Just great

It’s a real-life rerun of That 70s Show, forever and ever amen.

A cyberattack has forced the shutdown of a major gas pipeline in the U.S. that supplies 45% of all fuel consumed on the East Coast.

The cyberattack against Colonial Pipeline, which runs from Houston to Linden, New Jersey, began 7 p.m. on Friday night, according to a Federal Emergency Management Agency report reviewed by ABC News.

“We proactively took certain systems offline to contain the threat, which has temporarily halted all pipeline operations, and affected some of our IT systems,” the company said in a statement.

Colonial’s network supplies fuel from U.S. refiners on the Gulf Coast to the eastern and southern U.S. and transports 2.5 million barrels a day of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other products through 5,500 miles of pipelines, the company said.

It’s not clear how long the pipelines would be shut down. The shutdown will affect other pipeline operations such as the Buckeye and Twin Oaks Pipeline, which runs through the New York City-Long Island area and Maine, FEMA said.

SO, then: everybody ready for gas lines, shortages, and all the accompanying nightmarishness again? Because that’s what’s coming, ready or not. Looks like my forecast of five bucks a gallon at the pump by summer was way too rosy.

Sleep, sleeeeeep

Since the successful theft of the 2020 “election,” the installation of Befuddled Joey Diddleyfingers as figurehead of the Occupation Government, and the likewise-fraudulently overhyped Jan 6th tempest in a teapot, I find myself becoming more and more impatient with all the purblind Pollyannas of the Vote Harderer!™ movement. This has led me to give up reading a depressing number of Righty pundits who I had previously much admired, and whose take on things I reliably agreed with.

It saddens me deeply to have to add the once-great Kurt Schlichter to that ever-lengthening list.

Clean House in 2025

Shoulda been done in 2017, too late to do it now. Trump’s baffling failure to do so—whether out of naive cluelessness, or because he was always in on the Swamp scam himself as some assert—is the main reason he’s out in the cold now and is going to stay that way, no matter how many new websites he launches.

When President DeSantis is sworn in at 12:00 pm on January 20, 2025, he should give a short speech and by 12:10 be firing people. Lots of people.

Okay, it might not be the current Florida governor – we do know it’s not going to be Gov. Nikki! Haley (R – Establishment) or Kristi! Noem (R-NCAA) – but whoever beats Kamala Harris like a drum needs to come into the Oval Office ready to clear-cut the bureaucracy.

Riiiight. Because, having just pulled off the greatest political hijacking of all time, there’s absolutely no reason at all to think the Uniparty cabal would dare to do it again next time around.

Sheesh.

Every keen observer understands that Donald Trump’s first and foremost failure as president was personnel. He did not get it right until the end, and then it was far too late. There are two reasons for this. The first is that for all his iconoclasm, Trump used to believe in our institutions and it took him a while to see how totally corrupt they truly are. For years, he gave the NYT interviews even as it trashed him because, well, it was the Times and the Times was prestigious.

For much of his term, he had that same kind of deference to establishment figures. He thought Rex Tillerson would be great because he was a rich head of a huge corporation. He thought generals were impressive because they had medals, and he famously got shafted by each and every one of them that he relied upon. He thought, for too long, that the DoJ and FBI and other agencies really had America’s interests at heart instead of the liberal establishment’s priorities.
It was all baloney.

They were all terrible, and they all worked ceaselessly to undermine and even imprison him. It was only at the end that Trump found trustworthy folks who would do their jobs instead of pursue outside agendas. For example, Trump’s third National Security Advisor, Robert O’Brien, was the best National Security Advisor maybe ever – gee, he only oversaw peace achieving in the Middle East – and the reason you might not recognize his name is because he never became the story like McMaster or Bolton. Mike Pompeo – who also will never be president, sorry – was likewise a loyal and effective Secretary of State. But it took almost four years to get the team on-board.

Fine and well so far; so stipulated, without demur. And then off the rails we go again.

The other issue was that Trump had no Rolodex. The other issue was that Trump had no Rolodex. The Bush cabal had thousands of loyal obedient minions/potential staffers to call upon in the off-chance that hell froze over and Jeb! got elected to something other than “Most Likely to Fail.” Trump had no one to call. That’s a big part of why his administration was staffed with people who had zero loyalty and spent their time undermining him and his policies.

Dude, SRSLY?!? One of the most successful, savvy, well-known, and well-connected NYC movers and shakers in history “had no Rolodex”? It’s difficult for me to accept that there could still be anybody out there with intact powers of observation who truly believes that.

President De Santis will not have that problem – there’s a whole generation of experienced conservatives out there to call upon to staff his administration. And they will to be ready to separate the wheat form the chaff when they take up their places.

President De Santis will certainly not have that problem, right enough…because there ain’t gonna BE any “President De Santis,” and whichever mental-defective, rumpswab, or common con artist the Uniparty fiends put on offer will assuredly NOT be beaten like a drum. As for that “whole generation of experienced conservatives” bushwa: what, you mean there weren’t any of those available before, but now they all of a sudden sprout up just when they’re needed most? Puh-LEEZE.

He needs to get to firing. And right away.

No, Trump needed to do that. He was the last desperate throw of the dice; the opportunity was missed, and there ain’t no do-overs or second chances in this game.

It just goes on from there, all adding up to yet another clueless, pointless Meat Beat Manifesto—the same sad daydream, unvaried and futile as ever.

Update! WE’RE SAVED!!!

GOP Now Threatening to Break up Facebook After Decision Upholding Ban on Trump

BWAAAAA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASUCKERRRRS!

As we reported earlier today, Facebook’s Oversight Board upheld the social media platform’s indefinite ban on President Donald Trump, despite also finding that an indefinite ban violated Facebook’s own rules and calling on the platform to “determine and justify a proportionate response that is consistent with the rules that are applied to other users of its platform.” They gave the platform six months to come up with that proportionate response.

The decision was not well received by Republicans who already feel that the platform has not been fair to them and imposes its rules unevenly.

Mark Meadows, President Donald Trump’s former chief of staff decried the decision and said that members of Congress were looking into whether they needed to break up Facebook.

Coming soon: the appointment of a blue ribbon panel to look into this very, very, very grave issue. Follows, Congressional hearings, in which Fuckerberg will be brought in to lie his ass off like he did the last seventeen times. After that, another rigged election to convince all you pesky rubes that you really DO have a say in how you’re governed. Then: FREE COOKIES!!!

Gah.

“We Can’t Throw the Rascals Out”

TINVOWOOT: it’s not just a slogan anymore.

It has now been one hundred days since the Investiture of the Puppet, and the political junkies have moved out of the “honeymoon” phase and into the early run-up to the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential contest. Republican stalwarts are plotting strategy for retaking the House and/or Senate. The intertubes are abuzz with speculation about whether Trump will run again, or whom he might pick as his running mate, or whom he might endorse if he decides not to run. Pundits and punditesses are tracking and analyzing Joe Biden’s every mumbled utterance and Kamala Harris’ every raucous guffaw. Cartoonists and meme artists are in a frenzy of mockery, given that they have so much ludicrosity and buffoonery at hand to work with.

But, really, what’s the point?

To all appearances everything in the political world is business as usual. As if nothing out of the ordinary happened in the wee hours of November 4, 2020. As if millions of votes weren’t created out of thin air — call it “fiat voting” — by the party that runs the permanent government and operates in symbiosis with the media and Big Tech. As if the same scoundrels aren’t in control of how the votes will be counted next time. As if they aren’t plotting even greater control (see H.R. 1, the “For the People Act”).

Even Donald Trump seems to subscribe to the widespread illusion, and is looking forward to trying again in 2024. Doesn’t he realize why he lost to an unappealing apparatchik afflicted with senile dementia? Why does he think the result will be any different when he has to run against Kamala?

I enjoy reading the punditry of mainstream Republican partisans, who post witty and entertaining observations about all the bizarre political goings-on in Washington D.C., or on the Left Coast, or in the lofty empyrean of the ivory towers of Woke Academia. But I don’t confuse any of it with reality. The sound and fury of D.C. bears no more relation to real life than do The West Wing or The Simpsons. Paying attention to all that political theater is just a way of passing time until Ragnarøk finally arrives in full force.

I must admit, however, that I find it difficult to put aside my ingrained habits of thinking. Whenever some particularly grotesque Progressive policy is implemented by city, state, or federal lawmakers, my customary response is: “Well, those people got what they voted for.”

It’s hard to remember that they may not actually have voted for it. It’s quite possible, especially at the federal level, that key office-holders who shepherd the enactment of all this egregious wokeness were not the choice of a majority of voters in their particular constituencies. Democrats and RINOs have now perfected the process of controlling who gets elected.

He ain’t just whistling Dixie on that. I’ve been wondering a good bit about whether they really might have “voted for it” myself, what with the audacious skullduggery we’ve witnessed of late. In fact, we all might have cause to wonder. Exhibit A:

Are Free and Fair Elections in America Possible?
A disturbing look inside 42 Broadway.

What follows is detailed and factual account of crucial importance to all Americans regardless of political party affiliation, in understanding local, regional, and national elections and what has been corrupting our political election process.

Today, political candidates are blocked from even appearing on the ballot due to the nefarious machinations of political insiders.

This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue, but an American issue involving all political parties. It is about democratic participation in our political system. It is how potential candidates do not even reach the ballot box and are thwarted by entrenched political insiders in collusion with Board of Elections executives. Thus, the status quo is maintained. It is the undermining of the foundation of the democratic voting process that we the voters trust, which has been usurped by ten political “commissars” in a room.

The nefarious drama took place, as it always does, at 42 Broadway in Manhattan, in the bleak hearing room of the Board of Elections. In this room, the 31 Republican candidates knew their fate was already determined. This is the factual account of 31 Republican candidates, running for public and party offices in Queens, who were recently thrown off the ballot for meaningless technicalities, thereby denying 130,000 registered Republican voters in Queens County, NY a choice in the upcoming June 22nd Primary Election.

A former commissioner revealed some of the shocking details of the insider protection racket at the top tiers of the Board of Elections and party organizations. According to the former insider, the commissioners, general counsel, the party bosses all collaborate to pre-determine the approved candidates to get on the ballot and who they want to knock off. These private “horse-trading” sessions occur prior to the public commissioners hearings, which are carefully pre-scripted to make sure the insurgent candidates do not have ballot access in their party’s Primary Election.

This is how the story played out.

Trust me, you’re definitely gonna want to read all of this one. It’s staggering to consider the possibility that even as stout a bastion of liberalism as NYC might actually not be quite as stout as all that, like we’ve all been manipulated into assuming.

In conversation with friends and family recently I’ve stated my personal hope that, in the next presidential “election,” Real Americans express their disdain for the wholly fraudulent charade by staying home en masse. It won’t happen, of course, but I’d be pleased to see the next Housetrained Republican Inc™ offering get no more than, say, three or four thousand votes total. No, your protest non-vote won’t suffice to fix things, nor is it going to get us all out of this mess. If nothing else, though, the rotten, thieving backroom-blaggards in charge will at least be made aware that they’re no longer fooling anybody—that the game is at last up, and we’re neither willing to continue playing nor interested any longer in being played.

Voting is a tacit grant of legitimacy to an electoral system with no discernible trace of any. By our participation, the flimsy “consent of the governed” illusion is sustained and perpetuated. It’s time and well past time that Real Americans in massive numbers let it be known—loud, clear, and in no uncertain terms—that consent has been unequivocally revoked. Let The Power stew on that one while the rest of us go on planning, preparing, and battening down the hatches for whatever’s coming next.

“We’re really gonna show ’em in 2022/2024/2056/whenever”? Oh, PUH-LEEZE. Just shut the fuck up already with that tripe, willya? At this point, you’re just embarrassing yourselves. The American electoral system is irrepairably broken, beyond all hope of reform, not to be relied upon or trusted in. It has been for many years, perhaps longer than even someone as profoundly cynical as myself would believe. The one and only redeeming quality of our national “elections,” trifling though it is, resides in whatever entertainment they may still provide for the gullible, the mentally retarded, lonely old shut-ins, and/or the terminally bored. Serious, honest people must stop pretending it isn’t so. We can’t afford to. American elections are a joke…and that ain’t no laughing matter.

Update! Almost forgot to throw WRSA its due and proper “Via…” credit for the Bodissey link, as well as for the fine vintage Don Surber quote that’s going with a quickness into our Notable Quotes sidebar section. Thanks much, my brother.

Let the Thunder roll

Joe Bai-Deng’s Deep State handlers sure are some petty, spiteful little bitches, ain’t they?

The U.S. Department of Defense has denied a parking permit to the American Veterans or AmVets to stage a rallying point at the Pentagon ending a 32-year-old tradition on Memorial Day weekend for Rolling To Remember.

Now AmVets will try and secure RFK Stadium as an alternative staging area.

AmVets Executive Director Joe Chenelly tells the 7 News I-Team he received a call from the Pentagon Friday afternoon saying “A gentleman at the Pentagon told me that after careful consideration, our permit application was denied. He said considerations involved the continued spread of COVID-19 in the region and the nature of our event being that we are proposing a large gathering for an extended period of time.”

The Pentagon released a statement Friday night that read:

“Unfortunately, the department has disapproved AMVETS permit request. The department took into careful consideration all aspects of AMVETS request, to include the current Health Protection Condition status on the Pentagon Reservation; substantial community transmission of COVID-19 in Arlington County, Virginia; number of Americans fully vaccinated across the nation; nature of this event with its decreased ability to maintain physical distance; and large crowds in one location for an extended period of time. This event draws national attention and participation; therefore the risk of exposure from participants from other communities extends well beyond the National Capital Region.”

Yeh, yeh, yeh. Sundance puts paid to all that happy horseshit.

American flags, veterans, patriotism, pride in America, courage, pride, honor, strength…all the things represented by the motorcycle group known as “Rolling Thunder” who have traditionally rallied on Memorial Day in Washington DC. Unfortunately, all those adjectives are also things the intolerant leftists hate…So the Biden administration denies the group a parking permit.

And there’s the REAL reason. Toss in the fact that a large percentage of old-school scooter trash types are armed-forces vets themselves—genuine American fighting men, not the mincing transvestites of today—and that the Rally was originally conceived as a way for bikers to pay tribute to their fellow veterans as well as call attention to the POW/MIA cause, and it can’t be any real mystery why the illegitimate ruling junta would want to thumb the official nose at the annual rally.

Some years back in this space, I recall spitroasting a whiny column by some candypants shitlib whose name I don’t consider worth dredging up from faltering memory, complaining piteously about how badly his twee self had been frightened by the noise, crowds, and traffic caused by all those big, badass bikers motoring by. Evidently, Bai-Deng’s DoD femmes feel the exact same way about it.

Let me just check the ol’ Wayback Machine and see if I can maybe find…

And whaddya know. It was actually one of my Leatherballs columns for OB, not a regular old CF post. The AiQ (Asswipe in Question), unsurprisingly enough, turns out to have been the execrable Garrison Fucking Keillor, and here the piece t’is. If you don’t know just who and what Keillor is, you can learn all you’ll ever need to know about that, and probably more than you ever wanted to, at the link.

The unbearable arrogance of the Ruling Class

Meddling in affairs that are much, MUCH too big for them.

Way back when the Covid panic began, smart people pointed out that shutting down an economy was going to have unforeseen consequences. A modern economy is an incomprehensibly complex organism. Even turning off some parts of it for a short time will change the organism, resulting in downstream changes. It is why people who work with complex things are very careful about the changes they make. They accept that there is much about the system that they cannot known in advance.

Of course, the people in charge are sure they have it all figured out, so they just blundered ahead with their lock downs and new rules. Shutting down most of the restaurant industry and closing the schools. for example, radically altered the demand side of the food market. Suddenly, goods for the restaurant business had no demand, while demand for home products shot through the roof. This should have given them pause, but they kept blundering ahead with their schemes.

Anyone who has been in a grocery store of late knows that food prices are jumping like it is the 1970’s again. There are also weird shortages. Something like mayonnaise will disappear from the shelves for a week and then come back, but then plastic bags become scarce. The same phenomenon is happening with other things like building supplies and petroleum products. The official statistics are complete nonsense, so we have no idea how much food has jumped. It is enough that people are talking about inflation in private conversations for the first time in decades.

The usual suspects, of course, are spilling into the streets to chant about fiat currency, hyperinflation, and the rest of their stuff. It is as if the Great Pumpkin has finally risen out of the pumpkin patch. They have been waiting their whole lives for the Weimar moment foretold in the prophesies. Because these people are always wrong it is good to remember they are wrong now. The problem now is actually much worse than too much money chasing too few goods. It is systemic.

For starters, governments around the world have been taking sledgehammers to the global supply chain. These supply chains evolved over a long period of time to solve the problems of getting goods to the market. In response to Covid, government willy-nilly started turning things on and off without much thought. The system can respond to short term emergencies like natural disasters, but it was never equipped to respond to random outages imposed by people who have never had a job.

Then you have the stimulus plans. Having idled large swaths of the economy for periods, the same people frantically turning things on and off started pumping money into the retail side. At first this new money was absorbed in the system. Personal debt fell in 2020 as people got conservative in the face of the crisis. They also began to change their lives in response to the lockdowns. Going to the movies and out to eat is a habit, not a necessity. Lots of habits changed in 2020.

The upshot to all of this is we are seeing real inflation for the first time in generations, but we have a variety of causes this time. In the 1970’s, it was too much money chasing too few goods. Pulling money out of the economy was painful, but it worked. This time, we have too much money in some areas, but we have broken supply chains and labor markets contributing to the problem. The Fed cannot do anything about shortages of aluminum cans or chicken farm with too few chickens.

Why…why…why, WHO COULD HAVE FORESEEN…?!?

When feckless, lackwit ProPols who are every bit as certain of their own brilliance and omni-competence as they are lacking in experience with the world outside the goobermint cloister stick their ten thumbs into matters they have absolutely no clue about, the resultant massive goat-fuck is commonly referred to as “unintended consequences.” In a system as complex and intertwined as a national economy, the catastrophe wrought by the hamfisted jiggery-pokery of such cretins will produce far-flung ramifications that can take years to wend their way through the national fabric, victimizing entire populations and ruining many millions of lives. The cascade of unwelcome effects brought on by in-way-over-their-heads politicians working the WuFlu powergrab are multifarious and unpredictable. For instance:

Lack of tanker truck drivers could lead to gas shortages this summer
With gas prices already surging this year, another fuel problem may soon be on the horizon.

Some in the industry are now predicting a fuel shortage come summer. And it’s not due to a supply issue, but rather not enough tank truck drivers to move the fuel to gas stations.

CNN reported that industry group National Tank Truck Carriers said nearly 20% to $25% of tank trucks aren’t being used right now as there are not enough qualified drivers available. The year before the pandemic struck, that number was only at 10%.

The problem reportedly became magnified last year when Americans weren’t driving due to the coronavirus pandemic shutdowns, and gas stations just didn’t need as much gas. This meant truck drivers weren’t getting enough work and many chose to leave the business.

Also adding to the challenges is that the job requires a special certification and a certain amount of training. During the pandemic, many of the truck training programs were also shut down.

Bold mine, no further elaboration necessary. Remember, this is but one of innumerable examples of the knock-off effects caused by opportunistic ProPols fiddling about under the Covid cloak. Back over to Z for the grim conclusion.

None of this means there is no answer. Often, the right answer is to do nothing and let things run their course. That was the right answer with Covid. As with Covid, the rulers cannot accept that answer, so they will thrash around some more. The people animating the corpse of Joe Biden are promising to smash things up some more for the greater good. After all, what matters to them is that we know the people in the mansions and castles really care about us, while they live like royalty.

The result of all this is we are heading into a cruel summer. The bill for the Covid response is coming due. How a society responds to crisis is the result of the social trust in that society. America is a low trust society now. Further, the people who will be counted on to dig out of the mess created by the rulers are now treated like second class citizens by those rulers. The fix to the 60’s and 70’s was to first repair the loss of faith in the system. It is hard to imagine that happening this time.

It is at that…but it damned well ought to be, when you think about it. After all, loss of faith isn’t what needs fixing here, being only a perfectly appropriate response to a system that has become demonstrably unworthy of it. The best—probably the only—effective way to deal with the kind of untrustworthy, dysunctional dumpster-fire of a system this one has devolved into is to dismantle it, then start over with a new and hopefully better one. Probably the best way to get THAT project off to a good start would be to see to it that this time said rulers will damned sure NOT be allowed to evade the consequences of their monstrous conceit, for once in their worthless lives.

Breath: not holding it

T’is a consummation devoutly to be wished all the same.

  1. What if the Arizona audit shows massive voter fraud and changes the outcome of their state’s election for President and Senate?
  2. What if Donald Trump declares a government in exile in Florida based on this finding?
  3. What if Governor DeSantis recognizes and protects this alternate government?
  4. What if other state governors recognize the Trump government or withdraw their consent to the Biden administration until all state audits in question are completed?

It certainly would be a good day in the neighborhood if the federal government was marginalized until a resolution is made for our future.

I can only hope that these traitors will all receive a fair trial and then publicly be hanged until dead.

Alas, hope is the only thing we can do. In the unlikely event that any of them DO have righteous justice visited upon ’em, it will have to be the street variety, and it won’t be a court that levies it. That’s all up to We The People now.

Here’s how it is: every sensible, honest person ALREADY KNOWS that there was indeed “massive voter fraud” committed, of numerous varieties. The only ones who deny or dismiss that simple fact are either A) laboring mightily to ensure that it stays suppressed, in hopes of shoring up the faith of the foolish few in a nonviable system; B) proselytizing in support of said fraud; C) active participants in said fraud; or D) working to advance the Leftist/Deep State agenda in some other fashion.

Beyond that, though, I just gotta ask: what, exactly, does anybody expect to take place even if the audits establish beyond all argument that the 2020 election was in fact fraudulent? Think the Harris/Biden Occupation Government will just humbly step aside to allow for the installation of the legitimate President? Will Kamalassar Harris or Confusticated Grampy Joe express contrition and shame, offering their most sincere apologies for their crimes? Will the Democrat-Socialist Party be sanctioned, banned, or officially disbanded? Will any of their co-conspirations be brought to trial on charges of treason?

Of course not; as pleasant a daydream as it might be, it will never amount to anything more than just that. In the deathless words of King Arthur:

Audits, investigations, and the like are all just mental masturbation at this point: satisfying, in a shallow, momentary way, but ultimately pointless. The FUSA’s dismal fate was sealed when Pence declined to meet the Constitutionally-mandated responsibilities of his office and do his sworn duty, which was abundantly clear—a despicable act by which the long-tottering moral foundation of the US federal government was rubbled, its illegitimacy indelibly proclaimed. January 6th ought forever to be remembered as (to borrow FDR’s famous phrase) “a day which will live in infamy,” but not for the reasons Real Americans have been beaten over the head with relentlessly ever since. Which, come to think of it, is a whole ‘nother fraud in itself.

From my cold, dead hands

Which terms, don’t let’s kid ourselves, will be perfectly acceptable to the rotten fascist bastards.

So the oligarchs had Biden mask up and meet our other rulers, via Zoom, to discuss our next big panic. Global cooling.

According to one report, “President Joe Biden’s ambitious plan to slash greenhouse emissions by 50 to 52 percent over the next decade could prompt sweeping changes that could affect how Americans eat, drive and heat their homes.”

Smash!

How Biden smash? Biden take charge! By taking away your meat and having you consume oligarch-owned corporate-produced high-margin food-like plant-and-chemical-based concoctions. Yes, the oligarchs will grow wealthier once you’re forced to give up the healthiest food there is, but you will do your part in ensuring global cooling doesn’t contribute to a tenth of a degree change in globally averaged temperature in the next century.

Specifically (same source):

Americans may have to cut their red meat consumption by a whopping 90 percent and cut their consumption of other animal based foods in half.

Gradually making those changes by 2030 could see diet-related greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 50 percent, according to a study by Michigan University’s Center for Sustainable Systems.

To do that, it would require Americans to only consume about four pounds of red meat per year, or 0.18 ounces per day.

It equates to consuming roughly one average sized burger per month.

What would all those corporate-owned burger joints do, complain? No, sir. They’ll make the switch to chemical cuts and serve up “impossible” and “beyond meat” “burgers”. And charge more for them, likely, to both increase their profits and convince you it’s your fear-based duty to pay more and “save the planet”.

My dears, the planet isn’t going anywhere and is no need of saving.

Doesn’t matter, of course. The Climate Change (formerly Global Warming, formerly Global Cooling, formerly “the weather”) hoax is a subterfuge, a flimsy mask covering their real agenda.

The University of Michigan, as you have seen, is given credit for some of these “studies.” The Beyond Meat company commissioned one such study from UM’s “Center for Sustainable Systems“. And Lo, this study found—or is discovered more appropriate?—Beyond Meat good, real meat bad.

…Let’s look at the “study”, commissioned by Beyond Meat in their quest to discover whether real meat was better or worse than the fake meat they were selling. What do you think they found—or discovered—in this study? This:

Based on a comparative assessment of the current Beyond Burger production system with the 2017 beef LCA by Thoma et al, the Beyond Burger generates 90% less greenhouse gas emissions, requires 46% less energy, has >99% less impact on water scarcity and 93% less impact on land use than a 1/4 pound of U.S. beef.

So important was this finding—or discovery—they used italics to announce it. That’s how you know it’s true.

Looks like money well spent for Beyond Meat! But don’t applaud yet, because there’s more!

The Center for Sustainable Systems kept at it, finding—or discovering—meat accounts for “56.6%” of “greenhouse gases contribution by food type in [an] average diet.” Not 56.5%. No way. It was much more serious. It was 56.6%. That level of numeric specificity is what makes it science.

The saddest part, I think, is what will predictably follow this opening round of battlespace prep. First, we’ll get the usual comment-section chest-thumpery at various Righty blogs, stoutly declaring that Biden’s Deep State wardens “WOULDN’T DARE” do this, or “cannot” do it, because Muh Constitution! and miscellaneous other wishful thinking. Then comes the defiant op-ed nattering about how WE’RE REALLY GONNA GET THOSE DEMOCRATS, by electing more Republicans in the elections of 2022, 2024, 2026, 2028, &c &c. Yep, those damned Commies are really gonna rue the day after we take back Congress again! Next up: a steaming, stinking pantload of the they’re scared of us! because we have all the guns! variety of blah de blah de blahblahblah.

The result of all this self-deceptive pud-pounding? In only a few short years, “Independence Day” cookouts across this benighted disgrace of a nation (assuming official government permission) will see all those obstreperous self-proclaimed guardians of liberty happily chomping away on delicious, Gaia-preserving “burgers” made in a corporate chem lab from crushed cockroaches, lawnmower leftovers, toenail clippings, and Soylent Green, in the most grand and glorious celebration of Our Precious ‘Murkin Freedom™ ever. The disgusting things would probably taste somewhat better if they were grilled over some good ol’ traditional Kingsford briquettes. Which unfortunately won’t be available, having been banned well before as the deadly menace they so truly are.

Just you wait, my friends. Just you wait.

FLY, YOU FOOLS!

Bailing on Blue.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Minneapolis is my home. My happiest memories are here. It’s where I learned to ride a bike, had my first date, received my high school diploma.

But today, I’m too afraid to even walk in my neighborhood by myself.

The ACE Hardware down the street? The one that I used to bike to in the summer? Robbed twice in the past five days.

The Walgreens next to my elementary school? Molotov cocktail thrown into it.

The Lake Harriet Bandshell, where we spent countless Mother’s Days? Homeless encampment popped up next door.

These are the things you don’t read about in the news.

Ten minutes from my house, at 38th and Chicago, there is still an autonomous zone. Police are not allowed to enter. Residents have died because medical authorities couldn’t get through, and carjackers (of which there are MANY) will speed into the zone to escape officer pursuit.

My favorite dinner theater canceled its production of Cinderella because it was “too white.”

My church — my beloved, tiny, Lutheran church — organized social justice marches for our congregation while refusing to reinstate in-person services (they’re still virtual, by the way).

And how about the week of the 2020 riots?

We lived under a curfew for days while looters seemingly roamed freely. Friends fled their home at 3:30 a.m. because the auto parts store behind them was on fire. And then we watched in horror as our City Council members demanded that the city defund the police — as they hired armed security for themselves.

I no longer recognize Minneapolis. I no longer want to live here. We are done, and I am leaving.

Can’t say as I blame ya, kiddo. Sadly, though, what’s been done to Minneapolis is no different than what’s been done to many if not most other formerly-American blue cities and states. And until Americans come to grips with what the Democrat-Socialists truly are and resolve to rise up against them en masse, the Progressivist campaign of destruction and despair will grind on.

A trifle too satanic?

Or demonic, if you want to be kind about it.

Joe Biden’s party must be thinking — if you call it thinking — that being psychotic isn’t enough… it’s time to go demonic! How else to explain the supernatural doings of the folks in charge of things in our nation’s capital. The casual observer might suppose that these things are spinning out of control, but you also have to wonder how much Joe Biden & Company are spinning them that way. Are they looking to start a war, for instance?

Three weeks ago, Ol’ White Joe called Vladimir Putin “a killer.”  This week, Ol’ Joe called Vlad on the phone and suggested a friendly in-person meet-up in some “third country.” In the meantime, Ol’ Joe essayed to send a couple of US warships into the Black Sea to assert America’s interest in Ukraine, the failed state whose American-sponsored failure was engineered in 2014 by Barack Obama’s State Department. Turkey, which controls the narrow entrance to the Black Sea, was notified that two US destroyers would be steaming through its territory. Hours after the announcement, the US called off the ships. Then, hours after Ol’ Joe proffered that summit meeting, his State Department imposed new economic sanctions on Russia and tossed out a dozen or so Russian embassy staff. How’s that for a coherent foreign policy?

What’s going on in Ukraine, anyway? The US and NATO have prompted Ukraine to move troops and tanks toward the ethnically-Russian breakaway Donbass region. Russia countered by massing 100,000 troops on Ukraine’s border. Though supplied with Western armaments, Ukraine’s ragtag and incompetent army has no ability to control the Donbass, nor do either NATO and the US have any real will to interfere there with their own troops — the logistics are insane. Mr. Putin’s elegant solution: evacuate the three-plus million Russians stuck in Donbass into Russia — which needs labor — ceding the empty territory to foundering Ukraine — soon to be an ungovernable post-industrial frontier between East and West. For a rich rundown on these matters, read Dmitry Orlov’s mordant disquisition on the subject: Putin’s Ukrainian Judo.

The lesson there is that the US has absolutely nothing to gain from continuing to antagonize Russia, and that the mentally weak Joe Biden is merely projecting the picture of a weakened and confused USA by keeping it up. Of course, a closer read might be that these hijinks are meant to distract from the more serious and consequential breakdown in relations between the US and China, currently engineered by the blundering team of Sec’y of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who went to Alaska recently to tell the Chinese delegation that they were morally unworthy of conducting trade negotiations, thereby torpedoing the trade negotiations that they went to Alaska to conduct. Smooth move fellas.

Actually, the REAL lesson there will be in what happens when decaying, once-mighty nations with hollowed-out, overly-tech-reliant, and cripplingly politicized military establishments get above their station and go strutting about on a global stage that became way too big for them while they were sitting back on their doughy duffs and going all soft and flubbery. It’s debatable whether Putin and his tough, much-better-trained and -led soldiery will be able to stop laughing at the dress-wearing poofters and Equal Opportunity officer corps we’re pleased to call “soldiers” long enough to kick Amerika v2.0’s transgender ass up between its shoulder blades.

And to think, that’s only the Foreign Policy Follies. James hasn’t even gotten around to Domestic Demonics yet, which are probably even worse.

Update! On the other hand, we still produce a few wild-eyed bastiges who build custom lawnmowers like this beauty.

(Via Bill)

Not too messianic update! I’ll just go ahead and confess right upfront that I did NOT see this coming.

Simone Peer, who once identified as an “ambassador for Satan” shared her testimony of how God used rocker Alice Cooper to deliver her from witchcraft.

Peer never thought practicing white magic was wrong, as she considered it the “good side” of the occult.

“I was a ‘white witch,’ and this was ‘white witchcraft’ that was divine and heavenly,” Peer said in a recent interview with CBN News. But later, she came to realize, “I was an ambassador for Satan.”

In 2017, desperately searching for truth and hoping to have peace in her life, Peer stumbled across a video of famous heavy metal musician Alice Cooper. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer became a Christian late in life and had been publicly sharing his testimony. In the video that Peer watched, Cooper talked about finding freedom in Jesus Christ, freed from alcoholism.

“For those who walked the same path that I did, Jesus is the answer that you are looking for. He truly is,” she declared.
In a 2014 interview with The Hard Music magazine, Cooper denounced “celebrity Christianity” and stressed to his fans that he is “nothing more than” a singer, and they shouldn’t look at him as an expert on Christianity.

“It’s really easy to focus on Alice Cooper and not on Christ,” he said. “I’m a rock singer. I’m nothing more than that. I’m not a philosopher. I consider myself low on the totem pole of knowledgeable Christians. So don’t look for answers from me.”

This might well be the greatest post of all time.

It’s a mad, mad, mad, MAD world

Inmates, running the asylum.

We used to have mental hospitals, sanitariums, asylums, for the seriously, and long-term, mentally ill. We locked dangerous people away. But too damned many of those facilities were terrible. Outright abuse of patients, well-intended treatments that were abusive, neglect… you name it, they did it. There was a backlash against them. We still have some comparatively small, specialized in-patient treatment centers, but for the most part, we started “mainstreaming” the mentally ill, the out-right crazed. Give enough drugs to keep them from completely flipping out, and hope they’ll keep filling the prescription and taking the meds.

We didn’t just mainstream crazy people, society mainstreamed insanity. A generation grew up watching crazy people acting out around them without knowing they were crazy. It became acceptable to act that way. And as more people picked it up, it set the example for even more.

That’s why we have people like “crewcut lady” who think sharing their psychotic breaks in videos to the world is a good idea. If they left it at that, fine. But they didn’t.

Our new batch of lunatics applied their crazy and illogic to everything in life. That’s how idjits like David Hogglet can demand that oh-so-mature sixteen year-olds be able to vote on life or death issues, but eighteen year-olds are to immature to be trusted with a firearm.

Not entirely sure whether that’s crazy per se, or just fucking stupid. No matter, I suppose; we all wind up in the same place either way.

That’s how we got Alexandria Occasionally-firing-Cortex’ grand plan to save the planet by strip mining it, and filling the holes with the toxic waste left over from manufacturing all those wind gennies and solar panels. Or her plan to simply print monopoly money to pay for it all, then tax every bit of it back to “prevent inflation.” (Hint: Paying for something, then taking the money back without returning the thing is theft. Paying people to work, then stealing the pay back though taxes is slavery.)

Contra my above statement, I am one hundred percent certain that Toothy McBigTits, however out-of-her-mind she may seem to sensible people, is really just plain old-fashioned stupid. That enough New Yorkers voted for her dumb ass to send her to Congress instead of keeping her in her titty-bar habitat humping the pole, as God intended? THAT’S what’s crazy.

That’s how we got a generation of socialist-indoctrinated schoolkids, who see so much crazy on the street that the crazy in classroom doesn’t faze them a bit.

So yeah; when I wrote about how everyone got too dumbed down to keep up the infrastructure? Remember that they are just dumb, they’re crazy. Enjoy operating appliances — “water-saving” clothes washer and dishwashers that take hours to not clean and use more energy, “water-saving” toilets that require multiple flushes to actually flush — designed by the criminally insane.

Bad enough, sure, but there’s worse.

United Airlines plans to hire and train 5,000 pilots, including some with no flying experience

It appears that the skies are about to get a lot less friendly, to repurpose United’s old ad tagline for use against them.

United Airlines says it will train 5,000 pilots this decade, including taking on applicants with no flying experience, and plans for half of them to be women or people of color.

United will borrow an approach used elsewhere, notably at Germany’s Lufthansa, by taking people at the beginning of their flying careers and training them at its own academy, which it bought last year. United will continue to draw pilots from traditional sources such as the military, however.

Airline officials began accepting applicants for United’s flight academy Tuesday.

The subject of a pilot shortage — it is not universally accepted that one exists — was hotly discussed in the airline industry before the coronavirus pandemic hit, and then receded as airlines around the world grounded planes and reduced their pilot ranks in response to the plunge in air travel.

Now travel is rebounding, although it hasn’t returned to 2019 levels.

Much as I’ve always loved to fly, I can guar-on-TEE I won’t be getting on any commercial flights now that I know that they no longer consider being, y’know, a fully-trained, capable pilot a more essential requirement for strapping on an airliner and calling him, zxher, or itself a bona fide, pro-fessional Bus Driver In The Sky than gender, ethnicity, sexual preference, Wokeness, or any of the myriad other irrelevancies to which our society now grants primacy of place over such oppressive and hateful inequities as aptitude and ability. In the unlikely event I’m forced to fly someplace, it damned sure won’t be on United, their having officially declared a newfound disinterest in recruiting the best, most qualified people for left-seater employment, preferring instead to bump Diversity and PC Feelgoodz right on up to Item One on the job application.

Nice of them to be upfront about their total abandonment of all standards of safety, rationality, and corporate responsibility, I suppose. But after a bonehead move like this, I’d rather crawl on hands and knees over a mile of alcohol-drenched broken glass than Fly United™. Henceforth, if I want to fly my brother and I will drive to one of several local civil-aviation facilities, rent ourselves a 172, Seminole, or something along those lines (or a King Air—YES!!!), and just DIY it, thenksveddymuch. We’ve actually done quite a good bit of that very thing over the years, whether for strictly Point A-to-Point B purposes or just an afternoon’s amusement. If you’ve never traveled on a small private aircraft, you can take my word for it when I say that it’s one heck of a lot more fun than flying commercial anyhoo.

Yes, renting a small plane ain’t exactly cheap, especially the fuel cost. But these days, the airlines ain’t exactly cheap either. Throw in a plethora of indignities and/or abuse at the halfwit whim of handsy, thuggish TSA mouthbreathers; interminable delays, endless lines, long walks, surly counter personnel, layovers, and scheduling cockups; and too much other terminal and concourse unpleasantness to list, before you even board. All of that, to then put your very life—quite literally—in the hands of some diversity-hire horrorshow who can’t even run the preflight checklist without more-competent supervision? Someone hired not because thorough vetting confirmed them as the best person for the job, but because there’s a box on the gooberment’s Mandatory Diversity Form that the airline needed to put an X in?

Yeah, no. Spendy or not, the fly-it-yourself option begins to look like a real bargain in comparison, don’t it?

Update! Diversity is NEVER a strength, in any business or industrial context. But in certain fields where the hazard to life and limb is both real and significant, diversity goes from being merely an expensive but more or less bearable nuisance to a serious threat.

After a hard year of reduced travel from the coronavirus, United Airlines decided it was time to announce a new initiative: “Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color.” This type of corporate mantra is so common these days as to be unremarkable. But this announcement led to a lot of critical comments on social media—the dreaded ratio—about how this initiative has nothing to do with making flying safer.

United’s policies, however, are a rather typical expression of the ideology of diversity, a successor to the earlier, more limited concept of affirmative action.

By the 1990s, diversity itself became an entire industry. There were diversity consultants and chief diversity officers. Everyone in the public and private sector now mouths platitudes in support of diversity. An important factor missing from all the diversity talk was data. One reason, of course, is that certain questions are simply too dangerous to explore. The wrong conclusion can lead to pariah status, as The Bell Curve authors learned.

This is why diversity is especially prominent in soft fields with vague metrics of productivity: higher education, government, journalism, nonprofit management, marketing, and human resources. These fields have diffuse responsibility and limited accountability. Bad work by a mediocre employee cannot easily be measured or found out.

In a sense, diversity is a luxury good. Profitable enterprises can absorb people who are not the best of the best, particularly for jobs where being the best is not an important requirement; other talented and hard-working people can cover the slack. In large organizations, there are also jobs where less skilled people can do relatively little harm, like “community liaison.”

For more tangible fields, like firefighting or police work, the costs of lowering standards are more tangible—sometimes directly causing real headaches—but there is little courage inside or outside organizations to speak frankly about the costs of diversity.

This brings us back to United Airlines. There are certain jobs—heart surgeon, pilot, oil tanker captain—where there is almost no room for error. There is a linear relationship of talent and skill, and those on the customer side, as well as the general public, insist on excellence. Mistakes are immediate and costly.

In response to customer criticism, United insisted there would be no degradation in standards or quality. This seems unlikely. In every other field where diversity becomes the watchword, excellence becomes a secondary priority. After all, excellence is rare. Whatever criteria were used to pick the best people before could simply be applied to all comers, the results listed first to last. Everyone knows this would undermine diverse outcomes.

Another important reality undermines diversity propaganda. Hiring and promotion are zero-sum games; to advance one group, one must artificially hold back another. For example, United has said it will definitely not hire more than 2,500 white men to be pilots no matter how skilled. These messages have an impact. Even so, we are told “diversity benefits everyone,” and it is “our” strength.

Surveying the country, it’s hard not to see a more general reduction in quality across the board…not in strength, but fragility. Consider the recent COVID episode. Does this look like a society with a lot of resilience, or one with highly skilled elites and decision-makers?

One would think the airline business is fundamentally simple: get people from point A to point B quickly, cheaply, comfortably, and, most important of all, safely. Presumably airplanes not falling out of the sky is just as important as who wins the Super Bowl.

But for United, safety has to fly coach.

Unfortunately for United, there are other options out there. After this self-inflicted debacle, UA can expect those alternatives to be carefully weighed, by a large number of prospective passengers—planeloads of ’em, one might say.

Questions, questions

James asks one which is incorrectly constructed due to his use of the wrong tense.

Will America Survive Joe Biden?

Wrong choice of protagonist as well, I see. Here’s a better version, corrected for phrasing, tense, and nomenclature: Did America survive Barrack Obama? The answer is all too obvious at this late stage of the game, alas, so I see no need to further belabor the point.

Nevertheless, Kunstler has a larger point to make here, involving not only the extravagantly sordid and venal Biden famiglia felonosa but the entire execrable FUSAn political system of which they’re such pluperfect representatives. Although it’s neither new nor surprising, it remains a point worth revisiting.

If you want to understand the complete failure of moral authority in America, seek no further than the gothic doings of the Biden family, especially now that the President’s degenerate son, Hunter, has been rewarded with a $2-million advance-against royalties (i.e., money up-front) from Simon & Schuster, and a gala publicity tour of the national news media designed to conceal his criminal culpability in evidence contained on the “laptop from hell” that he stupidly abandoned in a Delaware repair shop while lurching through his daily doings on one of countless drug jags he’s enjoyed between rehabs since his dad stepped back into national politics.

The failure is shared by a national news media that refuses to scrutinize the obvious financial crimes documented on the laptop, the FBI, which sat on the laptop through the months of Trump Impeachment No. One — while the computer contained evidence of Hunter’s grifting and money-laundering directly benefiting “the Big Guy,” Joe Biden, at issue in the impeachment — and the Department of Justice, which has been sitting on its hands pretending to conduct an investigation into all this.

The moral darkness of the family is beyond Shakespearean. It ranges from fantastically sordid personal indecencies like Hunter posting drug-fueled selfie sex videos with whores on the PornHub website, to intimations of lewd consort with his teenage niece, to the admitted fact of him bird-dogging his dead brother’s wife, Hallie… and into financial misdeeds that suggest Hunter sold out his country by peddling Joe Biden’s favor to agents of the Chinese communist party and other foreign nations. This body of unresolved allegations haunts the House of Biden like some stinking dead animal decaying under the Oval Office floorboards that everyone pretends not to notice.

The gross failure of federal authority, and abuse of authority, in this land is an ongoing process. You can date it back to wherever you like — say, to all the confusion and deception around the JFK assassination, or even further — but it had never been so broad, so deep, and so blatant as when Donald Trump became a candidate and all the resources of the CIA, DOJ, and the FBI were marshaled against him in the phony operations that became RussiaGate. Now, under Joe Biden, the system is entirely poisoned and corrupt.

Hunter is supposedly under investigation by the DOJ for tax fraud. Is that all? Are they not curious at all about the imputation of Chinese influence over decision-making in Joe Biden’s White House? Apparently, China paid for the influence it now enjoys. Millions of ordinary American citizens have seen the actual record, screen-captured from Hunter’s laptop, of email correspondence that details the many deals and payments made by Chinese companies run by the CCP to Hunter’s various shell corporations, as well as the memos between Hunter and his partners breaking down the payment schedule among Biden family members, including “the Big Guy.”

Is there not some larger — very large — question as to how this Manchurian Candidate with failing mental capacities, seemingly run by other figures in the shadows, came to be installed at the head of our government? The USA will not survive as a nation unless we seek to find out.

It appears less and less likely that the FUSA as currently constituted will survive whether we do or we don’t. Either way, the question is past its sell-by date, as is the mouldering mess of a nation it refers to. A far more cogent question now is whether it should survive—and whether Real Americans ought to hope that it does, or instead try to do whatever they can to help speed the process of collapse along.

SCIENCE!!!

COME ON, MAN.

Biden Claims Commercial Planes May Soon Go 21,000 MPH — Meaning a New York to LA Trip Would Take 7 Minutes

Uhhhh HUH. God, but I love this soooo much, I really do. Rave on, Gramps.

President Joe Biden claimed Wednesday that commercial aircraft would soon be able to travel at speeds of up to 21,000 miles per hour.

“I tell the kids, the young people that work for me — I told my kids, when I go on college campuses, they’re going to see more change in the next 10 years than we’ve seen in the last 50 years,” Biden said during an address about his proposed infrastructure legislation. “We’re going to talk about commercial aircraft flying at subsonic speeds, supersonic speeds, be able to figuratively, if you may, if we decide to do it, be able to traverse the world in an hour, travel at 21,000 miles an hour.”

Which, in case you didn’t know, is actually quite a bit faster than the ISS, which plods along at a bit under 18,000 mph or thereabouts. Never you mind, Gramps, you go ‘head on.

It was not clear what Biden meant by “figuratively.” The speed he suggested is roughly equivalent to Mach 28, which would make airlines capable of traversing the 2,400 miles between New York and Los Angeles in roughly seven minutes. The fastest commercial airliners presently travel at speeds of about 600 miles per hour, a little less than Mach 1.

Several companies do have plans in the works to increase top speeds to nearly 4,000 miles per hour, or Mach 5. Boeing announced plans to that effect in 2018. Florida-based Aerion announced similar plans last month for a Mach 4+ commercial airliner, which it said would be ready “before the end of the decade.”

Shyeeeaaah, like that’s ever gonna happen. I mean, I’m sure they can build ’em, but everyone who thinks the Safety Nazis will permit any such super-speedster aircraft to fly here without protest please raise your hand. Not to even mention that the sleek, beautiful, now sadly-defunct Concorde, a real pokealong at just over Mach 2, got itself banned from overland flight in the US and several other countries due to complaints about the noise from sonic booms.

It’s a beautiful, beautiful dream you have there, Gropey, it truly is. But if it ever comes true the FUSA won’t have had any part in it, it won’t be because of anything you did, and you won’t deserve an ounce of credit for it.

Not that any of that will stop him from trying to glom it for himself anyway, natch.

Burn, baby, burn

You have been warned.

Maya Echols, a prominent Black Lives Matter activist, threatened that cities will be “on fire” if Derek Chauvin is not convicted.

Side note: So what? I don’t live there.

Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, is currently on trial for the murder of George Floyd.

“If George Floyd’s murderer is not sentenced, just know that all hell is gonna break loose. Don’t be surprised when buildings are on fire. Just saying,” Echols threatened in a since-deleted video.

Trust me, sweetheart, no one with an IQ above room temperature will be at all surprised.

Echols’ threat is one people need to take seriously because, as we all remember from last year, it was the left-wing domestic terrorists in Black Lives Matter and Antifa who rioted, burned, assaulted, and killed in dozens of American cities for months and months and months.

Which means there is simply no question that if Chauvin is acquitted — as I pointed out last week — that what Echols is threatening will indeed happen. Worse still, the left’s second round of mayhem and death will likely dwarf the original campaign of domestic terror launched by Black Lives Matter and Antifa.

The good news is that if there is a second wave of domestic terror, it will, just like the first one, occur exclusively in shithole cities full of Democrats and run by Democrats.

The bottom line is monsters such as Maya Echols are destroying — I should say, further destroying —  their own neighborhoods and communities, while us Trump voters enjoy life in Rural America where we all own guns, but have no gun violence crisis; where we’re supposed to be the racists, but where all races live together with no racial tension; where we’re accused of being anti-environment, but our air and water and streets are clean.

If Chauvin is acquitted (from what I’ve read about the trial, it is my opinion he should not be acquitted), it’s going to be an acquittal in a Democrat-run city and a Democrat-run state full of Democrat voters. And then, the Democrat terrorists in Black Lives Matter and Antifa are going to run around and (once again) burn down Democrat-run cities full of Democrats.

This is not my problem. Because…

Out here in Rural MAGA Land — where our air and water and streets are safe and clean, and where people of all races and creeds live together in relative harmony — we’re just gonna sit back in our La-Z-Boys and watch terrorist Democrats terrorize Democrats and shake our heads at the ignorance and stupidity of it all.

The cities are lost, and I could not care less.

I seriously doubt it’s going to matter all that much whether Chauvin is acquitted or convicted. Having gotten near-explicit permission from elected officials and the police all last summer, the feral dolts of BLM are gonna do what they do no matter what. Whether fueled by primordial rage or celebratory glee, rioting, violence, and destruction will be the result. And, BLM having received near-explicit permission for the “mostly peaceful” mayhem from elected officials and the police all last summer, I can’t say I care a whole lot more than Nolte does at this point.

Mike WHO?

Now ain’t this rich.

Reports are that former Vice President Mike Pence is “laying the groundwork for [a] 2024 Presidential Run.”

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

But the only groundwork Pence should be laying is for his retirement. His surrender to the Democratic Party in the final days of the Trump presidency disqualifies him. Pence may very well be a “good man,” but he’s also a weak man and America’s future depends on men who are both principled and strong.

And most especially on principled men who are strong enough to honestly confront the fact that there’s no longer any hope to be found in elections. But now we come to the part I found interesting.

The contested election of 2020 was not unprecedented. In fact, it bears a striking similarity to the contested election of 1876. The Democratic Party in 1876 was comprised of ex-confederates, who had lost the Civil War, but had not lost their pro-slavery opinions. A Democratic victory foreshadowed a regressive future that Southern blacks feared would return them to slavery and Republicans feared would guarantee a proliferation of white supremacy. The fate of the nation hung in the balance.

The fate of our nation hung in the balance in a similar way in 2020. A Democratic victory foreshadowed a regressive future in our time, which has come to fruition because of the Biden Administration. In only three months’ time we have seen an unprecedented assault on our Constitution—our country is less safe, our border is less secure, our future prosperity is less certain, and our unalienable rights are methodically stripped away.

Republicans in 1876 were as concerned about rampant Democratic Party election fraud as we were in 2020. Rutherford B. Hayes, the Republican Presidential candidate 144 years ago, predicted that his defeat would be “by crime—by bribery, & repeating [voters]” in the North and by “violence and intimidation” in the South. Trump likewise predicted that the 2020 election  “will be, in my opinion, the most corrupt election in the history of our country.” Both Hayes and Trump were right. I won’t rehash every instance of Democratic voter fraud in 2020—it would be redundant for this audience and also would fill a binder as thick as the Democrats’ latest pork-ulus bill.

There are two stark differences between the contested election of 1876 and the contested election of 2020. One, unlike Hayes, who went to sleep on election night certain of defeat, Trump went to bed certain of victory. Two, unlike the congressional Republicans in 1876, who refused to concede and fought tooth and nail to prevent the Democrats from installing their illegitimate presidential candidate Samuel Tilden in the Oval Office, the Congressional Republicans in 2020 folded like cheap lawn chairs.

Read on for more fascinating stuff. The contrast between the actual statesmen we were still blessed with back then and the contemptible curs we’re plagued by now couldn’t be more striking—or appalling. This is the kind of true American history they just don’t teach in school anymore, and that ain’t no accident, either.

Springtime for psychotics

Land of the Woke, home of the insane.

All social hysterias run their courses. They run out of new gags, and out of new recruits. Their tropes grow tiresome, even comical, such as the Woke mainstays of “racism,” “misogyny,” and “white supremacy.” Their promptings reveal themselves as obviously dishonest. The punishments they seek seem increasingly warped and sadistic. The behavior they induce begins to look patently insane. That’s where America stands now.

To keep the flywheel of hysteria spinning during the Covid year of 2020, the Dems turned the death of George Floyd into a new-and-improved second coming of Michael Brown in order to juice BLM for the fall election. This time there were video cameras galore on the scene to capture what turned out to be an ambiguously deceptive storyline. Half the world flipped out at the sight of Derek Chauvin kneeling on George Floyd’s neck at that Minneapolis intersection. It sure didn’t look good. Now that former officer Chauvin is on trial for Murder 2 and 3 plus manslaughter, the prosecution spent a week demonstrating indeed how bad that looked, with one witness after another who described how bad it made them feel to watch George Floyd die. Of course, watching anything die can be horrifying. It was, in essence, a wholly sentimental case for the prosecution.

The defense is ready to present facts that tell a different story: of a multiple violent felon and drug abuser hopped up on dangerous levels of narcotics and stimulants, with an impressively dire array of medical problems including Covid-19, who refused to follow police instructions, and in a manner that appeared deranged, leading to his being subdued by an approved police procedure to prevent harm to himself and others. The Minneapolis city council already queered the trial before it started by granting a $27-million settlement to the Floyd family, officially imputing guilt on Mr. Chauvin’s side. BLM has made it clear that they will not accept an acquittal.

Even a conviction is liable to inspire riots as the victory dance revs into the warm spring nighttime. Judging by last year’s BLM uprisings in city after city, the precedent has been established that mob violence is justified and holds no consequences. Something tells me that this particular error in political thinking will not be indulged this time around. The Woke hysteria and the hustles that grow out of it have shot their wad. Something else has awakened in this land: a recognition that we are in serious trouble, that our adversaries are having their way with us as we act stupidly, that we have become our own worst enemies, that being insane is not a virtue.

Was it ever? It would give me the warm fuzzies if the string-pullers behind the Harris-Biden junta decided to shock all hell out of the BLM/AntiFags and shut down the upcoming orgy of rioting and destruction on opening night, with extreme prejudice. I don’t seriously expect it to happen, but who knows. The Democrat-Socialists’ ruffian army have served their purpose and aren’t really needed at the moment, so maybe this summer we’ll see some real entertainment to compensate for all those shuttered movie houses, bars, and concert halls.

FREEDOM!!!

"There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters."
Daniel Webster

“When I was young I was depressed all the time. But suicide no longer seemed a possibility in my life. At my age there was very little left to kill.”
Charles Bukowski

“A slave is one who waits for someone to come and free him.”
Ezra Pound

“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
Frank Zappa

“The right of a nation to kill a tyrant in case of necessity can no more be doubted than to hang a robber, or kill a flea.”
John Adams

Bertrand de Jouvenel

"It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged."
GK Chesterton

"I predict that the Bush administration will be seen by freedom-wishing Americans a generation or two hence as the hinge on the cell door locking up our freedom. When my children are my age, they will not be free in any recognizably traditional American meaning of the word. I’d tell them to emigrate, but there’s nowhere left to go. I am left with nauseating near-conviction that I am a member of the last generation in the history of the world that is minimally truly free."
Donald Sensing

"The only way to live free is to live unobserved."
Etienne de la Boiete

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid."
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"To put it simply, the Left is the stupid and the insane, led by the evil. You can’t persuade the stupid or the insane and you had damn well better fight the evil."
Skeptic

"There is no better way to stamp your power on people than through the dead hand of bureaucracy. You cannot reason with paperwork."
David Black, from Turn Left For Gibraltar

"If the laws of God and men, are therefore of no effect, when the magistracy is left at liberty to break them; and if the lusts of those who are too strong for the tribunals of justice, cannot be otherwise restrained than by sedition, tumults and war, those seditions, tumults and wars, are justified by the laws of God and man."
John Adams

"The limits of tyranny are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."
Frederick Douglass

"Give me the media and I will make of any nation a herd of swine."
Joseph Goebbels

“I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. There’s a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As government expands, liberty contracts.”
Ronald Reagan

"Ain't no misunderstanding this war. They want to rule us and aim to do it. We aim not to allow it. All there is to it."
NC Reed, from Parno's Peril

"I just want a government that fits in the box it originally came in."
Bill Whittle
