Prison nation

The land once known far and wide as a nation of cast-offs and convicts is now back behind bars.

Australia has deployed hundreds of soldiers to Sydney to help enforce a Covid lockdown.

A Delta outbreak which began in June has produced nearly 3,000 infections and led to nine deaths.

Australian Defence Force soldiers will undergo training on the weekend before beginning unarmed patrols on Monday.

But many have questioned whether the military intervention is necessary, calling it heavy-handed.

The lockdown – in place until at least 28 August – bars people from leaving their home except for essential exercise, shopping, caregiving and other reasons.

Soldiers will join police in virus hotspots to ensure people are following the rules, which include a 10km (6.2 miles) travel limit.

State Police Minister David Elliott said it would help because a small minority of Sydneysiders thought “the rules didn’t apply to them”.

Information provided by health officials indicates the virus is mainly spreading through permitted movement.

The Australian Lawyers Alliance, a civil rights group, called the deployment a “concerning use” of the army in a liberal democracy.

Oh, is that what you think you are? Because you look like something else entirely from here. Then again, though, here in AINO (America In Name Only), we have precious little room to talk these days.

As a GFZ commenter helpfully points out: nine (count ’em, 9) deaths…in a city of five million. Yep, this is one Heap Big Scary Death Plague, all right. Speaking of GFZ, via whom etc:

Can we liberate a Western nation from tyranny in which the people would be grateful for our sacrifice?

That would be nice.

Go down under, shoot some commies, hand out some rifles to the locals, drink a beer and have a barbie.

Sure, some of the Australian Leftists will be all pissy, but given what I’ve seen of the Sydney riots, the rest of the country would embrace us like the Belgians did after Market Garden.

Let ’em get all the “pissy” they want to; just gun ’em down in job lots and get on with your day, as is the proper way to deal with all Leftists, everywhere. It ain’t as if Down Under shitlibs have many options when it comes to shooting back, y’know.

Red Dawn has broken

On the beam, with a caveat.

The Democrats’ RED DAWN: Yes, It’s A Communist Coup. But There Are Signs Of Hope
Remember John Milius’ 1984 classic movie, Red Dawn, in which Soviet and Cuban shock troops capture the town of Calumet CO? In one particularly compelling scene, the victorious occupiers execute Americans accused of conspiring with high school rebels who have been waging guerrilla warfare. But just before the Reds open fire, the condemned patriots start singing America the Beautiful.

I thought of that when reading Julie Kelly’s account of the January 6 Mostly Peaceful Protesters, still scandalously held in solitary confinement for their political opinions, singing the National Anthem every evening [January 6 Detainees Sing the National Anthem, July 18, 2021] Except this time, the enemy isn’t the Soviets: it’s Joe Biden and his—let’s face it—de facto Communist regime.

Hate to say it and all, truly I do, but at this point it might be about time we dropped the whole National Anthem/patriotism thing. The sad, sorry truth is that it’s an anthem for a nation that no longer exists except in rose-tinted memory, and cannot be brought back. Mourning the nation they’ve stolen from us and are in the process of dismantling it even as I type this is one thing; pure nostalgia is something altogether else, and if over-indulged will serve only to blunt the edge of a perfectly honed and well-justified rage, attenuating what of right ought to be a keen appetite for retribution until it’s nothing more than flabby futility.

These political prisoners’ “Days In Court” will be Stalinist show trials, designed to signal that opponents are “terrorists” and to make clear what the Regime has in mind for the Historic American Nation: legal and political harassment, then dispossession and, ultimately, Replacement. In the eyes of many Democrat officials and Leftist pundits, the so-called attack on the U.S. Capitol was “worse than 9/11”.

But there are signs of hope.

I must say I find the “signs of hope” he cites rather, umm, underwhelming. Could be that’s just me, though.

Maybe something remains of what truly unified Americans 20 years ago, when Saudi Muslim radicals—who shouldn’t have been in the country anyway—murdered 3,000 of our countrymen:

Unfortunately, rank-and-file Democrats seem be gulled their leaders. A poll from Echelon Insights in February reported the top concerns for Democrat voters:

  • Donald Trump supporters: 82 percent
  • White nationalism: 79 percent
  • Systemic racism: 77 percent

In contrast, Republicans said their top concerns are illegal immigration (81 percent) then lack of support for the police, and high taxes.

Not one issue among voters of the two parties overlaps. The two sides live in different worlds—what VDARE.com has called “America” and “Anti-America.”

The question we must ask is this: At what point do we realize a coup of unimaginable proportions has occurred, and our fate might be that of the Americans in Milius’ Red Dawn?

And the question we must answer remains the same: What, if anything, is to be done about that? Because, one way or another, it WILL be answered. It’s entirely up to us to see to it that it’s an answer we can live with—literally.

Lines in the sand

Ramping up the real, the bad, and the scary.

OK
My sourcing is… shall we say… unwilling to say anything that could be ‘identifiable’…The how, where, when, who… all of it is out the window. Can’t say which country I worked with them in. They (and yeah, I’ma use the They/Them/Theirs pronouns in hopes to keep things on the down-low.) They however have already heard rumblings about the ‘vaxport.’ That’s what it’s going to be called theoretically. They have an upcoming vaykay from Ye Olde Jobbage, and were told to make sure the papers were in order before doing any travel. Reason is, the ‘vaxport’ is going to be needed for any travel in, around and through the majority of the Western World. Papers for the fam needed to be gotten and maintained as well. As in “get them (das Papiere) now, as we cannot help you later.”

Essentially, we’re going to see a quick move to “Full Soviet Control” vis-a-vis borders, movement and the ability to travel. The current rumblings of the Delta Bullshit variant? They said this ain’t shit as to what’s coming. According to them, (They’s bosses) there’s a massive spike coming, just in time for the horror-days, and yeah…that’s the term they used “Horror-days” instead of ‘holidays’ when they were supposed to be travelling around and oot and aboot. They (my peep) think it’s because the ‘nominal-normal spike of pneumonia and cold related flus’ are ALL going to be tagged onto the COVID Hump.

Just like they did last year.
‘Cept this time, they’re (not my folk) but “they” for the powers-that-be ain’t gonna play.
They like the power they were granted
They love the control factor
They intend on keeping that control no matter the cost

We, on the other hand?
We Be Fucked

Not if we fuck them first…and harder. Failing that, well—yeah, fucked is probably putting it quite mildly. In any event, Grond crawls on.

The illegitimate president Biden has accepted the role of chief propagandist for mass mandated vaccination. He said today (July 29) that all federal employees and contractors will have to show proof of vaccination or wear masks, use social distancing, and have regular testing.

A number of state governors are also mandating vaccination of state employees, and corporations are requiring it of their employees and some are requiring prospective employees to be vaccinated prior to their job interview.

Danny Meyer, the founder and chairman of Shake Shack just announced that both employees and customers must be vaccinated. No proof of vaccination, no service.

To understand how utterly stupid all are from Danny Meyer to Joe Biden, consider that these tyrannical and strictly illegal mandates are being blamed on the “delta variant” against which health authorities admit the vaccine is ineffectual. What then is the point of the vaccination?

We know from the adverse vaccine effects databases that the US, UK, and EU alone have 3,000,000 adverse vaccine cases and tens of thousands of deaths. Clearly, the vaccine carries high risk. We also know from reports from the UK, Israel and elsewhere that it is the countries with the highest percentage of their populations vaccinated that are having the highest rate of new cases, and the cases are vaccinated people.

There is now abundant evidence that the mRNA injections are creating identical symptoms to those created by the Covid virus—life-treating blood-clotting for example. It is an act of murder to mandate a vaccine that is known to kill people.

To ask the question again, what is the purpose of the vaccination? Is the purpose the “grave harm to female fertility”? Is the purpose the large percentage of the vaccinated population that some experts expect will die from the vaccine’s toxicity? Is the purpose Big Pharma’s profits? Is the purpose to breach the law that requires informed consent for any intervention in one’s body so that authorities can mandate that we be microchipped?

Something is going on that we are not being told.

Sho ’nuff is at that. The worst part is, that ain’t even the worst part. No, the WORST part is, even if they DID deign to tell us anything, it would only be a damned lie anyhow.

Just say no

As CA often says, the only way out is through. And the only way through is vehement, open, and unyielding defiance.

Americans, Choose Freedom and Take Off the Mask
The collapse of personal autonomy and individual agency in the face of an onslaught of punitive, soul-corroding COVID-19 restrictions has been perhaps the most frightening and depressing development in modern American history. Given its minuscule—barely a blip above normal—death toll, COVID-19 is as close to a hoax as can be imagined. Advertised relentlessly as the second coming of the Black Death, it is instead the New Coke of viral diseases.

The damage it has done, however, is still considerable—not to the nation’s health but to its economy and, more important, to its psyche. Our country of yeoman farmers began disappearing into urbanism in the aftermath of the Civil War, but it was not until the twin catastrophes of World Wars I and II that authoritarian collectivism began to supplant personal initiative and liberty.

The postwar injection of Marxist poison by the red-diaper scholars of the Frankfurt School into our educational system is now serving to finish the transformation of our country into a third-rate, 1930s socialist fantasy.

Gee, if one didn’t know better, one might almost suspect it had been done to us deliberately or something. But no no no, that’s just ridiculous.

Whether the CCP virus was deliberately weaponized in Wuhan, China, and then unleashed upon an unsuspecting world, the fact remains that it has resulted in the most destructive assault on the American economy—and, more importantly, the nature of the American people—in our national history. It cries out for retribution and revenge.

A. Fucking. MEN. If you’ll bring the tar, I’ll bring the feathers. Someone else will need to take care of the pitchforks, torches, and rope. I only got two hands, y’know.

Along the way, and in addition to making healthy Americans fear a relatively minor threat to their personal health, Fauci has managed to destroy our essential humanity, our joie de vivre, our love of our fellow man, the small, human pleasures of life and, almost as a byproduct of his misanthropy, the Trump administration itself. The former president’s extension of a bully pulpit to a power-mad bureaucrat was the greatest blunder of his presidency, one from which it will take us years to recover unless we act with great vigor immediately.

Maybe the greatest, but probably not by all that much. Which, frankly, has had me wondering about a few other things of late, all of them highly unpleasant.

From the start, it was obvious that slogans such as “two weeks to flatten the curve” were meaningless, and that once the entrenched lifers at the plethora of federal agencies to whom the American people have unwittingly surrendered their sovereignty tasted their first bite of untrammeled and almost wholly illegal power, they would never ever, ever, ever, ever let us go. And they haven’t.

A handful of us lowly blogger-types warned of exactly that; believe me, I for one take no pleasure whatsoever in having been proven correct. Many of my blogosphere colleagues and compadres were taken in by the charade, which at the time and under the circumstances was at least understandable. But after what we’ve seen the last year and a half, all sentient Americans should know better by now. There is no longer any need of further evidence to confirm whether our governments—ALL of them, at EVERY level—can be entrusted with American rights, liberties, and lives, even “temporarily.” We have all we’ll ever need, and then some. There is no excuse ford

At this point, no one in his right mind would either get the shots or wear a mask. No one with any dignity and true American spirit, that is.

The solution, as always on the intellectually imported left, is blunt force. It doesn’t matter that the remedies are illogical—wear a mask to enter a restaurant, remove it to dine three feet away—arbitrary and whimsically applied. I’m happy to report many people here are simply ignoring the latest local government “mandate,” especially since the L.A. sheriff, Alex Villanueva, has said his department won’t enforce the entirely senseless edict.

Walsh is right when uses the term “blunt force”—righter than he knows himself, as he promptly goes on to demonstrate.

Just say no. No to further mandates. No to vaccine “passports.” No to the drumbeat of fear porn by the NY Times, NPR, and other statist media outlets with a vested ideological interest in keeping the population crippled by fear. No to the petty tyrants of state and local municipalities who blithely disregard their own unscientific nostrums while inflicting them on everybody else.

No to a “science” that is promulgated by fiat and fear. No to unconstitutional restrictions on freedom of speech by fascist social media; no to the closing of churches and temples; no to ukases against freedom of religion and assembly. No to superannuated careerists such as Fauci, no to intrusive government agencies such as the CDC, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the unconscionably long list of other government agencies who are all feasting on the “pandemic.”

Do you want to do an experiment? Fine, let’s try this one: it’s called freedom, whatever the consequences. Some might die so that the rest of us may live—but we will no longer live in artificial fear. Remind the swamp creatures that the rights enumerated or reserved to the people in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were given by God, and not by the State. Remind them that we—not they—are the boss.

And then fire them. Defy them, primary them, recall them, toss them out of office.

Sigh. So close, and then…he augers right into a fiery crash ‘n’ burn with this tired, flaccid same-old-same-old insisting that we “defy them” via elections that are proven fraudulent; political processes that are obviously rigged; and legal maneuvering in courts whose corrupt and/or politicized judges and prosecutors will brazenly twist every law and precedent for use against us. It’s just depressing at this point, that’s what.

Take off your masks and chuck them in the trash. Breathe the fresh air of free men and women, citizens of a Republic in which the people, not the doctors or the politicians, are sovereign. Teach them the hard way that the founding virtues of this country were defiance, not subordination; bravery, not cowardice; individuality, not socialism; freedom, not slavery.

The hard way is indeed the only way they’ll ever be taught. Alas, the hard way does NOT include strongly worded letters, lawsuits, and voting harderer at them. We’re well past that point now; those options were tried, and they all failed spectacularly. Even massive peaceful protest proved inadequate to address the “long train of abuses and usurpations” to which Real Americans have been wantonly subjected. And now, even that has been turned into a weapon to be wielded against us. They’ve left us with but a single option—a most dangerous, destructive, painful, and costly one.

The nature of the corner they’ve forced us into is that you have to fight your way out of it. It’s the only possible way. And that’s fight, not “fight”—literally, explicitly, physically. At this late stage of the game, any of us using it metaphorically or rhetorically is doin’ it wrong. Sorry to make anybody out there uncomfortable, but that’s just the way it is.

“Safety” über alles, “safety” macht frei

Sooner or later, it always seems to come down to the same old thing with these fascist assholes, don’t it?

Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Label Unvaccinated Players with Yellow Wristbands

What, they ran out of those yellow stars or something? Meh, no matter. I would like to hereby recommend that all us murdering (Not)Vaxx-resistant Schweinehunde be forced to have little numbers tattooed on our forearms, starting immediately. That ought to make the situation crystal clear to everybody, once and for all.

Tyranny comes to your house

It’s roosting on our friend Wes’s doorstep even now.

Yesterday a news headline came to my attention that will affect mine and my families lives.

Charlotte hospitals announce mandatory COVID vaccine requirement for all employees

Charlotte hospital systems Atrium Health and Novant Health will begin requiring all workers get the COVID-19 vaccinations, hospital officials confirmed Thursday.

Atirum Health will require all workers — including remote workers, physicians, medical residents, faculty, fellows, trainees, contractors, medical staff, students, temporary workers and volunteer staff — to get vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption by Oct. 31.

And Novant Health will require the same for all of its employees, contractors, vendors and students by Sept. 15.

My wife is a NICU Nurse and a damn good one. She loves saving babies. She doesn’t want to take the jab and refuses to take this experimental poison.

The fight it seems has now landed at my door. Will anyone help me? Or is it just my problem since your lives aren’t affected by this decision. I’ve got many friends whose wives are nurses and I heard from many of them yesterday. “What do we do?” was the question I was asked. The first option is to try for the religious exemption. Not sure how that is going to go over though with over half of their staff trying to claim it. Hospitals already don’t have enough staff for their patients, what happens when they lose even more staff due to the refusal to take their mandated poison? The second option? Well let’s just say they hope we don’t have to go there. Honestly though, the second option for me is the first, if you know what I mean.

The time to throw down draws near. Sooner or later it’s going to affect us all. All major employers will end up mandating the poison as a condition of employment, due to pressure from TPTB. Or how about if you have to have it to collect Social Security, unemployment, or just being a government employee. I’m tired of waiting for trouble to come to my door. Sadly they are slowly but surely backing good people into a corner. Trouble is here America, and 99% of the people have no clue how bad things can and will get.

Wes is one of a handful of blogosphere colleagues and allies I regularly correspond with; I know him as a good guy and consider him a friend, although we haven’t met face to face. The predicament he now finds himself in is extremely upsetting, even moreso since he’s also literally a neighbor of mine, located no more than 15-20 miles from where I live. Troubling doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it.

And that’s only the personal side of all this. Bottom line is, there’s some seriously unsavory shit going on, and it is now or soon will be on everyone’s agenda, not just one poor ol’ blogger and his spouse. The Überstate’s (Not)Vaxx goon squads are out and about, and they’re all around us. No matter who you are, no matter where you are, they’re coming for you. As Wes said, they are slowly but surely backing good people into a corner.

By now y’all know what I always say about these malefactors: They will not stop; they will have to BE stopped. As they relentlessly, arrogantly snatch all other options away from us one after another, we will soon find ourselves left with but one last, desperate resort. I don’t have to tell you folks what that is. I don’t know what I can possibly do to assist Wes, what any of us can do. What I DO know is that the inflection point, the hour of decision, is nigh upon us all. And none of us—not Wes, not me, not you —should have to face it alone.

Spicy time cometh, and that right soon. Gird your loins, people. Be ready.

I repeat: who they are, what they do

Yet another one that could just as well have been an update to an earlier post, but I thought should be broken out into a new one.

Get Vaccinated – or Else
The Left wants to make life hell for the non-compliant.

In other news, dog bites man.

Nothing triggers Democrats quite like non-compliance with their collectivist agenda, because for all their blustery blather about saving democracy from fascist Trump supporters, and beneath their micro-thin veneer of “tolerance and inclusiveness,” Progressives are totalitarians. The slightest resistance to their transformative, utopian vision elicits authoritarian rage. Case in point: the left has run out of patience with Americans who are resisting the COVID-19 vaccination.

At the end of June, the propaganda rag The New York Times published an opinion piece whose title signaled the left’s growing frustration with the vaccine skeptics: “Vaccine Mandates Are Coming. Good.” Last weekend, The St. Louis Dispatch posted a letter that captured the mood of the totalitarians even more honestly. It was titled, “Enough already. Punish those who refuse the vaccine.”

Last Saturday on CNN, Leana Wen, former president of Planned Parenthood, tried to make the coercive case that life should be made difficult for those deplorable holdouts who still haven’t caved in to the increasing social and governmental pressure to receive a vaccine shot. “It needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated,” Wen stated baldly. “Right now, it’s kind of the opposite. Basically, we need to make getting vaccinated the easy choice.”

You would think that someone who ran an organization whose mantra was “my body, my choice” would be more supportive of Americans who are justifiably reluctant to accept an emergency-authorized-but-not-FDA-approved vaccine to combat a virus for which the survival rate hovers around 99%. But no. The left is determined to decide what choice you get to make, and when.

Who. They. ARE. What. They. DO.

“It’s time for Biden to make the case for vaccine requirements,” Wen wrote on July 6 at the radical Washington Post, where she is an opinion contributor. She went on to lament that the White House’s Fourth of July celebration “could have been a chance to show that vaccination isn’t just an individual decision, but one that affects the health of others — including those already vaccinated.” That’s odd: shouldn’t the already-vaccinated be unaffected by the health of others?

The entertainment-media complex demonizes holdouts as too stupid to see the wisdom of unquestioningly accepting the government’s free-and-easy vaccine. Moronic Joy Behar, hateful co-host of the long-running, daytime gab-fest The View, opined recently that teenagers should be allowed to get vaccinated without the consent of their unwoke, “ignorant parents.” Funny how the left is always trying to drive a wedge between impressionable children and their un-Progressive parents, like offering them birth control or hormone therapy to get them started transitioning to a different sex.

Tuesday on CNN’s OutFront, former Obama administration Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said that Americans who have not received their “Fauci ouchie” should not be allowed to go to work or be around children, and should be restricted in their movements.

I have a counterproposal for dear ol’ Kathleen and her fellow ProgNazis: she or her minions try to “restrict my movements,” they get a blast of double-ought buck right in their pinched, smarmy yaps in response. Lather, rinse, repeat, until they’re all reducing to quivering, blubbering ragbags at the mere sight of me and/or mine within a hundred yards of wherever they might be skulking—indoors or out, in public or in private, at home or elsewhere. That work for y’all?

Sebelius and her fellow totalitarians don’t understand that freedom-loving Americans have a kneejerk resistance to being pressured and threatened by the government, particularly when that government has demonstrated lethal incompetence in handling the pandemic, and when its medical “experts” have a political agenda and regularly contradict and/or refuse to abide by their own recommendations.

I beg to differ. They understand it full well, don’t like it, and aren’t going to put up with it now that they believe their hold on unrestricted power can never be broken by us lowly serfs.

The fact is, the COVID-19 pandemic is about government control of the populace, and has been from the very beginning when it was seized upon by the left as a strategy to torpedo Donald Trump’s 2020 election chances. Now that the Democrats hold the reins of political power, they continue to use it to manipulate Americans to live in fear and to accept greater and greater government control over every aspect of their lives. The totalitarian left needs to exaggerate and perpetuate the threat of this virus. It empowers them.

Bingo. It continues to amuse me, the way so many of those putatively on our side blithely gloat on and on about how all this demonstrates how “desperate” they are; how uncertain their position is; how much they “fear us” (because of “muh guns” or something). Sadly, no. I hold this truth to be self-evident: these despicable curs don’t fear us anywhere NEAR enough. That needs to change, just as quickly as it can be made to happen, as noted anti-socialism writer John Basil Barnhill warned:

In 1914, a version of the “fear” quote was delivered by John Basil Barnhill an author and lecturer engaged in a debate against Socialism in the form of a series of battling articles sponsored by the National Rip Saw Publishing Company in St. Louis Missouri, who said:

“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

Barnhill went on to warn the public of this new and liberty-destroying message of Socialism which claimed Capitalism to be the source of the current (1914) economic woes. Barnhill rather, placed the blame on monopoly.

It is amazing how the narrative has not changed in over a hundred years. Keep in mind, this debate took place before the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 and the subsequent evidence of the results of Socialism and Communism. This is also the general period of the writings of C.S. Lewis, G.K. Chesterton, Eric Voegelin, and Hilare Belloc–warning against the same dangers.

Wise men, all of them, who knew whereof they spoke. Present-day Americans must pay heed, before the liberty stolen from them by much lesser sorts is beyond retrieving.

5

Is “mind your own fucking business” a good enough reason for ya?

Because for me it sure is. Not that there aren’t plenty of others.

The “hesitant” – as people who aren’t interested in trusting the pharmaceutical cartels or the government to “keep them safe” from a sickness that doesn’t meaningfully threaten them are being styled – have more than just that reason to eschew the “vaccine” that’s being hard-sold like a time-share condo.

It is a reason that goes beyond everything being discussed – and yet isn’t being discussed much. Hence the importance of discussing it.

That reason is, simply,: If they can do it this time they can do it the next time. And the time after that, ongoing.

Which you can rest assured are only a little bit further on down this road we’re on. But Eric is after much bigger game here.

It is no longer merely the law that is the violator of natural rights. Corporations are now arguably a much greater threat to them since they aren’t even obliged to pass laws for that purpose. They can postulate policies – and these have the force and effect of laws in a system such as ours, because corporations control practically all employment and the peripheral things that are necessary to employment, such as banks – without which it is rather difficult to get paid by a corporate employer or even do business independently of corporate employment.

If these corporations set forth a policy that everyone who is employed by the corporation or wishes to do business with the corporation must provide proof they have been injected with whatever they say people must be injected with, then it becomes extremely difficult for most people to decline to be injected because most people have to work in order to live.

And they have to work – to the end of their lives – because of the government, which steals a third to half of what they earn and then steals more, endlessly, in the form of such things as what are styled “taxes” applied to their very homes, such that they can only remain in those home so long as they continue paying the “taxes”  – which obliges almost all of them to work until they die. Which applies tremendous economic pressure to submit to whatever the corporations that employ the majority of them require they submit to.

Fait meets accompli.

Some will defend the supposed “right” of “private” corporations to impose whatever policies they wish but this is a suicidally idiotic defense of the primary thing destroying the  concept of private property. Corporations are government property, in the first place. Creations of government, for purposes that benefit the government and the corporations – always at a cost to natural rights. It’s just their policy – and you’re free to work somewhere else! Except everywhere else has the same policies – and they are all protected by the same government.

If most people weren’t so enserfed by a system that keeps them that way by violating their right to property at every turn, the property of their bodies would not be threatened at every turn. They could say no – without repercussions – because their right to say no would be regarded as the natural law, as it once was.

Instead, we have case law – and now a case is being made to compel everyone to roll up their sleeves for this “vaccine.” Which will become the next “vaccine,” once the precedent is established. Which will set the precedent for the literal surrender of control over our very bodies to the government-corporate nexus, for whatever “treatment” they decide we require.

Like animals being taken to the vet.

And that is why principled refusal is so critically important, the hill that must be defended at all costs – else it will cost us everything.

Precisely so. You never yield so much as a single solitary inch to Lefty or his “sacred” government. Because he’ll forever be coming back for more, again and again, until he’s taken absolutely everything. That’s who he is, it’s what he does.

Update!Get in line, get the jab or exit society.

Kathleen Sebelius, former Secretary of Health and Human Services under the Obama administration, has made some stunning remarks in regards to those who refuse to get the (authorized for emergency use only) Covid vaccines.

Talking to CNN, Sebelius said,

“We’re in a situation where we have a wildly effective vaccine, multiple choices, lots available, free of charge, and we have folks who are just saying I won’t do it. I think that it’s time to say to those folks, it’s fine if you don’t choose to get vaccinated. You may not come to work. You may not have access to a situation where you’re going to put my grandchildren in jeopardy. Where you might kill them, or you might put them in a situation where they’re going to carry the virus to someone in a high-risk position.”

If you are skeptical about their effectiveness, too bad!

If you are fearful of their many dangerous side effects including death, get over it!

If knowing you can still get Covid after getting the dangerous jab has turned you off, suck it up!

Looks like “my body, my choice” only applies to abortion, eh? Of course, there’s a much shorter way of saying what Sibelius and the rest of her loathsome ilk really mean: OBEY, OR BE PUNISHED.

Leggo my…ummm…

Lego? SRSLY?

A mere thirty-six hours after I interviewed Julie Kelly and Mollie Hemingway about the Lego Insurrection, the United States Government filed a “supplemental memorandum” with the Court:

In the original detention memoranda, the undersigned stated that law enforcement found a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set.” Please note that after a review of the photographs from the search, there appears to have been a miscommunication and that statement appears to be inaccurate. The Lego set was in a box and not fully constructed at the time of the search, as pictured below.

Judging from the picture below, “not fully constructed” is a characteristically DoJ evasion for “not constructed at all”. See for yourself: as we do with Mann vs Steyn and Katz vs Steyn, at SteynOnline we like to post the original court documents.

“The undersigned” is Assistant US Attorney Melissa Jackson. Inventing eye-catching “evidence” that catches the fancy of the world’s media would be a big no-no if you did it, but it appears to be standard operating procedure at the Department of “Justice”. And, oddly enough, all the news outlets that reported on the horror of the smoking Lego gun of the Lego Capitol have failed to correct their breathless reports about the “fully constructed” building.

The United States has more corrupt prosecutors than the rest of the “free world” combined: whether you’re talking about Cosby and Epstein or the FISA court, what would be a disqualifying “lack of candor to the tribunal” in most Common Law systems is just the way these guys do business.

Mr Morss’ latest bail hearing is tomorrow: There is no reason for him to be behind bars for another seven months. Which is the prosecutors’ earliest estimate of a trial date – although, of course, in the end there will be no trial: The point of gaoling someone for over a year supposedly to await his constitutionally guaranteed speedy trial is that it’s much easier to lean on him to “settle”. There’s a reason the DoJ wins 97 per cent of its cases without trial.

This is an evil and indefensible system. To those rock-ribbed conservative talk-show hosts insisting that they know all the good patriotic men and women at the FBI and it’s just a few bad apples at the top, I ask again: Where is there a single G-man who has objected to the Bureau’s degeneration into enforcers for the Deep State? Browbeating George Papadopoulos’ wife into losing her baby. Abusing Roger Stone’s elderly wife. Stringing along with the #BLM fake noose. And now faking headline bollocks out of a Lego set. Every FBI agent has gone along with all of the above.

It would be nice if some of those so-called Republican legislators demanded some accountability from federal “justice”, wouldn’t it?

Ah, but they’re waiting for the Durham Report! Durham will get ’em, wait and see! Any day now!

Oh, you just go ahead and snark away, smart guy. You’ll be talking out the other side of your mouth after we retake Congress in ’22, then re-elect Trump (again) in ’24.

Hey, it could happen. In another country, on another planet, in another galaxy, in another dimensional interstice. You betcher!

The unbridgeable abyss

The parable of the wolf and the dog is entirely too apt.

French poet Jean de la Fontaine elegantly illustrated the human condition through his Fables, one of which named “The Wolf and the Dog” involves a famished wolf who spotted a well-fed guard dog and conversed with him, since the dog was too healthy to be an easy prey.

The guard dog tells the wolf to leave the forest and come work for the dog’s masters in return for abundant food, shelter, and the occasional pat on the head. The wolf seems almost convinced but then notices the dog’s collar.

“What is that?,” he asks the dog.

“Oh, that,” says the dog. “It’s just my leash… my masters tie me up when they don’t need me to guard their livestock.”

The wolf is horrified: “You mean you are not allowed to run the hills and go wherever you like?”

“Well, no, but what’s so important about that,” says the dog. “As long as I’m fed, sheltered and looked after?”

And the wolf replies as he backs away, “I don’t mind spending some of my days on an empty stomach and would never surrender my freedom for any treasure.”

There are two kinds of people whose respective worldviews clash for dominance: those who value the immaterial and those who value the material. The latter seems to be the more popular side.

T’was ever thus, and t’will ever be. Now perhaps more than ever it’s crucial for Team Liberty to keep that inescapable reality in mind; it’s just part of the human condition, really, and the abyss it represents will forever yawn before us. Big-picture-wise, it all boils down to the eternal conflict between A) the fearful Many, who are eager to place their fates in the hands of (what they hope will turn out to be) a benelovent master; and B) the doughty Few, who prefer to seek their own path, run their own lives, and forge their own destiny with as little interference from or supervision by official authority as possible.

It is virtually impossible to argue with the pro-vaccine passport people and vice versa because we simply are two distinct kinds of people and such people cannot agree on anything because their priorities are radically different. Those against the vaccine passport and microchips inserted in our bodies are merely arguing for individual freedom and the right to be free to make decisions concerning our own bodies.

These people (the pro vaccine passport types) do not want to consider that the passport is a proxy, a method to filter out the compliant from the non-compliant, most probably for later punishment by this world’s corporate overlords. Those obedient will have their vaccine passport to show and will be left to placidly graze the corporate fields of consumerism.

At the same time the passport will serve to designate those who do not carry it as de facto diseased, to be avoided, shunned, and persecuted, even though no proof exists that they are either ill or are voluntarily spreading any disease. If you do not have a vaccine passport, you are a criminal. Period.

Our corporate overlords assume we are just like them, evil inside and out, and intent on harming others by spreading contagious illnesses like Covid.

Disagree. I think they perceive us not as “like them” at all, but simply as sheep to be herded, corraled, and sheared. I strongly doubt there are many, if any, of those corporate types who aren’t fully awake to the Fauxvid scam by now. Make no mistake, folks: as with their government partners in crime, the “concern” of those corporate overlords in no way involves keeping anybody from harm. It’s about keeping everybody corraled, submissive, and under their control.

Found via a commenter here, who quips “I am a trans-vaxxite. (I am not vaccinated but identify as vaccinated. And if you do not like it, you are a trans-phobe. Let us use their methods against them.)” Heh. I’m with ya all the way on that one, Alex.

Carpe De Nation

Kunstler would kind of like his country back.

Something tells me there are still too many sane people with a sense of humor left in this tormented land for the flunkies of “progressive” Wokery to achieve the total control they seek over the hundred-million, give or take, who are starting to think: Y’know, I’d kind of like my country back. And what country was that? It was the country we were before the Intel “Community” took over, in the service of an utterly corrupt political elite running the system like it was their personal cash register.

About that country I would like back… for starters, the country that valued the rule-of-law. Yes, I know, that’s awfully high-toned — the rule of law — as if one is invoking some clichéd bronze blindfolded babe in a negligee, hoisting a scale in one hand and a sword in the other. I’m thinking, rather, of a flesh-and-blood judge, perhaps a corpulent fellow with bad knees, of, say, the DC federal court, who would dare to throw out the malicious political prosecution of figures like General Flynn or the journalist Julian Assange… or an FBI that would make a criminal referral for sedition against Senator Mark Warner… or a newspaper editor who might be interested in the connection between Marc Elias’s Lawfare outfit at Perkins Coie and the Central Intelligence Agency. One could go on endlessly with the pungent hypotheticals. So much evil mischief has not been seen in one polity since Berlin, 1938.

Anyway, the country we live in now no longer observes the rule of law because it has become a security state like the former Soviet bloc states, with a rogue Intel “Community” that has hijacked the truck that the wheels of justice run on. Here’s a thought: do we know for sure whether the CIA might have been involved in the late, lamentable 2020 election? Wow, that’s outside the box! But, hey, why not? Think of all the fakery they are so capable of engineering, and consider how avid they were to get rid of that pain-in-the-ass Donald Trump (who wanted to get rid of them!), and also consider that there is really no check on their activities whatsoever because the supervising authorities are 1) Adam Schiff’s House Intel Committee (bwaha!), and 2) the aforementioned seditious scoundrel Mark Warner’s Senate Intel Committee. These two are so owned by the CIA that they must have a standing weekly TGIF session to peel grapes for the C-suite at Langley.

Some savvy 2020 election skeptics are pointing at China as possibly having interfered in the election that installed their pre-paid errand-boy “Joe Biden” in the White House — but what if the real action was actually closer to home? And why wouldn’t the CIA queer the election and then set up China to take the blame, since China is already in America’s dog-house for gifting the world with SARS-Covid-19 and its lovely variants? Just wondering… just asking… maybe the thought has crossed your mind, too.

Have you groked that the virus affords such wonderful opportunities for exercising state coercion over a spooked public? Just yesterday, Sec’y of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra declared that it is, “absolutely the government’s business to know who’s been vaccinated.” Of course, it’s as much the public’s business to know what the correct figure is for Covid cases and deaths, as well as adverse mRNA reactions and deaths. And, just for instance, two counties in California recently revised down their overall case numbers for the whole virus melodrama by 20 percent — so many cases were just hospitals gaming the federal bureaucracy for higher subsidy pay-outs keyed to the virus. And, after a month of getting bashed around for lying about this and that, America’s chief Covid-19 health officer, Anthony Fauci (“The Science”) has gone back on cable TV telling the country to “get over it.” Their vax “hesitancy,” he means. Why would anyone besides the sebaceous Chris Hayes on MSNBC believe him?

Another feature about the country I would like back is the freedom to live without the harassment of Woked-up useful idiots working day and night to destroy the very meaning of language while hustling American culture, tradition, and heritage into its “anti-racist” gas chamber.

Yeah, well, hate to have to bring it up and all, but there’s only one way THAT is ever going to happen; as has been demonstrated for us time and again, ad infinitum ad nauseum, they’re never going to stop. Which brings us back around once more to the ultimate question: exactly how much DO we want our country back, anyways?

Step by step, inch by inch

Checking all the boxes, one by one by one.

This 1963 report on how the Communist Party wanted to take over America is so relevant for today that it’s unreal
A part of me has to admire the fiendish persistence and patience of the commies seeking to overthrow liberty. They’ve been pushing for decades toward a common goal, and the fruit of their poisonous effort has now infiltrated every major institution in the United States in addition to our local churches and schools.

This 1963 Congressional report on the goals of the Communist Party in the U.S. shows how tenacious they have been in world-shaping. You may find yourself shocked to see how long they’ve had the goals that are now changing America.

Speak for yourself, buddy. Those goals were in place from the start, baked right into the Commie cake, and the Rooskies doggedly worked the plan throughout the USSR’s abominable existence, with plenty of assistance right along from American useful idiots. No part of this any reasonably intelligent person who’s been paying attention should find shocking in the slightest. The only shock here is that the rest of us sat complacently back and allowed them to get away with it. A few specifics from the report, which runs to a total of 45 depressing bullet points:

  • Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
  • Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.
  • Capture one or both of both political parties in the United States.
  • Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
  • Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
  • Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, and policymaking positions.
  • Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
  • Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. And American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.”
  • Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy”
  • Infiltrate the churches and replace religion with “social” religion.
  • Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs.
  • Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
  • Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.”

If you wanted to make this look MORE like the modern Democrat-Socialist Party platform, I can’t imagine how you’d go about doing it. “Unreal,” did you say? Sorry, but it’s all TOO.

“Our bossy society is completely losing sight of the value of risky behavior”

Gee, ya think? Yet again: not an accident, not a coincidence. Part. Of. The. Plan.

Most of today’s regulatory framework for alcohol traces back to the immediate post-Prohibition years. The basic assumption was that alcohol consumption is bad but unavoidable. The goal, then, was to regulate in ways that led people to drink less, via high taxes and inconveniences, without returning to the bootleggers and speakeasies of the disastrous Prohibition era.

Though things have lightened up a bit since then, that’s still the basic philosophy today. Alcohol discussions tend to turn on things like liver damage, impaired driving, violence and so on.

These negative consequences are real. But as Slingerland makes clear, they aren’t the whole story. There are a lot of less-heralded positives.

All simply part of the yin-yang tug-of-war that suffuses every last aspect of life on this planet. A properly Constitution-calibrated government would never dream in interfering in such niggling personal choices, without reference to either negative or positive consequences as justification. That’s because a properly Constitution-calibrated government would know that such choices are simply none of the government’s business, and would therefore stay in its own lane.

Of course, drinking isn’t all upside, but that isn’t the point. The point is that it’s not all downside, either — yet we regulate it, essentially, as if it were. We need a more balanced approach.

And it isn’t just alcohol. As our culture has veered in an increasingly bossy and punitive direction, the tolerance for any sort of downside is vanishing. The “playground movement” at the beginning of the last century argued “better a broken arm than a broken spirit.” Today’s society takes a different approach.

Just letting children play unsupervised outdoors can draw a visit from Child Protective Services nowadays, and bureaucrats aren’t the least bit concerned with protecting the children from having their spirit broken by too little play.

During the pandemic, we saw a degree of safety-ism that discounted the value of humans getting together in the face of tiny or even notional risks, leading to absurdities like ocean paddle-boarders being arrested for paddling maskless. There’s much more value in the activity than risk in being unmasked at sea.

The list of cases where killjoys focus excessively on the negative is huge, and anyone reading this can think of many examples. But what do we do about it?

Oh, that’s the easiest question of all to answer, although in perfect accord with that tug-of-war between yin and yang thing I mentioned earlier, it simultaneously presents us with the toughest choice: kill the killjoys, until the ones we haven’t gotten around to yet are too terrified to open their fat yaps ever again.

Putting the helots in their place

This benighted country is nothing more than a sick, unfunny joke.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem took aim at the Biden administration from Mount Rushmore Sunday after federal officials this year rejected her bid to host a Fourth of July fireworks show at the famed monument.

Fireworks were reintroduced at Mount Rushmore for the first time since 2009 last year under Donald Trump, but the National Park Service (NPS) denied Noem’s permit request earlier this year. The NPS cited health reasons relating to coronavirus, wildfire risks, environmental concerns, and ongoing construction at the federal landmark — which is not set to be concluded by the Fourth of July.

Noem, a Republican, filed a lawsuit challenging the NPS decision.

“After telling us they’d ‘circle back,’ the Biden Administration has not responded to our request to uphold the Memorandum Agreement between the State of South Dakota and the National Parks Service to host a safe and responsible national celebration and fireworks show,” Noem wrote.

A federal judge rejected the challenge, ruling officials were justified in their decision.

But weeks after her bid was rejected to host the Independence Day fireworks display at Mount Rushmore, the Biden administration unveiled plans this month to host a similar display at the White House.

“What a hypocrite. President @JoeBiden wants “a summer of freedom” where we “mark independence from the virus by celebrating with events across the country,” Noem tweeted on June 15. “Translation: fireworks are fine at the White House, but not at Mount Rushmore.”

Mark “independence” from TheVirusTheVirusTheVirus!!™ by…banning the Mt Rushmore fireworks display because of TheVirusTheVirusTheVirus!!™, huh? Frankly, that’s about as perfect an in-your-face and upfront confirmation of where we now stand as I can think of. All the ingredients are there:

  • The irrational, supine cowardice of the Branch Covidians being played on by FederalGovCo out of pure pettiness and spite
  • The arrogant muscle-flexing of our patently illegitimate Occupation Government
  • The trotting out of the clapped-out Covid Con yet again as a display of authority FederalGovCo doesn’t lawfully possess but wields nonetheless
  • The smug, nearly boastful show of for-me-but-not-for-thee hypocrisy so typical of these vermin

Yep, this story really has it all.

What Noem ought to do is hoist a big, far middle finger in the general direction of Mordor On The Potomac and all its orcs by announcing she’s going to throw the biggest July Fourth party she can put together anydamnedway, then hold a press conference in which she explicitly dares DC’s dimestore dictators to do something about it. In addition to being riotously funny, a challenge like that from the Gov would be a most excellent way to declare the primacy of the heretofore-abandoned Founding principle of States’ Rights as well. But I won’t be holding my breath waiting for any such thing, and neither should you.

It just goes to reinforce my own long-held conviction that there is absolutely nothing to be celebrated on the Fourth of July, other than maybe to pay our respects to the achievements of much better men than ourselves. It ought to be considered a national day of mourning, until Real Americans have reclaimed their birthright, retaken their freedom, and re-established a national government that at least somewhat resembles the one they were bequeathed. Until such time, Independence Day only amounts to just another day off work, an excuse to throw some burgers on the grill and quaff lots of beer, nothing more.

Safetyism Nation

NOTE: I was working on this as an update to last night’s “Pursuing invariably etc” post, but didn’t get done with it till just now. So it made more sense to just break it out into a new post. Enjoy.

A risk-averse society is an unhappy, mentally unhealthy society.

As many observers have noted, staying safe has become a religion. “Safetyism,” as it is sometimes called, like all religions, places what it values — in this case, being safe — above other values. Safetyism explains the willingness of Americans to give up their most cherished values — including liberty — in the name of safety for the last year and a half.

Millions of Americans not only gave up their right to go to work, earn a living, attend church or synagogue, and visit friends and relatives, but they even gave up their right to visit dying relatives and friends. One can assume that nearly every person recorded as having died of COVID-19 died without having a single loved one at their bedside from the moment they entered a hospital until their death. The acceptance of such cruelty — irrational and unscientific cruelty, one might add — can only be explained by the failure of generations of schools and parents to teach liberty, while successfully teaching the worship of safety. If your father had to die alone, it was worth it for the sake of safety; if your mother had to be in what amounted to solitary confinement in a nursing home for more than a year, that, too, was worth it for the sake of safety. And, of course, if political leaders and leaders in science and medicine have to lie for the sake of safety, so be it; truth, too, is less important than safety.

None of this is new. Twenty-five years ago, I wrote and broadcast about the willingness of Americans to watch individual rights crushed in the war against smoking, and especially in accepting the absurdity of the allegedly lethal dangers of secondhand smoke. No one denies that intense exposure to secondhand smoke can exacerbate preexisting illnesses such as asthma. But the anti-smoking zealots’ claim that 50,000 Americans die each year from exposure to secondhand smoke is nonsense. For example, in 2013, the Journal of the National Cancer Institute reported that there was no statistically significant relationship between lung cancer and exposure to passive smoke.

What is important to note is that these irrational prohibitions on personal liberty bothered no one except smokers. The number of nonsmoking citizens of Burbank who objected to these laws was probably zero. Had Burbank announced a ban on alcohol, there would have been a revolt — despite the fact that at least half the instances of spouse- and child-abuse are accompanied by alcohol, and every instance of death, brain damage, paralysis and other permanent injury caused by a drunk driver is caused by alcohol. Has anyone been killed by a smoking driver? Has anyone been murdered, or any child or spouse been molested or beaten because the murderer or abuser had been smoking?

So, the safety zealots learned from the anti-smoking and anti-secondhand smoke crusade the great lesson that if you told Americans something wasn’t safe, you could deprive them of their rights and they would willingly go along with it. And, for the record, this is equally true in virtually every country in the world. “Safety uber alles.”

They didn’t only learn this lesson from the anti-smoking fanatics. For two generations now, safety has increasingly deprived Americans of joys as well as freedoms. Children, in particular, have been so coddled that American children of the last two generations have probably had far less joy and far more fear than children of any previous American generation. Young children cannot take walks on their own lest child protective services be called; diving boards, once found on nearly every home swimming pool, are widely banned; and monkey bars and seesaws have been removed from playgrounds. As an article in the Australian website Babyology headlined: “Monkey bars are dangerous and must be removed from playgrounds, experts say.”

Two Norwegian scientists, Ellen Sandseter (Queen Maud University College of Early Childhood Education) and Leif Kennair (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), wrote a study on children and risky play published in Evolutionary Psychology in which they concluded: “We may observe an increased neuroticism or psychopathology in society if children are hindered from partaking in age-adequate risky play.”

You can live a safe life. Or you can live a full life. You can’t live both.

Yup. It’s an old, old story by now—a true disgrace to any nation with the temerity to proudly misnomer itself “free,” in contradiction of the self-evident reality. And, well, here we all are.

Helmet laws; seatbelt laws; smoking bans; ignition lock-outs on riding lawnmowers that shut the thing down every time you have to step off to move a fallen branch, a big, blade-chomping rock, or some other obstruction. Soldering irons that won’t get hot enough to melt solder. Gas cans that won’t pour gas. Numerous automobile-related encroachments, including headlights that stay on even during daylight hours, drastically shortening the life of ever-spendier bulbs; side windows that can only be opened halfway; and all the annoying bells, chimes, and flashing lights to nag you if you’re not fully in step with every government edict when you shift into D.

Roadside DUI Checkpoint Chickies all over the place, something which was once considered an outrageous, Soviet-style intrusion but is now docilely accepted as necessary and just. Chainsaws that can’t chainsaw, thanks to mandatory “safety chains” as standard equipment. Blood alcohol-level limits that disallow a person of average body mass from having a single beer with dinner and then driving home afterward, lest he have his life ruined for decades thanks to a “drunk driving” charge—not because he was actually impaired, or even barely buzzed, but just because the Almighty Safety State decrees it.

Parents actually thrown in the clink for allowing the young ‘uns to play outdoors without constant supervision; yes, this really is a thing now, alas. Here in NC, a law forbidding kids under sixteen to be taken for a country-lane joyride in the back of dad’s old pickup—something my neighborhood crew used to look forward to every summer Sunday afternoon, after the weekly all-hands softball game and before the big grill-out and ice-cream churn that closed out the festivities on a sweet note. It was a wonderful thing, an all-American community-building tradition that allowed kids to enjoy spending time with not just family but all the neighbors and their kids as well. And now it’s gone for good.

All this overregulation, close-in monitoring, and smothering Nanny-Statery—all this, and plenty more besides—is of a piece, inflicted on once-free Americans by busybodies with a broader agenda concealed behind a thin scrim of Safetyist “concern.” It’s neither accident nor coincidence that Safetyism zealots are almost universally shitlibs; it’s been the case from the very beginning of the contemptible Safety Nazi movement. Nor is it an accident that this meddling is forever expanding. Their work is never quite done, their mission never accomplished; as is typical of such types, they’re always on a search for the next crusade, their next masterpiece of social engineering.

That’s because it was never really about safety but about control, the irreducible mania of every Leftist. They’re all well aware that a cowed, fearful, risk-averse populace will accept the bit much more readily than their more adventuresome fellows. Keep ’em scared, and you can keep ’em under your thumb forever.
