Making their move

Ready for the New World Order? Because ready or not, here it comes.

Anyone remember voting for the World Health Organization to take control of our lives? No? Me, neither. And yet here we are, teetering on the brink of joining most of the countries of the world in surrendering our national sovereignty under the terms of a proposed new pandemic treaty.

Once British ink is dry on the necessary paperwork, we and most of the rest of the billions living on planet earth will, in the event of another pandemic, take our instructions not from politicians we actually voted for – and could, hypothetically at least, have the option of getting rid of – but from the unelected, faceless, bureaucrats of the WHO.

This is no conspiracy theory, by the way. No tin hats required. This is real and happening now. And a whole lot of people would rather you weren’t paying attention.

It is worth remembering that President Donald Trump insisted on divorce from the WHO – on the grounds that it was too close to China, only for President Biden to remarry them again in 2021. All of that is history, however. In a matter of days, the World Health Assembly will meet in Geneva for a vote on the treaty. The target date for final ratification is in May 2024, but by then the power grab will have long been completed.

Amendments written into the proposed treaty by the re-enamored Biden administration will see 194 nations cede sovereignty over national health care decisions to the WHO. The WHO would thereby have decision-making power over and above our own government – and every other government.

Consider this – when you watch footage of the 26 million people of Shanghai locked down in their homes, their cats and dogs beaten to death in the street…the WHO would, by the terms of the new treaty, have the power to impose the same on cities here. Know too, that under the terms of the treaty, the WHO does not – does not – have to show any data to legitimize its conclusions or decisions.

It is also worth knowing, to say the least, that it would be up to the WHO to define what the next pandemic is. Seeing how things are going, I would hardly be surprised to hear about a pandemic of obesity, or of heart attacks – followed by the lockdowns and other restrictions to deal with same.

No doubt lockdowns to fix the climate can’t be far away either. In the case of climate, the WHO might draw the conclusion that we, the human species, are the virus. Who knows what they might conclude and decide then?

Be in no doubt – this so-called pandemic treaty is the single, greatest global power grab that any of us has seen in our lifetime. It is nothing less than the groundwork, the laying of deep foundations for global governance through the WHO.

That’s from the transcript of a Neil Oliver monologue Sundance has up at his place, and it’s sobering stuff indeed, in the places where it’s not outright terrifying. Oliver closes with a plainspoken promise of unyielding defiance which echoes several things I’ve been saying myself for a long time now.

I am, even by my own estimate, the unlikeliest of rebels.

All I know is that I have, for a period now measurable in years, been opposed to those in power here, and also all but a handful of those vying to replace them. For the longest time I have cared not a jot what those jokers try and tell me to do. The evidence coming out now, about lockdown harms, about vaccine harms, tells me I was right to follow my own path. In short, I have had enough of the lot of them. They do not speak for me or in any way matter to me.

If this pandemic treaty comes to pass, I will disregard it. I will ignore any future lockdown ordained by any power. I will take no mandated vaccine, not while I have breath in my body.

The WHO and all its little wizards can take a running jump. The men in suits can sign whatever treaties they want. I don’t care. Not one of them – not Johnson, Trudeau, Macron and the rest – has the stomach for the wet-work that would be required to put their authoritarian plans into action.

We owe it to ourselves. Perhaps we even owe it to them – to tell them that they are living in a fantasy world of their own creation and that we want none of it.

Let them have the gall to seek to sign away our freedoms in such a high-handed manner, this month, or in 2024. I for one am not playing along.

Nor will I. But I must say I’m not nearly as sanguine as Neil is about how much “stomach for the wet-work” those “leaders” he mentions, as well as others, might have. I’d bet that, when it comes to the less generously melanin-enhanced, they’ll find it no problem at all to cram us into the gas chambers by the boxcar-load. Hey, it ain’t as if other like-minded political leaders have never done it before, you know. I do find it pretty rich that this time, the mailed fist of global tyranny is hidden in the velvet glove of the “health care” establishment.

Count on it: after the remarkable success of the Fauxvid trial run, from here on out we’ll be experiencing “pandemic” after “pandemic,” manufactured crises one after another after another—an endless parade of them, all accompied by the same fear-mongering, clampdowns both economic, societal, and personal, and generalized despotic oppression on an ever-widening scale. The nightmare will continue unless and until enough of these insatiable deer-ticks have been detached from the skin of the body politic and had a lit match applied directly to their asses until they shrivel up and die.

The enemies of human freedom and individual rights are emboldened, flush with a long string of uncontested triumphs, and unshakeably confident that ultimate mastery is all but guaranteed them. They have the initiative, the momentum, and the ever-important habit of victory spoken of by every legendary general since Sun Tzu.

The Enemy has seen nothing from Our Side so far but complacency, irresolution, and pusillanimity of mind, body, and spirit. One simple fact must be faced now: this doesn’t end until we end it. I can see no way that that happens without bloodshed, and I mean plenty of it too. If we can’t at long last get our heads firmly wrapped around that admittedly harsh reality, then the thorough rogering we’re about to get will be no more than what we deserve.

Update! It’s never the wrong time for a rerun.

Digging this gem up got me to looking back at its genesis to refresh my failing memory. Here’s a little history, for any young ‘uns reading this who may not have been around in those days.

Was Breitbart just a combative thug who saw our domestic political debates as a constant battle? Was he a combative, uncivil jerk who engaged in a war with fellow Americans rather than a civil and polite debate of differing ideas?

I’m saddened that “#War” has become so synonymous with Andrew’s memory and legacy because he was not, by nature, a warrior. He was not angry. He was not always looking for a fight. He was hilarious he was generous he was affectionate and he was deeply intellectual. He would much rather debate and cajole and get tipsy with someone who disagreed with him. His instinct was not to pick a fight or start a war.

Actually, I’m sure Breitbart was perfectly capable of being obnoxious, unpleasant, and obstreperous at times, just like anybody else is. Which doesn’t matter in the least; there’s no need, really, to defend him against those accusations, which to any fair-minded person merely confirm that he was, y’know, a human being. At the end of the day, the more important thing to know about Andrew is that he was a forthright, indomitable visionary who refused to shrink from the ugly truth about the nature, character, and intentions of The Enemy. Of course he’d much prefer a civilized, non-rancorous but still vigorous debate between two honorable, mutually-respectful opponents over a few adult beverages to the ever-more-literal state of war we’ve been dragged into today. What sane, decent person wouldn’t?

That said, though, Breitbart was intelligent enough, perceptive enough, and honest enough with himself to acknowledge the thin red line which distinguishes an opponent from an enemy. I never met the man, alas, but I have no doubt that if he was still around today Andrew wouldn’t dispute the inescapable fact that the Left wilfully, knowingly crossed that line several years back, and to date have evinced not the slightest regret over the decision. It came as no surprise to anyone who’d been paying attention, being more akin to a stripper peeling off that final, most itty-bitty scrap of clothing than some kind of shocking, undreamed-of revelation.

Let’s remember, for a moment, the first time the “War” idea escaped from Andrew’s lips.

It was CPAC 2012 and the crowd was buzzing in the main room at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel. This would be the final year the conservative conference was held at the cozy DC confines just a stones-throw from the national zoo.

The room was cramped and anticipation was high for the next speaker. In prior years he had addressed the devoted, conservative base on Saturday morning, a speaking slot reserved for niche personalities who could bring out the faithful on “hangover Saturday.” But today, February 10, 2012, Andrew Breitbart was the main attraction.

The 2012 primaries were in full tilt. Republicans were seemingly split between Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum. Earlier that morning Andrew and I hosted the Dennis Miller Show on nationally syndicated Westwood One radio from the CPAC radio row. On the air (or was it off the air, with Andrew there was hardly ever a difference) he lamented the fact that Republicans were fighting amongst themselves. He just wanted the primary fight over with.

“I really don’t care who the nominee is,” he said. “I just want to fight the Left.”

…As the lights dimmed in the main ballroom a giant screen descended on stage. A specially edited trailer of the upcoming documentary Hating Breitbart by filmmaker Andrew Marcus began. A giant, extreme close-up of Breitbart talking to the gathered throng with a pitch-black background filled the screen. The crowd went nuts. You could hardly even hear what he was saying.

“I am so sick of the media dictating the narrative in this country. I’m so sick of having to be apologetic for who I am. I’m so sick of people in middle America being called ‘fly-over country’ or ‘slope-headed.’

The trailer then cuts to various members of the mainstream media deriding grassroots conservatives as “tea-baggers.” Mocking them. Insulting them. Treating them like their voices aren’t important… like they have no legitimate right to speak out about the left-ward lurch their country had taken during the Obama presidency.

The two minute trailer ends with Breitbart saying:

“And what the Left has stood for with political correctness is to try to get those with whom they disagree to shut up. And the tea party movement and Sarah Palin and Michele Bachman and Allen West and all the people that have gone out there against the mainstream media and said ‘You’re gonna call us racist, you’re gonna call us potential Timothy McVeighs?

F**k. You.

War.”

And the place went nuts.

Andrew died less than three weeks after this iconic moment.

One of the most damaging losses Our Side has ever sustained, a crippling blow from which we may well never fully recover. Rather than just wringing our hands in lamentation, though, don’t you think Andrew would like it a whole lot better if we avenged him by resolving to fight this war as if we meant to win the damned thing?

Words mean things

Has there ever been more productive ground for Leftist linguistic manipulation than the abortion issue?

It’s always a red flag when accurate vocabulary becomes verboten. “Pro-Choice” is just one of many Orwellian phrases adopted by TPA (Team Pro-Abortion—M). There’s also “products of conception” for the physical remains of the dead fetus. National Public Radio, Wikipedia, and the New York Times say “abortion care” rather than “abortion,” trying to transform an ugly word into a pretty one by appending the suffix “care.” Kind of like “siphoning-the-brain-out-of-the skull care” or “dismemberment care.”

On NPR, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries ranted about wicked Republicans denying women “health care.” I don’t think Jeffries ever used the word “abortion.” Abortion: you must love it, but can’t see it, and you can’t say it. TPA even gets worked up about the word “abortionist,” insisting that “abortion provider” be used. The word “abortionist” is comparable to the phrase “final solution,” one doctor writes, apparently unaware of how revealing his comment is.

A human fetus is “a clump of cells.” And that is not the worst thing they call a human fetus. The Facebook page “Occupy Democrats” posted a meme that encourages viewers to conflate a human fetus with an animal fetus, as per the falsehoods circulated by influential Darwinist and eugenicist Ernst Haeckel. Under this meme, a poster remarked that a human fetus is comparable to his “boogers,” that is, snot. Another post remarked, “Birthing babies is the emotional distraction to creating a Fascist country.” A Facebook friend holds a PhD in the hard sciences. On his page, one of his leftist friends compared a human fetus to “cancer.” I did not see my scientist friend object. Rather, he said, “Instead of referring to the embryo as a ‘clump of cells,’ given the demographics, it might be more accurate to say ‘future cartel enforcer,’ or ‘future STD-infected crack ho.'” He said this because low income black and Hispanic women are much more likely to get abortions.

In any case, if TPA’s chosen God – perhaps Oprah or Obama – came down from Heaven and announced to them in unambiguous language that a fetus is a human life, they would still be Pro-Abortion. They celebrate selfish power of the strong over the weak as the highest virtue, and vulnerability and dependence as crimes justifying capital punishment. A popular Facebook page makes just this argument. “It doesn’t matter whether a fetus is a human being or not…it doesn’t matter if we are talking about a fertilized egg, a baby, or a five year old.” We are stronger so we have the right to kill.

Another Facebook friend, someone who spends hours devoted to animal rescue, said that she believes in abortion up to and including infanticide of a born child. Killing is morally acceptable, she argued, if a child – a dependent human being – is unwanted by anyone who will meet the child’s needs.

Atheist and Princeton University ethicist Peter Singer concurs. Infants, “because they are not ‘persons,’ have no interest in staying alive, and it is only superstition that makes us think that killing them is intrinsically wrong…Infants with known disabilities … do not bring the same amount of happiness into the lives of their parents … the very fact that someone is disabled means that he or she will have an unhappier life … Singer argues that it should be legal for parents to decide to have their disabled infants killed up to 28 days after birth.”

The left, I was sure, was all about being kind. About championing the oppressed. About condemning selfishness, greed, exploitation. We were on the side of prisoners on death row, of striking workers, of the handicapped who needed government services. We were anti-fur and pro-vegan.

Why were we betraying the most vulnerable humans of all? Why were we championing a morality that privileged the selfish convenience of the powerful ignoring the very lives of the powerless?

My comrades’ dedication to the oppressed was nothing more than a theatrical production in service to a narrative. It was all sets, costumes, scripts. Yes, yes, the left will tell you that they champion the powerless. When they tell you that, they are exiting objective reality and entering the gauzy realm of fairytale storytelling. The left simply takes the costume, “The Victim,” and the other costume, “The Oppressor,” and assigns those costumes to serve political ends.

Thus, the woman choosing to abort the life inside her is draped in “The Victim” costume. She chose to have consensual sex, knowing full well that intercourse creates life. Who victimized her? Amerikkka, of course; who else? You had to ask??? An astounding meme now circulates. It insists that America forces women to get pregnant and have children. This meme from “Susan of Texas” has been shared thousands of times.

With the deft touch of a pickpocket, the left has transposed The Victim role from the life form that ends up dismembered in a petri dish – the fetus – to the woman choosing to terminate that life. The antagonist is not the fetus; the fetus is erased through euphemism. It’s a “clump of cells.” Rather, the antagonist is “misogyny,” “patriarchy,” or “The Catholic Church.” In objective reality, none of these made the choice for sexual intercourse that the woman made; in the leftist theatrical production they are all the mustache-twirling villains who control the poor, poor woman’s agency. They got her pregnant, not her own choices.

Follows, a detailed, step-by-step description of the abortion process that is so gruesome, so macabre, the horror of it would have to leave any decent, compassionate human being physically ill. A former Planned Parenthood director, Annette Lancaster, speaks of her experience of it in the bleakest terms:

She’d seen and dealt with sick and injured people, and witnessed surgeries. But nothing prepared her…’to actually see…the workers piecing the baby back together in a petri dish…I’ve seen many women break down and cry.'”

This is done to make sure no pieces of the slaughtered infant are left behind inside the woman to rot and cause a potentially life-threatening infection.

Lancaster said in an interview that she and her co-workers could not bring themselves to talk to outsiders about their grim tasks. Rather, they gathered with other abortionists and abused drugs and alcohol to cope “with the things that we did and the things that we saw.” After an “abortion day…we would say that we were having a staff meeting…we would get pretty intoxicated.” Even her children noted a change in Lancaster. She would refer to the women who came for abortions as “cows” and “cattle.” “We called the trashcan where we would put the aborted babies the ‘nursery.'” She underwent a “hardening of the heart”

Well my God in Heaven, I should think so, yeah. Unless one is a soulless, sadistic psychopath, how could it possibly be otherwise?

This lengthy, impassioned screed makes for some damned unpleasant reading. Nonetheless, it is an essential piece, maybe as important a one as I can remember seeing right offhand, and it covers a lot of ground. Of course and as usual, the very people who need to read it most…won’t.

Don’t look now

Looks like somebody didn’t get the “Saddam had NO WMDs” memo.

Gulf War Syndrome mystery SOLVED: US scientists blame the condition on SARIN gas released into the air when Iraq’s chemical weapons cache was bombed

  • Quarter of veterans who served in Gulf War suffering unexplained symptoms
  • Scientists left flummoxed by the cause fatigue, memory problems and body pain
  • But now US study has found the usually fatal nerve gas sarin is to blame

UNPOSSIBLE, I SAY!!! I have been assured by All The Best People that Saddam had no WMDs, never did have them, and had no interest whatsoever in acquiring any. The whole thing was just a lie dreamed up by Chimperor Shrub II to provide an excuse for launching his Forever War against an entirely blameless nation for the sole reason that the damned drunken fool believed that Saddam was plotting to assassinate Daddy Shrub. All those truckloads of WMDs that were seen filing into Syria for safekeeping just before Operation Desert Shrub opened had no WMDs in them, either.

In fact, there’s NO SUCH THING AS WMDs, period. Even if there were, Moslem shitrapies in the Middle East would be the last place you’d be likely to find them, Pisslam being the Religion Of Peace™ and all that. Hey, did you know that the word “Islam” actually means “Peace” when translated into English? Because it does. I bet you didn’t know that at all, did ya, H8R? Well, you do now.

“The Insurgency Lesson of Michael Collins”

Turns out, he has much to teach us.

In 1916, while the Irish rebels were led to a near certain death after having been defeated during the Easter Rebellion, Michael Collins decided he would fight the world’s most powerful empire differently, if he ever got the chance. Michael Collins got that chance in 1918, and he fought differently. In fact, modern successful insurgencies are largely modeled on Collins’ strategic concept.

Collins recognized that the oppressive powers that had their boots on the necks of the Irish people enjoyed power over the economy, information (news papers at the time), police, military, and the courts. No one was going to fight the British and win using British strategies. The only way to win was to fight differently.

For the preceding six-plus decades, the Irish Republican Brotherhood built a parallel state within Ireland. This was necessary for two reasons: (1) if independence was achieved, an Irish managerial class and network needed to step in and manage Ireland; (2) in order for independence to be achieved, Irish rebels needed competent intelligence resources. Collins recognized the value of both and used them successfully. But how did Collins win Irish independence when sixteen prior attempts failed? The targeting of bureaucrats.

The Irish Flying Columns disrupted British rule in the countryside, but they never really landed a true killer blow. What they did achieve, however, was that each successful attack (A) shook confidence in British capacity among Irish locals and (B) invested the locals in asymmetric attrition warfare. Melting back into the farms was critical to Irish successes outside of Dublin. Meanwhile, simultaneously, Collins and his Squad (or Twelve Apostles) of hitmen targeted mid-level bureaucrats for assassination.

Collins, a former bureaucrat himself, understood that senior leaders in British bureaucracy were fairly useless political appointees – not unlike the United States today. Targeting them was useless. The middle managers were the true strength of the British Empire – collecting taxes, disseminating intelligence, feeding news sources, etc, etc. By killing them, Collins was eliminating functional British Rule.

More importantly, not only did each lost beaureaucrat take critical business continuity knowledge to the grave, junior bureaucrats feared promotion. Why accept the role of Deputy X, even with higher pay and prestige, if Deputy X keeps getting killed? This began to destroy British capacity in Ireland.

The insurgency lesson of Collins, therefore, was not to simply attack the teeth of the oppressor, but to dismantle the ability of the teeth to strike – by selectively targeting individual bureaucrats for elimination.

This is a pluperfect primer on how insurgents might remove the tyrant’s boot from off their necks, to which I have nothing to add.

Monstrous trains

An aspect of the supply chain collapse most of us haven’t given a lot of thought to, if any.

Imagine a train 16,400 feet in length weighing 17,500 tons: That is three miles, 560 feet and 35 million pounds. One train. And it is hauling hazmat, tanks of say, chlorine gas, or anhydrous ammonia. Just one tank car alone weighs 131 tons, that is 262,000 pounds. To give an example from history, 262,000 pounds of chlorine gas is approximately two-thirds of what the German army used during the trench warfare of all of WWI. One tank car alone.

“And then we pick up more enroute! My conductor is three miles away while I reverse this train into an active rail yard! Crossings don’t matter, and communities? Are you kidding? No sane country would move materials like this. These trains exceed the coupler and drawbar limits of the very cars themselves. The risks the Class I carriers are taking is a race to disaster. It is absolutely dreadful and grotesque.

Another Precision Scheduled Railroading factor in supply chain failure: Even when the majority of these PSR trains make it, without dramatic ends, they rarely get across the road during a crew members hours of service (HOS) time limit, which is 12 hours. Several factors:

“The rail infrastructure, in particular rail yards and sidings, were designed and built during the great Industrial Age. They did a lot of things right: they overbuilt bridges, for one. But it is not a failure of imagination that they could not foresee, from a sane perspective, that someday the bosses would want to normalize 15,000-foot trains.

“Yards and sidings do not accommodate this scale. It is a clash of function and design. So, imagine this: A 15,800-foot train with distributed power locomotives placed in the middle and at the rear of a train, comes to work a station with 4,500-foot tracks and needs to pick up and set out cars in the middle and rear of the train. This will not be lickety-split.

Plenty more at the link, all of it both fascinating and terrifying at once. Bayou Pete follows up:

All I can say is, my hat’s off to anyone who takes on a job like that. The stress must be beyond most people’s imagination. Also, if something goes badly wrong and the train is involved in a major derailment or collision, the crew’s safety is probably anything but guaranteed. The inertia built up by such weights, at such speeds, makes it impossible to slow down or stop in any meaningfully short distance. The crew are going to have to jump for their lives (at speeds almost guaranteed to cause serious injury or death) or ride it all the way to impact, in the desperate hope they won’t be smeared all over the wreckage like strawberry jam. That’s not much of a choice.

When I think of the long, long trains of tank cars and chemical cars that I see rumbling through our little town every single day, and realize that even one of those cars carries enough potentially lethal cargo to kill every person within city limits in a matter of minutes…it puts a whole new perspective on rail safety.

Don’t it, though. Don’t it just. Over the years I’ve known a cpl-three guys who worked as train engineers, brakemen, even one out in Arizona who was a conductor, if I remember right, for Amtrak. My cousin Steve, who has had a huge fascination with trains his whole life and is locally famous for his incredible collection of HO-scale model railroad builds, used to say to me: “I really wanted to work for the railroad, until I found out the job would involve having to go out and decouple those big steel boxcars during a lightning storm. That’s when I lost all interest in it.” As it happens, that’s also when I realized how happy I was that I’d never had any interest in it to start with.

The Great Unmentionable

Andrea wonders why nobody seems to be asking a certain simple question.

Fewer than ten years ago, even Planned Parenthood acknowledged that abortion is a “difficult decision.” On its website in 2022, it no longer does.

On the pro-abortion side, many women offer variations of the same two arguments: (1) I had things other than motherhood that I wanted to do with my life, and (2) it was the best thing I could do for the baby because it wouldn’t have had a good life with me. Regarding the second argument, I’d love to see a person charged with the murder of an adult successfully make that same argument: “Yeah, I had to kill my wife because I couldn’t support her in the way I wanted for her. Killing her was the best choice for me and for her.”

For those who say it was a hard choice, the logical question is “Why? Why was it a hard choice?” If the pro-abortion side is correct — that the fetus is not a baby, is an insensate bundle of cells, is inseparable from the woman’s body so it’s like having an appendix removed, or is lacking the intellectual or emotional capacity to have an existential desire for life — abortion should be no harder than eating chicken for dinner. (I have no idea how vegetarian and vegan women justify abortion.)

Pro-life people seldom ask women the “why” question because they already know the answer: a fetus is an independent life within the woman, who is both life-giver and incubator. This is not a conspiracy by the White patriarchy; it’s a biological fact of life. But still, what pro-lifers must do moving forward is to ask the question every time. Only in that way can they force women to acknowledge what they’re saying when they proudly recount that they had an abortion even while acknowledging the tough decision they made: they sacrificed a human life for their own benefit.

Funny, innit, that Lefty women would find that idea troubling, given the Left’s perennial emphasis on selfishness and “living your best life” and all that rot. Funnier still is how often Leftards manage to undercut their own arguments this way; as I’ve been saying for years, your typical, standard-issue shitlib will contradict himself eighteen times before lunch every day. Reminds me of another abortion-issue oxymoron:

The debate concerning “fetal homicide” hinges on the issue of fetuses killed by violent acts against pregnant women. Pro-life advocates typically support legislation that defines the fetus as a person under fetal homicide laws, or otherwise confers rights or protections upon the fetus or unborn child. Common references to such laws include the Fetal Protection Act, the Preborn Victims of Violence Act and the Unborn Victim of Violence Act. Those supporting these laws say that both the lives of the pregnant woman and the fetus should be explicitly protected. They assert that fetal homicide laws justly criminalize these cases and address both unborn children and their mothers.

Currently, at least 38 states have fetal homicide laws.

This obvious contradiction can’t go on forever. Is it a developing human life, or is it a gaggle of cells with no more moral or emotional heft than a random wad of pocket lint? Sooner or later, society will be forced to settle on whether it’s going to be the one, or the other.

Diversity-Americans: not up to snuff

Forget it, Jake, it’s Coontown.

When you order ice cream, you don’t want to hear “We’re out” or “It’s broken,” yet it has been happening so often across the United States in recent years that it became somewhat of a cultural meme that spawned considerable media interest. Reports indicate that up to a quarter of McDonald’s ice cream machines are not operational at any given time.

Ice cream sales make up 3% of total McDonald’s sales (over $22 billion annually), amounting to about a quarter of a billion dollars a year. If the company is losing out on roughly 25% of that, we have a $56 million question on our hands every year.

Media outlets looking to cover the story and capitalize on the “McBroken” meme published dozens of quite lousy pieces concluding that the extensive cleaning process and heat sanitization cycle are to blame for the machine’s maladies. I never bought that story for a few reasons. One thing that doesn’t add up with the “cleaning” explanation is why any restaurant would clean a machine while it is open, and how it could be true that ten to 25% of all working hours in them are dedicated to “cleaning.” Perhaps nobody wants to clean the machines, so they merely say that it is not working.

Then, in April 2021, a YouTuber named Johnny Harris uploaded a now-viral video with over nine million views titled, “The REAL Reason McDonald’s Ice Cream Machines Are Always Broken.” In this 30-minute exposé, Harris elaborates a new theory that has gained acceptance as the actual reason for the McDonald’s ice cream downtime. Harris explains that the manufacturer of the ice cream machines, Taylor, is to blame. Taylor is the industry standard and the same company that makes ice cream machines for most quick-service restaurants, and has been supplying the equipment to McDonald’s since 1956. The next time you see an ice cream machine, look for the manufacturer’s name. It’s probably a Taylor.

Harris posits that Taylor has made the machines intentionally onerous to operate so they can generate future revenue out of repair contracts. The theory is that Taylor deliberately makes ice cream machines that are always in need of service and are generally too complicated for restaurant workers to understand. Hence, they call Taylor’s service technicians, which keeps the company flush with cash flow. It’s an interesting theory, and the video hams it up. There are plenty of suspenseful cuts, long stares into the camera, and moments when you are supposed to be in shock as facts are uncovered, such as the long working history between McDonald’s and Taylor. Harris wants you to believe that corporate greed on Taylor’s end is to blame. In a way, Harris created the perfect scapegoat: shifting the blame from restaurant workers to shadowy business practices. People loved it, too. And it is entirely wrong.

There are some holes in this story as well…

Of all the outlets to cover the story, none of them got close to what I found, including The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Mashed, Boston Globe, Wired, and Inc. Vice News almost got there; they had the proper dataset to solve the mystery, but they fumbled, as expected.

First, I had to dig back a couple of years to find an article I remembered seeing which confirmed something we already know: restaurants owned by blacks, in black areas, do not perform as well as those in “less diverse” communities. McDonald’s has over 200 black franchisees out of the 1,700 or so owners — enough to make the data statistically reliable. Stores that the black franchisees own an average of $68,000 net less per month than all franchise stores. That’s $816,000 per year, per store, lower than the chain’s average.

There are probably many reasons for this disparity. Some black franchise owners postulated that a lack of black leadership in the McDonald’s corporation is an issue. I’m not sure there is a connection. Another issue raised was that black owners tend to own stores in black neighborhoods, where costs are high and sales are lower. There is a notion that nebulous socioeconomic issues tied to things like “white privilege,” “white supremacy,” and “systemic racism” are to blame: i.e., blacks have less money as a whole to spend on fast food, therefore making the sales of black-owned McDonald’s restaurants lower. To the extent that socioeconomic forces are genuine and legitimate, I will say the issue is not systemic racism or white people, but sub-Saharan genetics.

One of the black franchisees was interviewed about his experience. He said “my stores are hellholes,” and lamented that they are robbed once or twice per month. His further comments revealed that his stores are often vandalized: people destroy the bathrooms and break the windows, and a murder had even taken place on the premises of one restaurant.

The murder in the McDonald’s reminded me of a grocery store in Atlanta called “Murder Kroger.” The Ponce de Leon Avenue Kroger earned that nickname by being the stage for many violent crimes. Some Kroger stores actually left black neighborhoods not far from where I live because their outlets there were the worst in the company, suffering from extreme shoplifting and security issues. After pulling out of these neighborhoods, the company was declared “racist” and blamed for contributing to “food deserts” in black communities. The stores were simply not profitable and not worth the headache to keep open. Although some argue there is a white supremacist conspiracy theory keeping blacks from having nice grocery stores in their neighborhoods, the black community itself runs them out of business through their behavior. As states and cities continue to decriminalize shoplifting, this trend will continue.

Another black McDonald’s franchisee said that his stores were among the worst in the company. They have low cash flows, serious staffing problems, and are often robbed. The black owners often blame McDonald’s corporate. Still, they did not seem to realize that their real gripe is with their own community and the behavior of their racial cohort. Part of the extra costs that the black franchises have to pay are for security, high insurance premiums, and constant repairs.

I interviewed a McDonald’s employee who works in a very “diverse” restaurant. He confirmed some of my theories and observations and added great additional insights. He mentioned that the restaurant where he works often has to repair bullet holes resulting from drive-by shootings in the street where they are located. Sure, racism could be blamed for the lack of sales in black stores in black neighborhoods, but one might also suggest that many people don’t want to put their lives at risk for a McFlurry or Big Mac.

With that information in mind, and knowing that demographics affects the rate of “broken” ice cream machines, we can draw further conclusions.

Ice cream machines do not know they are in black and Hispanic neighborhoods. Thus, we can probably rule out the existence of “racist ice cream machines” that make a conscious decision to stop working so they can deprive black and Latinx communities of ice cream.

Here is where we intersect with the meta-story about journalism. The objective of journalism is no longer to inform the public, but to weave a story of their choosing into a larger tapestry. Here, we see that the mainstream media was not willing or capable of telling the full story. Millions of people reading and watching the dozens of articles and videos on the matter have been led to believe in a conspiracy theory about ice cream machines and corporate greed, when the reality — and much more plausible tale — is one of basic biological differences between groups of people.

Further, it’s possible, and perhaps even likely, that the current mainstream journalist class is made up of people entirely incapable of uncovering deeper truths and unwilling to process any information that might contradict a larger societal theme. Much like the black franchisees, I’m sure they found a way to blame anybody but those actually responsible.

As is the case with everything else in my “social capital anthology,” this isn’t an article about broken ice cream machines. This is about what happens to a society when even the base level of social functionality — the bare minimum standard required to have something that looks like a real society — cannot be met.

At some point along this trajectory, there will no longer be any upside rationalizations to be found. There will come a time when the people who cannot run the ice cream machine are not doing you a favor by making you choose better food options. There will come a time when the people who cannot run the ice cream machine are running things of a much greater importance. What will society look like when the person who is today a McDonald’s Assistant Manager who can’t or won’t ensure that the fries are hot is tasked with staffing air control towers or repairing bridges and roads? What happens when the worker who decided it “wasn’t his job” to clean the ice cream machine feels the same way about inspecting the brakes on your car? What happens when you very much need something to be done correctly, but everybody at the department in charge of whatever you need are those people who could barely keep an ice cream machine running for a full day?

How does that society look?

A very easy question for contemporary Americans to answer, most especially those unfortunate souls trapped in our urban hellholes. All they need to do is look out their window to see it crashing and burning all around them.

A lengthy excerpt from a lengthy article, of which you simply must read the all.

The (Im)Moral Minorityajority

Daniel misses by the merest of margins, a vanishingly rare occasion which I shall explain anon.

Biden and the entire D.C. elite don’t like wearing masks. Most people don’t. Universal masking is mandated to accommodate a vocal minority, most of whom are not immunocompromised or otherwise especially vulnerable, but who still demand that everyone accommodate them.

This tyranny of minorities has long since come to define the Democrat coalition which knits together single-issue victimhood voters whose pet issue, whether it’s police shootings, green energy, racial justice, men pretending they’re women, or the right of teachers to sexually indoctrinate kindergartners against the wishes of their parents, must take precedence.

That is why the Biden administration will fight for an otherwise unpopular mask mandate.

Democrat political authority comes from the moral authority of defending oppressed minorities. The old Democrat party which asserted that it represented an oppressed majority being kept down by men of wealth has made way for a coalition of increasingly implausible minorities.

Beyond the racial minorities of the civil rights movement, the moral minority consists of wealthy white elites, their sexual fetishes, cultural obsessions, and neurotic tics. Masking is just the latest neurotic tic that the decadent element that makes up its ruling base demands of all of us.

From police defunding to mandatory masking to men roleplaying as women, the outré demands are a minority even within the Democrat coalition. But the minority of minorities, by banding together, take something that only 2% of the country might want and turn it into something that the 31% of Americans who identify as Democrats are obligated to support on the party line.

And if the Democrats win, the will of the 2% is ruthlessly imposed on the 98%.

Whereas when the Democrats permit the Repugnicans to “win,” the will of the 2% is ruthlessly imposed on etc, helpfully sketching in a rough outline of the sub rosa deal that’s been struck between them, a Devil’s bargain intended to keep the Oaf Class pacified and at home on the couch, rather than raising forty kinds of hell out in the streets along with pretty much everybody else.

In the Biden era, the moral assertions weaponized for social media have become fumblingly ineffective. The Left declares that it must wield power in order to protect the power of corporations like Disney and the right of teachers to push sex ed to kindergartners. The remoteness of these causes from any classic paradigm of the oppressors and the oppressed reflects the distance that the Democrats have traveled from any notion of democracy.

The tyranny of minorities also ‘minoritizes’ morality into siloed causes that few can relate to.

Intersectionality labors to sell the various causes to those who have already bought into the coalition. The entertainment industry rushes to turn the incomprehensible trending mishmash of causes categorized as identity politics talking points into songs and shows to sway the public.

Morality requires universally agreed on values which moral minorities attack at every turn. The great effort to transform the existence of moral minorities into its own moral authority through intersectionality requires unsustainable amounts of messaging and outright intimidation. Cancel culture terrorizes people into not speaking or even thinking for fear they’ll run afoul of constantly changing codes that no one except their cultural oppressors can even keep track of.

And this is where my trivial quibble with Daniel’s otherwise flawless analysis comes in. He speaks of “morality” and “values” erroneously implying such things are of any interest whatsoever to Demonrats. I myself have frequently accused the rat-bastard pricks of being amoral, but I’m beginning to realize that’s not quite correct either. The truth is, the Left and its wholly-owned Democrat Party subsidiary are anti-moral, bitterly hostile to any conceivable restrictions a functioning moral compass might impose upon full-body immersion in the dank waters of depravity, hedonism, and self-indulgence. Which, they’re up to their scrawny necks in that soured Sargasso already.

Just when you think Florida can’t look any better…

Dammit, I have GOT to move.

Florida Sheriff Urges Homeowners to Shoot Invaders to ‘Save the Taxpayers Money’
A Florida sheriff said that he’s urging homeowners to get gun safety training while encouraging them to shoot home invaders to “save the taxpayers money.”

“If somebody’s breaking into your house, you’re more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County. We prefer that you do actually,” Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson told a news conference several days ago.

Responding to an incident in Santa Rosa County where a homeowner reportedly shot at a repeat offender who attempted to break into their home, Johnson recommended the gun owner take a shooting and gun safety class. The alleged burglar, Brandon Joseph Harris, reportedly had 17 prior arrests on his record.

“If you take that, you’ll shoot a lot better and hopefully you’ll save the taxpayer’s money,” Johnson remarked.

“You’re not in trouble,” he said of the unnamed homeowner. “Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday.”

Harris wasn’t injured in the incident, Johnson remarked, adding that he “didn’t get hit, and now we have to pay for him,” local media reported. “Some people don’t learn,” the sheriff added. “For us, he is job security. I mean, we deal with him all the time.”

The man has a record stretching back to when he was 13, Johnson said. He had spent more than six years in prison, and he’s now being held on a $157,500 bond, and faces multiple charges, records show.

Looks like DeSantis is not necessarily the only sturdy, sane public official in the Sunshine State. It pains me something awful to reflect on how once widely-accepted attitudes like Sherriff Bob’s perfectly common-sensical approach to eliminating worthless, predatory oxygen thieves from the gene pool have, over time, come to seem radical, even bizarre, to so many of us today.

Let them burn

Jeremy Carl at AG calls a spade a spade.

It’s difficult for us to acknowledge the enormity of the crime that has been committed against our children because it’s hard for us to acknowledge how deeply we have failed. And it’s hard for us to accept that this crime is taking place with the full support of the leadership of one of America’s major political parties and most of the medical establishment. Indeed, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) banned a group of those skeptical of pediatric transgenderism from even setting up a booth at the latest AAP conference. To acknowledge the depth of the transgender transgression against our children is to stare deep into the void of a society in chaos and moral decay.

The mass grooming of our children into pediatric transgenderism and other confused gender identities is a crime of world-historical proportions, a crime which dare not speak its name.

It is useful to illuminate the scale of what is being done to our children. Even now, after years of propaganda, transgenderism scarcely exists among baby boomers and older—just 0.1-0.2 percent; whereas it is 2.1 percent among adults in Gen Z, a figure that appears to be rising.

How many children are being damaged as this is normalized?

Why aren’t we making criminal referrals to all of these “physicians” prescribing this “gender affirming care?”

These “transgender” children are victims and we must channel our justifiable anger at the medical community, the politicians, the “physicians,” the “educators,” the corporations and, when appropriate, the disturbed parents who have enabled this. We should feel rage toward these people and not their young victims.

There are no “transgender kids.” There are confused kids. There are kids with gender dysphoria. There are depressed kids. There are feminine boys and masculine girls. There are kids who have been groomed and abused by the system, our corporations, our education system, and our media for years and are now deeply damaged. But there are no trans kids. There are only adults who have stolen our children’s innocence.

We lack the language to even describe the level of violation that has taken place. Joe Biden has absurdly labeled transgenderism “the civil rights issue of our time.” He has said there is “no room for compromise” on the issue. If there is no room for compromise with those who support genital mutilation of children than we are truly ruled by demons in human form.

Consider Richard “Rachel” Levine. It is not a coincidence that our first Senate-confirmed transgender federal official was appointed as assistant secretary for health, where of course, he has legal oversight over much of this madness. If Levine were an assistant secretary of commerce, far fewer people would care. The absurdity is the point. The deviance is the point. To have someone suffering from florid mental illness shaming and mocking normality is the point.

“Maybe the target nowadays is not to discover what we are but to refuse what we are,” wrote the French philosopher and left-wing hero Michel Foucault, in his 1982 book, The Subject and Power. In attempting to force their transgender madness on the youngest and and most innocent members of our society, the Left has elevated this principle to a central sacrament in their depraved and false religion.

Actually, I agree completely with Gropey Joe on one thing, albeit from the opposite corner of the ring: there is indeed no room for compromise with depraved shitlib monsters like himself, nor with ANY of his fellow shitlibs. Normal, sane, decent Americans must at long last recognize this crucial truth, stop wasting their time and energy in pursuit of something that is neither achievable nor worthwhile, and get to work immediately to exorcise these demons from the body politic, casting them back into the furnaces of Hell where they belong.

Occupied America

The national character has changed, and not for the better.

Over the last two years in America, I’ve witnessed our own forces of evil with incredulity, despair, and rage. Corruption, blasphemy, and absurdity have been accepted by one-half of the electorate as the cost of doing business; as has the fear this acceptance generates. Does anyone actually believe that men change into women and women into men who can give birth, that the Earth is burning, the seas are rising, and we’ll all perish unless we cover our faces with strips of cotton?

No one does. These proclamations are an act of faith, in a new, as yet unnamed religion, and the vehemence with which one proclaims allegiance to these untruths is an exercise no different from any other ecstatic religious oath. They become the Apostles’ Creed of the left, their proclamation committing the adherent physically to their strictures, exactly as the oath taken on induction to the armed services. The inductee is told to “take one step forward,” and once they do he or she can no longer claim, “I misunderstood the instruction.”

Those currently in power insist on masking, but don’t wear masks. They claim the seas are rising and build mansions on the shore. They abhor the expenditure of fossil fuels and fly exclusively in private jets. And all the while half of the country will not name the disease. Why?

Because the cost of challenging this oppressive orthodoxy has, for them, become too high. Upon a possible awakening, they—or more likely their children—might say that the country was occupied. And they would be right.

Gandhi said to the British, you’ve been a guest in our house for too long, it is time for you to leave. He borrowed the line from Oliver Cromwell, and it’s a good one. The left has occupied the high places for too long, promoting dogma even as the occasions for their complaint have decreased (what position is closed to people of color, or women? Inclusion in all levels of the workforce; preference in higher education, a seat in the cockpit, in the Oval Office, in a movie’s cast, or admission to an elite school+? And yet the vehemence of their protests has increased, progressing into blacklisting and even rioting by those claiming to represent “the oppressed.”

Old-time physicians used to speak of the disease “declaring itself.” History teaches that one omnipresent aspect of a coup is acts of reprisal staged by agents provocateurs of the revolutionaries, and blamed on supporters of the legitimate government. It would be a historical anomaly if we were not to see such between now and the midterm elections.

For the disease has declared itself, and we are not now in a culture war, but a nascent coup, with its usual cast of characters. The Bolshevists could have been defeated by a company of soldiers in the suburbs of Moscow, Hitler stopped at Czechoslovakia, and the current horrors confronted at the Minneapolis police station or a meeting of the San Francisco school board. But those tragedies, and our current tragedies, were not just allowed but encouraged to run their course.

Yet I believe there is hope for reason and self-direction.

As you would expect, America’s Governor, DeSantis the Great, comes in for a mention shortly after that statement. As well he should. Mamet, that most rara of show-biz avii—ie, a recovered Leftist—himself, closes the piece with a question I find chilling:

Now, the disease having proclaimed itself and its dangers having become clear, it is time for us all to overcome the occupation by standing up to those tyrannies under which we are not prepared to live.

Time, and long past time. Just one leeeetle problem. These days, can we say with any confidence that there are ANY tyrannies under which the majority of “Americans” are not fully prepared to live? Because from where I’m sitting, they seem to have made themselves perfectly comfortable with pretty much all of ’em, braying incessantly in boastful praise of their precious “‘Murcafreedom!” while they bend over and spread dem cheeks so as to more easily take the latest high, hard one from their Überstaat ALL the way in.

The article’s subhed says “Brave dissenters willing to defy an oppressive orthodoxy are our country’s best hope,” and I can’t really disagree; such defiance was once part of the bedrock of the American nation, and must be nurtured in the breast of any person who intends to live his life as a free man. But how much hope is left to us, really, when we see less and less of defiance out there, and more of compliance?

Just because a population has convinced itself that surrender might be analogous to a kind of victory when contrasted with the horror, devastation, and death of even the most just and righteous war; that even a peace purchased via accepting the bit of subjugation can still be considered a bargain; that pacifism and nonviolence can still be honorable and noble stances even when there are tyrants, despots, and brutal monsters running amok, unopposed and unrestrained, amongst We The People—these things do NOT mean said population isn’t COMPLETELY FULL OF SHIT just the same. Not by a long yard, they don’t. Kinda the other way around, actually.

Goin’ down

Robert Spencer asks a pertinent question.

Does the Western Lifestyle Put Societies on the Path to Extinction?

Apparently, yes. Yes, it does.

The rest of the world is noticing the West’s pronoun madness, trans madness, grooming madness, and other evils, and is drawing the obvious conclusions. The deputy commander-in-chief for coordination of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, said in a recent interview on Iranian TV that Europeans were losing the sense of their own national identity, and that the Western lifestyle had placed European societies on the path to extinction. He could have said exactly the same thing about the United States of America.

The March 31 exchange on Iran’s Ofogh TV began when an interviewer asked Naghdi: “If I am not mistaken, you expressed an opinion about the French national soccer team. You said that out of the 23 team members, 15 were Africans, and that of the 12 members of their national basketball team, ten were Africans. You inferred that France has no national identity.” It was an interesting question, because if an interviewer had asked it in France or any other country in Europe, or in the U.S., he or she would have been excoriated as a “racist” and likely fired, simply for asking the question. When a topic, any topic, can be more freely discussed on Iranian TV than on American TV, you know there is something wrong.

Naghdi didn’t berate the interviewer for “bigotry.” Instead, he answered: “The West delineates a certain lifestyle for societies, and how we should live. What has this done to the West itself? It has caused negative population growth, which forces them to import population from abroad. European societies will reach a point, within several decades, where you will have to search for a single person of the European race in France or in England, for example.” Well, yes, and not just France or England. Germany’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) recently conducted a “micro-census” that found that fully twenty-five percent of the people in the country have a “migrant background.” Given the low birth rates of native Europeans all across the continent, it isn’t hard to see where this is tending. As far back as 2005, the renowned historian Bernard Lewis said that Europe would be Islamic by the end of this century, “at the very latest.”

Naghdi continued: “In this situation, there is no more meaning to national identity. According to statistics, if you hold free elections in England in 2060, a Pakistani or an Indian will be the prime minister, and [British] Parliament will be filled with [immigrants] from Iraq, India, and so on. What will be the meaning of national identity there? There will be no such thing as the English people anymore. This will be a different nation and different society.” As if aware of what the Western establishment media would make of such talk, Naghdi added: “Some people might interpret what I say to be racial discrimination, but if you care about the value of preserving a nation’s identity and the continued existence of that nation, [know that] the path [the West] outlined for human society will ultimately be the annihilation of future generations.”

This Eye-ranian dude is one brainy cat, no doubt about it— perceptive, quite canny both historically and politically, and right on the beam. Which is NOT a sentence I ever imagined I’d have occasion write, much less actually mean.

How Biden’s Buttboys burned it all down

These Motherfuckers need to pay, and I mean pay DEARLY, too.

Killing Keystone: How Biden & The Left Destroyed American Energy Independence
In 2018 America became a net exporter of oil for the first time in decades, a status it maintained in 2020 as well. In 2021 the US once again returned to becoming a net importer of oil, with the US expected to import 62% more crude in 2022 than it did in 2020.

A December Scott Rasmussen national survey found 59% of voters believe that the Biden administration’s blocking of the Keystone XL pipeline project and another pipeline have contributed to rising gas prices across the United States.

JD Rucker adds:

The destruction of the United States economy began the moment Joe Biden was installed in the White House. This is a planned demolition to help usher in The Great Reset, expand Neo-Marxism, establish globalist control, and destroy American exceptionalism.

It started with the Keystone Pipeline.

And just kept on snowballing from there, although shutting down Keystone was the biggest single factor in destroying the Trump economy and bludgeoning Amerika v2.0 all the way into beggar-nation status. It’s difficult to adequately comprehend sometimes, just how fervent and implacable shitlib hatred for this once-great nation and its people truly is. It seems almost as if the heat of it is a physically palpable thing rather than just another symptom of their psychopathology: it literally burns them, blistering their very flesh and driving them even further into madness than they were already. It’s genuinely frightening to reflect on what such hate-filled, soulless, amoral fiends would be capable of doing to normal Americans in order to sate their obssessive lust for retribution, if they thought for one second they might get away with it. And any of us who’s still kidding himself otherwise about that is a damned fool.

I did give a tiny snort of pained amusement at that “59% of voters believe that the Biden administration’s blocking of the Keystone XL pipeline project and another pipeline have contributed to rising gas prices” business. As with the neverending cavalcade of “devastating” polls showing Biden’s popularity “plummeting” to a new low of between 35 to 39 percent, always and forever accompanied by the cawing of all too many of Our Guys gleefully announcing that Biden/Ogabe/Pelosi/INSERT_NAME_HERE is/are well and truly finished this time, and cannot possibly recover from this fatal crash ‘n’ burn!!! Then the whole meat-beat-go-round reboots next week with the release of the devastating—DEVASTATING, YOU HEAR ME!!!new (Holy shit, 35-39 percent! Spread some butter on this poor Demonrat oaf, he is TOAST!!). I’ve scratched my head over this vaudeville act ever since it first started during the Obama junta’s reign, and I still can’t figure out how even the most inattentive observer could swallow such twipe.

There’s more than one thing that bothers me about it, actually. For one, the very idea that there could actually be 35-39% of us out there who support these pricks, when we can all readily see with our own lyin’ eyes the wanton destruction the malefactors have so profligately wreaked regardless of what our political affiliation, ideology, intelligence, or religious faith might happen to be. My God, there would HAVE to be at least some Democrats, even, who aren’t buying into this bilge, wouldn’t there?

And yet, and yet. In Grampy Gropey, we have ourselves a blundering, graceless, decrepit old coot—a person of advanced years whose very sentience is open to serious question, which is being WAY more generous than the filthy bastard deserves— a lifelong political bunco artist who has never been particularly popular, respected, or well-thought of, by anybody at all. He is an arrogant, obnoxious reprobate whose corruption, greed, and shameless penchant for self-serving criminality at the expense of pretty much everybody around him have been thorougly chronicled and matters of general piublic knowledge for forty-some years now. Hell, Papa Grifter has openly bragged about himself, on camera, more than once. In career-politico terms, Dirty Joe has never been anything more than a back-bencher, a third-rate hack without so much as one legislative accomplishment to his name.

On the more personal level, Biden is notoriously unpleasant to be around, no one’s first choice to sit with at the bar over a quiet beer or three. He’s stiff and robotic in his public appearances, going through the motions by rote—unless a sudden Alzheimer’s eruption boils up, bringing forth the only genuine emotion you’ll ever see from him: red-faced, spluttering, incoherent rage. Never once has he evinced the slightest trace of empathy, altruism, or human warmth, even towards his own immediate family. Any sincerity Joe Biden has ever shown, he faked it. The oleaginous creep would try to make a mark out of Jesus Christ Himself, should the Son Of God ever defile His personal dignity so badly as to be caught keeping company with the suppurating carbuncle. Which, being our Lord and Savior and all, Jesus has way too much self-respect to ever, ever do.

The future is here

Too cool for school.

Israel successfully tests new laser missile defense system
TEL AVIV, Israel — Israel’s new laser missile-defense system has successfully intercepted mortars, rockets and anti-tank missiles in recent tests, Israeli leaders said Thursday.

The Israeli-made laser system, known as the “Iron Beam,” is designed to complement a series of aerial defense systems, including the more costly rocket-intercepting Iron Dome.

“This may sound like science-fiction, but it’s real,” said Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. ”The Iron Beam’s interceptions are silent, they’re invisible and they only cost around $3.50″ apiece, he added.

Little is known about the laser system’s effectiveness, but it is expected to be deployed on land, in the air and at sea. The goal is to deploy the laser systems around Israel’s borders over the next decade to protect the country against attacks.

Thursday’s announcement also sent a message to Israel’s foes, including archenemy Iran. The tests took place last month in the Negev Desert.

The announcement came near the anniversary of the 11-day Israel-Gaza war, in which Gaza’s ruling Hamas militant group fired more than 4,000 rockets toward Israel.

The vid is friggin’ awesome.

Darn pesky (((((JOOOOOOZ!!™))))), just doin’ what they do: advancing science and technology, contributing to civilization’s store of knowledge from a tiny desert nation completely surrounded by hordes of genocidal fanatics whose sole desire is to kill them all. The Ay-rabs endlessly brag about how they “invented mathematics” way back in medieval antiquity, and just never mind that, as a culture, they stopped right there, and haven’t invented one worthwhile thing ever since. Well, except for the car bomb, the truck bomb, the underwear bomb, the briefcase bomb, and so on.

Compare, contrast:
(((((Dem Pesky JOOOOOOOOZ!!!™)))))

  • Use ingenuity, creativity, and intellect to create new technologies, consumer goods, and conveniences of every kind, improving the lives of countless people all over the world
  • Successfully raise crops in the middle of a lifeless, barren wasteland
  • Freely turned over functioning, productive greenhouses to their drooling Neanderthal enemies in fulfillment of yet another one-sided “land for peace” scam, said Neanderthal shitwits immediately smashing every last one of them to sparkly bits even as the Israelis were desperately offering to teach the useless yahoos how to operate the things
  • Work diligently and passionately to excel in the creative arts, bringing to life beautiful music, books, plays, paintings, and films to ennoble and inspire us

Camel-humping, kiddy-diddling Ay-rabs

  • Lived for two millenia as nomadic tribal primitives, worshipping their bloodthirsty pedophile “prophet”
  • Occasionally took time off to wage vicious jihad against civilized human beings
  • Received a gift of extreme wealth when the US discovered oil in their hellish shithole region, then gave the American drilling rigs, pumps, and other machinery en bloc to the feral apes, training them in their use and maintenance
  • Pioneered things like, say, running into pizza parlors, parks, and shopping areas packed with Western civilians, including women and children, then setting off the powerful explosive device concealed under a shirt or jacket, resulting in the wanton slaughter of dozens of innocents who had harmed not a soul
  • Invaded, then conquered American cities like Dearborn, Minneapolis, and Buffalo who were foolish enough to allow them entry, forcing their neighbors to endure the atonal, grating, very nearly painful “call of the Muezzin” blared at high volume several times daily from loudspeakers elevated on utility poles
  • Infiltrated and took over entire neighborhoods in England, France, and Germany, gang-raping Western women, looting local shops, mugging elderly people, burning cars and buildings and generally rendering these areas into blighted, dangerous ghettos no civilized human being would even dream of living in for one second longer than he had to
  • Obnoxiously demand tolerance, freedom, and respect for themselves and their gutter “religion,” then flatly deny those very things to other people and religions, turning Western values and ideals into weapons to be used against Westerners

Oh, and while we’re on the subject, or at least within shouting distance of it anyway, the Arabs did NOT actually “invent” mathematics either. As per usual with them, they stole someone else’s achievement or idea and then glommed all the credit, shamelessly announcing their false claim to any and every poor schnook willing to lend an ear to their outlandish flim-flammery, braggadocio, exaggerations, and just plain lies. Fleabitten pieces of half-solid dung from the spastic bowels of a camel with dysentery, all of ’em.

Good deal

Mr Torba suggests an alternative route for Mr Musk.

This morning Elon Musk sent Twitter’s Board an offer to buy the entire company for $40B+. As I wrote last week, anything that explicitly has the aim of bringing more free speech to the internet for more people is a good thing.

Twitter has legacy problems that Gab doesn’t. They are fully dependent on third-party infrastructure. We are not. We “built our own,” everything. Hosting, email services, analytics tools, ecommerce, payment processing, all of it. We built it all.

You also have to consider that bringing free speech to Twitter isn’t as simple as buying it. Apple and Google do not allow free speech, so if you stop the censorship they will kick Twitter from both app stores. We already solved that problem and overcame it.

Twitter operates in countries where mass censorship is required by law. They have offices in these countries. They have no choice but to comply with the censorship demands of those countries or risk being shut down, fines, etc.

We understand this very well and have dealt with it, telling those countries to get lost.

Then there is the problem of Twitter’s community itself. It skews massively left and thus anti-free speech. If you allow free speech on Twitter again, those people are absolutely going to leave because their fragile worldview can’t handle the reality that free speech brings.

As a good friend pointed out rightfully to me this morning: “I highly doubt they will accept his offer. They would rather shares go to zero than hand over narrative control. If they do accept they will sabotage internally and to whatever degree he makes good changes Twitter will get the Gab treatment from the globohomo.”

In light of these truths, I’d like to offer Elon a counter offer to his very expensive and overpriced Twitter deal.

That’s from the Gab News email list I subscribe to, so no link, alas. Out of nothing more than force of habit I was gonna leave off there, just as I would with any article or blog post I was using as my jumping-off point. But since I’m quoting here from an email list that most of y’all probably ain’t on, it occurs to me that fair use is right out the window, liberating me to expand the excerpting so as not to leave any of my valued CF Lifers hanging like that.

Ladies (!) and germs, I give you The Rest Of The Story (/PaulHarveyvoice).

Elon,
I founded Gab in 2016 because I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning constitutional federal republic.

However, since founding Gab I realized that in order to provide a free speech platform you must also have free speech internet infrastructure. Gab has since transformed from merely a social network into a free speech internet infrastructure company. We built our own servers, our own email services, our own payment processor, and so much more not because we wanted to, but because we had no choice if we were going to continue to exist.

What we are missing at the moment is an ISP. I fear that the next big leap of censorship is at the ISP level, with ISP’s blocking access to Gab.com. You solve that problem with Starlink. Together we can build infrastructure for a free speech internet.

I am willing to offer you a Board seat along with equity in the company in exchange for you selling your Twitter position and investing $2B into Gab. My offer is my best and final offer.

Gab has extraordinary potential. Let’s unlock it together.

Man, I’d giggle myself hoarse and dance around like a giddy schoolgirl if Musk jumped all over this excellent offer, but he probably won’t. Honestly, it reminds me a great deal of how puzzled I was as to why the hell Trump, back when he was Preznit and Twatter and Fakebook were dicking him around right and left, didn’t just tell Fuckerburg and Dorksnort to go piss up several ropes while watching him make the jump to Gab and Parler or one of the other options that were popping up all over the place at the time. DJT would easily have brought several million followers right along with him in the first ten minutes, thereby killing two birds with one stone: Bird #1) an internet home for our 1A right to freedom of expression would thus be secured, and Bird Numero Dos) Twatter and Fuckstickbook would at last have ha dsome legitimate, credible competition to fret their sorry asses some.

Goon squads update! And as if on cue, they come for him.

Elon Musk hit a nerve in Washington DC as the Biden-Harris regime scrambles to intimidate him following his announced plans to acquire Twitter and make it a private company. Reports are coming in that they’ve suddenly launched several investigations into his dealings, none of which seem to have anything to do with Twitter.

It is unclear what the Department of Justice wants with him, but one thing is very clear. The Biden-Harris regime desperately wants to take him down before he does something that hurts them such as buying Twitter and opening the door to free speech on what he has described as the “digital public square.”

Well, if Musk didn’t know he was in a war before, he damned well ought to now.

Yer doin’ it wrong update! I thought I was all done with this topic for tonight, until liberal dumbass Max Boot decided to put his oar in.

Uh HUH. So according to this self-proclaimed Supergenius!!!™, the only chance for the survival of “democracy”—the US ain’t one, never was one, and hopefully never will be—is via more censorship and less free speech and debate? Forgive me and all, but does that seem like kind of a DIRECT FUCKING CONTRADICTION IN TERMS on its very face? Just admit it, shitlib poltroon: like all Lefty fascists, the only kind of “free speech” you support is your own, and that of the pig-ignorant, back-asswards fools who agree with you. In Leftard circles, dissent simply is NOT countenanced; you either endorse their opinions or you sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up, that’s all.

There there, Maxie-boy, is hims all fwightened by the howwible, howwible “impact on society and politics” caused by the Bad Rich Man buying his pwecious widdle social-media playpen and then kicking his dainty ass out of it, in effect, just by making it a less comfortable place for weak sisters like you to strut, swagger, and bullyrag other kids in? Too bad, so sad. I hate it for ya, I really do.

Oh, and…nice hat, dickhead. Offsets the geek-goggles just right, methinks, especially with the way you’ve so laboriously positioned said fedora on your oblated head with just the right jaunty tilt. Taken with the saggy, baggy overcoat, you somewhat resemble what some effete urban hipster-douchebag thinks an old-school, rough-and-tumble, whiskey-swilling REAL journalist might look like. Of course, if said douchebag had ever encountered such a frightful thing in the flesh, he/she/it would have run away from the apparition as fast as his/her/its pudgy, dimpled legs would carry him/her/it, pissing his/her/its pants every step of the way just from the mind-bending terror of the thing.

Sorry, Waxey Maxie, but fearless correspondents like Ernie Pyle, Frank Bolden, Bill Mauldin, and Joe Galloway wouldn’t deign to piss in the mouth of a sniveling worm like you if your goddamned gums were on fire. How sad for you that your lifelong heroes would never be caught dead associating with you in public, no matter how extravagant a bribe you offered them to disgrace themselves so badly.

Fuckin’ punk-ass bitch.

NOTE: In order to comment, you must be registered and approved as a CF user. Since so many user-registrations are attempted by spam-bots for their own nefarious purposes, YOUR REGISTRATION MAY BE ERRONEOUSLY DENIED.

If you are in fact a legit hooman bean desirous of registering yourself a CF user name so as to be able to comment only to find yourself caught up as collateral damage in one of my irregularly (un)scheduled sweeps for hinky registration attempts, please shoot me a kite at the email addy over in the right sidebar and let me know so’s I can get ya fixed up manually.

ALSO NOTE: You MUST use a valid, legit email address in order to successfully register, the new anti-spam software I installed last night requires it. My thanks to Barry for all his help sorting this mess out last night.

Comments appear entirely at the whim of the guy who pays the bills for this site and may be deleted, ridiculed, maliciously edited for purposes of mockery, or otherwise pissed over as he in his capricious fancy sees fit. The CF comments section is pretty free-form and rough and tumble; tolerance level for rowdiness and misbehavior is fairly high here, but is NOT without limit.

Management is under no obligation whatever to allow the comments section to be taken over and ruined by trolls, Leftists, and/or other oxygen thieves, and will take any measures deemed necessary to prevent such. Conduct yourself with the merest modicum of decorum, courtesy, and respect and you'll be fine. Pick pointless squabbles with other commenters, fling provocative personal insults, issue threats, or annoy the host (me) and...you won't.

Should you find yourself sanctioned after running afoul of the CF comments policy as stated and feel you have been wronged, please download and complete the Butthurt Report form below in quadruplicate; retain one copy for your personal records and send the others to the email address posted in the right sidebar.

Please refrain from whining, sniveling, and/or bursting into tears and waving your chubby fists around in frustrated rage, lest you suffer an aneurysm or stroke unnecessarily. Your completed form will be reviewed and your complaint addressed whenever management feels like getting around to it. Thank you.

When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go.
