Unpleasantness: coming

After months of unchecked—officially sanctioned, more like—pAntiFa/BLM rioting, looting, and burning, looks like law and order may be making an unlooked-for and highly selective comeback.

DC mayor calls in National Guard ahead of pro-Trump protests

Because of course she is.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Bracing for possible violence, the nation’s capital has mobilized the National Guard ahead of planned protests by President Donald Trump’s supporters in connection with the congressional vote expected Wednesday to affirm Joe Biden’s election victory theft.

Fixed it for ya, shitlib assholes.

Trump’s supporters are planning to rally Tuesday and Wednesday, seeking to bolster the president’s unproven claims of widespread voter fraud. “There are people intent on coming to our city armed,” D.C. Acting Police Chief Robert Contee said Monday.

A pro-Trump rally in December ended in violence as hundreds of Trump supporters, wearing the signature black and yellow of the Proud Boys faction, sought out confrontations with a collective of local activists attempting to bar them from Black Lives Matter Plaza, an area near the White House.

On Monday, Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested the leader of the Proud Boys, Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, 36, after he arrived in Washington ahead of this week’s protests. Tarrio was accused of burning a Black Lives Matter banner that was torn down from a historic Black church in downtown Washington during the December protests.

Shoulda torched Old Glory instead, nobody woulda said a word.

Now with downtown D.C. businesses boarding up their windows, Mayor Muriel Bowser has requested a limited National Guard deployment to help bolster the Metropolitan Police Department. During a press conference on Monday, Bowser asked that local area residents stay away from downtown D.C., and avoid confrontations with anyone who is “looking for a fight.” But, she warned, “we will not allow people to incite violence, intimidate our residents or cause destruction in our city.”

Elected officials damned well ought to be intimidated—every minute of their day, every single day, until a proper fear of We The People has been re-instilled in them again, after which it becomes a permanent condition for them. Otherwise, we wind up here:

When you see that justice is measured, not by due process, but by compulsion; when you see that in order to invoke your first amendment right to speech, you need to obtain permission from the same voices who rebuke the constitution; when you see that justice is determined by those who leverage, not in law, but in politics; when you see that men get power over individual liberty by graft and by scheme, and your representatives don’t protect you against them, but protect themselves against you; when you see corruption holding influence and individual liberty so easily dispatched and nullified; you may well know that your freedom too is soon to perish…

SOON to? Regarding Sundance’s mention of the 1st Amendment, I’ll repeat what I’ve so often said about the 2nd: anything you must beg government’s permission for is by definition no longer a right, regardless of what the Constitution might have to say about the matter. It has been reduced to a mere privilege, which can be revoked at the government’s whim.

Occupied America

Vassals and serfs, under the sway a nakedly hostile regime.

If you believe, as all Americans should, that failure to abide by the strictures of the Constitution renders the institutions of government illegitimate, then I would argue that 2020 has crystallized an uncomfortable reality: we are now under occupation by a hostile governing force. That may seem ludicrous to some, but I see no distinction between a group of Americans seizing power and governing with complete disregard for the Constitution and an invading force of Chinese communists accomplishing the same objective. Our governing document clearly proscribes what government actors may do, and when the government as a whole discards those constraints as mere suggestions, then it delegitimizes itself.

Show me where in the Constitution agents of local or state governments are empowered to arbitrarily and capriciously suspend Americans’ attempts to make a living, exercise their religious faiths, and peaceably assemble in protest of their governments’ abridgments of their freedoms. Show me where in the Constitution expansive exceptions to Americans’ free speech are carved out that authorize tech companies with monopoly power over the digital town square to censor free debate over the scientific efficacy of pandemic lockdowns or the overwhelming evidence of voting irregularities in the presidential election or even the mere promotion of conservative points of view. Show me where in the Constitution Dr. Fauci is entitled to declare what freedoms Americans may still possess, where Andrew Weissmann is elevated to Lord High Inquisitor in charge of persecuting political allies of the elected president, or where Michigan attorney general Dana Nessel is charged with hunting down lawyers who challenge election fraud. Where does the Constitution give the state of California veto power over the enforcement of federal immigration laws, while giving Arizona no means of protecting the sovereignty of its own borders? Where does the Constitution declare that Black Lives Matter and Antifa are exempt from criminal laws and pandemic lockdowns but that Americans with ideas at odds with Hollywood or academe should be targeted and harassed? How is it possible for elected representatives to enter office by taking oaths to support and defend the Constitution of the United States while they simultaneously declare their intentions to deprive Americans of their Second Amendment right to possess firearms, their First Amendment rights to worship and speak as they choose, and their Fourteenth Amendment right to receive equal protection under the law? And where does the Constitution insist that the results of a patently fraudulent election must be respected simply because no court in the land will consent to hearing the merits of disputes too numerous to ignore?

It was once common knowledge in this country that all forms of government, no matter how well intended, are inherently corrupt. This was considered an elementary-school history lesson. The Founding Fathers were unanimous in this sentiment. The Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, and any of the private correspondence between the signers and ratifiers of those important documents all proceed from a fundamental truism: government cannot be trusted. It is, at best, a necessary nuisance in order to constrain the worst impulses of men and, at worst, the greatest threat to an individual’s natural liberties.

That this important historical lesson has been all but deleted from modern curricula that now extol the merits of bigger and bigger government capable of manipulating each human detail, from the biological sex listed on a birth certificate to the global management of hydrocarbon energy, is a tragedy that will continue to produce harm until the lesson is painfully learned again.

Tragedy? No, not quite. I see it as more along the lines of a dead giveaway: the exposed detail that reveals the existence of an agenda, from which an entire conspiracy can then be intuited. Stark raving paranoia, with no evidence to back it up? Could be, could be.

But can anybody out there come up with a credible alternative explanation for why American government schools, starting back in the 70s, radically altered the way American history was taught—opting to bowdlerize, selectively edit, or outright suppress broad swathes of it—weaponizing education itself for purposes of manipulation and subversion, rather than just presenting the material in a more or less fair way as they did before? For why the bedrock principles that form the foundation upon which this nation was built, are now denigrated as archaic and inadequate, instead of examined and honored? For why the Founders, personally, are reviled rather than revered—their human failings grotesquely magnified, their accomplishments dismissed out of hand?

As for the Fauci mention specifically, what I’d really like to have a satisfactory explaination for is why the hell that skulking mediocrity still has a fucking job. Because try as I might, I CANNOT find one.

Scorched. Fucking. EARTH

An open letter to Trump from “America,” in the guise of Joe Hoft.

Dear Honorable President Donald J. Trump,
It has come to our attention that despite your repeated Executive Orders to declassify all information concerning the plot to destroy your campaign and your Presidency, these orders are being blocked. As you know, as President, you have full authority to declassify this intelligence.

We understand that the Deep State, including people inside the White House and ostensibly on “your” side, are warning you not to do this and to keep the information from the public. They are betraying you. The claim that releasing the information would harm US National Security is a lie. The reality is that by releasing this information you will expose the dirty deeds of Americans and the foreign countries that have conspired to destroy you and end your Presidency.

We know some of what is contained in this intelligence. We know that it shows the role that intelligence operatives from the United Kingdom played in trying to destroy your chance to become President. We are given to understand that the evidence of foreign interference in the November Presidential Election is indisputable.

You must release this information, not just to save your Presidency, but to save and preserve the Republic. Your oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution is on the line.

We plead with you to ignore the worm tongues who surround you and work to undermine you. We are with you.

We are, for the nonce anyway. The thing is, “standing with Trump” against the weasels, termites, and traitors who have incrementally stolen and then wrecked this country is going to involve more than just doing so rhetorically if it’s to be effective. It’s going to involve making an actual, literal STAND. A physical stand, one which could turn out to be the LAST.

And, sorry as I genuinely am to have to say so, every day it becomes more and more evident that said stand, in turn, will necessarily involve actual, literal violence. At this late date, there is simply no other option left.

As NC Reed’s foreboding quote over in the right sidebar has it: “They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it.” And so it is. The Enemy has demonstrated that he will not relent without having some serious pain inflicted on him, pain severe and damaging enough to be carried in memory as a tender spot for many years to come. Until such time, all else is just blather and bluster.

Declassifying everything, then following up to ensure it’s all accessible to the general public, is one among many actions that, in hindsight, Trump should have taken long ago. The recent pardons of more than two dozen people guilty of no real crime at all was a good start, as is evidenced by the anguished howl it raised from the demonic Left. But no one should be thinking of it as anything more than that. The sequence of events I’d like to see:

  • Following the aforementioned mass declassification and distribution, he takes up the infamous “pen and a phone” to fire all Obama stay-behinds and secret saboteurs, then disbands entire Federal departments summarily
  • Trump’s next move is to turn a honking great flammenwerfer on every Deep State shitpile: office furniture and machinery, files, Swamp critters, buildings—flash-roasting the whole stinking mess to a crispity crunch. Figuratively, or otherwise
  • After that, he convenes a press conference consisting of only two words: “Sayonara, suckers!”
  • Next, the Last American President tootles off to Andrews AFB—pausing atop the AF-1 boarding stairs to thumb his nose and blow a loud raspberry at the corrupt shithole he’s leaving behind forever—and flies directly to Texas to begin the Great Purge of Austin, scouring the city of every empty-headed liberal dunce, man-bunned hipster douchebag, sandal-shod undergrad, and scraggly-assed, Marxist UT-Austin professor/parasite currently stinking up the place
  • He is then joined by Governor Abbott for another press conference in which they proudly co-announce the formal activation of the Republic of Texas, in accordance with the relevant provisions in Article 1 of the state’s Constitution. Not merely some kind of US government-in-exile, the RoT is conceived as a fully independent political entity, properly ordered and of equal legal status with all other nation-states
  • Trump ends his last Enemedia availability as POTUS with a statement offering a warm welcome to all Real Americans desirous of lawfully immigrating to the new Republic, closing with a stern warning to the FUSA that while the Republic—harboring no ill will towards the long-ago-murdered and now-defunct nation it was formerly a part of—has absolutely no wish or intent to wage offensive war against it, is nonetheless both prepared and perfectly willing to defend itself against it, using any and every means at hand in order to preserve its independence
  • Gobsmacked FUSAN Enemedia “journalists,” those who did not slump to the floor in a dead faint from shock already, are officially declared persona non grata in the RoT and ordered to the border, where they will be forcibly ejected with neither delay nor appeal. Their unconscious colleagues are unceremoniously tossed into the back of three waiting deuce-and-a-half military trucks, piled three deep onto one another for the final exit from Texas. On arrival at the border, several platoons of flint-eyed RoT soldiers frogmarch the ragged formation of corpulent, sweat-drenched swine to the line and across, prodded by locked-and-loaded assault rifles at their backs should any of these undesirables prove so foolish as to turn around and attempt re-entry. The escort’s sole ROE? No warning shots—SHOOT TO KILL
  • Several of the more sensible among the FUSA’s remaining prisoner-states petition the new nation to attach themselves as additional, legally-sanctioned territories of the RoT, with the goal of forming a Confederacy of Freedom with the RoT as its head
  • Everybody lives happily ever after
  • THE END!

Yeah, I know, I know. Hey, a man can still dream, right?

FINALLY!

Not a moment too soon, either.

Pomp Hair Salon in Stockton California was raided by state officials who cited the salon for continuing operations. The subsequent misdemeanor citation comes from the state. However, local law enforcement and county prosecution say they will not participate in the enforcement mechanism.

This creates an unusual dynamic as the state has threatened to revoke licenses for the salon and the workers; but what “enforcement” action could the state undertake?

The issues highlighted here cover more than hair salons. Restaurants and bars are facing similar threats from regulatory agencies: Dept of Health, Bureau of Alcohol, etc. It is the regulatory issue that keeps many business owners in fear of defying COVID lock-downs.

If local officials break from state regulatory and compliance demands, there’s no precedent for what enforcement action a state might attempt to take unilaterally.

Would ideologically prone state governors attempt to send State Police to enforce their unilateral fiats and face a showdown with local law enforcement?

It is into this dynamic when everyone should remember the County Sheriff is the highest constitutional officer in the region. A county sheriff can nullify any outside law enforcement agency by simply not complying. This is a well known issue inside law enforcement.

This takes the blue state (totalitarianism) -vs- red state (freedom/liberty) issue into a more granular distinction. Within the Blue States there are likely to be contests of power between local and state officials. It is an interesting dynamic.

Oh, I’d say it’s a good bit more than just “interesting.” It’s vital, is what it is.

Strong message follows

And I DO mean strong.

This can’t be a mistake. No one can be this dumb. No one can be this clueless. Not even Democrats. Not even moronic Democratic governors. Not even nanny-state government bureaucrats like Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Fauci jasked Americans to cancel Christmas. He said, “…it’s just one of those things you’re going to have to accept.” He reported he would not even allow his own three daughters to come home for Christmas this year. He wants all Americans to “painfully” isolate. He says he and his wife will be spending the holiday alone.

I have a message for Dr Fauci: “First, not just no. HELL NO. This is America. This is a free country. If we want to celebrate Christmas, we will. If we want to go to church, we will. If we want to spend the holidays with our children, we will. We’re adults. We make our own decisions. This isn’t a nanny state. It’s not the Soviet Union. It’s not Nazi Germany. We don’t need government bureaucrats telling us what to do, how to live our lives or how to spend the holidays.

Second, you’re a typical Ivy League egghead. You’re too smart for your own good. You have IQ but clearly no emotional intelligence. And certainly no common sense.

Third, how can I see this nicely? SCREW YOU. I love my family. I love my children. I love Christmas. I don’t know you. I don’t owe you. And I don’t answer to you.”

Another one I’m gonna have to second with all my heart and soul, to the very last syllable. The great Daniel Greenfield drives that nail the rest of the way in.

The pandemic lockdowns didn’t come out of nowhere.

Long before the sad grim farce of loudspeakers blaring, “We’re  All In This Together” to the proles while the elites headed off to their vacation homes and French Laundry dinners, the business of public health was about closely controlling what the masses did with their lives.

The war against smoking, then fat, salt, and soda, were all based on the unspoken assumption that people were too stupid to behave responsibly and someone had to do it for them. The CDC was utterly inept at managing pandemics, but it spent much of its budget fighting obesity.

The critical difference between fighting obesity and a pandemic is that the former is a behavior while the latter is a virus. Fighting a virus requires actual knowledge, skill, and ability, but fighting a behavior just means spending a lot of time scolding people and penalizing them.

Controlling a virus is hard, but controlling people seems a lot easier.

The scientific universe with its infinity of galaxies and microbes may appear to be a cold and inhuman place, but it has the virtue of offering perspective, while the pseudoscientific echo chamber of social science assumes that the universe revolves around human social inequities. Its practitioners spout jargon, but are unequipped to tackle the problems of objective reality.

The problem is never objective reality, whether it’s the finite numbers of economics or the biology of a pandemic, instead the problem is always getting people to listen to their betters.

Einstein didn’t believe he was immune from the laws of the universe, but the contemporary experts in the public eye tend to see social problems rather than objective universal laws. And they are convinced that they are above those social problems on account of their superiority and therefore they can take risks that the rest of society is too ignorant to properly calculate.

Public health’s contempt for the good sense of the public led to this totalitarian two tier system.

A Ferguson, a Fauci, or a Birx should be able calculate their risk of having a fling, flinging a ball, or vacationing after Thanksgiving, like the rest of the country. All Americans should be able to gauge the risk of spending time with loved ones, of having a sandwich and a soda, of exercising or not, and of living their lives without the constant scolding of hypocritical public health experts.

The public health industry has spent generations insisting that Americans can’t be trusted with what they eat. Is it any wonder that they believe Americans can’t be trusted to leave the house?

The title of the piece spells it out: they’re aren’t fighting a virus. They’re fighting us.

Update! Rand Paul hits another nail square on the head.

Sen. Rand Paul is sounding the alarm again over our continuing loss of liberty in the age of the coronavirus, and he’s certainly not wrong.

In particular, the Kentucky Republican says Americans should really be pushing back – hard – on governors who have become “dictators” with their lockdowns, restrictions, and mandates, none of which, at this point, have anything at all to do with ‘the science.’

“You know, nobody ever intended that governors would be sort of czars or dictators in charge of the economy,” said Paul in a Christmas morning interview with Newsmax.

Paul went on to criticize governors who continue to restrict mostly small business activities in their states because they have been receiving CARES Act funding and other federal stimulus spending.

“The only thing that will get [New York City Mayor Bill] de Blasio and [New York Gov. Andrew] Cuomo to finally open up is when they run out of other people’s money,” Paul added.

“So I think that we shouldn’t be passing out any money to the states, we shouldn’t be rewarding their bad behavior,” he continued. “And really, this has probably been the worst time in the history of our country for power being accumulated into the hands of very few people.”

Paul added that state leaders need to balance public health concerns in a way that don’t trample constitutional rights (none of which come with a ‘pandemic’ provision).

Preach it, brother. Respect for Constitutional rights ought to be a given in this country, at every level of government—the most fundamental, most basic assumption. It’s a national disgrace that, in Amerika v2.0, it no longer is.

Hey, who am I to argue?

Although one needn’t be MENSA-eligible to be able to figure that out.

The Smartest Man In The World – Iq 200 – Is Convinced The U.S. Election Was Stolen.
Christopher Langan is well renowned as the Smartest Man in America and indeed perhaps the world. Now, he’s railing against the alleged election fraud that “delivered” the race for Joe Biden.

Langan, 68, tweeted this week: “Many citizens, including me, won’t accept cheating scoundrels like Biden or Harris as leaders. Best get ready for trouble.”

You said a mouthful there, buddy. Lots more evidence of Langan’s superior intelligence at the link. Meanwhile, people who aren’t nearly as smart as they think they are seem intent on persuading us to ignore the plain truth in front of our own lying eyes:

Last week news broke that senator-elect Tommy Tuberville may challenge the Electoral College votes on the US Senate floor in January.

Several states were stolen from President Trump in his landslide 2020 election. Democrats and the media claim it is perfectly normal to lock out GOP observers while you manufacture tens of thousands of votes to overcome a massive Trump win.

Trump supporters disagree.

But Mitch McConnell does not stand for President Trump and he does not stand with Trump’s voters.

Mitch stands with the globalists and the Democrats and he is reportedly reaching out to Tommy Tuberville to warn him about creating a messy situation next week.

Absolutely disgusting.

Seconded, just as hard as I possibly can. With retch-worthy Vichy GOPe “friends” like Yertle McTurtle, Real Americans need no enemies.

FTGOPe Update! A miss is as good as a mile.

It is abundantly clear that Republican voters want their elected officials to stay in the fight and challenge the results of the presidential election; Republican officials don’t seem to be getting the message.

Wrong. It’s not that they “don’t seem to be getting” it. They are IGNORING it, those few of them who aren’t actively working to squelch it outright. Whatever you may have preferred to believe before, they’re playing for the other team. Any of us that hasn’t seen through the scam by now better get busy opening their eyes at last. Because otherwise, it’s gonna just go right on being one futile Charlie Brown attempt at kicking that damned football after another.

Turnabout is fair play

Let the remoras and leeches of government share our pain. At all levels, in every way, in full measure.

In late September, Congress passed a bill to keep the government funded at current levels through this Friday. Trump has refused to sign the comprehensive funding bill tied to providing new $600 stimulus checks to qualifying Americans. It’s clear that they don’t have much time to resolve their disagreements and pass a law President Trump will support.

Most likely, they will pass another extension, but Trump has already signaled he would rather use a pocket veto and let the next president handle the issue than sign a bill he can’t support. Such a standoff risks a government shutdown if a solution cannot be passed and signed.

President Trump has had three shutdowns in his term as president, the longest being 35 days between December 2018 and January 2019 over the issue of funding for the border wall. That shutdown forced about 800,000 federal government workers to go on furlough without pay. If an extension is not passed to avoid a shutdown, thousands of government workers considered nonessential would again be furloughed or forced to work without pay until the shutdown ends.

Government leaders love to say how they experience our pain for the lockdowns generated in many Democrat controlled states and cities during the COVID Pandemic restrictions. Many Americans have lost jobs; some have lost their businesses. Government workers can talk as though they understand, but they’ve had no cuts in salary or their retirement plans. They have been insulated from the consequences of their own actions.

When have they ever NOT been? In truth, our Masters go to extraordinary lengths to ensure they’re protected, and always will be.

Your tax dollars at “work”

We’re from the government, and we’re here to help!

American taxpayers still reeling from coronavirus lockdowns will be shelling out billions to foreign countries if Congress passes a $2.3 trillion spending bill unveiled Monday.

The 5,593 page budget-busting bill was posted online Monday afternoon, only hours before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said a vote would be held.

For some countries, Christmas came early:

  • $169,739,000 to Vietnam, including $19 million to remediate dioxins (page 1476).
  • Unspecified funds to “continue support for not-for-profit institutions of higher education in Kabul, Afghanistan that are accessible to both women and men in a coeducational environment” (page 1477).
  • $198,323,000 to Bangladesh, including $23.5 million to support Burmese refugees and $23.3 million for “democracy programs” (page 1485).
  • $130,265,000 to Nepal for “development and democracy programs” (page 1485).
  • Pakistan: $15 million for “democracy programs” and $10 million for “gender programs” (page 1486).
  • Sri Lanka: Up to $15 million “for the refurbishing of a high endurance cutter,” which is a type of patrol boat (page 1489).
  • $505,925,000 to Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama to “address key factors that contribute to the migration of unaccompanied, undocumented minors to the United States” (pages 1490-1491).
  • $461,375,000 to Colombia for programs related to counternarcotics and human rights (pages 1494-1496).
  • $74.8 million to the “Caribbean Basin Security Initiative” (page 1498).
  • $33 million “for democracy programs for Venezuela” (page 1498).
  • Unspecified amount to Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Curacao, and Trinidad and Tobago “for assistance for communities in countries supporting or otherwise impacted by refugees from Venezuela” (page 1499).
  • $132,025,000 “for assistance for Georgia” (page 1499).
  • $453 million “for assistance for Ukraine” (page 1500).

Incredibly, there’s more yet—TONS more.

No less incredibly, I still occasionally see some folks out there braying about how “desperate” the Enemy is, how obvious it is that he’s “frightened” or “worried” about this or that or the other thing, that he’s “on the ropes,” at the end of the line, just about to collapse into a pile of despair and ruin. Judging by this supreme expression of sheer contempt, though, I’d say it looks a lot more like they’re just rubbing our noses in it at this point—openly laughing in our faces, cocking their snook, and daring Real Americans to do a damned thing about it.

Real Americans should definitely oblige them, I believe.

Does not compute

With math so fuzzy it appears be growing a full beard, they have to be using Common Core methods.

The claim, ludicrous on its very face, is that the miserably unpopular Uncle Gropey “won” over 80 million “votes.” This, mind, after his embarrassingly pathetic primary squeak-by’s, then an entire summer of being unable to draw more than a handful of buzzards to his campaign-appearance shitwagon. Binney’s total vote percentage of 66.2 was culled from the Enemedia organ grinder’s monkeys at the WaPo; according to their chart, that’s the highest percentage of registered-voter participation since 1908’s 65.7 percent. Joe Hoft gives the final tally:

Using the numbers as of today, which are materially similar to Binney’s, we find a huge issue. If we have 213.8 million registered voters in the US and 66.2% of all voters voted in the 2020 election, that equals 141.5 voters who voted in the 2020 election (Binney shows 140 million which is materially the same).

If President Trump won 74 million votes, then that leaves only 67.5 million votes remaining for Biden. This means 13 million duplicate or made up ballots were created and counted for Biden!

This also supports our observations from the start. Biden committed fraud in every imaginable way, but the big steal was in millions of fraudulent votes that were created to steal the election for Biden. MILLIONS!

The results of the 2020 election at a very high level do not add up. This is math liberals – very simple math that even liberals should be able to understand. At a high level, the Biden camp clearly committed fraud.

Well, duh. Every sensible and honest person in the country (qualifiers that assuredly exclude all shitlibs)—hell, in the entire WORLD—knows it at this point.

After all the video recordings; the thousands of sworn affidavits from credible witnesses; the statistically-impossible results; the computer “glitches” that only went in one direction; the beyond-shady mail-in ballots; those things, and a preponderance of further evidence, we ALL know it. How could we not?

And it’s not going to change a goddamned thing.

Which is why I’m thinking this maybe ought to be my last post on the fraudulent 2020 election. Might not be, I admit. But it probably should be. Not to denigrate Joe’s hard work above, mind, but for me the topic has become boring, with odds heavily trending towards an imminent collapse into downright wearisome. A few reasons why:

  • Nothing has ever, ever, EVER been achieved by trying to persuade a shitlib with logic, facts, and figures. At best they’re supremely disinterested in those things whenever they don’t serve the Left’s interests, which is always; at worst, they’re actively hostile to them. In either case, deploying such irrelevancies against shitlibs is worse than a waste of your time. It annoys the pig as well. Their aggressive disinterest and/or hostility to the Three Horribles—logic, facts, figures, with the historical record and actual science thrown in for good measure in some contexts—serve them as a suit of medieval armor, overlaid by a modern warship’s heavy steel hull-plating, all surrounded by a Star Trek-style force field, creating a shield leaving them invulnerable to all three
  • Expecting that corrupt, traitorous PermaState agencies such as the DoJ or any/all other Swamp-critter tentacles like the USSC and Enemedia, might be relied upon to do their sworn duty, honor their oaths, and act to right this abominable wrong is every bit as foolish and self-defeating as pinning your hopes on the US Constitution and settled black-letter election law. The Constitution in particular, trampled into insensate pulp long decades ago, was just flung down and danced upon in front of the eyes of the world. So how stupid does one have to be to believe that the poor battered thing will suddenly rise from the grave to save American’s bacon now?
  • Vichy GOPe quislings, wetting themselves with joy over the prospect of soon resuming their perennial-loser role as the Democrat-Socialists’ pliant chew toys after the Trump Unpleasantness, have eagerly jumped right onto the reeking carcass of American democracy themselves to get in a few solid kicks, demanding that Trump supporters must all now unite to proclaim their support of our new Dear Leader, pResident-(S)elect Gropey Joe Biden-Harris. Anybody who thinks such unprincipled, soulless swine will break character all of a sudden to do the right thing isn’t just stupid, but delusional

Yes, the 2020 election was indeed stolen, and we all know it. Something else we all know, or should by now: exactly what kind of actions constitute the last desperate chance to undo this most brazen of broad-daylight heists. Carrying on with the assembly of a legal case that will never be either heard or heeded no matter how airtight its construction is a mug’s game, played on a table I’m no longer very interested in sitting at. The question no longer revolves around court cases, numbers, facts, or lawyerly maneuvers. The sole question is what comes next…and whether enough of us are up to our unwanted task.

A challenge has been posed, a gauntlet thrown down. This challenge won’t be resolved via papers, filings, and briefs. It can only be met with steel, determination, and blood.

Get real

The word of the day seems to be “secession.” That, or some other specimen of national break-up. Which is every bit as futile a notion as the fantasy that the massive and completely successful 2020 election fraud will miraculously be righted via courtroom maneuvering or other peaceful means.

Ain’t gonna happen, folks.

The nation’s current divide is partly geographic but mostly cultural and juridical. The Texas-led states, despite including parts of the former confederacy, now stand for the rule of law and the civil rights protections of the 1868 14th Amendment. The California-led states now seek to undo over 150 years of human rights laws so that they can override the suffrage and petitions of a “suspect class” (Republicans).

Polling indicates that neither side is budging on the question that best serves as a litmus test: whether the election of Joe Biden is legitimate. About half the country believes it was not because they share Texas’s understanding of what citizen rights are and what constitutes evidence. Half the country believes the election was legitimate because they share California’s understanding of citizen rights as framed by context and by goals, with any means being justified by the right goals, depending on the group involved.

For the first time in anyone’s living memory, we have to contend with the real possibility that the United States will split into separate nations. The split will not look like the 19th century Civil War and may not even be a war at all. Looking at history, I’ve come upon the following possible precedents in history that may help us understand the potential outcomes.

Follows, three historical examples going all the way back to the Roman Empire. Normal American runs down a few scenarios himself before proposing the only one I’ve seen yet that’s even a wee mite plausible:

There is an alternative. An October column here endorsed co-existence through radical federalism: “Longer term re-stabilization could devolve power from Washington, D.C. to state governments. California could ban pickups and mandate abortions, while Texas could do the opposite. Nobody would love it, but the republic would survive.”

An American Mind article from November 30 proposes radical federalism through a constitutional convention. The result would be one currency, one army, mostly separate, somewhat united. Most federal functions would vanish, with state courts becoming “the final word on the right to bear arms, free speech and abortion.” That avoids the difficulty of the U.S. Fourth Fleet in Florida operating a few miles from Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in hostile territory previously known as Georgia.

Sadly, no evidence suggests that the left will compromise. It is emboldened. Our self-appointed rulers are calling President Trump and his supporters “maggots” who “must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society.” Democrat operatives are talking up “guillotines.” Instead of lowering tensions this week, Joe Biden’s senior aides are cursing opponents. Plus federalism is racist.

Even under such a plan, the Defense Department, the State Department, intelligence agencies, federal law enforcement, and the Federal Reserve will continue. Those account for millions of jobs and nearly a quarter of today’s federal budget. The deep state creatures denning in these agencies will not agree to reductions in their authority any more than a colony of paper wasps will agree to the destruction of its nest.

A second American Mind article was published this week as a rebuttal to the first. The left will not tolerate co-existence, wrote Edward Erler, an emeritus professor of political science. “Like all domineering partners who abuse their consorts, they want to rule.”

A commenter at the American Greatness article above forcefully reiterates that home truth:

The only flaw I can see to the “separate ways” argument is a fatal one.

No matter what you do, no matter what you try, do you really think these people will leave you alone?

A major part of the draw of American leftism is the false sense of moral and intellectual superiority it confers to its devotees. But what good is that if you don’t have a captive audience of people into whose faces you can rub your superiority? If you can’t reach them, then how can you lord over them? Tell them how to live? What to eat? When they can leave their homes? Whether they’re permitted to worship? How can you censor them, take away their right to self defense, and punish them?

How can you keep humiliating them and mocking them with sham elections that serve to reinforce their helplessness before your power?

We lost the culture wars because every time we gave in to what the leftists demanded and asked, “Now will you leave us alone?” they attacked another institution.

They will never leave you alone.

So you might as well fight them where you are. This is our country. Our Constitution, our Republic. Not theirs. Why cede it to them? Fight.

Sadly, the very next commenter plunges face-first into the fog of Pretend War, emphasizing the crucially crucial importance of “attending city government meetings, attending school board meetings, running for local government” and, one can only assume, VOTING VOTING VOTING! Aesop puts paid to that happy horseshit with a bucket of cold-water reality to the face.

It’s nice to dream (by which I mean it’s free, pleasant, and makes one feel happy), but you aren’t going to dream your way out of what’s coming.
You can’t dream your way out of socialism.
And history demonstrates, over and over, that you cannot vote your way out of it either.
So unless you’re 10 years old, and planning on outliving it, eventually, when you’re 95, the only way out of socialism is either to flee it (to where?), or to fight it.

Yup. And when some of us more practical, historically-literate types say “fight,” we are NOT talking about verbal complaints, smoke signals, angry letters to the editor, or allegorical puppet theater, either.

Like it or not, whatever “split” is going to happen in America already did—a philosophical, ideological, and cultural divergence that severed Lincoln’s “bonds of affection” in all but the strictly physical/geographic sense—and that’s as far as things are going to go without bloodshed. I repeat: FederalGovCo will never, ever, EVER peaceably agree to cede its power over half the country by partitioning it off and just letting all that territory, all that infrastructure, all those military installations, and all those taxpayer dollars stroll away unmolested. In fact, now that we’ve taken the final steps towards Commie dictatorship with the recent fraudulent “election,” I’d say the bloated, illegitimate central government’s iron grip is far likelier to tighten than to relax.

We fought one Civil War over secession already. Does anybody really want to try arguing that—after a century and a half of consolidating its might, expanding it, and carefully sweeping up the remaining scraps of Federalism and States’ Rights—the government is MORE likely to shrug its shoulders and allow it to occur without a murmur now? Although I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to a national split myself if it would mean out-and-out war might be avoided…well, frankly, I just can’t see anything of the sort actually happening, that’s all.

More Lincoln, just to put the cherry on top.

Physically speaking, we cannot separate. We cannot remove our respective sections from each other, nor build an impassable wall between them. A husband and wife may be divorced, and go out of the presence, and beyond the reach of each other; but the different parts of our country cannot do this. They cannot but remain face to face; and intercourse, either amicable or hostile, must continue between them. Is it possible then to make that intercourse more advantageous or more satisfactory, after separation than before? Can aliens make treaties easier than friends can make laws? Can treaties be more faithfully enforced between aliens, than laws can among friends? Suppose you go to war, you cannot fight always; and when, after much loss on both sides, and no gain on either, you cease fighting, the identical old questions, as to terms of intercourse, are again upon you.

The sand in the gears is that the TWANLOCs can in no conceivable way be considered “friends” any longer, either of Real Americans or of Constitutional governance itself. As “aliens” go, they’re the worst possible variety: hostile ones. Lincoln is correct when he contends that “you cannot fight always.” But you absolutely MUST fight until your enemy is vanquished. And this war will not be won until the Left is crushed utterly, the pugnacity and power-lust stomped out of them.

An “American Coward” speaks

Holding back anticipating a safety in numbers that may never come.

Every one of those Americans who understands this must realize that this is it. This is the last moment for the American Republic, the last time we will even have a glimmer of a chance of an honest election result, and the last time any opposition to modern communism will be afforded space in the public square. And yet, neither I nor most of you are going to do anything about this situation that might risk our present status or comfort.

This is why I won’t yet act.

Unfortunately for me, the crisis has come either too late or too early. Our family has four young children, a single income, and a base of assets which could be easily lost but probably never replaced. We are maximally vulnerable to the sorts of attacks which collectivists bring against those who fight back.

Even so, if the fight were on, if the majority of Americans who this past election shows are opposed to creeping collectivism were on the march, I would risk it all to join them. No comfort, no wealth, not even life itself is as important as preserving the possibility of human freedom. The hive-society prison which is being built around us must be demolished at any cost.

But when I look around me, I see many people who are paralyzed as I am. We know that the fight for our republic is unavoidable, and that the time is now, but do not see a nucleus of resistance to which we can pledge our lives, fortunes, and sacred honors without it being tantamount to suicide. We are watching and waiting for someone else to be that nucleus.

Most people who have not committed to the cause of freedom are not conscious supporters of modern communism. Some hold out the futile hope that things will all go back to normal, others have convinced themselves that what is happening is inevitable and cannot be opposed. Both are dead wrong. As open struggle against collectivism, communism, authoritarianism, and globalism rises, both of these positions will weaken, and support for freedom will grow.

I put “American Coward” in quotes in my title because honestly, I’m not at all sure that that’s she actually is. Her initial commentary on communism—indeed, the whole piece, which you should definitely read—shows her to be a woman of intelligence, a modest mother of four whose primary concern is for her family’s security and well-being but who nonetheless acutely grasps the overall situation, and is sincerely pained by it.

So is she REALLY a “coward,” then? Or is she a rational, reasonable soul who is deeply troubled by all this but finds herself at sea when it comes to the practicalities of what she can do about it personally? Does her duty to her children override all else? Or does her duty to her country compel her to rise up and take every action she must to help preserve it from Enemies, Domestic? Exactly what IS her duty here, anyway? Might there still be some useful part for her to play? Kit Perez takes a stab at resolving the conundrum.

Dear Sarah,
I wonder how many in the current climate recognize the act of defiance it took for you to write your letter. There will be those who focus on your supposed “cowardice,” as if standing up in the current game of Whack-a-Mole is somehow bravery, and restraint is proof of spinelessness. In reality, it is not cowardice you possess, but a recognition that there are different roles to play in this war, and different times to play them. Not all roles require a rifle, and not all of them are being played right now. I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I fear they will all be in much greater use sooner rather than later.

Your choice to raise your children and train them in freedom, to serve as a support mechanism instead of a front line partisan, is not a cowardly one. The time is coming soon when those fighting for freedom will need a place to hide, food to eat, and a way to communicate. You may be a conduit for supplies, information, and a safe place for a partisan to get a tiny bit of much-needed rest someday in the near future. This is all for naught if our children cannot live in freedom, but doubly so if they do not understand its cost.

There are those who are willing to be on the proverbial tip of the spear, and they see you as well. If they are students of their own role, they understand that yours is crucial too. Paine wrote that “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace; and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty.” Duty doesn’t always mean a rifle, and I have no doubt that you, and many others like you, will find a way to serve in the coming trouble.

Your letter did not fill me with a sense of superiority or judgment for your position, and I do not believe that you are somehow worth less in the cause of freedom. If anything, it made me take heart, because I see you. I see your heart and your willingness to be part of the fight for liberty, if only as a “mere” cog in a larger system, one that is bigger than any of us.

There will be a time when you are needed to take up your role, and that day is coming so much faster than any of us would ever wish for. Perhaps a wounded patriot will find your door in desperate need of help. Maybe you will find a way to get supplies to those who are fighting. Maybe your role is simply to stay alive long enough to tell our story to your children. And if all else fails, in a time when there is seemingly no hope, someone has to pick up our rifles and keep fighting. Your letter says that you will, and that is all we can ask for.

Seems right to me. As I’ve said here several times before, I am way too damned old and sickly now myself to shoulder a fifty-pound ruck, a medium-to-long range rifle and ammunition, and then hump on off for a month-long sniper sojourn in the woods. But among other things, I can roll bandages and/or load mags like a motherfucker. That may not seem like very much, especially to the chest-thumpier types among us, all a-brim with bluff and bluster as they are. But it ain’t nothing, either. Flinging hot lead downrange isn’t the only contribution to be made in wartime, as every real soldier knows. Not by a long yard, it ain’t.

So be of good cheer, Sarah, as much as any of us can manage during these most parlous times. We’ll all have our own part to play in the dark days ahead. Even the most valiant of warriors requires substantial rear-area support in order to fight and win on the front lines. It’s not shirking or cowardice to recognize where and how one can be of most real use, and to know one’s limitations and liabilities. What matters is that we jump in and fill that hole when we see one.

Hey, when he’s right, he’s right.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador suggested Wednesday that politicians who impose lockdowns or curfews to limit COVID-19 are acting like dictators.

The comments came as López Obrador once again fended off questions about why he almost never wears a face mask, saying it was a question of liberty.

The Mexican leader said pandemic measures that limit people’s movements are “fashionable among authorities … who want to show they are heavy handed, dictatorship.”

“A lot of them are letting their authoritarian instincts show,” he said, adding “the fundamental thing is to guarantee liberty.”

Oh wow, I just got chills over here. AMLO is generally regarded as a bit of a left-wing authoritarian his own self. But, as I said: when the guy’s right, he’s right. And here, at least, he sounds way more genuinely American than all too many Americans In Name Only (AINOs?) I could name.

Some local governments in Mexico have tried to use police to enforce limits on masks or movement, which resulted in scandals of abusive behavior by police. López Obrador argues such measures should be voluntary.

“Everyone is free. Whoever wants to wear a face mask and feel safer is welcome to do so,” López Obrador said.

Bingo. And if you’re still quaking in terror over the prospect of contracting a case of the Red Death, stay the fuck home then.

But one area in which Mexico has joined with the rest of the world is in the rush to acquire vaccines. López Obrador urged the country’s medical safety commission, known as Cofepris, to hurry up and approve the vaccine developed by American drugmaker Pfizer and Germany’s BioNTech, which has already been given the go-ahead by regulators in the U.K.

And on Wednesday, Mexico’s Health Department signed a contract for 34.4 million doses of that vaccine, and said it hoped to receive 250,000 doses in December. Each person requires two doses.

Mexico has seen almost 107,000 test-confirmed deaths so far, the fourth-highest toll in the world, but Mexico does relatively little testing and officials estimate the real death toll is closer to 150,000.

OOOOOO, SCARY!!! Right?

The current population of Mexico is 129,558,105 as of Friday, December 18, 2020, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data.

Mexico 2020 population is estimated at 128,932,753 people at mid year according to UN data.

Oh. Um, never mind. I have two problems here, just as I have all along.

Grand County, Colorado: 40% of COVID Deaths Were Actually Victims of Gunshot Wounds

That’s just one of many, many examples of how grotesquely the Shanghai Sniffles “death toll” has been artificially inflated—the numbers juiced purely for political rather than public-health purposes, as cover for the biggest power-grab in the history of ever.

Which, in turn, bolsters the notion behind those two problems I mentioned. To wit: if this shamdemic was really the planet-depopulator it’s been sold as, then A) TPTB wouldn’t have to lie about it as they have been right from the very beginning; B) the very same “leaders” who have so gleefully destroyed entire local and regional economies via lockdowns that they haven’t the legal authority to mandate wouldn’t be out dining in restaurants, attending parties, and such-like themselves, as they’re constantly getting caught doing. They’d be securely bunkered down in the governor’s mansion or someplace instead, quaking in terror of possibly contracting the Red Death.

Y’know, like YOU’RE supposed to be.

To borrow Glenn’s famous phrase about Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly “the weather”): I’ll believe it’s a crisis when the people claiming it’s a crisis start acting like it’s a crisis. Until then? Fuck off and die, the whole flea-bitten lot of ya.

Obamanation

Mission: ACCOMPLISHED. Fundamental transformation: COMPLETE.

You see, on December 15th, 2015, six months after Donald J. Trump declared his candidacy for president and began to rise in the polls.

Former President Barack Obama signed what at the time, appeared to be an innocuous executive order.

However, Obama’s intentions were much more complex and sinister.

Because with that single executive order, Barack Obama launched an accelerated purge of thousands of American patriots from virtually every government agency — including our intelligence services and the military —while replacing them with party loyalists and political operatives loyal not to the country and the Constitution, but to him and his globalist and progressive-socialist agendas.

It was a purge of patriots and a takeover of government that began early on in his first term.

A purge that began by transforming an obscure federal agency hidden deep within the bowels of government, into what soon became a private, stay behind army.

The Senior Executive Service, or “SES,” was created on September 19, 1979 during the Carter administration.

It was originally formed to professionalize career civil service, while attracting the nation’s best and brightest in an effort to improve and modernize the management of the federal bureaucracy.

A position within the “SES” is considered the equivalent to general officer or the flag officer ranks in the U.S. Armed Forces.

To say Obama’s transformation of the SES into an army of political operatives was effective would be a gross understatement.

There are more than 2 million federal government employees. And at the top of that pyramid are approximately 8,000 SES (Senior Executive Service) employees who service as the professional managerial class linking our political leaders to the civil service rank and file.

And Barack Obama as president, replaced more than 6,000 members of the 8,000-member SES during his two terms, assembling what became a stay-behind army of political operatives.

And it wasn’t just a purge of patriots from governmental agencies.

Obama’s purge of the military was especially damaging to our national security, as he literally gutted the command structure of the U.S. military.

Not to mention the demoralization of the ranks due to his policies of radical political correctness.

In all, Obama’s patriot purge included 9 Senior Commanding Generals, 2 Nuclear Commanders, 197 high ranking Senior, General and Flag Officers, along with thousands of non-commissioned officers.

And as damaging as Obama’s purge of the military was, it was his takeover and transformation of the Department of Justice, the F.B.I. and the Intelligence Agencies that raise the greatest threat to America today.

Because instead of being tools for implementing the policies of the president and the United States government…

They’ve become the defacto 4th Branch of Government and are now dictating and carrying out their own policies, while openly subverting and sabotaging those of a duly elected president.

One would hope to find oneself shocked by a story of low skullduggery and treasonous malfeasance like this. But one would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind to be.

If ever there was a walking, talking definition of Enemies, Domestic, it would have to be that jug-eared, slope-shouldered shitweasel. Via WRSA and Bracken, who closes his own commentary with an observation: This Leftist SES coordination is the true unseen power moving the federal govt. Seconded, with big, clanging bells on.

Slow-walking

Another Deep State deflection.

UPDATE: They’re Screwing Trump AGAIN! — DNI Notified “By Career Intelligence Officials” That They WILL NOT MEET December 18 Deadline on Foreign Threats in 2020 Election!

CBS correspondent Catherine Herridge reported Wednesday that DNI John Ratcliffe told CBS “that there was foreign election interference by China, #Iran, and Russia in November of this year.”

CBS Reporter: What did Ratcliffe say about election fraud and interference?

Catherine Herridge: Well DNI Ratcliffe leads the 17 intelligence agencies and he has access to the most highly classified information that is held by the US government. And he told CBS News that there was foreign interference by China, Iran, and Russia in November of this year and he is anticipating a public report on those findings in January.

DNI Ratcliffe was scheduled to release his explosive report on Friday.

But the Deep State just blocked it. They screwed Trump again.

Looks like. See if you can spot the telling bit in the next Tweet.

“Career intelligence officials,” eh? Ohhhhh-KAY, then. After that reveal, the followup is just downright insulting.

Of COURSE you are. Except, y’know, when you aren’t.

If I was Trump, I’d be getting myself and my loved ones just as far away from this disgraceful shithole of a Banana Republic as I possibly could, and I don’t mean slow, either. I’m grateful that he isn’t, and I don’t expect that he will. One can only admire his courage, and respect his iron determination.

But the sorry fact is that on Jan 20th, Usurper Joe WILL be sworn in as “president.” After that infamy, it’s going to be open season on Trump. He and his whole family will be in grave danger—legally and financially at the very least, likely even physically. The persecution they’ve endured for the last five years will intensify; they will end up possibly imprisoned, maybe even killed. The Deep State’s loathsome minions will have their revenge come hell or high water, no matter what, one way or another. Nothing will deter or dissuade them. No fair-minded person could blame Trump at all if he decides to look out for his own while he still can, especially after what the Whores of Babylon have put him through already.

Truth hurts

Your friend and mine SteveF kindly does the gang here a solid by reminding us of a depressingly clear-eyed DP post of his, from nine (!) years ago.

The US Constitution is the “contract” which authorizes the federal government to exist, which gives the government its sole legitimacy. That seems obvious when stated like that, but many people don’t think about it. The US federal government is there and always has been there and does whatever the President says it does.

That way lies tyranny.

I’d argue we’re already there. The federal government blatantly disregards the document, the contract, which authorizes it.

The US federal government has no legitimacy.

The US federal government now operates only by chicanery and naked force.

Given this, what is the moral obligation of the citizenry to support the US federal government?

None whatsoever.

As it was then, orders of magnitude worse now, which renders it damned nigh impossible to argue with a single word. I haven’t the least intention of making myself look foolish by attempting to, either. That way lies self-beclownment.
