Thugocracy

For starters, I agree with this completely.

I can rant and rave all day and all night about the many systemic problems we have with law enforcement in America. Too militarized; too isolated from the the people they are supposed “to protect and serve;” far too willing to protect their authority over absolutely harmless people…up to the point of shooting them; part of the disgusting schemes of most municipalities to use policing to increase their revenues via ticketing; and about a million other reasons.

But when people riot? All bets are off. I want the cops to swing those batons and bowl people over and shoot them with pepper spray, non-lethal rounds, and lethal rounds if the lives of the police or innocents are at any risk. I want them to use snipers to shoot anyone throwing incendiaries. I want them to arrest everybody, including the media stoking the fires of insurrection, the hilariously misnamed Antifa and BLM “medics,” who claim some sort of immunity, and then toss them in wagons and drive them out to some remote county jail for a few days of bliss in the general population.

I’m with ya, buddy. No cop-sucker I, but as I’ve said here many times: I have both family and friends who are cops, and have been around ’em my whole life. I’ll take a cop six days a week and twice on Sundays over any ten Burn Loot Murder or PantiFa types you could name. Yes, there are plenty of bad-apple cops out there, but by and large the boys in blue are okay with me.

Right up until I run across a sickening story like this.

Alecia Kitts drove an hour and a half from Marietta to Logan, Ohio to watch her son’s football game.

In the first quarter she was approached by an officer from the Logan Police Department because she was not wearing a mask.

According to Tiffany Kennedy, the woman who shot the above video, Kitts had not been warned for not wearing a mask prior to the officer approaching her.  Kennedy also said that Kitts has asthma and that’s why she was not wearing a mask.

“There is no reason to tase someone and arrest them for not wearing a mask,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy also pointed out the female officer who is shown running toward the Logan officer and Kitts at the end of the video was not wearing a mask – pulling one out of her pocket as she was in pursuit.

“Alecia’s mom said that when the officer tased her, the current went through the bleachers and zapped the kid sitting there too.”

Kitts appears to be socially distanced from others in the crowd and sitting with her family. “There were only 25 or 30 fans from our town on our side,” said Kennedy.

Inexcusable, unacceptable, and completely intolerable. Being defunded ought to be the very LEAST of worries for Gestapo goons like these; asshole cops like this ought to be prosecuted for assault and thrown into general-pop for a good, long stretch of TRULY “hard time.”

Hoft asks: “This Is America?” No, Jim, it is not. It most certainly is NOT. Not even close, it ain’t.

Yeah, yeah, she offered resistance to Officer Friendly’s attempt to cuff her for not wearing the Mask of Submission. Well, so what? In the first place, she was in the right. The Founders would have expected no less from her, and from all of us, than flat refusal to comply with any and all contra-Constitutional tyranny, regardless of what flimsy “health-and-safety” excuse the Power pukes up for imposing it. It might not have been the wisest move; it might not have been the easiest path for her to take. But as a matter of principle, it was the correct one.

In the second place, the woman suffers from chronic asthma—a condition which, according to the Ohio decree (along with every other one I know of), provides her with preemptive absolution for the sin of refusing the Mask Of Submission.

But when I first started working on this post, right away I decided to hold off on putting it up to wait for the silver lining I anticipated: a budget-busting lawsuit that would leave Ms Kitts a very wealthy woman indeed. And lo, my patience has been rewarded, with not one but two silver linings cropping up.

A police officer who tasered a woman who refused to wear a mask at a middle school football game has been bombarded with death threats and racist insults.

Some of those opposed to the officer’s actions, according to ABC6, have begun inundating the Logan Police Department with angry and threatening phone calls.

A captain with the department stated that their office is currently receiving more than “300 calls an hour” regarding Smith, who has also received “multiple death threats and racial insults.”

Aww, what a shame. Sucks to be you, Deppitty Dawg.

A lawyer for Kitts, the woman who was arrested, has argued that his client was exempt from the law due to her asthma.

“Ms. Kitts explained to the policy officer and administrators that she has asthma, but they ignored her,” attorney Maurice A. Thompson told NBC4. “Their position was that un-masked asthmatic must leave the stadium, (which) is not consistent with any directive or other law.”

Go get ’em, then. Make ’em pay, but good.

Ohhh, we REALLY got him now!

The NYT grunts, strains mightily, squeezes out another hard, desiccated nugget of pure nothing.

As a former accountant, please allow me to explain why all of today’s newly formed tax experts are fucking morons, and we should metaphorically put a brick in a sock and beat them over the head with it until they shut up.

I’m going to keep this blog post simple. I’m not going to get into any of the specifics of the leaked Trump taxes. Why? Because:

  1. We don’t know how full of shit the NYT is, and you don’t do taxes based on rumors and innuendo. You do taxes based upon financial statements and the company’s books.
  2. This shit is super complicated and my happy ass is retired and likes getting paid more money to write books instead of reading through thousands of pages of IRS regs.

Which brings us to today, with people freaking out about how Trump allegedly didn’t pay taxes for 10 out of 15 years and how that’s UNFAIR. Assuming that the anonymous tip isn’t total bullshit—and this is the New York Times we’re talking about and they love to just make shit up—and that the information is accurate (which means that whoever leaked it committed a felony, but that’s a whole different discussion)… my answer is so?

Actually, I beg to differ on one point: we DO know how full of shit the NYT is: totally. Other than that, it’s Larry Correia talking here, and nobody suffers fools less gladly than he does. So naturally, you’ll want to read it all.

First two don’t count

The title of the article says, “This city just banned candy from supermarket checkout aisles.” Now guess which city, and more particularly, what the political leanings of its goobermint might be.

Go on, guess.

Beginning in March 2021, Berkeley, California, will become the first US city to ban the sale of unhealthy food from supermarket checkout areas.

That liberal Bay Area city council unanimously voted Tuesday night that, starting next year, grocery stores larger than 2,500 square feet will be required to sell not the typical selection of junk food but 25 square feet of healthy items within the three-foot radius of the register.

The “healthy checkout” ordinance defines healthy as items containing five or less grams of added sugar and less than 250 milligrams of sodium per serving, according to ABC 7.

“We’re not saying you can’t have these goods. We’re just saying they’re not going to be right at the eye level of your children when they walk into the store and you’re waiting in that long line at check out,” Council Member Kate Harrison said. “We know that people that eat a lot of high-sugar and salty products have worse health outcomes and this particularly besets low-income communities and people of color.”

The decision is not intended as a punishment or a war on treats so much as a discouragement of poor eating habits, Harrison said.

“It’s not a ban, it’s a nudge,” she told CNN.

No no no, of course it isn’t. The ban comes along later.

Whatever would we benighted, igner’nt serfs DO without our Leftist lords and masters to make our decisions for us, according to what they in their infinite wisdom deem best?

Crunching the numbers

High-larious.

Below is the summary of events since Labor Day. President Trump has now held events with an estimated 187,730 event goers while Biden has entertained an estimated 84 event goers.

There literally may be more Trump supporters protesting Biden events than Biden attendees at his events.

Biden has not entertained a crowd greater than 30 people since Labor Day and probably no crowd greater than 100 since March.

The polls are garbage, the current race is not even close.

Earlier in the piece, Hoft notes:

In the 2016 election we kept track of event attendance after the Party Conventions for both candidate Trump and Crooked Hillary. We did this because the future President was setting records at seemingly every venue he visited while Hillary could barely fill half a high school gymnasium. By mid-August we determined that President Trump had 10 times the number of attendees at his rallies than Hillary did during the same time. This year it’s worse.

By election day 2016 we determined that tens of thousands of more individuals attended Trump events than Hillary events.

The far left mainstream media claimed Hillary was up in the polls. They claimed that rally attendance didn’t matter, but it did. Momentum and enthusiasm mean a lot.

One of the more amusing aspects of the Cadaverous RBG dustup has been the many declarations—including the suspicious and unsupported invocation of the “Gramma’s dying wish” clause in the Constitution—that propriety and precedent both require that there be no consideration of Ginsberg’s replacement “until we have a new president.” Nobody seems to have noticed the problem with that, which I’ll set in the form of a question:

Assuming a bit much there, ain’tcha?

So once again, the Democrat-Socialists and NeverTrumpTards alike are just taking it as read, a rock-solid inevitability, that Trump will not, cannot, win.

Y’know, just like they did in 2016.

But…but…but…MUH POLLS, MUH POLLS!!!

Yeah, how’d that work out for ya LAST time, bright boy?

There is NO—zero, zip, nada—enthusiasm for Biden out there on the hustings, but everybody’s wild about Trump. Search for the feeblest Biden spark as diligently you like, everyplace you like, and you see…nothing. Your search will be in vain.

Boat regattas. Car parades. Biker runs. Speeches. Rallies. Press conferences. At every public appearance Trump makes, all across the country, we have thousands of people who are happy to stand for hours in lines that stretch for miles, literally, just on the off-chance that they MIGHT get in. We have people, hordes of them, camping out for days waiting to get tickets…to a friggin’ political rally.

Meanwhile, on the ever-rarer occasions they can persuade Zombie Joe to rise from his basement crypt—Alive! He’s alive! IT’S ALIIIIVE!!!—and dope his reanimated carcass up enough to prop him at least somewhat convincingly before a microphone, we have…

*crickets*

The enthusiasm that Trump generates is quite simply unprecedented, while enthusiasm for Biden is nowhere to be found. Folks, how can this be anything other than entirely dispositive? If this election is anything remotely resembling fair and honest, Biden will have trouble winning a single state. According to all visible evidence, Biden is well on his way to a drubbing of Mondale-esque proportions here (in 1984, Mondale won an embarrassing 13 electoral votes to Reagan’s 525, the worst election ass-whupping in American history).

Yet somehow, nobody really expects anything other than a hotly-contested election that most likely won’t be settled for weeks, if not months. In fact, there’s a very good chance this thing will end up being decided in the Supreme Court. But if the evidence that voter enthusiasm offers—easily discernible by numerous manifestations that are all right out there in plain sight—is any guide, Biden ought to just go ahead and give the concession speech now, while he still retains the power of speech.

Don’t get cocky? Yeah, yeah, I get that, and the truth is it’s probably sage advice. The Democrat-Socialist fraud machine may yet pull this off. But absolutely everything we can see says otherwise. I ain’t gonna go into what that says about the integrity of our election process, among other things. It speaks for itself, I think.

What the hell, why not update! Speaking of the Gramma’s Dying Wish Clause.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— At a somber ceremony this morning, leading government officials announced that the US Constitution, the oldest surviving national constitution and the founding document of the world’s leading democracy, will be entirely replaced by the last wishes of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“She was a super lady and everybody loved her,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. “I think the least we can do to honor her memory is get rid of that musty old Constitution, which I’ll remind you nobody likes anyway, and replace it with the last wishes of Justice Ginsburg, who was much less old and musty than the Constitution and definitely smelled much better, I promise you.”

Among the list of Ginsburg’s wishes that will now make up the governing principles of the nation are the right of all Americans to a nice bowl of soup, the requirement to have all thermostats set to 87 degrees year-round, and unlimited foot rubs with that bunion lotion they sell at the Walgreens.

Now that I’m getting old and decrepit myself, that all sounds pretty damned good to me.

Once Gropey, always Gropey

Hm. I’m beginning to think there could possibly be a pattern of reprehensible behavior here.

Vote for the lifelong degenerate! Because TRUMP HATES WOMEN!!!

Schumer makes the case so I don’t have to

Schmuck.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) vowed that Senate Democrats “will use every tool in the toolkit” to try to delay Republicans from filling Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat.

Schumer said, “We have tactical options to slow them down. We will use every tool in the toolkit. Now, admittedly, McConnell has changed things, changed the rules, so we have fewer tools and they’re less sharp, but every tool we have we will use. Today, we delayed committees going into effect. We had the right to do that and we did it. Tonight, we’re on the floor taking up all the time on the floor to talk about how bad this potential nominee — and there will be many other things that we can use. You’ll see them in the days ahead.”

Which is exactly why this is how the thing ought to be done:

You do not have to have the Judiciary Committee conduct hearings. That’s only a tradition that evolved, and it’s something that’s taken place, but it is not required. It’s not mandated. It really isn’t, folks. The Senate does not get to pick their own nominee, which is what Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrats want you to think. They want you to think the president doesn’t have any idea what he’s doing, he doesn’t get a choice in the matter, only the Democrats get to choose, and they don’t. All the rest of this is nothing more than political posturing.

McConnell rule, and that was during the Merrick Garland controversy, and it said you don’t have a nomination in the final year of a presidency if the Senate is held by the opposing party. And that’s been largely true since 1880, and especially true since the court has become more political over the years. But there’s nothing that says that Trump can’t nominate a replacement. And there’s nothing that says the Senate cannot vote now.

Folks, I know the tendency is to believe the media on these things because our society is just overburdened with this false notion of fairness. There’s nothing about fairness in this. This is purely procedural. The president has the constitutional duty to name a replacement. The Senate gets to advise and consent, and that can be nothing more than a vote. They consent by voting “yes” or they don’t consent by turning down the nominee. But they don’t get three weeks to trash the guy unless they’re given it, but they’re not required.

So there’s no reason to wait. There is literally no reason to wait. There’s no requirement to wait. The 2020 election has nothing to do with this Supreme Court vacancy. The 2016 election has everything to do with it. And, by the way, it’s also not Justice Ginsburg’s seat. Her dying wish is that her seat not be filled until after the next — it’s not her seat. Like Kennedy’s seat in the Senate was not his seat. It is our seat, not hers.

Bingo, with great big bells on it. Short-circuit the whole disgusting Democrat-Socialist circus. Deny them the opportunity to viciously defame and destroy not just the poor nominee but his/her spouse, children, parents, all relatives going generations back, and the horse they all rode in on. Take every monkeywrench in Schumer’s precious little “toolkit” away from him, and blunt every “arrow” in Pee-lousy’s “quiver” too, by just flushing the hearing process entirely and moving straight to a Senate vote.

Then let the whole horde scream like howler monkeys with hemorrhoids, right up until the day Trump’s nominee is sworn in if they want to. There is absolutely no reason—Constitutional, ethical, or political—to continue playing the abhorrent Democrat-Socialist game, and every reason not to. They’ve warped the USSC confirmation process until it’s just a very unfunny joke on the entire country. The whole mess needs to be changed—lifted from the Swampy mire of dysfunction and remade into something Americans at least don’t have to be embarrassed about anymore.

So change it, then. Time to put this Demonrat dumpster fire out for good.

Tragedy, or atrocity?

Just sickening.

Jake Gardner — awaiting arrest after a grand jury in Omaha indicted him last week — shot himself outside a medical clinic in suburban Portland, Oregon, two law enforcement officials told The World-Herald. Police in Hillsboro, Oregon, found the 38-year-old former Marine dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound about 12:20 p.m.

Gardner’s attorneys, Stu Dornan and Tom Monaghan, said Gardner shot himself on the day he had said he would surrender in connection with manslaughter and three other felony charges stemming from the May 30 confrontation that led to the death of 22-year-old James Scurlock.

Now, both men are dead. By the same hand.

Sunday, Dornan and Monaghan blamed Gardner’s apparent suicide on a cocktail of behavioral health problems stemming from head trauma he experienced during military service; the belief that people were out to kill him; and an “incessant rush to judgment” by social media jockeys.

Dornan said Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine — who defeated Dornan in 2006 to become county attorney — had made the right call in ruling Gardner’s actions justified. Gardner had claimed that Scurlock had him in a chokehold and wouldn’t let go, despite Gardner’s repeated pleas to “get off me.” At the end of the 18-second struggle, Gardner switched the gun to his left hand and fired over his shoulder, killing Scurlock.

Grand jurors, under the guidance of a special prosecutor, ruled out self-defense as a justification.

Bottom line, Dornan and Monaghan said, Gardner had lost his bars (a landlord ended his lease after the shooting), his home, his livelihood. And he was about to lose his freedom. Add in behavioral health concerns, Dornan said, and suicide was not a surprise, even though his attorneys fully expected him to turn himself in Sunday night. Monaghan said Gardner did not leave a suicide note.

“I had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Gardner before his return, and he was really shook up,” Dornan said. “The grand jury indictment was a shock to him, it was a shock to us, it was a shock to many people.”

As a monstrous abuse of any reasonable concept of justice, shocking would certainly be one way to describe it, yeah. I can think of others. And so can Ace.

The Omaha Man Who Shot a BLM Attacker in a Videotaped Open-and-Shut Case of Self-Defense Was Indicted to Appease the Mob.
That Man Has Now Committed Suicide.
Ace

BLM will attack you, and unless you allow yourself to be murdered or to have your head bashed in and left with brain damage, the agents of the state will then act as BLM’s enforcement officers and imprison you for defying the illegal demands of BLM.

It’s now legal to resist a police officer but it’s illegal to resist a BLM rioter and street thug?

Had enough yet?

We’ll find out soon enough, I guess. As Ace goes on to say, this poor Marine was pretty much murdered by the prosecutor on behalf of Burn Loot Murder. There damned sure ought to be a steep price paid for that, and I mean with a quickness, too. Otherwise, we’ll know that no, we apparently have NOT had enough just yet. And will be getting more of it, too.

Update! Herschel with the skinny on our New Rules.

War has been declared on you, your family, and your possessions.  You’ve seen enough instances like this to know how it’s going to go down.

You behave according to traditional Western and Biblical jurisprudence, and then the unthinkable happens…

This all happens if you use traditional TTPs to defend yourself and your family, even attempting to warn rioters with warning shots because you don’t really want to harm anyone, under the assumption that America is still a civilized and just society, not at war with itself.

Bottom line: in Amerika v2.0, if you’re white, you have NO right to defend yourself, under any circumstances whatsoever. Your one and only “right” is to passively submit to any and all abuse—verbal, physical, or Other—that your Approved Minority Group attacker may decide to deal out. Call it “reparational justice,” let’s say. Please don’t forget to humbly express profoundest gratitude to your “oppressed” tormenter for enlightening you, and for helping you to “evolve” into a far better person.

No time to go wobbly

HOT dog! A both-barrels Michael Anton blast at some unusually fat, juicy targets.

The instant Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing was announced, the battle lines were drawn. Or, more accurately, one side girded for battle, while Republicans clucked with confusion about what to do next.

Which should be no surprise. If Republicans are good at anything, it’s finding “principled” reasons to betray their constituents and contradict their much vaunted philosophy. President Trump, naturally, has sounded strong, as, to his credit, has Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). But the majority leader has to manage a fractious caucus and a thin margin. Many of his members either will be looking for excuses not to vote, or for a reason to vote no, or (worse) will be persuadable by sophistical arguments as to why stabbing their president, their voters, and their country in the back is “the right thing to do.”

The two most recent, and therefore currently binding, expressions of the will of the people were the elections of 2016 and 2018. The former produced a Republican president and reaffirmed Republican control of the Senate, in place since the election of 2010. The latter reaffirmed Republican control of the Senate yet again. The will of the people, therefore, as expressed through elections—the only legitimate basis for the exercise of political power in our constitutional system—is that conservative justices be elevated to the Supreme Court.

It wasn’t Republicans who nuked the filibuster for judicial nominees. Can you recall a single instance of Republicans treating a nominee as disgracefully as the Democrats treated Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, or Brett Kavanaugh? I can’t. Yet they constantly and sanctimoniously insist that the process is sacrosanct while scolding Republicans to obey every past procedural and conventional nicety that the Democrats have already torched.

Republicans mostly go along obediently. The Democrats nearly always vote in lockstep against any Republican judicial nominee; Republicans routinely break ranks and vote for Democratic nominees. A phrase I’ve heard to describe this faux-magnanimity is “beautiful losers,” though there’s nothing beautiful about it.

Does anyone for a second think, were the shoe on the other foot, the Democrats would hesitate to confirm their pick? To ask is to laugh.

The call to respect “norms” rings hollow after four years of the Left, the leftist media, the courts, and the administrative state all breaking norms, to the point of threatening if they don’t get their way on this vacancy, even more systemic change: D.C. and Puerto Rico statehood (four more Democratic senators, forever), abolishing the Electoral College (New York, California, Chicago, and Philadelphia electing the president, forever), and packing the Supreme Court.

The Democrats know what political power is for: to enact your side’s agenda. They and their media allies successfully gaslight Republicans into fearing that exercising political power is “partisan” and therefore illegitimate—but only when Republicans do it. Democrats themselves have no hesitation.

Nor should they. The whole point of our democratic-republican system is for voters to elect people they perceive to be on their side, who favor their own approach to common problems, and who when given the opportunity then enact that agenda. That, in essence, is democracy. That is what Republican senators are there to do. Let them do it.

“Let,” hell. Hold their feet to the fire and MAKE them do it, by God. Vacillating, nervous-Nellie GOPe squishes have just been presented with one final opportunity to make good here, before a veritable horde of people walk away from their party forever in total disgust. Their Job-like patience exhausted by an unending train of slippery-slimery DC dissembling, ducking-and-diving and shucking-and-jiving betrayals, and forked-tongue tough talk, succeeded by absolutely nothing at all, those long-suffering GOPe constituencies have been gradually stripped of all faith that any hope remains for American politics ever being reformed or redeemed.

Lied to, cheated on, courted then spurned by a rogue’s gallery of surpassingly treacherous, untrustworthy swine with less personal integrity than a deer tick, those put-upon and fed-up folks are a powder keg of righteous, boiling anger, one which all ProPols ignore at their great peril. And trust me, the fuse is lit.

So you’d best square them shoulders, stand up on them hind legs like men and not curs, nut on up, and do the right thing here at long last. Because if you don’t turn the right way at this truly critical crossroads, in these truly dangerous times—well, there are other ways to be rid of you than voting. All of them much less pleasant ones. For you.

I don’t even have to say the words at this point, do I?

Goblins in Hell

Like me, Z ain’t a fan.

After years of false promises, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has finally made the world a better place by exited from it. Her near-death experiences had reached a number where it was starting to look as if she was immortal. She was in the hospital more than the typical nurse, but somehow always managed to recover. It turns out that her deal with Old Scratch did have an expiry date and the world rejoices. They announced her death Friday night, but who knows when she really died.

As is custom when a Progressive goblin dies, the liberal media will carry on as if she was the most important person in history. They had already made movies about her that no one watched, so they will all be wearing black armbands this week. Whatever funeral services they have for her will be turned into another circus. Maybe in honor of George Floyd, peace be upon him, they will drop her corpse next to his. Then pilgrims can pay respects to both on the same trip.

Ginsberg was the example of everything that has gone wrong with America. Her tenure as a justice was defined by her doctrinaire screeds against ordered liberty. The only reason she was on the court was due to the unwritten rule that at least four justices must be Progressive fanatics, preferably Jewish ones. Her career on the lower court made clear that she would always follow orders from the Left. She did not write a single opinion that was not known in advance.

Of course, the issue in her final days was the fact that she was nothing more than an animated corpse, but she refused to retire. There was no way she was lucid enough and competent enough to perform her duty, but the system allows a justice to stay on until they take their last breath. In theory, Congress can remove them, but that never happens, so the judges can stick around until death. With Ginsberg, it did not matter as all of her opinions were written in advance for her.

If one were hoping to reform America in order to prevent what appears to be a bloody breakup, the first place to start is the court.

He goes on to prescribe another of those perfectly logical, simple, common-sense solutions that would almost certainly work quite well, and so doesn’t have the slightest chance of ever being considered seriously, much less implemented.

You just THOUGHT they had lost their minds before

Guess they finally decided to give up and stop trying to hide it.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the enigmatic, longtime Supreme Court justice who attained near cult-like status among progressive circles, died Friday at the age of 87 from complications surrounding metastatic pancreatic cancer.

The late Supreme Court justice, who spent more than two decades on the bench in the highest court of the land, is survived by her two children, Jane Carol and James Steven Ginsburg.

Ginsburg, who was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 by President Bill Clinton, was known for her soft-spoken demeanor that masked an analytical mind, a deep concern for the rights of every American and a commitment to upholding the Constitution.

Riiiiight. The above maudlin applesauce was excreted by formerly “fair and balanced” Fox News, just in case anybody out there was still cherishing any cozy illusions about what they’ve morphed into. This, also, is pretty amusing:

Sure thing there, Roof. I’ll just let Ace dispense with that unsubtle chicanery.

This leftist hack stayed on the court despite being in a dying state, just to run out the clock, and now she demands that her corpse also be counted as living for purposes of running out the clock still further?

There are now reports that she’s been dying for weeks but rather than give the Administration a heads up, she concealed it, again, to keep the seat for a leftist.

But now Trump is supposed to help this nasty partisan achieve her mission to thwart him? To advance her partisan politics?

Are you kidding me?

Actually, I might have been fine with that, back in the long-gone days before the Left entire had brazenly broadcast their intention to reject the election results no matter what and attempt an outright coup—a hard coup this time, unlike the last several outragous but failed cracks at a more “soft” one.

But now, after the escalating lunacy we’ve seen? Fuck no. No way in hell. Shitlibs and their organized-crime syndicate masquerading as a legitimate political party having unequivocally renounced any and all pretense to civility, respect for the rule of law and the peaceful transition of power, and the right of their hated opposition to a say in their own governance, there’s now way, WAY too much at stake for Real Americans to even dream of continuing to treat with them as if they were either honorable or our countrymen. It’s like this:

@johnfund

The Court must be at a full compliment should any election disputes such as Bush v Gore occur.

Perzackly. And the Dems have no one but themselves to blame here. They’re the ones who have made clear as crystal that “election disputes” are no longer merely remote possibility, idle speculation, silly conspiracy-mongering, or the wild surmise of bug-eyed paranoiacs. They’re a sure thing, a dead cert, a guarantee written in blood for all to see by America That Was’s most dangerous, fanatical enemies. A replay of the Bush-Gore dumpster fire is the best-case scenario at this point, the absolutely most-positive outcome saner sorts can hope for. Sad as that is, for all of us.

Update! Joe Hoft underscores the point.

With this election there are already expected Democrat actions to steal the election through voter fraud and other yet unknown tactics. With the Democrats attempting to steal this election, the make up of the court is very important. An additional justice who rules based on the law will prevent Democrats from stealing this election through unconstitutional and corrupt actions.

It’s time to get the Supreme Court back to interpreting the law and not making the law.

This is why the now vacant Supreme Court Justice position should be replaced as soon as possible.

Said a mouthful there, buddy.

Trouble, trouble, troubling update! I agree with him completely. I also think he’s missing the bigger-picture point completely.

I don’t want to hear conservatives suggesting the fair thing to do is to wait until after the election to fill RGB’s seat because of Merrick Garland or any other lame excuse. Sure, we could give them mercy and pat ourselves on the back for taking the high road, but we shouldn’t. We should not relent or give the Democrats any mercy because they have not, and will not, return the favor.

The people of Minneapolis, New York, Portland, Seattle, and many other cities didn’t receive mercy when Democrat activists destroyed their communities and businesses. Small business owners didn’t receive mercy when left-wing politicians shut them down to hurt Trump. For years, Republicans have been mercilessly attacked for sporting Trump clothing or putting Trump signs on their property. Sports fans begging the NFL not to ruin football haven’t received any mercy from being inundated with social justice propaganda during the game. Kyle Rittenhouse and the McCloskey’s are fighting absurd litigation against Democrat tyrants for defending themselves against violent leftist mobs. They know the charges won’t stick, but they are attempting to punish those who resist the left anyways. A party that celebrates the death of Conservatives is devoid of mercy.

I am not suggesting Republicans cheat or break the rules. What I am suggesting is conservatives should reciprocate the mercilessness the left has for Republicans by moving forward with filling RGB’s SCOTUS seat. When Democrats have an opportunity to advance their causes, they take it — always. Conservatives should do the same.

We should not give Democrats more motivation to steal the election via voter fraud and endless post-election litigation by upping the stakes with a SCOTUS seat. The best course of action is to ease the tension by replacing RGB with a new judge pronto. The outrage that follows will be nothing new.

Nothing new? Of course it won’t be. NONE of the recent horrid madness is really anything new. It’s more a matter of degree, of the intensity burning behind it, and that’s all. The flame itself remains the same.

Folks, the situation for every Real American just got worse—orders of magnitude worse. The maniacal frenzy RGB’s death will surely ignite among the Progs is going to be nothing short of staggering, completely beyond belief. Perhaps the most dangerous aspect will be the likelihood that, having been demoralized and enervated by the pathetic, transparently fraudulent Cadaver Joe’s aimless campaign until now, the Left’s apathetic torpor will now be blown to smithereens; with the terrifying specter of another Trump SC appointment looming, they’ll now be motivated in the extreme to go to the polls, rather than just throwing up their hands in despair and giving Election Day a miss.

Lang might recoil from suggesting that the Repubs “cheat or break the rules,” but I damned sure won’t. This election was for the all marbles already, as I’ve said repeatedly. With this unwelcome and supremely untimely development, if the Repubs don’t now resolve to cast all else aside and use any and every tool in the shed, fair or foul, in order to win this thing and win it big, whatever thin scrim remaining of America That Was will well and truly be lost forever, blown away on the most ill of winds.

The stakes, historically high before, have just been raised dramatically. But already, there are clear indications that the usual RINO suspects either don’t see our mortal peril, or just don’t give a damn. As for bending the knee to the nauseating canonization of RGB herself, straight to hell with that revisionist bushwa.

Unlike me, the usual leftists who loved her too much (as well as a few Republicans who ought to know better) think that the best encomium for Ginsburg is that she “fought” for “justice and equality”…

That praise — that she “fought” for “justice and equality” — sums up everything that was wrong with Ginsburg for it describes a political activist, not a judge. The Supreme Court is supposed to consist of nine people who try, apolitically, to ensure that the United States is run along constitutional lines.

Ginsburg, though, had little love for the Constitution. She was quite open about that in 2012 when she offered some “helpful” advice to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as it was contemplating the Egyptian Constitution of 2012:

“I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012,” Ginsburg said in an interview on Al Hayat television last Wednesday.

Of course you wouldn’t, you scurrilous cretin. Hell, you never looked to it even once; like all Progtards, you spent all your time and effort on looking for ways around it.

“I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, have an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done.”

The South African Constitution does not promote a small government for free people who possess inherent rights that must be free from political interference. Instead, it’s a micromanaging monstrosity that identifies “rights” (some copied from us), that are, in fact, privileges subject to the political winds.

Ginsburg was also an awful judge. A good Supreme Court opinion, like a solid house, is built on a constitutional foundation, with the materials coming from clear and strong precedent and law. Ginsburg’s opinions, especially when she was pushing political ends, were composed of random bits and pieces of law that could be cobbled together to make a rough shack. She and her clerks hid this shoddy construction in muddy and muddled writing surrounded by myriad case citations that were never entirely on point.

That Ginsburg saw her role as political was shown by the fact that, even on her deathbed, she tried to manipulate Trump’s constitutional authority to nominate a new Supreme Court justice. In that vein, it’s worth remembering that she abandoned judicial impartiality and interfered in the election by using her enormous popularity to speak against Trump.

So at last, it’s adios and good fucking riddance to one Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the most atrocious anti-Constitution snakes-in-the-grass ever to disgrace the US Supreme Court. May the withered crone burn in Hell for a thousand years.

Sucks to be them update! Thank the good Lord for arrogance, all-thumbed blunders, and just-plain-stupid lack of foresight.

‘Notorious RBG’ made a serious miscalculation by not retiring during the Obama years. If she had, there probably would be a much younger jurist holding the line for the liberal wing of the Supreme Court right now. No hassle. Alas, that didn’t happen, and for all these liberals who are going ballistic—this battle was really RBG’s choosing. I think she, like many, thought Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 election. She would then ride off into the sunset and that would be it. Instead, Trump won arguably the biggest political upsets of all time, certainly within the last generation, and got stuck. It’s an unpopular opinion among liberal circles for sure, maybe more agree but keep it to themselves. Still, the meltdown is popcorn worthy.

It won’t stay that way for long; our time to sit back, relax, and just savor the amusement will be short-lived. The fuse is now well and truly lit; matters are about get very, very serious indeed, and nobody is going to like it.

Kudos update! As POTUS and all, Trump has to speak very judiciously at times like this, which has never been exactly his greatest strength. So the uncharacteristic restraint of his spontaneous, off-the-cuff reaction could come as something of a surprise.

President Donald Trump was wrapping up a Minnesota rally when news broke of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death Friday night sending shockwaves through the nation and promising to intensify an already tense campaign under a contentious election facing an historic level of cultural unrest.

“Ruth Bader Ginsburg just died,” a reporter told the president as he prepared to board Air Force One.

“She just died? Wow. I didn’t know that. You’re telling me now for the first time,” Trump said while “Tiny Dancer” played on the surrounding speakers at the rally.

“She led an amazing life. What else can you say? She was an amazing woman, whether you agreed or not, she was an amazing woman who led an amazing life. I am sad to hear that,” he said.

Pure class, of a sort the Left seems to be quite proud of being wholly incapable.

Mostly peaceful update! Burn baby burn.

(CNN) Ruth Bader Ginsburg, champion of abortion rights who died on Friday is enjoying a fiery but mostly peaceful afterlife, the court said.

Ginsburg, a lifelong champion of killing babies before they had a chance to breathe and a fierce advocate for gender equality, died “surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C., due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer.”

Despite her diminutive stature, Ginsburg held many firsts for the court. Many people didn’t know that not only was Ginsburg the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court (appointed in 1876), but she was also the first gay Latinx to preside over the important branch. She was also the first Supreme Court justice to win a rap battle, beating Eminem in 2003 under the pseudonym Notorious RBG.

A CNN report concluded that Hell is 93% peaceful and only 7% of the underworld consists of fiery butt rape.

“It’s really not that bad here,” Ginsburg said as a frozen fire engulfed her face. “The people are actually nicer than people in Washington and there are two Starbucks on every corner!”

Actually, the people probably ARE nicer at that.

Bloodfeast

Steyn, being a sane, civilized human being rather than a witless, primordial ape, finds himself appalled.

Just another weekend in America: A black man walks up to a police cruiser and shoots two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies. Both, as I write, are alive but in very serious condition. If they survive, they will live with their wounds for what remains of their days.

It is small consolation that even in Compton the number of persons willing to commit cold-blooded murder in broad daylight is relatively small. It is rather more disturbing to contemplate the huge mass of people willing to gloat and feast on the blood. Here is a chap called “beno_the great” rejoicing on “social” media that “them niggers just got aired out”, even as them niggers bleed out behind him with not a soul going to their assistance.

The felled deputies were eventually removed to the St Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, a private hospital founded by the Sisters of St Francis of Penance. The nearer public hospital, Martin Luther King Jr, was closed a decade-and-a-half back because of its general incompetence and mismanagement resulting in so many unnecessary deaths that the American College of Surgeons revoked their certification of the trauma unit. So now the bodies travel further. Once the marching morons discovered that the wounded were at St Francis, they went and blocked the entrances to the hospital’s emergency department.

This, of course, made no difference to the victims, who were already in the operating room, but it did prevent anybody else requiring emergency services from getting into the hospital – for example, one of those “hands up, don’t shoot” types we’re assured are being mown down by racist cops every day of the week, even as the body count of this evil #BLM movement climbs daily. The County Sheriff beseeched the “mostly peaceful protesters” not to obstruct the entrances and exits:

People’s lives are at stake when ambulances can’t get through.

Earth to California law enforcement: That’s not a bug but a feature. As one protester put it:

Y’all gonna die one by one. This ain’t gonna stop.

Oh, yes it is. The very moment enough Real Americans get enough of a bellyful to step up at last and end your worthless asses, it will. I most solemnly assure you of dat shizzle, mah nizzle.

As for the two deputies on the surgeon’s table, they need to be transferred to the mortuary slab:

I want to deliver a message to the family of the pigs. I hope they fuckin’ die.

When they spell it out, take them at their word.

Precisely so. That’s step one of that whole “ending this” process I mentioned just now, see.

Update! Tell ya what, brainiacs: we won’t even use real bullets to put a stop to your shit. Not at first, anyhow. Deal?

The hilarity quotient is potentially stratospheric here, with the added plus that we can always go to the, umm, hard stuff later on. But judging from this next, all it really takes to close BLM/PantiFa out is proper policing, determination to uphold the law, and a radical departure from other cities’ Turn ‘Em Loose Bruce approach to bail.

As we previously reported, there was an officer-involved shooting death in Lancaster, Pennsylvania Sunday that occurred after a knife-wielding 27-year-old Ricardo Munoz charged at a Lancaster city police officer, according to bodycam footage.

Violent rioters took to the streets not long after word spread on social media of the deadly encounter. Fires were started, bricks were thrown at a local police station, and fireworks were randomly set off.

Monday night, however, was a much different story according to local reports and others on the scene, and that was largely thanks to a combination of “proactive policing” from law enforcement and actions from local officials that effectively deterred another night of violence before it could even get started.

A couple of truly delightful Tweets, of which there are more at the Red State link.

And THAT, my friends, is how you ball the friggin’ jack. Wasn’t so difficult, now was it?

Hold the pickle!

I repeat: sure, what the hell, why not.

From the Breitbart story:

Burger King has launched a new advertising campaign in Finland featuring its eponymous mascot sharing a deep kiss with Ronald McDonald, along with the English slogan ‘Love Conquers All’.

The image is front and centre on the landing page of the fast food chain’s Finnish website, with various outlets with a focus on advertising showing physical posters at locations such as public bus stops as well.

The campaign appears to be in aid of Helsinki Pride Week, which was moved to September from its usual slot due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. It also appears to have been influenced by the race politics of the Black Lives Matter movement, featuring the new version of the Pride flag topped with a black and brown stripe in order to “represent” non-white non-heterosexuals specifically.

“Burger King has always stood for equality, love and everyone’s right to be just the way they are,” claimed the burger-selling franchise’s brand manager in Finland, Kaisa Kasila.

Wonderful. So what the fucking fuck ever happened to standing for making a good fucking burger and fucking selling it to me without cramming your fucking politics down my throat right along with it, fuckface?

I must admit, Ace’s riposte, from Ace, which I purloined for my title above, is head and shoulders above anything I could ever have come up with myself.

Shut ’em down, salt the earth

It appears that at least one federal agency is in open insurrection against legitimate elected authority. Guess which one.

Go on, guess.

At the beginning of September, the director of the Office of Management and Budget announced that, at President Trump’s direction, all federal agencies would be banned from imposing Critical Race Theory (CRT) on their employees.  This was the right thing to do.  CRT is pure racism.  While the KKK was obsessed with blacks and the Nazis were obsessed with Jews, CRT is obsessed with white people.  Teaching it at federal agencies is a shocking violation of the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  Despite its unconstitutionality and the president’s order, though, the CDC is planning to continue CRT training.

Christopher Rufo, who has become the point man for all of these stories about CRT training in the federal government, discovered what he aptly called a “BOMBSHELL.”  The CDC is going ahead with its plan — paid for with your money — to impose a thirteen-week-long CRT training program on its employees.

This an important story because it is a nexus of the issues that brought Trump into the White House in 2016.  It’s the story of an out-of-control federal agency that feels that no one — and certainly not the constitutional executive of the United States — has any authority over it.

Well, of course that’s true, and the way things ought to be anyhow. Who better understands what’s good for us hapless knaves and serfs than these exalted “experts”? I mean, just look at what a bang-up job they’ve done battling the Election Flu CRISIS!!!™ on our behalf, fechrissakes.

Update! Unrelated, you say? In a pig’s eye, sez I.

Dr. Anthony Fauci just spilled the beans: contrary to the implicit promise numerous politicians made that COVID-19 restrictions would only last “until there’s an effective vaccine,” Fauci says the arrival of a vaccine won’t mean life will return to normal, perhaps for more than a year.

“If you’re talking about getting back to a degree of normality which resembles where we were prior to COVID, it’s going to be well into 2021, maybe even towards the end of 2021,” said the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases on Friday.

A safe and effective vaccine produced this quickly would be a stunning scientific accomplishment that could save thousands of lives. But Fauci warned that widespread distribution and getting “the majority, or more, of the population vaccinated and protected” won’t happen until perhaps the end 2021, and therefore means we cannot be free from oppressive lockdown measures until at least that point.

Dear “Dr” Falsie:

Don’t trust you, nor your minions, nor your entire Deep State bureaucracy. Under NO circumstances whatosever, then, will I be accepting a dose of your “vaccine.” Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. Go take a flying fuck at a plate glass window, the whole menagerie of you fascist rat bastards. That is all.

Yrs trly etc.

NUTS!

Cadaver Joe has lost it.

Joe Biden is in the early stages of dementia and is on medication for it.

“This is the big one, and the one I have the least direct experience with, but it’s been an open secret for some time. Anyone who has had a relative with Alzheimer’s or dementia can tell you, there are good days and bad days. On the good days, when Joe is at his most lucid, his campaign manager Jen will send him out for photo ops or TV interviews… make hay while the sun is shining, you know? On the bad days, Jen just tells the press pool “No Joe today,” and they’re all like, “Okay, cool!” Most of the time, he’s just a little foggy and gets really agitated. But one of my co-workers told me that back in May, there was a day where he thought he was running against Gary Hart in the ’84 primary again. Joe went under wraps for several days after that.

He’s been more lucid recently because his physician, Dr. O’Connor, put him on Namenda. Jen apparently was worried about someone finding it out, because she insisted that he prescribe it under a series of phony names, and then have the interns pick it up. I bet there are a lot of pharmacists in Philly wondering why there are so many young people on Namenda.

The dementia medication has had, um… unfortunate side effects.

There’s no dancing around this… the medication has made Joe incontinent. Though his “good days” have increased dramatically, he can barely get through a press event without running to the bathroom. That’s why he didn’t take questions after announcing Harris as his running mate. They weren’t afraid of the questions, the press loves him… they were afraid he was going to piss his pants on-camera. Lately, Jen’s been having closed-door meetings to discuss which brand of incontinence pads would be best to purchase. Seriously, a group of paid staffers sat around and discussed which brands were the least visible, the least likely to leak, and wouldn’t audibly “crinkle.”

That’s around the time I left the campaign. I can’t be a party to this sick game anymore. I never really liked Joe Biden, but he deserves better than to be thrust into the public eye when he should be in memory care. His wife should put a stop to this, but she’s way too excited about being “First Lady” to care about her ailing husband.”

That’s from an anonymous former Biden staffer, of whose credibility Thomas Lifson is cautiously dubious:

Normally, I would spurn the idea of citing an anonymous post that purports to contain inside information on a presidential candidate. But two factors currently weigh on my mind, causing me to make an exception.

One is that MSM Trump-haters have no compunction at all over relying exclusively on anonymous sources. The Atlantic used to be prestigious, and regarded as the gold standard for rigorous reporting and editing, and yet went with allegations against President Trump that are completely incongruent with his other behavior: expressing contempt for wounded and dead veterans.

That alone would not be enough.

But the other factor is more serious and directly relevant to the anonymous post I am about to cite.

The Biden campaign clearly is hiding their candidate from exposure to circumstances that might test his mental acuity and vigor on a sustained basis. We now have direct evidence that the campaign has been deceiving the public by using a teleprompter for Biden to read when allegedly answering questions in an alleged interview. The campaign’s chief spokesman evaded answering a direct question about teleprompter use during faux interviews.

Thus, we know that the critical question of Biden’s ability to discharge his duties if elected is being deceptively evaded. That, in my mind, opens the door to consider what is claimed to be an insider’s account of the true state of Biden’s health, now that we know his campaign would deceive us on this question.

We know full well, or damned well ought to by now, that they’d deceive anybody on absolutely anything at all in order to seize and retain power for themselves. These ARE Democrats we’re talking about here, after all.

Update! Further evidence, as if it were needed, from Howie Carr:

Yes, it will be great TV when Biden takes the stage with Trump.

If Joe’s being given his answers to recite via an earpiece, the Trump campaign will jam those transmissions. If Biden is allowed a Teleprompter (doubtful), the president will sneak up behind him and read Joe’s answer for him before Hidin’ Biden even realizes what’s happening.

I’ll leave you with one of Joe’s longer perorations of the week, as usual an attack on the incumbent. He began with a sneeze and then let it rip:

“He promised his administration would enforce every last buy in American provision on behalf of the American people and what makes his wild claims and hopes, he now hopes we don’t notice what he said or won’t remember and when he does follow through or doesn’t do when follow through, the exact opposite.”

May we quote you on that, Mr. Vice President?

In all fairness to Senile Uncle Gropey, it must be said that he was never really all that bright anyway.
