Ask a silly question Part the Eighty Bajillion And Eleventh

Man, I really gotta start properly keeping up with the numbers on these “silly question” posts of mine, instead of just making ‘em up as I go along.

Spaniards Aren’t Afraid To Protest, So Why Are American Conservatives?

Hmmm, lemmesee now: because they’re aware that they have an overly powerful enemy in Amerika v2.0’s FBI/Stasi/Waffen SS, and will surely be summarily pronounced guilty—without benefit of legal representation, formal indictment, or trial by jury—of multiple counts of the Sacred Democracy™-annihilating Secret Felony of “unarmed parading with aggravated counter-revolutionary intent” and end up Goo(g)lagged as “violent insurrectionists” if they do?

Tens of thousands of protesters have flooded city streets across Spain since October in sustained demonstrations opposing a socialist takeover of the Spanish government. Protesters are showing their opposition toward an amnesty deal between Spain’s socialist President Pedro Sánchez and treasonous Catalan separatists, who violated the Spanish constitution in 2017 by attempting to secede from Spain. By striking a deal to free incarcerated and exiled Spanish criminals, Sánchez was able to secure a third term in power.

The protests are organized by Spain’s conservative People’s Party and Vox, its further right, populist party. In an interview between Vox President Santiago Abascal and Tucker Carlson last week, Abascal explained that the amnesty deal is a crime “against the constitution” and “national unity.”

But the massive demonstrations are not just in defense of the Spanish Constitution, Abascal explained; they’re about what an illegal third Sánchez term means for Spain, namely a failing Spanish economy, two-tier justice, mass illegal immigration from Muslim countries, speech policing, globalism, the demonization of Spanish history, and loss of Spanish identity.

The problems faced by Spaniards are strikingly similar to those facing Americans. The American left hates our heritage so much they torched American cities and destroyed historical statues and monuments for an entire summer. Our corrupt president, Joe Biden, was able to take power thanks to a rigged election, and his administration has weaponized the federal government against his most prominent political adversary, former President Donald Trump, and anyone in ideological opposition to the Democrats.

Using fear and intimidation, the left is scaring conservatives into giving up their freedom to assemble. One of the primary fear tactics is to severely punish those who, on Jan. 6, 2021, opted to protest Democrat’s election-rigging practices, such as mass mail-in balloting and Big Tech censorship. As newly-released Jan. 6 footage further reveals, many of the Jan. 6 protesters accused of rioting were peaceful.

Conservatives aren’t just afraid — they’re also hopeless. After witnessing the Marxist race riots of 2020 and the erasure of their civil liberties during Covid, many Americans no longer recognize their homeland.

Spain Understands The Stakes

Spain has first-hand experience with communism. When communists controlled Spain, both in the lead-up to and during the civil war in the 1930s, it resulted in the persecution of Spanish intellectuals, clerics, and Christian laypeople.

Spanish communists began their anti-Christian hate by banning all religious schools, removing crucifixes from classrooms, and deeming all religious marriages invalid in the eyes of the state. Eventually, they started burning Catholic Churches and mass executing Catholic religious and laypeople. Property rights were thrown out, and conservatives were unjustly convicted in kangaroo courts and executed.

In America, we are blessed not to know. However, that blessing is also a curse. We don’t appreciate how easily a free nation can fall into tyranny. Unable to oppose or even recognize tyranny, younger generations have lost touch with the American revolutionary spirit after sending generations of Americans to spend their formative years in reeducation camps run by cultural Marxists (aka public school and the university system).

Perhaps a way to regain America’s lost fortitude is by watching conservative freedom fighters in Spain. We may not have the national memory of communists burying priests alive or defiling and decapitating nuns, but we can look to Spain for motivation.

Indeed, the Spanish protests should inspire Americans, and Spanish history should be a warning. If we resign ourselves to failure or allow ourselves to be intimidated into silence, the consequences will be nothing short of complete national destruction.

After having been unequivocally and repeatedly schooled, in writing no less, by their own Founding Fathers in all anyone should ever need to know about the subject, if American conservatives don’t appreciate fully by now “how easily a free nation can fall into tyranny”—if they don’t understand the warning provided by not only contemporary Spanish history but more than a century’s historical experience with communism all over the planet—then American conservatives are just too fucking stupid to live, and richly deserve what they’re going to get.

Forget Spain; OUR OWN history, heritage, and powers of observation should provide more than sufficient inspiration to fight the menace of insidious Communism with every ounce of our strength, to our last dying breath. It’s a mark of the Left’s total success at penetrating, taking over, and perverting our education/indoctrination apparat entire that we should need to be reminded of that absolute imperative.

It’s incomprehensible to me that, to our eternal disgrace, we should remain lackadaisical about offering much in the way of meaningful resistance to the damnable Commies, much less openly denounce and defy them, much less take any action against them more effective than sotto voce grumbling amongst our fellows, then scurrying on out to VOAT HARDERER AT THEM!!!© just one more time.

Guess that would be downright uncouth of us, eh? Sometimes, despair can come to feel like the only sensible option in light of all this.

The one and only example Real American patriots need look to and follow is the one set by our illustrious, heroic forefathers. Every day, in every way, let them be our mentors, our inspiration, our spiritual guides. Without them, we are lost. We all know full well what those men would be doing in our situation right about now.

Then again, we also know they’d never have let things slide to such a dire extent that they’d find themselves in our situation in the first place. They’d consider such straits as these to be utterly intolerable, a lowly condition which no proud, self-respecting American man could ever even think of enduring without acting to avenge the insult and redeem his personal honor and dignity—promptly, vigorously, in a fashion brusque enough to preclude any possibility of misinterpretation or mistake.

Part of the problem

Let’s don’t and say we did.

Lawmakers call for investigation into J6 committee following release of security footage
Republican lawmakers are calling for investigations into a House committee and its members after the release of security footage that captured the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas and Sen. Mike Lee of Utah called for the investigation of the now-defunct United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack, which determined that the riot was an attempted coup by then-President Trump. They said the tapes present a much different view of the chaos at the Capitol that day.

“The J6 committee was a sham,” Mr. Nehls said on X. “I knew it then. Everyone knows it now. Let’s investigate the investigators.”

Yeah, no. It’s just another stall, just another subterfuge, just another waste of time. The newly-released footage constitutes more-than-adequate proof, no further Congressional futzing about with mumble-mumble “investigation” required. Let’s hang the fucking treasonous bastards responsible for the plain, simple, and obvious coup instead. At the very, very least, lock all the NeverTrumpTard/Deep State traitors up and throw the fucking key down a DC sewer drain. In any event, the Goo(g)lagged J6 political prisoners must all be released forthwith. Nothing less will suffice, and that’s still only the first small step.

There’s a reason this incontrovertible documentation confirming high crimes and/or misdemeanors with malice aforethought at the highest levels of the federal government has been suppressed for lo, these past three years. That reason has now been exposed beyond further argumentation, fully and forever.

Yes, yes, I realize that in Amerika v2.0 treason is no longer a punishable offense, hasn’t been for a good many years now. So what? That’s a YUUUGE explanatory factor behind how we reached this sorry pass in the first damned place, perhaps the primary one. Which hurls the biggest question of all directly into our collective face: Are we serious about rectifying that, or are we not?

Time to either shit or get off the pot, seems to me—of course and as always, YMMV. Whatever may transpire from here, no Real American needs to be force-fed any more intelligence-insulting pap from Congresscritters, thenksveddymuch.

“This isn’t science. It’s fraud”

Quelle surprise.

With only 9 months of reporting data, NOAA was already able to announce “Hottest Year Ever.” But to be fair, they knew well in advance that their data would show 2023 to be the hottest year ever, not only because NOAA “adjusts” much of the data they gather, but even more shockingly, because they fabricate much of the rest of the data inputs from decommissioned stations!

Meteorologist John Shewchuk has been researching NOAA’s hundreds of “ghost stations.” These are climate stations that were once in operation, but aren’t any longer. They might have been removed, or maybe they just quit operating and were never repaired, but NOAA continues to fabricate estimate temperature data for these formerly operational stations.

It gets even worse. As I’ll show in just a moment, aside from the fabricated reports from the USHCN ghost stations, NOAA adjusts the actual readings from stations that are still functioning, to support the climate hoax.

The table immediately below from the Belle Glade station is much simpler to read than it looks, and it reveals both types of fraud that NOAA is committing: 1) the adjustment of temperature data; and 2) the fabrication of temperature data.

In blue is the actual Raw data produced by the Belle Glade station until it went dark in 2005. Each row represents a year, for instance the first year is 2000. The 12 numbers that follow are the 12 average monthly temperatures for that station, shown as Celsius x 100. Therefore, the average temperature in January 2000 was 25.12° Celsius. In February 2000 the average temperature was 25.50° Celsius. (-9999 means that no reading was recorded.)

Below that table in red is the official NOAA temperature data, where two things stand out.

1) NOAA has adjusted the actual Raw data. That 25.12°C temperature for January 2000 was warmed up to 25.21°C. February 2000 was similarly adjusted from 25.50°C to 25.60°C.

2) Despite Belle Glade going offline in 2005, NOAA continues to report temperature data for that imaginary station. The “E” by the temperature indicates that this is an estimated temperature, however, that estimate is still included in the official temperature record.

With NOAA’s history of anti-scientific fraud, it should be assumed at this point that any data NOAA publishes is a fabrication.

My previous documentation of NOAA’s fraud was the progenitor of a commenter’s quote that gave birth to Throckmorton’s Razor and Minuteman’s Corollary:

Throckmorton’s Razor: “Assume that any authority which has previously provided false data is always acting dishonestly.”

Minuteman’s Corollary: “Discount everything a liar says in his argument, even if it may support your position.”

NOAA has so thoroughly compromised its integrity with its pattern of politically motivated fraud, that not only do I not believe its reporting of temperatures or tropical storm wind speeds any longer, but I don’t even trust it to accurately report the dew point. Every piece of weather data produced by NOAA should be assumed to be fraudulent.

It most certainly should, right along with any and every other syllable shat forth from any and every FederalGovCo “scientist,” “expert,” or spokescritter’s filthy maw. It’s a sad, sorry state of affairs, and an awful fix for Real Americans to find themselves in, but it also happens to be the plain and simple truth.

Your FBI© is ON THE CASE

Why does this corrupt, heavily politicized, contra-Constitutional FedGovCo agency even exist anymore?

No wait, don’t answer that one. Pretty sure I already know, thanks.

The FBI Halted Probe Of Pedophile To Focus On January 6. Now He’s Accused Of Abusing A 10-Year-Old Boy.
Alleged pervert sent undercover FBI agent video of “a prepubescent minor male being anally penetrated by an adult male’s erect penis,” but “On January 6, 2021, FBI, Washington Field Office [decided] this investigation was halted due to events that occurred at the United States Capitol Building that day.”

“Alleged.” I like that. “Alleged.”

On January 6, 2021, the FBI explicitly chose to abandon a sting on a child pornographer in Virginia who was messaging with an undercover agent about having sex with a nine-year-old boy, opting instead to focus on prosecuting Donald Trump’s supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol. Less than three years later, the FBI discovered the same man living in Alaska where he appears to have been performing sex acts on a 10-year-old boy, according to court documents.

On December 2, 2020, an internet user with the screen name “gayboy69freak” messaged an undercover agent with the FBI’s Washington Field Office, who was posing as a father pimping out his 9-year-old son, and told him that he wanted to travel to D.C. to have sex with the boy. The man also sent the agent a video of “a prepubescent minor male being anally penetrated by an adult male’s erect penis.” His IP address led the FBI to Brogan Welsh of Glenn Allen, Virginia.

What appears to be a slam-dunk case against a child predator was abruptly abandoned just one month later.

“On January 6, 2021, FBI, Washington Field Office, [decided] this investigation was halted due to events that occurred at the United States Capitol Building that day,” .

The man was only arrested, and the court documents only filed, because Welsh moved to Alaska and crossed the Anchorage FBI’s radar in an unrelated perversion investigation. On October 24, 2023, after coming across troubling chats from Welsh on a phone they seized from a different alleged pervert, Alaska FBI agents went into his house and “located items including sex toys that are very small in size and apparently consistent with the body size of an approximate 10-year-old boy,” as well as children’s underwear.

“The investigation has revealed that a 10-year-old boy was, in fact, residing at the residence belonging to Welsh,” the agents wrote.

Utterly, utterly sickening. If I was that little boy’s father, I’d be seriously considering a little slam-dunk action of my own—something that most certainly wouldn’t involve cases, lawyers, or the judicial system. Well, except maybe after I was done.

The “climate change” Trojan Horse

In this as in everything else, it’s never really about what they tell you it is.

I have thoroughly debunked the idea of man-made climate change in previous articles and I won’t be spending time on that here. Instead, I want to examine the end goal of climate change policies – The ultimate solution, which is NOT to save the planet, but to dominate the populace.

The names used for the climate change “reset” vary, but it is often referred to by globalists and the UN as Agenda 2030 or Sustainable Development Goals. These programs wear a facade of environmentalism but they are ALL rooted in economics. That is to say, all climate change efforts exist to destroy industry and trade and establish a government/corporate partnership to dominate production. Climate change is a Trojan Horse to introduce authoritarianism.

I believe one of the most important aspects of Agenda 2030 for globalists is something called the “15 Minute City”; a project which involves hundreds of city mayors from across the US, Europe and Asia working closely with groups like the World Economic Forum. Any mention of this idea in a negative light and the media erupts with anger as well as mockery as if it’s not a real issue worthy of debate.

The establishment paints an interesting picture of 15 Minute Cities – A Utopian future in which everything you need is only a short walk away and private transportation is superfluous (or banned). You might even live in mega-complex, much like a giant mall where you also work. You could spend months within one square mile of space, never having to leave for anything.

It’s no mistake that this idea was pushed hard during the pandemic lockdowns. The public was awash in fear propaganda over a virus with a 99.8% survival rate and that fear made the unthinkable idea of staying at home all the time suddenly thinkable. Media pundits continue to call the connection between covid lockdowns and climate lockdowns a conspiracy theory, but the idea is openly admitted in UN and WEF white papers.

Some people argue that most cities are already “15 Minute Cities” with necessities all within walking distance of their homes. These folks don’t understand what a 15 Minute City really is. As numerous establishment descriptions of the project note, it’s not just about convenience or close access, it’s about changing every aspect of our current philosophy of living. It’s not about gaining amenities, it’s about making an array of sacrifices in order to appease the gods of carbon emissions.

The 15 Minute City is more like a recipe, containing every single ingredient of the climate change and covid lockdown agendas in a single comprehensive Orwellian vision. It includes removing motor vehicles, removing private transportation and roads, smart city and AI monitoring of each person’s electricity usage, monitoring of product consumption and “carbon footprint”, biometric surveillance within a compact and stacked urban landscape, the cashless society concept, equity and inclusion cultism, population control, etc.

It is the culmination, the end game; a massive prison with no bars. A place where you are conditioned to grow accustomed to artificial limitations on privacy, no civil liberties, no private property, and no work options or mobility. You are tied to the land and the land is owned by the state (or corporation). If you want a historic comparison, the closest I can find is the feudal system of Medieval Europe.

It’s important to understand that these compact cities will not be designed for your comfort. They will not be designed so that you can have all the amenities you have today closer to your fingertips while also providing “sustainability.” That’s how the globalists try to sell it, but that’s not what it will be. Rather, these cities will be designed to better CONTROL you, so that you can be forced to make the sacrifices they say are necessary for sustainability to be possible.

They are erroneously billed as “decentralized communities,” but they are the exact opposite – They are utterly centralized, like a hamster cage where you are the pet. The core philosophy behind them is dependency. If you live in a place which is specifically constructed to eliminate your ability to provide for yourself, then you are a slave. Though, to be sure, even slavery can be made to look noble if people are convinced that their chains are necessary for the good of the planet.

Thanks to these bloated, endlessly grabby, monstrously-powerful governments, the world becomes a scarier, more threatening place with every passing day, don’t it? Why, it’s almost as if the Founding Fathers actually knew whereof they spoke when they so vehemently warned future generations against the dangers of permitting their central goobermint to outgrow the box it originally came in or something.

Lisa Liberal splutters hysterically: but…but…but…HOW COULD THEY POSSIBLY HAVE FORESEEN (fully semi-automatic assault weapon riflepistol guns at every WalMart, available for purchase by any man, woman, or child with no background check, waiting period, permit, or registration required AT ALL, EVER/unlimited-capacity self-reloading magazine clips/Cop Killer bullets/shoulder thingy that goes up/heat-seeking .50 caliber incendiary rounds/GAIA-raping ICE automobiles/rural electrification/deadly gas ranges/insert Leftard bugbear of the month HERE)?!?

Will, or the lack thereof

Pursuant to today’s Eyrie outing, TL has a few thoughts.

It occurs to me that there is a lot easier way to deal with illegal immigration than we have tried so far. Trump implemented something like this with his “Remain in Mexico” policy. Granted, the reason the US has been unsuccessful in stopping illegal immigration comes not from a lack of ability or understanding of how to build a wall, but from the lack of desire. The regime in power wants to dilute the strident patriotism of the average American. After several generations of working away at the elementary school level to erode love of country with propaganda, the communists have thrown in the towel and went for straight importation of foreign nationals to accelerate the timeline to 2024.

For those few who still seek to end illegal immigration, one way of achieving that is to bill the nation of origin for the accommodation of their illegals in the United States. One proposal is to charge a hosting fee. For every 10,000 citizens of another nation that has slithered their way into the US, $5 billion per year would be billed to the home country.

I understand the temptation to jump on this proposal immediately for all of the obvious flaws, but taking those into account one has to understand the dynamics of the proposal.

Of course, they would refuse to pay it. That goes without saying, but that’s part of it. What happens when they don’t pay? The bill keeps doubling every year. As the famous quip goes: “A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.”

The liable nations would claim that it’s the job of the United States to prevent people from getting into their nation illegally and that’s true, but the organized caravans in those other nations were intended to, and did, overwhelm the US efforts to patrol their border. These are not ones and twos, perhaps a family here and there.

The NGOs operating the bases and organizing the caravans do so with the blessing of those nations, in conjunction with cartels. They, too, should shoulder some of the burden and pay part of that $5 billion. It’s up to the host nation to extract it from them.

Personally, I’d start fining the NGOs $1 million per week until they ceased.

I like it. I like it a lot.

But what accounting is done? How would someone know where the people came from in order to bill the appropriate nation? Simple, whatever passport they have, that’s who gets billed. What if they have no passport, it got lost, or damaged? We’ll take their word for it. If they say they are Mexican, for example, we’ll accept that. That’s the border they crossed, wasn’t it? That would be the natural assumption and we wouldn’t want to be racist. Just because they look Somalian, that doesn’t mean we should leap to the conclusion that they aren’t Mexican.

When it comes to asylum-seekers it’s even easier. The nation of origin is documented, it has to be to do the paperwork. Also, the nation of origin made conditions such that these people felt the need to leave. Now, if we were Obfuscatistan, we might not be able to impose such a hosting fee on these nations, but we’re not, we’re the United States. We have diplomatic pressure, economic pressure, trade pressure, foreign aid to be withheld to pay the debts. We have all sorts of ways to enforce it.

What we do not have, is the will. The whole idea of freedom of speech is to force the government to have the will. Ultimately, that’s what the United States Constitution is all about. Through several different means, especially the Bill of Rights, we were given the ability to force government to do the people’s will. All of the machinations of government over the past several decades has been designed to eliminate that from the system. That’s no reason to give up. You have to fight to keep your voice. You shouldn’t have to, but you do.

True, dat. Read the rest of it; there’s a plethora of excellent ideas to mull over here, and I couldn’t agree more with every word—which is almost always the case with TL, at least for me.

It occurs to me that what surely underpins the ennui and lack of will he’s talking about is something we might dub Everyman’s Despair: the deep, abiding sense of hopelessness; the strong suspicion that no matter what Joe Lunchpail might do or say, he will never climb out from under the crushing weight of his own oppression. FederalGovCo is just too big; agencies like the FBI, the CIA, the DEA/ATF, the IRS, et al are just too tenaciously entrenched and empowered to dare oppose, lest the Swamp do to him what they’re even now doing to those poor J6 “insurrectionists.”

Is Joe wrong in that enervating assumption? I only wish I could say he was; at present, alas, I cannot. He’s roundly mocked and derided for being complacent, apathetic, or even cowardly, but if he seeks refuge in his weekend grill-out, watching the Big Game on TeeWee over a case of cheap suds, and tries as hard as he can to ignore politics altogether—to just keep his head down, his ass covered, and his mouth shut—is it really fair to blame him for it?

When your government has openly declared itself your enemy you’re in a really bad fix, no mistake about it.

Amygdala Fever

I said from the very start that once We Duh Sheeple accepted The Mask Of Submission, we’d never be rid of the blasted bacteria-traps. Bad Cat examines why I was right, and how it came to pass that the MOS would blight American lives and liberty forever.

of masks and masquarades
how pushing the idea of “duty” onto others engenders rage and helplessness

i think it’s always going to be with us. the damage was too deep and there is a certain sort of person who is just never going to let it go.

because this was their happy place.

i think the mask-querade really came down to one potent messaging mantra repeated endlessly until it broke brains and shunted aside critical faculties thereby becoming endlessly integrated into medical mythology:

“your mask protects me.”

“your mask protects me” was made up science but it was phenomenal propaganda.

this pseudo-moralistic psyop probably cannot ever be cured among the anxious and authority craving. it was just too perfect.

this pervasive propaganda essentially reframed the issue of wearing masks from being a “choice” into being a “duty.” that’s powerful stuff.

that’s how you take away the perception of freedom to act.

it’s also how you give everyone who complies permission to attack those who do not comply.

“why are you threatening me!”

it turns your aspirations toward autonomy into perceived assault on/by others. in this, it represents the perfect way to pit society against itself and turn it into its own self-policing tyranny.

those who comply are instantly furious with any who do not. “i’m caring for you, why won’t you care for me!?!” is permission to act beastly while cloaked in purported virtue. and that’s impossibly seductive stuff for the addled, anxious, and angry.

truly, it was an astonishing piece of messaging.

El Gatio goes on at length from there to apply this analytical framework to sundry other psychological-warfare campaigns, notably including the ongoing “misgendering me/denying me unrestricted sexual access to your children/refusing to honor my choice of pronouns is GENOCIDE” overhype-extravaganza. It’s rich, heady stuff indeed, of which you should definitely read the all. In fact, I thought highly enough of it that I’m gonna try to figure out how Substack’s “Cross post” option works, and make good use of it if I can get it straight.

Update! SUCCESS! The cross-post thingamabobber works like a charm. Nobody ever believes me when I tell ‘em so, but I’m a damned genius, I am. A-HENH!

BEWARE: Dangerous manifesto on the loose!

Your FBI©, as always, STILL remains baffled as to motive.

BREAKING: Nashville Transgender Shooter’s Manifesto Leaked, Huge Revelations on Motive

SHOCKING REVELATION: it reads just about like you probably expected it would—ie, the quasi-coherent, nominally-literate ravings of an obviously bugfuck-nuts, Looney Tooney no-hoper—providing a broad hint as to what Your FBI©’s rationale for their desperate Day One scramble to suppress the fucking unholy mess and damned well keep it suppressed might have been.

The purported manifesto of Nashville transgender school shooter Audrey Hale, a woman who “identified” as a man, has been leaked. Hale entered Covenant Presbyterian School on March 27th, 2023, murdering six people, including three children, before heroic police officers killed her.

According to photographs released by Steven Crowder, the manifesto contains writings about a “Death Day” as well as racist language to describe the shooter’s eventual victims.

The pictures show police vehicles in the background as well as someone wearing protective gloves holding the actual notebook. That would denote that they were taken during the initial stages of the investigation when the manifesto was recovered (perhaps in the shooter’s car at the school).

On one page, Hale used an anti-white slur, writing about her desire to “kill all you little crackers.” In another instance, she complained about those at the school having “white privlages.”

This would seem to confirm that the shooting occurred due to ideological hatred towards the children who attended it. Hale reportedly resented her devout Christian family and the fact that they wouldn’t affirm her “identity” as transgender. The anti-white racism is a new detail, though, and sheds more light on the motive behind the deadly attack.

Also included in the manifesto was a complicated timeline that included her eating breakfast. It’s a small detail, but it stood out in my reading of the document. To schedule something so normal right before going to murder children certainly strikes me as psychotic.

At this point, the question should be asked why this has been kept hidden from the public.

Oh, I think we all already know the answer to that one well enough, thanks: to avert the inevitable wave of “genocidal” attacks perpetrated by marauding hordes of reflexively violent, bigoted ÜberUltraMegaMAGAReichwingNaziDeathBeast insurrectionists against the shitlibs’ Pet Oppressed Minority of the Month. Y’know, like happens time after time to those poor Mooselimbs in the wake of the latest routine bombing, bludgeoning, shooting, stabbing, and/or Mass Sidewalk-Homicide by Stolen Motor Vehicle jihadi outing. Rightly so, too; those Severely Conservative, Trump-licking MFers are some gott-dang scary sumbitches, no joke.

Update! To the surprise of precisely no one, Nashville’s shitlib mayor is duly OUTRAGED!™

Following the leak of the transgender Nashville shooter’s alleged manifesto on Monday morning, Mayor Freddie O’Connell said that the city has launched an investigation into how the images of the writings were released.

“I have directed Wally Dietz, Metro’s Law Director, to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released. That investigation may involve local, state, and federal authorities. I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and well-being of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving,” O’Connell said in a statement, according to WSMV.

Bonchie says to hell with that noise.

If there was any question about whether the photos released by Crowder were real, this answers them. You don’t start an investigation into the leak of something that doesn’t exist.

Still, it’s odd to see Mayor Freddie O’Connell so upset with the fact that this went public. How does knowing the killer’s state of mind and possible motive put anyone in Nashville at risk? Aubrey Hale is no longer among the living, having been dispatched the day of the shooting.

While the topic is obviously very sensitive, it is fair to ask why those in charge have taken such desperate measures to keep this information out of the public eye. Given that manifestos are very often released in other cases, specifically when the shooters fit a certain profile, why only in this case are things expected to be different? One would be forgiven for suspecting that politics is playing a role in this case.

I can’t think of any legitimate reason why the shooter’s anti-white racism should have been kept a secret for nearly the past year. Even if the authorities wanted to not release the actual wording out of concern for the families involved, the public should have been made aware of the situation with a basic description. Instead, false promises were made in what appears to be an attempt to completely memory-hole the entire ordeal.

Already told ya, B-man: this is the shitlibs’ Pet Oppressed Minority of the Month we’re talking about here. Any evidence suggesting that those healthy, one hundred percent well-adjusted “transgender” Wymrrynnzz Of Penis and/or Chest-Feeding Manwomen might in fact be prone to sudden bouts of anti-social behavior; inexplicable fits of rage, elation, and/or depression; self-inflicted bodily harm; even random acts of violence against others—all those and more induced by their psychological disorder—must be kept scrupulously hidden from the public, lest said public should come to doubt the “liberal” shibboleth proclaiming this pitiably-afflicted sub-sub-minority to be every bit as normal, common, and stable as anyone else.

Why, let this gauzy illusion dissolve into nothingness and there’d be simply no telling what other sacraments of the “liberal” catechism those stupid proles might dare to call into question next. Unrestricted abortion? “Common-sense” gun control? Punitive taxation? Big government? Mandatory EVs? Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly The Weather)™? Affirmative action? Unquestioned obeisance to a sanctioned “expert” class? “Equity,” whatever they mean by that? Stifling of all dissenting opinion? Toxic Masculinity?

Good grief, the entire skein of Rule By “Liberal” could unravel right before our very eyes, the Superstate megalith so painstakingly constructed over many decades be reduced to so much rubble, rack, and ruin. Forbid it, Almighty God! Not that there is one, of course.

Alarums, tocsins, and (over)due diligence

Welcome to the party, pal.

‘Wake Up, It Is a Time to Be Concerned’: FBI Director Wray Issues Stark Warning at Committee Hearing
In a Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray provided some worrying — if not outright alarming — answers to questions from U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) regarding current terrorist threats against the homeland.

“What has now increased is the greater possibility of one of these foreign terrorist organizations directing an attack in the United States,” Wray told senators on the committee. “We haven’t seen evidence that it’s actually happening yet, but what we have seen is — and I listed them off in my opening remarks — one terrorist organization after another calling for attacks,” he explained. “We should wake up, it is a time to be concerned — we are in a dangerous period.”

Gee, whatever gave you your first clue, Sooperdoopergenius?

“I couldn’t say that we’re able to detect all individuals,” Wray replied. “The people that we know about — as Secretary Rumsfeld used to say, ‘the known known’ — we’re quite good at, together with our partners. But it is ‘the unknown unknown’ that I worry about quite a bit,” he revealed.

Since, as Wray said, the FBI is unable to “detect all individuals,” Sen. Scott followed up by asking whether the FBI is aware of any terrorist organizations operating in the United States at present. Again, Wray’s answer was less than reassuring.

“Well, we’re not tracking that,” Wray responded. “But again, I can point back to what it is — the gaps in our intelligence are real and it’s something that we have concerns about.”

Well, as long as you’re keeping close tabs on all those “violent” ÜberUltraMegaMAGA J6 “insurrectionists”—hunting them down; locking them up indefinitely without charges; manufacturing evidence of their spurious “crimes”; directing Praetorian Media coverage of that awful, awful day; protecting Our Sacred Democracy and its Holy DC Citadel; arranging for continuous box-wine deliveries to Granny Botox Pelosi, our Dearest Leader; surveilling and/or conducting kinetic late-night commando ops in full battle-rattle against confirmed non-D卐M☭CRATs; and such-like—I suppose that’s all that really matters.

Don’t know about you all, but I feel a lot better knowing Our FBI© remains on the job and ever-vigilant to keep us safe from those scary Trump-monsters.

What a disgusting, obscene joke this putative “nation” has become.

White House slammed for ‘tone deaf’ unveiling of anti-Islamophobia strategy as antisemitism surges
The Biden administration faced backlash Wednesday after announcing that it would develop “the first ever US National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia” in the US amid rising levels of antisemitism.

The White House’s focus on combatting Islamophobia comes one day after both the arrest of a 21-year-old self-identified “Hamas fighter” in New York who allegedly threatened to kill and rape Jews at Cornell University and FBI Director Christopher Wray telling senators that antisemitism is reaching “historic levels” in the US following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

“For years, Muslims in America and those perceived to be Muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hate fueled attacks,” Vice President Kamala Harris said in a video posted on X.

Surprising absolutely no one who isn’t a ((((JOOJOOJOOJOOOOOOO!!!))))-hating “liberal,” that last is just a rerun of the tired, worn-out Wokester lie the Left has been wailing on and on about for decades.

“As a result of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we have seen an uptick in anti-Palestinian, anti-Arab, antisemitic and Islamophobic incidents across America,” she added, referencing the brutal slaying of a six-year-old Palestinian American boy in Chicago last month.

Referenced by Lying Whore Harris because, horrific as it certainly is, it’s just about the only incident she could reference—a lone incident perpetrated by a guy who is clearly a deranged lunatic. The continuous drone from shitlibs bemoaning “Islamophobia” is yet another example of one of their perpetually-imminent-but-never-materializing hobgoblins, ever since 9/11. Assuming anybody out there still remembers why that date used to have some significance attached to it, that is.

Harris indicated that the plan – still in the works – will aim “to protect Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim from hate, bigotry and violence. And to address the concern that some government policies may discriminate against Muslims privilege domestic jihadi terrorists and their left-wing supporters and shield them from all potential consequences for their vile, hateful transgressions against decency, sanity, and the very concept of human civilization.”

Fixed it for ya there, Willie-Licker.

Canadian professor Gad Saad, who referenced the statistics Wray presented to senators Tuesday, was one of many who took to social media to express dismay with the Biden administration’s anti-Islamophobia announcement.

“According to the [FBI] director, Jews make up 2.4% of the US population but are the targets of 60% of hate crimes. This is why it is apparently important to fight Islamophobia according to the White House,” Saad, who was born into a Jewish family in Lebanon, wrote on X.

GAAAAH, THE TRUTH, IT BURNS US, IT BUUURRRNNNNS USSS! GET IT AWAY, GET IT AWAY!!! More 24k truth ***”pResident”*** Slo-Jo Stumblebum and his vapid-whore Veep would rather we all ignore:

Direct quotes:

HAMAD: Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and it it must be finished. We are not ashamed to say this, with full force…

We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight. Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs.

Q: Does that mean the annihilation of Israel?

HAMAD: Yes, of course. The existence of Israel is illogical. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are victims of the occupation. Period. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000 — everything we do is justified.

And there ya go. Any further questions? When an enemy of all civilized humanity openly, explicitly declares his intentions like this, I’d suggest you should take him at his word…and either quarantine or kill him, along with all of his adherents you possibly can.

I especially like that “on our land” horseshit. Sorry, Charlie, but that land had been known as either Israel or Judea (as in, JEWdea, get it?) for about, oh, three thousand fucking years before your precious Pedophile Prophet was even fucking born.

“Never forget” 9/11—and now, a (un)duly-“elected” US administration is issuing stern fatwas deploring a nonexistent Islamophobia to its dimwitted, cowed subjects, spending money it doesn’t have to claim a moral high ground it’s too improvident and reprehensible to ever even locate, much less reach. Yeah, I’d say 9/11 has been well and truly forgotten at this point, shamefully so, its lessons blithely tossed into the dustbin of history until our next painful schooling.

Bottom line update! Bayou Peter has it.

There is no place in a civilized world for anyone who can speak so casually about the mass gang-rape and murder of women, and the mass slaying of children, as “justified”. Any person, and any organization, that can say such things so openly has self-defined as being in need of elimination, so that the rest of human society can rest easier at night.

It’s as simple as that. Israel needs no further justification to eliminate Hamas. That organization has already provided enough, and more than enough, out of the mouths of Mr. Hamad and its other spokesmen. As I’ve said before, there is a moral imperative upon Israel to do its utmost to protect innocent victims in Gaza…but that it must eliminate Hamas, even at the tragic cost of some innocent victims, is an overwhelming, pre-eminent priority. Far too few people appear to realize that – even in Israel.

That’s because it’s a difficult, brutal calculus to confront: that this world could be so hard, so cold, that there would exist people in it who are beyond any hope of redemption or reform; that among us there will always be those who are utterly without worth—that the Law of the Jungle remains forever in effect, that for all their advancement and sophistication, even decent, kind, eminently-civilized and high-minded people must eventually either kill or be killed.

FINALLY

At last, Kuenstler has written a column that I can’t quibble with, complain about, or disagree with in even the smallest, most niggling way.

Our nation, under the leadership of “Joe Biden” (…iden…iden…iden…iden…), has deployed our mighty warships in the waters all around and amongst Israel’s adversaries. Hard to see how that couldn’t happen, our sacred duty and all. If called upon, they can probably do a lot of damage — though there is plenty of reason to believe that Iran has enough anti-ship cruise missiles to create a big problem for us. Heck, Iran has enough long range conventional guided missiles to turn Haifa and Tel Aviv into ashtrays. But then, five minutes later, the same would be true for Teheran and Damascus, only they’d be radioactive. And who knows what those swarms of moiling migrants in the US and Euroland might be inspired to do, when it comes to that?

Jihad is in the offing. Too many are itching to set it off. Now they’re just waiting for an excuse, a reason to ignite the fuses. The obvious excuse would be an Israeli military incursion into Gaza. That would git’er done, I’m sure. The Israelis must realize this. Despite prior expectations, though, and even given the thirst for vengeance, they might realize it’s unnecessary. They’ve done enough bombing in Gaza. They could neutralize the command network of Hamas pretty much the same way they got the Black September ringleaders of the Munich Olympics massacre, 1972 — a methodical hunt over years, decades. They don’t have to shout from the rooftops, either. Everyone will know.

There is the fate of the Gaza hostages to consider. It doesn’t look good. Given enough time, of course, they can be shuttled around geographically here, there, and everywhere and concealed for years. They have value. World opinion will turn on the hostage-takers, though you might argue that no longer matters. I rather expect that rescue operations are well-planned and some may be carried out. But, overall, many of these poor pawns are apt to be lost. Tragic is tragic.

If we manage to avoid World War Three, America has its own grave problem to consider, which is comprehensive collapse — of economic activity, the financial scaffold for it, and of civil order in a society under deadly stress. Most of this damage has been induced by our own political leaders. Now that the House of Representatives has been put in order, it’s time for that body to act expeditiously and relieve “Joe Biden” of his responsibilities…and then Ms. Harris…and then Messrs. Garland, Mayorkas, and Wray. Out with them, post haste, and begin the project to save our own country.

Seconded, wholeheartedly—every word of it, to the last detail. Well, except that nothing in the last two sentences—which demonstrate that poor old James is still eager to succumb to the usual unfounded over-optimism about the likelihood of even one item on his devoutly-to-be-wished list coming to pass, desirable as they would doubtless be—has a ghost of a chance of happening. I say again: this is NOT America as we once knew it, not in any way, shape, or form. This is Amerika v2.0, and the sooner we can all get our heads around that dismaying home truth, the sooner something useful might actually be done about it.

Of leashes, muzzles, and chains

Anybody surprised at all by this revoltin’ development? Anybody? Bueller…?

Israel Delays Ground Invasion Because US Is Unprepared to Defend Itself
Israel has been prepared to enter Gaza to eliminate Hamas, but the ground invasion keeps getting delayed. The reason why?

The US is unprepared to defend US military installations in the area.

This is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. However, I am not sure that the Biden Administration isn’t just pressuring Israel to delay for other reasons as well, given their neverending expressions of concern for Gaza.

Israel has agreed, for now, to a request from the U.S. to get its air defenses in place to protect U.S. troops in the region ahead of an expected ground invasion of Gaza, U.S. and Israeli officials said.

The Pentagon is scrambling to deploy nearly a dozen air-defense systems to the region, including for U.S. troops serving in Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, to protect them from missiles and rockets. U.S. officials have so far persuaded the Israelis to hold off until those pieces can be placed, as early as later this week.

Israel is also taking into account in its planning the effort to supply humanitarian aid to civilians inside Gaza, as well as diplomatic efforts to free more of the hostages held by Hamas, officials said.

The new excuse by the Biden Administration looks utterly pathetic because it is an admission that despite decades of having troops and assets in the region, our military is not prepared to defend our interests.

That is quite the reality if true, and quite the message to our enemies if either true or false.

WhoawhoawhoaWHOA there, big fella! Ixnay on the oosetalk-lay, if you please. Surely you must know that, according to the Progressivist catechism, Amerika v2.0 HAS no enemies, only “friends” who haven’t been appeased, bribed, beseeched, and groveled before sufficiently yet.

In fact, the word “enemies” itself is strictly verboten, reserved exclusively for domestic use to describe violent ÜberUltraMegaMAGA insurrectionists; non-“liberal” Whypeepuh; the traitor Trump and anyone who has ever spoken with, seen, and/or been closer than ten (10) statute miles from him bodily; all Republicans; and assorted Christians, Normals, rednecks, slope-browed ridgerunners, and cishet-binary Breeder freaks. In matters of foreign policy, this ugliest, most foul of epithets must never be uttered by more enlightened, evolved, sophisticated beings such as ourselves.

Fortunately, we have our Chinese friends to help guide us on the Path To Peace For All.

Tracking major warship movements in response to the developing situation in Gaza and beyond has been interesting. Most people have focused on the comings and goings of the US Navy in or towards the Eastern Mediterranean. Even the USN itself seems to have taken its eye off other potential flashpoints, as something has happened which never normally would: the most powerful naval force in the Gulf is Chinese.

Just fourteen days ago, US Navy movements were being passed off as ‘business as normal’. The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Gerald R Ford was in the Mediterranean anyway. The Dwight D Eisenhower (Ike) carrier group deployment was planned anyway, just brought forward.

About ten days ago this changed. Ford’s stay in the Med was extended and it was stated that Ike was going to join the Ford. Two super-carriers in the same place – that’s big medicine. Articles were written noting this, by me among others. We armchair admirals also noted that the USS Bataan and USS Carter Hall, amphibious ships carrying the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) were dispatched from the Gulf to the Red Sea and the command-and-control ship Mount Whitney, complete with a 3* Admiral and his staff, was pulled off Nato duties and sent to take charge in the eastern Med. This could no longer be passed off as ‘planning adjustments’.

The only way to work out what’s going on is to take away the drinking straw through which you are looking at Gaza and zoom out, a long way out.

One thing jumps out straight away. The US Navy, for now at least, is not the preeminent naval force in the Gulf. That distinction now belongs to the 44th and 45th naval escort groups of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). The two groups, one of which has just arrived to take over from the other, have a total of six ships. Two are Type 052D destroyers equipped with YJ-21 hypersonic anti-ship ballistic missiles.

No worries; I’m sure they mean well, no harm done. Carry on, Most Puissant Lords and Masters. As you were.

Back when I was playing wargames a lot as a staff officer, we found that if a war with Iran was going to start, the Bab el Mandeb strait at the bottom of the Red Sea and/or the Eastern Med were likely places for the Iranians to start it. This is partly because it exposes the problems of having three US Combatant Commands converging, but mainly because it draws assets away from the root of the problem – Iran. And now we have attacks happening in both places, launched by Iranian-backed organisations in both cases. Suddenly there are not many assets left near the Strait of Hormuz, where Iran menaces all traffic in and out of the Gulf. It all looks a bit like the beginning of some of those Iran-vs-the-West wargames.

Large naval deployments affect oceans and continents way beyond the coastlines off which they sail. Experts in land power and followers of land wars sometimes forget this. One has to zoom way out and look at all of the moving parts to even have the first idea of what effect things like carrier strike groups may have and even then, don’t be surprised if you are wrong or if it changes.

Winston Churchill got this when he said, “a battleship exercises a vague general fear and menaces all points at once. It appears, and disappears, causing immediate reactions and perturbations on the other side”. There will be many conversations along these lines in the corridors of Washington DC and Whitehall – and it’s to be hoped that the planners remember that Churchill used this phrase to compel the deployment of Force Z, with its battleships without air cover, against the advice of the Admiralty. More than eight hundred British sailors paid the price.

As is perfectly typical of D卐M☭CRAT administrations going all the way back to loathsome cockroach Woodrow Wilson, the Chaos Party has a nasty little habit of involving the US in needless, futile Tar Baby Wars, mismanaging them ludicrously, then leaving the next Republican president to shoulder the burden of finding some way of extricating the nation from the gooey, sticky mess—reviling said Republican as a “warmonger” the whole while, natch.

Shaking in their boots, they are NOT

Yeah, they’re afraid of us and all our big, scary guns. Just keep telling yourself that while clicking your heels together three times and maybe it’ll come true.

It’s been a while since the term studied insult was common in American discourse. Yet the thing itself has been much with us these past few years, so it’s well to understand what the term signifies:

studied insult: An insult carefully designed to pertain to a particular person or group, such that the insulted one(s) cannot fail to take note of the offense.

The intention is to give offense to a specific person, and in a specific way. The British have long been celebrated for excellence in this field.

The question good-hearted people of every kind have been asking since January 20, 2021 is simple and plaintive: “How could they not have known this would happen?” The stolen elections of November 2020 were followed by one incredibly “stupid” policy after another. Surely the Gentle Readers of Liberty’s Torch remember the high points:

  • Strangling the supply of oil and gas.
  • Opening wide the southern border.
  • Massive inflation of the currency.
  • Pansification of the military.
  • Involvement in Russia-Ukraine War.
  • Massive financial gifts to Iran.
  • Abandonment of $80 billion in weaponry to the Taliban.
  • Use of the DOJ and FBI as political tools.
  • De facto legalization of rioting, vandalism, vagrancy, and theft.
  • Sam Brinton, Karine Jean-Pierre, and “Rachel” Levine.

I could go on, of course. Every single thing in the list above was done deliberately, with full foreknowledge of its consequences. They were strokes intentionally delivered to achieve two effects:

To weaken the United States, whether politically, militarily, or economically;

To insult decent Americans so blatantly that there could be no doubt about it.

Many good-hearted people simply can’t believe that the Usurpers really meant to offend us so blatantly…that those were studied insults. But in fact they’d been planned since Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in November 2016. Those barbs were intended to be blunt and brutal: We can do what we like to you, and there’s not one damn thing you can do about it.

I’m a fair hand with such things, and I tell you plainly: I could not have contrived more blatant, humiliating insults if I were given a decade to do it.

Francis has nailed it but good with this one, and Bayou Peter knows it.

I have to agree with Mr. Porretto. This is deliberate, in-your-face intimidation and triumphalism. “We got rid of Trump and his ilk, and now we’re in charge, and there’s nothing you can do about it!” That’s the message. That’s also why I, and many others, believe the 2024 elections will be a sham, and a fake, and a public lie. Having gone this far, the powers that be dare not see their handiwork overturned by another Trumpian revolution. They have to protect it, and themselves for having fostered and accomplished it: and that means we’ve probably seen the last free and fair elections in America for some time to come, until people get fed up enough to do something about the corruption and dishonesty that have come to rule the “old ways” of government.

Mr. Porretto asks, “What will we do on that day?” My question is, “When will that day come?” Either way, it’s not a comfortable thought. I’ve lived in disintegrating societies and nations in the Third World, and seen at first hand how many become casualties of the process – militarily, economically, socially, politically, culturally and in every other way imaginable. I think most of us will learn more about that in the not too distant future, because when the rot has set into a society as deeply as it has into ours, there’s a certain inevitability about the process. What’s more, unless the decent majority “screws their courage to the sticking place”, the end result is unlikely to be happy. The intimidation currently on display is designed to stop them doing that. Will it succeed? Or will it provoke them to say, “So far and no further!”?

Remains to be seen, I suppose, which we will soon enough. The one thing for sure is that, far from fearing us, all the evidence shows that in fact they despise us—that they hold us in complete contempt, and will go right on doing so until they’re given reason NOT to.

One of Jefferson’s most well-known apocryphal aphorisms sums up our condition more than adequately, as pithily and neatly as it’s ever been done: When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. Whether Jefferson ever actually said it—it’s almost certain that he didn’t—is pretty much moot, because of the overwhelming truth of it. That being so, which of those two sentences best describes Amerika v2.0 today?

Thank HEAVENS, we’re SAVED!

Well, ain’t that a relief.

McConnell claims he is in ‘good shape’ and ‘completely recovered’ after health scares

Not a word, of course, detailing what these serial “health scares” might have actually, y’know, involved. Beyond Yertle McTurtle locking up several times on-camera like a deer caught in headlights, that is. Everything’s cool, we good, we good.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he is “completely recovered” after a series of health episodes earlier this year that raised questions about whether the 81-year-old senator could continue serving.

“I’m in good shape, completely recovered, and back on the job,” McConnell said in an interview that aired Sunday with CBS News’s Face The Nation.

When asked by host Margaret Brennan if he believes he is fit to continue serving “at a time when we are talking about incredible dysfunction in Washington, McConnell fired back, “I think we ought to be talking about what we were talking about earlier, rather than my health.”

Oh, by all means, Yertle. Important, crucially vitally crucial things like the absolute imperative shared by every single last American to keep hurling pallet-loads of US hush-money at a certain pint-sized dictator to continue his becoming silence concerning the Biden Crime Familia‘s frequent use of his “nation” as an ATM-slash-money laundry.

The way forward, the way back, the past as prelude

The problem with this kind of thinking can be summed up by the parts I’ll put in boldface.

Things are going a little sideways now, wouldn’t you agree? The world is not coming to an end, exactly, but our arrangements in it are breaking up all at once, threatening to wreck everyday life for a whole lot more people than just the poor mutts on the margins. The endless insults to common decency and common sense by the vicious governing blob that runs things don’t help, either. The main question du jour: when things break really badly, will they break against that vicious blob hard enough to make it stop?

This blob — a weird cabal alien to our heritage — is composed of people with names and duties, and institutions too. They have already lost their credibility, their authority, and their legitimacy. The problem is that they haven’t lost their power to wreck our country. Exposed and disgraced as they are, they still occupy the seats of command, still twiddle the dials on the control console, still enjoy a foolish illusion of invulnerability.

I’m in favor of wholesale impeachment of these top people as the best way to go, first, to pry their hands off the levers of power, and second, use the process of impeachment to move public sentiment to a firmly anti-blob position.

See what I’m talking about? Those two statements are self-evidently contradictory. If they still occupy the seats of command—and they assuredly do—how the hell do you propose to successfully impeach them, then? Do you seriously expect a system under their control to right itself just because you have your lawyers ask their lawyers, nicely and politely, to cut out the shenanigans and skullduggery? Even if that miracle somehow does happen, who’s going to make it stick? Or, in Stalin’s famous (and possibly apocryphal) formulation, how many divisions has the Pope?

Yes, their assumption of invulnerability is in fact a foolish illusion, but not because they’re afraid of being impeached. It’s the same old story, though: the Second Amendment has no power against tyranny if Our Side has preemptively foresworn to see that’s it enforced—ie, to ever do anything with all those guns but keep them safely locked in gun safes or closets no matter what…exactly as the rabid opponents of the 2A have mandated. They did that for a reason, and so far it’s worked out quite well indeed for them.

There’s more to Kuenstler’s piece, of course, lots of it good. But in the end he’s self-stymied by some too-familiar habits of thought and emotion: the hopeless faith that, in a rigged game wherein the rules are arbitrary and favor one side over the other, appeals to the umpire might still somehow save the day. That, despite a veritable Everest of indisputable evidence to the contrary that stacks up higher each and every day, there’s still something of honesty and probity left in the crooks and grifters at the helm of the ship of (Super)state. That, in people visibly, demonstrably evil to their very marrow, there is nevertheless some good in them somewhere that might somehow be brought forth, if we can only appeal to it vehemently enough.

Would that it were so. Alas, it is not. The number of decent men in the US Congress can be counted on one’s fingers without resort to one’s toes; much as I do appreciate them, Rand Paul and Matt Gaetz will never be able to impeach anybody all by themselves. As to dismantling Foggy Bottom, fuhgeddabouddit, ain’t gonna happen without gunplay.

Not that pointing out the mal- and mis-feasance rife throughout FederalGovCo isn’t a worthwhile endeavor, mind; in fact, it’s a vital step in the whole long slog. I repeat: a process, not an event. But at some point cold, hard steel (or lead) must come into play, and all the pleas in the world for comity and gentlemanly restraint aren’t going to change that.
