Question everything

The imperative of our era.

There is no problem in the United States that could not be solved if we were still a nation of critical thinkers.  But critical thinking has been intentionally replaced by dogma.  Having a degree is not equivalent to having an education.  Knowing something is not the same as understanding it.  In a world saturated with information, the “key” to distinguishing between truth and falsehood is one question, one word: “why?”

Why should schools and companies discriminate based on skin color? Why should my race say more about me than my brain? Why is it okay for federal immigration law to be ignored while federal tax laws must be obeyed? Why are Americans who defend the Constitution treated as domestic terrorists? Why are Americans who burn down cities treated as heroes? Why does every “solution” to climate change involve the expansion of government powers and the contraction of personal liberties? Why must the government police speech in order to keep it free? Why must government disarm citizens in order to keep them safe? Why is the government so afraid of the people that it must spy on them at all times? Why is it no longer “our government,” but rather the government?

Are those questions dangerous in a “free” society? Of course not. They lead to discussion, which leads to debate, which leads to contemplation, which leads to greater understanding, which creates a more perceptive mind, a more capable American, and a more complete human being. When government deems some questions subversive, it is admitting that it no longer represents the people, but rather rules over them. And any public school system that replaces the tools necessary for developing critical thinking skills with rigid indoctrination countenancing no dissent is producing not healthy citizens, but useful slaves.

The great philosopher George Carlin used to say, “Don’t just teach your children to read[.]…Teach them to question what they read. Teach them to question everything.” That’s how real learning is done — in the trenches with one hand on a flashlight searching for knowledge and the other gripping a shovel, digging up the oft-buried truth. Carlin also knew that when it comes to truth, governments cannot be trusted: “I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me.” If more Americans could learn this simple principle, our society would be in a much better place. Free people with free minds do not need politicians to do their thinking for them.

The science is settled? The time for debate is over? Never. Only people interested in stealing your agency and capturing your soul say such things. It is our capacity for reason that makes each of us distinct and our distinctive qualities that make each human life individually valuable. When government deems individual minds unnecessary, then individual lives become disposable. That’s when governments do great evil.

Ahh, but what about when government deems individual minds not just unnecessary, but an active, credible threat to their own designs? What’s to be done about government then?

“It’s a race to the bottom when brutality reigns”

Civilization vs savagery.

A morality that confers “rights” on mobs and strips those of an individual is the morality of savages. Maxine Waters is a savage, but so too are the members of the Minneapolis City Council who agreed to pay George Floyd’s estate $27 million before Chauvin’s trial had begun, the judge who recognized the prejudicial unfairness of Waters’ inflammatory statements but passed the buck for doing anything about it to the appellate courts, and the political, media, and celebrity jackals from Joe Biden on down who’ve been howling for Chauvin’s conviction since Floyd’s death.

The trial for Derek Chauvin and the lack of one for the Capitol Hill policeman (name still unknown) are another reminder—not that any are needed—that savages aren’t fair. It’s pathetic and ludicrous to expect an appellate court to grant Chauvin a new trial, although it would have ample grounds to do so in anything resembling a fair judicial system.

It’s like saying, “Wait until 22 and 24!” or, “Wait until the Arizona vote audit!” after last year’s blatant election theft. The savages have instituted corrupt arrangements that will enshrine their power in perpetuity. Expecting them to tolerate anything that would jeopardize those arrangements is like expecting water to run uphill. Fair or even quasi-fair elections would threaten their power. They are, like fair trials, but a memory.

Savages beget savagery and nothing else, until they are stopped or they stop themselves. Don’t count on them recognizing the production—a civilized and thereby forbidden act—and the producers—civilized and thereby forbidden people—that keep them fed and alive. And don’t count on them not making your weaponry, your last line of defense, a use it or lose it proposition.

They recognize no limits, certainly not the constraints imposed by reality. They may have to lay waste to the world before whomever remains of the honest and productive realize that their lives are a defend them or die proposition. For decades, America’s rulers and their accomplices have said about the enemies of the day: they only understand force. It’s projection, ascribing to others one’s own motivations. They’ve dressed it up in all sorts of verbiage, from Make the World Safe for Democracy to We’re All In This Together, but force is what they understand and to which they’ll always resort. The only thing that will stop them is superior force more competently wielded.

Abandon your mind and life is one big scary mystery. In their perpetual, pervasive fear of everything, savages will always respond to superior force. The civilized are abandoning savage strongholds, seeking refuge in states that still demonstrate a vestigial respect for individual rights, the font of civilization. These aren’t nirvanas of freedom, but they’re better than what’s left behind.

Live and let live are not options for savages; they have to prey on someone. The migrants may find relief in their new locales, but unless they’re prepared to defend them that relief will prove temporary. Having run out of victims at home, the savages will invade, plunder, and destroy any place that maintains a modicum of freedom, production, prosperity, and civilization.

Unless their would-be victims repel them.

Which demands full and frank acknowledgment of one inescapable fact, however unpleasant: the only effective way the savages among us can be repelled is by means of force and violence. Anything else is no more than a float down the river of Denial, idle thumbsuckery and self-deception. No, it ain’t pleasant. But that doesn’t make it any less true.

Thug life

A “mostly peaceful” shooting.

A Black Lives Matter leader was critically injured in a shooting at a gathering in Southwark, south London early Sunday morning.

27-year-old Sasha Johnson was shot in the head and is currently hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Aww, what a shame.

According to British media, the police say that so far there is no evidence to suggest Johnson was a victim of a targeted shooting.

BLM activists however are claiming she was shot for her political activism.

Here’s footage of Sasha Johnson calling for a revolution and saying ‘the police is no different from the KKK.’

“I promise you, I don’t threaten. Come out there-let’s live through the promise,” Johnson told someone challenging her radical views.

By all means, vile racist Commie bitch—let’s.

How liberty is lost

It’s always a mistake to accept their premises.

Last week, the Centers for Disease Control did an about-face, announcing that the fully vaccinated among us may resume normal activities. The news came more than a year after California initiated the first lockdown on March 19, 2020.

The CDC’s new posture comes with some narrow exceptions. If you’re traveling on a plane or find yourself in a homeless shelter or in a medical or correctional facility, you still need to wear a mask; and the CDC made sure to clarify, apparently out of great deference for federalism and Hayekian spontaneous order, that its guidance does not predominate over the requirements of federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

Before the CDC updated its pandemic guidance, this was exactly the position espoused by libertarian law professor Ilya Somin of George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia School of Law. Writing from his regular perch at the legal blog The Volokh Conspiracy, Somin’s argument is summarized nicely in the subheading of his piece, “Free the Vaccinated from COVID Restrictions”: “Doing so will protect constitutional rights, reduce vaccine hesitancy, and increase liberty—all at once.”

The CDC’s shift undoubtedly is a welcome development, all things considered. But people like Somin could not be more misguided in supporting it as a matter of best practice. In doing so, they ratify a pernicious principle that has the potential to destroy our long-term freedom. Instead of reasoning from first principles, Somin works from within a techno-scientific, experts-know-best framework that, unsurprisingly, constrains his thinking and directs him to validate the public health bureaucracy’s authority and priorities. One need only examine what accepting the totality of the CDC’s guidance would truly mean to see the short-sightedness of Somin’s position.

That the CDC, or any other institution, would presume to strip us of our God-given natural liberty to buy groceries or see a play or play with our children in a park, all in the name of some dubious goal of “public health,” and then purport to “return” our rights—but only if we jump through a vaccine-related hoop—is a grievous affront to the salutary legal revolution brought on by the birth of America that Jaffa identified. We are being ordered to accept the submerged premise of the CDC’s new position, namely, that we are free to do only what the government explicitly permits us to do. Sadly, a great many Americans are only too willing to comply.

It is deeply shameful that we let a virus with a roughly 1.8 percent death rate upend completely our society’s habits, customs, practices, mores, and ways of thinking about the interaction of law and liberty and the legitimate domain and reach of each. (Recall that SARS had a 14-15 percent death rate, and we did not feel compelled to shut down the country for over a year.)

Actually, it wasn’t a virus that did it. The Left was allowed to “upend our thinking about liberty” many decades ago, transitioning (ahem) far too many of us from stout, indendent citizens to simpering dependents content to suckle at Mommy Government’s flabby teat forever. After that “fundamental transformation” was accomplished, pulling off the Covid coup de grace was simplicity itself, practically a fait accompli.

A virus of the mind

Doc Z explains why Zombie Communism won’t ever just lie down and stay dead.

Conservatives of my generation made the terrible mistake of believing Marxism was fatally discredited with the fall of the Soviet Union, and only a few aging freaks in campus faculty still took it seriously. We weren’t ready for the next wave of the mind-virus and its variants.

It was an easy mistake to make. How could people cling to an ideology that spread death, poverty, and failure around the world, once its primary nation-state supporter lay in ruins – its claims of success across the decades exposed as lies, its victims celebrating their freedom?

How could so many people ignore the hideous history of Marxism and continue to believe THIS time it will work, THIS time all the bugs have been ironed out, THIS time the right people are finally in charge? Forgive my generation for thinking the horror was finally over.

Marxism persists because it IS a virus. It was designed that way – give the old devil and his disciples credit for being ahead of the curve in realizing that an ideology could be custom-tailored to propagate itself endlessly, without needing any nourishment from success.

Every single aspect of Marxist theory is designed to protect and perpetuate the ideology no matter how badly it fails, most notably including the elements of every Marxist ideology that justify the use of violence against those who threaten it, or refuse to submit to its demands.

An ideology that asserts dissent from its principles in good faith is impossible – making dissent a sin punishable by loss of rights, confiscation of property, imprisonment, torture, or death – is well on its way to insulating itself against any degree of objective failure.

The most viral element of Marxism, the DNA that carries over into all its mutations, is the elimination of individual responsibility – the promise of “justice” and “entitlement” achieved through collective power. Every strain of Marxism tells adherents they have been exploited.

This is reflected in the core economic assumption of Marxism: capitalism “exploits” workers and “steals” the value of their labor. All of Marxism’s misery and bloody horror, all of the failure and brutal civil warfare it spreads through societies it infects, flows from this idea.

Never again should any defender of freedom underestimate the seductive viral appeal of these ideas, especially to young minds. Marxism is a vision of society run like a big family. It appeals to kids from good families…and those who desperately WISH they had good families.

Marxism flatters envy and transforms it into a virtue. It offers a regimented vision of society that appears logical once its (entirely false) basic premises are accepted. It claims to makes sense of a senseless and unjust world – very appealing to the young and alienated.

Most importantly, Marxism lifts the burden of individual responsibility from its acolytes. “Socializing” costs and consequences, classifying all misfortune as “exploitation,” dividing people into static classes at war with each other – it all says nothing is YOUR fault.

Every strain of Marxism tells its victims that they can never hope to find success, fairness, justice, equity – whatever euphemism becomes fashionable after the old ones wear out – on their own.

Gee, sounds exactly like what Democrat-Socialists have told American Nigras for years and years now, so as to keep them forever on the Donk plantation, almost word for word. Pure coinkydink, I’m guessing.

But I must remind one and all that, contra the general assumption, Marxism has NOT “failed every time it’s been tried.” Sure, it hasn’t worked—CANNOT work—according to the usual definition for the word. But as Hayward’s essay tacitly confirms, that’s predicated on a premise that is false. As I argued the other night, our metric for what constitutes success and failure must be recalibrated, putting ourselves back in line with the stark reality that Marxism has enjoyed an unbroken string of successes when it comes to realizing the true goals of the despots who implement and then rule under it. I repeat: it all depends on what the meaning of “success” is.

As American as motherhood and apple pie

My GOD, but Leftists are such grim, joyless, juiceless prigs. Miserable, twisted people, the whole lot of ’em.

Food injustice has deep roots: let’s start with America’s apple pie

Oh, by all means, let’s.

In the drama of nationalist culture, the bloody and international origins of the apple pie are subject to a collective amnesia. In the imagining of American community, the dish is transformed into a symbol of domesticity. By 1910, it’s possible for a theatre review to celebrate a wholesome play, “as American as apple pie”.

Guardian readers ought by now to be familiar with the exercise of undoing the commodity fetish. Scratch the surface of a bar of chocolate, a tuna sandwich, or even a chicken nugget, and you find the horrors of international trade: violence, exploitation, poverty and profit. Capitalist logic is everywhere the same, but countries are capitalist in their own ways. The apple pie is as American as stolen land, wealth and labour. We live its consequences today.

The history of the US food system has always, however, been one of struggle. “Food justice” is a term that is intelligible only because oppressed and exploited communities have organized for redress against the predations of US capitalism. The US was made by finding ever lower labour costs, and workers always fought back. Food justice, and its opposite, are of a piece.

It is clear, though, that tensions and imperfections and losses lie ahead. The US continues to spread its economic model internationally. While Joe Biden’s administration seems ready to infuse cash into the management of domestic hunger, internationally it’s agribusiness as usual. But as May Day reminds us, solidarity between workers need not be bounded by the nation state. The United States was made through global connections. It will be remade when those links are not ones of oppression, but ones of solidarity in the fight for food justice.

If I hadn’t read this interminably long and tortuous Grauniad lecture for myself, I would scarcely have believed it. But it’s real, it’s in your face, and it’s totally not going to just go away. Can “mostly peaceful” protests against the genocide represented by a slice of good ol’ apple pie be long in coming? Is the glass of milk that traditionally accompanies it still okay, or no?

So I guess now it’s “food justice” we all must wring our hands and gnash our teeth over…or else. To fail to speak out is to implicitly confirm our complicity in “injustice,” see. Also “bigotry,” “racism,” and “white supremacy.” Probably several more sundry atrocities I’m forgetting about also. Silence is violence, y’all.

One can only marvel, and wonder what the self-righteous carbuncles will come up with next.

Living with lunatics

It can’t be done without upheaval, strife, and misery, and sane people shouldn’t even try lest insanity turn out to be infectious.

The Progressive Left has gone stark raving batshit fucking insane. It wouldn’t be so frightening if they didn’t have control of the news, the schools, the entertainment media, and now the government:

The 2016 election was stolen by Trump with the aid of Putin, but the 2020 election was unquestionably fair and even-handed, and there’s something wrong with you if you do not accept that.

Violence is speech, but silence is violence, but free speech is violence. Rioting is “mostly peaceful.” Two plus two equals racism and racism is bad, and all white people are racists, so President* Biden believes that minorities somehow can’t figure out how to use the Internet. Segregation is cool again as is discrimination in hiring. Defunding police departments is anti-racism. People who were never slaves should get reparations from people who never owned a slave, but the children brought illegally in to the country should not suffer for their parent’s crime. Genocide is bad, except in China where it’s just a different cultural norm.

Someone who was biologically male for most of his life can “identify as female” and defeat biologically female women in sex-segregated sports, and they’re brave for doing so. Dr. Rachel Levin, Biden’s transgender nominee for assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services refuses to answer questions regarding gender reassignment performed on minor children during approval hearings. (There are, at present, apparently 112 genders.) If you’re heterosexual and don’t date trans you’re a transphobe, but if you’re homosexual and won’t date outside your gender (whichever of the 112 you are) you’re OK.

“Equity” now means “Equality.” All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. Cows, pigs and sheep are among the greatest threats to the environment. We need to go to all electric cars, but we’re going to charge them using wind power on distribution systems that can’t support the load. Those clean electric vehicles run on batteries, but the Left seems to have no concern of where the materials for those come from. Mining is bad, but electric vehicles will require a massive increase in mining, not to mention the expansion of the power distribution infrastructure necessary to charge them. But math is racist, and I’m sure everything will work out fine.

And people who own guns are murderers just waiting for the opportunity, but insulting them in public is perfectly safe.

If you dare to point out the insanity, you’re a racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic deplorable who must be CANCELLED. You’re a heretic, or worse, apostate. Oh, and Ben Shapiro is a Nazi.

I wrote many years ago that both liberals and conservatives were necessary for a healthy society, but the Left is no longer interested in debate and compromise.

As we’re finding out, liberals aren’t at all necessary for a healthy society. Actually, they’re inimical to it; anathema to it; and, in the end, fatal to it.

Via Bill, who says:

This is a very long piece from a few weeks back. Most will probably not bother with it, but I challenge you to find a better, more compelling summation of the plight patriotic  Americans now find themselves facing.

For those of you who do bother, thank you. I think you’ll find the time well spent.

We get bits and pieces of this every day, but to see it all gathered together in one place is to bring home in an inescapable way just how dangerous are the times into which we must move forward, whether we want to or not. And the sort of decisions we must make now to determine how we will face them.

He ain’t wrong about that, which y’all may not have gathered due to my having cherry-picked the insane-Left segment of the aforementioned post for the excerpt. As Bill says, carve out some time so’s you can sit down and read the whole thing.

The Con con

Conservatism as commodity, bought and sold in the marketplace.

Every once in a while, a post or series of posts comes along that captures why conservatism never amounted to much. This post in the ironically named American Conservative is a good example of the genre. The topic is how to deal with the privatization of authoritarian power, primarily in Silicon Valley. The argument put forward is that using the state to tame these rogue companies is morally wrong, so we have to find some new way to contend with these out-of-control tech firms.

The first thing you should notice is the style is exactly what we get whenever the topic of immigration in on the table. The obvious answer is dismissed. In the case of immigration, that means shutting down the border and cracking down on employers who use helot labor. The open borders crowd always says that is impossible or harmful in some way. Instead, they offer a collection of overly complex solutions that have no chance of succeeding but will keep the punditry busy.

In the case of Big Tech, we have laws on the books to put an end to this reign of terror, but enforcing those is socialism, according to the usual suspects. We cannot have that, even if it would work. Instead, let us have a twenty-year series of international commissions to study technical standards and pass a bunch of laws that no one reads, but have cool names like “Data Portability Act”. In other words, the people who cannot build a wall along the border are going to fix the internet.

Interestingly, the rodents from Conservative Inc. always use the same trick the Left is so fond of using, which is the false dichotomy. “We can shut ourselves off from the world or embrace globalism” is how they frame trade. “We can become a hermit nation or remain a nation of immigrants” is how they frame immigration. Now it is “We can choose central planning or preserve an open internet” with Big Tech. It is the same partisan game the Left plays, just tailored for a middle-class white audience.

The fact is, enforcing Section 230 of the Communication Decency Act as intended puts a halt to the most egregious violations of our rights. Twitter can choose to be a publisher or an open platform. If it is the former, they can censure their platform however they like, but they are accountable for the content. If they choose to be an open platform like Gab, then they get the protection of Section 230. There is no need to reinvent the internet to solve the biggest problem with Big Tech.

Similarly, the obvious collusion that goes on with these big firms could be crushed with the use of existing law. There are plenty of examples of the tech companies colluding with one another to ban people from their platforms. If we can give a cop 20-years on civil rights violations for shooting a fleeing suspect, we can give the harpies of Silicon Valley a few years for violating the civil rights of Alex Jones. One lawsuit is all that would be required to end that practice and restore some sanity.

Of course, the author of the AC piece is clearly trying to strike the libertarian position, which is a blend of hiding under the bed and shilling for global capital. This is what is wrong with the libertarian-conservative commentariat. They are not interested in advocating conservative interests. Instead, they are focused on making sure their corporate donors are free of government interference. If that means the rights of conservatives are trampled, well “whoopsie!”

As with any swindle, if you can’t figure out who the mark is, it’s you. Z’s title brought to mind an old Mad cover:

Mad-TheBigCon.jpg

“The Big Con” is as on-point a description of modern “conservatism,” the NeverTrumpTard punditry, and the Vichy GOPe as you’ll ever find.

Don’t hate me ’cause I’m beautiful a neurotic, narcissistic bitch

Ace flenses this scrunt so enjoyably it inspired me take a crack at her myself. Y’know, so to speak.

I’m All For Feminism, But It’s Kinda Making It Harder To Date

Another case of something working exactly as intended, then.

1. I’M HYPER AWARE OF EVERY SEXIST THING A GUY DOES NOW.
It doesn’t take much for me to overanalyze a guy’s intentions nowadays. I used to see a guy opening a door for me as nice and polite, but lately, gestures like this have been making me angry. I know the guys offering these acts of chivalry have no intention to make me feel small or lesser than, but now that my eyes have been opened to feminist theory, it’s all I’m able to think about.

And just like that, the mystery is solved. See how easy that was?

2. GUYS ARE STARTED TO THINK WE DON’T NEED THEM ANYMORE.
Even though the feminist movement is pretty much the best thing to happen to this world since sliced bread, it’s taking its toll in the dating scene. The thing is, I’m starting to get a bit of a stand-offish vibe from guys, like they’re afraid to make a move, and I think it’s because they think that we don’t need them anymore.

Ehh, not so much. “Guys” (do note how she never uses the word “men) have had more than adequate demonstration of the fact that FemiNazis don’t LIKE them, and have concomitantly been driven into the early stages of reciprocating that dislike in full measure. No real mystery to that one either, I’m afraid.

I’m not gonna go and cry a river for them because that’s something they’re gonna have to figure out within their own psyches. It’s just something I’ve noticed and it’s a bit of a shame.

May I suggest, then, that this difficulty in finding a date you’re lamenting is something you’re gonna have to figure out your own damned self?
3. ONE LITTLE ANTI-FEMINIST COMMENT CAN COMPLETELY TURN ME OFF.

When I’m out with a guy and he says one thing that’s even REMOTELY offensive towards women, I find it really hard to recover. I instantly write guys off if they aren’t “woke” to the current social mindset towards gender politics and can’t let it go. Let’s just say I’ve gone on A LOT of first dates that never go anywhere.

Gee, what a shock. Let’s see: tetchy; hyper-sensitive; so over-the-top bitchy that you respond to a difference in viewpoint by “instantly writing guys off” for a single “even REMOTELY offensive” remark—the really stunning thing here is that you get any “first dates” at all. One can only wonder what kind of “guy” would even dream of going out with you. Masochistic fools, Mommy’s-basement-dwelling fatbodies desperate for any interaction with a female, or the grotesquely unattractive and/or disfigured, I’d bet.

4. IT’S LIKE GUYS ARE WALKING ON EGGSHELLS AROUND US.
Guys are feeling the heat and we can all tell.

I dunno, maybe considering taking the heat OFF them a little, then? But of course, she immediately seques into another self-contradiction, another question that obviously answers itself, something she does again and again in this article.

They’re afraid to compliment us or relate to us in the way they were always taught to and trust me, this is a good thing. However, women still like to be pursued (at least I do) and it’s unfortunate that by finally standing up for our rights and demanding respect, we’re totally scaring men away. It’s so messed up and a total shame.

“I still like to be pursued…and the moment any man tries it, I’ll verbally flay him for a Wokeness quotient not up to my exacting standards. I demand that ‘guys’ I date unquestioningly defer to me, crawl to me on hands and knees, and genuflect every minute I agree to grace them with my exalted presence, in respectful acknowledgment of my overall excellence and superiority. Isn’t it, like, just so bizarre that fewer and fewer of them seem at all interested in spending time with me?”

More of the same abject stupidity follows before the bint wraps it up with a restatement of the self-solving mystery.

10. I SWEAR GUYS ARE APPROACHING ME LESS.

SRSLY?!? Only the most clueless, unreflecting dullard in the galaxy could find that puzzling. The answers to all the riddles, the solution to all the problems, can only be found within, babe. Feminist, heal thyself. Otherwise, as Ace so pithily puts it:

Nah, you’re fine. Keep on doing what you’re doing.

After the collapse of my disastrous second marriage, I swore off all association with the female of the species beyond the purely platonic. After reading this, I’ve never been happier I did.

All part of a Plan, and the Plan is working as intended

Working very damned well, in fact.

There are a lot of unprecedented things happening, but not all of them are shocking. For example, it probably shouldn’t surprise you that, once they got their hands on real power, the same lunatics who don’t believe in human biology immediately made a serious mess of our economy. It took them less than six months to do it. First, they acted like the U.S. dollar had no value. They spent money like they’d just printed it for the occasion, which, needless to say, they had. Predictably, we wound up with frightening levels of inflation, which for the record they still deny exists. But inflation does exist, as you well know if you live here. Corn prices, to name just one example of a staple commodity that’s now out of control, have risen by 50 percent just since January. But that wasn’t bad enough. The lunatics decided to make it worse. They paid millions of Americans more than they make at work, to stay home and do nothing. To justify doing this, they used the word “COVID” quite a bit, but it had nothing to do with the pandemic. They just wanted to break the system. And so they did. And the rest of us immediately wound up with a bewildering combination of rising unemployment in the middle of a severe labor shortage. So, at the very same time, we found ourselves with too many workers, and also too few workers. That doesn’t even make sense, but thanks to their policies, that’s now exactly what we have. And then, finally, in case 2021 didn’t remind you enough of a grimmer version of the 1970s, we now have serious gas shortages, in a country that just recently was energy independent. All along the east coast of the country today, people couldn’t fill up their cars. The footage looks like Venezuela.

What is this about? Well, you know. On some level — let’s be honest about it — the White House approves of this disaster.

Yes, some gas stations are closed tonight. But soon enough, the lunatics plan to close them all — every gas station in the entire United States, shuttered forever, to make way for some new, as-yet-undefined means of transportation that will magically replace the gasoline engines we’ve used for more than 100 years. This is a green revolution. So who cares about some old pipeline?

Remember that on his first day in office, Joe Biden shut down a pipeline, that’s the first thing he did. It was the massive Keystone XL. Biden didn’t wait for mysterious hackers to shut it down. He shut it down himself. And more than 11,000 people lost their jobs. And, by the way, gas prices went up. In case you haven’t noticed, gas prices have never gone down.

Why? This is the result of policy decisions made by the new administration. This is the Green New Deal. We’ve got it already. And if you love gas shortages and electricity blackouts and $80 plywood, this is the program for you.

Typically, in the material world, where the laws of nature apply when the price of something jumps that quickly and that high, you’ve got a supply problem. Because it’s supply and demand. There isn’t enough of that thing to go around. Does that apply to lumber? Are there fewer spruce trees out there than there were a year ago? Are those trees growing more slowly than they once did? Have we seen a 280% in new houses being built? The answers: no, no and no. The answer, as you may have guessed, is that bad federal policies are distorting the price of everything in this country, from two by fours, to diesel fuel to corn dogs. None of this is an accident. Just as it wasn’t an accident when the power went out in Texas over the winter. It wasn’t a cold snap that did it, it was a federal policy that encouraged the state to rely on windmills that don’t actually work. So, it’s not a natural cycle. Somebody did this to us on purpose.

It’s “bad national policy” all right, but exclusively in the sense that it’s a policy that is bad for the nation. But there’s another sense to be taken into account: bad as it is, damaging as it is, it is also effective policy—because the bad things it’s doing, that damage, is the effect the policy was intended to produce.

Over time my reaction has evolved from amusement, to mild pique, to being outright annoyed when I see references to this or that putatively “failed” Democrat-Socialist policy, program, or initiative. The same blinkered narrative is applied to describe Marxism itself, which “fails every time it’s tried,” or so we’re endlessly told—as if the sole ambition of its advocates and administrators is to see to it that all are adequately fed, housed, and liberated from servitude and want. Bless their selfless, charitable hearts, Marxists just want to make sure that both the high and mighty and the downtrodden alike are fairly treated. That the State meets its obligation to ensure that avarice can never be wielded as a cudgel by one man in the bludgeoning of his brother. That all resources are equitably distributed.

Sorry, but…no. Whatever Karl Marx’s own notion might have been originally, Communism as we know it today is usually pretty danged good at achieving its true imperatives: untrammeled power and wealth for the ruthless few at the top of the heap, hopeless subjugation without mercy or surcease for the hapless serfs below.

The truth is that Communism, as well as the machinations of its Democrat-Socialist Party adherents, actually succeeds every time it’s tried. Understanding that is a matter of realizing what their ACTUAL goals and intentions are, and ignoring what they SAY they are—ie, “success” isn’t anything to do with uplifting, assisting, or liberating anybody, other than members of the Ruling Class kleptocracy—and then adjusting your own perceptions accordingly. Or, to adapt the famous words of another notorious latter-day Marxist, it all depends on what the meaning of “success” is. Once you’ve recalibrated your terms and definitions properly, it’s all perfectly obvious.

This flag is your flag, this flag is MY flag

Sooner or later, you can be sure they’ll get around to something you DO care about.

Outside Christie’s home in upstate New York, nestled beneath a tree near her driveway, sits a small rock painted with a Confederate flag that could cost her the custody of her little girl.

In a row between parents identified only as Christie and Isaiah, the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court’s Third Department unanimously allowed the pair to retain joint custody of their biracial child but ordered the mother to remove the rebel rock by June 1. Failing that, the court ruled the rock’s “continued presence shall constitute a change in circumstances.”

Put plainly, the bench threatened to revisit parents’ custody agreement and warned: “Family Court shall factor this into any future best interests analysis.”

It seems the parents have been locked in a protracted custody battle for some time. The New York Post reports that “the mother wants the dad to only see his daughter every other weekend, and the father wants sole custody.” In the course of the dispute, Isaiah has mentioned the rock only in passing while making a broader argument for custody of the girl. It was only when the case ended up in the lap of the appellate court that judges honed in on Christie’s taste in decor.

“Although not addressed by Family Court or the attorney for the child, the mother’s testimony at the hearing, as well as an exhibit admitted into evidence, reveal that she has a small confederate flag painted on a rock near her driveway,” Justice Stanley Pritzker wrote in the ruling. Pritzker then set his sights on the child’s racial background.

“Given that the child is of mixed race, it would seem apparent that the presence of the flag is not in the child’s best interests, as the mother must encourage and teach the child to embrace her mixed-race identity, rather than thrust her into a world that only makes sense through the tortured lens of cognitive dissonance,” Pritzker wrote. “Further, and viewed pragmatically, the presence of the confederate flag is a symbol inflaming the already strained relationship between the parties.”

How one feels about the Confederate flag is irrelevant to the real issue here.

Those who grin at the removal of Confederate symbolism from the public eye should know that the implications of this could and likely will extend far beyond Southern heritage.

The list of contraband symbolism, political views, and speech is sure to grow as the war on the specter of white supremacy escalates. Some might say that it is paranoid to suspect as much, an example of the slippery slope fallacy. Those people also thought that the toppling of statues would stop with Confederate monuments.

Those people need to get their heads around the undeniable fact that the neverending escalations of the toxic Left will NEVER stop. Appease them all you like; bend over backwards for them until your spine (if any) snaps, betray every last principle you ever held dear, accept another false “compromise” in which you somehow gain nothing as your “reward” for yielding—it won’t matter. They will always and forever come back with yet another demand, yet another depredation, looking to take the next bite of your freedom until every last morsel of it has been gobbled up.

So stop doing it. It’s long past time that Team Liberty recognized that the Left has from the very beginning played the long game, never for an instant taking their eyes off the prize they seek: tyranny. Any momentary gesture they give to comity, accomodation, reason, and cooperation is false, a manipulation intended to move them closer to their ultimate goal. Giving in, if only for the sake of holding on briefly to some semblance of peace, does nothing but further embolden them. Unless we fight them ferociously on every issue—even the most seemingly trivial of them—we will one day find ourselves with our backs against the wall, left with no ground on which we can stand.

I am a Son of the South. The Confederacy is part of my cultural heritage; I am proud to fly its Battle Flag via the tattoo of it on my right arm, and I do not give a good goddamn what ANYBODY thinks about that.

Forget? I’ll see every last whimpering, whining PC piece of shit in Hell first.

Had enough of them yet?

FOAD, you corrupt, lying, kiddie-diddling, senile old rapist.

Speaking from the Rose Garden today at the White House, President Joe Biden celebrated the new guidelines issued by the CDC lifting mask requirements for people who are fully vaccinated, crediting his administration’s vaccination program with dramatically reducing the impact of the coronavirus.

Biden declared, “The rule is very simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do. The choice is yours,” later tweeting out these words as well.

Izzat so, NotMyPresident Gropey? Well, here’s a counteroffer for you.

I:

  • WILL do exactly as I please, as usual, without reference to or regard for your own opinion or preferences
  • WILL NOT be wearing a fucking mask
  • WILL go wherever I want, whenever I want
  • WILL NOT allow myself to be shot up with your precious “vaccine,” under any circumstances whatsoever
  • WILL ignore all edicts, decrees, commands, and imperatives from the likes of you
  • WILL ridicule you; defy you; oppose and/or undermine you, your minions, and all your works; and hold you in profoundest contempt till my dying breath

YOU:

  • WILL NOT be able to successfully and safely negotiate a short flight of stairs
  • WILL babble incomprehensibly into the microphone the second the drugs begin to wear off
  • WILL NOT be entirely sure of who you are, where you are, and what you’re doing ever again, for the rest of your miserable life
  • WILL forever remain not—as you may flatter yourself in your increasingly-few lucid moments—”the leader of the free world,” but an international laughingstock, butt of jokes and object of scorn and ridicule among your fellow bottom-feeders, rumpswabs, and parasites
  • WILL NOT enjoy a moment’s respect, deference, or obedience from me—ever
  • WILL continue to publicly beclown yourself on a daily basis

So howzabout it there, Gropester? We got ourselves a deal here or what? In the event that we do not, please feel free to go piss up a rope.

“The rule is.” My GOD, the balls on these slimewads.

“We Don’t Have a President”

Bonchie says it like it’s a bad thing.

So where exactly is Joe Biden, the man who is ostensibly the President of the United States?

No one can seem to figure that out. He’s given no public statements about the two major crises of the last 24 hours. His surrogates have sent mixed messages, with Jen Psaki chastising Israel for being attacked by Palestinian terrorists today. In regards to the pipeline, the administration claimed that it was a “private sector” matter in one of the more surreal moments of Biden’s presidency. I guess there weren’t enough fake nooses hung to get the FBI to jump into action?

Regardless, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that we don’t have a president, at least not in any traditional sense. Sure, we have a man who holds the office while his handlers make all the decisions and craft all the narratives, but we don’t have a president who can stand up and provide guidance on the tough issues. Biden is a coward anyway. He won’t stand up to those pulling the strings around him nor will he stand up to despots around the world.

That’s what I meant when I implied above that not having a president might not be such a bad thing. If the choice is between Bai-Ding and/or his puppeteers or no POTUS at all, I’ll take Door Number Two every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

The Palestinians had not fired a rocket at Jerusalem since 2014 until this week. What changed, exactly? Well, Biden’s handlers decided to reinstate “aid” payments to the Palestinians. They are emboldened, knowing that Donald Trump isn’t there to push back anymore while Biden is happy to play into his own weakness, coddling the terrorists who are currently killing Jews in the streets.

And speaking of Trump, could you imagine the gnashing of teeth that would occur if he just disappeared the day Israel basically went to war and hackers shut down gasoline distribution to the Southeast and East Coast? He’d be accused of being derelict in his duty. Yet, no one in the media seems to even be concerned that Biden is MIA during one of the most consequential, complicated weeks the country has seen in quite some time. In fact, they seem to be far more obsessed with fluffing Liz Cheney than the fact that the jobs market is stagnating while inflation remains out of control.

There are consequences to electing a senile old man to a job that requires at least some level of coherence. The country is receiving those consequences good and hard right now. Voters should take note because this isn’t going to get better. The only way to turn this around is to stop voting with your emotions and start paying attention to the things that really matter.

Au contraire, mon frére. The only real way to turn this around is to stop voting altogether—to acknowledge, once and for all, the uselessness of the whole pre-rigged, wholly-corrupt “elections” dumbshow—thereby proclaiming that Real Americans are fully awake to the charade, that the consent of the governed has officially been withheld. And even that is only the first step, and the easiest.

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Of course she does. They ALL do, and always have; the hoary old “I’m a hunter myself” nonsense was never anything but a deception, and if you didn’t know it before now you’re a damned idiot. The only thing new is that, at this point, a lengthy string of unchallenged wins has left them so suffused with confidence that they no longer feel any need to go on lying about it.

TBS’s Sam Bee Just Says It: I ‘Want to Take your Guns’

So do it then, cunt. I beg you: please, please, PLEASE do it. Stop with the threats and just DO IT already, ferchrissakes. Let’s all find out how that works out for you and yours in the end.

“Full Frontal Wants to Take Your Guns,” to air at 10:30 p.m. EST May 12, will allegedly explore ways to reduce gun violence now.

The PR statement on the upcoming special is as biased as the show itself, a veritable DNC extension.

“Full Frontal Wants To Take Your Guns” … will explore how appalling and frankly stupid it is that we as Americans are told there’s simply nothing we can do about gun violence. Don’t even get us started on the whole “good guy with a gun” thing. It’s high time to figure out how America’s gun problem got this bad, and what we as citizens of this glorious mess can do to help fix it.

“The fact that 316 people are victims of gun violence in the United States every single day makes me want to Zoom call every politician in this country and just scream at them,” says Bee. “But the polite Canadian in me won’t actually allow me to raise my voice, so we’re doing the comedy special equivalent of that instead.”

Bee’s Full Frontal showcase, a cavalcade of hateful, hard-left talking points, cannot be trusted to share the whole story on gun violence and possible solutions. Progressive comedy exists, in part, to push partisan goals and dodge fact checks.

Bee’s upcoming show is just part of the comedy Left’s war on guns.

This is the point where most Righty pundits get busy puking up a ton of facts, figures, and statistics to prove to the Progtards how utterly full of shit they truly are, but y’know what? I’m all done with such useless circle-jerkery. The Left doesn’t care, ain’t listening anyhow, and hasn’t the least intention of letting any piffling facts get in the way of realizing their eternal ambitions.

No, the time for talk is well and truly over. Further one-sided “debate” with these “people” is worse than a waste of time, and we all know it is. Time to settle the issue once and for all. Put your money where your big fat mouths are, shitlibs. Either that, or shut the fucking fuck up. No more trying to teach the pig to sing.

Come and take them, or die trying; I don’t give a shit which it turns out to be anymore, if I ever did. Trust me, there’s a great many of us who feel the same way about it. They’re as tired as I am of this bootless, never-ending round-and-round with you, and are quite ready, willing, and eager to settle your fucking hash.

SO, then. Challenge: accepted.

Let’s get it on.

Boot on our necks, forever amen

I take no pleasure in saying this, believe me I don’t, but…told ya so.

Remember when Dr. Fauci said masks don’t work?

Now Fauci is suggesting mask-wearing will become permanent.

Fauci appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday and told host Chuck Todd that thanks to mask-wearing, the seasonal flu was pretty much non-existent this year.

The seasonal flu was just recoded into Covid so medical facilities can make more money, but Fauci gets paid big bucks to lie and push CCP propaganda so here we are.

“We’ve had practically a non-existent flu season this year merely because people were doing the kinds of public health things that were directed predominantly against COVID-19,” Fauci said with a straight face.

“So it is conceivable that as we go on, a year or two or more from now, that during certain seasonal periods when you have respiratory-borne viruses like the flu, people might actually elect to wear masks to diminish the likelihood that you’ll spread these respiratory-borne diseases,” Fauci added.

The Covid tyranny stops when we say it stops.

Well, perhaps. Then again, perhaps not. The trouble is, we now have a tremendous portion of the population who has been thoroughly conditioned and have now been broken in the same sense wild horses are. “Americans” have accepted the bit; they’re more inclined to cowardice and submission than to sturdy self-determination in the first place, and will not only be perfectly fine with making the Mask Of Submission a permanent fixture of Amerikan life, they will vehemently insist on it. You can be sure that the Fauxvid panic-ninnies will raise eight flavors of ruckus should it not be made so, and will continue on shamelessly hectoring and harassing those who refuse to comply.

There was a time when I myself regularly echoed Laila’s line that it “stops when we say it stops.” With every passing day, though, it becomes more apparent that relatively passive resistance isn’t going to suffice to free us unless and until physical violence, up close and personal, becomes part of the equation. Maybe those Karens and Kens would relent if they suddenly found themselves on the hurty end of a knuckle sandwich every time they opened their smarmy yaps to start in on some poor schlub possessed of the outrageous temerity to insist on living as if this was still a free country or something.

The grand experiment in authoritarianism facilitated by hysterical panic over a decidedly unexceptional flu bug turned out to be successful beyond a wannabe despot’s wildest dreams. All the puzzle pieces for perpetual tyranny are now firmly in place, which means more extreme measures will be required if it is ever to be disassembled and put back in its proper box. As in so very many other contexts, by putting off a reckoning instead of facing reality and just getting on with it, we have only made our struggle more difficult than it might have been. Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt; it’s also an invitation no tyrant will ever refuse—a wide-open door that they will forever be happy to walk through and make themselves right at home.

Update! Give ’em an inch, and they’ll take…absolutely everything.

So spare me the tired and easily refuted claim that our current situation is simply a scientific response to a dangerous disease. Similar responses to dangerous situations would never be accepted, and would trigger immediate and appropriate legal responses. Just imagine if Fredo The Elder (Andrew Cuomo) announced that until the murder rate in the worst precincts in NYC dropped to the background level of the rest of the country, all people above a certain age were subject to search for weapons. Or that policemen would be posted in every supermarket to search all morbidly overweight people for prohibited foods.

Those are ridiculous and unacceptable examples of government overreach, yet we are currently tolerating similar insults to our rights, and looming on the horizon are even more insidious measures. Vaccine passports, segregation of the vaccinated from the unvaccinated, and many more degradations of our rights as free people are coming, and soon.

How different is a vaccine passport compared to the yellow star of Nazi Germany, or a letter from the Red Guards allowing travel to the cities, or an ID card allowing one entrance into a communist party food store in Moscow?

The advent of incredibly fast computers, completely interconnected, and vast databases that can be accessed from literally anywhere with a cellular connection makes the Nazis and the Soviets and the Chinese communists mere dilettantes compared to the current surveillance state.

Papers could be forged…badges could be manufactured…the authorities could be evaded (at least for a time). But how many of us have the technical knowledge and skills to evade a vaccine passport requirement? Or avoid being tracked with our cell phones and internet log-ons and electronic toll systems and credit cards and facial recognition systems and license plate readers and on and on and on.

We are in the midst of a profound shift to authoritarian rule, but this time the tools available to those in power are orders of magnitude more powerful than even the infamous East German Ministry For State Security had!

The dystopian novels of the past predicted exactly this, but they were warnings…and we ignored them.

Oh, we’re hardly “in the midst” of said profound shift, I’d say. What we’re in now is the final stage of it, when the cleaning crew comes in to sweep up whatever’s left of American liberty before its light is extinguished for the long, dark night.
