The impossibility of reform

When you can’t reform it, you must either remove it, or continue enduring it until such time as your resolve hardens, your spine stiffens, and your self-respect is restored.

Break up the FBI
The Republican staff of the House Judiciary Committee released a 1,000-page report on Friday on the “politicization of the FBI and Justice Department.” While sometimes overwrought and sometimes overbroad in its claims, the report supports well its fundamental assertion that “the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the stewardship of Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, is broken. The problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI’s politicized bureaucracy.”

Uh huh, I see. SO, get rid of Wray and Garland and all will be well then, right? Is that the basic premise here, or nah?

Garland and Wray have repeatedly stonewalled legitimate attempts at congressional oversight, sometimes (by this observer’s reckoning) almost criminally. In a Nov. 2 letter to Garland, ranking committee Republican Jim Jordan of Ohio listed an astonishing 32 outstanding requests for information (stemming from eight different inquiry letters from committee Republicans) that Garland or his agents have yet to fulfill. Likewise, Wray has failed to fulfill 38 informational demands from eight other letters.

Riiiight. And THEN what happened, eh?

Even accounting for a tendency for the minority party in Congress to make some demands for information seemingly more crafted for political “gotcha” theatre than for legitimate oversight, the recalcitrance of Garland and Wray on obviously substantive demands is an affront to the public. Instead of the transparency due in a government based on the citizenry’s consent, this behavior looks like the sort of cover-up common to authoritarian rule.

As well it might, seeing as how we assuredly do NOT have “a government based on the citizenry’s consent” anymore. For any who requires evidence in support of the proposition that we are currently under authoritarian rule, as the author of this piece seems to be waiting for: by your own standard, the first two ‘graphs ought to suffice, I should think.

For example, in light of a concerted Justice Department effort to target anti-abortion protesters, which has included dangerous use of heavily armed SWAT team raids of homes with children readying for school, Republicans have asked for department communications referring to this aggressive campaign. Garland has not complied.

“Asked for.” You gotta love that.

In general, citing numerous whistleblower reports, committee Republicans produce copious evidence of “political bias [against conservatives or Republicans] by the FBI’s senior leadership,” of a “systemic culture of unaccountability,” and of “rampant corruption, manipulation, and abuse.” The most familiar complaints are about the targeting of parents who dare speak up at school board meetings, the major transgressions involved in the part of the “Russia probe” that targeted former President Donald Trump (rather than just Russian election interference more generally, which was significant), and the outlandish cover-up of concerns about the laptop and international business dealings of presidential son Hunter Biden.

And THEN what happened? Anything? Anything at all? Anybody? Bueller…?

The FBI is an immensely valuable agency with thousands of good workers. Its centralized top ranks, though, have become corrupted by too much power with too little accountability. House Republicans are right to limit its abuses, and McCarthy makes sense in proposing to reduce its mission.

Stuff and nonsense, every last syllable of it. The FBI has been abusive, unaccountable, and entirely immune to oversight, reining in, and reform since its very inception, BY DESIGN. The Bureau has no Constitutional remit whatsoever, which is another confirmation of the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. They would have abhorred the very idea of any such rogue, out-of-control federal agency. It’s a sad, sorry measure of how very far we’ve strayed from their original vision that it even exists at all, or ever did.

Forget, HELL!

Stupid, smarmy bint expects forgiveness absent any hint of contrition, repentance, and reform. Which is assuredly NOT the way it works.

This is the ultimate slap in the face by “nice Christians” who believe Jesus wouldn’t want us to keep the Nazis waiting at the train station.

Those of us who were right from the beginning about this “pandemic” and were called unloving Grandma killers by these willfully ignorant, tyrant enabling Sheeple, aren’t “gloating.”

We didn’t make “lucky” guesses.

We read the data.

We knew the entire history of virology and true “Science” was being discarded.

We saw the double standards and illogic of unbiblical “lockdown” measures.

We were shocked and dismayed by how “nice Christians” enabled such Tyranny.

And we witnessed the true nature of EVIL at work in every “recommendation” and “mandate.”

And you had the exact same data and opportunity.

You didn’t “make a mistake” and “did the best you could” because you “had no way of knowing.”

You CHOSE your path and its consequences.

Now that we’ve been proven right beyond all shadow of an “Expert” doubt, we are NOT going to “move forward” with those who demand forgiveness without showing a shred of repentance.

We are filled with Righteous Indignation.

You need to seek forgiveness, in sackcloth and ashes, from the God you have offended for the Evil you have enabled. For the elderly who were left to die alone. For the children who had their childhoods stolen. For your neighbors who had their lives and livelihoods destroyed so you could feel safe. For your fellow citizens who will NEVER be able to return to “normal” after what you’ve done. God’s Justice DEMANDS there be trials AND punishments. To demand “forgiveness” without accountability is NOT WWJD.

We cannot and WILL NOT “work with you.” To order us to AGAIN comply by granting you “amnesty” and an ease of conscience that is not ours to give, shows that you will only repeat your prior actions when TPTB unleash the next “crisis.” You called us “Grandma killers” then and “unloving and unforgiving” now. And all of history shows you will happily comply with Evil when this happens again.

Absolutely, positively correct, right down the line. To grant those I labelled way back when “CoVid panic-ninnies” an absolution they haven’t earned is to guarantee they’ll do this again, as many times as we agree to forgive and forget. As I constantly argued, again and again and again, back in 2020: you NEVER willingly surrender your freedom to snakes-in-the-grass like Prof Oster, because once you have, the only way you’ll ever get it back again, assuming you ever do, is at the point of the sword—or, more precisely, at the muzzle of the AR15. Which, fancy that, is just ANOTHER thing “people” like her want to take away from us.

Gee, wonder why that might be.

As an old bumper sticker popular many years ago amongst us unreconstructed Southrons had it: Forget, HELL!

This woman must think that she’s talking to a 1957 Cub Scout den that got in a fight when someone mis-counted the marbles, or something a lot like that. A person in that situation could afford the authority of using that royal “we” without having to explain it to the children. It becomes a mystery with nearly sinister undertones when this person is talking about the scope and scale of militant destruction put upon America in the past three years.

Let’s note how Dr. Oster confesses that the ones who were in the dark are the ones who said and did what they did. They commanded people’s lives into virtual cages with orders against doing the business to sustain them. They ordered administration of ostensible medicines (“vaccines”) to as many people as they possibly could, under the plain extortion of threatening all other aspects of life — jobs, educations, transport services, medical services, for instance — as penalty for refusal. Honest medical analyses of these drugs are now revealing effects catastrophic to and horribly conclusive of human lives around the world. They smashed the souls and intellects of an entire generation of children, including all imaginable and unimaginable implications ranging from toddlers to adolescents and beyond, with scientifically laughable nonsense applied to schools: the very sorts of schools that once taught me enough to know how plainly psychotic the whole thing was

Dr. Oster: “But the thing is: We didn’t know.”

That is, indeed, “the thing”. It’s the very thing that the commissars and research-fetishist should have been thinking, before they might have had to say it out-loud, after they’d done what they did, but if only they hadn’t done it.

It’s the thing that countless Americans were shouting as hard as they could into the gas-blast from “experts” and “authorities” who never stopped telling them how stupid and evil they were. They were viciously betrayed by the insidious promise of “public square” opportunity for “voice” in social media and then “cancelled” (a word of marvelous facility, now) for dissent, with monstrous digital precision, by faceless corporations selling “community”.

And now, these people — this heathen caste — are professorially instructed that “dwelling on the mistakes of history can lead to a repetitive doom loop”.

There’s a phrase fit to Balkanize, for you.

By an unexpected tum of our history, a bit of the truth, an insignificant part of the whole, was allowed out in the open. At the lowest, most basic, level of principle, this caste of dissent is called upon to dismiss and dispose of the experienced reality which is the the material of morality itself. The harm that they’ve suffered, and the outrage of having it at the hands of obvious incompetents and malevolents, has shown them more than enough about how not to live as human beings instead of despised subjects. Wholesale demolition of society is what they’ve seen and lived on every quarter, and that’s what they’re being told to forgive and forget, on the now plainly hollowed pretext of “the good of society”. This goes beyond contradiction and hypocrisy to psychological assault, with the added insult that it comes from a self-preened “unapologetically data-driven” economist. Nobody who has had to hear — remotely — of a dear loved one’s death because their presence was forbidden by “data-driven authority” should have to think about something like this for one stolen heartbeat before dismissing it with contempt or hatred or whatever the current research says about the completely sensible and righteous human response.

People who are morals-driven, even at their most charitable, are simply not now disposed to stand for this.

How well or whether the Dr. Osters of America might conceive an understanding of that fact, and why it exists as a fact, would tell a lot about whether the almost maniacal demand for “unity” is as flatly cynical as it seems. There can be nothing like that between people who think that the agonies of the past three years are to be understood and condemned, and people who cannot and will not see that demand as a matter of moral principles: applied studies in how to live, versus how let it all go to massive deathly mayhem.

I must say, I do enjoy the bleating from the Osters of the world, all wailing so very piteously that we didn’t know, we didn’t know, how could we have KNOOOOWWWNNNN…

Well, speak for yourdamnedself, bitch; I KNEW, and I don’t think anybody out there considers me any kind of “expert” on anything at all. Go fuck yourself and your proposed “amnesty” right in the liver, with a rusty railroad spike, until it stops hurting so much.

Updated update! I second Francis’s reminder, wholeheartedly and with big clanging bells on.

But let’s not omit this, for without it the formula would be fatally unbalanced: We mustn’t forgive ourselves either. We gave in when we should have resisted with all our might. We accepted dictatorial impositions and abridgements of our God-given rights when we should have mustered our rage and employed the corpses of our would-be tyrants to decorate lampposts from coast to coast. We acted like pusillanimous cretins rather than the heirs of Patrick Henry, who’s undoubtedly spinning in his grave fast enough to power all of Virginia over this embarrassment.

The survivors of the Holocaust made a mantra out of the saying “Never again.” The great majority of us wouldn’t even speak our minds for fear of ostracism, demonization, and unemployment. And over what? A disease that’s proved less dangerous than ordinary influenza! A disease that has hardly any effect on the populations most oppressed and disadvantaged by the lockdowns – our minor children!

No. Do not forgive. To forgive would be to accept that our oppressors’ hypothetical “good intentions” should exonerate them for their totalitarian conduct. To forgive would be to “understand” cowardice instead of reproving it as it deserves.

To forgive would be to forget. The two are never separated by much.

Amen, brother. The panic-ninnies and ostracizers can burn for all me. This I vow: NEVER to forget. NEVER to forgive. Ms Oster can go look for her scapegrace absolution someplace else, she’ll find none here.

“The Flight 93 Election” revisited

The Biden junta has vindicated Michael Anton’s brilliant, prescient, and justly renowned “Flight 93” essay. Not that it needed any; the piece acted as its own vindication, more than adequately so. But still.

Anti-Constitution insurrectionists have seized the American cockpit, and they must be stopped even if that requires electing a polarized Donald Trump, wrote social critic Michael Anton in 2016 under a pseudonym.

“The Flight 93 Election” set off an internet storm. The late, great Rush Limbaugh read almost all of it to his audience of Republican base voters soon after it came out, giving them assurance that not everyone on the right hated their candidate after an ugly primary battle in which no less than National Review published a cover essay collection titled “Against Trump.”

Anton was as reviled as he predicted in the essay. But now, six years later, Trump’s four years of governance and the Biden administration’s willfully malicious reign has vindicated the overall accuracy of Anton’s analysis.

Anton said the U.S. administrative state’s gradual replacement of constitutional self-government has metastasized into a national emergency, an argument American conservatives have been developing for more than 100 years. The essay justified a vote for Trump based on his platform against open borders, endless foreign war, and trading our economic advantages to China.

Trump was a wild card, Anton noted, but every other Republican candidate had no idea what time it is, so we’ll have to play the wild and see what happens. The alternative was certain political suicide.

2016 is the Flight 93 election: charge the cockpit or you die. You may die anyway. You — or the leader of your party — may make it into the cockpit and not know how to fly or land the plane. There are no guarantees.

Except one: if you don’t try, death is certain. To compound the metaphor: a Hillary Clinton presidency is Russian Roulette with a semi-auto. With Trump, at least you can spin the cylinder and take your chances.

He was right. Nothing backs that truth so much as the Biden presidency. It is, as Clinton’s would have been, a third term for Barack Obama, which is to say another four years of planned national demolition and the astonishing expansion of unlimited government, which is to say tyranny. The evidence is more visible now than it was in 2016, and those who tried to un-person Anton over his arguments owe him, and the country, an apology.

Yet another thing nobody should be holding their breath awaiting. The piece goes on from there to a lengthy list of then-impending man-caused national disasters foreseen by Anton with perfect clarity and accuracy. The whole article is fantastic, out of which this next ‘graph is my own personal fave:

If we can’t make Americans out of Afghans in their native country, how can we pretend we can make Americans out of Afghans, Somalis, and Guatemalans flooding the failing institutions of a wildly polarized United States? We can’t even make Americans out of most of the people who are born here. Trump was the only person willing to even talk about this supremely important public concern.

Bold mine, because…well, I mean, YEAH. You know what you must do, Glasshoppah. Myself, I think it’s high time I went back and read Anton’s outstanding piece again, for the first time in many a moon.

Update! Yep, “Flight 93” remains at least as gripping—as trenchant, as apposite—now as I remember it being back when it first appeared, probably even more so. Herewith, an appetizer—which, as Cartman informed us, is what you eat before you eat to make you more hungry.

If conservatives are right about the importance of virtue, morality, religious faith, stability, character and so on in the individual; if they are right about sexual morality or what came to be termed “family values”; if they are right about the importance of education to inculcate good character and to teach the fundamentals that have defined knowledge in the West for millennia; if they are right about societal norms and public order; if they are right about the centrality of initiative, enterprise, industry, and thrift to a sound economy and a healthy society; if they are right about the soul-sapping effects of paternalistic Big Government and its cannibalization of civil society and religious institutions; if they are right about the necessity of a strong defense and prudent statesmanship in the international sphere—if they are right about the importance of all this to national health and even survival, then they must believe—mustn’t they?—that we are headed off a cliff.

But it’s quite obvious that conservatives don’t believe any such thing, that they feel no such sense of urgency, of an immediate necessity to change course and avoid the cliff. A recent article by Matthew Continetti may be taken as representative—indeed, almost written for the purpose of illustrating the point. Continetti inquires into the “condition of America” and finds it wanting. What does Continetti propose to do about it? The usual litany of “conservative” “solutions,” with the obligatory references to decentralization, federalization, “civic renewal,” and—of course!—Burke. Which is to say, conservatism’s typical combination of the useless and inapt with the utopian and unrealizable. Decentralization and federalism are all well and good, and as a conservative, I endorse them both without reservation. But how are they going to save, or even meaningfully improve, the America that Continetti describes? What can they do against a tidal wave of dysfunction, immorality, and corruption? “Civic renewal” would do a lot of course, but that’s like saying health will save a cancer patient. A step has been skipped in there somewhere. How are we going to achieve “civic renewal”? Wishing for a tautology to enact itself is not a strategy.

Continetti trips over a more promising approach when he writes of “stress[ing] the ‘national interest abroad and national solidarity at home’ through foreign-policy retrenchment, ‘support to workers buffeted by globalization,’ and setting ‘tax rates and immigration levels’ to foster social cohesion.” That sounds a lot like Trumpism. But the phrases that Continetti quotes are taken from Ross Douthat and Reihan Salam, both of whom, like Continetti, are vociferously—one might even say fanatically—anti-Trump. At least they, unlike Kesler, give Trump credit for having identified the right stance on today’s most salient issues. Yet, paradoxically, they won’t vote for Trump whereas Kesler hints that he will. It’s reasonable, then, to read into Kesler’s esoteric endorsement of Trump an implicit acknowledgment that the crisis is, indeed, pretty dire. I expect a Claremont scholar to be wiser than most other conservative intellectuals, and I am relieved not to be disappointed in this instance.

Yet we may also reasonably ask: What explains the Pollyanna-ish declinism of so many others? That is, the stance that Things-Are-Really-Bad—But-Not-So-Bad-that-We-Have-to-Consider-Anything-Really-Different! The obvious answer is that they don’t really believe the first half of that formulation. If so, like Chicken Little, they should stick a sock in it. Pecuniary reasons also suggest themselves, but let us foreswear recourse to this explanation until we have disproved all the others.

Whatever the reason for the contradiction, there can be no doubt that there is a contradiction. To simultaneously hold conservative cultural, economic, and political beliefs—to insist that our liberal-left present reality and future direction is incompatible with human nature and must undermine society—and yet also believe that things can go on more or less the way they are going, ideally but not necessarily with some conservative tinkering here and there, is logically impossible.

Let’s be very blunt here: if you genuinely think things can go on with no fundamental change needed, then you have implicitly admitted that conservatism is wrong. Wrong philosophically, wrong on human nature, wrong on the nature of politics, and wrong in its policy prescriptions. Because, first, few of those prescriptions are in force today. Second, of the ones that are, the left is busy undoing them, often with conservative assistance. And, third, the whole trend of the West is ever-leftward, ever further away from what we all understand as conservatism.

If your answer—Continetti’s, Douthat’s, Salam’s, and so many others’—is for conservatism to keep doing what it’s been doing—another policy journal, another article about welfare reform, another half-day seminar on limited government, another tax credit proposal—even though we’ve been losing ground for at least a century, then you’ve implicitly accepted that your supposed political philosophy doesn’t matter and that civilization will carry on just fine under leftist tenets. Indeed, that leftism is truer than conservatism and superior to it.

If you somehow missed The Flight 93 Election back when it originally appeared, then I urge you—nay, I implore you, I beseech you—to hie thee thither to rectify that deficiency without delay. I assure you, you’ll be glad you did.

(Un)Righteous retribution

Is it civilizational self-defense, or state-sanctioned murder?

Here’s the thing – a civilization that cannot come up with the moral testicularity to execute a creature who murders over a dozen of its children is a civilization in serious trouble. The minimum standard for any culture that intends on surviving – and surviving means dealing with the barbarians within and without – is to take its own side in the fight for survival. Eventually, there will be a backlash. The only question is how ugly it will be.

This injustice in the Sunshine State – appropriately deplored by Governor DeSantis – is a symptom of the larger problem. You see it manifested across our culture – suicidal tolerance and performative forgiveness. In places like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and other blue cities – it is always blue cities – the inhabitants murder each other with glee. But more than that, they generally act like savages. We have all seen the videos. Random creeps menacing citizens on the subways, packs of thugs raiding convenience stores or shopping malls, pitched battles between groups of aspiring Einsteins in Walmarts, animals cold-cocking citizens who are simply minding their own business. But no one stops them. No one holds them to account. The cops’ shrug, because the blue politicians have told them to stand down. The answer to those of us who protest is always the same – shut up, racist, and also give us your guns so that you cannot defend yourself from what the government refuses to suppress.

And then there is the spectacle of family members of murder victims “forgiving” the criminals as if forgiveness was a simple act and not a process that demands action by the person being forgiven. This bizarre misunderstanding of Christianity is mixed with what seems to be a desire to front to the world as somehow enlightened – “I want to announce that I forgive the barbarians who raped and murdered my daughter. They did not repent, they did not seek forgiveness, and they have not yet been punished, but I’ll do it now anyway. Look at me.” Not that you want to take theological hints from a guy who grew up a Californian Methodist, but the forgiveness of God does not just manifest out of the blue; the one receiving grace needs to take steps to obtain it. These moral posers – and it is posing, sad and horrifying, but posing nonetheless – demand nothing to obtain forgiveness, so the forgiveness they offer is meaningless narcissism.

Yes, in case you are wondering, I am criticizing the family members of rape and murder victims who refuse to demand justice. Their moral voguing is perpetuating a paradigm where more people’s kids die. Forgive those who seek forgiveness; don’t hand it out as moral welfare and be shocked to find a society full of moral welfare bums.

Oh, and forgiveness does not mean letting them out of jail.

I must confess to being of two minds regarding the death penalty issue, and have always been. On the one hand, yes, there are certainly people who need killing among us, and I do get Schlichter’s strong conviction that civilization cannot long survive without defending itself against the wanton brutality of such ogres. Then again, though, I also have serious reservations about the State’s ability to handle this most grave of matters responsibly, competently, and correctly. As Divemedic concisely says:

This story is why I remain opposed to the death penalty in practice. You can’t trust anyone in our “justice system.” Even with a confession.

The guy spent 35 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit before his conviction was overturned. The cop who got his conviction was using questionable tactics to secure confessions for years.

And this is but a single case, out of literally hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of them. It’s been estimated that anywhere between 46,000 and 230,000 innocent people have been incarcerated due to a wrongful-conviction rate which hovers between 2 to 10 percent. Given what we all already know about how incompetent, ruthless, and untrustworthy government, at any level, all too often is—much less how thoroughly tainted and dysfunctional the American “justice” system has proven itself to be just in recent years—can any of us be too terribly comfortable with granting it the power of life and death over us? Can we AFFORD to be?

Return of the desaparecido

Put nothing whatever past these vile, perfidious enemies of all humanity.

An award-winning ABC News investigative reporter who was working on a book about President Joe Biden’s disastrous pullout from Afghanistan has not been seen in months after his apartment was raided by the FBI reportedly in connection with having classified material on his computer.

Rolling Stone broke the story about 52-year-old James Gordon Meek, an Emmy-winning journalist, on Tuesday. Meek was also former senior counterterrorism adviser and investigator for the House Homeland Security Committee.

The FBI conducted a pre-dawn raid on his upscale apartment in Arlington, Virginia, back in April and he has not been seen since.

The publication claims that sources familiar with matter said that he was the target of a federal investigation and that the FBI allegedly found classified information on his laptop during the raid.

None of Meek’s neighbors have seen him since the raid, the report said. “He fell off the face of the Earth,” one neighbor said, noting that they’ve asked around, “but no one knew the answer.”

The report said that it was unclear what story Meeks could have been working on that would’ve led to the raid, but it noted that the entire situation was “even stranger” because Meeks was finishing a book titled, “Operation Pineapple Express: The Incredible Story of a Group of Americans Who Undertook One Last Mission and Honored a Promise in Afghanistan.”

Lt. Col. Scott Mann, who was co-authoring the book, said that he got a call from Meeks earlier this year indicating that something was going on.

“He contacted me in the spring, and was really distraught, and told me that he had some serious personal issues going on and that he needed to withdraw from the project,” Mann said. “As a guy who’s a combat veteran who has seen that kind of strain — I don’t know what it was — I honored it. And he went on his way, and I continued on the project.”

Just par for the usual course, an unremarkable and quite ordinary part of life under an authoritarian central government gone rogue. JJ elaborates:

Maybe it’s just me but this Merrick Garland chap is coming across more and more as rather a dislikable fellow, nein?

It’s bad enough when the FBI/DOJ at the behest of the Deep State sabotage an election (Miranda Devine’s waiting for an apology is risible unless she’s being sarcastic) then stage a Reichstag Fire (Godwin, drink!) phony “insurrection” to entrap innocent law-abiding protesters and hold them as political prisoners to preserve the illusion that 2020 was legitimate and anyone who says otherwise is on the verge of being labeled “a clear and present danger” to America.

We’ve now already seen that reliably leftist organizations like the National Association of School Boards colluded with the White House to have uppity parents identified by the DOJ as potential terrorists for objecting at school board meetings to the mental and physical abuse of their children and demanding change. We know that corrupt organizations like the ACLU and SPLC gin up phony stats (as if they had to) that perpetuate the myth of a vast white supremacist organization — comprised solely of millions of conservative and Republican voters — set to overthrow the government, which in turn the DOJ uses as a casus belli and political cover to oppress dissent.

So now, an investigative reporter who dares write a book that is critical if not an actual exposé of the Biden junta’s disastrous Afghanistan bug-out debacle “vanished off the face of the earth” months ago, without a trace. Can you say “nacht und nebel?”

If I were a betting man, I’d say if this story gains traction, Meek will be found dead, buck naked (except for a MAGA hat) in a seedy French hotel, surrounded by two dead catamites along with a suitcase full of documents linking him either to the Mossad or the Saudi intelligence services. The photos will resemble that of the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid. The cherry on top will be abject criminal scumbags like Peter Strzok spouting the party line that Meek was trafficking in phony disinformation. A “dossier” if you will.

Myself, I’d bet they’ve offed him already, and they’ll get away scot-free with it, too. There’s also been speculation here and there that Meek has actually gone into hiding, which would be the closest facsimile of a happy ending one ever gets in a tyranny as soulless, depraved, and morally bankrupt as Amerika v2.0 damned sure us. One thing we know for absolute certain: Americans can never again lay a remotely credible claim to being “free” as long as the FBI still exists, and remains perfectly free to run amok amongst its political foes without constraint.

There’s no doubt that the globalists and their national henchmen and henchwomen scattered across the globe are determined to wipe out as many “useless eaters,” as one member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) labeled all of us, as possible.

Actually, the “useless eaters” terminology dates a lot further back than that; it originated back in the 1920s-30s, one of many loathsome products of the truly Satanic eugenics movement.

We are useless eaters. The same useless eaters that built the oil and gas industry that’s done more to save and enrich lives across the planet than all of the green energy projects ever conceived of at present and into the thousands of years to come. This, despite the fact that they know it doesn’t work, can’t work, all of physics are against it. What little benefit there is, is wiped out by the actual environmental damage that it does. But if they save one life, while destroying a billion, they’d still claim victory, because it’s either out of a determined objective to destroy a billion useless eaters, or a level of stupidity uncalculatable by the intelligent mind.

The number of people who will die needlessly and stupidly as a result of starvation or deprivation of heat, water or power this winter due to abandoning reliable energy sources for the witchcraft of “renewables” will bogle the mind. And, it’s underway, all of the underpinnings of disaster are being sewn as we speak by those same henchmen who stood before us and declared that switching to unreliable renewable energy is for the good of humanity. But which humanity? Why, the useful eaters, of course, the ones who intend to reap the benefits of a few billion less humans. Libensraum is what Hitler called it: living space.

The whole scheme is so vast and destructive no sane person would conceive of it, it’s just too big, too many moving parts, unless the only criteria for what should be done is to destroy as much of humanity as possible and to embolden individuals with that mindset already. Just get leaders in all these nations to turn on their people, and they’ll do it for cash. Simple enough, the useful eaters have cash, we gave it to them so we could watch TV and porn on the internet.

It’s disgusting.

So, with all of that in mind is it truly ridiculous to think that Ukraine might be just a huge false flag with the intent to nuke half the world’s population? Assuming that the useful eaters have a survival plan, you know, just tactical nukes, not the big guns, right? So, who’s talking about tactical nukes? All of the leaders who willingly shoved the jab in as many arms as they could, bragging up the benefits, knowing that it was contrived to murder them.

I wish it was all madness, but madness doesn’t explain the pure evil afoot here.

No reason they can’t be both evil and mad, of course. In fact, accepting that, in the world of politics and geostrategy, the two go together like beans and cornbread is the only way to make any sense at all of the situation.

Looks like Elon Musk is getting Trumped by FederalGovCo.

A court filing made public just yesterday revealed that Elon Musk is under federal investigation related to his $44-billion takeover deal for Twitter, Inc., the social media company.

Apart from yesterday’s announcement that Musk was being investigated by the Feds, there was another bit of news.

Ian Bremmer, head of the Eurasia Group political risk consultancy, alleged that Musk had personally told him about the conversation with President Putin.

Musk denied he spoke to Putin about the intervention in Ukraine.

Federal investigation and allegations of being in contact with Putin?

Where have we heard this before?

The tone and content of the probe demands and the investigations seem reminiscent of hoaxes against Trump.

It has to be remembered that government agencies do not need any probable cause to investigate. An allegation made could be enough.

This is exactly what happened during the Trump-Russia Collusion hoax. The hoaxers couldn’t tell how Russia meddled with the 2016 elections or if votes were altered. They couldn’t cite the laws that were broken or how votes were altered. They just didn’t like the outcome of the election and were doing all they could to unseat President Trump.

The “investigators” know that every human has his limit of endurance; they probably hoped that someday Trump would think, “I am a multi-billionaire, I have a great life, I don’t need this” and walk away from politics forever.

That didn’t happen, and hence myriad baseless investigations continue to this day.

They live in hope that a breaking point will be reached. The other objective of this persecution of Trump is to prevent any other aspiring private citizen from entering politics by challenging the D.C Democrat establishment and the Deep State.

This is exactly what seems to be happening with Musk.

What liberals fear the most is any challenge to their monopoly. Musk has been championing free speech and expressing support for Republicans. Musk has been violating the D.C. Democrat groupthink over and over again and has been enjoying the free publicity he gets from being provocative and amassing a significant following for it.

It is hard to say if Musk is a real disruptor or merely addicted to publicity.

But the D.C. establishment doesn’t like challengers and dissenters.

You’d think the Deep Staters would choose easier targets to pick on than two of the wealthiest celebrities on earth, but apparently their arrogance and emboldenment is so vast as to convince them they’re both invincible and untouchable. They badly, badly need to be taught otherwise, without further ado.

Many years ago, we made sport of Iran’s Mooselimb leadership when they denounced the US as “the Great Satan,” the USSR being “the Lesser Satan.” The characterization was self-evidently absurd, nothing more than a really piss-poor joke, not a thing to be taken at all seriously. Now, though, with each new and more outrageous FederalGovCo insult to all that’s good, fair, and decent, it begins to seem as if the Mad Mullahs may have had a pretty good point after all.

Severely Abused in D.C. Jail, Jan. 6 Prisoners Ask for Transfer to Guantanamo

Is this America? Gateway Pundit recently published a letter to Gestapo chief Merrick Garland from 34 of the prisoners who are being held under inhuman conditions in the District of Columbia Jail because of their role in the Jan. 6 “insurrection.” But can these unfortunate prisoners really expect any justice from Garland, a rabid partisan and sinister authoritarian who has sicced the FBI on parents protesting the woke agenda at school board meetings? He is virtually certain to ignore the letter and allow the heartless treatment it describes to continue. In reading their description of their treatment, the question is inescapable: How can this be happening in what was once known as the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave?

In order to buttress their bogus “insurrection” narrative, Biden’s handlers have clearly decided to treat the Jan. 6 protesters, who are overwhelmingly patriotic Americans guilty of nothing more than supporting the former president and being concerned about the integrity of the 2020 election, as if they were dangerous enemies of the state. Based on the false claim that the Jan. 6 entry into the Capitol was aimed at nothing less than overthrowing the government, the Biden regime has created an American gulag and filled it with political prisoners. The prisoners wrote:

When one considers a society that distinguishes itself upon the standards of a “First World Country” allocation among the other numerous Nations around the globe, while informing its citizens that they belong to a country that ensures “Liberty and Justice for All”, it’s difficult to imagine then, that The United States of America, supposedly the wealthiest Nation on the planet, would subjugate its own citizens to that of incarceration and injustice instead, all while administering medieval standards of living to the agonizing occupants of its “Correctional Facilities”.

These Americans, whose most serious crime for the most part is trespassing, state that they “have and will continue to endure” a long list of horrors, including “Begging for Help / Water / Medical Aid / Mercy through a 4 inch by 10 inch window of cold metal doors”; “No Visitations”; “No Religious Services”; “No Attorney Access”; and “Mail delayed 3-4 months prior to delivery.” Their laundry is returned “with brown stains, pubic hair, and or reeking of ripe urine.” They have found worms in their salads at mealtime, and the food is so poor that many are now suffering from a variety of ailments. In their cells, they endure black mold, cockroaches, and mice, and are denied “basic cleaning equipment to sanitize Living Space.” They have been “Stuck in Cells for 9 days without shower.”

That isn’t even close to all of it; the prisoners even charge physical and sexual assault by the guards. They accordingly ask Garland: “We hereby request to spend our precious and limited days, should the government continue to insist on holding us captive unconstitutionally as pre-trial detainees, to be transferred and reside at Guantanamo Bay, a detention facility that actually provides nutritional meals, routine sunlight exposure, top notch medical care, is respectful of religious requirements, has centers for exercise/entertainment for its detainees despite the fact that those residents are malicious terrorists, real members of the Taliban, and few are United States Citizens, instead of remaining trapped within the wretched confines of cruel and unusual punishment of the DC Jail.”

This is not grandstanding. The few remaining prisoners at Gitmo are treated far better. Biden’s handlers have a far more positive view of the Taliban than they do of conservative Americans. It is breathtaking that anything of this kind could happen in America, and it’s an indication of how far the Biden regime is from our founding principles. But this treatment will continue: the regime needs its scapegoats, and its preposterous “insurrection” narrative, and so these unfairly persecuted people will continue to be made to pay for the crime of being in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.

It surely will. It doesn’t help any that even most Righty commentators persist in bending over backwards to publicly display their dismay and disgust at the J6 “riots,” as if “parading” in peaceable petition for redress of grievances was some kind of unforgivable, intolerable Crime Against The State, rather than the exercise of their Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

The Treasury Department inspector general confirmed in a letter to Democratic lawmakers that the agency is planning to audit whether spending by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on migrant flights was improper.

The lawmakers asked the Treasury Department to look into whether Florida improperly used American Rescue Plan funds for the migrant flights to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, which drew widespread media attention.

Florida lawmakers authorized a $12 million migrant program funded with interest earnings from the federal Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund, according to documents.

“As part of its ~~oversight responsibilities for the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund~~ campaign to deal out a good, hard smackdown to this uppity bastard and make sure he damned well knows he better stay in his proper place, OR ELSE, The Treasury Office of the Inspector General has audit work planned on recipients’ compliance with eligible use guidance,” the Office of the Inspector General wrote in a letter dated Oct. 7 and made public Wednesday.

Fixed it for ya, asshole-eyes.

Democrats’ appeal to the Treasury and the newly announced audit are only the latest in a series of attempts to push back on the Florida governor after DeSantis transported migrants from Texas to the progressive bastion of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts — a move Democrats have blasted as a “terrible idea” and a “publicity stunt.”

Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., celebrated the announcement Wednesday, taking credit for spurring the Treasury Department into action.

Yeah, because we all know how very conscientious DemonRats like this Markey turdball are about making sure FederalGovCo funds aren’t misallocated or *shudder* frittered away for no good purpose and all.

See, this is exactly why I wrote to Christina Pushaw urging her to prevail upon DeSantis The Barbarian to stay in Florida and not waste his time and effort running for President. As they did unto Trump, so they will surely do unto DeSantis. And a DeSantis under siege in the White House, like Trump was, isn’t much use to anybody; like Trump, whatever good he might accomplish can only come about by executive order. And like Trump, every bit of it will be undone before noon on January 20th after the next DemonRat usurper defrauds his way into the seat of power, as if none of it had ever even happened.

Fascism For Dummies

Know thine Leftist enemy.

It blows my mind how little many of those on the political left know about the insults they hurl at their political opponents, but when you call people fascists or compare the “We’re Number One” sign one sees when their team wins a sporting event to the Nazi salute, you show your own stupidity.

Or you show your own dishonesty, which is just as bad.

Fascism was designed as a ‘middle road’ that recognized three flaws in Marx’s model:

1) Marx’s model provided no incentive system, relying instead on the selflessness of everyone,

2) Marx viewed the communist model as being global, and while a global system may SOUND nice, nothing is implemented at that level. As such, fascism was a national, and not a global, model, and

3) Fascism was not utopian in nature, recognizing governance as a permanent fixture of any system.

The guy who invented fascism (Giovanni Gentile) was not trying to make a brand new political or economic system so much as he was trying to fix Marxism by removing its fatal flaws – primarily the lack of any incentive for anyone to work.

Giovanni Gentile was trying to take Marxism and apply the profit system – tightly controlled by the government – on top of it.

The Nazis were fascists, but they differed from other fascists in one critical area – they defined a ‘nation’ based on ethnicity rather than based on national borders. In other words, it was a very racist form of fascism.

Fascism existed all over Europe and South America before, during, and after WWII. Spain remained fascist until Franco died in the 1980s. Other than Germany, none of the fascist nations had a racist sense of ‘nationalism.’ Other than Germany, they all viewed ‘nation’ as something geographic, and when we look at the primary thing fascism tries to do, which is to have the state take control of the means of production while still allowing a state-controlled profit incentive to incentivize work – riddle me this: what modern political party does that sound like?!?

Three guesses, first two don’t etc. And if you think that’s just some kind of crazy coincidence, you don’t know your Leftists well enough. Try as they might to deceptively label fascism as a phenomenon emanating strictly from the Right, it just ain’t so. The whole mess can be summed up in one insightful sentence.

Fascism does not and cannot come from the American right, as the American right believes in limited government, individual liberty, and free markets – which are the literal opposite of what fascism calls for.

Yep, that’s about the size of it, and tells you all you’ll ever need to know about the Left. Unlimited, all-powerful government; invidious constraints on true liberty and the individual’s right to self-determination; tightly-controlled markets entirely under the thumb of government—these are the foundations on which Left ideology sits. In keeping with the Opposite Rule, under which the very thing Leftists scream most vehemently about the Right doing is exactly what they themselves are ACTUALLY doing…well, as the Good Book tells us, by their fruits ye shall know them, dig?

Who’s in charge?

At this point, the only thing we know for certain is that it damned sure ain’t Pedo Joe.

Perhaps we should be thankful. Considering inflation, energy shortages and a world teetering on the brink, maybe the less Biden is involved, the better.

All of which were brought on by the Biden marionette’s handlers. Which means that statement applies equally to them, too.

To understand what’s happening, it’s best not to think of this as a Biden Presidency, but a Biden Regency.

The term was regularly used in the age of kings and empires. If an 8-year-old princess was placed on the throne or an incapable king couldn’t perform his duties, one or several regents would handle the day-to-day operations.

In like manner, Biden is surrounded with longtime D.C. power players, such as Ron Klain, Susan Rice, Anita Dunn, John Podesta, Gene Sperling – a veritable “who’s who” of Beltway knife fights and insider skullduggery. Throughout their long careers, they’ve never sought credit or voter approval. Just power.

And the less Joe is around, the more their regency can accomplish.

Which ain’t a good thing, for anybody.

These competing power centers explain the contradictory policies coming out of the Oval Office these days. Aggressively pushing a new Iran Nuclear Deal while Russia buys Iranian drones to fight Ukrainians. When there’s no one to say “the buck stops here,” the bucks turn up in pretty strange places.

It reminds me of the confusing end of Woodrow Wilson’s presidency. For his last 18 months in office, he was incapacitated with a stroke. First lady Edith Wilson and a handful of confidantes covered it up and ran the country themselves.

As with Wilson, historians will one day explain the Biden Regency more fully. But someone is running the country, and not very well.

How sure can we be of even that much, really? The Leviathan-state has become so massive, so ubiquitous, so many-fingered and multi-tentacled, that it begins to look more and more as if the infernal machine is essentially running on autopilot, an overcrowded clown car with a brick on the accelerator pedal coasting down into the ditch under its own power with nobody at the wheel. That could also account for those contradictory, nonsensical, and self-defeating policies easily enough, about as well as anything else does. But no, it definitely ain’t Grampy Gropey steering this thing; for one thing, he’s too old, senile, and decrepit to drive. Compare, contrast.

Is society becoming Balkanized? Hell, yes!

That’s the half-right part.

Now, stop playing checkers, and think for five seconds about what happens after that.

How did Balkanization work out in 1776?

How about in 1845 in Texas?

Or 1849 in California?

How about 1861 in the South?

How did it work out for the Balkans themselves in 1939?

South Korea in 1950?

South Vietnam in 1960?

Ukraine since 2000?

Even the stupidest slow learner ought to be able to buy a clue here.

To work (assuming it ever can, which I think is a fool’s errand, but we’ll grant it arguendo for the moment), all parties have to be willing to accept the status quo.

Yep. And, parasitical Lefty shitwits aside for the moment, there’s another party to this discussion sitting at the table, the one my compatriots leave out, the one that has more weight to throw around than the others combined: FederalGovCo.

Yeah, yeah, peaceful partition, secession, whatever you prefer to call it, might indeed be a fine thing, at least in theory. But there are a few things we should all bear closely in mind, whether we’re for it or ag’in it:

No matter how passionately one advocates for some form of national divorce, no matter how logical or reasonable the arguments assembled in its favor, it just ain’t happening. It’s preposterous on the very face of it.

Which is not necessarily to say that the secession fantasy can never become reality. There’s one, and only one, way it might, and even then you’ll still have the rage-fueled, hate-driven, batshit-crazy Left to deal with.

You’re still going to have to shoot sumbitches in the face, long past the point you’re sick of it, and they still won’t leave you alone, not ever, until there aren’t any of them left. Look at what happened in Rhodesia. Look at what’s going on in South Africa. Look at Israel. You can’t build the fences high enough to make people who want to kill you stop trying. And there’s no where left to run. You’ll have to hunt them down and exterminate them to bring that happy moment to fruition. Waiting for the knock at the door is planning to fail.

Ayup, that’s about the size of it. Barring some heretofore unlooked-for, near-total FederalGovCo collapse—unimaginable until just recently, but looking more plausible of late—severe enough to force it to retract its claws, relax its stranglehold, and reconsider its consuming lust for total control and limitless power, the only way prospective breakaway states can hope to achieve true independence is through a major conflagration. As things now stand, FederalGovCo will NOT blithely step aside and “allow them to depart in peace.”

WHO’S the authoritarian again, now?

The incomparable John Hayward, a/k/a Doc Zero lays down some more of his usual 120-octane, big-T Truth for us.

For all the howling about Trump’s “authoritarian tendencies,” there is no question whatsoever that Americans were more free during his term, and it’s a safe bet they would become more free if he runs and defeats Joe Biden in 2024.

This is one reason the NeverTrumpers can’t connect with any significant portion of the Republican electorate. They’re getting real authoritarianism shoved down their throats right now. The Dems just stole another trillion dollars from them with a fraud “inflation reduction” bill.

All of the money Democrats stole will be devoted to cracking down on the American people, reducing their freedoms, taking more of their money away, forcibly reducing their “carbon footprints” by making their lives worse, and pushing collectivist ideology.

We’re living in a time when fascist government/corporate speech control partnerships are the order of the day. The ruling party doesn’t even try all that hard to disguise its censorship orders to corporate lackeys. Meanwhile, the bureaucracy is utterly weaponized against us.

A growing number of issues are taken out of our hands. We’re told we’re no longer allowed to vote on matters “settled” by “expert consensus.” The bureaucracy we never get to vote against, which can fight back against even our elected representatives, grows bigger and richer.

Trump didn’t do those things to us. He wasn’t thinking about ways to make the American people smaller by making the State bigger. He wasn’t busy weaponizing every federal office to go after his enemies. Frankly, he didn’t pay *enough* attention to the Permanent State.

It’s a sad commentary on our corrupt system that you have to put a Republican in the White House if you want adversarial media coverage, or bureaucratic checks and balances against executive power. At least the growth of authoritarianism slows a little.

But Trump deserves more credit than just being flummoxed by a system that didn’t want his hand on the levers of authoritarian power. He didn’t devote his administration to attacking and subjugating the American people, like Biden does. He didn’t try to make us smaller.

He didn’t work from the assumption that every problem in America is the fault of its damnable people, the way Dems do. He wasn’t obsessed with creating a punitive State or putting America last on the world stage. He didn’t have the contempt for us that pumps the Left’s blood.

He most certainly didn’t. And that carries a hidden irony along with it. Trump’s unalterable belief in the fundamental righteousness of America and his faith in the essential decency of her people are simultaneously both appealing…and a YUUUGE factor in his downfall.

The Administrative State Moves To Show Who’s Boss On Energy Policy
Last Thursday, June 30, the Supreme Court issued its decision in West Virginia v. EPA, holding that, absent a further explicit statute from the Congress, the EPA did not have the authority to orchestrate its planned fundamental restructuring of the electric power generation sector of the economy. More generally, the Supreme Court stated that in cases involving “major questions,” including regulations that affect large portions of the economy, the government must demonstrate “clear congressional authorization” to support a sweeping effort to regulate.

Do you think that such a Supreme Court decision might cause the various regulatory bureaucracies to slow down and reconsider a little before plowing ahead with other dubious plans for fundamental economic restructurings? That’s not how these bureaucracies work. And such is most particularly the case with regard to regulators of the energy sector, sometimes known as “climate change” arena, where the bureaucrats are burning with a righteous religious fervor that they believe entitles them to cast the evil sinners into the fires of hell.

And thus, contemporaneous with the Supreme Court’s decision, several agencies promptly doubled down on efforts to strangle the oil and gas industries with regulatory restrictions, essentially daring the courts or anyone else to stop them. Thousands of pages of statutes give them thousands of arguments to claim they have the “clear congressional authorization,” any one of which arguments might stick. They are now out to show who’s boss.

EPA Administrator Michael Regan wasted no time in getting a statement out on the afternoon of June 30. Excerpt:

[W]e are committed to using the full scope of EPA’s authorities to protect communities and reduce the pollution that is driving climate change…EPA will move forward with lawfully setting and implementing environmental standards that meet our obligation to protect all people and all communities from environmental harm.

In other words, we will just have to find other ways to implement the restrictions that we want to implement.

Oh, I can think of at least one really good one right offhand, although things might get a little messy, so to speak, before all’s said and done. Alas, the EPA is hardly alone in their lawless defiance of the Supreme Court. That’s life under a power-drunk government gone rogue, believing itself to be above all sanction, restriction, or oversight.

One can only stand back in slack-jawed wonder at the sheer, unmitigated gall of the EPA’s brandishing of the word “lawfully” up there, waving it in our faces like a billy-club even as they’re so arrogantly disregarding its meaning. All under the holy “climate change” rubric, natch; honestly, is there ANYTHING it can’t do at this point?

That’s typical of bureaucrats, of course. Don’t like a Supreme Court ruling? Defy it. Circumvent it with every paper-shuffling, buck-passing trick at your disposal. Deny, delay, obfuscate. Ignore complaints. It’s not just Democrat administrations that do it, either. The entrenched bureaucracy that implements (?) the decisions of every administration (the so-called “Deep State”) plus the political appointees of every President have always sought ways to do what they want to do, rather than what they should do or what the law says they must do. Lincoln’s abrogation of the right of habeas corpus comes to mind, to cite just one example.

I don’t know what can be done about this. The courts, up to and including the Supreme Court, can issue rulings and injunctions for all they’re worth; but if the powers that be are determined to ignore or circumvent them, there’s no immediate remedy for that. The rule of law is already honored more in the breach than in the observance in many ways in these formerly United States. Nowadays, it all too often depends on one’s politics to determine whether or not the law will operate in one’s favor.

Just don’t expect the Biden administration to be bound by the rule of law, or the decision of courts of law, from the lowest to the highest. It’s partisan in the extreme, and ruthless in its determination to do whatever it wants to achieve its objectives. It won’t be stopped by laws or lawsuits. It’ll need stronger measures than mere words.

Indeed it will. As the filthy bastards go from bad to worse to worse still, they make those “stronger measures” look less dreadful and more and more appealing.

The long and the short of it

Divemedic ain’t having any of that EV bushwa.

This is why I won’t buy an electric pickup (or any electric vehicle): the new electric F-150 only has a 100 mile range when towing.

Actually, I’m shocked that it’s even capable of towing at all, whether for 300 miles or 300 feet.

Part of owning a vehicle of any type, what makes it such an American experience is that owning a vehicle is freedom. Freedom to go where you want. Electric vehicles with 300 miles or less of range take that from you, tethering you to a short distance from your home. The quintessential American road trip will cease to exist if electric cars become the norm. A part of America will die with the automobile.

That’s the whole idea, natch. At the end of the day, the shitlibs’ determination to hang the EV albatros around American necks isn’t about efficiency, pollution, Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly “the weather”), saving Gaia, or anything else. It’s about freedom, see—they hate it like the cancer, can’t abide the thought of anybody having any, and will go to any and every conceivable length to put a stop to it forever.
