Spicy time countdown

This has been my own thought for a fair bit now.

Regardless of who is elected, it’ll be civil war
I’m not going to say that what we’ve been experiencing over the last three months have been the first salvos of a civil war, but it sure looks like it. While hard-line socialists in the Democratic Party are working within the political infrastructure and behaving as though they are conducting the business of governance according to the rule of law and constitutionally established procedures, they are in fact in the process of fomenting civil war – or at least, they have made it apparent that they are willing to go that far if they are not able to gain ascendency via political means.

One of their prerequisites for standing down appears to be the removal of President Donald Trump, whether this is achieved via the general election in November or by some other means. It is clear – and should be clear to historians in the future – that the impeachment proceedings that took place in 2019 and early 2020 were nothing more than an attempted coup against our president.

Failing that, elected officials in Washington (both Republican and Democrat), their supporters, powerful Democrat donors and far left activists in the streets and corridors of power orchestrated violent demonstrations on the pretext of widespread racism on the part of police agencies across the country. Elected officials in Democrat-controlled enclaves have allowed these to persist in order to serve their greater agenda.

And make no mistake: The two-party system in America has been an illusion and a deception for quite some time. Most Republican elected officials who support the president are only supporting him because of his popularity amongst Republicans and swing voters. Nearly all of them hold allegiance to the Washington establishment and have been vehemently opposed to Trump’s housekeeping efforts from the start.

And although we know that political rhetoric has had a tendency to get nasty and hyperbolic during election cycles since our nation’s earliest days, the magnitude of the lies and the level of projection being proffered by everyone from Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have truly pushed the boundaries of the surreal. I mean, when Bill Clinton has the nerve to criticize President Trump’s behavior in the Oval Office as he did this week at the Democratic National Convention, it becomes clear that these people have no sense of shame, and have cast both decency and reality to the wind.

It is entirely possible that if President Trump secures reelection, the left will escalate and extend the scope of the violence, touching off a full-blown, costly civil war. I believe it is equally possible that if Joe Biden wins the election, heretofore law-abiding Americans will determine that enough is enough, rise up and take decisive action against leftist dissidents, with the same unfortunate result.

Should this occur, it will be a civil war such as we’ve seen in many other nations over the years, rather than what transpired during the Civil War: Potential enemies will be present in our cities and towns, in our neighborhoods and occasionally in our own homes. Lines between enemy combatants will be blurred, as will those between police, the military and the militias that will inevitably rise up. BLM and Antifa thugs will continue to ply their trade until they are beaten back, or they prevail.

It should be clear by now to all but the intellectually indolent or deficient that those on the left thrive on the suffering of the citizenry at large. In fact, it was the deep suffering generated by the Obama administration that led to the election of Donald Trump in 2016. Now, like spoiled but very dangerous children, the left intends to prolong the pain of civil unrest until we get rid of him.

I shouldn’t have to point this out, but people who thrive on the suffering of others are inherently evil. Prudent individuals do not concern themselves with decorum or even fairness when dealing with evil people.

Nope, nor should they. Instead, they fix the evil people’s breathing problem—the problem being, they still ARE breathing.

In fairness, though, we should probably grant that not all of them are in fact evil; some of them are just stupid. Either way, we’ve conceded the Left’s presumed “right” to rule over and control us for much too long now. It’s long past time we rescinded that misguided concession, by whatever means we must.

War to the knife, knife to the hilt: I don’t see any way it can possibly be averted now, and that’s a terrible, terrible tragedy. But our differences are irreconcilable; we have here a chasm that cannot be bridged in any honorable fashion. There is no resolution in which any semblance of liberty can be preserved. The Left has made it clear that they will not relent until every last Real American submits and is brought fully and firmly to heel. That is, quite simply, unacceptable. So if war it must be, then let’s win the thing, by God.

TRAGEDY!

I’m inconsolable. Grief-stricken. Desolated.

Three people were injured in downtown Louisville when a member of an armed black militia group carrying semiautomatic weapons accidentally discharged a firearm as they marched to a demonstration.

Despite earlier reports that the shots were fired as a result of an argument between the group and a far-right organization gathered nearby, it was later confirmed that a member of the Atlanta-based ‘Not F*****g Around Coaltion’ (NFAC) had accidentally fired on other members as they assembled in Baxter Park.

An estimated 350 armed members of the group had gathered there before marching toward the main protest site in downtown Louisville, where about 50 member of the far right militia group Three Percenters were also gathered.

Just hours after the shooting, the leader of the NFAC vowed the group would return to Louisville to ‘burn this motherf****r down’ if the investigation into the death of Breonna Taylor is not completed in four weeks time.

So what’s the tragedy, you ask? Why, that not a one of these three NFuKD buffoons seems to have incurred himself a fatal injury in the dustup. Oh well, better luck next time, I guess. Somehow, it all reminds me of this classic scene:

So totting things up, we have an unfortunate dearth of death in Louisville, and therefore no desperately-needed and long-overdue culling of the current oversupply of violent, moronic Leftard protesters, either. Gladder tidings from down in Austin, though.

The incident leading up to the 28-year-old’s death began about 9:50 p.m. when a driver on Fourth Street honked his horn and turned right onto Congress Avenue where there was a crowd of protesters, Austin Police Chief Brian Manley said Sunday.

Several protesters — including Foster, who was holding an assault rifle — approached the car, Manley said. He said the driver reported that Foster pointed the weapon at him. The driver then pointed his handgun outside the window, fired multiple shots and drove away, Manley said.

Someone else in the crowd opened fire on the car as it drove off, Manley said.

First responders performed CPR on Foster, but he died at Dell Seton Medical Center less than an hour after the shooting, officials said.

The lesson: Don’t start no shit, won’t be no shit.

While ruefully acknowledging the somewhat disappointing outcome of the first story, Real Americans must nonetheless put both of these into the Win column.

Another case of a gun stopping a crime without a shot being fired

Wonder if the fools will learn anything from this experience?

Shit, who am I kidding.

kimberly-m-gardner-3.jpg

The aforementioned McCloskeys, of course, are the St Louis attorneys who brandished some hardware at a mob of “peaceful protesters” who had broken down a gate to their neighborhood clearly marked with “No trespassing” and “Private property” signs. It was later learned that the two are self-declared BLM supporters and Mark 1-Mod 0 libtards, more or less, so the fact that they even had any guns at all is an indicator of your typical shitlib hypocrisy. Also obvious from the next pic is why liberals should never be allowed to play with guns:

Gun-donts-STLou.jpg

Pathetic. Pretty much everything about this picture, from a proper gun-handling point of view, is back-asswards and wrong. As for whether they shouldn’t oughta be defending their property against a gang of marauding thugs with firearms, well, I just gotta wonder how quickly the gendarmerie would have had a conservative and/or less well-connected couple booked and in the slammer, their property confiscated, and what their prospects might be for ever getting their freedom or their stuff back.

Hey, your rules, libtards, not ours. If the McCloskeys wind up finding themselves forced to live by ’em against all odds…well, my inclination is to say that one might be amazed how little I care about their plight.

On the other hand, though, maybe they DID learn something at that.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey said they grabbed their guns and stood in front of their house, on their own property, to back-off screaming Black Lives Matter protesters, and told KSDK TV they thought they’d have to make a deadly last stand to protect themselves. See Mark McCloskey’s video below.

When they kick in the gate, when the first thing they do is destroy private property and they storm in angry and shouting and threatening. This isn’t a protest. It’s a revolution. It’s just an attempt to inflict terror.

McCloskey said “the only thing that stopped them was my rifle.” McCloskey’s wife had a pistol. He said she doesn’t know much about guns but knows a lot about feeling scared:

Well, you know, we were always obviously upset. My wife doesn’t know anything about guns, but she knows about being scared. And she grabbed a pistol and I had a rifle, and I was very, very careful I didn’t point the rifle at anybody. The only thing that stopped the crowd from approaching the house was when I had that rifle and I was holding there. The only thing that stemmed the tide. I can’t blame my wife for being terrified and for doing what she could to protect what she thought was her life, it was it was, you know, a horrible, horrible event.

Bold mine, and perhaps indicative of a lightbulb coming on somewhere. And hey, you gotta give ’em at least some props for at least having the stones to go out and make a stand all by their lonesomes against a rampaging, thuggish mob that hugely outnumbered them, rather than cowering indoors praying feverishly that the cops would show up in time to save their asses.

However the education of these two privileged libs may or may not progress from here, the first takeaway for all of us, as confirmed by the despicable city attorney’s statement, is this: your government, on every level, is NOT your friend. The second? As the PJM article concludes, this sort of thing is one of the primary reasons we have a 2A in the first place.

There are other edifying developments here as well:

Following the incident people began calling for the McCloskeys to be doxed – resulting in at least one publication removing their address from a 2018 article detailing the extensive renovations they performed on the 1912 mansion.

One of those calling for doxing the McCloskeys, ‘anti-racism executive coach’ Kyle Dennis, restricted his Twitter account after he himself was doxed.

This piece of subhuman garbage called for his fellow Leftwit assholes to “sue them, ruin their businesses, call their kids, call their families” and the like, in a perfectly typical display of shitlib “tolerance” and “compassion.” Hopefully he’ll suffer all those things and much worse himself now that he’s been given a taste of his own rancid medicine.

One of CA’s readers offers a useful AAR, concluding thusly:

Consider the sharply changing trajectory of these riot mob groups if every time they went after someone in a residence, they had to face not only the home owner, but his/her neighbors as well? What if they realized that they now had such on at least one flank, and reinforcements were probably going to start pinching off their avenue for withdrawl? Once they sense that and panic, that will be some security footage to see as they bolt for the gaps. In such circumstance, I would hope that the residents keep their heads and let them flee unmolested.  There is a lesson to even the most obtuse when they realize that the only thing between them and a chalk outline is the good order, discipline and decency of the Average American. It will be a glorious day when some unnamed suburbanite “fixes bayonets” in a possible dystopian future and performs in a way suitable to his forebears.

Lest any of you still have any doubt—which I can’t even BEGIN to imagine at this point—we are indeed at war against Enemies, Domestic—a war which has been slowly, incrementally ramping up from cold to lukewarm to toasty, and will almost certainly wind up going full-on scalding-hot sooner than we might wish. Gird your loins.

Payoff, or payback?

Goes both ways, bitch.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley said on the House floor that the Black Lives Matter movement is a “mandate,” and the time has come for people to “pay us what you owe us.”

“I rise today on behalf of every black family that has been robbed of a child,” the Massachusetts congresswoman and member of “the Squad,” said. “On behalf of every family member that has been forced to see their loved one lynched on national television. Driving while black. Jogging while black. Sleeping while black. We have been criminalized for the very way we show up in the world. Under the harsh gaze of far too many, my black body is seen as a threat, always considered armed.”

“Centuries of institutionalized oppression will not be undone overnight, for racism in America is as structural as the marble pillars of this very institution,” the Democrat added. “With the power of the pen we must legislate accountability, dismantle these systems, and move in the direction of justice and healing. The Justice in Policing Act is a critical step forward, and I applaud the leadership of the Congressional Black Caucus.”

Pressley continued: “But our work is unfinished. There is a rallying cry in communities across the nation. Black Lives Matter is a mandate from the people. It’s time. Pay us what you owe us. Our black skin is not a crime, it is the beautiful robe of nation builders.”

Yeah, the way you built the nation of, say, “Wakanda,” right? Because apart from that risible dream-world, what “your people” have built is God-forsaken perennial shitholes such as Ethiopa, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Haiti, and a whole bunch of other blighted shitrapies entirely dependent for their continued survival on Western foreign aid, relief organizations, and personal charity.

When you’re not “building” corrupt, chaotic basket-case “nations” like the aforementioned—the plight of which is never, ever the fault of the Negro kleptocrats and/or bloodthirsty warlords in charge of governing them, naturally, but of American whites who have never even been there, and couldn’t find them on a map—you’re pulling down the once-great nations that are stuck being the victims of your violent crime; picking up the tab for your hopeless ghettos and their eternally dysfunctional culture; your shiftless layabouts; your fatherless children; and your general uncivilized degeneracy.

Idi Amin was one of yours, sweetheart, not ours. And he fucking ate people, may I remind you.

Probably ought to stick to that sweet politician grift, honey. For the rest, there’s always professional sports, a life of preying on more iunduystrious white folk, or the dole. Because contrary to that noise you’re spewing, you people purely suck at being “nation builders.”

“Pay us what you owe us?” Sure, sure—the moment you pay US for providing the dismaying percentage of the Negro population who are no more than illiterate, ungovernable savages with a level of comfort, privilege, and ease that are the envy of the upper classes in many less-affluent countries.

A half a million of us gave our lives to free you from slavery—and that was well over a century and a half ago. Yet here you are, STILL bitching about it to this very day, with never a syllable of condemnation for the places where slavery still exists. Even though nobody alive today was ever a slave and doesn’t know anybody who was, too many of “your people” cling desperately to this 150-year-old grudge, constantly citing it to excuse your own inability to stand on your own two feet and achieve anything of note, and to stoke guilt in people who have never done you one bit of harm, and have no wish to.

Then we had school desegregation, Urban Renewal, the Civil Rights movement (with plenty of whites marching right alongside you, do please note), the War On Poverty. We forked over trillions for welfare, job training programs, drug and alcohol rehab, and literacy programs. But still, it’s slavery that’s keeping you pinned to the mat.

So let’s just put it as a simple question: when, exactly, might we expect you people to abandon the “helpless, put-upon victim of Bad White abuse” act and start pulling your weight around here? When do you lay off tearing down and start building? When do you start contributing something besides abandoned families, cracked-out welfare moms, and wildly-disproportionate crime statistics to American society, instead of bitching about it and trying to destroy it? When do YOU start being expected to “give back” to the community—our shared American community, not just your own dysfunctional corner of it—the way white people are always being sanctimoniously hectored to do?

Besides peanut butter, I mean. Thanks and all for that; it really is good stuff, truly it is. Although it’s also true that you guys didn’t actually invent it. But come ON. Even if we let the false claim slide and award you the point, peanut butter hardly even begins to stack up in comparison to the myriad life-enhancing products of Caucasian imagination and industriousness including, for example:

  • Trains
  • Planes
  • Automobiles
  • The combine harvester
  • Air conditioning
  • Indoor plumbing and electricity
  • TV and radio
  • The internet
  • The cotton gin
  • Germ theory and modern medicine
  • The electron microscope
  • Lots of other great stuff, way too much to list

So you should be getting the picture by now that, even if we throw in wonderful things like early jazz and the blues (both of which white people also played a role in shaping and advancing), y’all are still WAY too far on the debit side of the ledger to be going around browbeating anybody about being “owed” a goddamned thing.

You’re right, though, about one thing, and one thing only: black skin is most assuredly NOT a crime. Speaking as a thoroughly Southern good ole boy of a certain advanced age, I can tell you there’s not a living soul in my fairly extensive circle of acquaintance who thinks it is, or at least ought to be. But there is no serious, good-faith argument to be made that “systemic racism” exists in America today, unless we’re talking about the reverse-racism that affirmative action actually amounts to.

Which doesn’t mean there isn’t a REAL crime associated with black skin that needs to be discussed, and that’s the way all too many black folks use the color of their skin as an excuse, a shield, a weapon, and an entitlement to phony “reparations” they didn’t earn, to be extracted from people who didn’t incur any such debt. It ain’t “reparations,” it’s robbery. Last I heard, that was still a crime.

It’s clobberin’ time

Tucker rings the tocsin.

During Thursday’s airing of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the host, a supporter of Trump, said that it may be “tough” for Trump to win reelection if he does not adequately respond to civil unrest in the country.

“Not many people are saying it out loud on the Right. But the fact is that President Trump could well lose this election. In fact, unless fundamental facts change soon, it could be tough for him to be reelected,” Carlson said in his opening monologue. He said if former Vice President Joe Biden wins in November, the White House will be controlled by “radicals” who will “remake the country.”

“We’re fully aware that virtually nobody watching this show tonight wants to hear that, but it’s true, and key people around the president know that it’s true. They’ve seen the numbers,” he added. All the while, the chyron banner that appeared on the bottom of screen blared in all capital letters: “President Trump may lose this election.”

Carlson asserted that social cohesion in the country is eroding after nationwide protests have occurred following the Memorial Day death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“An awful lot of people voted for Donald Trump precisely to avoid a moment like the one we’re now in,” Carlson said, stating that Trump’s instincts were on the side of order, tradition, and stability, but Carlson later remarked that during the rioting, Trump “said little” and “did less.”

Doc Zero sees it too:

Bonchie, too, is shaken:

Tucker Carlson took to the airwaves last night and delivered a message some don’t want to fathom. Namely, that Trump could actually lose the 2020 election. Later, he would make his case by laying out the current chaos engulfing the nation, the shifting public sentiment against the President, and by playing audio of a woman having her car attacked by rioters. She was told by the 911 dispatcher to “call city all” and that she was in the middle of a “sanctioned event.” Eventually, the mayor of her city would apologize, not to the terrorized woman, but to the rioters.

It was a powerful reminder that people are being abandoned across the country, whether it’s business owners in the “CHOP” or residents in Democrat cities in red states. Governments are failing their people out of a fear of retribution, or in some cases, direct support of anarchy. But perhaps more troubling, and something Carlson brought up, is that so many voters seem to agree with or sympathize with the chaos.

There’s simply no “seem” to it. Not when they’re in your face, burning your city, and beating you about the head and neck with skateboards, there isn’t. Then again, anybody who, after having Proggy throw a brick at his head and cave his skull in with it, nonetheless still refuses to face up to what Proggy is deserves what he’s surely going to get. Because Proggy doesn’t stop. He never stops. He doubles down.

Like the “security moms” of the Bush era, many voters put Trump in office, not because they are enamored with his personality, but because they saw him as strong. He’s not currently living up to that image. To many on the right, that’s not a bad thing. They want to see people in these Democrat run cities reap the consequences of their voting patterns, with the assumption that they won’t like it and will turn back.

But what if there is no backlash coming? Carlson points that possibility out by noting that GOP leaders in Congress, in all their fecklessness, have said little about the current chaos except that it’ll blow back on Democrats. Everyone keeps thinking we’ll reach the end of the track on crazy train, but the truth is, the train never gets there. People just end up giving ground and becoming more and more conditioned to the current reality. The only real way to not let this become the new normal is to stop it.

That means Trump has to retake the initiative. The case for Trump was never to sit back and watch the country devolve into chaos. Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz could have done that with a lot less consternation about their tweeting. Trump was not elected for his awesome personality or ability to bring the country together. People know that, and I don’t think anyone is pretending that’s who he is. He was elected precisely to avoid moments like we are currently in. It’s not a coincidence that his failure to take action over the last month has led to his worst approval ratings in recent memory. Meanwhile, Trump was tweeting about Carly Fiorina yesterday, someone most swing voters don’t even know exists.

The Left has continually wailed about Trump being a dictator since 2016, then wilfully acted in such a fashion as to require dictatorial measures to reign in their madhouse excess lest it destroy the nation. Well, so be it, then. They’re going to wail and call him “Hitler” no matter what he does. So give them something to wail about for real. Crush them. Crush them utterly.

“Voting is for fools”

A bleak but mostly on-the-button Tucker rip.

Friday, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson expressed his frustration with Republicans for not being more proactive in their approach to responding to the civil unrest and mob rule plaguing the country.

Carlson laid out a scenario that began with a feckless Democratic Party throughout the Trump presidency but came “roaring” back in little time to control everything. He suggested the lack of response from elected Republicans could lead one to believe voting was the most effective way to bring change.

“[R]epublicans refused even to defend the principle of equality under the law — the foundation of this country, the most important thing we have, not defended,” he said. “Really, in the end, the only people who gave anything in the revolution were the ones waging it. Our leaders, very much including Republican leaders, shamefully, were focused on meeting their demands. So what should we conclude from what we just saw? The message, unfortunately, could not be clearer: Voting is for fools. You vote. You put these people into office with their votes, and in return, they patronize you, and when it matters, they abandon you. They have contempt for you. You know they do. You can smell it. It’s obvious. Voting doesn’t work. But when you riot and you burn things, and you hurt people, you get a very different response. When you do those things, they snap to attention.”

Carlson proposed a scenario with which former President Barack Obama were still in office and asked what the response might be by his administration. He argued he would not have shied away from exercising his authority.

“You’ve got to wonder how all of this would have played out if Barack Obama was still president,” Carlson said. “Let’s say it was the summer of 2011, right before Obama’s re-election campaign started in earnest. Imagine if, at that politically critical moment, violent mobs of Mitt Romney supporters began burning and looting major American cities, screaming racist slogans as they did it. It’s hard to imagine but try. Imagine then if the Romney mod defaced and tore down statues of Martin Luther King in public parks. Imagine if every street sign in America identifying a Martin Luther King Blvd. was ripped to the ground and suddenly defaced with graffiti. Most Americans would find that appalling and disgusting. We certainly would. But let’s say the mob kept doing it because nobody stopped them. Imagine the people who planned to vote for Barack Obama in the fall couldn’t admit that in public, if citizens wearing Obama hats were physically assaulted, punched in the face, thrown to the sidewalk and kicked. Imagine if anyone who spoke out against the mobs or showed support for Obama’s campaign was censored or de-platformed, like tech companies that operated at the pleasure of federal regulators. Imagine if those same monopolies censored President Obama himself.

“Ask yourself, sincerely, if all of that played out, how do you think Barack Obama would have responded?” Carlson asked.

Why, like the hard-Left tyrant he was and is, of course. On the other hand, a good, hard dose of the alternate reality spelled out by Tucker above might be the perfect medicine to inflict on the Left at this point. I’d stand up and cheer to see it, whether it was done as a corrective measure pour encourager les autres, self-defense against their revolutionary violence, or nothing more than simple bloody-minded vengeance.

It couldn’t be clearer that simply sitting idly by in the name of a misguided “tolerance” while a toxic Marxist infestation was allowed to run rampant through American government, institutions, and culture has yielded disastrous results. If a dictatorship we must have, we’d better make damned sure it’s one that works in our favor, not theirs.

The Great Erasure

Common ground between the Left and the jihadists: neither can stand up under the pitiless gaze of history.

Did you know that Paul McCartney once wrote a song celebrating slavery? Well, neither did he. It took about half a century after “Penny Lane” was a hit for the Beatles before historians decided that this street in Liverpool was a legacy of the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Sir Paul wrote the song as a nostalgic ode to Penny Lane as the scene of childhood happiness “beneath the blue suburban skies.” The Liverpool-born musician could not have known, while composing the cheerful tune in the mid-1960s, that scholars would one day conclude Penny Lane was probably named in honor of James Penny, a local mariner who made his fortune in the slave trade in the 1700s. Historians have not been able to prove this as a certainty, but the mere possibility was enough to inspire vandals to deface a sign in Liverpool with graffiti: “RACIST Lane.”

History is a horror show for liberals, who only look to the past in search of grievances they can exploit in their remorseless quest for political power. The liberal has a quasi-religious faith in Progress, which means that yesterday — another McCartney song title — was self-evidently worse than today. The past was a bad time, according to liberals, who see nothing there but oppression. Your nostalgia for the pleasant memories of childhood is almost certainly racist, and probably also sexist and homophobic. Now that I think about it, didn’t McCartney’s lyrics in “Get Back” mock someone who “thought she was a woman, but she was another man”? Isn’t this the textbook definition of transphobic hate speech?

“Get back home, Loretta,” McCartney sang, but wherever she (or he) was from, Loretta probably wouldn’t recognize his or her hometown today. The vandal horde is everywhere, smashing windows and tearing down statues. If Loretta was from Seattle, a trip back home might land her (or him) in the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ). Protesters in Seattle chased off the police, took over the neighborhood, and set up what seems to be an attempted 21st-century reenactment of the 1871 Paris Commune. If nothing else, the drug-addled mob in CHAZ are proving the truth of Karl Marx’s aphorism that history repeats itself, “the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.”

Americans have been fed a racist diet, just the same as the Beatles were raised on racist streets in Liverpool. This is what we are told by the devotees of Progress who go rummaging through the past like Indiana Jones exploring a tomb in a remote jungle — Raiders of the Lost Racism, as it were — in search of something to be angry about. How many statues of Christopher Columbus have been vandalized or removed since George Floyd’s death? I lost count last week at four, but I’m pretty sure it’s more than that now. In destroying monuments to Columbus, however, the vandal horde is at least taking aim at the Spanish empire rather than our own English forebears, but most statues of Columbus were erected as a celebration of Italian heritage. No less a liberal than New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo expressed some resentment of attacks on Columbus, saying “the statue has come to represent and signify appreciation for the Italian-American contribution to New York.” So it’s OK for the mob to vandalize symbols of your heritage, but not Cuomo’s heritage.

Of course, it’s difficult to understand what a statue of Columbus in New York has to do with police brutality in Minnesota, but we can’t expect vandal hordes to be logical. In their frenzy of destruction, the anarchist mob in Boston defaced a memorial to the all-black 54th Massachusetts Regiment, made famous in the Oscar-winning movie Glory; in Philadelphia, a statue of abolitionist Matthias Baldwin was attacked. What liberals call Progress often appears to be a descent into barbarism, but however ignorant the mobs are of the dead men whose monuments they deface, the vandals are nonetheless certain that (a) because the past was bad, therefore (b) anyone who lived in the past is undeserving of respect.

Excuse me for pointing out what absurd consequences might result if we follow the logic of Progress to its possible conclusion. So much news in the headlines of the past few weeks has been absurd that I don’t think we can rule out further absurdities. Our happiest childhood memories are now subject to being denounced as hate crimes, and the history we’re not allowed to celebrate keeps repeating itself anyway, sometimes as farce, but too often as tragedy. “I believe in yesterday,” Paul McCartney once sang. Soon we may be left with no yesterday to believe in.

Which, of course, is the whole point. The goal of the Progressivist project from its very beginning was to mold the unsatisfactorily-evolved masses into New Progressive Man, with or without his consent. What better way to do it than by starting out with a blank slate?

The loudest silence you’ll ever hear

Speaks volumes, too.

How very odd, the way Planned Parenthood’s original mission has been so thoroughly erased from history.

Ready or not, it’s war

Same as with the COVIDIOT shamdemic, the statue-toppling is NOT about what they say it is.

The Monument-Destroying Mobs Don’t Hate The Confederacy, They Hate America

Well, actually, wrong. They DO hate the Confederacy too, rest assured. But do they hate it more for all the usual reasons, or more because it’s part of American history?

To suppose this has anything to do with the Confederacy or the Civil War is to misunderstand completely the nature of what is happening right now in America. The people who are pulling down monuments, defacing statues, and demanding U.S. military bases be renamed do not have a limiting principle. They don’t distinguish between those who fought for freedom against the British Empire and those who fought for union against the slave states of the South. To them, the Union itself was a crime against humanity long before the South seceded. What kind of moral monster would ever fight to preserve it?

This is the 1619 Project come to life. If the American Revolution was fought to protect and preserve slavery then the entire history of American colonization and westward expansion is a litany of crimes that no one should celebrate. The Founding Fathers are no less guilty than Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis — not just because they owned slaves but because they founded the United States, a nation conceived not in liberty but in white supremacy.

In other words, as is always and forever the case with the Left, their position and attitude is based entirely on balls-out lies.

You will nevertheless hear, and likely have already heard, arguments for a limiting principle, a way to justify pulling down Confederate monuments while allowing monuments to Christopher Columbus or Thomas Jefferson to stand.

The comedian Andrew Schulz tries to make this argument in a recent YouTube video. Confederates were traitors and slavers, he says. Their monuments were built to glorify a treasonous and failed effort to secede from the Union.

Another bone I must pick. Many if not most of those monuments were built for a two-fold purpose: not to honor The Lost Cause itself—it’s entirely ridiculous to argue that they were—but 1) to honor what were fundamentally honorable men, accomplished and in some cases legendary soldiers about whom it might more fairly be said had varied motives for enlisting themselves in a less-than-honorable cause; and 2) to soothe the passions of the recently-conquered South, and help ease its transition back into full membership in the larger nation that vanquished and then severely abused them after the war.

There’s a reason, for example, the anarchists and Antifa rioters in Seattle’s “autonomous zone” set up barricades and hung a sign saying, “Now Leaving The United States.”

These people don’t want to improve America. Like the monuments they despise, they want to tear it down.

Bingo. In the end, this is a real war we’re in now. We can only hope the Great American Awokening to that sad fact didn’t come too late to have any hope of fighting back, and of prevailing. Because the one and only alternative scenario is too awful for any liberty-minded person to contemplate.

Update! Common ground, with some extremely unlovely bedfellows.

Destruction of art is a common theme. In the late 18th century, the Jacobins took hammers to the kingly statues that adorned Notre Dame; today, the original heads, buried by sympathizers with posterity, are in a museum. The pharaohs encouraged the defacement of monuments to their predecessors (which is why many Egyptian artifacts are literally defaced).

Moving ahead a few years, the Taliban, 20 years ago, blew up the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan, which had stood for more than 1,000 years. ISIS destroyed Syrian edifices and artworks that had outlasted millennia. Al Qaeda attacked our architecture and what it stood for (inaccurately, since the World Trade Center was a symbol of central planning, not capital).

You would think our pluralistic society would be more sophisticated. Nope: In the past decade, Yale has removed stained-glass windows depicting slavery, after an employee smashed one. Better to forget slavery?

Movies? You can’t watch “Gone With the Wind.” Nobody should watch this movie and think, “Gee, those were the days.” But a properly educated audience can understand that the movie shows the stark horror of failure, because the cause was wrong, and doomed.

We probably ought not watch “It’s a Wonderful Life,” as it glosses over black servitude, and so we should just miss its lessons about capitalism. J.K. Rowling has “incorrect” thoughts about the trans movement — so kids shouldn’t read “Harry Potter.”

“Black servitude,” is it? My increasingly-pissed off white ass, it was. Annie, the live-in maid character in IAWL, was a salaried employee, doing honest and honorable work for people that were clearly enchanted with her and treated her as fully one of the family. Anybody who perceives anything whatsoever demeaning or degrading about that once-common arrangement ought to extract their head out of their ass toot sweet, if it takes a fucking heavy construction crane to do it. And she was hardly “glossed over,” as can be readily discerned from even a most cursory viewing of the film.

Some black lives matter

And some…do not.

On D-Day, everything everyone fought for, white, black, asian, native or hispanic has been overshadowed by the forces of communism using social justice as a cause. The one undeniable fact, if they are bothering to deny it, is that all of the damage done has been done in cities run by communist Democrats. Most of the black lives lost have been lost in communist democrat-run cities by police forces under their control, acting (it would be logical to conclude) under their direction. In Chicago, long run by communists (whether they admit it or not) black lives are cast away by the dozens and there are no protests for those black lives. If black lives truly mattered to these governors and mayors, they would not use them to their political advantage. They allow shootings to go on every day in order to get gun control legislation. They use it as an excuse, but those young black lives are lost and these mayors turn their backs, because they are benefiting politically. These same mayors can’t stand people protesting to feed their families, run their businesses and make a living, but when their communist political allies, Antifa and BLM protest, the mayors protect them, let them out of jail as soon as they are arrested, the police are told to stand down. If the people want control of their cities, they have to start by ridding themselves of the communists in city, state and county governments.

We are not witnessing a racial revolution, that is a lie being told by communists in both the Antifa and BLM leadership to present their opposition as racists, but there is nothing racist about hating communists or communism, that is the duty of every human being who does not want to be ruled by a dictator, forced to live under conditions of the pandemic lockdown forever. The deception is to ask if black lives matter, which, of course they do. Black lives were lost in all of our wars, all the way back to the Revolutionary war, more black lives have been lost in some wars than others, but black lives have mattered throughout the history of this nation. There are black lives that have mattered to the economy of the nation, entrepreneurs who revolutionized business. There are major corporations in the hands of black lives that matter. In order to be faithful to truth and history, it must be recognized that the celebration of freedom is to celebrate black lives honorably and courageously employed in maintaining that freedom and trying to overthrow that nation is to disrespect those black lives. But Black Lives Matter is a political organization not a term, not a recognition, not an understanding so to agree that black lives matter is not to agree with Black Lives Matter.

It is not enough to recognize that black lives matter. Most will happily agree that black lives pursuing the American dream, agreeable to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, patriotic to the idea of freedom and the republic matter more than black lives pursuing communism, who are antagonistic to the ideal of freedom and individual rights, seeking a dictatorial government in the false belief that they will be in charge of it.

I feel sorry for those who have had their heritage co-opted by an aggressive political organization (BLM), feeling bullied into going along with the communists thinking that they are standing up for racial equality. It is a difficult distinction for many of them to make. The pride they feel when seeing images of people like Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Jr, Jesse Owens, the Tuskegee Airmen and others is rightfully theirs and it is not for Black Lives Matter, the organization, to co-opt those images and put them to work for their cause of communism, a cause most of those individuals would not support.

And yet that is precisely what they’ve done—brazenly, audaciously, unconscionably—just one among an endless and ever-growing litany of despicable Leftist crimes.

Getting woke to the Left

Jim Hoft posts some sobering scenes from the aftermath of the Left unchained.

For the past week the left has been protesting, rioting, looting, shooting officers, beating innocents, torching national landmarks across the United States.

This is the fruit of the American left: pain, chaos, suffering, violence, fear and arson.

Indeed it is. But if the past week’s irrational and opportunistic anarchy results in a long-overdue awakening to the Left’s true nature as the ruthless enemy of all that is good, decent, and reasonable in America, then it may yet prove to be worth it. Hoft’s third entry puts it straight: “This isn’t a protest, this isn’t solving any injustice, this is the result of leftist media and celebrities encouraging divisive racism and violence to hurt the country and thus Trump.” Bingo, nailed it in one.

But let’s not forget to include the full-throated endorsement and assistance of Democrat-Socialist Party elected officials at all levels across the nation, too. The bottom line is that when it comes to Leftist hatred, wanton destruction, and evil, All Are One.

No peace, no justice

As always, the violent, fascist Left has it exactly backwards.

These rioters aren’t Martin Luther King Jr. or even Malcolm X. They are Alex and his droogs from “A Clockwork Orange” out for a night on the town, albeit with less style and a duller patois. Violence is the point.

Protests responding to the cruel police killing of George Floyd have been turned into nationwide riots and looting. This is not about Floyd anymore. His killing was universally condemned, the cops involved were fired, and homicide charges have been brought against the officer who knelt on Floyd’s neck. More should be done, and what has been done could have been done sooner, but folks are not looting the Nike store in downtown Chicago for greater justice. They just want to smash things and take stuff.

The very real problems of police misconduct and racial injustice have been buried under rubble and broken glass, then obscured in a haze of smoke and tear gas. Progress was possible— in his last State of the Union address, our bombastic Republican president was boasting about criminal justice reform — but that requires basic civil order. The problem with “no justice, no peace” is that although the absence of justice will indeed corrode peace, without peace there is no possibility of justice.

It’s a good enough column generally, but he downplays the very real threat the rioters present by blithely dismissing them as fundamentally unserious about their nascent revolution, motivated not by ideology and hatred, but by boredom. When cities are burning, property and businesses being destroyed, and innocent people being brutally beaten and murdered, that’s a mistake, I think.

Priorities

Ted Cruz lays ’em out, in another of his trademark bursts of unleavened awesomeness.

Backstory:

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz unloaded on his Democratic colleagues on Friday in response to Sen. Dianne Feinstein sending a letter to President Trump declaring that she is “disappointed” in his administration’s plan to block funding to the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran. The Democrats’ demand of Trump to help Iran get $5 billion in aid, Cruz noted, comes “at the exact same time” that they are “blocking desperately need relief to small businesses in America.”

“The coronavirus has hit Iran hard, with the potential for even greater spread in the region,” the high-ranking Democratic senator tweeted Thursday along with a copy of her letter. “In the interest of international security, President Trump should support Iran’s request to the IMF for emergency funds to contain this virus.”

“I am disappointed to see reports that your administration intends to block Iran from receiving $5 billion in humanitarian aid from the IMF to combat the coronavirus pandemic,” the letter begins. “Providing these funds to Iran would help it respond more effectively to the disease and mitigate the risk of further destabilization in the region.” She goes on to urge Trump to reconsider so that the infamously tyrannical regime can receive the billions in aid from the IMF.

Feinstein’s letter was issued the same day that Senate Democrats blocked an urgent request from Sec. Mnuchin to increase the amount of cash in the emergency small business loan program recently established by Congress from $350 billion to $600 billion.

As the New York Post’s editorial board explains, instead of agreeing to the desperately needed increase in cash on Thursday, the Democrats “issued partisan demands”: “They insisted the new money include $60 billion for ‘community-based lenders’ that serve minorities, women, nonprofits and other groups. And the bill also had to OK an immediate $250 billion for cities, states, hospitals, food stamps and other needs.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) explained in response that “everything is an opportunity.” This was an “opportunity” to address “disparities” she suggested are plaguing the country.

“And if they don’t get their way, no one gets a dime more,” the Post’s editorial board noted. “Never mind that businesses face bankruptcy or that 17 million people filed for jobless benefits in recent weeks.”

Now, if you’re a Real American and not a despicable Commie toe-rag, you’d read that last sentence just as it is. But Pelosi and her fellow Democrat-Socialists see something more like this:

Never mind that evil capitalist running-dog exploiters face social justice or that 17 million people are now permanent wards of the State and reliably dependent Democrat-Socialist voters.

See? Easy peasy. As Cruz says, it’s all a matter of perspective.

Hate crime

One asks one’s self, will this psychopathic “woman” NEVER leave the poor man alone? And the answer comes back: of course xzhe/zxher/zxhim/zxhit won’t.

Jack Phillips, the baker who was sued for refusing to make a cake for a same-sex wedding because of his religious conscience, was back in court on Thursday, this time for turning down a request for a “gender transition” cake.

The first lawsuit against Phillips, who owns Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado, worked its way up to the United States Supreme Court, which in 2018, reached a 7-2 decision that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission acted with hostility toward religion when it ordered Phillips to make cakes for same-sex weddings as well as conduct so-called sensitivity training for his employees.

The Christian Post reported on how Phillips will once again be represented in court by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF):

The same state agency pursued another case against Phillips because he declined to make a cake celebrating transgenderism. Phillips filed a lawsuit against the state alleging harassment and it subsequently dropped the matter.

After that, a local trans activist and attorney named Autumn Scardina called Phillips’ Denver-area bakery to order a custom made gender-transition cake. Scardina waited past the appeal deadline so he could file a new lawsuit in a different court.

Scardina is seeking more than $100,000 in damages, fines, and attorney’s fees, according to the Post.

Mr Scardina is a lawyer himself, in partnership with his shameless, ambulance-chasing brother and some other blood sucking leech, although all mention of “Autumn” has been scrupulously from the firm’s website at present. As such, I very much doubt that the deranged lowlife has any real interest in collecting “damages” from Phillips. His true interest is now solely in destroying this Christian baker utterly—ruining him beyond all recovery or redemption. Tragically, infuriatingly, the demented freak’s campaign of hatred and destruction is succeeding:

Mr. Phillips said Thursday that he gladly serves all customers, but that “I just can’t celebrate every event or express every message through my cake art.”

The lawsuit, which seeks about $100,000 in damages, fines and attorney’s fees, “could cost me everything,” he said.

“I already lost 40% of my business and more than half of my employees during the first case,” Mr. Phillips said. “I still haven’t regained that income, nor been able to resume creating custom cake art for weddings. During this current coronavirus, I’ve been hit just as badly as many other small business owners.”

“This attorney’s relentless pursuit of Jack was an obvious attempt to punish him for his views, banish him from the marketplace, and financially ruin him and his shop,” said ADF legal counsel Jake Warner, who argued the case in court. “For these reasons and others, we are asking the court to dismiss this case.”

The above story provides a rundown of the relentless vendetta Mr Scardina has waged against Phillips, including this:

By now, you’ve probably heard a lot about Jack. He serves everyone that walks into his shop. But he can’t create custom cakes that express messages or celebrate events in conflict with his deeply held religious beliefs. This includes cakes advocating drug use, Halloween cakes, and cakes disparaging people, including those who identify as LGBT.

On June 26, 2017, a local attorney named Autumn Scardina called Masterpiece Cakeshop and requested a custom cake: designed blue on the outside and pink on the inside to celebrate and reflect Scardina’s transition from male to female. The shop declined the request because the message of the cake contradicts Jack’s religious belief that God creates us either male or female.

But the day that call came wasn’t just another summer day. It was the same day the U.S. Supreme Court announced that it would hear Jack’s first case—Jack and Masterpiece Cakeshop were all over the news.

And a few months later, Scardina made another request of Masterpiece Cakeshop. This request was for a custom cake featuring Satan smoking marijuana.

Ummm, sorry, guys, but that ain’t the way I heard it at the time. Not quite.

In the months that followed, the bakery received requests for cakes featuring marijuana use, sexually explicit messages, and Satanic symbols. One solicitation submitted by email asked the cake shop to create a three-tiered white cake depicting Satan licking a functional 9 inch dildo. Phillips believes Scardina made all these requests.

Of course he did. Who the hell else in the Denver area would be seething with anti-Christian bigotry enough, would be so personally obsessed with Phillips and his beliefs, and is plain old batshit insane enough to do all this?

OBLIGATORY DISCLAIMER FOR PURELY LEGAL PURPOSES: Now, y’all must understand that I am NOT suggesting that anyone should undertake any such thing, nor would I ever. But I probably couldn’t keep from laughing myself silly if one fine day I read that some enterprising soul had taken it upon himself to visit some old-school rough justice on this sick freak by walking him way out in the woods someplace, nailing him to a tree with railroad spikes through his palms and feet, and then using a rusty old Uncle Henry to complete his “transition” to full-bore “womanhood.”

“I Used to Think, Are They Really that Evil? Well, Yes they Are”

Welcome to the party, pal.

Mike Lindell, the inventor and CEO of MyPillow, announced Friday his company will convert 75 percent of their production from making pillows into making masks in an effort to combat the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.

Lindell told Fox News he is working with the Trump administration on the type of masks needed. “Obviously, we specialize in cotton and we found out different materials that they didn’t want — latex. So, finally, we got the final prototype three days ago,” he said. But after Trump invited Lindell to speak at a press briefing in the White House Rose Garden Monday afternoon, verified blue checkmarks and members of the media did not take kindly to Lindell’s remarks to Americans.

Lindell, who just announced his company will produce 50,000 masks a day by the end of the week, was mocked for sharing his faith from behind the lectern, and encouraging Americans to turn to God in this time of crisis.

“God gave us grace on November 8, 2016 to change the course we were on,” Lindell said. “God had been taken out of our schools and lives, a nation had turned its back on God. I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the Word. Read our Bibles and spend time with our families.”

Lindell audaciously daring to mention God in the course of his remarks was of course just too much for the Evil Left, who viciously attacked him as “insane,” an “awful human being,” and “an embarrassment,” among other such vileness. Happily, their bilious, reflexive hatred splashed back on ’em some.

An executive editor at CNN retweeted a video of Lindell’s appearance with the sarcastic caption, “In case you were wondering what My Pillow is doing in a time of coronavirus.” That’s odd, because Lindell just said he spent three days converting a 200,000-square-foot factory into a facility to produce millions of masks for American health-care workers, so we know exactly what he’s been doing during the public health crisis.

Insty jumps in with one of his simple, pithy slashes: “More than CNN has done. And even if he’d done nothing at all he’d be ahead of CNN, which as usual is mostly making things worse.” He also appends a couple of Twitter responses, of which this one is my personal fave:

Lindell went on to an appearance on Lou Dobbs to discuss his belated awakening to Who They Are, What They Do.

Mike Lindell told Lou Dobbs, “I heard Jim Acosta attacked me too and he was just 10 feet from me in the Rose Garden. This is just evil, Lou… CNN what they did to me? I’m sorry, I put out a message of hope to the country that God had given us grace on November 8, 2016 for such a time… I’m appalled by the journalists that I see there. I used to think are they really that evil? Well, yes they are.“

Y’know, most days I truly dread the coming schism—the Great Unpleasantness that will see the country torn apart, riven by another bloody Civil War. And then other days something like this happens, and suddenly I look forward to seeing some of these fucking assholes shot right in their goddamned empty heads.
