No love lost

A bleak but frank assessment of where we now stand.

What do I owe to my country?  Its central government is thoroughly and irredeemably corrupt. It is bankrupt both fiscally and morally. As of this writing, its judiciary has shown itself incapable of defending the Republic against the depredations of leftist rabble. The tentacles of its bureaucracy reach into the lives and wallets of the productive class “eating out the substance of the people” exactly as Jefferson warned.  Yet still, with the stench of corruption and theft pervading the country, this government  assumes my loyalty.

What, pray tell, has it done to deserve it? Mobs of the indoctrinated expect that we should all just “get over it” and “come together to heal” as if the gangrenous clot of necrotic tissue that is the political culture of this nation will ever heal.  Our rulers, our media, and half our “countrymen” piss down our backs and still insist it’s raining. The fealty of helots is what the Lords of Washington expect. They will not get it from me.

The loyalty of free men is reserved for a government of equals, not an aristocracy of reptiles. The latter is what we suffer now. The former we once possessed, but it lies now in the dust of history. The outward form and function remain, but the spirit of liberty, which animated it, has gone. The ties by which free men bind themselves voluntarily to any form of government have long since been sundered by the actions of those who have chosen to rule rather than govern. I will not suffer those ties to become shackles.

Since my forbears bequeathed to me a form of government that no longer exists, I am released from further obligation to the abomination that has replaced it. My loyalty, like my liberty, belongs to me and me alone. It is mine to give or to withdraw as I see fit. I owe the rulers of this land nothing: not life, not liberty, not the pursuit of my own happiness. These things are mine from my first breath to my last gasp. They cannot be abrogated, regulated, or terminated by the denizens of a distant city who presume to know what is best for me. These…people (I do not have the words for the contempt I feel for them) have polluted our forms of government, destroying what they can, dismantling what they cannot.

Everywhere is grift and graft. They have taken nearly everything, yet they still want more. They want my body shackled, my spirit humbled, and my mind enslaved. They try to steal the very breath from my body with their filthy rags. They have trampled upon my God-given rights, indoctrinated my children, accused me, threatened me, and silenced me. Now they have stolen even my choice from me. This government and its leftist appendages have betrayed my trust and half my fellow citizens treat me and mine with undisguised contempt. My loyalty to them and to their government is at an end.

For my own part, I can only add that the Usurper Biden is not my president, and he never will be. And Amerika v2.0 is not my country. He closes with an appropriately humble examination of some of the unknowns.

I do not think I lack personal courage, but the simple fact is that I know what I do not know, and anyone who has not been in a fight like the one coming can say no different. Any man who claims a virtue not yet tested by the fight we face is a liar and a fool.  As a young man, I would have welcomed the test. Now, decades on, I ponder the depth of my commitment, the strength of my arm, and the clearness of my mind. Is the man I am now fit for the fight? Only the fight itself will reveal the truth of it. I simply do not know how I will behave when the shooting starts and to claim otherwise is the height of hubris. At the least, I hope that this old man will give good account for blessings received while on this good earth.

No good thing ever achieved by man remains unsullied by the grasping hands of those who seek to exploit it. So it is with these United States. Time, trials, the certainties of fallen human nature, and the machinations of the unprincipled have accomplished what they always accomplish. This nation will crumble and the ensuing chaos will engulf us all to one degree or another. Something good, either a restoration of the old or the institution of the new, will rise from the blood and ashes. I pray that I do not love this life so much that I would live it as a slave or be unwilling to expend it for the sake of those to come. That, at least, is my hope.

Amen, brother. No matter how diligently we may try to suss it all out, the fact is that NO ONE has the vaguest idea what lies ahead. We’re walking on uncharted ground now, trapped in a singularly bewildering place and time that overwhelm all human ability to map or anticipate, with no historical precedent to serve as our guide.

Incredibly enough, I only just realized that I didn’t already have the Burning Platform blogrolled, even though I’ve linked and excerpted from there many times over the years. So I fixed it.

Update! Requiem for a murdered nation.

Let’s keep things simple, shall we.

We are facing the end of the Republic. It is easily argued that it already expired, the point being that now we face a deep state coup, massive election fraud, huge corruption, an attempted Marxist takeover, and foreign control from China.

Democrats are traitors to the Republic. Republicans are not much better. The rule of law is dead: nothing that Trump has attempted to do has been done. He is surrounded by the deep state. The three letter agencies (of which so many of you are so afraid) have sold out to the dark side. They are part of the deep state.

Many of you are sold on the PSYOP that there is a plan in place. You may follow QAnon. “Trust the plan.” There is no plan. The attorneys who have attempted to fight the election fraud in court are fools. Why? Because they are working in an old system, where they had success with big lawsuits in court, and cannot get their heads around the massive corruption of the rule of law and the court system. They are working in an old system that no longer has merit. The supreme court is not doing its job. The Lawyers will not save you; you have to save yourself.

I would like to be wrong, and I would be happy to be so. But I don’t think so. Unless Trump pulls a plan out of his ass, Biden is getting sworn in on the 20th of January. The reprieve we had during the four years of the Trump Presidency will be over.

Most of America is sleeping. They expect that we will get over this. They expect a ‘return to normal.’ That is not going to happen.

There are a few basic facts that Real Americans need to accept and internalize:

  • This IS “normal” for us now
  • It will stay that way unless and until WE CHANGE IT OURSELVES
  • There is no legal, nonviolent way to make that happen

The clock is ticking. Is it never too late to right a grievous wrong? Or did Meriadoc Brandybuck have the right of it on the Pelennor Fields when he despairingly said “too late is worse than never“?

Chinese wild cards

Pulling ’em from a crooked deck.

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that my theory is correct, and that the upcoming DNI report on foreign interference in the 2020 election is incredibly damaging to China and the Democrats, and that it lays bare specific instances of corruption where China has influenced individuals to aid in the theft of the election, both Democrats and Republicans.

Let’s then posit that Trump does invoke the Insurrection Act, declares martial law of some sort, maybe to order either a national redo of the election, or a redo in the fraudulently stolen states.  Let’s further say that Trump actually arrests the most egregious criminals.

Okay, so what then?

Whatever it is, it won’t be pretty, it won’t be fun, it will go on a lot longer than certain overconfident types prefer to imagine, and ultimate victory is by no means a sure thing. But read on to see what the ChiComs have cooking for us next.

Theory of Everything

Bill drops a real MOAB of a bombshell analysis.

The Trump strategy ever since election day seems to have focused on achieving two goals:  First, to convinces as many people as possible that the election was fraudulent and, second, to demonstrate that the media, the tech oligarchs who control much of the public square, the Democrats, and the courts are equally corrupt , and up to their hips in the election theft.

In the face of this, the same targets are whining that Trump is “destabilizing” America.

I submit that is exactly what he is doing, and he is doing it deliberately, if you define America as being a creature of the progressive Democrats, the tech oligarchy, the media, and a judicial system seemingly unconcerned with the Constitution, but only in applying bad precedent to create even worse precedents.

…I consider the Chinavirus a terror attack aimed primarily at the US, but encompassing the west in general as a secondary target.

With this in mind, here is what I think.

I think Trump knew the China was waging 5g (unrestricted) war on us, and had been for many years.  It may have influenced his decision to run for President.

I think the reason for the unprecedented venom of the attacks on Trump has been due to the mobilization of all of China’s 5G assets in response to Trump’s turning the tables and beginning to answer China’s attacks with the same sort of 5G warfare (persuasion, economic means, political means, and so on).

I believe that the nominal leadership of the War on Trump, people like Pelosi, Swalwell, Schumer, and all of the long term, ossified Democrat political leadership, are, in one way or another, acting as Chinese proxies.  cf.  Pelosi’s Communication Director/Registered Foreign agent for China, Swalwell’s honeytrap honey, Feinstein’s Chinese chauffeur/agent of twenty years, and many others that we don’t know about.

…I had thought Trump was trying to decide whether to cross the Rubicon, but I believe I underestimated him long ago.  I believe he crossed the Rubicon when he came down that escalator in NYC five years ago.  What he is doing now is getting ready to storm the gates of Rome.

In six days, I believe that Donald Trump intends to settle all American family business.

Bucketloads of crucial stuff between my ellipses, of which you should read the all, with likewise brilliant followups here, here, and here. Kudos to ya for this excellent work, Bill.

Move on

This sort of thing is becoming tiresome, at least to me.

WHAT NOW? The Fight for Our Freedom Continues Despite SCOTUS Ruling on Texas

Well, it should—indeed, it must. But the futile hope to see this grievous wrong righted via legal means should be dispensed with at this point. Indeed, it must.

We have to decide are we willing to live in a country where Obama judges ignore justice and rule on their own desires?

Are we willing to live in a country where the FBI attacks honest courageous Americans for calling out corruption rather than deal with the criminals committing the corruption?

Are we willing to live in a country where hard-working Americans pay for government excess and corruption while Democrats create non-profits so they don’t have to pay taxes?

Do we want to live where the upper crust makes millions and billions sending our jobs overseas while allowing anyone to cross our borders?

Do we want to live where babies who miraculously survive abortion are murdered?

Do we want to live where you are forced to wear a mask to stop a cold- like- flu that those under 75 are virtually immune to or be forced to take vaccines that may make us sick?

Do we want to live where Big Media is worse than the Pravda and Big Tech is worse – where lies are the truth and the truth is lies and where our every step and word are observed or censored?

None of us want any of this. Today we fight on. We will never surrender our freedom. We will work through the courts and fight for justice. But we will never live in tyranny.

Hate to be the one to clue you in on this, Joe, but you ARE living in tyranny. And if the only way Americans will “fight” to secure justice is to “work through the courts,” then we’ll all go right ON living in tyranny. Another example:

Will A Small County In Northern Michigan Be The Key To Overturning The Nation’s Election Results? America Should Find Out On Monday

Having just witnessed seven members of the USSC brazen reject their duty and shit on their sacred oaths—three of them ostensibly “originalists” appointed by Trump—America certainly doesn’t have to wait until Monday to find out.

The soap box has failed us. The ballot box, ditto. The jury box just collapsed in a sodden, stinking heap before our very eyes, whatever the weaselly fictions conjured by the Slippery Seven to justify their betrayal.

That leaves us with just the one. Time we all stopped wasting our time clutching at straws and faced the facts, I think. There are magazines that need loading, and there’s a clock ticking.

Whither now, and how?

A look at the practical realities.

It would be quite a task to launch and maintain a Revolutionary Army today.

I give any attempt, save in sparsely populated areas, a 72 hours survival window before the powers that be, Trump or no Trump, fall on them like the wrath of God and obliterate all those not willing to surrender.

So the only way to move forward with this would be to act like a surreptitious force of irregulars like any insurgence operating with limited resources in occupied (by the government) terrain.

Like the IRA or pisslim terrorists or any similar force.

In the late 1940s future Israelis convinced the British to leave Palestine by these methods.

And most of those that would be willing to participate have zero experience in this kind of life and operations and have never been on the opposite side of the forces of law and order and quite to the contrary.

I’m not saying it can’t be done. But I wonder about (a) our disposition and (b) basic ability for it.

From the standpoint of theory or of dreams, a true, honest to goodness, all out, civil war is the best thing that could happen for us IF we were to give one now.

From the standpoint of practicality the probability of it being successful is very small.

We waited too long.

And we didn’t prepare enough when the preparing was good.

Mind you, the notion is “a true, honest to goodness, all-out, civil war.” My fear is that the best we can hope for is a series of limited, very confused, and short skirmishes that would resolve nothing, waste good, decent lives and only prove to all those pusillanimous and comfortable “I’m not gonna fight you no matter what you do to me” types that they were right in not getting involved.

Look, I’m not against it.

In fact, I’m very much in favor of civil war because I don’t see any other way for our country to survive as something decent and not the commie-fagoty thing the demonKKKrats want to “fundamentally change” us into that flies would fly away from because it would be too much, even for their maggots.

But I’m a realist, a practical individual, and a modest student of systems and trying to keep a clear head about this.

The Constitutional Republic (July 4th, 1776 – November 6th, 2020) is dead of a deadly disease: leftism plus corruption.

We could put it on suspended animation while we give a civil war (emergency surgery) and try to bring it back to life.

The problem is that as the surgeons we know the chances of a successful surgery and reanimation in the present circumstances are…small for lack of resources and time and patient condition.

Since the alternative is unthinkable I’m in favor of the surgery.

The alternative is we don’t have a country, anymore.

But let us not go into it thinking it will be a remake of 1776.

It would be…quite different.

Ohh, I’d say that’s about as safe a bet as bets can get. Lots more here, all worth careful thought.

American apocalypse

Riders on the storm.

Lately, I have found myself turning to the Book of Revelations, written by the Apostle John and transmitted to the world in the first century A.D. Everyone is familiar with the vision of the four horsemen in Rev. 6:1-8, where they appear with the opening of the first four of the seven seals that bring forth the cataclysm of the end times.

In our “time and setting,” one might think that we are witnessing the last days of the American Republic, following massive electoral fraud, the suppression of facts by the media, the ubiquitous practice of censorship by the tech platforms, and the (so far) pusillanimous refusal of the courts to rectify the greatest electoral scandal, by several orders of magnitude, since the defeat of Andrew Jackson in the “corrupt bargain” of 1824.

Given the cultural forces that have been at work undermining the joists and beams of the nation, the impending calamity comes as no surprise. The four horsemen are riding again, and their names are Feminism, Climate, COVID-19, and the Democratic Party.

I cannot pronounce on the tenets of any specific communion, but I do believe that without faith in the transcendent, however mysterious and elusive, and without holding to a morality based on the values of truth and courage, then in consequence “whatsoever worketh abomination” (Revelations 21:27) will wreak destruction upon a people and a nation.

The four horsemen of the American Apocalypse are riding hard and, in the absence of popular conviction and institutional integrity, the sequel will not be in doubt. In Holman Hunt’s celebrated painting The Light of the World, based on Revelations 3:20 and representing Christ standing before a closed door, it is instructive to note that the door has no handle and can be opened only by the dweller inside. The religious symbolism is obvious and is elaborately explained in Jeremy Maas’ Holman Hunt and the Light of the World, but in our context, the message is that the citizens of the country and the courts within have been called to open the door and let in the light of truth. The fate of the Republic hangs in the balance.

Looks like that fate has today been officially sealed.

Washington — The Supreme Court on Friday rebuffed a last-ditch attempt by Texas to block electors from four battleground states — all of which backed President-elect Joe Biden — from voting in the Electoral College, delivering a fatal blow to President Trump and his allies in their quest to overturn the results of the presidential election.

The high court refused to take up the lawsuit filed Monday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that took aim at the election results in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin.

“Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot,” the court said in an unsigned order.

But Justice Samuel Alito, joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, said the court does “not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.”

Ace sums up the grim tidings.

The ultimate Friday Night News Dump: The Constitution is repealed; America is no longer a democratic republic.

“Standing” is a doctrine without much rigor. Judges find standing when they want to take a case, and don’t find it when they want to bury a case.

Yes, that’s true: The Court has no discretion to not take the case. The Constitution says they must take it.

But whatever, I guess the Constitution is a tax now or something.

Well, no. It remains the sad, spindly parody of itself it was long ago incrementally reduced to, over many years of painstaking and deliberate effort by the Left: a total irrelevancy, a meaningless document stripped of any but purely historical interest, bearing no relationship whatsoever to the governance and “law” of this contemptible joke of a banana republic.

The Democrat-Socialists and the evil Left should have been stopped dead in their tracks well before their lengthy campaign of treasonous destruction had advanced to this extreme. Because of our reluctance to recognize the enemy and engage him, there are no good choices left to us. Ironically, the torpor of ordinary Americans—thoroughly conciliatory people whose only wish was to be left alone to live their lives in peace by the tyrannical Left—has made the very war they so desperately hoped to forestall unavoidable.

So be it then. The last die has been thrown, the final hand dealt. Whether out of cowardice or corruption, the so-called “Supreme” Court chose to traduce their oaths with today’s outrageous transgression against sober jurisprudence. With that betrayal, there now remains but one course of action left for Team Liberty: fight or die.

Lock and load, folks; the battle for the tatterdemalion scraps of freedom and dignity we still enjoy is shortly to be joined, for real and for keeps. We are about to learn just how many Americans remain truly American. May enough of us prove worthy of our proud, noble heritage to turn the dismal tide at last.

Update! Build back better.

“The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressman, have decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law,” Texas GOP chairman Allen West said in a statement, “resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences. This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the U.S. constitution and not be held accountable. This decision will have far-reaching ramifications for the future of our constitutional republic.”

The “constitutional republic” HAS no future; it’s long been dead, and today the last spade of earth was shoveled onto its grave.

West also suggested that “law-abiding” states should “bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”

A capital idea, one I support wholeheartedly. But that new Union had damned well better make building the ability to defend effectively against all-out military attack by Progtardistan a top priority, right from the git-go. Otherwise, Freedomlandia’s survival will be measurable in weeks, months at the outside. Rest assured that such a war of conquest seeking the re-subjugation of the breakaway nation’s citizenry is more than a mere “possibility” or “concern”; it is an absolute certainty—a matter not of if but of when.

Let them take arms update! Aesop draws a line under it.

With this dismissal, the Supreme Court of the United States has just ruled that the Constitution of the United States no longer has jurisdiction over the United States. In so doing, they have also self-deligitimized any jurisdiction they formerly possessed.

The only answer to that has to start with gunfire, and end with nooses.

Conduct yourselves appropriately. The entire social contract is therefore dissolved.

If you swore an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that bill has just come due. The government of the United States has now entered into a state of war with its own people.

If there is no Constitution, there is no law, no republic, and no allegiance due to any authority constituted under it and subservient to it. That includes the national government, and every former US state and territory. At the stroke of a pen, they have all become pretenders.

The time for talking has ended. Come as you are.

May God have mercy on my enemies, for I shall have none.

Earlier, he also speculated on some potential opening gambits.

If a few cubic yards of concrete accidentally get poured into an underground vault, you ain’t repairing that for some time.

The same is true if you weld manhole covers and service plates to their rings.

If you shoot the boss, they can replace him in 15 minutes. If you hit the truck with the tools and supplies, that takes days to weeks to replace. But if you take out the guys who fix the stuff, they take months to years to replace. And the other ones don’t want to show up for work either, afterwards.

BLM and Antifa already have a rep for burning things, and trying to derail trains. They should get 100% credit for anything like that going forward, forever.

If someone shoots a guy driving a truck, there’s a body. But if someone drops a letter off with pictures of his kids at school, and he decides maybe he ought to call in sick, there’s no body, and little to follow up on. (One might even have the envelope delivered at a truck stop, and suggest he uncouple, and return home without his load.) Same result.

A train track missing a rail on the outside of a medium curve will usually derail a train. (With modern rails, you have to bridge the contact between the section with wire or something, which BLM has figured out, per recent news reports.)
If that derailment happens to interfere with a major industrial plant, arterial roadway, etc., that’s a two-fer.

This is the same reason military manuals recommend dropping tall objects (trees, towers, smokestacks) over roadways, bridges, and power transmission lines. Half the effort, twice the result.

A great many more at the link, and more yet in the comments. Our would-be masters know not what they’ve done, methinks. But they went ahead and did it anyhow, so may they have as rough a ride as can be imagined from here on out.

The long steal

America, New and Old.

One would like to believe these restrictions will soon end and things will return to normal, but consider that we’re still taking our shoes off in airports, and it’s been almost 20 years since the 9/11 attacks. The government doesn’t give up power easily.

The coronavirus has been an incredible boon to the ruling class. This includes government at all levels, where busybody mayors and governors have shown enthusiasm that rivaled slippery federal government frauds like Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Government now has almost unrestricted power to pick and choose the winners. Amazon, Wall Street, Zoom, and various virtual industries are booming. Meanwhile, the working class—made up of waiters and bartenders—finds its employers shuttered. These establishments’ entrepreneurial owners and their dreams are now broken. Many will never recover.

Over the past month, we’ve heard a lot of talk about a stolen election. The story certainly seems to have some legs. But, regardless of the particulars of this contest, the election was stolen long before 2020.

It was stolen in 1965, when millions of foreigners began to be imported to enrich corporate balance sheets and increase the ranks of Democratic voters. No one would think it democracy to make China or Mexico the 51st state, with these new “citizens’” votes overwhelming those of Daughters of the American Revolution or former members of Patton’s Army. But importing 60 million people over 50 years, a population equivalent to the nation of Italy, is treated as a perfectly normal thing. America only had 180 million or so people when this radical social engineering began.

In other words, our country and the ability of the American people to pick its leaders was taken away long before 2020. The swift “bluing” of conservative strongholds such as Texas, Georgia, and Arizona is all part of the plan. The end result will be the one-party governance that we see in places like California.

Whether democratic or not, a country’s laws, customs, and leaders reflect and embody its character. If Trump was the last gasp of the old America, Biden is the embodiment of the new America and its managerial ruling class. Biden will leave little personal mark upon things, and not only because he is senile and lacks independence. He is not really in charge. No one person is.

In this new nation, which has slowly emerged from the social revolution of the 1960s and the managerial revolution of a generation before, the elected leader—like the old Soviet party secretaries—is simply a figurehead for a vast, complex, consensus-oriented party apparatus. And that class does not want an independent people, capable of self-government or resistance. They’ve locked nearly everyone into a system that makes any such gestures a fast track to poverty and powerlessness.

The new America doesn’t need bread and circuses, it has credit scores and Netflix and human resource departments to keep its people in line. People don’t even need to leave the house. And it’s all quite a bit easier for them that way.

The widespread propaganda, rules, and restrictions of 2020 provide a glimmer of hope. Those attached to this new order know that in mingling with one’s fellows at the pub, the water cooler, and in church, we would quickly realize we’re not alone in our anger and frustration. Real-life connections and organizing are the key to an authentic right-wing political movement.

It’s not a coincidence that the Founders met in taverns, nor one that our current ruling class is closing them down.

The more closely you look, the more clearly you see: in New America, there are NO coincidences.

Komrade Kooper is very disappointed in you people

So I’m afraid you’ll all just have to be punished.

North Carolina will soon be under a new, modified stay-at-home order, including a 10 p.m. curfew, Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday.

The new rules aimed at limiting gatherings go into effect Friday at 5 p.m. and are scheduled to run through 5 p.m. Jan. 8.

Or, y’know, however long it takes you serfs to learn your lesson and do as you’re told.

The new executive order also increases restrictions on alcohol sales, ordering businesses to stop selling alcohol after 9 p.m. The state had previously limited alcohol sales until 11 p.m. in an order first implemented in August.

“We will do more if the trends do not improve,” Cooper warned.

Oh, I don’t have the slightest doubt about that. Unless and until enough North Carolinians wake the fuck up to finally make with the torches and pitchforks, drag your sorry ass out of the governor’s mansion, and turn you into a holiday lamp-post decoration, at any rate.

Preview of coming attractions

What to look forward to from Gropey’s illegitimate ruling junta.

With this new government, most people will have very little control over their lives. Those at the top of government will have a lot of power and will probably take a lot of perverse pleasure in it. State legislators in what will become the minority party are not at the top of government and will have no more power than the rest of us.

So, no different than now, then.

What kind of changes will we have to endure? We will wear masks forever. There will always be a medical crisis mandating them.

Again: nothing new there.

There will be a war on combustion.

That’s poorly phrased; the war will be on internal combustion engines. There’ll be plenty of combustion out there, as BLM/PantiFa/et al burn White Suburbia to the ground.

We will be forced to drive electric cars or no car at all. Barack Obama began this effort in 2009 with his “cash for clunkers” program.

Don’t try to tell me you didn’t see THAT coming.

Thanks to new regulations, we will pay much higher prices for technology and medical care.

Already are, thanks.

We will have medical death panels. It is already starting.

We’ve had “death panels” since 2009, actually.

The first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine will be health care workers and nursing home residents. So far, the choice is palatable, but who will be the next one to be deemed worthy of survival? I assume that I will be dead last (pun intended).

I assure you I won’t be taking it at all—not ever, no matter what—so you needn’t worry about tripping over me to get it. “Survival”? Your concern is duly noted, but what with the Red Death’s less-than-intimidating IFR, I’ll tend to my own knitting there, thanks.

The war on combustion means there will be no fossil fuel to heat our homes. We will have to use heat pumps exclusively. Heat pumps require refrigerant. There is already a high price for refrigerant because of previous regulations. Expect the price to go higher. All of this will lead to rationing of electricity. There will be either rolling blackouts or central control of the thermostat. The latter already occurs in some people’s homes.

I’ll take “central control of the thermostat” for a thousand, Alex.

Government monitoring of our telephone calls and internet use will continue.

What, you really thought any of that was going away?

All guns will be confiscated.

They will certainly try. Jury is almost but not quite out on getting it done, though.

The state legislators will not be exempt from this horror.

Wanna bet?

I call upon all Republican state legislators in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin to reject the 2020 presidential elections in their states as inconclusive and vote in their own slate of electors. Make democracy great again.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for it, ‘kay? As has already been too-adequately demonstrated, the Repukes are part of the whole swindle, just another cog in the dirty machine.

The steal will stand

Decision time…for all of us.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. Gives State Officials Until Dec. 9 To File Response, General Assembly’s Republican Leadership “have No Intention of Doing So”
The date set by Justice Alito — who oversees emergency petitions arising from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware for the court — comes one day after what is known as the “safe harbor date,” the federal deadline for states to resolve outstanding challenges to their elections. Once it has passed, the state’s slate of appointed electors is considered to be locked in for the Dec. 14 Electoral College vote.

“The timing here matters,” said University of California-Irvine law professor Richard L. Hasen, in a post Thursday evening on his Election Law Blog. “I don’t see a path for Trump to use court cases to overturn the election results in even one state, much less the three states he would need at a minimum to get a different result in the Electoral College. But as the clock ticks down, those tiny chances fade into nothing.”

Bill puts it bluntly.

The state legislatures obviously aren’t going to do anything.  The judicial system is equally obviously not going to do anything.

So Trump will have to do something.

We should find out what that will be fairly soon.

If he’s actually going to do anything.

I honestly don’t know whether he will or not. On one hand, Trump has to be awake to what lies ahead, not just for him but for his entire family, if state elected officials and/or the “justice system” abandon their clear duty to undo this criminal outrage. On the other hand, I still can’t quite see Trump taking such a step; “reluctant” would be putting it mildly indeed, I think. Nonetheless, the only useful option left should the USSC refuse to put this right will be to heed General Flynn’s advice:

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn promoted a petition Tuesday calling on President Donald Trump to temporarily suspend the U.S. Constitution, declare martial law and order the military to oversee a national re-vote for the 2020 presidential election.

The petition, published Tuesday by the Ohio-based non-profit group We The People Convention, said there was “no peaceful way left to preserve our Union” following President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral victory and urged Trump to exercise his “extraordinary authority” to avert a second civil war.

“Limited Martial Law is clearly a better option than Civil War!” a letter accompanying the petition states.

Flynn, to whom Trump granted a presidential pardon last Wednesday related to the retired Army general’s December 2017 guilty plea for making false statements to the FBI, tweeted a link to the petition Tuesday evening.

“Freedom never kneels except for God,” Flynn tweeted.

Pro-Trump lawyer Lin Wood also promoted the petition on Tuesday, tweeting that Trump should “declare martial law” to avert a civil war spurred on by bad actors led by communist China.

Trump may have tipped a broad wink in that direction himself.

Ask yourself this question: What was the purpose of yesterday’s White House speech about election fraud and vote rigging?

If you think it was all about Trump communicating to the people, think again. This speech was really about Trump communicating with Chris Miller and the DoD about foreign interference in the U.S. election while laying out the key national security justifications that are necessary to invoke what I’m calling the “national security option” for defending the United States against an attempted cyber warfare coup.

In this article, I present details from 10 USC, Section 394. Subtitle A, Part 1, Chapter 19, “Authorities concerning military cyber operations” as well as National Security Presidential Memoranda (NSPM) #13, covering “offensive cyber operations.” See below.

In today’s Situation Update (Dec. 3rd), I lay out all the details of how Trump just invoked the legal framework — and national security provisions — necessary to allow the Secretary of Defense (Chris Miller) to activate military processes that lead to a tactical takedown of domestic enemies and active traitors.

Read the rest; Scout makes a pretty good case.

Although I wholeheartedly support Trump declaring martial law, limited or not, to thwart this blatant coup-by-fraud and restore something at least resembling a fair and honest election, that isn’t going to solve the problem either. Because the problem is much broader than a single stolen election. The real root of the problem is the continued existence of a nakedly criminal enterprise masquerading as a political party that stole the damned thing—an unabashedly Marxist mafia that stands in direct opposition to Constitutionally-correct government.

Until that problem (at least) is addressed and eliminated, America’s third-world joke of a national “election” system will remain unreformed, and the insufferable Klown Kar Elekshun we’ve just witnessed will be rerun endlessly. No sane or decent person can be happy that we’ve been brought to such a sad, sorry pass. But here we all are anyway. It ain’t Trump alone who finds himself with some very difficult decisions to make.

The Great Awakening

Signs of life on Staten Island.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Twenty-four hours after the owner of Mac’s Public House was led away in handcuffs for allegedly refusing to close his pub during the pandemic, a large crowd of Staten Islanders assembled outside the Grant City establishment to protest the state’s coronavirus restrictions.

A crowd of about 60 began assembling just after 5 p.m., with many carrying American flags and signs. One read: “Lock up criminals, not Americans.”

By the time the rally’s program started after 6 p.m., the crowd had swelled to several hundred, and a portion of Lincoln Avenue in front of the establishment was closed to traffic due to the crowd.

Protesters sang “God Bless America” as the rally’s 6 p.m. start time neared. The crowd also sang the chorus of “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” by Twisted Sister.

One man, Michael, a Westerleigh resident, carried an American flag upside down, a sign the nation is in distress.

“We are being subjugated by our own government,” he said.

“To me this is a revolution,” said Christine Salica of Westerleigh, a make-up artist who has been out of work since March. “[Gov. Andrew] Cuomo and his legislators are collecting our paychecks and they are putting us out of work.”

One man in the crowd barked at members of the Sheriff’s office posted outside the restaurant.

“I hope your pensions work,” he said. “You sold out your own people. You are enforcing the laws of the same guy who spits on you.”

Controversial artist Scott LoBaido, who has been a visible presence at Mac’s Public House as the controversy heated up in recent days, spoke to the crowd shortly after 6 p.m.

“Patriotism is not just hanging your flags out on the Fourth of July,” he said. “You know what’s patriotism? This is f***ing patriotism.”

Gott-damned skippy, brother.

Tension between the restaurant and state officials erupted Tuesday night when the Sheriff’s office executed a law-enforcement action and arrested owner Danny Presti and issued a partial vacate order for the business.

Keith McAlarney, who owns the tavern with Presti, was not taken into custody.

“That was a first,” Presti said of his arrest. “I probably have 15 fines in my pocket right now. I don’t even know what they’re for.”

Presti spoke to the crowd at about 6:45 p.m.

“We are a community,” he said. “We take back Staten Island tonight. We take all the states back. This is how we take our country back.”

It surely is. Or the beginning of the whole process, at least. Don’t relent, don’t flinch, don’t back down. Back THEM down instead. Take the fight to the miserable worms, good and hard.

Take it off

Defiance is the only option, and there ain’t but one way to do it.

Previously I had labeled the masks that our control-freak society is demanding everyone wear, wherever they go and whatever they do, as a mask of ignorance. While the evidence is still uncertain on whether high quality masks, used properly, can stop the spread of COVID-19, the improper use of masks guarantees that they will contribute to the virus’s spread.

I however no longer see masks as simply a symbol of ignorance. I now see masks as a symbol of oppression, and the willingness of Americans to submit to that oppression, without a whimper. In fact, the mask will prevent anyone from really hearing that whimper. It tells everyone you are willing to be silenced and subjugated, like a dog.

Yet, everywhere I go almost everyone is masked. Even more ridiculous, I have seen Trump supporters get out of their car, put their mask on to enter a restaurant, walk to their table and take it off for the rest of the meal. They then put it back on when they got up for that short walk back to their car.

This is not only irrational, it is downright stupid. That mask they put on is often coming from their pocket, and is not antiseptic. The odds it is a carrier of the virus is not trivial. Putting on your face, even for a few minutes, is counter to everything the mask control-freaks claim.

So why do they do it? They do it because they want to avoid trouble. They don’t want to risk an argue about the mask, with anyone. And they also tell me they fear the possibility of being verbally accosted by a control freak, and want to avoid that above all.

Worse, no one believes me when I tell them that none of that happens. No matter how many times I tell them that no one will question them about their lack of a mask, they still put the mask on, in fear.

For conservative Trump voters who claim to be lovers of freedom to bow so easily to fear and bullying bodes badly for the future of our free society. Seeing everyone wearing muzzles enforces the belief that peer pressure rules, and that you must obey the orders from on high. It makes it easier for the power-hungry to demand more, knowing from the sight of all those masks that no matter how unreasonable their demands, their servants will obey.

The thugs in power will take full advantage of this voluntary muzzling. They will know that if they can get away with that, they can get away with anything.

Seeing how brazenly, how audaciously they just stole a presidential election in open view of the entire fucking world, I’d say they know it full well, and no longer have the slightest concern about what anybody might think or do about it.

Update! I have to admit, this here is a mask I might actually consider wearing. Everywhere I went, all day, every day.

The Police State Virus

Alex makes the case for defiance.

There is no other term for the COVID regime than a nascent police state. Governors and bureaucrats, without any legislative authority have demanded that people remain in the homes at their personal whim for a disease with a 99.9% survival rate.

And then there’s the prospect of the vaccine, two versions of which will soon be available, if not mandatory.

Could the coronavirus vaccine be “the Mark of the Beast?” One doesn’t have to be religious to see it as such. Public health officials are already boasting that no one will be able to work, travel or go to school without this vaccine that was rushed through approvals for political theater.

Former Vice President Joe Biden hasn’t ruled out making the vaccine mandatory, though the federal government will likely just punt enforcement to large corporations, similar to how they use Big Tech to manage information on the Internet and Big Finance to take banking services away from dissidents.

Bill Gates has called not only for mandatory vaccines, but also mandatory tracking of people who have received them.

Are our elites deliberately conspiring to instill fear or are they just idiotic dupes? Probably a little from Column A and a little from Column B. But one thing is clear — the economic, political, academic, and media elites in this country are using a disease with a 99.9% survival rate to transform the country into a police state. Patriots and freedom lovers must resist this by any means necessary.

It never should have been allowed to get as far along as it has, and every day’s delay means a longer, tougher battle to reclaim the liberty so foolishly surrendered.

James Mattis: Joe Biden Must Eliminate ‘America First’ from U.S. Foreign Policy
Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis declared in an article in Foreign Affairs on Monday that the “America First” foreign policy had damaged national security, and called on Joe Biden to “eliminate ‘America first’” from U.S. strategy.

Mattis resigned in December 2018, citing policy disagreements with the president, who had just ordered a troop drawdown in Syria. In his resignation letter, Mattis said that the U.S. needed to do more to show “respect” to American allies.

In October 2018, then-Secretary Mattis gave a speech in which he said that “when we talk about America first, it’s not America alone.”

Who the fuck ever said that it was, or had to be, you disingenuous Deep State dipshit? But there’s a minor detail the scruple-bereft prick scrupulously neglected to mention, and would probably prefer we all ignore.

In an online column denouncing President Trump’s “America First” policy that includes measures regarding Beijing, ex-Defense Secretary James Mattis did not disclose his affiliation with an organization that fosters international business deals with communist China.

As coauthor with three other writers in a Nov. 23 Foreign Affairs column, Mattis did not mention that he works for the The Cohen Group consulting firm. Nor did he challenge China’s tough talk against U.S. policies regarding Taiwan, nor the strict economic retaliation Beijing levied against Australia.

The Cohen Group is run by another former Defense Secretary. William Cohen, who has been involved with China since 1978, when he went there to meet with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, according to the organization.

Mattis joined The Cohen Group in 2019 as a senior counselor.

So, replace “America first” with “China first” then, eh, Mad Dog? Herschel says:

Oh. I see. Maybe this has something to do with being a sell-out and enemy of the state?

You’re a wee mite off there, my friend. Mattis and “people” like him are by no means enemies of the state. They ARE The State. Which is the whole problem, probably one of our biggest. Herschel’s commentary is minimal, which is of course fine and all. Right away, though, commenter Georgiaboy61 seizes the opportunity to take that ball and run with it, at length.

The decades-long slog to become an officer of flag/general rank selects against the very qualities we are supposed to prize most in our senior military leaders.

Even the good ones find swimming against the tide of group-think, political-correctness, and expediency hard going, and many eventually leave the services prematurely, or find themselves slowly being co-opted into the system, or shunted aside into dead-end assignments without a future.

This struggle to remain true to one’s values while building a career in uniform has always been challenging, but since the spread of Cultural Marxism across American society and into its institutions – including the armed forces – a half century ago, it has become nothing less than a nightmare for traditional Americans.

It has become holy writ in the armed forces – especially to anyone who desires to make a career as a senior enlisted man or officer – that anyone not “on board” with women in combat, diversity, affirmative action, multiculturalism and all the rest of it – that it is a career-ender to transgress against these sacred totems of P.C. Get with the program or get out. It’s been this way since the Tail Hook scandal back in the early1990s, and the trend has only accelerated since then.

Also wrapped up in that particular package is that one must not question the core tenets of interventionism, neo-conservativism/neo-liberalism, globalism and internationalism, nor the institutions and policies thereof – the UN, NATO, the World Bank, IMF, etc. Foreign policy realism, or enlightened national self interest – are dead-and-gone as viable alternatives.

There’s plenty more, of which you should definitely read the all (sorry, no direct comment links provided at the Captain’s joint, but well worth the scroll). Fair Use says I should probably lay off the excerpting right there, but no way can I resist throwing this in as well.

It must always be borne in mind that the higher one rises in the armed forces, either as an officer or senior NCO, the more political it becomes. And no one in the armed forces may be promoted to flag/general officer rank without the “advice and consent” of Congress. Meaning that becoming a general is inherently political, and that if buttering up Congressmen and Senators isn’t to your liking, you probably won’t get past light bird or colonel, no matter how good the rest of your package is.

The late Colonel John Boyd, USAF, a maverick and independent thinker (a true one, not a fake like John McCain), one of our nation’s finest military officers and then one of our finest military theorists and thinkers, was famous as “The Ghetto Colonel” and before that, as the “Mad Major,” or simply as “Genghis John” for his take-no-prisoners approach to his work, life and especially for his treatment of phonies and fakes of all kinds, whom he despised regardless of rank.

Boyd was famous for taking aside young officers with stars in their futures, and sitting them down for a blunt face-to-face talk which started off with something like “Well, tiger, you’re a real blue-flamer and you’re going places…” and ending up with Boyd telling the individual in question, “You’ve reached a fork in the road, you can either be someone, or you can do something – but probably not both.”

What he meant was that if you wanted to perform a real service to the nation, and to your branch and to your colleagues in uniform, you will probably have to forsake reaching high rank, getting rich or becoming widely-known or famous. Getting things done meant stepping on toes, sometimes powerful toes, and ruffling feathers – and if you wanted that, you had to pay the price.

Or, you could take the easy way out and play the games the perfumed princes and courtiers in uniform all played in the Five-Sided-Puzzle-Palace. These are the folks who reap the riches, the rank, the notoriety, and the fame, plus lavish sinecures at Fortune 500 defense firms in retirement.

Boyd refused over his long career to accept anything – compensation, good or service – which even hinted at favoritism, graft, or the like. He and his family lived in a small apartment even as he was promoted into the field grade ranks. Boyd was no respecter of rank when ripping into someone, especially when he thought the target of his ire had behaving stupidly or unethically. He was known to tell generals to their face that they were idiots. Which is probably one reason he made Colonel – O-6 – but not general/flag rank. Boyd was fortunate to get that far; he had made many enemies over his career and they had long memories. Fortunately for him, his work was stellar and he had friends in uniform, too.

The rot and dead wood which infest the senior ranks of the officer corps at present is appalling, but also highly typical of long periods of peace or relative peace. Genuine war-fighters, the kinds of generals and admirals who win battles and win wars, make official Washington nervous and upset the routine functioning of the system. Bureaucrats-in-uniform, or what the late Colonel David Hackworth called “perfumed princes,” are much-preferred in the usual places and by the usual suspects.

All of this, along with Bill Buppert’s spot-on follow-up, jibes perfectly with what my cousin Reggie (career Navy jet-jock, only scant weeks short of retiring at the rank of Captain when he keeled over dead from a heart attack while driving in to work as Argentina Naval attaché a few years ago; CF lifers may remember his posts here as “Regbo” some years back) always told me. Taken as a whole, it highlights more than just one or two enormous obstacles to ever draining the Swamp and putting this country back on the right track again. Which isn’t just worrisome; it’s downright scary.

As for Mattis, it appears I need to dust off the sparingly used “ex Marine” epithet, previously reserved around here mostly for the despicable John Murtha, and start using it again. You former Devil Dogs out there will know what I mean by it, I’m sure.

The Red Death Fizzle

Imagine my surprise.

Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same. “The reason we have a higher number of reported COVID-19 deaths among older individuals than younger individuals is simply because every day in the U.S. older individuals die in higher numbers than younger individuals,” Briand said.

Briand also noted that 50,000 to 70,000 deaths are seen both before and after COVID-19, indicating that this number of deaths was normal long before COVID-19 emerged. Therefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths.

These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States.

When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. As Briand compared the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018, she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph below, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes.

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, … the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.

That’s from a Johns Hopkins report, hastily removed and censored since Robert Zimmerman’s original post, to which he helpfully provides a couple of alternative links over at his joint. Zimmerman’s own wrap-up says it all:

In other words, COVID-19 is just another type of flu-like respiratory disease, that is only appearing terrible because doctors and hospitals are incorrectly labeling many deaths as COVID-19 when in past years they would have labeled them based on the existing chronic illnesses the patient already had.

It has all been a scam, a Chicken Little scam induced by some very evil people in government to cause fear and panic in the general population. I leave it to my readers to figure out why.

Regardless, it is time for people to come to their senses. Let the worry warts cower in mindless fear in their basements. Rip off that mask, go back to living your normal American life, free and open, pursuing your happiness.

Amen, brother; you’re preaching to the choir here. But I fear a profound effort will be required before anybody can go back to living normal American lives, assuming there’s even such a thing to be had at all after this man-caused disaster. Petty tyrants all across the nation aren’t going to just back off and relinquish the absolute power they’ve been enjoying so much for lo, these many months without a struggle, unfortunately, and no amount of hard data will persuade them otherwise.

Which, more unfortunately, is assuming that enough of us even WANT those “normal American lives” back in the first place. Maybe the most dismaying aspect of the whole Shamdemic farce was how eager all too many of us—in the grip of a panic manufactured specifically for the purpose—were to surrender their liberty and Constitutional rights to purchase a little phony security. In any event, I can’t recall a single historical instance when lost liberty was regained without a struggle.
