TEXIT!

The Bu-God Republic makes its move.

H.B. No. 1359

(c)  The proposition shall be printed on the ballot above any proposed constitutional amendment under the heading: “Referendum Proposition.”

(d)  The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the proposition:  “Should the legislature of the State of Texas submit a plan for leaving the United States of America and establishing an independent republic?”

(1)  the president of the United States;

(2)  the speaker of the House of Representatives and the president of the Senate of the Congress of the United States; and
(3)  the members of the Texas delegation to the Congress of the United States.

(b)  The Texas Independence Committee is a joint interim committee established to study and make recommendations regarding the most effective and expeditious method by which Texas may be returned to its status as an independent republic.

(c)  The committee shall consider:

(1)  recommendations for amending the Constitution of Texas to accommodate the needs of an independent nation, including:

(A)  the creation of new elected and appointed offices;

(B)  the modification of the powers, functions, and titles of existing offices;

(C)  the renaming of the State of Texas to the Republic of Texas;

(D)  the removal of unnecessary or undesirable provisions that exist solely as a consequence of Texas’ status as a state within the United States of America; and

(E)  the identification of fundamental rights enumerated by the Constitution of the United States of America that may not be adequately preserved in the Constitution of Texas;

(2)  recommendations for amending Texas statutes to accommodate the needs of an independent nation, including:

(A)  the creation of new agencies;

(B)  the modification of the powers, functions, and names of existing agencies; and

(C)  the identification of necessary and desirable functions of government that are provided for under the statutory law of the United States of America but not adequately described in Texas statute;

(3)  recommendations regarding transitional issues which must be negotiated with the government of the United States of America, including:

(A)  any necessary or desirable changes in federal law;

(B)  the determination of citizenship of residents of Texas;

(C)  the disposition of the property and assets of the United States of America currently in Texas;

(D)  a temporary currency union;

(E)  a free trade agreement;

(F)  a common travel agreement;

(G)  the status of Texans currently serving in the armed forces of the United States of America;

(H)  any necessary disposition of the Texas portion of the national debt of the United States of America;

(I)  a collective defense arrangement;

(J)  a postal agreement;

(K)  the payment of pensions to Texans who have vested in the pension programs of the United States of America and its subnational governments;

(L)  a social security totalization agreement; and

(M)  any other transitional issues that the committee may identify; and

(4)  recommendations regarding any international convention or multilateral agreement to which an independent Texas may become a party in order to benefit the people of Texas or ensure minimal disruption during a transition period.

(c)  In addition to considering the issues described under Subsection (b) of this section, the committee shall include within its report required under Subsection (h) of this section a strategy for achieving Texas independence not later than 60 months after the date the results of the referendum election required under Section 1 of this Act are certified by the governor.

This is indeed a momentous occasion, a cause for joy and celebration, and I heartily wish the brave citizens of the Republic all success in this most worthy effort. At the same time, I hope no Texan is cherishing any illusions regarding the odds that the vile, illegitimate dictatorship of the Former United States might suffer them to redeem their fundamental right to independence, self-government, and liberty without a violent campaign to re-subjugate them.

Tyrants, after all, are NOT known for their forebearance, keen regard for justice and propriety, or generosity of spirit; all the higher sentiments and qualities are alien to them. For such loathsome creatures, “depart in peace” is NEVER an option, the memorable John Adams quote from whence it’s drawn merely a bit of incomprehensible jabberwock, no more. Be assured that the handful among them who are even aware of its existence at all were baffled by it, and disliked it intensely.

But what of it? The tyrant’s nature is eternal, and no secret to any student of history. They are what they are, and will do what they will do. Their soullessness and low, footling character portends their ultimate doom: failure, ruin, and infamy awaits them all, be it sooner or later. So three cheers for Texas, and for Texans! Your righteous example lights the path for every true American. Forever may your proud Republic endure.

Kindling

Just waiting for the spark.

And I thought Lefties were nuts when the Obamamessiah came off the Mountain with the Free Shit Army and all dat Gibs that they wanted. Apparently we ain’t seen shit yet. The current news I read is all insanity, mixed with propogandist shit that’d make even the most ardent believer barf. In fact, its soooooo out of control, almost everyone, ‘cept the most ‘truest of true believers, are having trouble digesting this shytte

I mean when you have assholes like Greenwald, by no means a right winger, trying desperately to warn his (((fellow travelers))) of the potential hellstorm that’s coming down the pike? I mean what kind of wake up is it going to take?
Not sure?
Well, I can hanker a guess or two.

Some ‘well known’ talking head goes out to some regional disaster, and tries walking around in ankle deep water again, and gets decapitated live on TV by a .338 Lapua Magnum hollow-point, along with his whole crew….

Or someone seals the doors to a well-known senator’s exclusive house at oh-dark early, and then throws copious amounts of Molotovs through the windows, burning them alive….

Then there’s always just the “random walks up to someone and gets shot in the face” completely randomly…like in NYC it happens all the time Even with security cameras, dude’ll be walking down the street casually, and all-of-a-sudden, another guy walking towards him whips out a gat, and does a 3 second mag dump, and is never found or caught.

Now, I’m not suggesting this be done, this’s a “what if” because at the rate the fever-dreams of our wannabe oppressors are going, they seem to think that they can control the fire so to speak. Ask Califrutopia how they handled them wildfires Oh So Well.
Reason they couldn’t?

Years of kindling

Which is –exactly what we got now. The illiberal officious and duplicitous Oligarchy and Wannabe Dicktaters have been metaphorically ‘cutting down’ the Constitution, Gun Rights, civil discourse and generally anything and everything considered to be “Right of Stalin and Mao” and man, that’s a LOT of kindling right there. Of course, that ain’t enough for these sub-par morons. No no no, they have to dance on aforementioned kindling, grinding it down even further to ‘woodchips’ and teeny broken pine branches.

If that gets sparked, it’ll be a conflagration so large and hot, it’ll make Dresden X Coventry X Hiroshima X Nagasaki look like a wet firecracker. The burning will continue until not one of them is left.

Gee, that’s be a real shame. One of Expat’s commenters recommends a cautionary Kipple:

Rome never looks where she treads.
   Always her heavy hooves fall
On our stomachs, our hearts or our heads;
   And Rome never heeds when we bawl.
Her sentries pass on—that is all,
   And we gather behind them in hordes,
And plot to reconquer the Wall,
   With only our tongues for our swords.

We are the Little Folk—we!
   Too little to love or to hate.
Leave us alone and you’ll see
   How we can drag down the State!
We are the worm in the wood!
   We are the rot at the root!
We are the taint in the blood!
   We are the thorn in the foot!

Mistletoe killing an oak—
   Rats gnawing cables in two—
Moths making holes in a cloak—
   How they must love what they do!
Yes—and we Little Folk too,
   We are busy as they—
Working our works out of view—
   Watch, and you’ll see it some day!

No indeed! We are not strong,
   But we know Peoples that are.
Yes, and we’ll guide them along
   To smash and destroy you in War!
We shall be slaves just the same?
   Yes, we have always been slaves,
But you—you will die of the shame,
   And then we shall dance on your graves!

The usual Kipling brilliance, which will naturally go unheeded by those in a position to profit most from his insight. But hey, what’s with this “graves” shit I’m hearing? Hogs and buzzards gotta eat too, y’know.

Signs, portents, and tripwires

The point at which enough becomes enough.

WHAT would be the tripwire resulting in open rebellion? Examining the Bill of Rights, and considering EXISTING laws only, and not failed attempts, you will find that every clause has been violated to one degree or another. Documenting those violations would fill volumes; and it is important to remember that only government can violate the exercise of unalienable individual rights and claim immunity from retribution. We omit martial law or public suspension of the Constitution as a tripwire. The overnight installation of dictatorship obviously would qualify as “the tripwire,” but is not likely to occur. What has occurred, what is occurring, is the implementation of every aspect of such dictatorship without an overt declaration. The Constitution is being killed by attrition. The Communist Manifesto is being installed by accretion. Any suggestion that martial law is the tripwire leads us to the question: what aspect of martial law justifies the first shot?

There’s no real reason we should take for granted that the “first shot” will be fired according to a rational, careful thought process or philosophical analysis beforehand. It’s just as likely—maybe more likely, if history is any guide—that the fateful trigger-pull occurs as a result of accident, miscalculation, individual mental disorder, plain old dumb luck, or some random combination of those and/or others. It may even take place without anyone recognizing it for what it really was until much later.

Seen in the rear-view mirror, from a distance made safe and comfortable by the passage of time, history can look one hell of a lot different than it does when it’s exploding in your face and wreaking bloody havoc in real time. History is a matter for relaxed contemplation and study—interesting, but not threatening. Before its moderating evolution, though, History exists as Current Events, which can involve life and death decisions; tragic upheaval; and unpredictable, shattering consequences.

The author cites Rand’s “four essential characteristics” defining tyranny, using them to propel the discussion further along:

She identified them quite correctly, but together they are just another composite from which we must choose precipitating causes. These characteristics are: one-party rule, executions without trial for political offenses, expropriation or nationalization of private property, and “above all,” censorship.

With regard to the first characteristic of tyranny, what is the real difference between the Fabian socialist Republican Party and the overtly socialist Democrat party? Nothing but time. Regarding the second we have the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team and the ATF’s enforcement branch. In action they simply avoid the embarrassment of a trial. Regarding the third we have asset forfeiture “laws,” the IRS, the EPA, the FCC, the FDA, the Federal Reserve, the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division and a myriad of other executive branch agencies, departments and commissions whose sole function is to regulate business and the economy. Regulating business for the “public good” (fascism) is no different in principle than outright nationalization (Communism.)

However, the fourth characteristic of tyranny, censorship, is the obvious primary tripwire. When ideology and the reporting of facts and how-to instructions are forbidden, there is nothing remaining but to fight. Freedom of speech and persuasion— the freedom to attempt to rationally convince willing listeners— is so fundamental an individual right that without it no other rights, not even the existence of rights, can be enforced, claimed, debated or even queried. Does this censorship include the regulation of the “public” airwaves by the FCC, as in the censorship which prohibits tobacco companies from advertising— in their own defense— on the same medium which is commanded by government decree to carry “public service” propaganda against them? Does it include federal compulsion of broadcasters to air politically correct liberal twaddle for “The Children?” Does it include the Orwellian “Communications Decency Act”? Does it include any irrationalist “sexual harassment” or tribalist “hate speech” laws which prohibit certain spoken words among co-workers? The answer: unequivocally yes.

Although the above do not pertain to ideological or political speech, yet they are censorship and tactically they are designed to intimidate people into the acceptance of de facto censorship. We say that any abrogation of free speech, and any form of censorship, which cannot be rectified by the soap box, the ballot box, or the jury box, must be rectified by the cartridge box— or lost forever.

Americans have been stumbling over tripwires justifying overt resistance for well over 130 years. On one hand, we submit that gun confiscation is a secondary tripwire only. It is second to censorship because if speech is illegal we cannot even discuss the repeal of gun control, or of any other population controls. If only guns are illegal we may still convince people to repeal those laws. On the other hand, gun confiscation may be a sufficient tripwire because the primary one, censorship, can be fully implemented only after the citizenry is completely disarmed.

The Constitution contains many provisions allowing the violation of our natural rights as free men by immoral and unethical men in government. The true heroes of the ratification debates were the Antifederalists, who secured Federalist guarantees that the Bill of Rights would amend the Constitution. To their undying credit, the Federalists lived up to their promise. Nevertheless, only after constitutional limitations on government have been restored in their original form can we consider amending the Constitution to redress its very few remaining defects (for example; the absence of a separation of state and economy clause.) Laws that make nugatory the means of resisting tyranny and despotism determine the tripwire. The creeping legislative erosion of the 2nd Amendment is not the only tripwire that justifies resistance. We submit that any gun control is a secondary tripwire. Not only because it can be effortlessly evaded, but also because it strengthens our cause. It is second only to censorship. If speech is illegal we can discuss neither repeal of gun control, or the repeal of any other unconstitutional “law.”

Censorship is not a tripwire, it is THE tripwire. Thus by default, censorship morally justifies rebellion.

Under censorship, no other rights, including the right to be free from censorship, can be advocated, discussed or queried. It is incorrect to say that after censorship comes utter subjugation. Censorship is utter subjugation. There is no greater usurpation of liberty while remaining alive. After censorship come the death camps, and they are not a prerequisite to complete subjugation, they are merely a symptom of it. Censorship qua censorship is sufficient in itself to justify open rebellion against any government that legislates, enforces or upholds it. However, that is not the half of it. Censorship is alone in being the only violation of individual rights that does not require actual enforcement, or challenges in court, before rebellion is justified. When the government forbids you to speak or write, or use your own or a supporter’s property to address willing listeners or readers, that government has openly and forcibly decreed that the art of peaceful persuasion is dead and will not be tolerated. Upon that very instant, all peaceable avenues of redress have been closed and the only possible method of regaining individual liberty is force. Whenever we give up that force we are not only ruined, we deserve to be ruined.

A most intriguing take, contradicting the widespread belief that a national gun-confiscation attempt will be the spark that finally ignites the powder-keg. He unwinds the skein from there, producing a meticulously-crafted, honest analysis of which you will definitely want to read the all.

Facts: faced

Wes just comes right out and says it.

There is a lot of talk about violence and how it isn’t necessary. Everyone is asking for everyone to remain calm. So tell me, how exactly are you going to stop this fraudulent President-Elect Biden from being sworn in? Don’t tell me to trust the plan that it is the final act that needs to happen before Trump can act. Seriously? Makes me laugh. We are five days away from our country flat out being stolen from us. The whole world knows this election was stolen. Even Stevie Wonder can see that this election was stolen. And all I hear is “remain calm, trust the plan, we’ll vote them out in two and four years from now, we can survive.” Elections are meaningless now, that has been proven.

What did our Founding Fathers think about violently resisting tyranny? George Washington once said “Firearms stand next to the constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence. To ensure peace, security, and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference, they deserve a place of honor with all that is good.” How about Thomas Jefferson? He once said “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” And even though Alexander Hamilton is one of the reasons we are in the mess we find ourselves in now he said this in Federalist Papers 28 “If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.” And don’t tell me that these are different times, that our government is just too powerful. It does not matter. Freedom has always been gained and retained with violence and resistance.

Our government has failed in its duty to follow our founding documents. We are at fault for allowing that. Now is the time to set that right. People are worried about our probability of success and our lack of organization. Understandable, but our own revolution that founded this once great nation started out very small and very unorganized. In fact most rebellions throughout history have always started small. Would our revolution have even happened without Sam Adams and his Sons of Liberty?

The truly scary thing to ponder is: How many “Americans” today would prefer that it hadn’t?

Telling them

I somehow missed one of the most outstanding cris de coeur I’ve ever seen when it first appeared. Thanks to NC Renegade, I can make up for that most regrettable lapse now. I’m going to excerpt quite extravagantly from it, because…well, because I have to, that’s why. Read on, you’ll understand.

My 1940s born Dad raised me to be patriotic and proud, to love the war bird airplanes of his era as much as he does, and to respect our flag and our country as a sacred thing. I grew up thinking that being an American was the greatest gift a person could have. I grew up thinking that our country was as strong, and honest and true as my Dad. I grew up thinking I was free.

As an adult, I have witnessed the world I grew up in fall to ruin. I have watched as our currency and our economy have been shamelessly corrupted beyond redemption. Since we’ve been married, my husband and I TWICE had our meager investment savings gutted by the market that we were told to invest in, now that pensions no longer exist and we working stiffs are on our own. We will be working until we die, because the Social Security we’ve been forced to pay into has also been robbed from under us.

I have watched as our elected officials enter Congress as ordinary folks and leaves as multi millionaires. I have watched my blue collar husband get up at an ungodly hour every day and come home with an aching back that we pray will hold out long enough to get him to old age in one piece. Outside of shoes, socks and underwear, almost everything my family wears was bought used. We’ve been on one vacation in 12 years.

I watched as my family’s health insurance was gutted and destroyed. Our private market insurance, which we had to have because my husband’s employer is too small to have a group plan, was made illegal. We were left with the option of either buying an Obamacare plan with unaffordable deductibles and insanely ridiculous out of pocket maxes, or paying the very gov’t that destroyed our healthcare a fine for not buying the gov’t mandated plan that we cannot afford. We now have short term insurance that isn’t really insurance at all, and I live in fear of one of us getting injured or sick with anything I can’t fix from the medicine cabinet.

I have watched as education, which was already sketchy when I was a kid, became an all out joke of wholly unmathematical math, gold stars for all, and self-loathing anti-Americanism. My family has taken an enormous financial hit as I stay home to home school our child. At least she’ll be able to do old-fashioned math well enough to see how much they are screwing her. A silver lining to every cloud, I guess.

I’ve sat by and held my tongue as I was called deplorable and a bitter clinger and told that I didn’t build that. I’ve been called a racist and a xenophobe and a chump and even an “ugly folk.” I’ve been told that I have privilege, and that I have inherent bias because of my skin color, and that my beloved husband and father are part of a horrible patriarchy. Not one goddamn bit of that is true, but if I dare say anything about it, it will be used as evidence of my racism and white fragility.

Raised to be a Republican, I held my nose and voted for Bush, the Texas-talking blue blood from Connecticut who lied us into 2 wars and gave us the unpatriotic Patriot Act. I voted for McCain, the sociopathic neocon songbird “hero” that torpedoed the attempt to kill the Obamacare that’s killing my family financially. I held it again and voted for Romney, the vulture capitalist skunk that masquerades as a Republican while slithering over to the Democrat camp as often as they’ll tolerate his oily, loathsome presence.

And I voted for Trump, who, if he did nothing else, at least gave a resounding Bronx cheer to the richly deserving smug hypocrites of DC. Thank you for that Mr. President, on behalf of all of us nobodies. God bless you for it.

And now I have watched as people who hate me and mine and call for our destruction blatantly and openly stole the election and then gaslighted us and told us that it was honest and fair. I am watching as the GOP does NOTHING about it. They’re probably relieved that upstart Trump is gone so they can get back to their real jobs of lining their pockets and running interference for their corporate masters. I am watching as the media, in a manner that would make Stalin blush, is silencing anyone who dares question the legitimacy of this farce they call democracy. I know, it’s a republic, but I am so tired of explaining that to people I might as well give in and join them in ignorance.

I will not vote again; they’ve made it abundantly clear that my voice doesn’t matter. Whatever irrational, suicidal lunacy the nanny states thinks is best is what I’ll get. What it decided I need is a geriatric pedophile who shouldn’t be charged with anything more rigorous than choosing between tapioca and rice pudding at the old folks home, and a casting couch skank who rails against racism while being a descendant of slave owners.

I am done. Don’t ask me to pledge to the flag, or salute the troops, or shoot fireworks on the 4th. It’s a sick, twisted, heartbreaking joke, this bloated, unrecognizable corpse of a republic that once was ours.

Now go read the payoff. Trust me, you do NOT want to miss it; it’s a most fitting closer for one of the most brilliant, cleanly-expressed blasts of heartfelt outrage I’ve seen in nearly 20 years of blogging, and that’s all there is to it. Gore’s worthy follow-up:

Four days after the election, a woman calling herself OHMama posted “I Am Done” on The Burning Platform website. It was the site’s most read article of 2020. SLL and many other websites reposted it. It was raw, explosive anger and a profoundly moving lament; OHMama was clearly at the end of her rope. The closing paragraph packed a wallop.

OHMama gave voice to what’s beneath the surface for so many of us—abject disgust, barely contained fury, and dread of what’s to come. She claimed her own life to live it as she sees fit, and damn them, damn them all, who presume to rule us.

That anger surfaced in Washington on January 6. The protest and raid of the Capitol were illuminating in several ways. They defined the two sides: the government, its string-pullers, and its allies versus those who despise and oppose them.

Legacy media was filled with paeans to our “sacred” government and its “temples,” deploring the “sacrilege” of those who “desecrated” and “defiled” them. What absolute tripe! Washington is a Corruptocracy, a moral cesspool. Anything sacred would have been vandalized or torn down by the mobs allowed to run riot last year. They would have toppled the Washington Monument if they could have figured out how.

Americans who build businesses or pursue careers honestly producing goods and services for voluntary trade are engaging in activities far more sacred than anything that goes on in the capital. Millions of parents instill moral principles in their children, only to see those principles defiled daily by the government. Washington delenda est—if it were leveled and sown with salt America and the world would be better for it.

Our opponents have (a) clearly defined goal—absolute power—and they are absolutely committed to subjugating or eliminating anyone who stands in their way. Until recently most of those on our side didn’t even realize we were at war.

Nothing will be fair about the coming fight. It’s no use whining about the other side’s lack of principles, its lies, hypocrisy, unfairness, ruthlessness, and control of virtually every important institution. They’re evil totalitarians, what the hell do we expect? Their principle is absolute power and they’ll do whatever is necessary to acquire and keep it.

Ashli Babbitt’s death, if it is to mean anything at all, should be the cold slap of reality across the faces of those who haven’t grasped the nature of what we face.

Head over and read all of Gore’s piece too. Between the two of ’em, these posts say just about everything that needs to be said. The Enemy, flush with victory and believing it secure, will assuredly ignore the increasingly clangorous warning of the tocsin these writings represent. He will come to regret it, and sorely. Unfortunately, a dear price for his arrogance, his hubris, his greed, his incalculable fucking stupidity, will be extracted from ALL of us.

A long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object

It’s clobberin’ time.

It wasn’t when the US Army attacked the “Bonus Army”, which was peacefully assembled in DC in 1932 seeking early payment of their WWI service bonds.

It wasn’t during the postwar era, when an activist Supreme Court abolished private property rights in the name of “equality”.

It wasn’t when, via the release of the Pentagon Papers in 1971, the American people learned that the entire war in Vietnam had been founded on lies – the biggest of which was that the US military, under the geopolitical and operational constraints they faced, could ever have won the war.

It wasn’t over the torrent of governmental power abuses that ensued over the next 20 years, nor was it when the Ruby Ridge and Waco atrocities happened.

It wasn’t over the establishment of a permanent, unconstitutional omnisurveillance state before and especially after 9/11.

It wasn’t over the nearly 20 years of US military foreign entanglements that took a generation of brave young men and women and sent them home in boxes, broken in mind and/or body, or permanently disillusioned about their country and their leaders.

It wasn’t even over the past five years of lies, deceit, and outright treasonous collaboration with enemy actors to drag America and its people from the smoldering remains of its constitutional past into the gulag of global totalitarianism.

But when, between November 3rd and January 6th, the globalist elites stole both a Presidential election and two Senatorial elections to deliver complete control of all branches and levels of American governance into the hands of the techno-tyrannical Kommissars, it was finally time for resistance.

Read the whole thing. This, too.

Taking it all back

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

Starting this week and running through at least Inauguration Day, armed protests are being planned at all 50 state capitols and at the U.S. Capitol, according to an internal FBI bulletin obtained by ABC News.

The FBI has also received information in recent days on a group calling for “storming” state, local and federal government courthouses and administrative buildings in the event President Donald Trump is removed from office prior to Inauguration Day. The group is also planning to “storm” government offices in every state the day President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated, regardless of whether the states certified electoral votes for Biden or Trump.

“The FBI received information about an identified armed group intending to travel to Washington, DC on 16 January,” the bulletin read. “They have warned that if Congress attempts to remove POTUS via the 25th Amendment, a huge uprising will occur.”

As well it should. The part I like best of all I’ll put in bold:

Following the violent pro-Trump breach of the U.S. Capitol last Wednesday, Democratic lawmakers in the House of Representatives pushed forward Monday with an effort to get Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, which would declare Trump incapable of performing his presidential duties and would install Pence as acting president until Biden is inaugurated Jan. 20.

The effort was ultimately blocked by Republican Rep. Alex Mooney of West Virginia, and House Democrats then introduced an article of impeachment against Trump for “incitement of insurrection.”

The measure, which has more than 200 Democratic co-sponsors, states Trump has “demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law.

Delicious, innit? Demonrat scum are waxing all CONCERNED!!! about a purported “threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution” all of a sudden—three things that they have never, EVER bothered themselves in the least about before. As for that “self-governance and the rule of law” guff? Don’t. Just…don’t. I mean it, don’t EVEN.

I ran this tune not too long ago, but recent events have rendered it truly evergreen.

Can’t unscrew a country

Not when it’s this badly screwed up, you can’t.

You Can Unscrew A Lightbulb…
Can you unscrew a country? A country that’s just been hijacked by a gang of Usurpers who lack all sense of morality and restraint?

Forget the Constitution. Forget “democracy.” Forget “the rule of law.” These have become “inoperative,” to borrow a word from the Watergate years. They’ve been reduced to passwords: “shibboleths,” if you will, that if deployed skillfully and in the right circumstances, will get a member of the Usurper Class thirty seconds of coverage on CNN. No longer does any vestige of their original meaning inhere in them. There are now only Rulers and Ruled.

The Rulers have excavated a gulf to separate themselves from the Ruled. It’s intended to be uncrossable. Indeed, there are persons whose sole function is to prevent any of the Ruled from crossing it. Yet a tiny trickle will construct bridges of money and influence that they’ll pull in behind them. The tech barons. The identity-group demagogues. The elite among the talking heads.

A great and indefinite struggle has begun. Some individuals will maneuver to attain a position within the Rulers: some to slake their power-lust; others merely to secure and expand their personal interests. Meanwhile, the rest of us will strive to remain out from under their crosshairs.

If there is to be no armed uprising, no military effort to take the country back from the Usurpers, then America is lost…quite likely forever.

Laws will be passed late at night, sometimes in complete secrecy. Federal agents will be granted ever broader powers to interrogate, imprison, and despoil private citizens. Those of us who want only to be left alone will find any degree of personal privacy difficult to achieve. Those who have a little something to defend will be forced to elaborate, clandestine measures to defend it. Those who are targeted for destruction – a class that includes everyone who has spoken out against the Usurpers – will find it all but impossible to evade or placate their attackers.

Elections? You can forget about them. The Usurpers have already captured the election mechanisms – the Boards of Election and the Secretaries of State – and they will do whatever it takes to retain iron control of them. There will be no salvation from that front.

The Usurpers’ campaign to suborn our public institutions, our channels of information and communication, and our educational systems began more than a century ago. It has come to fruition. All that remains are our arms and our willingness to use them…if we’re willing to use them.

Correa puts it bluntly.

Oh, we are so fucked. Today is nothing. It’s probably going to get worse, because we’re on a road that I can’t see any off ramps.

Sorry, here comes a rant.

People are confused and constantly bombarded by conflicting information, some correct, some bullshit, and nobody knows what to believe because nobody trusts the people we are supposed to be able to trust. Then we have a super powerful global media complex that straight up gas lights everyone, and we’re shocked the people have lost trust in information sources.

Then when people have valid concerns, they get mocked, belittled, and insulted. They get gas lighted and told what they’ve seen with their own eyes didn’t happen, and then they’re “fact checked” with things that are basically a list of excuses generated by partisans who have zero clue what they’re talking about.

Repeat that daily, for literally every topic, and you get to a point where nobody trusts anybody and we have massive competing groups that can’t even agree on basic pieces of relative truth anymore. And social media then rubs that in everyone’s face, so we don’t feel any commonality with our countrymen.

But that’s basically because we are several different countries crammed into one. As a people we’ve got two primary philosophies with a bunch of offshoots of those two, except they are mutually exclusive and cannot exist at the same time. So instead we get a muddled mixture of nonsensical bullshit that isn’t really either, but is primarily a vehicle that exists to benefit the same people who benefit from our totally untrustworthy information sources.

Then let’s have a global pandemic, make everybody poorer, put them out of work, make everything they would normally do to blow off steam illegal, and once again if they express any concerns about this situation and the conflicting information presented to them, they get insulted, belittled, disparaged, and disrespected.

Then let’s have riots and looting and arson and murder for months on end, where the rule of law appears to be a one way street.

Oh, and let’s have a bunch of scandals with our political betters that tell everybody we have a two tiered justice system, where we’re peasants, but our moral betters can do pretty much anything and get away with it.

All while our information sources obviously lie and conflict with each other and run interference for their powerful friends, but giant soulless mega corporations will straight up destroy regular mundane people if they feel like it.

And then at the very end of this shitty year, let’s have a election that is insanely anomalous in a bunch of ways, but let’s not actually investigate it in any meaningful manner, and instead let’s just insult anybody who is concerned about it.

Because nothing bad could possibly happen from tens of millions of people believing that their votes will never matter again and the system is irreparably rigged against them in a country with billions of guns and nuclear weapons.

Whew…And that’s just this year, after the last two decades of escalating tensions in a country filled with people who hate each other’s fundamental beliefs.

Which brings us to now…Which is why when buildings start exploding and politicians get beheaded, I won’t be in the least bit surprised.

And I’m usually the optimist. I’m seeing people I would consider boring vanilla normies, not gun culture people, not Trumpkins, not preppers, not even that political, now talking about violence and revolution like those are perfectly normal topics. Twenty years ago that was reserved for us internet gun nuts and taboo crazy talk for everyone else.

Yeah…we are basically fucked.

Our self-appointed Rulers know not what they do. They need some serious schooling.

Wrong move

No. No, no, no, no, NO.

Don Jr, I love ya, I really do. I also understand that as a member of the First Family, there are certain things you simply cannot say. In fact, I’m sure you and your dad both are sincerely dismayed and saddened by today’s uprising. But I’m afraid I cannot agree with you on this.

“Not who we are”? If I never hear another human utter that surrender-monkey balderdash, that self-righteous rationalization for ongoing supine inaction, it will be too soon.

We do indeed have a country to save…and your way, the peaceful way, the legal way, has failed. Ironically enough, it’s unrequited forebearance—the insistence that Real Americans can rely only on pointless debate, decency, and the “rule of law”—that has brought us all to this sorry pass. If you truly hope to save the country, then abandoning Marquess of Queensberry rules in favor of below-the-belt punches, eye-gouging, and low blows is now the only way to get it done.

“Acting like the other side”? Acting as they have has served the Left extremely well, no matter what your opinion of their methods may be. While Normie sat tall and proud on his moral high-horse, sniffing in disdain at the dirty fight raging all around him, the Enemy was winning, using any and every means they thought might avail them. High time we took the gloves off, started using some of their own tactics against them, and notched a few victories of our own.

AT LAST, IT’S HAPPENING

I’ve been watching the news from DC and fielding call after call from all kinds of people all day, but I wanted to at least get one post up on the storming of the Capitol building, evacuation of Congressional traitor scum, and the like. It’s a sad day, but also a great one. This is the beginning of real, meaningful change at long last, and I pray that it continues on for however long it takes to achieve a successful retaking of our nation. Godspeed to all those brave patriots who willingly placed themselves in harm’s way to be a part of this historic effort. May tomorrow morning find DC liberally strewn with Commie traitor corpses, all lit up by the flames of Mordor On The Potomac burning to the fucking ground.

Consider this a sort of catch-all open thread for the nonce, y’all. I’ll have more to say this evening, you betcher.

Laying down the law

They ain’t playing in Clay County, Fla.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss a word of this one, folks. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’ll say it again: no matter how many cops like this guy there might be out there, we will never, ever have near enough of ’em.

Update! On the other hand.

A Black Lives Matter supporter attacked a Trump supporter this evening in Washington, leaving her face bruised and bloody. When other Trump supporters demonstrating for the president’s reelection struggle stepped in to protect the victim and request that the police arrest her assailant, the police responded by pepper spraying the entire group.

The DC Metro Police have repeatedly proven that the Blue Lives Matter movement must readjust their sights away from city cops. City cops are a different breed, they will cowardly follow the orders of Democrat mayors and stand down while cities burn, but they will quickly step into attack their own supporters.

Why defend them? Why pretend they are valiant heroes running into the Twin Towers?

GP reports on the only logical response:

A pro-Trump Marine went off on the DC Police after officers maced Stop the Steal protesters the night before Wednesday’s big rally.

Police have been using a very heavy hand with Trump supporters to protect the Antifa and Black Lives Matter militants who are gathered in BLM Plaza.

“You lost both sides of support. We had your f***ing back, but we ain’t got your back no more!” the man shouts.

Just as we can never have enough cops like that Florida sheriff, in certain parts of the country we are badly oversupplied with, y’know, the other kind.

Swing for the fences

The Rubicon has already been crossed, and it wasn’t Trump who crossed it.

COVID may have been accidental (I say “may“), but Democrats sure picked up the ball and ran with it, destroying our economy and people’s lives for no nobler a reason than to kill Trump’s re-election chances. Leftists do not care about us and are no longer trying to even maintain the pretense that they do. They crossed the Rubicon, deciding that if we must die for them to get and hold power, they can live with it.

Yet there is only so much our erstwhile kings can do to impoverish their subjects before they begin to realize the danger is not quite as dangerous as was claimed and these kings do not have their people’s best interests at heart. When the sky does not fall, subjects tend to notice that the sky is not falling. Then you get rebellion.

A new crisis was needed. It is just another stroke of good fortune that the Democrats had another crisis warming up in the bullpen, ready to torture the innocent into submission.

Enter, the fictive President Select, Asterisk Joe, the King of Aphasia, that addle-pated masked man, our very own epigone president, Joooey Biden, who has called “climate change” the biggest threat to not only America, but also the world.

As a means to reorder society, you cannot get much better than “climate change” and its prescribed solution, the mirific Green Raw Deal. Once people accept that it is real, or at least can be forced to obey a new societal regimen as if it were so, it becomes an immediate emergency.

If Americans enjoyed the emergency COVID diktats from our Democrat tyrants, wait until they see the climate lockdowns, where people are not allowed to own a car or drive, gasoline costs $15 a gallon, private air-conditioners are outlawed (for us, not them), and electricity is five times more expensive and rationed.

There is no mercy on the left, even for its own, but especially for us. The ideology is so comprehensive and strict, and ironclad in its expectation of total loyalty and devotion, that any deviation must be met with not only the harshest of immediate punishment but also the cancelation for all time of the deviator.

They believe they can do this to America and Americans. Yet, as Yogi said, “It gets late really early around here.” This game has just begun, and they take us lightly at their own risk.

They’ve certainly gotten away with it so far, without it having cost them a thing. But as the man says, it’s early innings, and Team Liberty hasn’t stepped up to bat yet.

“Something like a war is underway”

So let’s win it.

Things are shaking loose. Secrets are flying out of black boxes. Shots have been fired. The center is not holding because the center is no longer there, only a black hole where the center used to be, and, within it, the shriekings of lost souls. Will the United States go missing this week, or fight its way out of the chaos and darkness?

If it’s ever to get out at all, it can only do it by fighting.

Whatever occurs in this strange week of confrontation, Joe Biden will not be leading any part of it. Where has he been since Christmas? Back to hiding in the basement? Did the American people elect a ghost? Even if this storm blows over, could Joe Biden possibly claim any legitimacy in the Oval Office? And then what happens with the rest of the story — which is an epic economic convulsion sharper than the Great Depression — as time is unsuspended and the year 2021 actually unspools?

Only the bare outlines of this week’s fateful game are visible. Mr. Trump has not conceded the election. An action will play out in congress under rarely-used constitutional rules as to how the electoral college votes are awarded to whom. The rancor around this action is already epic. Few of the political players are beyond suspicion of dark deals and shifty allegiances. Persistent rumor has the president laying out a royal flush of deadly information about his antagonists, enough to make heads explode among the formerly cocksure and vaporize the narrative they’ve been running for four years.

A whole lot of people are converging in the nation’s capital at midweek, maybe even the touted million. It is a moment, possibly, not unlike the Bastille in Paris, 1789. They will be clamoring right outside Congress as the electoral vote ceremony proceeds. If the battle is not joined in the chamber, it’s a little hard to believe the crowd will just heave a million sighs, trudge back to their cars, and drive quietly home.

It’s not nearly as hard to believe as it should be, more’s the pity. Then again, Ol’ Remus’ sage advice about staying away from crowds keeps coming to mind.

Irish democracy

Francis shows us the way.

If nothing else could have done so, this election has clarified the central political issue of our time: America’s federal government has far too much power, an incomprehensible percentage of which resides in the Oval Office. Therefore, merely saving Donald Trump’s second term is not enough.

It’s time for other measures.

According to James C. Scott as quoted by Tim Condon, “Irish democracy” consists of widespread passive resistance to the decrees of the Omnipotent State:

Quiet, anonymous, and often complicitous, lawbreaking and disobedience may well be the historically preferred mode of political action for peasant and subaltern classes, for whom open defiance is too dangerous….One need not have an actual conspiracy to achieve the practical effects of a conspiracy. More regimes have been brought, piecemeal, to their knees by what was once called “Irish Democracy”—the silent, dogged resistance, withdrawal, and truculence of millions of ordinary people—than by revolutionary vanguards or rioting mobs.

The premise behind “Irish Democracy” is that the State lacks the enforcement power to have its way with millions upon millions of rebels. It’s Mohandas Gandhi’s strategy, albeit without his overt confrontations with the institutions of government. “You can ignore the State and do as you please, as long as you keep your head down.”

Removing the overt confrontations makes “Irish Democracy” much safer than any other form of rebellion. The State needs conspicuous, targetable rebels. It cannot use terror of its forces without someone to turn into an “example.” No conspicuous rebels means nothing for the State to crucify for the edification of the public. As we mathematical types like to say, quod erat demonstrandum.

I could go on about this, but I don’t think there’s a need. The implications are fairly plain. If you deem the governments of these United States to have become illegitimate, you might find the notion of “Irish Democracy” attractive. Think about the observations above. Think about how you could arrange your affairs so as to dismiss the demands of the State while remaining free of its scrutiny. While it would be harder for some than for others, millions of Americans and their enterprises could contrive to ignore the demands and decrees of the governments that claim “authority” over us.

There are other approaches of varying appeal, such as “going Galt.” They amount to the same thing: rebellion without the need to load the magazines and man the barricades. Choose the course that best accords with your tastes.

Lately I’ve discussed with friends an old maxim of my own devising, to wit: Revolution is not an event; it’s a process. Although it might feel in certain times and circumstances as if a violent uprising is imminent, I don’t think its hot breath is on American necks just yet. From the long-view vantage point of the historical record, revolutions and civil wars are a long time a-brewing before coming to full boil, although we often come to perceive things differently in hindsight.

It appears that the most hot-blooded among us expect the shooting to start in earnest on January 6th, surely no later than the 21st in the wake of the Usurper Biden’s “inauguration.” Myself, I expect that they’ll be disappointed. I repeat: process, not event. And as revolutionary process goes, it’s still early days yet.

There’s no denying that sufficient provocation has been inflicted on Real Americans to ignite a real conflagration, particularly over the past year. Likewise is there no credible argument to be made that the current federal Leviathan is even remotely in accord with the principles set down in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence. It’s probably the most dead-cert truthful bumper sticker slogan there ever was: the Founders would have been shooting already.

Still, it’s more than likely that we have several intermediate stages to muddle through before upheaval is general and ordinary, peace-loving Joe Normie—however ferocious his patriotism—finds himself prepared to peer through a 4x Leupold at the shitlib next door, fully and firmly intent on doing him grievous bodily harm. Joe’s patience will always outstrip his battle-wrath, even when the danger of losing all is clear and growing. For that, we should all probably be thankful. The time will come soon enough for Joe to shed his civilized reluctance and wreak vengeance on his tormenters. If you doubt his will to stand and deliver, remember your Kipling:

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late
With long arrears to make good,
When the English began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy-willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the English began to hate.

Their voices were even and low,
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show,
When the English began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd,
It was not taught by the State.
No man spoke it aloud,
When the English began to hate.

It was not suddenly bred,
It will not swiftly abate,
Through the chill years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the English began to hate.

The choice

Do, or die.

How each of you reading this decide to answer this question will determine the course of history. Will the domestic enemies of the US Constitution complete the destruction of the Document and the subversion of the American Republic, or will 70 million Americans fight so that those on the Left are defeated and held accountable? Make no mistake, there are no good choices. We are well past the point of having good options.

If we choose, as liberty loving people, to resist this communist coup, there will be blood. The Left has promised, and proven, violence if their coup is resisted. Many may die, patriots, tyrants, and innocents caught in the middle in the next few months. Some of us reading this may die. Some of our wives and children may die. The Union may fracture, perhaps irrevocably. The fabric of America will be irrevocably changed, and not for the better. This will start a civil war, and nobody truly wins in such a conflict. Isn’t the alternative better? If we just give in, won’t the Left leave us alone? What does history tell us?

If we surrender without fighting, as the Left is desperately urging us to do, then history tells us what happens next. Just as in Russia after the Revolution, or Germany when the National Socialists took power, or Venezuela, or in every other country where the Left has stolen the power of government, without exception, Liberty loving folks will be progressively and relentlessly hounded. Using the full force of the Federal government, initially in the ‘blue’ states, but increasingly everywhere, the Left will attack anyone they view as their enemy. Trump voters will be targeted, small businesses will be obliterated, the middle class will be but a memory, and any attempt at resistance will be crushed by the Left using the mechanisms of the Federal government. If you thought that the FBI, the IRS and the EPA under Barry Soetero were bad, then just wait and do nothing, and see what happens next.

States that voted for Trump will receive disproportional attention; denial of revenues, increased regulatory attention, investigations and harrassment of state legislators, and targeted violence and assassinations of influential state politicians. Self defence will be made a Federal crime and the means for self defence likewise criminalized. Worse, there will be no chance of change for the foreseeable future; once having stolen control of the Federal authority, the Left will never permit any repetition of Trump’s 2016 Federal victory, and all subsequent “elections” will result in victory by the Left. Just as in communist Russia, socialist Germany, and progressive Venezuela.

Should Trump fail to use the Insurrection Act, or his 2018 Executive order to smash this coup and if We The People do not wholeheartedly support him if he does, then rest assured that once the Left gains power, they will not hesitate to use these instruments, and others, together with the entire mechanism of the Federal government against their enemies. Against us. The Left has promised this, and can be expected to deliver. There will be no peace, should we fail, except the peace of the grave, and those not killed will be slaves to the Left, allowed to live on sufferance, and the Left will ensure that the survivors suffer. These united States will become Portland Oregon writ large.

I see no other realistic alternatives before us. We all will die someday. Either we run the risk of death in a hard fought civil war or we surrender and face the certainty of oppression and death by the Left, backed by the power of the Federal Government that we surrendered into their hands.

I really, really wish I could say he’s wrong. But…I can’t.

Thanks to Historian, who has two posts up over at Fran’s place his own self, for the heads-up.

Update! In the first of the above-linked brace of posts, Historian poses the burning question: What is to be done? Then he answers it.

It would appear that Liberty loving folk here in these united States are awakening to the idea that their freedoms may indeed be gone if THEY do not do something about it. Most folks, having never considered the subject, are reasonably enough at a loss for how to proceed. One of the reasons that I am a student of history is that while technology changes, human nature does not. It is always worth examining the strategy and tactics of the enemy for useful means and methods, and while I revile the result, one has to regard Lenin’s approach as successful, especially since the American Left has emulated it so closely. What did Lenin say should be done?

After walking us through a few examples from the historical record, he gets down to brass tacks.

Rage is the appropriate emotional response, but rage, by itself, is insufficient. Liberty loving folks are late to the party and we are fragmented, divided and under ongoing assault. So, assuming Biden is illegitimately installed in what will once again be the Spite House, what are we to do about it?

Make our weakness our strength. A grass roots resistance movement numbering in the millions, composed of tens of thousands of small independent cells cannot be effectively infiltrated. Hidden in the body of the American people it cannot be overtly crushed militarily. And with somewhere between 600 million and a billion small arms, with over a million unlicensed machine guns, it cannot be disarmed. Unless we consent.

The road to a successful resistance movement is a journey, and each individual in it has to walk that road at their own pace. The key is starting the journey, establishing the habit of independent thought and action as you take each step. Some may move faster than others and are willing and able to go farther in their journey, but that does not matter as much as your commitment to Liberty.

First, establish your own ideological foundation. Ask yourself, and be sure that you understand the answer to the question, “What is the primary function of government?” If, like me, you believe that the primary function of government is to protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, then you are a friend of Liberty. Satisfy yourself and understand the reasons why you believe that the present actions of the Left are INTOLERABLE. Not just evil, but not to be tolerated under any circumstance. Withdraw your consent from what would be an illegitimate government. Once you have established that in your mind, then take the next step.

Follows, a whole slew of specific ideas, my far-and-away favorite of which is this:

We’ve talked about the need for the Freedom Forces to have a robust logistical infrastructure, but we must also consider attriting the Left’s infrastructure. One way to do this is to shun them. Have nothing to do with a Leftist; refuse them service if you can. If forced to, give crappy service in the guise of stupidity or incompetence. If you are a barista, put salt in their coffee instead of sugar, or put too much sugar in.  Never give them what they want. Overcharge them. Give them the two day old pastries or the moldy ones with the mold scraped off, especially if they are taking it “to go”. If you get a complaint, take refuge in the rhetoric of the Left, accusing them of ageism or sexism, or racism if you are a person of color. If you are involved in online sales and can identify your customer as a leftist, send them the wrong stuff; my wife ordered gloves and got a bunch of food containers, purely by accident. This was amusing, but imagine a Leftist receiving a copy of Trump’s “Great Again” instead of the Lenin’s “State and Revolution.” Confusion in medical records is always interesting if it is possible to do without being traced. The point is, make their interactions with Americans as unpleasant as possible, and never relent. Be innovative and creative. Take another step.

I LOVE it. A tremendous part of our problem, arguably the biggest single reason why we’re where we are in the first damned place, is that the Left has never suffered real consequences for their abominable actions. Therefore, what reason do they have to cease and desist? So be it, then; suffer they must—REAL suffering, I mean, REAL pain. The kind of pain not easily forgotten, the kind of soul-deep agony that instills intense reluctance to ever again offer offense against those who inflicted it.

Real Americans have only ever wished to be left alone, to be allowed to live their lives in peace and at least some semblance of freedom unmolested. The Left chose to deny that wish, most emphatically and with extreme vindictiveness. It must be driven home to them that they chose….poorly, and to regret it so profoundly they’ll never feel the slightest temptation to make the same mistake twice.
