our nation’s borders. You have advanced the rule of law by appointing a record number of judges committed to constitutional principles. With Operation Warp Speed, you delivered a vaccine for coronavirus on a schedule no one thought conceivable – a feat that will undoubtedly save millions of lives.

Downright effusive in his praise for Trump. Unexpected? Or perfectly in character? Barr has a knack for saying all the right things, and being quite eloquent in doing so, too. Whatever he may actually be—dithering, ineffectual-but-honest-in-the-main pedant or conniving Deep State malefactor—after years of tail-chasing “investigation” with no significant results in sight, it’s time for him to go.

Preview of coming attractions

What to look forward to from Gropey’s illegitimate ruling junta.

With this new government, most people will have very little control over their lives. Those at the top of government will have a lot of power and will probably take a lot of perverse pleasure in it. State legislators in what will become the minority party are not at the top of government and will have no more power than the rest of us.

So, no different than now, then.

What kind of changes will we have to endure? We will wear masks forever. There will always be a medical crisis mandating them.

Again: nothing new there.

There will be a war on combustion.

That’s poorly phrased; the war will be on internal combustion engines. There’ll be plenty of combustion out there, as BLM/PantiFa/et al burn White Suburbia to the ground.

We will be forced to drive electric cars or no car at all. Barack Obama began this effort in 2009 with his “cash for clunkers” program.

Don’t try to tell me you didn’t see THAT coming.

Thanks to new regulations, we will pay much higher prices for technology and medical care.

Already are, thanks.

We will have medical death panels. It is already starting.

We’ve had “death panels” since 2009, actually.

The first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be health care workers and nursing home residents. So far, the choice is palatable, but who will be the next one to be deemed worthy of survival? I assume that I will be dead last (pun intended).

I assure you I won’t be taking it at all—not ever, no matter what—so you needn’t worry about tripping over me to get it. “Survival”? Your concern is duly noted, but what with the Red Death’s less-than-intimidating IFR, I’ll tend to my own knitting there, thanks.

The war on combustion means there will be no fossil fuel to heat our homes. We will have to use heat pumps exclusively. Heat pumps require refrigerant. There is already a high price for refrigerant because of previous regulations. Expect the price to go higher. All of this will lead to rationing of electricity. There will be either rolling blackouts or central control of the thermostat. The latter already occurs in some people’s homes.

I’ll take “central control of the thermostat” for a thousand, Alex.

Government monitoring of our telephone calls and internet use will continue.

What, you really thought any of that was going away?

All guns will be confiscated.

They will certainly try. Jury is almost but not quite out on getting it done, though.

The state legislators will not be exempt from this horror.

Wanna bet?

I call upon all Republican state legislators in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to reject the 2020 presidential elections in their states as inconclusive and vote in their own slate of electors. Make democracy great again.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for it, ‘kay? As has already been too-adequately demonstrated, the Repukes are part of the whole swindle, just another cog in the dirty machine.

Yeah, no

It’s crucially, vitally important that we all vote Republican no matter what, see, even if we have to hold our nose and gag on a suppurating boil like Mitt Romney.

Because, umm, see, if we don’t, then, uhh, all sorts of awful…that is to say, the Demonrats could conceivably…if they take back the Senate, they might…umm…uhhh…

Know what? SCREW these treacherous backstabbers.

Senator David Perdue trashed President Trump in a video interview today WITH THE WASHINGTON POST, the day before President Trump is taking time off to go campaign for this jerk in Georgia.

Perdue has DONE NOTHING to address the MASSIVE voter fraud in Georgia.

He quickly threw President Trump under the bus after senile Joe Biden stole the election.

And now he’s on camera TRASHING TRUMP?

What an idiot.

It doesn’t count for much since I don’t live in Georgia, I guess. But if I did, I’d cheerfully gargle a five-gallon bucket of diarrhea before I’d even CONSIDER voting for a dung beetle like Perdue. Sorry if that makes anybody out there all fretful and upset, but with “friends” like this, who needs enemies? I’m with Bracken:

These RINOs must not be allowed to believe in this lock-step GOP robot voter outcome in Georgia, or they will stick a shiv in Trump’s back. In this, I agree with Lin Wood and Sidney Powell.

The cowardly RINOs have to be so afraid of losing EVERYTHING, that they come out and defend the integrity of the presidential election NOW.

If they don’t, then FUCK THEM…and let’s just get straight onto the civil war.

If Loeffler and Perdue don’t come out with Trump on Saturday at the GA rally, that’s my signal: fuck the RINO back stabbers, and let’s get onto an honest CW, face to face with honest enemies.

“Friend,” I hate the Mitts and Jebs hiding their knives behind me more than I hate the AOC’s and Schumers in front of me, looking at me with honest hatred right in my face.

They’re all turds floating in the same bowl as far as I’m concerned. And every last one of them needs to be flushed away for good; it ain’t healthy for the dying Republic to keep them hanging around and stinking up the joint like this.
