GIVE TIL IT HURTS!

Tip of the world’s biggest iceberg

Just in case anybody out there thought it was only rich, powerful, famous folks like Trump FederalGovCo goon squads really care about going after hammer and tongs, leaving ordinary, innocuous schlubs like you and me alone.

Gird your loins average Republicans. From day 1, the Biden Regime has (like Obama) sought to punish political enemies. Until now, they focused on politically active folks. Now they appear to be about to revive the Obama era abuse of the IRS to go after conservatives.

Remember those bad old days? Between 2009 and 2011, IRS audits against small businesses increased 32%. Among the 100s of businesses raided by the IRS and Department of Justice, using paramilitary, gestapo like tactics, was Mountain Pure Water Bottling & Duncan Outdoors, Inc.

Who can forget the raid on Gibson Guitar (located in Tenn.) where armed agents from the Dept. of Fish and Wildlife raided 4 factories, confiscating guitars and sending hundreds of employees home. Gibson was accused of using illegal wood in violation of the outdated Lacey Act.

Underreported at the time was the fact that Gibson’s chief executive, Henry Juszkiewicz, contributed to GOP politicians. By contrast, the Dem donor CEO of Martin & Co. a another guitar maker, reportedly used the same type of wood but was left alone.

On 01/18/2012, 40-50 heavily armed, hostile gov agents raided Mountain Pure water, scaring the heck out of everyone in the building. The owner said he was cursed at, spat on & bullied in such an egregious fashion, he felt like they were trying to provoke him to react violently.

The owner, John Stacks said his son, Court Stacks, the General Manager, had a loaded gun pointed to his face. His seven and a half month pregnant wife watched news coverage of the raid at home in horror. She would later lose the baby.

Stacks said one of the agents told him, “we’re the federal government and we can do anything we want to.”

So far, the evidence supporting that statement is overwhelming–in fact, there’s none at all to contradict it. Bear in mind, too, that these are only a mere handful of such incidents, involving just one federal agency. Incidents we know about, that is.

RACIST WHITE SUPREMACIST ISLAMOPHOBIC TERRORISTS STRIKE AGAIN!!!

Don’t anybody worry; I’m sure those good, über-competent patriots at our awesome FBI will spring into action any moment now to announce their total confustication as to what the motive for this might possibly have been.

Author Salman Rushdie is likely to lose one of his eyes and is currently on a ventilator after he was attacked on stage at a literary event in upstate New York on Friday, a report said.

“The news is not good,” the 75-year-old writer’s agent, Andrew Wylie, told The New York Times.

“Salman will likely lose one eye; the nerves in his arm were severed; and his liver was stabbed and damaged,” said Wylie.

Rushdie, who is still unable to speak, was attacked by a lone man while speaking at an event at the Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY, about 75 miles south of Buffalo.

He was scheduled to speak about the United States as a place for exiled authors “as a home for freedom of expression,” according to the institute. After the stabbing, he was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Yeah, well, not anymore, Salman. Not for a good, long while now, I’m afraid. That’s a battle we lost many moons ago, as you just found out yourself in a most horrible way.

A witness who was in the audience told The Post that Rushdie tried to run off the stage, and the two men scuffled before audience members rushed onstage to subdue the attacker.

Wait for it…waaaiiiit for it…

His alleged attacker, 24-year-old Hadi Matar, of Fairview, New Jersey, was arrested by a state trooper at the scene, the Times reported.

Hm. Nice solid, all-American name there, wouldn’t you say? Why, a name like that fairly well screams “bred-in-the-bone, 100% AMERICAN by birth, lineage, and creed” to the high heavens. No wonder the FBI always finds itself so deeply perplexed every time yet another of these bizarre, inexplicable events happens, right out of a clear blue sky and against every expectation. Guess we’ll never know for sure what caused it.

Talkin’ ain’t actin’

Less of the one, more of the other, an it please you.

There is one clear difference between Leftists (they style themselves “Democrats”) and Republicans – who often style themselves “conservatives,” though of what, exactly, it is hard to divine.

And this difference is related to that.

The difference being that Leftists act – while “conservatives” (i.e., Republicans) talk about acting. It is hardly necessary to trot out examples but that of the past going-on-three-years will more than suffice. Leftists fostered a “pandemic” – and never hesitated to act on it. They “locked down” the country – well, “locked down” the average American, including the American small businessman, so as to consolidate economic power in the hands of the big corporations, now Woke, that finance the Left in a mutually beneficial reach-around. They “mandated” the wearing of “masks,” so as to create the necessary visual of abject submission, to Leftism. They even went so far as to all-but-gunpoint the entire population into submitting to medical experimentation.

And the whole time this was going on, what did “conservatives” conserve?

What have they ever “conserved”?

Now comes another – possibly, the final – opportunity for “conservatives” to do more than talk.

By now, everyone is aware of the Hut! Hut! Hutting! of the Orange Fail’s residence-in-exile at Mara Lago, in Florida. Everyone should be aware that this Hut! Hut! Hutting! is a kind of Sicilian Message – sent to us rather than the Orange Fail. We are to understand that disobedience will not be tolerated.

This ought not to be tolerated.

The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, is a Republican. He has it in his power to act in such a way as to challenge the Leftists who seek all power, including that serially ceded to them by Republicans. He could use the power he has as the governor of the state in which the Orange Fail resides to protect the Orange Fail from the Leftist who engineered his fail. Who will also engineer the failure of DeSantis, if he fails to act rather than talk.

Perhaps DeSantis will listen to the admonitions of men who did act, such as Jefferson and Madison. Declare that Florida will not enforce or abide unconstitutional acts by the federal government. Such action might just spread.

And that would beat Hell out of all this talking.

Damned skippy. DeSantis, Abbott, and any other non-Vichy GOPe governors with stones enough to do so could render all Real Americans a great service, as well as etch their names with honor and glory in the annals of American liberty forevermore, by announcing their firm intention to end all cooperation and/or contact with FBI goon squads currently skulking about in their sovereign States—effective oh, say, five minutes ago or thereabouts.

How do I hate him?

Let me count the ways.

FBI Director Christopher Wray gave remarks in Omaha, Nebraska today. He was questioned about reaction to the FBI raid on President Trump’s home and noted threats circulating online against federal agents and the Justice Department are “deplorable and dangerous.” “I’m always concerned about threats to law enforcement,” Wray said. “Violence against law enforcement is not the answer, no matter who you’re upset with.”

Director Wray also noted that FBI agents should be “valued and cherished” for their willingness to “put their lives on the line” to protect the institutions of government.

Yeah, you just hold your breath waiting on that, you sniveling, puke-a-licious douchenozzle.

This is the same agency that refused to prosecute any FBI agents involved in the cover-up operation to protect rapes of U.S. female gymnasts, and the same FBI agency who conducted a four-year corrupt investigation of false Trump-Russia accusations manufactured by Democrat political operatives.

Which barely amounts to even a trifling litany of FBI transgressions, an infinitesimally tiny drop in a staggeringly capacious bucket.

The collapse of institutional credibility has nothing to do with deplorable Americans and everything to do with their own conduct.

Precisely so. You reap it, you sow it, dorksnort. None but the most wilfully purblind of self-deluded ninnyheimers would put any faith or trust at all in you at this late stage of the game. Die screaming, whydon’tcha. Or, to tweak a grand old Irish locution a wee dram, may you descend into Hell an hour before the angels know you’re dead. Now please excuse me for a sec while I go look for that World’s Smallest Violin I know I got lying around here someplace.

“A profound turning point in Western history”

A proudly unreconstructed Southron speaks his piece.

Last night, like many Americans, I was shocked to see that former President of the United States, Donald Trump, had his home raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). This is a profound turning point in Western history. For the better part of the past two centuries, the U.S. has enjoyed unprecedented stability because it did not raid the homes of political rivals. The rest of the democratic world looked upon the United States as a model for successful representative government. To watch a politically motivated raid on a former president essentially showed the rest of the world that the U.S. is no longer the model it claimed to be. It so devastatingly rotten to its very core that anyone with eyes can see that unelected officials run the United States – not the people… not its representatives… not its Constitution.

For those who hate Trump, it is important to note that this raid is more than just Trump. Trump is a polarizing figure in American politics. Trump is also a billionaire. This is not an ordinary, well intentioned political protester who walked the Halls of Congress on January 6th getting hunted down by the FBI a year later at his plumbing job. This is a powerful person in his own right with nearly seventy-five million supporters. The fact that they can attempt the gulag treatment on Trump should be a massive wake-up to any powerless, ordinary citizen with an unpopular view. They are coming for you, next.

…The United States was founded on a core principle that elections would be respected as the will of the people. The Declaration of Independence stated, “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.” As such, the very establishment of the United States was a rebuke to the prevailing governments of the time – unaccountable monarchies – to the wishes of the voting citizenry. Southern Nationalists would argue that the consent of the governed was destroyed in 1865. Regardless, the façade of an elected representative government endured until now.

In 2016, the citizenry chose Donald Trump. For four years, the unelected entities harassed and targeted the will of the people, showing their disdain for the American voter. In effect, unelected bureaucrats with political allies conspired to deprive the consent of the governed – and the chosen representatives of the United States charged with guarding that consent, failed. They abrogated their responsibility to those who elected them because they lacked both the courage and moral fortitude to protect the people’s choice. When given the opportunity to hold unelected officials accountable for their undemocratic actions, those people failed.

They failed to protect the right of dissidents to express their personal conscience at Charlottesville. They failed to hold accountable those individuals who manipulated the FISA Courts to weaponize the FBI against the candidate of a major political party. They failed to defend those who peacefully protested on January 6th, 2021. They have failed at every single level. Their failures and lack of courage empowered and encouraged unelected officials to crush the inherent rights of the American people.

The raid on Trump is not about Trump. The raid on Trump is a coup against arguably the most successful republic in history. Washington, DC, is overthrowing the rights you thought you had. They are driving a nail in the coffin of republican governance (little ‘R’). They are showing you that they are the power, not you, the voting citizen. Attacking Trump is all about proving to the little guy that he is powerless. If you elect the wrong person, we will remove him – and then you.

The United States is dead. It cannot be revived. This is the regime flexing on you, the worthless American voter. The choice is simple: stay on the Titanic as its newfound masters order you to swab the decks of oncoming water or jump ship by means of secession. If you wish to keep the United States intact, so be it. You should move to a Yankee blue state and enjoy the future that your demographic replacement will ensure. You might as well get used to those laws now. Meanwhile, if you are a Southerner flying the American flag, you are part of the problem. The most important flag flying over your home should be your state flag. Displaying imagery that expresses your bended knee toward Washington, DC, is an indication of your loyalties. You have chosen the Union over the Founding Principles. You have chosen elected bureaucrats over your own people. You have shown that when we need you, you will not be there for us.

The raid on Trump should be a wake-up call that the Yankee government cannot be reformed. It is gone. The Constitution will not protect him. The Constitution will not protect you. Secession will.

I dunno if I can be too terribly sanguine about that last bit. After all, it certainly didn’t do the trick for us last time it was tried. As for the rest of it, yes indeedy—indubitably, unimpeachably correct, every last syllable of it.

Burn it down, salt the earth

Root. Branch. Bough.

The solution to the abuses we now endure is not just to subject the FBI to another fruitless inspector general investigation but to dismantle it completely. The bureau cannot be the focus of yet another congressional hearing. FBI Director Christopher Wray, like his predecessors, is more than happy to sit smirking while a handful of grandstanding congressmen and senators pound the table and yell on C-SPAN. Then he’ll jet off for a holiday vacation on a taxpayer-funded private jet while the same congressmen vote to increase his budget. Again.

No, the FBI must be rendered into component parts and distributed to the four winds.

The bureau has always had its problems and its detractors. Since the days of J. Edgar Hoover keeping his own “private” files on elected politicians and famous persons, the FBI has had a political streak. As an agency it has always been savvy about its reputation, bureaucratically out-dueling federal departments that sought to infringe on the bureau’s perceived preeminence in the fields of federal law enforcement and counterintelligence. But most of the FBI’s politicization had to do with maintaining its own administrative superiority and independence, not serving as muscle for a particular political party.

That’s no longer the case.

The FBI’s actions over the past six years make perfectly clear that the FBI is more than willing to serve as the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party. It serves as its patron’s shield in matters large and small. It exonerated Hillary Clinton for her illicit server. It raided James O’Keefe and Project Veritas when Joe Biden’s daughter lost her diary. It eliminated investigation into Black Lives Matter and other black identity extremists because those pursuits annoyed the Democrats’ Congressional Black Caucus. It refuses even to utter the word “Antifa” while churches and pregnancy centers are fire-bombed. It continues to cover up for Hunter Biden’s corrupt dealings with enemy nations, along with his indulgence in criminal prostitution and drug abuse.

But the FBI has also served as the Democrats’ sword as well. It knowingly laundered the Russian collusion hoax, lying in order to secure FISA warrants. It ambushed the president’s sitting national security advisor in a nonsense perjury trap. The FBI hunts down January 6 protesters while dodging congressional inquiries about the role of federal agents in provoking the incident. The FBI ginned up a fake kidnapping plot in Michigan to instill fear of right-wing terrorism, manhandled the former president’s lawyer, and shackled one of his former high-level aides.

And it has now raided the former president’s home under a mere pretext, while the Democrats openly crow on cable news about using a political prosecution to prevent Trump from ever again being able to serve in office.

Other attempts to rein in the FBI short of its abolition have failed. The FBI shows nothing but contempt for those authorized to oversee it. It routinely ignores inspector general investigations. It fails to prosecute or punish those who overtly violate established policies. It refuses to answer legitimate questions from Republican committee members. It doesn’t even respond to congressional letters of inquiry. It punishes FBI whistleblowers and seeks to purge from its midst those agents who aren’t in lockstep with its new praetorian guard role.

Never gonna happen, of course, for all kinds of reasons, not the least of which can be inferred from what I said last night: “At long last, Real Americans must recognize that our FBI problem doesn’t begin and end with the FBI alone; what we have here is, in truth, a big government problem, encompassing the damnable Federal edifice entire.” Even Reagan couldn’t eliminate the Dept of Education way back when, an agency of acutely dubious Constitutional remit which was only two years old at the time, nothing like as securely dug into the FederalGovCo corpus as the FBI is today. All that being so, I still think it’s important that a case be made for killing it off nonetheless, if for nothing more useful than an intellectual exercise, what Heinlein used to call “skull sweat.” Certainly, Shideler has constructed an airtight one here.

A few bad apples update! Panty raid!!!

FBI agents scoured Melania Trump’s wardrobe and spent several hours combing through Donald Trump’s private office, breaking open his safe and rifling through drawers when they raided the former First Family’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida Monday morning.

Oh, I just bet they did at that. Wonder how many sets of Melania’s criminally-dangerous frilly unmentionables wound up taken into Bureau custody strictly for private sniffing-session purposes back at Quantico by these pud-pulling Fibbie scumsacks?

“Provocation”? Fine by me

Disagree, with every fiber of my being.

This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown.
Don’t take the bait.

My overall sense of what happened at Mar-a-Lago is that this is a provocation.

If New York Times reporting is right — and they never err on the side of being soft on Trump — then this raid was over documents the National Archives thinks Trump should not have, or perhaps classified documents in his possession. That is not something the FBI raids major political candidates over — See, In Re Hillary Rodham Clinton.

This is a provocation. They are trying to get a reaction that allows a further crackdown. See, In Re J6.

It’s also a provocation to get Trump to declare his candidacy for President before the midterms. Democrats would love to turn 2022 into a referendum on Trump rather than the deliberate destruction of the national borders and inflation.

Would the FBI and DOJ do such a thing? Aren’t they “above” politics? The then FBI Director James Comey admitted to trying to set up the new President Trump by alerting him to the Steele Dossier, and then leaked the story of the briefing to CNN, which gave license to report on the false allegations in the dossier. So yes, the FBI and DOJ would do such a thing, and have done such a thing to Trump.

All the more reason to keep your heads about you.

Don’t take the bait. Being stupid isn’t tough, it’s just stupid.

And so once again, the same tired old argument for doing nothing in supine response to the most grotesque affronts imaginable is trotted out as if it were something fresh and new. As if we hadn’t been sanctimoniously lectured, again and again and again, about how very vital it is that we “take the high road”; that we prove ourselves to be “better” than they are by refusing to engage them, never “sinking to their level”; that defeat “with honor” is always preferable to winning “dishonorably.” As if the so-called “high road” had ever led us anywhere worth the trip.

Stuff and nonsense, that’s what. Mind you, I’ve always liked and respected William Jacobsen. Certainly, he’s a hugely talented blogger whose work I have enjoyed, linked to, and excerpted here at CF numerous times over lo, these many years.

But to me, the above is just horseshit of the purest ray serene, no more nor less. Foremost among several crippling flaws hobbling Bill’s pigeon-toed premise is the manifestly spurious idea that, should we timidly identify the Mar A Lago outrage as yet another hill which isn’t worth dying on, The Power will deign to reward the Serf Class for its forbearance by not “cracking down” on us “further.”

This is self-evidently absurd, absurd on its very face, absurdity on stilts. It is kissing-cousins with the perennial McCain/Romney Gambit, which forever contends—despite repeated demonstrations confirming the falsity of its core premise—that if we just Play Nice with them, then surely they’ll finally stop whacking us over the head with that awful Big Stick of theirs. Won’t they?

Well, it ain’t happened yet, nor is it remotely likely that it ever will. After all, given the consistent success abusing us has reliably yielded for them for so many, many years, why on earth would they ever abandon the tactic? Sorry, no; at the risk of sounding rather broken-recordish here: They WILL NOT stop. They will have to BE stopped. Which necessarily means giving them a REASON to stop. And that’s entirely on us, and nobody else.

At some point, one has to ask: Why must it always and forever be Our Side which is required to stay our hands, to restrain ourselves, to respond with moderation and judiciousness to ceaseless insult and injury? Why must Our Side always and forever be expected to abjure meeting calumny with calumny, radicalism with radicalism, violence with violence? Does “fairness” really demand of us, in the name of Bathhouse Barry Obama’s famed “This is not Who We Are” dictum, that we always and forever lower our heads submissively and meekly take whatever they and their Deep State entity might decide to dish out with neither objection nor resistance?

Are defiance, rebellion, rage, and refusal always and forever to be reserved as exclusive, proprietary provenances of the Evil Left, to be Theirs and Theirs alone?

If this be provocation, then make the most of it, I say. Whether we do or we do not, we will be treated no less harshly for it.

The “cream” of the crap

I figured, as well as very much hoped, that Steyn might have a thing or two to say about the execrable, loathsome FBI’s abominable act of Stasi-level thuggery against not just Trump, not just every Heritage American, but against decency itself. Happily, he didn’t let me down.

For almost a decade and a half now, the American “republic” has been decaying to the defining condition of a one-party state – that is, the total merger of the ruling party and the state. Last night, the dirty stinking rotten corrupt US Department of Justice signed off on a raid on Mar-a-Lago, so we’ve now moved into hardcore banana-republic territory: the regime’s cops are busting into the home of the opposition leader. We’re told this is because Trump took some “classified” documents with him when he left Washington. Yeah, that’s always a pretext for an armed raid: You could ask Hillary Clinton or Sandy Berger.

The FBI has been getting more brazen about its political thuggery this last year, increasingly relaxed about putting its thumb on the democratic scale. As my old pal from Hillsdale days, Joy Pullman, notes in a column written pre-Mar-a-Lago:

In Michigan, the FBI openly meddled in the upcoming election by affecting the selection of candidates, arresting and charging the formerly leading Republican candidate for governor for misdemeanors. The FBI raided Ryan Kelley’s home while polls showed him leading the primaries. In the primary election last week, he came in fourth.

Mission accomplished – and all while too many stars of the rube right were still insisting that there are just a few bad apples at the top, I know the rank-and-file, they’re salt of the earth, straight-shooting G-men, they gave me this cute lapel pin, etc, etc. There are no straight-shooting G-men: Who do you think are manning the raids, you chumps? Where are the whistle-blowers? Or even the guys who say, “No thanks, I didn’t sign up for this”? It’s a wholly corrupted institution and has been for the best part of a decade. The default position for what’s left of the opposition party ought to be that the FBI is beyond reform, and will be replaced by a new agency with vastly circumscribed powers.

Annnnnd BINGO. The vile Chris Wray—doubtless the very bottom of a too-deep barrel of inexplicably piss-poor Trump hires as President, alas—wasn’t present at the lawless fishing expedition. Nor was AG Merrick Garland along for the ride, the worthless bag of Lizard-person shit. Nope, every last one of the 30 or so jackbooted thugs at MAL, all of whom Grand Master-rank clueless doofi like poor Sean Hannity still mulishly laud as fine and honorable Americans, were plucked from Famous But Incompetent’s over-ballyhooed rank and file.

There is no “cream” of the FBI crop; it’s nothing but curds, lumps, and a sour, offensive odor all the way down. And from the rogue agency’s inception, it’s been that way. Of all the misbegotten, brutish, and obscenely powerful FederalGovCo divisions, the FBI has always been one of the very worst of the whole sorry lot. How could any agency founded and shaped under the tutelage of a conniving, twisted wretch like J Edgar Hoover—may he roast in Hell for a thousand millennia—be anything but rotten to the very soles of its expensive Italian loafers?

Ahh, but it gets worse yet.

Instead, I see Kevin McCarthy is now threatening Merrick Garland with an “investigation” and ordering him to preserve all documents. Ooooooh! Maybe, after the coming Republican landslide, they can appoint an independent counsel; maybe John Durham or Robert Mueller is available. Why would anyone take McCarthy’s threat seriously? If you don’t grasp that in today’s America there is no equality before the law, there is no point even discussing public affairs.

As for Trump, well, on The Mark Steyn Show three days after the “election” I suggested:

It’s my view that after the Biden regime takes power, as in many coup situations, they will want to have the previous leader arrested. I’m being perfectly serious here. It is the intention of the Democrat Party to put Trump in jail. So, when he launches the ‘Trump News Network’, it’s gonna need to be based out of Costa Rica or the Turks and Caicos or somewhere.

Does that sound a little extreme? Well, here was The Washington Post’s recovering “conservative” columnist Jennifer Rubin round about the same time:

It’s not only that @realDonaldTrump has to lose, his enablers have to lose. We have to collectively burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them. Because if there are survivors….they will do it again.

“Survivors”? There’s that ol’ Churchillian magnanimity in victory. As I said five days after the “election”:

My advice is to take Ms Rubin and her chums at their word…

Even if they never succeed in gaoling him, they will surely use the “peaceful transition” to put in place a couple of decades’ worth of litigation-without-end. Come to that, can he even trust the Secret Service agents they’ll assign to him?

He will never be a ‘normal’ former president – because they are determined to exclude him from those ranks.

“Normal” is not a word to apply to present-day Washington – which is why my advice to President Trump during that “peaceful transition of power” was to get the hell out of the country and be the king across the water. The purpose of Liz Cheney’s January 6th “hearings” is to lay the groundwork for turning Trump into just another of those poor schlubs who were wandering around the Capitol in MAGA hats and ever since have been in solitary awaiting a scheduling hearing for a conference call on a pre-trial hearing for their constitutionally guaranteed “speedy trial”.

Agreed, one million billion kajillion percent. In fact, after learning that Trump had asserted his 5A right against self-incrimination yesterday during one of the forty or fifty ongoing “investigations” into everything from his hairstyle choices to whether or not he enjoyed a good, stiff dump this morning, I’m comfortable with laying a most grim prediction on the table for all y’all.

To wit: It is now my belief that, barring some outlandish, unforeseeable occurrence up to and including Divine intervention, Donald J Trump will be locked up in a federal penitentiary within no more than one (1) year from today’s date.

Mark your calendars, folks.

The common, increasingly-irritating notion that this whole sordid business revolves entirely and exclusively around the 2024 “election” is the product of far too narrow, too small-time a viewpoint. Trump’s legion of enemies, tormentors, and anklebiters have long been known, rightly, as long-term planners, malefactors possessed of a near-infinite store of patience. Their perseverance is the stuff of legend; their arrogance, boundless; their commitment to the pursuit of power and the suppression of dissent, total. This being so, they can never be content to settle for merely fencing The Demon Trump off from a single election cycle. No, they want the man and his E-ville™ supporters, minions, and enablers destroyed utterly—for all time, beyond any hope of redemption or rebirth.

And if Our Side ought to have learned anything at all about their ilk by now, it’s that they have more than sufficient will and determination to see to it that things work out exactly that way.

Worst of all, their brass-balled expectation that Real Americans will sit idly by once more and just let it all happen without demur appears at this stage of the game to be wholly justified. Maybe I’m all wet on that, at least; I could easily be, and I hope to God I am, frankly. But right now, it ain’t looking to me like it’s the way to bet. Steyn’s conclusion is in no wise reassuring, to say the very least.

Oh, relax, the Durham Report will be coming any day now! If you’re still talking about “investigations” and “hearings”, you’ve already lost. If that’s the best McCarthy can do, it’s hopelessly insufficient to the moment: There ought to be total non-cooperation with the regime by the GOP with the intent of bringing it to a standstill – because this “administration has gone way beyond politics and is corrupting institutions to a degree that will make violence inevitable.

Oh, but don’t worry, says McCarthy, there’s that Big Red Wave coming in November.

Yeah, right. A throwaway line from The Mark Steyn Show of December 15th 2020:

By the way, when they mention Covid and 2022, that’s code for: ‘Yeah the US midterms are gonna get stolen too.’

From where I sit, it would seem that both Steyn and myself have the right of it: Trump should have fled these un-American shores long since, washed his hands of the whole mess, and spent the rest of his mortal existence relaxing on a sandy Bahamian beach with a frozen Margarita in hand, trying to forget that any of this shit ever happened at all. I for one would never dream of holding it against the man if he did precisely that. Clearly, there ain’t no salvaging what’s left of this country without a seriously bloody reckoning at this point. And if nothing else, Trump has earned himself a nice, extended vacay for his efforts.

Dusty in here, ain’t it?

If this one doesn’t have you puddling up by the end, I’ll thank you to just kindly keep your lamentable dearth of even the smallest trace of humanity to yourself, aiight? Thenk yew.

The man and woman in this vid are truly angels in human shape, far as I’m concerned, an assertion with which I will brook no dissent. Via MisHum, dedicated to Bill, who I know will love it as much as I do myself.

An eerily prescient piece from Joy Pullman.

The FBI And DOJ Criminalizing Opposition To The Regime Is How The Republic Ends
A two-tier justice system is not a justice system. It is a totalitarian system. Its purpose is not justice but population control.

On Thursday, Barack Obama’s Attorney General Eric Holder decided it was the time to bring the subtext of the Jan. 6 show trials and related domestic security state activities into the open.

“My guess is that by the end of this process, you’re going to see indictments involving high-level people in the White House, you’re going to see indictments against people outside the White House who were advising them with regard to the attempt to steal the election, and I think ultimately you’re probably going to see the president, former president of the United States indicted as well,” Holder told SiriusXM host Joe Madison.

Holder noted that the U.S. Department of Justice he formerly headed is working with the illegally constituted Jan. 6 Commission towards this goal. We know these entities are also working with the FBI, whose head bit his thumb at congressional oversight repeatedly in a public hearing last week.

An indictment of former President Donald Trump would be a breathtakingly authoritarian turn. It would amount to the U.S. security state refusing to accept “no” from America’s voters yet again. An indictment would be an unelected and unaccountable federal agency overruling voters’ two-time rejection of impeachment through their elected representatives.

This is the core danger of the administrative state: Its now open propensity to go rogue. It is apparently hellbent now on turning the United States into a banana republic.

The Deep State’s muscular veto over Who Will Rule is being flexed right out in the open with its implacable, fanatical, systemic persecution of Trump both during his nefariously derailed White House tenure and back on Civvy Street.

Democrats called Donald Trump a fascist, authoritarian, and wannabe dictator for chants at his rallies of “Lock her up,” referring to his opponent Hillary Clinton. At the time, leftists pointed out that imprisoning, interrogating, investigating, and otherwise using government resources to harass and prosecute one’s political opponents was the mark of tyrannical regimes such as Vladimir Putin’s and Adolf Hitler. “Democracies don’t lock up political opponents,” the Washington Post editorial board told us in 2016.

Anybody foolhardy, naive, or gullible enough to still believe that Amerika v2.0 is a “democracy,” please find a thick, plush towel to dry yourself behind the ears, mmmkay? It’s the most bitter irony I know of: the easiest way a “democracy” can be subverted, weakened, and eventually brought crashing down with the barest minimum of bloody conflict is to blind itself into torpor and inaction as the erstwhile Loyal Opposition is busily transitioning into full-blown Enemies, Domestic™.

That is still true when the ones pushing the interrogations, investigations, entrapments into committing felonies, show trials in unusual venues with no cross-examination or due process, early morning home raids, excessive detainment, and asymmetrical punishments are Democrats.

Sorry, no. The very moment when those “political opponents” first begin “pushing the interrogations, &c” is when said Democracy MUST act vigorously in defense of its own continued existence, else it will surely be destroyed.

Rigid adherence to principles and ideals such as “Democracies don’t lock up political opponents” when you are under assault by revolutionaries who are cunning enough to weaponize those very principles for use in overwhelming and toppling your noble democracy is hapless idiocy of the purest ray serene.

The Demonrats have openly proclaimed their intention to supplant the limited central government envisioned and created by our Founders under their Constitution and replace it with an intrusive federal monolith possessed of unlimited power, inhibited by no shame, compassion, or decency, answerable to no outside authority or ombudsman. Our Founders were completely direct and plainspoken about what must be the response of a free people to such clearly predatory depredations. Their prescribed remedy assuredly does NOT mention meticulously maintaining strictest observance of the full rights and privileges for turncoats who are no longer due the privileges and courtesies they long ago squatted and shat upon.

Cross the line from legitimate dissent into outright sedition, as a majority of the Democrat Party incontrovertibly has done for years? Man up, own it, take your lumps without cavil or complaint, then. Don’t act as if the concepts you’ve denounced and the country you’ve betrayed owe you anything more nor less than a fair trial, followed by a first-class hanging.

“The seed of a totalitarian cancer”

Root, branch, and bough.

President Harry Truman saw the FBI as the seed of a totalitarian cancer it would later become. “We want no Gestapo or Secret Police,” Truman wrote. “F.B.I. is tending in that direction. They are dabbling in sex life scandles [sic] and plain blackmail when they should be catching criminals.” Whether it’s mass unconstitutional spying, interfering in American elections, lying to courts, or entrapping and sometimes framing innocent Americans, the debate over whether we should have an FBI is drawing to a close. Almost every month another informed author calls for the abolition of the FBI.

So let’s move on to the next question: How do we get rid of the FBI?

In theory, a properly motivated Congress could defund and shutter the FBI with a simple piece of legislation. Unfortunately, until Democrats and establishment Republicans swallow their fears and wake up to the threat the FBI poses to self-government, the FBI remains above the rule of law and beyond the reach democratic accountability.

Still, there are incremental steps that could be taken to challenge the lawlessness of this untouchable agency. The winds of public opinion have begun to blow strongly against the FBI making the previously unthinkable possible. Republicans and Democrats should join together to take action, if they still can.

Not gonna happen, I’m afraid; the divide is too capacious, the breach between Us and Them too vast to ever be bridged so easily. Plus, the Demonrats are liking the FBI just fine these days; at this point, the agency has more than adequately demonstrated how deep and firm their support for the Leftist/authoritarian program is, so the Dems will remain happy as clams to just sit back and watch the fun.

Truman also wrote, “Hoover would give his right eye to take over, and all congressmen and senators are afraid of him.” Democrats are fools if they believe the FBI is a reliable ally. Truman would know. The FBI attempted to throw the 1948 presidential election by leaking to Republican challenger Thomas E. Dewey “compromising information about President Harry Truman’s former association with the Kansas City political machine of the corrupt boss Tom Pendergast. The details soon found their way into Republican campaign literature.”

The problem is a thorny one because the FBI’s access to the vast national security databases (and its willingness to abuse them to spy on Americans) acts as a powerful psychological deterrent to politicians seeking to challenge the bureau.

Wait, there are some?

Under the Freedom of Information Act, a request for information made to any government agency shall be processed within 20 business days, or approximately 30 calendar days. The FBI simply ignores this requirement, often insisting on a timeline of years.

In one typical case, the FBI claimed it could not produce records of its surveillance of civil rights activists for 17 years. Both the Justice Department and its subordinate FBI have intentionally structured their FOIA systems to fail to keep up with public demand for records. This should be forbidden. Congress should force both agencies to provide the resources and staffing to meet the statutory deadline for documents. There’s little difference between the FBI being allowed to delay a request for 17 years and simply ignoring the law altogether.

The practice of slow-rolling FOIA requests lets the FBI and the Justice Department operate in near total secrecy, something that is anathema to democratic governance. If the FBI’s failure to follow FOIA time limits pertains to requested documents evidencing FBI misconduct, a requesting party should get attorney’s fees if it becomes necessary to sue to overcome stalling or obstruction.

Similarly, the FBI uses the excuse of a matter being under “active investigation” to block requests for materials that would potentially embarrass the bureau. Director Christopher Wray is particularly adept at claiming any topic that could shame his agency is “under investigation,” thus precluding him from discussing the matter. When the FBI wants to cover something up, say, the provenance of a laptop containing evidence of corrupt dealings of a favored politician, it simply keeps the investigation open for years and years, long past the point any serious investigation would have concluded.

Congress can and should define the limits of this “under investigation,” secrecy. Too often the FBI has held open an investigation into a matter of public interest while leaks aligning with the FBI’s interests continue to crop up in sympathetic media. After six months’ allowance of such secrecy, the FBI should be required to seek approval from the local U.S. attorney to certify the legitimacy of the continued secrecy. After a year, ongoing confidentiality should require approval from the attorney general himself.

Who will then proceed to rubber-stamp every one of ’em just as the FISA “court” invariably has. At long last, Real Americans must recognize that our FBI problem doesn’t begin and end with the FBI alone; what we have here is, in truth, a big government problem, encompassing the damnable Federal edifice entire.

The author lays out several proposals NOT for “getting rid of” the corrupt, irredeemable Fibbies, but to hopefully regain some sort of nominal control over it. All of them are just fine as far as it goes…and y’all know as well as I do that there ain’t a snowball’s chance of a single damned one of them being implemented. As long and loud as I’ve called for the destruction of this misbegotten, wholly corrupt blight on the Founders’ Republic myself, I harbor no illusions about such a beautiful dream ever coming true. Not without We The People forcefully going through FederalGovCo entire like shit through the proverbial goose, it won’t.

A new low

Anyone who thinks I’m overstating how deeply, fanatically obsessed these 24-karat loons are with Trump is hereby encouraged to think again.

I mean, like, STRONGLY encouraged.

Remember our toilet scoop in Axios AM earlier this year? Maggie Haberman’s forthcoming book about former President Trump will report that White House residence staff periodically found wads of paper clogging a toilet — and believed the former president, a notorious destroyer of Oval Office documents, was the flusher.

Why it matters: Destroying records that should be preserved is potentially illegal.

Trump denied it and called Haberman, whose New York Times coverage he follows compulsively, a “maggot.”

  • Well, it turns out there are photos. And here they are, published for the first time.

Haberman — who obtained the photos recently — shared them with us ahead of the Oct. 4 publication of her book, “Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America.”

  • A Trump White House source tells her the photo on the left shows a commode in the White House.
  • The photo on the right is from an overseas trip, according to the source.

I didn’t bother to hit the link and look at the pics, because man, just fuck that noise all to hell and gone. Monica Showalter, however, had a strong enough stomach to take the, ummm, plunge.

Since the toilet pictures are right in our faces, what I see in this toilet picture are what look like a few doodled names, not official records. Is a president no longer permitted to jot down doodles with names without their becoming official records?

All of this is assuming the pictures are genuine, and the scrawled notes in the toilet actually did come from Trump, who, clean freak that he is, somehow left a lot of unflushed toilets around for staff to photograph.

Here’s the question I have:

If the violation was so severe that official records were being destroyed and the staffer was so motivated by concern about the matter, despite working for Trump, why didn’t that poop-minded creature looking into other people’s toilets fish out the errant document and preserve it as evidence? You know, for patriotism, the call of duty? That would have made the notes a helluva lot more damning and persuasive as evidence than these gross photographs, which contain no proof that the scrawly doodles even contained any content, or that Trump wrote the scrawls, or that Trump flushed the notes, or that Trump was discarding official documents. How do we know that this “official document” wasn’t tossed into a wastebasket, and then placed in a very generic-looking toilet outside the White House as some kind of flushed document in a supposedly republic-threatening cover-up? There wasn’t exactly a chain of custody here.

I should certainly hope not. That said, I would put nothing whatsoever past these rubber-room habitués, up to and including bobbing for stinkpickles and other emetics in an unflushed bowl full of such horrid effluvia, hoping to extract a reeking but incriminating doodle-sheet from the filthy flotsam afloat therein, folding my noisome prize gingerly, and carrying it around in my pocket or purse for days on end, joyously reveling in my “journalistic” coup instead of immediately scheduling an appointment with the best shrink I could afford to try and ascertain just how and why it was that I had lurched so fantastically far afield from good mental hygiene as to actually detail, in a book intended for release to the general public, this bizarre fetish for disporting myself in various thundermugs full of God knows what, for purposes of retrieving an artifact of interest exclusively to other crackbrained nutjobs like myself.

Clobberin’ time!

Who they are. What they do.

Trump says Mar-A-Lago home in Florida ‘under siege’ by FBI agents
Former President Trump on Monday said that his Mar-A-Lago home in Florida is “under siege” by a “large group” of FBI agents.

“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate,” Trump said. “It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections.”

Sorry, Mr President, but you’re wrong; The Power gives a tinker’s damn about neither Republicans nor “conservatives.” What the orcs won’t allow to ascend to real power in Mordor On The Potomac ever, ever again is real, true outsiders, to wit: the Deplorables; honest, patriotic Normals who are sincere and serious about instituting the kind of sweeping, stem to stern reform America so desperately needs. They let you slip past them once; they have NO intention of letting such a thing happen again.

“Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before,” Trump said, alleging that the FBI agents broke into his safe.

Indubitably, incontrovertibly, undeniable so. With this naked Federal brigandry, this lawless insult to the now-dead US Constitution, each and every last Real American must now squarely face up to some hideous realities and make some extremely painful decisions. With this brazen slap in the face, the time to take a stand has well and truly arrived.

“What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee?” he said. “Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.”

Easy-peasy: Watergate was much ado about nothing whatsoever in comparison with this outrage.

I’ll cut this off abruptly here to go dig around a bit more, and will return shortly. Until that time, I will commend to your closest attention Trump’s piercing insight from back in 2015-16: In reality, they’re not after me. They’re after YOU. I’m just in the way. Remember it; it’s still true as it ever was, perhaps even more so now than ever before.

Update! Trump’s full statement.

Truthout

Intolerable update! In his official statement above, Trump laments that “it just never ends.” Better get used to that, Mr President. Because this abuse never WILL end, for you or for us, unless and until WE END IT OURSELVES. We are all damned well aware of what putting an end to it is going to require of us.

According to the Associated Press, FBI agents were looking for classified documents that Trump may have taken from the White House while he was president.

Recall, the National Archives raided Mar-a-Lago earlier this year and retrieved Trump White House record boxes.

It turns out all they found in the boxes were gifts, mementos and letters to Trump from world leaders.

Every recent presidential administration has had some Presidential Records Act violations, but the media has to sensationalize this story because it involves Trump.

In February, the National Archives claimed classified records were found in Trump’s boxes at Mar-a-Lago.

“NARA has identified items marked as classified national security information within the boxes,” Ferriero wrote, responding to a question from the House, according to CNN. “Because NARA identified classified information in the boxes, NARA staff has been in communication with the Department of Justice.”

Trump routinely brought classified material to Mar-a-Lago, a place he dubbed his ‘Winter White House.’

Whenever President Trump has wanted to view/store classified material at Mar-a-Lago, he would do so in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility).

The classified material found by the National Archives was stored in the SCIF and it is not unusual for a former president to be in possession of classified documents.

Furthermore, a US president can declassify material at any time.

Trump is right.

Monday’s FBI raid was a desperate attempt to stop Trump from running for president again.

Oh, none of us should be selling these Swamp vermin short, this is a hell of a lot more than simply that. None of us ought to be deluding ourselves that this audacious gambit is about mere partisan political maneuvering, nor that its scope is limited to the 2024 “election” alone. This is no more nor less than a shot across our bow—a direct, explicit, and unabashed warning to any amongst us, be he great or small, who would dare to oppose, thwart, or defy them from this day forward.

I say again: they are fully, uncompromisingly committed to seeing one Donald J Trump thrown into prison for the rest of his natural life as vengeance for his many dastardly transgressions against the all-seeing, all-powerful, all-controlling Überstate. If, against all odds, they can’t manage that, they will certainly assassinate him without a moment’s hesitation.

The myriad “investigations” intensely scrutinizing Trump; his business and financial interests and associations; his holdings and personal wealth; his family; his tax records; and absolutely everything the man has ever done, said, or thought will continue indefinitely, for however long it may take to either find or fabricate something, ANYTHING, they can use to smite the man utterly, not just to break him but more importantly, pour encourager les autres.

“Sympathy”? Naaah

Bitter Centurion ain’t sure about it, but I certainly am.

I read an article yesterday on Substack by the ‘2nd Smartest Guy in the World’ that got me thinking:

https://2ndsmartestguyintheworld.substack.com/p/pro-deathvaxxer-has-rude-awakening

In the article, he is essentially saying that we should feel sympathy and show compassion towards those who took the clot shot because we need them on ‘our side’.

Y’know…I’m not sure I have it in me, to be totally honest.

The reason being is because of the sheer cruelty that a good many of the ‘vaxxed’ exhibited towards the people who chose not to subject themselves to the shot, not because they actually went and got the shot. I’m about as indifferent to that as I am to that same person taking a hit on a crystal meth pipe.

It was not more than eight months ago, just in Canada, I saw that a good number of the ‘fully vaccinated’ were more than okay with:

  • the state, and private businesses in accordance with the state, impeding the right of the unvaccinated to assemble and move freely in various establishments, and also in and out of the country.

  • the unvaccinated being denied health care services as doctor’s visits, dental work, and various surgeries.

  • grocery stores denying unvaccinated people the right to go into grocery stores to buy basic necessities, such as food.

  • the idea of the police and health establishment forcibly vaccinating people by way of assault.

  • the idea of the unvaccinated being arrested and forcibly relocated to camps or other such facilities where they would be segregated from the rest of society.

  • the Prime Minister of Canada going on television and asking whether the unvaccinated “should be tolerated” because they, in his words, “take up space”.

Indeed, there was not much empathy or compassion to be found among those who gleefully submitted themselves to the ‘clot shot’. Those who weren’t so obnoxiously leading their self-righteous charge against the ‘filthy unvaccinated’ chose, instead, to remain silent and kept their heads down rather than stand up against what they knew was wrong. I didn’t see a hell of a lot of it, anyway.

So now that it’s come to light that this…vaccine (which isn’t a vaccine) is not only completely useless in keeping people well (which it was clearly stated it was supposed to do), but is now lethal to people who have taken it, there’s quite a few people who now have ‘egg on their face’, metaphorically speaking.

I’m not sure I have a lot of sympathy or compassion to spare. The ONLY reason the narrative has shifted, we are no longer in the ‘State of Fear’ we were in eight months ago, and people’s attitudes are changing is because the truth of all of this has come out a lot quicker than it was anticipated by those who engineered this ‘scam-demic’. It is only due to their incompetence that everyone is learning the truth of the origins of COVID-19, the coordinated pandemic response measures of individual governments, and the true nature of the vaccines.

Had none of this come to light when it did, I wonder if I would not be sitting in front of a computer right now, typing this blog entry. I wonder if my children would not be playing in their yard, in the sun and fresh air, as my wife tends to her small garden. I wonder if we would have all been subject to arbitrary arrest and detention, sent off to some goddamn camp in some place that’s miles away from anywhere.

If that were the case, I think it’s probably a safe bet that nobody – least of all those who I’m told I should be feeling sympathy and compassion for – would have shown any sympathy and compassion for the unvaccinated whose rights were being relegated to nothing. I doubt they would have shown the courage needed to stand up and help them and try to stop this latest incarnation of man’s inhumanity to man.

We’ll never know how far this would have gone, but we can certainly say that the scam-demic didn’t stop in its tracks because those who dutifully got vaccinated and unquestioningly complied with the system suddenly grew a conscience. Far fucking from it, in fact.

The ‘2nd Smartest Guy in the World’ asserts we need them on ‘our side‘. Do we? Seems to me, if there was a time we needed anyone on ‘our side’, it was eight fuckin months ago when everyone was showing their true colours. Now? Why the fuck do we need them now? Why the fuck should I care that they’re full of ‘regret’ and are scared of dying because we, the unvaxxed, were right all along and they were wrong? If ever there was a time we needed those people to stand and be counted, it was when the ‘powers-that-be’ started acting like tyrants and bullies and brought in the goddamn mandates. That was when we truly needed them. It was at that time where they had their chance to prove that they had a pair of brass balls; they had the chance to be heroes, and they fucking blew it!

Agreed, right down the line. Having shown themselves to be the petty, craven, easily-manipulated dimestore dictators they so truly are, they can be grateful if a distinct lack of sympathy for their plight is the worst their betters choose to visit upon them. Fuck them all, every last one of them. With “friends” like those pusillanimous pissants, we’ll never want for enemies. Liberty-minded people won’t ever “need” such as they, any more than I need another hole in my fucking head. They’re despicable, that’s what. Let them all go die in a fire for all me.
