Tally me banana (republics)

Not here? Not anymore.

The irony of an oligarchy consisting of some of the most powerful men and women in the country, and their corporations and government institutions consolidating power under the guise of fighting for the oppressed has plenty of historical precedents. All of these precedents are bad.

The oligarchy claims that contrary views, which it labels “disinformation” pose a unique threat to “democracy”.The unique threat isn’t posed by disinformation, disagreeable speech, or lies, a concept as old as mankind, but by the usurpation of political power by an unelected oligarchy.

Between 2016 and 2020, elections have been undermined, voters have been disenfranchised, and the First Amendment has been dispensed with in response to various emergencies, from President Trump’s victory to the pandemic by the private-public alliance of the oligarchy.

Governors responded to the pandemic by usurping the power of legislatures and other elected officials, such as the secretary of state in Nevada, to unilaterally ban public gatherings, outlaw protests, enter private residences, and fundamentally change how elections are conducted.

They also worked with tech companies to suppress political protests against their activities.

Tech companies, which command the marketplace of ideas, suppressed political scandals involving Biden, and amplified scandals involving President Trump. The administrative state and elements of the judiciary worked to undermine President Trump, obstruct his policies, and block his actions on any available pretext in a political coup of unprecedented scope and scale.

And, if that weren’t enough, the violent mobs of the Black Lives Matter racist movement, backed by corporate money and massive assistance from foundations like the Ford Foundation, terrorized entire cities and suburbs while mobilizing support for Democrats and their agenda.

The 2020 election occurred under this state of emergency, imposed not by President Trump, but by a coalition of Democrat officials, media propagandists, and tech companies with ugly results.

Even beyond the outrageous voter fraud that marked this election, there could be no better way to delegitimize a presidential election than through the combination of Democrat abuses of power, violations of civil rights, mass propaganda and censorship, and mob violence.

This is how elections are conducted in Third World countries and now in America.

We have come a long way in twenty years since Bush v. Gore. And now it’s not about hanging chads or the details of the disputed elements. It’s that no one trusts elections anymore.

Despite the outraged disdain with which the media met Republican challenges to the election, there is nothing that Republicans have alleged about the election that Democrats did not allege about the previous elections that they lost. The same narratives about voting machine hacking, illegitimately counted, marked, and destroyed ballots, and even calls for electors to reject state results were there and will be there again. But only Democrats are allowed to make them.

Because only Democrats are allowed to wield power. And since only Democrats are allowed to wield power, any election they win is legitimate and any election that they lose is illegitimate.

But the problem with breaking the system to gain power is that the system stays broken.

Oh, I don’t believe the system is broken, necessarily. Looks more to me like it’s working exactly as they intended it to.

I’d love to see Trump start up a second party. The one-party system we have now just ain’t cutting it.

Call to arms update! TL on The Eighty Million. Has a right nice ring to it, wouldn’t you say?

This is a choice we make as individuals and groups. I believe upwards of 80 million people voted for Donald Trump and that only through nefarious means has this truth been denied and obfuscated in the media. If the purpose were to discover the truth many more media outlets would be curious as to the fraud that has taken place, but they are not. So, they are part of the coup. This should not be hard to understand since they were part of the first coup against America, because it is not Donald Trump that has been cheated, it is the 80 million who voted for him who have been cheated, in 2016 and throughout his first term culminating in 2020.

As Donald Trump so famously understood, the forces of communism aren’t after him, they are after the US and he stands in the way. But now it is time for the 80 million to stand as one and deny the coup. It is within our power to take back what was first stolen in 2016, when the coup first began. None of the conspirators have faced sanction, none have gone to jail, or faced prosecution. Justice delayed is justice denied. But, it is within our power to refuse to accept the coup and bring those guilty of conspiracy against the United States and the republic both through the initial attempt in 2016 and those who have perpetrated the vote fraud of 2020.

What should be apparent to all by now is that the corruption within the offices of governors and secretaries of state across the nation is something that must be dealt with in a complete way. They have been corrupted by power and money, their elections assured through corruption and owing not to the people, that they continually ignore and defame, but through fraud and it is this fraud and its engineers that have secured their loyalty. The pandemic might be the excuse, but their actions have revealed the contempt they have for their constituents and citizens, reducing them to poverty and degradation at the whim of foreign actors and internal traitors.

The pandemic has given us a look at their blackened souls that thirst for power and power alone. We need to take them at their professions of unlimited power and revoke it. This will not be done through elections. That is something only possible where honor and a belief in the sanctity of the republic is present. They no longer believe in it. They are enemies of the republic, for they have contempt for the people and of the vote.

So here we are, the 80 million who have been conned, beaten and subjected to irrational rules and when criminality has been exposed by us, it has been ignored and we have been told to stand down, to behave, to accept communism for all of the many fruits it offers; though history tells a much different tale. We know better. We are not fools. We have tried to play by the rules and have had the rules turned against our peaceful natures. The police, who have been wholly supported by those who believe in the republic have largely turned against us. While they protect Antifa and BLM, they turn on us. I ask them, with whom do you stand? Us or them?

These are the days when all voices will be heard and loyalties tried. This is no time to offer allegiance to your enemies and hope your allies will understand. One either believes in freedom enough to risk death, or pension, or accept the fate of those who would destroy it. The 80 million know they are the last vestiges of freedom on earth. They are being asked to accept a fraud, to acquiesce to communism, but they cannot. No matter what the flawed election returns, it cannot be allowed to stand. We know the outcome already and anything less is unacceptable.

Freedom across the globe is being threatened. In Denmark, they have fought back, in Germany they are fighting back. Only in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave have we sat silent while our nation has been stolen from beneath our feet. But, it’s not over until we breathe our last. Stand now. Get out into the streets and demand a new election, but be ready to fight when the communists refuse and try to force you to stay home and off the streets. You are 80 million strong, never will you be so united; never will the issues be so clear. Accept your role in American history and provide your children with the blessings of liberty with a remarkable stand against totalitarian rule. You can do it, you have the numbers and the strength and righteousness is on your side. You are the new political organization, The Eighty Million.

Might make a snazzy name for Trump’s new political party.

The Red Death Fizzle

Imagine my surprise.

Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same. “The reason we have a higher number of reported COVID-19 deaths among older individuals than younger individuals is simply because every day in the U.S. older individuals die in higher numbers than younger individuals,” Briand said.

Briand also noted that 50,000 to 70,000 deaths are seen both before and after COVID-19, indicating that this number of deaths was normal long before COVID-19 emerged. Therefore, according to Briand, not only has COVID-19 had no effect on the percentage of deaths of older people, but it has also not increased the total number of deaths.

These data analyses suggest that in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States.

When Briand looked at the 2020 data during that seasonal period, COVID-19-related deaths exceeded deaths from heart diseases. This was highly unusual since heart disease has always prevailed as the leading cause of deaths. However, when taking a closer look at the death numbers, she noted something strange. As Briand compared the number of deaths per cause during that period in 2020 to 2018, she noticed that instead of the expected drastic increase across all causes, there was a significant decrease in deaths due to heart disease. Even more surprising, as seen in the graph below, this sudden decline in deaths is observed for all other causes.

This trend is completely contrary to the pattern observed in all previous years. Interestingly, … the total decrease in deaths by other causes almost exactly equals the increase in deaths by COVID-19. This suggests, according to Briand, that the COVID-19 death toll is misleading. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia may instead be recategorized as being due to COVID-19.

That’s from a Johns Hopkins report, hastily removed and censored since Robert Zimmerman’s original post, to which he helpfully provides a couple of alternative links over at his joint. Zimmerman’s own wrap-up says it all:

In other words, COVID-19 is just another type of flu-like respiratory disease, that is only appearing terrible because doctors and hospitals are incorrectly labeling many deaths as COVID-19 when in past years they would have labeled them based on the existing chronic illnesses the patient already had.

It has all been a scam, a Chicken Little scam induced by some very evil people in government to cause fear and panic in the general population. I leave it to my readers to figure out why.

Regardless, it is time for people to come to their senses. Let the worry warts cower in mindless fear in their basements. Rip off that mask, go back to living your normal American life, free and open, pursuing your happiness.

Amen, brother; you’re preaching to the choir here. But I fear a profound effort will be required before anybody can go back to living normal American lives, assuming there’s even such a thing to be had at all after this man-caused disaster. Petty tyrants all across the nation aren’t going to just back off and relinquish the absolute power they’ve been enjoying so much for lo, these many months without a struggle, unfortunately, and no amount of hard data will persuade them otherwise.

Which, more unfortunately, is assuming that enough of us even WANT those “normal American lives” back in the first place. Maybe the most dismaying aspect of the whole Shamdemic farce was how eager all too many of us—in the grip of a panic manufactured specifically for the purpose—were to surrender their liberty and Constitutional rights to purchase a little phony security. In any event, I can’t recall a single historical instance when lost liberty was regained without a struggle.

GOPe circular firing squad gathers

Looks like some of them ARE getting right back to business as usual.

For a good long while, many Republicans believed Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham would produce a slew of indictments for the bad actors of the Russia probe. A bushel of bad news always sat just around the corner for James Comey, James Clapper, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and many others.

Judgement day, however, kept getting postponed. The trove of sealed indictments always seemed to slide just beyond arm’s reach. In the meantime, the Republican Party went P. T. Barnum on Bill Barr, fundraising on the promise of revenge against a whole host of ne’er-do-wells.

But after a year-and-a-half of imminent indictments, and a lot of fundraising, it became more than evident that the Barr-Dunham probe which provided so much chum for right-wing waters was pure grift. The “deep state” goon squad would never see the inside of a prison cell.

Not because they were exonerated, or blameless. Nor was it because a good case against them wasn’t made, or makeable. It was because the fix was in. That hardly serves as an affirmation of the integrity of the system. Quite the opposite, actually.

Then another investigation came along. One that sparked the hopes of millions of Trump supporters still reeling from an election night gone wrong, one that started off just as promising as the Barr-Durham probe.

Amid a series of irregularities and apparent voter fraud, Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor and a member of Trump’s legal team for the election, leaped onto the scene, guns blazing. Just like Barr.

Bear with me just a bit further, gang; he’s about to go way wrong, you’ll see.

The issue with Powell was never that fraud didn’t occur or that she was making it up out of whole cloth, but that her claims are so extraordinary that they would threaten to discredit the case for real fraud if they turned out to be exaggerated or in any way untrue. There are many compelling examples of irregularities involving mail-in ballots, ejected poll observers, and more that are worthy of serious investigating.

But Powell has set the bar so incredibly high above those things now. This is not to say that there is not or could not be some basic truth to some of her claims, but that it is dangerous to build the case for fraud entirely on one person’s shoulders. As a result, “belief” in Powell has become a kind of purity test for some Trump supporters, creating internecine conflicts at the drop of a hat. It’s also preventing the Trump movement from performing any kind of introspection on what might have been some of the campaign’s mistakes.

Codswallop. If fraud was committed—and it couldn’t be more apparent that it was, with an abundance of credible evidence confirming it—then “introspection” and “mistakes” aren’t relevant.

If Powell’s claims are all true, then there would be no need to consider that perhaps it was a mistake to court rather than tackle the corporate and tech forces now garroting Trump’s last-ditch efforts. If Powell is right, there is no reason to criticize the Trump campaign’s racial-spoils pandering, its failure to keep signature platform promises, or its critical personnel problems. Because the only problem will have been, according to her, that as many as 10 million fraudulent votes and up to 7 million votes were switched from Trump to Biden. The unexpected side effect of all this is an unremittingly uncritical movement that will circle the wagons to defend the most poisonous pills in the White House and viciously attack those who are otherwise allies. Powell’s moment in the limelight is reminding us of the dangers of personality cults.

“Personality cults”? Well, okay then.

Now, as the recent spate of Powell skeptics or debunkers go, the above is actually mild stuff. This guy is more even-handed and polite about it than many others have been, let’s just concede that right up front. Even so, it still gripes me, although possibly not for the reasons you might assume. Let’s start with this.

I don’t have that evidence, but the fact that Sidney Powell claims she does is enough to convince me. This is a woman who gave up years of income she could have earned in her profitable practice to write, print, and promote a book no publisher would touch. Its charges were too explosive, I imagine.

Its targets, like Andrew Weissman (the protege of FBI director Christopher Wray) wield too much power. Tellingly, none of the people Powell exposed in Licensed to Lie have dared to sue her for defamation or libel. She put herself out there as a target for such a suit by writing the book—with no publishing house’s attorneys on board to defend her. But no one did, I’m sure because her charges were absolutely truthful.

Non-partisan legal expert Jonathan Turley is one of the few reliable commentators left out there. He observed after watching the press conference that Powell and the rest of the president’s team took a similar risk today. They accused a massive corporation, Dominion, with links to friendly billionaires like Soros and many foreign governments, of felonies. Of colluding with corrupt election officials to steal the White House.

Given the death threats to election officials in Michigan, and the doxing of their children, for refusing to certify a corrupt election, I’d say Ms. Powell is risking a lot more than money.

But there Sidney stood fearlessly on television, her voice quavering a little at the enormity of the evil she has helped to uncover. Meanwhile the Vichy-conservatives over at National Review and other “squish” venues sniped at her, and at Rudolph Giuliani, who faced down the hitmen of the New York Mafia, then broke its back. One called the Trump team “unhinged,” and sniffed at its lack of “dignity.”

If you think your country’s elections are being stolen, and your main concern is for keeping your “dignity,” then I don’t want you next to me in a foxhole. You’ll switch sides if the enemy offers a chocolate bar, and a chance to save your skin.

Getting closer, but still not quite there yet. More, and closer still:

Imagine that fairly high-ranking government officials, former mayors and prosecutors, hold a press conference accusing the Joint Chiefs of Staff of planning to shoot down an American airliner. They say the plan is to blame China, Russia, or Cuba.

Immediately they are depicted as nuttier than a Christmas fruitcake. Legacy media paints them as fabulists looking for book deals. Psychologists speculate on their sanity. Social media doubles down on purges. It’s almost like there was a Zoom call to coordinate it all.

Undaunted, the self-described whistleblowers offer even bolder claims in interviews. They say the Joint Chiefs will set off bombs in Washington, D.C. and other U.S. cities. Canada and U.S. bases abroad will be attacked. It’s described as a “very well-funded” operation with CIA involvement.

There are mentions of original documents and check stubs proving payoffs. We’re told to expect more details by the end of this week.

Americans split into factions. The conspiratorial say this is only the beginning and Jeff Bezos and the Post Office and Bill Gates are in on it. MSNBC veers between ignoring the claims and screeching about Nazis. The rival political party starts muttering about criminal charges for treason. Fans of Enemy of the StateWag the Dog, or Three Days of the Condor keep an open mind. Wasn’t Burt Lancaster that Joint Chiefs guy in Seven Days in May who tried a coup?

This is a little like the situation we find ourselves in when evaluating claims of a massive operation to steal the election for Joe Biden.

If we were told that boxes of ballots for Biden were carted into Philadelphia inner-city precincts at 3 a.m., that would be easy to believe. Or if we were told that Republican observers were prevented from observing and that windows are boarded up in Detroit. We’ve seen the videos despite our increasingly irate Silicon Valley overseers threatening us with the lash.

But attorneys Sidney Powell and Lin Wood are not stopping there. They say perhaps 10 million fake votes were generated. They argue that the rot is global. In an interview two days ago, Powell said there was “foreign interference in our election” including from “China, Iran, Serbia, Lichtenstein.” Powell said “the CIA, I’m sure, has a hand in it.” She said to expect a lawsuit by the end of this week.

These allegations raise the stakes. They transform suspicions of Chicago-style fraud into an existential national crisis. If their claims about national-scale computerized fraud are true, democracy in the republic is over. The fix is in. Elections are a sham. Our ruling elite select the winner, and complainers get the camps.

Yep, almost there now. JJ brings us onto the porch and rings the bell:

If anyone doubts that there is not a Globalist plot to take America down, especially in light of what we and this President have experienced these past four to 20 years and really since the end of the Second World War, then please describe the bumps on your sigmoid as you have your head up your ass. If Sidney Powell is guilty of anything, it’s perhaps fighting the right battle but at the wrong time. That is unless she really does have the Kraken of all evidence ready to be released. I hope she does. In any case, my anger is not at her, nor at Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis or anyone else on the Trump Team. My incandescent rage that can never be slaked is at the traitors and the Enemy for snuffing out the last vestige of this republic and for those allegedly on our side who are their willing accomplices. Worst of the bunch are the state legislators and other GOP politicians in the six states that know firsthand that the Enemy stole their elections and should be convening right now to assign their electors to Trump. There is no excuse for that, threats of violence or not. This is a war now, and we are this close to an open shooting war, and considering the firebombing of several dozen cities over the past six months, arguably we’re at that stage already.

Whatever happens with Sidney Powell’s case, she is the very last person I am ever going to attack. For me, her motivations, if not perhaps (as remains to be seen) her strategy, are beyond reproach. Until you (the royal you) show me the proof – as you have demanded of her – that she is anything but a great patriot, I’m with her all the way. Because we are going to need an army of Sidney Powell’s should worse come to worse.

Dingdingdingdingding! We’re home, everybody!

See, it’s like this: I don’t give a tinker’s dam whether Powell is exaggerating, or grandstanding, or stoking her own ego, or just dead wrong. I don’t care if she’s stretching the truth a mite, if she has some of her details jumbled, or if she’s being misled in some fashion. Honestly, she could be making the whole thing up for all I give a shit. I’ll still stand shoulder to shoulder with her against our common enemy, be he a rabid Lefty loon, a Democrat-Socialist con artist, or a NeverTrumpTard Vichy Republican. I’m on her side no matter what, and Cadaver Joe Biden, Commie Kamala, and every last Enemedia propagandist can all go piss up a rope. Likewise Bill Kristol, Ewan McMuffin, David French, Mitt Romany, and the whole sorry lot of ’em.

The Enemy closes ranks when attacked, no matter what. We, on the other hand, natter and obssess over trivia, personality conflicts, and general persiflage. We bog ourselves down in niggling “debate” as if our very way of life wasn’t on the line here. We respond to direct frontal assault with over-intellectualizing and parlor pedantry. Then we kill our wounded, apologize for our beastly shortcomings, and slink off the field in ignominious retreat.

No Vichy GOPer ever yet found a hill that was worth dying on. For our side, “living to fight another day” always seems to take precedence over kicking the enemy’s ass up between his fucking shoulder blades. Because we’re “better than they are.” Because we must always “take the high road.” Because “that’s not who we are.”

The Enemy is making war. We’re making tea and crumpets. Bottom line:

What Trump, like Caesar, understands is that he can’t back down from this fight, even should he wish to. During his long campaign in Gaul, Caesar made it a point never to retreat; on one occasion when even the famed 10th Legion temporarily broke ranks during a battle, the chagrined legionaries asked their commander to decimate their ranks for cowardice. (Caesar refused.)

Trump similarly grasps that to stand down now, even in the face of overwhelming opposition—some of it coming from within his own ranks—would spell an ignominious end to his presidency and demoralize his voting legions. To leave an open question of whether our porous and multifarious systems of voting are easily manipulated and therefore untrustworthy would be to do the nation a great disservice.

As we’ve seen throughout the past four years, appeasement doesn’t work. No matter what the duly elected president of the United States did, there was no satisfying the rabid left and its media lackeys, short of Trump’s expulsion from office, however effected.

And so they mounted one of the strangest counter-campaigns in U.S. political history, rigging their nomination process to spit forth a superannuated, lifelong political hack rushing headlong into his embarrassing dotage and installing as his vice president the dangerous woman they really wanted to head their ticket, but who couldn’t garner any support during the primaries. It’s a breathtakingly cynical ploy, and a stain on American political history should it succeed.

So please, Mr. President, fight all the way to the end. Until these cases get to court—the big one, located right behind the Capitol—and your augments can be heard over the talking heads and the chattering classes, go on national television and explain to the American people what the stakes really are: not your political survival, but the survival of the Republic itself under a Constitution the left increasingly and openly despises.

Just so. Oh, and about that whackadoo conspiracy theory Normal American mentioned, wherein the JCOS plotted to down an American airliner for their own nefarious purposes? Silly stuff, I know, and it does kinda put Sydney Powell’s reckless, baseless allegations in a somewhat dimmer light. Right?

RIGHT?!?

Back to our whistleblowers’ claims of false flag attacks on an airliner and Washington, D.C. It might sound like a half-baked conspiracy theory.

But it would have been true. In 1962, the Joint Chiefs of Staff proposed shooting down an American civilian airliner, bombing D.C., and other false flag actions. It was called Operation Northwoods. President Kennedy rejected the proposal. He was assassinated the next year.

Then and now, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The kraken remains elusive.

Perhaps. But for me, proof no longer matters. I know who the enemy is; I know what he is, what he intends, how he will use the power he’s usurped. I care about one thing now, and one thing alone: annihilating him. I won’t hesitate to employ any and every weapon I can get my hands on—large or small, clean or dirty, fair or unfair, honorable or sneaky—that will help to get that job done. If Sydney Powell is such a weapon then I’m all for her, and straight to hell with all other considerations. If not, I’ll look for another.

The era of cynicism

It’s the only thing that makes sense anymore.

The Soviet Union, like all radical experiments, went through several phases in its roughly three generations of existence. The first phase, of course, was the revolution, in which the old order was toppled and a battle ensued to fill the void. This initial phase of revolution is always the one that attracts the most attention. This is when the great heroes of the revolution and the great villains of it are made. It is in this phase we get both Lenin and Stalin, hero and villain.

There is a phase that gets little attention and that is when the people come to terms with the irrationality of the world that has been created for them. One reason Stalin was able to send so many to their deaths or to labor camps is so many people kept thinking there was some rationality to the world being created. Some remained idealistic believers in the cause, while others became critics of the cause. They assumed the revolution would bring clarity and rationality when it brought only the opposite.

In time, the people came to terms with this. The humor of the Soviet Union reflected the fact that one got along by accepting the irrational in the same way you accept that the grass is green or the sky is blue. You don’t think about it. The jokes were often about these daily contradictions and how the unfortunate were those who did not get the joke that was at the heart of those contradictions. In other words, the joke was always on the fool who was not cynical enough to anticipate the lie.

This is relevant in our current age as we may be past the revolutionary stage and into that time when the people adjust to the irrational. The legacy conservative media keeps pounding the drum about how “we’re lurching into socialism” when we have been a socialist society for generations now. There is no aspect of our economic life outside the grip of the now semi-permanent ruling class. Telling people otherwise is just part of the way the ruling class controls the population.

Of course, this reality is dawning on even the dullest people, so we are being told that the bad guys are planning a “radical revolution.” The truth is, that revolution is well past the planning stage. It has already happened. From top to bottom, despite party labels or rhetoric, the system is stacked with people committed to the great reordering of society into the egalitarian paradise. The expulsion of Trump from office like a foreign body is the proof that the organism of state is wholly alien now.

In other words, a revolution has occurred out of view from the rest of us and now we are seeing the revolutionaries step out of the shadows. This is not a lot different than how Stalin took control of the party and government. He quietly consolidated his hold on the party, while his rivals were thinking the revolution was still ongoing. By the time they realized what had happened, it was too late. This realization was probably (the) penultimate thing that went through Trotsky’s head.

GREAT line, that one. Onwards.

Now we are in the phase where we get used to the often-bizarre contradictions in the rules being imposed by the new rulers. Some are easy, like the fact that states have put mentally disturbed Jewish men in sundresses in charge of public health. These are ornamental positions, so putting a crazy person in the role allows the governor to display his piety at little cost. Until the Covid hysteria, no one had any reason to know their state had public health officials.

Other bits of the new normal have no explanation. For example, states are now telling people they cannot make noise in their home, as part of the alleged fight against the spread of Covid. In Europe, they are banning the sale of alcohol at certain times, claiming this is to fight Covid.

Hate to bring it up and all, Z, but it ain’t just Europe.

On Wednesday, Nov. 25, restaurants and bars (in Pennsylvania—M) are ordered to suspend alcohol sales at 5 p.m. until 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26. Gov. Wolf says the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the “biggest day for drinking” and acknowledged bars and restaurants have been hit hard by the pandemic, but this one-night ban is needed.

Uh huh. Now as it happens, this grotesquely un-Constitutional decree was actually issued by the very “mentally disturbed Jewish man in a sundress” ZMan mentioned above (utterly ludicrous photo of said headcase at the GP link), which is pretty funny all by itself. But El Supremo Wolf’s follow-on “don’t blame meeee!” whine is one for the record books.

“The thing that we can’t do is ignore reality and say ‘yeah you folks, for no fault of your own, have been hit hardest by this virus.’ But the virus is what’s doing this. It’s not me. It’s not the administration. It’s not the government,” said Gov. Wolf.

Oh no no no, of course not. As everyone knows, tyranny is never, EVER the fault of an invasive, too-powerful government, even less so of the overreaching crawly things in charge of running it! Why, who could ever countenance making such an outlandish, irrational claim as that, for goodness’ sake? Such talk really ought to be against the law, if you ask me.

My GOD, the balls on these oxygen thieves. But honestly, how can you not love it just the same? Consider:

  • The ability to spew patent claptrap with a straight-face: “The thing that we can’t do is ignore reality…”WHEN “IGNORING REALITY” IS PRECISELY WHAT HE’S DOING
  • Alcohol sales must be banned—because, as has been firmly established by extensive research, testing, and observation, THEVIRUSTHEVIRUSTHEVIRUS!!!™is a bigger lush than Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and the ghost of Ted Kennedy put together, and just looooves itself a good, solid toot—but only between the hours of 5pm and 8am Thanksgiving Day. After 8am, humanity will BE SAAAAAFE!!! again, and can enjoy a snort if it likes. But not a moment before. Because, y’know, SCIENCE!!!
  • A nonsentient cluster of RNA strands and other such granular material—without authority, official standing, or even the ability to speak or sign the unlawful order—is somehow, some way, “what’s doing this.” Again: uttered with a straight face, with as much fake conviction as any lower-tier American pro-pol slime mold can scrape up, as if the man actually expected sensible people to believe it
  • BE SAAAAAAAFE!!! Also, do as you’re told, or else

Please pardon me, all, but I need to ask a simple question at this point:

WHY IN THE EVER-LOVIN’ BLUE-EYED WORLD AREN’T THESE WORMS EITHER LOCKED UP OR SWINGING BY THEIR NECKS FROM A FUCKING LAMPPOST, ANYWAY?

Asking for a friend, that’s all.

Cynicism? You better believe it, chum. It’s the last refuge sane people have at this late date.

The Venezuela-ing of America

Banana republic is as banana republic does.

By now, the election has displayed numerous “tells” that our own State Department uses to highlight fraudulent vote tabulation in countries like Iran and Ukraine: statistical anomalies, blocking and obscuring official observers, procedural irregularities such as stopping vote counts, suspicious software “glitches,” and social media blackouts when citizens raise the alarm.

Thankfully, litigation, hand-recounts, and even federal investigations of fraud are all underway—a process that other countries with questionable elections like Syria don’t have. But if proof of systematic meddling is uncovered, Americans must still rely on the justice system to act on this proof, and the media to ensure the rightful winner is declared.

But what if these hallowed institutions don’t deliver?

It might be terrifying to admit, but American democracy depends on authorities who have lost the public trust: unbiased state and city officials to ensure procedural fairness, unbiased election workers to ensure vote integrity, unbiased judges to enforce that integrity, and unbiased media to inform the American people about the other three. Who will audit the auditors? To examine one test case, the Georgia GOP has already raised alarms that the promised audit in their state does not meet crucial evidentiary criteria. Will something be done?

This election represents the ultimate test of our system and its resilience in a partisan age. If partisans can seize levers of power that impact election results, and they’ve shown they’ll stop at nothing in their revanchism, why engage in elections at all?

And what other recourse, short of revolution, can right the situation?

I’ve been trying really hard, but I can’t think of a single one. So it’s Amerizuela or bust.

Sidney Powell explained one of the many alleged anomalies of the 2020 presidential election on the Rush Limbaugh show: “Trump votes were programmed to switch to Biden ahead of time, but Trump’s votes were so high, it didn’t work right because they didn’t set their algorithms high enough.” Could that explain the sudden pauses in the counting of votes in crucial swing states on election night? Trump was too far ahead, and adjustments had to be made to ensure a Biden victory? Powell has also released information claiming that Smartmatic voting software, which was used extensively in the United States in the 2020 election, was manipulated in Venezuela to ensure the victories of socialists Hugo Chavez and Nicholas Maduro.

That isn’t evidence that this software was used in a fraudulent manner in the United States, but it raises the question, and we will likely not get definitive answers until the disputed election reaches the Supreme Court, and even then the arguments will go on. Nevertheless, the ongoing revelations about the 2020 election are more than enough, if not to overturn the result, then at very least to underscore the fact that whether or not President Trump’s efforts to throw out illegal votes and stop voter fraud this year succeed, America will have no more free elections if this problem is not thoroughly addressed, and concrete actions taken to ensure that future elections are tamper-proof.

And so it’s all on the line now with Sidney Powell, Rudolph Giuliani, and the rest of Trump’s legal team. Those who are dismissing even the possibility that the presidential election could have been rigged lack a historical sense. America has had fraudulent elections before, even at the presidential level: as Rating America’s Presidents details, Andrew Jackson raged (although he almost certainly wasn’t as unhinged as Hillary) for four years against what he called the “corrupt bargain” that he charged John Quincy Adams had made with Henry Clay to secure victory in the 1824 election, which went to the House of Representatives; he then rode that rage to a landslide victory over Adams in 1828.

Then in 1876, the election dispute dragged on until March 2, 1877, two days before what was then Inauguration Day. In exchange for Democrat acquiescence to his victory, the Republican Rutherford B. Hayes agreed to remove federal troops from the South, disenfranchising black Americans and creating the Democrats’ segregationist “Solid South” that lasted until the next fraudulent election, that of 1960. In that one, Democratic Party machines manufactured enough votes to deliver Illinois and Texas to John F. Kennedy. JFK’s opponent Richard M. Nixon opted not to contest the results, despite having evidence in hand, because of the disruption a disputed election would have caused to Cold War America.

But now the Cold War is long over, the Solid South is a distant memory, and the “corrupt bargain” is the one Trump referred to in a late October rally: “Joe Biden has made a corrupt bargain in exchange for his party’s nomination. He has handed control of his party over to the rage-filled socialist Marxist and left-wing extremists. And could we put another name in there? Starts with a ‘C.’ Communist. Yes. No, we got a couple of them too, unfortunately.”

Yes, we do. And we could have more very soon. If they’re victorious now, we may not get another chance to challenge their hegemony. We have seen how that works in Venezuela.

And now, thanks to the systemic corruption and megalomania of the Democrat-Socialist criminal cartel, we’re seeing it at work here too.

Are we not men?

We are Devo.

Somehow, being Cool blew up in America’s face. Cool became cringe, and cringe is everywhere you look.

That goes hand in hand with the Land Of The Free having slowly become the Home Of The Cowed—a sad, sorry transition that had the cherry put on top of it this past summer.

Legend, or CIA-funded propaganda, tells us the exact moment that Nikita Khrushchev knew the USSR was finished. It was 1959, and the Soviet premier was jetting out from LA as the sun dropped into the Pacific. Window-adjacent, thousands of feet up, Niki looked down, and there it was: American superabundance. Villa after villa after villa, each with its backyard swimming pool and its own gleaming Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, rolling into a cavernous garage. Our comrade was flattened — how many five-year plans would it take to have comforts like this? Game over, man.

On the margins of this civilization which Khrushchev envied, a diffuse set of heretics, misfits, pariahs, outcasts and hipsters of all ethnicities invented American Cool. Embryonic in the Jazz Age, clumsily developed by the Beats, accidentally incarnate in Elvis and studiously incarnate in Miles Davis, Cool was everywhere, even official, by the early years of the Sixties. It was an ironic attitude, a nonchalant pose, a controlled pout. Largely but not solely a male attribute, Cool was the armor plate worn by JFK and Steve McQueen, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, Sidney Poitier and Saul Bellow. By the end of the decade it was seethingly and suddenly teenaged. Cool went mad. Waiting for a rain of hydrogen bombs to close the human era, terrified by the Draft, the privileged children of that American super-abundance embraced sex, drugs, rock and rebellion.

The baby boomers’ struggle against all received wisdom summoned Godzilla-strength antagonists like John Wayne, William F. Buckley and Allan Bloom, each with his own charisma to burn. Depth, cosmic ambition, danger, juice, rigor — American culture was fulfilling its promise. ‘Let us boldly condemn all imitation,’ Herman Melville wrote in 1850, ‘and foster all originality.’ Well, here it was at last. The whole world, as the radicals of the time liked to say, was watching.

America’s cultural machinery jammed in the late Sixties. In the decades that followed, Cool burned itself out in the Culture Wars. This agonizing and often illusory conflict is many things. Cool is not one of them. Before it sprouted liver spots, the Culture War was at least capable of the odd vital explosion. Witness Town Bloody Hall (1979): witness Norman Mailer (in 1971), fresh from writing an essay on the sex war he described as ‘the most important single intellectual event of the last four years’, as he bluffs, batters, bristles and flirts his way through an electric two-hour debate with hardcore gynocrats Germaine Greer, Diana Trilling, Susan Sontag and Jill Johnston. ‘You are all singularly without wit,’ Mailer snarls, while the libbers hiss. It’s pure theater. The sexual chemistry between Mailer and Greer could have powered USS Gerald R. Ford.

How does the sex war play out today? Agonizingly, like all Culture War battles. Take Cardi B and her porno-rap single ‘WAP’ (the initials stand for ‘Wet-Ass Pussy’). Released in August, it rapidly became the most streamed and most watched single in Billboard 100 history. Miss B, who is shaped like five Hindenburgs stuffed into a fat suit, was the focus of much try-hard celebratory commentary by the femo-hacks who staff so many of our Republic’s prestige publications. Who would defend virtue, propriety and what Roman rapper Cicero called the summum bonum against this delirious filth?

Ben Shapiro, knight-at-arms, that’s who. Seeing the opportunity to start yet another pointless moral fracas, Shapiro devoted a fussy podcast segment to Ms B’s lyrics, which range from the drolly risqué to the uncomfortably gynecological. Shapiro, whose wife is a doctor, suggested that Ms B and her fellow lyricist Megan Thee Stallion bragging about requiring ‘bucket and mop’ for their ‘pussies’ suggested they required urgent medical attention. Ho, ho, ho! Gleefully, thousands upon thousands of Twitter accounts then suggested that Shapiro had never aroused any women, anywhere, poor Mrs Shapiro included.

There was, unfortunately, more. A few weeks later, Ms B, whose entire shtick is boasting about her sexual prowess, was humiliated in turn by the public collapse of her marriage to the rapper Offset. It seemed he’d been bucket-and-mopping behind her back for years. By the end, every participant in this toe-curling saga was diminished, smaller than before. That’s the Culture of Cringe in miniature.

Inexplicably, in a sprawling examination of America’s long-dominant Culture Of Cool and its reduction to nothing but a limp, wispy caricature of its former robust self, the author fails to mention Frank Sinatra even one time. Notwithstanding that bizarre omission, it’s still a pretty interesting read if you’re into that sort of thing. Which, we probably ALL ought to be a lot more “into that sort of thing” than we have been to date, given the demonstration we’re witnessing even now of just how critical the Culture Wars can be when it comes to the overall fate of the nation.

Oath-takers, oath-breakers

Crossing the line.

It was all spelled out in black and white, available for all to see, and had been since before I was born. The future was to be a borderless world in which people, money, goods, and services moved unfettered under the custody of an international class of credentialed technocrats, and the United States was to be its prophet. Globalism wasn’t a conspiracy; it was the consensus. It was institutionalized. It was the ethos of those who shaped and implemented policy, whether they be entrenched in academia, business and finance, or government and its bureaucracy, “and if you didn’t like it, you better learn to love it” as the poet said.

With the 2016 election, I was floored to find a candidate running for office who dared to call it by name. America was being betrayed by corrupt and incompetent leaders and looted by scavengers, and by God, that was gonna change. There was to be an end to open-ended wars abroad with vague objectives. American policy, whether on economics or immigration, would be fashioned to benefit actual Americans rather than the nebulous false god of Humanity at large. Whether he was sincere or if he’d make good or not was almost irrelevant. It was worth voting for him, if for no other reason than to put a shot across the bow of globalists.

The years since then have been a parade of funhouse mirrors with one grotesque caricature or farce after another portrayed to us by a hostile media driven mad with their diminishing loss of control over the proles. The usual suspects trot out their “experts” and act out an almost vaudeville routine to try and seduce the world with what we later discover to be half-truths if not outright lies.

What has happened with this year’s election, however, is beyond the pale.

In their obsession to oust the orange monster in their minds, the aspiring global managerial class has crossed a line and this demands a response.

When we enter the service, we swear an oath to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic.” What does that mean though when the majority of those on the other side of that oath see it merely as a means to manipulate your sense of honor or love of country? What does it mean when that constitution no longer describes the way power really works in America now, or fails to address the international networks of patronage that truly dictate policy today? How do concepts like treason even apply when almost the entire political class (and especially those who teach them) ceased to believe in nations long ago and have elected instead to offer up what remains on the altar of a utopia that will never come?

We have been betrayed and it’s time to stop tolerating it.

It still shocks me, although I know it shouldn’t, that the overwhelming majority of national elected officeholders swear the same oath to uphold and defend the Constitution as soldiers and cops do, with no intention whatsoever of upholding it—as if such oaths were without meaning or weight, just an outdated dumbshow undergone before being authorized to wield levels of power that, were they men with integrity enough to honor the solemn oaths they swear to, would not even exist at all.

Thereby proving yet again that the “people” we elect are in truth the very last ones on earth a self-respecting citizenry would want governing them.

“Avoiding death is not living”

Julie Kelly says give ’em the bird.

There’s only one response to anyone suggesting families shouldn’t celebrate Thanksgiving together this year because of COVID-19: Go to hell.

Actually, there IS one other response available for Real Americans who still retain the gumption to countenance using it: SEND the bastards there.

“Encourage guests to avoid singing or shouting, especially indoors. Keep music levels down so people don’t have to shout or speak loudly to be heard.”

That is not a passage from some dystopian novel or a command by a Marxist dictator or a parody in The Onion. It’s guidance posted on the Centers for Disease Control website courtesy of the United States government. Think about that: Some federal bureaucrat, probably a highly credentialed “expert” with a messianic complex, is telling 330 million Americans that they should not sing. In their own homes. So they don’t spread a mostly harmless virus to other people.

It’s beyond laughable, but this isn’t a joke. These people are serious. And they should receive a collective middle finger from the American people.

If there’s any upside to this God-awful year, it’s the revelation that the people in charge are inhumane sociopaths consumed with their own egos and lust for power. The nation—and the world—is being subjected to a destructive pseudoscientific experiment that has failed spectacularly in its stated mission to “stop” COVID-19 while inflicting an economic, educational, and personal toll that never will be fully calculated.

Everyone has suffered but no one has been punished for unleashing this slow-moving catastrophe. To the contrary, the cabal of culpable government leaders are digging in their boot heels to crush the collective spirit of the country. At a time when people need to be with their friends and families the most, a time when the soul-soothing routine of the holidays has never been more necessary, the government’s soulless apparatchiks seek to strip away our last vestiges of joy.

These people are not healthy. They don’t care about you or your child or your elderly parent. They care only about power and control. They should be mocked then ignored. Sadly, however, millions of brainwashed Americans will dutifully comply. Cherished moments will be forsaken without any guarantee they’ll return next holiday season.

With ya one hundred and ten percent there, Jules. Alas, thanks to the panic-ninnies’ hysterical overreaction to the Red Death—and the audacity with which our new overlords so eagerly exploited it for nefarious purposes—all too many Americans proved all too willing to give up essential liberty to purchase a wholly-false security. In perfect accordance with Benjamin Franklin’s unheeded warning, they have now lost both, and deserve neither.

Of brass tacks, the nitty-gritty, and nut-cuttin’

Let’s get right down to ’em.

Last Wednesday, supporters of President Donald Trump gathered outside ballot counting centers in Arizona and Michigan to demand a clean and honest vote count. An MSNBC reporter in Arizona filmed the protesters in Maricopa County, where 400,000 ballots were being counted. Standing behind the protesters, the reporter tried to paint the crowd as violent and dangerous even as they stood and kneeled in silent prayer for election integrity.

It was a hard sell, but other reporters quickly got in on the action, and videos appeared throughout the day of reporters describing the swelling crowd chanting “Count the Vote” as violent.

There may be an innocent explanation for the obvious misinformation.

No there isn’t. To believe there might be, you’d need to accept the self-evidently spurious notion that we’re talking about innocent, impartial players here—honest reporters with nothing but pure hearts, clear consciences, and good intentions motivating them. At this point, anybody who isn’t guffawing right out loud at the very idea is a damned fool.

Political violence, like ballot harvesting, is a feature of the Democrats’ post-democratic political playbook. And here it is important to remember how things transpired in real time.

During the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, her campaign and the media presented Trump and his supporters as illegitimate political actors. Clinton memorably referred to them as “deplorables.” When Trump won the race, their delegitimization of Trump and his supporters quickly led them not to oppose Trump’s presidency, actions and policies, but to reject the legitimacy of both his presidency and of the democratic process that enables “deplorables” to choose a president that the Democrats don’t support.

That is, the delegitimization of Trump and his voters morphed into a rejection of the rules of American democracy.

Actually, it’s the other way around: the Left’s rejection of American democracy and Constitutional government long predated their refusal to accept Trump’s 2016 win, which then led to the ongoing campaign to delegitimize and remove him from office, by any means they could contrive.

It’s impossible to know how things will develop in America in the coming weeks. But it is hard to see a rainbow over the horizon. If Trump is declared the winner, the Democrats won’t accept the legitimacy of the verdict. Their use of political violence will undoubtedly rise.

And if Biden is declared the winner, the Democrats will not rest on their laurels. Having already adopted the totalitarian mindset, they will insist their newfound power be used to advance their program. Indeed, they already are.

MSNBC commentator Jason Johnson said Wednesday that there must be no peace for Republicans in a Biden presidency. Johnson warned Biden that he mustn’t even think about magnanimity in victory. He is “at war.”

In Johnson’s words, “You cannot come into this White House with the idea that these people [Trump supporters] aren’t the enemy. They are. They are the enemies of democracy.”

As I keep saying, we must take true enemies of democracy, liberty, and Constitutionally-proper governance like the excrescence Johnson at their word. Not should, mind you; MUST. Because trust me, they are NOT just whistling Dixie with all this bluster about “war” and “enemies” and such. These villanous curs have demonstrated enough times by now that they mean these terms quite literally, and take this war quite seriously indeed.

So must Team Liberty, then. We must ditch any and all remaining reticence over naming them enemies and start calling a spade a spade here. To go on being reluctant to face the unpleasant facts squarely will do nothing more than guarantee we’ll be overwhelmed and, ultimately, undone by them. Our enemy intends to win, and to rule. We must not, we cannot, allow that. However impolite the more genteel among us think it to say such beastly things right out loud, they’ll dislike what happens if we lose this war a whole lot more.

As for Trump’s supporters, after being called “chumps” by Biden, after watching the Democrat-run vote counts and Big Tech’s censorship of the president, Trump’s supporters will not trust the integrity of the process that brought Biden to the White House. And it is hard to imagine them taking it silently.

Standing outside the Philadelphia courthouse Wednesday, Giuliani addressed both the media and Trump’s supporters. Looking at the reporters, he said, “Do you think we’re stupid? You think we are fools?”

Turning to Trump’s supporters, Giuliani added, “Do you know something? The Democrats do think you’re stupid, they do think you’re fools, and that’s why you get called deplorable chumps. That’s over.”

No, not yet it isn’t. Count on it, people: none of this—NONE of it—will be over unless and until WE DECIDE IT IS, and then make that decision stick. Like it or not, there’s only one way to do that. It won’t be pretty, it won’t be easy, and it won’t be pleasant. But at the end of the day, the alternative will be far, far worse. It’s time for us to stop being chumps and show these assholes instead just how “deplorable” we can be when we need to. Time, too, to show them exactly why we’ve been “bitterly clinging” to our Bibles and our guns, and to teach them exactly what the 2A is really all about.

A matter of trust

This. This right here.

It is impossible to overstate how serious a stolen American presidential election is. It is literally the end of the Republic if that is what has happened. And it cannot be remedied, because there are 70 million people who will never trust or respect the federal elections process again without drastic reforms that would effectively constitute a new social contract.

America will become ungovernable. The cash economy will overtake the legitimate economy. Lawlessness will become rampant as once-lawful citizens give up and begin chiseling out whatever they can. Without a social contract, there is no peaceful transfer of power in any political office, and violence will reign.

We could be literally facing the end of America.

Actually, we’re facing the aftermath of the end of America, which occurred when we permitted the Left to get away consequence-free with the manifest criminality and corruption we’ve passively witnessed for so long.

This can’t be allowed. A stolen election in the United States of America is unthinkable. That one side would so blatantly violate the social contract is beyond the pale.

The president and his team will be making the case this week that the irregularities and defects in this failed election changed the outcome. They must be allowed to make that case, and to present evidence for it. If that evidence is indeed compelling and shows itself to be material to the outcome, then legislators in those states where the fraud has been decisive are obligated to invalidate the posted, fraudulent results and choose their own slates of electors as provided in the Constitution. Failing that, the House must vote on Jan. 3 to invalidate an Electoral College result decided by fraud.

The Constitution, the foundation of our Republic, demands no less. It provides remedies against a stolen election. If those remedies are not acted upon should the president win his case, the Constitution is dead and the Republic with it, and the abyss beckons.

Oh, the abyss isn’t beckoning. It now surrounds us, its darkness has engulfed us. Sad to say, the only possible path back into the light is as perilous as it is tortuous.

Not just fraud

A coup.

The plot against America can’t stop. Not when it’s gone this far. Vote fraud isn’t new in American elections. Not even in presidential elections. But it’s never been backed by this degree of coordination and propaganda by the media and Big Tech. When Daley stole the election from Nixon for JFK in Chicago, the operation wasn’t coordinated with the media and Big Tech.

That’s the difference between political corruption and an oligarchy.

When a political party steals an election, it’s corruption, but when a coalition of tech monopolies, media corporations, and their handpicked party steal an election, it’s a coup.

This was not an election. It was a coup.

This was not just voter fraud out of Philly. It’s a coup by the San Francisco oligarchy.

The weeping cable news anchors, and the ruthless suppression of dissent by Facebook, Twitter, and Google, are how fake elections are conducted in totalitarian dictatorships. It’s un-American.

Q: How do you know a given election was fraudulent?
A: There were Democrats involved.

Followup Q: So just how bad was the Democrat fraud this time, anyway?
A: Way, way, WAY worse than you think.

Tonight we have obtained an unaudited analysis of data available for all the states looking for system glitches and other oddities in vote counts related to the Presidential race only.

Last night we reported on another so called system ‘glitch’, this time in a county in Wisconsin.  Evidence was provided to us that showed that the vote totals for Rock County appeared to be switched between President Trump and Joe Biden.  9,516 votes were eliminated from President Trump and moved to Joe Biden. This 19,032 vote difference when corrected would eliminate Biden’s lead in Wisconsin.

In the post last night we also identified issues we’ve reported on in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia where similar ‘glitches’ occurred.

We next attempted to obtain more data on this issue so we could determine how widespread this issue may be and/or if there are reasonable explanations for what is occurring.

Then tonight we were led to a site on the Internet (https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8O2wesk/happening-calling-every-pede-to-/) where someone who had seen our posts decided to do an analysis himself.

In the piece the author claims his work is a full list of votes switched from Trump to Biden or votes erased by Dominion (the vote machines used in many states across the US).

(The author claims that his work has been verified but we have not verified the results so we currently are labeling his results “unaudited.”)

The author decided to obtain the data himself and perform an analysis of national votes switched from Trump to Biden and votes erased (the total amount of votes counted decreased by that amount throughout the counting).

Based on this initial analysis over 500,000 votes were identified that were switched from President Trump to Joe Biden.

In addition to this another 2,865,757 votes were deleted.

WOW. Looks like Team Fraud & Fascism (ie, the Demonrats, Enemedia, and the Deep State) really pulled out all the stops to steal this one. Is it any wonder they’re suddenly so anxious that the people they screwed over all just avert their eyes and shut up so everybody can all “unite” and be friends again?

De l’audace, encore de l’audace, et toujours de l’audace should be tattooed on their damned foreheads.

What to do, what to do

Steyn offers a course of action for Trump to consider.

If the lawsuits go nowhere, what should Trump do? He’s never been a “normal” president, and he wasn’t elected to be one. Does he really want to mope around in the Oval Office until January 20th for a “peaceful transition of power” that he himself was denied (by among others Joe Biden)? Even if they never succeed in gaoling him, they will surely use the “peaceful transition” to put in place a couple of decades’ worth of litigation-without-end. Come to that, can he even trust the Secret Service agents they’ll assign to him?

He will never be a “normal” former president – because they are determined to exclude him from those ranks. If I were Trump and the litigation goes south, I would pardon Michael Flynn, Roger Stone and others and then get on a plane to one of my overseas resorts to play a little golf. After forty-eight hours, I would resign the presidency, having first ensured that Mike Pence would issue any necessary pardon.

I think the American people would enjoy Pence as president for a couple of months, and Pence would do the tedious interregnum shtick better than a justifiably sour and embittered Trump. And, if nothing else, it would oblige the Dems to re-order all their T-shirts, because Joe would now be the “47th president”. The political “norms” of contemporary America are mostly garbage: No founding father would have contemplated for a moment a two-year presidential campaign, and, if you’d suggested it, they’d have cried in unison, “Come back, George III, all is forgiven.” It’s a total waste of time, energy and money, culminating in a three-month “transfer of power” that the Deep State uses very effectively to ensure that as little as possible actually gets transferred.

But it’s impossible to change unless a sorely traduced guy with nothing to lose goes and blows it up. That would be a grand public service.

Go for it, Mr President – and then run in 2024 as the 21st-century Grover Cleveland.

I like it, but have a few more suggestions to tack on. In addition to pardons for one and all who were persecuted, hounded, and had their lives and livelihoods destroyed by petty, spiteful Democrat-Socialist pond scum, before he heads on off to some Bahamas isle for some well-earned R&R, Trump should:

  • Thoroughly and ruthlessly clean Deep State house via mass firings in every Federal bureaucracy—ZERO exceptions, from department heads on down to the lowliest janitor; not a single Swamp remora or Obama stay-behind should be spared
  • Declassify every last document even tangentially related to the Russia and Ukraine hoaxes; Operation Fast and Furious; Operation Crossfire Hurricane/Spygate; the Benghazi blunder; the Iran pallets o’ cash scam; HILLARY!!™‘s illegal shithouse server; Uranium One, etc, then execute a massive document dump to every media outlet in the world
  • Disband the FBI and CIA specifically, direct the US Marshall Service to forcible eject every employee and contractor without delay, then reduce the buildings they currently occupy to rubble
  • Sell off all office equipment, supplies, and furnishings left behind by terminated bureau-rats at fire-sale prices, then immediately raze the now-vacant office buildings they previously infested

After all that, Mr Preznit sir, declare it a job well done, accept the thanks of a grateful half-of-a-nation for your efforts, then head to the beach for plenty of sun, surf, and suds far removed from the soul-sucking toils of Mordor On The Potomac and its loathsome Orcs.

The “glitch” ain’t a glitch

A feature, not a bug.

Let’s Be Clear About That Michigan “Computer Glitch”
The computer glitch that was found to have turned 6000 Trump votes into Biden votes in Michigan.  Software that’s used in 47 other Michigan counties, not to mention pretty much all the states with miraculous vote changes for Biden.

That was not a computer glitch. That was a programming decision. Whether that was some sort of programming error, which seems highly unlikely, or if it was deliberate cheating I don’t know, but I highly suspect deliberately bad software.  Let’s face it; adding integers is just about the easiest thing to get a computer to do (and if you’re thinking of adding votes as floating point numbers, go back to school).

Let’s get one thing clear.  Computer “glitches” cause a system to fail, or cause it produce random-looking outputs.  They can even possibly reboot the system.  If it’s good software, it gives some sort of indication that something bad happened.  If it changes the results of a count, or moves it to another candidate that’s something else.

What I’m saying is if the computer “glitched,” it would have done something far more random looking and easier to detect than moving votes from Trump to Biden.  That’s no glitch.  It’s a software feature.

SiG has been working in this field since the 70s, and knows whereof he speaks. But having been fooling around with these infernal machines for many a long year now myself, and having poked around a fair-ish bit deeply into the innards (back in the Mac’s System 7- thru 9 era, I learned machine language for purposes of GUI customization, among other nefarious activities) of the things, my initial thought upon hearing about the so-called “glitch” was the same as SiG’s: that it was no such thing, merely a ploy based on an assumption of total wet-brained stupidity on pretty much everybody’s part when it comes to how software actually works.

Better throw “coincidences” that are no such damned thing into the mix as well.

Well whaddya know, a Pelosi connection. How very curious. But I’m sure it’s really nothing, right? Certainly no reason to be at all suspicious or anything. Probably just a one-off thing, right?

Dominion Voting Systems tied to Clintons, widely used in battleground states

Ruh-roh. There goes my youthful doe-eyed innocence, right out the friggin’ window.

Bloomberg reported in April of last year that Dominion Voting Systems hired a high-powered lobbying firm that includes a longtime aide to Pelosi. They hired Brownstein Farber Hyatt & Schreck. Nadeam Elshami, Pelosi’s former chief of staff, is one of the lobbyists on the account.

In 2014, Dominion was listed in the Washington Post table as having donated between $25,001-$50,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

Anybody out there still kidding themselves that the American election system is still basically sound, instead of rotten from the roots up? If so, may I please have some of what you’re smoking?

I repeat: when all the “mistakes” and “errors” and “glitches”—EVERY GODDAMNED ONE OF THEM SO FAR—only go one way, always to the benefit of one side and never the other—then they are NOT mistakes. They’re part of a plan.

But hey, tell me the one again about how there’s “absolutely no evidence” of fraud, whydon’tcha. That one’s my favorite.

The only evidence of election fraud you’ll ever need

Is this right here:

BoardingUp.jpg

Enemedia and their Democrat-Socialist partners in crime are of course lying through their crooked teeth with all that “no evidence of fraud” folderol they’ve been peddling so aggressively, but the picture above tells the tale. Ballots are supposed to be CAST in secret; they must be COUNTED right out in the open, with plenty of witnesses from both sides closely watching to keep everybody honest, if an election is to be regarded as even remotely above-board. Bodily removing observers from one party, blocking their access in any way, and boarding over windows add up to one thing, and one thing only: somebody has something to hide.

And that is absolutely, positively IT. Finito, end of story, period fucking DOT. Everything else is just details.

Flight 93 augers in

Anton takes stock.

The 2020 election in particular, and our electoral process in general, have been badly compromised.

First there have been the successful efforts by Democrats to loosen electoral administration standards and practices by legalizing ballot harvesting (where partisan “volunteers” go out and collect ballots as well as “assist” voters in filling out their ballots), allowing same-day voter registration, mass mail-in voting, and the like. On the flipside we have Democrats tenaciously fighting any efforts to shore up the integrity of the system, such as requiring ID and proof of citizenship to vote.

Couple all of this with unprecedented last minute rule changes on the eve of what was sure to be the most contested election in generations, if not in American history: all changes designed to favor one side over the other.

Theoretically, none of these measures guaranteed a compromised vote. Theoretically, it’s possible that a system designed to be gamed and abused won’t be. But a party concerned about the integrity of the system wouldn’t expend so much effort making it easier to rig elections; it would do the opposite. The other party, the one trying to do exactly that (if all too often in a desultory, half-hearted way) nevertheless gets attacked as the enemy of “democracy.”

No matter what he does, President Trump will get no credit from his enemies, who are already demanding that he concede before the counting is even over—to say nothing of the lawsuits and potential recounts. If he does, a new standard will have been set, or an old one reaffirmed: in any close election, if the Democrat appears to be ahead, and irregularities appear to be present, they are to be dismissed as nonexistent and the Republican must go gently into that good night.

That may well work in securing the White House this time. But if they just ram this through without explaining what really happened, then the legitimacy not just of our electoral system but of our entire government will have suffered an extreme, and possibly fatal, blow.
No one will really know who won. Partisans on both sides will insist they do, but they won’t—not really. Unless all the anomalies are explained, every count and recount conducted in a fair and transparent manner, the occupant of the White House on January 20, 2021—whoever he is—will sit under a cloud. If he’s Joe Biden, that cloud will be entirely of his party’s own making.

But far more ominously, one half the country—or to be more precise, the class that rules in the interests of (at most) half the country—will surmise that it can rule by fiat. The other half will conclude that they are subjects.

Whether that conclusion resigns the latter to apathy or stirs them to rebellion is the question that will determine the course of our politics going forward.

Agreed, right down the line. The past week’s heinous events have revealed what kind of country America really is. From here on out, we will find out what kind people Americans really are—or if they can still rightly even call themselves Americans at all. I shudder to contemplate what the answer will be. The only thing we can all be certain of is that nothing will ever be the same again. No matter what, politics, elections, the people, their relations with each other, the country as a whole, EVERYTHING has changed—profoundly, irrevocably, and NOT for the better.

Update! Bill, too, is taking stock.

You know, the real problem here isn’t that we have embarrassed ourselves. It is that the Ruling Class and its Ruling Party – the American Oligarchy, in other words – has come out of the shadows in which it customarily operates and, on the third try, managed a naked, but successful coup against Donald Trump.

People thought this was a game. They thought there were rules. There weren’t. There was only win, or lose, and they intended to win.

As I predicted, the tech oligarchs shut down all effective opposition to the coup on their platforms, and put all their expertise to work guaranteeing the success of the coup. The Enemy Media (and that part of the media we thought was not the enemy, but it was too), went all in. The billionaires opened their wallets wide and poured a tsunami of money into the cause. And the politicians loosed Blackshirt storm troopers onto our locked down cities, while we cowered behind closed doors, afraid to breathe free air because of a plague that doesn’t actually exist.

Nor did the designers of the coup intend to settle for half measures. Apparently now control of the Senate is at risk as well. Bucket loads of late ballots manufactured from God knows where are flowing into states in the middle of the night, and suddenly a Senate majority that looked safe for the GOP is teetering on the brink. Make no mistake, if the Senate ends in a tie, Kamala Harris will be there to decide every tie vote to favor the Democrats.

We will end up with a Democrat sweep of the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.

And then they’ll do away with the filibuster in the Senate, pack the Supreme Court, and start to work on rendering the constitution itself an irrelevant document. The Second Amendment? Forget about it. And if you think the cops won’t enforce the gun confiscation orders from their bosses, well, you probably thought our elections were honest, too.

And we will take it. We will accept the new order. Why? Because we have become a weak and flaccid nation, addicted to the numb buzz of our social media habits, brainwashed by the tech lords and the media minions of the progressive juggernaut. Our Founders bet their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor on America. We won’t risk the time it takes to get out of our chairs, away from the juice of FB and Twitter wired directly into our brains, or ten bucks out of our wallets to support candidates who support America. As for honor, that’s so old fashioned. We don’t do honor any longer. And our children have been “educated” to despise everything America once stood for.

We didn’t lose our nation this week. We lost it years ago. And the GOP helped.

Sad to say, I can’t argue with any of that either. As I said last night: although the long downhill slide began long before, we lost our country fully and for good back in the 60s when we complacently declined to kick Proggy Red’s scroungy ass to the curb, tacitly granting space for his diseased ideology to fester and metastasize. The Founders explictly laid out what would ensue should Americans ever relax their vigilance and become derelict in their duty to defend liberty, to “preserve its blessings for themselves and their posterity.” And now their warnings have been realized, their prescient genius confirmed for all time.

All that’s left now is to pay the tab for that gross laxity. It ain’t gonna be fun.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go.
