Parasites

And, as parasites always do, the pAntiFa variety is going hell-bent for leather to kill off its host. In fact, that’s for all intents and purposes the characteristic that defines them as parasites and not, say, symbiotes or something else more or less benign.

Here is a pamphlet that is being distributed by the insurgents (pdf warning, but it’s hosted here) at ANTIFA and BLM. It’s called “Why we break windows.” Here is an excerpt:

property destruction is an effective tactic. From the Boston Tea Party to the demonstrations against the 1999 World Trade Organization summit in Seattle, property destruction has been an essential part of many struggles. It can pressure or punish opponents by inflicting an economic cost.

You know what else punishes opponents who would break my shit? Bullets. That doesn’t mean that shooting people is a valid form of discussion or protest. Then the rationalize it thusly:

Shop windows represent segregation. They are invisible barriers. Like so much in this society, they simultaneously offer a view of “the good life” and block access to it. In a polarizing economy, shop windows taunt the poor with commodities they cannot afford, status and security they will accumulate so much wealth at everyone else’s expense. In this situation, never attain. For millions upon millions, the healthy food, medicines, and other goods they need are the breadth of an entire social class away from them, a gulf they will not cross in a lifetime of hard work—a gulf represented by half an inch of plate glass.

Property rights are anathema to commies. They don’t want to work for it, but they want it. So they take it. At the end of the day, that is socialism and communism is- the theft of goods and services, wrapped up in a pretty bow. That’s why so many who espouse these theories imagine themselves as sitting around writing shitty poetry while other, less educated and intelligent folks, slave away in the gulags.

Follows, DiveMedic’s pithy thoughts as to what might be done:

Still, I am not here to psychoanalyze their behavior. The point of this post is twofold:

  • To show that there is no discussion, reasoning, or changing the minds of those who are trying to overthrow our very way of life, and
  • To point out that there is only one way out of this, albeit with two possible outcomes

This is the reasoning that they give for breaking windows:

It is not a coincidence that shop windows have been targeted in protests against police violence. Businesses, be they multinational or local, are the tax base that pays for police, and without police they would not be able to addressing protests directly to the police is oblique, for the police answer to business owners and politicians, not to public opinion. It is much more direct to target their bosses, the capitalists themselves. Cost them enough money in smashed windows, and maybe they’ll think twice about what kind of policing they call for.

They are wrong. The police aren’t there to keep the poor people poor. No, the police are there to ensure that the accused receive a free trial. If the police cease protecting society from those who would destroy their property, those who wish to protect their property will simply begin killing those who would destroy and steal their property. The posse rides out in search of the horse thief, then the posse returns with the horse but not the thief.

They sure do seem to be counting on a heck of a lot of assumptions which are not now, nor have ever been, in evidence, don’t they? Fine by me, though; let’s all just see how well that works out for ‘em ere the end.

Echoes

It’s more than just my vanity talking when I say this dude sounds a lot like me.

Apocalypse Now?
I am not prone to doomsday thinking, but neither am I unrealistically optimistic. When President Trump won the election for a second term (against overwhelming odds) in 2024, I understood that the nation had not been “saved” from the radical Left’s destructive policies; we had merely gotten a reprieve. Still, events this year, since Trump 2.0 took office, make me wonder if the polity is too divided, too debased, too indoctrinated, and too detached from “traditional American values” to survive as a democratic republic committed to the rule of law. For the first time in my life, I am concerned about the survival of the United States—not from a foreign threat, but from within.

Blue states and blue cities that had declared themselves “sanctuaries” for the millions of Third World invaders have now become the epicenter of a secession-like resistance to the enforcement of federal immigration law. Democrats’ frantic efforts to demonize, obstruct, and endanger ICE, with the active assistance of rogue judges, amount to an insurrection. Democrats seek to prevent the deportation of, and to grant de facto amnesty to, the millions of illegal aliens who flooded our borders under Biden—foiling our immigration laws. The only possible explanation is that Democrats hope to transform the electorate with Third World detritus, to whom they intend to grant de jureamnesty (and voting rights), thereby ensuring perpetual political control by presiding over the resulting welfare state.

This is not new—indeed, it has been going on for deacdes in California–but I had hoped the American public would rise up and oppose the Democrats’ Kevorkian-like national assisted suicide when it became apparent that importing the Third World was a conscious strategy to ruin America. Just look at the Somali enclaves in Minnesota and the Muslim enclaves in Michigan. They did not happen by accident. The massive influx of illegal aliens with foreign customs, attitudes, and beliefs—unwilling to assimilate and hostile to our culture–erodes the civic glue that binds us together as Americans. Thus, blue city voters elected a socialist pro-Palestinian Muslim as mayor of New York City, and the radical Left’s reaction to the assassination of a National Guard member by an unvetted Afghan refugee in the nation’s capital is to blame President Trump for deploying the National Guard.

Where is the outrage at widespread predation and fraud by foreign invaders?

Isolated in whatever tiny pockets of old-school Real Americanism that still exist, that’s where. Which indicates that the only realistic answer to the question posed in Pulliam’s title is that, much as we may need one right about now, there is in fact no “apocalypse” coming, neither in the short nor the long term.

Apocalypse now? Apocalypse NEVER, more like.

Lots more yet and, grim and depressing though it surely is, you must read all of this one, folks.

Civics primer

A civics lesson in movie-review mufti.

Constitutional purists, in the main, adhere to the judicial philosophy of ‘originalism.’ That is, they do not believe the Constitution and its Amendments are evolving or subject to change in meaning based on the mood of the times. They try to understand the contemporaneous intent of the words by those who wrote them.

Those of us of a certain age will likely think this just too durned obvious for words, while for most of you young whelps out there it will probably come as real news.

Another civics lesson, complete with obligatory CF-style digression, that’s been languishing in the “Local Drafts” folder for a goodish while now, presented in full below the fold.

WRECKED ’em

What Coleman said.

PREACH it, bruh.

Off with their masks!

Forcibly, violently, and painfully, thanks to the great and powerful Wizard of Oz Musk.

Elon Musk’s zeal for truth reveals the online frauds aiming to divide us
On Friday Elon Musk, having figured out that a lot of influential X accounts weren’t what they claimed to be, activated an X feature showing where users were actually posting from — and uncovered (at least) a million lies.

Turns out a lot of users claiming to be disillusioned Trump voters, or anti-Israel Americans, are actually foreign frauds.

Like the one that posted: “Trump is Israel First. I’m done with MAGA. I hope Republicans lose.”

Americans turning on Trump over Israel?

Nope. The account was based in Turkey.

Likewise the woke-right “groyper” movement supposedly elevating white supremacist Nick Fuentes seems to be largely a foreign sham, and “Ron Smith, MAGA Hunter,” a prolific anti-Trump poster with a substantial following, turns out to be from Kenya.

Many users billing themselves as “Native American” with accounts specializing in divisive racial attacks on white people are actually foreign, and mostly from Bangladesh.

And so on, and so on.

Awful lot of jihadi weird-beards skulking behind those online guises, same-same with the ostensible Paleosimians whining about being the victims of “genocide” in Gaza from their homes in Turkey, Kenya, or Poland. Crack on Netanyahu, Israel, and (((***Dem JooJooJooJOOOOOOZ!!!***))) all you like, but don’t go acting all shocked and butthurt to learn that the people you’re associating yourself with online ain’t necessarily the people you think they are.

Kudos to Elon for yanking the rug right out from under certain unworthy, deceitful frauds, thereby prompting plenty of long-overdue attitude adjustment into the bargain. Kinda pathetic that so many of us so badly needed reminding of the most basic rule of online existence: Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, is as it seems here. On the Innarnuts you either take absolutely everything with a YUUUGE grain of salt, or you just aint tall enough for this ride yet, kid.

Tucker: what happened?

One of the biggest disappointments for me over the past 3-4 years or so has been Tucker Carlson’s slow, sad slide from being one of the most effective, entertaining, and influential commentators on Our Side down to being just another gibbering, flakey-fringey weirdo who just doesn’t know when to shut up, but badly needs to learn. His baffling decision to sign on with the stupid, self-negating Kike-O-Phobic legions and start in. on peddling that rancid swill pains me no end. It would seem that PJM’s Scott Pinsker, whom I have excerpted/linked here many times before, shares my dismay (NOTE: No link; I didn’t include it when I began working on this post weeks ago and can’t find the original article now).

Two plotlines that keep popping up nowadays are centered on two specific themes: “Watch out for the Jews!” and “Everybody’s a Nazi but my guy.”

For the former, the Democratic Party had a near-total monopoly of the Hamas-loving, Jew-hating antisemites. Not every Democrat was an antisemite, but if you were marching against Israel, cosplaying in a keffiyeh, and harassing Jewish students, I’ll bet your bottom shekel that you didn’t vote Republican in the last election.

Until Oct. 7, 2023, hating Israel and linking “those Jews” to kooky conspiracies was strictly a leftwing phenomenon. Conservatives didn’t traffic in that trope.

Not so anymore.

And I’m not just talking about fringe voices — like Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. I’m talking about one of the biggest, most influential, most widely-followed conservatives in the country: Tucker Carlson.

He’s done more to mainstream antisemitism in the Republican Party than anyone alive.

Carlson operates under the façade of “just asking questions,” which sounds innocuous enough: How could you possibly fault a guy for being so gosh-darn intellectually curious, hmm? Unless… (gasp) you’re HIDING something dastardly!

But it’s NOT intellectual curiosity. He’s NOT an investigative reporter, doggedly following the facts wherever they lead him, damning the consequences along the way.

He’s a professional propagandist who profits from peddling lies, conspiracies, and bigotry. He’s not “just asking questions” because he’s curious; he’s doing it because it’s profitable.

This is how he makes money.

I also don’t think it’s coincidental that Carlson’s antisemitic, anti-Israel “political conversion” came at the same time Qatar and Saudi Arabia launched a multibillion-dollar PR campaign to influence American opinion. Seems a bit too on-the-nose for that.

Don’t know if I can honestly say I’m with our boy Scott one hundred percent on this one. Specifically, I cant imagine that Tucker started spewing this bilious twaddle exclusively, nor even mainly, for the money. I very much doubt that; even with Qatar, the UAE, and the House of Saud kicking in, I simply do not believe that there’s very much money in hawking up Crackpot Right calumnies against the Tribe© and all its nefarious machinations.

——–

The above is the first part of a MUCH longer post I’ve had sitting in the “Local Drafts” hopper waiting for me to find a place for it out front here…which I just did, on account of another solid “Whither Tucker?” piece over at PJM, this one exploring the similarities and (especially) the glaring differences between Tucker and Mark Levin. To wit:

For years, Mark Levin and Tucker Carlson have been two of the most prominent conservative voices in the public arena. Currently, they are in a feud with each other. Levin has accused Carlson of being an antisemite and “fake Maga,” and Carlson has called Levin “evil.” Both men have been trusted for so many years, and it is important for the conservative movement in America that we take an honest look at each man, their feud, and the truth.

The styles of these two men are diametrically opposed, and this undoubtedly affects the feelings of people towards each man. Mark Levin is passionate and blunt; like a targeted bunker-busting bomb, he honestly and clearly makes his points and arguments. Carlson, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. More like a stealth fighter, Tucker Carlson is smooth and polished, saying more through implications and inferences than actually making clear statements. He often phrases his opinions as “Why can’t we just ask…,” as opposed to Levin, who clearly and cogently expresses his opinions not as questions but as facts.

The men are very different both as human beings and as commentators. Levin was heavily involved in actual politics prior to becoming a commentator, having worked in President Ronald Reagan’s administration as well as serving as chief of staff for Attorney General Edwin Meese. He is the former president of the Landmark Legal Foundation, an author of seven bestselling books, and, since 2015, editor-in-chief of the Conservative Review. From the time that Donald Trump got the presidential nomination in 2016, Levin has been an ardent and consistent Trump supporter. In April 2025, President Trump appointed Levin to become a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council. Throughout his career, his opinions have been consistent. He’s condemned “Republicans in Name Only,” supported Israel as the first line of defense in the Islamic war against Western Civilization, and exposed the deep state coalition between Democrats and the media.

Tucker Carlson is almost the exact opposite type of human being in every way, having spent his entire career in media, first as a writer before moving into other media. His shows on X and the Tucker Carlson Network have made him one of the largest media personalities in the world, with almost four times as many followers on X as Levin. He has changed his public opinions on many issues multiple times. Formerly an economic libertarian, he now supports protectionism. Although originally supportive of the Iraq war, in 2004 he renounced his initial support for the war and now opposes U.S. foreign interventions. From 2000-2005 he was the “conservative” voice on CNN, NPR, and MSNBC. He was on Fox New until he was fired in 2023; he then started his own media company. Whereas Levin has always been a Republican since his graduation from college at the age of 19, Carlson was registered as a Democrat from 2006 to 2020, and even claimed to have voted for Kanye West over Trump in the 2020 election. Tucker was a supporter of John McCain; claims to be against abortion (more on that in a moment); and, at different times, has supported authoritarian regimes like Putin in Russia and Assad in Syria. Carlson has waffled over the years between supporting Trump and castigating him (in a 2023 court filing, Carlson’s text messages were exposed, in which he wrote that he hated Trump “passionately”); and most recently has come into conflict with the president regarding Israel, foreign policy, and a number of other issues.

Worth reading in full, I’d say, unless you care even less about Tucker Carlson’s bizarre collapse into the Jew-fetishism of the Crackpot Right than I do, which quite frankly would be very hard to do without spraining something. That said, i somehow managed to read the whole thing nevertheless and enjoyed it, so perhaps you might also.

The winner for GOAT politician

Could only be the Right Honorable Sen John N Kennedy, R-La.

John Kennedy Just Ended Kamala’s 2028 Dreams in One Sentence
As we previously reported, Kamala Harris recently gave an interview where she hinted more strongly than before that she might run for president again in the future. During the interview, a BBC reporter humorously mentioned Kamala’s long-shot betting odds, underscoring that few take her prospects seriously. Kamala also previously claimed that people had told her she was “the most qualified candidate ever to run for president,” adding, “I’m just speaking fact.”

I don’t have to tell you that nobody—and I mean nobody—has ever thought that, much less said it out loud where anyone might overhear it.

Naturally, when comedian Adam Carolla had Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) on his podcast, they had to talk about Kamala’s delusions of grandeur.

Carolla played the clip of Kamala making her claim, and then turned to Kennedy for his reaction. “Well, I know the vice president,” Kennedy began. “We served in the United States Senate together. We were on the Judiciary Committee together.”

Kennedy didn’t hold back his assessment. “She was very scripted. I think she’s a lovely person, and she’s entitled to her opinion,” he said. “But I have seen the polling before she got in the race, and the polls showed that most Americans looked at the vice president and thought to themselves, ‘When her IQ gets to 75, she oughta sell.’ Now, that’s what the polling showed.”

He noted that the media attacked him for making that observation in the past. “I pointed that out at the time, and the legacy media beat up on me like I stole Christmas, but that’s what the polling showed,” Kennedy said.

As for why Kamala ended up in the 2024 race, Kennedy argued it wasn’t part of the original plan. “I don’t think she expected to be running for president,” he said, “but I also don’t think they expected President Biden to have a major league goat rodeo meltdown in front of the American people in his first and only debate. And so it was thrust upon her.”

As opposed to into her, as was the case when Kumala used notorious California grifter Willie Brown to suck-start her less-than-whelming political “career.” Quite a contrast with Sen Kennedy, who when it comes to politicians is rather the exception that proves the rule.

Carolla agreed that Kamala’s résumé doesn’t exactly scream “most qualified.” “Being DA of San Francisco or holding some position where you’re in the pockets of donors and contributors—I don’t know if I like those kind of qualifications,” he said. “I would take a guy who was a farmer, a veteran, a Navy SEAL, or who ran his own business. In my world, a welder who ran his own welding business—I like those qualifications better than

Kennedy closed with a broader reflection on leadership. “To be a successful political leader, you do have to be smart, but it’s more than that,” he said. “You have to be mature. You have to be governed by morality, not appetite and ambition. You’ve got to exercise power intelligently and know which bridge to burn and which bridge to cross. And you can serve in public life all you want, but if you don’t have those skills, then you’re not going to be a good president.”

He then contrasted Trump’s clarity with Harris’s incoherence. “Vice President Harris could never… she just couldn’t communicate,” he said. “It was like she was speaking in Sanskrit. Nobody knew what she was talking about. Trump, on the other hand—you may like him, you may dislike him, but you know exactly where he’s coming from. Most people, whether they like him or not, respect the transparency. And he’s pretty much done what he said he would do.”

Smart fella, that Kennedy is. Straight up, no chaser, no mucking about, never a pulled punch, the plain and simple truth delivered with an ‘aw, shucks”  grin and a hearty chuckle—why, it’s almost as if the man doesn’t even know what “dissembling” means, nor much cares to. All of which is a BIG part of what makes him so exceptional, see.

Over the target

Bombs away!

Generals Are Whining That Hegseth Has ‘Lost’ Them, but the Facts Say They’ve Lost the Plot
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is the subject of another scurrilous article claiming, without proof or evidence, that he has lost the trust and confidence of the flag and general officer corps. A story in the Washington Times uses mostly anonymous sources to make the claim that Hegseth, “has lost the trust and respect of some top military commanders, with his public “grandstanding” widely seen as unprofessional and the personnel moves made by the former cable TV host leading to an unprecedented and dangerous exodus of talent from the Pentagon, said current senior military officers and current and former Defense Department officials.” The whole article tells a different story.

The core of the critique seems to be that Hegseth is incapable of thinking above the level of an infantry major, and that keeps him from focusing on real stuff like, well, we don’t know.

Follows, one long, loud, whine from these precious Deep State poseurs. To be perfectly honest, there might possibly be something in this world I give less of a shit about than what the Perfumed Princes of the Puzzle Palace think about anything at all, but if there is I’m sure I don’t know what it might be. Streiff has a little something he’d like to say as regards Mordor On The Potomac’s fearsome Chairborne (Rump) Rangers senior leadership caste, every word of which cuts like a Sykes-Fairbairn fighting knife.

The criticism boils down to basically a lot of people don’t like Hegseth’s style. The only damage they can come up with is an exodus of other FOGOs and senior civilians who have been told to leave. In their mind, this defenestration of deadwood and resistance is a loss of talent. It isn’t because those slots will be filled by people who want to do the job right. I thought the resistance to the concept of a “color- and gender-blind meritocracy” was particularly instructive and shows just how deep Marxist rot has invaded the military.

I’d also offer that the criticisms of his focus on appearance and fitness belie the fact that far too many of our senior officers don’t really care about discipline, esprit, or technical competence. If the standard for lacing boots is left-over-right, I can walk into any unit and tell immediately how well the chain of command works. If standards for height, weight, and physical fitness and beards are not enforced, you can bet your bottom dollar that maintenance, logistics, personnel, and a whole bunch of other systems are broken. You can also bet that a military without attention to detail will not focus on winning wars, but on getting the most medals. In the words of a man who knew about war, General George S. Patton, Jr.: “There is only one sort of discipline—perfect discipline. Men cannot have good battle discipline and poor administrative discipline.” He also said, “You cannot be disciplined in great things and undisciplined in small things.”

So self-evidently correct you can’t help but be embarrassed on behalf of GEN Curtis J Rumpswab, BRIG GEN Jennifer D Rottencrotch, and MAJ GEN Kwan’zaalishious’ “Lightnin” McCorkle VII for needing to have it read back to them one more time.

Let the Pentagon’s flabby, overpromoted, medal-chasing flag officer corps get back to us when they’ve actually won something more impressive than a free medium coffee from Dunkin Donuts in recognition of their many years of customer loyalty. As far as these abject failures feeling all butthurt over Sec Hegseth serving notice that their only easy day was yesterday, hopefully their “personal honor” has been traduced badly enough to leave them no choice but to resign their commissions and vacate their positions. Without these jackasses, who knows, we might actually be able to win a war for a change.

You don’t mess with JD, nor his ol’ lady neither

Not if you know what’s good for you, you don’t.

In case you missed it, Joe Biden’s former White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, made some vile comments about Vance’s marriage earlier this week, implying that JD is “scary” and Usha is being held hostage somehow.

I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance, wants to be president more than anything else. I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife. Like, are you okay? Blink four times. Come over here. We’ll save you. He’s willing to do anything to get there… he’s scarier in certain ways.

I’ve debated writing about this since it happened, but it’s so irritating that I couldn’t bring myself to give it the time of day. First of all, Psaki spent 16 months telling us that Biden was a good president, so why would anyone take anything she says seriously? Second, I’ve learned a lot about the second lady since her husband took office, and she is an incredible woman — a wonderful role model for young women and girls. By all accounts, she adores her husband, and it’s evident in every appearance they make or interview she gives. But even so, she’s an independent woman who has her own interests, thoughts, goals, and affairs. And to hear him tell it, she’s called a lot of the shots in JD’s career.

Anyway, a reporter asked the vice president, who is in Israel today, about Psaki’s statement. Vance couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all, but he also reiterated how lucky he is to have her by his side and let the world know that she can speak for herself on the matter if she wants.

I think it’s disgraceful, but, of course, the second lady can speak for herself. I’m very luck to have a wonderful wife. I know, at least I hope, that my wife feels the same about me, but we’re very lucky to have this journey. Or I should say, I’m very lucky to go on this journey with a very loving wife. We’re going to keep on serving the country together, and I’m honored to have Usha by my side…

I have little else to say about this. Vance’s laugh says it all. It’s ridiculous, and I suspect these attacks will ramp up as Democrats realize they don’t have an obvious 2028 candidate, while we have at least two, with Vance as the obvious frontrunner. Expect this kind of talk to ramp up: Vance is weird, he’s mean, he’s whatever… the reality is he’s a patriotic American, a man who’s serviced his country in the military and in public office, a husband, a father, a Godly man, a masculine man who protects his family but doesn’t overstep his role, and someone with one heck of a sense of humor. He’s overcome so many odds to get here, too. Liberal harpies are no match for the VP.

Of COURSE they’ll “ramp up” the noxious, repulsive bullshit. What else CAN they do? D卐M☭CRAT scumbuckets realize they simply can’t lay a glove on Vance no matter what or how hard they try; the guy just doesn’t rattle, he doesn’t scare, and he never, ever runs away from a fight.

One other thing The Best Darn Veep America Ever Had has got going for him: it’s entertaining as all git-out to watch him work. He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee in dealing with the Leftard baglappers, and no mistake. JD doesn’t care what they think any more than the rest of us do, and it couldn’t be more obvious…or more terrific, if you ask me.

Broken windows national defense?

And you thought Broken Windows Theory was only applicable to urban crime.

Broken Windows at the Pentagon
On September 10, 2001, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld delivered a speech identifying the department’s bureaucracy as the nation’s most pressing adversary and asserting his determination to liberate the Department of Defense. Twenty-four years later, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivered a comparable speech outlining revisions to military fitness standards and training requirements and declaring his intention to “liberate America’s warriors.”

Rumsfeld grandly characterized his reforms as transformation; Hegseth humbly characterized his changes as common sense.

Notably, Hegseth directly invoked a forty-year-old truism known as the Broken Windows Theory.

Introduced in 1982 by James Q. Wilson and George L. Kelling, an authority on public administration and a criminologist, respectively, the thesis argued that if a broken window is left unrepaired, then all the rest of the windows will soon be broken and the sequence from antisocial to criminal behavior will commence.

In particular, Hegseth elaborated on his two criteria for reinstituting past standards — the E-6 and 1990 tests.

Under the former, if a proposed change enables E-6s (or O-3s) “to get back to basics”, then the change is justified.

Under the latter, if a standard was in existence in 1990 and was modified for reasons other than changes to the battlefield, then the original is reinstated.

Curiously, Hegseth acknowledged he had no specific rationale for picking 1990 – “seems to be as good a place to start as any.”

Broken Windows Theory provides a clue.

I gotta admit, it does at that.

Y’all know already how much I like Hegseth; this article does nothing to alter that view one whit. Read the rest to find out why. I say again: SecWar Pete Hegseth is the right man in the right job at the right moment, no two ways about it.

Mega-dittos!

Eeyore makes essentially the same point I tried to get across last night…except he makes a better, more concise, and far more cohesive job of it than I did, or frankly could.

A quick note about Pete Hegseth’s speech to the US military brass the other day.

It’s a sad and terrible sign that it takes 45 minutes to explain what is obviously true, and has been true for all of human history and across all cultures. The merit principle always leads to victory and best results. Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth had to reiterate that basic idea multiple times over 45 minutes. Not because he is inarticulate, but because the US, thanks to communist subversion for close to a hundred years, has inculcated the military and all US and Western institutions with the most failure prone ideas in order to create failure. It has gone so far, that men who simply say they are women can compete against women in sports and use that claim to indulge in sexual fantasies at the expense of unwilling women in bathrooms and changing rooms. Standards have been lowered, which was the real point of DEI, such that any meaningful effort to solve a problem would be increasingly difficult, and should a Western effort come up against a foreign one such as Russia or China where the most obvious truths are still in effect, the Western effort would lose. That is of course, unless Russia and China would allow our Beta males to compete with their women in physical competition. Then we would win. But somehow I can’t…

Preach it, brother, preach it.

Might it come to pass that, years from now, the historic Hegseth Address will be regarded by everyone possessed of a thimbleful of becoming humility, honorable intentions, and a kindly nature as a real turning point in an emergent American Renaissance? To rejigger a phrase originally coined by a certain extravagantly braggadocious and baselessly conceited ex-POTUS of indeterminate sexuality: is this the moment when the Red tide began to ebb, dangerously overheated Leftist tempers began to cool, and the bloody,  battered, and bruised American soul began to heal?

SO. To continue in like vein, then: could this be the moment when the Goosesteppin’ Left began to see, understand, and accept that Real Americans will never A) yield to despair; B) take counsel of their fears and declare themselves well and truly beaten; C) stack arms; and D) formally and fully concede defeat in the long war against neverendimg Progressivist predation, half-clever, poorly thought out, and blatantly hostile Leftiard skullduggery, and the ever-escalating demands spritzed wildly in all directions from the foam-flecked maws of insatiably greedy Lefty loons?

Does our rough-hewn, distinctly American resolve that yes, we will see it through to the very end, even if said end might well be a bitter one; a steely determination which so inspires and enheartens us that we can rise to any challenge, go through, over, or around any obstacle, face down any foe—all these excellent things, in concert with a Brobdingnagian strength of character, body, spirit, and will—does this impressive array of powerful weaponry both conceptual and physical of necessity mean that Leftists must now come up with brand-new strategies, tralblazing tactics, loftier ambitions, and fresh, innovative modes of thought if they seriously hope to retain even a smidge of real influence in American politics, a choice as to how, where, and with whom they shail live, and/or a consequential say in how this nation is to be governed?

i dont know how optimistic I’m prepared to be about the possibility of bringing about real, lasting, and positive change through the political/legislative/judicial/electoral process. But I do know this: I support Pete Hegseth a thousand and two percent. He’s The Man, far as I’m concerned, and whether or not TPTB will allow him to get much of anything done in the relatively short time he has to do it, not to mention the emeti0c cacophonyl of hard-core objection, opposition, and knee-jerk rejection to/of MAJ Hegseth’s words, ideas, goals, plans, even himself personally blariingnonstop from Mordor On The Potomac. Don’t care; let the Dark Lord bring on his mighty legions of trolls, winged Nazgul, and Orcs most foul. STILL don’t care, not the leastt little bit I don’t. Me, I’m behind SecWar Hegseth all the way, no matter what.

DON’T DARE TOUCH THAT DIAL! Stay tuned to this channel for the thrilling conclusion of tonight’s amazing tale of adventure, heroism, courage, and forbidden romance!

Certain varieties of “peace” OUGHT to be disturbed

Jacked intact and as is from CederQ.

A mother in California decided that, after months of speaking to her local school board about allowing boys into girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms (and getting nowhere), that she was show them.

So she started to strip at the podium (she was wearing a bathing suit).

‘I wanted to give them more of a visual, what does it really look like changing and what would it feel like [to have] somebody of the opposite sex watching you change.’

Bourne said she now feels she got her point across.

‘If the adults don’t feel comfortable watching someone – and I’m a 50-year-old woman – how can they expect girls to feel comfortable doing that in the locker room?’ she asked, rhetorically.

‘The more open dialogue, open debate we can have on topics that are controversial, I think, we are going to end up having a safer society,’ she added.

Of course the school board had her hauled out and charged with disturbing the peace.

Of COURSE they did. That’s okay Maw, you sock it to ’em anyway. Pics at the Daily Mail link I didn’t transcribe because reasons; the feisty 50 year oldster looks like the North end of a South-bound mule, but that’s okay too. In fact, it’s probably better that way; a fugly old broad stripping off at the school board meeting drives the central point home harder, faster, and deeper than if it’d been a smoking hot li’l number getting all nekkid, seems to me.

FINALLY redux

Apropos of tonight’s Eyrie thang, Steyn piles on by way of the recent Milan riots.

What were they rioting over? Well, I saw one report describing it as an ad hoc alliance of pro-Palestinians, leftist unions objecting to Meloni, and assorted neighbourhood “migrants”.

Whatever. It doesn’t really matter, does it? I mean, it’s not like twenty-five arrests at a Tommy Robinson rally, two-thirds of whom turn out to be anti-Tommy counter-protesters. All that can be said for certain is that, if you live almost anywhere in the western world, violence is in your future. For the moment, it comes overwhelmingly from the political left and their various shock-troops, whether Antifa or your local migrant sex-fiends. Because the left are the most turned on by it. Even the comparatively peaceful ones can’t stop salivating over the thought of killing you. Here, for example, a perfectly nice respectable American lady – probably listens to NPR – has a grand old time beheading an effigy of Trump:

Do stay tuned for the punchline. At the end she turns around and has what we used to call the golden rule emblazoned all over her T-shirt:

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

So does that mean Trump supporters can decapitate, say, Kamala Harris?

Well, no, because, if you lopped off Kamala’s head, it wouldn’t make any difference. The most stupid and incompetent major-party candidate of the modern era has just “written” a book seeking to explain how everyone’s favourite glass-ceiling-shattering Montreal schoolgirl somehow failed to beat a “convicted felon” who spent most of campaign season in court. So, to pitch her book to fellow wine-moms like the decapitator above, Kamala has been out on the plug circuit. Shooting the breeze with leftie superstar Rachel Maddow, the former vice president calls the current president a “tyrant” and a “dictator”…

For any aspiring tyrants out there, if you’re wondering how to become one yourself, all you have to do is win Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania in the Electoral College. That’s how all the tyrants and dictators do it.

Is Ms Harris not worried that, by de-legitimising her opponent’s lawful, peaceful and democratic victory over her good self, some excitable types might try to, say, shoot his head off?

Oh naw naw naw NAW, that would never, EVER happen! Right? RIGHT?

RIIIIGHT?!?

Of course not, you big silly. I simply have to include this next bit because of the gleeful way it rips renowned baglapper and/or Lefty rumpswab Keith “Upper-lip-sweat” Olbermann all to bloody gobbets and then scatters the pieces all over the lot.

I briefly caught Mr Olbermann’s attention a decade or three back, and, from what I can recall of it, he struck me as a big pansy fagulous trannifilarious nancy poufter mincing dweeb of a homicidal maniac but who likes sounding butch by saying “motherfucker” a lot. Yet, in a functioning society, it should not be incumbent upon Scott Jennings to judge whether the guy specifically menacing him actually means it or is just an insecure over-compensating loser. As noted here an hour or so after Charlie Kirk’s death, at least seven Internet posts appeared to have foreknowledge of what had yet to happen.

I have joked for years about jihadist nutters being fully paid-up members of Local 473 of the Amalgamated Union of Lone Wolves. But the leftie nutters are beginning to feel like that, too. One half of the political spectrum is so drunk on its bloodlust they don’t even notice it. “Denver’s oldest gay bar”, for example, took the trouble to create a new cocktail and make a sign for it…

The old definition of a gay bar was: one hundred bottoms looking for a top. It requires a perverse genius to re-imagine it as one hundred bottoms looking, in the Britannic sense, to top someone.

YEEOWTCH, that made my butt hurt! Now brace yourselves for the heady, thrilling denouement.

Over two decades, I have occasionally quoted the words of the French philosopher Alain Finkielkraut: “The lofty idea of ‘the war on racism’ is gradually turning into a hideously false ideology,” he said in 2005. “And this anti-racism will be for the twenty-first century what Communism was for the twentieth century: a source of violence.”

Bloodlust mixed with moral preening is a uniquely toxic cocktail and, unlike those available at the R&R bar in Denver, it will not be content with merely a single shot.

DAMNED good squishy there, Mark. Yet again, I must remind y’al of the one, the only rule that matters: THEY SHOOT. WE DIE. Unless and until that changes, we’re all just whistling Dixie here, I’m afraid.

Update! A timely and very much related reminder from the esteemed Eric Raymond.

In one of my previous analysis postings, I outlined three possible scenarios for the future after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

This corresponds to scenario 3, the one where insurrection edges into a simmering civil war a la Bosnia. I caught some flak in my replies at the time from people who thought an insurrection based in urban areas isn’t practical under modern conditions.

Antifa thinks it is. It’s what they’re planning for.

One of the things I have to remind myself of occasionally is that most people know essentially nothing about Communist theory and Communist revolutionary tactics.

Antifa is running the classic Communist playbook. Make the enemy fight you where you are strong and they are weak – where you have support among the people and (when possible) cover from sympathetic local officials.

Historically that has usually meant fighting from rural areas where the reach of the government is weak. But the Russian Revolution was an exception, and the revolution Antifa is trying to fight is another. Their natural home ground is large coastal cities run by left-wing Democrats.

ESR also provides ironclad evidence to support his contention in the above-quoted Tweet/X/Whatever.

Man, I really gotta come up with some kind of nomenclature to refer to those blasted things.

Sleeping through it update! Another ringing endorsement of refusing to go on playing the Left’s game by the One Rule mentioned above.

Somehow it is inconceivable to anyone on the political right that anyone might actually mean what they say about politics and actually be willing to fight for any of the things they claim to be willing to fight for.

Maybe Right Wingers could just look at the people saying “We hate you, we want you dead, and we are committing violence against you” and right wingers could think that they’re committing violence against you, and maybe they hate you, and they want you dead… and maybe you should hate them back?

What did you think “Civil War” meant? Vibes? Essays?

If the state’s monopoly on violence is corrupted to serve evil… would it not be time to break that monopoly? To enter that monopolized market with a new disruptive innovations, so to speak.

If the government is a usurper regime that doesn’t represent you, and is dressing up tyranny under cover of a barely feigned playact of legitimacy… Well you’re American, what did your founders do in such a situation?

Yet Even as millions of leftists openly celebrate this shooting and wish for more of them to happen, and openly state that they’ll see any who commit said shootings as heroes worth celebrating….

It is inconceivable to the Right Winger that immortal fame, their own sincerest convictions, true hatred, the judging eyes of their political forefathers, and the celebration of MILLIONS might actually be worth doing or risking something over.

Just sit back and pay taxes and keep his head down whilst serving the enemies who hate him and paying for their six figure salaries in government employment whilst waiting for more people to “wake up”… Even as they brainwash his kids to hate him, and “cut ties”, and cut their genitals off.

Just wait bro, more people need to wake up!

Kennedy was shot 60 year ago. The first people to “wake up” are in nursing homes.

You’ve waited so long for people to “wake up” that the majority have fallen back asleep and died of old age.

Yeppers, so it would seem.

Whataboutist update! Margolis handily dispenses with the noxious “Both sides” canard.

To maintain their crumbling narrative, the left weaponized a deeply flawed study from the CATO Institute’s Alex Nowrasteh, which purports to show that right-wing extremists commit the majority of politically motivated killings in America. This convenient talking point has been parroted everywhere to deflect from the fact that their side just murdered one of conservatism’s most prominent young voices.

But when you actually examine Nowrasteh’s methodology—which I have—the whole thing falls apart faster than a House Democrat’s promise to secure the border.

Take Timothy McVeigh, labeled “right-wing” despite his ideology having nothing to do with traditional conservatism. McVeigh was an anti-government extremist whose rage stemmed from Waco and Ruby Ridge, not conservative principles. The man rejected both political parties, described himself as agnostic, and supported abortion rights.

Then there’s Anderson Lee Aldrich, the Club Q shooter, branded “right-wing” despite identifying as non-binary and suffering from documented mental illness. Peyton Gendron, the Buffalo supermarket shooter, gets the same “right-wing” label even though his own manifesto explicitly identified him as an “eco-fascist national socialist”—hardly traditional conservative ideology. The study also classified a couple who killed a sex offender as perpetrators of “right-wing” violence despite the fact it was a personal vendetta with no apparent political motivation whatsoever.

Even more telling is what Nowrasteh’s study leaves out entirely. Notice how the data shows a convenient dip in 2020—the same year America witnessed the most destructive riots in its history. The George Floyd riots caused billions in property damage and at least nineteen deaths, yet somehow none of these deaths made it into his tally of political violence.

The Waukesha Christmas parade attacker, who drove his truck through a crowd in 2021 killing six people, also got left out. When you correct for these glaring omissions and misclassifications, the numbers between left-wing and right-wing violence become roughly equal—and that’s just examining the past decade.

But, the narrative that political violence is a right-wing problem took another hit this past week, when, Anibal Hernandez-Santana, a 64-year-old former legislative director for the California Federation of Teachers, decided to turn his politics into bullets with a drive-by shooting at the local ABC station. This wasn’t some random act—it happened just one day after protesters gathered there with their usual signs calling Trump “Hitler” and his supporters “fascist enablers.” Hernandez-Santana absorbed that mood of righteous fury, posted calls for Trump’s demise on social media, and then carried his left-wing politics into the realm of violence.

And that wasn’t all. Saturday night in Nashua, New Hampshire, 23-year-old Hunter Nadeau opened fire at the Sky Meadow Country Club, killing one and injuring at least two others while shouting “Free Palestine!”

The truth is unavoidable: the left doesn’t just tolerate political violence, it cultivates it. They spent the summer of 2020 making excuses for rioters while their media allies described burning buildings as “mostly peaceful protests.” They’ve created an atmosphere where their followers believe they have a moral obligation to commit violence against their political opponents.

We keep hearing lectures about “rising extremism on the right,” but the evidence keeps piling up showing exactly where the real threat is coming from. A popular conservative leader gets assassinated. A leftist union operative shoots up a television station. An anti-Israel radical sprays gunfire into a country club. And somehow the left still thinks it can wag its finger at conservatives?

Well, naturally. When you’re not merely comfortable with spewing brazen lies in the face of obvious truth but have actually come to prefer it that way, wagging a finger self-righteously at your hated enemies begins to look like pretty small beer.

Slow your roll, cool your jets, take a long, deep breath

And hold for a slow, steady ten-count. Repeat as needed.

A psychopath with inferior weaponry is, far more often than not, a safer bet in a fight than a sane man with an arsenal.

War is not won by firepower alone.

It is shaped by willingness — by who is prepared to cross which lines. And anyone who has watched leftist mobs in action knows they cross all decent lines with glee.

This is where anger clouds the thinking.

I)f you’re thinking about the cultural moment in terms of war and you’re not actively, consciously, deliberately, and soberly factoring in the fact that it is a mob of actual psychopaths against normal people, then you are being stupidly naive, and you need to grow the fuck up before you say another word.

And certainly before you do a goddamn thing.

The second point I want to make is an answer to the question: why does this feel so different?

Trump Derangement Syndrome, as I wrote in Gain-of-Function TDS, was always ridiculous. Easy to mock. Easy to box off as just another form of political hysteria. People have always hated politicians, often irrationally. Turning Trump into the Bad Orange Man — a cartoon villain — was stupid and childish, but it had precedent. It fit into an existing cultural script.

The hate itself was the point, a bonding ritual, a way to signal in-group loyalty. That’s why, even when it metastasized into assassination attempts, it was still possible to shrug and think: presidents get shot at sometimes. It fit a paradigm.

But this? This was different. This was the moment when the mask slipped. The left showed that they’re well past virtue signaling. They actually believe the slogans.

They actually believe that disagreeing with their gender dogma — refusing to affirm that “transwomen are women” — constitutes literal violence, and that striking back with real violence is self-defense.

If they meant it — and they did — then anyone eager to pivot into “war mode” had better be brutally realistic about what that means.

To win, you don’t just need weapons. You need the willingness to out-evil a brigade of full-on Cluster B actual, literal psychopaths.

And most people on the right — thank God — are fundamentally decent. They want to defend their families, not revel in cruelty.

That’s their strength as human beings, but it’s also a massive strategic weakness if this ever does tip into real war.

I’m not saying the war-cries are wrong. I’m saying they’re reckless AF unless they’re paired with brutal, realistic honesty about the terrain. Emotion is driving this far more than reason. And in any conflict where the left’s defining edge is a higher concentration of people who enjoy inflicting suffering, the right is walking in at a massive disadvantage.

This is dangerous ground, people.

Step lightly, or don’t step at all.

A well-organized, beautifully composed piece of seriously badass writing. A hearty “well done” and a humble doff of the CF Chapeau to Ms Holly Mathnerd for her brilliant, perfectly crafted work here. And bang, zoom! Into Ye Aulde Blogrolle with ye, lass.

Blowing the fuck UP

Kind of a hassle, embedding all these things is, but it simply MUST be done, it ain’t no way no how optional.

Last but definitely not least, we have this moving, beautiful remembrance.

Powerful is indeed the word. There just couldn’t possibly be a more fitting celebratory tribute than the traditional Maori posture-dance, a heartfelt gesture of love and respect offered by a clan of righteous warriors to honor their fallen brother.

MAN ALIVE! Anybody else think it got pretty dusty in here all of a sudden? *SNIFF*
