In the midst of fascist darkness, the lamp of liberty remains lit

An enheartening FauxVid reminiscence.

In the summer of 2020, when the entire nation seemed to have gone mad with fear of the COVID virus, some Long Island retailers gave only lip service to the draconian lockdowns, masking dictates, and “social distancing” requirements. They published the “rules,” but put little or no effort into imposing them on their customers. Those were the ones I patronized. Yet it was all too obvious that most Long Islanders had been cowed by the bellowings from Fauci and the politicians who saw in his pronouncements an opportunity to increase their power over us.

Masking was ubiquitous. People avoided coming close to one another. The floors of supermarkets were festooned with markings about social distancing. Some put up signs making the aisles into “one-way streets.” It was beyond depressing.

But I do remember one bright spot. It occurred in a Walgreen’s pharmacy / general store. I was there to collect a prescription: blood pressure medications. On my way to the pharmacist’s counter I spied a young woman accompanied by three small children. The young woman was shopping as casually as anyone I’d ever seen. Her kids followed her quietly, exhibiting perfect public behavior rarely seen in toddlers today. And none of the four were masked.

The young woman smiled when she noticed me looking at her and her children, for I was unmasked as well. We greeted one another and exchanged some small talk as the children clustered around us. Her English was excellent. It developed that she was a widow, a recent immigrant from Eastern Europe who’d just been granted resident alien status.

Of course the conversation eventually came to the pandemic and the lockdowns. I complimented her on not giving in to the fear campaign. It made her eyes brighten. She smiled and nodded.

“They did this sort of thing to us in my native country,” she said. “Arbitrary rules, pulled out of the air. There wasn’t even an excuse for it, much of the time.”

“It gladdened me to see another person who won’t bend to the madness,” I said.

Her smile acquired a tinge of pride. “I didn’t come here to put up with more of that nonsense,” she said. “I came here to be an American.”

It kept a smile on my face the whole day.

As well it should’ve, Francis. These days people like her are much more truly American than all too many who were born and raised here, alas.

Here legally too, no less—a rarity indeed. Refreshing all the way around, I’d say.

From MAGA to MEGA

The Jeddak of Jeddaks gets positively jiggy with it.

Trump’s agenda is not compatible with American decline. Trump wants America to thrive. He wants America to be strong.

Just as a weak country must weaken its allies, a strong country can afford to strengthen them.

This would be a complete break with decades of implicit US foreign policy.

Trump has said repeatedly that he wants Europe to pull its weight in NATO, meeting the 2% GDP threshold that all member states are theoretically expected to fulfill, but which almost none of them actually do. Being a businessman, he frames this in financial terms: why should America pick up the tab for Europe’s defence? Which is certainly an urgent matter, given the disastrous state of America’s national debt. But this has inevitable geopolitical consequences. A remilitarized Europe that can actually defend itself is a Europe that is no longer at the mercy of the American military.

Making Europe Great Again isn’t solely a matter of investing more in European militaries. Such an agenda reaches into everything. Arabs and Africans need to be remigrated, in vast numbers. The rainbow parades need to stop: a continent of prancing sodomites is not a continent that can defend itself. And, of course, the economy must be revived: the overly intrusive regulatory fetters must be peeled off and set on fire, in order to make it possible for Europeans to once again exercise that famous, world-shaking creativity. People talk about “American ingenuity”, and Americans are ingenious, but this is only because Americans are a subspecies of European.

Extending MAGA to MEGA is not a matter of charity. The interconnectivity of the world makes MEGA essential to MAGA, and vice versa. The vampire strategy of ruling by weakening the imperial dependencies a little faster than they weaken the imperial core just results in the whole system getting weaker, which is a problem when your opponents are pursuing the opposite strategy domestically.

MEGA is also domestically important. The people running Europe are loyalists of the US deep state. As one example, the EU has been used as a way for the American deep state to try and do an end run around the US Constitution and reintroduce internet censorship, particularly on X, via the back door: the Eurocrats and their tame courts are quite happy to help them with this. There’s also a symbiotic relationship between Eurocrats and their left-wing American counterpart in the deep state: leftist policies are implemented in European political laboratories, which are subsidized by the American economy; their ‘successes’ are then cited as reason to bring these same policies home to America. If Trump is serious about dismantling his enemies at home, he also needs to crush their allies abroad.

This absolutely magisterial piece is a long ‘un indeed, of which you will most definitely want to read the all, folks.

Troll level: JEDI MASTER

You gotta love it. Which, I most certainly do.

‘Trump Train’ trolls celebs from Oprah to Meghan Markle by driving through their tony Calif. enclave
A cavalcade of Trump fans trolled an A-List California enclave filled with lefty celebs such as Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle by driving their “Trump Train’’ right through it Saturday.

A series of posts on X showed the succession of flag-waving, sign-holding, horn-honking cars and motorcycles traversing Coast Village Road in Montecito defiantly blaring their support for the president-elect.

The wild display was likely an unwelcome shock to the hordes of limousine-liberal stars — some of the Democrats’ biggest donors — in the Santa Barbara suburb.

Winfrey, Markle and hubby Prince Harry, as well as bold-faced names such as Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ariana Grande, Rob Lowe, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, call the Southern California paradise home.

The tony town, nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, provides just the right mix of mild weather and scenic seascape for privacy-seeking celebrities with cash to burn.

Saturday’s California spectacle was just one of many so-called “Trump Train” processions that have popped up in cities and towns across the US in support of The Donald.

He ain’t even taken office yet, but what we might call “the Trump Effect” is already being felt everywhere.

Personally, I can only agree with absolutely everything this guy says—especially the last bit.

They won’t learn the lesson if you don’t take ’em to school

Schlichter nails it to the fucking floor.

We Won and We Need to Act Like It
Breathe deeply and savor the musky scent of broken leftist dreams. Mmmmmmm. Smells like freedom! Now, we must get busy pummeling our enemies. Some silly people will say that you shouldn’t kick an opponent when he’s down. That’s actually the best time to kick him.

This is no time to go wobbly. We beat the left decisively and completely. Their humiliation is complete. They thought they had us at their feet and at their mercy. They thought they could throw our avatar in jail and thereby disenfranchise and silence us. They thought they were going to be in power forever and rule over us as if we were serfs and they were feudal lords, except feudal lords were actually kind of butch and had swords and stuff and didn’t go around crying because someone used the wrong pronoun to describe them.

The leftists on the decisive platform Twitter – let’s have a big round of applause for Elon Musk and, while we’re at it, the great Scott Pressler, who may have single-handedly won this thing through his work in Pennsylvania – are also melting down. They’re very upset. This is good. But some Republicans, who are eager to return to the Elder Times, will want to console and comfort them and reassure them that it’s all going to be OK. This is so very wrong. We need to ensure that it is not going to be OK for them. We need to break their stranglehold on our culture and our government. That can’t be done gently. It has to be done ruthlessly and harshly. After they literally tried to throw Trump in jail for the rest of his life and murder him, let’s hope our rebooted president understands that.

This is not the time to be nice. This is the time to rub their faces in their defeat. Somebody’s got to win this fight. I propose it be us. When we beat the Japanese and the Germans, we did not forgive and forget. We broke them. We exacted righteous retribution. Only then did we allow them to return in a form that would no longer threaten us. Now, sadly, the Germans can’t threaten anybody, and for too long, we had to pay for their defense, but that’s going to change under Trump 2.0. As for the Democrats, they lost and now they get to experience what losing means.

They are entering the “Finding Out” phase.

Exactly, precisely so. It’s what I was trying to get across here, but Kurt says it so much better than I ever could.

As such, knuckling under to their piteous, lunatic caterwaul would severely undercut the verymost critical part of the handy-dandy FAFO formulation: the “Finding out” part. That would be an error of truly monumental proportions, one which would only guarantee that we’ll have to relive the sweaty, hideous nightmare we’ve only just emerged from far sooner than we otherwise might.

So yeah, let’s not do that, then. Let ’em scream, let ’em cry, let ’em wave their chubby little fists and wail “it’s not FAAAIIIIRRRR!” like the whinging brats they so truly are. But above all else, MAKE. THEM. PAY. Back to the esteemed COL Schlichter for our denouement.

To the victor goes the spoils. Time to collect our spoils. We won. We need to act like it. And if they aren’t crying, we aren’t trying.

Yes indeedy.

Here we go again

Kudos and a big fat “attaboy” to Trump lawyer Mike Davis for putting it straight, no chaser.

Your “Show more” workaround:

“I DARE YOU to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump […] We’re not messing around this time and we will put your fatass in prison for conspiracy against rights.”

This. This right HERE, friends. Puts me in mind of a tasty meme I’ve been sitting on for a while now:

To quote my knuckle-tattoos: BANG, ZOOM!

Alas, there are those out there who will insist that we must “take the high road,” that we “not descend to their level,” all the same old codswallop. Ever wonder why Our Side has been losing to the Enemy for so long we can hardly even remember what winning feels like? Very simple, very easy: because Their Side plays hardball—remorselessly, unapologetically, continually—while Our Side plays soft NO-ball.

Ace offers a somewhat different, more pragmatic take:

For context: I think James started this war of words by claiming she was getting ready to prosecute Trump through is presidency.

Which itself is more evidence that all of her charges are bogus.

Here’s the trouble: Trump seems to be on the verge of the New York Court of Appeals overturning this charge. The judges were extremely skeptical of all aspects of James’ felonious prosecution.

But government paper-pushers protect each other. If the Court feels that Trump is threatening a fellow bureaucrat, they can decline to overturn the charges, or just suspend them until Trump’s out of office.

Yelling and blustering like the drunk guy in a bar feels good but it’s usually not the best strategy.

Don’t get me wrong; I do agree that Tish James is behaving illegally and is using her power to punish a political opponent. And indeed, she admitted as much in her campaign.

And it would be justice to do the same thing to her.

But it’s not wise to threaten her openly as the justices debate the charges. Especially when you’re on the verge of a huge vindication.

If you think liberal justices are going to just say “Well, they’re both doing it, there’s no harm here,” then you have a different understanding of partisan liberal Democrats than I do.

He may have a point, and it may even be a good one. Be that as it may, though, I contend that Davis’s approach is the way to go: hit ’em HARD, hit ‘em often; make ‘em cry, bring the pain down on ’em again and again and again until they beg you to stop. Then hit ‘em again, even harder. Never let up, never show ‘em an ounce of mercy. God forgives; we, on the other hand, do NOT. As Juanny Mav McLame confirmed for us so many times over so many years, treating with them as if they were honorable, decent folks is nothing but a mug’s game.

Contra our ol’ buddy Ace, I think it’s far more likely that the NY Court of Appeals is holding a moistened finger aloft, testing which way the wind is blowing—hence the rumors of abandoning the lawfare campaign against Trump. The reason for this sudden volte-face is patently obvious: FEAR, period fucking dot.

As has always been inevitable, the Left/D卐M☭CRATs/whatever spent the last five-ten years pushing way too far, way too hard, way too fast. Tuesday may have slammed on the pernicious Letitia James’s brakes for the nonce, but the accelerator pedal has assuredly been neither removed nor disconnected.

Trump’s overwhelming landslide victory this week of right ought to be viewed not as just a run-of-the-mill, politics-as-usual “election” win, but as an actual, by-God uprising. That point should be, MUST be, driven home like a stake through a vampire’s heart, so that the Goosesteppin’ Left won’t ever dare forget. Nothing less will suffice.

At the risk of becoming tiresome, I’ll make with the sagacious words of history’s greatest cavalryman Bedford Forrest once again: Get ‘em skeered, and keep the skeer on ‘em. It really is the only way. We try to make nice with the cloven-hoofed devils of the Left at our tremendous peril…a grievous unforced error we will, as usual, very much regret ere the end.

Peanut’s revenge

Speaking to us from beyond the grave.

Can there be any serious doubt about what’s going on here? I THINK NOT. Thank you, Peanut!

APOCALYPSE NOW!

I love the smell of liberal tears in the morning. Smells like…victory.

Update! Insty:

SO KAMALA DIDN’T SPEAK LAST NIGHT, AND DIDN’T CALL TRUMP TO CONCEDE. A (female) friend messages: “Charming that the Democrats have twice put up a woman against Trump, who gets too drunk the night of elections to give a concession speech.”

They’re not sending their best people. Or heck, maybe they are . . .

Heh. Indeed.

Updated update! Just hit me that I’ve gotta get busy getting the Scrooge Picard theme up and running quick as I can. Why, you ask? Because for once, Christmas truly did come early this year, of course. 😉

Strong, smart women for Trump

Many of them, but nary a one of them stronger, smarter, or just plain smoking-hotter than the alluring Drea de Matteo, who lays it down clean and tight in this vid.

You go, girl, and good on ya for this excellent smackdown of someone who desperately needs it.

DeSantis delivers

Ron the Great slaps ‘em down again, and it’s a joy and a wonder to behold.

PREACH it, Guv. “Show more” transcript:

“The chance of me virtue signaling for people in the media is zero. So, do not count on that. I do not subscribe to your religion.”

“I get you have an agenda, I understand that. I think you should be more honest about what that would mean for people: taxing them to smithereens, stopping oil and gas, making people pay dramatically more…we would collapse as a country.”

And that’s the whole story. Hit ‘em again, Gov, harder and in the head this time—I think I see one of the shitlib pieces o’ shite still crawling around under that pile of stinking corpses.

TRIGGERED!

To hell with Presidents, of any and every partisan stripe: Elon Musk for God-Emperor of Earth, I say.

Elon Musk works another miracle as Lilliputian progs snipe
Elon Musk is working miracles with rockets, but a bunch of California apparatchiks want to stop his launches because of…his tweets.

The immigrant genius stunned the world Sunday as his SpaceX landed a reusable Starship booster back on the launchpad.

This is a huge tech advance, bringing launch costs down by a factor of ten and advancing space exploration and exploitation by decades.

Meanwhile, the California Coastal Commission just rejected the Space Force’s request for more frequent SpaceX launches on the Golden State’s Central Coast by a vote of six to four, with some of the “nays” specifically citing Musk’s political speech.

Ayn Rand must be spinning in her grave…or laughing at how so-called “progressives” spurn actual progress when driven by a truly independent mind.

Meanwhile, bet on Musk to beat the Lilliputians: Expect him to launch the first manned mission to Mars from Texas, which has the good sense to welcome him and all his businesses.

“Lilliputian” would definitely be the mot juste here.

Virginia Tech academic: Stop sending humans into space — it’s ‘imperialist’
The ‘inclusion of more social scientists’ needed at NASA, etc.

Yet another university academic is warning about continued human space exploration due to its “imperialist mindset.”

Savannah Mandel, a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech and an “outer space anthropologist,” adds to what seems to be a trendy argument about investigations into outer space.

According to Virginia Tech News, Mandel’s book “Ground Control: An Argument for the End of Human Space Exploration” argues that “rushing to send more humans to space […] mirrors an imperialist mindset that harms Earth’s humanity and environment.”

Maybe if you threatened to hold your breath until you turn blue, sweet-cheeks. That usually works for ya, right?

JD hits ’em AGAIN

Good and hard, too.

J.D. Vance Destroys ABC News Anchor for Downplaying Immigrant Gang Violence
Sen. JD Vance appeared on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday morning, during which Martha Raddatz attempted to downplay concerns about Venezuelan gangs taking over apartment complexes in Aurora, Colo.

It did not go well for Raddatz.

The conversation took a turn when Raddatz tried to brush off the issue by labeling it as “a handful of apartment complexes,” but Vance wasn’t having any of it.

At the heart of the exchange was Raddatz’s pushback on Donald Trump’s remarks about violent gangs in American communities, which the mayor of Aurora, Colorado, has downplayed. Raddatz couldn’t quite get her narrative straight, however.

“He’s making these statements that the mayor is flat out disputing,” Raddatz said of Trump.

But Vance, quick to catch the spin, responded: “Well, Martha, you just said the mayor said they were exaggerated,” to which Raddatz attempted to cover herself, by saying they were “roughly exaggerated.”

And that’s when Raddatz really stepped in it.

“Senator Vance, I’m gonna stop you because I know exactly what happened,” she claimed. “I’m gonna stop you. The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment conflicts apartment complexes, and the mayor said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems.”

And that’s when Vance pounced.

“Only, Martha, do you hear yourself?” he said. “Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem and not Kamala Harris’s open border.” Vance’s frustration was palpable as he pointed to the broader issue of America’s border crisis and the consequences of millions of unvetted migrants entering the country. “Americans are so fed up with what’s going on, and they have every right to be. And I really find this exchange, Martha, sort of interesting because you seem to be more focused with nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over by violent gangs.”

“Only a handful”—which, naturally, is perfectly fine with shitlib scum like Raddatz and her loathsome ilk, for whom the only real problem is not that this is happening at all but that it isn’t more widespread than it already is. Here’s the vid:

We could do a whole lot worse than JD Vance as Veep, or even President. And almost certainly will.

Update! Slammin’ Schlichter nails ‘em to a cross.

So damnably predictable, this Progressivist progression.

Updated update! Upon further reflection, this story underscores the divide, providing proof positive of the insuperable nature of the fundamental conflict in Amerika v2.0: “people” like Martha Raddatz will never, ever understand why Real Americans like Vance find even ONE apartment complex being taken over by violent, criminal foreign gangs unacceptable.

Yet somehow, we’re expected to find some way, ANY way, to live cheek by jowl with “liberal” shitweasels, as opposed to just exterminating them like the plague-rats they are? And any failure to do so is nonetheless OUR fault and not theirs, because “racist bigots,” or “Trump is Literally Hitler,” or some other such folderol? Sorry, NO.

In JK Rowling’s fantastic Harry Potter series, Professor Trelawney’s cryptic prophecy regarding Harry and Lord Voldemort includes a line that really says it all: Neither can live while the other survives. That’s as good a summary of the current contretemps as I can think of right offhand.

They’d probably object to me saying so in this context, but the lyrics of this thoroughly awesome Disturbed song fit the bill pretty neatly.

“Turned into someone who cannot be preyed upon…” If they fear anything at all, that would have to be it, in my estimation.

PREACH it, Guv!

As I have always maintained: as far as Presidents of the US go, Ron DeSantis sure makes one hellaciously good Governor of Florida, don’t he? Yes, I get that he has ambitions to higher office, is a career politician deep down, is cordially loathed by some Florida residents who know him better than I do, all that jazz. But still.

While I certainly wish the man no ill in any way, shape, or form, I nevertheless hope he’ll eventually find it in himself to foreswear his yearning for career advancement and just stay put where he can and actually IS making a genuine, meaningful difference—right now, not later on, not someday if/when/perhaps-possibly. In my estimation, not just FLA but the rest of us really can’t afford to lose him as Governor, nor do we wish to have to sit back and watch him become just another blunted needle in the Mordor On The Potomac haystack, so to speak. We already have plenty and to spare of those as it is.

A taste of what I’m talking about:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said people should put Hurricane Milton “in perspective” in response to a reporter’s question about climate change.

At a press conference on Thursday, DeSantis was asked whether “global warming” impacted the hurricane’s intensity after Milton spawned several tornadoes that wreaked havoc in the Sunshine State.

DeSantis rejected the premise that Milton was worse than previous hurricanes, stating, “I think you can go back and find tornadoes for all of human history.”

Compared to previous storms, Milton had a barometric pressure of about 950 millibars when it made landfall, the governor said. “I think if you go back to 1851, there’s probably been about 27 hurricanes that have had lower barometric pressure – so the lower the barometric pressure, the stronger it is.”

The governor noted that 17 hurricanes stronger than Milton made landfall in Florida prior to 1960 and that the strongest hurricane on record since the 1850s was the Labor Day hurricane, which occurred in 1935 and had a barometric pressure of 892 millibars. The most deadly hurricane in Florida history happened in 1928, he added.

“I just think people should put this in perspective there. They tried to take different things that happened with tropical weather and act like it’s something – there’s nothing new under the sun,” DeSantis said.

“I think what’s changed is we’ve got 23 million people. A storm is likely to hit more people and property than it would have 100 years ago. And so the potential for that damage has grown, but what’s also changed is our ability to do the prevention, to pre-stage the assets.”

Dayummm, whodathunk we’d ever hear such plainspoken, unflinching common sense from an American politician in this day and age? No dissembling, no evasion, no throat-clearing, no foot-shuffling; zero tolerance for shitlib dishonesty; just the straight dope backed up by facts, figures, and actual history, all hurled into their very teeth with neither fear nor apology. It’s refreshing, that’s what.

I mean no slight or insult whatsoever when I say that—although far be it from me to call into question Da Guv’s ability to rise to the challenge of the national stage and be outstanding there—his gifts, skills, and experience make DeSantis such a naturally perfect fit for the great state of Florida that there can be no disgrace in contenting himself to continue serving in that (supposedly) lesser role.

Having been a full-throttle embracer of risk-taking my entire life, I well understand the appeal to a man such as DeSantis of rolling the dice on a run at the Presidency, to win or lose it all. If he wasn’t a risk-taker his own self, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion in the first place. In the end, though, is the prize really worth the pursuing? Only DeSantis himself can say, which is only meet and just.

Consider: as Governor, his actions and initiatives have visible, real-world impact, generating effects and consequences that resound well beyond the state line. Conversely, Faux Jaux Bribem’s flailing, floundering, flubbing tenure as ***”pResident”*** exposed the figurehead nature of the American Presidency for all with eyes to see. If we learned anything from his tragicomic reign of error, it’s that the sock-puppet perched behind the Resolute Desk has very little, if anything, to do with how the country is actually run.

Whatever the case may once have been, referring to the President as “The Most Powerful Man On Earth” is mere habit now, nothing more—a rhetorical tic as comfy and familiar as an old pair of slippers, form without meaning. As it has metastasized, the locus of federal power has gradually shifted away from the Oval Office until today it resides elsewhere, wielded by skulking éminences grises without names, faces, or accountability.

Governor D besieged in the White House, subject to the less-than-tender mercies of such as they? Forbid it, Almighty God!

Should DeSantis choose to remain in place as Governor, Amerika v2.0’s loss will be America That Was’s gain. And there ain’t a damned thing wrong with that, either.

Take ’em out, take ’em out, take ’em ALLLLL out!

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Note the secondaries, which would tend to support the weapons-depot hypothesis. No reasonable non-((((JooJooJooJOOOOO!!!))))-obsessed person can say they didn’t have it coming. Meanwhile Netanyahu, for his part, makes an encouraging prediction.

Netanyahu: Iran’s Islamic Republic will fall sooner than people think
Netanyahu claims Iran’s regime will fall soon and envisions future peace between Israel and a free Iran amid reported IDF strikes on Hezbollah targets.

T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished.

“When Iran is finally free – and that moment will come a lot sooner than people think – everything will be different,” he said.

“When that day comes, the terror network that the regime built in five continents will be bankrupt, dismantled,” Netanyahu explained, adding that Iran will “thrive as never before.”

“There is nowhere in the Middle East Israel cannot reach,” Netanyahu said on Monday. “There is nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country.”

On Monday, he released a statement in English aimed at the Iranian people, explaining that “at this pivotal moment, I want to address you – the people of Iran. I want to do so directly, without filters, without middlemen.

“With every passing moment, the regime is bringing you – the noble Persian people – closer to the abyss,” he stated.

“The vast majority of Iranians know their regime doesn’t care a whit about them,” Netanyahu said.

I’m afraid I can’t honestly say as I’m as optimistic about that “vast majority” business as Bibi appears to be. Be that as it may, Godspeed to you, your country, and its valiant armed forces, Mr Netanyahu, sir. If this be “genocide”—which is of course arrant, stark-raving shitspew from the “our natural allies” doofi of the Crackpot Right—then make the most of it, sayeth I.

Get up, stand up

As y’all know, I stopped with the Eyrie-promo posts here a long while back; in all that time, this makes only the second exception to that general rule to date. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
