Tell me a story

Oh no, Daddy, not THIS one again.

In 2020, it appears the official story tellers may have another problem on their hands with the Biden campaign. The story they are selling this time is the public is tired of the tyrant Trump and ready to lift-up world-weary old white man, and his super-smart diverse sidekick, and carry them to the White House. You see, world-weary old white man had a nice run, but now it is time for him to go. His last act will be to vanquish mean old white man and then hand the baton over to diverse sidekick.

It’s a familiar story, one that is the center of so many bad movies it is amazing that they keep trying to sell it. In this case, world-weary old white man is a vegetable that has been in hiding for most of the year, because he has shark eyes and says wacky things suggesting he is not all there. Super-smart diverse sidekick is pretty dumb and reminds everyone of getting their license renewed. It’s a bad story that no one wants to think about and the characters don’t work for the audience.

Compounding it is the world-weary old white man has a son that likes to smoke crack and film himself banging hookers. Fair or foul, people judge people by their children and Hunter Biden is a vulgar degenerate. He lies, cheats, steals and does not seem to have anything resembling a conscience. Worse yet, he seems to be an uncommonly stupid person, getting jammed up over stupid things like leaving his laptop with a repair shop, so the contents can be sold to the tabloids.

If the contents were just an unusual amount of cat pictures, people could possibly generate some sympathy for his parents. They gave it their best shot, but the boy was never right in the head. Instead, it’s videos of him smoking crack with hookers and having them perform unnatural acts upon him. Then there are the e-mails from foreign potentates suggesting he was the facilitator in a bribery scheme involving his father, who was vice president at the time, emphasis on the vice.

The Biden-for-Prez story is old and stale by now. But Slimey Joe keeps on trotting the musty old thing out anyway, hoping for the happy ending at last.

Begone, foul dwimmerlaik, lord of carrion!

Francis waxes even more outraged than I did over the Left’s desecration of LOTR.

“Worried” doesn’t nearly cover it. I’m outraged by the mere possibility.

Their moral clarity is one of the main reasons for the immense popularity of Tolkien’s works. They pit good against evil, freedom against enslavement, and heroes against villains, vacillators, compromisers, and the “let me think it over” types whose sole concern is to be on the winning side. Those who insist that “there’s no black or white, only shades of gray” can never be comfortable with such a premise.

Please don’t confuse moral clarity with prudishness. No, there are no sex scenes in Tolkien’s stories, but that’s irrelevant to the larger issue. George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, best known by the title of its first volume, A Game of Thrones, is founded on a completely different moral perspective: one in which essentially everything goes and who was in the right is determined, after the dust has settled, by the victors. It’s not founded on a clash between good and evil, but on what the movers and shakers are willing to do to triumph.

A simple touchstone – “Would you prefer to associate with Tolkien’s heroes or Martin’s?” – dramatizes the differences between the two conceptions, and the reason for the far greater (and more enduring) appeal of Tolkien’s oeuvre.

Cold comfort it may be, but it’s still true: The products of Tolkien’s creative genius will remain with us long after the Left’s peurile attempts to sully and diminish them have been forgotten. In their twisted ignorance, they think they’re “expanding” them, “enlarging” them, “broadening” their scope. They will not do so, because they cannot. To paraphrase Lincoln, Tolkien’s works are far beyond their little ability to add or detract; they can only make themselves smaller and more miserable by the effort.

A new low

Yes, Virginia, there really IS nothing they won’t try to debauch, defile, degrade, and destroy.

Amazon Prime’s “Lord of the Rings” series set to release in 2021 has been eagerly anticipated by devoted LOTR fans around the world. The $1 billion series will be set in the Second Age of Middle Earth, which spans 3441 years, before the events of the LOTR movies.

Unfortunately, it looks like the creators of the series, which they claim is based on J.R.R Tolkien’s original work, may be trying to imitate “Game of Thrones”-type nudity and “rapey” storylines. This, no doubt, will delight the left, who have long detested Tolkien’s writing and distinctive Christian influence on popular culture.

According to TheOneRing.net, the casting agency for the series put out an open call for actors who “must be comfortable with nudity.” In addition, Amazon Studios has hired an “intimacy coordinator,” and the writer and producer from “Game of Thrones,” Bryan Cogman, has officially been hired as a consulting producer.

Tolkien’s books were deeply religious and purposeful. As David Platt wrote in a “Standpoint” article, “Tolkien combined his extraordinary talent for story-telling and philology to communicate conservative and Catholic values and images through his captivating fictional tales of Hobbits, Elves, Men, and Dwarfs.” “The Lord of the Rings” is, as Tolkien said, “a fundamentally religious and Catholic work…”

As Platt pointed out, the left wins political battles “through the domination of institutions, the professions, culture and received thought.” The “social conservatism of Middle Earth” is one of the few things in pop culture that is antithetical to the left’s worldview and goals. Naturally, then, the left has employed their usual tactics to take down Tolkien and his Legendarium, pronouncing “The Lord of the Rings” racist, sexist, and non-inclusive of LGBTQ+ people.

The left is already cheering on the beginnings of the presumed assassination of Tolkien’s legacy. The leftist “NY Magazine” ran a story this week headlined, “Give Us the Horny Lord of the Rings Show We Deserve.” “Are we sure that an overwhelmingly erotic Middle Earth experience is such a bad thing,” read the article. “Make the elves get a little freaky. Allow the hobbits their fun. Give a new meaning to the inscription on the West-door of the Mines of Moria: Speak, friend, and enter.”

It’s actually a sickness, this insatiable megalomania filtered through the dark lens of the Left’s twin obssessions: politics, and sexual perversion. I’ll agree with one thing, though: a “horny Lord of the Rings show” actually IS what you deserve. Because an elevated, ennobling, world-changing work of literary art is over your pointy little head, far beyond the pitifully limited comprehension of intellectual and moral dwarves such as yourself.

What you deserve is exactly the kind of grubby, vapid, here-today-gone-tomorrow piece of garbage you’re going to get: a contemptible reboot of a bona fide masterwork thoroughly grounded in Christianity, collapsing into a sooty pile of pure nothingness from having all the Christianity excised from it. You lack the wit to realize why the only thing you’ll take away from the experience is a nagging dissatisfaction, as only an unimaginative brat’s bootless attempt at cocking his snook at the product of true creative genius can bring forth.

LOTR will live on regardless of shitlib vandalism and desecration; Porno Middle Earth will be totally forgotten the moment it gose off the air.

Great minds

In the current Donnybrook comments, I see that Barry said this:

The polls are rigged. They don’t remotely align with reality. They are rigged to create a cascade of Biden voters and to depress the Trump voters.

Elsewhere, I see that Ted Cruz said this:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Friday warned Republicans the party could face a “bloodbath” in November if voters aren’t feeling optimistic about the economy and the direction of the pandemic.

Speaking on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cruz said the presidential election is extremely “volatile” and that President Trump could still get reelected by a “big margin” if voters feel like the U.S. is recovering from the pandemic-induced economic shutdown.

But he warned the party could also face landslide losses similar to what happened in the midterms following the Watergate scandal and Richard Nixon’s resignation.

“I am worried. It’s volatile, it’s highly volatile … if people are going back to work, if they’re optimistic, if they’re positive about the future, we could see a fantastic election — the president getting reelected with a big margin, Republicans winning both Houses of Congress and I think that’s a real possibility,” Cruz said.

“But I also think if on Election Day people are angry and they’ve given up hope and they’re depressed, which is what [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and [Senate Minority Leader Charles] Schumer want them to be, I think it could be a terrible election. I think we could lose the White House and both houses of Congress, that it could be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions.”

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has opened up a 9.7-point lead over Trump in the RealClearPolitics average of polls, his largest lead in months.

So the question here is this: is Barry really channeling Ted Cruz somehow?

Joking around aside, they’re both right. It’s doubtless true that the polls are indeed rigged, and purposely so. The fact that almost every one of them oversamples Democrat-Socialists by truly ludicrous margins alone makes it perfectly clear that they aren’t honest efforts at gauging public opinion; they’re attempts to obscure the truth, instead of revealing or clarifying it. They’re transparent manipulations magicked up from whole cloth to provide comfort and reinforcement to the Left, and to demoralize and suppress Real American voters. In short, they’re no more honest, reliable, or trustworthy than the “debate” shitshows are—that any and everything else corrupted by “liberalism” ever is, actually. And oversampling is only one facet of the problem with polls.

The poll sample is important. Oversampling Democrats will skew the results in favor of the Democrat candidate. In this poll, 34 percent identified as Democrat while only 26 percent described themselves as Republican, an eight-point difference. Imagine the results if those percentages were flipped.

They also surveyed registered, not likely, voters. Given that only slightly more than half of eligible voters actually voted in the 2016 presidential election, this too is not a representative sample.

The CNN poll, with their Democrat oversampling, showed voters nationally backing Biden over Trump by 51 to 46 percent, a five-point difference, less than the eight-point difference in party affiliation.

A nationwide poll is irrelevant in a presidential election because of the Electoral College. Instead there are 50 state elections taking place, not a national popular vote, to the consternation of many on the political left.

A presidential election is decided by a handful of “battleground states” that tend to swing red or blue, depending on the election cycle. An opinion poll in New York or California is irrelevant as it’s a foregone conclusion that the Democrat will win. The margin doesn’t matter as the electoral votes will be the same.

In battleground states, Trump leads Biden by 52 to 45 percent, a seven-point margin. Add the eight-point difference in party affiliation of those polled, and Trump’s lead could potentially be 15 percent.

Some other interesting tidbits are hidden in this poll. The economy typically predicts the next president, as USA Today notes. The U.S. economy is in the toilet these days due to the Wuhan virus causing a national shutdown. But as The Washington Post begrudgingly admits, “Americans have an increasingly dismal view of the economy, but they don’t blame Trump.”

And even all that doesn’t address the use of carefully-crafted questions intended to “lead” respondents to the answers the propagandists find useful, among still other highly suspect stratagems.

All in all, it’s like I always say: polls are the bunk. There are certainly valid reasons not to be too complacent about the likelihood of a Trumpslide. Deceptive Enemedia polls ain’t one of ’em.

Fix: IN

Bonchie sounds the note of despair.

This is not the kind of big news you want to get on an otherwise slow Sunday morning, but here it is. Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo is reporting this morning that there will be no Durham interim report or indictments coming before the election. By the wording, she may actually be saying there’s no report coming at all.

If true, this is a travesty of justice of the highest order given what has transpired the last five years.

Whether or not you believe this news will probably depend on the level of cynicism you normally operate with in regards to this topic. I’ve been far more skeptical of the Durham investigation than even I’d like to admit at times. While I want people to be brought to justice, it’s the kind of thing that never seems to happen when the targets are of a Democrat nature (yeah, I know Comey is a “Republican”).

There are other reasons to think this is true though. With only five weeks before the election, was the DOJ really going to throw an “election interference” bomb into the mix by indicting high-level anti-Trump figures right before the vote? That’s always been a fear of mine for a while, i.e. that those involved in this investigation and Lindsey Graham’s Senate investigation would successfully run out the clock and try to wait until the transition period. It appears both those things have happened, as we are now so close to the election that no one that lacks Trump’s will and demeanor, which is necessary to do what’s right in this case, is going to want to be seen as influencing the election. Trump wouldn’t care, nor should he, but Bill Barr might. Lindsey Graham would.

All of this should have ended months ago. The Durham investigation has now had nearly as much time as the Mueller investigation had. Graham’s Senate committee quite literally had years to get their interviews and report done. Now, even if they move before the election, they will be playing right into Democrat hands.

This is a strategic blunder, but it’s also a moral blunder. The American people need to know they have a justice system that treats all people fairly, regardless of political persuasion.

On the contrary, I strongly suspect that the American people—the more perspicacious and attentive among them, at least—know, and have known for quite a long while, that they have no such thing—nor do they have much chance of ever getting themselves one.

Trump-Wallace debate is ON!

BIDEN WINS BIGLY!

BidenWinsDebate.jpg

U.S.—In a highly accurate and scientific CNN poll taken pre-debate, presidential candidate Joe Biden has had a clear win over incumbent President Donald Trump, with 98% saying Biden won the debate tonight and only 2% saying Trump won.

“Biden just dominated Trump with his very non-senile performance,” said pundit Jacob Ingram. “Or at least that’s what everyone knows is going to happen.”

The Trump campaign has denounced the poll as “fake news,” even though the poll was made using numbers and a computer which are common instruments of science.

It is unclear if the actual debate tonight could affect the poll results, but most experts expect that it will not.

Of course, all Biden ever had to do was show up on time, be able to stand without visible assistance, and not actually foam at the mouth for The People Who Matter to declare him the “winner.”

The actual debate, as expected and as always, is between the Republican candidate and the “moderator.”

This was just stunning.

There has never been a presidential debate where a moderator has so openly interrupted and argued with not only a candidate but THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Then when President Trump brings up the Biden Family scandals Chris Wallace CUTS HIM OFF!

And to top it off — Then Chris Wallace LECTURES THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES on interrupting!

Chris Wallace is a Disgrace!!

Just doin’ his job, man.

Update! In perhaps the most surprising moment from tonight’s “debate,” Biden proudly unveils his new campaign slogan:

Biden-MAGA-web.jpg

Once a plagiarist, always a plagiarist, eh Gropey?

Fairly unbalanced update! Quite a showing.

Chris Wallace was always going to be a terrible choice as a moderator for any of the three presidential debates, let alone the first one, but good God, did he fulfill that destiny with flying colors.

We knew it back in July when Wallace attempted to fact-check President Trump on the accurate claim that former Vice President Joe Biden was on the record committing to defunding police departments. Biden is, in fact, on record committing to that, and yet, Wallace pretended we hadn’t heard it with our own ears.

The Fox News anchor was supposed to show up and moderate a debate, with it having expressly been stated that he wouldn’t operate as a fact-checker, and yet, that’s all he did for at least the first hour of the debate. It got so bad that, at one point, he asked Trump not to interrupt his opponent (there were many fine interruptions on both sides), and when the president asked Wallace to make that same point to Biden, Wallace puffed up his chest to tell Trump that it was actually him doing more interrupting.

Even if you could prove that the president was the champion of interrupting every person on Earth, let’s talk about what Biden did: He told the president of the United States during a nationally televised debate to “shut up,” to “keep yapping,” and he called Trump a “clown.”

All of that actually happened, and not once did Wallace reprimand the former vice president. He might have perhaps even asked that Biden keep things civil, given that, you know, Biden’s whole thing is “restoring the soul of America.”

Time to face facts here, people: apart from Tucker and Hannity, Fox News has become just another Enemedia outlet at this point. Although Hannity grates on me something awful and always has, I’d still love to see those two walk away from that dumpster fire and start their own damned network.

Numbers don’t lie update! The whole farce in a nutshell.

Hey, seems perfectly fair to me. TIME TO MOVE ON…

Ohhh, we REALLY got him now!

The NYT grunts, strains mightily, squeezes out another hard, desiccated nugget of pure nothing.

As a former accountant, please allow me to explain why all of today’s newly formed tax experts are fucking morons, and we should metaphorically put a brick in a sock and beat them over the head with it until they shut up.

I’m going to keep this blog post simple. I’m not going to get into any of the specifics of the leaked Trump taxes. Why? Because:

  1. We don’t know how full of shit the NYT is, and you don’t do taxes based on rumors and innuendo. You do taxes based upon financial statements and the company’s books.
  2. This shit is super complicated and my happy ass is retired and likes getting paid more money to write books instead of reading through thousands of pages of IRS regs.

Which brings us to today, with people freaking out about how Trump allegedly didn’t pay taxes for 10 out of 15 years and how that’s UNFAIR. Assuming that the anonymous tip isn’t total bullshit—and this is the New York Times we’re talking about and they love to just make shit up—and that the information is accurate (which means that whoever leaked it committed a felony, but that’s a whole different discussion)… my answer is so?

Actually, I beg to differ on one point: we DO know how full of shit the NYT is: totally. Other than that, it’s Larry Correia talking here, and nobody suffers fools less gladly than he does. So naturally, you’ll want to read it all.

Crunching the numbers

High-larious.

Below is the summary of events since Labor Day. President Trump has now held events with an estimated 187,730 event goers while Biden has entertained an estimated 84 event goers.

There literally may be more Trump supporters protesting Biden events than Biden attendees at his events.

Biden has not entertained a crowd greater than 30 people since Labor Day and probably no crowd greater than 100 since March.

The polls are garbage, the current race is not even close.

Earlier in the piece, Hoft notes:

In the 2016 election we kept track of event attendance after the Party Conventions for both candidate Trump and Crooked Hillary. We did this because the future President was setting records at seemingly every venue he visited while Hillary could barely fill half a high school gymnasium. By mid-August we determined that President Trump had 10 times the number of attendees at his rallies than Hillary did during the same time. This year it’s worse.

By election day 2016 we determined that tens of thousands of more individuals attended Trump events than Hillary events.

The far left mainstream media claimed Hillary was up in the polls. They claimed that rally attendance didn’t matter, but it did. Momentum and enthusiasm mean a lot.

One of the more amusing aspects of the Cadaverous RBG dustup has been the many declarations—including the suspicious and unsupported invocation of the “Gramma’s dying wish” clause in the Constitution—that propriety and precedent both require that there be no consideration of Ginsberg’s replacement “until we have a new president.” Nobody seems to have noticed the problem with that, which I’ll set in the form of a question:

Assuming a bit much there, ain’tcha?

So once again, the Democrat-Socialists and NeverTrumpTards alike are just taking it as read, a rock-solid inevitability, that Trump will not, cannot, win.

Y’know, just like they did in 2016.

But…but…but…MUH POLLS, MUH POLLS!!!

Yeah, how’d that work out for ya LAST time, bright boy?

There is NO—zero, zip, nada—enthusiasm for Biden out there on the hustings, but everybody’s wild about Trump. Search for the feeblest Biden spark as diligently you like, everyplace you like, and you see…nothing. Your search will be in vain.

Boat regattas. Car parades. Biker runs. Speeches. Rallies. Press conferences. At every public appearance Trump makes, all across the country, we have thousands of people who are happy to stand for hours in lines that stretch for miles, literally, just on the off-chance that they MIGHT get in. We have people, hordes of them, camping out for days waiting to get tickets…to a friggin’ political rally.

Meanwhile, on the ever-rarer occasions they can persuade Zombie Joe to rise from his basement crypt—Alive! He’s alive! IT’S ALIIIIVE!!!—and dope his reanimated carcass up enough to prop him at least somewhat convincingly before a microphone, we have…

*crickets*

The enthusiasm that Trump generates is quite simply unprecedented, while enthusiasm for Biden is nowhere to be found. Folks, how can this be anything other than entirely dispositive? If this election is anything remotely resembling fair and honest, Biden will have trouble winning a single state. According to all visible evidence, Biden is well on his way to a drubbing of Mondale-esque proportions here (in 1984, Mondale won an embarrassing 13 electoral votes to Reagan’s 525, the worst election ass-whupping in American history).

Yet somehow, nobody really expects anything other than a hotly-contested election that most likely won’t be settled for weeks, if not months. In fact, there’s a very good chance this thing will end up being decided in the Supreme Court. But if the evidence that voter enthusiasm offers—easily discernible by numerous manifestations that are all right out there in plain sight—is any guide, Biden ought to just go ahead and give the concession speech now, while he still retains the power of speech.

Don’t get cocky? Yeah, yeah, I get that, and the truth is it’s probably sage advice. The Democrat-Socialist fraud machine may yet pull this off. But absolutely everything we can see says otherwise. I ain’t gonna go into what that says about the integrity of our election process, among other things. It speaks for itself, I think.

What the hell, why not update! Speaking of the Gramma’s Dying Wish Clause.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— At a somber ceremony this morning, leading government officials announced that the US Constitution, the oldest surviving national constitution and the founding document of the world’s leading democracy, will be entirely replaced by the last wishes of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“She was a super lady and everybody loved her,” said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. “I think the least we can do to honor her memory is get rid of that musty old Constitution, which I’ll remind you nobody likes anyway, and replace it with the last wishes of Justice Ginsburg, who was much less old and musty than the Constitution and definitely smelled much better, I promise you.”

Among the list of Ginsburg’s wishes that will now make up the governing principles of the nation are the right of all Americans to a nice bowl of soup, the requirement to have all thermostats set to 87 degrees year-round, and unlimited foot rubs with that bunion lotion they sell at the Walgreens.

Now that I’m getting old and decrepit myself, that all sounds pretty damned good to me.

Confirmation of what we all already knew

Bidens busted.

With the release Wednesday of Senator Ron Johnson’s (R-Wis.) long-awaited investigation into the Biden family’s corrupt, possibly criminal, ties to Ukraine and other countries, one thing is clear: Had the information in the report been made public a year ago, it’s nearly impossible to believe Joe Biden would still be the Democratic nominee for president.

The fall of 2019 seems like a lifetime ago, but it’s worth revisiting to give context to this bombshell report.

As the Democratic race for president took shape last year, the media started asking uncomfortable questions. “Will Hunter Biden Jeopardize His Father’s Campaign?” read the headline of a nearly 11,000-word exposé in the July 2019 issue of The New Yorker.

Other news organizations followed suit. Senate Republicans finally were zoning in on the shady business dealings of their former colleague’s son.

Well, you know the rest of the story. House Democrats successfully changed the subject by manufacturing an impeachment case against President Trump based on the account of a partisan “whistleblower” connected to Biden. The country, once again, was thrown into political chaos.

The Democrats’ gambit worked. They knew Trump would not be convicted by a Republican Senate, but Hunter Biden’s name quickly vanished from the headlines. America’s complicit news media cowered to the mob-like threats of Team Biden and have since kept their mouths shut. Hunter Biden, unscathed, even made a cameo appearance at the virtual Democratic National Convention.

Trump’s impeachment served two purposes: to bury one more scandal under the self-proclaimed “scandal free” Obama Administration and to save Joe Biden’s candidacy. It was straight-up interference with the 2020 election because without the impeachment diversions, it’s very likely that either Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren, not Biden, would be on the November ballot right now.

But, as the Democrat-Socialists bring their upcoming election-fraud plans further out into the clear light of day, how much can the identity of the lead puppets in the 202 Election-kabuki really matter? There can no longer be the least doubt about the intention here. Nor should any Real Americans be indulging themselves with soothing dismissals of their chances for successfully pulling this scheme off, either.

Don’t kid yourselves, people: with deadlines for counting (fraudulent) ballots extended recently in some putative toss-up states to as many as six (6!) days after election day, the Demonrats will be “finding” ballots all over the place—in trunks of cars, underneath whorehouse chaise-longues cushions, and tucked securely into the scrotum-pouch of Biden’s skidmarked Underoos—the totting-up continuing until they reach the number needed to “win.” Let’s not overlook just straight-up throwing Trump ballots away, either.

Then, after all the folding, spindling, mutilating, and simply discarding they deem necessary, the Democrat-Socialist election-theft apparatus will happily announce a tremendous, Constitution-saving Biden “victory,” followed by a demand that Trump be bodily expelled from the White House AT ONCE by the US military, to be tried and duly punished for Crimes Against The State The People Democracy. The order will be complied with by the Puzzle Palace with alacrity, an oh-so-somber, frowny-faced “concern” written all across the “honest” faces of the Blue Falcon flag officers “serving” in the Obama Replacement Corps.

Every bit of this hackery, jiggery-pokery, and brazen lawless chicanery enjoying the full-throated endorsement of Leftymedia, of course. Their choked-up, tear-streaked sincerity as these “journalists” report the Fake News with nearly 15% more fairness and impartiality than ever before—thereby saving the country and changing the course of history, just the way they were taught to in their J-school classes—will fairly well make the welkin ring with admiration for their selflessness and “patriotism.”

Such a fulsome realization of the “ethics” of their “noble” “profession,” demanding and uncompromising as those standards are, will surely swell the hearts of their countrymen with awestruck gratitude. Who among them dared to hope that such heroic courage, such dedication, such fierce resolve, might yet abide in their humble midst? O brave new world/That has such people in ‘t!

So let there be no further doubt about what’s coming: the Demonrats ARE GOING to steal this election. Not just “plan to”; not just “try to.” STEAL. IT. Lock, stock, and barrel. Which leaves us with but three things to be decided:

  • IMPORTANT: What, if anything, will Real Americans do about that, assuming there’s a damned thing that CAN be done about it?
  • MORE IMPORTANT: is there any limit or restriction on the actions undertaken in order to stop them?
  • THE WHOLE ENCHILADA: SHOULD there be?

Yep, Real Americans are caught on the horns of the prickliest dilemma this nation has ever faced, with absolutely everything riding on the direction they pick to jump off ’em. No matter what your religious convictions (if any) might be, the option of prayer has never looked like a more rational, realistic choice.

If you’re really interested in further discussion and analysis of the intricacies of Johnson’s and Grassley’s report, you can find some here and here.

Myself, I am emphatically NOT interested. As my post-title up there says, the report is merely formal confirmation of things we all already knew anyway. The election, the effort to hijack it, and the larger and rapidly-escalating conflict with the Left have totally eclipsed it.

Should the election turn out badly, there will be no further thought of addressing the crimes enumerated in the report anyway; it will go straight into the burn-bin of history, a non-event to be burned out of the national memory for all time. So to my mind, whatever relevance is still borne by it lies not in the details or conclusions therein, but entirely and exclusively in its usefulness as a weapon to obliterate not only Biden, but the Democrat-Socialist Party itself.

Schumer makes the case so I don’t have to

Schmuck.

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) vowed that Senate Democrats “will use every tool in the toolkit” to try to delay Republicans from filling Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Supreme Court seat.

Schumer said, “We have tactical options to slow them down. We will use every tool in the toolkit. Now, admittedly, McConnell has changed things, changed the rules, so we have fewer tools and they’re less sharp, but every tool we have we will use. Today, we delayed committees going into effect. We had the right to do that and we did it. Tonight, we’re on the floor taking up all the time on the floor to talk about how bad this potential nominee — and there will be many other things that we can use. You’ll see them in the days ahead.”

Which is exactly why this is how the thing ought to be done:

You do not have to have the Judiciary Committee conduct hearings. That’s only a tradition that evolved, and it’s something that’s taken place, but it is not required. It’s not mandated. It really isn’t, folks. The Senate does not get to pick their own nominee, which is what Chuck Schumer and the rest of the Democrats want you to think. They want you to think the president doesn’t have any idea what he’s doing, he doesn’t get a choice in the matter, only the Democrats get to choose, and they don’t. All the rest of this is nothing more than political posturing.

McConnell rule, and that was during the Merrick Garland controversy, and it said you don’t have a nomination in the final year of a presidency if the Senate is held by the opposing party. And that’s been largely true since 1880, and especially true since the court has become more political over the years. But there’s nothing that says that Trump can’t nominate a replacement. And there’s nothing that says the Senate cannot vote now.

Folks, I know the tendency is to believe the media on these things because our society is just overburdened with this false notion of fairness. There’s nothing about fairness in this. This is purely procedural. The president has the constitutional duty to name a replacement. The Senate gets to advise and consent, and that can be nothing more than a vote. They consent by voting “yes” or they don’t consent by turning down the nominee. But they don’t get three weeks to trash the guy unless they’re given it, but they’re not required.

So there’s no reason to wait. There is literally no reason to wait. There’s no requirement to wait. The 2020 election has nothing to do with this Supreme Court vacancy. The 2016 election has everything to do with it. And, by the way, it’s also not Justice Ginsburg’s seat. Her dying wish is that her seat not be filled until after the next — it’s not her seat. Like Kennedy’s seat in the Senate was not his seat. It is our seat, not hers.

Bingo, with great big bells on it. Short-circuit the whole disgusting Democrat-Socialist circus. Deny them the opportunity to viciously defame and destroy not just the poor nominee but his/her spouse, children, parents, all relatives going generations back, and the horse they all rode in on. Take every monkeywrench in Schumer’s precious little “toolkit” away from him, and blunt every “arrow” in Pee-lousy’s “quiver” too, by just flushing the hearing process entirely and moving straight to a Senate vote.

Then let the whole horde scream like howler monkeys with hemorrhoids, right up until the day Trump’s nominee is sworn in if they want to. There is absolutely no reason—Constitutional, ethical, or political—to continue playing the abhorrent Democrat-Socialist game, and every reason not to. They’ve warped the USSC confirmation process until it’s just a very unfunny joke on the entire country. The whole mess needs to be changed—lifted from the Swampy mire of dysfunction and remade into something Americans at least don’t have to be embarrassed about anymore.

So change it, then. Time to put this Demonrat dumpster fire out for good.

Specificity

When I said Codevilla had “called ’em all out” earlier, I didn’t imagine for a moment the way Julie Kelly would double, triple, and quadruple down on that idea.

Leader McConnell, you repeatedly lauded Mueller and his work. Senator Ben Sasse, who has remained silent on the real scandal—how Obama’s White House weaponized the most powerful government agencies in the world against Donald Trump—called Mueller an “exceptional public servant” and applauded his “record, character, and trustworthiness.” Senator John Cornyn, you assured us that Mueller is a “well-respected law enforcement professional.”

Senator Susan Collins, remember how you insisted Mueller “has sterling credentials and is above reproach?” You had no qualms back then about the appointment of an unelected, unchecked, and extra-constitutional partisan prosecutor, but now that you’re up for reelection the idea of filling a legitimate vacancy on the nation’s highest court based on clear constitutional guidance and precedent gives you the heebie-jeebies? What gives?

For all we know, without the involvement of William Barr in the spring of 2019, Mueller would still be conducting early morning raids on senior citizens to the delight of CNN viewers and you guys would still be paying the bills.

At the same time, you’ve been completely impotent in exposing Obamagate or holding anyone accountable. Letter after letter went unanswered. Deadlines expired without any repercussions. Promised public reckonings never happened; subpoenas for Obamagate perpetrators are still threatened as the clock runs out and public interest wanes.

Which reminds me that most of you have played along with the BLM movement in one way or another; bending the proverbial knee to agitators who despise everything you claim to honor. Some of you, including Leader McConnell, offered emotional tributes to George Floyd from the Senate floor last June and bolstered the Left’s mantra about “systemic racism.”

Senators Ron Johnson and James Lankford, remember when you suggested replacing Columbus Day with Juneteenth Day after Senator Johnson worked with his far-left colleague from Massachusetts to invent a new national holiday? That did wonders for racial comity since BLM vandals and ambushers have really settled down since then.

LOL.

OUCH. Julie’s gonna leave a mark with this one for sure.

Call to arms: STOP THE STEAL

Roger Stone responds to shitlib outrage over the Alex Jones interview I mentioned the other night—with both barrels, right square into their pinched, smarmy faces.

And it is BEAUTIFUL.

Before Trump blew their minds with his unprecedented annihilation of their pompous, lazy, treacherous, and epically corrupt nominee, numerous well-known Democrats (along with a number of now-obsolete never-Trumper RINO’s) made sure to add their smirking little sureties to that epically-smug, soon-to-be-humiliated-beyond-belief chorus of know-it-all blowhard pundits and overexposed celebrity big mouths who assured the world, with metaphysical certitude, that Donald Trump would NEVER(!) be president.

Little did they know what was about to happen. But now they do know, and are surely prepared to do anything to make themselves right this time.

Which brings us to the Democrats’ other insufferable speech-slurring female windbag, cult leader and perpetual political parasite – Pelosi, Nancy. One each (thank God). Madame (Speaker) and countless other Democrat seditionists, socialists and communists have repeatedly made demagogic statements to the effect that Trump will “not be re-elected… NO MATTER WHAT”.

Aside from their nearly four years of deceitful partisan machinations, phony investigations, and the repugnant Adam Schiff as their implementer of nonstop war against the president and his allies, their constant bleating that Trump would be removed from office, one way or another, was certainly not idle. Just like their counterfeit impeachment, they were blatantly admitting up front that they would stop at nothing, that no public interest or duty was too sacred, to toss aside in the cause of vanquishing our President.

Further proof of this destructive seditious insanity they are intent on inflicting on the country is the astonishing statement by an increasingly mentally-unstable Hillary Clinton, almost insisting that Joe Biden must not and can never concede “under any circumstances”, presumably to include even Trump’s winning the election by a landslide or really any result that re-elects the president. This psychopath could not restrain her seething vengeful mania and intent to  burn down the country and end the American Republic than permit Donald Trump’s re-election. Given this type of extremist rhetoric (from some of the most ruthless criminals the world has ever known) a few million fraudulent ballots is child’s play.

It is clear from their own big mouths that the only thing the Democrats have not lied about is their intent to perpetrate an unprecedented fraud upon the American people and that they will never accept a democratically-derived decision by the American people, if it results in Donald Trump’s re-election as president.

This is why we must not only be prepared for what happens on election day, but also do everything we can between now and November 3rd to protect the integrity of our elections and STOP THE STEAL.

It’s a long ‘un, it’s as righteous a blast of full-bore truth as I’ve ever beheld, and trust me, you are going to love it. Bravo to you, Mr Stone.

NUTS!

Cadaver Joe has lost it.

Joe Biden is in the early stages of dementia and is on medication for it.

“This is the big one, and the one I have the least direct experience with, but it’s been an open secret for some time. Anyone who has had a relative with Alzheimer’s or dementia can tell you, there are good days and bad days. On the good days, when Joe is at his most lucid, his campaign manager Jen will send him out for photo ops or TV interviews… make hay while the sun is shining, you know? On the bad days, Jen just tells the press pool “No Joe today,” and they’re all like, “Okay, cool!” Most of the time, he’s just a little foggy and gets really agitated. But one of my co-workers told me that back in May, there was a day where he thought he was running against Gary Hart in the ’84 primary again. Joe went under wraps for several days after that.

He’s been more lucid recently because his physician, Dr. O’Connor, put him on Namenda. Jen apparently was worried about someone finding it out, because she insisted that he prescribe it under a series of phony names, and then have the interns pick it up. I bet there are a lot of pharmacists in Philly wondering why there are so many young people on Namenda.

The dementia medication has had, um… unfortunate side effects.

There’s no dancing around this… the medication has made Joe incontinent. Though his “good days” have increased dramatically, he can barely get through a press event without running to the bathroom. That’s why he didn’t take questions after announcing Harris as his running mate. They weren’t afraid of the questions, the press loves him… they were afraid he was going to piss his pants on-camera. Lately, Jen’s been having closed-door meetings to discuss which brand of incontinence pads would be best to purchase. Seriously, a group of paid staffers sat around and discussed which brands were the least visible, the least likely to leak, and wouldn’t audibly “crinkle.”

That’s around the time I left the campaign. I can’t be a party to this sick game anymore. I never really liked Joe Biden, but he deserves better than to be thrust into the public eye when he should be in memory care. His wife should put a stop to this, but she’s way too excited about being “First Lady” to care about her ailing husband.”

That’s from an anonymous former Biden staffer, of whose credibility Thomas Lifson is cautiously dubious:

Normally, I would spurn the idea of citing an anonymous post that purports to contain inside information on a presidential candidate. But two factors currently weigh on my mind, causing me to make an exception.

One is that MSM Trump-haters have no compunction at all over relying exclusively on anonymous sources. The Atlantic used to be prestigious, and regarded as the gold standard for rigorous reporting and editing, and yet went with allegations against President Trump that are completely incongruent with his other behavior: expressing contempt for wounded and dead veterans.

That alone would not be enough.

But the other factor is more serious and directly relevant to the anonymous post I am about to cite.

The Biden campaign clearly is hiding their candidate from exposure to circumstances that might test his mental acuity and vigor on a sustained basis. We now have direct evidence that the campaign has been deceiving the public by using a teleprompter for Biden to read when allegedly answering questions in an alleged interview. The campaign’s chief spokesman evaded answering a direct question about teleprompter use during faux interviews.

Thus, we know that the critical question of Biden’s ability to discharge his duties if elected is being deceptively evaded. That, in my mind, opens the door to consider what is claimed to be an insider’s account of the true state of Biden’s health, now that we know his campaign would deceive us on this question.

We know full well, or damned well ought to by now, that they’d deceive anybody on absolutely anything at all in order to seize and retain power for themselves. These ARE Democrats we’re talking about here, after all.

Update! Further evidence, as if it were needed, from Howie Carr:

Yes, it will be great TV when Biden takes the stage with Trump.

If Joe’s being given his answers to recite via an earpiece, the Trump campaign will jam those transmissions. If Biden is allowed a Teleprompter (doubtful), the president will sneak up behind him and read Joe’s answer for him before Hidin’ Biden even realizes what’s happening.

I’ll leave you with one of Joe’s longer perorations of the week, as usual an attack on the incumbent. He began with a sneeze and then let it rip:

“He promised his administration would enforce every last buy in American provision on behalf of the American people and what makes his wild claims and hopes, he now hopes we don’t notice what he said or won’t remember and when he does follow through or doesn’t do when follow through, the exact opposite.”

May we quote you on that, Mr. Vice President?

In all fairness to Senile Uncle Gropey, it must be said that he was never really all that bright anyway.

Tell it like it is

I’m loving this one, too.

Roger Stone Calls for Trump to Declare Martial Law If He Loses
Pardoned Roger Stone is making extraordinary calls for President Donald Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act if he loses on Election Day.

“I don’t want to overplay the facts here, but if somebody would study the president’s authority in the Insurrection Act and his ability to impose Martial Law if there’s widespread [fraud], if he will have the ability to arrest [Facebook founder Mark] Zuckerberg, to arrest [Apple CEO] Tim Cook, to arrest the Clintons, to arrest anybody else who can be proven to be involved in illegal activity,” Stone, political trickster, told Alex Jones’ “InfoWars” on Thursday.

Curiously, there’s a link embedded in the “Alex Jones” portion of the above text that, for some odd reason, goes to Media Matters instead. As one would expect, the MM drivel copiously moans and kvetches that the VERY IDEA of widespread Democrat-Riot Party election fraud—a practice they’ve diligently, consistently pursued since Tammany Hall, if not before—is a “baseless accusation,” “entirely unfounded,” a “conspiracy theory” which “would likely intimidate potential Joe Biden voters.”

Snort. I can think of a thousand and one much better ways to “intimidate” them, bitch. Including a few, shall we say, permanent ones. Anyways.

“There’s going to be widespread, obvious, blatant, flagrant illegality,” Stone continued. “The authority exists to stop that. It will have to be used, if necessary.

“I do not advocate preventive detention, but people who commit crimes and think they can continue to get away with it, because we have a two-tiered justice, are just wrong.”

“This is not complicated and it is 100% legal,” Stone concluded.

“Force will have to be met with force. That’s the way this is going to have to work. It’s really unfortunate. I’m not an advocate of that. I’d like to have an honest election in which the real winner takes office. The real winner will not be Joe Biden. There is too much voter fraud already going on in Florida and Nevada.”

Correct in every particular. But it’ll be the “force met with force” part that will really resonate before all is said and done, I’m afraid.

Via Bill, who laments that “Trump won’t do it,” and I’m afraid he’s all too right also.

The Empire strikes back

Is there really anything left to conserve?

After 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed in self-defense two left-wing rioters in Kenosha, Wisconsin, credit card issuer Discover blocked its users’ ability to donate to his legal defense fund. Twitter suspended the accounts of journalists who wrote, “Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong.” Facebook removed posts and videos—that is to say, evidence—that showed Rittenhouse in a positive light while threatening to delete the accounts of offenders sharing the verboten content.

“We’ve designated the shooting in Kenosha a mass murder and are removing posts in support of the shooter,” a Facebook spokesperson said. Along with the media, Silicon Valley proudly plays the part of judge, jury, and character assassin.

Throw a stone, and you’re sure to hit a major company that supports Antifa or Black Lives Matter. Throw a brick through Nike’s window, help yourself to some new shoes, and the multinational corporation will still pledge allegiance to your cause, a cause that receives sanction from much of the federal government as well. After all, that brick is great free advertising.

Based on a threat analysis conducted in August, three Department of Homeland Security draft reports concluded “white supremacist extremists [present] the most lethal threat” facing Americans headed into 2021. None of the drafts mentioned Antifa or Black Lives Matter as a domestic terrorism risk, but ranked “white supremacists” as a threat higher than foreign terrorist groups. The reason Antifa has not been designated a terrorist organization, as Trump said they would in late May, might be that DHS thinks straight, white males clinging to their Bibles and guns pose a more significant threat to our way of life.

A somber enough start, for sure, but we’re after bigger fish here.

To date, the ideological framework and power centers with which the elites justify their untouchable status, social functions, and influence remain fundamentally unchallenged. In the middle of an elite reaction, the Republican Party appears preoccupied with proving it isn’t racist.

“Conservatism” is not the tool we need when American society recently suffered a complete cultural revolution that created the consensus against which Trump crusaded to the White House, and which the ruling class is attempting to reassert. While socially conservative sentiments and aims are good, the only way to go back to what was, at this point, is to employ revolutionary tactics. Unless we find the will to disembowel the institutional entrails of the elites, their reactionary intrigue will only worsen. But this will be an impossible task if we view ourselves as the “conservative” force, as we should be working to overthrow rather than conserve the conditions that empower the ruling class to dispossess Americans of control over their national destiny.

If the aim is merely to survive this “revolution” and win elections, then we have only delayed the cycle a little while longer. To break the cycle, the engine of intrigue must be destroyed. We need the equivalent of the Hungarian “Stop Soros” laws. Entire federal agencies must be downsized and outright abolished. We must take to task corporations that have bankrolled mayhem and misinformed the public through censorship. If we do not do these things, elections will not matter in the end.

Given the cartoonish farce the Democrat-Riot Party has presented us, featuring Cadaver Joe being occasionally trotted out to flail and flub his way through another sparsely attended public appearance—hopefully without having shat his Depends before his wardens can hustle him back into lockdown in his secure, undisclosed basement—can we honestly tell ourselves that they matter all that much now?
