Le mots juste

Precision, people. In language, as in all things.

When You Think of Joe Biden Is ‘Swagger’ Really the First Word That Comes to Mind?

Not hardly. Not first, nor last, nor anyplace betwixt. I doubt I could ever GET that sloppy drunk, honestly, even back in my heyday for such things. Not for lack of capacity or will, mind; the spirit(s) is willing, though the flesh be weak. It’s just that there ain’t that much liquor on the entire planet.

We went four years without glossy magazine covers trying to puff up the image of the sitting president. And no magazine ever featured our former first lady, an actual fashion model, either. The Bidens have now graced several, but this may be the most absurd. GQ Hype in the U.K. gave President Biden a fashion spread that is just….gag-worthy. The cover reads “Joe Biden, Swagger-in-Chief!” with a picture of the president LARPing Garth Brooks sitting on the tailgate of a vintage pick-up truck, complete with a few bottles of Budweiser at his side:

This magazine is trying to turn a septuagenarian from Delaware with cognitive issues into a heartthrob. Really? Swagger?

Stagger is a lot more like it. They were closer than you might think, actually; they only flubbed it by the one letter. In a sense, though, this embarrassing rumpswabbery is an entirely fitting thing. The fluffer-girls at GQ stitched up a phony image promoting one of the biggest phonies ever to occupy space actual humans might require for other, more useful purposes. They’re propping up a prop, creating a character for a man bereft of any. You don’t get more fitting than that.

Additionally, there’s GQ Hype itself to consider. I mean, could there possibly BE a magazine more appropriately named? C’MON, MAN!!!

Hope they put Dress-Up Joe into a Spiderman costume next. Or maybe do Gene Simmons, of KISS. I think that would be pretty cool.

Mail-order degeneracy

There’s an app for that.

This app lets you order hormone blockers so you can gender reassign without ever having to see an in-person doc or shrink
Ordering invasive drugs that alter your body in permanent ways is easier now than ever thanks to a new service called Plume.

Plume seeks to help you “live your authentic life” by getting rid of yucky red tape like psychologists and doctors that might warn you about the side effects of hormone blockers.

Oh, and should you need a medical letter of support in order to remove unwanted organs from your body, all you have to do is pony up $150.

Whatever the patient wants, the patient gets! As Plume says, they be “cheering you on every step of the way.”

Generation X, Gen Z, Millenials, Schmillenials—it’s all about the D-Generation now, baby. Which calls for a tune from some old NYC buds of mine.

What they voted for

Good. And. Hard.

LayoffLetter.jpg

Don’t know if it’s for real or not. But I desperately hope that it is.

Next, it would take a heart of stone not to laugh:

WelpLostMyJob.jpg

Heh. That delicate, far-off sound you’re straining to hear is the world’s smallest violin as it plays Hearts And Flowers, expressing my sympathy level for all China Joe-voting idiots suddenly waxing all stunned and dismayed at getting PRECISELY what they voted for. Enjoy your palatial new Tent Homes in a Fauciville near you, assholes.

Speaking of Faucivilles: some of y’all may already know that I’ve spent almost my entire adult life supplementing my perennially pitiful income as a professional writer. The overwhelming majority of my work over lo, these many years has been political essays, with the occasional history- or music-related article, celebrity interview, or random humor piece sprinkled in here and there just to stave off the monotony. I even tried my hand at an autobiographical novel a few years back, at the insistence of several good friends and relatives. I managed to get a bit under three chapters into the thing before having to admit I was in way over my head and giving it up as a bad job.

Oh, and then there was my stint writing porn “letters to the editor” for various Bob Guccione periodicals, about which the less said etc. Who knows, though; I might just decide to do a tell-all about that someday too. Turns out there’s a lot to tell, surprisingly enough. I got that gig via the influence and connections of my dear departed brother Chris Pfouts, another pro scribe who also happened to be one of the best damned writers I’ve even been fortunate enough to know personally.

On my arduous journey through the killing thickets of writerdom I’ve commited one (count ’em, 1) act of true, honest tp goodness journalism—available for perusal using the Leatherballs menu link above;the Myrtle Beach Goodbye piece, should you be at all interested—back when I was working for Outlaw Biker. Now I’ve decided to embark on a second foray into the treacherous toils of Real Journalism, chronicling the incredible blossoming of one of those Fauciville tent-cities becoming increasingly familiar in decrepit urban shitholes all across the “nation.”

It started at the triangle-shaped island where Church Street splits off from southbound North Tryon, which suddenly became host to a small encampment of around fifteen or twenty tents just a few months back. From there the disgusting, garbage-strewn atrocities have multiplied, now engulfing very nearly every last square inch of available ground on the northern quadrant of downtown Charlotte.

Having worked for many years in the downtown CLT area, the sight of homeless sidewalk-dwellers is nothing new to me. But I have never, ever seen anything remotely like this. And it’s by no means the filthy stewbums, crackheads, and mentally-disturbed wretches, mostly Negroes, that we’ve all become familiar with. I know of at least one young-ish white woman with two small children in tow out there too, her overall appearance disheveled but not downright grungy…yet. I’m seeing a rapidly increasing number of others who are similarly outside the bounds of familiar stereotype, looking more like shell-shocked recent arrivals rather than the irretrievably dysfunctional habitues of the shelters and street grates.

What I’m NOT seeing is any local media coverage of this mind-boggling surge of homelessness, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody. “Growing armies of the homeless” media pity-parties, after all, only come along to monopolize tee-wee “news” broadcasts and newspapers when there’s a Republican in the White House. They’re like those old “Grim milestone” body count tallies that were ubiquitous back when “journalists” had Dubya the Genocidal Chimperor’s neck to hang ’em around; maybe you noticed how, despite launching deadly military adventures of every stripe so long as there was no perceivable US interest at stake, the Ogabe junta nonetheless found itself unburdened by the kind of saturation coverage used to hound and hinder his hapless predecessor. Probably just coincidence, I’m sure.

If you want something done, you gotta do it yourself, I suppose. So first chance I get over the next cpl-three days, I’ma go take a few photos of the wreckage. From a distance, that is; I don’t plan on interviewing any of the residents, since what folks used to quaintly call “hobo jungles” are known for being veritable petri dishes for the cultivation of exotic, fatal diseases, as well as the random knifings, rapes, beatings, and sundry mayhem common therein—none of which I have any desire to be subjected to. I’ll get the pics and write a little something up for posting in another day or two.

First gradually, then all at once

Off to the races.

If you think we’re headed into a transhuman nirvana of continuous tech-assisted orgasm, social equity, and guaranteed basic income, you are going to be disappointed. Our actual destination is a neo-medieval time-out from all the techno-dazzle of recent decades. It’s not as bad as you might think. The human project will continue at a lower pitch, probably for a good long while, but minus most of the comforts and conveniences we’re used to, and with very different social arrangements. You can waste your energy hand-wringing and wailing over all this, or summon the fortitude to go where history is taking us and make something of it.

The old economy is wrecked. Many Americans already know this because they’ve lost their businesses and their livelihoods. What used to be there isn’t coming back. But there will always be ways to make yourself useful providing things and services that other people need, just not within the crumbling armature of the economy we’re leaving behind. There will be a lot of debris left in the way to overcome, especially the crap we’ve smeared all over the landscape.

One business you can begin to organize right now is a salvage industry, sorting out the reusable components of all that crap — the steel I-beams, the aluminum trusses and sashes, plate glass, concrete blocks, copper and PVC pipe, and dimensional lumber. A lot of this stuff we just won’t be making anymore, certainly not at the former scale. Think of all the shopping malls to be disassembled.

Growing food and getting it to markets is the most critical activity. Poor Bill Gates, addled by his fortune, has bought up something like a quarter-million acres of farmland. His grandiosity prompts him to believe he can organize farming on the super-giant scale — Walmart for corn and turnips. Nothing could be further from the real coming trend: a reduction of scale and scope of farming and of the distribution supply lines that serve it. Poor Bill doesn’t seem to realize that the oil-and-gas-based “inputs” (fertilizers, pesticides) won’t be there for him, nor will the million-dollar diesel-powered combines. Nor the trucking industry. He could do more good for mankind getting into the mule business. (He won’t. Lacks razzle-dazzle.)

Ahh, but mightn’t there be a bright side to all this misery nonetheless? A-yup, there just might.

For those perhaps not paying attention, Covid-19 has destroyed what remains of education, especially the public school system. It was already moribund, waiting to crash, reduced to a pension racket for teachers. Going forward, the money won’t be there to operate these giant centralized schools and their yellow buses (while paying out pensions). The virus has kick-started exactly the kind of home-schooling pod system (several families combining) that can be reorganized into small-scale schooling for people who want it. People who don’t want it can move into their future without knowing how to read or do arithmetic. We’ll finally get a good test of the noble savage hypothesis. As for the colleges and universities, their business models are toast. They’ll be downscaling and shuttering as far ahead as the eye can see. Whatever remains will be more like finishing schools for neo-medieval ladies and gentlemen — and, by the way, the distinction between men and women will be reestablished. Why? Because reality insists on it. There will be plenty of work for former professors of Intersectionality in the sorghum fields.

Hard work too, back-breaking work, from cain’t see to cain’t see, as real farmers used to say. I do so look forward to said professors collapsing en masse, great windrows of them, out in those killing fields: doughy bodies atremble, pasty faces empurpled, fragile psyches undone by the awful sight of actual dirt under their fingernails.

Gonna need more popcorn over here

Wherever HL Mencken’s eternal soul is resting these days (or roasting, as the case may be), you can almost hear the crusty old curmudgeon roaring with laughter.

Suffer, bitches. As Mencken said: Good. And. HARD. Mo’ bettah just deserts:

Several unions that eagerly endorsed President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election are now learning the hard way what it means to support Democrat policies.

During his first day in office, the newly-inaugurated president revoked the construction permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline, thus destroying thousands of jobs.

And not just any jobs — but union jobs.

TC Energy Corp., the Canadian company that shares ownership of the pipeline with the Alberta government, had estimated that 10,000 jobs — in addition to the 1,000 already established — would be created in 2021 alone thanks to the construction of the pipeline.

In response, several once unabashedly pro-Trump unions lashed out.

“In revoking this permit, the Biden Administration has chosen to listen to the voices of fringe activists instead of union members and the American consumer on Day 1,” Mark McManus, the president of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters said in a statement Thursday.

“Sadly, the Biden Administration has now put thousands of union workers out of work. For the average American family, it means energy costs will go up and communities will no longer see the local investments that come with pipeline construction.”

But the problem is that the union endorsed Biden last year and repeatedly promoted his agenda.

You were warned; it’s not as if Biden made any secret of his plan to kill off the oil bidness, along with several other entire sectors of bedrock American industry. Now you’re all weepy and butthurt, so shocked are you all to see a goddamned Commiecrat behaving in precisely the same destructive, economy-killing fashion they have been for decades now.

Sucks to be you, cupcake. You dumb shits made a bed of nails for the entire country. Now you get to lie in it beside the rest of us. Serves you right, say I. Once again: suffer, bitches. I sincerely hope you savor every last second of the pain and hardship you heedlessly, needlessly brought down on not just your own empty fucking heads, but everybody else’s too.

Idiots.

PRO TIP: losing ain’t winning

What he said.

Has anybody but me noticed this odd dichotomy floating around the Right-o-sphere? Trump is doomed to lose his office in the most blatant epic of criminal fraud in American history, but boy, howdy, we’re gonna win.

Because reasons.

Once Trump is gone, I don’t think we win. I think we all lose, because the rickety building is on fire and about to collapse, taking all of us down with it.

History does not teach that the good guys win because they are good. Democracy, or even the modified form of it our Republic supposedly represents, is not a guaranteed victor. In fact, tyranny is more the rule than liberty over the vast sweep of history.

Generations Theory says that the United States of America is facing an existential crisis. That means that our very existence as a nation is on the line. If the theory turns out to be accurate,  we obviously have not yet reached the crisis, because we are still holding together as the united states, no matter how divided we may be on an internal basis.

Once you see that begin to change, whether by secession, rebellion, civil war, or hostile foreign action, you will know we have reached the crux of the matter. And I’m not going to blow smoke up your ass and tell you we are guaranteed to survive that crisis because we are America. History tells us there are no such guarantees, and frankly, from my vantage point our culture is so rotted out at its very foundations, and so damaged in innumerable other ways, including the fiber of our citizens, as to call into deep question our ability to survive that crisis.

Normality bias ensures that it is impossible for the large majority of our people to even think about, let alone accept, that things are, or could become, so bad. Which means that most won’t even understand what has happened until the wolf comes to their door, blows down their house, and eats their kids.

If Donald Trump can be destroyed by the tempest, then let me assure you that some reflexive appeal to the notion that we are the good guys and therefor guaranteed to emerge victorious is just as ludicrous as any other smoke currently being blown up our nether regions is.

There are no guarantees. Don’t forget it, and proceed accordingly.

Actually, I’d suggest one “guarantee” I consider to be iron-clad: the Usurper Biden will, on January 20th, be sworn in as (ahem) “President****” of the FUSA. Beyond that, though, all bets are now well and truly off. Well, okay, except for one other sure thing: stipulated that nobody has any idea what might transpire in the near term, it’s almost certainly going to suck.

Yes, I used the small footnote-font and multiple asteriks just now on purpose. Most likely, that becomes standard practice from here on out whenever I’m forced to refer to our shiny new pretend-president, the office his puppeteers hijacked for him, and/or the unfunny joke of a “nation” he was selected-not-elected to “lead.” It will be a good way to properly make note of the sad diminishment of the latter two, I believe. As for the figurehead Biden, he was nothing but a pygmy all along, in every imaginable way. There’s no way an empty suit like him can ever be diminished, and no good reason to try.

Disappointing, but hardly surprising

Dammit, I always loved that show too, and he was great in it. Ah well.

Actor David Cross, husband of actress Amber Tamblyn, responded to Joe Biden’s call for unity by exclaiming he wants division and even “blood.”

“After a year of pain and loss, it’s time to unite, heal, and rebuild,” Joe Biden tweeted on Saturday.

“F**k that. I want blood,” Cross responded.

Here’s hoping you get it, asshole, by the bucketload. Not ours, mind. I’m thinking it could be obtained from a different source.

Cross issuing an obvious call to violence still has not been censored by Twitter. The “Arrested Development” star later accused “MAGA chuds” of engaging in the same kind of “violent fantasy trolling.”

“I am loving the responses to this that are all, ‘come and try pussy soy lib hollywood girl woman’ as if these anonymous maga chuds & chudettes don’t practice the same exact feckless violent fantasy trolling,” he tweeted.

So, let me get this straight: your doing THE EXACT SAME FUCKING THING as the people you denounce and loathe somehow makes you…better than them?

In the wake of the election, some Trump opponents have taken the opportunity to threaten his supporters with harsh, draconian punishment no different than a McCarthyite blacklist. The sentiment apparently started when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called for an archive of “Trump sycophants.”

“Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee a decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future,” she tweeted.

Other prominent leftists agreed that Trump supporters should be shamed and pushed aside.

“If you’re a Trumper I hope the pain and anxiety you feel now is excruciating. You voted against America and for a cult leader who has no redeeming or admirable qualities. He’s a cretin who cares nothing about this country and you don’t either. You deserve all the pain and more,” tweeted former MSNBC host Toure.

Soon, motherfuckers. Soon.

Ready for the shocker, though?

Some prominent liberals and Democrats have denounced such talk as unnecessarily divisive and have even encouraged people to speak with Trump supporters.

“I’m fascinated by playing devil’s advocate and want to understand the people I disagree with. I don’t want to dismiss and malign,” comedian Whitney Cummings told The Daily Beast.

“I think it’s very self-righteous or sanctimonious to just dismiss people we disagree with without trying to understand why they believe what they believe,” she added. “I don’t get it. I grew up in Washington, D.C., mostly, but also in Virginia and West Virginia, so I grew up seeing both sides, and people believing different things. Even though I don’t agree with somebody, I don’t think they’re dumb.”

“‘You complete me’ doesn’t mean because we’re exactly alike. It means because we are different. I don’t want to live in a country without the red states,” said comedian Bill Maher. “I like traveling there. When people talk to you in Oklahoma, they’re not scanning the room to see if there’s someone more important. Because, frankly, when I’m there, there never is.”

Can I get an UNEXPECTED!™, anybody?

A Biden primer

Know thine enemy.

He first ran for president in the 1988 presidential election. He didn’t last until the first primary, being forced to drop out when caught in multiple lies about his background, his upbringing, his academic record, and for plagiarizing other politicians. Twenty years later, he ran again in the 2008 presidential election, but dropped out after coming in fifth in the Iowa caucuses, with less than 1% of the vote. He was later chosen as Barack Obama’s running mate.

After eight years of office there, and four years out, he announced his run in the 2020 presidential election, where his plagiarism problem came up again as some of his policy positions were lifted verbatim from other organizations. The blame was immediately deflected to his staff, and the scandal seemed not to touch him.

It’s clear Joe Biden is not the type whose intelligence, competence, or mastery of even a single topic has ever been a point of envy. Those he worked with have not thought highly of him, and the few times he has risen into the spotlight, he has failed to accomplish anything of note on his own accord. Without the coattails of another, namely Barack Obama, Joe Biden would have vanished from public life over a decade ago. Had it not been for other Democrats sabotaging Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democrat primary, Biden would have certainly fallen away early. If he hadn’t sold his soul to the socialist and progressive wings of their fractured party to get support, the Democrats couldn’t have manufactured enough votes to save him.

There is one certainty about Joe Biden, and Barack Obama capitalized upon it. So did China. So did Ukraine. So did Iraq. So did Kazakhstan, and others. One thing he has proven time and time again is that he’s for sale. He will take the position and use his elected powers to implement the policy most beneficial to Joe Biden and his family. Remember the flip-flopping fracking fiasco? He is a piece of moldable flesh, a useful idiot, who will do what he’s told and paid to do. His positions change as his handlers change. He is wholly void of any core beliefs, a single bank of knowledge he could be considered an expert in, the ability to think for himself, or any recognizable moral principles. His Catholic faith does not even conform to the Catholic Church teachings.

The question is not whether Joe Biden is a liar, it is whether he is a compulsive liar (sees his lies as clearly untrue, but cannot stop himself from telling them; lies out of habit), or a pathological liar (sometimes believe their own lies; plan their lies in advance). He’s also a serial liar (lies repeatedly over time). But whatever type, he is undoubtedly a liar. Proof: here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. That’s more than enough.

So back to the original question: What kind of man must Joe Biden be to accept being illegitimately put into the Oval Office? From his speech on Monday, after the Electoral College vote, I must reiterate everything above, and add one more word:  Oblivious.

Oh, I can easily think of PLENTY more. Suffice it to say that the slimy bastard is the Alpha and Omega of absolutely everything wrong with American politics—an odious, self-serving nincompoop bereft of even one redeeming quality. Anybody with even a cursory understanding of the concept of Hell would just about have to agree, whether they believe in its existence or not, that it was created with “people” like Biden in mind.

I bring you good tidings of great joy

No, not THOSE good tidings of etc. In welcome contradiction of my recent claim concerning the routine failure of the Get Woke Go Broke boycotts to result in anybody actually, y’know, Going Broke:

In early 2019 Gillette released its infamous “toxic masculinity” commercial which effectively accused its loyal customer base of being bullies and sexual predators. That ad sparked an angry backlash of men who are fed up with SJW attacks on them, and who vowed to stop buying Gillette products. (I’m one of them.) Six months later Procter & Gamble had to take an $8 billion impairment charge due to Gillette’s declining sales and the declining book value of the Gillette brand, which caused P&G to have an overall $5 billion loss that quarter.

We don’t know how many millions of men quit buying Gillette products after it went hyper-woke, because P&G isn’t telling us. But the Securities and Exchange Commission does require P&G to document problem areas and potentially impaired assets.

Procter & Gamble’s 10-K published in August for the fiscal year ending 6/30/2020 is a long slog of a report, but in summary, things are going well for all P&G units except “Shave Care”.

Hilariously, P&G attempts to lay the blame for Gillette’s sudden collapse on…wait for it…waaaait for it…THEVIRUSTHEVIRUSTHEVIRUS!!!™ Because, y’know, reasons. Buck cheerfully takes a lance to that lame-ass boil.

It’s weird, but as I perused this 10-K report, I found that there is only one P&G unit that may have an upcoming impairment charge, and that one unit is its “Shave Care” unit. Covid apparently isn’t having an impact on Old Spice sales (Old Spice is part of P&G’s “Beauty Care” division), but those same men still buying Old Spice aftershave have stopped buying Gillette razors. Yeah right. Or maybe it’s because P&G hasn’t yet run any commercials where it slanders its Old Spice users as bullies and sexual predators.

P&G tries out several other rationales while scrupulously avoiding any mention of the ill-considered foray into the Kingdom of Woke as a possible cause for Gillette auguring in. Lest we forget, the Male Hate ads were by no means Woke Gillette’s only misfire:

That scarifying offense against pretty much everything imaginable inspired a pictorial response from me, which I’m happy to repost now in celebration of the Big Faceplant.

Tragically, the post with the above images was vaporized in last year’s blog-buster hack, along with the images themselves and pretty much everything else. But I did have copies here on the local machine, thank goodness.

Maskhole genealogy

Misses by a smidge, but a miss is as good as a mile.

All over the country we are seeing confrontations between mask-wearers and non-mask wearers. The maskless  are typically engaging in normal activities, minding their own business, certainly not shouting at every passerby to take off their masks. Most of them keep to themselves while out, not talking to others or getting too close. Many seem to be in contact with almost no one around them until a Very Indignant™ masked person comes along to yell and holler in their face.

The maskholes, on the contrary, cannot keep their COVID-infected hands to themselves…or at least their mouths to themselves. They feel the need to follow the maskless around stores, stop their cars and scream at them from the middle of an intersection, stalk them on sidewalks yelling foul things. They are the ultimate Karens. They have convinced themselves that the fate of the world lies in the fabric covering their mouths. Worse, they have convinced themselves that the fate of the world lies in the fabric covering your mouth.

Maskholes were formerly Enviroholes (and will be again once they’ve Karen’d the virus into submission). Some of them also doubled as Taxholes. When the mask thing came along, they slipped right into it. It felt cozy and familiar and the fit was just right.

All these conditions are the result of an outsized need to save the world, which is rooted in helplessness.

They don’t really want to save the world; they want to run it, to control everybody in it. For our own good, of course. Despite the misstep, the author seems to be aware:

To Karens and maskholes.

There are a lot of people running around America right now who aren’t really concerned about the virus. They are just concerned about your compliance, about your refusal to follow orders because the orders will bring control and control is how we thwart God’s sovereignty. Or so we believe.

Look once more at the video of this man. He is stalking a woman with no mask on, but he doesn’t seem to be the least bit concerned for his health or safety. He isn’t worried about getting the virus from her at all. If he were, he would have immediately left the store and sought safe air elsewhere. When people are frightened for their lives, their first instincts are to either run or freeze in terror. This man marched up and down the store aisles just to scold a stranger.

He wasn’t worried for his life at all. None of the maskholes are. They wouldn’t be out of their homes if they were.

No, they are not scared to die of COVID, they are angry that you’re not “following the rules” while they are. It’s not fair. These are the same people who believe the best solution to the success gap is to level the playing field by punishing success. If their lives are miserable then yours should be too. If they don’t want to use plastic bags (even though everyone prefers them) then you shouldn’t use them either. If people won’t make the “right” choices then they should be forced to make the “right” choice because it’s only fair.

Bingo. Meddlesome, obnoxious jerks like this are nothing new, though. We’ve always been plagued by ’em—lecturing, preaching, scolding, preening, their innate superiority forever on display. In years past they’ve been referred to as bluenoses, busybodies, buttinskis, snoops, snitchers, squealers, tattletales, Nosy Parkers, and quidnuncs. Today they’re Maskholes and Karens; tomorrow, they’ll be something else. Because the one sure thing is that these, we will always have with us. Maybe Dana Carvey captured the gist of their prim, joyless, juiceless nature better than anybody has yet:

They should ask themselves why we hate them. Unfortunately, it would never even occur to them; the Busybody’s core delusion insists that we’re all in total awe of them, couldn’t possibly get along without them, and are keenly awaiting further instructions.

A story of Rebellion, and of justice done

A particularly hilarious one.

An Ocean Shores man said he was attacked for confronting two men for not wearing masks, and now he’s worried police are not properly investigating the case.

Daniel Troublefield, 43, said he was at the Ocean Shores IGA Sunday night when he called someone out for not wearing a mask. Inside the store, he said the conversation turned heated, But he thought that was the end of it. However, he was not expecting what happened once he walked outside.

“I curled up in the fetal position and I was just ready to die,” said Troublefield.

Oh well, better luck next time. For the rest of us, I mean.

He shared this surveillance video with KIRO 7 News, which he got from the neighboring drug store. The video shows him in the parking lot walking out to his white car, but he walks past it as he was taunted by the maskless men.

“They kept berating me with expletives, calling me a snowflake and it’s not science, it’s a hoax,” Troublefield recalled.

Looking back, Daniel said he wishes he ignored them.

“To my regret I walked up to the car. I was trying to explain it is science and you should be wearing a mask because you’re endangering me and everyone else in the store by not having a mask on,” Troublefield said.

That’s when things escalated even further.

“The gentleman tapped on my chest. And I flipped up his hat, and that’s when they both got out of the car,” Troublefield explained.

“One grabbed me by the neck in a chokehold and got me down to the ground. And before I knew it, I was getting my face pummeled with fists,” Troublefield explained.

The beating lasted about 20 seconds. The men took off and now he’s worried they’re going to get away and he won’t get justice.

Oh, you got justice in spades, Mary Sue. You just didn’t like it much, being too goddamned stupid to recognize it even when it smears your nose all over your goddamned face for ya.

Troublefield, a disabled Marine veteran,

WHAAAAT?!? Appalling. Somewhere, Chesty Puller weeps.

said he never threw one punch and even passed out.

Okay wait, are we SURE this guy was really a Marine? Because from the way the story is shaping up, we’re gonna need some solid documentation of that claim before just accepting it on faith.

His nose is now fractured, he’s had to get stitches, and he’s got bruises on his face and body.

Bill has a most delightful After photo portraying the damage done. Y’all might enjoy viewing it as much as I did, maybe. Although I can’t for the life of me imagine how.

“I’d like to see the two gentleman locked up in jail. I’d like for them to pay for what they did,” Troublefield said. “I don’t think any human being deserves to be treated like I was treated.”

So let’s tot all this up then, shall we? You:

  • Stuck your oar in where it wasn’t wanted, starting a “heated” confrontation in a store with two guys guilty of nothing more than minding their own business and acting like normal, sane, free Americans
  • Breezed RIGHT ON PAST your own car, going well out of your way seeking to dick around some more with two already-pissed-off dudes, thereby escalating a confrontation YOU provoked in the first damned place
  • Reached into a private vehicle and “flipped up” Already Pissed Off Dude’s cap, thereby committing the crime of assault against him, probably battery as well
  • Got your miserable ass whupped, but good

Didn’t “deserve” such treatment? Au contraire, cupcake; I’d say you got PRECISELY the treatment you deserved, and should try to enjoy it. God knows you worked hard enough to earn it.

This contemptible disgrace to the Corps goes on to pule about how he and his wife are “compelled” to don the Magic Mask of Submission because they suffer from unspecified “preexisting conditions,” the poor widdle dears. To which I can only offer: stay the fuck home then, you pitiful pissant. In stark contrast with the more-robust gents who dealt out the just deserts, it’s obvious that you’re too sick to be gadding about out of doors—your condition compounded by a potentially life-threatening deficiency of good sense and politesse enough to prevent your alligator mouth from writing checks your hummingbird ass can’t cash and winding up in hospital over it.

An ex-Marine, no less. Hard to believe; harder still to swallow. But there it is, Gawd help us.

An outsider looks in

They know not what they do.

OK, the first thing to say is to apologise for the sheer cheek of some upstart limey like me commenting on the election in America, but I have to say something because I am sitting here in shocked astonishment looking at what appears to be an engineered tyrannical coup d’état against not just President Trump but against the very ideal of democracy itself.

I’m not going to go into the details of the numerous unprecedented issues of corruption and fraud surrounding this election because those details are many and some are already in the public domain anyway. I am simply going to observe that this is a monumental moment not just in the history of America but in the history of the world, and a monumentally catastrophic moment in terms of freedom, democracy, morality decency and honesty. Those who understand what is actually happening don’t need the whole thing spelled out to them, but those who think nothing terribly untoward is happening other than that President Trump is behaving badly, should listen carefully. Very, very carefully.

The world outside the democratic West is a very brutal place. No left-leaning liberal would wish to live in Saudi Arabia, or Sierra Leone, or countless other such places. No left leaning liberal would wish to have lived in Europe during most of the decades of the 20th century which saw so much devastation and death courtesy of political totalitarians seeking nothing more than power and nothing other than power. These corrupt, totalitarian systems were finally defeated because America fought on the right side of good v evil, of freedom versus tyranny and did so at great sacrifice in terms of the many young men who never made it home again, who died in foreign fields and foreign seas in order to preserve freedom and democracy.

Yet here we are, toward the end of 2020 looking at the very real possibility of the breakdown of democracy in America itself. What would have been unthinkable for so long, over so many generations of Americans, can no longer be considered unthinkable. If this gross subversion of democracy is not dealt with in a satisfactory manner by the lawyers then I see no reason, no reason at all why America should not descend into violence and potential civil war in the worst case scenario, or simply lose all confidence in any future elections as a best case scenario — which can only and inexorably lead to the worse case scenario again.

Destroying the democratic foundations of America will certainly have real world consequences. When Donald Trump won the Presidency in 2016 the far-left cried Russian collusion and displayed their visceral hatred across the entire left-wing spectrum, but their anger wasn’t based on the undermining of democracy; their anger was merely that of the petulant, spoiled child denied a shiny bauble. Their anger was lukewarm, false, unjustifiable. Their anger was mere political posturing and they now think the anger of Trump supporters is the same — mere political posturing.

But how wrong they are. How dangerously wrong they are. The anger of Trump’s supporters is white hot, it is incendiary, it is real and it is entirely, eminently justifiable, and it is not the anger of the loser, it is the anger of the wronged and is about so much more than Trump, this is about the democratic future of the United States of America. When a country reaches the point of such legal corruption and such moral degeneracy that democracy can be overturned in full view of a complicit and unquestioning media and liberal establishment there is very little guarantee that democracy will ever recover. This is why the anger is at boiling point, and even now, the left cannot understand what they have done.

I hope and pray this will be resolved by the legal process, but I implore the Democrats, the left-wingers, the socialists and the communists to stop pretending what you have done is acceptable. It is not, and the consequences could be catastrophic both for you, for America and for the world.

They won’t heed a word of it, of course, badly as they need to. As Herschel so aptly puts it, our British cousin “understands the danger the corruption has caused for America better than the people who caused it, or aided it, or who simply looked the other way.” As is so often the case with arrogant fools, the lesson will only be learned the hard way.

If not now, when?

Never, that’s when.

There isn’t going to be another chance in 2022, 0r 2024. Or EVER.
This was the last election where you had a shot.
I repeat:

This was the last election where you had a shot. There will never be another.

There won’t be another free election in your lifetime, for anyone who reads this, unless this gets addressed, and I mean but now.

Not in a minute, next week, end of the month, nor 6 months, not in a year, not in NeverNeverLand fairytales somewhere down the road.
This month and next. By them. Or by you. Or, please God, by Us.

And the absolute final expiration date on that is Jan. 20, 2021. At noon, EST.
That’s the absolute Go To Hell date.
If TPTB won’t fix it before then, they have no reason to fix it, ever.
And they won’t, nor show any sign of doing anything other than ignoring you, wholesale.
And if they don’t do it RFN, what’re you gonna do about it?
Vote at them?

That’s risible, and derisible, simultaneously.
Any fucktard sumbitch talking about “regrouping” and “continuing on forward” for “next time” that hasn’t factored in ropes, bullets, and napalm in their calculus is talking out their ass.
There isn’t going to BE a “next time”.
That outcome was the whole point of THIS time.

Precisely so. It’s now, or it is not. It really is stunning to hear so much purblind Pollyanna bleating about Trump maybe running again in 2024…AS IF 2020 HADN’T JUST HAPPENED. As if our Enemies, Domestic, fresh from having pulled off the crime of the century so successfully, would for some unfathomable reason decide to refrain from doing it all over again next time, and the time after that, and the time after that, and etc etc etc.

To quote Queen Kamala’s soon-to-be Veep: Are you serious? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Nitz explains further, for the ludicrously obtuse among us.

I was driving the now home-bound kids, school-wise at least, on a pizza run. I heard someone on the Hannity show talking about Trump making a comeback in 2024. I wanted to put my fist through the radio.

In 2024? 2024? 2024????? When…

  • The Left has eliminated the filibuster and rammed through so much progressivism it’d take four years of slogging with Trump AND both Congress and the Senate in “R” hands just to undo that?
  • The Left has impeached Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and Barret? (Yeah, yeah, I know, the Senate. Really? With so many RINO squishes eager to fellate their new Dem masters just to keep their places at the federal funds trough? They’ll sign on in a Washington minute just to keep the perks and invites to the parties going.)
  • 30-odd million illegals given legal status and, doubtless soon after, citizenship? Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of refugees they bring in and – I would not be surpised at all – to whom they’ll give citizenship immediately? And 80%, conservatively, voting “D”?
  • And that’s assuming Trump has not been STAR-chamber convicted and is sitting in a cell. If he’s lucky.
  • When “cancel culture” has taken over, amplified to insanity from where it already is. They want revenge – look at what they’ve done to the Biden computer repair man… and their crowing exultation that they’ve driven him out of business. You think you’re immune? Ready for your appearance before a Truth and Reconciliation board?

And on and on and on.

No, if Trump does not prevail there will NEVER EVER EVER be another election in the US where a Republican, or anyone to the Right of Stalin, stands a snowball’s chance on Mercury. The Left will know, having seen, that the GOP will roll over and expose their throats and bellies rather than fight, even when cornered.

So please stop gaslighting us that “all is not lost”. It is. Don’t gaslight me that “we’ll win next time”.  No we won’t.

Precisely so again. Go ahead with the ostrich imitation if you wish, but don’t try to kid yourself that this isn’t, as I keep saying, for all the marbles. Not “next time,” not “tomorrow,” not “someday” or “eventually.” There will be no participation awards given for procrastination, evasion, or blissfully floating off down the River DeNile. This is win or lose it all—game, set, match—and it’s right the fuck NOW.

People get ready.

Confused Old Man: If I Have a Disagreement With Kamala I’ll Just Pretend I Have Advanced Cognitive Decline and Resign as Being Mentally Incompetent to Serve as President
—Ace

Well, that’s the gist of Biden’s statement.

The media is saying “No big deal, this is just a joke.”

Oh, a joke?

Weird. As Julie Kelly pointed out, one time Trump made a joke about Hillary’s deleted emails and he got a three year FBI/Special Counsel investigation for it.

But Democrats are permitted to tell jokes?

Interesting.

Oh, it’s a joke all right. I’m sure what Gropey should have said was, “of course I’ll do whatever my handlers tell me to do, up to and including stepping aside to make way for the Real President.” That would be a lot more accurate and honest.

Take it off

Defiance is the only option, and there ain’t but one way to do it.

Previously I had labeled the masks that our control-freak society is demanding everyone wear, wherever they go and whatever they do, as a mask of ignorance. While the evidence is still uncertain on whether high quality masks, used properly, can stop the spread of COVID-19, the improper use of masks guarantees that they will contribute to the virus’s spread.

I however no longer see masks as simply a symbol of ignorance. I now see masks as a symbol of oppression, and the willingness of Americans to submit to that oppression, without a whimper. In fact, the mask will prevent anyone from really hearing that whimper. It tells everyone you are willing to be silenced and subjugated, like a dog.

Yet, everywhere I go almost everyone is masked. Even more ridiculous, I have seen Trump supporters get out of their car, put their mask on to enter a restaurant, walk to their table and take it off for the rest of the meal. They then put it back on when they got up for that short walk back to their car.

This is not only irrational, it is downright stupid. That mask they put on is often coming from their pocket, and is not antiseptic. The odds it is a carrier of the virus is not trivial. Putting on your face, even for a few minutes, is counter to everything the mask control-freaks claim.

So why do they do it? They do it because they want to avoid trouble. They don’t want to risk an argue about the mask, with anyone. And they also tell me they fear the possibility of being verbally accosted by a control freak, and want to avoid that above all.

Worse, no one believes me when I tell them that none of that happens. No matter how many times I tell them that no one will question them about their lack of a mask, they still put the mask on, in fear.

For conservative Trump voters who claim to be lovers of freedom to bow so easily to fear and bullying bodes badly for the future of our free society. Seeing everyone wearing muzzles enforces the belief that peer pressure rules, and that you must obey the orders from on high. It makes it easier for the power-hungry to demand more, knowing from the sight of all those masks that no matter how unreasonable their demands, their servants will obey.

The thugs in power will take full advantage of this voluntary muzzling. They will know that if they can get away with that, they can get away with anything.

Seeing how brazenly, how audaciously they just stole a presidential election in open view of the entire fucking world, I’d say they know it full well, and no longer have the slightest concern about what anybody might think or do about it.

Update! I have to admit, this here is a mask I might actually consider wearing. Everywhere I went, all day, every day.
