Get up, stand up

I will not comply, Joe, and you can go fuck yourself.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Joe Biden Wednesday afternoon, telling him his unsecure border policies have “facilitated” the spread of COVID-19 in the United States, and until the border is secure, he doesn’t want to “hear a blip about COVID” from him.

Biden on Tuesday singled out the Republican governors of Florida and Texas over their handling of COVID, and told them to “get out of the way” if they’re not willing to help.

In response, DeSantis told Biden he would be happy to stand (in) his way to protect the rights of Floridians.

“This is a guy who ran for president saying he was going to—quote—shut down the virus,” DeSantis said during a news conference in Panama City. “What has he done? He’s imported more virus from around the world by having a wide open southern border. You have hundreds of thousands of people pouring across every month.”

The governor pointed out that illegal aliens are coming across the border not only from Mexico, but from over one hundred countries around the world.

“Not only are they letting them through, but their farming them out all across our communities across this country,” he said. “You think they’re worried about COVID?” he scoffed. “Of course not.”

DeSantis added that whatever new variants have developed in countries around the world, “they’re coming across that southern border. So he’s not shutting down the virus, he’s helping to facilitate it in our country.”

The Florida governor also blasted the Biden regime for wanting to force young school children to wear masks, and for recommending that parents wear masks at home around their own children.

“This is insane,” he said.

DeSantis also hit Biden for supporting vaccine passports.

“We said from the beginning in Florida, we’re going to make it available for all, but we’re not going to mandate it on anybody,” he said.

“His [Biden’s] vision is—just like in New York City—restaurants should ban young kids from being able to go in because they’re not eligible for vaccination, and law-abiding citizens have to produce proof of their medical records just to go to the gym, or attend an event, or just to participate in everyday society,” DeSantis continued. “He wants that, but if you want to vote, he thinks it’s too much of a burden to show a picture I.D. when you’re voting. So no voting I.D., but you have to show your medical papers to participate in everyday life? Give me a break!”

Go get ’em, Gov. Happily, despite how rara an avis they’ve come to be, we have another stellar example of a true statesman as opposed to a mere politician. Ladies and germs, I give you the Right Honorable Senator Rand Paul.

Resist.

They can’t arrest us all. They can’t keep all your kids home from school. They can’t keep every government building closed – although I’ve got a long list of ones they should.

We don’t have to accept the mandates, lockdowns, and harmful policies of the petty tyrants and feckless bureaucrats. We can simply say no, not again.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi — you will not arrest or stop me or anyone on my staff from doing our jobs. We have all either had COVID, had the vaccine, or been offered the vaccine. We will make our own health choices. We will not show you a passport, we will not wear a mask, we will not be forced into random screening and testing so you can continue your drunk with power rein over the Capitol.

President Biden — we will not accept your agencies’ mandates or your reported moves toward a lockdown. No one should follow the CDC’s anti-science mask mandates. And if you want to shutdown federal agencies again — some of which aren’t even back to work fully — I will stop every bill coming through the Senate with an amendment to cut their funding if they don’t come to work.

No more.

Do I sound fed up to you? That’s because I am.

I’m not a career politician. I’ve practiced medicine for 33 years. I graduated from Duke Medical School, worked in emergency rooms, studied immunology and virology, and ultimately chose to become a surgeon.

I have been telling everyone for a year now that Dr. Anthony Fauci and other public health officials were NOT following science, and I’ve been proven right time and time again.

But I’m not the only one who is fed up. I can’t go anywhere these days — from work, to events, to airports and Ubers, restaurants and stores, without people coming up to me thanking me for standing up for them.

For standing up for actual science. For standing up for freedom. For standing against mandates, lockdowns, and bureaucratic power grabs.

I think the tide has turned, and more and more people are willing to stand up. I see stories from across the country of parents standing up to teacher unions and school boards.

I see members of Congress refusing to comply with Petty Tyrant Pelosi.

We are at a moment of truth and a crossroads. Will we allow these people to use fear and propaganda to do further harm to our society, economy, and children?

Or will we stand together and say, absolutely not. Not this time. I choose freedom.

From your lips to God’s ears, sir. Ahh, but the good Senator ain’t done dishing out the two-fisted, bare-knuckle wisdom quite yet.

U.S. Senator Rand Paul blasted millions of Americans who are fully vaccinated, telling them to “mind your own business” after complaining about those who say they don’t want to eat in restaurants where everyone is not vaccinated.

“The bottom line is for those who are saying, ‘I won’t go to a restaurant unless we force everybody to be vaccinated,’ if you’re vaccinated you are overwhelmingly safe from hospitalization and death. Mind your own business,” the Kentucky Republican said on Fox News.

Unfortunately, the quote is from a Leftard Fake News shitpit that I refuse to dignify with a link, because fuck ’em in the left ventricle with a spikey dildo, sorry not sorry. There’s embedded video of Paul’s remarks there too; if you’re interested, it shouldn’t be too hard for you to find.

And the heartening developments just keep on a-coming:

Many people have looked at what is taking place in Australia with jaws agape.  Indeed, if there exists any system of western democracy that has taken more stronger totalitarian measures during covid than Australia, they are not easily identified.

There were reports in early 2020 of the United Nations organizing 5-stages of COVID lock-down plans, with “stage-5” being the most restrictive; and the Australian government agreeing to be the beta-test for the fifth stage; the ultimate police state.  If true, that explains the incredibly undemocratic and authoritarian controls triggered by the government down under.

The Australian army is patrolling the streets; all businesses are forcibly shut down; formerly free citizens now locked inside their homes; sky-marshals patrolling from the air and warning via loudspeakers to disperse; concentric rings of physical checkpoints around major metropolitan areas; dissidents and non-conformists identified, targeted and arrested by violent Australian police.  Yes, this sounds like a dystopian science-fiction novel; however, it is all the current reality in Australia…. and the government is claiming they are only in “stage 4“!

One Senator, Malcolm Roberts, warns the Australian government they are on the wrong side of history…

[Transcript] – “As a servant to the people of Queensland and Australia, I speak tonight on freedom. On many occasions in the last year I have addressed the Senate in regard to freedom as a counterbalance to medical tyranny. And I recently addressed the Canberra Freedom Rally, remotely. The side that is locking people up for the crime of being healthy, arresting protesters, pepper spraying kids, beating up grannies, banning books and electronic messages, censoring social media, sending threatening letters, forcing small businesses to close, urging people to dob in dissenters and banning safe drugs that have worked for 60 years are all on the wrong side of history.”

“In a frightening development, New South Wales has called in the troops to keep innocent, healthy citizens locked in their homes in what can only be called martial law.

Recent freedom marches showed what happens to citizens who exercise their democratic right to protest. People are demonized, hunted down; the media vilifies them to discourage others from questioning the control state. If the government can decide who is free and who is not, then that is not freedom and no-one is free. A crisis will always be found to justify measures designed to protect the government, not the public—a crisis that is as is easy to create as turning up the PCR test from 24 cycles to 42, where a false positive is the most likely outcome, as has occurred.

Everyday Australians are being deliberately demoralized to extract a higher degree of compliance. When COVID first arrived, there were few masks, and the experts and authorities told us masks were not necessary. Now, those same medically ineffective masks are used to condition people to fear and obedience. Crushing resistance crushes hope, and without hope we have no future.

Is it any wonder that small businesses are closing permanently? Every small business that closes is a family that was being provided for through hard work and enterprise. Who will look after those families now—the government? With whose money? The Reserve Bank, using electronic journal entries, can only create fiat money out of thin air for so long before it runs down our country. The government can only sell bonds until buyers stop coming forward. Then what happens? We will have no tax base left to pay government stipends to people who were once able to pay their own way.

Never in history has Lord Acton’s famous quote rung more true: ‘Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.’ It’s been calculated that the civil disobedience tipping point—which is the maximum capacity of the police to arrest people, of the jails to hold people and of the courts to process people—is in Australia around 100,000 people. Anything more than that and the system comes crashing down. Attendance at the freedom rallies last month shows we’re almost there.

No wonder the Morrison government has been scared into resorting to the refuge of tyrants—using the military to intimidate civilians into compliance and to mandating injections and threatening to rip away people’s livelihoods.

Everyday Australians are seeing through the smokescreens of fear and intimidation. People now see that the costs of the restrictions to family and community exceed the medical cost of the virus. Everyday Australians have spoken. We will not be divided, we are united, we are one community, we are one nation.”

Well, I guess we’re all gonna see about that—in AINO, in Oz, and throughout the entire Western world. I’ve run this one already, but it makes the essential point quite handily, and so bears repeating.

RESIST WE MUCH update! Brandon Smith endorses.

I have been feverishly writing lately on covid mandates and vaccine passports issues, and I’m sure most readers understand why – We are currently at the cusp of a great conflict against the powers that be; people who are exploiting the (mostly manufactured) covid crisis for unprecedented political and economic control. And when I say “manufactured”, I mean that there is no crisis, no need for mandates, no need for lockdowns and no need for vaccine passports.

We are dealing with a virus that around 99.7% of people will easily survive according to the medical establishment’s own studies and stats as well as numerous independent studies, yet, for some reason we are being bombarded with fear mongering from the media and from governments.

Why is the only solution being suggested to the general public involve us giving up all of our freedoms and medical autonomy?

The answer is simple and entirely obvious, or at least it was to some of us right from jump: Because this is NOT about any goddamned virus. If you want to extend the benefit of the doubt to The Power and stipulate that it may well have been in the earliest days of this, fine, you just go right ahead and do that. Going by all that we’ve seen since, though—particularly since the patently fraudulent “election” and the installation of the shambolic Antipresident marionette as a front for the ruling junta—I find it impossible to be so generous myself, and frankly can’t understand how any right-thinking observer could be. Smith puts it plainly:

Yes, that’s right, I’ll say it again and again because I STILL to this day see the media and misinformed covid cultists continually claim the death rate of covid is much higher. It is not. The median Infection Fatality rate of covid is ONLY 0.26%. This is a FACT. This is the science according the vast majority of medical studies out there on the IFR. Let me repeat: The entire world is being locked down and told we have to give up our inherent human liberties because 0.26% of the population might get more than sniffles and brain fog from a covid infection. Why?

Well, that’s easy; because the covid response and restrictions have nothing to do with public health and everything to do with public control.

Yup. Regardless of how overly-charitable you’re willing to be about the opening stages of this naked power-play, it’s not even remotely debatable now, not among honest folks. Anyone who tries to engage you in one can only be either a fool or a malefactor, and should be dealt with accordingly.

You’ll want to read the whole thing as per usual with Brandon’s stuff, of course, but there’s still one more passage I simply must excerpt:

Globalists like Gideon Lichfield at MIT told us exactly what the plan was in March of 2020 in an article tiled ‘We’re Not Going Back To Normal’. They admit that the goal has always been to institute vaccine passport restrictions that will last for many years to come, if not forever. From the article:

“Ultimately, however, I predict that we’ll restore the ability to socialize safely by developing more sophisticated ways to identify who is a disease risk and who isn’t, and discriminating—legally—against those who are.

…one can imagine a world in which, to get on a flight, perhaps you’ll have to be signed up to a service that tracks your movements via your phone. The airline wouldn’t be able to see where you’d gone, but it would get an alert if you’d been close to known infected people or disease hot spots. There’d be similar requirements at the entrance to large venues, government buildings, or public transport hubs. There would be temperature scanners everywhere, and your workplace might demand you wear a monitor that tracks your temperature or other vital signs. Where nightclubs ask for proof of age, in future they might ask for proof of immunity—an identity card or some kind of digital verification via your phone, showing you’ve already recovered from or been vaccinated against the latest virus strains.”

I say to you that this is the classic philosophy of almost every semi-human monster that has ever lived. This is the ideology of narcissistic sociopaths. The religion of soulless robots. Some of the greatest evils known to mankind have been committed in the name of “the greater good of the greater number”. This mantra cannot be tolerated under any circumstance; it cannot be allowed to infect our nation and supplant our deeper values. Because if it does, we may find ourselves slaves to the system for a very long time.

As I have been warning they would do for the past year, multiple governments are keeping pandemic lockdowns and restrictions in place or they are bringing them back (in the case of the US), and it should be clear to everyone that this circular process of medical tyranny is not going to end. It is never meant to end. The goal of the establishment, of globalists and governments, is to keep the restrictions in place indefinitely.

It most certainly is. Sadly, the supine compliance of most so-called “Americans” as tyranny tightened its grip has left Team Liberty in an extremely parlous position. In consequence, options have narrowed; opportunities have been lost; and odds against mounting a successful resistance have gone from pretty long to seriously daunting. Each and every step taken along the march to serfdom only increases the difficulty of altering course—a lesson learned by many populations throughout history, to the dear cost in both blood and treasure for all.

Updated update! Dang it, there was one more thing I meant to include with that last excerpt but forgot. It’s important enough to require another update, no way can I leave it out.

Finally, if the covid cult decides to pursue direct force as an option, we must be ready to fight back. Without local organization at minimum, defending ourselves will be difficult or impossible. This means bringing back an old standby of the Founding Fathers: The militia.

AT LAST, somebody finally came right out and said it! Besides me, I mean. Refreshing, ain’t it?

Sense≠nonsense

Contrary to what appears to be widely-popular belief nowadays.

Here is the scary blaring headline from Marketwatch. It is being duplicated on MSM websites, newspapers and fake news networks, as the fear narrative must be revived to drive Big Pharma profits higher and fulfill the Great Reset agenda. CASES!!!!!!! THE HORROR!!!!!!

U.S. COVID-19 daily case tally back at February levels, and patients are getting younger as Florida records highest hospitalizations yet

So they are basing the renewed panic porn on cases generated from a test the FDA just announced was being pulled from the market because it drastically overestimates cases of Covid. I got it. Makes total sense.

So, the 7 day average of cases is about 80,000. The last time it was this high was February 17. For some perspective you won’t receive from the MSM and government drone fearmongers, cases are still down 70% from the January high.  Now let’s get to the numbers they are not and will not include in their fake news articles designed to scare you into getting the jab.

Here’s the chart they want to keep hidden. Do you see the massive spike in deaths following this “surge” in cases? Look harder. It must be there. The 7 day average of deaths “with” covid is 362 in this entire fucking country of 330 million people. Do you realize we are losing .0001097% of our population per day to this dreaded disease?

ZOMFG1111ELEVENSES!!! Something MUST BE DONE!!!

For some more perspective, we were losing 599 people per day on June 1. On April 1 we were losing 893 people per day. And on February 17, when we had 80,000 cases, there were 2,709 deaths per day. So the Marketwatch bullshit story about cases surging to February highs fails to mention deaths are currently 87% below that February level.

For even more perspective, those numbers were almost certainly cooked by The Power. And just why might that be?

Renewed masking mandates, mandatory vaccine edicts by governments and corporations, and the threat of further lockdowns have nothing to do with your health or anyone else’s health. It’s the flu bro, and they have weaponized it to consolidate their control over our lives, increase their already obscene levels of wealth, and further their Great Reset agenda where you will own nothing, eat bugs, and live within an electronic gulag where all your communications will be monitored and censored if not conforming to the approved talking points.

Annnnd bingo. Oh, and did somebody mention cooked numbers just a minute ago? Well, the way the entire concept of “cases” has been rejiggered is a component of that solid suspicion, one of an ever-lengthening rotogravure of deceit and manipulation.

Regular readers have had it drummed into them that a “case”, as our Experts use that word, is not a case in the old-fashioned medical sense. Before 2020 in medicine, a case was an infected person who sought or required treatment. Today, a “case” is a positive test, a possible infection. True cases used to be separated from infections. Not anymore. Now panic rules and everything must be made to appear as bleak as possible.

I believe the Irish word to describe the work of our Experts is shite.

Yep. There are others, but that one will do.

So yes, something must be done for sure. But not the kind of things The Power intends, or wants.

This is the future unless you push back now and DO NOT COMPLY. The time has come to make a stand. There are more of us than them. The Party will not relinquish their power without a fight to the finish. We must understand their motives.

NOW we’re starting to get somewhere. In an otherwise flaccid, business-as-usual Morning Briefing post, Stephen Kruiser almost hits the mark.

This isn’t the time to draw a line in the sand, it’s time to push back so hard that the other side never gets near where the line would have been.

Close, but a little too withdrawal-method-y for my taste. Way I see it, we’re well past pushing, however hard; it’s time for PUNCHING—brutally, in the fucking head, with a set of knuckledusters on, over and over again until there’s so much blood streaming into their eyes they can’t even SEE any lines in the sand, and are far too woozy and out of it to dream of trying to cross ’em.

Then, punch ’em again.

Depressing update! Well, THIS certainly doesn’t bode well.

Washington, D.C. residents who spoke with Fox News on Monday were largely supportive of the city’s renewed mask mandate.

Mayor Muriel Bowser’s reinstated mandate, which went into effect Saturday morning, requires residents over the age of 2 to wear face masks indoors, regardless of vaccination. The order followed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines issued last week that recommend those in areas of the country with “high” or “substantial” COVID-19 transmission wear masks indoors.

“I think it’s great,” one resident told Fox News. “If people aren’t going to get vaccinated then we have to stay safe.”

Another local said: “Wear your mask indoors until they tell us to put them on again outdoors, then put them on outdoors too.”

“I just think for us to get rid of this we need to be wearing masks,” one D.C. woman told Fox News.

Others felt D.C. should go further than just requiring masks indoors.

“What they really should do is allow businesses to mandate people be vaccinated,” one resident told Fox News near Georgetown.

Another local who said he was vaccinated agreed: “We should mandate it,” he told Fox News.

So much for lines in the sand, defiance, pushback, and all semblance of Constitutional liberty and self-determination, I guess. Granted, we’re talking about only a small sampling drawn from Mordor on the Potomac itself here—the very belly of the beast, from whence the Great Darkness issues to smother all. Too, there is simply no percentage in expecting a majority in any population to be well-informed, attentive, and sturdy individuals instead of the cowardly, lowing cud-chewers most human beings really are.

But still.

The pitiful truth is that most of us on this poor blue marble don’t WANT freedom, and would never lift a finger or make the slightest effort to either secure it for themselves or defend it. On the contrary, they FEAR it, and will happily go to some lengths to see it crushed—along with a lot of other things that discomfit and shame them, like independent thought; nonconformism; personal responsibility for one’s own decisions, along with the attendant risk; and even the most piffling physical discomfort or inconvenience. Far from wishing to be left alone to run their own lives and walk their own path, they much prefer to be taken care of, micromanaged, and protected from the big, scary world they feel so intimidated by.

Moronic sheep like these piss-poor excuses for “Americans” make me want to puke, and that’s just the gott-damned long and the short of it. Our Founders, eloquent men that they were, would have found these, their benighted progeny so profoundly despicable as to be unable to express their disgust with mere words, and would have been left scratching their heads in disbelief over why they ever even bothered at all. They’d disown their doughy, pampered descendents on principle alone, and thereafter any fool who dared to even hint at familial ties with their heirs would find himself marching off the requisite twenty paces by the dawn’s early light with a dueling pistol in his hand before he could so much as say boo about it. Such a grave insult could not be borne by any man worth his salt. Honor would spur him to demand satisfaction, and he would get it, too.

Why did “Americans” lose their freedom? Because they don’t deserve it, that’s why. As many times as I’ve fretted in this space over the horror and misery to come when this struggle finally does go hot, I also must confess that the prospect of sending rounds through the empty heads of such worthless, contemptible curs DOES have its appeal.

Existential means what it means

Coexistence is unpossible.

Let’s cut the horseshit, kids.

There are not “Democrats” and “Republicans”.

There are not “Conservatives” and “Never Trumpers”.

Can we get serious?

There are Totalitarian Communists. And then, everybody else.

That group of “everybody else”? Those are Americans.

Period.

There is nothing American about Totalitarian Communism.

Never has been. Never will be.

You aren’t going to carve out enclaves of “Free America”. Because it means you’d have to cede refuges for totalitarian communism somewhere else, and nearby. Like that would ever work, once in human history. How did that go in Korea? Vietnam? Laos? Cambodia? Cuba? Venezuela? Hungary? Czechoslovakia? Poland? And countless other places? They’re never satisfied with less than everything, and once they’ve got that, they smash it to pieces while gorging at the trough themselves, and devil take everyone else. It always ends in a pyramid of human skulls, every damned time it’s tried. Fuck that idea, sideways, with a dull rusty chainsaw.

You aren’t going to pick the peas, carrots, and scrambled egg out of the fried rice, and divvy up neat little enclaves.

It’s not possible.

It’s not practical.

And no one could ever do it, in a million years.

And even if you magically could, where in hell do you think you’d put them?? No one else wants them, here nor anywhere else. You might could palm them off on Cuba, but only if they can swim there.

The only thing that will work EVER, is going to be bog-simple:

One side is going to be alive within US territory afterwards. One side is not.

That’s IT.

That’s what “existential” means.

One side is going to exist.

The other side is going to cease to exist.

If anybody is still hazy on the concept, I invite you to discuss what this looks like with the Carthaginians. Shout loud: Tunisia is a long ways off, and it’s hard to hear with six feet of dirt over your bones.

So make your decision whether you’re going to be the Romans, or the Carthaginians, in the next such struggle. It’s coming at you like a freight train, and there’s no third option if you plan to live in the U.S.

I’d love to be able to say he’s wrong, but I can’t. Because, y’know, he isn’t. The above post might be considered as furtherance of an earlier full-throttle burst of high-speed, low-drag reality, to wit:

You can’t make peace with cancer. Either you kill it, or it kills you. Decide.

The coming conflict is going to be street-to-street, house-to-house, floor-to-floor, and in some families, room-to-room. Stop kidding yourselves, and wrap your heads around that reality.

The only way this can be carried out, is to win it all back. If that means we carry on afterwards with half the population – or more – gone forever, so be it.

This isn’t just going to get uglier than you imagine before it’s over.

It’s going to get uglier than you can imagine.

Perzackly.

Bottom line? Still and forever this: KILL. THEM. ALL. That, or surrender and die your own self. And that’s it, ALL of it—full stop, end of fucking story. There is no in-between, there is no third way, there is no alternative path. Nothing to it but to do it. As the Bible says: Thou shalt not suffer a Commie to live.

…Okay, okay, it doesn’t say THAT, precisely. Maybe it should.

The eternal question

Will we stand for freedom or sit back and embrace oppression?

Lockdowns are coming. The Great Reset agenda is hitting its stride as world governments engage in lockdowns over the Delta Variant. Data shows it is more infectious but less dangerous than previous variants, but the fearmongers driving the narrative are treating it like an existential threat to society. In reality, THEY are the existential threat as they prepare to unleash their lockdown hysteria on the United States.

It’s coming. According to Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec:

WH official this am: “B lockdown speech being drawn up this week…they’re planning to make it sound like one of the most solemn in history, real Bush on the night of 9/11 type stuff. Would start stocking up if I were y’all”

There’s a choice that will need to be made by every American in the coming weeks. Are we going to stand up and object to the unnecessary, draconian lockdowns the White House plans on unveiling shortly or are we going to hide in our homes refreshing Amazon to see if they have toilet paper in stock again?

We faced the same basic question multiple times in 2020 and failed miserably. Sure, there were op-eds and rant videos. There were Tweets and Facebook posts. There even a few protests. But for the most part American Exceptionalism was diminished as the vast majority of people sat back and tried to wait it all out.

Then, something even worse happened. We got used to it. The new normal of creeping complacency and docile acceptance of totalitarianism firmly set most Americans into a state of uselessness. We weren’t working. We weren’t being educated. We weren’t engaging in life, at least not the life we knew before the pandemic. And it stuck.

Signs of a resurgence have been on display for a few months. But while we were busy debating vaccine risks and getting distracted by fake news, the powers-that-be were plotting the next phase in their takedown of the United States. The Delta Variant became the focus of their propaganda. Properly primed, the American people are on the verge of facing another idiotic lockdown.

Many of us won’t comply, and the powers-that-be know that. They realize that what’s happening in Europe is a precursor to what will happen in the United States. They’re baiting us, and unfortunately we must take the bait. The alternative is to allow it all to happen without a fight. At least by standing up and opposing the lockdowns, we have a chance of success. Our chances improve as we add more patriotic Americans to the list of those who will stand with us and fight back.

What will all of this look like in America? Let’s look at Germany today to see what our future may hold. According to Steve Watson at Summit News:

Worldwide protests against the decimation of freedom continued this weekend, with Berlin in Germany becoming the focal point as thousands took to the streets, rising up against lockdowns and the introduction of vaccine passports in the country.

As we reported last week, authorities in Germany have indicated that unvaccinated people could be banned from cinemas and restaurants and that those who have taken the jab will have “more freedom.”

Footage from the weekend highlighted riot police fighting with protesters, pepper spraying people and even aggressively pushing around old women and children.

The AP reports that 600 people were arrested.

If you don’t think anything like that could ever happen in the United States, you probably also used to think that we would never allow domestic terrorists to burn our city without police doing a thing about it. You probably thought American citizens would not be detained indefinitely for trespassing at the Capitol Building. You probably thought the American spirit would never stand by and let tyranny reign because of a virus that has a 99.97% recovery rate for people under the age of 50.

Do NOT underestimate the willingness of those working against us to do whatever it takes to bring their nefarious agenda to bear. Do NOT overestimate the resolve of your fellow American citizens to stand up and fight against it. We need to be rallying the people now. We must be inspiring those around us to put down their Netflix and GrubHub long enough to prevent perpetual oppression from taking hold in America. It’s time to get angry.

We should have gotten angry long ago.

It speaks very poorly of us indeed that we didn’t. It isn’t too late to do so now, perhaps. But that by no means suggests that “too late” will NEVER come, or that it isn’t entirely too close at hand already. And as if on cue…

Biden Regime Announces ‘It’s Time to Impose Requirements’ on Americans to Get Experimental COVID-19 Jab
White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Jeff Zients announced on Monday that the Biden regime is moving rapidly toward mandatory vaccinations.

Zients hosted a press conference with National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Dr. Rochelle Walensky appearing behind him remotely on screens. He aggressively shilled for the administration’s coercive measures meant to promote vaccine compliance.

“Last week, the Department of Veteran Affairs announced that it will require doctors and nurses and other healthcare workers who provide medical care to our veterans to get vaccinated. This is in lockstep with many healthcare employers around the country who are requiring vaccinations,” he added.

Zients stated that it is only a matter of time before the Department of Defense (DOD) starts requiring mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations for all military personnel as well. The Biden regime is also working on measures to socially isolate members of the federal workforce and subject them to degrading mistreatment in an attempt to compel them into getting vaxxed.

“The President announced that every federal government employee will be asked to attest to their vaccination status. Any federal employee who does not attest, or is not vaccinated, will be required to mask no matter where they work, get tested once or twice a week, socially distance, and generally will not be allowed to travel for work,” he said.

“We’re taking steps to apply similar standards to all federal contractors. It’s simple: If you want to do business with the federal government, get your workers vaccinated,” Zients declared.

The vaccine regime being imposed by the Biden administration in the U.S. and by authoritarian monsters in other countries is among of the worst tyrannies mankind has ever known. The globalists are playing for keeps, and the common people will have to rise up to have a chance of stopping their Machiavellian plot.

Indeed they will. The dimestore dictators are going to leave no space available to us for insisting on “peaceful” resistance, or for shying from taking ANY steps required to defend our bodily autonomy. The conciliatory and belligerent alike are being pushed into the same corner, no fine distinctions being made between them. In the view of our Masters, we have NO rights that they are bound to respect—NONE. They command, we obey—period, full stop, end of story. There can be no appeasing them, no negotiating, no compromise with them. Nothing short of our total submission will suffice.

Don’t kid yourselves: there is NO line they will not cross; NO punishment too inhuman, NO atrocity they will not cheerfully commit to secure total victory. The historical record on what extremes such “people” are capable of in the mad quest for absolute, unquestioned power could not possibly be clearer. Get it through your heads without further delay: They are utterly ruthless. We can expect neither compassion nor mercy from them. They have none to grant. Even if they did, they still wouldn’t, so blistering does their hatred for us burn.

Folks, I’ll just say it plain: this is some truly scary shit we’re in here. Nut-cuttin’ time is nigh upon us, in a battle we MUST NOT LOSE. Commenter SimpleAmerican puts it this way: “People will need to start giving out a few shots of their own.” Can’t argue, won’t try.

Red Dawn has broken

On the beam, with a caveat.

The Democrats’ RED DAWN: Yes, It’s A Communist Coup. But There Are Signs Of Hope
Remember John Milius’ 1984 classic movie, Red Dawn, in which Soviet and Cuban shock troops capture the town of Calumet CO? In one particularly compelling scene, the victorious occupiers execute Americans accused of conspiring with high school rebels who have been waging guerrilla warfare. But just before the Reds open fire, the condemned patriots start singing America the Beautiful.

I thought of that when reading Julie Kelly’s account of the January 6 Mostly Peaceful Protesters, still scandalously held in solitary confinement for their political opinions, singing the National Anthem every evening [January 6 Detainees Sing the National Anthem, July 18, 2021] Except this time, the enemy isn’t the Soviets: it’s Joe Biden and his—let’s face it—de facto Communist regime.

Hate to say it and all, truly I do, but at this point it might be about time we dropped the whole National Anthem/patriotism thing. The sad, sorry truth is that it’s an anthem for a nation that no longer exists except in rose-tinted memory, and cannot be brought back. Mourning the nation they’ve stolen from us and are in the process of dismantling it even as I type this is one thing; pure nostalgia is something altogether else, and if over-indulged will serve only to blunt the edge of a perfectly honed and well-justified rage, attenuating what of right ought to be a keen appetite for retribution until it’s nothing more than flabby futility.

These political prisoners’ “Days In Court” will be Stalinist show trials, designed to signal that opponents are “terrorists” and to make clear what the Regime has in mind for the Historic American Nation: legal and political harassment, then dispossession and, ultimately, Replacement. In the eyes of many Democrat officials and Leftist pundits, the so-called attack on the U.S. Capitol was “worse than 9/11”.

But there are signs of hope.

I must say I find the “signs of hope” he cites rather, umm, underwhelming. Could be that’s just me, though.

Maybe something remains of what truly unified Americans 20 years ago, when Saudi Muslim radicals—who shouldn’t have been in the country anyway—murdered 3,000 of our countrymen:

Unfortunately, rank-and-file Democrats seem be gulled their leaders. A poll from Echelon Insights in February reported the top concerns for Democrat voters:

  • Donald Trump supporters: 82 percent
  • White nationalism: 79 percent
  • Systemic racism: 77 percent

In contrast, Republicans said their top concerns are illegal immigration (81 percent) then lack of support for the police, and high taxes.

Not one issue among voters of the two parties overlaps. The two sides live in different worlds—what VDARE.com has called “America” and “Anti-America.”

The question we must ask is this: At what point do we realize a coup of unimaginable proportions has occurred, and our fate might be that of the Americans in Milius’ Red Dawn?

And the question we must answer remains the same: What, if anything, is to be done about that? Because, one way or another, it WILL be answered. It’s entirely up to us to see to it that it’s an answer we can live with—literally.

Are you tired of it yet?

Doc Zero is.

I’m weary of our ruling class sending the message that your home, business, and personal safety are at the mercy of violent Demcorat-approved grievance groups, but don’t you DARE do anything that makes the aristocracy in D.C. uncomfortable.

I’m tired of hearing the Abolish the Police Party demand limitless scrutiny and aggressive defunding of the police who protect the rest of us, but unquestioning support and increased funding for the police who protect THEM. Why not protect the Capitol with social workers, huh?

There are Democrat-controlled parts of the country where theft has literally been decriminalized, and not just during Democrat-approved riots. You have to stand and watch helplessly while your business is looted every day. But the rules are different for THEIR place of business.

The entire premise of the theatrical 1/6 hearings is supposedly that further “insurrections” are a serious threat that must be proactively addressed. That is FAR more true of Democrat-approved grievance riots. They were vastly larger, deadlier, and more likely to occur again.

No group that might contemplate barging into the Capitol was given billions of dollars in funding by politicized corporations, as BLM was. None of them enjoys anything like to the political and media support of the 2020 rioters, who even got a pass from coronavirus restrictions.

The Democrat Party normalized and celebrated political violence for months before the Capitol riots. Let’s have some hearings on THAT. Let’s talk about how incredibly dangerous it is for one Party to think it has a monopoly on grievance-mongering, street theater, and violence.

Let’s also have some hearings about how one Party thinks it has a monopoly on questioning the outcome of elections. We could roll video of top Dems, including sitting officials, doing that for HOURS. You want theater? I’ll make the popcorn and bring the tapes.

I’m not really interested in hearing any Democrat, or their GOP footstools, give tearful speeches about sacred democracy while their party systematically destroys every bit of protection for our elections and wantonly undermines every outcome they don’t like.

We have every reason to fear the full power of bloated, hyper-politicized government being turned against Americans who dissent from the ruling Party. Show trials designed to establish the predicate that dissenters are potential violent terrorists are not exactly reassuring.

There is no need to excuse or valorize anything that occurred on 1/6 to be disgusted by this week’s political spectacle. Our media tells us that “context” is everything. Well, in the full context of 2020, hysterics over 1/6 are absurd and hypocritical.

You can’t say THIS city is sacred ground, but THESE cities must be abandoned to mobs and criminals as lawless wastelands. Hell, most of D.C. outside the Capitol IS a lawless wasteland. You shrieking potentates can see murder factories through your barbed wire fences.

You can’t say THESE cops are sacred avatars of law and order whose actions merit no public scrutiny or investigation, but all the rest of them are trigger-happy racists who should be micromanaged, distrusted, disarmed, defunded, and replaced by community organizers.

You can’t say THIS politicized violence is totally unacceptable and should be prosecuted unto the end of time, but THESE people are allowed to use violence and vandalism whenever they feel the system is not addressing their grievances quickly enough.

You can’t tell me the 1st Amendment must be bypassed to silence “disinformation” because it might lead to “insurrection,” while embracing media outlets that spread Hands Up Don’t Shoot lies with wild abandon, resulting in real and immediate crime and violence.

When people who spent four years role-playing as “the Resistance” against a “stolen election” suddenly start telling us dissent and resistance are treason that will be punished without mercy, we know exactly what’s going on. It’s a grim story repeated throughout human history.

By all means, let’s have universal respect for universally RESPECTABLE elections. Let’s have zero tolerance for political violence. Let every American’s property be treated with the respect afforded to a congressman’s office. These hearings obviously aren’t about that.

No, they are not. As for telling them “You can’t say…” this, that, or anydamnedthing else, well, that’s EXACTLY what they’re doing. Yes, we’d all like to see the hearings you ask for above. We’d all like to see justice done, for these and a thousand other blatantly criminal, un-Constitutional, and outright treasonous acts. We aren’t going to get it—ANY of it. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. Not if they have anything to say about it, we won’t. Which leaves us with just one question to be answered:

NOW what?

Breaking down the breakdown

As I’ve said in a different but very much related context: a process, not an event.

How Breakdown Cascades Into Collapse
Maintaining the illusion of confidence, permanence and stability serves the interests of those benefiting from the bubbles and those who prefer the safety of the herd, even as the herd thunders toward the precipice.

The misconception that collapse is an all or nothing phenomenon is common: Either the system rights itself with a bit of money-printing and rah-rah or it collapses into post-industrial ruin and gangs are battling over the last stash of canned beans.

Neither scenario considers the fragility and resilience of the socio-economic system as a whole. It is both far more fragile than the believers in the permanence of the waste is growth model grasp and more resilient than the complete collapse prognosticators grasp.

The recent relatively mild logjams in global supply chains of essentials are mere glimpses of precariously fragile delivery-supply systems. These can be understood as bottlenecks that only insiders see, or as unstable nodes through which all the economy’s connections run. Put another way, the economy’s as a network appears decentralized and robust, but this illusion vanishes when we consider how the entire economy rests on a few unstable nodes.

One such node is the delivery of gasoline and fuels. It’s such an efficient and reliable system that 99.9% of us take it for granted: there will always be plenty of gasoline at every station, the tanks of jet fuel will always be topped off, and so on.

The 0.1% know that this system, once disrupted, would knock over dominoes all through the economy.

Hyper-efficiency and hyper-globalization has reduced the number of producers of essentials to the point that disruptions cannot be overcome with redundant sources. We see this everywhere in the global economy: a handful of plants and companies (sometimes a single source of essential components) process or manufacture essential components in much larger systems.

This is how you end up with thousands of newly manufactured vehicles parked in lots awaiting one critical part that is in short supply.

We’ve seen this movie before; we already know how it ends, or we should. Yet somehow, a great many of us seem unable—or unwilling, perhaps—to learn.

“Who’s in denial” Part the Second

Been waiting with bated breath for the second installment of Claire Wolf’s characteristically brilliant magnum opus to drop, and finally it has.

Who’s in denial about our current cultural and political state of collapse?

Most everybody. Millions of ordinary people who think bad times are always temporary are in denial. Oligarchs and plutocrats who believe we ordinary people are eternally tractable and malleable are in denial. Intellectuals who believe increasing quantities of fashionable nonsense are in denial. Politicians and their handlers who believe they can rule by fiat without consequences are in denial. Fools who imagine “the science” is a religion and that dissent from any statement by a high priest government-approved scientist is heresy are in denial.

I’ve been in denial about the true depth of our circumstances and about how truly evil (and insane) our new totalitarians are. I venture to say every one of us is in denial about something pertinent to freedom’s future. Even the best of us have blind spots, no matter how much we pride ourselves on having clear heads and open eyes.

Anyone who doesn’t see that we’re in deep, deep trouble must be very carefully NOT looking. Yet even the most clear-headed can’t see the future.

And by “future” I don’t mean a year or 10 years or a century from now (though that, too). I mean what might happen tomorrow. Or what’s happening today that we just haven’t found out about yet.

But who can blame those who yawn and go on with life? Yesterday no doubt brought some equally shocking, horrifying, or scandalous news. Tomorrow will bring more word of the ridiculous, the invasive, the totalitarian, the impossible. Some days we might get hit with two or three or four such outrages. Which one do you adopt as your cause when by tomorrow morning five more equally outrage-worthy acts will have fallen to your attention?

This is not apathy. This is not even the famous “outrage fatigue.” This is a sign of fatal decline. People know either that they can’t do a damn thing against the onrushing absurdities and evils or that they’ll try to accomplish something and be trapped forever in a game of Whack-A-Mole.

It’s chilling, as well, when you remember Voltaire: “Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.”
I’ll update Voltaire for our times: “Those who believe absurdities and force silence upon doubters, ensure atrocities.”

Good people are famously slow to perceive real evil. Famously slow to react radically (in the original meaning of striking at the root of a problem) once they realize conventional solutions no longer avail them. Once pushed to the wall good people can be famously more dangerous than their would-be masters acknowledge. Still, we’re slow — often tragically slow. We act only after the thing we love is already lost or crumbling.

That’s particularly true when we understand that virtually everything we read or hear is a lie, a distortion, a manipulation, or a sheer display of moonbattery. We realize we’ve been disenfranchised. Self-appointed (or dubiously elected) political and cultural leaders can get away with any damn thing they please. And they’re all rushing to do their dirty deeds as fast as they can, before we can catch on to what they’re doing, let alone react. So far, this tactic seems to be working in their favor.

But then, sometimes rapid shifts toward evil or insanity work to the advantage of We the Deplorables, as well.

Okay, enough with the excerptin’. As with Part the First, Claire takes a deep dive into American history to help shape her argument, but this time out she throws some of the less-well-known and seldom-discussed aspects of that era into the mix. It’s all solid stuff, a genuine, all-caps MUST READ. Hie thee thither.

Love Desire wins!

The mopping-up phase of the Culture Wars is upon us, when the victors walk the field shooting enemy wounded.

Some still have hope the war can be won, as seen in this headline: “Christopher Rufo says he’s outmaneuvering ‘hostile media’ on [Caucasians Require Termination]: Most people ‘on our side’”.

Rufo is right the majority of people are against teaching Caucasians Require Termination (CRT), but that counts for little, because in wars the side with the more powerful weapons win. Teachers unions, for instance, have already vowed to continue promoting the evilness of whites in spite of any rules against it. True, the baizuo pushing this might come to grief when it is realized they are white, too, but for now, they are triumphant.

All rulers and Experts say “Diversity is our strength”. There is no state more conducive to turmoil than Diversity. And maximal Diversity is CRT.

Think on it. There isn’t any major entity, from religion to education to business to government, that is not now in the hands of the Enemies of Reality. Their victory would now be complete were it not that the victors are a minority of persons. And because Reality must continuously be fought. You will have to repeat forever, and with great force, that men can be women or it will soon be disbelieved.

The 2020 election functioned as a tearing down of the Berlin Wall, a visible symbol of the futility of continuing the war. Regular readers will recall how we tried to fight the Fortifying, as they victors called it. But we lost. The truism that history is written by the victors will apply here, and has been applying to our memories for some time. The statues of great men like Lee fall to the cheers of Desirists, to be replaced by those celebrating the wastes of society.

Some, like Ed West, are painting the end of the war as not much more than a regime switch. When Reality ruled, busybody aunts, the Karens of their day, kept public morality in line. Now, with Desire the soon-to-be-victor, busybody aunts, the Karens of our day, will perform the same duty. This is nothing more than the commonplace observation that women in societies do most of the morals policing.

He says, “The revolutionaries were always going to create new rituals, new speech codes and new forms of censorship. England has changed a huge deal since our great victory in 1966, but in many ways it has barely changed at all.”

Of course it is true that public morals will be monitored and maintained. That is a constant. Somebody’s beliefs must be imposed and others’ shunned, canceled, or even censored. It’s that the wrong side’s views are now imposed.

West is right, however, when he explains how moral relativism was one of the weapons of war wielded with great success by the Desirists. “Relativism is a position you employ when you’re weak, to be abandoned when you win.” It is more than clear that it has been abandoned in their victory. The woke are all vehement moralists.

We know that we have lost because their morality has become official. Yet we also know that we cannot accept it.

So how to fight? First, save yourself and your family. Then think about your neighbor. Then think about your neighborhood and village. Then think about your county, then your state or region. Worry last about the country as a whole. As they move towards nationalizing everything and then toward supra-state governance, there will be less and less you can do about the state anyway.

Do you really think they’ll let you vote your way out of this at the national level?

Those still foolish or blind enough to believe that the systemic corruption of our “elections” only began in 2020 (CLUE: it did not) notwithstanding, it’s plain to more sentient types among us that free, fair, and honest US elections have long since been no more than a myth—a comforting fantasy naifs cling to as a toddler does his passie, his teddy bear, and his blankie. Of all the aphorisms, folks sayings, and old saws in existence, there’s probably none more apposite to Amerika v2.0 than this one: If voting could really change anything, it would be illegal.

SHOCKER: “American” Communists refuse to denounce Communism, won’t help anti-Communist protesters!!!

Somebody should tell Cuban protesters that the US flag they’re waving no longer stands for what they think it does.

On Sunday, thousands of Cubans chanted “Freedom!” “Enough!” and “We want liberty!” as they marched on Havana’s Malecon promenade. “People in Cuba are protesting 62 years of socialism, lies, tyranny & misery,” tweeted Sen. Marco Rubio, “not ‘expressing concern about rising COVID-19 cases/deaths.’ Why is it so hard for @Potus & the people in his administration to say that?”

Sen. Rubio was referencing a statement by Julie Chung, acting assistant secretary of state for Western Hemisphere Affairs. As Chung explained, “Peaceful protests are growing in #Cuba as the Cuban people exercise their right to peaceful assembly to express concern about rising COVID cases/deaths & medicine shortages.” The protesting Cubans, yearning to breathe free, might wonder what Chung is talking about.

As Nestor Almendros documented in Improper Conduct, Fidel Castro banished homosexuals to forced labor camps. As Orlando Jimenez-Leal showed in 8-A, Castro held a show-trial for General Arnaldo Ochoa and fellow officers, all executed. Fidel Castro called American jazz the “music of the enemy” and jailed trumpeter Arturo Sandoval for listening to the Voice of America. Saxophonist Paquito D’Rivera defected in 1981 but it was ten years before the Castro regime would allow his family to join him.

The Voice of America report on the Sunday protest did not use the word “Communist” or “dictatorship” in regard to the Cuban regime. “President” Diaz-Canel, who blamed the protest on a “Cuban-American mafia,” is not described as a dictator or Communist, a word that does not appear in the report. Julie Chung and national security advisor Jake Sullivan invoked “universal rights” but indulged no criticism of the Communist dictatorship. This now seems to be the pattern at the Voice of America (VOA).

During the 2020 primaries, Bernie Sanders said Fidel Castro “totally transformed the society.” No word about mass executions, the rationing of food, political prisoners, and more than half a century of Stalinist repression. For the Rip Van Winkle communist and his leftist “squad,” Cuba is the Buena Vista Socialist Club, the sort of arrangement they want to see in America.

The addled Joe Biden is only a figurehead, and the Sanders faction is now prevailing. That’s why it’s hard for anyone in the administration to say anything about Cuba’s 62 years of socialism, lies, tyranny and misery.

Well, naturally. Why on earth would we expect Amerika v2.0’s homegrown Commies to denounce Communism in Cuba, or for that matter anyplace else? They’re all playing for the same team—yesterday, today, and forever. God bless Cuba’s brave freedom fighters, but God help ’em if they’re relying on the FUSA to step in and lend a hand in their struggle against tyranny. There’s no help coming from here.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez (R) recently wrote:

“The Cuban regime’s military police are shooting unarmed Cuban protestors fighting for freedom. 60 years of communism, cruelty, & oppression cannot last any longer! We are imploring the USA to take action as we peacefully demonstrate on the streets of Miami.”

And the protests by the Cuban Americans in Miami were indeed peaceful, if exuberant, frenzied and excited and jubilant, as many spoke in Miami and Tampa and all across Florida. One protestor, eighty-two-year-old Hermin Soler, who fought against Castro and spent ten years as a political prisoner in Cuba, suggested that the Cubans were finally emerging from the “dream of the revolution” as they fight the realities of the communist regime, and he asked Miami’s people to encourage the Cuban people in their uprising, by letting them know that they are not alone in their struggle.

We hear calls for U.S. intervention alongside calls for U.S. restraint in the matter, and virtually no call for anything from the Democratic Party socialists and communists, such as Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT). And although a great argument could be made for invading Cuba and freeing its people, since America is actually responsible for its creation as a sovereign nation in 1908, it’s an inescapable matter that the freedom loving people of this nation, including two million Cuban Americans, who might seek an intervention, would be asking Joe Biden, the man who would be dictator of the U.S., to carry out so important a mission. The last thing Cuba needs today is Joe Biden’s communist advocacy involved in any of their affairs, since his involvement would most certainly help Cuba’s dictator, “President” Miguel Diaz-Canel and do great harm to the cause of freedom and liberty for the poverty-stricken ordinary Cubans in the streets.

I suppose the question of the day is: Are there any Americans today who would put their lives on the line to see the Cuban people live free once more? Many expatriates have built nice, comfortable free lives here in America, complete with homes, families and businesses. How many are willing to drop what they are doing and rush to aid the people of Cuba, many who are their own relatives left behind?

Unfortunately, given the political environment of the day in America and war fatigue and too many lost lives over twenty years of war in the Middle East, it appears that the Cuban people are on their own, waving the American flag or not. Unless, of course, people of good faith and a love for freedom rush to their aid however best they can, just as we saw many foreign nations, like France, Spain and the Netherlands, and foreigners such as Jean Lafitte, a buccaneer, aid America to win Her freedom from the British in 1776. The Cuban people’s freedom will be won or lost by them alone, but they will surely lose without outside support willing to smuggle guns and ammunition and food goods and other necessities to their resistance movement, and if anyone is so inclined, they should get to it while the iron is hot.

In the face of all their adversities, we should all pray that the Good Lord helps them find the freedom and liberty they long to experience and deserve. Pray that Cuba’s children will one day live free. It’s been a long time coming.

I repeat: God bless ’em; I wish them the best, and I hope they succeed. But just as Team Liberty is here in the FUSA, the Cuban freedom fighters are pretty much on their own. Real Americans might be inclined to support them right enough, but we have enough on our plates right here at home to deal with.

Update! Ran across this meme someplace or other recently, liked it, and downloaded it in the absolute certainty that a use for it here would easily be found.

The ground-level view

If you’ve noticed that what the people Salena Zito calls “our cultural narrative-makers” are reporting is quite often at odds with your own daily meatspace reality, particularly life as she is lived in small-town and rural America, well, it ain’t just your imagination. Since this is a relatively short piece and there’s no way to do it justice with some niggardly copy ‘n’ pastery, I’m just gonna repost the whole thing, with my apologies to Ms Zito and the good folks at American Greatness for the misappropriation. It’s an important story she’s telling, I think, and deserves to be brought before as wide an audience as possible.

Seeing America from the Ground
OTTAWA, Ohio—This is not a story about politics. Instead, it is a story about America and how sometimes, you can discover something new when you try to absorb the country’s character one mile at a time and when you take in a place on its own terms and not simply the terms of wherever you came from.

A couple of weeks ago, a native Long Islander who has called New York City his home for half a dozen years took his first trip to the Midwest for a news assignment to discuss what he found different about the way of life out here.

He flew to both Chicago and Detroit to learn about this foreign land.

The social media criticism of the resulting story was swift and brutal. The piece wasn’t any worse than the typical story flyover country folk read about themselves. But the oddest thing was that he tried to find the “Midwest” solely in the big cities of Chicago and Detroit. The true measure of the Midwest begins somewhere near the Pennsylvania state line.

Had he driven the 21 hours and 18 minutes it would take on the back roads between New York City and Chicago, he would have had one heck of a story to write about the country and the Midwest.

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, is a beautiful town surrounded by the mountains of Pisgah Ridge and is dotted with architectural styles that range from Federalist, Greek Revival, Romanesque Revival, and Queen Anne to Richardsonian Romanesque. How the former town of Mauch Chunk was renamed for the Native American sports legend is, in microcosm, the story of this town: the ingenuity of civic leaders who deeply care about preserving a place in a changing world.

Then, at the Ohio-Pennsylvania border, by some measures the official threshold of the Midwest, he would have found himself in Ashtabula, Ohio. There, he could have begun his education as to how the Great Lakes Midwest has struggled and adapted to the tides of progress and technology that have stripped it from its robust industrial past as a major port city and railroad hub.

Deep poverty, crime, and despair, associated with the collapsed inner-city neighborhoods of Chicago and Detroit, would have greeted him in a different form had he driven down Lincoln Highway and found himself in Ford Heights, Illinois. Once a blue-collar, middle-class black suburb, Ford Heights has died so hard, it has been consistently the poorest suburb in America since the beginning of this century.

It’s also one of the most dangerous places in the state. The violent crime rate is so high, it is unimaginable to not be a victim of crime if you live here.

I remember the first time I came through this town nearly a decade ago and found a makeshift altar on the side of an abandoned gas station lined with bottles of hard liquor, candles, a wilted red rose and the word “love” spelled out with decals. I wept for all of the loss that happened here. A visitor here, with his or her eyes open, learns quickly that deindustrialization is colorblind in sowing despair.

For the majority of my career as a journalist, I have had the opportunity to report on this country from the vantage point of taking the back roads to get from point A to point B for whatever assignment I was given.

I found early in my career in covering politics that parachuting into a city for an event or an interview or a rally or an election gave me little understanding of what was happening in the region. Yet if I made my way there, taking the back roads, I was able to see how things were changing—for better or worse.

When I stopped to talk to people, I learned early on that listening was much more important than talking and that my duty was not to report their stories from my perspective or experiences but instead from theirs.

The story of America isn’t exclusively the story that comes from the perspective of larger cities. Unfortunately, it often appears that way because those are the bases of our cultural narrative-makers: news organizations, institutions, academia, think tanks, major-league sports, and entertainment.

They are so disconnected from most places that it would astound them if they took the time to get on the road and ask them how they feel about the issues of the day. They don’t want their police departments defunded. They want their bridges and roads fixed and their water to be clean. They don’t want critical race theory jammed down their children’s throats. They are horrified at how political the military has become and are worried about the long-lasting impact of the crisis at the border.

They are good neighbors. They love God and aren’t ashamed to show it as much as they like pickles in their beer and ranch dressing on everything.

Whether you take a ride for half an hour, half a day, an entire week, or even a month, there is more good than not out here in this country, despite what you may read in the New York Times or the Washington Post; it cannot be seen or smelt or heard or felt with a mask on in an airplane. It can be experienced if you take the time.

As the saying goes, you can’t report on a country you’ve never been to yourself. Zito, bless her heart, has long been doing the job MFM “journalists” just won’t do. Kudos to her for that.

Back in my road-dog days, there was an outfit from Chicago called Three Blue Teardrops. They were briefly label-mates of ours; we played with ’em a bunch, stayed at their house a few times when we were playing Chi-town, and got to be very good friends with the guys. Hell, we even covered some of their songs, one of them being this ‘un:

Another 3BT tune we did:

According to 3BT’s singer/guitarist Dave Sisson, they were once being hollered at during a show to play that one, and Dave flatly refused to do it. When I asked him why he’d done that, since the song had always been one of their most reliable late-night house-bringer-downers, he told me he considered our version so good as to be the very last word on it, and that he now thought of “Long Hard Night” as a Belmont Playboys song. I was flabbergasted by that one.

Now, the reason I bring the Teardrops up at all is that when they were out on the road, they always went with what I considered an ingenius approach: routing and timing everything to allow for taking those side-roads and byways Zito talks about above, rather than the frantic, get-there-quick-as-you-can interstate dash much more common among harried, hungover road warriors. Whenever our paths would cross, Dave and his crew would wax rhapsodic about having visited the Cadillac Ranch in Texas, or seeing the World’s Biggest Ball of Twine, or what have you. They NEVER took the interstate. For the Teardrops, see, touring wasn’t only about doing shows, making money, selling CDs, or getting your music in front of as many disparate audiences as you could. It was also about enjoying the ride—about experiencing as much of Real America as they could squeeze in, between gigs.

That had never occurred to me before Dave told me about their way of doing things, and after he did I was kinda envious. For instance, the BPs drove within shouting distance of Gettysburg I don’t even know how many times…but never did we have enough time to make a stop and tour the battlefield, which every one of us in that van would LOVED to have done. Hell, my brother even drove up there on his own hook once to do the tour. But I’ve never been, and almost certainly never will now.

Three Blue Teardrops had it right, as does Zito. The true American story can’t be found on TeeWee, the internet, or the interstate highways. It’s out there still, but you gotta take the backroads to get there.

South Africa intel

If you’re looking for a sitrep on the festivities taking place now on the southern end of the Dark Continent, only not written in Afrikaans, DuToit would be the obvious place to find such.

What I witnessed over the last 48 hours tells us a lot, so let me distill the essence. In the beginning the mob was in control. Yes they were clearly in control as they marched relentlessly forward like an army ant formation advancing through the jungle. They devoured all before them and they were unstoppable. But importantly, they were controlled and focused. There was a clearly defined plan, so command and control is alive and well, but invisible. They knew when to hit designated targets. They knew where the police were absent. They knew where shopping mall security was most vulnerable. They were collectively acting as part of a plan.

Who are those central but invisible command and control people? Will our intelligence services possibly start to figure this out?

But the other thing that was clearly visible was the rapid way that civil society responded to the communal threat. Groups of citizens rapidly formed into militia, and mostly acted with restraint and to great effect. I don’t know the final numbers, but my gut feel is that more arrests were made by citizens acting in well-organized groups, than by the police.

I also note that some of the militia went beyond the act of arrest, and meted out instantaneous justice. Its unclear what the body count it, but certainly there were many. Some shot, some beaten and some even hacked to pieces by machete. I have seen credible video evidence across this entire range.

But the core lesson is that civil society responded by organizing themselves, rapidly and effectively. We will now see the dawn of a new era, where those civil groups become better organized than the government, which has clearly failed. In effect we had no government over the last 48 hours, because while this mayhem was playing out, Jesse Duarte gave a press briefing about an NEC meeting pretending to still be in control.

The Ruling Party has simply lost control. The civil service is so dysfunctional as to be a liability now easily bypassed by an increasingly confident and effective civil society.

Clearly attempts by government to disarm civilians will fail. Of this I am certain. Just as certain as I am about the emergence of self-organized militia centered on credible leadership and existing networks of security force personnel that have been sidelined by government purges.

This is the real New Dawn. Not the feeble message spewed out by the now embattled and increasingly illegitimate Ruling Party. Their days are numbered.

That’s not actually Kim talking there, but a former military intelligence guy he excerpted. As for Kim his own self, he sees things the same way I do.

Anyone who thinks this can’t or won’t happen here is deluding himself. The only reason that this hasn’t happened in the U.S. so far is that unlike South Africa, Blacks are in the minority; but it means that where they are a significant proportion of the population, this will happen — think Minneapolis and Ferguson, times ten.

I see burned-out city centers, and rampant poverty and lawlessness therein. After that, I’d really rather not speculate.

No point in it anyway. Historically, once balls of this type have dropped, there’s simply no way to know which way they’re going to roll or where they’ll end up coming to rest. Predictions are no more than a way for idle hands to pass the time until the tsunami of violence and anarchy washes over their own personal doorsteps.

Pay heed or die

Some serious sagacity from one of contemporary America’s most perspicacious, sober, and capable writers: Claire Wolf.

Over the years, when people have asked me, “Is it time yet, Claire?” my response has always been something like this: It may be moral to ‘shoot the bastards’ who kill freedom, but this isn’t the time. It doesn’t make tactical or strategic sense. Violence now will only make things much, much worse.

That’s still my strong conviction. To any members of the Deep State trolling the ‘Net desperately searching for those elusive “domestic terrorists” they’re so determined to locate invent: I’m a useless target for you. I don’t advocate violence except in self-defense and I dread seeing anybody, especially freedomistas, start a shooting war.

My hope is, as always, that a bloated, overreaching government will ultimately undermine itself and fall non-violently, as the Soviet Union did. It already seems well on its way.

But lately I’ve been asking myself if perhaps I’m in denial about the depth and urgency — and the possibilities — of our situation.

I’ve been reading the book Comrade X sent me, American Insurgents, American Patriots by T.H. Breen. It focuses on the way ordinary citizens drove the colonies toward revolution, ultimately forcing the more famous leaders to step up and lead.

A large part of it so far concerns the Intolerable Acts and public outrage over them.

Many histories of the Revolution, IIRC, trace a steady growth of resistance from the Stamp Act through the Townshend Acts through the Boston Massacre through the Boston Tea Party through the Intolerable Acts to Lexington and Concord and on to the Declaration of Independence. Maybe so, but Breen positions the Intolerable Acts as the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back. What Britain accurately but inadequately called the Coercive Acts turned ordinary, respectable farmers, lawyers, craftsmen, and housewives from angry — but loyal! — British colonists into an outraged force of active, uncompromising, and sometimes ruthless American insurgents.

One thing that struck me as I read was that both sides labored under delusions in the months leading up to the passage of the Acts in the spring of 1774. After the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773, American colonists, especially in Massachusetts, held their breath. They knew punishment would come, but not what form it would take. Because most information about British politics arrived in the form of imported and re-posted newspaper articles, colonists believed the British people were sympathetic to their cause and therefore that punishment would be limited and probably focused only on the guilty.

That was their delusion. Or one of them. They also held a long-cherished a belief that they were the legal, intellectual, and moral equal of any Englishmen, and that their fellow Englishmen saw them in the same light as they saw themselves.

They didn’t realize how implacably — if ineptly — British power brokers were against them. They didn’t realize that much of the English public, and especially the elite, looked down on them as being barely steps above the “savages” they lived among. They were, in short, viewed as the “deplorables,” “bitter clingers,” and “neanderthals” of their day.

While colonists waited and held high hopes, the government of King George III and Lord North decided to crush Boston by closing its harbor and place all of proud, self-governing Massachusetts under the direct supervision of agents of the crown. Listening only to their own self-interested contacts, parliament, lords, and king concluded that a) the ignorant rabble of Boston could be easily starved into submission and that b) nobody outside of Boston would step up in defense.

British authorities assumed the citizens of rural Massachusetts would blame Boston troublemakers, not the British government, for any problems that befell them as a result of the Coercive Acts (which the short-sighted British never considered might be intolerable, because subjects would be forced at gunpoint to tolerate them). Furthermore, and fatally, they assumed residents of the other 12 forever-squabbling colonies would regard the whole mess as a local New England matter and wouldn’t defend their neighbors or, heaven forbid, any general principles of liberty.

Those were their delusions.

While the colonists quickly realized how wrongly they’d judged the British government, the British government never did quite get A Clue about how it had misjudged the colonists.

From the moment the Intolerable Acts were brought across the Atlantic, the colonists were roused into such radical action that British authority was virtually demolished outside of cities, at least in New England. From late spring 1774 to April 19, 1775, resistance was fierce, spreading, and increasingly organized. Yet even once the shooting war began on that fateful spring day, some British officials and loyalists were shocked, truly shocked, that mere colonists had the temerity to shoot at British soldiers. (I saw statements in evidence of this stunned cluelessness at Minuteman National Park during my visit.)

British authorities and functionaries had been warned. They had been subjected to years of mostly polite resistance, followed by a year of decidedly impolite resistance. Yet many simply couldn’t believe it when Americans not only stood their ground against the greatest army in the world, but crouched behind stone walls and emerged from boulder-strewn hillsides to wage a new kind of — unsporting! unfair! — warfare against their smug, conventional, and “superior” masters.

Both sides began in denial. One side rapidly shook off denial and acted accordingly. The other — hidebound in its conventionality, its authority, and its certainty of rightness — couldn’t get over its delusions.

—-

Ours is very unlike the situation of our colonial forebears. They knew each other. They were neighbors, fellow parishioners, fellow militiamen, fellow small-town residents, sharers of mutual interests. They hugely outnumbered their would-be rulers, who had to cross an ocean to impose their will. They shared pride in self-government, in self-sufficiency (yet also in their economic contributions to the British homeland), in their historic rights. They aimed to be beholden to nobody. They eschewed debt. They would have found government handouts repellent, if they thought of them at all.

Unlike moderns, the insurgent colonists had more spies operating within British ranks than the British ever managed to insert into their ranks. Before the shooting began, they faced a limited number of British government officials in their midst and were able to intimidate and unseat them with sheer force of numbers that seem incredible to us, looking back on the sizes of the towns and villages of the day. They knew who the ardent loyalists and traitors in their midst were and were able to keep an eye on them as crises heated up.

We have no such advantages. We have the disadvantages of being under an extreme authoritarian — now wannabe totalitarian — government that is not only thick in our midst, but which oppresses with overwhelming numbers, with bevvies of armed agents from random agencies, and with unthinkable surveillance and control capabilities. And this coercive monstrosity is abetted by a populace that it has largely custom-schooled, propagandized, and above all bought off with virtually limitless supplies of funny money. This is a populace highly disinclined to bite the hand that feeds.

Anybody who imagines they can rise up and “shoot the bastards” now and gain the widespread public support any insurgency needs to succeed is delusional.

Yet…sometimes the “wrong” time to rise up turns by fate into the exact right time to rise up. And its hard to tell when the wrong time is truly, disastrously wrong and simply brings more oppression and when the wrong time is ripe to become right.

Out of so many lessons from the history of our Founding that Real Americans would benefit from studying closely, Claire has just spelled out the most vital one of all. We ignore it, and the others, at our mortal peril.

You’ll LOVE him when he’s annoyed

Our pestilential victim classes have Francis waxing…annoyed.

Perhaps we should go in the other direction: toward individual aspects of nuisance that can be identified and fought on the micro level. Everyone has a few he’s particularly un-fond of. Just now, at the top of my list is a huge (150 lb.) Newfoundland puppy named Joy who sheds continuously and frequently demands that I put one or both of my hands in her mouth. Unfortunately, she’s too cute to remain annoyed with for very long.

But slightly above the level of Joy we have the great American Panoply of Victims. Great God in heaven, how I despise people who seek attention, fortune, and privileges by claiming to be victims of this or that. Yet these days they seem to be everywhere.

Women: “victims” of a bio-social arrangement that has led to them being protected, cared for, even pampered by the male half of Mankind. (Shut up about the word Mankind, bitch; you can use whatever words you prefer at your next hen party.) Meanwhile, men do all the dirty, unpleasant, and life-threatening jobs while you whine about being “oppressed” by the “patriarchy.”

Negroes: “victims” of a society that has bent itself into a pretzel – not one of those Philadelphia-style straight pretzel sticks; the twisty ones – striving to improve the economic, political, and social conditions of the melanin-oversupplied. “Structural racism,” you say? Damned right – structured in your favor, DeShawn and LaShondra. You’ve tested our patience to the limit. Go just a little further, why dontcha?

Homosexuals: “victims” of a society that has awarded them above-average incomes, high places in the arts and entertainment fields, and innumerable perches from which to claim – simultaneously! – that “we’re born that way” and “we’re proud to be ‘gay.’” All the while evangelizing to young boys that “you’ve got to try it before saying you don’t like it.” One more “Gay Pride” parade that features nudity and public sex acts, and I might just unpack the Barrett M82 and the emergency package of Oreo Double-Stufs®. There’s this really nice clock tower I’ve been meaning to climb…

Muslims: Viktor Orban, where are you when we need you?

I could go on. Be grateful that I’ve stopped here.

Grateful? The hell you say. Frankly, I’d rather you hadn’t, but can readily understand why you would need to. No sense putting oneself at risk of a stroke or fit of apoplexy, after all. They ain’t worth it.

I could add a few more to Fran’s list, and maybe I will at some point. But it strikes me that—excepting the Mooselimbs, who are a big ol’ basket of primordial, full-strength Hopeless—the aforementioned groups all have something in common, as would any candidates I might come up with to expand the list. This commonality also happens to be the selfsame trait that makes them so witheringly tiresome: they’re all liberals, Leftists, whatthehellever you prefer to call them. As I’ve often insisted regarding Da Joooze, the real problem with these head lice isn’t so much their gender, their ethnicity, or their sexual orientation; it’s the gawddamned Leftism.

Which unsavory trait, unsurprisingly, is also what drives them to make human afflictions of themselves, instead of just leaving everybody else alone and tending to their own knitting like decent, civilized non-Leftists usually do. Just fix the Leftism, and viola! We can all get back to living together in relative comity again, and won’t be nearly so miserable.
