Enemies, domestic

Wait, whut?!?

SINGAPORE — The United States imported a rare cargo of 1.033 million barrels of Iranian crude in March despite sanctions on Iran’s energy sector, data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration showed.

The cargo is only the second oil import by the United States from Iran since late 1991, data on EIA’s website showed.

Let’s cut to Jim Hoft for a perspective-enhancing review.

You cannot lead a country when you hate its people so much that you would rather import oil from a wicked terrorist regime than allow American workers to produce that same product.

Joe Biden’s first action as president was to shut down construction of the Keystone Pipeline and eliminating an estimated.52,100 American jobs in the process.

Canceling the Keystone Pipeline costs over 11,000 construction jobs and 42,100 jobs throughout the US during the construction process according to the US State Department.

Then in May Joe Biden and his handlers waved  American economic sanctions on Russia in order to streamline construction on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany.

And then, this happened.

The Biden Administration will suspend all oil and gas contracts in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge amid rising gas prices.

The national average price of gas per gallon in the US is $3.045 as of Tuesday, June 1.

Gas prices have spiked in Southern California to $6 per gallon.

Joe Biden is now freezing all oil and gas contracts in Alaska’s Arctic Refuge after canceling the Keystone X pipeline.

Recall, in a last minute push, the Trump Administration in late 2020 moved to auction off drilling rights in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

The Enviro-Nazi left went berserk over Trump’s push to open up drilling in the region and now Biden is freezing all leases.

Hey, remember back when we were energy-independent there for a brief spell, with prices at the pump edging down towards the two-bucks-a-gallon range, even lower? Good times, good times. Now—after killing Keystone and throwing tens of thousands out of work, just before a servile polishing of the Russian knob for their OWN pipeline project—the people making the Biden puppet’s lips move have us illegally importing oil from a fanatical Mooselimb enemy. Not just any old Mooselimb enemy, either; the “Death To America!” bunch, no less.

Unbelievable, unacceptable, intolerable. I’m speechless, people. If you think these loathsome pricks aren’t actively trying to harm the country, tell me what they’d be doing differently if they were?

Leftists: can’t live with ’em, can’t shoot ’em

Yet.

What kind of abysmal social and economic conditions would make at least five separate counties of US voters want to flee a state to join the borders of another state? Well, all it takes is a cult of insane Marxists running the entire state into the ground from the safety of their metropolitan communes while demanding that people submit their undying fealty to the draconian medical mandates of an elitist minority. Yeah, things have to get pretty bad to inspire so many people into leaving and taking half the state with them.

Welcome to Oregon…

The future implications of vaccine passports and economic decline are disturbing, but this is the inevitable result when leftists and collectivists are allowed to gather political and social power. As I have noted many times this year, leftists are the ONLY subset of the population seeking and supporting government dominion over American lives. Not only that, but they have consistently partnered with global corporations that they supposedly despise in order to leverage more power.

They are the only people supporting mass censorship, mob intimidation of those with different political views, mass violence against innocent people and businesses, they supported government lockdowns and extensive violations of the Bill of Rights, and now they are supporting vaccine passports which would destroy all personal liberty in this country for all time.

Am I falling into a “left/right” paradigm trap here? Are things just as bad in conservative red states? Why not take a look at a red state like my home of Montana?

Which he does, confirming every single thing you would expect of any honest comparison. Then:

The fact of the matter is, the left/right paradigm is a reality. The political elites at the top of the pyramid have no loyalties to either side, but regular people at the bottom of the pyramid are indelibly separated. The proof is in the actions of blue states vs red states.

Much discussion has already been had, both here and elsewhere, about the inaccuracy or even irrelevancy of terms like Left/Right, liberal/conservative, socialism/communism, &C, but those arguments are merely semantics, and not really worth having. Whichever label you prefer, it’s clear enough where the division is, who is on which side, and the intentions and goals of each side. The lines have been drawn; each player has chosen their team. There’s only one meaningful distinction to be made now, one last choice before us: resignation, or resistance?

Perhaps there are many Democrats out there who do not necessarily agree with the cultism of social justice warriors. Maybe they don’t support the unhinged thirst for vicarious control that vaccine virtue signalers display. But if they don’t support it they are not saying much about it out loud. This is indeed about sides, and “moderation” at this point is a joke. One side is supported by real science, the other side is ignoring the science for the convenience of their ideology. One side is clearly right, and the other side is clearly wrong.

Conservatives want to be left alone, and leftists want to dictate the lives of others. Conservatives are for freedom, and leftists are not. There is no debating this any longer. The question is, which side are you on?

Actually, no. Anybody who doesn’t know by now is so politically oblivious as to have effectively taken themselves out of the equation as unserious and peripheral non-participants, thereby rendering themselves unworthy of further consideration by those who are serious and engaged. No, the question at this late date is really: what, if anything, are we going to do about it?

People’s War

I repeat: it ain’t just here, and it ain’t just us. Western Civ entire is under assault, a conflict which has been thrust upon us by our own arrogant and treacherous self-styled “elite.”

I must acknowledge that this once strong, vibrant collection of nation-states, including my own, is facing a bleak future in disarray and uncertainty as an alien human tsunami smashes down on us, a succession of destructive waves from every failed state on Earth bringing the retrogressive socio-political policies that created those failures in the first place.

Indigenous Europeans increasingly see this rapidly expanding assault for what it is. Either intuition or a resurgent survival instinct leads them to acknowledge that, despite a torrent of disinformation to the contrary, these arrivals are not benign symbionts but predatory parasites – organisms that kill their hosts by slowly devouring them from within.

Consequently, the approaching dénouement will not be a matter between members of the same familia but between the indigenous inhabitants and an invasive, colonising force that has taken a relentless death grip on the present conduct and eventual shape of our singular existence. We find ourselves in the position where we have nothing to lose but our children’s chains and this will force us to decide between two equally undesirable courses of action: we either submit or, alternatively, enter into the Fourth Dimension of Warfare, more commonly known as People’s War. I am mindful of the fact that such an enterprise could succeed only if it were waged on a predominantly Pan-European scale.

Why? Because history teaches us that the outcome of such war hinges upon a precisely defined set of conditions. The preparation for, the initiation of and successful prosecution of People’s War is a complex weave of many threads, the failure or absence of any one of which can unravel the whole enterprise. I list below these conditions:

  1. A society must be in a stage of evolution in which its economic and social structure is changing, and when its institutions and control mechanisms cannot cope with such changes. In short, a revolutionary potential exists;
  2. A revolutionary situation develops;
  3. High-grade leadership has emerged, and a sound organisation has been constructed;
  4. Support of the people has been achieved;
  5. Geo-political factors are favourable;
  6. The philosophy of co-ordinated action on all the battlefronts is understood and applied. The battlefronts of People’s War are: Cultural/Spiritual; Socio-economic; Political; International and Military, in that order.

So where do we find ourselves now? To all appearances only the first condition could be considered to be in place although the second may be in the process of evolving. Whether or not all the others, or even any one of them, could materialise is a moot point. Such great upheavals in human affairs require a long period of gestation (time we do not have) and demand total commitment and great sacrifice from a substantial number of like-minded participants to challenge established political hierarchies that tend to react with draconian ruthlessness in defence of their sinecures.

Damn them all! Throughout the West successive governments have deliberately filled the pressure cooker, clamped down the lid and stoked a fire beneath. Now, driven not by the laws of physics but by the explosive pressure of determined people focused on their own survival, it is ready to blow.

Meanwhile the political elites and their apparatchiks, aided and abetted by the censorship and selective reportage of a conspiratorial media, persist in sitting on the lid of the pressure cooker in the hope that the votes of the predators and their appeasers and the support of vested corporate interests will sustain them in office.

Together with the Gadarene Swine of the legal profession they are concerned only with protecting their secure, comfortable existence.

And again I must repeat: how bitterly ironic, then, that their own wilfull malfeasance should be the very thing that calls forth a serious threat to the continuation of said existence.

Time and again they demonstrate that they are unwilling to do anything that halts and then reverses the course of this culture-destroying catastrophe. They simply will not acknowledge the magnitude of the impending holocaust that they are making inevitable by what, in the most generous analysis, could only be described as gesture politics and determined inaction.

The prime function of any government is defence of the realm, and failure to do so by deliberately denying or hiding the true nature of a threat and protecting the bringers of civilisational genocide is High Treason pure and simple, and needs to be seen as such.

Thespians all, they who exercise political power, no matter how temporarily, should bear in mind that in the wings the Four Horsemen wait impatiently, ready to ride out again when gifted only the slightest of opportunities.

So be it, then. As the man said: Damn them all.

Home truths

Two articles that are chock-a-block with ’em.

Let’s be honest: the federal government hasn’t looked in tip-top shape for a long time, and now it’s a train wreck waiting to happen.

It’s made up of millions of petty bureaucrats who couldn’t care less about “serving the public.” Rather, they use their sinecures to exert power over (and not on behalf of) Americans and turn a tidy profit in the process. As was made clear while President Trump was in office, the president’s prerogative is routinely thwarted by an unelected administrative Leviathan that has no foundation in the Constitution’s division of government but does move to the Democratic Party’s marching orders. Congress is made up of below-average-intelligence scoundrels and prima donnas who pretend to be statesmen and lawmakers while outside lobbyists, corporate kingmakers, and foreign governments write the laws that punch the rest of us right in the gut. And the federal courts have become home to too many political hacks camouflaged in priestly robes who distort the rule of law in pursuit of partisan objectives.

Notwithstanding the timely re-emergence of fiscal conservatives every few years who promise to have an answer to America’s budgetary crisis and looming financial Armageddon, nobody honestly believes there is any way to arrest America’s runaway debt explosion and unfunded liabilities spiraling past 250 trillion dollars while one quarter of the money supply now in circulation has been created out of thin air in just the last year.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military is engaged in war in some eighty countries — or nearly half the nations on the planet — and most Americans have no idea what kind of fighting is being done on their behalf or why. They do know that while the federal government finds the logistical legerdemain to engage in global conflict, it cannot (and will not) be bothered to use any of that skill to secure the southern border — preferring instead to enable drug-traffickers and criminal gangs to wage war against American citizens while at the same time demanding that Americans relinquish their Second Amendment rights to self-protection.

But do not worry. Have no fear. We have an Intelligence Community in America that is keeping everyone safe by reading all of our emails and text messages, spying on our phone calls, and generally making sure that any American objecting to the State-enforced political correctness struggle sessions of the day be added to the government’s growing list of “extremists.” The same bunch of propagandists who could be counted on to push the Russia hoax for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and who will now make sure that the origins of the Wuhan Virus get covered up for the political benefit of Joe Biden, are the wizards who regularly engage in national disinformation campaigns against the American people for their own good. Was the CIA lying about Russian bounties being paid for the killing of American soldiers in Afghanistan in order to manipulate White House policy? Sure. Is military intelligence pushing UFO sightings today to distract the American people from emerging crises on the horizon? Maybe. Is there any check whatsoever on the powers of the Intelligence Community? Not likely. Does anyone in Congress seem to care? Nope.

Every last syllable a pure, 24-carat nugget of solid-gold Truth. But one way or another, directly or indirectly, all the above can be laid in the lap of the Evil Left.

Yes, I did say Evil. With a capital E. And I meant it, too.

This Weekend We Remember – The Left Is Evil
If you remember one thing this Memorial Day weekend, let it be this — leftists are horrible, cloven-hoofed sub-humans.

The word, “evil” gets tossed around like Marilyn Monroe at the Kennedy compound. Leftists believe voter ID, the wall, ICE, Trump supporters and Christmas are all “evil.” Words are like baseball mitts. The more you use them the softer they become. Kind of like how the word “racist” no longer has meaning.

FACT-O-RAMA: Using a word until it loses its meaning is referred to “semantic satiation.”

Let’s take a look down memory land and look at some classic evil.

He has a little list, consisting of but a few items. That’s okay, though; there’s no way in Hell (ahem) a complete one could ever be compiled, since there are too many new examples every day for any mere mortal to even keep up with. Anybody who tried would probably die from choking on all the sulfur and burning-pitch fumes anyway.

From a simmer to a boil

TL’s latest.

The frustration I heard in the voice of a four-tour force recon vet discharged after a mortar ended his service was undeniable. It was also evident that the insults hurled from a woke mayor in a Texas city had him in a state of calm, but determined resistance. He spoke of the BLM march through the city given a route that went past the “biker bar” section of town as evidence of the taunting taking place across the country by mayors and governors who are determined to get a violent reaction. “We’re not that stupid,” he said.

From someone who has seen his share of death and destruction in the chaotic villages of a war-torn nation, he knows what is being fomented against him and those like him. They want the conflict, just like they wanted to hang the “insurrection” tag on a peaceful protest in Washington D.C. on January 6th. Unlike the woke peaceful protests all summer that were embellished with flame, wrecked buildings and murder, the January 6th peaceful protest saw only instigators (probably infiltrators) breaking a window or two. There is no comparison between the occupation of federal court buildings, looting and burning by those released from jail the day before for the same mischief and a crowd being let into the capitol on the sixth only to further the insurrection narrative.

I asked how we could fix a political system intent on inciting violence against one set of people by another. It isn’t just BLM against bikers, or school systems against parents, or black against white, or Hispanic against Asian, or young against old, or left against right, or gay against straight, or vaxers against anti-vaxers, or mask wearers against mask refusers; it is the intent of government officials to inflame these conflicts to the point of violence that is the concern. His response was a slow shake of the head, a shrug of the shoulders saying what he preferred not to say.

The fact is, there is no D-Day, but rather the slow accumulation of grievances until the load can no longer be carried. His words came back to me over the whole conversation. “We’re not that stupid.” The trouble with combat veterans, like my father (Korea), is they tend to be non-confrontational in such situations, because they can smell an ambush, not because they fear engagement, but half measures won’t suffice and until they are ready to go full-on, all other responses seem tepid, but the rage builds.

This climate is being manufactured. Those who are sure they will win are goading on the conflict. Those who are not sure they will win, refuse to fight at half measure, harming only their families and friends, enraging a brutal enemy without the resolve to complete the mission. What the enemies of the people should be afraid of, if they had any sense, is a fighting force having put it off until there was nothing left to lose, but coming out dedicated to the eradication of their enemies as the only possible solution.

For whatever it might be worth—almost certain to be little or nothing—my own view is that a general, widespread military-style conflict as most people conceive of it is unlikely in the extreme, regardless of how severely the Country Class is provoked. Geo- and demographic realities militate against it, for one thing. Unlike in 1860, the two sides are NOT divided neatly into North and South; for the most part, Team Liberty and Team Tryanny live cheek-by-jowl. In CW v1.0, Johnny Reb in Charleston probably never met a Boston Bluebelly in his entire life personally, and didn’t know a single living soul who had. But today, your average Real American probably has a Kommie Karen or Ken for a next-door neighbor, with plenty more scattered around the neighborhood.

This situation tends to complicate things, as does the simple fact that, unlike in Olden Thymes, the average American middle-class schlub has precisely no (zip, zero, nada) military training or knowledge at all. Hell, most of ’em wouldn’t know the procedure for inserting a loaded mag and putting a semi-auto rifle into battery, much less be able to hit the broad side of a bull’s ass at 20 yards with it. And that’s under quiet, peaceable conditions with nobody shooting back at him. Under fire, his personal prospects would suddenly nosedive from “not too good” level down to “deader” immediately.

Admittedly, Karen and/or Ken next door viscerally LOATHE weaponry and all the other white-supremacist, misogynist, homophobic military-type trimmings that go along with revolution and war, making their odds of survival against even an all-thumbs suburban klutz even longer. So there’s that.

My own view, which shifts on the regular these days, is that if the current middling-temperature conflict ever DOES go full-on hot, the form it will most likely take will be sabotage, monkey-wrenchery, and shoot-and-scoot sniper activity, perhaps even scattered small-unit raids undertaken by people with the training and experience to pull it off. Don’t expect to see any mass-media reportage of any such things either, at least not in the beginning. Possibly not at all, unless the sabotaging and raiding become widespread and successful enough that even a press as heavily invested in the Deep State status quo as ours can no longer keep things swept neatly under the rug.

And once that line is crossed all hell breaks loose. Because the moment the idea sets in with Big Papa Gov’t that they might actually not be winning this thing after all, and their iron-fisted grip on an increasingly broad swathe of the subject-population might be loosening, the US military will be formally called to come out and play. Which also happens to be the moment when all bets are fully OFF—and, as Aesop has said, life as we’ve all known it is over for good, regardless of how things shake out in the end.

Which, of course, is not to say that Real Americans shouldn’t bother trying to regain their rightful liberty, nor to blanch at any and all means of securing it—should instead just swallow their pride, surrender their natural rights, and accept the ignominious destiny of oppression, dependency, and voiceless servitude intended for them. But it DOES help to explain the seeming reluctance of most Normals to take that last irreversible step into the unknown, don’t it? Hamlet wasn’t just whistling Dixie when he wondered:

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?

Ahh, the eternal question. Even the Founders cautioned against intemperance and recklessness:

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Every patriot must decide for himself—and soon—where he stands, what he believes. Do the Founders’ words of patience and restraint still apply? Or is the time now upon us when the words that follow them must be our guide?

Self-fulfilling prophecy

“We see you”? They don’t even seem to care anymore whether we do or not.

My own personal opinion has evolved—in a purely SCIENTIFICATIOUS!™ process, naturally—from Fauci should be fired, to Fauci should be prosecuted, to Fauci should be hung by the neck until he is dead, dead, DEAD.

Another look in

More on the outrageous and intolerable persecution-by-prosecution of an entirely blameless young man, Lucas Gerhard.

LSSU is something of an “aggie” college, with a large and respected criminal justice program. Still, as is the case for 99% of American colleges, it manages to have a “social justice and community activism” page as part of its campus life — although the link to that page is dead. One of LSSU’s leftist students, a young woman, frequently argued with Lucas, so much so that he blocked her on social media.

In the summer of 2019, Lucas bought himself an AR-15, which he brought to campus with him. At the time, he promptly followed school rules, checking his gun and ammunition in with the LSSU safety office. At around the same time, Lucas sent a private Snapchat joke to friends, showing a picture of his kitted-out rifle, with the message, “Takin’ this bad boy up, this outta [sic] make the snowflakes melt, aye?”  As if it wasn’t already clear that this was a joke, he added, “And I mean snowflakes as in snow.”

Two leftist students saw that image on a friend’s phone and took a picture of it. The young woman who fought with Lucas then used the Snapchat image to file a report with the police, claiming that Lucas was making threats.

When the police showed up, Lucas explained that he was just making a joke about people whose brains melted when they were faced with an opposing political ideology. Nevertheless, the police arrested him the next day and charged him with violating Michigan Penal Code §750.543, which governs making terrorist threats. Under the law, a person makes a terrorist threat if he “[t]hreatens to commit an act of terrorism and communicates the threat to any other person.” The penalty calls for up to twenty years in prison plus as much as $20,000 in fines.

During the pre-trial hearing, the prosecutor claimed that Lucas had multiple “contacts” with the law, which was a lie by omission. While campus leftists frequently tried to sic the police on Lucas, he was invariably found innocent of the charge against him. One example was when he wore his OCSO cadet uniform while carrying an authorized bag of police training gear to a lecture he was giving — another “threat.” There were no charges, nor were there charges when someone vandalized his car.

Even worse, during the pre-trial hearing, the prosecutor played a graphic video of the mosque shooting earlier that year in Christchurch, New Zealand. Faced with the prosecutor’s “evidence,” the court denied Lucas bond. Instead, he was sent to jail, where he spent 83 days, a problem for a Type I diabetic, before his father could bail him out. He’s been under complete house arrest ever since, with a $500/month tether and no access to education or the internet.

So why am I writing about this case? Because every conservative needs to understand that, while we’re still slack-jawed with disbelief and dismay about events in America in the last year, leftists at every level — the White House, Congress, statehouses, courts, prosecutors’ offices, colleges, and dormitories — are engaged in all-out war.

Bingo. Which only makes the very next sentence seem all the more odd. And, frankly, embarrassing.

If we are to avoid cultural, political, and constitutional defeat, we need to adopt their legal tactics: letter-writing campaigns, phone calls, non-violent protests…anything to raise the volume.

We most certainly do NOT, thenksveddymuch. The “justice” system is now just another wholly-owned subsidiary of Leftist Inc, having been co-opted and subsumed long ago, just as nearly every other important American organization and institution has. Appeals for justice made to offices and/or processes under complete Enemy control may make some of us feel better about their plight, if only for a brief spell. But such appeals—or entreaties, or supplication, to call things by their rightful names—won’t do a damned thing to halt a seemingly endless train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, that we all bear witness to each and every day.

Might as well ask the Tooth Fairy to flit in and save us while you’re down there on your knees begging. That’s about as likely to produce the desired outcome, and can’t be any more of a waste of time and effort.

Question everything

The imperative of our era.

There is no problem in the United States that could not be solved if we were still a nation of critical thinkers.  But critical thinking has been intentionally replaced by dogma.  Having a degree is not equivalent to having an education.  Knowing something is not the same as understanding it.  In a world saturated with information, the “key” to distinguishing between truth and falsehood is one question, one word: “why?”

Why should schools and companies discriminate based on skin color? Why should my race say more about me than my brain? Why is it okay for federal immigration law to be ignored while federal tax laws must be obeyed? Why are Americans who defend the Constitution treated as domestic terrorists? Why are Americans who burn down cities treated as heroes? Why does every “solution” to climate change involve the expansion of government powers and the contraction of personal liberties? Why must the government police speech in order to keep it free? Why must government disarm citizens in order to keep them safe? Why is the government so afraid of the people that it must spy on them at all times? Why is it no longer “our government,” but rather the government?

Are those questions dangerous in a “free” society? Of course not. They lead to discussion, which leads to debate, which leads to contemplation, which leads to greater understanding, which creates a more perceptive mind, a more capable American, and a more complete human being. When government deems some questions subversive, it is admitting that it no longer represents the people, but rather rules over them. And any public school system that replaces the tools necessary for developing critical thinking skills with rigid indoctrination countenancing no dissent is producing not healthy citizens, but useful slaves.

The great philosopher George Carlin used to say, “Don’t just teach your children to read[.]…Teach them to question what they read. Teach them to question everything.” That’s how real learning is done — in the trenches with one hand on a flashlight searching for knowledge and the other gripping a shovel, digging up the oft-buried truth. Carlin also knew that when it comes to truth, governments cannot be trusted: “I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me.” If more Americans could learn this simple principle, our society would be in a much better place. Free people with free minds do not need politicians to do their thinking for them.

The science is settled? The time for debate is over? Never. Only people interested in stealing your agency and capturing your soul say such things. It is our capacity for reason that makes each of us distinct and our distinctive qualities that make each human life individually valuable. When government deems individual minds unnecessary, then individual lives become disposable. That’s when governments do great evil.

Ahh, but what about when government deems individual minds not just unnecessary, but an active, credible threat to their own designs? What’s to be done about government then?

Life in the USSSA

The United Soviet Socialist States of Amerika, that would be. Not to be confused—not EVER, not on your life—with the FUSA.

Lucas Gerhard is a 21-year-old man. Instead of celebrating his graduation from Lake Superior State University in Sault St. Marie, MI, in the criminal justice field and looking for a job in law enforcement, Lucas is locked down in his father’s home, wearing an ankle bracelet.

Probably a good thing, getting this dangerous criminal off the streets, don’tcha think? I mean, I’m confident this young punk is a menace to his community, and to all right-thinking, decent Americans, right?

Lucas is an Eagle Scout and has no criminal record.

Oh. Well. Hrm.

Okay, at this point I think it only right to warn all CF lifers afflicted by high blood pressure or heart problems: from here on out, I personally guar-on-tee that this bag o’ dicks is gonna REALLY piss y’all off.

During his trial, the prosecutor attempted to paint Lucas as a threat to the school community, claiming that he had numerous “contacts” with Law Enforcement at LSSU.

Lucas’s father explained: “The so-called ‘contacts’ were made as a result of more anonymous calls to LSSU public safety, and an incident where Lucas’s car was vandalized and his rear window smashed out! Not a single one of those was what can be considered a negative or derogatory incident.  An example of one incident where a call was made was when Lucas was in his OCSO cadet uniform and carrying a bag of police training gear across campus to his communications class where he was giving a speech in law enforcement methods. The call was made as soon as he exited his dorm. The police were apparently told by the caller that they felt threatened by seeing Lucas when they saw him carrying riot gear. Note that LSSU is a school where a large majority of students are Criminal Justice majors! But Sault St. Marie police officers actually responded and pulled Lucas out of the classroom WHILE HE WAS GIVING HIS SPEECH to question him. His professor came out and told the officers that Lucas’s speech was pre-approved as well as the props he brought. The report noted that his explanation was accepted and no further action taken. I might add that every other time something like this happened, the result was the same. No action taken, either from Law Enforcement nor the College. The level of harassment Lucas endured there was astonishing.”

Lucas’s real crime was being an unashamed conservative college student.

The story we are about to tell you is truly one of the most remarkable cases of injustice you will ever read. It’s a story of how easily two intolerant, liberal students, with the help of the police, school administrators, and an overly zealous prosecutor, can cancel the life of a young man, all while trampling on his First and Second Amendment Rights.

Incredibly, unbelievably enough, that’s only the beginning of this bona fide horrorshow. It gets even worse.

Anybody out there whose initial response was to mutter something along the lines of “can’t happen here” is hereby strongly advised to wake the fuck up and smell what the Wokester commie ratbags are cooking. STRONGLY. Read the rest, if you can stand to. Mention is made of “making the snowflakes melt,” although Lucas was careful to aver to Johnny Law that it was actually “a reference to liberals whose brains ‘melt’ when faced with something or someone who expresses an opposing political ideology.”

Let me be the first to fling caution to the winds and state outright that it’s way past time some snowflakes were made to melt for real, physically and literally, by bringing the fires of Hell itself to bear on their sorry, smarmy asses. Before it’s too late, and they can no longer be stopped.

Totally, totally unacceptable, this is.

I will not comply

And you Vaxx Nazis can go fuck yourselves.

Bloomberg Columnist: We May Have To Force People To Get Vaccinated

You can try, certainly. Let’s see how that works out for you in the end.

So much for “my body, my choice.” The authoritarianism of Michael Bloomberg and his flunkies is on full display in a new column at the anti-gun billionaire’s personal news network, where columnist Clara Ferreira Marques argues that personal choice and responsibility should take a back seat to government coercion and brute force when it comes to vaccines.

Sticking a needle in people’s arms against their will may be “unpalatable,” says Marques, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t happen if large numbers of Americans refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccine on their own.

Full compulsion — which implies fines or even prison, as opposed to simply not getting a benefit or public service — isn’t easily embraced. For me, that’s less because of arguments around personal liberty than because of the deep polarization in many societies, including the U.S., that would only worsen with such an approach. More importantly, some reasons deterring people from vaccinations — distrust of health or political authorities, or more pressing medical or shelter problems — deserve to be tackled, not papered over.

Why am I not shocked that the argument around personal liberty isn’t compelling to a Bloomberg lackey like Marques?

Seeing as how the authoritarian Left is not only indifferent to personal liberty but actively, virulently hostile to it, how shocked could anybody be? JD Rucker calls it a cult.

The mentality surrounding the Covid-19 vaccines is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. On one level, it’s easy to understand why people would be willing to do just about anything to relieve their fear, financial distress, emotional hardships, and longing for normalcy. On the other hand, why are so many who claim to “follow the science” willing to ignore the science behind these injections?

What we’re seeing is the rise of the Vaccine Cultists. They have made it part of their daily lives to “do their part” in making sure every human being on the planet is injected with a Covid-19 vaccine of some sort. From their perspective, it’s all about making it ubiquitous.

Let’s make a clear delineation between “Vaccine Cultists” and basic pro-vaxxers. If you got your shots and you’re going about your business feeling secure that you’re protected, not worrying about whether others around you are also vaccinated, you’re just a basic pro-vaxxer and while I disagree with your choice, I hold no ill feelings towards you.

If you’re out there promoting the vaccines, begging or demanding friends and family get theirs, asking people who are in close proximity to you if they’ve been vaccinated, calling on your workplace to mandate vaccines, going on social media to attack Covid-vaccine-skeptics, or getting tattoos to commemorate your inoculation date, then you’re a Vaccine Cultist.

To be clear, I’m not an anti-vaxxer per se. I believe in the science behind vaccines and while I’ve chosen to generally avoid them, you won’t find me out there saying much about it before 2021. I’ve always been a vaccine-freedom guy. If you want your vaccine, take your vaccine. If you don’t want it, don’t take it. But the rise of the massive propaganda campaign to get as many people injected as possible combined with the inception of the Vaccine Cult have turned me into a vocal opponent of the Covid vaccines altogether. As many have tried to say repeatedly, these “vaccines” are completely different from anything that has ever been mass distributed in the world. Dr. Sherri Tenpenny lambasted me for calling them “vaccines” at all, and she’s right. They’re simply not, though Merriam-Webster Dictionary tried hard to make them so.

I’m also not one who thinks Covid-19 is just a bad flu. I do believe it is very dangerous for the elderly and those with major health issues. I also know that there are otherwise healthy people who were hit hard by Covid-19; my kid’s doctor said he felt like a freight train hit him for a week. I do not downplay the disease other than to note that for children and young adults, the chances of it being fatal are minimal.

JD goes quite a bit further out of his way than I consider absolutely necessary in order to present his thoughts in a calm, reasonable fashion. For my own part, I ain’t gonna bother. It’s like this:

Never

Just you come and get me, you filthy bastards—if you think you’re big enough, and can round up enough help. I solemnly promise you that I won’t be taken down easily…and that I DO NOT consider violent resistance to be off the table.

Update! Only just saw that I forgot to include a link to the JD Rucker piece, which can be found here. Apologies to all for the omission.

How liberty is lost

It’s always a mistake to accept their premises.

Last week, the Centers for Disease Control did an about-face, announcing that the fully vaccinated among us may resume normal activities. The news came more than a year after California initiated the first lockdown on March 19, 2020.

The CDC’s new posture comes with some narrow exceptions. If you’re traveling on a plane or find yourself in a homeless shelter or in a medical or correctional facility, you still need to wear a mask; and the CDC made sure to clarify, apparently out of great deference for federalism and Hayekian spontaneous order, that its guidance does not predominate over the requirements of federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.

Before the CDC updated its pandemic guidance, this was exactly the position espoused by libertarian law professor Ilya Somin of George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia School of Law. Writing from his regular perch at the legal blog The Volokh Conspiracy, Somin’s argument is summarized nicely in the subheading of his piece, “Free the Vaccinated from COVID Restrictions”: “Doing so will protect constitutional rights, reduce vaccine hesitancy, and increase liberty—all at once.”

The CDC’s shift undoubtedly is a welcome development, all things considered. But people like Somin could not be more misguided in supporting it as a matter of best practice. In doing so, they ratify a pernicious principle that has the potential to destroy our long-term freedom. Instead of reasoning from first principles, Somin works from within a techno-scientific, experts-know-best framework that, unsurprisingly, constrains his thinking and directs him to validate the public health bureaucracy’s authority and priorities. One need only examine what accepting the totality of the CDC’s guidance would truly mean to see the short-sightedness of Somin’s position.

That the CDC, or any other institution, would presume to strip us of our God-given natural liberty to buy groceries or see a play or play with our children in a park, all in the name of some dubious goal of “public health,” and then purport to “return” our rights—but only if we jump through a vaccine-related hoop—is a grievous affront to the salutary legal revolution brought on by the birth of America that Jaffa identified. We are being ordered to accept the submerged premise of the CDC’s new position, namely, that we are free to do only what the government explicitly permits us to do. Sadly, a great many Americans are only too willing to comply.

It is deeply shameful that we let a virus with a roughly 1.8 percent death rate upend completely our society’s habits, customs, practices, mores, and ways of thinking about the interaction of law and liberty and the legitimate domain and reach of each. (Recall that SARS had a 14-15 percent death rate, and we did not feel compelled to shut down the country for over a year.)

Actually, it wasn’t a virus that did it. The Left was allowed to “upend our thinking about liberty” many decades ago, transitioning (ahem) far too many of us from stout, indendent citizens to simpering dependents content to suckle at Mommy Government’s flabby teat forever. After that “fundamental transformation” was accomplished, pulling off the Covid coup de grace was simplicity itself, practically a fait accompli.

A virus of the mind

Doc Z explains why Zombie Communism won’t ever just lie down and stay dead.

Conservatives of my generation made the terrible mistake of believing Marxism was fatally discredited with the fall of the Soviet Union, and only a few aging freaks in campus faculty still took it seriously. We weren’t ready for the next wave of the mind-virus and its variants.

It was an easy mistake to make. How could people cling to an ideology that spread death, poverty, and failure around the world, once its primary nation-state supporter lay in ruins – its claims of success across the decades exposed as lies, its victims celebrating their freedom?

How could so many people ignore the hideous history of Marxism and continue to believe THIS time it will work, THIS time all the bugs have been ironed out, THIS time the right people are finally in charge? Forgive my generation for thinking the horror was finally over.

Marxism persists because it IS a virus. It was designed that way – give the old devil and his disciples credit for being ahead of the curve in realizing that an ideology could be custom-tailored to propagate itself endlessly, without needing any nourishment from success.

Every single aspect of Marxist theory is designed to protect and perpetuate the ideology no matter how badly it fails, most notably including the elements of every Marxist ideology that justify the use of violence against those who threaten it, or refuse to submit to its demands.

An ideology that asserts dissent from its principles in good faith is impossible – making dissent a sin punishable by loss of rights, confiscation of property, imprisonment, torture, or death – is well on its way to insulating itself against any degree of objective failure.

The most viral element of Marxism, the DNA that carries over into all its mutations, is the elimination of individual responsibility – the promise of “justice” and “entitlement” achieved through collective power. Every strain of Marxism tells adherents they have been exploited.

This is reflected in the core economic assumption of Marxism: capitalism “exploits” workers and “steals” the value of their labor. All of Marxism’s misery and bloody horror, all of the failure and brutal civil warfare it spreads through societies it infects, flows from this idea.

Never again should any defender of freedom underestimate the seductive viral appeal of these ideas, especially to young minds. Marxism is a vision of society run like a big family. It appeals to kids from good families…and those who desperately WISH they had good families.

Marxism flatters envy and transforms it into a virtue. It offers a regimented vision of society that appears logical once its (entirely false) basic premises are accepted. It claims to makes sense of a senseless and unjust world – very appealing to the young and alienated.

Most importantly, Marxism lifts the burden of individual responsibility from its acolytes. “Socializing” costs and consequences, classifying all misfortune as “exploitation,” dividing people into static classes at war with each other – it all says nothing is YOUR fault.

Every strain of Marxism tells its victims that they can never hope to find success, fairness, justice, equity – whatever euphemism becomes fashionable after the old ones wear out – on their own.

Gee, sounds exactly like what Democrat-Socialists have told American Nigras for years and years now, so as to keep them forever on the Donk plantation, almost word for word. Pure coinkydink, I’m guessing.

But I must remind one and all that, contra the general assumption, Marxism has NOT “failed every time it’s been tried.” Sure, it hasn’t worked—CANNOT work—according to the usual definition for the word. But as Hayward’s essay tacitly confirms, that’s predicated on a premise that is false. As I argued the other night, our metric for what constitutes success and failure must be recalibrated, putting ourselves back in line with the stark reality that Marxism has enjoyed an unbroken string of successes when it comes to realizing the true goals of the despots who implement and then rule under it. I repeat: it all depends on what the meaning of “success” is.

Mistakes were made

Vox runs down a few of the most costly ones.

I don’t know why President Trump failed to publicly uphold the law and the Constitution when he was confronted with massive election fraud. Given all of the various anomalies we’ve witnessed since January, I don’t even know who is actually calling the shots in the United States. But while I still assert that Donald Trump was the greatest US president since Andrew Jackson, what I do know is that he also doesn’t merit any sympathy whatsoever from his supporters for his current post-presidential persecutions.

First, Trump betrayed – yes, betrayed – his supporters when he completely failed to address, much less crack down upon, the social media companies who were systematically attacking them. As someone who was “suspended” from Twitter six years ago, I’m completely unmoved by conservatives belatedly crying about their own recent suspensions and deplatformings. This could have, and should have, been dealt with by President Trump back in 2016, and his failure to do so was a massive strategic mistake that was obvious at the time.

If you won’t fight for your followers, don’t expect them to fight for you.

Second, it was always obvious to everyone that the witch-hunting that started before President Trump even took office was going to continue the moment that he left office. And no matter what agreements were agreed, only a complete idiot would have placed any confidence in the various parties that make up the Deep State all keeping them.

As I repeatedly pointed out during his presidency, President Trump’s fundamental weakness is that he is a negotiator, not a fighter. Which means, at the end of the day, he’s always going to cave and take the best deal that he thinks he can get. While we don’t know that’s what happened after the events of November 3, 2020, it wouldn’t be even remotely surprising to eventually learn that Trump took the best deal he thought he could get at the time in lieu of crossing the Rubicon.

I still maintain that among the most damaging and confounding of Trump’s mistakes—or failures, even betrayals, depending on one’s point of view—was his choice to not only retain so many Ogabe stay-behinds, but to appoint and/or hire Swamp creatures for posts from whence they could wage all-out bureaucratic war against him and the MAGA agenda. Just leaving Chris Wray in place as head of a transparently hostile FBI—another disastrous Trump hire, mind—to wreak havoc with total impunity was probably enough all by itself to guarantee Trump’s undoing.

Considered all together, Trump’s piss-poor showing in some of the self-same aspects of the job he should’ve been best at, given his past competence and success in those departments, is beyond baffling, almost bizarre. Enough so, in fact, that I’m beginning to wonder whether the Left’s scornful assessment of the man’s intelligence might not have been nearer the mark than my own.

Trump as a trusting naif who quickly found himself in way over his head when he rolled up his sleeves and tried to make good on his promise to drain the Swamp just doesn’t quite compute for me. His whole life had been spent bare-knuckle brawling in the cutthroat NYC real-estate market, coping with ruthless competitors and sleazy local and state ProPols who, if their power was somewhat less broad and encompassing as their bigger DC brothers, was still far from negligible. Is it really plausible that Trump, with his vast experience rasslin’ ‘gators in NYC, would suddenly forget everything he’d learned when he came up against somewhat-larger ones after making the move to Mordor On The Potomac?

It’s not easy for me to think so, I must say. Whatever the case may be, if Trump doesn’t get a clue on the PDQ and wake the fuck up to certain ugly realities, OrangeManBad is gonna find himself rockin’ orange before long. The writing, as in so many other contexts, is on the wall.

New York AG’s Office says its probe of the Trump Organization is now ‘criminal’ and will work with Manhattan DA Cy Vance in his ongoing fraud investigation
New York’s attorney general is now investigating the Trump Organization for criminal offenses, it emerged on Tuesday night.

The office, led by Letitia James, had been investigating the company for civil tax offenses since early 2019. but the investigation has now escalated.

‘We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the Organization is no longer purely civil in nature,’ said Fabien Levy, a spokesman for the office.

‘We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA.’

The district attorney’s office, led by Cyrus Vance, has been investigating possible criminal tax fraud since 2018.

A person familiar with the investigation told CNN that several investigators with the James’s office, who are considered experts on the Trump Organization, have joined Vance’s team.

The notice from James’s office was sent in late April to attorneys for the Trump Organization, The Washington Post said.

If Trump thinks himself untouchable or impervious, that they “can’t” do this or they “wouldn’t” do that, he’s a damned fool. The Enemy has a larger point to make here, about what will surely happen to any and every other pugnacious outsider who would dare to invade their turf seeking to bring down the Barad-Dur. Whether he knows it or not, they will NOT be content with merely removing him. They mean to destroy him utterly, to make an example of him that won’t soon be forgotten—a direct warning that will endure for every bit as long as their illegitimate kleptocracy itself does.

At this point, the best thing Donald Trump could do for himself and his family is to wake up to current reality; recognize that America That Was is lost forever, and was years ago; abandon his honest patriotism and love of country; and flee to the extradition-proof Caribbean island you just know he already owns to sit back on a sandy beach to enjoy a frosty-cool margarita and cock his snook at his tormentors back in Amerika v2.0 for the rest of his days.

All part of a Plan, and the Plan is working as intended

Working very damned well, in fact.

There are a lot of unprecedented things happening, but not all of them are shocking. For example, it probably shouldn’t surprise you that, once they got their hands on real power, the same lunatics who don’t believe in human biology immediately made a serious mess of our economy. It took them less than six months to do it. First, they acted like the U.S. dollar had no value. They spent money like they’d just printed it for the occasion, which, needless to say, they had. Predictably, we wound up with frightening levels of inflation, which for the record they still deny exists. But inflation does exist, as you well know if you live here. Corn prices, to name just one example of a staple commodity that’s now out of control, have risen by 50 percent just since January. But that wasn’t bad enough. The lunatics decided to make it worse. They paid millions of Americans more than they make at work, to stay home and do nothing. To justify doing this, they used the word “COVID” quite a bit, but it had nothing to do with the pandemic. They just wanted to break the system. And so they did. And the rest of us immediately wound up with a bewildering combination of rising unemployment in the middle of a severe labor shortage. So, at the very same time, we found ourselves with too many workers, and also too few workers. That doesn’t even make sense, but thanks to their policies, that’s now exactly what we have. And then, finally, in case 2021 didn’t remind you enough of a grimmer version of the 1970s, we now have serious gas shortages, in a country that just recently was energy independent. All along the east coast of the country today, people couldn’t fill up their cars. The footage looks like Venezuela.

What is this about? Well, you know. On some level — let’s be honest about it — the White House approves of this disaster.

Yes, some gas stations are closed tonight. But soon enough, the lunatics plan to close them all — every gas station in the entire United States, shuttered forever, to make way for some new, as-yet-undefined means of transportation that will magically replace the gasoline engines we’ve used for more than 100 years. This is a green revolution. So who cares about some old pipeline?

Remember that on his first day in office, Joe Biden shut down a pipeline, that’s the first thing he did. It was the massive Keystone XL. Biden didn’t wait for mysterious hackers to shut it down. He shut it down himself. And more than 11,000 people lost their jobs. And, by the way, gas prices went up. In case you haven’t noticed, gas prices have never gone down.

Why? This is the result of policy decisions made by the new administration. This is the Green New Deal. We’ve got it already. And if you love gas shortages and electricity blackouts and $80 plywood, this is the program for you.

Typically, in the material world, where the laws of nature apply when the price of something jumps that quickly and that high, you’ve got a supply problem. Because it’s supply and demand. There isn’t enough of that thing to go around. Does that apply to lumber? Are there fewer spruce trees out there than there were a year ago? Are those trees growing more slowly than they once did? Have we seen a 280% in new houses being built? The answers: no, no and no. The answer, as you may have guessed, is that bad federal policies are distorting the price of everything in this country, from two by fours, to diesel fuel to corn dogs. None of this is an accident. Just as it wasn’t an accident when the power went out in Texas over the winter. It wasn’t a cold snap that did it, it was a federal policy that encouraged the state to rely on windmills that don’t actually work. So, it’s not a natural cycle. Somebody did this to us on purpose.

It’s “bad national policy” all right, but exclusively in the sense that it’s a policy that is bad for the nation. But there’s another sense to be taken into account: bad as it is, damaging as it is, it is also effective policy—because the bad things it’s doing, that damage, is the effect the policy was intended to produce.

Over time my reaction has evolved from amusement, to mild pique, to being outright annoyed when I see references to this or that putatively “failed” Democrat-Socialist policy, program, or initiative. The same blinkered narrative is applied to describe Marxism itself, which “fails every time it’s tried,” or so we’re endlessly told—as if the sole ambition of its advocates and administrators is to see to it that all are adequately fed, housed, and liberated from servitude and want. Bless their selfless, charitable hearts, Marxists just want to make sure that both the high and mighty and the downtrodden alike are fairly treated. That the State meets its obligation to ensure that avarice can never be wielded as a cudgel by one man in the bludgeoning of his brother. That all resources are equitably distributed.

Sorry, but…no. Whatever Karl Marx’s own notion might have been originally, Communism as we know it today is usually pretty danged good at achieving its true imperatives: untrammeled power and wealth for the ruthless few at the top of the heap, hopeless subjugation without mercy or surcease for the hapless serfs below.

The truth is that Communism, as well as the machinations of its Democrat-Socialist Party adherents, actually succeeds every time it’s tried. Understanding that is a matter of realizing what their ACTUAL goals and intentions are, and ignoring what they SAY they are—ie, “success” isn’t anything to do with uplifting, assisting, or liberating anybody, other than members of the Ruling Class kleptocracy—and then adjusting your own perceptions accordingly. Or, to adapt the famous words of another notorious latter-day Marxist, it all depends on what the meaning of “success” is. Once you’ve recalibrated your terms and definitions properly, it’s all perfectly obvious.

Had enough of them yet?

FOAD, you corrupt, lying, kiddie-diddling, senile old rapist.

Speaking from the Rose Garden today at the White House, President Joe Biden celebrated the new guidelines issued by the CDC lifting mask requirements for people who are fully vaccinated, crediting his administration’s vaccination program with dramatically reducing the impact of the coronavirus.

Biden declared, “The rule is very simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do. The choice is yours,” later tweeting out these words as well.

Izzat so, NotMyPresident Gropey? Well, here’s a counteroffer for you.

I:

  • WILL do exactly as I please, as usual, without reference to or regard for your own opinion or preferences
  • WILL NOT be wearing a fucking mask
  • WILL go wherever I want, whenever I want
  • WILL NOT allow myself to be shot up with your precious “vaccine,” under any circumstances whatsoever
  • WILL ignore all edicts, decrees, commands, and imperatives from the likes of you
  • WILL ridicule you; defy you; oppose and/or undermine you, your minions, and all your works; and hold you in profoundest contempt till my dying breath

YOU:

  • WILL NOT be able to successfully and safely negotiate a short flight of stairs
  • WILL babble incomprehensibly into the microphone the second the drugs begin to wear off
  • WILL NOT be entirely sure of who you are, where you are, and what you’re doing ever again, for the rest of your miserable life
  • WILL forever remain not—as you may flatter yourself in your increasingly-few lucid moments—”the leader of the free world,” but an international laughingstock, butt of jokes and object of scorn and ridicule among your fellow bottom-feeders, rumpswabs, and parasites
  • WILL NOT enjoy a moment’s respect, deference, or obedience from me—ever
  • WILL continue to publicly beclown yourself on a daily basis

So howzabout it there, Gropester? We got ourselves a deal here or what? In the event that we do not, please feel free to go piss up a rope.

“The rule is.” My GOD, the balls on these slimewads.
