Somehow, being Cool blew up in America’s face. Cool became cringe, and cringe is everywhere you look.

That goes hand in hand with the Land Of The Free having slowly become the Home Of The Cowed—a sad, sorry transition that had the cherry put on top of it this past summer.

Legend, or CIA-funded propaganda, tells us the exact moment that Nikita Khrushchev knew the USSR was finished. It was 1959, and the Soviet premier was jetting out from LA as the sun dropped into the Pacific. Window-adjacent, thousands of feet up, Niki looked down, and there it was: American superabundance. Villa after villa after villa, each with its backyard swimming pool and its own gleaming Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, rolling into a cavernous garage. Our comrade was flattened — how many five-year plans would it take to have comforts like this? Game over, man.

On the margins of this civilization which Khrushchev envied, a diffuse set of heretics, misfits, pariahs, outcasts and hipsters of all ethnicities invented American Cool. Embryonic in the Jazz Age, clumsily developed by the Beats, accidentally incarnate in Elvis and studiously incarnate in Miles Davis, Cool was everywhere, even official, by the early years of the Sixties. It was an ironic attitude, a nonchalant pose, a controlled pout. Largely but not solely a male attribute, Cool was the armor plate worn by JFK and Steve McQueen, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, Sidney Poitier and Saul Bellow. By the end of the decade it was seethingly and suddenly teenaged. Cool went mad. Waiting for a rain of hydrogen bombs to close the human era, terrified by the Draft, the privileged children of that American super-abundance embraced sex, drugs, rock and rebellion.

The baby boomers’ struggle against all received wisdom summoned Godzilla-strength antagonists like John Wayne, William F. Buckley and Allan Bloom, each with his own charisma to burn. Depth, cosmic ambition, danger, juice, rigor — American culture was fulfilling its promise. ‘Let us boldly condemn all imitation,’ Herman Melville wrote in 1850, ‘and foster all originality.’ Well, here it was at last. The whole world, as the radicals of the time liked to say, was watching.

America’s cultural machinery jammed in the late Sixties. In the decades that followed, Cool burned itself out in the Culture Wars. This agonizing and often illusory conflict is many things. Cool is not one of them. Before it sprouted liver spots, the Culture War was at least capable of the odd vital explosion. Witness Town Bloody Hall (1979): witness Norman Mailer (in 1971), fresh from writing an essay on the sex war he described as ‘the most important single intellectual event of the last four years’, as he bluffs, batters, bristles and flirts his way through an electric two-hour debate with hardcore gynocrats Germaine Greer, Diana Trilling, Susan Sontag and Jill Johnston. ‘You are all singularly without wit,’ Mailer snarls, while the libbers hiss. It’s pure theater. The sexual chemistry between Mailer and Greer could have powered USS Gerald R. Ford.

How does the sex war play out today? Agonizingly, like all Culture War battles. Take Cardi B and her porno-rap single ‘WAP’ (the initials stand for ‘Wet-Ass Pussy’). Released in August, it rapidly became the most streamed and most watched single in Billboard 100 history. Miss B, who is shaped like five Hindenburgs stuffed into a fat suit, was the focus of much try-hard celebratory commentary by the femo-hacks who staff so many of our Republic’s prestige publications. Who would defend virtue, propriety and what Roman rapper Cicero called the summum bonum against this delirious filth?

Ben Shapiro, knight-at-arms, that’s who. Seeing the opportunity to start yet another pointless moral fracas, Shapiro devoted a fussy podcast segment to Ms B’s lyrics, which range from the drolly risqué to the uncomfortably gynecological. Shapiro, whose wife is a doctor, suggested that Ms B and her fellow lyricist Megan Thee Stallion bragging about requiring ‘bucket and mop’ for their ‘pussies’ suggested they required urgent medical attention. Ho, ho, ho! Gleefully, thousands upon thousands of Twitter accounts then suggested that Shapiro had never aroused any women, anywhere, poor Mrs Shapiro included.

There was, unfortunately, more. A few weeks later, Ms B, whose entire shtick is boasting about her sexual prowess, was humiliated in turn by the public collapse of her marriage to the rapper Offset. It seemed he’d been bucket-and-mopping behind her back for years. By the end, every participant in this toe-curling saga was diminished, smaller than before. That’s the Culture of Cringe in miniature.

Inexplicably, in a sprawling examination of America’s long-dominant Culture Of Cool and its reduction to nothing but a limp, wispy caricature of its former robust self, the author fails to mention Frank Sinatra even one time. Notwithstanding that bizarre omission, it’s still a pretty interesting read if you’re into that sort of thing. Which, we probably ALL ought to be a lot more “into that sort of thing” than we have been to date, given the demonstration we’re witnessing even now of just how critical the Culture Wars can be when it comes to the overall fate of the nation.

There won’t be any mythical “unity” with people who’ve called for our shaming, rounding up, re-education, and our deaths. Nor any  “let’s-let-bygones-be-bygones” bullshit. There isn’t going to be any kowtowing to a horrendously corrupt process that even let anyone get this close to pulling it off, as though the Marquess of Queensbury Rules would remain in full effect, just because someone got away with it.

We aren’t gong to regroup, and hope the Senate, or SCOTUS, or the fucking Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny, come to our rescue to keep frothing communists from enacting the Soviet/Cuban/Venezuelan Worker’s Paradise they’ve been salivating over for 80 years.

The minute someone violates democracy, and all due process, the social contract is broken, the Rule of Law is out the window, and any and all allegiance anyone owed or might claim from us to the former republic is null and void, in perpetuity.

Because from that moment forward, that republic has died, and ceases to exist.

I henceforth owe it nothing.

Not nostalgia, not love, not treasure, not true faith nor allegiance, because the party to whom all that was owed is no longer extant.

I will agitate, protest, strike, undermine, monkeywrench, sabotage, and if necessary, kill people and break things to destroy whatever hologram of the former republic anyone tries to prop up, and I won’t rest at that until I’m either dead, or I win.

We’re not going to hope for miraculous salvation, we’re going to shoot m#####f#####s in the face. Those are the stakes, and you said you wanted to play for blood. Game on, girl scouts.

A-fucking-men, from beginning to end. Just for the record, shitlibs: no, he is NOT kidding about this. None of us are. This is as serious as it gets. Because we all know how this story goes…and how it ends.

Historically, we know what has happened when there is conflict between a traditional society and a progressive socialist movement that has (or is in the process of gaining) the reigns of power in government.

We know what happens. It is a predictable, and well understood process. It is well documented.

You will not know you are in danger until it is too late.

You will not know.

When the new progressive socialist government takes control, one of the first things that they do is hunt down and slaughter their opposition. Historically, that has been the conservative and traditional elements of the society. I am sorry to say this, but this is the historical truth.

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon or rocket scientist to figure this out. All you need to do is read one or two history books. Nothing being said now should be any shock to anyone even remotely versed in history. It’s a very well established progression of history.

Every progressive liberal socialist movement eventually goes full-on Pol Pot.

What should be a shock is that the United States is destined to be one such nation. And you, dear boys and girls, are just about ready to be placed smack dab in ground zero for conflict. It will not be comfortable. It will not be pleasant. And, there will be those who will absolutely refuse to believe that it is happening.

I am not going to rehash history. You should know this. The only thing that I must underline is that YOU are not immune from the steam-roller of historical events. They will occur whether you want them to or not.

The question now is, have Americans learned the lessons of history? Enough of them, at any rate, to prevent it from being repeated here and now?

“Avoiding death is not living”

There’s only one response to anyone suggesting families shouldn’t celebrate Thanksgiving together this year because of COVID-19: Go to hell.

Actually, there IS one other response available for Real Americans who still retain the gumption to countenance using it: SEND the bastards there.

“Encourage guests to avoid singing or shouting, especially indoors. Keep music levels down so people don’t have to shout or speak loudly to be heard.”

That is not a passage from some dystopian novel or a command by a Marxist dictator or a parody in The Onion. It’s guidance posted on the Centers for Disease Control website courtesy of the United States government. Think about that: Some federal bureaucrat, probably a highly credentialed “expert” with a messianic complex, is telling 330 million Americans that they should not sing. In their own homes. So they don’t spread a mostly harmless virus to other people.

It’s beyond laughable, but this isn’t a joke. These people are serious. And they should receive a collective middle finger from the American people.

If there’s any upside to this God-awful year, it’s the revelation that the people in charge are inhumane sociopaths consumed with their own egos and lust for power. The nation—and the world—is being subjected to a destructive pseudoscientific experiment that has failed spectacularly in its stated mission to “stop” COVID-19 while inflicting an economic, educational, and personal toll that never will be fully calculated.

Everyone has suffered but no one has been punished for unleashing this slow-moving catastrophe. To the contrary, the cabal of culpable government leaders are digging in their boot heels to crush the collective spirit of the country. At a time when people need to be with their friends and families the most, a time when the soul-soothing routine of the holidays has never been more necessary, the government’s soulless apparatchiks seek to strip away our last vestiges of joy.

These people are not healthy. They don’t care about you or your child or your elderly parent. They care only about power and control. They should be mocked then ignored. Sadly, however, millions of brainwashed Americans will dutifully comply. Cherished moments will be forsaken without any guarantee they’ll return next holiday season.

With ya one hundred and ten percent there, Jules. Alas, thanks to the panic-ninnies’ hysterical overreaction to the Red Death—and the audacity with which our new overlords so eagerly exploited it for nefarious purposes—all too many Americans proved all too willing to give up essential liberty to purchase a wholly-false security. In perfect accordance with Benjamin Franklin’s unheeded warning, they have now lost both, and deserve neither.

Of brass tacks, the nitty-gritty, and nut-cuttin’

Let’s get right down to ’em.

Last Wednesday, supporters of President Donald Trump gathered outside ballot counting centers in Arizona and Michigan to demand a clean and honest vote count. An MSNBC reporter in Arizona filmed the protesters in Maricopa County, where 400,000 ballots were being counted. Standing behind the protesters, the reporter tried to paint the crowd as violent and dangerous even as they stood and kneeled in silent prayer for election integrity.

It was a hard sell, but other reporters quickly got in on the action, and videos appeared throughout the day of reporters describing the swelling crowd chanting “Count the Vote” as violent.

There may be an innocent explanation for the obvious misinformation.

No there isn’t. To believe there might be, you’d need to accept the self-evidently spurious notion that we’re talking about innocent, impartial players here—honest reporters with nothing but pure hearts, clear consciences, and good intentions motivating them. At this point, anybody who isn’t guffawing right out loud at the very idea is a damned fool.

Political violence, like ballot harvesting, is a feature of the Democrats’ post-democratic political playbook. And here it is important to remember how things transpired in real time.

During the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, her campaign and the media presented Trump and his supporters as illegitimate political actors. Clinton memorably referred to them as “deplorables.” When Trump won the race, their delegitimization of Trump and his supporters quickly led them not to oppose Trump’s presidency, actions and policies, but to reject the legitimacy of both his presidency and of the democratic process that enables “deplorables” to choose a president that the Democrats don’t support.

That is, the delegitimization of Trump and his voters morphed into a rejection of the rules of American democracy.

Actually, it’s the other way around: the Left’s rejection of American democracy and Constitutional government long predated their refusal to accept Trump’s 2016 win, which then led to the ongoing campaign to delegitimize and remove him from office, by any means they could contrive.

It’s impossible to know how things will develop in America in the coming weeks. But it is hard to see a rainbow over the horizon. If Trump is declared the winner, the Democrats won’t accept the legitimacy of the verdict. Their use of political violence will undoubtedly rise.

And if Biden is declared the winner, the Democrats will not rest on their laurels. Having already adopted the totalitarian mindset, they will insist their newfound power be used to advance their program. Indeed, they already are.

MSNBC commentator Jason Johnson said Wednesday that there must be no peace for Republicans in a Biden presidency. Johnson warned Biden that he mustn’t even think about magnanimity in victory. He is “at war.”

In Johnson’s words, “You cannot come into this White House with the idea that these people [Trump supporters] aren’t the enemy. They are. They are the enemies of democracy.”

As I keep saying, we must take true enemies of democracy, liberty, and Constitutionally-proper governance like the excrescence Johnson at their word. Not should, mind you; MUST. Because trust me, they are NOT just whistling Dixie with all this bluster about “war” and “enemies” and such. These villanous curs have demonstrated enough times by now that they mean these terms quite literally, and take this war quite seriously indeed.

So must Team Liberty, then. We must ditch any and all remaining reticence over naming them enemies and start calling a spade a spade here. To go on being reluctant to face the unpleasant facts squarely will do nothing more than guarantee we’ll be overwhelmed and, ultimately, undone by them. Our enemy intends to win, and to rule. We must not, we cannot, allow that. However impolite the more genteel among us think it to say such beastly things right out loud, they’ll dislike what happens if we lose this war a whole lot more.

As for Trump’s supporters, after being called “chumps” by Biden, after watching the Democrat-run vote counts and Big Tech’s censorship of the president, Trump’s supporters will not trust the integrity of the process that brought Biden to the White House. And it is hard to imagine them taking it silently.

Standing outside the Philadelphia courthouse Wednesday, Giuliani addressed both the media and Trump’s supporters. Looking at the reporters, he said, “Do you think we’re stupid? You think we are fools?”

Turning to Trump’s supporters, Giuliani added, “Do you know something? The Democrats do think you’re stupid, they do think you’re fools, and that’s why you get called deplorable chumps. That’s over.”

No, not yet it isn’t. Count on it, people: none of this—NONE of it—will be over unless and until WE DECIDE IT IS, and then make that decision stick. Like it or not, there’s only one way to do that. It won’t be pretty, it won’t be easy, and it won’t be pleasant. But at the end of the day, the alternative will be far, far worse. It’s time for us to stop being chumps and show these assholes instead just how “deplorable” we can be when we need to. Time, too, to show them exactly why we’ve been “bitterly clinging” to our Bibles and our guns, and to teach them exactly what the 2A is really all about.

“This Is a Time for Fighting, Not for ‘Healing'”

We all know that since the Sixties, and increasing every decade since then, the Democrats have moved farther left from the center and increasingly employed the scorched-earth tactics typical of the left. This development reached its peak during the Obama years, when the IRS was weaponized against Republican and conservative political organizations; and the White House began an illegal investigation into Donald Trump’s campaign and administration, in which high-ranking officials from the CIA, FBI, and DOJ participated, many moving on to the specious Mueller investigation that wasted $32 million and two years on a political ad for the Democrats. Meanwhile, progressive allies in government, media, sports, tech, and entertainment waged a relentless smear campaign against the President, egged on by Congressmen staging show-trial “hearings” for the news cameras.

So forgive us for turning a jaundiced eye on Biden’s clichés of “healing” and “unity.” More importantly, such talk bespeaks the guild mentality of like-minded and socio-economically similar technocrats, not the divided and balanced republic the Constitution created for we the people. Apart from times of war and natural disasters, unity should trouble us, for widespread agreement is usually the prelude to concentrations of power that facilitate tyranny.

The Founders distrusted excessive power, so they created a government of separate powers, each designed to check the encroachments of the other, and all checked and balanced by the sovereign states. This structure, along with elections every two years, has been the bulwark of our freedom. But for a century progressives have chipped away at that defense. The executive branch has expanded its size and scope by increasing the number of agencies and expanding their regulatory reach. The states were weakened when the power to select Senators was taken from state legislatures and given to the people. Given the Senate’s power to check the executive––confirming federal justices and cabinet members, declaring war, ratifying treaties––that change reduced the leverage state houses had over the executive. And don’t forget the federal money doled out to states for signing on to various redistributionist programs and illiberal federal regulations. As the British used to say about joining the army, “He who takes the king’s shilling is the king’s man.” State sovereignty has been weakened by this devil’s bargain.

As a result, over that time the scope of our freedom has been reduced, and the Bill of Rights hemmed in by restrictions and regulations. Matters of private conscience to be debated at the local or state level have been usurped by the feds and a hubristic Supreme Court. The very evils the Revolutionary generation fought against––overweening unaccountable power wielded by a distant sovereign––have been insidiously creeping back, and explicit threats have been made against our First and Second Amendment rights, as well as the Electoral College that protects minority rights from the majority.

That’s what “unity” portends–– the reduction of political diversity and freedom by the encroachments of an expanding government power. What we call “gridlock,” the stasis that follows factional disputes, is not a flaw in the system, it is its purpose, and the means for stopping power’s encroachments by setting ambition against ambition. It is how politically we obey the rule “first do no harm.”

If, as seems likely, Biden is certified as the winner of the election, and the Republicans keep the Senate, we will see in the next few years the genius of the Constitution at work. The tyrannical ambitions of the “woke” left will be checked by the Senate and a Trump-appointed judiciary. And in two years the people will have the chance to confirm or revise the status quo.

So pay no attention to the duplicitous rhetoric of “unity” and “healing.” The Dems have for decades proven they’re not interested in reconciliation, but in power. Conservatives are not the “loyal opposition,” they are the “racist, sexist, xenophobic” enemy to be defeated by any means necessary. That means it’s time to fight, not to “heal.”

Exactly, precisely, one hundred percent correct—apart from his breezy confidence that the Left will be “checked” by a Senate which has never shown the least penchant for any such thing before, a Pollyanna-ish optimism I do NOT share in the slightest. As for the rest of it, yeah, spot on.

When Democrat-Socialist creeps and connivers come around crooning words like “unity” and “healing” into the ears of their hated enemies, what the manipulative wretches really mean by them is “surrender” and “comply.” They’re not seeking real reconciliation with us; all they want from us is obedience. Be assured that we will receive nothing whatsoever from them in return.

Truth is, with their ilk it’s ALWAYS “time to fight, not to heal.” There can be no “healing” or “unity” with would-be Communist dictators, no rapprochement or compromise, nor SHOULD there be. As history has invariably shown, to naively yield to their unctuous, deceitful blandishments is a fatal blunder. The only viable options are A) crush them utterly, or B) die in the attempt.

Real Americans, now and for all time, must re-dedicate themselves to living up to some of the most stirring words in all history—an uncompromising rejection of a tyranny far less odious than the one that threatens us today—spoken by a common ancestor whose unblemished example is a legacy of which a lapsed and inattentive people can only pray to prove themselves worthy:

And what have we to oppose to them? Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years. Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable; but it has been all in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication? What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted?

Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne, and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope. If we wish to be free– if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending–if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained–we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us!

They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable–and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come.

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!

I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

What true American, what honest lover of liberty, could ever disparage those beautiful words or revile the man who spoke them? Only a soulless dullard, a total cretin whose ahistorical ignorance is surpassed only by his unfounded arrogance, could even conceive of doing such a shameful thing. That our present-day enemy dares to do so, not just openly but boastfully, reveals everything we should ever need to know concerning his vileness, his abject lack of character, his witless stupidity, and the total necessity of defeating and destroying him.

A matter of trust

This. This right here.

It is impossible to overstate how serious a stolen American presidential election is. It is literally the end of the Republic if that is what has happened. And it cannot be remedied, because there are 70 million people who will never trust or respect the federal elections process again without drastic reforms that would effectively constitute a new social contract.

America will become ungovernable. The cash economy will overtake the legitimate economy. Lawlessness will become rampant as once-lawful citizens give up and begin chiseling out whatever they can. Without a social contract, there is no peaceful transfer of power in any political office, and violence will reign.

We could be literally facing the end of America.

Actually, we’re facing the aftermath of the end of America, which occurred when we permitted the Left to get away consequence-free with the manifest criminality and corruption we’ve passively witnessed for so long.

This can’t be allowed. A stolen election in the United States of America is unthinkable. That one side would so blatantly violate the social contract is beyond the pale.

The president and his team will be making the case this week that the irregularities and defects in this failed election changed the outcome. They must be allowed to make that case, and to present evidence for it. If that evidence is indeed compelling and shows itself to be material to the outcome, then legislators in those states where the fraud has been decisive are obligated to invalidate the posted, fraudulent results and choose their own slates of electors as provided in the Constitution. Failing that, the House must vote on Jan. 3 to invalidate an Electoral College result decided by fraud.

The Constitution, the foundation of our Republic, demands no less. It provides remedies against a stolen election. If those remedies are not acted upon should the president win his case, the Constitution is dead and the Republic with it, and the abyss beckons.

Oh, the abyss isn’t beckoning. It now surrounds us, its darkness has engulfed us. Sad to say, the only possible path back into the light is as perilous as it is tortuous.

Divided we stand

Unity? With THESE viscid pus-buckets? When Hell freezes.

Although Biden’s Wilmington speech was predictably semi-coherent, one point came through clearly enough. “Stop treating our opponents as our enemies,” he said. “They’re not our enemies. They’re Americans.”

That was rich, coming from a man who, on the rare occasions when he’d spoken up during the past couple of years, had parroted his party’s line that Trump voters are bigots, morons, and “ugly folks.” A man who’d taken part in the unprecedented, treasonous conspiracy to push the Russian-collusion lie and thereby unseat an elected president. 

Biden wasn’t alone in pushing this forgive-and-forget line. On Facebook, my page filled up with memes like this one: “Don’t lose friendships today over two men who don’t even know your names. It’s OK to have different political views and still be OK with each other.”

That meme, and the others like it, were all posted by Trump supporters. But I had to respectfully dissent. These people, however pure their intentions, were calling for forgiveness without repentance. They were asking their fellow Trump voters to pretend that none of this ugliness had ever taken place—the years-long coup attempt, the rhetoric about “deplorables,” and finally, yes, the vote fraud.

It was asking Trump voters to believe if they only affirmed the idea that Biden had won, their longtime Democratic tormentors would shed socialism, corporations would drop globalism, the deep state would quit its partisan perfidy, and journalists would go back to being journalists.

As former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted on Saturday night: “Resist. Overturn. Boycott. Surveil. Leak. Impeach. And now they tell us it’s time to heal. Where were they for the last four years?”

As it happened, many on the Left—and to me it seemed like most, not just many—weren’t exactly extending the hand of friendship anyway.

Yes, it sounds pretty to say that people with different political views can “still be OK with each other.” Maybe that was true back when we all shared the same basic values. To watch the 1960 Kennedy-Nixon debate is to recognize that the actual ideological and policy differences between those two men were minuscule.

Today, no more. The people who put Biden in office are aspiring totalitarians and their unwitting, brainwashed tools. Never underestimate the deadly seriousness of aspiring totalitarians.

Indeed. As with their murderous jihadi allies of convenience, we should take them at their word, and treat them exactly as the deadly, implacable enemies they so truly are.

We must FIGHT!

Those who demand grace from Trump supporters as we watch the nation stolen from us, deny the peril from a ravenous beast that will consume our freedoms and chain the American people.

Don’t believe that the crazies really are serious about retribution? How about AOC’s endorsement of the Trump Accountability Project designed to, “make sure anyone who took a paycheck to help Trump undermine America is held responsible for what they did.”

This is what Communist dictators do. It is how North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, Venezuela’s Maduro, even Communist China’s Mao, Deng, and current leader Xi Jinping control their un-free people. It is consistent with historical tyranny imposed by Lenin and Stalin.

The AOC’s of the Left, are joined by crazed, attack dogs in the media like the odious Olbermann who wants the president arrested and removed from office. Olbermann, who has lately become even more delirious with hate, also wants to arrest Tucker Carlson and others who have exposed the Left or expressed support for Trump. And yet the propaganda arm of the new Left and Democrats continues to give a platform to spew hate and discord by this unhinged lunatic who advocates for violence against those with whom he disagrees.

There really is no other choice but to fight to preserve our nation. While the Left is assiduously stealing the presidency (with the almost ironic twist that Republicans are gaining seats in Congress and around the country), we must not acquiesce to their efforts. We must have faith. We must have hope. We must have the courage necessary to fight.

This flat statement lining out who the enemy is, what he’s capable of, and what he intends for us is correct so far in its factual detail, its historical parallels, and its tenor. But then he goes wobbly.

If it takes peaceful protests, we must take to the streets with a quiet and resolved dignity that shows the difference between the thoughtful Right and the mindless Left.

If it takes litigation, our lawyers must be given the resources and support necessary to make the case.

It certainly will take communication to the American people. Communicate every way, through every mode. And when the Masters of the Tech Universe censor you, go around them.

We must urge legislators to confirm Trump’s electors when there is demonstrable tampering of electoral outcomes by the vote thieves on the Left.

WE MUST FIGHT, PEOPLE!! With peaceful protests, with litigation, with communication, with “urging.” Anybody but me notice that any mention of actual, y’know, FIGHTING is very scrupulously avoided?

Peaceful protest, litigation, and etc are all fine things, in more civilized contexts with a more or less honorable opponent. They’re infinitely preferable to violence and bloodshed, no doubt. But what happens when those fine and noble things are insufficient to the task? When you’re confronting an enemy for whom attempts at peaceful persuasion or compromise are viewed only with scorn, as signs of weakness that can be exploited to crush the foe completely? When the conflict is not against more civilized opponents with at least a general respect the rules of fair play and decency, but against venomous, belly-crawling snakes in the grass whose only goal is victory, at any cost and by any means?

THEN what are you prepared to do?



Nation on the brink

I dunno, I’d say we’ve gone over the precipice myself.

The democrats are losing congressional seats, state office seats, a governor and yet those same states voted for Biden? It defies common sense. Millions of election day voter ballots could be counted in hours within Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Nevada…. but they needed to stop, pause, and take days to count thousands? Again, none of this makes sense; unless this was manipulated by design.

President Trump can hold rallies with tens-of-thousands, while Joe Biden can only draw a few dozen. Surrogates for Trump draw more supporters to their events than former President Barack Obama. Again, nonsensical under any scenario.

Miami-Dade votes for Donald Trump and kicks out democrat incumbent congressional representation. Then we consider the biggest GOP vote share among married families, a cross-section of all religious affiliations and all races for President Trump… and yet somehow the invisible campaign of Joe Biden had the largest impact?

President Trump has a social-media following six to ten times larger than Joe Biden; and in the lead-up to the election the supporters for Trump outnumbered the Biden campaign by magnitudes almost too high to count. Yet this little supported candidacy of Biden was able to attract more ’20 votes than “The Lightbringer“, ’08 candidate Obama?  Unlikely.

Prior to the election most Americans knew the ‘mail-in’ ballot demand from Democrats was ripe for fraud and manipulation. With hundreds-of-thousands of ‘mail-in’ ballots at the heart of the current election controversy; and specifically with regional political operatives doing everything they can to block any review of that process; and those regional entities are known to be at the epicenter of previously documented fraud; that prior conception is stark.

At the 30,000 ft level – Biden voters, actual people voting, did not exceed Trump voters. Which means the current dynamic consists of a minority number of Biden supporters taking possession of an election where the majority are dismissed. There is no reasonable way to reconcile this ever leading to a positive outcome; even with an overwhelming effort by mainstream media to push a narrative, and an effort by big tech to suppress any dissension. There is just a point where reality is so stark no amount of manipulative spin can compensate for it.

The resulting election dynamic is a powder-keg of danger to our constitutional republic; and it will not be resolved simply by the Biden supporter side demanding acceptance.

How can you endanger a “constitutional republic that no longer exists?

I’m not sure how this is going to end but we have crossed a horizon here and there is no way for the American people to ever go back to that time when they did not see the strings on the political marionettes.

Well over seventy million people are on the precipice of having their votes disenfranchised. These same people are being summarily dismissed, told to shut-up, and are now carrying a much more angry fuel within them. This non-democratic reality is not within the recipe for a recoverable position. EVER.

If, BIG “if”, Joe Biden, is appointed as president, that powder-keg is going to want to ignite with a ferocity the leftists in this nation genuinely do not understand or appreciate. 

It’s an awful thing to have to ponder, but Real Americans could find themselves much worse off if it DOESN’T ignite. If the third of the Four Boxes fails to turn this clusterfuck around, as seems highly likely, then the choice is as simple as it is stark: surrender to tyranny and terror, putting ourselves at the mercy of uncompromising, proven-violent zealots whose hatred for us burns well beyond mere derangement…or strike a match and light the friggin’ fuse.

The 2020 election in particular, and our electoral process in general, have been badly compromised.

First there have been the successful efforts by Democrats to loosen electoral administration standards and practices by legalizing ballot harvesting (where partisan “volunteers” go out and collect ballots as well as “assist” voters in filling out their ballots), allowing same-day voter registration, mass mail-in voting, and the like. On the flipside we have Democrats tenaciously fighting any efforts to shore up the integrity of the system, such as requiring ID and proof of citizenship to vote.

Couple all of this with unprecedented last minute rule changes on the eve of what was sure to be the most contested election in generations, if not in American history: all changes designed to favor one side over the other.

Theoretically, none of these measures guaranteed a compromised vote. Theoretically, it’s possible that a system designed to be gamed and abused won’t be. But a party concerned about the integrity of the system wouldn’t expend so much effort making it easier to rig elections; it would do the opposite. The other party, the one trying to do exactly that (if all too often in a desultory, half-hearted way) nevertheless gets attacked as the enemy of “democracy.”

No matter what he does, President Trump will get no credit from his enemies, who are already demanding that he concede before the counting is even over—to say nothing of the lawsuits and potential recounts. If he does, a new standard will have been set, or an old one reaffirmed: in any close election, if the Democrat appears to be ahead, and irregularities appear to be present, they are to be dismissed as nonexistent and the Republican must go gently into that good night.

That may well work in securing the White House this time. But if they just ram this through without explaining what really happened, then the legitimacy not just of our electoral system but of our entire government will have suffered an extreme, and possibly fatal, blow. 
No one will really know who won. Partisans on both sides will insist they do, but they won’t—not really. Unless all the anomalies are explained, every count and recount conducted in a fair and transparent manner, the occupant of the White House on January 20, 2021—whoever he is—will sit under a cloud. If he’s Joe Biden, that cloud will be entirely of his party’s own making.

But far more ominously, one half the country—or to be more precise, the class that rules in the interests of (at most) half the country—will surmise that it can rule by fiat. The other half will conclude that they are subjects.

Whether that conclusion resigns the latter to apathy or stirs them to rebellion is the question that will determine the course of our politics going forward.

Agreed, right down the line. The past week’s heinous events have revealed what kind of country America really is. From here on out, we will find out what kind people Americans really are—or if they can still rightly even call themselves Americans at all. I shudder to contemplate what the answer will be. The only thing we can all be certain of is that nothing will ever be the same again. No matter what, politics, elections, the people, their relations with each other, the country as a whole, EVERYTHING has changed—profoundly, irrevocably, and NOT for the better.

Update! Bill, too, is taking stock.

You know, the real problem here isn’t that we have embarrassed ourselves. It is that the Ruling Class and its Ruling Party – the American Oligarchy, in other words – has come out of the shadows in which it customarily operates and, on the third try, managed a naked, but successful coup against Donald Trump.

People thought this was a game. They thought there were rules. There weren’t. There was only win, or lose, and they intended to win.

As I predicted, the tech oligarchs shut down all effective opposition to the coup on their platforms, and put all their expertise to work guaranteeing the success of the coup. The Enemy Media (and that part of the media we thought was not the enemy, but it was too), went all in. The billionaires opened their wallets wide and poured a tsunami of money into the cause. And the politicians loosed Blackshirt storm troopers onto our locked down cities, while we cowered behind closed doors, afraid to breathe free air because of a plague that doesn’t actually exist.
 
Nor did the designers of the coup intend to settle for half measures. Apparently now control of the Senate is at risk as well. Bucket loads of late ballots manufactured from God knows where are flowing into states in the middle of the night, and suddenly a Senate majority that looked safe for the GOP is teetering on the brink. Make no mistake, if the Senate ends in a tie, Kamala Harris will be there to decide every tie vote to favor the Democrats.

We will end up with a Democrat sweep of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.

And then they’ll do away with the filibuster in the Senate, pack the Supreme Court, and start to work on rendering the constitution itself an irrelevant document. The Second Amendment? Forget about it. And if you think the cops won’t enforce the gun confiscation orders from their bosses, well, you probably thought our elections were honest, too.

And we will take it. We will accept the new order. Why? Because we have become a weak and flaccid nation, addicted to the numb buzz of our social media habits, brainwashed by the tech lords and the media minions of the progressive juggernaut. Our Founders bet their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor on America. We won’t risk the time it takes to get out of our chairs, away from the juice of FB and Twitter wired directly into our brains, or ten bucks out of our wallets to support candidates who support America. As for honor, that’s so old fashioned. We don’t do honor any longer. And our children have been “educated” to despise everything America once stood for.

We didn’t lose our nation this week. We lost it years ago. And the GOP helped.

Sad to say, I can’t argue with any of that either. As I said last night: although the long downhill slide began long before, we lost our country fully and for good back in the 60s when we complacently declined to kick Proggy Red’s scroungy ass to the curb, tacitly granting space for his diseased ideology to fester and metastasize. The Founders explictly laid out what would ensue should Americans ever relax their vigilance and become derelict in their duty to defend liberty, to “preserve its blessings for themselves and their posterity.” And now their warnings have been realized, their prescient genius confirmed for all time.

All that’s left now is to pay the tab for that gross laxity. It ain’t gonna be fun.

What now?

Does anyone have a good answer? IS there a good answer?

We’ve seen this movie before. This is how they beat Scott Walker in Wisconsin in 2018, Tom Foley in Connecticut in 2010, and Norm Coleman in Minnesota in 2008.

Why stop the count? Because that’s the only way to know how many votes you need to “win.” Sure, you can just brute force things by backing up a truck full of ballots. But that looks bad. You might even end up counting more votes than there are registered voters in the state. Better to eke out a narrow win. As Joseph Kennedy, Sr. allegedly said to his second son, “I’m not paying for a landslide.”

The thing could (but will never) be proved. Those who ran the operation are also in charge of all the potential investigating agencies. There’s zero chance they will use any of that power to uncover their own malfeasance. Think a Biden Justice Department will look into it?

Expect instead a media typhoon of propaganda insisting that the results are all legit, that any anomaly you think you see (or saw) is a “conspiracy theory,” or at any rate innocently explainable by mundane process details too boring to get into. Twitter is already slapping warnings on the accounts of those who point out irregularities. How long before they start outright suspensions?

Will it work? That depends on the president and his allies and what they do. The odds and the forces arrayed against them are immense.

What would I have them do? I’m no expert but the crew at Revolver has some good ideas: (1) challenge the late-night “finds” in the courts; (2) hold rallies in contested states; (3) urge GOP officials in close states to expose shenanigans and, if necessary, to refuse to seat Biden electors in the event of a fake count; (4) mount a campaign to marshal grassroots public opinion in the president’s favor. Convince the people that if in fact the election is in the process of being stolen, the president and his allies are going to fight the steal on their behalf. If middle America wants to prevent this election from being stolen, it will have to be willing to act—now. I know they are willing, but they need to hear from the President and his best surrogates. I’d get Trump on Tucker, tonight, to explain his plan.

But in another sense, the Democrats’ plan won’t “work.” Even if the steal can be made to stick, half the country won’t accept it. That is, they’ll accept the reality that power is now in the hands of a party that took it by fraud. But they won’t believe that the election was fair or the outcome real. They will believe, or be confirmed in a belief that’s been brewing for a long time, that the system is rigged, the process is fake, the ruling class are liars, the government is illegitimate, and that they themselves are subjects and not citizens—anything but a free people with a say over its own destiny. If the ruling class can get away with this, they will be able to get away with anything. And they will know it.

And they will be perfectly correct about all that too, every last word of it. In fact, we’re even further down the rabbit hole than we think.

Voter fraud is happening right now. We all know it; one would be hard pressed to find a single American on either side of the aisle who would not acknowledge that it’s taking place. Around half the country realizes (or is willing to admit) it’s happening in favor of Democrats, but very few realize just how deep this particular rabbit hole goes.

Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney does. The retired military man has kept his finger on the pulse of the intelligence community and national politics since retiring in 1994. He’s not alone in this regard, but what separates him from other retired military personnel is that his love for the nation and oath to the Constitution compel him to speak out even when he knows it will get him some heat. That heat will be coming based on his revelations in the latest episode of Two Mikes.

A CIA program known as “Scorecard” allows its users to change voting outcomes by hacking into the transfer between local reporting stations and state or national data centers. According to McInerney, it’s a small amount, under 3%, to keep it from triggering any alarms. He would know. He served in top military positions under the Secretary of Defense and the Vice President of the United States. His insights into the matter are coming at just the right time with election day tomorrow. Hopefully, it’s not too late.

It’s imperative that President Trump and whoever he can trust implicitly to look for signs of “Scorecard” being used in swing states. Lt. Col. McInerney says it can be traced. If the left is stealing this election, we need to catch them red-handed.

Done and done, dude. So…what next? Sefton asks an even more burning question:

We also have Miranda Devine insisting “the Dems will not get away with this” as well as the outstanding Michael Anton stating “It will all go according to plan — unless we stop it.” Well, Mr. Anton I am open to suggestions. To my mind, the only way to do that requires the five or six armored or airborne divisions to seize the statehouses and legislatures in question, arrest every damned Democrat in sight, seize all the ballots and/or thumbdrives (evidently that’s a thing in Michigan) and declare Donald J. Trump as the winner based on the real projections at about the time on Tuesday night when the Chinese yuan crashed.

And since that is probably not going to happen except in my mind, I don’t know really what can be done. The whole thing is now a hot mess of phony ballots, real ballots and the rules and regulations of six states, some of them changed literally almost at the last second before election day to make it impossible to reject clearly bogus ballots. How are the courts or Supreme Court going to clear that up, assuming we have a majority that wants to do so?

Look, for better or worse, in elections past when things did not go the way I wanted, I swallowed, bit the bullet and then moved on. But I never thought in a billion billion years that the American system of free and fair elections would ever be anything but that. And here we are, on par with Zimbabwe in 1980, or Mexico for nearly 100 years with the PRI (which is indeed where we are headed). Yes, the average Democrat voter is upset about what happened NOT because their party sabotaged the election but that they did not get the clear victory they were promised. And now, if Trump does in fact survive this not-so-soft coup attempt, it will further tear the country apart. Not that there is any love lost between the Left and America as founded (or what vestige is left of it). Funny how if Trump does win the shrieking about how the Constitution was ignored or destroyed will be deafening. Ironic, and disgusting at the same time.

It’s one thing when the thug terrorists of Antifa/BLM say “by any means necessary.” It’s quite another when what is supposed to be one of the two major American political parties says it as well and takes it to heart. They lost this election. They know they lost this election. Worse for them, they have lost a good chunk of their base – the disaffected, disenfranchised and so-called “marginalized” “victims” ironically enough who are that way because of Democrat policies. The Deep State machinations of power, thievery and perversion wrapped in privilege also took a massive hit insofar as it was exposed to the people. They lost this election months ago if not a year ago before the phony pandemic hit. They lost it when Trump stated to their faces and for the whole world to see on January 20th, 2017 when he promised to drain the swamp.

But the swamp is wide and it is deep, as we have now seen. So I ask Ms. Devine and Messrs. Goldman and Anton, who are no doubt sincere in their words, yes let’s fight back and not let this happen.

The question is “HOW?”

At first glance, the answer might not seem at all obvious or simple. But it is, even though the actions required to implement it would be difficult and painful. Via WeirdDave, the inspiring story of the Battle of Athens shows us the way.

Athens is the seat of McMinn County, which, at the time, was the nerve center for Sheriff Paul Cantrell, a major lieutenant of a corrupt Democratic machine which stretched from Tennessee to the District of Columbia. Though we will eschew labeling Cantrell or his machine politics “evil,” as this was simply the way things were done in many American polities, it is worth noting that before and especially during the Second World War, Cantrell presided over corruption and graft on an industrial scale. As Chris DeRose details, the Sheriff drew salaries of nearly sixty thousand dollars per year over his first six years that were worth well over one million dollars in today’s purchasing power. He was also appointed superintendent of the county workhouse for an additional salary of over two thousand dollars; DeRose notes that “McMinn County did not have a workhouse, making its superintending easy.” This at a time when the median Tennessee home was worth less than two thousand dollars and the starting salary for enlisted men was fifty dollars per month. Despite strict rationing, McMinn machine men never wanted for cars, tires, or fuel. Illegal casinos, speakeasies, and whorehouses payed thousands of dollars per month in protection money. Dozens of county employees were listed on the payrolls for the sole purpose of providing cover for a vast money laundering operation.

There were no “elections” in McMinn County through the war years. The ballot boxes were in Democratic offices, and Cantrell’s deputies served as the election officers, some of whom were brutal killers with the blood of innocent civilians on their hands. Other local thugs and felons were on hand to further inculcate the climate of fear, including a man who murdered his own father and, five months after the election, murdered his sister-in-law, an expectant mother, and an infant child. There were about two gunmen for each voter; DeRose further illuminates the chicanery, noting that some voters were temporarily imprisoned to prevent them from voting, while others had their poll tax receipts and eligibility certificates invalidated, “in some cases by the very official who had issued them.” Word was put out among elderly voters that their pensions would be held up unless they voted “the right way.” When the Republican election judge, a disabled veteran of the First World War, attempted to view the ballot count, he was dragged into the corridor and beaten, leaving him paralyzed. Another man who attempted to observe the ballot count was pistol-whipped, and one gunman fired at a poll worker who tried to leave the courthouse.

Several Athenians petitioned the Department of Justice for relief, knowing that local and State officials would not take any action against the machine. A hardware store owner wrote Attorney General Francis Biddle, imploring, “The good people of this county are sacrificing for the cause of America’s freedom but have lost their freedom at home. Both parties have lost the freedom of the ballot box, a dictatorship has been set up, the county treasury is being raided at the expense of the taxpayers, and the good people of this county would like to sell their property and move away. Your department is our last line of defense. Please, for God’s sake come to the rescue of a helpless people.” A minister wrote to Biddle of “a ruthless exploitation at the hands of unscrupulous men who sacrifice public liberties for the sake of private gain…nothing has been considered too low if it will enable them to perpetuate themselves in office. Decent citizens feared to bring their wives to the polls, and often felt it unwise to cast their own ballots…It is not possible for a letter to contain information concerning all the subversive and unscrupulous activities that have taken place in this county.”

In a sadly unsurprising echo of the situation today, the DoJ filed a report, then sat back and did nothing. However, since in 1946 Americans were still Americans, that was by no means the end of the story. A group of just-returned WW2 vets led by local hero Bill White put together a bipartisan slate of candidates for office, the “Ex-Serviceman’s Cleanup Ticket for McMinn County”:

As C. Stephen Byrum notes, the GI ticket was superior to the machine’s, “by any rules of logic,” comprised of men “young and old, Democratic and Republican, city and country, all veterans, all battle-tested, and all highly thought of.” The local Republican Party resolved to officially endorse the veterans’ ticket instead of running its own candidates; after seconding the motion in favor of the resolution, one party official delivered an excellent summation: “We are involved in a conflict with desperate enemies who have sought to subject us to tyranny and oppression…We feel a deep sense of obligation and now seek in measure to repay…Young men who have fought against oppression abroad will continue that fight for honesty and decency at home.” Amid a campaign of harassment and violence to silence them, the GIs persisted. Bill White, the most prescient of the group, felt that his compatriots were being naïve, arguing that they had to organize a “fighting bunch.” “Listen,” he said. “Do you think they’re going to let you win this election? Those people been taking these elections for years with a bunch of armed thugs. If you never got the guts enough to stand up and fight fire with fire, you ain’t gonna win.”

The Demonrat crooks and thugs stood their ground at first against the GIs on election day: beating some of the GIs; jailing others; ejecting poll watchers and holding them hostage; and even stealing the town’s 12 ballot boxes, locking them up in various locations under their control. Things looked bad for a while, the GIs confused and uncertain about what their next move ought to be. Then Bill White rallied his troops with a stirring speech.

Well! Here you are! After three or four years of fighting for your country. You survived it all. You came back. And what did you come back to? A free country? You came back to Athens, Tennessee, in McMinn County, that’s run by a bunch of outlaws. They’ve got hired gunmen all over this county right now at this minute. What for? One purpose. To scare you so bad you won’t dare stand up for the rights you’ve been bleeding and dying for. Some of your mothers and some of your sisters are afraid to walk down the streets to the polling places. Lots of men, too! Because they know what happens. A car drives by in the night and shoots out your windows. If that doesn’t scare you enough, they’ll set fire to your house or your barn. They’ll beat up members of your family and put them in jail. For no reason! Is that the kind of freedom you were supposed to be fighting for? Do you know what your rights are supposed to be? How many rights have you got left? None! Not even the right to vote in a free election. When you lose that, you’ve lost everything. And you are damned well going to lose it unless you fight and fight the only way they understand. Fire with fire! We’ve got to make this an honest election because we promised the people that if they voted it would be an honest election. And it’s going to be. But only if we see that it is. We are going to have to run these organized criminals out of town, and we can do it if we stick together. Are you afraid of them? Why, I could take a banana stalk and run every one of these potbellied draft dodgers across Depot Hill. Get the hell out of here and get something to shoot with. And come back as fast as you can.

Guess what happened next. Go on, guess. Hint: Thompson subguns, a German Mauser, a .30 cal M1917 machine gun, and “an enormous stockpile of dynamite” were involved. The happy ending:

The next day, a reporter noticed that the GI guarding the jail was armed only with a blackjack, with no gun in sight. He asked why, and the young veteran replied, “Don’t need a gun today. That’s what all the shootin’ was about last night.” Indeed. Knox Henry was sworn in as Sheriff, declaring: “We have accomplished what we started out to do. We’ve broken the grip of the political machine that has ruled McMinn County for ten years without regard as to the wishes of the people in how their government was to be run. When I say we, I mean the other GIs on the nonpartisan cleanup ticket and the citizens of McMinn County who helped us win the battle. We regret that the gunfight at the jail had to happen…Our only alternative was to use force…there will be no trouble of this kind at the next election. Any person who can qualify for an office may run with the full assurance of an honest election and the people will have nothing to fear when they go to the polls on Election Day.” Henry needed a whole new team of deputies, and pinned a star on Bill White. Almost immediately, they carried out raids on the moonshiners and bootleggers who had enjoyed the protection of the vanquished machine.

Letters inundated the local papers, with messages of encouragement such as: “To the GI Patriots, Athens, Tennessee: Thank you indeed for restoring the faith in America which so many of us had lost. Keep pitching and firing when necessary.”; “We have chicken-stealers and hog-stealers! House-stealers and auto-stealers! Major Carl Anderson, one of the heroes of the Battle of Athens, distills our lesson in its purest form: “Before you go, I want to say that I hope that our country, especially those places that are as boss ridden as we were, will take hope from what we have accomplished here. I think we have shown how to clean out those dirty nests. Anyway, we’ve done it.” These Southern heroes, Dixie incarnate, took back their town. Let us now take back our nation.

By all means, let’s. The soap box and the ballot box have failed us. The jury box may yet come through and avert bloodshed, although the early indicators there aren’t encouraging. Should it too fail, there’s only the one box left to us: the very same one that was used to liberate Athens, Tennessee from Democrat corruption and criminality way back in ’46. May God grant that this generation of Americans proves to be as stout-hearted and indomitable as their Tennessee forefathers were, in numbers sufficient to turn the Dismal Tide.



Dereliction of duty

The dereliction I mean was not theirs. It was ours.

Over the past two days I’ve been composing a post in my head. Tonight I get home and, preparatory to pulling my thoughts together for a post, I check in beforehand on some of my daily (or several times daily, actually) blog stops, WRSA always being one of the very first among those. So what to my wondering eyes should appear but the two images below, which pretty much say everything I was thinking of saying, only way more concisely. So as to preserve readability for the geezer-types among us, I’ll keep them at their original size instead of shrinking ’em down, and stash ’em both below the fold. Don’t let that prevent you from clicking the link and checking them out, though; trust me, you NEED to see these, folks. You really do.

Thank you President Donald Trump, today I voted for you.

Thank you for providing me, us, my friends and family, an opportunity to vote for a person who relentlessly and tirelessly has worked for all of us.

Thank you (for) putting on that bullet-proof vest, working and campaigning on behalf of all Americans.

Thank you to First Lady Melania Trump for giving up the privacy of a very comfortable life to support you, help us, and represent our nation with class and impeccable distinction.

Long ago we accepted the geography of this battle. We knew the campaign and presidency was going to get ugly on many levels. You knew it too – yet, you did it anyway.

You have confronted a body of globalist political elites both at home and abroad. We know there are trillions of dollars at stake, and significant power over world events hanging in the balance. We knew you would be attacked. You knew it too – yet, you did it anyway.

As a nation we are not disconnected from fully comprehending the issues at hand. Most are fully aware of the fraud, scheme, manipulative lying and corrupt propaganda inbound from every entity who holds a vested interest in your elimination.

You knew that too – yet, you stepped-up anyway.

We fully understand the scope of media hatred perpetuating a fraud which is occurring on a grand scale. We are well versed in the machinations and schemes of the interests you have faced. We are aware and clear eyed to the hate expressed by your opposition. You knew that would come too – yet, you did it anyway.

We refined our understanding based on prior years of confrontation; essentially training ourselves amid the various battlefields controlled by the very powers established to see your removal. The swamp is vile. You knew that – yet, you did it anyway.

And should Trump somehow lose this thing, it will establish clearly that not merely an election but America That Was itself is indeed lost. In fact, it’s probably been gone for a good bit longer than some of us may have realized. Not that that realization, painful as it is, calls for a lapse into despair, mind. But it DOES strongly suggest the necessity of a redirection, a course correction, in terms of vision, ambition, and action.

In the end, no matter which way the election goes, it still comes down to the same thing. Really, it probably always will.

Cultural Superiority isn’t Racism: Why Western Values Underpin the World’s Best Countries
Whether or not Western values are “superior” to other value systems is entirely reliant upon what one considers to be the ideal results for a society. Honest and good people have disagreements on this topic. However, we believe that in the West, there is a general, broad agreement on what constitutes a “good” result for society best summed up by two principles: freedom and fairness.

Freedom and fairness are, in fact, two ideas that are in tension with one another because they are often mutually contradictory. What makes one man free might be unfair in a meaningful sense to another. Indeed, the left-right spectrum in the United States and the Anglosphere might be described as the Party of Freedom (for example, the Republicans) versus the Party of Fairness (in this case, the Democrats).

Both of these values are important to everyone to varying degrees. The resolution of this tension – drawing the line at some point between fairness and freedom – is effectively what our entire civilization is about. It is about maximizing results for the greatest number of people, creating a society that is as fair as it can possibly be while minimally infringing on the rights of individuals.

In a word, Western values can be described as “liberalism” in the sense that John Stuart Mill and John Locke would have understood the term. While there are coherent and important arguments about the limitations of liberalism on both the left and the right, both sides of the political spectrum have thus far failed to offer an alternative to classical liberalism that provides the same degree of generalized prosperity and individual liberty that Western civilization has provided using classical liberalism as its de facto political ideology.

If one believes that freedom and fairness are not important, this doesn’t mean much. However, most Americans and most Westerners believe, whether they are aware of this specific description or not, that freedom and fairness are important and perhaps the most important values that a society can aspire to.

What’s more, we believe that these values are directly responsible for the material prosperity and plenty that characterizes these societies. Individuals are able to pursue happiness in their own way and, for the most part, retain the fruits of their labor. This creates motivation for innovations that raise the standard of living across the board, from top to bottom.

Has there ever in all of history been another belief system that took so much for granted, while offering little or nothing of value for counterpoint, than modern Left/liberalism?
