There is a lot of talk about violence and how it isn’t necessary. Everyone is asking for everyone to remain calm. So tell me, how exactly are you going to stop this fraudulent President-Elect Biden from being sworn in? Don’t tell me to trust the plan that it is the final act that needs to happen before Trump can act. Seriously? Makes me laugh. We are five days away from our country flat out being stolen from us. The whole world knows this election was stolen. Even Stevie Wonder can see that this election was stolen. And all I hear is “remain calm, trust the plan, we’ll vote them out in two and four years from now, we can survive.” Elections are meaningless now, that has been proven.

What did our Founding Fathers think about violently resisting tyranny? George Washington once said “Firearms stand next to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence. To ensure peace, security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference, they deserve a place of honor with all that is good.” How about Thomas Jefferson? He once said “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” And even though Alexander Hamilton is one of the reasons we are in the mess we find ourselves in now he said this in Federalist Papers 28 “If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.” And don’t tell me that these are different times, that our government is just too powerful. It does not matter. Freedom has always been gained and retained with violence and resistance.

Our government has failed in its duty to follow our founding documents. We are at fault for allowing that. Now is the time to set that right. People are worried about our probability of success and our lack of organization. Understandable, but our own revolution that founded this once great nation started out very small and very unorganized. In fact most rebellions throughout history have always started small. Would our revolution have even happened without Sam Adams and his Sons of Liberty?

The truly scary thing to ponder is: How many “Americans” today would prefer that it hadn’t?

Autonomous County Project

TL proposes a way forward.

This is a post that has been put off and put off due to other more pressing issues literally as the nation hangs in the balance. A presidential election affects the entire nation and therefore the unresolved nature of it is vexing. Regardless whether the election is settled or not, the change from a corrupted and dysfunctional republic to an all out communist state run by the puppet master that is China is another thing.

The Autonomous County Project is something designed to combat the communist wave sweeping the nation. The Constitution embodies some particular ideals that are important for a free people to cling to, even if they pack the courts and turn the Supreme Court into a liberal lovefest, finding everything under the sun “constitutional.” That is where we are. It’s important for the individual to demand their rights, especially when they are being ignored by the establishment. The Constitution embodies those rights, but it cannot create them and cannot destroy them. It can either be an aid in securing them or a nonsensical piece of paper. The difference is up to the people.

The Autonomous County Project is something that was quickly becoming necessary even without the recent election. It was already clear that the people of a given state held vastly different viewpoints from others in that state based on where they lived. Urban populations all over the nation have different values and concerns than the rural population. That in every state, the laws passed by representatives of the urban population were able to disregard the views and beliefs those in the rural part of the state. These blue islands in a sea of red had been able to control the state and therefore the run of the legislature on a state and a national level. But that, in effect, is a democracy, not a republic. The Constitution was written for an overwhelmingly rural people, not considering that at some point the number of people in the cities would outnumber those in the whole rest of the state. They understood the nation from a rural perspective, because they derived their greatest revenue from crops and that requires rural land.

But, one might say: “well, that’s how it works, the greater the population, the more weight in government.” But, it is not how it was supposed to work. There is one overlooked clause in the Constitution.

It’s a good, solid idea, and makes for interesting reading. But it puts the cart before the horse. No attempt at any kind of restoration will bear fruit unless and until our would-be masters are removed, the institutions corrupted by them unmade, the illegitimate power seized by them dissolved. Without all that, any effort to find a peaceful, non-violent way out of this awful situation can only be “interesting reading,” and nothing more.

Taking it all back

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

Starting this week and running through at least Inauguration Day, armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols and at the U.S. Capitol, according to an internal FBI bulletin obtained by ABC News.

The FBI has also received information in recent days on a group calling for “storming” state, local and federal government courthouses and administrative buildings in the event President Donald Trump is removed from office prior to Inauguration Day. The group is also planning to “storm” government offices in every state the day President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated, regardless of whether the states certified electoral votes for Biden or Trump.

“The FBI received information about an identified armed group intending to travel to Washington, DC on 16 January,” the bulletin read. “They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur.”

As well it should. The part I like best of all I’ll put in bold:

Following the violent pro-Trump breach of the U.S. Capitol last Wednesday, Democratic lawmakers in the House of Representatives pushed forward Monday with an effort to get Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, which would declare Trump incapable of performing his presidential duties and would install Pence as acting president until Biden is inaugurated Jan. 20.

The effort was ultimately blocked by Republican Rep. Alex Mooney of West Virginia, and House Democrats then introduced an article of impeachment against Trump for “incitement of insurrection.”

The measure, which has more than 200 Democratic co-sponsors, states Trump has “demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.

Delicious, innit? Demonrat scum are waxing all CONCERNED!!! about a purported “threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution” all of a sudden—three things that they have never, EVER bothered themselves in the least about before. As for that “self-governance and the rule of law” guff? Don’t. Just…don’t. I mean it, don’t EVEN.

I ran this tune not too long ago, but recent events have rendered it truly evergreen.



AT LAST, IT’S HAPPENING

I’ve been watching the news from DC and fielding call after call from all kinds of people all day, but I wanted to at least get one post up on the storming of the Capitol building, evacuation of Congressional traitor scum, and the like. It’s a sad day, but also a great one. This is the beginning of real, meaningful change at long last, and I pray that it continues on for however long it takes to achieve a successful retaking of our nation. Godspeed to all those brave patriots who willingly placed themselves in harm’s way to be a part of this historic effort. May tomorrow morning find DC liberally strewn with Commie traitor corpses, all lit up by the flames of Mordor On The Potomac burning to the fucking ground.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss a word of this one, folks. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’ll say it again: no matter how many cops like this guy there might be out there, we will never, ever have near enough of ’em.

Update! On the other hand.

A Black Lives Matter supporter attacked a Trump supporter this evening in Washington, leaving her face bruised and bloody. When other Trump supporters demonstrating for the president’s reelection struggle stepped in to protect the victim and request that the police arrest her assailant, the police responded by pepper spraying the entire group.

The DC Metro Police have repeatedly proven that the Blue Lives Matter movement must readjust their sights away from city cops. City cops are a different breed, they will cowardly follow the orders of Democrat mayors and stand down while cities burn, but they will quickly step into attack their own supporters.

Why defend them? Why pretend they are valiant heroes running into the Twin Towers?

GP reports on the only logical response:

A pro-Trump Marine went off on the DC Police after officers maced Stop the Steal protesters the night before Wednesday’s big rally.

Police have been using a very heavy hand with Trump supporters to protect the Antifa and Black Lives Matter militants who are gathered in BLM Plaza.

“You lost both sides of support. We had your f***ing back, but we ain’t got your back no more!” the man shouts.

Just as we can never have enough cops like that Florida sheriff, in certain parts of the country we are badly oversupplied with, y’know, the other kind.

FINALLY!

Not a moment too soon, either.

Pomp Hair Salon in Stockton California was raided by state officials who cited the salon for continuing operations. The subsequent misdemeanor citation comes from the state. However, local law enforcement and county prosecution say they will not participate in the enforcement mechanism.

This creates an unusual dynamic as the state has threatened to revoke licenses for the salon and the workers; but what “enforcement” action could the state undertake?

The issues highlighted here cover more than hair salons. Restaurants and bars are facing similar threats from regulatory agencies: Dept of Health, Bureau of Alcohol, etc. It is the regulatory issue that keeps many business owners in fear of defying COVID lock-downs.

If local officials break from state regulatory and compliance demands, there’s no precedent for what enforcement action a state might attempt to take unilaterally.

Would ideologically prone state governors attempt to send State Police to enforce their unilateral fiats and face a showdown with local law enforcement?

It is into this dynamic when everyone should remember the County Sheriff is the highest constitutional officer in the region. A county sheriff can nullify any outside law enforcement agency by simply not complying. This is a well known issue inside law enforcement.

This takes the blue state (totalitarianism) -vs- red state (freedom/liberty) issue into a more granular distinction. Within the Blue States there are likely to be contests of power between local and state officials. It is an interesting dynamic.

Oh, I’d say it’s a good bit more than just “interesting.” It’s vital, is what it is.

Pre-arranged battle plan

All the tools we’ll ever need are already in our kit, having been placed there for our use long, long ago.

Critics and supporters alike must understand that all of the weapons to fight back against a tyrannical government, either county, state or federal, was written over two hundred years ago in anticipation of a time such as this. How to handle a corrupt election was covered in the 12th Amendment and requires the President of the Senate (the Vice President) to open the ballots for president and if there is a tie, produced in this case by the alternate electors, “the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote” This gives the Vice President the ability to deny the electors from states who conducted fraudulent elections, or to equally value those representing the current president.

The First Amendment recognizes the right of the people to speak freely and to redress grievances against the government. What this means, is that the people need to be free to read whatever might be published about the corruption of the government and the government cannot inhibit our ability to do so. They cannot deny that we gather and demand a redress of grievances and never has there been a more important time to do so. The president has asked the people to present themselves on the 6th of January, in Washington, D.C. as a show of force against the corrupt and illegitimate results of the presidential election.

The Second Amendment allows us to be armed as a means of overwhelming the power of the government to dissuade us from exercising all of our other rights, especially the right to demand a redress of grievances. Laws have been passed lately to deny that right, but I suggest that there never has been a time to ignore such unconstitutional laws as when one is going to demand their constitutional rights to have a free and fair election validated by the count of the actual and legal votes of the American people. 

The Fourth Amendment guarantees our right to hold private conversations, without the interference of government intrusion, exactly so that we might conspire against such government that has violated so many rights of the people. 

The recognition must be made that we are at war. Those who would subjugate us to a foreign power are standing in the wings of this election, prepared to deliver us to our foreign enemies. They are in league with foreign enemies by virtue of ideology, that ideology being one of globalism rather than nationalism. It is a betrayal of monumental proportions and it stares us right in the face. 

While the Constitution was written to make us feel better about our ultimate rebellion against an illegitimate and antagonistic government, it is not the words on paper that give us that right. Self-determination about the condition of our lives gives us that right. What we recognize in the Constitution is that our forebears understood and recognized that someday we would have to cling to the banner for which it stands and declare ourselves free. They gave us the tools by which we might resist this usurpation of the will of the people, but it did not demand that we use it. That is for us to decide. In our freedom, we will decide to be free or enslaved and only those who show up and do their duty will decide which it is to be. 

That’s about the size of it, yeah.

Whodunit?

It begins. Or….does it???

Having a life, I didn’t get to the Internet early on Christmas Day to check into the particulars of the appalling blast that went off in downtown Nashville the morning of 25 December.  So I am hardly the first to notice that the homely little RV seen in security camera videos, which apparently carried the bomb to the intended location, was parked directly adjacent to a major regional hub facility for AT&T, located in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue North.

The AT&T building took the greatest damage from the enormous blast, and I doubt we will learn at any point that something else was supposedly the target.  At least two eyewitnesses speaking to local media confirmed that the RV sat on the street a few feet from the AT&T building for some time (apparently a minimum of nearly an hour; possibly more) prior to the blast.

However, there appears to be a (possibly minor) discrepancy for which I haven’t yet seen a resolution.  The location from which the RV seemed to be broadcasting an audio warning over a loudspeaker, if we go by the viral image seen across American TV screens on Friday, was not the location where it blew up.  It’s not just that an eyewitness interviewed on a local news station described a different location (video below).  It’s that there’s no bomb blast where the RV was sitting in that viral image.  The bomb blast is visible in post-explosion videos down where the eyewitnesses have said it was just before the explosion.  So the RV apparently moved — not just down the street, but across the street — after the Nashville police provided the image that went viral.

Lots more stuff at the link, and a hol-eee-FUCK!!!-ton more to mull over. In the course of citing the arrest of a purported suspect already, Bill mentions another of an abundance of aspects to this which are well out of the usual run:

There you have it. Dunno what it means. A smallish, 63 year old longhair gave his house away, filled his RV with high explosives, and blew up the AT&T regional center.

Your guess is as good as mine. Random observation: They are releasing a hell of a lot of info very quickly. That usually only occurs when the authorities want to establish one particular narrative.

My personal gut take, strictly off the cuff and based on not much, is that this thing smells like some kind of proof-of-concept trial run, perhaps meant to determine the reach of the AT&T comm node that was the obvious target. But who knows. I’m pretty confident that it ain’t Muzzrats this time. As natural (and usually accurate) an assumption as that is nowadays, the evacuation warning broadcast for a half-hour before boomtime militates against that well enough all by itself, I should think. OTOH, I’ve seen it noted here and there that THAT is an old tried-and-true standby from the IRA’s bag ‘o tricks.

Nor do I suspect any pAntiFa/BLM/random Commie lunkheads. Those cretins would most likely have fumblefucked their way into a premature detonation and blown themselves up.

No, I think it’s gotta be White Guys on this one. Whether it was OUR WGs, or false flag Feds, or some other bunch with unknowm designs, we may never know. But White Guys for sure. The only real certainty is something that I reminded my brother about yesterday, the sly warning we’ve all heard from teachers or professors: You WILL be seeing this material again.

In the mid 1980s, Cuba began to allow flights from the USA to Cuba via the Bahamas and Mexico. The anti-communist Cubans in South Florida took a dim view of the travel agencies that handled the arrangements. A method to show their displeasure was the near-simultaneous bombings of several of these travel agencies in South Florida. (Same night, indicating coordination and professionalism.)

The method of attack was simple and ingenious. A big plastic commercial-grade trash bin on wheels was placed outside the store-front windows of the targets. Looks innocent enough at night. A simple camping gas bottle was opened at the bottom, a plumber’s candle was taped near the top. The lid of the bin kept the candle from blowing out, or the rising gas from blowing away, and the lid hid the candle light from view. But the lid did not totally seal the bin, so the candle would keep burning. The rising gas reaches the lit candle, and BOOM.

These simple gas bombs totally gutted the travel agencies, blowing out their interior walls and ceilings. The businesses on either side were heavily damaged also. (This happened without the greater effect of the gas bomb trash bin being located in a tight alley with walls on either side, that is, no “tamping” effect to amplify the blast wave.)

Now move from Miami 1980s to Nashville 2020 and do some SWAG extrapolation, from an 80 or 100 gallon commercial-size wheeled plastic trash bin, to a pretty big RV. The Nashville bomber/s didn’t detonate a propane tank full of liquid propane, he/they just let the bottles fill the entire RV with a thick cloud of gas. The trash bins that totally wrecked the travel agencies contained about a max of 10 cubic feet of gas when they reached the lit candle. What are the dimensions of the interior of an RV like the one in Nashville? Call it 20L X 8W X 6H just for a rough calculation, ignoring the cab area. I come up with 960 cubic feet, call it a thousand with the cab. 10 cubic feet in a trash bin placed outside the windows of the travel agencies totally wrecked wrecked them, ceilings and walls blown out, neighbor businesses heavily damaged. The bin bomb is 10 cubic feet of gas. The RV bomb is a thousand cubic feet of gas.

No crater tells me it’s not even ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil), which is about 40% as powerful as TNT, depending on variables, which is given an explosive factor of 1.0. (C-4 is 1.4) Even an ANFO bomb would have cratered the street. IMHO this was “just” a pressure bomb. I’m guessing it was simple flammable gas released into a sealed container (the RV with all outlets sealed) and ignited remotely or on a timer.

For sure the feds already know all this. They are probably freaking out because they will not be able to keep it a secret how easy it is to make a rolling gas bomb. The purpose of this bomb might have been “educational,” just to show how simple and powerful a mobile gas bomb can be to create and use.

You’ll want to read the whole post, of course, but I’m finding the “WHY” more interesting than the “WHO” or the “HOW” at the moment.

Even with the warning, considerable collateral damage to businesses on Second Street and close by was inevitable, as if they all hadn’t had enough already.

Nevertheless, the person or persons who did this act—likely experienced with explosives in some way—ignored that potential destruction.

They clearly wanted to send a message he, she or they believed was of too much importance.

At this point anyway, that message appears to be that we live in a surveillance state from the likes of AT&T and our government and that that must end for the survival of our republic as it was conceived.

Our liberties no longer exist. China may be trying to take us over, but we’re already halfway there ourselves.

Given how divided our country is, what happened in Nashville this Christmas morning may have been the first salvo in a second civil war.

Of course, there is always the possibility that one side is impersonating the other in this action—that it is a false-flag operation.

But if so, it’s even more a license for civil war.

Whose statues will be torn down this time?

If this does turn out to be our time’s Ft Sumter Moment, statues and monuments are going to be of little or no concern. Gonna be plenty of other things torn down that are of FAR greater—or at least more immediate—importance, I suspect.

Turnabout is fair play

Let the remoras and leeches of government share our pain. At all levels, in every way, in full measure.

In late September, Congress passed a bill to keep the government funded at current levels through this Friday. Trump has refused to sign the comprehensive funding bill tied to providing new $600 stimulus checks to qualifying Americans. It’s clear that they don’t have much time to resolve their disagreements and pass a law President Trump will support.

Most likely, they will pass another extension, but Trump has already signaled he would rather use a pocket veto and let the next president handle the issue than sign a bill he can’t support. Such a standoff risks a government shutdown if a solution cannot be passed and signed.

President Trump has had three shutdowns in his term as president, the longest being 35 days between December 2018 and January 2019 over the issue of funding for the border wall. That shutdown forced about 800,000 federal government workers to go on furlough without pay. If an extension is not passed to avoid a shutdown, thousands of government workers considered nonessential would again be furloughed or forced to work without pay until the shutdown ends.

Government leaders love to say how they experience our pain for the lockdowns generated in many Democrat controlled states and cities during the COVID Pandemic restrictions. Many Americans have lost jobs; some have lost their businesses. Government workers can talk as though they understand, but they’ve had no cuts in salary or their retirement plans. They have been insulated from the consequences of their own actions.

When have they ever NOT been? In truth, our Masters go to extraordinary lengths to ensure they’re protected, and always will be.

Phony War III

Will it get real?

We are in the initial phase of the new civil war. Call it the phony war, which was also the “strangely quiet start to World War II.” The Second World War went eight months without significant hostilities on the Western Front, months marked by puzzlement and hesitancy (see the “Confetti War,” which stemmed from the Phony War.)

America’s first civil war had its phony phase of sorts, too. Lincoln was elected on November 6, 1860. Fort Sumter was attacked on April 12, 1861. Over five months, tensions built, and then hostilities commenced.

The parallels aren’t exact, of course. But the phony phase of this new civil war is reminiscent. One of the grievous errors made in warfare is fighting the current war like the last. In this instance, it’s expecting that wars have orthodoxies, and if those orthodoxies aren’t present, then there isn’t war. Understandings must change.
         
Liberty’s enemies have opted for brinkmanship to settle matters, once and for all. They haven’t mustered armies to seize Washington, D.C.(would they have to anyway?) and occupy red states. Give them credit. They aim to achieve their coup without firing a shot. Call it a velvet-gloved coup d’état. Some are terming it a “Color Revolution.” The war they’re waging to seize power is conspiratorial, innovative, multidimensional. It relies on subterfuge, misinformation, misdirection, audacity, and a gamble: that while millions of patriots may now squawk and shake their fists, they will go no further…that when Biden is installed as president, and the cabal he fronts holds the levers of power, resistance will be futile, anyway. Anger will give way to sullen resignation.

The Left’s possibly fatal mistake was that successfully stealing the election forces the hand of those “millions of patriots.” With their backs against the wall, patriots left with but two options: surrender and lose all, or prove once and for all that the arrogance behind the Left’s “they will go no further” assumption was unjustified. The entire coup depends on this assumption being accurate. If it isn’t, and enough patriots are indeed willing to go to the mat to take their freedom and their country back, it’s the Left that will lose all.

Which brings us all back around to the Biggest Question again: Are Americans still Americans? Or are they not?

The betting is that liberty’s enemies have misjudged patriots. Today, this generation is being called, and the call will be answered. The enemy will marvel — as other enemies have wondered before — as patriots fight with resolve for freedom.

Liberty is nonnegotiable, and patriots vow unabashedly: Sic Semper Tyrannis.

America isn’t its real estate. It’s unique in human history, in that it’s an idea and ideal, the product of timeless principles and enduring values. America as conceived in liberty is what the fight is for.

Don’t let this phony war fool you. The present is deceptive. The cabal that failing and corrupt Joe Biden fronts knows that if it succeeds in installing Biden, it will have 48 months to cement its hold not just on presidential elections, but elections down ballot. 48 months to scuttle Trump’s achievements and impose its own radical, antiliberty polices and edicts, thereby forever changing the United States. If successful, the Constitution won’t be worth the parchment it’s written on. And if Trump returns to the White House?  War it will still be.

We’ve entered momentous and perilous times, comparable to the four years of the Civil War and the eight years of the Revolution. How this war evolves is unknowable. Wars tend to have lives of their own. No patriot should assume a favorable outcome. The days ahead must be hard fought, for victory must be hard won. It’s simply the price of freedom.

T’is so, and t’was ever thus. Ringing down through the long years, perhaps more relevant now than ever before, come the deathless words:

In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope. If we wish to be free—if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending—if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon, until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained—we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of Hosts is all that is left us!

They tell us, sir, that we are weak—unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature has placed in our power. Three millions of people armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, air, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable—and let is come! I repeat it, sir, let it come!

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace—but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

Amen, to every word. May God grant that we honor our noble forefathers and prove ourselves worthy of their legacy.

During an impromptu address from the White House Tuesday night, President Trump called his supporters to “raise their voices” and demand that election injustices be “immediately corrected.”

“If this egregious fraud is not fully investigated and addressed, the 2020 election will forever be regarded as illegitimate and the most corrupt election in the history of our country,” the president declared.

In his remarks, President Trump sought to explain to the American people why he is “so determined to pursue every legal and constitutional option available” to overturn the 2020 election.

“As president, one of my most solemn duties is to protect the integrity of your sacred right to vote,” Trump said. “This year, using the virus as a pretext, Democrat officials in the key swing states illegally violated their own state laws in order to enable, encourage and facilitate fraud on a scale never before seen in the history of our country.”

The president insisted that he won the election by a landslide. “We won it big,” he said.

“Now is the time for the American people to raise their voices and demand that this injustice be immediately corrected,” Trump said.

Sorry, Mr President, but mere voices aren’t going to fix this, no matter how many of them we raise or how high we raise them. How could they, when we know our enemies are deaf to them anyhow? No, I’m afraid we’ll have to raise something more, um, tangible, shall we say. Something that causes more than just psychological pain when it’s raised. Something that will raise a few things in its own special way: bruises, welts, blisters, scars.

You’re right, however, to urge We the People to stand with you in support. The fact is that, sooner or later, the defense of liberty always falls to us. The task is far too vital to trust a proven-untrustworthy “leadership” cabal to see the job done. We have shirked; we have been slack and indolent, we have sought to fob our duty off on others. Even worse, we seem to have forgotten that it ever was our duty in the first damned place.

As a result, we’ve fallen badly behind on the maintenance that keeps our blessed inheritance properly tuned, and now find ourselves in one hell of a mess. The Constitution engine is wheezing, clanking, spewing smoke and fluids from a dozen places due to years of neglect and abuse. It’s dangerously close to throwing a rod or breaking the crank, seizing it beyond hope of repair. It’s no more than appropriate and just that we re-shoulder the burden, take up the tools prescribed in the manual (yes, I do mean THOSE tools, should the Enemy persist in his ever-more-crude thievery and thuggery), and get back to work before we find ourselves broken down far from home, stranded in a dark and dismal place into which we should never have strayed, and will endlessly rue the visit.

“Do We Have What They Had in 1776?”

The biggest question of them all, one that will be answered for all time very soon.

In 1776, 56 brave patriots signed their names at the bottom of the Declaration of Independence — a document that spelled out the specifics as to why the thirteen colonies were making a break with England and King George.

Signing that document was treason against the British, and every single man, some with names you know — Benjamin Franklin, Sam Adams, and of course John Hancock — and some you may not, such as Thomas McKean, Button Gwinnett, and Arthur Middleton, risked literal life, limb, and property by doing so. Had the British prevailed, they very well may have ended their days in front of a firing squad or at the end of a hangman’s noose. Yet still they signed.

The interesting thing is, only about a quarter of the population actively supported the break with England at the time the Declaration was signed. Another quarter, largely those whose fortunes benefited greatly from the connection with England (which some of the signers did themselves), wanted to remain part of the Empire, while fully half the population were what we’d call today “undecided.”

The reality is, leaders do what these men and others did: they led, they fought, and they went home and convinced their fellow citizens about the righteousness of their cause and inspired others to join the fight. In the end, they prevailed, and in doing so, they set forth a path that changed the course of human history, much for the better.

Today America finds itself in a place not so different from what the thirteen colonies faced 246 years ago. While the thirteen disjointed colonies faced the greatest empire the world had ever known, patriots today face the greatest propaganda machine in human history: the Democrat-Media-Tech Industrial Complex.

There are two big differences, however. The first is that the thirteen colonies had the benefit of 56 men who were willing to stand up and challenge the king and parliament in order to do what they knew to be right. Today, patriots find a largely barren wasteland devoid of leaders willing to stand up as the Democrats and their cabal seek to steal an election in broad daylight.

The other difference is that in 1776, war was the last option available to the patriots. In 2020, patriots still have one last option before something drastic…and the odds of it succeeding are as slim as those faced by the thirteen tiny colonies taking on the most powerful empire in the world.

You know what’s coming next, don’tcha? You should.

As The Hill detailed earlier in the week, there is a constitutional tactic through which the Republic can be saved — and make no mistake: that is exactly what is at stake here.

The tactic involves senators and representatives using the procedures outlined in the Constitution and the Electoral Count Act (ECA) to delay the acceptance of the electors to a point where the House would then choose the president, with each state having a single vote. Given that Republicans control a majority of the state delegations, Donald Trump would be declared the winner.

Sigh. And if that doesn’t work, why, Trump can run again in 2024! Right?!? And when THAT doesn’t work, why, we’ll just keep on FIGHTY-FIGHT-FIGHT-FIGHT-FIGHTIN’, until the Democrat-Socialists finally agree to give our petitions for redress a fair and honest hearing before the beatings resume! YAAAY, ‘MURKA! WE WON!!!

Looks like the title question got answered a lot sooner than I expected.

An “American Coward” speaks

Holding back anticipating a safety in numbers that may never come.

Every one of those Americans who understands this must realize that this is it. This is the last moment for the American Republic, the last time we will even have a glimmer of a chance of an honest election result, and the last time any opposition to modern communism will be afforded space in the public square. And yet, neither I nor most of you are going to do anything about this situation that might risk our present status or comfort.

This is why I won’t yet act.

Unfortunately for me, the crisis has come either too late or too early. Our family has four young children, a single income, and a base of assets which could be easily lost but probably never replaced. We are maximally vulnerable to the sorts of attacks which collectivists bring against those who fight back.

Even so, if the fight were on, if the majority of Americans who this past election shows are opposed to creeping collectivism were on the march, I would risk it all to join them. No comfort, no wealth, not even life itself is as important as preserving the possibility of human freedom. The hive-society prison which is being built around us must be demolished at any cost.

But when I look around me, I see many people who are paralyzed as I am. We know that the fight for our republic is unavoidable, and that the time is now, but do not see a nucleus of resistance to which we can pledge our lives, fortunes, and sacred honors without it being tantamount to suicide. We are watching and waiting for someone else to be that nucleus.

Most people who have not committed to the cause of freedom are not conscious supporters of modern communism. Some hold out the futile hope that things will all go back to normal, others have convinced themselves that what is happening is inevitable and cannot be opposed. Both are dead wrong. As open struggle against collectivism, communism, authoritarianism, and globalism rises, both of these positions will weaken, and support for freedom will grow.


I put “American Coward” in quotes in my title because honestly, I’m not at all sure that that’s she actually is. Her initial commentary on communism—indeed, the whole piece, which you should definitely read—shows her to be a woman of intelligence, a modest mother of four whose primary concern is for her family’s security and well-being but who nonetheless acutely grasps the overall situation, and is sincerely pained by it.

So is she REALLY a “coward,” then? Or is she a rational, reasonable soul who is deeply troubled by all this but finds herself at sea when it comes to the practicalities of what she can do about it personally? Does her duty to her children override all else? Or does her duty to her country compel her to rise up and take every action she must to help preserve it from Enemies, Domestic? Exactly what IS her duty here, anyway? Might there still be some useful part for her to play? Kit Perez takes a stab at resolving the conundrum.

Dear Sarah,
I wonder how many in the current climate recognize the act of defiance it took for you to write your letter. There will be those who focus on your supposed “cowardice,” as if standing up in the current game of Whack-a-Mole is somehow bravery, and restraint is proof of spinelessness. In reality, it is not cowardice you possess, but a recognition that there are different roles to play in this war, and different times to play them. Not all roles require a rifle, and not all of them are being played right now. I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but I fear they will all be in much greater use sooner rather than later.

Your choice to raise your children and train them in freedom, to serve as a support mechanism instead of a front line partisan, is not a cowardly one. The time is coming soon when those fighting for freedom will need a place to hide, food to eat, and a way to communicate. You may be a conduit for supplies, information, and a safe place for a partisan to get a tiny bit of much-needed rest someday in the near future. This is all for naught if our children cannot live in freedom, but doubly so if they do not understand its cost.

There are those who are willing to be on the proverbial tip of the spear, and they see you as well. If they are students of their own role, they understand that yours is crucial too. Paine wrote that “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace; and this single reflection, well applied, is sufficient to awaken every man to duty.” Duty doesn’t always mean a rifle, and I have no doubt that you, and many others like you, will find a way to serve in the coming trouble.

Your letter did not fill me with a sense of superiority or judgment for your position, and I do not believe that you are somehow worth less in the cause of freedom. If anything, it made me take heart, because I see you. I see your heart and your willingness to be part of the fight for liberty, if only as a “mere” cog in a larger system, one that is bigger than any of us.

There will be a time when you are needed to take up your role, and that day is coming so much faster than any of us would ever wish for. Perhaps a wounded patriot will find your door in desperate need of help. Maybe you will find a way to get supplies to those who are fighting. Maybe your role is simply to stay alive long enough to tell our story to your children. And if all else fails, in a time when there is seemingly no hope, someone has to pick up our rifles and keep fighting. Your letter says that you will, and that is all we can ask for.

Seems right to me. As I’ve said here several times before, I am way too damned old and sickly now myself to shoulder a fifty-pound ruck, a medium-to-long range rifle and ammunition, and then hump on off for a month-long sniper sojourn in the woods. But among other things, I can roll bandages and/or load mags like a motherfucker. That may not seem like very much, especially to the chest-thumpier types among us, all a-brim with bluff and bluster as they are. But it ain’t nothing, either. Flinging hot lead downrange isn’t the only contribution to be made in wartime, as every real soldier knows. Not by a long yard, it ain’t.

So be of good cheer, Sarah, as much as any of us can manage during these most parlous times. We’ll all have our own part to play in the dark days ahead. Even the most valiant of warriors requires substantial rear-area support in order to fight and win on the front lines. It’s not shirking or cowardice to recognize where and how one can be of most real use, and to know one’s limitations and liabilities. What matters is that we jump in and fill that hole when we see one.

President Trump announced via Twitter that following a meeting to discuss the current state of 2020 election fraud with Attorney General Bill Barr, the U.S. AG will be departing his position before Christmas.

Barr’s resignation letter is…well, see for yourself.

Dear Mr President,  
I appreciate the opportunity to update you this afternoon on the Department’s review of voter fraud allegations in the 2020 election and how these allegations will continue to be pursued. At a time when the country is so deeply divided, it is incumbent on all levels of government, and all agencies acting within their purview, to do all we can to assure the integrity of elections and promote public confidence in their outcome.

I am greatly honoured that you called on me to serve your administration and the American people once again as Attorney General. I am proud to have played a role in the many successes and unprecedented achievements you have delivered for the American people. Your 2016 victory speech in which you reached out to your opponents and called for working together for the benefit of the American people was immediately met by a partisan onslaught against you in which no tactic, no matter how abusive and deceitful, was out of bounds. The nadir of this campaign was the effort to cripple, if not oust, your administration with frenzied and baseless accusations of collusion with Russia.

Few could have weathered these attacks, much less forge ahead with a positive program for the country. You built the strongest and most resilient economy in American history – one that has brought unprecedented progress to those previously left out. You have restored American military strength. By brokering historic peace deals in the Mideast you have achieved what most thought impossible. You have curbed illegal immigration and enhanced the security of our nation’s borders. You have advanced the rule of law by appointing a record number of judges committed to constitutional principles. With Operation Warp Speed, you delivered a vaccine for coronavirus on a schedule no one thought conceivable – a feat that will undoubtedly save millions of lives.

Downright effusive in his praise for Trump. Unexpected? Or perfectly in character? Barr has a knack for saying all the right things, and being quite eloquent in doing so, too. Whatever he may actually be—dithering, ineffectual-but-honest-in-the-main pedant or conniving Deep State malefactor—after years of tail-chasing “investigation” with no significant results in sight, it’s time for him to go.



The Troubles

Or, as some of the fresh-off-the-boat Irish lads I used to run around with back in my NYC days always pronounced it, The Thrubbles.

The descent of a once-peaceful republic into blood and chaos happened quickly. It took place over a year or two, after police stepped aside while mobs set up barricades, torched homes, and eventually started shooting their political enemies.

Other lessons from the Troubles:

  • Snipers were most effective early on. The British forces adapted by switching to sniper-proof guard towers, armored vehicles, and helicopters. Soldiers were issued body armor and helmets. The British forces also employed counter-snipers.
  • Snipers were responsible for about 220 deaths and about 1,100 non-fatal casualties. But those represented only 11 percent of all British police and military casualties claimed by the IRA. The rest came from improvised explosive devices, car bombs, drive-by shootings, and close-in assassinations.
  • The IRA pioneered conducting a sniper attack from inside a vehicle. One team used a Barrett .50 caliber rifle inside a Mazda 626 hatchback. The shooter would lie prone and fire through a one-foot shooting port in the rear of the vehicle. After the shot, a metal shield would be moved into place as armor.
  • The British Military Reconnaissance Force, attached to 39th Infantry Brigade, ran a laundry business. The Four-Square Laundry was a front organization that existed to conduct reconnaissance and run forensic tests on clothing belonging to suspected IRA members. The IRA learned about it and wiped it out in a daylight attack by three gunmen with a Thompson sub-machine gun, an M1 carbine, and a .45 semi-automatic handgun.
  • The IRA used honeytraps. In one example two young women, who appeared to be between 18 and 22 years old, frequented the lounge bar of the Woodlands Hotel. They lured British soldiers to a nearby apartment, and excused themselves briefly. Two IRA gunmen burst in and assassinated the soldiers.
  • Protestant newspapers served as anti-Catholic propaganda outlets. In 1971, one published a letter referring to Catholics as “animals crawling into Ulster.” It said: “You’ve got to fight fire with fire, and personally I don’t think they’ve enough fire to make the animals sweat.” Loyalist News said Catholics wanted to “enslave the people” and recommended Protestants “organize themselves immediately.”


Unlike our peaceful republic, Northern Ireland was plagued by a left-wing paramilitary organization that targeted peaceful Irish families. Politicians dialed up the rhetoric by blaming Catholic deplorables for anti-government sentiments, and media organizations worked to dehumanize their opponents. Normal Americans must be shaking their heads at how Northern Ireland’s justice system allowed barricades to go up in cities.

We are more fortunate. That could never happen here.

Yeah, lucky us.

Speaking of my old NYC Irish chums, and apropos of nothing whatsoever, I hope I’m not speaking out of turn when I mention a guy I knew fairly well back then. He was the owner of a once-famous, long-gone-and-much-lamented concert hall on 19th Street, both bearing names I’ll refrain from mentioning. We played the place ourselves regularly back in the day, along with a whole slew of other touring acts of every genre. I couldn’t even begin to recount how many unforgettable shows I saw in that joint.

As it happens, said to-remain-nameless owner—being well-connected with some IRA sorts who would pop in to visit on the occasional fundraising and/or gun-procuring jaunt Stateside—troubled himself to introduce me to a couple of these gents at barside, God only knows why. There was also a fair Colleen working for him as a waitress that I was enjoying something of a dalliance with concurrently. Anyhoo.

Understand me well: I have spent a goodly portion of my life happily cheek-by-jowl with some truly scary people. Hells Angels in NYC; Outlaws in Chicago; miscellaneous and sundry reprobates from squarely within the Mad, Bad, and Dangerous To Know demographic. All of them I have bent an elbow with, played music for, and just generally enjoyed the company of, without the slightest anxiety or concern. Well, for the most part.

And I gotta tell ya: scary they may have been, but NONE of those guys froze the marrow like those IRA guys did. Merely being in the same room with them inspired one to start checking six on a frequent basis.

I was there once with a close friend of mine, now deceased, who was nothing short of a badass his own self. We were at 19th St to see a show. As we passed by on the way to our table one of those IRA dudes made an off-color crack regarding my friend’s girlfriend. We sat the female down, whereupon Chris requested my accompaniment as backup for his intended confrontation of the offending blaggard. We walked back towards the guy prefatory to Chris speaking his piece; the guy was perched on a barstool, Guiness in hand, just as cool as some cucumbers as we approached all stiff-legged, jaws clenched and shoulders squared.

The IRA guy said NOTHING. Not a single syllable did he utter. But his eyes—which never for a moment wavered from their absolute lock on the two large and obviously angry guys approaching—his eyes had Death in them. Chris, who I had never, ever seen back down or knuckle under to a living soul, not once…backed the fuck on down.

Me? I was damned glad he did.

That IRA guy would have made mincemeat of the both of us and never broke a sweat or missed a moment’s sleep over it afterwards. Doubtless he would have sat down and enjoyed himself a nice rare steak after cutting our throats in the most casual fashion. I ain’t kidding in the least, y’all. That’s how just plain scary this guy was. It just rolled off of him in waves, intimidating one of the biggest, toughest, most fearless guys I ever knew into turning himself around and slinking off with nothing more than a steely-eyed glare. I never saw the beat of it, before or since, and I hope I never do again.

Being of Irish descent myself, I always longed to pay a visit to the Emerald Isle someday. After that near-miss brush with heartless Fate, though, the ambition lost a lot of its urgency, I do admit it.
