High crimes and misdemeanors redux

More on that eminently impeachable phone call, wherein Biden implored the imminently to be Impeached The Hard Way poobah of Shitholistan to lie for purposes of saving Faux Jaux’s crooked ass.

No, things weren’t going well, three weeks after the US abandoned Bagram Airfield in the dead of night.

Biden’s solution was to create the “perception” that all was fine. He wanted to keep the illusion going long enough to cover his Aug. 31 self-imposed deadline to withdraw US troops and have a victory lap on September 11th, when he would preen as the first president to end the forever war.

So he asked Ghani to trick up an event to make it look as if he had a plan to push back on the Taliban to reassure America’s allies who were beginning to question Biden’s timetable.

“I don’t know whether you’re aware,” said Biden, “just how much the perception around the world is that this is looking like a losing proposition…so the conclusion I’m asking you to consider is to bring together everyone from [ex-Afghan Vice President Abdul Rashid] Dostum, to [ex-President Hamid] Karzai and in between. If they stand there and say they back the strategy you put together, and put a warrior in charge, you know a military man…in charge of executing that strategy, and that will change perception.”

Ghani tried to explain that the situation was dire: “Mr. President, we are facing a full-scale invasion, composed of Taliban, full Pakistani planning and logistical support, and at least 10-15,000 international terrorists.”

He begged for US air support. “What is crucial is, close air support…a very heavy reliance on air power.”

The Afghan army was based on the US model, which relies on air support for enemy strikes, ferrying the wounded, and so on. But the contractors who serviced Afghan aircraft had left, leaving the Afghan army exposed.

Ghani could see the writing on the wall, and fled Kabul three weeks later.

With an airframe-stressing, engine-groaning, rotor-blade-bending chopper-load of ill-gotten US gelt, do note.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani fled the country with four vehicles and a helicopter full of cash, the Russian embassy in Kabul said Monday.

The embattled leader left the presidential palace in Kabul on Sunday to the insurgent Taliban fighters who had toppled his government.

The former World Bank academic — who holds a doctorate from New York City’s Columbia University — didn’t say where he was going, but Al Jazeera reported later that he had flown to Uzbekistan.

“As for the collapse of the (outgoing) regime, it is most eloquently characterized by the way Ghani fled Afghanistan,” Nikita Ishchenko, a Russian embassy spokesman in Kabul, was quoted as saying by Russian state-owned news outlet RIA, Reuters reported.

“Four cars were full of money, they tried to stuff another part of the money into a helicopter, but not all of it fit. And some of the money was left lying on the tarmac,” Ishchenko was quoted as saying.

Rumors that Ghani and his chaffeurs were laughing raucously, waving insulting and obscene hand gestures to those stranded on the ground, and shouting “So long, Joe, and thanks for all the fish!” from the open side doors of the purloined helicopter are impossible to confirm at this time. No confirmation, either, that the theme from the Benny Hill Show (Boots Randolph’s rollicking classic Yakety Sax) was blaring from loudspeakers bolted to the Blackhawk’s minigun mounts as celebratory background music. Now, back to the first piece.

This wilful naiveté of Biden and his urbane secretary of State, Antony Blinken, was designed to provide plausible deniability when everything went wrong in Afghanistan, as they knew it would. Their only mistake was thinking Ghani and his army would hang around until September 11th.

Biden’s defiant speech Tuesday was an attempt to bluster through with another fantasy — that our Afghanistan surrender was a success.
We’re supposed to pretend the Taliban is not taunting us with mock funerals or staging parades with some of the billions of dollars worth of Humvees and Black Hawks and weapons we gifted them.

We’re meant to overlook the 13 flag-draped coffins that were flown home to Dover Air Force Base on Sunday.

The president probably thinks the lies will keep working since his presidential campaign was such a triumph of perception over reality. Democrats pretended that he was a candidate of sound mind and good character whose empathy, integrity and foreign-policy expertise would restore America’s soul.

They got away with it only because the media and Big Tech conspired to fool the American people.

But a new Rasmussen poll shows that voters no longer buy the delusion — a majority think Biden should resign over the Afghanistan debacle. The problem is most don’t think VP Kamala Harris is qualified to replace him.

And that is our predicament for the next three years.

Wanna bet? Because from where I sit, it’s looking more and more like the bufoonish pRetend pResident might well be nearing the end of his disastrous run, one way or another.

Future, imperfect

Wherein David Solway gets his verb tenses wrong pretty much throughout.

Can America Survive the Biden Administration?

“Can”? It’s all too clear that it didn’t. Although it also must be said that it had been killed off long before Gropey’s anointment to the (ahem) “Presidency.”

The question that many Americans are now asking themselves is whether the United States can survive another three and a half years of a Democrat administration. Under its stewardship, a short period of merely a few months has seen the country sink into a morass of increasing social dissension, mounting debt, growing unemployment, the dismantling of central industries, gross mismanagement across the board, military embarrassment, policy failure, and international humiliation.

The nation is ruled by a president who seems to be in the terminal stages of galloping dementia. His potential replacement resembles a cackling witch with the intelligence of a feral child. The Senate majority leader is by all reasonable accounts a candidate for intensive psychotherapy. What unites these three presumptive authorities is a triple condition consisting of (a) contempt for the country they were elected or appointed to serve; (b) an intelligence quotient at the low end of the bell curve; and (c) an insatiable lust for the spoils of financial jobbery and unmitigated power.

One thinks of the three-headed (or rather, triple-faced) Satan immured in the fourth ring of the ninth circle of Dante’s Inferno.

One sure as hell does, at that.

I am convinced if events continue as they do at present, the nation that prepares for the 2024 election will be unrecognizable.

Show me a Real American foolish enough to still be “preparing” for the 2024 “election” to be anything more honest than the 2020 shitshow was—or who still even has any interest in it at all, except as pure entertainment—and I’ll show you a fella who deserves what he’s gonna get.

The fiasco that is Afghanistan will have been the least of its problems—merely a symptom of what was to come. Taiwan, a dependable ally, will be lost to the monstrous appetites of a rogue regime, aka Communist China. Russia will have exerted pipeline domination over Germany and middle Europe. The Baltic states will be threatened by re-incorporation into the new incarnation of the “Evil Empire” they managed briefly to escape. Radical Islam will have been gifted with a new lease on life. The Western alliance will have disintegrated. The world’s economy will be tottering. And America itself will have been catastrophically weakened by a Woke military, rampant inflation, massive corruption, a millennial surge in illegal immigration, energy dependence, artificially fomented racial tensions, electoral malfeasance, oligarchic censorship, and runaway flashpoints of internal conflict. On any rational estimate, this is what the future may plausibly look like. The present is an alarmingly close facsimile.

Again: “may”? Tense, David, tense.

The inflexion point was the last “irregular” election, although the debacle has a long prehistory. There is such a thing as historical momentum. When a nation decides to die, there is precious little that can prevent it. Arnold Toynbee wisely said that civilizations die by suicide, not murder. The same prescription applies to nations.

And on that depressing note, Wayne Allen Root has a few things to add.

Call this suicide by Democrat.

We have suicide bombers in the White House. We have suicide bombers in our governor’s mansions. Worst of all, we have suicide bombers directing the U.S. economy.

This is the Titanic. This is the Hindenburg. We are headed for disaster.

New York City now demands vaccine passports to go into any restaurant, bar, nightclub, gym — even retail store. Los Angeles followed suit. So did San Francisco and New Orleans. How many more will follow?

Las Vegas, my home, the entertainment capital of the world, isn’t far behind. You now need proof of vaccination to enter concerts, conventions, even Allegiant Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Will restaurants, gyms and retail stores be far behind?

This is madness. This is economic suicide. Either Democrats are ignorant morons, or this is the final Democrat plan to destroy capitalism by putting every business owner out of business. After all, this is what socialists, Marxists, communists and globalist America-haters have been waiting their whole lives for.

Another fine opportunity to embrace the healing power of “and.”

Let me explain what’s about to happen. About 50% of America hasn’t taken the vaccine. That’s no coincidence. Somewhere between 40% and 50% of America is never taking the vaccine. No matter what you say or do, the answer is still NO. We will not comply.

So, think about what this all means. If government is dumb enough to demand vaccine passports, that means 40% to 50% of us won’t eat at restaurants, or go to bars and nightclubs, or concerts, or conventions, or sports events. We won’t buy anything at your retail stores anymore.

Which means everyone is out of business. No business in America can take a 20% loss of sales, let alone 30%, or 40%, or 50%. They’re all out of business. Which means tens of millions of Americans will lose their jobs. Total economic collapse will soon follow.
Think about New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Orleans. No more conservative tourists. That’s half the tourists in your city or state — gone.

No more tourists from Texas or Florida, places with millions of unvaccinated citizens, where vaccine mandates are forbidden by law. Just those two states together have 50 million citizens. That’s millions of potential tourists never again coming to NYC, LA, San Francisco or New Orleans.

This isn’t just about conservatives. Many doctors and nurses I know want nothing to do with the jab. Large portions of black and Latino citizens don’t want the jab either. Lots of people don’t want that jab. And if you demand vaccine passports to get into any business, you’ve just lost all that revenue. Good luck.

Few businesses in America will survive. Mass economic devastation is coming. The Great Depression of all depressions could be coming. Could anarchy and civil war be far behind?

Is this the Democrat plan? Are they really suicidal? Are they doing the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party? Or are they just that dumb?

And, dude, AND. Because if they were all that smart, they wouldn’t be Communists in the first place, now would they? Back to Solway for the closer.

If a cataclysm is somehow to be averted, the time is approximately now.

It is no accident that the American Constitution, one of the greatest political documents ever penned by man, on a par with the Magna Carta, owes its force and uniqueness to Scripture. Writing in Newsweek, Kurt Eichenwald points out that “historians are discovering that the Bible, perhaps even more than the Constitution, is our founding document.” Indeed, one cannot do better than to consult the American Patriot’s Bible, a volume that should be read and studied by concerned citizens who wish to understand the nature of their act of establishment and its debt to the Abrahamic Covenant.

A reawakening to the majesty of the Constitution and its scriptural warrant is the single route to “cleaning house,” to “Making America Great Again,” to rescuing the nation from the malign agenda of its domestic enemies who seek only profit and power rather than pride in accomplishment and commitment to what once was called its “manifest destiny.” In the current climate of apathy, nihilism, and deep perplexity, this may seem like an insurmountable task. Yet, a return to the source and its evident belief in providence remains the indispensable factor in the quest for national recovery. I am not a communicant, and yet I sense that only a miracle, perhaps Divine intervention via a cadre of chosen warriors loyal to the spiritual and doctrinal origins of the nation, can save America now.

Perhaps, perhaps. But perhaps not. All that’s really needed is some stout, doughty, and determined ordinary Joes—the taxpaying, truck-driving, field-plowing, lathe-running heartbeat of America That Was—to decide they’ve had enough of being played and simply aren’t going to put up with it anymore. No Superman, no mystic “chosen warriors” required, just the old-school American Common Man enraged by the realization that government “of, by, and for the People” has been supplanted, without his consent, by a monstrous abomination that’s been riding him like a rented mule for many years—sucking up an obscene percentage of his hard-earned to throw away on frivolous horseshit even as it wags its finger at him over just how damned objectionable he is.

The bloated, corpulent federal goobermint sits astraddle of this nation, making it creak and crackle from the stress of holding the overgrown blob up, like a Queen Anne Chair…

…groaning under the monstrous weight of this guy’s grotesquely blubberous ass:

Either we throw the putridly fat bastard off for good, or the weight breaks us into shards and shavings. Either/or; a binary solution set, with no in-betweens, no half-measures, no third options. The choice could not possibly be clearer, simpler, or more obvious.

Making it stick

Words, however strong or clear, can never amount to very much if the action required to back them up is never taken.

In 1938, one year before the outbreak of World War II, Winston Churchill gave his famous “the lights are going out” speech, in which he said, instructively: “Alexander the Great remarked that the people of Asia were slaves because they had not learned to pronounce the word ‘No.’ Let that not be the epitaph of the English-speaking peoples.”

In 2021, the world takes stock of its freedom and finds out just how little is left. In Australia, Melbourne has been locked down for 19 months and the police are shooting violators with rubber bullets. In New Zealand, citizens testing positive for COVID-19 were quarantined by force in government camps run by the military: “I cannot allow the gains we have all made to be squandered by processes that are not followed,” said New Zealand’s prime minister.

In Great Britain, the National Health Service built an app that “pings” people who have been near a person with a positive COVID test and requires those people to leave work. Last month the app was “pinging” more than half a million people every week. Boris Johnson’s spokesman says the app is doing “what it’s designed to do.”

In America, New Yorkers will not be allowed indoors anywhere—no bars, restaurants, museums, movie theaters, gyms—without their “Key to NYC” proof of vaccination. This despite the fact that the vaccine only inhibits one from developing symptoms, but does not at all affect the likelihood of having the virus in one’s system or passing it to others.

This year, much of the world discovered that its freedom was illusory: Nothing more than words and slogans to soothe the credulous, feeble public. But not in Florida, where I happen to be at the moment. When “Key to NYC” was announced by Bill de Blasio, I knew it was the right time to visit some friends in the south and see how the other half lives.

Unsurprisingly, Dan’s trip was exactly what you’d expect: an invigorating breath of the clean, clear air of freedom, summoning forth an inescapable conclusion:

The reality in Florida exposes the worldwide response to the novel coronavirus for what it is: An exercise in oppression. A precious opportunity for governments to see just how far their tentacles can intrude into peoples’ daily lives. An excuse to grant governments across the world extraordinary, emergency powers that, once granted, will become normal and then permanent. It’s an excuse—that’s all it is. A phony pretext for everything the government wanted to do anyway.

It is chilling and sobering to see how aggressively governments will subjugate populations of whom they are not afraid. In almost every country in the world, people are coming up against the unfortunate realization that, when push comes to shove, they are utterly helpless.

Only if they believe themselves to be, or—far, far worse, something we see way too much of all around us nowadays—if they actually LIKE it that way. Perhaps the most dismaying revelation over the past year and a half has been not of the true nature of our government, but that of so very many of our so-called countrymen.

Gelernter goes on to make the essential, if obvious, point about the motives of gun-grabbing tyrants, cites some examples, then closes out thusly:

A people disarmed is a people enslaved. Enslaved not only by their lacking effective means of resistance, but by their having shown their willingness to surrender those means to the authorities. When you look at American states with the freest gun laws, you know you’re looking at states with the freest people: Not simply because these people have guns, but because they had the strength of character to keep them. They were the ones who, when the government came around to lock them in their homes, said “No.”

If America is to enjoy a new birth of freedom, as I believe it will, it starts with those Americans who believe there are some things more important than safety, some things dearer even than life. To those in less-fortunate circumstances and places, it may fall to you to take the first step towards freedom regained: The government will ask you for your papers. You know what to say.

All fine and well, as I’ve repeatedly said, and he ain’t wrong about any of it. BUT…as I’ve also repeatedly said: not gonna get the job done. Wish it would, from the bottom of my heart. Won’t. Sorry, all. Now what?

Somewhat to his credit, Dan sidesteps the by now obligatory insistence that, vital as those guns are, any use of them for their Constitutionally-intended purpose absolutely MUST be preemptively foresworn by all Real Americans. As if tyrants who, as he correctly admits, no longer fear the faint-hearted Sheeple can ever be dissuaded from abusing them by words alone. As if the mere possession of guns can ever suffice to reinstill a proper and correct fear into our masters, absent a credible threat of resorting to them at dire need—exactly as the Founders had to do, and did. He simply doesn’t mention that aspect of the matter at all, one way or another.

But he didn’t flatly reject the idea out of hand either, a stance which has somehow become the default even amongst some of the firebrands of the historically literate, sincerely patriotic punditry. Kinda sad that that actually does represent progress, of a sort. But hey, I said “SOMEWHAT to his credit,” now didn’t I? Baby steps, people, baby steps.

Resources for fighting mandates against COVID injections, masks, COVID tests

In the wake of numerous mandates for COVID-19 injections and mask wearing, there are ways to protest and fight back against such mandates, using some of the resources compiled below.

Haven’t delved too deeply into it yet, but at first glance it seems to be well thought-out and organized. A tip of the ol’ CF chapeau to ’em for the effort and all; it’s a good enough opening gambit, if a bit late. But we all know by now, or we should, that it won’t be enough. Alas, there’s only one way to end this—and it’s a lot more, ummm, kinetic, shall we say.

6

“Cruel and unusual”? Naaaaaah

Bring back the stocks. Among other needful things.

The coronavirus has given politicians new opportunities to project the power of government, and it has given us new opportunities to observe politicians breaking their own rules. Few things are as vile and contemptible as the hypocrisy of the ruling class.

We recall that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), during the lockdowns, had her hairdresser open up her shop for a private, maskless salon treatment. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) was photographed at Dulles airport in September without her mask, shortly before she flew out on her husband’s $50 million Gulfstream jet. John Kerry took his mask off on a plane, and he was flying commercial—first class. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) was maskless on the streets of New York City last year, where he was gratifyingly heckled by a fearless New Yorker as his entire entourage and the press corps and even the heckler were wearing their masks. Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo (D) wore a mask for the interview in which she tried to explain why she was seen without a mask at a bar after closing bars and telling everyone to wear a mask. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) traveled to visit family in Florida after telling everyone to avoid nonessential travel. Austin, Texas Mayor Steve Adler (D) also told people to stay home—while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas (he apologized, and said he wouldn’t do it again, but there was this wedding he really needed to attend). And over the weekend, photos surfaced of Barack Obama’s lavish, huge, and non-socially distanced birthday celebration on Martha’s Vineyard, as the rest of the country is being threatened with a renewed mask mandate and other restrictions.

After listing several international examples of same, we come to a suggested remedy worthy of serious consideration.

All these incidents serve to remind us what an exceptionally luxurious, frivolous, out-of-touch, one-percent-of-the-one-percent life is led by the politicians who tell us to be patient with losing our businesses or being forced to stay home from work. Their hypocrisy, their abuse of political power, should be a crime. Perhaps not a capital crime. But it does deserve something beyond a fine.

Oh, I’m perfectly fine with making them capital crimes, myself; if nothing else, all possibility of recidivism would be eliminated. But hey, maybe that’s just me.

Politicians who abuse their power should be put in the stocks. Money means nothing to the super-rich and super-powerful, and they will never serve jail time. But Nancy Pelosi would long remember being forced to sit in the stocks for a day outside the hair salon she had opened just for her. Gavin Newsom might learn a thing or two from having to look up at the people who walk by him while he has his feet up outside the French Laundry.

The point of the stocks was to humiliate people—not as an end, but with the intention of reforming their behavior. In 2004, a mail thief was ordered to stand outside the San Francisco Post Office for eight hours wearing a sign that read: “I stole mail. This is my punishment.” The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld this sentence, inasmuch as the humiliation served the purpose of making the culprit a better citizen.

Nothing else would be so effective or work so quickly in cutting these political big shots down to the size of ordinary people. It would force power-abusing politicians to do what they hate most—be confronted by their voters. Perhaps any politician who serves more than two terms should be put in the stocks for one day every year as a reminder of the basic loathsomeness of his profession. It might be easier than passing national term limits.

Politicians should be compelled in every respect, as much as possible, to live like ordinary, average, people. When they abuse their power, they should be treated far worse than average people, because their power and responsibility is so much greater. Politicians seem to think they deserve special treatment—and they do: Set them in the stocks. Not for long. Just for as long as it takes for them to learn their lessons.

Again: not harsh enough to suit me, not by a long yard. If “let the punishment fit the crime” is to be our standard, then full weight must be given to the innumerable lives ruined, the businesses destroyed, the human misery created, and the fortunes lost or stolen because of the actions of the career-politician class. That can only mean that leaving ’em stocked and subject to public abuse and humiliation until they’re well and truly broken, in body, mind, and spirit, is the way to go. “Learning their lessons” will never be adequate to the task; they never will, it’s completely beyond them.

Personally, I think even the stocks are insufficiently “cruel and unusual” for such despicable toads. If we truly intend to balance the scales of justice as compensation to the victims for all the harm politicians have inflicted, we should also consider bringing back, say, the Brank:

The device was a metal cage or mask that enclosed the head, often with ridiculous adornments designed to humiliate its victim. In some towns, the Brank had a bell attached to its rear only to announce the presence of the victim who was instantly mocked by the people she “endangered” through gossip.

Many variants of the Brank appeared throughout the Middle Ages, some included spikes that penetrated the victim’s flesh when she spoke.

The duration of this torture could range from a few hours, to months. In some cases, the victim was left to die with the Brank; if she ever removed it, she’d be tortured with another method and sometimes killed.

NOW we’re getting somewhere. Among the many other options which also merit looking into would be the Rack, the Breaking Wheel, the Thumbscrews, and my all-time favorite, the Judas Chair:

Also known as the Judas Chair, the Chair of Torture was a terrible device of the Middle Ages. It was used until the late 1800’s in Europe.

There are many variants of the chair. They all have one thing in common: spikes cover the back, arm-rests, seat, leg-rests and foot-rests. The number of spikes in one of these chairs ranges from 500 to 1,500.

To avoid movement, the victim’s wrists were tied to the chair or, in one version, two bars pushed the arms against arm-rests for the spikes to penetrate the flesh even further. In some versions, there were holes under the chair’s bottom where the torturer placed coal to cause severe burns while the victim still remained conscious.

This instrument’s strength lies primarily in the psychological fear caused on the victims. It was a common practice to extract a confession by forcing the victim to watch someone else be tortured with this instrument.

The time of death greatly varied ranging from a few hours to a day or more. No spike penetrated any vital organ and the wound was closed by the spike itself which delayed blood loss greatly.

Ingenius, and just the thing to instill the proper fear into the malificent buggers. One of these placed in a prominent position in both Congressional chambers, the Oval Office, and the Supreme Court could go a long way towards rectifying our problems. One in every state’s Governor’s Mansion, situated so that every last elected and appointed bureauweasel had to walk right by the thing multiple times each and every working day, would probably fix the whole mess practically overnight.

After that, restore the lost art of pistols at dawn on the Field of Honor to full legal status and we’d have ourselves a civilization worthy of the name again.

Nurse Ratched Nation

It’s a madhouse.

Right now an alliance of government, big tech, corporations, and mass media rule over the United States of America. They frame the debates, enforce the law as they see fit, and persecute their enemies while rewarding their friends.

That they defend so many crazy propositions apparently leaves them unfazed. Every day brings some new boogey-man tale about the Wuhan Virus, some new tidbit, seemingly plucked from the wind, intended to cow ordinary citizens into obedience. Our masters also want to fire health care workers who refuse the vaccine, the same workers who were last year’s pandemic heroes. And while we’re being bullied and berated, hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, many of them carrying the Wuhan virus, pour across our borders.

Meanwhile, the woke crowd trots out theories and ideas that would have left our grandparents rolling with laugher in the aisles. If you’re a man but think you’re a woman, then you’re a woman, and vice versa. So now “men” can have periods and babies. Defunding the police will lead to less crime. All white people are inherently racists. The National Anthem and the American flag are evil as well and should be replaced. Believing Christians are by nature sexual bigots.

In the novel and the film One Flew Over The Coocoo’s Nest, we meet Nurse Ratched, who has in her care mentally ill men. By the end of the story, we realize she’s a sadist, a tyrant sicker in the head than her patients, who she enjoys tormenting, making them feel small and keeping them helpless and dependent.

Our elites are Nurse Ratched en masse. If they truly cared about our country, they would seek to bring cheer rather than gloom-and-doom. They would become happy warriors, encouraging us to move ahead as a nation, to come together as a people, and to live in harmony.

And mostly, they would shut up, go away, and leave us to live our lives as we see fit.

The good news? Nurse Ratched finds herself opposed by the rebellious Randle McMurphy, who has feigned insanity so that he might spend his prison sentence in the mental hospital instead. He tries to make the other inmates feel more like men by playing poker with them, taking them on a fishing trip, and throwing a big party in the middle of the night.

To oppose the killjoys and doomsayers of our age, we need to become Randle McMurphy.

Good enough, and I don’t disagree, really. But it might be well to remember how everything turned out56S for McMurphy in the end: electro-shocked, lobotomized into a Biden-like stupor, and finally smothered to death with a pillow. Maybe Chief Bromden would be a better role model to emulate.

A numbers problem

With the Left, they never, ever add up—not in any context, not on any issue, not EVER.

The Covid 19 panic, which has been driving formerly civilized societies crazy for eighteen months, prompted the bringing-forth of The Science’s follow-up project: vaccines to stop the spread of the virus. Enter the scene, these vaxes did, like, a day-and-a-half after Covid-19 pirouetted onstage. Hmmmm. Could someone have been working on those vaxes backstage before the dread virus even premiered? Were patents issued for them pre-dating January, 2020? Seems so. But never mind that for now. The vaxes were rolled out to fanfares over a year ago and those moiling masses of America, the superfluous holders of bachelor’s degrees in Oppression Studies — for whom, sadly, the world had run-out of paying positions — lined up like kids at Santa’s throne in Macy’s on Black Sunday for their Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson jabs. Whew…! That was a close call!

Or was it? Naw, not even close, actually. Since now it turns out that the jabs don’t seem to work that well. The official story got murkier last week when the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported internally to staff (it leaked) that “fully vaccinated people might spread the Delta variant at the same rate as unvaccinated people.” Whoopsie…In a Delta variant outbreak on Cape Cod last month, three-quarters of the infected were fully vaxed-up patients. The story got darker because The New York Times, the usually-reliable mouthpiece for The Science and his allies in “Joe Biden’s” public health bureaucracy, let slip that, “The Delta variant is as contagious as chickenpox and may be spread by vaccinated people as easily as the unvaccinated.”

Wuh-oh…! A worm the size of an Amtrak Acela train has turned in the myocarditic heart of our nation’s capital. Things have changed overnight — didn’t they see it coming? — and now the government is freaking out as it appears to have some serious ‘splainin’ to do — and right on the heels, too, of an hysterical month-long campaign to persuade the remaining unvaxed millions to submit to the needle, climaxed by threatening the obdurate “hesitants” with taking away their employment and ability to participate in commerce and social life. All that sound-and-fury for what? For vaccines that don’t work… and which, quite possibly, could leave you seriously ill, even dead?

There’s one beguiling explanation I’ve heard — from Brandon Smith of Alt-Markets.us, and others — for that hysterical campaign of recent days to jab every last hold-out: the need to eliminate what’s called the “control group,” the bunch of people who, in any drug trial, are given no drug, or a fake shot (like saline), or a placebo (mindfuck agent) to see if the real thing actually works. The desperate effort couldn’t have been more idiotic, since there was no realistic hope of gulling the remaining unvaxed into getting a shot, and the effort only made the “Joe Biden” admin look even more dishonest and despotic.

This could be the beginning of the end for POTUS 46 and the Woke-Jacobin derangement he stole in on. The CDC numbers look so bad now, that Ol’ White “Joe” himself will have to step up to the mic and say something like: “We made a mistake with these vaccines. I hope you will forgive us.” Of course, he absolutely won’t rise to the occasion and say that, no way… and, anyway, the government (and POTUS 46) will not be forgiven because they’ve destroyed millions of livelihoods and tens of thousands of going businesses, and allowed a bunch of cities to get burned and trashed, and city-dwellers to be harassed and attacked by their Antifa/ BLM shock troops, and enabled roughly half the US population not-insane to be terrorized, mau-maued, and insulted by every Woke jape from the Drag Queen Reading Hour to Nancy Pelosi’s January 6 “insurrection” circus — with the janky 2020 election right in the middle.

Speaking of which election, evidence is likely to emerge soon that the numbers really don’t add up. And in a big way. The max-vax campaign may have been an attempted smoke screen for all that trouble coming down the line, but the max-vax move is obviously flopping now. And, by the way, do you suppose that the not-insane half of the nation has failed to notice that upward of half-a million people from other lands (all over the world!), many carrying Covid-19, have been jumping our border with Mexico…and that the US government has deliberately assisted them… and distributed them by bus, and even on airplanes, to distant points all over the USA…and now these government rogues have the nerve to put the squeeze on American citizens to vax up against a virus they are seeding around the country! Is it really too much to declare that this regime has got to go, and go as soon as possible?

Not at all. In fact, it’s the only reasonable conclusion an honest person can possibly reach, denied or dismissed exclusively by one of two groups: A) those who, using whatever madhouse rationalization, support the illegitimate junta; and B) those who were active participants and/or conspirators in the con-job that installed the abominable thing.

But to get back to the Left’s numbers problem—an apparently congenital defect for which there is no known cure or treatment—there’s a mighty rancid odor wafting off of those being peddled as part of the Plandemic Panic, and there has been from the very beginning.

A recent front-page headline in my local paper read as follows: “County bordering on high virus transmission rate.” A doctor with a large regional health system was concerned that the COVID-19 transmission rate had increased by 37% in one week and stated, “A transmission rate above 5% from the prior week is very scary.”

It seems useful to provide some context regarding numbers such as these, considering all the numbers being thrown around regarding COVID-19, the apparent push to create a panic over the delta variant of COVID-19, the obvious push for everyone to get vaccinated, and the fact that the United States is ranked so poorly in math and science.

The first number to be considered is the 37% increase. It certainly looked pretty bad, but percentages do not always provide an accurate picture. The county-wide cases went from 11 to 15 during the week in question, an increase of four cases. So a 37% increase does not seem to be all that concerning, given a population of over 91,000 people.

According to the doctor’s statement that a transmission rate above 5% is scary, the next thing considered was what it would take to get to that level. Going from 11 cases to 11.55 cases, something not even physically possible, would put the county in the “scary” range. Looking at something that is actually possible, going from 11 cases to 12 cases generates a 9% increase. So an increase of a single COVID-19 case would put my county well into the scary range, according to the doctor.

Percentages do not always tell the entire story.

Particularly when they’re actually being wielded as a tool to advance a hidden agenda.

I have no idea what motivated the doctor quoted in my local paper to present the information the way he did.

Oh, that’s not too hard to figure out. The doctor, as are many another amongst our “heroes” in the medical field, is a fully-paid-up member of Amerika v2.0’s shadowy, sinister Ministry of Fear.

Welcome to America, 2021. In just a few short months since the mysterious elevation of Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., inexplicably elected the 46th president of the United States, our country has undergone a stunning rapid devolution from a confident, economic powerhouse to a shabby debtor nation afraid of its own shadow.

The American Ministry of Fear, however, is not located in the Chancellery of the National Socialist German Workers Party in Berlin, but in every petty federal, state, and local bureaucracy, doctor’s office, TV news station, big-city newspaper, college and university in the country.

From the start of the COVID-19 manufactured panic, these agents of influence have waged a relentless war on the American psyche. And now, despite their miniscule majorities in Congress, they rule with an iron fist that brooks no demurral.

Their initial object, of course, was the destruction of the Trump presidency. This Coalition of the Vengeful tried everything, including announcing its intention to impeach Trump even before he had finished his inaugural address.

And then came COVID. A product of the CCP virus that first materialized in Wuhan, China and then was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world, the weaponized product of both Chinese scientists working for the Chinese Communist Party and the amoral Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institutes of Health, Covid proved the perfect social and economic weapon against America. Its effect on overall health was negligible, but that was never its intention. Its purpose was to instill our very own Ministry of Fear.

In that, it succeeded spectacularly. Suddenly, every person in the country could be regarded as an infection point—and thus to be supervised, managed, and quarantined on a whim. Never mind that the danger from the virus was limited to the very elderly and the already seriously ill: a herd-cull disease familiar from thousands of years of human history.

Masks—at first discouraged, then demanded, and finally commanded—became a depressingly familiar sight, a sign of Americans’ incipient enslavement by the diktats of an unaccountable government-by-edict.

But now the neuroticism of Manhattan’s Upper West Side—the quintessential big-government, red-diaper Leftist conclave in the nation that wields its influence through the New York Times—has, like COVID, infected every aspect of a once muscular America, debilitating it and sapping it of its vitality. Not just the unwarranted fear of a disease that even at its peak killed almost nobody, but of its media-fueled “variants,” which will continue on into infinity as an excuse for despotism and oppression.

In the name of “health,” we are experiencing a monstrous evil, every bit as pernicious as the twin totalitarian catastrophes of National Socialist Germany and communist Russia during the last century—evils only finally suppressed at great cost in lives and treasure.

With the current unholy alliance between the Democrats and “woke” big businesses, what we are seeing is something akin to Italian fascism under Mussolini, in which the captains of industry (very much including social media, which at this point needs to be destroyed) work hand-in-glove with Washington in order to impose such things as speech codes and overt censorship that government alone cannot do.

Unless (the MoF) is smashed, its reign is likely to last a long time.

Smashed it will truly have to be—a difficult, dangerous, and costly job, one which lawsuits, peaceful protests, and fraudulent elections aren’t anywhere near tough enough to handle.

Are you tired of it yet?

Doc Zero is.

I’m weary of our ruling class sending the message that your home, business, and personal safety are at the mercy of violent Demcorat-approved grievance groups, but don’t you DARE do anything that makes the aristocracy in D.C. uncomfortable.

I’m tired of hearing the Abolish the Police Party demand limitless scrutiny and aggressive defunding of the police who protect the rest of us, but unquestioning support and increased funding for the police who protect THEM. Why not protect the Capitol with social workers, huh?

There are Democrat-controlled parts of the country where theft has literally been decriminalized, and not just during Democrat-approved riots. You have to stand and watch helplessly while your business is looted every day. But the rules are different for THEIR place of business.

The entire premise of the theatrical 1/6 hearings is supposedly that further “insurrections” are a serious threat that must be proactively addressed. That is FAR more true of Democrat-approved grievance riots. They were vastly larger, deadlier, and more likely to occur again.

No group that might contemplate barging into the Capitol was given billions of dollars in funding by politicized corporations, as BLM was. None of them enjoys anything like to the political and media support of the 2020 rioters, who even got a pass from coronavirus restrictions.

The Democrat Party normalized and celebrated political violence for months before the Capitol riots. Let’s have some hearings on THAT. Let’s talk about how incredibly dangerous it is for one Party to think it has a monopoly on grievance-mongering, street theater, and violence.

Let’s also have some hearings about how one Party thinks it has a monopoly on questioning the outcome of elections. We could roll video of top Dems, including sitting officials, doing that for HOURS. You want theater? I’ll make the popcorn and bring the tapes.

I’m not really interested in hearing any Democrat, or their GOP footstools, give tearful speeches about sacred democracy while their party systematically destroys every bit of protection for our elections and wantonly undermines every outcome they don’t like.

We have every reason to fear the full power of bloated, hyper-politicized government being turned against Americans who dissent from the ruling Party. Show trials designed to establish the predicate that dissenters are potential violent terrorists are not exactly reassuring.

There is no need to excuse or valorize anything that occurred on 1/6 to be disgusted by this week’s political spectacle. Our media tells us that “context” is everything. Well, in the full context of 2020, hysterics over 1/6 are absurd and hypocritical.

You can’t say THIS city is sacred ground, but THESE cities must be abandoned to mobs and criminals as lawless wastelands. Hell, most of D.C. outside the Capitol IS a lawless wasteland. You shrieking potentates can see murder factories through your barbed wire fences.

You can’t say THESE cops are sacred avatars of law and order whose actions merit no public scrutiny or investigation, but all the rest of them are trigger-happy racists who should be micromanaged, distrusted, disarmed, defunded, and replaced by community organizers.

You can’t say THIS politicized violence is totally unacceptable and should be prosecuted unto the end of time, but THESE people are allowed to use violence and vandalism whenever they feel the system is not addressing their grievances quickly enough.

You can’t tell me the 1st Amendment must be bypassed to silence “disinformation” because it might lead to “insurrection,” while embracing media outlets that spread Hands Up Don’t Shoot lies with wild abandon, resulting in real and immediate crime and violence.

When people who spent four years role-playing as “the Resistance” against a “stolen election” suddenly start telling us dissent and resistance are treason that will be punished without mercy, we know exactly what’s going on. It’s a grim story repeated throughout human history.

By all means, let’s have universal respect for universally RESPECTABLE elections. Let’s have zero tolerance for political violence. Let every American’s property be treated with the respect afforded to a congressman’s office. These hearings obviously aren’t about that.

No, they are not. As for telling them “You can’t say…” this, that, or anydamnedthing else, well, that’s EXACTLY what they’re doing. Yes, we’d all like to see the hearings you ask for above. We’d all like to see justice done, for these and a thousand other blatantly criminal, un-Constitutional, and outright treasonous acts. We aren’t going to get it—ANY of it. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. Not if they have anything to say about it, we won’t. Which leaves us with just one question to be answered:

NOW what?

The most interesting man in the WORLD!!

Handlers drag Stutterin’ Jaux out into public view, hilarity ensues. Not that THAT could possibly come as any kind of surprise by now.

White House Struggles To Explain Biden’s Claim About Driving 18-Wheelers

Oh, they’re actually going to bother trying to “explain” this lapse into his typical state of mental confusion, are they? Assuming they do, and I don’t why they would really, I’m betting on the old “it was a joke” standby. That well-worn chestnut always seems to take in the rubes.

The White House is struggling to explain President Joe Biden’s claim that he has driven an 18-wheeler truck, Fox News reported.

“I used to drive an 18-wheeler, man,” Biden said on Wednesday. “I got to.” The president claimed he had driven the massive trucks before while visiting a Mack Truck facility in Pennsylvania, according to Fox News.

The White House didn’t respond to an immediate question from the Daily Caller News Foundation about evidence towards this claim.

Of course they didn’t. I mean, what could they possibly say?

Also left unexplained by White House goons was Jaux Corpsicle’s claim that, during the earliest days of his long and storied trucking career driving for Precion Tool Company in his home town of Memphis, he spent a lot of his off hours at Sun Studios with the legendary Sam Phillips—the man who produced the recording of “My Happiness” that Biden did as a birthday gift for his mother Gladys, which launched his career as one of the world’s most iconic rock and roll singers.

After the men in the long white lab jackets “escorting” Biden at the Mack plant tried desperately to steer their befuddled charge back on track mentally, the ***”””President”””*** launched into a rambling reminiscence of the very first days of his ***”””Presidency”””*** back in 1776, when he personally and singlehandedly penned both the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution in less than half a day.

Upon being queried by reporters about whether and when the Great Man might sit down to write his memoirs, Biden suddenly turned beet-red with rage at the imaginary slight. “COME ON, MAN!! I did that years and years ago,” the ***”””President”””*** angrily exploded, swinging his withered arms frantically around his head as if he’d been suddenly beset by a swarm of blowflies. “The title of it was, I think, My Personal Best umpty-tumpty-tiddly something or other, can’t remember. But over time, my book became better known as simply the New Testament. Sold a hell of a lot of copies, too, once I gave that Gutenberg feller a few pointers and we got that printing press of his working right again, I tell ya what.”

The White House press corpse fell to its knees at these startling revelations, every voice raised in hosannahs of praise and humble gratitude for what must surely be the greatest leader ever to bestride this poor planet, hailing him as the mighty colossus—verily, the King of Kings—he so truly is.

Biological Male “Mother” Attempts To Breastfeed Newborn Birthed By His Biological Female “Boyfriend”
“The baby has been able to latch, but I have not been able to produce any milk…”

Thanks captain obvious! Who knew that a biological male couldn’t produce breastmilk?

Determined to shove their depravity down the throat of their newborn, both literally and figuratively, the mentally ill new parents express dismay at not being able to breastfeed their baby naturally. In hindsight maybe “dad” should’ve kept his breasts when he decided to keep his uterus. Just a thought.

The new parents have refused to accept identification documents for their newborn baby because it would require the female who gave birth (wearing glasses) to be listed as the mother and not the male (black hair, pretending to breastfeed) who did not give birth.

Tearful but with a stiff upper lip, the new parent confidently exclaims, “we’re gonna supplement the feeding with formula so that my baby is still getting the nutrients that they need”.

Perhaps daddy-mama is confused by the word supplement, which Merriam-Webster dictionary defines as ‘something that completes or makes an addition.’ Cant supplement something if you’ve nothing, to begin with. The baby won’t be supplemented by formula, it will be sustained solely by it!

Astonishingly enough, this appears NOT to be a Babylon Bee article, nor is it from the venerable, universally-revered Weekly World News. Which I think is a goddamned shame, for several reasons.

Leggo my…ummm…

Lego? SRSLY?

A mere thirty-six hours after I interviewed Julie Kelly and Mollie Hemingway about the Lego Insurrection, the United States Government filed a “supplemental memorandum” with the Court:

In the original detention memoranda, the undersigned stated that law enforcement found a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set.” Please note that after a review of the photographs from the search, there appears to have been a miscommunication and that statement appears to be inaccurate. The Lego set was in a box and not fully constructed at the time of the search, as pictured below.

Judging from the picture below, “not fully constructed” is a characteristically DoJ evasion for “not constructed at all”. See for yourself: as we do with Mann vs Steyn and Katz vs Steyn, at SteynOnline we like to post the original court documents.

“The undersigned” is Assistant US Attorney Melissa Jackson. Inventing eye-catching “evidence” that catches the fancy of the world’s media would be a big no-no if you did it, but it appears to be standard operating procedure at the Department of “Justice”. And, oddly enough, all the news outlets that reported on the horror of the smoking Lego gun of the Lego Capitol have failed to correct their breathless reports about the “fully constructed” building.

The United States has more corrupt prosecutors than the rest of the “free world” combined: whether you’re talking about Cosby and Epstein or the FISA court, what would be a disqualifying “lack of candor to the tribunal” in most Common Law systems is just the way these guys do business.

Mr Morss’ latest bail hearing is tomorrow: There is no reason for him to be behind bars for another seven months. Which is the prosecutors’ earliest estimate of a trial date – although, of course, in the end there will be no trial: The point of gaoling someone for over a year supposedly to await his constitutionally guaranteed speedy trial is that it’s much easier to lean on him to “settle”. There’s a reason the DoJ wins 97 per cent of its cases without trial.

This is an evil and indefensible system. To those rock-ribbed conservative talk-show hosts insisting that they know all the good patriotic men and women at the FBI and it’s just a few bad apples at the top, I ask again: Where is there a single G-man who has objected to the Bureau’s degeneration into enforcers for the Deep State? Browbeating George Papadopoulos’ wife into losing her baby. Abusing Roger Stone’s elderly wife. Stringing along with the #BLM fake noose. And now faking headline bollocks out of a Lego set. Every FBI agent has gone along with all of the above.

It would be nice if some of those so-called Republican legislators demanded some accountability from federal “justice”, wouldn’t it?

Ah, but they’re waiting for the Durham Report! Durham will get ’em, wait and see! Any day now!

Oh, you just go ahead and snark away, smart guy. You’ll be talking out the other side of your mouth after we retake Congress in ’22, then re-elect Trump (again) in ’24.

Hey, it could happen. In another country, on another planet, in another galaxy, in another dimensional interstice. You betcher!

An inconvenient truth, an unfounded assumption

Wherein Max Morton gets everything absolutely right, only to trip on a very large rock he keeps overlooking by the end.

We live in a divided nation. Our politics have become not just polarized, but toxic. For a country founded on the principles of individual liberty, democratic choice in representative government, and republican protection of natural rights, America has seemingly lost its way. American politics have devolved into a zero-sum game power struggle between two wings of the same establishment—with the prize being the privilege of exploiting the American working class. We are a long way, both figuratively and literally, from the raging fires of liberty that opposed the crown’s Stamp Act in 1765.

Like all empires, America’s decline, or “transformation” in the words of our 44th president, was the result of poor decisions by both elected leaders and the citizens who elected them. Corruption on the part of a rent-seeking elite and apathy on the part of the citizens have delivered us to our present situation. Although it is important to understand the mistakes that we made along the road to our failing empire, the real question we should be asking now is what are we to do about our current predicament.

In David Reaboi’s essay in the Claremont Institute’s The American Mind, he discusses the importance of ending traditional America’s favorite pastime of arguing the same ground with the political opposition over and over again—as if minds are not already made up and just one more pithy tweet or witty meme would finally produce a tidal wave of political defections. Instead, he states, we should consider the work we must do in order to salvage some form of republican society that appreciates and protects the founding principles of America’s charter and our way of life.

This is an issue that cannot get enough attention. It is fruitless to continue arguing the same tired Left/Right arguments. “Owning the libs” on Twitter, relentlessly calling out the hypocrisy of our political opponents, and focusing our time and attention on outrageous content may be entertaining, but it won’t save us from the oppression and serfdom of the authoritarian oligarchy that is presently transforming America.

As an example, last week the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives published proposed rules to restrict ownership of AR pistols, which tens of millions of Americans legally own and use for self-defense and sporting purposes. The catalyst for this new classification and restriction under the National Firearms Act of 1934 was the Biden regime’s executive order on implementing greater gun control in America—under the guise of reducing gun violence.

The conservative commentariat’s response has been loudly to point out that this will have little or no effect on the effort to quell gun violence. Really? Does anyone honestly believe the regime’s interest in banning tens of millions of legally owned firearms and potentially making millions of law-abiding Americans felons overnight is for the purpose of reducing gun violence? This has nothing to do with preventing gun violence and everything to do with disarming American citizens—a longtime, major plank of the Democratic Party and an essential step towards authoritarian rule for every dictator in modern history.

When we give credibility to a lie by arguing against it as if it were a sincere assertion, we are diminishing our brand and reinforcing the regime’s misrepresentations. Instead of wasting time and bandwidth on the regime’s specious gun violence argument, why not concern ourselves with what we can do  to thwart this and future efforts to restrict our constitutional rights? Why not focus on reforming the 1934 National Firearms Act to remove arbitrary restrictions on firearms and accessories that give the tyrant an entry to confiscation? It is not enough to attempt to conserve the last shards of our constitutional rights—we must instead focus on advancing our cause of liberty.

One of the difficulties with human nature is our tendency to remain frozen in a familiar construct. Right now, many Americans are still living in a construct that is no longer germane to the present. They have failed to detect the significant changes in our society’s institutions. The hard reality is we are living in a post-truth and post-justice world where our past ideas of freedom, individual liberty, and equal justice are simply no longer valid. The expectation that debate matters in a post-truth society inevitably leads to disappointment when no one cares about your truth. The idea that someone will save us from tyranny as long as we send money to a political party and cast our vote for the right candidate is obsolete—if we are to be saved, it is up to us to be the cavalry.

Traditional Americans can only be free if they create the conditions for their freedom. In order to accomplish this, they must remove or nullify the power of any faction opposed to that freedom. In this case, the oligarchy and their authoritarian-minded supporters are that faction. They wish to impose their design of a managed society onto traditional America—a design that does away with freedom, individual liberty, sovereign nation states, and equal justice under law. It is up to us, traditional Americans, to prevent that from happening. We must act to save ourselves. But what can we do? First, stop the tit-for-tat debate theater. Second, focus on the solution.

No argument from me to this point, with any of it. Morton remains on point through several more ‘graphs. But the big rock is right down the road, just waiting.

In practice, federalism requires state governors to assert their existing constitutional role to govern and protect their constituencies while heavily filtering the actions of the federal government within their state. Decentralizing, or reducing the influence of the D.C. regime, can protect the rights of red state citizens, while preserving the structure and efficacy of a representative government in a constitutional republic. Let the states live as they may and assume the bulk of the governing mission. The states should focus inward on governing their people. The federal government, within the powers enumerated in the Constitution, can focus outward on the governing responsibilities external to the states—common defense, diplomacy, national infrastructure, and commerce.

An authoritarian oligarchy doesn’t care about preserving a union of states or whether traditional America participates in its “democracy.” The oligarchy only cares about removing barriers to its business interests and preventing traditional America from getting in the way of its wealth and power. In their model, everyone does as they’re told, while national borders and sovereignty are quaint relics abandoned for the sake of progress, profits, and cheap labor. Traditional Americans should fight to preserve this union, while also preventing the obliteration of their way of life. That’s a fine line to walk, but it’s not an impossible one.

Consider the idea of preserving the union as maintaining a bridge to America as it was intended. While we are a divided nation, decentralizing control via federalism empowers states to govern their citizens in a manner that protects and enables their chosen way of life. It maintains our stake in the union while preserving our liberty. The union is the bridge to facilitate more effective participation of a centralized government if and when the conditions of national unity reemerge. Individual states are free to experience the rewards or consequences of their policies, which also serves as an objective measure to their respective efficacy, and influences others to likewise adopt or shun them. Either way, there is freedom of choice for Americans to live the way they choose without a Washington establishment attempting to impose its one-size-fits-all will on the unwilling.

Federalism necessarily defeats the oligarchy’s consolidation of power and at the same time prevents the premature dissolution of the sovereign nation-state that is America. The ideals that sparked the Declaration of Independence and subsequent armed rebellion from the crown were built upon individual liberty. Our founders chose freedom over subservience, democracy over monarchy, and representative government over a managed society. We have lived by their sacrifices for 256 years. Now it is for Americans to decide whether we will continue as citizens of a republic or as subjects under the rule of a wealthy technocratic elite. Our founders gave us federalism to protect us from the tyranny of the few—traditional Americans should embrace it as the solution to preserve our liberty and our way of life in this deeply divided nation.

Now, I’ve endorsed state nullification and/or open defiance of FederalGovCo edicts, and still do like it. I believe that such a strategy should be attempted, if only as the very last resort to secure justice and resolve this conflict via peaceful means. That said, it’s fanciful and naive in the extreme to seriously expect that it can succeed, or will. How a man as intelligent as Morton is, who can see and interpet matters as clearly as he does, can also believe that the tyrannical, utterly ruthless US government will meekly sit back and allow Real Americans to force it back into its Constitutionally-prescibed box without a fight is beyond my ability to comprehend. Pigs will fly first.

People Who Ruined World’s Economies Gather To Discuss How To Fix World’s Economies
CORNWALL—According to sources, the people who ruined the world’s economies by promoting lockdowns, economic shutdowns, and printing cash have gathered in the United Kingdom this week to discuss how to fix the world’s economies.

The very people who implemented anti-science policies that simultaneously did nothing to stop COVID and ruined millions of livelihoods gathered to enjoy their triumph over the virus and talk about how to fix everything.

“We assure you — we will have a great plan to fix everything!” said the people whose plans ruined everything. “Trust us — when have we ever been wrong about anything?”

From Boris Johnson and Joe Biden to Justin Trudeau and that weird French guy, members of the summit had pushed harmful economic policies rather than just letting the people reach herd immunity and go on with their lives. But they’re now claiming they are the people you need to listen to for reopening the very economies that they destroyed.

At publishing time, the entire world was praying for a giant tidal wave to hit the beach where the attendees were gathered.

Prayers: answered. Problem: solved. World: saved.

World’s Economy Saved As Giant Crack In Earth Swallows Up All G7 Conference Attendees
CORNWALL—A time of peace and prosperity has broken out across the earth after a sudden earthquake opened up a crack in the earth’s crust and swallowed up all G7 world leaders in mere seconds.

Witnesses reported feeling a low rumble beneath their feet as Joe Biden, Justin Trudeau, Angela Merkel, and others gathered on the green grass for a photo op. The rumble grew to a roar as the ground below them opened up and dragged every G7 leader into the depths of the earth. The ground then closed up over them and they were never heard from again.

“Hey guys, please remember to use my preferred pronouns,” Trudeau had begun to say. “We need to be sensitive to– AAAHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh!”

Experts are unsure who will be taking over the important work of running the planet, issuing random lockdown orders, and fighting climate change in the absence of such brilliant and courageous leaders.

“This is such a disaster. What will we ever do without them?” said 1 or 2 people around the world.

World governments have assured their citizens they will continue the important work of building back better for everyone. American citizens will be mourning the terrible loss this weekend with backyard barbecues.

After the celebration, what we should be doing is taking concrete steps to prevent any Ruling Class as reprehensible, incompetent, and arrogant as this one from reconstituting itself and rising to power ever, ever again.

No “need”

Answering the wrong question.

Why I Need an AR-15

Any time someone asks why anyone would “need” an AR, or any other firearm, the only proper way to respond is: Because fuck you, that’s why. If your interlocuter persists, the correct followup is: Mind your own fucking business, asshole. The next step is to ostentatiously pull the charging lever back and put the weapon into battery, all with the fiercest glare on your face you can muster.

The idea of anybody “needing” anydamnedthing at all is the ugly knock-on effect of letting the Constitution slip slowly down the drain and away. In a nation with a 2A in force and functioning, if questioned about “why you need” an AR, AK, or what have you, the only argument you need to make is Because I want one, that’s fucking well why. “Need” is completely beside the point, or it oughta be.

Because fuck you, that’s why. Full stop, end of story, get on with your busy day. A more polite way to put it:

I don’t need an AR-15 for hunting: It’s not even legal to take a deer with one in my state—the caliber is too small. I also don’t need an AR-15 for self-defense, though I’d want to have one if someone broke into my house. And I certainly don’t need one just because it’s a beautiful piece of engineering. I need an AR-15 because the government doesn’t want me to have one.

There are only two forms of government: One where the people are afraid of the government, and one where the government is afraid of the people. Whoever has the weapons is the ruling class, and there is only one case in all history, only in America, that the ruling class has actually been the common man.

Every action taken by the federal government has one purpose in mind: To protect the government from its citizens by transferring power from those citizens to the government. It is a striking and horrifying fact that, in this eternal quest, criminals and the government are in perfect alignment. Criminal acts of a certain magnitude are necessary in order to make emergency government measures plausible.

The real problem is that a government with a monopoly on force might do anything. They might respond to your home-schooling plan by confiscating your children, as happened in Germany. They might jail you for making an offensive joke on your Facebook page, as happened in Britain. They might use a pandemic to force you to close your business indefinitely, as happened in New York. A man disarmed by his government is not a citizen—he’s a subject.

The question regarding dangerous weapons is not whether it’s safe for citizens to own them, but whether—or why—we might consider it safe for the government to own them. When the FBI descended on Waco, they managed to kill more people in one day than the most prolific serial killer they ever caught had killed in his whole career. The Branch Davidians at Waco were actually gun dealers and were well-armed, but of course the FBI brought a tank. The FBI should not have had a tank to bring.

The current administration in Washington, D.C. is not elected and is not legitimate. As if confirming this fact, they’ve surrounded themselves with barbed wire and soldiers carrying machine guns. In so doing they implicitly acknowledge the danger posed—to them—by an armed and angry population. An AR-15 is not just a tool of last resort: It is a declaration that the last resort exists, a reminder that there are outer limits to the abuse of power.

Only if those limits are enforced. It is in the nature of all government that, eventually, their encroachments will expand until the people must choose: either they’re willing to defend their rights by force of arms, or forfeit them until such time as they are. Liberties unclaimed are liberties undefended; liberties undefended are liberties lost, and “last resorts” that are voluntarily abandoned are last resorts without teeth, and therefore do not effectively exist…except as the posturing, pointless machismo of slaves.

Too cool for school

Okay, so I guess THIS is now a thing.

Very cool indeed, and I salute this guy for seeing to it that the jump came off so nicely, with fewer broken bones than if Evel himself had done it. But as you’ve probably guessed already, I have a small quibble, from a high-oblique direction, regarding a gripe I’ve been nursing since my folks got me an Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle of my very own.

See, here’s the thing: Evel, incredible as it seems, actually did all those crazy jumps on a Sportster. Even more remarkably, it was a damned Ironhead Sporty, known to every biker near and far as one of the sorriest, most aggravating pigs ever to (only barely, only sometimes) motorvate around on two wheels. Ironheads were slow, heavy, incredibly unreliable, and handled about like the misbegotten tanks they truly were. I mean it, man: Ironheads were shite.

My very first Harley was an Ironhead, and I loved that thing all to pieces. Don’t ask me why.

Whatever his reasons, Ironheads were what Evel used back in the day. And any kid who had one of the Stunt Cycle toys back then—as well as a little knowledge of motorcycles—could readily confirm that the Stunt Cycles, neat and fun as they inarguably were, were not no way no how a Sportster of any kind. Here, have a look-see:

EvelNeevelStuntCycle.jpeg

Have a look at that engine, then compare and contrast with one of Evel’s original Sportys, a 1972 XR750:

Notice anything? Because I knew right away when I got mine that the Stunt Cycle looked suspiciously like a *gulp!* Jap bike. No, really. I was gobsmacked by it at the time, and I still am.

Who knows how such a thing might’ve happened, but I imagine the Motor Company was some pissed about the slight, you betcher. I did a little poking around and found that, for the first cpl-three years of the toy, the manufacturer DID make an effort to replicate the hairy-legged XRs that Evel repeatedly busted himself up falling off of. But then, for whatever reason, the toy shifted into full-on Riceburner mode. Which, to my horror and dismay, is the one I had when I was but a wee lad.

Ahh, who the hell knows, maybe there was some kind of trademark hassle or something. Those were the dark days when AMF (stands for Annoying Manufacturing Flaw) was running Harley D into the ground, so it’s really anybody’s guess as to why the switcheroo was made. Myself, I’m just thankful to finally get that off my chest after having borne the burden in silence for so very, very long.

Via Ace, who thoughtfully includes more vidoes, along with a few inspirational quotes from Da Man himself.

A man can fall many times in life, but he’s never a failure until he refuses to get back up.

If you don’t know about pain and trouble, you’re in sad shape. They make you appreciate life.

I can say the Lord’s prayer in 10 seconds.

I decided to fly through the air and live in the sunlight and enjoy life as much as I could.

If a guy hasn’t got any gamble in him- he isn’t worth a crap.

He left out the best one, though:

Anybody can jump a motorcycle. The trouble begins when you try to land it.

Heh. Ain’t it the truth. I’m with Ace here: I don’t know about you, but my testosterone just shot up 300 points.

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. "If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
