Racism, straight up

Sick-making, that’s what.

Episcopal Church Refuses To Resettle White South African Refugees, Citing ‘Racial Justice’ Commitment
Episcopal Migration Ministries has long resettled refugees in the United States, but is now refusing to resettle white South Africans.

Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe announced the decision on behalf of Episcopal Migration Ministries on Monday, just a day after 49 South Africans began their journey to the United States.

Rowe went on to say that the organization, which has a long history of receiving federal grants to resettle refugees, will terminate their agreements with the government. “We have determined that, by the end of the federal fiscal year, we will conclude our refugee resettlement grant agreements with the U.S. federal government.”

President Donald Trump extended refugee status to white South Africans amid concerns that the minority group is being subjected to racial discrimination and has been scapegoated by politicians who’ve called for violence against them.

“South Africa is confiscating land, and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social in February. “It is a bad situation that the Radical Left Media doesn’t want to so much as mention. A massive Human Rights VIOLATION, at a minimum, is happening for all to see.”

The Trump administration announced an executive order just days later, offering white South Africans refugee status in the United States. The administration cited “hateful rhetoric and government actions fueling disproportionate violence against racially disfavored landowners,” as well as a new law that will “enable the government of South Africa to seize ethnic minority Afrikaners’ agricultural property without compensation.”

Controversy erupted after Julius Malema, a member of the National Assembly of South Africa, chanted “shoot to kill” and “kill the boer” at a political rally in reference to the Dutch South African population.

Funny, innit, how when it’s Whypeepuh being systematically stripped of their fundamental rights, possessions, and property; brutally beaten, raped, and murdered in job lots because reasons; and literally genocided by a vengeful, lawless government and the savage mobs it incites, Amerikan shitlibs seem to be either willfully blind to it, blandly indifferent, or actively in favor of it. Funny, but not in a “ha ha” kind of way.

But hey, at least those poor, unjustly oppressed Nee-grows now have the opportunity to prove themselves every bit as competent, deserving, and sensible as their deposed former masters, right? All they ever needed was the freedom to succeed, Oppressor! Now that de White Debbil’s boot has been removed from de Black Man’s neck at last, just watch dose Darkies soar!!

Ummmm. Well. About all that

South Africa black-owned farms ‘failing’
Some 90% of farms redistributed to South Africa’s black population from white farmers are not productive, the government has said.

Land reform minister Gugile Nkwinti warned the land might be repossessed if the farms continued to fail.

Almost 60,000 sq km (23,000 sq miles) have been redistributed under policies aimed at benefiting black people who were left impoverished by apartheid.

The BBC’s Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg says some black farmers are likely to argue that they have been struggling to get the resources and skills to develop their land.

No worries; the global Handwringer Left sob-sisters will see to it they get their “resources” sure enough—completely free of charge, obligation, or expectation, again and again and again. Skills, on the other hand, will be another story altogether, or so I suspect. A sense of personal responsibility, duty, and the requisite “work ethic,” all left curiously unmentioned in the Beeb piece? Sorry, ain’t happening, not in a million bajillion years it ain’t. At least, it hasn’t over the last million bajillion years, at any rate; no reason to think that’s gonna change now just because certain Wokester idjits so desperately need for it to, so’s their cherished PC shibboleths don’t crash and burn right before their swollen, teary eyes, right?

Kipling saw the whole sorry mess coming long, long ago.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
And reap his old reward,
The blame of those ye better,
The hate of those ye guard—
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah slowly!) toward the light—
“Why brought ye us from bondage,
“Our loved Egyptian night?”

Take up the White Man’s burden—
Ye dare not stoop to less—
Nor call too loud on Freedom
To cloak your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper,
By all ye leave or do,
The silent sullen peoples
Shall weigh your Gods and you.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
Have done with childish days—
The lightly proffered laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years,
Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgement of your peers.

Huh. That ain’t gonna make the aforementioned teary-eyed Wokester idjits feel any better either, I shouldn’t think. Worse, if anything—particularly that sinister “judgement of your peers” implication.

Return to normalcy

Whatever “normalcy” means nowadays, if anything.

Let Freedom Ring! Trump Restores Liberties, Exposes Fake News, Makes Liberal Heads Melt: WOW Is it FUN!
I have been quite upfront about my alleged visit to the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

These days, I sleep well knowing that Joe Biden and his Marxist myrmidons are gone. I no longer lie in bed fully dressed until 7 a.m. in case the FBI kicks in my door and throws me into a cell without my Constitutional right to a speedy trial. In fact, I actually sleep well and wake up early to gleefully read what Trump said or did after I finished my Manhattan and fell asleep peacefully watching “Sons of Anarchy.” Why can I and other Constitution-loving Americans sleep peacefully? Because Trump is back, and so is the law of the land

Here is the sick part: all Trump has done is to re-establish the normalcy that We the People have come to expect. The fear of being tossed into solitary confinement in a D.C. gulag is, for now, not likely to happen to any American. Trump did that.

We peaceful conservative patriots no longer have to worry that we may be imprisoned for daring to speak freely, like that commie prag from the pinko ice cream company, Ben & Jerry’s.

That Marxist, ice cream-churning swine doggy was far more aggressive than I allegedly acted on January 6, and yet he knows he won’t spend a minute in jail having the guards beat the potato salad out of him. But he is too stupid to thank Trump for that freedom.

The only thing better than sleeping peacefully, drinking less to drown the anxiety, and once again enjoying my Constitutional rights, is watching Trump make the faces of liberals melt like those Nazis in “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”

I have spent much of my adult life in New York City, where I learned a phrase we didn’t have in Detroit, where I grew up: ball busting.

FACT-O-RAMA! Ball-busting, (also called “chopbusting”) is an East Coast phrase meaning, to make fun of someone/something.

Trump is a ball-busting ace. He knows what to say to make the liberals jump, jive, wail, and weep, and it’s wildly entertaining.

I love waking up to see men in dresses screeching like the little girls they wish they were over a joke Trump made hours after I have fallen into a peaceful sleep.

I laugh like a marijuana-chomping hyena (where it’s legal for hyenas to eat the doobies…) when my few remaining libdolt friends send me Facebook messages screaming, “YOUR president said men can’t have babies! How do you feel NOW, Nazi!?”

I couldn’t be happier with Trump back in the White House.

Said a mouthful there, Kev. Of all the many fine and wonderful things Mango Man© has done for America That Was this time around, the copious flow of shitlib tears just might be at the top of that ever-lengthening list. Another edifying consequence:

“We Study Fascism, and We’re Leaving the U.S.,” a Wednesday New York Times headline read.

Sure, plenty of well-known Democrats (mostly from Hollywood and the media) vowed to leave the U.S. in the event of a second Trump presidency: Sharon Stone, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Raven-Symoné, Whoopi Goldberg, Elon Musk’s gender-confused son Xavier Wilson, and even Cardi B rank among those who’ve at least hinted at that kind of radical action. But few of them have actually done anything about it.

But even the New York Times knows that nobody takes the vague premonitions of actors, entertainment media figures, and models seriously. To have three Yale professors who actually study the tragic events of the past century leave the U.S. because they think their country is going in the direction of Nazi Germany — well, that’s sensational.

The New York Times piece was a video opinion by history professors Timothy Snyder and Marci Shore who are married, and philosophy professor Jason Stanley, in which the threesome explained that they’d relocated to the University of Toronto, and they thought the U.S. was turning into a fascist state with President Donald Trump as its burgeoning supreme leader.

As I’ve said for a long time now, I could easily wish Trump really was the fascist dictator shitlibs love to weep, wail, and tear their hair out in great hanks about. If it drives idiots like those mentioned above from these shores for good, hey, that’s a plus far as I’m concerned. If this is fascism, then bring it on—all you want of it, plus some.

A brief history of American protectionism, tariffs, “free trade,” et al

PRO TIP: It was nothing like what you probably think it was.

Protectionism in the United States is protectionist economic policy that erects tariffs and other barriers on imported goods. This policy was most prevalent in the 19th century. At that time, it was mainly used to protect Northern industries and was opposed by Southern states that wanted free trade to expand cotton and other agricultural exports. Protectionist measures included tariffs and quotas on imported goods, along with subsidies and other means, to restrain the free movement of imported goods, thus encouraging local industry.

There was a general lessening of protectionist measures from the 1930s onwards, culminating in the free trade period that followed the Second World War. After the war, the United States promoted the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), to liberalize trade among all capitalist countries. In 1995, GATT became the World Trade Organization (WTO), and with the collapse of Communism its open markets/low tariff ideology became dominant worldwide. Protectionism has increased in popularity since the election of Donald Trump in 2016.

Britain was the first country to successfully use a large-scale infant industry promotion strategy. However, its most ardent user was the U.S. Economic historian Paul Bairoch once called it “the homeland and bastion of modern protectionism” (Economics and World History: Myths and Paradoxes, Bairoch).

Britain initially did not want to industrialize the American colonies, and implemented policies to that effect. For example, banning high value-added manufacturing activities. Thus, the American Revolution was, to some extent, a war against this policy, in which the commercial elite of the colonies rebelled against being forced to play a lesser role in the emerging Atlantic economy. This explains why, after independence, the Tariff Act of 1789 was the second bill of the Republic signed by President Washington allowing Congress to impose a fixed tariff of 5% on all imports, with a few exceptions.

Most American intellectuals and politicians during the country’s catching-up period felt that the free trade theory advocated by British classical economists was not suited to their country. The US went against the advice of economists like Adam Smith, Ricardo and Jean Baptiste Say and tried to protect its industries. Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States (1789–1795) and economist Daniel Raymond were the first theorists to present the argument of the emerging industry, not the German economist Friedrich List. List started out as a free trade advocate and only converted to the infant industry argument following his exile in the U.S (1825–1830).

Hamilton feared that Britain’s policy towards the colonies would condemn the United States to be only producers of agricultural products and raw materials. Washington and Hamilton believed that political independence was predicated upon economic independence. Increasing the domestic supply of manufactured goods, particularly war materials, was seen as an issue of national security. In his Reports, Hamilton argued that the competition from abroad and the “forces of habit” would mean that new industries that could soon become internationally competitive (“infant industries”) would not be started in the United States, unless the initial losses were guaranteed by government aid.

According to him, this aid could take the form of import duties or, in rare cases, prohibition of imports. He called for customs barriers to allow American industrial development and to help protect infant industries, including bounties (subsidies) derived in part from those tariffs. He also believed that duties on raw materials should be generally low. Hamilton explained that despite an initial “increase of price” caused by regulations that control foreign competition, once a “domestic manufacture has attained to perfection … it invariably becomes cheaper”.

In 1789, Congress passed a tariff act , imposing a 5% flat rate tariff on all imports. Between 1792 and the war with Britain in 1812, the average tariff level remained around 12.5%. In 1812, all tariffs were doubled to an average of 25%, in order to cope with the increase in public expenditure due to the war.

In 1816, a new law was introduced to keep the tariff level close to the wartime level—especially protected were cotton, woolen, and iron goods. The American industrial interests that had blossomed because of the tariff lobbied to keep it, and had it raised to 35 percent in 1816. The public approved, and by 1820, America’s average tariff was up to 40 percent.

According to Michael Lind, protectionism was America’s de facto policy from the passage of the Tariff of 1816 to World War II, “switching to free trade only in 1945”.

Somewhat surprising, no? What first got me to thinking about these weighty matters was Bayou Peter’s post on them, expounding Jeff Childers’s post on same. To wit:

It would be easy to dismiss yesterday’s announcement as dry, economic arcana — tariffs, trade deficits, bilateral agreements, country-by-country charts, and economic reports. But don’t be fooled by all the paperwork. What Trump did wasn’t just a historic across-the-board trade action.

It was a once-in-a-century power shift.

To understand how truly historic it was, look back to Bretton Woods, 1944 — the postwar deal where America agreed to carry the world’s economic burdens in exchange for geopolitical dominance.

After the devastation of WWII, the United States promised to help rebuild Europe and Japan, by opening our previously protected markets to foreign goods, keeping our tariffs low to nonexistent, providing the world’s reserve currency, and underwriting global security with American military power.

In return, other countries were supposed to gradually liberalize their economies, buy American goods, and play by the rules. But they never did.

Instead, they took our postwar deal —designed to help them— and ran with it. They piled up tariffs, non-tariff barriers, VAT taxes, and trade cheats while the U.S. kept its markets wide open.

For decades, the American working class footed the bill while foreign economies fattened themselves, and American elites made billions facilitating and perpetuating the grift. That was globalism. It’s not an ideology— it is a business model. And Trump just crushed the model.

I’ve always insisted that Trump is a helluva lot smarter than most people want to give him credit for. The obvious fact that he fully understands what his tariff moves are at bottom all about ought to establish his intelligence to all but the most reflexively stubborn Trump hater’s satisfaction.

Lots more yet to the above-linked posts, natch; dry and deadly dull as the subject matter may seem at first blush, you really, really want to read all three in their entirety.

Update! You gotta love it, you truly, truly do.

Tariff Liberation Day Has Arrived
Cue the mass hysteria. Donald Trump’s Liberation Day has arrived, as the decades of foreign nations tariffing our goods without reciprocal tariffs ends.

The tariff war between the United States and dozens of other nations just took a major escalation, as the president imposed reciprocal tariffs on a number of goods from a lengthy list of countries. (The tariffs are reciprocal in that if a nation tariffs 10% on U.S. goods, so will we on that nation’s products.) The president aims to bring manufacturing back to America and to cow hostile nations. While many economists and media figures are prophesying economic disaster, it is worth noting that tariffs during both Ronald Reagan’s presidency and Donald Trump’s first term boosted economic growth and wage increases here in America.

Trump declared in an executive order that he finds “underlying conditions, including a lack of reciprocity in our bilateral trade relationships, disparate tariff rates and non-tariff barriers, and U.S. trading partners’ economic policies that suppress domestic wages and consumption, as indicated by large and persistent annual U.S. goods trade deficits, constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and economy of the United States.“

While other countries have been allowed to impose extortionate tariffs on American goods for decades, America has often not imposed reciprocal tariffs, leading to a very unbalanced and unfair system that often drives manufacturing and jobs out of the U.S. It remains to be seen if Trump’s new tariffs can successfully bring home jobs and boost our economy.

Let the shitlibs whinge and complain as loud and as long as they like, Mr President, sir. They’re going to anyway, no matter what you do or don’t do, which we all know full well by now. So let the sound of their rage, frustration, and bitter despair be as music to every ReichWingNaziDeathBeast© ear, sayeth I. Just more for decent, right-thinking Americans to point and laugh at, and that’s a thing of goodness.

Poetic justice, served up PIPING HOT

Dumb, mouthy, belligerent bint harangues fellow straphanger for criminally-aggravated wearing of a MAGA hat in a public place, gets hers.

Woman whose MAGA hat meltdown, subway wipeout went viral is an ‘extremely liberal’ luxury-brand specialist
The woman who received “instant karma” after berating a President Trump supporter on the subway — and then face-planting on the platform after trying to grab his “Make America Great Again” hat — is an increasingly “agitated” creative director for several luxury brands, The Post has learned.

Alberta Testanero, a 55-year-old dual Italian-American citizen, went viral for the caught-on-video incident on the 6 train in Midtown last week after branding the MAGA fan “uneducated” and a “racist.”

Testanero has gone off the deep end when it comes to politics, a former colleague claimed.

“She and I stopped being friends a while ago, as she became extremely liberal and very agitated,” the one-time coworker told The Post.

A freelance creative director and branding specialist who has worked with posh outfits like Tiffany & Co., Coach, Bergdorf Goodman and Kate Spade, Testanero prides herself on “maintaining the highest standards,” according to her online profiles.

“An experienced team leader, I have a keen understanding of the relationship between corporate strategy and creative vision,” the Murray Hill resident and Fashion Institute of Technology alum boasts on her LinkedIn. “No matter how large or small, I approach every project with enthusiasm always furthering brand vision and maintaining the highest standards.”

On a Facebook account apparently belonging to Testanero, she shared a family photo of the Obamas and a bizarre image of “Joe” and “Barack” friendship bracelets.

The lefty art designer publicly called out the MAGA fan, wagging her finger in his face while aboard a northbound train around 11:30 p.m., according to a video that has since racked up more than 5 million views.

The vid is all kinds of wonderful; tragically, it’s on Instagram, and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to embed the durn thing here. Best I can do, it seems, is to provide a link to it (a bigger, better, more beautymous version is included with the NYPost article, along with several other extremely edifying photos as well) and hereby urge all y’all to hie thyselves thither and enjoy watching this fugly, obnoxious bimbelina get her just deserts again, and again, and again, and again. Trust me, folks, you’ll be mighty glad you did.

Adios, maricon

Once again, justice is served at long last.

Brazen ‘migrant influencer’ who flashed cash, urged other illegals to squat in US homes deported to Venezuela — after causing uproar on flight
The brazen “migrant influencer” who infamously flashed around wads of US government cash handouts and encouraged other illegal border crossers to squat in American homes has finally been deported back to Venezuela — after causing uproar on the flight back.

Leonel Moreno, who encouraged illegal migrants to “invade abandoned houses” in sick TikToks, was sent back to the narco state this week, after President Trump resumed deportation flights to the country.

Venezuela’s Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said Moreno was “welcome” back, however, the freeloading migrant caused disruptions on the flight and upset his fellow passengers.

The Venezuelan border crosser, however, failed to appear for his required check-ins with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), leading the feds to arrest him in Gahanna, Ohio, in March 2024.

An immigration judge ordered Moreno’s deportation last October, but Venezuela refused to accept any deportation flights at the time.

Once President Trump returned to the White House and commenced his mass deportation campaign, Venezuela began allowing the US deportation flights to land again.

You’ll remember this dick with ears from those staggeringly obnoxius TikTok vids, no doubt. Glad to see you back in your shithole homeland where you belong, scumsucker.

Justice, DONE

Aww, that’s a doggone shame.

BREAKING: Greenpeace Loses Dakota Access Pipeline Trial, Faces Bankruptcy and Extinction
In 2016 and 2017, the left vented its shock and fury at Donald Trump’s unexpected victory by, among other things, protesting the construction of an oil pipeline in North Dakota. The “mainstream” media claimed that Energy Transfer was ramming its Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) through all sorts of sacred Native American lands and that no one wanted it.

n fact, Energy Transfer went out of its way to work with natives and locals, and most were glad of the opportunity and prosperity DAPL would provide. Nonetheless, environmentalist activists co-opted a protest by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, making it into the face of the spurious claims. Professional protestors from near and far got into the act, throwing sand into the project’s gears at the construction site, at funding sources, and in the PR sphere. In the end, these actions delayed the project by five months and added approximately $350 million to the cost, Energy Transfer claimed in a lawsuit it launched in 2019.

Energy Transfer named three Greenpeace entities — Greenpeace USA, Greenpeace International (based in the Netherlands), and Greenpeace Fund — as the organizers and funders of this sabotage. And on Wednesday, a North Dakota jury found that the infamous non-profit must pay the price for its actions.

The jury found in favor of the plaintiff on almost all counts, ruling that Greenpeace must pay hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. The loss is expected to bankrupt the half-century-old environmentalist nuisance organization.

There will doubtlessly be an appeal — Greenpeace’s Senior Legal Adviser, Deepa Padmanabha, said, “We know that this fight is not over.” But at any rate, this is a great day for Americans and people everywhere who are sick to death of environmentalists, BLM, and other disruptive, violent, and destructive Marxist mobs upending their lives under the guise of the right to protest.

Join me as I raise a glass to Energy Transfer and DAPL — Bravo!

Yes indeedy. Also, encore!

GTFO awready

Schlichter’s columns are always a lot of fun, but his latest raises the standard to a level few if anyone else can ever hope to attain.

Boot the Ungrateful Foreigners the Hell Out of America
I am loving this uproar over that communist terrorist fluffer from Columbia University, Mahmoud Khalil, who the feds detained with an eye towards booting his sorry rear out of our glorious country. First, I love how the commies are crying about it, how suddenly they care about free speech even though they carried absolutely nothing about free speech when normal patriotic Americans were being rounded up for daring to oppose abortion and bogus elections. I love how they’re calling his totally legitimate arrest a “kidnapping” when this guy’s unseemly and eager onanism over his dirtbag Palestinian buddies’ kidnapping of innocent Israelis is what got him busted in the first place. But mostly, I love this imbroglio because it shows that we Americans are not going to take any more guff from uppity foreigners.

We’re booting this tool out of our great country. It may take a bit of time to wind its way through the courts, but he’s gone. We should be booting his wife out, too, before she drops her kid – hey, a fetus leftists don’t want to kill! – and it gets American citizenship. In fact, we should boot out all these agitators and malcontents, deporting every single weirdo, loser, and mutation who hates America and thinks they have a free pass to try and gin up their Marxist revolution here on our sacred soil.

We’re done. We tried tolerance, and they attacked Jewish Americans. They would murder the rest of us too given the chance, so we’re not giving them one. Get the hell out.

And they will get the hell out. The law is very clear, and it’s very clear that this guy is going to soon be on a one-way flight to whatever geographic zit he popped out of. So will a bunch of his fellow travelers. See, we’re done with ungrateful foreigners. We’re not taking it anymore. American idiots are bad enough. We don’t need to import any more idiots. In fact, we need tariffs, idiot tariffs. And idiot reparations from the garbage countries they come from, but that’s down the road.

For now, it’s enough to throw them on a plane and get them the hell out of here, and the Trump administration is doing just that. ICE isn’t stopping with this creep. There are plenty of other aspiring Bin Ladens on the list. Playtime is over. If you overstay your visa, get out. If you run around singing and dancing and supporting terrorists, get out. If you jaywalk, get out. No slack, zero tolerance.

Every time some loudmouth alien radical gets deported, a patriot gets his wings.

More still to come; the Europenii in particular come in for some exquisitely hilarious slaps upside the haid. Go ye and read of it, for It. Is. Good.

Some days are just better than others…

Trump’s deportation of the criminals is occurring daily. Here is the video of the El Salvador reception of nearly 300 of them, to be housed in the El Salvador terrorist prison, CECOT.

Watch: Drag Queens Surround the Kennedy Center in Protest of Trump’s Takeover
Hundreds of protesters — many of them clad in big wigs, makeup, and lots of leather — descended on the Kennedy Center on Saturday as part of a “Rally & March for Drag.” It was the latest in a series of protests in response to President Donald Trump’s ban on Kennedy Center drag productions, many of them aimed at LGBTQ+ youth under 18.

“This president is demonizing a marginalized community in order to control the arts in America. It’s shameful, immoral, and weak,” drag artist Tara Hoot told The Advocate before the event. “At a time when our artists and LGBTQ+ communities are under attack more than ever, we need to show up and speak up against this fascist takeover of the arts.”

Last month, President Trump ousted Joe Biden-appointed board members and named U.S. envoy Richard Grenell the organization’s chairman.

“Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on February 7. “The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!”

How very disappointing, that I have yet to see even one daring soul suggest rounding up all the annoying, tucked-peenie protesters, sealing them up inside a cargo bay of one of Elon’s Falcon 9 rockets, and launching them directly into the Sun forthwith.

Crooks, robbers, and thieves

Yet another question that answers itself.

Annnnd your obligatory “Show more…” end run.

12 billion dollars was allocated to the Navy for submarines and not one submarine was built.

42.5 billion dollars was allocated to hook people up to high-speed Internet, and not one single person was hooked up to high-speed Internet.

7.5 billion dollars was allocated to build EV charging stations. Only 37 stations were built. Thats 200 million per charging station.

Where is the rest of the money?

Three guesses, first two don’t count. More and more I’m coming to think that all US ProPols, at every level, should be required by law to wear black bandanas over their faces, like the highwaymen of old. That way we’d all know right away what we were looking at, and no mistakes need ever be made about it. The truly pressing question, being brought home to us more forcefully with every passing day, is whether ANY of these villeins ever intended to spend the taxpayers’ money on what they claimed they were going to.

Aww, don’t bother, that one kinda answers itself too, really.

Deep dive into some dirty water

EXCELLENT run-down of the DOGE dustup, what it all means, the history behind it, how Real Americans should perceive and interpret it, and more, from Jeffrey A Tucker. It’s a Tweet/X/whatever, and a pretty long ‘un too, so rather than do an embed of the original post I’ll just fast forward to the inevitable “Show more…” workaround.

I’m concerned that many people do not understand the historical and institutional context in which the DOGE labor reforms are unfolding. They look at this as if these are some random, chaotic, arbitrary, strange, and even cruel measures to impose on a devoted civil service.

The reality is very different, and I’m not even sure that Elon entirely understands this. For more than a century, even dating back to 1883, the civil service has grown and grown without check from the elected branch, either the presidency or the legislature . The bureaucracies have ballooned from a few to 450 or so. The bloat and absurdities have grown too.

Get this: no one has ever known what to do about it. Not Coolidge, not Hoover, not Nixon, not Reagan, not Clinton, no one. No president has been able to crack this nut. The only reforms ever to have made it through are those that make the administrative state bigger, never smaller.

Countless cabinet secretaries have come and gone, always with the intention of making a change but leaving saddened, demoralized, outwitted, outgunned, and ultimately devoured.

No president has seriously taken on this problem because they simply did not know how. The unions are powerful, the intimidation from the deep institutional knowledge is overwhelming, the fear of the media as been powerful, and every single president comes to power vaguely feeling threatened by the intelligence agencies. The industries that have captured every single agency were also far too powerful to unseat or control.

This combination of institutional inertia has blocked serious reform for a full century. No one has dared. No one has even had a theory or strategy about what to do about this problem. It had become so terrible that most people in politics have simply surrendered, like homeowners who know there are rats in the basement and bats in the attic but long ago gave up trying to fix the issue.

All this time, the American people have felt themselves ever more oppressed, weighed upon, taxed and regulated, spied upon, brow beaten, and otherwise overwhelmed. Voting never made any difference because the politicians no longer controlled the system. The bureaucracies ruled all.

The Biden years underscored the point. We didn’t even need a conscious and present executive. We only needed a figurehead to pretend to be president, just like the Soviet premiers in the old days. The institutions ran everything and the people controlled nothing.

How to deal with this? Trump alone figured it out in his last term: he simply took charge of the agencies in a limited way. There were screams of horror and plots galore. They performed a long stream of clever schemes to destroy him and show him who is boss, which is not the democratically elected president but the forces behind the scenes.

The job of the president, goes the message from all the insiders, is to PRETEND to be in charge but not actually do anything meaningful. Shut up, mug up, obey, and disturb nothing, let the administrative state do its thing without oversight or disruption, and then you will get your honorary library and bestselling autobiography and go down in history as great.

Trump refused the deal and look what happened.

Four years have gone by and Trump is back again, this time with a determination to slay this beast, one that he knows all-to-well. The efforts of DOGE and MAHA and MAGA are epic in scope, breaking a century of pathetic acquiescence toward the deep, middle, and shallow states, at last using moral courage to confront the problem head on, come what may.

They are profoundly aware that they MUST act fast and with some degree of ferocity, even recklessness, else we will default back to the status quo of leaders who pretend to be in charge while the embedded system runs things behind the scenes.

It has been this way for TOO LONG. The voters this time have demanded change, and mustered the faith to believe that change is possible. This is precisely what DOGE is attempting, to make good on a promise, a promise that for once the voters actually believed was credible.

They simply must succeed. There might never be another chance. The way of failure is the path everyone knows the US was on, toward economic stagnation, political scolerosis, and eventual irrelevance in the unfolding of the next stage of social evolution.

As comprehensive, clear-cut, and just dead-on-point good as we’re ever gonna see, I believe. I started to do a little boldfacing here and there (I especially dug that “voters…have demanded change, and mustered the faith to believe that change is possible” bit), but then it hit me that there’s just way too much rich, buttery goodness here to easily be able to find a stopping point once I got started. Some things are just better left alone; they stand well enough on their own, thanks.

Just trying to get ahead

Only one real reason I’m running this story at all, and if you haven’t figured it out by the second or third paragraph…well, I just don’t really know what to tell ya about that.

Elon Musk’s ultimatum email to federal workers sets up power struggle in DC, among top Trump officials
Elon Musk is finding himself locked in a power struggle with top Trump administration officials over an out-of-the-blue email blast to federal workers Saturday demanding that they list their professional accomplishments last week — or risk being fired.

Multiple Trump-appointed agency and department heads — including the Department of Defense, State Department and FBI — have instructed their employees to ignore the email despite the billionaire’s public warning that “failure to respond” by 11:59 p.m. Monday “will be taken as a resignation.”

Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has already pushed for sweeping personnel cuts across the government, with the latest move raising concerns that the Tesla CEO intends to make more personnel decisions based on replies to the missive.

“If Elon Musk truly wants to understand what federal workers accomplished over the past week, he should get to know each department and agency, and learn about the jobs he’s trying to cut,” moderate Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) griped on X.

“Our public workforce deserves to be treated with dignity and respect for the unheralded jobs they perform. The absurd weekend email to justify their existence wasn’t it.”

Uh huh. Poor put-upon souls, with all those difficult, demanding “unheralded jobs” they for some mysterious reason don’t seem able to describe, delineate, or even speak about in any way, shape, or form. And now, the entirely obvious video embed.

Heh.

Jurassic Media “big names” taking The Walk

This hurts me so, so much, I just…I just can’t even.

And Another One Gone: Veteran NBC News Anchor Heads for the Exit
Joyless (ok, I’ll be a good boy, her name is Joy) Reid is out at MSNBC. TrumpHating fanatic Jim Acosta was relegated to a dismal timeslot at CNN, so he took his ball and went home. He resigned and is now doing podcasts that have less production quality than “Wayne’s World.” Chris Wallace, who left Fox News for greener pastures at CNN, announced his departure from that network less than a week after Trump’s November election win. Norah O’Donnell “voluntarily” gave up the anchor chair made famous by fibbing Dan Rather, delivering her last broadcast on January 23. Former “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd left NBC in January.

They’re dropping like flies.

And now, there’s another one gone: after ten years manning the anchor’s desk at NBC News, Lester Holt is saying goodbye.

That’s a seriously scrumptious litany of shitlib “journolismist” luminaries up there in that first ‘graph, one sure to gladden the heart of any ReichWingNaziDeathBeast OG Blogger such as li’l ol’ moi. Keep the updates coming, Bob, I beg of you. As for the execrable Lester Holt: See ya, wouldn’t wanna BE ya, don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord etc etc.

Update! And while we’re on the subject, an email update from the NY Post just came over the transom with further deets on KillJoy Reid’s Long Goodbye.

Joy Reid bid farewell as MSNBC hosts compare her show’s sudden cancellation to ‘losing a limb’ during emotional segment
Ousted MSNBC host Joy Reid welcomed her fellow network stars onto her canceled show during its last minutes on Monday night to bid her a final farewell and reflect on their time together.

The network announced the sudden cancellation of “The ReidOut” on Sunday night after four and a half years on the air.

Reid used her final hour on television for the foreseeable future to remind her audience about the importance of remaining vigilant and advocating against “fascism” as she welcomed MSNBC anchors Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, and Lawrence O’Donnell to the broadcast.

The show’s axing came amid restructuring at the network following former MSNBC President Rashida Jones’ departure and Rebecca Kutler’s take over. Reid’s show was also highly controversial following her frequent criticism of white people and focus on issues like Black Lives Matter, the Israel-Palestine conflict, immigration, and other polarizing topics.

Not a single damned one of which the stupid bint knows anything whatsoever about, mind.

The liberal host has also been a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, who even celebrated her show’s cancellation and deemed her an “obnoxious racist.”

Which, of course, is perfectly true and accurate.

Reid lauded Maddow for her praise and returned her compliments by unofficially knighting her as the network’s “fearless leader.”

Wallace went a step further and even equated Reid’s departure to “losing a limb.”

“And I think that my reaction to the end of ‘The ReidOut’ and your departure is despair. And the only thing that chips away at that for me, is that despair is the autocrat’s tool. It’s their most effective weapon. It costs nothing. It’s easy to deploy, it’s contagious. And then it puts in motion all the actions they want. Hopelessness. Isolation. Exasperation. Giving up. And so the only reason I will not wallow in what I feel about you leaving is, is because I think that’s what they want,” Wallace said.

Aww, the poor widdle dear. Cwy me a river, cupcake; get it alllll out, you’ll feel a lot better. Normally, I’m not one to recommend despair to anybody as a coping mechanism, but in your case I’m willing to make an exception, just this once.

MAN BITES DOG!

Well, this is a refreshing change of pace. Kinda-sorta, in a manner of speaking.

DC judge blocks bid to stop DOGE mass firings, federal data access
A federal judge rejected an emergency request from Democrat-led states Tuesday to hamper cost-cutting efforts by Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Washington, DC, US District Judge Tanya Chutkan denied the petition by 14 Democratic states to issue a temporary restraining order against Musk and DOGE.

“Plaintiffs legitimately call into question what appears to be the unchecked authority of an unelected individual and an entity that was not created by Congress and over which it has no oversight,” Chutkan wrote.

“In these circumstances, it must be indisputable that this court acts within the bounds of its authority. Accordingly, it cannot issue a TRO, especially one as wide-ranging as Plaintiffs request, without clear evidence of imminent, irreparable harm to these Plaintiffs.”

Chutkan said that the plaintiffs, led by New Mexico, had not met the “high standard for irreparable injury.”

Oh, I dunno about all that, now. Seems to me that “imminent, irreparable harm” to these scum-slurping shitlib swine is basically the entire point of the exercise. Unless and until the baglappers have been harmed irreparably, their exsanguinated carcasses cast into Outer Darkness for all time, to the last man Jack of ’em, the job won’t be well and truly done. Otherwise, it just amounts to the same tired three-card-monte scam the DC Swamp critters have been running against America That Was all along, so why even bother? Then again, could be I’m all wet about the whole sordid mess.

However it all shakes out when all’s said and done, seeing a judge—ANY judge, a DC judge, no less—step up to prevent the shitlibs from getting their way rather than providing overt assistance as usual really IS a refreshing change of pace, no two ways about it.

Exodus

Talk about draining the Swamp, another thing Trump appears to have learned is that there’s more than one way to skin that particular cat.

With President Trump and his DOGE team slashing government waste, and with massive layoffs and firings of government workers, a glut of real estate is coming to market in the DC metro area.

If you’ve ever been house hunting, there is a good chance you’ve been to realtor.com to take a look at listings. The “Map” button at top right will show the listings on a map of the area you are searching. You will typically see three types of listings:

1) Existing listings, which have the price in a white bubble. These generally constitute most of the listings.

2) “New” listings, which have the price listed in a bubble, along with a blue header that states “New.”

3) “Coming Soon” listings, which also have the price in a bubble, and also a green header that states “Coming Soon.” These usually make up a very small percentage of the listings.

Based on all the “New” and “Coming Soon” listings for the DC Metro area right now, there is a mass exodus taking shape.

Throckmorton has screen grabs of said listings, which are sure to warm the cockles of every MAGA heart. Bonus points to anyone who can enlighten us in the comments section as to exactly WTAF a “cockle” is. As many times as we’ve all used the phrase over the years, can’t honestly say I’ve ever known for sure myself, nor cared enough to look it up.
