Know thine enemy

Billy Beck on the ultimate hopelessness of any campaign of “massed passive civil disobedience“—he cites the examples of Thoreau, MLK, and Ghandi—waged against an essentially amoral, conscience-bereft foe. Such as, say, the US government.

None of this would have worked against Hitler, Stalin, or Mao.

Can you think why?

It’s because the very idea of passive disobedience of unjust law, and submitting one’s own life to it, requires a moral conscience in the enemy, to which to make the appeal. One cannot stand in front of a criminal without moral conscience and appeal for a rational mercy. He simply will not care. In Nazi Germany, the USSR, or Communist China (to this very day), all three of these men and their followers would have been summarily crushed.

And this brings us to America in the 21st century.

The central question in all of this, in our current context is:

Is there enough of a moral conscience remaining in American culture to which to appeal by “flooding the courts and embracing the prisons,” as I said?

I still think the question is valid, but I am less certain of the answer than ever before.

The reason why is this:

It’s the socialists who are driving ethics and politics in America, now. Anything resembling anti-socialist politics (of any variant) has been fighting a rear-guard action since the end of the Reagan administration. (Their intellectual and moral cowardice, however, goes back to their betrayal of Barry Goldwater in 1964, and this is actually a very good analogy to Trump, today. John McCain is a great example.) Culturally, the socialists have possessed the political and ethical initiative beginning with Clinton in 1993.

There is no price that they would not pay — in your money or blood — in order to establish their utopia. The notorious communist historian Eric Hobsbawm said that twenty million lives would be worth it. He said this in 1994. He meant what he said, and all socialists hold the same basic conviction.

What’s at question here is the nature of the fight.

Thoreau, Gandhi, and King were spiritual soldiers. The difference is that they didn’t fight with guns. They fought with ideas, in action.

The socialists have no serious regard for dissent of any sort, and they reject ideas, especially. They do not value human morality: theirs is the morality (if we call it that) of predatory animals.

Billy posted this back in January, two days after the 1/6 “insurrection” false-flag op. The subsequent calamities since, compounded by the terrifying acceleration of their rate of occurrence, serve to underline the post’s grim continuing relevance.

We’ve seen plenty and to spare of strident editorial blatting from our self-styled allies employing a too-familiar and increasingly irksome MO: first, forthrightly acknowledge that we now have ourselves an actual, by-God war on our hands here—a war it is absolutely imperative for Team Liberty to wage, and to win—then, after several of what were once quaintly known as “column inches” all a-brim with steamy fooferaw in support of “fighting” and “defying” and “resisting” and other such tough talk, suddenly reverse course to nonchalantly insist that said war must, dammit, MUST be “fought” strictly via “legal, Constitutional, nonviolent” methods. The premise behind that alacritous back-and-fill is fundamentally flawed, the underlying assumption sheer fantasy.

Left unsaid is a dated and dangerous misperception: that any hope still remains that the DC Leviathan-state sitting atop America’s heaving torso like the elephant in the Spiriva inhaler commercials might yet be reformed; that it is in the main staffed with basically decent, honest Americans who predominantly hold bedrock values which, despite being in notable disagreement with those of the Founders, can nevertheless be trusted to fulfill their oath to uphold them; that both of these projects are worth pursuing in serious fashion, and not mere pipe dreams, flights of fancy, or full-on delusions so obviously untethered from reality that Don Quixote de la Mancha himself would sneer at them as preposterous.

Misguided or misinformed our Left antagonists may well be, these people keen. But at the end of the day, they are still our countrymen, fellow Americans within whose hearts the Declaration’s immortal pulse still strongly beats, and who therefore can still be reached by appeals to a reason they’re immune to, in advocacy of principles they abhor. If Team Liberty can only present its argument logically and respectfully enough; find a sympathetic enough judge to preside over its latest lawsuit; assemble marchers in number enough for the next nonviolent protest rally…why, The Enemy must SURELY be so impressed by such restraint, such rectitude, such politesse that he will simply HAVE to agree to reconsider and relent! Right?

RIGHT?!?

Wrong. As Billy says, such intellectual diffidence is but a recipe for defeat against an enemy such as this. If we are to win through, we must first of all face some difficult facts: That the government for which the Constitution provided the blueprint exists now in memory alone; that the current government bears not so much as a passing resemblance to its predecessor, no matter how tightly one squints one’s eyes, rendering it by definition an illegitimate, fraudulent, and thus intolerable imposture; that the core beliefs, assumptions, and ambitions of We The People are in direct opposition to those of our adversary, creating a yawning political and ideological chasm so deep and so wide it can never be spanned. Most crucial of all: that compromise and peaceful coexistence between the two sides is no longer possible.

When you must do battle with a monstrous adversary who places no limit on the extremes his barbarism and cruelty might compass—a struggle in which defeat means death, quite literally—then your survival will depend on recalibrating your own ruthlessness to exceed his, or at barest minimum match it. This is the precise shape and nature of the battle before us. Understandable though it is that some of us still desperately seek a way to breathe life into the murdered hope of receiving humane, merciful treatment from inhuman, merciless blackguards, it is still folly—deadly folly.

The positions of the combatants are hardened, the divide clean and clear, the choice as simple as it is stark: there will be liberty, or there will be tyranny. And that, truly is ALL. The conflict between them is not new, unique, or unusual. On the contrary, this conundrum is written throughout the annals of human civilization. Rarely has the conflict been resolved without violent upheaval; never has its resolution been other than temporary.

In our human conceit, each generation presumes itself to be in control of such events. We most certainly are NOT. Properly perceived, they are not events at all but processes, all part of a historical pattern whose inevitability and terrifying immensity places itself far outside the pitiful reach of even the most powerful and perceptive of men, although they usually do play a role in its initiation. But once the process is set into motion, it very quickly swells into just too big a damned thing for mere men to direct, slow, or stop.

To reduce the issue to metaphorical terms, one could imagine not a car jouncing roughly along a rocky and sharply-curving mountain road, but a ship being violently tossed upon a heaving, storm-wracked sea. The latter is a much better fit with our current wildly-careering, unmanageable predicament, for the car is at least nominally under the control of its human driver, whereas the ship’s captain—though able to exert some small influence on his circumstances, however ineffectual—is in truth but a passenger, if not quite a helpless spectator. Whatever comforting lies to the contrary the beleagured captain may tell himself in hopes of soothing his mortal vanity, his destiny ultimately rests in King Neptune’s hands, not in his own.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, fellas, but if y’all sincerely want to try to right this fast-foundering ship, “legal, Constitutional, nonviolent” just ain’t gonna cut it this go ’round. No “demand” you can ever make, regardless of how firm a tone you use, is going to move those Billy correctly identifies as “predatory animals” to just slink away and leave you the hell alone. Harsher, more radical measures are the only thing that will work.

A new “ism”

Same as the old “ism.”

The Goal of Covidism is Communism
Most of us have heard the phrase: “The goal of socialism is communism”. Perhaps, at its core, the statement is a reference to creeping incrementalism, or, stated another way: Give Marxism an inch and it takes a mile.

Just like Covidism: it was given an inch and it took a mile. In only eighteen months America advanced, incrementally, from Flatten the Curve® and lockdowns to mandatory vaccinations: All because of a virus that mostly endangers the elderly and those with serious health concerns.

Don’t be surprised if another false flag were to occur the next few days –  or around September 11, 2021, the twentieth anniversary of 911.

Believe it or not, such an event would further the cause of Covidism. Yes, Covidism.

At the start of the “pandemic”, on April Fool’s Day 2020, I posted an article entitled “In the New Age of Deception, Coronavirus has Hastened the Old Collectivism” whereupon the following observations were made:

The COVID-19 outbreak has proven to be a perfect coup de grace on America, and in ways we’re only beginning to realize. It has caused We the People to turn on each other under the guise of caring for one another.Or, Essentialism, twisted from the words of collectivist revolutionary Karl Marx (1814 – 1883): From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Indeed, Covidism is the New Marxism as the natural rights of Americans have been subsumed by The Collective. Covidism has also decimated the American middle class and small businesses while the billionaire oligarchy, and multinational corporations, have further consolidated power and centralized supply chains around the globe.

Politically, under Covidism, a quiet revolution occurred on November 3, 2020 when a handful of Democrat Party-controlled precincts in a few swing states, altered the outcome of the U.S. presidential election. It marked the beginning of the World Economic Forum’s “Great Reset”. Since then, Covid vaccine mandates have been implemented throughout the U.S. government, military, and Covid-subsidized health systems – as “private” corporations have forced jabs for jobs policies upon employees.

The social architects behind Covid are, in fact, the central party planners of Covidism. Correspondingly, modern transnational corporations have become de facto collectivist entities fused together by big government, financial corruption, and globalism.

Big Government, statism, fascism, Big Business, corporatism, or corrupt and coercive centralization by any other name: when staring down ostracism, harassment, potential unemployment, homelessness, starvation, incarceration, and, ultimately, death…what’s the difference?

Not much that I can see. But ain’t that always the way with these Leftards: the name is always changing, but it remains the same old game.

It’s ON in Oz

Aesop follows up on my OzFasc post, with his characteristic, umm, aplomb.

They have moved from parliamentary democratic republic to full-bore Orwellian Communist dictatorship in about 0.2 seconds. Even Russia and China didn’t fall to communism this fast.

And this response is nominally to a virus, in a country of some 26M souls, which has killed fewer people there total than have died to date from it in just our own District of Criminals hereabouts (1,032 dead in Oz, total). Using COVID as a beard for this draconian over-reach is weak sauce: this is pure unquenched lust for totalitarian control, and nothing else.

Precisely so. Whether or not you bought into the initial Covid Death Plague™ hype; whatever opinion you may hold on The Virus itself, where and how it originated, who’s to blame, etc; even what measures are or are not useful to prevent getting sick or dying from it—there can now be no further disagreement amongst those of us on Team Liberty about at least one aspect of this disastrous mess: Covid has been used as a pretext for the unlawful and wholly intolerable assumption of authority and abuse of power by governments across the Western world. There is simply no credible argument to be made against that proposition anymore, if ever there was. There is no longer any point in trying to make it, and nothing to be achieved by it either. Unless you feel that making a damned fool of yourself in public counts as an “achievement.”

Whatever this was in the early going, it is assuredly NOT about science, public health, safety, &c. It is solely and exclusively about the two things it always sooner or later boils down to: power, and control. That really is all there is to it. So what’s to be done, then? Just this.

Their former government has now forfeited once and for all time, any further claim to legitimacy in anyone’s eyes, anywhere.

Commensurately, any former social contract between the government and the governed there, or any former allies, is irreparably broken.

Any action against that government is therefore entirely within bounds, not least of which for every member of same, from dog catchers to prime minister, and necessarily includes stringing them up by the neck, or putting same up against a wall and summarily executing them, or any lesser included response.

Open season, screw the bag limits.

That means wherever and whenever found, short of open and public renunciation of said government by any former members, and joining active resistance with the people of the Commonwealth of Australia to depose that government forthwith.

When a government flips so completely, and so rapidly, the deep rot was into the very bones of that republic, and moderation in the pursuit of liberty is no longer any virtue.

In short, in and for Oz,

IT’S OFFICIALLY TIME TO START SHOOTING THE BASTARDS IN THE FACE.

That’s about the size of it, yeah. Shooting Bastards In Face O’Clock is drawing nearer by the hour here, too. I can see no other way out of this mess, for Australians or for us. Aesop links to more on this somber subject from Peter at BRM and from Wilder, who isn’t feeling entirely sanguine about the overall situation.

Yup, things can get worse. Truckers wanted to protest the outrageous bans, rules, and mask mandate.

What did they do?

The truckers did it. But if you were an Australian, they tried to make it so you’d never know. The government shut down the traffic cams so you couldn’t see it. They shut down the truckers’ phones. They shut down their social media. They censored, in real-time, a revolt against the rules.

No surprise there; suppression of the truth is one of the most useful items in tyranny’s toolbox. Nonetheless, the striking truckers weren’t just spinning their wheels.

What we can be sure of is that the threat of big blockades on August 31, the brief blockade on the Queensland border on August 30, the huge number of people who protested outside their local councils on August 31 and the stated aim of doing so in support of striking truckies, has resulted (in) a tangible victory for Australians.

The South Australian government has backed down on mandating the jab for interstate truckies because truckies threatened to strike and people got out in the street to protest.

This tells us that governments are wary of growing public anger and will back down if threatened with serious economic and political consequences.

Yesterday’s protests have taken a serious toll on people. There were mass arrests, mass fines, and completely unnecessary police brutality against people who were simply standing still in silence.

A victory it was, albeit only a partial one, and nowhere enough to turn any tides or reverse any directions…YET. The crucial thing, the vital thing, is to not let up by declaring the war won after only the first successful engagement. Aussie’s truckers can be proud for having forced the SA goobermint to blink, and that’s definitely a win—for Aussie truckers. That’s a good thing, but it’s nowhere near enough. They must not let up; pressure absolutely must be maintained, until it’s a win for everybody.

The thing to remember about partial victories is: the more partial the victory, the more quickly your opponent will push himself back up off the mat, shake off the brain-fog to reorient himself, and start pummeling you about the head and shoulders all over again. The obstreperous palooka has to be put DOWN—flat on his back, until he’s been counted out and his corner crew carries him off to the locker room—before you should start calling the fight truly won.

The Aussie truckers strike was a good start, no doubt, with a fairly encouraging outcome. Hopefully, the truckers are savvy enough not to let their despotic government goons lull them back into complacency and lassitude with this narrow, selective, and easily reversible back-down.

There IS a real solution to this problem. It emphatically does NOT involve allowing a single one of the treacherous, arrogant, greedy, corrupt bastards to retain a position of ANY kind in government—NOT. ONE. As Aesop correctly said, a government that commits such heinous crimes against its own people has forfeited all claim to legitimacy, fealty, or the allegiance of its people—FOR ALL TIME. They cannot be allowed to skate with a blase “oops, sorry, my bad, didn’t mean it” and then allowed a second crack at installing and securing their tyranny. The reprobates controlling and running said government must be removed root, branch, and bough. Nothing short of a thorough fumigation of the House of Government will suffice to exterminate the pestilential infestation responsible for all the damage done. Only a clean sweep can possibly restore the faith and confidence of its people in their government and those who work for it.

I dunno, maybe we could call that “draining the Swamp,” something along those lines? Or has that nomenclature already been taken?

There’s yet another angle to the trucker’s strike story, by the way, which I will cover anon. I think you’ll like it; I definitely did.

The Social Contract construct

Brandon Smith gets down to the fundamentals.

There is a fundamental question that needs to be asked when examining the vaccine passport issue, and what I find is that almost no one in the mainstream is tackling it directly. The question is this:

Is it legally and morally acceptable to constrict the rights and economic access of people in order to force them to submit to an experimental “vaccine”, or any other medical procedure for that matter?

Furthermore, who gets to decide what medical procedures are acceptable to enforce? Who gets to be the all powerful and benevolent overseer of every human being’s health path. I ask this because I don’t think many people realize the future repercussions of allowing governments or corporations (the same thing these days) to dictate covid vaccinations. It doesn’t stop there; in fact, we have no idea where this stops once the Pandora’s box is opened.

No need to mull that one over much, if it all: it will NEVER stop. This is just the nature of life under totalitarian tyranny. For the Ruling Class, there will always and forever be yet another battle to fight; yet another restriction to instate and enforce; yet another unruly mind to be brought to heel and enslaved. Understand those things and everything suddenly makes sense. Fail to grasp that this really is who and what we now confront—that, contra Sinclair Lewis, it COULD happen here, and in fact it has, right before our eyes—and you will be mown down like so much unresisting grass.

For example, the primary argument of the covid cult and the establishment in favor of vaccine passports is the “social contract” fantasy. They claim that because we “live in a society”, everything we do affects everyone else in some way, and because we are all interconnected in our “collective” we are thus beholden to the collective. In other words, the collective has the “right” to micro-manage the life of the individual because if the individual is allowed to make his/her own decisions they might potentially cause harm to the whole group.

In case you are not familiar with this philosophy it is an extension of socialism and cultural Marxism, and it stands at the very core of vaccine passport propaganda. I have actually had public debates with pro-socialist people in the past who have tried to defend the merits of socialism and every single time the argument comes down to one singular disconnect – I say that if a group of people want to go off and start their own little socialist community they have every right to…as long as it is VOLUNTARY. Then if it fails and collapses it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t affect me or anyone else who did not want to participate.

The problem is that these Socialists/communists/Marxists/collectivists simply do not grasp the notion of voluntarism.

No, they understand it well enough. The problem, actually, is that—as with the overarching notion of individualism itself—they’re unalterably, fanatically opposed to it. For them, those ideas are the Main Enemy, and they fully and firmly intend to vanquish this hated foe for all time.

They believe that people need to be forced into doing the right thing or helping others, and they are the people that get to decide what the right thing is and who gets the help. They are the people that get to decide what freedoms are acceptable and what freedoms are inconvenient to their agenda. When they say “We live in a society…”, what they really mean is “You live in OUR society, and WE will determine what is best for you.”

In terms of vaccine passports, the collectivist social contract is a key element. They claim that being unvaxxed is not a personal freedom because the unvaxxed are a risk to the lives of everyone else. The social contract is therefore violated because by making a personal life choice you are endangering the rights of others.

Quite a convenient little misdirection, that, since they acknowledge NO individual rights whatsoever, for anyone but themselves. You have only those rights they bestow on you, not a jot or tittle beyond. And even those meager few can be suspended or revoked at any time, for any reason, at the behest of their most trivial whim. For your own good, of course.

Mainstream propaganda asserts that the unvaxxed will somehow become petri dishes for new mutations that will harm vaccinated people. There is no evidence to support this claim. In fact, there is more evidence that suggests it is vaccinated people that will trigger mutations and variants. The media says that this is not cause for any concern, but if it’s not then neither should we be concerned about mutations that gestate in the unvaxxed population, if there are any.

The fact of the matter is that more and more scientific evidence is proving that the experimental vaccines are NOT effective and that the unvaxxed are actually safer from covid regardless of the variant or mutation.

This begs the question: Why take the mRNA cocktail at all? What is there to gain? Well, there is nothing to gain in terms of health safety. Even if you happen to be part of the 0.26% of people at risk from covid, you are better off in the long run taking your chances with natural immunity than getting the jab.

The answer to the question is not about health, but about denial of access. Government’s and their corporate partners are trying to make it so you MUST take the vaccine in order to participate in normal social activities, or even to keep a job. Not only that, but the process goes on forever because every year there will be new variants and new booster shots. The only reason to take the vaccine is to keep at least a handful of your freedoms and to avoid poverty and starvation.

The frenetic full-court press to get this mystery chemical concoction into every arm is more than sufficient reason to uncompromosingly resist—especially in light of the campaign of dishonesty, ever-escalating panic-pimping, and manipulation we’ve already been subjected to. What sensible, informed person could possibly justify trusting them now, after all that transparently suspicious behavior?

I really enjoyed this next blast:

In terms of government, the covid cult will claim that there are Supreme Court precedents for legal enforcement of vaccinations. Honestly, I don’t care, and neither do millions of other Americans. A bunch of high priests in robes do not get to dictate my independent health decisions; I make those decisions and there’s nothing that they can do about it.

Absotively, posilutely bingo, Brandon. Hear me well, Leftards, and understand: My God-given right to self-determination is NOT up for debate or discussion—full stop, end of story. Neither is that or any other of my natural rights subject in any way to:

  • The judgment of a corrupted and inconsistent Supreme Court, or any other court, at any level
  • The unlawful edicts of Constitutionally-illegitimate government, at any level
  • The megalomaniacal fancy of faceless, unaccountable bureaucrats deeply embedded at EVERY level
  • The unqualified interpretation of law enforcement officers, at any level
  • The desires of overly-ambitious, double-dealing medical personnel; scientific research institutions; and/or pharmaceutical companies, in particular any of those reliant on Federal funding for much of their income

And that’s flat. The thrilling conclusion:

This is where we have to come to terms with the morals and principles involved – The lives of others are in no way affected by my decision to refuse to comply with vaccine passports. And just because a group of people have irrational fears about the threat of covid does not mean people with more discernment about the facts should be required to make them “feel better” or feel safer.

The bottom line is this: Our freedoms are more important than your paranoid fears, and we will not comply. We do not subscribe to your false social contract, and you are in no position to dictate the terms of our “society”. Don’t like it? You are more than welcome to leave the country and start a vaccinated Utopia somewhere else. We’ll see how that works out for you in the long run.

Bingo again, although the chance of them just going away to build their unattainable dream-world elsewhere and tend to their own knitting thenceforth isn’t just slim, it’s nonexistent. We’ll have to take a very different tack if we ever hope to get them off our backs and rid ourselves of them, and all the misery and woe they create, for good.

That said, this I vow: ANY attempt to abrogate rights which I deem to be unalienably mineI deem, myself, without reference to unsolicited opinion or input from others—I shall resist to the final ebb of my strength and will, using any and all methods, devices, and stratagems I can obtain or conceive. You have shown yourselves to be relentless and single-minded in your quest to subjugate me. You have evinced NO REGARD WHATEVER for my preference, my willing consent, my freedom, or my very life. In return, you can expect no less and no more than the exact same treatment from me.

I WILL NEVER comply. I WILL NEVER surrender. I WILL NEVER go down without a fight, as fierce a one as I can make. I WILL NEVER foreswear any conceivable measure as too brutal or inhumane to be used against you. Nor shall I limit myself strictly to defensive actions alone; I consider absolutely everything to be on the table and in play—EVERYTHING.

Should you be foolish or arrogant enough to attempt to coerce me further, you damned well better bring help, no matter who you are or what authority you claim to wield. Because I WILL do my level best to do you bodily injury, as much and as grievous as I can inflict, in order to end the threat to my liberty and well-being you represent.

From this day forward, my approach will be that the two opposing sides are in a state of war—war to the knife. As in any war, the more genteel standards defining things like fair play, gentlemanly conduct, and unacceptable barbarism are officially out the window, passing into irrelevance. This is a war our side never had any desire to enter into. We have done you no injury, and prefer to simply be left alone, to live and let live. But these things you will never do. So we have all been dragged into an unwanted and unnecessary conflict all unwilling, due to the tyrannical machinations of an enemy which in every sense resembles a pack of snarling, snapping jackals cooperating to bring down a bull.

They will soon learn, to their eternal regret, that the bull they’ve unwisely chosen to attack is not old, sick, or lame. This bull is strong; his horns are sharp, and quite dangerous.

Radical transformation

From one of the most open, rowdy, and proudly untameable nations in all of Western Civ, to…this nightmarish obscenity?

Up to now one of Earth’s freest societies, Australia has become a hermit continent. How long can a country maintain emergency restrictions on its citizens’ lives while still calling itself a liberal democracy?

Australia has been testing the limits.

Before 2020, the idea of Australia all but forbidding its citizens from leaving the country, a restriction associated with Communist regimes, was unthinkable. Today, it is a widely accepted policy. “Australia’s borders are currently closed and international travel from Australia remains strictly controlled to help prevent the spread of COVID-19,” a government website declares. “International travel from Australia is only available if you are exempt or you have been granted an individual exemption.” The rule is enforced despite assurances on another government website, dedicated to setting forth Australia’s human-rights-treaty obligations, that the freedom to leave a country “cannot be made dependent on establishing a purpose or reason for leaving.”

The nation’s high court struck down a challenge to the country’s COVID-19 restrictions. “It may be accepted that the travel restrictions are harsh. It may also be accepted that they intrude upon individual rights,” it ruled. “But Parliament was aware of that.” Until last month, Australians who are residents of foreign countries were exempt from the rule so they could return to their residence. But the government tightened the restrictions further, trapping many of them in the country too.

All deeply dismaying, even if you aren’t an Ocker. But no matter where you reside, if you love freedom even slightly this next ought to scare the living bejeesus out of you.

Intrastate travel within Australia is also severely restricted. And the government of South Australia, one of the country’s six states, developed and is now testing an app as Orwellian as any in the free world to enforce its quarantine rules. People in South Australia will be forced to download an app that combines facial recognition and geolocation. The state will text them at random times, and thereafter they will have 15 minutes to take a picture of their face in the location where they are supposed to be. Should they fail, the local police department will be sent to follow up in person. “We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes,” Premier Steven Marshall explained. “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.”

Ye gods and little fishes. That buries the needle on the Creepy-O-Meter dial, violently enough to shatter the glass cover. Proud? Thou fool. No South Australian has any right to feel proud ever again, unless and until they’ve seen to it that you and your malignant compatriots have all been hanged.

Other states also curtailed their citizens’ liberty in the name of safety. The state of Victoria announced a curfew and suspended its Parliament for key parts of the pandemic. “To put this in context, federal and state parliaments sat during both world wars and the Spanish Flu, and curfews have never been imposed,” the scholar John Lee observed in an article for the Brookings Institution. “In responding to a question about whether he had gone too far with respect to imposing a curfew (avoiding the question of why a curfew was needed when no other state had one), Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews replied: ‘it is not about human rights. It is about human life.’”

In New South Wales, Police Minister David Elliott defended the deployment of the Australian military to enforce lockdowns, telling the BBC that some residents of the state thought “the rules didn’t apply to them.” In Sydney, where more than 5 million people have been in lockdown for more than two months, and Melbourne, the country’s second-biggest city, anti-lockdown protests were banned, and when dissenters gathered anyway, hundreds were arrested and fined, Reuters reported.

Australia is undoubtedly a democracy, with multiple political parties, regular elections, and the peaceful transfer of power. But if a country indefinitely forbids its own citizens from leaving its borders, strands tens of thousands of its citizens abroad, puts strict rules on intrastate travel, prohibits citizens from leaving home without an excuse from an official government list, mandates masks even when people are outdoors and socially distanced, deploys the military to enforce those rules, bans protest, and arrests and fines dissenters, is that country still a liberal democracy?

Oh hell no. What that country is is a bare-knuckle, full-on dictatorship, using the trappings of liberal democracy as flimsy cover to conceal the monstrous face of tyranny and oppression.

To give Australia’s approach its due, temporary restrictions on liberty were far more defensible early in the pandemic, when many countries locked down and scientists understood little about COVID-19’s attributes or trajectory. Australian leaders hoped to “flatten the curve” of infection in an effort to prevent overcrowded hospitals and degraded care, and the higher death rates that would follow. The country was also betting that, within a time period short enough that restrictions could be sustained, scientists would develop a vaccine that protected against morbidity and mortality.

As it turned out, the bet paid off. Had it behaved rationally and adequately valued liberty, a rich nation like Australia would have spent lavishly—before knowing which vaccines would turn out to be most effective—to secure an adequate supply of many options for its people. It could afford to eat the cost of any extra doses and donate them to poorer countries. Australia then could have marshaled its military and civil society to vaccinate the nation as quickly as possible, lifted restrictions more fully than Europe and the United States did, and argued that the combination of fewer deaths and the more rapid return to normalcy made their approach a net win.

Beside the point and entirely irrelevant, every bit of it. The crucial point being the same one I’ve been adamant about from the earliest days of the Covid ploy: Freedom lost, or abandoned, cannot be regained without violence. Anyone who surrenders even the most seemingly insignificant or trivial scrap of his freedom must do so in the full realization that it is now forever lost to him. You never, EVER allow the government—any government, EVERY government—to take your freedom without a fight. Not for any reason, rationalization, or emergency. Period.

Bad as the above article is, dismaying and terrifying as it is, it’s still not the worst of it. This is:

What the hell is happening Down Under? “Totalitarianism,” says Tucker Carlson. “Australia has lost its collective mind,” according to Ben Shapiro. “If we invade Australia we will be greeted as liberators,” argues Jack Posobiec. Has Covid-19 really turned one of the world’s oldest democracies into a dystopian health dictatorship? As my Polish grandmother used to say, things are rarely as good or as bad as they appear.

To those half-jokingly tweeting about invading and liberating Australia, I have some bad news: Australia does not want to be liberated. Strong majorities support the harsh measures. Several state elections over this time have seen incumbents comfortably reelected on platforms of acting tough against Covid, amid messaging that those advocating a lighter touch want to kill your grandma. In Victoria, where the left-wing Labor government has been by far the harshest and most trigger-happy—Melbourne has been under “hard” lockdown for more than 200 days so far—polling suggests only a small dip in support, not nearly enough to unseat the administration. The consensus can be distilled into the following: Look at the rest of the world! Our government has kept us safe so far. We can’t allow what has happened in the United States or Europe to happen here.

American readers might be surprised at such a supine public attitude in the face of some of the hardest and longest-lasting Covid restrictions in the developed world. To the extent that Americans think of Australia, they might think of a staunch ally in wartime, or perhaps a relaxed but tough and rough-around-the-edges country that has produced Crocodile Dundee and a long procession of Hollywood’s leading action men. All that might be accurate, but the truth is that Australia simply does not (and never did) possess as strong a libertarian streak as America. For all the jokes about theirs being a “nation of convicts,” Australians have always been far more statist and beholden to authority than Americans.

How long can this last? If it was up to the drunk-on-power politicians and bureaucrats who have found a winning electoral formula, health experts who have found relevance, and the deathly scared who have found a sense of safety (and, for some at least, the frisson of being a part of something big and important), the answer is “forever.” Which is why the federal government—belatedly trying to orchestrate a return to some normalcy once certain vaccination levels are reached—finds its efforts contradicted by state governments and health experts arguing that the vaccination target actually needs to be (the unreachable and unrealistic) 90 percent or 95 percent, that lockdowns should continue even with a highly vaccinated population, and that international borders should stay closed indefinitely. That this is not great marketing—get vaccinated, but you still won’t be able to do anything!—needs no genius to recognize. Sadly, little evidence has materialized of any major shift in public sentiment. The powers that be still find it easy to taint the opposition to their “zero Covid” policies as callous, anti-science, anti-vax, right-wing extremists.

Crikey. It appears that poor Crocodile Dundee is well and truly dead—struck down in his prime not by the Dread Chinkenpox but by the hysterical, cowardly response to it from his easily-herded countrymen. From the looks of it, he never even existed in the first place. May the docile Australian people have joy of their horrifying choices. And may my own countrymen pay careful heed to the lesson the Land Down Under’s willful suicide offers us, before it’s too late to avoid succumbing to the same disgraceful fate ourselves.

Additions to The List

Y’all know which list that would be, right?

[SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Aug. 31, 2021] Project Veritas released shocking new video today of California AP Government teacher, Gabriel Gipe, boasting about politically indoctrinating his students at Inderkum High School.

Gipe said that his intention is to radicalize students into supporting Marxist ideas by using the public school system as an avenue to incentivize them to participate in fringe extracurricular events.

“I have 180 days to turn them [students] into revolutionaries…Scare the f*ck out of them,” Gipe said.

Right away, I can think of one other person who badly needs to have the fuck scared out of him. At least one.

Gipe said he keeps track of his students’ political inclinations. He is also perplexed when a student expresses discomfort with the decorations in his public-school classroom.

“So, they take an ideology quiz and I put [the results] on the [classroom] wall. Every year, they get further and further left…I’m like, ‘These ideologies are considered extreme, right? Extreme times breed extreme ideologies.’ Right? There is a reason why Generation Z, these kids, are becoming further and further left,” he said.

“I have an Antifa flag on my [classroom] wall and a student complained about that — he said it made him feel uncomfortable. Well, this [Antifa flag] is meant to make fascists feel uncomfortable, so if you feel uncomfortable, I don’t really know what to tell you. Maybe you shouldn’t be aligning with the values that this [Antifa flag] is antithetical to.”

Those “values” would be Communism, Red in tooth and claw, for anyone out there who might not have known.

The public-school teacher went on to suggest that a viable solution for society’s problems is a violent overthrow of the U.S. Government.

“Like, why aren’t people just taking up arms? Like why can’t we, you know — take up arms against the state? We have historical examples of that happening, and them getting crushed and being martyrs for a cause and it’s like — okay well, it’s slow going because it takes a massive amount of organization,” Gipe said.

I wholeheartedly assure you, filthwad, that there will indeed be some serious taking up of arms very soon now. Said arms will NOT be pointed in the direction you seem to anticipate, and you will NOT enjoy your experience of it, which will be extremely brief.

“What can we do now to root out this culture that keeps perpetuating hyper-individualism, hyper-competitiveness, capitalist exploitation and consolidation of wealth…I do think that it’s important to understand that as an extension of an economic revolution, they [Chinese Communist Party] were changing the base, and then they went to change the superstructure. You cannot change one without the other. You can’t have cultural shifts without the economic shift, and vice versa,” he said.

Gipe admitted that he is not the only one in Inderkum High School’s faculty to hold these fringe beliefs.

“There are three other teachers in my department that I did my credential program with — and they’re rad. They’re great people. They’re definitely on the same page.”

Undoubtedly so. Might want to spread the word among those “great people” regarding what I said immediately above, at your earliest convenience. Won’t prevent you all from getting what’s coming to you, but maybe if you make the whole process more convenient for us by gathering together in one spot, things can be worked out so that it’ll be head-shots rather than starting at the ankles and working our way up from there. Slowly, as I young feller of my acquaintance recently suggested.

The repulsive, infuriating story excerpted above, repeated all across the formerly-fruited plain, is precisely how and why we are where we are today. As so many of us have repeatedly insisted: the only way to fix this is by removing all such insidious influences—bodily, permanently, by any means needed—from the schools, then remaking the entire “education” system top to bottom. Nothing short of that will suffice. And even then it will only solve the problem temporarily. Which, see, is where Jefferson’s admonition to “eternal vigilance” comes in.

Want your stolen liberty back? Want your children educated, not indoctrinated? Want FederalGovCo put back into its Constitutionally-correct box? Want to live your life according to the choices YOU make, without government meddling or mandate? You know what you must do, Glasshoppa: Find something Communist, and kill it. Lather, rinse, repeat, until the nation has been freed of the worst of the loathsome breed, and the remaining few are too terrified to open their yaps in advocacy for Marxism ever again. That’s the long and the short of it.

No half-measures

Get hot or go home.

How can benefits flow from coercion and the wholesale violation of individual rights? What gives a small minority the right to coerce and subjugate the rest? Why is the burden of proof always on those who oppose coercion and defend individual rights? Why are those who arrogate to themselves the power to rule by violence never called to account for their many and massive failures, even as the world they’ve created slides into an abyss from which it may never emerge? Why, if people are supposedly unfit for freedom and running their own lives, are some people fit to run everyone else’s lives? Why are words and phrases like “lockdown,” “masking,” “mandatory vaccines,” and “vaccine passports” not treated as the obscenities they are, while words and phrases like “freedom,” “liberty,” “individual rights,” “individual autonomy,” and “personal sovereignty” are freakish, beyond-the-pale concepts that cannot be mentioned among those who consider themselves polite society?

“Screw polite society” is a phrase that should have been uttered long ago, and which has to be uttered now. If someone claims the right to lock you down, close your business, destroy your job, make you wear an ineffective mask, decree your life’s activities contingent on proof you’ve been injected with an ineffective and dangerous vaccine whose makers cannot be sued, and prevents you from questioning or protesting this tyranny; if someone claims the right to force you to accept as legal tender a piece of paper or computer entry whose value is entirely dependent on the value of promises not to create too many of them from thieves who never keep their promises; if someone claims the right to invade countries which pose no threat, and to pay for it with your taxes, your credit, and the lives of you, your fellow citizens, and the invaded; if someone claims the right to impose regulations, laws, and decrees that destroy your ability to act in your own best interest, render you guilty until you prove yourself innocent, extort your compliance at the price of your job, business, or freedom, and only benefit—through extortion, bribery, and the peddling of influence and favors—those who promulgate and enforce them; if someone claims the right to the products of your mind, work, imagination, and integrity to promote the “equality” of those who offer nothing but their screeching “needs”; then their claims versus your resistance are not polite differences of opinion. They are matters of life and death.

Consider these people who want absolute power over you. They’re several layers removed from the realities that confront the rest of us. Many of them have never put in an honest day’s work—where someone willingly pays them because the value of what they produce is greater than what they’re paid—never met a payroll, never had to stretch $5.16 until the end of next week. From their sinecures they prattle and preach, lobby and legislate, censor and suppress, tax and tyrannize, revolving satellites in a firmament centered on government and its power. The revere their credentialed aristocracy and drip contempt for those not in it. Publicly they don’t hide their condescension, privately they stifle any doubts that it’s not merited. If they take any notice of the outsiders’ resentment, they attribute it to jealously and mentally move on.

A great reordering is coming. It won’t be imposed by behemoth institutions, it will organically evolve from individuals, families, and small communities of interest. The behemoths are centralized, bureaucratic, parasitic, and corrupt dinosaurs. They won’t survive the decentralized chaos they’re unknowingly fomenting. There is no ecological role for the Potomac brontosaurus or any other mega-government. They and the gargantuan states over which they preside and plunder have outlived whatever usefulness they may have once had. Nature ruthlessly winnows the useless. The behemoths will be winnowed.

Survival requires adaptation and adaptive order can emerge from chaos. Historically, order has been imposed in a myriad of violent variants, superficially different political philosophies but at root all the same. The coming chaos will present an opportunity for organic order to emerge, based on freedom, individual rights, and voluntary interaction and exchange. It’s order for those who seek neither to control nor be controlled, a philosophical and psychological evolution many will never attain. Those that do will find a patch of territory and stake their claim to freedom, defend it, and flourish. It may not be large, but an acre of freedom is better than a continent of tyranny.

What’s required are the people who are unafraid to claim their individual rights, every single one of them, and will go all the way to secure them. It will be no victory to “win” some slight rollback in tyranny—fewer Covid mandates, lower taxes, a tapering of fiat debt monetization, military withdrawal from an occupied nation, etc. Rollbacks are a fool’s errand, later rerolled forward. Nothing short of total victory—the elimination of tyranny—will do.

If you reflexively cringe when someone calls you selfish for claiming what’s yours, if you’re unwilling to defend your life and rights, so be it, assuredly they will be taken from you. If you want to be free from tyranny, if you want to peaceably live your life as you see fit, if you want to go all the way and create something entirely new, and if you’re willing to work and fight for it, that can be your and your posterity’s future.

Robert Gore has produced a mighty fine work here, and no mistake. Aesop calls it “the best essay I’ve read all year,” and I for one ain’t gonna argue with the man. I will say this much: if we wait until we get to where Australia is to act, then we probably just shouldn’t bother at all, because we’ve already lost.

On Saturday afternoon, a father walking with his daughter in the Garrison Point Reserve in George’s Hall, Australia, was handcuffed by local police after he was found unmasked in Sydney’s coronavirus-hit western suburbs.

Footage of the incident, obtained by the Daily Mail, shows the man sitting with his hands behind his back, as his daughter wanders nearby.

“Come on guys, be fair, a little bit,” said the man who was filming. “He’s got a daughter here. She is by herself. Look, the little girl is scared, man.”

The officers told the man filming that the father had “committed an offense.”

“He hasn’t committed an offense – I walked past and saw everything,” the man filming said to the law enforcement officers. The father then told police that he would not speak to them until his daughter was by his side.

The officer has the young daughter return to her father, who then sits in his lap as he is sitting with handcuffs on his wrists.

The father told police that he was dropping his daughter off with his sister then going for a run, during which he would not have to wear a mask.

Absolutely unbelievable. Anybody still wish-hoping that Real Americans can count on the Blue we used to Back to be with us when Gore’s Great Reordering begins for real is hereby strongly advised to think again. I mean, STRONGLY.

Totalitarianism is NOW

It’s no longer coming; it’s here.

I say that’s the direction we’re going because everybody seems to have a slightly different definition of what totalitarianism encompasses and very few people would say that we are actually living in a totalitarian society right now.

After all, this is “the land of the free.” This is “the freest country on earth.” Totalitarian? Hey, we fought those guys — and we won!

But the truth is we are actually living in a totalitarian society right now. And we’d better recognize that so we can deal with reality.

Is it as fully developed as Nazi Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, or North Korea’s socialist paradise? Of course not. But do you have to wait for the day-long bread lines or the boxcars full of doomed Deplorables to recognize the nature of a thing? Most people probably will wait — until it’s too late. But Western society — led by the Five Eyes countries of the U.S., Canada, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, and trailed faithfully by most of Europe — has already gone totalitarian with dizzying speed.

Totalitarianism is not “down the road.” It’s not merely in politicians’ dreams. It’s not merely something one administration wants that can be undone by v*ting in a different bunch of liars, thieves, con artists, and slave-masters. It’s not merely a temporary condition that will be lifted once the current crisis (whichever current crisis is being used as the excuse) has abated. It’s here. It’s the new nature of our society and the everyday practice of our ruling class.

Tons and tons more I could excerpt, but I’ll just say it’s the esteemed, estimable, and in fact gifted Claire Wolf’s latest two-part opus, so I trust you’ll all click on over to read the whole thing. There is one more thing I just have to excerpt, however. Claire helpfully provides a quite copious list of what she defines as “bullet points for totalitarianism,” by way of laying out the warning signs. She opens with these, then continues on from there:

  • Strong central rule by a single interconnected cadre or class
  • An elite corps of managerial “experts” attemping to shape society
  • Extensive surveillance networks, both directly run by government and consisting of volunteers eager to report on neighbors, family members, co-workers, and strangers
  • An obsession with keeping the elite’s own secrets while taking away everyone else’s privacy
  • Sweeping away of legal, social, religious, and political traditions
  • Iron control over the economy; government either owns the major means of production is in clubby collaboration with those who do
  • Control over the means of communication; constant barrage of propaganda
  • Censorship of any dissenting views, even when such views are based on facts
  • Increasing misery for the people it claims to represent
  • Police using arbitrary violence and terror as a control tactic
  • The law is whatever those in charge say it is
  • Tragically laughable elections (if any) with unashamedly absurd outcomes
  • All dissent is branded evil and harshly punished

Sound familiar? Because anyone of even modest intellectual means would have to find these confirmations of our current status absolutely marrow-freezing, seems to me.

I swear, I’m flattered and honored damned near speechless at this humble l’il websty’s inclusion on her blogroll page. No idea how that might’ve happened, but my grateful thanks to you for it, Claire.

A tale of two rockers

Compare, contrast.

Rock Legend Eric Clapton Says ‘This Has Gotta Stop’ In Anti-COVID Restrictions Anthem
Earlier this year, famed singer/songwriter/guitarist Eric Clapton spoke publicly about his negative experience with the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, which he called “disastrous.”

“I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days, I recovered eventually and was told it would be twelve weeks before the second one,” Clapton said.

“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers,” he continued. “Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again.”

Clapton has now released a new song, “This Has Gotta Stop,” which is believed to be a vaccine protest song, though it seems to cover various themes related to COVID restrictions.

“This has gotta stop, enough is enough,” the song begins. “I can’t take this BS any longer.”

The legendary guitarist also references the impact COVID restrictions will have on children, and what the future holds for them. “Thinkin’ of my kids / What’s left for them / And then what’s coming down the road.”

But perhaps the most powerful verse is this: “Magna Carta, Bill of Rights / The constitution, what’s it worth? / You know they’re gonna grind us down, ah / Until it really hurts / Is this a sovereign nation / Or just a police state? / You better look out, people / Before it gets too late.”

There’s a vid of the new tune at the link, if you’re interested. I have to admit that I ain’t, much; Clapton is fine with me, and I do like some of his early stuff well enough, but he’s just never really set me on fire, let’s say. Give the man this, though: he’s one Englishter that understands freedom and the US Constitution one hell of a lot better than this decrepit old shitlib ever will.

Superannuated hyper-woke musician Neil Young, who is estimated to have a fortune of about 200 million dollars, is angry with musicians and promoters who are trying to make a living. Old Neil, who is legendary for jumping on every Leftist bandwagon that happens by, is terrified of the spread of Covid, and he is leading by example. In a statement published on his Neil Young Archives website Monday, Neil wrote: “Recently I pulled out of Farm Aid for fear that unprotected children may become infected with Covid by folks who went to the show, caught the virus, had no symptoms and returned home to hug their kids or someone else’s kids.” Yeah, can’t have normal human interaction. Can’t have music. All right. But not all of us have $200 million to get us by.

The virus that has Neil Young wanting to ban hugs and shut down the world has a 99% survival rate for most age groups, although it falls to 92% for the age group of most of the people who would want to attend a Neil Young concert in the first place. But Neil Young is terrified, and has found the root cause of the fact that far too many people are actually living their lives instead of cowering with fear in their living rooms, watching reruns of Friends, and ordering from UberEats. “I felt that we didn’t know what we were up against and we were endangering others, unprotected innocent children in particular,” he claims. “I know of tours that are out there and have to stop where they are and isolate in motels because one person among them tested positive. I ask myself, why are they out there?”

The answer chafes at the old multimillionaire’s socialist heart: “Money and business. These two need each other. This has been the American way for years and years. Now it has turned on the country in a new way.”

Of course. Some people are out there trying to make a living. Why don’t they just sit back and live on their royalties for a while, like selfless Neil?

This is a guy who once made an album called Freedom, but that was a long time ago. Now he sees people being altogether too free: “Folks see concerts advertised and think it must be OK to go and mingle. It’s not. These are super-spreader events, irresponsible Freedom Fests. We need Freedom to be safe. Not a bad example.”

Yes, Neil, way too much irresponsible exercise of freedom out there.

“We need Freedom to be safe”? You dolt, freedom has little, if anything, to do with safe. I won’t go so far as to say that the two are incompatible or contradictory, quite. But the acceptance of risk is embedded in the very idea of freedom; certainly, no people has ever won through to claim their freedom without taking serious risks to do so. Ol’ Neil Dung can shuffle on back to the old folk’s home, spark up a fat doob, and annoy his fellow geezers with stoned reminiscences of his long-past glory days from now on for all me. I’m with Ronnie: this Southern Man don’t need him around, anyhow.

First admission, more to come

Screw it all, I’m just gonna say it: I told ya so. Right from the start, I did.

Your move, Aussies. The whole world’s watching.

Coming soon, to an Occupied nation very near you.

Future, imperfect

Wherein David Solway gets his verb tenses wrong pretty much throughout.

Can America Survive the Biden Administration?

“Can”? It’s all too clear that it didn’t. Although it also must be said that it had been killed off long before Gropey’s anointment to the (ahem) “Presidency.”

The question that many Americans are now asking themselves is whether the United States can survive another three and a half years of a Democrat administration. Under its stewardship, a short period of merely a few months has seen the country sink into a morass of increasing social dissension, mounting debt, growing unemployment, the dismantling of central industries, gross mismanagement across the board, military embarrassment, policy failure, and international humiliation.

The nation is ruled by a president who seems to be in the terminal stages of galloping dementia. His potential replacement resembles a cackling witch with the intelligence of a feral child. The Senate majority leader is by all reasonable accounts a candidate for intensive psychotherapy. What unites these three presumptive authorities is a triple condition consisting of (a) contempt for the country they were elected or appointed to serve; (b) an intelligence quotient at the low end of the bell curve; and (c) an insatiable lust for the spoils of financial jobbery and unmitigated power.

One thinks of the three-headed (or rather, triple-faced) Satan immured in the fourth ring of the ninth circle of Dante’s Inferno.

One sure as hell does, at that.

I am convinced if events continue as they do at present, the nation that prepares for the 2024 election will be unrecognizable.

Show me a Real American foolish enough to still be “preparing” for the 2024 “election” to be anything more honest than the 2020 shitshow was—or who still even has any interest in it at all, except as pure entertainment—and I’ll show you a fella who deserves what he’s gonna get.

The fiasco that is Afghanistan will have been the least of its problems—merely a symptom of what was to come. Taiwan, a dependable ally, will be lost to the monstrous appetites of a rogue regime, aka Communist China. Russia will have exerted pipeline domination over Germany and middle Europe. The Baltic states will be threatened by re-incorporation into the new incarnation of the “Evil Empire” they managed briefly to escape. Radical Islam will have been gifted with a new lease on life. The Western alliance will have disintegrated. The world’s economy will be tottering. And America itself will have been catastrophically weakened by a Woke military, rampant inflation, massive corruption, a millennial surge in illegal immigration, energy dependence, artificially fomented racial tensions, electoral malfeasance, oligarchic censorship, and runaway flashpoints of internal conflict. On any rational estimate, this is what the future may plausibly look like. The present is an alarmingly close facsimile.

Again: “may”? Tense, David, tense.

The inflexion point was the last “irregular” election, although the debacle has a long prehistory. There is such a thing as historical momentum. When a nation decides to die, there is precious little that can prevent it. Arnold Toynbee wisely said that civilizations die by suicide, not murder. The same prescription applies to nations.

And on that depressing note, Wayne Allen Root has a few things to add.

Call this suicide by Democrat.

We have suicide bombers in the White House. We have suicide bombers in our governor’s mansions. Worst of all, we have suicide bombers directing the U.S. economy.

This is the Titanic. This is the Hindenburg. We are headed for disaster.

New York City now demands vaccine passports to go into any restaurant, bar, nightclub, gym — even retail store. Los Angeles followed suit. So did San Francisco and New Orleans. How many more will follow?

Las Vegas, my home, the entertainment capital of the world, isn’t far behind. You now need proof of vaccination to enter concerts, conventions, even Allegiant Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Will restaurants, gyms and retail stores be far behind?

This is madness. This is economic suicide. Either Democrats are ignorant morons, or this is the final Democrat plan to destroy capitalism by putting every business owner out of business. After all, this is what socialists, Marxists, communists and globalist America-haters have been waiting their whole lives for.

Another fine opportunity to embrace the healing power of “and.”

Let me explain what’s about to happen. About 50% of America hasn’t taken the vaccine. That’s no coincidence. Somewhere between 40% and 50% of America is never taking the vaccine. No matter what you say or do, the answer is still NO. We will not comply.

So, think about what this all means. If government is dumb enough to demand vaccine passports, that means 40% to 50% of us won’t eat at restaurants, or go to bars and nightclubs, or concerts, or conventions, or sports events. We won’t buy anything at your retail stores anymore.

Which means everyone is out of business. No business in America can take a 20% loss of sales, let alone 30%, or 40%, or 50%. They’re all out of business. Which means tens of millions of Americans will lose their jobs. Total economic collapse will soon follow.
Think about New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New Orleans. No more conservative tourists. That’s half the tourists in your city or state — gone.

No more tourists from Texas or Florida, places with millions of unvaccinated citizens, where vaccine mandates are forbidden by law. Just those two states together have 50 million citizens. That’s millions of potential tourists never again coming to NYC, LA, San Francisco or New Orleans.

This isn’t just about conservatives. Many doctors and nurses I know want nothing to do with the jab. Large portions of black and Latino citizens don’t want the jab either. Lots of people don’t want that jab. And if you demand vaccine passports to get into any business, you’ve just lost all that revenue. Good luck.

Few businesses in America will survive. Mass economic devastation is coming. The Great Depression of all depressions could be coming. Could anarchy and civil war be far behind?

Is this the Democrat plan? Are they really suicidal? Are they doing the bidding of the Chinese Communist Party? Or are they just that dumb?

And, dude, AND. Because if they were all that smart, they wouldn’t be Communists in the first place, now would they? Back to Solway for the closer.

If a cataclysm is somehow to be averted, the time is approximately now.

It is no accident that the American Constitution, one of the greatest political documents ever penned by man, on a par with the Magna Carta, owes its force and uniqueness to Scripture. Writing in Newsweek, Kurt Eichenwald points out that “historians are discovering that the Bible, perhaps even more than the Constitution, is our founding document.” Indeed, one cannot do better than to consult the American Patriot’s Bible, a volume that should be read and studied by concerned citizens who wish to understand the nature of their act of establishment and its debt to the Abrahamic Covenant.

A reawakening to the majesty of the Constitution and its scriptural warrant is the single route to “cleaning house,” to “Making America Great Again,” to rescuing the nation from the malign agenda of its domestic enemies who seek only profit and power rather than pride in accomplishment and commitment to what once was called its “manifest destiny.” In the current climate of apathy, nihilism, and deep perplexity, this may seem like an insurmountable task. Yet, a return to the source and its evident belief in providence remains the indispensable factor in the quest for national recovery. I am not a communicant, and yet I sense that only a miracle, perhaps Divine intervention via a cadre of chosen warriors loyal to the spiritual and doctrinal origins of the nation, can save America now.

Perhaps, perhaps. But perhaps not. All that’s really needed is some stout, doughty, and determined ordinary Joes—the taxpaying, truck-driving, field-plowing, lathe-running heartbeat of America That Was—to decide they’ve had enough of being played and simply aren’t going to put up with it anymore. No Superman, no mystic “chosen warriors” required, just the old-school American Common Man enraged by the realization that government “of, by, and for the People” has been supplanted, without his consent, by a monstrous abomination that’s been riding him like a rented mule for many years—sucking up an obscene percentage of his hard-earned to throw away on frivolous horseshit even as it wags its finger at him over just how damned objectionable he is.

The bloated, corpulent federal goobermint sits astraddle of this nation, making it creak and crackle from the stress of holding the overgrown blob up, like a Queen Anne Chair…

…groaning under the monstrous weight of this guy’s grotesquely blubberous ass:

Either we throw the putridly fat bastard off for good, or the weight breaks us into shards and shavings. Either/or; a binary solution set, with no in-betweens, no half-measures, no third options. The choice could not possibly be clearer, simpler, or more obvious.

Making it stick

Words, however strong or clear, can never amount to very much if the action required to back them up is never taken.

In 1938, one year before the outbreak of World War II, Winston Churchill gave his famous “the lights are going out” speech, in which he said, instructively: “Alexander the Great remarked that the people of Asia were slaves because they had not learned to pronounce the word ‘No.’ Let that not be the epitaph of the English-speaking peoples.”

In 2021, the world takes stock of its freedom and finds out just how little is left. In Australia, Melbourne has been locked down for 19 months and the police are shooting violators with rubber bullets. In New Zealand, citizens testing positive for COVID-19 were quarantined by force in government camps run by the military: “I cannot allow the gains we have all made to be squandered by processes that are not followed,” said New Zealand’s prime minister.

In Great Britain, the National Health Service built an app that “pings” people who have been near a person with a positive COVID test and requires those people to leave work. Last month the app was “pinging” more than half a million people every week. Boris Johnson’s spokesman says the app is doing “what it’s designed to do.”

In America, New Yorkers will not be allowed indoors anywhere—no bars, restaurants, museums, movie theaters, gyms—without their “Key to NYC” proof of vaccination. This despite the fact that the vaccine only inhibits one from developing symptoms, but does not at all affect the likelihood of having the virus in one’s system or passing it to others.

This year, much of the world discovered that its freedom was illusory: Nothing more than words and slogans to soothe the credulous, feeble public. But not in Florida, where I happen to be at the moment. When “Key to NYC” was announced by Bill de Blasio, I knew it was the right time to visit some friends in the south and see how the other half lives.

Unsurprisingly, Dan’s trip was exactly what you’d expect: an invigorating breath of the clean, clear air of freedom, summoning forth an inescapable conclusion:

The reality in Florida exposes the worldwide response to the novel coronavirus for what it is: An exercise in oppression. A precious opportunity for governments to see just how far their tentacles can intrude into peoples’ daily lives. An excuse to grant governments across the world extraordinary, emergency powers that, once granted, will become normal and then permanent. It’s an excuse—that’s all it is. A phony pretext for everything the government wanted to do anyway.

It is chilling and sobering to see how aggressively governments will subjugate populations of whom they are not afraid. In almost every country in the world, people are coming up against the unfortunate realization that, when push comes to shove, they are utterly helpless.

Only if they believe themselves to be, or—far, far worse, something we see way too much of all around us nowadays—if they actually LIKE it that way. Perhaps the most dismaying revelation over the past year and a half has been not of the true nature of our government, but that of so very many of our so-called countrymen.

Gelernter goes on to make the essential, if obvious, point about the motives of gun-grabbing tyrants, cites some examples, then closes out thusly:

A people disarmed is a people enslaved. Enslaved not only by their lacking effective means of resistance, but by their having shown their willingness to surrender those means to the authorities. When you look at American states with the freest gun laws, you know you’re looking at states with the freest people: Not simply because these people have guns, but because they had the strength of character to keep them. They were the ones who, when the government came around to lock them in their homes, said “No.”

If America is to enjoy a new birth of freedom, as I believe it will, it starts with those Americans who believe there are some things more important than safety, some things dearer even than life. To those in less-fortunate circumstances and places, it may fall to you to take the first step towards freedom regained: The government will ask you for your papers. You know what to say.

All fine and well, as I’ve repeatedly said, and he ain’t wrong about any of it. BUT…as I’ve also repeatedly said: not gonna get the job done. Wish it would, from the bottom of my heart. Won’t. Sorry, all. Now what?

Somewhat to his credit, Dan sidesteps the by now obligatory insistence that, vital as those guns are, any use of them for their Constitutionally-intended purpose absolutely MUST be preemptively foresworn by all Real Americans. As if tyrants who, as he correctly admits, no longer fear the faint-hearted Sheeple can ever be dissuaded from abusing them by words alone. As if the mere possession of guns can ever suffice to reinstill a proper and correct fear into our masters, absent a credible threat of resorting to them at dire need—exactly as the Founders had to do, and did. He simply doesn’t mention that aspect of the matter at all, one way or another.

But he didn’t flatly reject the idea out of hand either, a stance which has somehow become the default even amongst some of the firebrands of the historically literate, sincerely patriotic punditry. Kinda sad that that actually does represent progress, of a sort. But hey, I said “SOMEWHAT to his credit,” now didn’t I? Baby steps, people, baby steps.

Resources for fighting mandates against COVID injections, masks, COVID tests

In the wake of numerous mandates for COVID-19 injections and mask wearing, there are ways to protest and fight back against such mandates, using some of the resources compiled below.

Haven’t delved too deeply into it yet, but at first glance it seems to be well thought-out and organized. A tip of the ol’ CF chapeau to ’em for the effort and all; it’s a good enough opening gambit, if a bit late. But we all know by now, or we should, that it won’t be enough. Alas, there’s only one way to end this—and it’s a lot more, ummm, kinetic, shall we say.

It could NEVER happen here

It already is, of course. Oz is about fifteen-twenty minutes ahead of us on this, that’s all.

Travelers visiting or returning to Australia will have to quarantine for 14 days at their own expense. Quarantine camps are going up around Australia and to little surprise. Australia has seen massive riots, protesting draconian lockdown measures. The Australian military has been brought in and is going door-to-door to make sure people are obeying lockdown orders.

Follows, a Tweet featuring a 12 year old child being pepper-sprayed by Australian Stasi goons. A dangerous White Supremacist revolutionary insurgent, no doubt. Then, another with New South Wales Gestapo head David Elliott declaring it every “patriotic” Aussie’s duty to rat out any of their family, friends, neighbors, or casual acquaintances who might be considering committing a Crime Against the Reich by attending a protest of any sort. And then we down to to the meat, potatoes, and curdled gravy.

Australia has begun construction on their second COVID-19 quarantine camp, deceptively called “Melbourne’s Centre for National Resilience.” It’s down the road from Melbourne Airport, known locally as Tullamarine Airport, which serves the city of Melbourne, and is Australia’s second-busiest airport.

Fear-O-Rama! New Zealand recently locked down after one suspected case of COVID.

The 1,000-bed quarantine facility will be finished by the end of the year but will be operational as soon as it can accommodate 500 beds. It will have the ability to add room for an additional 3,000 beds if needed.

The holding pen is being modeled on the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience. Australian authorities have found that quarantine camps are more successful than hotels, many of which were found to have substandard ventilation. Australian authorities claim high viral loads have caused “COVID leakage,” which resulted in the government declaring a stage-four lockdown of 6 million people in the Australian state of Victoria. Only three of 19 hotels considered as possible quarantine quarters were equipped with the necessary ventilation.

Local residents called for and were granted a community briefing session, which was held last week. Discussion topics included how such a facility will affect real-estate prices and the fear of COVID escaping into the community. The camp is roughly half a mile from the closest neighborhood.

The locals were assured the camp would follow the highest infection-control standards, set by the Howard Springs facility, and that the staff will be fully vaccinated. The workers will also be unable to work second jobs.

When asked why locals weren’t informed there was a camp being built in their community, the Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews (the Aussie equivalent of a state governor) responded by saying, “We want the community to know what’s going on there, we want the community to be part of that program and that process, but we’ve got to get this built.

“There’s much greater risk to people across Victoria, Mickleham included, by having thousands of people in hotels that are not built to quarantine them,” he added. “That’s the site that’s been chosen and everyone, including locals, will be better off because of that.”

In other words, he dodged the question.

Of course. But what he also did was remind the serfs of their proper place in the grand scheme of things:

  • Know your role
  • Shut your hole
  • Do NOT question Authority
  • Submit and Obey
  • Hey, remember the days before tyranny took root and spread like a toxic weed, when the people of the West threw around now-phantasmagorical terms like “the Free World” and such with great pride? Nah, me neither.

    The truth gets loose

    Look, over there! A SQUIRREL!

25,687,041 Total population of Australia as of 30th June, 2020

COVID & VACCINE STATS AS OF AUGUST 18th FROM GOVERNMENT SOURCES:
    40,774 total Covid cases
970 total Covid deaths
10,195,842 individuals with at least one dose of vaccine.
ADVERSE REACTION REPORTING AS OF AUGUST 4th

    28,487 Astrazeneca Adverse Reactions
254 Astrazeneca Deaths
16,816 Comirnaty Adverse Reactions
166 Comirnaty Deaths

    Vox unpacks it:

The first thing that leaps out is 420 reported vaccine deaths compared to 970 total Covid deaths. Even if we leave out the assumption that adverse reactions are under-reported, assume that all of the Covid deaths are actually OF Covid rather than WITH Covid and are of the unvaccinated, and ignore the natural mutation of the virus to more contagious, less lethal variants, the relative risk factors make it clear that it is riskier for the average Australian to become a vaccine recipient than to remain unvaccinated.

    • Chance of unvaccinated individual contracting and dying of Covid = one in 26,481
    • Chance of vaccinated individual dying of an adverse vaccine reaction = one in 24,275

So, even in the most favorable possible case for the vaccines, the average individual’s risk of death is essentially the same. And once you begin factoring in comorbidities, age, the decreased lethality of the Delta variant, the number of vaccinated deaths, the possibility that the patient died of something else while Covid-positive, and the mounting evidence that the ADE scenario is in effect, it is clear that the vaccines pose a greater threat to human life than does the virus.

There’s more, of course. These days, when isn’t there?
