Shut up, he explained

Another complaint about Trump’s Tweeting.

In a surprising rebuke Thursday, Attorney General William Barr criticized President Donald Trump’s tweets about Roger Stone’s case and other Justice Department matters.

“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr told ABC News’ Pierre Thomas in an interview.

Trump on Tuesday blasted federal prosecutors’ recommendation that Stone serve up to nine years in prison for a conviction that stemmed from a case that started under the special counsel.

I doubt Barr is gonna get very far with that one, although I must also say I can somewhat understand his concern. As supportive as I’ve been all along of Trump’s deft, canny use of Twitter, Barr could have a point.

In essence Bill Barr is working to emphasize there’s no undue influence, and also emphasize the appearance of no undue influence. The problem, however, is that the media will create the impression of influence even if, and despite the reality of, no Trump influence.

Nothing Bill Barr does and/or says will stop the media from falsely creating a narrative that says President Trump and Bill Barr are colluding to target their political opposition.

With that reality in mind, the answers in the ABC interview as delivered by Bill Barr only pour fire on a furnace of media intent to controversialize President Trump’s communication approach.

Barr’s intention may have been good (albeit selfish), but declaring that President Trump’s free speech and opinion as an impediment to Barr’s ability is just nonsense.

Yep, pretty much. Ultimately, though, there’s a solution to Barr’s dilemma, one which is simplicity itself:

Right out of the damned park, girlfriend!

Night of the long knives

Quoth Hoft: “It’s payback time.” It damned sure is. And will be for a long, long time to come, too.

Earlier today four Mueller attorneys resigned from the Roger Stone case. This was after the DOJ lashed out at the Mueller investigators for its abusive sentencing recommendation for Roger Stone.

All four prosecutors signed Roger Stone’s sentencing memo seeking an excessive prison term of 7 to 9 years and all four are now off the case.

During his conversation with Lou Dobbs Devin Nunes teases corruption of Deep State will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Rep. Devin Nunes: Let me tell you something else…The lawyers who stepped down today the prosecutors who suggested 7 to 9 for Roger Stone. We believe that this is not going to be the only example. We believe there is other examples of things they did during the Mueller investigation that I think you and your listeners and the American people will be very interested to learn in the coming weeks. As we start to unpeel the onion of what the Mueller team was really doing. Because I would say this, when Mueller was appointed we have to ask ourselves, he walks in the door the first day and he said, “OK, show me all the evidence you got on the Russians?” They’re like, “Bob, sorry we don’t have any Russians here. We don’t have any evidence.” So what the hell did they do for two years? They set up an obstruction of justice trap. And they went after a whole lot of people who have now got sentenced. Some already served their time. And I think all of this has to be called into question now.

I’ve heaped praise on Nunes here several times before, which he richly deserves. He’s been a real bulldog right along; his work on the Mueller farce, Schittpeachment, et al was nothing less than stellar. So if he says more fecal matter is about to impact the rotary impeller for reals…well, let’s just say I’d be more inclined to take his word for it than damned near anybody else’s. He’s solid, he’s fearless, he’s honest. If anybody can be trusted to haul the Deep State/Ogabe/Clinton sleaze and corruption out into the full light of day by the scruff of its filthy neck, it’s Devin Nunes.

Gloves: still OFF

Trump unleashed.

The Trump administration has removed 70 Obama holdovers at the National Security Council (NSC), Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard reported on Monday.

The Trump administration has removed 70 Obama holdovers at the National Security Council (NSC), Washington Examiner columnist Paul Bedard reported on Monday.

The administration removed Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry, from his post at the NSC last week. It also removed his twin brother Yevgeny, who worked as a lawyer on the NSC.

While Vindman has denied knowing the identity of the “whistleblower,” he has been suspected of being a leaker in the past.

A good enough start, to be sure. But Booboo Vindaloo of right ought to be sitting in prison for that leaking, among several other things, and I for one won’t be truly satisfied until he is. There’s a bunch of other news along these same lines out there today; I’ll shift you over to Sefton’s morning roundup for all that stuff, and limit myself to this one.

President Donald Trump’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2021 includes sweeping cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Commerce, and foreign aid, the White House announced Sunday.

The budget cuts funding to the EPA by 26%, foreign aid by 21%, and the DOC by 37%, though the majority of that could be attributed to the completion of the 2020 census.

For the first time, the fiscal year 2021 budget will feature a chapter devoted entirely to eliminating “wasteful” government spending, as previously reported by Daily Caller.

The proposal targets agencies with overlapping and similar goals, agencies that provide similar or identical services to the same group of recipients, programs without a clearly defined federal role, federal programs that mirror state-level initiatives and erroneous payments.

Now, you might say that this doesn’t really matter much, and you’d be more or less right about that; none of it has the proverbial snowball’s chance of being implemented. Any President’s budget proposal is just that: a proposal. The House holds the pursestrings, and the House is currently in the hands of Guess Who. The odds of them paying a second’s worth of attention to what Trump asks for in any imaginable circumstance currently stand somewhere between “zero” and “you must be joking.”

Nonetheless, I still like it anyway. If nothing else, it’s yet another signal to Real Americans that their President is still engaged, still doing battle on their behalf, still undaunted and aggressively making whatever moves he can towards fulfilling his promises to them. The political PR benefits come November should be pretty obvious. It’s also a timely warning shot across the Democrat-Socialist bow that he’s stood up to the worst they could throw at him so far, yet somehow the band still plays “Hail To The Chief” whenever he enters a room. Rubbing their noses so thoroughly in last week’s humiliating crash ‘n’ burn like that, again and again, has tremendous psy-ops value, if nothing else.

Why no, I am NOT tired of all the winning yet.

The biggest question of them all

Boy, talk about questions the Democrat-Socialists don’t want to see asked.

At what point is it fair to say that a political faction presents a threat to the country?

Wherever that point may lie, I think we can safely say that we’re well past it now. Heck, they’ve been all but openly telling us for a goodish while now; it’s probably about time Americans start taking them at their word, and responding accordingly.

This question loomed over impeachment week, which saw the country struggling to digest a disorienting series of dramatic contrasts. First we had the Democrats’ demoralizing meltdown in Iowa, followed by Trump’s  optimistic but sometimes staid State of the Union Tuesday night and his subsequent victory over impeachment. All of that was followed by the president’s formless, angry victory speech against his enemies on Thursday.

In a way, Trump’s State of the Union was “fake.” Most of those addresses are forgettable by design, but this time convention was taken to the limit. Trump’s address was solemn, uplifting, and occasionally boring. The theme, a “Great American Comeback,” powerfully evoked a yearning for national renewal, as Trump predicted, “the best is yet to come.”

But the elephant in the room, of necessity, was left out of the speech: the gravest threat to the State of our Union is internal

…Trump was not there (the victory speech—M) for a speech or a news conference, he said, but to celebrate. But what he had to say was terribly sad. President Trump has spent the majority of his first term fighting a war of succession. To the ruling class, Trump’s election was a catastrophe like no other in American history because it placed a man who they had not vetted in the halls of power. They responded by taking the country on a deranged, three-year detour through Eastern Europe.

First it was a maundering Russian fever dream that held its target audience, the corporate leftist media, in rapt attention for the better part of two years, then a Ukranian soap opera that was somehow even more esoteric and insane. It was a joke from start to finish, but also it wasn’t. It did profound harm to the nation. Nothing like it has ever happened in American history.

Trump spoke about America the way that all presidents customarily spoke about it before America was taken over by people who obviously despise it.

In a normal country where the people’s priorities are paramount, his remarks would have been received with unanimous enthusiasm. But Democrats crabbed. Pelosi glowered the whole time, then petulantly ripped Trump’s speech in two at the finish. The media denounced Trump’s “partisan” tone, but what they clearly found most bothersome were his patriotic themes. The president gave a full-throated defense of America with zero apologies. Democrats proved how much they love America by hissing.

What they call dictatorship is a democratically elected president appearing, at least momentarily, to get the upper hand over a managerial elite. To them, it’s as if endless night has settled over the land. In this deep darkness, the only Republican they find palatable is Mitt Romney, because he does exactly what they tell him to do. This was never about the Constitution or Ukraine or military aid or Russia or what Trump said on a phone call or even Trump.

It was about power.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!! We have a winner!

The neat-o twist here is that the moment any faction demonstrates such maniacal lust for untrammeled power is also the moment the people must resolve to go to any lengths to ensure they never get it.

This one is a real scorcher, folks, a flat, no-bull statement of a stripe that’s somewhat unusual at American Greatness. Yes, it’s really nothing you guys haven’t seen plenty of already from Ye Olde Blogghoste here. Yes, AG hosts firebrands like Julie Kelly right alongside more sober and staid analysts like VDH and Codevilla. No, I would NOT call AG milquetoast, or timid, or even reserved, not at all. Still, to see a piece as explicit, maybe even radical, as this over at AG comes as a bit of a surprise, at least to me. An encouraging one, of course; the Democrat-Socialist threat to America’s future won’t ever be nullified via pulled punches and Queensberry rules. It will have to be widely acknowledged under its rightful name before we can hope to overcome it.

Reverting to form

The Vichy GOPe is already tired of all the winning.

Plan to probe Bidens sparks GOP divisions
President Trump and top allies have homed in on former Vice President Joe Biden’s push to oust a top Ukrainian prosecutor and Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian gas company, as they’ve sought to counterprogram on the sidelines of the months-long impeachment drama.

Now, with the trial in the rearview mirror, that chatter is set to move to center stage as Republicans strategize over their next steps. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a vocal ally of Trump’s, is pledging “oversight.”

Other GOP senators are warning that it’s time for the Senate to move on after a weeks-long divisive fight that left scars on the chamber’s normally clubby atmosphere.

“I know there’s been some discussion about the Judiciary Committee taking a look at that. I think what I would like to see happen around here is a return to normalcy,” said Sen. John Thune (S.D.), the No. 2 Republican senator, in response to a question from The Hill about talk within the caucus about investigating the Bidens.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), a member of Graham’s committee, asked if he had any interest in investigating the Bidens, said: “I think an election is the best way to handle that.”

I can’t improve on Bill’s response:

Here comes the GOPe wing of the Ruling Party, preparing to protect one of its own.

I say no.

The Democrat House has no intention of “moving on.” It intends to investigate any and everything possible that offers hope of somehow smearing Trump leading up to the election.

The issue, as that moron Cornyn seems to think, is not whether Trump wins the election or not, it is to uncover the nature of the corruption committed by Biden and others over which Trump was smeared and impeached.

The American people have a right to know what has been driving the war on Trump, who has been waging it, and why and how they have done so.

Pretending that is somehow no longer relevant or meaningful, that it is time to “just move on,” is a de facto admission that such corruption is acceptable, and that it will not be exposed or punished.

It’s a coverup. Don’t let them do it.

“Moving on,” covering up, and getting back to business as usual is the common cause that unites old-guard GOPers and their Democrat-Socialist “partners across the aisle.” Well, fuck them. The last three days have made it all too clear the degree to which the Shampeachment farce was inhibiting Trump, which was altogether too high. However, they also demonstrated that he knows full well how to fight and defeat them: when the cuffs came off, so did the gloves, and the result was several massively potent ass-whippings for the Democrat-Socialists, along with their shameful SOTU self-beclowning.

Keeping the enemy reeling and off-balance; aggressively exploiting his every mistake; short-circuiting his momentum by forcing him to react to YOU, never allowing him to seize the initiative himself; staying in his face, continually advancing on him and forcing him to backpedal, never giving him a moment to catch his breath or collect his thoughts; breaking his morale by mocking and humiliating him for his hapless, ineffectual boobery, which process can then lead to a cascade of escalating failure; in short, staying always on the offensive—that’s how you win.

American politics is no longer some kind of gentlemen’s parlor discussion, a civil contest between factions proceeding from an assumption of certain shared values and a base of mutual respect who, despite some comparatively minor differences, can eventually resolve those differences without rancor or resentment. This is now war to the knife between completely alienated foes whose differences and beliefs, being entirely contradictory at their root, can NEVER be reconciled. One side must win; one side must lose. There is either liberty, or there is tyranny. Back to the original piece from The Hill:

Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.), who got a shoutout from Trump during a White House event on Thursday, noted that Trump’s legal team had made an issue of it during the trial, where they repeatedly brought up Hunter Biden and Ukraine, but that he had “no particular interest in it myself.”

Better rethink that, bub. You may not be interested in Democrat-Socialist corruption, crime, and megalomania. But they are interested in YOU. To shrug your shoulders after having seen Trump and his family tormented, several of his associates’ and appointees’ lives destroyed forever, because of patently manufactured charges of doing exactly what the grubby Biden clan actually DID do, is to guarantee more and even worse whenever the Democrat-Socialist brats aren’t getting their way.

However sick we all may be of the endless merry-go-round of accusations, investigations, hearings, and the rest, this nation simply cannot afford that. And, sorry to have to be the one to tell ya, but guarding against it, fixing it, is what you signed up for when you ran for office. If you feel you’re not up to the job you need to resign, hightail it back home, and let someone who IS take your place.

When doing battle against an enemy as dedicated, implacable, and treacherous as the Democrat-Socialists, the time to sit back, rest on your laurels, and relax a bit is…well, basically, NEVER. Not until they are vanquished utterly, a state of affairs which can best be verified not from the volume of their lamentation—which is always high and shrill anyway—but by their shocked silence. Or, alternatively, their fearful pleas for mercy.

This next part makes plain that, though they inarguably had their asses kicked up between their shoulderblades this past week, this is not the time to pull any punches or stacking arms.

Senate Republicans aren’t the only ones planning follow-up investigations after impeachment.

House Democrats are weighing their own probes and haven’t ruled out subpoenaing former national security adviser John Bolton.

Make no mistake: the Democrat-Socialist palookas have absolutely NO intention of allowing Shampeachment Round 1 to be the end of their fight against Trump. They’ll keep right on, for just as long as they’re allowed to get away with it. Merely knocking them down once, twice, three times will never be enough. They must be crushed—pummeled ruthlessly, continually, and savagely, without mercy or remorse, until they’re so damned woozy and demoralized they can’t even lift their fucking heads off the canvas to crawl under the ropes and out of the ring.

A TKO or decision on points ain’t gonna cut it; they must be knocked the fuck OUT, then hauled to the showers on a stretcher with their head lolling and their tongue hanging out. Because if you let them back up, they’ll just try to take another poke at you.

Karma is a bitch

A big, mean, brass-plated one.

Donald Trump couldn’t have scripted it better himself: The Democratic Party’s karma knocked them right on the head this week as their countrymen watched in disgust—some, admittedly, in delight.

Ummm…okay, okay, that would be me.

After three years of deception, gaslighting, and public temper tantrums, these power-hungry partisans finally got their comeuppance. An assembly of agents provocateurs, motivated by an insatiable amount of contempt not just for the president but for Americans in general, who gambled on a farcical impeachment crusade rather than build a persuasive policy case to win over voters this year, are ranting and pouting and tearing up stuff because…well, because they are losing. If Nancy Pelosi could have thrown a pacifier from her Capitol high chair Tuesday night, she would have.

One of the Democrats’ biggest media mouthpieces, Chuck Todd of NBC News, was caught moaning off-camera that the party’s caucus confusion was an “effing disaster.” The party’s biggest fraud who promises she will end the country’s use of fossil fuels tried, unsuccessfully, to hide behind a campaign staffer after deplaning a private jet on a New Hampshire airport tarmac. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s primary rival, a Green New Deal architect and hater of modernity, did her one better: Senator Bernie Sanders waved to reporters in front of a carbon-emitting SUV that delivered him to the roaring engines of an even bigger carbon-emitting private jet.

But the hissy fit crescendoed into a shocking spectacle as Pelosi, second-in-line to the presidency of the United States under the Constitution, stood and with dramatic flair tore her copy of the State of the Union in half. For all the lows of the past few years—her incoherence, her inability to control her know-nothing freshman “squad,” her failure to come up with a realistic policy alternative to Trumpism, it was Pelosi’s lowest moment.

She ripped up a speech that showcased the best of America; achievements that no other country in the world can boast. Heroes of every color and economic background—patriots who have sacrificed so much, even their lives, in battle—and young future leaders.

Her display, however, gave away the result of the game. Just like her hometown football team, Pelosi has lost. She has been defeated by Donald Trump.

Trump now stands acquitted; the Democrats must confront the debacle that is their presidential primary field and run on a nonexistent record of achievement as the 2020 campaign season kicks off. Joe Biden, who confessed Wednesday morning that the Iowa outcome was a “punch” in the gut, will be the only real casualty of the Democrats’ impeachment rampage. Their best hope to beat Trump won’t finish the race because Democrats highlighted his son’s illicit business dealings as part of their impeachment gambit.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of assholes, I always say. Now Trump needs to “keep up the skeer,” stay on the offensive, and finish off this rotten abomination—this criminal syndicate masquerading as a legitimate political party—for good.

Gloves: OFF

You can’t win, Stretch. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

SUCK it, fuckfaces. Suck it good, suck it long, suck it hard. If you spit, you start again.

Ahh, but does it get even better? I thought you’d never ask: Both the HEROIC!!!™ Vindaloo Blue Falcons got their soft, doughy asses frogmarched out of the White House today:

Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman was fired from his job at the White House on Friday. He was not expected to leave his post in July, but the Washington Post reported Friday morning Vindman and “other national security officials who testified or cooperated with House Democrats” were being considered for dismissal. According to the earlier report, Trump discussed with aides removing officials he called “disloyal.” According to that earlier report, Vindman will be assigned a different position in the Department of Defense.

Vindman’s twin brother Lt. Col. Yevgeny Vindman, a National Security Council attorney, was also fired, and both were escorted off the White House grounds.

Too, too delicious.

Trump was asked about Lt. Col. Vindman earlier on Friday. “Well, I’m not happy with him. You think I’m supposed to be happy with him? I’m not.”

That said, Trump needs to proceed with caution when it comes to firing people who have testified against him. Trump should be able to trust that members of his administration aren’t trying to undermine him from within, but any mass firing of individuals could backfire on him politically.

Stuff, nonsense, and bullshit. This sort of thorough housecleaning is exactly what Trump was elected to do; on the contrary, after being unleashed via the implosion of the phony Shampeachment coup attempt, FAILING to follow through on his promise to drain the damned Swamp is what would cost him politically.

Thankfully, our God Emperor seems to harbor absolutely NO inclinations in that direction. But even with the joyous news of the Vindaloo bints getting the bum’s rush, the Greatest President In American History wasn’t finished yet.

Ambassador to the European Union Gordan Sondland announced Friday that he was being recalled from his post by President Donald Trump.

“I was advised today that the President intends to recall me effective immediately as United States Ambassador to the European Union,” he said in a statement.

Sondland testified in President Trump’s impeachment trial, informing members of Congress that in his mind he felt there was a quid quo relationship between the president’s decision to halt aid to Ukraine and convincing Ukrainian officials to announce an investigation into Hunter Biden and the corrupt gas company Burisma.

Okay, that’s GOTTA be about it, right? I mean, just that much amounts to a fairly historic and frabjous day; there CAN’T be more, can there?

Why, hush yo’ mouf, honeychile.

The Department of Homeland Security has suspended Global Entry and several other trusted traveler programs for all residents of New York.

Chad Wolf, the Acting Homeland Security Chief, was on Fox News Wednesday night when he told host Tucker Carlson that all residents of the Empire State will be unable to enroll in the programs that make flying both domestically and internationally smoother.

Wolf said that New Yorkers “can’t enroll or re-enroll” in the Trusted Traveler Programs — which includes Global Entry, Nexus and more — because the department “no longer [has] access to make sure that they meet those program requirements.”

The news from the Trump administration official comes in response to New York’s sanctuary and Green Light laws, which allow residents to apply for a driver’s license or learner’s permit regardless of their immigration status.

In a letter to New York State officials, Wolf noted that the law prohibited state DMVs from sharing criminal records with Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The law “compromises CBP’s ability to confirm whether an individual applying for Trusted Travelers Program membership meets program eligibility requirements” and hinders ICE and their agents from fulfilling their mission.

Quoth the Ace, so very pithily:

Awwww, the well-heeled Acela Corridor class is going to have to suffer some inconvenience due to their own #Resistance policy choices, which put other Americans’ very lives in danger.

Cry more, bitches.

If you don’t like it: Secede.

To which I can only append:

Speaking of Ace, he laid utter waste to all the weepers, pissers, moaners, and boll weevils lamenting the beyond-righteous Vindaloo Boys shitcanning as well:

The left is now playing the game they play with all Republican presidents, insisting that Republican presidents must keep on partisan Democrat staffers.

Remember when Clinton fired all the currently serving US Attorneys, who’d been appointed by Bush the Elder? Probably not, because it wasn’t reported on. And it wasn’t reported on because of course an incoming president of the opposite party fires all the political appointees of the old regime.

But then the younger Bush fires all of Clinton’s US attorneys, and the press screams it’s unconstitutional and an attempt to establish a “unitary executive.” Which is supposed to sound ominous, but it’s not — the Constitution establishes a “unitary executive.” All lesser executive officials only exercise those powers devolved to them by the elected Chief Executive.

But during Republican administrations, the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) start insisting that executive power is not vested in an elected Chief Executive, but resides chiefly with permanent or political bureaucrats, most of whom are Democratic operatives or strongly aligned with liberal policy positions, and that it’s an illegal abuse of office for the President to appoint people he trusts to those positions, or fire people he doesn’t.

Oh, and of course when Obama fired all of Bush the Younger’s US Attorneys — crickets from the media again.

Well, the National Security Council is supposed to advise Trump and if he doesn’t trust an adviser, he can fire him. And he should fire him.

Let’s hope Ciaramella gets transferred to a Bering Sea covert radar ship for his next assignment.

Well, now, that might be a little too vindictive; I’m not sure I could really endorse such a cruel…

Oh, who the hell am I kidding. Put every last treacherous, conniving Ogabe stay-behind to work scrubbing the White House toilets with a toothbrush, sez I. Their own personal ones, preferably. But hey, I’m a reasonable man; I’d be willing to settle for a one-way trip to the breadline, eternal destitution, and want for each and every one of them, too.

As Limbaugh has said so many times: this is what fighting back looks like. Let the NeverTrump Cuckpublicans, the effete handwringers, the Democrat-Socialist Party, and Enemedia (BIRM) cry as bitterly and copiously as they like. Let them wail about how “ugly” it all is. Don’t care, not a whit. A defeat for them is always and forever a victory for America, and at long, long last America has a champion willing and eager to wage total war on her behalf. You gotta cut the grass to see the snakes.

A grim morn, a glad day, and a golden sunset.

Update! As always, Kurt is having himself entirely too much fun.

Three Glorious Days of Democrat Agony
So, February 3, 4, and 5, 2020 were pretty much the most miserable three days in the history of the Democratic Party. I’m not laughing, really I’m not! You know how sometimes you have a bad day when nothing goes right? Well, these super-achievers managed to triple that streak. They are achievers in the same sense Hoover Snort Biden is an achiever.

Let’s start with Monday, February 3rd and the Iowa Caucuses. In their defense, it wasn’t like they had four years to get prepared to handle…counting. Oh wait, they did have four years to handle…counting. Okay, well, then in their defense they went to unionized failing government schools, so counting is hard. But not for the Republicans, who managed to count their votes just fine.

As of when you read this, they might still not have actual numbers. Audie Murphy Buttigieg, Crusty Commie Curmudgeon and Chief Sitting Bolshevik may well all still be claiming victory, while Gropey J’s handlers are likely still complaining about the process and Not Senile Joe himself is chasing an uppity squirrel around a Nashua park.

Fresh from the hellish nightmare that was Monday came Tuesday with its own infernal events. The Iowa situation remained fluid, that fluid being similar to the hobo juice freely sprayed around Scat Francisco’s sidewalks. On Tuesday, rumors spread that Pete Rambo Buttigieg was linked to the mysterious app maker designated the fall guy for the caucus circus. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn’t, but these are Democrats so it really doesn’t matter.

And then President Trump gave the best State of the Union speech pretty much ever, spending much of it listing real achievements that help real Americans while Nancy Pelosi fumed behind him, offering a running commentary to her invisible friend. Trump played the Dems like Pete Townsend plays the guitar.

These may have been good looks on college campuses and in communist bookstores, but not so much in the United States. The speech was masterful, and when Pelosi tore it up, she highlighted just how owned she was for the whole world to see.

Then February 5th came along and their impeachment collapsed into rubble. We all knew it was coming, but then … poof. Gone. You tried to take out the king, and you failed. How lame.

Sorry, but I must cut in to point out that February 5th was also my 60th (gulp!) birthday. I considered the Shampeachment implosion a most excellent birthday present, one we can all enjoy and remember fondly. Onwards.

Yeah, history will record that you managed to impeach Donald Trump. History will also record that Donald Trump beat you donkeys like rented mules.

Advantage, Trump.

No—advantage, America.

Happy happy joy update! The agony of their defeat is such a pleasure.

FOX News host Pete Hegseth was in Carthage, North Carolina, on Wednesday morning talking to voters. Pete was asking for their reaction to President Trump’s SOTU Address. One woman said it best “We need to put a cape on his back, an “S” on his chest, and call him Superman. No mortal man could take what he has took in the last three years and do what he has done.”

Most remarkable thing? Even now, they STILL cannot begin to fathom how Trump consistently outmaneuvers them; where his support really comes from; why it still exists; and what they must do to end this nightmare. They’re the smart people, the good people, the educated people, the competent people.

Aren’t they?

It would take a heart of stone…

Not to revel in their self-inflicted humiliation.

Let’s face it – the Democrats in Congress have zilch to show their constituents next fall except videos of Adam the Anime-eyed Lollipop and Oompa Nadler losing in the Senate. And their primary is a disaster of epic proportions and it’s hilariously funny. Here’s how bad it is: Beto the Furry fell out and the stupidity/insanity axis actually rose.

Just last week, Chief Sitting Bolshevik assured her baffled audience that she would allow a trans nine-year-old to pick her Secretary of Education. Leaving aside that there are no “trans” nine-year-olds, only disturbed children egged on by terrible liberal parents who delight at how converting Kaden into Ashleigh will make themselves interesting, you at least gotta hand it to Pocahontas. That’s some incredible sucking up to the weirdo fringie set by the only person of color remaining in the race.

The rest of the Dems are failing too, each in their own way. Gropey J is staggering about, the unwatched impeachment clusterfark having done only one thing – made people wonder why that loser dope-huffing, sister-in-law-tagging son of his got millions from Ukrainian crooks. Bernie Sanders might well be the nominee, setting off a Democratic panic and ham-handed attempts to create a lane for Midget Mike. Wait, I thought billionaires were bad? Anyway, ripping off Bernie again will spark a sissy civil war with lots of whining and pinching and it will be hilarious and terrific.

And overall this smoking Democratic wreckage looms Donald Trump, bellowing in laughter as his poll numbers rise. The economy is booming. He has signed great new trade deals. We are ending the elite’s idiotic wars. And it is looking like Nancy Pelosi will have even more reason to drink herself into sputtering incoherence over next November when we take back the House.

It’s a painful time to be a Democrat. Good. Because Democrats chose to be terrible, and their agony should refresh and inspire us. Graciousness in victory? Pass. They tried to take us out by taking out the guy we elected. They tried to make sure we could never have a say in our own country ever again. They tried, and because they suck, they failed.

Rub it in their smug, tear-streaked faces.

You losers have only just started losing, and we have only just started winning.

Or, as Trump put it last night, the best is yet to come. I took that to mean that, come 2020, the gloves will really and truly come off, and he will continue the ruin and utter destruction of the Democrat-Socialist Party and the Left apace. I’m confident that he won’t forget or forgive the hellish nightmare they so wantonly put him, his family, and his supporters through for the past three years, and I hope his/our retribution will be so swift, painful, and encompassing that they can never, ever recover.

Reap the whirlwind, you scrofulent cankers. You think this week has been just awful for you? Say it with me one mo’ time ag’in: the best is yet to come.

Update! Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Despite the Democrats’ fervent attempts to see him removed from office, President Trump has succeeded beyond all expectations for the good of the nation. This is what so enrages the left; the man has done in three years what they have promised their voters for sixty-plus years but never accomplished — on purpose. The left has always promised what they never intended to deliver. Their plan for decades has been to keep us all down, begging them, the federal government, for sustenance. Their plan has always been to convince us we cannot thrive without their intervention in our lives and by intervention, they mean they will tell us how to live, breathe, eat, drive, work, etc.  Our left is authoritarian, fascist.

And they are also as ungracious as any group of people who have ever held office in America.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi yet again embarrassed herself. This is a woman without an iota of grace or class. She has been determined to see President Trump unseated since the day he won the election. She is the wicked witch of the House; all-powerful but losing her grip on her caucus and her sanity; she is melting. She sat grim-faced, working her mouth in odd ways as always, trying to distract from the content of the speech by shuffling papers to make the point that she was not listening. She was purposefully rude. Her behavior should be mortifying to her colleagues but they all behaved in like manner.

As the president listed the many successes of his administration so far, the Democrats sat on their hands, refusing to applaud nearly all of the terrific things that have taken place these past three years. They made a point of appearing dismissive of the man and his words. They are very angry that it has been a non-ideological Republican who has achieved so much for so many, doing things Democrats have always promised but never fulfilled, stealing their thunder.

Americans have just endured three years of the Democrats’ inability to accept the results of the 2016 election and the torment of the costly and phony Russia hoax as well as the Mueller investigation, which was in fact a cover-up scheme. Then Schiff brought us the long-planned Ukraine nonsense. We have all watched Schiff’s descent into madness; he is in need of a rubber room with his final ravings, and yet his colleagues still refrain from stopping him from making an ever bigger fool of himself. They have remained silent as he has made their party a laughingstock. Not a single Democrat has had the courage to shout that this wanna-be emperor has no clothes. Schiff’s obsession with removing Trump from office is clearly a sign of his mental instability. Trump is going to sell Alaska to Russia! Bring on the straitjacket and an incapacitating agent.

When the president’s speech was over, Pelosi furiously ripped up her copy of it on camera.

Is there a better, more telling act of her anger and disrespect for the office of the presidency? She is a harridan, a blight upon her city, her party and the country. The American Democrat party has become something it was never meant to be: it has morphed into a radically fascist party of autocrats. Certainly not all of them fall into this category but those who do not are cowards. Clearly they are afraid of the tyrants who control the party so they sit quietly by in fear of losing their seats. As we watched them all refuse to applaud the many successes of this administration and the members of the audience Trump celebrated, we should all realize that these people are not on the side of America or Americans.

We’d better. The last desperate hope of retaking our country without catastrophic violence depends on it. And just spare me that “not all of them” bushwa, please. The fact is, after three or four of them coyly fiddling and flirting with maybe voting to acquit so as to create a “judicious moderate” picture of themselves, every last Democrat-Socialist Senator cast aside the false cloak of “judicious moderation” and voted to convict on both specious articles.

This, mind you, while knowing full well that Shampeachment was a reckless, totally illegitimate stab at a 2016 election do-over. There was not one thing fair about it; not one thing procedurally or Constitutionally correct; not one thing respectful, somber, or honest about it. Neither of the fraudulent articles is a crime at all, let alone rising to the level of an impeachable offense. This was a naked, audacious attempt at a soft coup, one hundred percent politically-motivated and partisan, and not one jot or tittle more.

“Not all of them” my baggy old ass. Yes, every blasted one of them, to the last (transgender) man Jack of ’em. Wxhen it came down to the nut-cuttin’, they all stood as one to cast their votes in favor of removing Trump unanimously, in brazen defiance of the rule of law, historical precedent, and any rational concept of justice. That’s as clear a declaration of who and what they really are as anybody ought to need: a “radically fascist party of autocrats.”

All of them update! Yes, Joe Manchin too.

Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia was one of the few Democrats contemplating how to vote on the two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. He continually said he would look at the evidence on an impartial basis. After all, Manchin voted “guilty” on both articles.

Following the vote, Manchin explained his decision to a group of reporters outside of the Senate.

“I’ve always said if I can go home and explain it, I can vote for it. If I can’t explain it, I vote against it,” the West Virginia senator explained. “I can explain my vote based on the evidence that was presented. Under oath, the evidence was given to us under oath, by the testimonies from the witnesses that they were able to secure and the documents that we saw.”

“Common sense will tell me, after the transcript, that a phone call from the most powerful president in the world to the most inexperienced leader of a country that’s facing Russian aggression would very much be intimidated and that’s not who we are,” Manchin said. “I have said before you can’t go around and we can’t be the country we are trying to encourage countries to accept democracy and enjoy the freedoms and liberties that we all enjoy by using that for a political favor. You can’t do that. That’s not who we are.”

Yeah, right, you lying fraud. “You can’t do that”—says who? According to which law, exactly? So now “that’s not who we are”—a vacuous slogan without one iota of either relevance or factual truth here—ascends to the level of “treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors”?

If Manchin truly believes this tripe, he’s too goddamned dim a bulb to be allowed anywhere near any sort of power at all, at any level higher than deciding what he wants for breakfast. But he doesn’t believe a word of it. He’s a cheap bullshit artist, and not even a very skillful one if this slapdash, thimble-deep piffle is typical of the stuff he usually peddles. He got nervous at the last minute, decided to cover his ass via striking a thoughtful pose, then scurried right back into lockstep with his slightly more frenzied co-seditionists when it counted—doing tremendous harm to an already-fractured nation, in several important ways, by so doing. To Hell with him, and with every other soulless, America-hating Democrat-Socialist too.

Shampeachment Round 1 is sent to the showers

Not much more I can really say about it, so instead I’ll use the opportunity to bash contemptible, oily rumpswab Mittens Romeney. Rather, I’ll let Ace do it:

Mitt Romney is a not a conservative, “severe” or otherwise. He’s a Business Class Liberal. Always has been. Yes, he’s very “conservative” on issues like “should the working class always have their wages reduced by constant remorseless labor arbitrage and relocating factories to China,” and “conservative’ on the question “should companies be allowed to take a business expense deduction on their taxes for the costs of moving factories to China,” but on everything else — including, especially, Obamacare, which he fathered — he’s a liberal.

Always has been.

And he’s coward who can’t even stand up to Candy Crowley. Just blinked at her stupidly.

Would not take the fight to Barack Obama.

Oh, but now this soy-based bitch has some fight in him, huh?

Ace then excerpts another takedown of the oxygen thief:

Romney’s Entire Career Has Been About Punishing Republicans For Voting For Him
Yes, he’s different from many others within the GOP in the sense that he has no firm principles upon which to base his political decisions besides self-interest and self-importance. He is vaguely in favor of free markets insofar as he appreciates a pro-business environment, having been a businessman once. But that seems to be the extent of his political personality.

Romney’s efforts to appear above the “lesser” GOP fray in many cases has translated into a repudiation of conservatism. To be clear, Romney may vote however he pleases, but he, along with our media betters, will likely portray his alleged defection as a more principled approach to conservatism. That takeaway is incorrect. Romney has been voting against his own party’s voters for his entire political career, and on core moral issues, not just pragmatic choices such as the level of tax rates or regulation.

…None of these examples are to suggest that Romney must hold the same positions forever and be lambasted if his positions ever change. But as my friend Josh Hammer, Daily Wire Editor-at-Large, suggested to me, Romney is an “inveterate chameleon” whose political opinions are not founded upon any transcendent principles but based solely upon what he perceives as capable of granting him the most approval from DC sycophants.

He attempts to portray himself as a moral bulwark, but as the above shifts in opinion indicate, many of his political leanings seem to be more a product of self-interest than of genuine moral clarity. In the coming days, he will be paraded around by the media as the model Republican for all the reasons GOP voters increasingly dislike him. Contrary to the media’s deification of Romney as the only principled figure within the GOP, it’s ironically all politics to him. No principles.

If there is any single embodiment of why the Founders feared and loathed the very idea of a “professional politician” class, Romeney might just be it. Should the smarmy bastard now endeavor to disgrace himself yet further by begging the Democrat-Socialists on hands and knees for permission to run on the ticket as their Veep nominee, it wouldn’t come as any surprise.

Update! Trump punches back, as always.

President Donald Trump released a devastating video criticizing Mitt Romney after the Utah senator voted to impeach him as president.

“Slick, slippery, stealthy Mitt Romney had us fooled,” the narrator of the anti-Romney video says over images of Mitt Romney in sunglasses.

The video reminded Trump supporters that Romney initially visited the president after he was elected, trying to win Trump’s favor so he could be nominated Secretary of State.

“Posing as a Republican, he tried to infiltrate Trump’s administration as Secretary of State,” the narrator continues. “Now his cover is blown.”

The video calls Romney a “Democrat secret asset” and reminds viewers he failed to beat President Obama in 2012.

Citing his faith, Romney said Wednesday on the Senate floor that he felt that Trump was guilty and deserved to be impeached.

“I swore an oath before God to exercise impartial justice. I am profoundly religious,” he said. “My faith is at the heart of who I am. I take an oath before God as enormously consequential.”

Don’t look now, but I think God Himself may have just thrown up at that shameless self-justification.

Can’t anybody here play this game?

Bernie gets the shit end again.

Clearly, the nominee won’t be decided tonight. What is at stake is bragging rights, the appearance of momentum, and a chance to prove which candidate can connect with grassroots voters. All of these are a Big Deal going into New Hampshire, and especially the expensive delegate-rich states that actually will pick the winner.

Unless the DNC puts its thumb on the scale to deny a Sanders candidacy.

With that offhand remark, Stephen Green’s early Drunkblogging looks eerily prescient. The Liberty Daily headline says it all:

Same People Who Want to Run Every Aspect of Our Lives: Amid “Quality Control” Issues, Democrat Iowa Results Inexplicably Delayed Due To Caucus App Crash

The link is to Zero Hedge, where Tyler reports:

The results are notably delayed
Iowa’s State Democratic Party, seemingly terrified of blowback if something untoward occurs (note that they canceled the Des Moines poll due to irregularities), initially said it is doing “quality control” on results “out of an abundance of caution.”

Then they slowly started to admit there were real issues with a brand new app that had been created especially to ease transmission and transparency of the results.

One precinct chair in Polk County told Bloomberg News he still has not been able to report his results because the phone app was not working and he has been on hold with an alternative hotline for more than 30 minutes.

No biggie, gang, I’m SURE it’s just an honest mistake. Or maybe RUSSIAN BOTS. No doubt the “winner” will be announced just as soon as the Party nomenklatura gets things rigged to their satisfaction, in favor of the candidate they’ve selected for you. Back to Stephen:

Forget what I’ve been saying for months now about the primary schedule from now through South Carolina.

It’s all been torn up, blown up, reduced to its component molecules. And then the molecules were put through centrifuges, made into a nuclear warhead, which was then detonated over everyone’s campaign plans.

Before tonight, it was a fight.

Now it’s war.

Read on for lots more don’t-miss snarky bemusement over how it is that the very Party always so piously screeching about “American democracy” seems utterly incapable of actually making their end of things work.

Transparency, Integrity, Competence update! Clown car crash.

The FOX News crew started LAUGHING OUT LOUD after they broke these news on the continuing disaster.

Bret Baier: Story County, Precinct 101. Guy says, “I’ve been on hold for over an hour to report the results. We have six delegates. I’ve been on hold on the phone to call in the results for over an hour…

Martha MacCallum: Here’s another one… How about this one from Polk County. Precinct chairs are being advised to take pictures of the results and then text them over to the Polk County executive director. Who is then driving them to the headquarters according to a Democratic operative. (Laughter)

You really can’t make this up!

Happily, with the Democrat-Socialist Party you don’t have to. All you have to do is sit back, point, and laugh till your ribs part from their moorings.

They STILL don’t get it

And given how painful and costly the admission will be for them, they probably never will.

What the bow tie–wearing myopics of the swamp can’t or refuse to see is that President Trump’s support comes, at its source, from growing animal spirits in America convinced that the federal government is a major problem. The country elected Mr. Trump, in part, because he promised to be a giant club willing to bash the D.C. hull repeatedly until it sinks into the Potomac River basin. You can’t fight a war if you don’t even understand the positions of the players or the stakes involved, and the D.C. denizens prove every day that they have no idea what’s going on in the minds of those living between the coasts.

We have watched the federal government grow and transform into something we hate and fear. There were no constitutional conventions or amendments for these changes; rather, the federal courts took it upon themselves to reinterpret the Constitution with the silent consent of Congress and successive presidents until they had effectively co-opted power originally guaranteed to the individual states or the American people themselves. Giant administrative agencies now tower over our lives, even if they reside in D.C. They conjure power for themselves out of thin air, but their application of power is very real. They choose whom to tax, what land to seize, whose gods must be respected, and whose faith must be destroyed. Administrative agencies force American citizens to bend to the wills of faceless swamp things, and nobody in D.C. sees this as the direct assault on Madisonian republicanism that it is. Vesting all the awesome powers of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches in the unmitigated wisdom of twenty-seven-year-old cubicle kings is tyranny, and that is what we have.

Lies have always accompanied the struggle for human power, but the federal government today trades in the currency of deceit with such gusto that it should offend any free people. It is hysterically ironic to hear Deep State acolytes attempt to separate President Trump from his voters by accusing him of being untruthful. We’ve watched President Obama sabotage the peaceful transition of power, John Brennan and James Comey conspire with the FISA Court to frame President Trump as a Russian spy, news personalities routinely spread the lie that President Trump is racist, and Democratic moles and fake whistleblowers falsely accuse President Trump of crimes actually committed by President Obama and Vice President Biden. Hearsay and innuendo against President Trump are the only news of the day. For those living between the coasts, the federal government and the legacy media vomit forth such unrelenting and inscrutably mad deceptions upon the American people that any exaggeration from the president seems nostalgically folksy in a Huck Finn type of way by comparison. And like Finn, if the president occasionally fibs, at least we know he is a hero with a good heart who works on our behalf. The D.C. coup-plotters and power-grabbers, in contrast, sacrificed their souls long ago in service to the cretinous golem into which they’ve breathed life.

So when President Trump’s enemies seek to manipulate us into acquiescing and consenting to his removal from office, their strategy is all backwards. The Left long ago learned to use our virtue against us by appealing to our moral leanings and our sense of shame. They cry out at us: “Look at this man. He betrays all of the customs and traditions of the American government. He lies to us and threatens us and dares to question the absolute truth of the press. He is uncouth and ill mannered and actively seeks to find our pressure points and pour salt in our wounds. He is no true Republican. He is no true conservative. He countermands everything we’ve stood for, everything we’ve worked for, everything we’ve promised to the rest of the world. He finds nothing sacred in what we do.” Nothing could make us happier. The more they protest and accuse him of terrible things, the more we see him as a great and dangerous club with which to pound the Deep State and post-constitutional order into the ground.

Nailed it—clean, tight, and absolutely flat.

SHOCKER: Democrat-Socialists lose, refuse to accept it!

LOLGetFucked

Dem leaders signal they won’t accept Trump acquittal as legitimate

Ironic on so many levels you can’t even begin to tot ’em all up.

Democrats signaled in the runup to the looming conclusion of President Trump’s impeachment proceedings that they’ll simply refuse to accept his all-but-certain acquittal because his “sham” trial lacked proper witnesses and evidence.

Signaling how they will message the saga in the coming months on the campaign trail, top Democratic leaders in the House and Senate argued Trump can never erase the stain of impeachment because the trial wasn’t legitimate.

“The president’s acquittal will be meaningless,” Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., declared Friday, “because it will be the result of a sham trial.”

What else would you expect, when the House’s entirely partisan “impeachment” was itself a sham from the git-go?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who for weeks held onto the two articles of impeachment to try to force the Senate to commit to witnesses, said she won’t accept a not guilty verdict in the Senate as vindication.

“He will not be acquitted,” Pelosi said Thursday. “You cannot be acquitted if you don’t have a trial, and you don’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and documentation and that.”

Gee, maybe you seditious assholes shoulda thought of all that stuff back when you were, y’know, mismanaging the “investigation” phase in the House. Which, according to the Constitution and historical precedent, is generally acknowledged to have been, y’know, YOUR fucking job.

Pelosi has already been gloating that her House of Representatives gave Trump a black mark in the history books that can never be erased.

“You’re impeached forever,” Pelosi said with a big grin in an interview with HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.” “No matter what the Senate does, that can never be erased.”

So somber. So serious. So prayerfully sad. Drop dead, you phony, fake-ass fossil.

Democrats have hammered that without witnesses testifying, such as former national security adviser John Bolton, the Senate trial amounts to a cover-up.

Yeh, yeh, yeh. Toddlers didn’t get their way, toddlers made a mess of their attempted end-run around the 2016 election, toddlers threw a tantrum which now looks like screwing up 2020 for them too, now toddlers want to lay the blame on somebody else for their own arrant fuckups. Let’s have Tucker give the sniveling brats the spanking they deserve:

It’s been an awfully long week. But thank God, we’re ending it with two pieces of good news.

The first is that Great Britain is an independent country again, as it has been for most of the last thousand years. Brexit has gone through. Cheers to our friends in the United Kingdom.

Secondly, in this country, the impeachment farce is almost over.

That’s our good news. The president will be acquitted. Now, we knew that from the first day, of course – which is one of the reasons this whole overhyped charade was always such an insulting waste of time. But now it’s official. Even Trump-hating Republicans in the Senate are thoroughly sick of this. They want it over.

The Democratic Party is in trouble. It’s about to collide with itself. By the way, that didn’t need to happen if Democrats had just spent the last three years coming up with, I don’t know, a credible plan to lower housing prices or raise middle-class wages or fix the student loan crisis they might be winning the election, but they didn’t do that.

Instead, they tried the easy way out. They wasted their energy on wild conspiracies about Russia and Ukraine. And while they were doing that, their unhappiest but most energetic activists forced their candidates to take lunatic positions on abortion, guns, race, gender, climate, you name it, positions that are way out of the mainstream, even among Democrats.

It adds up to a disaster, and they know it’s a disaster. That’s why they’re so upset. The good news is that, as awful and stupid as impeachment was, it hurt the people responsible for it most of all.

What goes around comes around. Speaking of which:

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah lawmaker has filed a bill to allow Utahns to recall an elected United States senator.

The lawmaker, Rep. Tim Quinn, R-Heber City, told the Deseret News in an interview Wednesday shortly after the bill was made public that it’s not meant to target any specific sitting Utah senator — but it comes amid heightened national attention on Sen. Mitt Romney, who has been among the few Republican senators publicly critical of President Donald Trump.

Romney in recent days has ignited simmering controversy over whether to bring additional witnesses and documents into the impeachment trial against Trump. Yet Quinn said his bill isn’t aimed at Romney or any specific senator — though he acknowledged his bill comes at a time that people will likely construe it that way.

“I know that’s what’s going to be the narrative,” Quinn said. “If it were, then it might make sense to have a sunset on it. That would not be the case.”

Maybe, maybe not. But Romeney would sure make a fine test-case, wouldn’t he? Bottom line:

The most amazing thing about Democrats and their allies in the media is that they never actually lose. Any time it seems like they lose, it’s actually the result of cheating and chicanery.

Hillary Clinton didn’t lose 2016, the Russians interfered and the Electoral College is racist. Stacy Abrams didn’t lose in Georgia, the election was stolen. And sure enough, the calls have already come out to say that House Democrats aren’t really going to lose the impeachment trial, because without additional witnesses the trial isn’t legitimate and the acquittal isn’t real.

Not this time. Mitch McConnell, President Trump’s legal team, and the GOP made fools of the Democrats and drank their milkshake. But this will not stop the aggrieved cackling heads from claiming this is all somehow fake.

Correct, it won’t. In fact, the end of Shampeachment Round 1 won’t be the end of their effort to cobble together an illegitimate victory from the smoking ruin of defeat, this or every other time. The Democrat-Socialists are almost shockingly brazen in their now out-front assertion that no rules apply to them; no stricture of either law or decency confines them; no legal right, no moral or ethical injunction, no tradition or precedent, no electoral mandate, no Constitutional proscription shall impede them in their quest for absolute power.

They’ll be back, with even worse assaults against law, legitimacy, and human dignity, liberty, and decency again…and again…and again. Don’t for a single moment think they won’t. The real question now is this:

That’s a wrap

The curtain is finally being brought down on Schitt’s Shampeachment Schow.

The Senate voted 51-49 on a motion to support prior constitutional precedent and avoid further witness testimony in the Senate.  Republican Senators Susan Collins and Mitt Romney voted with Democrats to break constitutional framework and support witness testimony in the Senate that did not originate from House impeachment process.

Because OF COURSE they did, the dirty, treacherous scum.

Senators are now recessed for dinner while holding meetings within their caucus to debate next steps. A disagreement within the republican caucus seems to be framed around Senators wishing to have debate time to present their own personal positions on the Senate floor prior to a final vote to remove or acquit President Trump.

One likely scenario is a vote on a resolution tonight outlining next steps, open to amendment and voting; then recess for the evening around 9pm, and a return at 11:00am Monday. That would position a final acquittal vote for Wednesday.

Hoft ain’t happy with that.

This is a travesty.

The US Senate is purposely pushing the President’s acquittal until after the SOTU Address!

This also gives Democrats plenty of time to make up more fake news Ukrainian stories.

How awful!

Meh, it ain’t like they weren’t gonna do it anyway—that, and worse. But there’s another angle to consider here:

I like it. Then too, there’s this:

Don’t forget that Trump will deliver his State of the Union address on Tuesday, in front of a crowd half-consisting of fully humiliated Democrats. Presumably, that’ll be one night before Cocaine Mitch has his chamber vote to acquit, but it’s SOTU so all the Democrats present will have to feign civility.

Savage, indeed.

“Feign civility”? What, you mean like they did last time, the time before that, and every other damned time? I’d strongly recommend you not hold your breath waiting for any “civility” from the swinish, grubby asstards, Steve. Your odds are way, WAY better with buying Powerball tickets.

Moreover, this won’t be the end of anything at all, when you get right down to it. If there’s one thing the Commiecrat slime NEVER does, it’s give up and admit defeat. Mention has already been made of follow-on rounds of Shampeachment after this one, and once Trump is safely re-elected we should expect the long knives to REALLY come out for him…and us. Hard to see how they can possibly double-down from this new low, but count on it: they will.

As I always say: They won’t stop. They will NEVER stop. They will have to BE stopped. Which looks more and more like requiring a, shall we say, more permanent solution if we ever hope to smell the last of such garbage from them.

Schadenboner update! Schampeachment flops; Backstabbin’ Bolton hardest hit?

During his four decades as an accumulator of power in the nation’s capital, a holder of high offices in the State Department, and finally a stint as President Trump’s national security adviser, John Bolton has been well known for his scrupulous attention to the hiring and firing of his staff.

He always has demanded unwavering personal loyalty as well as fealty to his own—not his president’s—policy agenda. He has performed the most rigorous vetting on all who have been selected to serve on his various staffs, both the small number of political appointees a political appointee such as himself is allowed to have as well as the more numerous personnel selected from the foreign service, civil service, military services, and intelligence agencies.

This incident illumined in high relief that Bolton’s loyalties are never to his superiors but always to himself and to others only so long as they remain his sycophants.

The strange case of the Vindman twins (Alexander and Yevgeny) should be examined in the light of Bolton’s Roi du Soleil management style.

Bolton is totally responsible for this pair of unusual hires. There is no explaining this strange duo of appointments as something that the bureaucracy simply slipped over on Bolton. That is not Bolton’s way.

The American people have John Bolton, and only John Bolton, to blame for the presence of the self-serving Vindman twins on the NSC staff. We have only Bolton to blame for empowering this gossipy pair and their confidants who have made a mockery of the common-sense security precept of “need to know.”

Ahh, but we have Trump to blame for keeping them on, and not giving them the Bolton bum’s rush instead. Still, it’s most satisfying to see the flimsy house of cards he constructed come crashing down on his monstrously swollen head.

Fix: IN

Indulge me for a little worst-case-scenario doomsaying.

Attorney to the President, Jay Sekulow, explained that the legal team isn’t content to offer a rebuttal to Democrats impeachment arguments, they plan on attacking them.

Sekulow made the comments during an appearance on ‘Fox and Friends First,’ where he accused the resistance party of selectively editing witness testimony to fit their argument that the President should be impeached and removed from office.

“Adam Schiff, who is the House management leader, has had a problem with the truth since he’s been holding these hearings in the House of Representatives, all the way back to the Mueller report,” Sekulow told viewers. “So, we will not, in a sense, it’s not a rebuttal.”

Instead, he added, “what we are going to do is attack.”

A good thing too, because from what I’m seeing the last couple of days, you’re going to need to. The Senate GOPe leadership ain’t gonna bother to. Their declared intention to keep the process scrupulously on Constitutional track seems to be slowly slipping off the rails.

Senator Schumer and McConnell have agreed to alternating back-and-forth questions from Republicans and Democrats over the course of two days totaling a maximum of sixteen hours. The alternative would have been 8 hours of questioning by Democrats followed by 8 hours of republican questions. Obviously, and curiously, McConnell and Schumer see a benefit to alternating back-and-forth over the two days.

Additionally, according to several media reports, McConnell took a ‘whip of the Senate’ regarding witness testimony and does not currently have enough republican votes to block the pre-planned House Managers’ unconstitutional scheme to call witnesses.

The appropriate constitutional position for the Senate to take would be that the House investigates; the House calls witnesses within their investigation; the House assembles articles of impeachment; and the Senate is the trier of fact from those articles.

Ergo if a witness was not included in the article assembly, that would be a defect of the House articles; incurable in the Senate…How and why any senator would agree to establish this precedent is beyond my comprehension.

You may need to hone your cynicism a bit then, Sundance. Because I assure you it ain’t beyond mine. Anyways.

In the current quasi-constitutional House process, the Democrats refused to allow Republicans to call witnesses during their investigative phase. As a result the articles as assembled are completely one-sided and partisan. There are no republican witnesses in the evidence underpinning the article assembly. This was obviously done by design.

As a result a one-sided, Democrat only, witness group is structured in the articles. Now the same Democrats are demanding additional witnesses beyond those they called in the House. The witnesses they are demanding are from the executive branch; and blocking the executive from access to the judiciary explains why the Democrat plan has presented this end-run around the constitution. This was not a flaw in the article assembly, it was a feature.

So here’s how things might now be shaping up: Senate GOPers acquiesce to the House Democrat-Socialists’ imperious and patently un-Constitutional witness demands…and then the leadership refuses to allow any of their own, probably justifying the chicanery to the general public as a matter of “principle” and high-mindedness. Highly devious maneuvering, yes, audacious in its brazen affrontery. But thus will the Deep State ultimately be preserved, the bone-deep corruption of the US government entire swept back under its rug. And on my darkest days, I fear that that outweighs any other consideration for these shitweasels, by far.

I suppose I ought to find this reassuring, but somehow I just…don’t.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Tuesday said Trump’s defense team “made a damning indictment of what Hunter and Joe Biden allowed to happen” in Ukraine, with Burisma, and he believes GOP senators will likely vote to call in the Bidens, Eric Ciaramella and other witnesses.

Fine and well, then, and given how hard it is nowadays to determine whether it’s Lindsey V1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 hear talking at any given moment, I’ll believe it when I see it. Worse, the razor-thin Republican Senate majority means that they can’t afford to lose a single vote—and we can guess easily enough where four of them might be found. Nonetheless, Sen Hawley remains optimistic:

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) drafted motions to subpoena impeachment manager Rep. Adam Schiff, ICIG Michael Atkinson, Eric Ciaramella, Hunter Biden and Joe Biden to testify.

“If the Senate calls witnesses, I will ask for votes on all these next week,” Hawley said.

I hope you do, Josh; we’ll see if you get ’em. More details on La Familia Biden’s end-to-end, multigenerational corruption are provided in this Politico hack-job; the bit of hilarity I most enjoyed therein has to be this:

There’s no evidence Biden used his position as vice president to benefit his son’s work with Burisma.

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHASTOPITPLEASEOHPLEASESTOPYOU’REKILLINGME

Revoltingly, the Biden corruption ‘n’ crime chromosome wasn’t limited to just poor, inept old whore-hopper Hunter’s DNA, either. It appears to be a dominant family trait.

With less than one week before the Iowa caucuses, the establishment media is zeroing in on former Vice President Joe Biden and the culture of corruption that has permeated his immediate family for decades.

On Tuesday, Politico published an in-depth exposé on the financial ties between the former vice president’s younger brother, James, and a high-powered Washington, D.C., lobbyist. According to Politico, James and his wife purchased an acre of land in the U.S. Virgin Islands for $150,000 in May 2005. A year later, James resold a third of that acre to Scott Green, a national security lobbyist who previously served as a Senate staffer for Joe Biden. Green paid $150,000 for the land, even though the tax assessed value was only $38,000.

“In effect, James and [his wife] had gotten their money back while keeping most of the land—recouping their investment in just 12 months,” the outlet reported.

Any money that Green may have lost through the deal was offset when Joe Biden became vice president. In 2010, as Politico notes, Green and members of the lobbying firm he founded, the Lafayette Group, were frequent visitors at the Obama-Biden White House.

Remember, y’all: not a SMIDGEON of corruption in the Obama junta. Not the tiniest little SMIDGE. If you don’t believe it, just ask one of those piffling crooks.

The article goes on to present a whole slew of, umm, problematic wheelings and dealings involving Uncle Gropey and his chip-off-the-old-block brood. Influence peddling, bribery, extortion, lucrative no-show jobs, you name it; the only thing the Biden clan seems not to have had their grubby fingers into is actual contract murder. But Uncle Gropey is close enough to HILLARY!™, so who knows about even that.

One thing we know for sure by now: if he did refrain, it sure wasn’t due to any ethics-based reluctance or distaste for it—the man has no discernible ethics at all, Obviously, his precious little apples did NOT fall far from the rotten family tree themselves.

History, repeating itself

Who they are, what they do.

How the current impeachment “trial” turns out is anybody’s guess but hardly the only unknown in theongoing coup against President Trump. As many believe, if nobody in the FBI or DOJ winds up doing prison time, the Deep State wins and future presidents will face similar coup attempts. Some clues on what might or might not happen to FBI bosses emerged Sunday in “Government on Trial,” a Fox News documentary on the FBI siege at Ruby Ridge, Idaho, in 1992.

That operation targeted the family of Randy Weaver, whom the establishment media relentlessly smeared as a “white separatist” and “white supremacist” with possible links to the Aryan Nations. As the FBI knew, Weaver was not a member of the group, and as Weaver testified to the Senate in 1995,  “I don’t hate people because of being a different race. I don’t hate anybody. I believe there are good and bad in every race, and I have always taught that.”

On the other hand, Weaver could be accurately described as a biblical survivalist. He moved his family from Iowa to northern Idaho to prepare for bad times and the possible breakdown of society. Such survivalism had been on the rise since the latter days of the Carter administration, when the end did seem to be at hand.

Like many in rural Idaho, Weaver and his family were fully armed. On the other hand, they lived peacefully and perpetrated no attacks against neighbors. The ATF tried to entrap Weaver on a gun charge and an exchange of fire claimed the lives of a U.S. Marshall and Weaver’s 14-year-old son, Samuel. That brought in the FBI, which deployed 400 heavily armed agents, helicopters, armored personnel carriers, and trained snipers all against a single family.

The FBI’s rules of engagement allowed agents to shoot on sight. The agency believed that Randy’s wife Vicki was the “brains of the outfit” and FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi shot the unarmed woman in the head as she held her infant daughter. Snipers are trained to “acquire” their targets, so not likely the killing was accidental.

Weaver and his friend Kevin Harris were also wounded, and Harris was near death when the siege ended. In the ensuing trial, Randy Weaver was acquitted on everything but failing to appear in court, and his original tangle with the ATF was ruled as entrapment. The family received a settlement of more than $3 million but questions remained.

As the Fox documentary showed, it remains unknown to this day which FBI boss ordered the shoot-on-sight rules, and the mystery could be part of a cover-up. Michael Kahoe of the FBI’s violent crime division destroyed a key report on Ruby Ridge to prevent the U.S. attorney from turning it over to Weaver’s attorneys. Kahoe would up serving 18 months in prison, for actions in a case that rendered three people dead.

The campaign against candidate Trump, and the coup attempt against President Trump, has yet to claim any lives, but it has certainly ruined a few. As the Federalist reveals, James Comey and Andrew McCabe signed off on FISA warrants that were false, which is a federal crime. These were part of more than a dozen cases in which the FBI violated FISA laws.

FBI lawyer Kevin Klinesmith altered a key document on Carter Page and the phones of FBI players Strzok and Page were wiped clean of incriminating texts. U.S. attorney John Durham is running a criminal investigation, but so far no FBI or DOJ player has been officially charged, tried and sent to prison. A low-level fall guy the style of Kahoe would hardly match the magnitude of the crimes and essentially authorize future coup attempts by the deep state. That’s the lesson of Ruby Ridge.

Billingsley goes on to weave Waco, the Nation Of Islam, and the Black Panthers into a larger tapestry of corruption and extremely dubious, politically-motivated FBI/Senate/DoJ investigations. The FBI’s blatant stab at criminal interference in the 2016 election and the subsequent all-thumbs attempt to frame Trump shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody the least bit familiar with their coal-black history.
